Memories vs Selfie memories
For many people, taking pictures is a fundamental part of everyday life. Document every detail to later edit and publish it on social media. How does this affect our real memories? Do we stop enjoying moments to capture them? Does the way we express ourselves change? Do we remember by photos and not by the moments lived? Currently, everything is stored in the cloud or in our phones impacting our ability to remember things. That leads to the consequence of instead of identifying the experience we recapture that moment in photos or videos. We stop seeing details and living the process because we are worried about capturing the best shots. We get distracted from the powerful things falling into a world of digital memory and not personal recollection.

This doesn't mean we have to stop taking pictures or sharing with others the experiences lived. It's just a reminder for trying to stop creating false memories and instead enjoy the present moment. To be more natural in our lives and not to be ruled by the number of followers, likes, and comments. Let the pictures be a part of the memory, but no the whole experience. Remember by ourselves and not by the pictures were taken. Don't lose memory, instead, make memories.

Meaning that if you do not show yourself, you do not exist. Technology is an essential part of our lives, but it shouldn't limit who we are. My Journey to Yoga
Yoga? What is that? A couple of years ago I started being curious about practicing yoga and learning about it. Not convinced it was for me, but after some research, I decided to try it.

Here I am for the first time, not sure what to expect nor do. The class is about to start, so I put my yoga mat and prepare my mind and body for this new experience. We start with some stretching exercises where I notice I am not flexible. The postures start to get difficult, and I giggle as I can´t achieve the moves. We finish with meditation where I feel amazed by how silent it is. I'm usually at busy and noisy places, but at this present moment, I feel calmer and peaceful. Wow, that was quite an experience I thought. I had no doubt I felt a connection with myself and felt better physically and mentally. By now, I have been doing yoga for years, and this is how my life has changed.

24 HOURS
You only have 24 hours in one day, make every second count.
This is how...
Doctor´s appointment, dinner with friends, balanced meals, playdate, work, workout, family time, date night, teacher’s appointment, field trip, travel, me time, yoga, spiritual time. Ahhhh, I need more hours in a day.
I’m a mother of two and most days I manage a lot of activities in one day, but there are some days that I wish that I had more than 24 hours in one day.
I love going to bed at night knowing that I had a productive loving day. My priority is and always will be my kids, my husband and the rest of my family. I love taking and picking up my kids to and from school, I love to take them to their extracurricular activities, and most of all I love playing with them and hear them laugh. During my me time, I enjoy working out every day, spending time on my own projects, watching my series, and reading my books, and if possible (I wish It was more often), I love to spend time with my friends. These are just some of the activities that I try to squeeze in 24 hours; sometimes I achieve it and sometimes I don’t.

As is commonly known, eating is a crucial and vital part of our health, but a question which has become ever more difficult to answer is what is the healthiest way to eat? Nowadays, we are constantly bombarded with information on the “right” ways to carry out a healthy diet. Some are so radically different that it makes us wonder which one is the most adequate way. So, in my opinion, the method you should choose is the one that suits and accommodates you the most, taking into account your main goal should be to “eat clean”.

Now, what does it mean to eat clean? It means that the food you are about to eat should be as close as possible to its natural state. “Clean eating” is a lot like healing your body because it eliminates what is simply not good for you; also, it decreases inflammation, lowers acidity, helps to have better control of your blood sugar and promotes healthy skin.
Furthermore, clean eating means ingesting fresh plant-based food filled with nutrients, such as vegetables, fruits, good fats and, if you decide to include animal protein, make sure it is organic and high-quality. Remember: clean eating is about creating balance as well as choosing the right kinds of foods.

If you love the world and love your children, you have a long term perspective of safeguarding our natural environment. And it takes perseverance to preserve. And our perseverance is being weakened by the digital era. Today we are surrounded by many digital devices that consume our minds in very disturbing ways. Because of this digital dependency and thirst for social acceptance, our family time is less and less part of our daily routines. The cost of this digital dependence is an immense yearning to be in contact with nature.  But such longing is eroded when we consume hours and hours of screen time. We must return this connection with nature to our kids. After all, they owned the earth; we only borrowed it from them.

I’m a mother of two, and the moments that I love the most is when my kids are in connection with Mother Nature. I see them most happy and full of energy when they are free in contact with nature. When my kids play with mud, when they chase a butterfly, when they are in contact with animals and take care of them, when they swim in the ocean or play with sand, their smiles create pictures that belong in my heart and not in a digital memory.
Because of threats against the preservation of our environment, it is crucial that we raise awareness with every new generation. We must make them feel and perceive that one of their key roles and responsibilities is to be respectful to our planet. It only takes one single educated human to take care of the earth. Yes, if we can induce such cultivation in each of our kids, such nurture will be replicated by hundred million times, and so in the future, preservation of earth will be a daily run and not a task.  Because in the end, it is our children’s children who own the earth, so let’s pass on this tenancy.

One of the many consequences of climate change and the increase in water temperatures in our oceans is coral reef bleaching. Coral reefs are home to 25% of all marine life on the planet, they provide food and shelter to millions of different species in the ocean. Coral bleaching is when corals start losing their true colors, and so a process of extinction begins. Millions of species will be severely affected if these corals die, fish that live and feed on corals, will die or move away, larger creatures will also move away, and this exodus will very badly affect their ecosystems. It is sadly proven that a decline in marine life and fish population affects human food supplies as well.
Here are some things you can do to make a small change in your habits to prevent coral reefs from bleaching:

Hawaii is the first place where they are banning sunscreens that kill coral reefs. Even though an increase in temperature is the main reason coral reefs are bleaching, it is also true that sunscreens with harsh chemicals also negatively impact the health of a coral reef.

Time has its own agenda. Time is predictable, we are not. Every year that someone sings to us HB2U, do we get one year wiser, or do we waste the opportunity?   Many people love their birthdays, love the celebration, love the compliments, love, the presents, the messages, the notifications, the posts, everything. But most of these people, don’t love adding a new number to their age every year. But really, what does such number means? Should we fear that number? Should we let that number let us feel less instead of more, or hold us down on the things we want to do. How should we measure age? With just one insignificant number or with how we feel, and how do we set and achieve our goals. Satchel Paige, a baseball legend once said, "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were? You are the only one that can answer that. Age is a reflection of our most profound sentiments. Let’s measure our life with these good vibrations, not with numbers:

Society has made us believe through years and years, that there is an age for everything. We have been told that there is a label for every phase of our lives; that we should do according to our age group. But don’t focus on the number. A lot of incredibly successful people have achieved their goals going against traditional age expectations. They never paid attention to the number, because their attitude made them believe in their oneself. They succeeded because they were happy with themselves.

Sunscreen is important for skin care and sun protection as it prevents anti-aging and damages produced by UV rays. Chemical sunscreens use chemical compounds to protect the skin from the sun while physical ones block the rays with mineral ingredients.
PHYSICAL SUNSCREENS
Physical sunscreens also referred to as mineral or natural sunscreens contain zinc oxide and titanium dioxide which are active mineral ingredients. These minerals work as blockers reflecting the sun’s harmful rays. These ingredients are natural broad-spectrum blockers. This means you are protected against UVA/UVB rays, as they remain on the surface of your skin and don’t absorb.

In the beautiful and modern world we inhabit, it is important not to form an opinion of people based on their physical appearance.  Nowadays­ contemporary women are bombarded with hundreds of images that intend to inspire them to be physically perfect. The notion that beauty lies within every woman is fading out. This distortion is the marketing driver for many brands that want to convince us that there is a way in which all women can be physically impeccable.

Social media is ruling and taking over lots and lots of time in people lives. What appears in wireless devices is a distorted view of reality thanks to filters and apps that alter the natural beauty of women. Young girls are growing up without giving importance to their intrinsic beauty. The perception that real beauty comes with the artistry of being natural is fading away. Models and influencers in Instagram rigorously retouch their posts not exposing their real looks and instead, it creates a make-believe story. The concept of perceived physical perfection is harmful when it comes to accepting bodies in relation to the ideas embodied. With the constant use of social media, women are regularly exposed to unachievable beauty standards causing damage in their confidence and self-esteem. Instagram is showing a “perfect lifestyle” that everyone is supposed to be living except for the person scrolling down.
Through filters, you look thinner, with eyes that look bigger, having a perfect six-pack and a beautiful beach glow. Yes, your look is “perfect” in a social media world, but that's not real life. And sadly, people are beginning to trade their real social life for a fictitious life in social media.
Young girls are boosting their confidence levels based on how many likes their pictures accomplish. Each like creates a positive feeling, but how long will this fake confidence last?

It is important to reinforce confidence and value more a person's unique personality, abilities, social skills and attributes instead of how someone looks. We should lead with the example to be mindful accepting our bodies with complete inner peace understanding that each person is different but equal. Lets never forget that the first look at beauty must come from looking inside people´s soul.
Audrey Hepburn once said, “Happy girls are the prettiest” and yes most beautiful people are the ones that feel confident with their own self’s and are happy with who they are.
