You recall drunk-asking them a while back when you and your group went out to the club- if they ever got tired of having to look after you when you got drunk. They didn’t answer you right away, just softly smiling at you as you leaned into them, fidgeting with the rings on their slender fingers.

“WHATS UP GUYS its sam and colby! and today we’re going to be exploring an haunted area with two special guests..”colby exclaimed.

“hi!” you and r/n wave at the camera when they point towards you guys.

you’ve never been fond about being out in the middle of the night in a haunted area. It never really caught your attention. You zone out while sam and colby explain what we’re going to be doing. you think to urself if it wasn’t for colby, you wouldn’t be here with two idiots in the middle of the night.

“..and here we go!..” sam shouted as he grabbed the camera from the cars hood.

You follow them closely behind and listen to everything near you. it spooks you on how calm sam and colby can be during this time. The crunch of the leaves calms you down. R/n tries making conversations with you but you respond very dryly. You enter the building by jumping over bricks, assuming its the window part of the wall, basically illegally. Watching your step, you grab onto sam when he helps you down, spitting out a quiet thank you. Lifting your head, taking a look at colby wondering why he didn’t help you. Your mind wonders off, forgetting about the video.

Walking over into a unsettling room, a loud bang echoed through the walls and you freeze in shock. R/N jumps over to Colby and grips his shoulder, Colby comforts her and doesn’t call you over or anything. Ignoring his actions, you walk over to where you think the sound was made as soon you did sam zooms in on you. You shout loudly when a piece of brick fell.

“OH FUCK NO. I’m leaving right now!” you screamed at them, running out the building towards the car. You can hear r/n shout at you to come back, but you ignore her and keep on running. Something about that place felt off, like something or someone was watching you. You shake in terror as you wait for them in the car.

Sam, Colby and r/n open the doors to the car placing the camera down, but obviously still recording they ask you why you left like that. You replied with a shrug and look out the window. The car ride back home was quiet. It was dead silence, and uncomfortable silence. Many thoughts run your mind like “why didn’t colby even comfort me” or “why isn’t he even paying attention to me”. You shake off the thoughts while you grab your stuff and head towards the door of the house. Unlocking the front door, you were greeted by your dog (D/N) you pet it and leave to your shared room with colby.

You walk in and see sam and colby already there. You roll your eyes and grab some clothes to shower. Stopping midway, you ask sam something.

“hey sam.. are you going to post that video?..” you questioned, furrowed your eyebrows.

“yea, what about it?” he replied “well… its nothing.” you answered back, ending the conversation.

2 HOURS LATER

“hey.. are you okay? i realized you didn’t sit with me to eat.” colby asked with concern lingering in his words.

“im fine. you dont need to ask, just be with r/n since you cared about her more and also im sleeping in the guest room.” you walked out with a pillow and blanket. Laying down and staring at the ceiling of room, you think to yourself. “i know colby isn’t gonna care for her since they barely know eachother.., but it hurts to not see him comfort you.” you start dazing off with those lingering thoughts.

NEXT DAY

You scroll through the comments of the video, laughing once in a while because of silly comments. You start noticing comments about colby and you. You frown and read the comments.

“did they break up? they look distant.”

The list of comments goes on and on. Tears trickled down your cheeks as you scroll and scroll through the comment section, tears blurring your vision. You got so fast the stool fell down and made a loud clanking noise that startled sam. Your footsteps banging against the hard wood floor, you slam the bedroom door and sob into your pillow.

Thinking about last night, you realized colby was distant. He was cold towards you the whole night. Sam walks into your room and just hugs you. He knows why you’re acting and feeling like this. He saw the comments.

also the exact same day, you and mike were sleeping when cheese climbed onto your bed, you woke up to drink some water ,then you felt pressure on your chest you looked over and thats when you noticed cheese sleeping, curled up in a ball near your neck.

you whisper-shouted "mike! help!"

a/n; never wrote for isekai'd reader but im down to try. this is probably gonna be unintentionally angsty bc idk abt u but no matter what world im waking up in, im gonna lose my shit too.

you played quite a bit of hsr

you had your fair share of liking a bunch of characters, gambling on them just for that 0.001% chance of feeling joy that you finally got that character

and you liked the story and all

but you didn't want anything more than that

so imagine the absolute panic of waking up like you were trailblazer.

"march step back, give them time. they just woke up."

you literally go through the 5 stages or grief as you slowly realize, oh shit, im not home anymore

and then it sinks in again

and then you start crying.

you're stuck in denial as you cry your eyes out

you're stuck in a fantasy space world where you are just as powerless as a citizen npc and you know there's a bunch of enemies in game that look really painful to deal with

you dont even realize that you've been taken to a room to wallow in peace.

you calm down after a while, sitting down in embarrassment bc oh fuck you just cried in front of some of your favorite character but to be fair you might be stuck in this world which does almost send into another panic

but welt comes in at the right time

"i'm sorry we didn't wake you when we found you, but we wanted to make sure that you weren't injured. do you remember anything of what happened?" he speaks calmly, making you feel calm in return

"i only remember my name.." you're really lucky to know that you speak the common language in this universe, or maybe they just know it. "i don't know what happened and..." your body shakes, feeling overwhelmed. "i don't know... 'm sorry."

he shakes his head. "you did nothing wrong. we didn't think or account for this. it's okay. it's okay to be scared. we're here to help you."

and it kind of breaks your heart bc you don't think there's a way to get back to your real home.

"would you like to know how we found you?" he hands you some water to drink.

you nod weakly, drinking the water.

and he explains how they found you in a different planet and stuck in a forest. "so you don't remember anything else?"

you hesitate. "i don't..i-" you close your mouth. "i don't think you'd believe me."

"it's okay if you don't want to tell me. but are you sure you don't know where your home is?" at the mention of home, you feel your eyes water.

"my home isn't where you think it is." you whisper weakly.

you don't elaborate and he doesn't expect you to elaborate.

"thank you for telling what you wanted to tell. i'm sure you're still scared and worried. and that's okay. but this does mean, you don't have a home.."

and he ends up taking you in.

you stick with him for a long while. it takes you a long time to get used to everything.

eventually you do get somewhat accustomed to it all.

with welt by your side you feel a bit more safe and less scared.

but on those nights where you remember that your normal is not the normal of this world, you find yourself looking for welt.

it's just silent comfort, just having his presence around you makes you feel better as you lay down by him as if you were a younger kid.

you just let him read his books as you wait for your body to make you sleep.

"thank you welt." you can't help but mutter.

and his reply is just a gentle pat on your head, a sign of him always listening to you and caring for you.

Turns out that Baizhu lives just out of town of Liyue, (not found in the game, was is it with not showing characters houses...) that way he has some greenery around his house, and has a garden out back :D 🌱

Baizhu just gets this strange familiar feeling from you (it almost reminds him of,, seeing a regular customer that has been to see him hundreds of times...) that convinces him to offer you a job at the pharmacy, in exchange for living in the guest room for awhile ! ! WOO

MISSION 1:

FIND SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP + GET A JOB, COMPLETED

In the morning, she goes herb picking, then makes medicine, and then does stretches at the end of the day before bed

ON LIKE,, THE FIRST FEW DAYS WITH HER, SHE STARTS TO FOLLOW U AROUND MORE AND MORE LIKE A LITTLE DUCKLING

U mostly think that bc she walked and talked a little faster,

her emotions arent super obvious bc apparently her facial muscles arent super flexible... :/

(she later on after she trusts you more, will sometimes let u rub her little cheeks and massage her face to let her have more range, she looks like a content kitten those times 😭😭)

But when ur not out and about Liyue's nature with Qiqi,

U do little odd jobs around Liyue, like dog walking, delivering peoples' medicine, and u even registered w/the Adventurer's Guild so u could take on small commissions :D

U used ur money to buy ingredients to cook food for urself and the household (bc Baizhu cant make anything besides soup and tea apparantly srsly how is this man alive)

And thru a series of trial and error (and consulting Xiangling..)

U made coconut milk!!! ✨️🥥🥛

Qiqi loved. It. Every. Time.

She's not tall enough to reach the kitchen counters w/o a stool, but she can peek her little head over it and put her fingers on the edge, which she does everytime u make it 😫😫🥺🥺

She has a 6th sense for everytime u make it, no matter where she is in the house/nearby lol

It was also one of the things she wrote down in her notebook that she didnt wanna forget LMAO

Next to a reminder that she knows you + other facts abt u, is "can make coconut milk"

Shes already Baizhu's assistant, so she is great at cutting, chopping, and prepping ingredients

She insists on helping u everytime, she'll even delay her morning routine for u to make breakfast <3

(the ones being sold were too expensive, and werent quite right for her anyway, but u did stab urself enough times that Baizhu gave u bandages..)

You give it to her on her birthday!! (she also remembered yours!! She gave u herbal medicine and a necklace of gemstones she handmade like noctilous jade and cor lapis cries)

It has lots of pockets, bc Qiqi also likes to get interesting rocks or non-medicinal flowers to give you while yall are outside <3
