Pairing: Yelena Belova x reader platonic

Summary: Reader gives Yelena a spare key to her apartment.

A/N: Hey everyone! This is my first Yelena headcanon. I hope you enjoy!

You heard a knock on the window and you immediately knew what that was or should I rather say who?

You turned around and saw your best friend Yelena climbing in through your window.

Yelena does this every time when she comes over.

The first time she did it you were watching TV when you suddenly heard a bang behind you.

You screamed and grabbed the remote control from beside you and were ready to hit the person with it.

"Stop the screaming it's just me."

"Oh my god Yelena you can't scare me like that!"

"Sorry." She said and then noticed the remote control in your hand.

"Were you about to hit me with that." Yelena pointed at it.

"It was the first thing I saw." When you said that Yelena chuckled.

"Why did you even came through the window and not through the door like every other person?" You asked her

"Because I'm not like every other person." Yelena said in full confidence.

"Hey, you sill here y/n?" Yelena asked and brought you back to reality.

"Yeah. I'm glad you came over because I have something for you." You walked over to the table next to the door, took your spare key and walked back to Yelena.

When you stood in front of Yelena you said

"I want to give you a spare key so you don’t have to keep coming in through the window."

She looked at the key in your hand and then back to you.

"So you can come over every time you want. I mean yeah you do that now too. But it's different, you can.... maybe it was a stupid idea. I..."

"No it's not. Thank you, it really means a lot to me." Yelena interrupted you and made you smile.

Bishova is such a funny ship name imo, 'cause "fag" in portuguese is "bicha" so whenever I read "bishova" inside my head, it reminds me of "bichona" (aka "big fag" in portuguese) lmaooo

Anyways. Pls feel free to share some of your bishova headcanons (even though I don't even go here lol). I kinda see the ~vision~ from that one scene w/ them that I saw (yeah, I'm gay and weak, sue me)

I HATE the ship name soooo much lmao I was on the ground floor of the ship (Like, pre-hawkeye, using their interactions in the Thompson BW run for inspo) and I was gunning for it to be Katelena but I was 100% outvoted.

I'm gonna give you a couple SFW ones and then a couple NSFW ones because I WILL make you a Marvel girlie if it takes the rest of our tumblr lives

Yelena has some food issues (food insecurity/aversions, trouble acknowledging her fullness cues) and Kate is the one who helps her figure out how to treat those. One thing they do is that when they go out to eat, Kate boxes up half of Yelena's entree for her when it comes to the table so Yelena doesn't eat herself sick.

They're both neurodivergent-Yelena was an excellent assassin but in the MCU there's little to no suggestion that she ever did honeypot missions and I think it's because her social cues aren't great. Kate absolutely has hyperactive ADHD.

I think Yelena enjoys being read aloud to. She finds it soothing. Kate will read news articles and books and shit out loud to Yelena with Yelena's head in her lap.

They are both obviously dog people but Yelena is *obsessed* with Bucky's cat Alpine and will wander around with Alpine tucked in her hoodie. Alpine does not like Kate. Kate will MAKE Alpine like her if it's the last thing she does.

Antonia Dreykov is not much of a Kate fan at first. She finds Kate soft, loud, overly dramatic, and painfully naive. Then Yelena almost dies on Antonia's watch, and Kate steps up in a very serious, real way. That wins Antonia over to the Kate side.

NSFW

Yelena's the bottom. I love bottom Yelena. She's a spoiled, bratty sugar baby pillow princess and Kate is OBSESSED with the power trip it gives her to see Yelena like that.

Tbh I'm not into asexual Yelena and less and less inclined to even discuss it but I DO think Yelena has hangups and triggers around sex. The girls take the physical intimacy part of their relationship at a GLACIAL pace, and there are times where something Kate says or does ends in a meltdown or panic attack for Yelena. It makes Kate feel very guilty. Yelena makes jokes about it, which does not provide the levity that she THINKS they do.

Kate doesn't really like to wear pants much, especially in their room/their own apartment once Yelena is secure enough to live with just Kate (I think for a while Yelena lives with Bucky and thus Sam, and Kate ends up there too-Yelena gets anxious alone and needs to learn to person). Yelena regularly grabs her ass and squeezes before BOLTING to trick Kate into chasing her and throwing her on the bed.

i feel like nat would set you two up bc of how oblivious/nervous the two of you are

not before giving you a stern warning (threatening your life) to not hurt her little sister

yelena is a little shocked but relieved that you share feelings for her

at first she’s a bit closed off but opens up once she knows you’re really there for her

she needs a lot of assurance :)

she isn’t experienced in relationships so usually you just straight up tell her if something is bothering you in the relationship to avoid miscommunications and arguments

if you complain to her about your work, coworkers, or just having a bad day, she’s already up and asking who she needs to kill

she’s not big on pda, the occasional brush of your hands by hers and lingering gazes leave her wanting more

when you’re in private though she loves to cup your cheeks to kiss you firmly

you love playing with her rings when you two hold hands

you end up wearing some of them

they remind you of her whenever you’re alone and absentmindedly fiddle with them

she buys matching vests for you (and fanny)

when you two spend the night in, she’ll put on some random show and play with your hair while snuggled up on the couch

you convince her to braid your hair

in turn she lets you do her makeup

whenever she comes back from missions and meets you she envelopes you in such a firm hug and buries her face in your neck murmuring how much she misses you

after, there’s always some small souvenir she gives you, she says they reminded her of you during her missions

yelena wants to experience things she never got to as a child, so you love taking her to the movies, festivals, and silly little adventures

- Yelena is not the best at dealing with emotions.

- if she happens to get jealous of you, you're most likely not gonna hear her say "I was jealous" right away.

- if she spots you across a room with someone else;

- someone who's looking at you, touching you, with more intent than they should;

- she will keep the feeling to herself at first.

- feeling jealous because of someone she loves, is very new to Yelena;

- and she's not happy with how much it can hurt and bother her.

- however, she will keep it to herself;

- Yelena was trained to endure pain and hide emotions, so that's exactly what she will do;

- that feeling will be locked inside until it forces itself out.

- if your relationship is new, or you're not even in a relationship with her yet;

- Yelena will keep her distance;

- for her, she has no right to feel that way, so she suffers in silence;

Omg I have so many but sure, all of her time under the red room was a blur except for the small flashes she had of her and Natasha, and Melina (Alexei as previously stated was barely present), when she was freed it was like coming up for air after drowning, she was navigating a world she did not know how to navigate, atleast for the first couple of months, she also harbored a deep anger towards everyone and everything (especially for Nat, not really but she felt betrayed)

Steven Grant. While her friendship with Marc Spector was not a surprise, her good relationship with Steven shocked virtually everyone. Yelena loves how kind (and even naive) Steven can be, and although he's scared of the blonde from time to time, the man is quite amused by the girl's goofy personality.

I have so many Yelena headcanons posted I feel like I might run out, so these are absolutely random and off the top of my head.

Absolutely obsessed with the Oreos + peanut butter combo. Coincidentally, also a big fan of the Lindsay Lohan Parent Trap.

Hisses at feral cats but also periodically feeds them.

I stole this from TikTok (if someone knows the creator's name tell me so I can direct people their way), but because the Red Room pheromone brainwashing was developed from the Winter Soldier program, Yelena treats Bucky like her long-lost grandfather. She calls him deda/dedushka. Bucky takes to it surprisingly well.

Whenever anyone brings up the fact that Alexei is her father, she says "he's not my real dad". Whenever anyone shit talks Alexei or reiterates that he's not her biological father, she says, "hey! that's my dad you speak about."

I feel like Yelena and Matt Murdock have run into each other at some point, and I'm obsessed with the mental image that brings me.

"You can't just shoot people without reason."

"I am number one assassin in the world, horny boy. I can do as I want."

Hates the little outfits people dress their dogs up in on the basis that the freedom to choose your own self expression is extremely important to her. Yelena's dog had the option of at least three different collars and she went with the one that it ran to first.

Unhinged gift giver. Finds the thing that you were 100% sure was sold out, refuses to tell you how she obtained it beyond "I know a guy".

yelena keeps telling kate that she has to listen to this great song, her absolute favorite song, so kate is like "ok what is it" and she pulls up spotify on her phone, ready to search for it, but yelena says "oh no." she then whips out a cassette and eventually yelena gets it playing and kate hears the first lyrics and notes and just audibly groans, "this is like an 8 minute song?!" but yelena just shushes her and eventually kate sees the recognition and nostalgia in yelena's eyes and her heart aches for her friend who has been through, still goes through, so much.

Because Yelanas birthday was right around the corner and you knew she never really celebrated her birthday you decided to surprise her.

Yelena told you that you don't need to do anything special but you wanted to plan something beacuse she deserves it.

You bought all kind of things to decorate your apartment.

You called Melina, Alexei and Natasha and explained to them what you had planned.

With Wanda's help you made a cake.

Melina, Alexei and Natasha came at the perfect time and helped you decorate everything.

You thought of inviting Wanda and Kate too but then decided that this day should only be with Yelena's family.

Maybe you'll make another party with Kate, Wanda and some other friends.

Because Yelena doesn't live with you yet it was easy to surprise her.

You asked her to come over to spend some time on her birthday.

When you heard the knock on the door you all hide somewhere.

When Yelena opened the door you all jumped out.

Yelena was very surprised but imediately began to smile when she saw her family.

You all gave Yelena a hug.

Later you gave her your presents and ate the cake.

You all had a wonderful and fun time together.

Someone just saw the team announced isn't it anon? I don't know everyone that well, so forgive me if something here goes too far out of character.

1: What color(s) do I associate with them?

9: What kind of dance would they do at 3am?

Valentina doesn't dance, ever. | Ava would be listening to music coming from the neighbors, maybe a famous pop or electronics when looking for something to eat and without realizing she would try a few steps, but nothing too big. | Alexei will dance to anything if he's drunk enough, and he usually is. | Yelena isn't much of a dancer after the red room, but I like to imagine her returning to New York to visit Kate Bishop at her apartment and being fascinated to find the girl dancing at dawn while heating up pasta. She would break in through the window, and join the surprised Bishop. | Bucky is a born dancer, but he became very reclusive after Hydra. Sam is definitely working on it, and he doesn't miss an opportunity to pull his friend-husband in a dance. | I don't care about John. | Antonia definitely goes ballroom dancing with her girlfriend.

27: What genre of music do they listen to most often?

I have no idea about Valentina, John or the red guardian. | Yelena loves old rock and probably listens to national songs in Ukrainian/Russian as well. Bucky is passionate about classics from his own era but is trying to give new music a chance, especially the ones Sam recommends. I feel like Ava likes hip-hop, and Antonia likes melodies that aren't too stimulating (she probably feels charged all the time because of the Taskmaster chip).

hi lovely vy could u do headcanons where yelena works for shield and always does missions alongside the avengers (even if she’s like 16/17) and so everyone sees her as super mature for her age but she’s still just a teen and faces some of the normal struggles like body image problems/ depriving herself of food because she’s been told that her worth only comes from her appearance. and maybe steve and tony and bucky all notice at separate times and try to help her and come to the realization that they’ve all been treating a child as an adult

She's surrounded by people who care for her, people she trusts

She contributes greatly in the city's - or rather world's - security

She's never been at a higher point as far back as she can remember

Then why does this dark raincloud still dangle itself above her head?

Why is it raining down doubt, hesitation and reluctance into her mind?

Why does it leave her sleepless at night?

And why does it get her stuck in front of the mirror a lot longer than necessary?

Yelena's always been treated years beyond her actual age

There's really no other way she could've been approached and treated when all her life she's been seen as some sort of weapon

Now, she's a soldier, an agent, a hero

And the weight of the responsibility has only grown heavier on her back

It was a close call during their last mission, one that could've cost a civilian's life, that sent her down the dark spiral without any harness for her to hold onto or get lifted up to the surface eventually

She's deemed the high viewing adults have of her as something for her to feel complimented by

To be seen as mature, intellectually and physically, past one's age is often perceived as a great admiration of the person's skillset and their ability in a certain field or line of work

But when the person is still just a teenager, one who never got to experience proper childhood at that, the positive aspects of it get thrown out the window

It does more harm than good

Which is precisely the case with Yelena who, despite doubting it, started losing self-regard and care for the sole purpose of being the hero and protector she'd deem 'worth' fighting alongside the Avengers

It took effect drastically

Drastically enough for people to thankfully start noticing

The first was Tony

He picked up on her more than half full plates following every meal, the lack of empty spaces on the plate contradicting her claims of feeling full or stuffed

He'd tried to point it out to her, how she was not rationing her food intake properly with her workout regimen, but she brushed him off with a claim that the protein shakes she drank were making her feel full

When he told her to cut down on them, she'd unconvincingly agreed

Second was Steve

He noticed her excessiveness, the newfound urge to go further and faster with every workout than ever before

He had half-jokingly warned her to slow down to which she almost bitterly replied that if it were him he definitely wouldn't slow down

The nail didn't get hit on the head till Bucky accidentally stumbled across her journal

It had been left in the cafeteria - her newly-scatterbrained self had forgotten it there - and he had flicked it open in hopes of finding any evidence of the owner's identity

He immediately recognized Yelena's neat cursive handwriting and was just about to close it and go return it to her when he noticed what had been written

A workout routine, body measurements, calorie counter comparing intake and the amount burnt during her training sessions

This sent off every last alarm in Bucky's head who, up until that point, had already had a sneaking suspicion that something was awry with the girl

And when he brought it up to Steve and Tony, he was beyond relieved to know he was not the only one

An intervention was bound to take place

And it did when Tony stumbled across Yelena in one of the rec rooms on base

He'd beckoned Steve and Bucky over too with one quick text and the meeting was in order

It took a lot of back and forth, a lot of false convincing from Yelena's side of the table and even more disbelief from her three mentors

When she admitted her struggles finally, tears staining her eyes as she white-knuckled her hands into fists, it felt like a ton of that weight she'd been carrying around, pressing down on her, was lifted

Like that raincloud had finally stopped pouring over her and had lightened up greatly

Her admission was followed by a spiel of genuine reassurance and comfort from the three Avengers

The first step of her recovery from that negative mental space was the burning of that damned journal

From that point on, she promised to trust the three with her workouts and meals as she had done prior to those depleting thoughts' nestling into her head

It's the one thing she's been seeking out all her life

People to trust and rely on

People who actually care

A family

That cloud might still be following her around, but it's pearly white and calm, not a raindrop in sight

But if a storm does start brewing, she'll have someone to shield her from it

Wanda x Reader

You hadn't been dating Wanda for very long.

Well, if you don't count the years of pining, that is.

You had hidden yourself behind a corner in her hallway, arms out and ready to spook.

This had been your same trick from Halloween (which between that and the turnips did not go well-)

But this time it’d go swimmingly.

After thirty minutes later, you heard the familiar clack of her heels against the compound’s floors, and…

Nothing. Silence.

You peeked around the corner to see where the witch had gone, and-

“Boo.”

Her warm grasp hugged your middle , yet you swear you jumped out of your skin.

“What the- Fuck, Wands-“ Your terror was met with her musical laughter, patting the the sides of your stomach.

“Well if you insist, sweetheart.”

Her voice echoed

She’d let go of you, and you could see the sparkling mirth in her eyes once you turned around.

She placed a quick peck on your cheek, looping your hand with hers to play with your fingers, gaze downcast at them even as her mischievous words would enter your head without her mouth moving.

“If you want to spook a mind reader, darling..”

You gulped as her touch grew more bold, pinning you against the wall- face warming as she’d tilt her head,

“You’ll have to do better than that.”

She’d chuckle at your flustered reaction, her grin cheshire as she’d lead you back to her room, giddy with sweet excitement.

“And happy April fools to you too, Wan-“

Natasha had always managed to prank you first before you could prank her.

One year prior, you’d ended up with an egg in your hair while your whipped-cream pie prank had gone unsung.

And that was some really good whipped cream.

This year, though- you had buttered her up. Perks of being her partner- the pranks could go even harder.

“Good morning, my dearest sunshine-“ You’d murmur, settling her in with breakfast in bed.

Your trick? Salt in her coffee instead of sugar. Genius.

Natasha propped herself up on her arms, giving you an upturned eyebrow, “Oh, and what’s the occasion?”

“Oh, nothing much..” A shit eating grin plastered her face, one that would soon be returned by the redhead.

“Birthday? Anniversary..?” She’d poke at your side as you sat down, her touch ticklish as she helped you settle the tray of food on her bedsheets.

“M-mmn, nothin’, sugar..” Oh, how you’d be eating those words soon enough.

You’d watch as she’d take a sip from her coffee, eyes wide and sparkling as she opened her mouth-

And sighed in bliss.

What the fuck was wrong with this woman.

“Delicious, baby..” Natasha purred, taking another hardy swig, and you watched as she swallowed. “You’ve outdone yourself..”

“I…uh-“ Your babbling words would be cut short as you took a drink of your own mug-

And was met with intense, uncomfortable sodium.

She cackled as you spit your mouthful back into your cup, punching her jokingly with a red face, “You- you fuckin’-“

“Switched them?”

“Not just the brew-“ Your hand would’ve found your forehead in shock, “But the mugs too- how the shit did you do that?”

“A spy will never reveal her secrets-“ She’d lean up to kiss you, but instead would shift the platter over to the side. “And you need to wash your mouth out.”

“Not before I drink my coffee..” You’d hiss, chugging her now lukewarm mug down.

That was, until you saw a plastic totally real cockroach on the bottom of the mug, shrieking before chucking it against the wall.

“Love you too, dear.”

You didn’t think Yelena could be scared of anything.

She threw a knife at the fake spider you pranked her with last year.

And she spat in the face of the ‘piranhas’ that had infested your room’s bathroom two years ago.

And even so, you tried again this year- although with something much less terrifying.

You'd flooded Yelena's room with multicolored balloons, painstakingly blowing them up before gently setting them on her floor.

And the best part?

She was asleep in her bed the whole time.

You had almost finished the second bag of balloons when Fanny, ever the sleepy Akita, finally stirred from their rest.

The pup locked eyes with you, and you were so thankful that they didn't bark.

That didn't stop Yelena from waking, though.

The blond would rise quickly, eyes darting around as soon as her dog moved an inch. You swear she had murder in her eyes, although that might've just been from awakening so quickly.

It all left her once she found you, though.

Groggily, she'd wipe at her eyes, mumbling something before kicking her foot off the bed to stand-

Bumping into a stray balloon.

She recoiled immediately, yowling as though she'd been pained deeply- and you were at her side in a heartbeat.

"Yelena, shit- you okay?"

"Yeah.." She'd gruff, her shoulders slacking once your hands found purchase on them. She'd hide her head in your shoulder, a surprising gesture.

You wrapped your arms around her, rubbing soothing circles into her back, "No need to be frightened, honey.." She'd hold you closer, and a flicker of thought ran through your mind, "Lena..are you scared?"

"What-? No-" She'd deny, her voice especially thick this early in the morn. "You just startled me-"

"That's a form of fear, hun-" Your chuckle was met with a groan from her, before she pulled her blankets back over the two of you.

Her words were muffled, "Fine, you got me- but now you hold me until I say so."

"My big, bad, scary Lena...of course, honey."

~~~ Kate x Reader

No matter what you pranked Kate with, she was always worried about you.

It's not unfounded, after you fell down the stairs during last year's April Fools, but still.

This time, you’d actually get her.

"Kate, made you some brownies!"

You heard her clamor with a fevrency that made her sound like a one man band.

She burst out of the hallway, expression wild with hunger and apprehension-

Until she saw you holding some kiddy scissors exceptionally sharp blades of murder and death and terror and-

“Babe!” She’d screech, barreling forth to snatch the scissors from your careful hands, placing them gently on the counter, before inspecting your palm for even the slightest scratch.

She hadn’t even noticed the brown construction paper, or the cut letter you’d pressed towards her middle.

“Kate, earth to Kate-“ Your smile towards her shook her from her thoughts, “I’m okay, pretty girl..Happy April Fools!”

Between the panic and the praise, her brain had to do a soft restart after that.

After a few more seconds, her goofy grin would return again, almost coy, “Gave me a heart attack there, you know-“

“I know,” You’d motion to the tin of hello kitty bandaids you’d raided from Tony, “And I was prepared, you doofus.”

She’d smile, nodding along until her face flushed- her hand rubbing smooth circles into your hip.

“But if you, you know- wanted to do some scissoring, as they say-“ You’d sigh, shaking your head with a teasing lilt, “You’re verryy smooth, dear.”

You’d press a boop to her nose, a teasing whisper, “I’ll think about it.”

Jealous Yelena Headcanons:

Requested by @yelenabelovasgf

Yelena wouldn’t know the exact emotion she’s feeling at that moment

But she knows it’s a strong one whenever your gaze fell on someone else for too long or you laughed at someone else’s jokes

You two aren’t together… yet

Which makes her feel like her jealousy is wrong

This makes her feel super conflicted

So all she does is clench her jaw and swallow her feelings down

After sometime, her jealousy grows as her feelings for you grow as well

Yelena would glare at the person your attention is being taken up by or she would make an effort to physically get closer to you or redirect your attention to her (with poor attempts at flirting i.e. “Hey want to see the new knife set/vest I got?”)

Of course you notice her shifts in behavior

You just wanted to see how far you could push it before she confessed

Since she’s new to feelings in general, she would ask Kate about it

Kate would tease her a lot when you aren’t looking and sometimes stir the pot a bit by getting into your personal space

She only stops when she spots the death glare sported on Yelena’s face

When you are together, she makes sure everyone knows you’re hers by wrapping a protective arm around your waist

You secretly like Yelena’s jealous side because you get to reassure her that you only have eyes for her
