It means nothing to her. Living. Ava would be so ashamed. She tried. God, she tried. But the life that they’d lived together left a gaping hole in her heart. And she needed to feel something. She needed her sisters again, falling into easy routine.
Training. Mission. Recovery.
Training. Mission. Recovery.
Mission. That’s where they were now.
Dragged out of bed in the early dawn, summoned to a series of dimensional pulses. The rough cobblestones rocked against their feet as they shuffled along, hidden in the shadows of the old buildings.
“This way,” Camila whispered, gesturing up ahead as she looked up from her tablet.
The pulses were getting stronger, Bea’s heart beating in tandem. She didn’t know why she could feel them. The other sisters gave no indication that they could, so Beatrice shoved it down, attributing it to the years of experience.
“Almost there,” Cam squealed, rushing a bit ahead of the pack.
It was a normal town square, open air, plenty of space, surely bustling by midday. But the tips of Bea’s fingers tingled, adrenaline redirecting it elsewhere.
“Camila slow–”
The pulsing exploded, a steady BAM BAM BAM against her sternum as the air erupted, sparks of orange and red bursting through the air, tarask swiping through the silence.
Her legs propelled her on instinct, eyes fixed on dear Sister Camila, head ducked and still buried in her tablet.
The blue glow of the screen made Bea’s heart jolt, shining against Cam’s face like the shards they’d pulled from Shannon not just last year.
No.
She was not going to lose another sister.
She flew across the square, snapping her wrists the second she made contact with her battle habit to drive Camila as far away as possible.
A sharp rod slid through her armour as another ring of blue appeared, angry tarask growling, hot air blistering against her face.
Is this how Lilith felt?
Cold creeps up her fingertips, neck stiff. The air forces itself from her lungs, and she can’t get it back, mouth gaping in shock.
Ava climbs through the portal, a divinium knife flying through the air. It meets its target, right through the monster’s heart, and Bea can’t help but smile.
She knows the second Ava sees her, eyes shining with elation, wide grin splitting her face.
The tarask roars, and Bea feels it. It rocks her, digging deeper through her  middle. The sluggish spurts of red falling from her abdomen, sapping the warmth from her bones. The tarask vibrates behind her, breaching this realm for the next, and Bea wants to beg, “No, I just got her back–”
It’s like a higher power hears her plea, her heavy limbs sliding her down the claws, crumpling straight to the floor.
The ground blurrily comes up to meet her, head bouncing from the weakness. She can’t even hold up her own head.
The impact jars her, the emptiness suddenly gone, replaced by thick syrup sticking to her throat, blocking the airway.
Faint hollers reach her ears as her lung convulses with coughs, desperate to expel the blood pooling in her lungs.
She’s been blessed again, right in the view of Ava’s wonderful face. Thank you. The last thing she’ll see before she dies.
She thinks Ava’s face falls, but half her gaze is obscured by the cobblestones pressing into her face. The other half is hazy. Between the dark splotches, two Avas rush towards her, overlapping and separating with each sway.
Ava’s twinkling voice sounds like it’s underwater, just out of reach for clarity.
“Bea–”
A deep chill runs through her bones, barely mustering up the strength to comprehend the words, but she’s here.
“Stay with me Bea,” drifts into her ears.
The pulses keep going, portals thrumming with energy. It was Ava, calling for her.
But her heart misses a beat, pulsing a half-second slower than the dimensional field. Then a second. Then two. Then three.
The splotches have disappeared, replaced with a dark veil, falling like a curtain over her vision. Shaky hands gather her up into their arms. She wants to reciprocate, but her limbs refuse, weighed down by a million different forces.
The darkness abates for a second, Ava’s brilliant brown eyes shining back at her. Seeing her.
“I missed you,” she chokes, copper on her tongue. It comes out weak, and for a second, she thinks that Ava hears nothing at all.
“I love you,” Ava responds, clutching her closer. “Please don’t leave me, please don’t leave me.”
She hears, but her brain is slow to process, fuzzy and waning. But she has to say it back, she has to. She didn’t when Ava first left and now–
”I love you too.”
Her eyes have slid shut, so she doesn’t see the glow. But she feels the warmth, spreading over her limbs and soothing the aches and pains.
She doesn’t see the Halo in Ava’s back, but she feels it, beating steady til hers matches.
“I’m not letting go of you yet love,” a tender promise by her ear.
The halo glows harder, a faint tingle in her side.
It comes out stronger this time, steady and sure. She pries her eyes open, reveling in the soft glow.
"Ava."
Ava stares back at her, devotion apparent. God, how Beatrice would kill to just touch her face, soft skin gentle under her fingertips. Warm and real.
Her body responds now, an affectionate smile curling her lips.
“I love you.”
In this life.
And evermore.

CALLING ALL EXMORMONS/PIMOS
i have a proposition- lets all write the nastiest, most unhinged, atrocious mormon themed smut that we possibly can. It was honestly weirdly healing for me to read wild ass smut on ao3 that was themed around the religion and not the musical, and i want it to become such a popular trend for exmos and pimos to start doing that they have to start vagueing about it in general conference. It doesnt have to be good. It just needs to *be.*
Once im done writing my Ammon×Lamoni smut fic I'm absolutely reblogging this post with the link added, please join me in this unhinged rebellion

If pyro was a pybro in canon, i wonder how devoted he would be to the engineer. Like, would he be able to willingly fight engineer if he asked or would that break a promise that pyro swore to himself about always protecting him even if it kills him?? Would he be able to look at him and choose to give him the smallest papercut??

DanandPhilCrafts + Fucked Up Queer Devotion + Christian Homophobia: An Essay
We’ve all been talking about the willingness of Dan and Phil to perform the ritual, we’ve all been talking about the intimacy of carving out your lover’s heart, but I have not heard anyone talk about the fucked up side of Dan and Phil’s (fictional) relationship with each other, and with Him, so here goes.
On the craft channel, Dan and Phil act overwhelmingly positive, like satanic children’s show hosts, but this is clearly a farce. We see them drop their smiles quite a few times during the crafting- most notably in Glitter Faces when Dan’s craft turns out wrong, and when Phil cuts Dan’s hand. “Don’t cry, craft” is directed towards the audience, but it seems Dan and Phil are following their own advice. Cults, after all, prey on vulnerable people. While they do seem scared of doing the ritual, and their involvement with Him, they are, however, definitely willing. In
The blood on Dan after he kills Phil is interesting; The handprint on his shirt isn’t a sign of a struggle, but rather Phil just grabbing his shirt- that’s pretty intimate, honestly. The blood on his face could’ve been caused by a bunch of things: blood splatter he wiped at? wiping at his face (eyes?) with a bloody hand? or Phil holding his face? (I like the third option) The blood on his nose might totally have been accidental, and just a thing that happened, but it could also be an allusion to the cat whiskers, in the spirit of bringing things back to the beginning and whatnot.
After the ritual is complete, there’s the obvious tarot symbolism. @freckliedan has a great post about this, but I’ve got more to add, so bear with me. Yes, Dan and Phil are framed as the lovers, but that’s not all. While the sexual deviance associated with the devil card has clear connections to queerness, it’s main association is usually unhealthy relationships and dependence. From this, and the obvious devotion displayed in the video, the craft versions of Dan and Phil are implied to be unhealthily dependent on each other, and devoted to the point of obsession. While the relationship certainly isn’t abusive, this obsession just isn’t healthy.
Furthering the unhealthy relationship idea is when Phil calls Dan “Sampson”. In the Bible or whatever (I’m not Christian sue me) Sampson topples these pillars, killing both himself and his enemies, which has a clear parallel to Dan’s stacked ingredients falling over, but the use of “folly” is interesting, and suggests a further connection. Sampson had married a prostitute, and she sold him out, basically, leading to his enslavement and later death. In this story, this is the clearest and most obvious act of folly by Sampson: marrying someone who he shouldn’t have, someone who it was taboo for him to be with. Connected to Dan and Phil, it suggests that their relationship is dangerous due to the social taboo, but it’s also implied that Phil will betray Dan. Perhaps we’ll see that in a 5th crafts installment, or perhaps it’s simply a commentary on being in a relationship with someone considered unacceptable.
Speaking of unhealthy relationships, that’s sure what they’ve got with Him! Leading up to the ritual, Dan and Phil are shown to be scared of Him, even though they call Him their friend. Dan’s head shake when Phil says “crafting has improved my life in numerous ways” is very telling. At the end, Dan’s shoulders tense at His first footstep, however, when He actually touches Dan, he doesn’t seem scared at all- forgive me for this next point, but from the way he kinda leans into the touch and tilts his head back, it seems more like he’s going for “turned on” rather than “scared”.
“Okay, cool” you say, “but what does it mean?” Well, Dan and Phil’s relationship in this series is not just about homoerotic undertones- this is an allegory for toxic queer sexual relationships. Why would they make something about toxic relationships when they’re in a healthy relationship? With the toxicity, and the power imbalances, and the satanism, Dan and Phil’s (fictional) relationship is a representation of Christian fears of queerness, and the supposed immoral/corrupting/anti-Christian effects of being in a queer relationship. The fear Dan and Phil show throughout the series is representative of internalized homophobia. They’re scared to align themselves with Him because it means accepting their own queerness. Dan shows more fear than Phil throughout the series (like after his glitter face turns out to be a pentacle) which parallels his real world internalized homophobia that he’s experienced. By holding hands with the devil (or baphomet?) standing behind them, Dan and Phil have embodied every conservative fear about queerness, but have come out on top. Through their YouTube channel, we get to do the same.

Aye aye hello there. Thoughts on uhhhhh ghirademi?
Tumblr media
ohoho. so given the events in my fic ghirademi isnt necessarily a ship i enjoy to the same degree as i do, say, the ones i draw all fluffy and silly, but. *inhales*
THE SCENE WHERE DEMISE RIPS THE SWORD OUT FROM GHIRAHIM'S CHEST WAS SINGLEHANDEDLY THE MOST HOMOEROTIC THING I'VE EVER SEEN AND WAS ONE OF THE MAIN INSPOS OF TFTK!!!
ahem. yes unfortunately not a bingo but i cannot deny the immense devotion ghira has for demise. the thing that strikes me as unfortunate with them (in a thematically delicious way) is that i think much of it is one-sided. the way ghirahim lives for demise i simply don't see being reciprocated. most i'd see coming from Demise's side is a bit of a weakspot for his little sword freak who loves him so deeply. maybe occasionally he'll throw him a bone to indulging him in his affections, but that is about it, i think.
really there's something tragic about it because for their dynamic i mostly see demise, certainly, enabling the worst in him and encouraging him and giving him the freedom to be the way that he is, but at the end of the day seeing him as a tool as a means to an end that he mostly allows to fawn over him because it's a good way to keep him loyal and also there's something amusing about it to him.
i enjoy it, i enjoy art for them, but i feel a little bad for ghirahim in the ship because he isn't being loved the way he doesn't exactly wishes he was (let's be real, he's happy with anything as long as it's demise), but the way I THINK he deserves to be. which is to say, bloodily and horribly. so i don't think about it all Tooooooo long or i get SAD

Soulmate Bracket: Round 1 [Side A — Part VI]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Provided reasoning under cut:
Yusuf “Joe” Al Kaysani & Nicolo “Nicky” Di Genova
Icons. I haven’t seen the movie in years but (if you haven’t seen it) they met way way back in the day (like Nicky was a Templar, that’s about as far back in the day) as enemies, but because they’re immortal they couldn’t kill each other and just epic homoerotic sword fight. Your honour they’re gay and in love, and have always been in love and it’s beautiful. They get kidnapped and put into a private get to get taken away, you know what Nicky says? “There’s a TV, Joe!” He’s just excited to be with his husband. Later on, Joe goes on a full rant to their captors about how much he loves Nicky. Like!! They’re immortal gay lovers, put them in the bracket, please <3
Literally begging you to watch The Old Guard if you haven't already it has rewritten my brain chemistry. ANYWAY they guard are a found family of humanity-saving traumatized immortals. Each of them have died countless times on missions throughout the ages. Joe and Nicky in particular were responsible for killing each other, the first time they died. And when it didn't work and they both came back to life on the battlefield, they just KEPT KILLING EACH OTHER AGAIN, and I ask you is there, truly, a funnier start to a ship dynamic than that. In present time they are canonically devoted partners, but not boyfriends! If you. If you've heard the speech, yknow? .....You should hear the speech. Again, rewired brain chemistry. ALSO off topic but it didn't seem to require my email for this submission so the problem you were experiencing there may be resolved? At least for some users. Idk.
Finn the Human & Jake the Dog
in canon they die at the end, jake gives up a perfect afterlife to reincarnate with finn again and again and they always find eachother in every life. they are so important to me.
THEY LITERALLY WERE REINCARNATED SEVERAL HUNDRED YEARS IN THE FUTURE AS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE BUT SOMEHOW THEY STILL FOUND EACH OTHER AND ARE STILL BEST FRIENDS EVEN IF THY HAVE FORGOTTEN THEIR PAST LIVES

Rhaenicent predictions for S2? My guess is they’ll have Alicent abandon her family and join Team Black. It’s the only way I can see the ship becoming canon.
Apologies in advance, I meant to keep this brief, but... well, they are my otp.
My view on Rhaenicent is basically this:
Tumblr media
Okay. Jokes aside, I’m not predicting that Rhaenicent will ever become canon. They simply have too much bad blood and too many war crimes in the baggage to ever reunite, and we all know there is much more and much worse to come.
Yes, they’re clearly in love and never got over each other, but while I'm fairly sure Rhaenyra, raging bisexual that she is (me too girl lmao) recognises their past situationship for what it was, I'm not sure Alicent ever acknowledged it even to herself. She may be the lesbianest lesbian that Westeros ever saw, but she's also spent years repressing that part of herself and devoting herself to the role of a wife and a mother as well as to her religious convictions. (And yes, it is very telling that in spite of all that, Alicent was ready to jump into bed reconcile with Rhaenyra in episode 8 anyway.)
Most importantly though, there is no way in hell Alicent is going to abandon her children — the children she’s suffered and sacrificed so much for — for Rhaenyra’s sake. That is not happening. Likewise, I have a hard time seeing Rhaenyra forgiving Alicent for, as she sees it, participating in the usurpation of her throne. I would love for them to have hate sex, but at this point I don’t see any possibility for an actual full reconciliation that wouldn’t be a betrayal of either character.
What I AM predicting is boatloads of gay pining and homoerotic fighting, much like in season 1. I’m expecting that, in spite of all that's happened and all the ways they've hurt each other, both Rhaenyra and Alicent will have a lot of conflicting feelings about going to war against each other. One or both of them might even advocate for the other to be spared should their side win. If and when they meet face to face again I expect the romantic tension to be off the damn charts, but I don’t think either of them will acknowledge it, because how could they? They’re enemies now, after all. They both have their own families to protect and their own diametrically opposed ambitions to fight for now. I expect them to homoerotically commit all of the war crimes and hurt each other over and over, because they're at war and they have to, and hate every second of it. They hate each other and miss each other all at once. They want each other and can never have each other. They were forced apart and suffer for it. That's the tragedy I am expecting and hoping to see.
TLDR: I don't think they will ever reconcile, and I'm completely fine with that. The possibility of them becoming canon has never been part of the appeal of Rhaenicent to me. I am simply of the opinion that everything, especially war crimes, is much more fun with homoerotic subtext. I'm just here for the gay tragedy of it all.

I saw some posts comparing Dreamling to Corintheus today, stating how on one hand Dreamling is soft and fluffy while Corintheus is cannablism and i went WHAT? NO? As a dreamling shipper who understands Corintheus shippers on a spiritual level, something you must understand is that for Dream, both the Corinthian and Hob Gadling are on the opposite sides of the same spectrum, the spectrum being religious blasphemy, devotion, violence and murder, and assorted manwhore qualities.
Whats the difference? I WOULD say, correct me if im wrong, that the spectrum most reliably tips on a scale of DEVOTION (Hob) to RELIGIOUS BLASPHEMY (Corinthian)
Devotion is an important appeal to Corintheus in PERIPHERY of Corinthian viewing Dream as his maker and God.
While religious blasphemy is an appeal to Dreamling in PERIPHERY of Hob's homoerotic devotion to Dream
You feel? They both revolve around unhealthy dynamics and worship and violence and murder. I hate to say it, but Hob is just the man you bring home to ur parents (high school sweetheart, fucks like a stallion) and The Corinthian is the subordinate at work you should NOT have been fucking for 5 years. The real answer to this problem is that they all should fuck each other

One random funny shipping trope I like occasionally is when the same person ends up dating two members of the same family (either at the same time (dating the parent and their kid) or at different times (dating the parent/ancestor/elder and then dating the child/descendant/younger at a later date)
Some notable examples from my brain:
Urbosa x Botw Zelda's mother + Zelbosa
What can I say? I first saw the former on Twitter and loved the fanart/au ideas of this ship. Frankly, I like it on its own whether as an au where they got married/became partners, or even if it's a homoerotic friendship with unrequited feelings (on Urbosa's end at the very least).
As for the latter, it kind of just struck me when I first watched that memory in base botw where Urbosa is holding Zelda as she sleeps (tuckered out from surveying) and talks to Link about her. This scene really set Urbosa up as a comforting presence to Zelda, and the knowledge that Urbosa displays sets her up as someone just inherently close to her (or at least someone who has been watching her all this time)
Under the framework of this post though, I love to imagine that Urbosa either has/had a secret thing with Zelda's mother, watched over her diligently and tried to position herself as a helpful presence, and then once Zelda properly grew up and started to get older, feelings (on Zelda's side first) started to grow more uncertain. I'd like to think under this framework that once Zelda becomes an adult and comes to terms with these feelings, she becomes embarassed around Urbosa😂
Or, as someone I know once said "Don't you think it's funny? Urbosa had a thing with the mother and the daughter!"
I also can't help but think back to this post I saw on my for you page about how a "MILF" should specifically be a woman old enough to be your mother. So like. It's also funny to imagine like, a sweet childhood friends situation with past!Urbosa/Zelda's mom, but then Zelda being so down bad for a MILF with eventual Zelbosa
Botw Zelimpa + Zelpaya
Now, I've shipped Zelimpa in botw since Age of Calamity released. Real princess and her number one bodyguard kind of situation seemed to be going on there (for the record, I watched the trailer and played chapter 1 of that game). As for Paya/Zelda, I didn't really think much about it until I (1.) got into botw Zelimpa and (2.) went through Paya's diary in botw and it hit me that Paya could very plausibly be into both Zelda as well as Link.
Under the framework of this post, I really can't help but think of them like parallels to the movie Hook (Paralleling Peter/Wendy and Peter/Moira). In this case, it's funny to me to imagine Zelda having this deep bond and relationship between Impa during AoC era, and then 100 years later (post botw) when she finally meets Impa again, Impa introduces her to Paya. And while Zelda sort of slowly falls for Paya as they hang out and get to know each other and talk, the feelings hit Paya like cupid's arrow (I love you bi crisis Paya).
Nanago + Goyuu
This one sorta came about because (in addition to both of these ships) I like those aus where Nanami is Yuji's adoptive parent. And so it's funny to imagine a situation in which Nanago are exes and/or divorced, and then like years later Yuji and Gojo have one of those chance meeting x romcom romances where they both find out after the fact that Gojo was once with Nanami, but it ends up being Nanami who's the most annoyed and bothered about this situation in the end
Nanami really wishes his adoptive son would dump his ex's ass😂
Rigurd/Siguriddle + Hayariddle
This one's a bit different just because Hayato is Sigurd's reincarnation rather than Sigurd being Hayato's ancestor, but it’s close enough. And it's close enough because this is actually arguably pretty close to UR canon?😂
Like Riddle has an entire King and his most devoted servant/secretary thing going on. There is so much implying that Riddle was probably in love with him, if not that they actually were involved as a couple. And then after his lord (Sigurd) dies, he dutifully makes sure that his beloved's soul reincarnates properly. And then he watches over and protects Hayato (said reincarnation) as he grows up, sets his plans in motion and inserts himself into Hayato's life when Hayato turns 17, and then grows attached to him enough that when he finally ressurects his dear lord after centuries, he chooses his reincarnation over him. And if the ending of that manga tells me anything, it’s that Riddle really did get the King and his reincarnation 😂
Vintaker + R!Ciel/Undertaker
I haven't actually read far enough into BB to know a lot of details, but all I need to know is that the Undertaker may have been implied to be involved with generations of phantomhives, that he did canonically hang with Vincent, and that he's like the Sebastian to R!Ciel. Funny to imagine him involved with the father, and so too his precious dead heir that the undertaker went through the trouble of trying to bring back
Lansoni + King Sonic/Galahad
If you follow me you may have already seen me posting about them but regardless
Satbk is the only continuity where a version of Shadow (Lancelot in this case) is arguably Silver's (Galahad's) dad. I will be completely real with you it is so funny to imagine King Arthur "Sonic" Pendragon being involved in a relationship with two of his knights, both of which just so happen to be father and son. Shenanigans abound. It's funny to imagine

I've been thinking about Golden Maiden, Silver Bride last couple of days, so I made the central characters in this picrew!
Miävi (MC)
she's basically a magic robot made out of silver and gold
she was created couple of years ago and her body was made to be adult's body in shape but because she's not human with human brain that needs development, in her behavior and understanding she's basically a teenager/pre-teen, though of course she has less life experience than a human teenager
she's sort of a mix of veere (a sort of demigod, who are kinda distantly like elves (though based on Baltic Finnic mythology's Kalevanpojat/Kalevipoeg)) and mountain elf of metals, since she's made of metal and a part of the soul of her creator, Tyynövin, who is veere
she's based on the mythical figure Kultaneito (Golden Maiden) from Baltic Finnic mythology
she's very sheltered and a people pleaser and extremely repressed (has some anger issues buried deep into that repression)
Tyynövin made her to be his perfect bride, but she was not and he planned on murdering dismantling her, so she escaped
Tiera
Miävi's guard and father figure
human
he was extremely devoted to Tyynövin, but he became attached to Miävi and when Tyynövin was about to kill her, he choose her over his loyalty and helped her escape
Tyynövin's magic was keeping a curse from spreading in his body though, so when he is on the run with Miävi, the curse slowly destroys his body
he's quiet, not great in social situations and looks always angry, but is also very caring
extremely divorced even though he is actually still married
he's extremely lightly based on the mythological side character of the same name from Baltic Finnic mythology
(in the myths he's a brother in arms to Lemminkäinen and because he's so eager to get to war he doesn't consummate his marriage with his newlywed wife, and with the homoerotism inherent to all-male armies I could only think there's no heterosexual explanation for this, and I knew I needed to make a character out of it)
Vanaróu (Vaan)
he's a veere from Caie's clan
his character is also lightly based on the tragic hero Kullervo from Baltic Finnic mythology
Tyynövin is from the Urva's clan, who massacred the Caie's clan, which only Vaan survived, so in vengeance he killed Tyynövi's wife, which is why Tyynövin tried and failed to replace her with Miävi
Vaan lives with humans who try to stay independent from the Urva empire
he has a bloodthirsty talking sword and regenerative magic that heals his wounds
he's a certified himbo, but also has a violently angry side, though he rarely let's it be seen
GMSB tag list: @siarven @worldbuildng @outpost51 @faelanvance
Let me know if you want to be added or removed!
I hope I didn't miss anyone since I seemed to have lost the tag list i made for GMSB, so I went through my posts where people might have asked to be added to this. If I didn't tag you and you had asked to be tagged earlier, please let me know and I'm very sorry :D

on my rewatch of high & low the worst x i can solidly conclude that i think suzaki and amagai make each other worse instead of it just being a one-sided thing on amagai's part.
because on the surface level you have suzaki and his devotion to amagai clearly driving the plot, without suzaki doing most of what he did to help amagai he probably wouldn’t have gotten very far. but i also think that suzaki aids in amagai actively dodging consequences for his own actions.
like at the end of the film, where [spoilers] amagai ended up alone with the rest of his alliance fleeing and no one there willing to help save for suzaki. which, yes, very cool of a friend / mildly homoerotic coded character to do for his friend / childhood crush, but it also highlights my point.
suzaki made this promise to amagai that he would become strong enough to protect him one day, and now he is strong and protects him but also enables amagai in the god complex he’s built up by frequently tricking him into believing he’s invincible at this point.
from what i was getting, i don’t think amagai has had to lift a finger to fight in his life. mostly due to all the scenes wherein he hangs back unless he knows his opponent is considerably weaker or is armed with a weapon. tsukasa being the leading example, but even then tsukasa was holding his own pretty well and if the roles were reversed i doubt there’d be much of a fight at all.
what i’m saying, basically, is that suzaki kind of majorly lets amagai get away with this perception he’s built of himself by continuously building up the idea that he’s invincible through his mindless devotion, unconsciously or not.
because, i’m not like mad at suzaki i know he’s just like that because he’s gay and sad but i need to point out this is a co-dependent relationship and amagai is much more reliant on suzaki when it comes to building his whole worldview than he realizes

Okay hear me out, Goncharov AU of BBC Merlin
Arthur is obviously Goncharov himself — The Protagonist, struggling to define who he is a person, always running out of time, constantly betrayed by the ones close to him. Marries Katya but has that whole homoerotic tension with Andrey. The whole “was doomed from the start”/tragic hero narrative
Merlin is Andrey — Is always by Goncharov’s side. His inevitable betrayal towards Goncharov (revealing his magic to Arthur)
Guinevere is Katya — Marries Goncharov. Even her devotion to him isn’t enough to save him from the narrative. Had something going on with Sofia before deciding to marry Goncharov, strangling their bonds afterwards even though the bittersweet memories will always be there
Morgana is a perfect Sofia — Protective over Katya from the very first scene where Goncharov asks about her. Had something going on with Katya before she decided to marry Goncharov. Still feels for Katya
Gwaine is (hear me out, you know it’s true) Ice Pick Joe — Always looking for a fight/someone to stab. Stuck in the cycle of violence. Playful attitude to hide the traumas from his past

Speak more about the Izzy/Ricky ship.

like idk what if instead Prince Ricky swindled his way onto the Revenge (this is bearing in mind that we had significantly more run time to devote to it), a consequence of Stede's generous nature despite Ricky annoying the shit out of him obvs but maybe Stede feels bad, sees a bit of himself in this creepy loser that wants to be a pirate so bad so okay RICKEE come on aboard and see what it's all about and within a week you'll be throwing yourself off the side of the ship just to get away, but hey this IDIOT needs a mentor and Stede's too busy being Captain (doesn't want to do it) and no one else can be fucked so Izzy just kinda steps up, thinking he'll just accelerate the process of getting rid of this guy and showing Stede it was a mistake to bring him into the crew in the first place. But at least now Izzy has a sort of 'dummy' he can practice his sword skill one-legged on, he already lost a nose so what's another appendage? But Prince Ricky was actually schooled in fencing, he's rich and a Prince afterall and that's just what they do, not the kind of fencing that would protect him among pirates at all, but he ends up having some decent footwork and response time and then we get a kind of homoerotic heated swordplay scene between the two where Izzy's challenging/upstaging him at every turn (shirtless, of course) and Ricky's just getting more aroused by the whole thing tbh idk I'm just spitballing here but I totally see it lmao
I guess I'm saying I think if Stede had taken Ricky on the ship to intern as a pirate we could have had a very interesting dynamic between the two. They're not...the SAMe but there's similarities there that I can't put my finger on yet.
And of course I kind of love that Ricky is...kind of an edgier version of Stede and the idea of Izzy having his own version of 'Stede' paralleling Ed is too funny/delicious to me and I think it's a shame they missed out on that tbh, could've been great
