I noticed that twilights unicorn horn has a opaque glowy quality to it (it also doesn’t have stripes that I can discern) compared to rarity, in this AU did twilight start as a Pegasus or is that glowing-ish horn part of being an alicorn?
Yes actually! Twilight in this AU started as an earth pony (that's actually why her wings are darker than her body as well)
though yes, the horns look different between unicorns, alicorns and ascended ponies (like twilight)

I was waiting for an actual ask of this to answer it -- it's not really plot relevant and more just an inworld thing:
The * means the pony is a hybrid (Specifically, Fluttershy is part deer)
