#with my mom there's more resentment towards her as there is hopeful love that things could be better

the whole max and mike’s lives being foils of each other’s is so insane to me bc its like. for mike max is a representation of everything that could have happened to him if his mom left his dad earlier on (and what can still happen when you look at the way things are between them) and for max mike is a representation of everything that she could have had growing up if her mom hadn’t decided to leave her dad as fast as she did
#there is no way they don’t resent each other for it just a little bit. no fucking way sorry#mike knows max grew up with a shittier home life but still wishes his mom had the guts to do the same her mom did and left his dad bc#at the end of the day there is a little bit of bitterness towards both his parents for not making their relationship work out specifically#towards his dad bc his mom is actually involved in his life and did try to pretend that everything was normal when it wasnt which directly#ties into his desperate attempts to make his relationship with el seem normal to both of them when its not bc theyve both never been normal#they dont even know what normal really IS which also ties in to his very deep fear that the two of them will end up like his parents and so#meday he’ll become his dad and he doesn’t know which one is more terrifying so instead he blocks it all out in True Mike Wheeler FashionTM#and just keeps wishing that his mom left his dad because maybe if there was a distance between them when he was growing up maybe things wou#ldve been different maybe he wouldnt be this much like his dad#max on the other hand LOVES her dad they had one of those relationships where he wasn’t neglectful but wasn’t a great parent either but she#still loves him for trying and while her mom did try she gave up after a while while her dad didn’t. that was the real dealbreaker for max#and while after all this time she keeps saying im going to run away to cali and im going to live with my dad. but its not just the need to#see someone who cared for her the most during her early years its also the childish hope that her mom will notice that shes missing anf#come looking for her and that maybe when her parents finally meet again they can reconcile and get back together bc that is really all shes#ever wanted in her life since she was a kid and she feels bad for it bc she knows that her mom and dad’s relationship was never supposed to#last but she still wishes and wishes which is why that little bit of bitterness against mike will never fall away no matter how irrational#it is bc its like. his parents dont love each other but are still together for their kids. why couldnt my parents do the same? was i not en#ough reason for them? and this ties into her breaking up with lucas over and over again bc shes seen her parents and how they never fought#for each other and shes afraid that somewhere along the line her relationship with lucas will turn out the exact same and hell leave her so#its better to just leave now before it gets serious then later when it will hurt too much but lucas keeps coming back for her which makes#her realize that maybe it doesnt have to be like that maybe they wont be like her parents#anyway this is incoherent as fuck but shane mandej voice IVE CONNECTED THE DOTS#mike wheeler#max mayfield#stranger things

TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE! 22. 2 people, 1 truth
note: word count is 3.8k :D
Tumblr media
“they really are little rascals, especially this one!” atsumu huffed with an orange kitten pressed against his chest. you found him near an alleyway and were currently walking back to april’s store.
it was a convenience store, and she used the second floor as her living space. after you were banned from eating the snacks at your parents’ place, you started hanging out at april’s more often. she always gave you the snacks for free and you spent most of your childhood there: in april’s store next to her floor fan as customers came and went.
“you’re back!” april rushed out in a hurry, reaching to pet the kitten still in your arms. “their mom’s in the back with the other younglings so i’ll need to wash them. but before that, tell me how i can repay the two of you.”
you rushed to decline. “no, no. don’t worry about it, we did this because we just wanted to help.”
april laughed heartily. “then thank you, darling, for helping me find the kittens.” she smiled towards atsumu, “and thank you… y/n’s boyfriend. looks like i never got your name!” she erupted again in buoyant laughter.
your co-star returned her smile. “it’s atsumu miya, nice to meet you.” his response garnered an elbow to the side from you. “he’s not my boyfriend, just a coworker,” you clarified quickly.
her excitement didn’t fade, a sly twinkle shining in her aged eyes. she grabbed the kittens from you and atsumu, the two troublemakers tugging insistently at her floral blouse. “we’ll continue this later, they’re really impatient aren’t they?”
when april left, you and atsumu occupied the bench in front of the store. he stretched and yawned. “what were you saying about your parents before you got cut off?” he asked curiously.
“oh, my parents aren’t here anymore. we moved to miyagi prefecture when i got to high school, and they stayed there after i moved to tokyo for university.”
“must’ve been hard when their only child left,” he said, lifting a brow when you laughed. “not at all,” you replied. “i was a handful to them, they were glad i left.”
growing up, a part of you resented your parents for moving away from your hometown. you dreamt of everything: attending a nearby high school and keeping up with your studies—going home and helping the residents with their tasks around town. it was the perfect harmony, and it was shattered due to your parents.
you realized later it was because they hated everything the town stood for: peace, gaiety, and the ability to melt your heart. they must’ve hated the cool summers too—the long family walks through town after supper where you admired wildflowers in the sidewalk cracks. they must’ve hated the colorful peonies in the spring and the lively tradition where all the residents came together to have one big picnic in the field. you still remembered it so vividly. each household needed to bring something special (music, toys for the kids, food, or drinks) to be able to participate. once, your parents said you were their special item and the residents exploded in cheerful laughter and agreement. looking back, you wondered how true that actually was of your parents.
they were bored of the place they grew up in, and they tossed it away without even asking you. they threw their friends away, the memories they made with everyone, and—worse of all—they desecrated your love for the town and its people.
you’d cried during departure, watching as everyone bore smiling faces in an attempt to uplift yours. you hadn’t cried in years, and you were about to attend high school. you saw them hand you gifts—all the things you loved and things that’ll remind you of your true home. you hoped they knew you weren’t the one who wanted to leave; you hoped they knew it was because your parents hated their kind generosity.
“i hated leaving my hometown behind. if i could, i would’ve stayed with them while my parents left. i would’ve been okay without them. but when i got to my new school, things started to get better,” you said, fidgeting with the palm of your hand. “i excelled at my classes and made new friends. they filled an empty part in me and i was able to be with them 24/7 through volleyball.” you paused for a moment. “but my parents didn’t like that. they didn’t like it when i went to my team’s matches to support them, they didn’t like that i was barely home with them.”
atsumu remained silent while you talked. his back was pressed against the wall and his shoulder was touching yours. his silence comforted you, his warmth made you continue. “i think they realized it was out of their control now, that when i went off to university, they wouldn’t have to deal with me anymore. i saved up money from my part-time job and moved to tokyo with my friends. my parents stopped calling me afterwards, but i still send money back home to them.”
you choked back a sob, chuckling at the weird situation: you pouring your feelings out to your attentive co-star. you avoided looking at him.
“what about your aunt april? couldn’t you have stayed with her?”
you laughed quietly. “she’s not my real aunt, her husband isn’t my real uncle either. they just treated me really nicely, like i was a part of their family. actually, they were my parents’ rivals. the town only needed one convenience store and i guess my parents were the ones who left. maybe they didn’t like how welcoming aunt april treated me, but i knew she never wanted us to leave. and i never wanted to be seen as a burden to them. they already had so much on their plate, i just couldn’t invade their lives like that.”
atsumu hummed. “but if you had asked, they would’ve accepted in a heartbeat.” you smiled sadly—what he said was true.
you couldn’t help but imagine what your life would’ve been like if you’d stayed. you would’ve been happy, you would’ve continued to stay in your hometown after graduation, maybe even become a farmer. you would’ve been surrounded by people who loved you and familiar sights. but you would’ve never met shimizu and the others. you would’ve never realized the wonders of living in a big city filled with opportunities. you wouldn’t be acting. you wouldn’t have met atsumu and experienced all of this.
when you realized that silence took over the conversation, you attempted a weak smile. “well! enough of me—”
“you don’t have to hide it, y/n,” atsumu said. “you can be unprofessional too.”
your heart staggered. hot tears threatened to fall and you only said, “it’s okay, i don’t want to talk about it right now.”
atsumu nodded at your response, sitting up more casually. you were grateful when he started talking: “it’ll be unfair if i didn’t tell you about myself too, right?” he stopped briefly to think. “my brother and i were adamant about volleyball during high school. awards, summer camps, interhigh, nationals—you name it. being recognized for your incredible setting skills had its perks,” he winked and you laughed. “i got some modeling gigs and then eventually went into acting.”
you listened intently to him as he spoke. there was always something about atsumu. was it his assertiveness or the way he naturally drew people in? you had a feeling it was both. the more time you spent with him, the more you wanted to know about him.
“the first time i scored a big role, i was confused by how happy i felt. i remembered the amount of compliments they gave me, not only for my acting skills but for volleyball as well. ‘a real talent,’ they’d told me once, and it made me want to continue acting. i struggled here and there with getting roles, mainly due to my inexperience, but it was a challenge i wanted to overcome. i felt the same amount of frustration when messing up a scene as passing a bad set. i felt the same amount of joy too, so it was difficult to decide which path i wanted to take after high school.”
you asked when he became silent, “how did your parents react?”
he didn’t turn to look at you but you saw his lips pulled into a grim smile. “horrible,” he said. “‘samu wanted to pursue culinary arts and i wanted to focus on acting. my parents knew i had some roles during high school but they didn’t like that i wanted to do it professionally. my mom was clinging onto the chance that i would continue volleyball unlike my brother.” atsumu tightened his hands, his expression hard and dour. “but they didn’t realize that i was still playing, just not competitively. i didn’t compromise my love for it, never did.”
you felt a strange pull of admiration. you could hate atsumu all you want for his actions, but you could never hate the confidence he radiated. you’ve seen it before: at the script read through and on the first day of filming. when he stepped on set, reading his lines with such certainty and zeal, your eyes didn’t want to look away. so this was atsumu miya, you thought. this was the highly praised atsumu—the side he proudly chose to display.
but right now, he was just atsumu, regular atsumu. he was another person that goes through things like everyone else. you had believed vehemently before that your co-star was only capable of hate and disdain. that he could only conjure up sly, distasteful frowns. now he was more human than you thought.
“i’m sorry,” was all you could say in response. atsumu shook his head, his eyes downcasted. “it got better eventually, it’s been a couple years and they’ve come around.”
he continued: “it took a lot to convince them and myself that it was the right choice. i didn’t land any major roles for a year straight.”
you blinked. who wouldn’t want atsumu on their production? even if this happened years ago, atsumu already had a couple major roles under his belt. you had a feeling it wasn’t him or his skills that were at fault.
“a fucking year straight,” he spat his words venomously. “i practiced everyday until my body gave up, and for what? some rich insecure pieces of shit to come by and flaunt their money in the director’s face? i didn’t want anything to stop me from acting except my skills.”
you imagined atsumu practicing his lines over and over again until he was satisfied. you saw him beating himself up for every mistake he would make. to atsumu, it must’ve felt like preparing for a volleyball match: setting and serving until he could no longer—until his exhausted body begged him to stop. it felt vivid to you. after all, you were both hardworking perfectionists, and you were both treading through an industry where the rich reigned and the skilled surrendered.
for a year straight, atsumu dealt with this. he couldn’t do anything, powerless to change the directors’ decisions.
you stared at him with a pained expression. “bribery,” you said meekly and he nodded. “just like what emma did.”
“so you knew,” he said, low and accepting.
“yes, i did, about her bribing director sage. but i want to hear it from you, not from a friend or anywhere else.”
he nodded and you braced yourself for what was about to come. “i didn’t know at first, no one did except for the director and committee team. you wouldn’t have expected her to do something like that: she was nice and endearing, even to the staff members. but i always questioned why director sage was so hard on her. it wasn’t as if she lacked talent. she was good—well, good enough, i suppose. then i realized what it was about her. she had talent but not skills from experience. whenever filming lasted longer than it should’ve due to her, everyone was forgiving. they ignored her issues because she was nice and pretty.”
you swallowed at his words. with money, you could buy opportunities, but not skills and experience that are on par with actors who’ve been doing this for way longer. you couldn’t, unless you knew how to adapt—unless you were a quick learner. emma was none of those things.
you watched atsumu rub his hands against his face, a sorrowful chuckle leaving his lips. “there were signs and i was blind to them. i only focused on her, thinking how amazing she was. she only had two years of experience so her mistakes were understandable. but this was a director sage film. his standards were fucking crazy. how did she land the main role if not for bribery and blackmail?”
you had to confess, after returning from the trip to the record store slash beach, you finally watched director sage’s latest film. it aired two years ago but was one of his most popular works ever. emma had the main role but surprisingly, atsumu was only the second lead. he didn’t have much screen time but whenever he appeared in a scene with emma, you felt your heart stop, your breath hitching in your throat. their chemistry was otherworldly, and you understood why the whole internet went into chaos when they broke up. if you had watched this two years ago, you would’ve rooted for them too.
“oh, but,” he quickly turned towards you, saying softly, “don’t blame director sage too much. it was his choice to make, but there were devastating circumstances. if he didn’t accept emma’s bribe, there would’ve been no film. her father would’ve cut off all the budget, including the ones from other companies. a single word from him would’ve cost director sage his career.” atsumu’s eyes turned dark and discernible. “i’m not saying his choice was right. emma forcibly stole opportunities from other aspiring actors and director sage helped her to do so. but still… he was in a difficult situation.”
there was affection in his voice when he said the last sentence. you’ve seen them interact many times before, and it always occurred to you how easily atsumu laughed and smiled in the director’s presence. they both adored one another dearly, both having fond memories of working together years ago.
“don’t worry, i don’t,” you reassured him. “but when i came, you thought i also blackmailed him. you thought director sage was put in another difficult situation.” you weren’t angry at him, you only stated frankly what had happened. but the latter pained atsumu more than the former. he wished you would yell at him or be in a fit of rage again (like your confrontation at the beach) because he knew he was wrong. he messed up and you were the one that was hurt.
but you didn’t fault him, not after hearing about everything. atsumu was distrusting, both towards you and the acting industry. how could he not? the person he was in love with had betrayed her morals and his trust.
“you’re right,” he said. “i was too quick to blame you. i judged you without knowing anything and spoke about you badly when i wasn’t any better. you were none of the things i claimed you were. you’re incredible, you know that? you made those four idiots fall in love with you on the first day of filming. you made director sage fall in with you. and you reminded me what good acting was. it was exhilarating to see someone with the same amount of passion as me. i fell in love with acting again just by watching you act.”
your cheeks burned at his words. you’ve received compliments before but it was different when your unapproachable and grumpy co-star said it.
atsumu shifted to face you, both of your feet pointing in each other’s directions. “so i’m sorry, y/n. i’m sorry for dragging you into this, you were never the problem. what those staff members said were true: i am extremely cocky and pretentious, i’m hasty and reckless with both my actions and words. and i had hurt you greatly. could you forgive me?”
you felt his vulnerability, his hesitant gaze on you. it wasn’t his fault, you wanted to say. it was okay.
“i could, and i will. you’re forgiven, atsumu.” you waited another moment to say, “not everything the staff members said was true. you’re not undeserving of your role or fame.”
“did they say that too?”
you nodded and his eyebrows pinched together. “they said that because of my relationship with emma. after the film aired, everyone in the industry knew. some felt stronger about it than others; some could care less because it was so normalized; and some even praised her for being rich and having connections. it’s gross. if you don’t have the skills to earn your roles fairly through auditioning, you’re pathetic. instead of using that money to drag the director and your co-stars down, you should be spending it on acting classes.”
you had to tug on his arm to get his attention. you didn’t mind his rant, but you were too curious about what that had to do with him being labeled “undeserving.”
atsumu caught your eye and said, “oh, right. emma and i broke up a year after the film. we didn’t tell anyone what the reason was, but the bribery part was only half the story. those staff members were the same ones i worked with all those years ago. they saw how emma and i were—probably thought i was the same blackmailing fox as her.” he let out another low chuckle. “or maybe that i used my connection with director sage to my advantage. or that i already had my chance to work with him, and that another person should’ve gotten the opportunity.”
in your eyes, atsumu was never undeserving. director sage picked him for the lead role because he truly believed atsumu was worthy of it. you’d heard from kuroo that atsumu came out of his year-long break because of director sage. he just wanted to work with his favorite director again. atsumu had the confidence and skills to do so. what was so wrong about that?
you patted him on the shoulder. “it’s not true, everyone knows it’s not. don’t be so hard on yourself.” your words made him laugh. a genuine one this time, it wasn’t sorrowful or somber like the previous ones.
“thank you,” he said. “i’ll take it easy. i didn't think this trip would become so sentimental. did i bore you?” he asked mischievously. you shook your head no, the two of you exchanging pleasant smiles.
you stretched your arms. how long were the two of you sitting on the wooden bench anyway? the sun was disappearing and leaving behind a trail of vibrant vermillion in its wake. it was already five o’clock.
when the two of you peeked inside the convenience store, you saw april talking with her husband by the cash register. she noticed you two, turning to say, “there they are! did you have fun out there?”
apparently she had finished washing the kittens a long time ago, even having enough time to prepare dinner. a large dinner, enough to feed an army. “we didn’t want to interrupt the sweet moment so we waited,” april beamed while you, atsumu, and her husband followed behind on the staircase.
atsumu whispered to you, “should i be here?”
you nodded. after all, april’s homemade meals were the best. no amount of restaurants could compare, you knew he would be missing out if he didn’t give it a try.
thankfully, dinner wasn’t awkward. april’s husband got along well with your co-star, minus the first interaction when he’d mistaken him for your boyfriend. it was becoming a running joke but you didn’t mind. you finally had the chance to sit down and talk to april and her husband, reminiscing about what happened during the time when you didn’t visit. you mentioned your previous film—vengeance—and the two of them chatted about your amazing performance. apparently everyone in town stopped what they were doing to watch it the day it aired. they were your first ever supporters after all.
you also mentioned your friends, to which april smiled in relief. then you talked about your new film and gestured towards atsumu, your co-star who was caught off guard with food stuffed in his mouth. you left out all the bad parts in your story, focusing mainly on your “friendly” competition at the amusement park and the fun trip to the record store slash beach. you also mentioned jolie and the others, even director sage and how he looked better in person.
atsumu got to talk too: about his twin brother and their volleyball experience during high school. atsumu boasted about being the number one setter and april’s husband, who you’ve known since childhood, brought up unexpectedly about how he’d played once as well.
“captain of my team,” he laughed with his whole body. “that was my prime.”
it got to the point where all the dirty dishes were cleaned off the table and april brought out peeled tangerines. you got to play with the kittens while atsumu and april’s husband continued to converse about volleyball. it was endearing and bittersweet that the two of you had to leave. you wanted to freeze the moment—you’d forgotten how nice it felt to be back in your hometown.
“must you go already?” april asked, standing at the door of her convenience store. her husband chimed in, “if they don’t catch the train, they’ll be stuck here.”
she nudged him with an annoyed expression. “that’s what i’m trying to do.” she turned back towards you. “the whole town’s excited for your new film, y/n. we’ll definitely watch it so make sure to visit again. you as well, atsumu.”
the two of you thanked them for dinner, saying your farewells and heading to the train station.
“thank you for bringing me here,” atsumu said as you waited on the platform.
“did i one up you? be honest.”
he replied hesitantly, “yes. i have to admit your hometown is pretty nice.”
“then let me borrow your jacket again on the train.”
“oh? you’re finally gonna go to sleep?”
your eyes widened in embarrassment. “you knew?” he smirked at your dazed expression. “how could i not? kind of hard when you were wriggling in your seat trying to get comfortable.”
“i will fall asleep this time. today’s been really exhausting.”
atsumu peered down at you, saying, “good work today, y/n, and…”
he didn’t get to finish his sentence, interrupted by the roaring of the approaching train. you stepped inside, turning to ask, “what did you say?”
“nevermind,” he smiled. “let’s get to our seats before we both fall asleep standing up.”
atsumu had told you many things today, but the unspoken ones might’ve been the most important. he wanted to tell you again that he was sorry for everything. and he wanted to tell you that he was glad you were his co-star.

fun facts:
director sage did NOT like working with emma one bit, but he made sure to hide his disdain at all times.
when atsumu went to audition for director sage's previous film, he went with a friend of his. she practiced for the main role relentlessly but her audition didn't pass. atsumu always held a grudge towards emma for stealing his friend's chance; if it weren't for her, his friend would've gotten the role. she was a better actress than emma anyway.
y/n and atsumu took a million pictures of the kittens. there were five of them! she sent them all to the group chat for them to gawk at.

WHAT ARE YOUR HEADCANONS ON SOAP? 🥰🥰🥰 unless you've already done this before then I am so sorry 😓
relationship with soap headcanons
warnings: sfw, fluff, some angst, relationship arguments, family trauma mentioned, religious trauma, homophobia, bad dad
a/n: my fav cod man is soap so this took my top priority!!! i think about this man a lot, 09 and reboot version. reboot is my fav though, realistically, he's who i would actually get with. here’s all the things i’ve thought about him, there’s probably more tbh… OK OK HERE :))
childhood hcs
johnny soap mactavish comes from a large family of 5 siblings, he's the second oldest. it's elsie, him, blair, callum, and olivia.
growing up in a family of mainly girls got him on that respect women juice. he would always have to make sure his younger siblings are ok and aren't you know, being bullied. his parents were adamant on 2 year age gaps between them all.
his cousin, jack, was an sas operator and that was what made him want to join. they had to call security forces to arrest him out at some point because he kept sneaking in to watch them do stuff lol
elsie left for uni with her bf to live in soho when johnny was 16, the same year he would talk to recruiters around his hometown, driving hours and then getting rejected the same day due to his age
9th grade (year 10) chemistry got him obsessed with stem and its *explosive* results. he aced chemistry and then took advanced chemistry and physics just because he loved it so much
after this, as soon as he turned 18, he went to sign his papers THEN graduated school (he's just like me fr). his mom was so worried for him, especially when her sister told her about the danger that jack would get himself into. in the end, he promised he'll always call her and his siblings
his dad's an ass, hes an alcoholic, a cheater, a *bitch*... he would always take the kids to church on sundays and twisted the religion into a reason for his behavior. claiming that johnny's mom being at home was just "their culture"
she makes a killer shepherd's pie though
always had had some sort of love-hate relationship with the catholic faith. on one hand, it was nice to know there's always at least someone watching out for him, but after hearing the constant belittlement from his father, claiming he wasn't "manly enough" for not willing to give his life up in the service, he started to resent the “all merciful”.
he ended up blaming god for all his faults, letting him take accountability. this especially happened when he got diagnosed with adhd when he was 17, his dad didn’t believe in mental health. his mom was only a bit better about it, they both refused meds for him.
he's bisexual, leans towards women though. found this out after a truth or dare game in junior year (year 12) and some beers in a closet
at one point, callum acccidently let it slip at dinner when johnny had first moved out that he had met a cute guy and their dad screamed and yelled at the whole family, especially their mom, about "raising a fucking whore of a son, dragging the family down to shite"
blair called and told johnny a few days later and johnny rushed his work as quickly as possible and begged his chain of command for a few days off to go back home to his family
his family gets loud…like really loud. there’s 7 people what do you expect?
it gets especially bad when it’s sunday morning and you gotta get 7 people awake and looking their church best for an hour and a half 😔
johnny is the quickest everything there is, which has its downsides too. he could run and swim the fastest in the family, but he was also the quickest eater…meaning he’s on dish washing duty. he’s quick at that too so by the time everyone’s finished, he’s washed all the other dishes that took to make dinner
broke his arm chasing a cat through someone’s yard (he was 14)
had a goat scream and kicked him because he wanted to give it a hug
he got a part time job at a local bakery in 10th grade (year 11). the pay wasn’t much but neither was the work really. olivia, who was 9 at the time, made him promise that he’ll get her a doll to have tea with. her tea set had 4 cups but only one of her, so she must get another one to join her! he kept his promise; he ended up getting three dolls for her
he can make amazing soda bread and brioche loafs now too, still keeps a starter from the owner of the bakery to this day
he had a mountain bicycle that he would take everywhere. had room behind his seat for packages and his backpack, which he would tie down. that thing had such a loud bell too, would ring constantly to “let people know hes coming and get ready”
was terrified of selkies for some reason, always had the window closed and made callum sleep by it while he slept by the door
wasn’t much of a troublemaker, but would get into trouble with his adventurous heart.
got lost in the woods once and after a while of fake courage, he sat down and cried until elsie found him. he was 20 yards (13 meters) away from the clearing 😭😭
laugh at that guys, mf was 15
personality & relationship hcs
johnny is such a fun lover. he’s handsome yeah, but what makes ppl flaunt over him is his humor. he’s what jessica rabbit said “he makes me laugh”
such a charismatic and charming person, gets it from his dad. he could talk about just about anything, also the type to strike up a conversation with a stranger at the grocery store. then end up with their number and a date or helping them dog sit
this isn’t always a good thing though, one time before he was medicated, he would talk on and on, his story becoming incoherent due to the amount of self-interruptions he made, that a group of guys got so annoyed at that pub, they punched him.
he was young, 19, and couldn’t fight, so he didn’t win and came back to the barracks with a nasty black eye
he likes to be the big spoon, has to hold something in order to sleep
feel like he’s the type to wrap his arms around a pillow and lay on his stomach to sleep
speaking of sleeping, he HATES sleeping with socks on. he tried it one day and he just shivered at the feel of it, woke up and his socks were missing (he found them under the bed)
i also feel like he sleeps like a log, unmoving once he finds his comfort, i also think it's because he had to sleep in the same bed as his siblings at one point and he didn't want to wake them by moving, so he got accustomed to being a still sleeper
one time he accidentally got into a fight at a bar when a guy kept being misogynistic and was arrested and kept in jail for the whole night until one of his civilian friends bailed him out
johnny's the type to race you in the rain to the car. again, he's quick so he's always ahead of you but then he slips from the rain and ends up all wet and muddy and in the car.
his favorite thing to do is hear you laugh. he'll do anything to hear you laugh.
whenever you're sad, he'll purposely stub his toe or trip down the stairs or make you kiss his "owie" (a papercut) to get you to cheer up. like yeah it hurts like a fucking bitch but seeing you sad hurts more than a silly tumble
number one date event is city exploring and hopping. like cafe hopping, pub hopping, museum hopping, restaurant hopping, anything that makes you get up and get going with time to sit and chill at the same time.
feels like he can eat a lot, he's the type to eat your food if you end up not liking it or being too full
when he gets home from missions and the initial excitement of seeing you dies down, he also dies down and nap for hours until it's the middle of the night and he gets up to eat something.
he loves naps. feels like he needs a nap time every day if it was possible
he's a very kind lover, he's easy going so its not hard that sometimes people take advantage of this and push his buttons until he can't take it anymore
causes a huge blowup because he can have a nasty temper whenever he bottles stuff up and pushes things aside
not a physical manifestation of anger, but definitely a verbal anger, will say things he doesn't really mean just to say it and realize right after the words leave his lips that he fucked up
but he'll stake out in front of the guest bedroom in which you've locked yourself in until you come out and he gets the chance to forgive you
the type to stand in the rain and hold a sign saying sorry right outside your window, a very cheesy romcom style (gaz made him watch them)
he loves you more than anything and loves you even more than you can keep up with him and laugh at his jokes, no matter how awful they are
he wants 4 kids by the way

levin
thinkig about how easily jess made levin accept aphmau as his mother once she came back... like bitch. wtf. that would have NEVER have happened. evre.
aphmau missed out on so much of levin's childhood. the worst thing is that it's no one's fault, so levin can't even blame anyone. but imo, i dont think he'd even be okay with aph being there. there'd be some sort of resentment towards her that he wouldn't be able to shake off for a long time. he would never accept aphmau as his mother so fast.
to him, it's zoey. zoey was the one who took care of him all those years, telling him stories about his "mother" when he knew that the woman she was talking about was no where near qualified to be called his mother. to him, zoey was always his mom. he'd be annoyed with everyone dubbing aphmau as his mom. he'd call zoey mom, sometimes even right to aphmau's face.
i honestly feel like the dude would feel threatened by aphmau's presence. he was fed all of these amazing stories by everyone in the village about what an awesome, great, considerate, smart, loving, bla bla bla lord his mom was. i'd say it would've given him such high expectations to live to, expectations that would cushion his mind and suffocate him so hard.
malachi tho... i hc malachi having hyperthymesia (everlasting memory where one can remember most of their life in vivid detail) so considering my hc i feel like they'd have a very heartwarming reunion.
oh and aphmau's pov about this,,,,, she'd feel very fucking weird and maybe even down right hatred for how levin calls zoey mom. SHE's his mother. BUT she would be extremely mature about it and wouldn't outwardly show her distaste for anything at all, she understands why this is happening but it's not something she can stand whatsoever.
it'd take a few years for levin to get used to aphmau me thinks. but oh, he'd get used to garroth MUCH easier. at the very least, garroth resembles the dude. surprisingly a lot. there's some familiarity he can get behind here, but aphmau...? this pisses aphmau off even more imo :3 it took levin literal years to be okay around aphmau, but with garroth i'd say some months? instead and it's not like aphmau can do anything about it either.. levin needs to come to her at his own pace and time . . .
levin to garroth: "where were you all my life XDD ♥/giddy giggles"
levin to aphmau: "where were you all my life. ☺/struggle & hint of animosity"
i think this is how the dynamic would go..........
im shit at putting my thoughts into words and all of this seems so much better in my mind BUT i hope someone gets what i mean :skull

Touya's childhood was field with sadness and disappointment. Every passing day he wished his father would look at him and be proud of how big of a hero he would be, strong enough to surpass All Might!
Not even his brother and sister could understand how he felt; no one ever did! Until a certain someone appeared and brought light to his miserable life. Her name was y/n, a little girl he met at the forest he used to go for training.
At first, he was irritated by the fact that a stupid girl was at HIS secure place but couldn't stop staring from distance how wonderful her quirk was. Apparently, the girl had a water manipulation quirk and was practicing next to the lake. Touya felt envious about how much control she had over her power and how it made no damage to her body.
After a while, the little girl notice that there was someone near the rocks and find a pair of blue eyes staring at her. When she saw a boy around her age, she smiled waving at him and Touya felt his heartbeat fasten. He was accustomed to angry stares that made his blood run cold not pretty smiles that made him feel warm. After that day, y/n and Touya became inseparables. They trained together and share bento boxes her mom made for the two of them (he even went to her house when thing got heavy at home)
One particular day when Touya was crying into her arms and she would whisper that everything was going to be okay, they share their first kiss, a little messy but still beautiful, and promised eachother that someday they'll get marry and he won't suffer anymore.
However, as Endeavour's need for Shoto to be better than All might increased, so did Touya's resentment and he started developing really bad habits that worried his new friend. He would questioned whenever she arrived late and got mad if it was because of others; he started showing up covered in scars and eyes field with tears but when she asked him about it he would leave; Also, his flames turned blue and more powerful that she couldn't keep up with him anymore. Due to his sudden change, she became a little bit afraid so she didn't see him as regularly as before but this did not sit well with the blueyed boy.
The oldest Todoroki started following her to the park where she played with her brothers, to her house and even to her martial arts classes. He couldn't understand why did she distanced herself but was too proud to asked so.
If only that day y/n arrived on time, she could have been able to save him...but she didn't and lost her first love in the blink of an eye. After the incident, she concentrated on working her ass off to be one of the biggest heroes this world has ever seen and maybe, by doing that, she could forgive herself for Touya's death. She even tried to keep in touch with the Todorokis in order to save Shoto from ending like his big brother. She usually would call or text the siblings and went to visit Touya's santuari
Some years later, y/n fould herself patroling the streets at night. Since the appearance of the LOV, she had worked a lot more to keep the streets safe but something has been making her anxious. Everywhere she went, the hero felt some pair of eyes watching her every move and she was sure it has to do with some villian
Y/n heard some noises coming from a near alley and decided to check just in case someone needed help. There it was Dabi leading on the wall and looking at her while smirking, as if he had been waiting for her to arrived.
"Well, well, well I finally found you, doll" He said as he took a few steps towards her "It's not a coincidence that we are here tonight. I think we are destined to find each other" he continued to get closer and the hero took some steps back. Something about the way he was looking at her made a shiver run down her spain. The last time they faced each other, he left her with some pretty marks but she wondered why didn't he killed her when he had the chance but soon enough she'll have her answer
Water started to form around her as she was ready to attack but no before saying "You should've killed me that time" and then, with water manipulation, grabbed Dabi's body while she came closer to give him a big blow of water on his stomach and throw him against the wall while blood came out of his mouth. He stood up as it nothing happened and looked a almost as he was enjoying being hit.
"You are stronger than when we were kids, y/n but there is one thing that haven't changed and it's the fact that I'll always win" Dabi said and took advantage of her hesitation to advanced forward enough to make a fire wall to surround them. To say y/n was shocked was understanding. Nobody new her real name, how did he ? And that thing about knowing each other since they were kids?...
Being surrounded by fire made her body temperature raise and ,because of that, her mind felt dizzy but she tried to move in order to attack again but Dabi speed faster towards her and put a cloth around her mouth till her eyes started to close and her legs to trumble.
Once y/n woke up, she couldn't feel her body and the room was spinning around her. From the corner of her eye, she saw someone moving and she remembered who brought her here. Dabi took a sit next to her on bed (she was sitting on a bed with her back against the wall) and run his fingers crossed her cheek tenderly "You do look sexy wearing my clothes but I prefer that red lingerie you wore on monday to work. Damn I almost lost it, doll!" He said while bitting his lip. Hearing what he he just confessed made her want to vomit as y/n realised that he was her stalker! If her mouth wasn't covert, she would've shout or curse at him.
"I see you still don't know how I am so let me give you a guess" He took some piece of jewelry that was hanging from his neck and put it in front of y/n. Her eyes open like plates and everything came rushing back to her head. The ring that was in the necklace was the one she gave Touya all those years ago when they made a promise to get marry. Tears purred down her cheeks as wipe her tears and said "shhh it's okay. It's really me... Finally we are together again, love. And now that you are here no-one is going to take you away from me and you'll never leave me" His face twisted into a manic smile and laughed loudly. Then he took the cloth away from her mouth and she said " I used to love a boy called Touya but you are not him. You murdered and tortured people. You are fucking crazy if you think I'll stay with you" You tried using your quirk but nothing came and he laughed even louder saying "Oh y/n, I almost forgot to tell you...You don't have a quirk anymore. Isn't it great? I just saved you from that horrible life you had and from now and on, it's you and me! And we are gonna get married and you will never leave me!"
"I would never be with someone like you, fucking monster" she screamed at him as she jump of the bed and continued to run to the exit when suddenly, her felt a huge pain in her right leg, so strong that she fell to the floor and couldn't stand up. She looked at her leg and it was broken. Touya was standing behind her with a hammer with a serious face saying "You are not leaving me again so you better get use to it"
At that moment she understood that there was nothing she could do to scape from him and she cried even harder while he carried her to bed and laid her down. He was on top of her as he took her hand an put the ring on finger and smiled satisfied.
"I will get you something to eat, love. Rice with fried chicken, your favourite!" He pause and then said "I love you, doll " and kiss her forehead.
When he was gone, y/n burst out crying and she prayed that all of this was a nightmare but it was far from the truth, the nightmare had just started.

Hey hey.
Just wanted to say how much I love ur Hidden Hands Au🤌🤌🤌. I am craving for that sh1t. Realy great work, my (wo?)man. I am so but exited for the whole fanfic, but no pressure🙃. Wanted to ask you if you could describe the character traits of the characters a bit more. Thx. Allright dunno how to end stuff like this.
Bye bye.
lol
Hello, germanstonks! Thanks for the ask! Sorry that this ask took me SO long to answer, I really wanted to do my guys a little justice - now that especially I actually have the fic up, but I think it's worth noting how their general personalities will be in the fic with a little past context :] Check it out if you'd like, link's in my bio! (Don't worry I read your other ask, totally fine with the pronouns)
Just note that these are mostly going off from in-between Post-Bite and before Charlie dies (so like, a bit of a prequel before the fic happens). MCI kids and other few notable characters like Jen/Jennifer Emily, etc. are just as important, but they come in a little later. Okay, let's get right to it. Feel free to read at your own pace since this will be a bit of a long post for the AU.
William Afton - family man, extroverted frugal fast-talking businessman, but genuinely has a soft spot for children, especially his children, loves them a lot, would destroy the whole world for them if he had to. Can be cunning and manipulative. Post-Bite wise he tends to compensate for Evan's passing by trying his best to treat his kids nicely. Doesn't really know how to handle his emotions well, just bottles it up in the hopes it'll be okay. (it's not.) Lisa Afton - introverted businesswoman who has William as her husband. Straightforward and always cuts to the chase, can be a little sassy, doesn't like sugarcoating things. Hardworking and very career-driven, but still cares about the kids in her own way. Can come off cold sometimes.
Michael Afton - post-Bite wise, he's generally wanted to be left alone and prefers to just stay in his room. Used to be adventurous, but now he'd prefer following rules to a T and just sticks by his mom or dad more - regrets a lot about what he had done to Evan. Loves video-games and sometimes sketches in his spare time. A bit anxious and can be scared of taking risks. Quiet, careful, reserved. Has a strange fascination with the supernatural. Talks to himself a lot, but can still be sarcastic at times.
Elizabeth Afton - post-Bite wise, doesn't quite understand the loss of Evan yet, but misses him a lot. Can be manipulative, but not in a malicious sense. Can come off naive, but picks up on details easily, and stubborn if she really wants something. Can be blunt and just says what's on her mind, but she isn't a bad person, just a troubled kid but she's still nice when you get to know her. Also has a strange fascination with horror movies and horror in general. Still has quite the child-like energy, just a bit more subdued.
Evan Afton - used to be timid and afraid, prefers to be left alone to his own things. Once he dies and is left in the afterlife, however... he grows resentful towards Michael and internalizes a lot of the anger and resentment about all the things that Michael had done to him. He tends to be observant, but had become quite cynical over the years. Lets his emotions get the best of him sometimes.
Henry Emily - a neurodivergent widowed man trying his best. Post-Bite wise, he mostly laid his head low from the guilt of losing Evan. Can be distant from people, preferring to just work all by himself, he's introverted and very blunt with his words, and intimidates people/unintentionally scares them sometimes. But he has warmth for the very people close to him, especially Charlie. Can be a bit of a workaholic, much to Charlie's dismay. Is really passionate about what he does with robotics.
Charlie Emily - neurodivergent too, like her dad. post-Bite wise, she's become someone who pours out a lot of emotional support for Michael and sometimes her father. She's grown to have an interest in investigating things and keen eyes for details, and a good listener - loves playing baseball sometimes. Sometimes she tends to stretch herself out a bit too thin for her own good, though.
Hope this helps! Sorry for the long post, I really hope I explained them properly!! I write them better in actual fic form than short explanatory stuff like this, but yeah! </3

What are your thoughts on this episode? Especially about Jordan and Layla together and individually?
I thought Jordan's stuff with football was really interesting. I'm really glad Jordan finally has a guy. I just hope his guy really has best interest in mind. I like that he was still concerned about Spencer up to a point. I loved all the fighting between the two. They both have different motivations now.
I don't blame Jordan for following the plays and didn't think he did anything wrong. But then Lexi and NoCo enlightened me and said Jordan still could've passed it to Spencer a little for stats or something. If that's the case, then Jordan might still have some resentment towards Spencer, mixed in with him trying to focus on being the best QB he can. I don't know that much about football, so listen to her podcast ep. Great!
You know what else I really loved? Jordan taking the time to be a listening ear to Asher. I think their friendship is so underrated. Even his, "why did you knock??"
I loved how much of a friend Layla was to Liv. She said things Liv needed to hear, and I really like when Layla shares about her mom with people she trusts.
I hate how much she's sharing with Ryan. I get the sense that she doesn't want to burden her loved ones with her ever-increasing burnout and numbness, so Ryan's a convenient ear. Unfortunately, he can't keep his mouth shut. Giving her advice about her dosage was so uncalled for. I rewatched the scene again, and there's a slight chance that he was alluding to her checking in with her doctor about it first. But he didn't say that, so I can't assume that.
Jordayla had a really beautiful first scene together. Did you see Jordan's face when she was rattling off his stats?? She may not be fully vulnerable with him about things she doesn't want to quite acknowledge just yet, but she is still so proud of him and loves him very, very much.
Thought the fallout from the "dance" was perfect. Jordan had every right to be frustrated with her. She tried to open up about feeling overwhelmed, but he obviously wasn't in the right space to hear it. He was probably thinking, "I turned down an important conversation with my coach for this?? What is even happening right now?"
And sidenote, but it was really funny that Ryan was just like, "yeah I'm out." Didn't try to defend Layla or anything like that. Just immediately bolted. And I loved that while Jordan was clearly annoyed about Ryan, he was more upset that she didn't book the wedding planner like she insisted she would. Again, bringing back the themes of "tired of people telling me a part of something when I'm not" and "if you're not going to take this seriously..."
What I like about jordayla's first three eps is there's movement. We keep learning new things about Layla's mental state. We see Jordan's growing frustration and continual heartfelt devotion. It makes for some good conflict. And they'll get through it! <3

I was sleepy, until I read "Jake biological father of Spider" my little love Spider, so much that he has suffered. The reaction of the entire Sully family is necessary.
Jake he would have a heart attack, and maybe remembering in second he realizes that Spider looks like one of his parents, (Jake's). Max would be the one to tell Spider and she would run away. It would be too much for him.
Neytiri would go wild. 💀
Tuk and Lo ak always wanted Spider. 🌟
Kiri has always called Spider his person and now he knows that they ARE brothers. 💖
Neteyam, if he is alive, Since I am also an older sister, I understand that we are the experiment, who is asked for perfection, to be a better copy of our parents, the caregivers of our siblings even when we are children. So I imagine that when they were children they were very close even more than Kiri and Spider. But wanting to be pleasing to his parents, seeing how Jake doesn't pay too much attention to him and Neytiri's obvious hatred, he began to distance himself and they went from being brothers, to strangers who talk from time to time.and to discover that they are really brothers, would be to open a box of good, bad and horrible memories.
And now he is missing.
No one can take it from my head that Spider spent nights in Pandora alone since he was little. And he only survived because Eywa took care of him. But still I go hungry, pain and fear.
I am realizing that we are masochists we like to suffer and cry.
We really want to suffer and cry dear anon, we really do. And poor Spider is always the one suffering the most.
I explored a bit what I thought how would Jake and Neytiri react here
Lo’ak is overjoyed, his best friend and brother in spirit is actually his brother. He wouldn’t really feel as much as an outsider anymore, Spider is as much as a troublemaker as him and with him being officially part of the family he feels like he fully belongs.
Kiri is happy for Spider, she doesn’t feel any different than before, in her heart she always believed them to be tied in a way or another. She asks Jake for the name of Spider’s mom and asks the scientists to find her video logs. After they find them both Kiri and Spider spend hours watching them, and she keeps pointing out their resemblances, the color of his hair, the shape of his eyes and so on.
Tuk is, as described in the official book as a happy little pixie and her reaction is very positive! Being a little kid I can see her asking questions Jake hoped would be dealt in a different way, like what was Spider’s mom like? She’s a curious girl asking if Spider looks more like her or his human self. Neytiri is upset, hates the idea of this woman because it means that while Jake was with her he was also with the other woman in a way or another.
Neteyam (if he survived) would still act the same way towards Spider, I see him as being the closest to Neytiri and he feels also kinda betrayed by his father, why didn’t he ever mention this woman when talking about his old life? He told them about his dead brother, how he took his place but failed to mention he had someone on base that he got pregnant? One time he gets curious and goes investigate Spider’s mom and he’s furious, how could his dad not see the resemblance. He would start to resent Jake for always asking perfection and constantly reminding him to be responsible when he himself wasn’t any of those things, the image of his father is forever branded as an hypocrite.
After Spider runs away Jake doesn’t know how to feel, he is his kid but he’s also the reminder of how abusive he was. He wants to find him to make things right, to make the guilt of letting a kid wonder alone at night in a dangerous forest go away. He keeps remembering all his faults, from sending him away during meal times, to the harsh ways he would reprimand him even when it wasn’t his fault.
Kiri, Lo’ak and Tuk are distraught, asking themselves why would he leave them. Didn’t they showed him how much they loved him? How much they were happy to officially have him as their brother?
Neytiri and Neteyam are almost relived, maybe it’s a chance to fix things and make them go back into the old equilibrium. Or even make it better.

*when I say “family” below I am not talking a bout my dad. I am talking about my mom, her three sisters, and her mom.
I’m angry.
I’m angry that I’m angry.
I’m hurt that I experienced so much pain and heartbreak at the hands of people that were supposed to love and protect me.
There are very few people in my life that I felt I could trust, that I knew I was safe around, that I knew wouldn’t judge me. I can count them on one hand and still have fingers left over.
As a child I would ask “why do they hate me?” when it came to my aunts. I would ask “why am I so stupid?” when it came to school. I would ask “why am I always left out?” when it came to friends.
Being told that you are the reason your parents fight, that you will ruin everything you touch, that no one will love you, for as long as you can remember… that shit sticks with you for eternity. It does something to your psyche. It makes you question everything you say and do. It makes you wonder if people are actually friends with you or if they pity you. Do they feel sorry for you? Can you trust them? Does the friendship mean more to you than it does them?
I’m sad that I was robbed of a safe and happy childhood. I am sad that I experienced things that no child should have to go through. I am sad that I had to ever mentally prepare for the bullying and harassment that I knew I was going to experience.
I got used to how my aunts treated me and how much they hated me. I got used to the mean and hurtful things they said to me. I got used to constantly being stuck in fight or flight mode.
The sadness eventually turned into disgust and I turned inward. I became disgusted with myself and hated myself. I became mean, defensive, and hateful. I assumed no one would miss me if I was gone. They would just go through life as if I never existed. I gave up on school and would push back against people of authority.
Yet, at the same time, I craved love and affection. I longed to feel safe and wanted. I hoped one day I could trust everyone in my life. I would look for the love I wanted in all the wrong places. Which lead me to men I should have avoided. I would latch on to people that treated me the way my family did. People who were mean, cold, distant, manipulative, and abusive. I started to believe that I didn’t deserve anything better. That there was something wrong with me and maybe I actually have always been the problem.
I was never able to see it as I was growing up, but now as an adult I am able to see how I was always compared to, and put against, my brother. I was always treated differently than he was. Which ended up festering a lot of undue jealousy and anger towards him. It made me resentful and ruined the relationship I always hoped we have as adults. In my families eyes my brother could do no wrong and I could do no good. My brother was smart and I was stupid. My brother was destined for success and I was destined for failure. “Why can’t you be more like your brother?” “You brother doesn’t struggle this much in school.” “Your brother would never talk back as much as you do.” “I know I can trust your brother, I can’t say the same about you.”
Being compared to my brother, and always hearing my family brag to everyone about my brother, lead me to starting fights with him over every little thing. A part of me wanted him to hurt the way I did. I loved him and was very protective of him, but I was jealous and envious of him at the same time.
Even now, at 40, o still find myself comparing myself to my brother. He has a great job, makes enough he doesn’t have to worry about money, a happy marriage, amazing kids, caring friends, and fun hobbies. I have to remind myself that even though I am only 19 months older than him, that our childhoods were vastly different. He got the foundation for a happy and successful life. I got the house stuck in a tornado being torn to shreds.
I am angry.
I am hurt.
I am sad.
I deserve, and have always deserved, better.

C3E60 - reaction
Sooo.....Sam wearing the die costume just guarantees they all roll a shit ton of 20s, right? I know this happened at least once in C2 as well, did it happen all three times he's worn the outfit?
I have MIXED feelings about this episode.
Let's start with the negative first. Not to quote from the shitty parts of the internet, but I'm really starting to get tired of every PC and NPC basically being anti-gods. I know it's different continents than the previous campaigns, with different themes and subjects, but there's just a feeling of Wrongness that 99% of the people in C3 hate the gods, where in C1 and C2 we as the audience had such positive experiences with the gods. It's a level of disconnect that IS story related, but at the same time feels so jarring that at times it's been pulling me out of the story and really being like 'seriously wtf this isn't supposed to be real world religion stuff'.
Have we EVER seen *missionaries* for the gods before?? In any of the campaigns? Maybe I'm forgetting, but it seemed like in C1 everyone was pretty much worship and let worship, let the non-worshipers not worship and no pressure from anyone, EVEN in Vasselheim. C2 had the legal and illegal gods in the Empire, but I don't recall anyone making non-worshipers have to worship the approved gods. No one without religious faith or inclination was pressured to have it. I suppose there was pressure in the Dynasty, but if I recall we really only saw it from Essek? If I'm remembering correctly, then I think it could have been more of a political thing than an actual religion thing. Better to be considered to be worshiping the Luxon than to vocally be neutral or against, just for respect in court. I don't recall seeing the everyday citizens of the Dynasty having a pressure to believe.
My mom joked at the beginning 'christian missionaries' and I immediately shut it down because CR doesn't do that, but then this episode pretty much DID do that, and it felt super SUPER weird and out of place. Again, it's Issylra, where we haven't been before, but to suddenly have this come in after two and half full campaigns, it just feels Off.
Yeah, that's my only 'negative' of my reaction to this episode. I'm really looking forwards to when, hopefully in another 60+ episodes, I'll be able to look back and fully see what Matt was building to and leaning towards, but right now, I cannot see the bigger picture.
OKAY, LET'S TALK POSITIVES.
I'm now 100% sold on Bor'Dor. Whatever I was feeling last episode that had me not connecting? GONE. Bor'Dor is fantastic and I love him. Deni$e is constant hit after hit, no losers here only winners. Very much interested to see what Emily's been hinting about with Prism. Private goal that she's hoping the group will help her with? Considerable interest in theft, to the point of thinking of it as the first option? Building resentment of having to study for her magic versus the scorcerers who are getting it with ease (nicely creating an interesting parallel with Ludinus)? LOVE IT. WANT TO KNOW MORE.
LOTS of lore drops in this episode, but it didn't ever drag for me. Voices from Matt threw me a little bit, the guards at the end were basically just Xandis's voice, and my mom pointed out that Proleff's voice was very very similar to Donnie Boy's. I suppose this is the eventual downside of watching all the campaigns, really starting to notice Matt's repeats more and more. ON THE OTHER HAND THAT STRONG BAD WAS SO PERFECT OMG.
I suppose I should have counted this as a bit of a negative, but a lot of the Abaddina stuff also felt...Off. Well, admittedly, this is coming from a white woman, but something about her physical description just hit a little to close to Mystic Native for me to be super comfortable with it. Being too sensitive? Likely! But it was there.
The more she spoke, the more it felt really cult like, scarily close to the US political landscape at times. Especially because the way she was describing it almost made it sound like she didn't have a problem with the gods per se, just their followers, until Ludinus's speech and suddenly she's a true non-believer and gods much be destroyed. My mom speculates that there was some sort of charm from his voice, I don't know.
.....Also was I the only one who thought that the elemental spirits (i'm not even going to try to find the proper names for them) could be the titans?? I could be WAAAAY off here, but it struck me hard.
The rebellion reminds me SO MUCH of the Knights of Requital from C2, and it's so funny that we're getting something that was so early C2 now in the 60th C3 episode. I think it was Utilitycaster who mentioned that now with the party split they are able to do more low-level campaign stuff that got skipped early on in favor of the Ruidus plot, and yeah - it really is feeling like that, but in the BEST way.
Next episode is going to be CHAOS, and may be LONG. I am expecting lots of casualties, sadly. I wonder if Matt will actually have the 60ish villagers participate, or if there's only going to be a handful that actually ever hit initiative.

Ok ok ok random observations i had while watching ep 1 of LT, which was amazing wonderful heartsopping showstopping breathtaking etc etc. (In all seriousness, it really exceeded my expectations)
- .... is it just me or did we get a flirty vibe, they might kiss vibe from august and day? No? Just me?
- i am so glad sea can play badminton bec they sold the intensity of the scene so well!
- not mork betting against day's team, which is his own country's lmao. Also not to be my overthinking self, but mork going from rooting against day to rooting for him, his wellbeing, happiness etc etc later on
- that transition between the match and the fight where both of their lives will forever change.... peak cinema
- day calling out for his mum (i might have teared up)
- the dread falling on mork's face when he kept asking porjai about his sister and THE DESPERATION IN HIS VOICE (i might have teared up x2)
- YAAAAS give me that lakorn intro-- this is when you know shit is good
- something something commentary about how the stigma of going to prison never leaving ex-convicts because society refuses to accept their reintegration into society something something
- porjai is so good, i love her already!
- Rung nooooooooo. The way mork's character is already fleshed out so perfectly in just 30 mins.... cinema. "The one who should feel guilty is her" omg
- the way day's internalized pain seeps into every word he says, every cynical comment. If people are going to treat him like he's invisible just because he lost his sight, he's going to force them to "see" him through his shocking words and attitude
- the interview scene was GOLD. I love how it's already telling us their dynamic and laying down the groundwork for their personalities together and how they'll constantly challenge each other
- The bandaid.... mork in rung's car remembering her with tears in his eyes (i teared up x3)
- Something something about how night's shirt is light blue (like the day) and day's is dark blue (light the night) with strips of light... i am thinking thoughts, not sure exactly what it is yet but i have them!
- ok but I LOVE how mork is just observing day and noticing how day is way more independent than his family makes him seem to be. I just really love how he didn't interfere and was /watching/ him, trying to figure him out
- Damn day harbors a lot of resentment towards night... this brings me back to the two photos we see of them in the very beginning and the contrast between them.... again, i am having thoughts...
- Day getting overwhelmed with the sounds of the cars and honks... mork saving day... mork giving day agency and asking where to take him.... CINEMA
- LIterally the first thing that came to mind when i saw the little prince was when your genius self said this:
Tumblr media
- "I'll see you." When both of them are falsly perceived by those around them. CINEMA
That was a FANTASTIC first episode. I can't wait to see how day and mork are gonna from this to this
Tumblr media
and this
Tumblr media
AND THIS
Tumblr media
One thing i am also so intrigued by is all the relationships they've hinted at so far: Night and Day as well as their relationship with their mom. Mork and Porjai. Day and August (and Gee). I cannot wait for all of this to be explored in the upcoming episodes!
I also have a feeling day's mom is not gonna be on board of this arrangement? but we'll see. FRIDAY WHEN?
I AM INCREDIBLY LATE AS USUAL WITH THIS REPLY BUT I HOPE YOU KNOW I WAS SO HAPPY TO GET ALL YOUR COMMENTS ABOUT THE FIRST EPISODE IT REALLY WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND EVEN MORE AND IM SO CURIOUS AND EXCITED ABOUT ALL THE DIFFERENT DYNAMICS I WISH I HAD THE TIME TO TALK ABOUT IT 24/7
as it is, please accept some of my very messy thoughts!!!!
- .... is it just me or did we get a flirty vibe, they might kiss vibe from august and day? No? Just me? <<< IT’S VERY MUCH NOT JUST YOU BECAUSE I HAD THE SAME FEELING. i actually got a message about august and day that i still didn’t get around to answer (because im terrible ;;;;;) and i wanted to go more in depth about their relationship there, but yeah, even if it was a very brief scene, i love how they already established their dynamic: you can tell that they both have very strong personalities and that as friends and as badminton partners they snark at each other but also deeply care, and the fact that this immediately makes you wonder if there ever was something more between them is incredibly effective because it will help the viewers understand how mork feels watching them from the outside and ask himself the exact same thing. sea and ohm also have a very nice chemistry, which isn’t only nice to see in itself but actually serves the narrative as well in this particular case
- i am so glad sea can play badminton bec they sold the intensity of the scene so well! <<< THAT'S OUR PROFESSIONAL BADMINTON PLAYER SEA TAWINAN ANUKOOLPRASERT AND NO ONE SHOULD FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!
- not mork betting against day's team, which is his own country's lmao. Also not to be my overthinking self, but mork going from rooting against day to rooting for him, his wellbeing, happiness etc etc later on <<< BRITNEY_YEAH.GIF I FEEL SO INCREDIBLY NORMAL ABOUT THIS IT’S HONESTLY INSANE HOW NORMAL AND HINGED AND SANE AND FINE I FEEL ABOUT THIS
- that transition between the match and the fight where both of their lives will forever change.... peak cinema <<< FIRST TEN MINUTES OF THE SHOW ARE REALLY GIVING VICE VERSA EPISODE 11 PART 1 LEVELS OF CINEMA LIKE THE TRANSITIONS THE PARALLELS THE TENSION THE IMPLICATIONS THE ALREADY PALPABLE LIFE ALTERING CONNECTION BETWEEN THEM THE IMPENDING SENSE OF TRAGEDY THE WATER MOTIF BEING DELIVERED BY THE PLAY OF LIGHTS I FEEL SO DEEPLY MENTALLY UNWELL ABOUT IT ALL [GETS DRAGGED INTO A PADDED ROOM]
- day calling out for his mum (i might have teared up) // - the dread falling on mork's face when he kept asking porjai about his sister and THE DESPERATION IN HIS VOICE (i might have teared up x2) <<< jimmysea showed up on that set and said we are ACTORS who ACT and then proceeded to indeed OUTACT OUTPERFORM OUTSELL OUTSERVE OUTSLAY the majority of the artists in the industry I SAID WHAT I SAID AND I WILL SHUT UP ONLY WHEN PEOPLE ARE GONNA STOP SLEEPING ON THEM. these two moments alone are already giving performance of all time!!!!!
- something something commentary about how the stigma of going to prison never leaving ex-convicts because society refuses to accept their reintegration into society something something <<< SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!!!!!! wish i had the time, energy and intelligence to write about the way both mork and day are being stigmatized (defined as the co-occurrence of labeling, stereotyping, separation, status loss, and discrimination) and how the label of ‘deviant’ (defined as departing from usual or accepted standards dictated by society) is altering their own perception of self BUT ALAS. SOMETHING SOMETHING INDEED
- porjai is so good, i love her already! <<< SAME!!!!! IM SO IN LOVE WITH HER AND HER FRIENDSHIP WITH MORK i love exes who realized that their love for each other has always been platonic and are now the most supportive friends to each other!!!!! unfortunately there's this theory im pretty much sure of that her current boyfriend is an asshole so IM READY TO FIGHT EVERYONE FOR HER
- the interview scene was GOLD. I love how it's already telling us their dynamic and laying down the groundwork for their personalities together and how they'll constantly challenge each other <<< NGL THIS GENUINELY MIGHT BE MY FAVORITE FIRST MEETING IN THE HISTORY OF FIRST MEETINGS. JUST THE CHEMISTRY THE TENSION THE SPARK THE ELECTRICITY THE MAGNETISM THE CHALLENGE THE SNARK THE SEEING THE PERCEIVING THE PULL TOWARDS EACH OTHER THE CHIN GRAB. i know im just screaming without adding anything of importance but GOD. i love to see two actual strangers with no previous attachment to each other meet and develop an interest in each other born from their actions and words and personalities. THEY HARDLY MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANYMORE NOWADAYS
- The bandaid.... mork in rung's car remembering her with tears in his eyes (i teared up x3) <<< THE GUILT THE GRIEF THE HURT THE FEELING OF BEING ABANDONED. BUT ALSO THE CARE THE LOVE THE DEVOTION THE KNOWLEDGE OF BEING LOOKED AFTER. ALL OF THIS PERFECTLY REPRESENTED BY A BANDAID AND A CAR. CAPITAL LETTERS CINEMA!!!!!!!!
- Something something about how night's shirt is light blue (like the day) and day's is dark blue (light the night) with strips of light... i am thinking thoughts, not sure exactly what it is yet but i have them! <<< YOU AND ME BOTH FRIEND LIKE. im already having so many thoughts about the lighting in the show going from dark and blue/gray to light and yellow/orange as mork and day get closer and start to change each other's lives, but now it also seems like their clothes are also gonna go from muted and more neutral colors to brighter and warmer ones, and then there are night and day as well and the way they both wore stripes in this episode but night's were vertical and day's horizontal AND I KNOW IT MEANS SOMETHING AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR SMARTER PEOPLE TO WRITE ABOUT IT AS I SCREAM WAIL HOWL SCREECH YELL IN THE DISTANCE
- ok but I LOVE how mork is just observing day and noticing how day is way more independent than his family makes him seem to be. I just really love how he didn't interfere and was /watching/ him, trying to figure him out <<< the aforementioned smarter people have already talked about this way better than i ever could, but i really do love how, in a world that wants them both to be invisible, mork and day are the only ones seeing each other. like you said before, part of the reason day is acting the way he is is because he doesn't want to become a ghost haunting other people's lives, the monster locked in the attic (if we want to use a literary reference), he wants to live and to be seen too, and i think it was so important to include a scene where mork is just WATCHING him, because being perceived may have become a meme, but that's what can eventually lead to curiosity and interest and understanding and love. you can't care about something you don't (want to) see, but fortunately, mork does
- Damn day harbors a lot of resentment towards night... this brings me back to the two photos we see of them in the very beginning and the contrast between them.... again, i am having thoughts... <<< not sure if you've seen it, but the current theory is night being somewhat responsible for day's accident, which i got the chance to talk about here if you want to check it out and then let me know what you think!!!!!
- LIterally the first thing that came to mind when i saw the little prince was when your genius self said this <<< NOT YOU REMEMBERING THINGS I SAID THAT I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER SAYING MYSELF PLEASE THAT'S JUST SO INCREDIBLY SWEET IM SO TOUCHED RIGHT NOW 😭😭😭 AND NOT TO TOOT MY OWN HORN BUT ONCE AGAIN I WANT TO POINT OUT JUST HOW MUCH I LOVE TO WIN WINNING AND BEING A WINNER. EVEN WHEN I FORGOT ABOUT THE VISION, THE VISION DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT ME HASHTAG WINNERY
IN CONCLUSION: LITERALLY US WATCHING EVERY SINGLE SCENE FROM THE EPISODE

Hello! I’m here for a toh oc matchup! I’m glad that ur open to writing them bcs I didn’t know if you’d be ok with any of that cuz I’m sure u have plenty of matchup requests lol
Ok so I can’t send pictures to u for some reason so I’m gonna do my best to describe my oc :’)
Oc’s name: Kai Maeverick Riverten
Species: Human
Tracks they’re in at hexide: Oracle and bard
Gender: Non-binary
Sexuality: Bisexual
Palisman: Female Cardinal
Age: 15
Likes: Puzzles, anime, video games, nature, music, daydreaming, riddles, escape rooms, magic, fantasy, sci-fi, cats, dogs, animals in general, cryptids, exploring abandoned buildings, collecting weird/antique objects, stuffed animals, zombie movies, Disney movies, space, playing the guitar, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, bad jokes, puns, sarcasm, shiny things, creepy stories, conspiracy theories, listening to missing person podcasts, true crime cases, Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters.
Kai has short black hair with a side cut with hair that was swept to the left, pale skin, dark purple eyebags, blue and hazel heterochromia, a sharp (ish?) jawline, a thin face with the slightest hint of cheek bones, and a round nose with a slight dent in it because of their square blue glasses that had a few tiny cracks in the frame.
Kai is kind of like Luz’s older sibling
Kai and their mom live with Camila after their mom divorced her dad, and has basically been Luz‘s childhood friend/sibling figure
Kai is usually very quiet and never really speaks, but whenever they do their usually saying something sarcastic or smug, but they’re secretly very kind and compassionate towards people they are close to (such as Luz)
Kai loves Luz like a sister, but also resents her because people in the demon realm always seem to prefer her over them
Kai usually hangs out with Hooty a lot since they’re both attention deprived, and once Lilith came along, they became a trio instead of a duo
Eda prefers Luz over Kai, which is another reason why they hang out with Lilith a lot, because she doesn’t play favorites
Kai is the more pessimistic one, and always focuses on the negative instead of a positive
Kai is also an over thinker, constantly wondering if Luz doesn’t need them anymore because of her new friends or if everybody secretly hates them
The reason why Kai doesn’t have any friends in the human realm was because of their interest in true crime and missing person cases, everybody found it weird and creepy when they were just interested in it
Kai is good at giving advice and helping people
Kai is extremely selfless and doesn’t focus on their own well-being that often
Kai’s father was abusive towards them, which is why their mother divorced him
Kai loves studying things about the Boiling Isles, which is what they do most of the time since nobody really hangs out with them
Kai has insomnia
Kai likes exploring the Boiling Isles with portable Hooty
I hope this wasn’t too much info/not enough info for ya! I don’t wanna overwhelm you :)

I match them with: Willow Park!
-Willow would solve puzzles with them.
-Obv with them liking nature and her liking plants and all that.
-Also to expand on that last one of liking nature not only does she like plants she loves animals of all types.
-Girl collects stuff animals.
-Okay I'm sorry that I keep bringing my ships into this but I ship huntlow, so I guess she just has a thing for Luz's older siblings.
-Idk why and canon literally disproves this in a way but I feel like Willow gravitates toward quiet people. (I know she is best friends with Luz and Gus 2 outgoing people but trust me on this one-)
-Willow treats Kai and Luz on the same level ( Okay she's Kai's girlfriend in this but she doesn't favor one in general yk?)
-Willow would reassure them, bro. She is literally known for being the person who cheers her friends up, I think it's called mom friend but I really don't know.
-If you don't have at least one "weird" interest you can't be friends with Willow actually.
-Honestly, they both seem to have their own problems but focus on others. So they just go in a circle of trying to help each other overcome their problems while not fixing their own.
-She would try to help them with their insomnia.
-Also I might be misremembering but (excluding Lilith) of all the characters who talk about Hooty she's the nicest. She makes one off-handed comment. So she'd be able to get along with Hooty.
I hope you like this! Sorry, it took so long also I didn't proofread this so I'm SO sorry if I misgendered them by accident tell me if I did so I can fix it.

Wes’ mom passed away yesterday. I am … feeling very matter-of-fact about it. I’m sad for everyone who is sad about it, without any judgement of my own, but I’m feeling very unaffected personally. Unusually so, I thought at first. I asked my coach if this was fucking weird because it feels so unlike me, and she said it was healthy in a different way than grieving is healthy, but still healthy nonetheless. Wes’ mom was an extreme alcoholic who lost her will to live after her abusive boyfriend died 3 months ago. The situation is deeply sad. Lots of people are sad that she’s gone. I am not, and it was an incredibly weird realization that I’m not, but it makes sense.
I spent the better part of a decade running damage control in the aftermath of other people’s dealings with her, people I love. For ten years, all I saw was the raw and ugly side of how she impacted people I care deeply and protectively for—both before and after I understood (was reminded) that addiction is devastation. I picked up pieces of things and relationships she broke, over and over, instead of having any type of relationship with her myself, a lot of which was my choice. I grieved my own loss of her as my favorite aunt, as someone in my huge fucked up family I actually had a relationship with at all, long ago. I accepted that she would probably not ever change, and I accepted that she would probably continue being cruel to people who attempted to help her until she died. (That remained true.) I took on a significant role in raising Wes, which I was terribly unequipped to do, because of her and her refusal to seek and accept help before it got capital-B Bad. (I’ve worked through all sorts of other feelings of how my own parents affected all of this too.) Wes’ mom had a heavy, uncomfortable indirect effect on me for a long, long time that I couldn’t escape and I’ve harbored an incredible amount of anger and resentment towards her for it and because of my often strained relationship with Wes in all its varying stages ever since my parents took him in ten years ago. I went through all the stages of grief about her while she was still alive and only yesterday realized that I had reached this weird finality, some strange kind of acceptance without knowing it some time ago. And now she is gone. All of the anger and resentment that has existed in me all this time, this quiet but powerful little frequency with nowhere to go—I can finally set it down. I don’t feel sad, I feel relief. I feel worry too, I am worried for deeply self-destructive Wes, but more than anything I’m just fucking sad for him. I have been for a while. I’ve finally arrived at the realization that I can be sad for him from a distance if he, too, refuses to seek and accept help. I hope he chooses light when he can and support when he can’t. I hope, I hope.

Chapter 11 - The Curse
word count: ~1k words
Truth is, Blair really is nervous. It’s the first time since the ritual that she’s been away from Taemin for more than a few hours, and she’s scared of how her body might react.
She’s now sitting in the bus, almost back to her hometown, wiping the blood spilling from her nose.
When she reaches the bus stop and jumps out, she knows she has to walk for about 20 minutes, but with how hard she’s dragging her feet around, the 20-minutes’ walk turns into 40.
The only good thing about this is that she sees a familiar face she’s really missed, who runs up to her immediately.
“Blair!” Mira exclaims happily. “You’re back?!”
“My mom died.” She says and chuckles slightly. “I’m really happy to see you, but I’m sad that you’re still here.”
“Well, can’t really cross over until this whole family dies. Only the eldest son to go, and I’m free.” Mira replies and looks back to her house – the place where she died.
Now that Blair thinks about it, Mira and Taemin are quite similar in this aspect. Both wished ill on the family of the people who murdered them. Mira’s also been around for many, many years, and apparently, the grudge fuelled by hatred she placed on that family was so huge, no one was able to escape its grasp. She wished for all the members to be unhappy for the rest of their days, until eventually the whole family wipes out, and they were never able to find happiness, so most ended up either committing suicide, or unintentionally overdosing and killing themselves.
“I guess so…” Blair replies after a while.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“What do you mean?”
“Something feels… different. I don’t know how to explain it, but it’s like… you’re not fully here. You’ve changed.”
“I guess I have.” Blair smiles sympathetically, before feeling another rush of fatigue brushing over her. “Listen, it was great seeing you, but I have to go in.”
“Good to see you, kiddo. I’m glad you’re still out there somewhere, and I’ll be rooting for you, always.”
“I hope you’ll get to cross over soon.” Blair says, then makes her way towards the house.
Once she goes in, she’s shocked at how weird it feels to be back. She hasn’t been here since she was 18, but nothing’s changed: the wallpaper is still the same, the rugs are old, her mom is in the kitchen-
“Mom?!” Blair exclaims in shock. “What the fuck!”
“Blair! Oh, wow. No way! You came!” Her mother turns around as soon as she hears her voice.
“Of course I did, you died! Why are you still here?!”
“Thank God you’re here. Otherwise… I would’ve never been able to leave.”
“What the heck. Okay. Wow. I was not expecting our reunion to go like this. I actually expected no reunion! I thought you'd already crossed over!”
“I’ve had a lot of regrets when it came to us, so I just… couldn’t. Not unless I talked to you.”
Blair sighs. A part of her feels happy – the young girl who craved her mother’s love –, but another part of her – Blair, the adult – finds it hard not to resent her for putting her through hell and abandoning her as soon as she became of age.
However, she really wants to hear what could possibly keep her mother on Planet Earth still, so she sits down at the kitchen table and hears her out.
“First of all, I really want to apologise for… not believing you. It’s obviously true that you’ve been seeing ghosts now, and that you weren’t crazy…”
“Thanks for believing me.” Blair responds mockingly.
“Look… a part of me always knew you were telling the truth, but… I really didn’t want to accept it. I wanted you to be normal, not… ostracised by everyone else. I wanted you to break the curse.”
“The curse?”
“Listen, Blair… there’s something you don’t know. I hoped that by ignoring it, it’s gonna go away, but it obviously hasn’t…”
“Ok, Mom, stop beating around the bush and tell me.”
“Many, many years ago, your grandfather did something unforgivable. He… took someone else’s life. A young man’s…”
“What?!” Blair’s eyes grow wide. She certainly didn’t expect that. She doesn’t remember her grandfather well, as he died when she was still really young, but…
“He got away with it, but he paid the price so much more harshly… as you know, he had 4 other children. 4 other sons, to be exact.”
“Yes… but they died quite young, didn’t they?”
“Mhm. On his deathbed, my father… your grandfather confessed his crime, and told me something terrifying. The young man he killed… placed a curse on him. May all your offspring be cursed. May all the men that share your blood die painful deaths at a young age. May all the women that share your blood lead unhappy, unfulfilled lives, ostracised by everyone else.”
“That’s terrible…” Blair shakes her head, remembering Mira’s curse on the family next door. Maybe the man her grandfather killed is still out there, somewhere. Maybe she can meet him and help him cross over.
“I truly didn’t want to believe that bullshit, but seeing that all my brothers were dead, seeing that I can’t get along with anyone and I’m never feeling happy… and seeing you, ostracised by everybody because you could see ghosts… I couldn’t take it, Blair. I ended up taking it on you for no reason. I’m so sorry. I drove you, who were clueless and innocent, away…”
“Mom… What was the name of the man grandpa killed?”
“You will receive a newspaper from my solicitor. It has the man’s story… Perhaps it will help you, and you will break the curse. Blair, I think it’s time to go. I’m truly sorry, my baby. I love you.”
“Ok mom… yeah, you can… you can go now.” Blair smiles weakly as she watches her mother disappear.

👁‍🗨 - what is a secret that kotone and drayton hasn’t told and might never tell?
Tumblr media
Questions For My Muse(s) [ accepting ]
Tumblr media
That she's incredibly lonely. That she's desperate for attention. That she wants people to see her for who she is. She doesn't want to be an afterthought anymore. She always felt like an afterthought with her parents, who were more focused on work than they ever were on her. But asking for those things feels wrong and selfish. It feels like wanting too much, even though it's incredibly natural to want people who love and accept you.
And that's absolutely why she settles for doing things that would otherwise get her in trouble or are outright dangerous.
She would never admit to anyone that she's crying out for love and attention. Who does that? No. It's fine. Smile. Pretend like nothing hurts.
Nothing's wrong.
Nothing.
Is.
Wrong.
She promises.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Drayton would never admit out loud that he's incredibly jealous of and resentful towards Iris. Sure, she's like a sister to him in a lot of ways, but she also added to the mounting expectations on his shoulders. Whether she realizes it or not...
Being Drayden's grandson, everyone — especially Drayden himself —expects him to be an incredible Dragon type trainer. He's all but expected to be good enough to take over the Opelucid gym when he's mature enough to run it as well. But he has no interest in any of that. He doesn't want to run the gym. He doesn't want to carry on this legacy that was supposed to belong to his mom in the first place.
Enter Iris. Even though he hated the way she stole all the attention right away because she's fun and strong and personable in ways he could never hope to be, at least when she was up and coming, it seemed only natural she would be the one to take over Opelucid gym.
And then she became Champion.
Suddenly all expectations to succeed Drayden were back on his shoulders. He's back to square one. Drayden has called him out on his lack of motivation so many times he's got the lecture practically memorized by now. And none of this is helped by his school reputation. Why can't he just follow his own path and figure out what he wants to do for himself?
But he can't do that. He can't be even more of a disgrace to his family than he already is. Might as well just keep his mouth shut and go with the flow — as always.
