♡My Morning Skincare Routine (in details)♡
🧸Hiii Teddies! This post is going to be about morning skincare routine this time I hope you enjoy and get something out of this♡𓂃°。⋆˚
Again, I've been focusing on creating my routine for every week and just planning things in my life in general. I've already shared my nighttime routine with you guys: My Nighttime Skincare Routine) So it's time to share my morning one🥳
DISCLAIMER: Like what I said in almost every post, everyone has a different skin type!!! So that means depending on your skin type you'll have a different way of doing your skincare. I have not developed my skin type yet so I just do the basics in skincare so I can tame my acne.
Tumblr media
♡₊˚ 🦢・₊✧ My Morning Skincare Routine (in details)✧₊・🦢˚₊ ♡ -Wash your face with WARM WATER (this is important because warm water allows your pores to open and allows you to clean your face properly while cold water closes your pores) -Cleanser I do this daily, morning and night (if your next step is to use a scrub then wash your face with warm water if you aren't, wash your face with cold water) -Facial Scrub you should do this 2-3 times a week, I do it 2 times a week, Monday and Friday, in the morning (To take off the scrub, wash your face with cold water to close your pores) -Ice Roller I do this daily, morning and night -Exfoliate I do this 2 times a week, Monday and Friday, in the morning -Toner I do this 2 times a week, Monday and Friday, in the morning and night -Face Mist I do this daily, morning & night -Serum I do this daily, morning & night -Moisturizer I do this daily, in the morning & night -SPF I do this if I am going to go outside (even if it's winter! No excuses, wear sunscreen!)
That's it! I hope you liked my routine and found it useful! Have a great productive day💕

How to know your skin type
There are generally 5 skin types: normal, oily, dry, combination, and sensitive. I do think you can have sensitive skin while also having other types of skin. See my skin type.
Wash your face with a cleanser and pat it dry (don't wipe it dry, be gentle).
Wait for 30 minutes.
Gently press tissue paper or blotting paper on different areas like your nose, forehead, cheeks, and chin. (Use different pieces for each area.)
Hold up each of the pieces of tissue or blotting paper to a light source and see how much oil is on it.
If you see a big stain of oil on your paper, that area of your skin is oily. Foreheads, noses, and chins are usually the oiliest places. If there is little to no oil on the paper, that area of your skin may be dry or normal. To tell the difference, dry skin usually feels tighter when air-dried like this. If it is very dry, you could also see some dry flakes of skin.
[Def. Blotting paper is used to blot your face when it's oily and to remove some of that oil.]

How to find your skin type
Tumblr media
Finding your skin type is one of the most important factors when building your skin care routine. There are different skin types and choosing products that fit your skin is very important. Each skin type has a different need so finding products that work for your skin will make all the difference.
The five main types are normal, oily, dry, combination, and sensitive.
Normal skin is skin that is balanced. It is neither oily, dry, or sensitive.
Oily skin produces an excess of sebum. If you have oily skin it can feel shiny and greasy. Oily skin can sometimes leave your pores clogged or congested.
Dry skin can feel tight and dry. Dry skin is the opposite of oily skin, your skin does not have enough oil.
Combination skin is skin that is both oily and dry. Usually the T-Zone (forehead, nose, and chin) are the most oily parts of the skin and the cheeks are the dry areas of the skin.
Sensitive skin is less about how the skin looks and more about how the skin feels. Sensitive skin is more vulnerable to external irritants and different ingredients in skin care products can irritate your skin.
So how do you find your skin type? There are two main methods of finding your skin type: the bare-faced method and the blotting sheet method.
The Bare-Faced Method
To use this method, start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser and gently pat your skin dry. After cleansing, wait 30 minutes and then observe your skin. If your skin is feeling tight and there are dry patches, your skin is dry. If your skin is oily and shiny you have oily skin. If the shine is only in your T-Zone, you probably have combination skin. If your skin is feeling irritated you probably have sensitive skin. If your skin feels comfortable then you have normal skin.
The Blotting Sheet Method
The next method that you can use to find your skin type is the blotting sheet method. To use this method, take a piece of blotting paper and gently pat the different areas of your skin and hold the sheet up to the light to see how much oil it has absorbed. If the sheet is soaked in oily skin, you most likely have oily skin. If there is no oil left over on the sheet, then you have dry skin. If there is only oil on the spots that you used to wipe your T-Zone, you most likely have combination or normal skin.
Now that you have found your skin type it will be easier to choose products that are a right fit for you and will help improve your skin.

Getting To Know Your Skin Type🧖🏽‍♀️
Everyone wants that youthful and radiant skin, because of which we buy innumerable brightening serums, gel lotions, night creams etc… without even know what is our skin type, we even buy similar products like what our mom is using or a friend that may have recommended a product because it worked magic for their skin but it does no good for ours. Getting to know your skin is really really important as it would be a guide to providing your skin with what it wants and needs. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀.
𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 : This Skin type doesn’t experience any excess oiliness nor dryness, and is generally free of visible pores, acne and sensitivity.
𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 : Skin is considered dry when it lacks water and natural oils. This skin type may have rough texture, visible lines and wrinkles, dullness and lack of elasticity, as well as increased sensitivity and a tight, uncomfortable feel.
𝗢𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 : Oily skin produces too much sebum, and is likely to experience enlarged pores, blackheads, pimples and unwanted shine.
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 : This Skin type has areas of dryness and areas of oiliness. It’s common to have dullness and rough texture in some spots and enlarged pores, blackheads and shine in others (especially around the nose, chin and forehead).
𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻 : Sensitive skin types tend to react to external factors, including skincare. Signs of sensitive skin can include stinging, burning and redness.
Stay tuned for more great skin care tips !!!

These moisturizers are all great and work well for different skin types. The Versed dew point moisturizing gel cream is best for people with oily skin, the First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream is best for people with dry skin, the Glow Recipe Plum Plump hyaluronic cream is best for people with combination skin, and the Selfless by Hyram daily barrier support moisturizer is best for people with acne-prone skin. Everyone’s skin is different, so we need to use moisturizers based on our skin type and our skin goals. I’ve talked about many of these moisturizers before, and although they don’t all work for my skin, they have great ingredients to target the needs for specific skin types.
I’ve already posted reviews and more explanation for the Versed dew point moisturizing gel-cream, the Glow Recipe Plum Plump hyaluronic cream and the Selfless by Hyram niacinamide and maracujá daily barrier support moisturizer. I’ll be posting a full review for the First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream soon!
I am not a professional. I’m just someone who loves skincare and wants to share my research and opinions.

Hey guys,
We all know I love to try out new products and honestly I am embarrassingly late to the Kiehl's party. I have been recommended this brand from friends and family for such a long time, honestly my mum even swears by their facial cream. I decided it was time to try out some bits. I recently discovered that John Lewis in oxford Street now have a counter so I could go and talk to the consultant about what products would suit me the best.
I went to the counter after having done some research about products that might suit my skin and they were literally all the products I was recommended (I must be doing something right!). After talking about my skin time I was even given a little sample of a intense face toner to dry out blemishes (mini blue bottle) and a little body wash (little white bottle) which was so sweet of the consultant, he was so sweet and passionate about the products. So let's chat about the 3 products I did pick up.
Starting with the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser, 150ml , £17.00 . I need to have a facial cleanser in skincare routine I do whether its day or night I'm convinced products like these have saved my skin and improved it from what it was. This oil free cleanser is a lightweight formula to remove excess oil and impurities leaving your skin looking more balanced. What I personally love about this product is that it does not dry my skin out every time I use it. With some cleansers this can be a issue but this product leaves my skin feeling so soft and it gives my skin a real deep cleanse. Using oil free products really compliments my skin type because I have oily combo skin and using this as my face wash before makeup I always find it sits better on my skin.
Next up we have the product I actually went looking to buy, meet the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream, 125ml , £47.50 . Now the reason I wanted to buy this cream is because the product value for price, compared to a 30ml Magic Cream from Charlotte Tilbury for £49.50, I can get the Kiehl's 125ml cream for £2.00 cheaper. Isn't that insane? So many reviews said that they got this cream as a slightly more affordable option compared to other high end brands( it wasn't hard to work out what they were talking about). Luckily this cream lives up to the hype. This lightweight moisturiser helps your skin keep moisture throughout the day while keeping your skin really soft and hydrated. I love how great it makes my skin before makeup and at night before bed. It's such a lightweight formula that it quickly sets into your skin which is a big win for me.
Lastly we have a product I didn't plan on buying but honestly the sales guy was good I had to get it. Let's chat about the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner, 250ml , £18.00 .Now Toners are something that is quiet new to my skin care routine because in all honesty I didn't get the hype ( I know I'm a bad person) but now I'm obsessed and use one every evening and morning. The oil-free toner is formulated to visibly reduce excess oil on skin's surface, while leaving it instantly fresh and healthy looking. This toner is alcohol free so it does not dry out your skin and gently removes makeup without stripping the skin. What I love most about this product is being oil-free means it doesn't leave my face all shiney and you can really see a difference with your skin if you have oily skin like me.
I love these products and I've been using them for over a month so I can say in my personal experience these products work really well for me. If you live near Oxford Street why not pop by and talk to the consultants. They are great at recommending products and really listen when you talk about areas of your skin you want to fix. Click the links above to find out more about each product.
Lots of love

♡How to Find Your Skin Type♡
🧸Hey Teddies! My first blog is about how to find your skin type. (I will make a few more posts about how to deal with your skin type the right way, soon!). Knowing your skin type is important because it helps you know what products you need to use in your skin care routine and gives you the knowledge of what your skin really needs. DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor, so please don't come for me😭 (But most of this information is dermatologist-approved!)
Tumblr media
The main types of skin types are dry, sensitive, oily, and combination. To find out which is yours go through the skin types below and follow the instructions. Good luck! ;D
★1★ Wash your face. Right after washing it, touch it. How does it feel? If it feels tight then your face is dry. If it feels cleaner then you may have oily skin. If your T-zone (your T-zone is your forehead, nose area, and your chin) feels clean, but your cheeks feel tight, you may have combination skin.
★2★ Pinch your cheek. If it forms wrinkles, you may have dry and/or combination skin. If it is smooth, check if you have oily skin!
★3★ Look in the mirror. What do you see? If you see red, flaky patches all over, you most likely have dry and/or sensitive skin. If your face is shiny you have oily skin. If you have both then you have combination skin.
★4★ Wait an hour after washing your face and dab your T-zone with a tissue. Look at your tissue and check if any oil has gotten on it. If you do see oil that means you have oily or combination skin.
Dry Skin
If you have dry skin the texture is flaky and rough, or you'll see peeling skin.
Oily Skin
If you have oily skin then your face looks shiny and feels smooth, and later on in the day, it feels greasy. The oily parts of your face have the most acne or pimples that occur there. Your pores are big, especially in your T-zone.
Combination Skin
The combination skin type is the combination of oily and dry skin. Your face will be oily in the T-zone, but dry anywhere else. You may have more acne in your T-zone than on your cheeks.
Sensitive Skin
If you have sensitive skin then your skin can be itchy, and get rashes. Your skin reacts to certain products and cleansers that can cause it to get red, itchy, and dry.
If these skin types do not apply to you, congrats!!! You have normal skin and do not have any huge problems to deal with. You have smooth skin, but you'll still have to deal with acne. Special treatment for you isn't needed :)

How To Know If Skin Care Routine Is Working
Tumblr media
With so many skincare products on the market, it can be difficult to determine the success of your program. However, there are a few factors to consider. First, search for apparent improvements in your skin's texture, tone, clarity, smoothness, and moisture. These adjustments indicate that your routine is working well. However, if your skin becomes irritated, red, or inflamed after using a certain product, it may be time to move to another.
Understanding your skin type is critical to developing an efficient skincare plan. Dry skin is distinguished by tightness, flakiness, and a dull complexion. For dry skin, choose light, hydrating lotions containing hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and ceramides. Oily skin produces abundant sebum and responds well to lightweight, oil-free moisturizers and cleansers. Combination skin requires treatments that manage oil production while not drying out the skin. Sensitive skin should be treated with fragrance-free, hypoallergenic, and gentle products.
An effective skincare practice includes consistent skin texture, less breakouts, and better skin tone. Smooth and silky skin suggests that your regimen is effective, but rough or dry regions may require changes. Breakouts should lessen with a consistent program, resulting in clear and healthy skin. Additionally, an improvement in skin tone indicates that your routine is working.
