"Eddie Munson! I didn't think you'd show up!" Tommy H exclaimed, looking shocked as he came over to shake Eddie's hand like they were old friends instead of old enemies.

"How could I miss the twenty year reunion?" He asked.

"You didn't seem to have any trouble missing the ten year reunion," Tommy pointed out.

"Yeah, well, ten years isn't enough time for people to lose their egos. Last time I set foot in Hawkins, people were still hunting me for sport."

"Uh. Yeah. Listen, man, I'm actually really glad you're here. I want to apologize for the way we treated you back then. Not just with Chrissy's death, but in general. We were just dumbass kids."

"Yeah, appreciate that," Eddie recited for the seventh time this night. Whatever. Eddie's life was amazing and all these fuckers looked rough as hell and pretty pathetic, so let them have their little breakthrough moment or whatever this was for them. Eddie didn't lose anything by letting these folks think they had become better people. Maybe they had, who knows, Eddie couldn't care less.

"No, really, I feel so- holy shit, is that Steve Harrington?"

"Oh, yeah, he's with me."

"He's with you? Like, as in…"

"Hmm? Oh, no, we aren't actually gay, we just got stuck playing a really long game of gay chicken. I thought he'd give up by now, it's been twenty years."

"Ha ha, that's a good one. I can't believe Steve Harrington is gay."

"Like I said, he's not. We are both just really competitive. We have three kids and two cats and a really nice house together, he's a great roommate but I know he'll crack first."

Tommy's smile wavered.

"If you don't believe me, you can ask him yourself."

"No, I, uh…"

"Anyways," Eddie said, patting him on the shoulder and taking his leave, "I'd love to stay and chat about how great my life is so you don't feel so bad about your past self, but I see other knuckleheads waiting to apologize to me and I'd rather get it over with quickly so I can go fuck my roommate in the school bathroom in the hopes that he finally admits I win."

Tommy stood staring after Eddie, completely baffled. Then he hurried over to his former friends along the wall.

"Babe, why is everyone looking at us weird?"

Eddie glanced around as if he hadn't noticed everyone watching them and shrugged.

"Standard homophobia, probably."

Steve sighed.

"No, I know what homophobia looks like. You did something. What did you do?"

"Hmm? Oh, uh, I might have… told them we were playing gay chicken."

Steve groaned. "Eddie, you didn't! Ugh, this is the elementary school all over again! You know I still have to see those teachers every day at pick up, right? No matter how much I explain you were joking I can tell they don't completely believe me and it's been three years!"

"Yeah, but you don't ever have to see any of these folks again after tonight," Eddie pointed out, face full of mischievous glee.

Steve sighed and rolled his eyes. Any attempt at true anger was pointless in the face of Eddie's playful charm.

"Fine. Let's go grab each other's butts while we slow dance to confuse them more, I guess."

"That's the spirit!"

I DROP MALLEUS LORE SPOILERS IN MALLEUS' OPEN PROMPT!!! (NOTHING BIG, BUT ITS MALLEUS LORE)

Deuce

L - Little Ones (how are they around children?): Oh, Deuce LOVES kids. He just thinks they're so cute and sweet and -- ugh, he wishes he had siblings to spoil. Equally, though, he's very nervous around them when he first meets a kid. I mean, they're so little? How are the so tiny and helpless? He just wants to smother them with affection, but he can't cause they might die if he does that.

O - Open (when would they start revealing things about themselves?): Deuce is a pretty open book from the start. He doesn't really have a reason to hide, and if you're his partner, why would he want to hide anything? So, you probably know most things about him before you even start dating, and then he tells you the more embarrassing things later down the line as you get more serious about each other.

Q - Quizzes (how much would they remember about you?): Listen, he's not good with the little things like favorite colors or what your favorite song is. But if you tell him what your favorite flower is, your favorite restaurant? He never forgets it. It goes in the long-term Deuce memory bank, forever categorized as incredibly important, but he has no idea why until he needs the information.

X - Xtra: Deuce is, surprisingly, very good with hair. He used to have to help his mom style hers, so he knows a ton of really cool tricks for styling it. Female, male, non-binary -- doesn't matter, he knows how to style your hair and it's going to feel like a GODSEND to your scalp.

Lilia

L - Little Ones: Lilia's favorite hobby is being a father of three, so it's safe to assume he loves kids. Just everything about them is so darn cute -- their stubby little arms and disproportionate bodies. Oh! He can't get enough. If he could raise a hundred more kids, he absolutely would love to!

O - Open: Lilia, unlike Deuce, is not open at all! He puts on this bright and cheery face so he can hide from his dark and fucked up past. You are the light of his life, his guiding start in the night sky -- he doesn't want you to know how much of a monster he is. It's not until you are WELL SETTLED in your relationship that he tells you about his painful past, the things he's done, and how badly he wishes he could take it all back.

Q - Quizzes: Oh, Lilia knows everything. His memory just seems endless, and no matter if you told him something today or years ago, he would remember it clear as day. Every little detail from the very basics to the intricate ways you go about doing different things, he knows and adores all of them.

X - Xtra: Lilia is very good at gambling -- just hear me out. He's incredibly observant and reads people better than they do themselves. Not only that, he's smart. He can sit down at any gambling game, any kind, even if he's a beginner, and walk away with as much money as he wants. He is a casinos worst nightmare.

Malleus

L - Little Ones: Children make Malleus... nervous. They're very little, and they seem very unaware of things around them, yet they have the confidence and demand of a well-established ruler. It's discomforting. Still, he did help raise (technically) two younger boys, so he does harbor some affection for children, he just has to get used to them for him to really enjoy them.

O - Open: It's not to say that Malleus is NOT open, it's just that he doesn't think to share things about himself. So he seems closed off, but really he's just thinking about gargoyles. He does this... thing, though, where he just... lore drops on you. Out of nowhere, he just "My mother died before I was born, and the love that Lilia gave me was enough to cause me to hatch, therefore, he is the closest thing to a father figure I will ever have." Kay... cool Malleus.

Q - Quizzes: He is so bad at keeping track of time, he will not remember 90% of the things about you. He will, however, remember the most random things. Like he doesn't remember what year you were born, but he knows your favorite character and all their lore. It's because he only cares about the things you care about a lot. If you talk about something frequently, he's going to go out of his way to learn more about it because it matters to you <3

X - Xtra: Malleus has an EXTENSIVE collection of Magic The Gathering Cards (or the test equivalent). He doesn't play the game, he has no idea how it works, but he really likes the collecting part of the whole thing. The art on the cards is pretty, and that was enough to fuel a whole collection.

Johnny: Sorry I couldn’t take you to a nice restaurant or anything.

Lexie: That’s ok, you know I don’t care about that kind of stuff. Besides, you know how busy restaurants get on Love Day. This is way more romantic.

Johnny: I’m glad you like it. I remember you said something about liking picnics a while back, so I thought this would be a nice surprise.

Lexie: It is! How do you even remember stuff like that?

Johnny: I don’t know, I just really…like you so I want to do things that make you happy.

Lexie: Well, it’s really sweet. I appreciate everything you do for me. I just always feel bad that I don’t do stuff like this for you in return.

Johnny: Hey, you do a lot for me, too. It means a lot that I can talk to you about stuff and you always know the right thing to say. Having your support is all I could ever ask for.

Lexie: I’m glad you feel like you can talk to me. I’m always here for you, no matter what. [pauses] I hope I didn’t make you feel weird or anything when we were talking to Cece and Ben the other day.

Johnny: Oh, about our future and stuff? No, you didn’t.

Lexie: Good, because I was thinking about it later, and I didn't mean for it to come across like I was saying I don’t see a future with you.

Johnny: No, I get it. We’re still teenagers. I don’t expect you to have your whole life figured out. I know I sure don’t.

Lexie: I know. I’ve just been thinking about what Cece said. I mean, do you want to get married and have kids one day? Is it going to cause big problems if I don’t? What if–

Johnny: Whoa, slow down! Look, I don’t know what I want. It’s always been hard for me to even think about the future. I just didn’t see anything good happening for me. Can I be completely honest?

Lexie: Of course.

Johnny: Since I met you, I have been thinking about my future more. I don’t know if I want to get married or have kids. I’ve thought about it sometimes, and it sounds nice. For way, way, in the future, I mean. But least now I feel like it’s possible if I want it.

Maybe it will be with you, maybe not. Maybe I’ll decide to take my life in a different direction. But for the first time, I feel like my life isn’t just this thing that’s happening to me. I finally have some control over things. I don’t know if that makes sense.

Lexie: Yeah, I totally get you. I think it’s amazing that you’re hopeful for your future…but Johnny, I didn’t do that for you. That’s all you, my guy! You’re taking care of your mental health, and your outlook is improving.

Johnny: You sound like my therapist.

Lexie: [laughs] She’s a wise lady. I know we’ve talked a lot about your struggles, but I don’t have this whole life thing figured out, either. Sometimes I feel a little lost, like who am I, really? Like, I’ve been playing video games since I was a kid, is that the only reason why I play them now? Maybe I have some secret hidden talent that I don’t even know about, but I'm just going along with what my friends like. Sorry, I know that seems silly in comparison.

Johnny: It’s not silly! We both have plenty of time to figure all this out. And at least we get to have fun together while we do. We shouldn’t be stressing about our futures right now.

Lexie: Ugh, now you sound like Ben.

Johnny: What’s wrong with that?

Lexie: Nothing, really. He just bugs me. Don’t you ever meet someone who irritates you for no reason?

Johnny: I guess so. Just don’t get into any fights with him on our trip. Oh, I know what it is! [Johnny leans over and tickles Lexie]

Lexie: [giggling] Do you, now?

Johnny: Yeah, you’re comparing him to me and he just can’t measure up to my perfection.

Lexie: Yeah, that’s totally it! You’ve ruined all other men for me because you're the ideal.

Johnny: I’m glad you agree!

HAVING THE TIME OF MY LIFE....! Ah I can't believe it is ALL Tsukasa x Nene ! I always anticipate that we'll spend time elsewhere on the other guys... ahhh so many pages ♥♥♥ wonderful....!!

something so pleasant about the attentive, patient, listening Tsu... how he goes about his business navigating a boundary....

in Japanese, the word Tsukasa uses for Nene-chan here ["fussy"] is the same Amane uses to describe what Tsukasa will be like if he's interrupted at Katanuki.... ♥ Amane seems to feel very differently about 'fits' than Tsukasa does ... wwwwww.... hm, it's actually bad that Amane feels like... ♥ tantrum ... you're the one I worry about

it's too funny Tsukasa just does what Nene-chan says when she no wanna be upside-down....

I'm so sorry about your future boyfriends Nene-chan. Kidnapper and Abusive Boyfriend. they are both stupid and you hate them, I know I know....

but a pause to say, it's so funny how pairings can be as kids, ahahaha... Hakubo was, so annoyed by Sumire, such a brat child she was, so inconvenient.. apparently young Akane could be possessed to yell I HATE YOU! at Aoi....! Amane got so mad and shoved Tsukasa, and he used to call him dummy when he was frustrated too.... even Kou acts childishly and insults Mitsuba when annoyed (and isn't Mitsu such a brat haha ...) even in My Dear Living Dead and Narisokonai Snow White, we really have some "ugh!!!!" between the pairings, ahaha.

ah its funny to see Tsukasa say urusai wwwwww

GET HIM!!!! Nene-chan ♥ so bold so brave haha, Mitsuba wouldn't DREAM of doing this, haahahaha!!! you know the way people imagine Tsukasa VS Nene-chan, they'd imagine he'd rip her face off like a chimpanzee for this, I'm glad for some people to be proven wrong... lol...

meanwhile... wwwwww.... Tsukasa-chan, you complain about all of this fuss and tantrum and violence and such but... wwww.....

the atmosphere is so different wwwww all Yugi are so frustrating and make you cry, huh, Nene-chan? They wanna do things you don't and you're along for the ride, hehehehe....

Fascinated in the small gap in memory... maybe things that aren't so important to you, are easily forgotten in all that time, in a mundane way. What did mom do...? I don't remember... ah. I really like to see Tsukasa talking to his joudai so much; we don't see it as often as we do with Hanako... they seem to be saying something like, "well, children are different..." and "what did your mom do?" ... I like that they seem to not want fickle Tsukasa to lose interest or gumption hehehehaha they wanna solve this!!! nooo we can't just give up, we gotta-- do the things--- ngnngn!!!

such wonderful and magical things Tsukasa can doooo uwwaaahhh! Sometimes I get why Amane's name has the 'normal' kanji... with Amane he'll take you to a beach to do normal summertime things like whacka watermelon, go to festival stalls supernatural and non... I feel like only Tsukasa would wrangle a giant owl and steer you all around to delight you....

so sweet you're just trying to entertain her... make her happy... a natural talent

I can't believe Tsukasa can play this kind of coy and baiting little game....! whaaaaat? You're suddenly as adept as a children's show host... and it wasn't even your plan to send her to sleep! So what for? Just to invite her to sing? It's too cute....

ahhh.. I hope for a volume promo we get this in color. It's too sublime.... the steam off the hot gears as the boundary's water runs over them... knowing these gears are a golden color... and can you even imagine, in the anime? Both Tsukasa and Nene-chan's VAs can sing!!!! The sound is plausible....;;; it's too lovely... I can't believe such a beautiful scene can happen so 'soon' in their dynamic. I thought I'd wait so long for this, even though in my heart I knew it would happen at some point. It's amazing ... in some way, TsuNene lacks resistance.... it's their open and free natures ... impulses ... it can just 'happen'....

too serene... I wonder what it's like to not understand Tsukasa's hidden grace, the gentility? This scene is so gracious of him.... invite you to sing with me.... there are expressions only Tsukasa makes, and, suddenly the twins feel worlds apart. They feel impossibly different.... poor Amane, he doesn't often reach serenity...

I wonder what you feel, Nene-chan...? Comfort... warmth? Safety, even for a second? A sense of security... enough to fall asleep. So glad she turns to watch him sing...

Looking at it. Why is it like some sort of date ... TsuNene is impressive. You took a girl on an amusement park ride .... you serenaded her ... Amane, look out....

two things... 1. it's crazy you can just catch Mirai like this when Amane could NOT at ALL, even with how desperately he wanted to prevent her from touching Nene-chan in the Clockkeepers arc. and 2. you suddenly have this violent agility to stop this inhuman speeding mouse, but you simply let Nene-chan evade your sleep fingers just earlier? Tsukasa really is avoiding using violence with Nene-chan....

ah, you remind me of someone!

the Yugi can be so different and then so alike. It's a pain, isn't it? tedious things... the mysteries. And here Mirai is, droning on about justice and crime and rules.... all of the things we don't need. If we want to change the future, we'll have to break all of those. The Yugi look at other mysteries as chores in these circumstances. You'd just like to do as you please without annoying interruptions. Of course, it has to happen... sigh.

Interesting to hear Mirai refer to their 'Court of Law'. I suppose that 'space' we see is some sort of body of their boundary, and some aspect of their themeing. These gavels ... how annoying. This truly is a force opposite to the destructive and villainous Yugi who are trying to bend fate to their desires. Strictures... ! Governing ... bleh.

Tw: physical and sexual abuse, toxic relationship, selfharm, eating disorder

Summary: You are in a toxic relationship with an abusive man but manage to run away. A tall, black haired woman picks you up from the streets just in time so your ex doesn't get you. But who is she and why does she seem so familiar to you? As you get to know each other you start to notice weird feelings you never had before whenever she's around.

You wake up to an empty bed next to you. Hm, maybe she's already in the kitchen making breakfast, not that it would be anything new. You think.

But as you walk into the kitchen it's also empty. You search the whole apartment for your girlfriend but she's nowhere to be seen.

Strange, she usually doesn't leave without letting me know. Even if I'm asleep.

You decide to call her but she doesn't respond. You try Dominik's number but again, just the mailbox.

Ugh I hate you guys. You make your way back into the kitchen and prepare a bowl of cereal to eat on the couch.

After you're done, you decide to try Damian's number.

"Hello?"

"Hi, this is y/n who am I speaking to?"

"Oh sorry, here's Finn, Damian's not there right now"

"Why d'you have his phone?"

"Funny story, but after we dropped you two off yesterday we decided to stay at my place"

"Hmm okay, is Dom nearby?"

"Nope, also out"

You sigh, "can you come pick me up then? I don't know where everyone is and it kinda makes me a little uncomfortable"

"Sure, give me fifteen minutes" Finn responds and hangs up.

Great, the only one to pick up was Finn. It's better than no one but you two never talked really much so you barely knew him.

You take a quick shower and are about to do your hair when the doorbell rings. You quickly finish your look and open the door for Finn.

"Hey, glad you're here" you say with a relieved smile. "Sure, no problem. Do you want to stay here or come to my place? We could play some video games there to pass time" he shrugs.

"Ye let's do that" you say, put on some shoes and follow him to the car. You get in on the passengers side and it's actually just a ten minute drive.

You arrive at his flat, it's bigger than Rhea's, with a beautiful front garden. You follow him to the door which he holds open for you to step in.

"Get comfy" Finn says and points to, what you suppose is, the living room. "Do you want anything to drink?" "No thanks, I'm good" you reply and shyly smile at him.

"Ok then" he shrugs and leads you over to the couch with a huge flat screen and a playstation in front. "Have you ever played WWE 2k23?" he asks.

"Nope, never heard of it" you shake your head and sit down. "Alright, then you're gonna learn it now" he says and hands you a controller.

You play for a while until you decide to ask him again about Rhea and the others. "Do you really not know where they went? Rhea told me yesterday she would have a surprise for me in the evening"

Finn chuckles "Actually I do know but I'm not allowed to tell you" you huff "How mean" and act like you're offended.

He just laughs and you punch his arm "Hey" he laughs even more. "Ugh you're such an idiot, you know that?" "I'm the only one who can keep promises that why I needed to stay here with you" he shrugs.

"oh boy, okay.. Can I use the restroom real quick? " you randomly throw in. You needed some alone time now. "sure, down the hallway, second door on the right. But you aren't mad at me now, are you?" Finn asks a little concerned.

"no, no its fine I just.. Nevermind" you quickly respond and walk away. You lock the bathroom door behind you and sink to the ground with your back against the door.

You call Rhea again and to your surprise she actually answers this time.

"hey sweetie, what's up? Sorry for just leaving you without saying goodbye"

You can tell by her voice that she really is sorry.

"hey, I don't know, can't quite interpret my feelings right now"

"oh honey I'm so sorry, I really should have told you. How is it with Finn? Everything alright?"

"ye it's okay.. I miss you.."

"i miss you too but I promise my surprise is worth the wait"

Although you can't see her you're sure she smirked while saying that.

"when will you come back?"

"at around seven, but I gotta hang up now, still some things left to do"

"okay, love you, bye"

"byee, love you more"

You lean your head back against the door and smile at her words.

"you okay in there?" you hear Finn knock and ask. "ye I'm fine, be right back" you reply and get up to actually use the toilet before returning.

IT WAS TODD, I KNEW IT!!

and Sean and White got together and Yok and Dan got together and we have two sad ex-girlfriends(ish) and Gram looking on in longing and BLACK WOKE UP and they're all being followed cause Todd knows way more about them now and and and

Also I did not do a between 8 and 9 update but I totally guessed Dan was the officer who shot Seans dad.

GMMTV does such good foreshadowing and pay off I feel so satisfied and excited by every reveal.

We have two heartbroken girls that I really hope we spend more time on cause they have been amazing characters so far. Namo took finding out about Sean and White so well and then she was so sad ugh.

and then Eugene also struggling with her dance routine because she's confused/heartbroken about Black

I'm so curious how that Black/Eugene/Gram triangle may play out now that Black's awake, I mean he still broke up with Eugene because he wanted her safe, and now he's nearly died I doubt that will change...

I have more thoughts on Black but lets back track to Plot again for a minute

Sean and Tawi face off in the bathroom happened

[Tawi telling Sean: Your dad sold drugs and I had nothing to do with him]

Oh and Todd was trying to get back on track with figuring out what the gang is up too in episode 8

[Todd sitting on Black's bed saying: I brought a lot. Aren't you gonna eat first?]

Plus at the end of Ep 9 everyone was being followed...Oh and Sean is now spying on Tawi? Although not a whole lot of actual spying seemed to be happening...

Now I know that Tawi is also big coorporation here but I now have no idea how much of all this is just Todd or is Todd working for/with Tawi? That seems like the most likely scenario but I don't know for sure.

How much was Tawi actually involved in the drug trafficking that Seans father was involved in?

And when/how will Sean find out that officer Dan is the one who shot him? I can already picture the explosion.

And as much as I want (so very desperately) to watch the next episodes. I am also kind of grateful that I have to stop. Because this is SUCH A GOOD POINT to sit and imagine at.

How will Black and White be revealed to their friends? To Sean? To Euguene to everyone. What about Black and Whites parents? Are they going to come back into the story?

(OMG Black's mum, who White is 100% going to meet in his place next ep, will he meet her as White? Or pretend to be Black??)

Also Black's gotta feel betrayed about Todd too. Oh and Paprika's point about Black and White being thought and action, will we get to see them come together now, despite how much Black want's White to stay out of it? Is White going to meet the friends AS WHITE?? (I am dying to have Sean see him all put together with his glasses on). The emotional pay off that I can feel coming is so good, are they going to be shocked and betrayed? are they going to finally understand? I honestly have no idea and I want to know SO MUCH.

But I also just want to sit in this anticipation a little bit longer and let my imagination run wild. Looking forward to it all coming together

A Post About My Favorite Fashion Dreamer NPCs! (so far!)

So, been playing this game daily since launch, and I've unlocked a share of the NPCs (I've heard there are 200 of them?? that's so much more than I thought there would be if true!) and some of them I love too much, so here's an extensive post about my favorites!

It's under a read more because I have no self control and fall in love with one every three seconds lol Also the NPCs are in no particular order, I'm just placing them in the order they are on my screenshots folder heh Also possible spoilers since you might have not seen some of these NPCs in your game!!

MY DEAR MY LOVE MY EVERYTHING. I love Bucky with all my heart and soul (even if he sometimes frustrates me with his color pickyness like do you enjoy green or not???? answer me!!!). He also bares a striking resemblance to a certain emerald haired bug loving boy I'm very particular about, so me getting attached to him was a no brainer lol

Really like Clarissa so much! I love her lines about wanting to be grown up, and how she seems "frustrated" that folks her age and even adults don't act mature like her hah! Also love it when i make lookits for her that are just a little cuter and she goes "Are you teasing me??? But, hm, this is cute." Like yes, you're adorable, pls! But I also like giving her the mature looks she wants because she seems so happy when I do <3

Eleanor, beloved <3 She's so cute and it's so frustrating because she barely shows up when I'm playing! I've seen her very early when I started playing, but she shows up like once very ten times I boot the game </3 Eleanor, please, come visit me, I miss you so much </3 Also the motivational stuff she says to you, like "You went outside for grogeries! Awesome!" like, she could fix me.

Farah sometimes shows up a lot and sometimes goes MIA. No in between. But I think her design and vibes are very good and I want to know more! Please show up more often so I can unveil your secrets (and take photos with you!)

Why do I like Franco? Is it because his forgetful dialogue makes me laugh? Is it the cool pink hair? Is it his cute face? Is it because he was probably the second NPC I interacted with? Who knows! All I know is that I need him to ALSO show up more often!

IAN IAN IAN. My need to put him in super cute clothes is strong but he isn't super into adorable styles and it breaks my heart because his face and size are perfect for cutesy, pastel outfits! Also ugh, his indecisiveness is cute too, everything about him is cute I need to put him on a shelf <3 <3

I LOVE ISAAC???? HE'S EVERYTHING???? Alien cute boy who speaks in code =crying forever= I was so surprised when he showed up doing his weird arm movements like "Woah, what's that?" and ugh, I love alien characters in any way shape or form and his colors just make me love him even more aaaah. I'm so glad he shows up a lot in my game and I can give him many lookits <3

MOMMY? MOMMY PLS? PLS MOMMY???? My love for Matilda is endless and I was absolutely devastated when she told me she was married like!!! I thought she was a single mom for the longest time due to her dialogue and then she dropped that bomb on me! Pls Matilda, divorce your husband and come stay with me, I can give you the world!!! She also shows up A LOT on my game and I'm always doing my best with my looks for her heh

Really like Orihime! She's so cute and I just feel so bad for her when I can't make her a good look and can't help her stop crying! I hope she shows up more and gives me more info on her character "arc" because I want to know more! (I know she's based on the Japanese tale, but I need to know more in the context of the game!)

If I'm not mistaken, Pete was the very first NPC I interacted with, and I really love his eyes and his top/vest is very stylish! I also like the way he repeats himself for some reason. I imagine some people may not like it or find it annoying, but I find it very charming heh He also needs to show up more!

Regina is so pretty it makes me wanna CRY. She's been MIA in my game for a while, which is strange because she would show up all the time! Also love how her dialogue is so disconnected from the world around her due to being obscenely rich XD I can imagine some don't like her for that exact reason (she's the 1%) but I find her behavior endearing!

Gyyyuh, I need to grab Rita and put her in my pocket she's so cute and I just want to protect her from everything!!! If anything happens to her I'll kill everyone and then myself! I also love making lookits for her because they always come off very cute <3

Shledon is such a simple character but I simply love his dark skin/"bleached" hair combo! I'm very weak for that hah Also the shape of his eyes are very pleasant to me, and so are his lips. I just think he's a very gorgeous character and he's always so nice to me <3 He's been missing a bit as well, been a while since I saw him </3

ONEESAN SISI!!!! She's everything! Like I legit fell in love with her at first sight! And her dialogue makes me so weak! Big sis characters are my BIG weakness and also they made her so pretty and FOR WHAT?? To play with my feelings? Well, it's working! I'm ready to die for her!

Twyla, my beautiful girl <3 So so hyped that they added a very early game dark skinned lolita NPC <3 We need more dark skin lolita representation up in here! I absolutely adore making Lookits for her because duh, lolita fashion is something I love and she gives me the chance to explore that a lot! Also love that she's a night owl hah

Really like Watson even though he might seem like a very "basic" character. But... his dialogue lines are just... why does it always feel like he's either coming on to me or flirting with me in a very roundabout way when we talk? Not that I'm complaining because I think he's VERY pretty but?? Is there something you wanna tell me Watson??

Still micheal anon but I think that nb Michael is still obsessed with the brothers to a degree to the point that he's willing to do anything to bring them back. While og om Michael has come to terms with it more while still obviously missing them.

It kind of reminds me of a clingy child in that aspect, still extremely attached and unwilling to let go of them even though they themselves might have moved on from him.

I'm also curious about Raphael on this because for someone who just got impersonated he doesn't seem that upset about it. It probably has to do with him at this point in time being closest to Micheal and in his character introduction how he couldn't leave Michael alone after the brothers left. (And I'm glad he did bc even with Raphael Micheal definitely isn't in a sound place of mind but at least he still has Raphael.)

And I was doubting how close Raphael truly was but then I saw how much of an idiot Micheal seemed in the hard mode that reminded me a lot of my own younger brother that really stopped my doubts. It's clearly obvious to me that the Micheal mc knows and the Micheal the brothers and Raphael know are different.

Kinda lengthy again but I do enjoy hearing your thoughts, also for the past weeks I've been brain rotting about him and the possibilities and that really leaks into my asks.

I honestly hadn't considered the difference between NB Michael and OG Michael, but you're totally right. NB Michael has only just recently lost all his brothers. I guess I can cut him some slack because of that, it would certainly explain the way he seems like he'd do just about anything to get them back. Even if that means forcing them to choose between leaving Satan behind and possibly starting a war between the Celestial Realm and the Devildom. It's definitely a bit of an immature response, though, because even if he's doing it out of desperation, he's only considering his own feelings by doing it at all, in my opinion.

Honestly, I am starting to really like Raphael. He's a little unhinged, but he seems to have everyone's best interests at heart. I really thought that Raphael just knew all the stuff he did when he was in the Devildom because he was so close with Michael that Michael told him everything. I was not expecting that it was actually Michael disguised as Raphael at all. But I feel like Michael needs Raphael and it's good that Raphael is still around, just like you said. Though I did find it interesting that at the end of the hard lesson, Raphael said maybe he should have followed Lucifer when he had the chance. It makes me wonder why he decided not to. I think Simeon feels really guilty about not siding with Lucifer, but Raphael doesn't seem to have that same regret? It sounded more like he was saying that following Lucifer would have been easier than dealing with Michael now that Lucifer is gone lol.

I definitely think there's a bit of a theme with characters who act different depending on who they're around. Michael is always pretty formal with MC, even when he's pretending to be Raphael. And yet, when he's talking to Raphael, it's clear that he's something of a troublemaker and possibly doesn't actually know what he's doing at all. It seems like he's just using the formality of the Celestial Realm to make it seem like he knows what he's doing, but he absolutely doesn't.

All this is to say that I don't dislike Michael! I actually don't feel strongly one way or the other yet because we don't have enough information about him. I'm just not particularly pleased with the things he's been doing in the last couple of lessons. I get the feeling they're going to introduce him for real in the next season, so I think if we get to spend more time getting to know him, I'll be able to form a real opinion of him.

Though in the end I usually find reasons to love all the characters, so I suspect he'll grow on me just like Raphael has lol.

I have one more IRL story (it's the PT again). This happened in grad school during a neuro class. My best friend of 20+ years (we lived on the same street growing up, I'll call him Sam) and I both got into the same PT program. So we were roommates and everything, and we were always studying together and sitting together during class.

On Fridays, we would eat lunch on campus before going to our neuro class. I noticed that day that Sam was quiet and just seemed really tired. His elbow was propped up on the table and he was holding his head in his hand while he ate the broccoli soup he'd ordered.

I asked him if he felt alright, and he told me he hadn't gotten much sleep that night, but assured me he was fine otherwise.

While we were walking to class we were talking back and forth like normal, and I remember we were both worried we were going to have a pop quiz, so we were quizzing each other on the reading we'd had for homework.

During a brief moment of silence, Sam said suddenly, "Ugh. My stomach kind of hurts."

"It does?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Yeah." He shrugged. "I'll be fine."

Well, he wasn't fine. Our professor chose that day of all days to show us a video of a brain surgery that the patient remained awake for. It turned my stomach, and I wasn't even feeling sick beforehand.

It was Game Over for Sam. I looked over at him and he wasn't even watching. He was holding his head in his hands again, looking down, and he was sort of trembling. I could see sweat dripping down his neck.

"You good?" I whispered, nudging his foot with my toe. I knew he wasn't.

"No, think I'm gonna puke," he answered shakily.

I flagged our professor down and discreetly explained the situation. He excused us both from class and I helped Sam to the mens' restroom. I didn't go in there with him, but heard him getting ill from outside the door. :(

I took him back to our apartment and he continued throwing up off and on the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. Poor guy was miserable. His mom ended up coming and getting him for the weekend, so I was able to escape catching it.

Sam got teased a bit from our cohort the following week, just light joking about not being able to stomach a surgery. He took it in stride and let it roll off his shoulders. Only I knew that he'd been genuinely sick.

Another epic story!! Poor thing, that sounds SO miserable. I’m glad you were there to take him home and that he had people around to take care of him!

I'm really glad you like my take on him, Santari, as well as their relationship.

His backstory was really important to me, because it is such a crucial part of what made him the way he is, so I really put a lot of research and effort in creating it. (P.S.: I added some things to my headcanon posts in the meantime, perhaps you'd like that, too!?)

And thanks that you like his parents, as well as their names.

Since Star Wars has quite some aspects that are inspired by Indian culture (names among them - Santari, too), I thought I'd take a look there. But it had to have a nice ring to it, as well as an appropriate meaning on top, fitting for the character, as well as their traits and cultural background (btw, Medhani means "of intelligence" - which reflects Arkanian values, and Dhaval means "sparkling white", because of his snow white hair).

As for Santari - being so close to Dagan, of course she must have known all this about him - and from what is known about her, I think her reaction would be pretty much how I described.

Sad, that there isn't much about her in the canonical sources, either.

And no, it is absolutely not fair that Dagan was treated so poorly by the writers. So often, I stumble upon comments by people who express their disappointment regarding his character portrayal. It's quite a widespread sentiment, actually.

For many he's just a pretty face / the Sexy Guy™ - and, above all, the "TANALORR IS MINE!" dude, as if there is nothing else about him, and he has no other lines but to spout this phrase all the time, like Pikachu does his "pika pika".

But they do have a point - his dialogue wasn't the most well-written, either (bar some very few exceptions).

Ironically, even with the information that was already given about him, it was pretty clear there is so much more about him, so much depth and complexity, that was just waiting to be explored - but somehow, just wasn't.

Because the man was just a mere plot development tool for the writers to use for their main character - because that's what good writing is about ... NOT!

UGH!!!

It really angers me that the writers seem to be quite unapologetic about it, too - and yes, the two-dimensionality definitely was intentional on their part.

That he's an Arkanian offshoot was added later, after the game was finished, according to what I heard, so they were even lazy on that front.

But, then again, Star Wars just isn't the same, quality-wise, after Disney swallowed it up.

I guess I'll never get over that ... *exasperated sigh*

I like the thought of Cal and Dagan becoming good friends, as well.

In my headcanon, they definitely will develop a close friendship at some point - especially because of Cal's kind and forgiving nature, and something he did for Dagan (something concerning Santari) that left a lasting impression on the latter.

Frankly, during the game, it always seemed to me that Cal felt compassion towards Dagan to some degree - be it in the way he talked to and about him, which was still quite respectful considering how he was treated in return, and also how he paid his last respect to him, honouring him as a warrior, after he killed him (although I still feel that Dagan absolutely should have gotten a proper funeral on Tanalorr - even Bode got one - and he actually betrayed Cal on a very personal level, plus is the one responsible for both Master Cordova's and Cere's death ... I know, I obviously rejected this part of the canon, i.e. Dagan's death, but it still bugs me.).

I think, he'd be one of the few people besides Santari who could actually manage to make him drop his defenses and penetrate the walls he built around himself.

Warnings: mentions of exams (ew), friends to lovers, fluffy and cute

It was late spring, and you and Peter had been hanging out in his room together at the academy. He was playing Ms. Pacman while you were studying for an exam.

"Ugh, I hate this! Why did they have to make school so difficult?" You complained as you slammed your book shut and threw it across the room. "So what if the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell? Who cares?"

"Aw, look at you! You're learning," Peter teased, not taking his eyes off his game.

"I'm serious. I mean, when would I ever have to use that in everyday life? School is dumb."

"Whoa, don't let the Professor here you say that," he joked. "Not unless you want a surprise pop quiz."

"Don't you ever joke about surprise pop quizzes around me," you warned him. "Seriously, they are the worst."

"I'll bet," he responded, but it was clear he wasn't paying attention.

"Peter," you said.

"Yeah."

"What did I just say?"

"Mm, something about pop quizzes and how much they suck." He had his tongue sticking out of his mouth, a sign that usually indicated he was trying his best to concentrate on whatever task he was doing at the moment.

"Well, you're not wrong," you muttered as you went to pick up your textbook off the floor so you could continue studying.

"Hey!" He suddenly exclaimed. "I beat my high score!"

You laughed at his reaction. "You're so cute."

He turned to look at you, his cheeks flushed. "You- you think I'm cute?"

You felt your cheeks grow warm as you realized what you'd said. "Um, did I say that out loud? That was pretty random, sorry about that," you nervously chuckled.

"No, it- it's okay," he said, fiddling with the game's joystick. "I, um, I was just gonna say, I think you're cute too."

"Wait, really? Wow," you said, surprised. "If I had known about that, I would have asked you out way sooner."

"So why didn't you?" He blurted, unable to keep his question in.

"Um, I just didn't want to ruin our friendship I guess," you admitted. "But you know what? I'm honestly glad I'm telling you about it. It's good to get this whole me having a crush on you thing off my chest."

"Huh, interesting."

It was silent for probably two minutes, maybe even less than that, but to you it felt like an eternity. I mean, here you were, having told your best friend about your crush on him, and him doing the exact same thing to you. At that point, you had no idea where this was going to go.

"So, um."

Peter's voice snapped you back to reality. "'So, um,' what?" You joked, hoping to lighten the mood.

"So, since I like you, and you like me, do you wanna, maybe, I don't know, go see a movie or something sometime? As maybe, more than friends?"

"Sure, I'd love to." You didn't want to seem too eager, but it was hard to contain the pure happiness you felt.

"Great! But, until then," he pointed to the book you were still holding, "you'd better study up for that exam or else you're gonna fail."

You groaned, rolling your eyes at him. "God, I hate you."

"No, you love me," he corrected, starting a new game.

"Yeah, you're right," you agreed, smiling to yourself as you went to sit back down. Little did you know he was smiling, too.

Shumori chapter 5

TW: ptsd, arson, grief, Diabolik Lovers, survivor's guilt

Yuma was stalking and sulking at one of the four cardinal points of the Sakamaki mansion. His mood wasn't too bad because he happened to land a spot with a rose garden to patrol.

He'd never seen so many of those fragrant flowers together; and they were so well taken care of, too! All blooming crimson rubies with velvety petals glistening with fresh dew in the blinding morning sun.

Must be the army of servants who met with the terrible fate of working here. He'd have loved to ask for tips to tend to his own rose patch, but ain't no way he was asking the vampires who reside in that haunted-looking house to contact their servants for him.

Not even if it was sad his roses never seemed to bloom so he could at least give back something symbolic to Boss and the others.

He'd never had the chance to lay flowers on their graves because they had none, and he still, sometimes, against all logic, wondered if he'd find his old friends, alive and well around the corner.

He never actually saw the whole gang's corpses, right? They could have been just knocked out, couldn't they?

He grabbed an apple from his tree in his enormous pocket to throw up and down; he was getting impatient.

Every time Yuma had this kind of thought, he had to give himself a good old fashioned mental smack- it was ridiculous. Too much time had passed, too! They'd be dead or too old to be recognized, not everyone becomes a vampire like he had!

Murdered friends don't just rise from the dead and randomly cross paths with you.

Shu was on his way out to the garden but he decided a snack was due to occupy his mind on something less tiring than a reboot of his fire nightmare.

The kitchen was near the back door, which was less steps to take than to the front one. Unfortunately the kitchen was out of anything that didn't need to be cooked, so he just left with a sigh.

As he opened the door he sensed Yui was going for a walk in the sun too, but he didn't want to see anyone; glad she was opening the opposite door.

He was about to go sit down at his favorite spot when he noticed a nearly 2 m tall man that was too hard to ignore inspecting the roses Subaru took care of.

-How the hell..! -the tall guy yelled to himself softly touching a rose's petals- grrr... do they fertilize these with blood and dead rats or what?!

-Ugh, it's too early to be this loud... -Shu replied behind him

-HUH?!

Yuma threw the apple at the source of the voice, startled by the sudden sound, ready to run, and then he turned around.

It was none other than the blond man from the day before.

Ruki had asked Karl to send pictures and small descriptions of the Sakamaki brothers the night before for Kou, Yuma and Azusa.

The younger siblings hadn't had the chance to spy on them on the crystal ball at Karl's crib, and the car encounter was too brief.

Yuma had asked who the fuck they all were for the sake of the mission, but only actually read Shu's description.

Apparently the neet of the family, the oldest brother, was up too early or going to sleep too late.

Shu somehow caught the apple he'd thrown at him and casually put it in his pocket. That was a first; his throws always managed to knock grown men to the floor! Shu Sakamaki was a vampire, not a man. It doesn't count!

-Why are you in our garden? -he yawned- If you keep shouting you'll fail the stalking game...

-What the hell..? -Yuma was still stunned- Oi, I'm here for a good reason, but this is getting real boring! ...Why don't you even try to stop me or something?

-There is no point. -Shu shrugged- I don't care what happens to anyone here nor if the place suddenly sinks into oblivion.

-Huh, you really are some kind of neet like our report said.

Shu lifted his eyebrows. Who was making reports on him saying he is a neet? What did his brothers's potential reports say?

Yuma approached Shu on a whim. He had decided the mission could screw itself today, there were things he needed to know!

-I'm surprised, but despite being some spoiled aristocrat, you don't seem like a bad guy.

Shu suddenly froze. His mind started racing.

-You don't seem like a bad guy.

"No, you have no idea what I'm like... go away!" he thought but the words wouldn't come out,

-You must be hungry, it's pretty late. Here's an apple I grew, try it!

No!!!!!!!

Shu felt really hot, burning, and a bit like he was choking. It was like he was there again, hiding from his duties in the forest with his best friend, that imprudent boy who wanted to save his family.

-Don't worry,

Shu saw this grown vampire with a puzzled face in front of him become the child who assured him he'd be fine; he didn't listen to Shu,

-That is not normal fire!!!

His face felt the heat of the extraordinary flames, the rage at the core of them, and his vision began to blur and fade to black, just like the smoke that threatened to annoy him at the time, but would surely poison his best friend, who became a small, indistinguishable black dot in the burning village.

Shu tried, for the first time, to have mind control over him so he got out of the furnace, but it was already too late. He met with a terrible fate.

And if it wasn't for you, that fire wouldn't have been caused. It was one of your kind. This is what happens if anyone is around you. You are the same.

He fell over and the tall man seemed to get taller, as if he'd risen from the ashes that fell in that scene. Shu's vision refused to clear, as if said ashes had fallen into his eyes.

Edgar, that cheerful, generous, knowledgeable, fun child was dead. This guy was simply a stranger, he had to be. It was not worth the hassle, the concern, the stupid emotions, the longing, it was nothing!

And then the ashes buried Shu alive and he couldn't see anything anymore.

-WHAT THE FUCK? -a pale Yuma yelled without even thinking the piglet might hear him and run, and despite himself, tried to put the blond in a sitting position.

-Oi, aren't you a goddamned vampire? -he shook him, but then remembered Shu is actually immortal- ...Get a hold of yourself, Yuma! -He flicked his own forehead.

While this guy seemed to be seeing things and then fainting, Kou, Azusa and Ruki had caught the piggy and were only waiting for him to leave the Sakamaki estate.

Clearly this vampiric bum didn't burn in the sun so hard, but Yuma couldn't help feeling bad for the poor bastard. He wouldn't die if he chocked on his own tongue, but that surely would be a very annoying situation to wake up in.

He carried him into a cozy-looking bench in a stone gazebo and put him in recovery position with some soft leaves as a makeshift pillow.

This place would be out of the blaring sunlight all day, he was all set. Sleeping, Shu's face looked younger. Kinda familiar.

Whatever, time to go, they'd have that conversation some other time.

In contrast with Yui and Shu, Laito had slept all day and woke up till dusk was almost over. He managed to catch the last rays of a red sun; he didn't like how the sun felt on the skin, but sunsets and dawns were always works of art to behold.

Vampires only saw the moon and the stars most of the time, but rarely the spectacle of sunsets. Let alone rainbows!

He was musing about the joys he might have missed out on, as he sometimes did, when he noticed Shu having a walk in the rose garden, eating an apple and looking just as depressed as Laito felt for no obvious reason.

A rare sight, he thought. Shu rarely ever showed he cared about anything, not even himself, nor any kind of emotion beside "tired". Should he investigate what's going on?

Something big might have happened. Subaru was having a fit downstairs, Shu was depressed and there was no human presence in the house. Was Bitch-chan gone? Had the kidnapping from the dream he had really happened? Or was it a coincidence?

He didn't believe in those, but that woman had too many people on her tail for her own good, it was like dreaming that monkeys eat bananas. Subaru was getting closer to his room; hopefully he wouldn't smash anything he considered pretty this time.

-I'm telling ya I didn't think she'd be stupid enough to wander off on her own with four people after her!!! -Subaru yelled and stomped the floor-

-Please have your tantrum elsewhere; outdoors or in your room, and then we'll talk. -Reiji's non-existent pulse was racing- Have you considered the possibility she might have seeked out human-ish contact with those guys? -he tried to be reassuring,

-Since vampires are not even her species and you are extremely possessive, she might have felt lonely.

A smash, a whip, a shriek of pain and a Subaru-shaped thud. Ugh.

-How can I possibly not protect her at all times??? -Subaru whined after a moment- She lives with all of you absolute maniacs!!!

-Is it protection you're giving her, or do you feel threatened someone is going to try and take her away from you, therefore you won't let her have any personal space?

Growling and profanity.

Laito rolled his eyes. Was Reiji purposefully winding him up, or why was he blatantly blaming him? Did he need Subaru to demolish something?

-She'll be back -Shu said confidently as he entered the living room.

Now that was a mood swing. No depression to be heard in that voice! Laito could do that too if necessary, but Shu was the absolute master of it, zero cracks in the act.

But he'd just seen him and felt the vibe from afar a few moments ago; something besides Bitch-chan getting kidnap-cepted had just happened to him.

As he joined the living room he saw everyone was a bit off. And after a mass-bickering session, Ayato told Laito in private he wanted to go to bed earlier that day since he'd had a disturbing dream about a fire and Bitch-chan taken away by some creeps in the forest with a monster truck, he was exhausted.

They were triplets, but weren't "connected" enough to have the same dream.

This was incredibly suspicious. He'd go to bed early too.

This one is short because I need some sleep, ironically. Anyway, more dream world in the next one!

Engage 12 - 14

Spoilers for FE Engage 12+ below the cut.

I'm betting I get Byleth, Ike, Erikia, Corrin, and whoever else I'm forgetting before getting the old rings back? I wish I still had Marth and Sigurd though. They had SSS Tier inheritance.

I love Kagetsu so far. But I'm a sucker for swordmasters in general. The crit animation they have is so fun. If the weapon triangle wasn't such a huge deal in this game, I'd make an entire army of swordmasters lol.

I like how Ivy actually has intel on the enemy and actually tells us. We need more recruited, reformed "villains" who do this.

Fogado is funny so far. If he and Kagetsu had a support, that would be gold. Because it would be non-stop flirting or competing at who can flirt better. I saw Fogado wins so far, because Katetsu is awkward as hell about it lamo.

So if all the NPCs are dark-skinned, they should've made more Solm retainers dark-skinned too (I know from pre-release that images they aren't). FE is getting better a variety, but still some way to go.

Veyle is being a bitch to Marth for no reason. Leave him alone. Still predicting that Mauvier is recruitable. And Griss is . . . eh . . . something. I love a good unhinged villain though.

One thing I DON'T like about this game is that they give you new units way too fast. Like, I just got Ivy and co and now I have Fogado and co. And they seem like a fun bunch, but like, I only have 7 deploy slots . . .

And then you get into a situation where if you want to try out the new units, you can't in a skirmish, because those are the HARDEST battles in this game because it scales with your characters. Which, in some way, I like, because then they're a good challenge but then you can make story levels easier by outclassing enemies, so then you're not "stuck" on a story and can pick and choose your challenging stuff, but it leaves other units behind. Which is typical FE I guess, but all the extra content seems like it encourages you to use new guys. Idk, there's low level Tempest Trials, but those take a long time and rewards are meh for how long it takes, esp for exp, which is why I don't think they really work for it either.

Ugh, Alcryst keeps getting shit level ups, but his supports and character is so interesting. And I just complained about limited deploy slots. I hope my boy can catch up, because he's, unfortunately, next on the benched list. Everyone else either dodges or tanks likes a pro. He's really my only liability on the battlefield right now.

Seforia is pretty cool. Glad to see more moms in this game. Really, almost everyone had a mom instead of a dad this time.

Oh, God, I'm so happy to get Ike. 😭😭😭😭😭 Radiant Dawn was my first Fire Emblem game, and still probably the one I've replayed the most. OMG this makes me so happy 😭😭😭😭

Timerra and co seem fun, but again, I'm sick of new characters. I still have a few open slots (pending you take 12-14 ish in final chapters), but 1 is reserved for the dancer, because, dancer. It's just a bonus he's gorgeous this time.

Ok, also, you have no idea how happy the bosses of these chapters makes me. It's a shoutout to other twin bandits with goofy names that used to show up n all the past GBA games.

Iyv's reaction to hearing that Hortensia has attacked was hilarious. A+ to the voice actress selling that.

I like how the three heirs on this post-level map are all talking to the locals. It's a nice detail. They're being diplomatic.

Also, another small bonus to this game. The bald eagle actually sounds like a bald eagle. All that majestic yelling you hear in movies is fake. That's a different bird. Eagles sound like squeaky toys, lamo.

Ivy teasing Alcryst in their B support is great lol. She tweaked him big time. She's a much more engaging character than she seemed like she would be initially.

So I just saw Alfred and Ivy's C Support, and this is the 2nd time someone told Alfred he's naïve for trusting people and he's just like "yep!" I love him so much, you don't even know.

Kagetsu is a fucking badass. Dude doesn't even have a special ring and makes mincemeat of enemy units. No way I could've beat the skirmish I just did without him. It was fog of war, everyone was separated, and like 99% of the units were fliers, but I really want to adopt a deer, so . . . Thanks, Kagetsu. He's going to get a pebble when I get back to Somniel. There wasn't even any deer. 😭 Why did I suffer? Got an owl and a rabbit at least though.

Case in point about Kagetsu. Turns out, he was the first enemy in the arena and defeated: Merrin, Ivy, Celine, and Chloe before Alfred finally took that menace down.

Lyn mentioned Eliwood and Hector in her paralogue 😭😭

Just saw Alfred and Alear's A Support. I think they're cute together. He's one of the few people who was casual with her right away, which is what Alear really wants. And the first one who offered friendship too. Still picking him as my S Support.

I still can't get over Hortensia's design.

Kind of glad that Hortensia is angry with Ivy. It makes sense she'd feel hurt and betrayed by Ivy, esp since she just lost her father too. Conflict also makes for a better story so . . .

Oh, wow, another cool moment for Alear. Hortensia is holding the Solm queen captive and threatens to kill her if Alear won't hand over the rings. But Alear refuses. So does Timerra, good on her.

Hortensia's VA is really selling her breakdown. Makes me feel bad and realize she's just a little girl. Then thong lady shows up and ruins it.

Is it bad I'm relieved Goldmary and Rosado aren't around? Because I'm tired of getting 3 new units every round. Even though I want Rosado so badly.

Oh, good grief. Hortensia is under some kind of mind control. How original, Fire Emblem. Betting that other little girl is too.

Ivy and Hortensia got pretty cool story arcs. Pretty sure I get Hortensia and Byleth now. Man, it's cool to get Byleth.

And, hey, another parent gets to live!
