Sadly, my laptop is currently busted and will be in repairs for the week (which is why I haven't been posting much) but as soon as it's back I'll be more active here! I'm still answering questions and what not of course.

Why do you think dc keeps ignoring dickbabs outside comics? Except for young justice,From the arkham games to Lego Batman, everything in the past few years ignored them. Even older things like the cartoon "the Batman" had them more like siblings than a couple. The new animated movies are based on the new52 which had quite a bit of dickbabs moments but still nothing. oracle was supposed to be in the titans show but that was canned. I almost expect them to not be together in whatever they appear

(cont) in even the dceu. Especially cuz their movies will have different writers/directors so it may be hard to co-ordinate a relationship between them. Is it cuz they aren’t well known enough among general audiences? But they never will be until they showcase them more. *sigh* sorry if I come across as negative I just love these two and needed to rant to someone who’s passionate about them lol plus anti dickbabs folks keep gloating about it, saying dickbabs is dead and what not so it stings :(

It likely has to do with current notoriety outside of comics, I guess. I try to remain positive about their appearances, but it can be hard with how they seem to avoid it. I do think we see a better chance at them being a thing in the movies since they’re both getting their own movies and it would be good for marketing to have these characters pop around in each other’s movies (not just exclusive to Dickbabs). However, I wouldn’t be shocked if they gave both of them throwaway random love interests instead of putting Dick and Babs together in the films. But again, this is supposed to be a universe and it makes much more sense to establish connectivity in the universe. What better way to do that than to have crossovers? So, I’m not quite giving up on the movie front.

Also, just because Oracle isn’t appearing in season 1 of Titans (to our knowledge), doesn’t mean she won’t pop up later. Barbara Gordon makes a lot of sense especially if Jason Todd and other Batfamily members are going to make appearances there. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for Dickbabs there though (unless maybe hinted at as a past thing), as the Titans show is inevitably going to focus on Dick and Kori (I still hate how old these characters are supposed to be). 

The animated universe has never really been kind to Dickbabs and hasn’t since Batman Beyond revealed the whole Babs and Bruce thing (*gags*). The animated universe also seems very dead set on focusing on Dick during his Titans days and doesn’t really go beyond that (excluding that God awful “Batman and Harley Quinn” movie). A lot of people want to see Dick kept apart from the Batfam and feel Babs ties him down to that (which I wholeheartedly disagree) and animators tend to go in that direction. They also tend to lean towards which ever couple is of their preference. The writers of Young Justice actually like Dickbabs though, so there’s some hope there. 

Oh god, do you think any members of the Batfam have walked in on each other? Man, that would cause some drama via text....

how do you feel about people saying Dick and bab's whole relationships was a retcon? I mean certain aspects of it was, like the fact that babs was originally 7 years older than him and they de-aged her or adding certain flashback scenes to their batgirl and robin days that originally weren't there. But even so, does it really matter? Does it make they're relationship less meaningful if they were not originally meant to be together but somehow found their way to each other anyway?

It’s not a total retcon. There are aspects of it that WERE retconned, as is common in comics, but a lot of it was always sorta there. In fact, this post from my other blog pretty much proves it isn’t.
