Love Pup is a dark purple dog from chapter 2 of poppy playtime, she only could be seen in the files that I think once exist reason why I draw her because she was something unique so I thought maybe why not add her in along the others!

When the prince told Rapunzel to let down her beautiful hair,

she threw it out the window without any question or care

Quickly ascending the tower, no time for him to rest

When he reached the top, she ripped the heart from his chest.

Swim Little Mermaid, singing your song of the seven seas

Ariel lured Eric in, and cut his legs off at the knees

As Sebastian sang his tune, there was one thing Eric understood,

that he would die here in the ocean, and he was now fish food.

Oh sweet little Snow White, the fairest one of them all

When you have a magic mirror who needs a crystal ball

She came to find that jealousy, lie in the vanity of a witch

So she baked the queen an apple pie and poisoned that envious bitch.

Clean this mess, scrub the floors, hurry, and make the bed

Now they can't boss her around, she chopped off their head

The animals lent a hand as they rejoiced around Cinderella,

while she mopped up the blood with the skin of a prince fella.

They all lit their torches, rallying up hatred in their home

He sharpened his claws while she delved into her spell tome

Behold the Beauty, who has a deep passion for the Beast

Belle and her love had the townspeople's flesh as a feast.

Mulan tightens her armor, gets close, and plays a boy

When she sliced them all apart, she bathed in rogue joy

To feed her bloodlust, knowing she must do what she can;

she maneuvers the battlefield, draining the life out of Man.

Mix the ingredients well, food for the soul never needs a reason

Pull the legs from a frog, add a pinch of voodoo as a season

Tiana wanted everyone to be a part of her virtuous treat

So she skinned them alive and roasted their body's meat.

Well what was a girl to do, when they chose to invade her land

They tried to take her by force and then ask for her hand

Pocahontas conjured up the forest, now nature will deliver

She moved the winds with her breath and drowned them all in the river.

Prim and proper little Jasmine, then you will find yourself a groom

But she doesn't want love, she wants their guts strewn across the room

Every day they call upon her, entering her halls one by one

If they knew she planned to rip them apart, perhaps they would run.

Spin the wheel, but what becomes of the one who pricks a tip

She grew a lascivious addiction to watching blood slowly drip

Dragging them below the necropolis, to the realm of twisted dreams

Aurora fed off of their nightmares, unraveling their souls from the seams.

So many princesses and maidens, around the fantasy world,

anchored to manipulative desires, for them to be a perfect girl

Well let us add some more ink, darken up the picture we draw

Some girls are damsels in distress, and some like it raw!

the adversary is such an interesting route because through most of the game routes, most actions you can take are not locked behind specific dialogue options, and the actions usually don't need to be "repeated" to achieve a specific path through the route. for example, the path to freeing the specter only requires that you tell her you want to free her, let her possess you, and that you not stab yourself with the knife, in order to achieve that.

but the adversary has a few unique and somewhat non-intuitive actions you can take with her (flipping her the bird and even having her allow you to stab her in order to prove she can't die) that are locked behind dialogue options, and those dialogue options don't even clearly point to you being able to unlock those actions. additionally, you have to repeatedly choose to fight her in the exact way she wants if you don't want her to evolve into the fury or the eye of the needle.

i guess it fits to have the route most defined by stubbornness and rivalry requring you to pick a course of action and stick to it, but the amount of unique actions allowed within this route (even leaving her in the basement can trigger some unique scenes!) makes me wonder if it was the first developed. most routes in video games have "convergence" points with very few subvariations in order to cut down on having to develop too many distinct outcomes. while it's true that slay the princess has an unusual amount of distinct variations in each route, it's still also got a lot of convergence points that reuse the same art pieces with just slightly different dialogue. it feels significant to me that the adversary has a lot of unique scenes and art compared to some of the other princesses

#narrates #slay the princess #do note that EVERY SINGLE ROUTE however has a lot of hidden and interesting stuff going on with each option you can take.#it just feels like an early artifact of development that you can DISCOVER REALLY FREAKY LORE ABOUT HOW THE PRINCESS WORKS #locked behind a set of kind of nonintuitive dialogue options that occur while actively fighting her #it's a good scene though. recommended.#also HUGE shoutout to being able to SCARE the adversary by fighting her unarmed and getting up repeatedly #after she's literally beat us into pulp #great way to do a horror turn ONTO a being who has always been the source of horror in the past #haha we're the zombie creature now!#slay the princess is great I think everyone who likes horror games should give it a shot :)
