pardon my late message i've been letting letting the current damnation chapters sink in the past couple of days after finally taking the quiz (im am still waiting with baited breath but like in a chill way for the rest) but HOLY. MOLY.
i did indeed notice that the MC's have different morality stances, and they match their crimes (granted im still trying to figure out which one did what. cuz rn i got stuck on iago coming fraud or tax evasion, even though theyre super down with murder, but like raven is WAY more down to murder somebody. im just nit paying enough attention to figure it out, really. im having too much fun vibin)
2 THE WAY THE CHARACTERS MAY NOT START OUT ENTIRELY YANDERE FOR THE MC AND INSTEAD DEVELOP THE OBSESSION FOR THEM LATER ON 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌😭😭😭😭😭 BRILLIANTBRILLIANTBRILLIANT. ok so i got heartslabyul on my first attempt so it wasnt as like "obvious" even though trey and cater are both instantly "shocked" i was like "that could just be bc our character is weird it doesnt necessarily mean they yandere switch has been flipped pshaw! 🤭" BUT THEN eventually i got to pomfiore and epel confirmed it when he was like "ive been imagining things i never did before!" and i was like "oh snap! WAIT is *THIS* part of the punishment? like not JUST being sent to another world that is based on a story, but specifically a YANDERE DEATH TRAP? 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯"
cuz like, sure, the MC is doing what they can to survive but depending on which one theyre fine to just vibe and let the story take its course if theyve got a good chance to survive not doing anything special. but then the story always gets WEIRD, RIGHT?! stuff always goes wrong! was that part of the vision? or am i going conspiracy crazy?
anyway AMAZING WORK. also you really fed the vil simps on that one story. i thought i was over him and content to be like rook and admire from afar but that SCENE with his hands wrapped around the retainer 🥵 i darn near short-circuited. HOW DARE YOU! (please continue 😉)
its hard to choose a favorite story in this series and i dont want to speak too soon before theyre all out. but i do have favorite bits in each of them.
and i just love the endings to them all. i love the bittersweet nature of all the endings. like none, of them are really romantic in a comforting way (duh its a yandere story) but they do vary in romance level. like by far i think riddle's azul's and vil's are the most romantic while leona and jamil are quite cold and calculating or in jamil's case mostly possessive and manipulative on the surface. it's VERY interesting.
and also bc im silly and you brought up the yandere-ness of the other characters, i start to wonder what happens next in these stories (im not asking for sequels. oh heavens no! never! unless you wanted to, but im mostly just brainstorming character relationships and potential conflicts). like in the savannaclaw story, ruggie and jack are also glued to the MC but not in a really romantic way? ruggie has that "i want to be your #2/by your side forever" which could go either way, but to me initially reads as "jack was pushing his way into MY spot and i want to guarantee he cant have it" rather than a "one day i'll deserve to be by your side romantically and for now i want to ensure i'll always have that opportunity by being next to you and a priority of yours" and then comes leona's proposal at the end, and i was thinking "uhhh but mc is by your side as consort, then ruggie gets pushed out of his spot in favor of the husband taking over. even though ruggie could still be an advisor and confidant, its still like 'move over dude theres another taking priority over you" and then that gets me wondering "what would happen if MC turned down leona? what kinda havoc would he wreak if any? does that put the village in jeopardy if he gets pissed off? what if they accept and they're STILL screwed bc he stops paying attention to the village after he gets the throne? and then the chieftain is taken into the palace and away from the village and has no way back and theyre left to basically flounder without them?"
also i really like how you end your stories with pseudo-cliffhangers? i mean they are but also the plot is mostly resolved and whatever major things that needed to happen happened. and its just the character resolutions and epilogues you dont see. its entertaining. like i said, i like to imagine what happens next and you really leave some stuff open for that.

Oh, for the crimes, just look at one of the questions which I believe asks what you (the quiz taker/MC) committed. Those are currently five of the seven crimes I've listed before, and each MC has committed at least ONE of them. But, they could've always committed more too.
On that other topic, of characters going yandere, one thing I hate is when reading a story and for some reason the characters are already obsessed with the MC but for absolutely no apparent reason. And me personally, I enjoy a bit of build up, which is why I try to implement some in my writing. Which can be a bit hard to do within forty pages when all these other things are happening, but I manage for the most part.

What an... Interesting assortment of characters for this event. Like Vil, Leona and Lilia in the same room? Dialoguing? Wild 😭. Kalim is just vibin tbh.
My first impressio was Farena possibly wanting Leona to come home and bring some "NRC friends" but I he would not invite Lilia or Vil willingly, so it has to be a school trip situation (I can hear the bickering and teasing from here). Also?? Idk if it's just me but Vil's outfit is my least favorite. I'm sorry to say but that shade of yellow is not his color. Everyone else is slaying tho.
My predictions (wishlist) for this event is:
We get to see how the people from Sunset Savanna see Leona and interact with him. At school he's more of a regular guy despite the prince status so hopefully we get to see how he's regarded at home, esp. by his servants.
Ruggie and Rook are in this event as well. We get to see the slums Ruggie came from, but I think that's unlikely.
FARENA. Farena's face reveal, Farena interacting with Leona, Farena interacting with Cheka, Farena embarrassing Leona in front of his classmates.
FARENA INTERACTS WITH MC. Farena tries to hug Grim cause he is cute and nearly crushes his bones 😊

It's a unique group to be sure! I wonder how the event's story will rationalize these particular individuals being picked to head to the Sunset Savanna? (It was interesting seeing how they did it for the other two hometown events for Silk City and Harveston~)
ahbdadbasilbda I DON’T THINK LEONA WOULD BE EAGER TO LISTEN TO HIS BROTHER 🤡 Dude probably just throws up the middle fingers and tells Farena to fuck off and stop treating him like a baby/j Maybe it’s an order from the queen??? Leona has already demonstrated before that he more easily caves to demands made of him by his brother’s wife (like her asking him to visit home on breaks and to send pictures of him in his ceremonial robes). He can’t exactly tell the queen “No, I’d rather NOT bring my asshole classmates home, thanks.” 😅 Or maybe it’s some very important national holiday or diplomatic situation Leona can’t ignore??? For as callous as he comes off sometime, he does genuinely care for his country and wish the best for it and its future.

This new event will be starting around the 7th of February, which is a lot sooner than I had expected it to drop. I’m positively vibrating with excitement!!!
I’m????? So curious about the Sunset Savanna and its people 😭 especially knowing that the palace servants were so gossipy about Leona as a child???? I wonder if they treat him any differently now that he’s an adult. Maybe they just avoid him if they can, because it sure would be ballsy of them to shit talk him to his face and risk getting evaporated or maybe even told off by his brother (because I don’t think Farena would just let others insult his family like that).
I hope Rook and Ruggie can join, but I think we’ll probably spend more time in the palace and that general area, if only because Ruggie’s hometown isn’t exactly... glamorous to explore, for lack of a better term. Seeing that, contrasted with the pomp of palace life and its ceremonies can be... jarring, to say the least, and I don’t know if TWST wants to go down that route for a feel-good hometown event. I’d love to meet Granny Bucchi and see where Ruggie comes from, but the fact of the matter is that I also worry about how settings of extreme poverty are portrayed 💦It’s not easy to tackle, that’s for sure (especially considering that Ruggie has mentioned things like starving children). (Note: the event synopsis is out now and indeed, it looks like we’ll be mainly situated in the capital (Dawn City) and the palace!)

Judging from how the other hometown events went, it’s not always the SSR boy that invites Yuu to join them! Kalim was the one that did it for Silk City (despite Jamil’s protests), while Epel did it for Harveston. It’ll probably be the character that is most friendly that extends the offer, or maybe some authority figure like Crowley or Leona’s family members that want Yuu to go along. I don’t think Leona would realistically be happy with Yuu (and Grim) coming, if his grumpiness in episode 5 is anything to go by (when Grim calls out to him in classroom 3-A). Alternatively, Leona could invite Yuu but have a practical reason for their presence rather than being friendly with them.

Chloe is vibin in a dissociative episode at the Spread Eagle. She planned ahead- Nick had Djinn for the night. It was Kim's "mom's night off" and Nick felt safer with a K9 outside anyways. Didn't have to stress over the peggies blindsiding him as much with the baby and Chloe could get plastered. Win/win. She never liked drinking with her partner- frankly she doesn't like drinking at all, she doesn't even know if she was celebrating or grieving. It's all a bit of the same thing. Whatever it was, it called for liquor.

I got a request for Twisted Wonderland! What if there was a snow sculpture contest between all the dorms? Which of the heads are gonna be more competitive or creative? (Or straight up wreck the other snow sculptures)
Competitive - Heartslabyul, Octavinelle (can be placed in the third category)
Creative - Pomefiore, Ignihyde, Scarabia (also can be put in the third category)
What are we meant to be doing exactly? - Savanaclaw, Diasomnia
Heartslabyul actually manages to put together a cool looking snow sculpture, despite how often it have to be defended from Floyd who was going around throwing snowballs at people at random because he thought it was funny watching everyone scramble out of the way. Riddle has everyone involved and doing a certain job, although on occasion he has to yell at Ace and Deuce who are drawing bad caricatures of each other in the snow.
Savanaclaw is on its own, because Leona could not careless about this competition and in fact disappeared about ten minutes in because he was too cold and wanted to go take a nap somewhere warm, and a lot of other Savanaclaw students followed suit disappearing instead of participating. Ruggie decides to stay and ends up in charge despite having no idea what he’s doing, Savanaclaw’s sculpture ends up looking like a hot mess so they just decide to try and destroy everyone elses.
Azul isn’t entirely how to make a snow sculpture, but he refuses to allow Octavinelle lose and as a result ends up taking this very seriously. He sends Jade to observes what the other dorms are doing and lets Floyd do whatever he pleases, which is just cause chaos for everyone else while ordering around students in the dorm to create a snow sculpture.
Scarabia is confused because Kalim is being extra and doesn’t want to build just one snow sculpture but multiple, Jamil, who already predicted the headache that was about to occur the moment this competition was mentioned starts separating the dorm into small units to build the sculptures. Jamil despite all of his sighing at Kalim’s ideas does want to win, so he keeps guard to scare of anybody trying to spy on the dorm or destroy their hard work.
Pomefiore is going for a more creative route, as Vil doesn’t actually care about winning but he refuses to have any creation from his dorm looking sloppy, so everyone is working meticulously on their snow sculpture. Despite not caring about winning it doesn’t stop him from listening in intently to Rook, who has been monitoring what all the other dorms are trying to create.
Ignihyde are all just vibin’ like sure Idia and half of his dorm don’t really want to be outside but if they have to make a snow sculpture they can at least make it look epic right? No one knows how they did it, but their sculpture ends up glowing and spitting fire without the snow melting, Idia and Ortho were also going to see if they could make it move but were told absolutely not to due to the possible chaos it could create.
Does Diasomnia actually understand what snow sculptures are or the purpose of making them? No not at all. But Malleus said that they should make Gargoyle out of snow, so now that whole dorm is doing their absolute best to make their dorm head what he wants. Lilia thinks it’s incredibly amusing watching Sebek desperately try and order everyone around despite everyone having absolutely zero coordination when it comes to making snow sculptures, but in the end just decides to make one out of magic after their first attempt was demolished by Savanaclaw.

The sun rises somewhere behind the clouds on a rainy second day of fighting!
Uh oh! Meilan betrays her fellow District mate as Buzz refuses to kill! (That’s my girl...)
Meanwhile, even more explosives fill the arena and there are still NONE going off. Mica and Ferret are also getting armed, which is a little off-putting, and Jasper Perle makes the least exciting discovery possible given the arena I’ve so carefully narrated.
And now, a moment to honor the fallen--a whopping eight since yesterday evening!
And then back to your regularly scheduled violence.
Meilan continues her kill streak, and Ad Lib...let’s see, I need a verb...flops despite all her caution earlier today. Kito Faraji, armed with dynamite, takes the more sophisticated approach to murder while Jack makes good use of an Ol’ Number 7 on poor Amara. Ferret O’Connor must have practiced a little too hard with that hatchet or something.
Jasper, Neuron, and Carsen count themselves among the lucky tonight, with Oliver and Avanda among the exhausted and Chrissy and Bastian among the miserable. Mica and Chess are just vibin’.

Okay, okay. I’m out here. Still vibin. But like. Angry. I’m v i b r a t i n g.
My personal opinions: I actually like Heigh-Ho! I think it’s super cute and it’s stuck in my head! I love Neige and the Dwarves! Very much! They’re adorable!
But: This does not invalidate anyone else’s opinions and feelings! Hell, I even agree that Vil should’ve won! He worked extremely hard, he deserved to win. But the staff decided that no, he couldn’t win. Neige had to win. We can’t change that, and that’s fine even if it is a little ridiculous.
I’m just. Really upset. Okay? I’m angry. I’m angry that a portion of the fandom is so upset that they would go a threaten Yana and Rook’s VA, when they’re only a small part of the staff. They’re doing what they’re told. I’m just. So upset. It breaks my heart that a fandom I love so, so much can do something like this!! But I’m also sad to say I’m not surprised. I’ve been in the MHA Fandom before and I left and lost my love for MHA because of fans like these. I refuse to let this ruin TWST for myself and others. I’m sorry. I just. Can’t do this again.
Now that I’ve gotten this off my chest, I’m done with this ridiculousness. I will HAPPILY go back to playing TWST and enjoying the story, and I will not look back at this. I will move forward. And so should all of you.
