Tell us your 3 fave OC ships and the song(s) or other media you associate with them. They can be your own OCs or the OCs of someone else (it's more fun if you include someone else!) Pass this on to 3 others (on or off anon) and let's keep the game going!
Okay, I'm going to mention three ships of my own, because even when I have some favorites from other simmers, I prefer to go with what I know best, which are the characters of my stories. Here are three of them, in no particular order, and making it clear they're not my only favorites, I have several more, but these are the ones who already have a theme song, in fact some even have two. 😋
Robin and Juliette. (Time Traveler).
1. Sleeping Satellite by Tasmin Archer
2. Science by Coldplay.
Sleeping Satellite in reference to what the Moon means for Robin's family, the sea and other important stuff in his and Juliette's life. The lines "are the seas still dry?", reminds me of Oasis Landing and the Barren Wasteland which, in my story, is where the sea was supposed to be.
The lines "nobody said it was easy" and "nobody said it would be this hard", remind me of how difficult it has been for Robin and Juliette to go back together. "Questions of science, science and progress, do not speak as loud as my heart; but tell me you love me, come back and haunt me, oh, and I rush to the start!"
I think the whole lyric itself describes the situation these two have been through, time jumps and all.
Tony and Cassandra. (Tony and Cassandra/Tony Langerak's World Adventures).
1. No Myth by Michael Penn.
2. This Love, by Maroon 5.
No Myth always makes me think of Tony and his World Adventures, also the lines "we say goodbye before hello, my secret she will never know", remind me of how Cassandra hated Tony so much before falling in love with him, and how Tony conquered her thanks to a wish he made to the lamp of the genie who was his assistant at that time, lol. (Later Cassandra fell in love with him for real).
This Love is more like Tony's chaotic love life theme and also the song he most likes to play on the drums.
Dale and Kelly.
They only have one theme song so far, it's Superstar by Jamelia.
"I don't know what it is, that makes me feel like this. I don't know who you are, but you must be some kind of superstar, cause you got all eyes on you no matter where you are".
The song is self-explanatory, it makes me think of how crazy these two are about each other, and how attractive the two are to one another and to other people. ❤️ I must add this is one of my favorite songs ever. 🥰
There, I hope I got this right, sorry if it turned out too long, I tried to be brief this time, I swear! Sorry as well if the YouTube videos have ads, I don't know yet how to do the Spotify thingy.
Thank you so much @changingplumbob for the ask! 🤗💗

One of the reasons I’m so excited about Kalina being back is that one of the things Brennan and everyone at D20 does so well are social antagonists. Characters can switch really well between being a problem in a big evil dnd way and also just being manipulative or bitchy or toxic. I’m reminded of how good Tony was in the unsleeping city part 2 was as this establishment thorn in Sophia’s side long before they actually fought. I’d love for Kalina to remain a source of conflict for the bad kids without even having to be an adventuring obstacle or have to fight in any physical way.
Kalina’s strong point always was her ability to get under the party’s skin and as a foil to guilt trip the hell out of Kristen is going to be so good. Also it just seems good for Casandra to have one of her old friends back.

Casandra Rogers | Request Muse
Age: 21
Fandom: Marvel Based OC
Species: Human
Pronouns: She/Her
Romance: Pansexual
Face Claim: Chloe Moretz
About:
Cassie Rogers was born from a genetic experiment designed to create an heir to the Rogers estate using a sample of DNA still on file. Born on Valentine's Day, she was named by the few doctors involved in her creation and given her grandmother's name. Cassandra grew up well taught and hidden, no one wanting the word of who her father was to get out. SHIELD kept her file under supreme lock and key. She was trained and taught under the guidance of some of SHIELD's best, and was soon on her way to being of the greats herself.
That was when they located her father in the ice.
Plans were secretly underway to eliminate the girl, but when a pair of partners noticed her hacking into SHIELD files, they spoke up about needing her technological knowldege as an asset to the agency. Coulson agreed and let her begin field work. Cassandra had always had a particular fondness for Captain America and Tony Stark, so she was curious as they worked to defrost the man. She met him when she was tasked to help him regain some footing in the new world, and after a while, Steve asked questions about her parents that Cassie couldn't answer. She'd never seen her personel file, and all she kenw was that she'd never known her parents. She didn't know it at the time, but a few members of the team had commented on how Cassie looked like Steve, and they were all looking for answers.
The truth of her parentage came when Tony had JARVIS run a scan on her blood against Steve's, and it came back a paternal match. The team was infuriated that they had never been told, but Cassie found the news a shell shock. She's since moved into the Avengers Headquarters and refuses to acknowledge most of the SHIELD community.

2018 – THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY
In addition to this set.
2018 was a difficult year for me personally, I’m having a lot of health related issues and thus haven’t been present on this site for a while, which means most of my blogs here were pretty much abandoned, and I’m sorry for less updates here.
Anyway, this blog isn’t about me but about EA/SEA Diaspora film and TV, and in this respect the year was great - not without the ugly parts - but still great.
The great:
Crazy Rich Asians. One can love it or hate it, but there’s no denying that it made the buzz and became the phenomena of this year. It was wonderful to see the unity and the support that Asian Diaspora actors/filmmakers all over the world (Canada, Australia, France, the UK... etc.) showed for this film. Also, all the awards!
To All The Boys I Loved Before. Again, another unexpected hit, and Lana Condor becoming the new YA icon. Hopefully, she has a promising career ahead of her.
Sandra Oh finally getting the deserved recognition with her role in Killing Eve. Long overdue.
Darren Criss being showered by the awards for his role in the ACS. Yes, there has been some controversy after his Vulture interview... but: 1) he is a Filipino-American (his mother is); 2) he is getting the awards for portraying Andrew Cunanan (a Filipino-American). These are the facts.
Searching. Maybe it didn’t make as much buzz as CRA or TATBILB, but it did score its well deserved awards. Also, it’s a really good, innovative movie. And the support it got from the fellow Asian-American actors/filmmakers was also nice to watch.
Harry Shum Jr. winning the Male TV Star award for his role in Shadowhunters at the PCA’s. He’s not only the first Asian actor to win in this category, but also the first actor of color in general, if I understand correctly. Shout out to the Shadowhunters / #SaveShadowhunters fandom for making this real!
Steven Yeun scoring wins and nominations for his supporting part in Burning. While Burning is not a Western/Diaspora Asian film, Steven is a Diaspora Asian actor, so it’s really great to see him get all those awards.
Kelly Marie Tran’s, or rather say, Loan Tran’s open letter published by The New York Times. Alas, the circumstances that pushed her to write it were ugly, the letter itself is powerful.
Constance Wu getting a Golden Globe best lead actress nomination. She is the first Asian woman in 44 years to be named in the category.
Henry Golding becoming the first Asian GQ ‘Men Of The Year’ cover star. It’s also been a good year for Henry with CRA and A Simple Favor releasing on big screen worldwide one after another, and with him getting roles in The Gentlemen and Last Christmas, filming Monsoon. Henry Golding is going places.
The good:
Ella Jay Basco being cast as Casandra Cain in the upcoming Birds of Prey movie.
Shang-Chi – the announcement of Marvel’s first Asian film superhero franchise.
Jenna Ushkowitz won Tony Award
Awkwafina became the first Asian woman to host SNL in 18 years after Lucy Liu.
Nico Santos – got Critics Choice Awards nomination for his role in Superstore.
Elementary being renewed for the final 7th season. It’s sad that it’s ending, but maybe it’s better to end on a high note and have a whole season to wrap things up. Also, looking forward to see Lucy Liu doing new amazing things.
LD Entertainment has optioned the rights to Celeste Ng’s 2014 debut novel, Everything I Never Told You, and will team with Oscar-nominated producer Michael De Luca (The Social Network, Captain Phillips, Moneyball) on a film adaptation.
Kim’s Convenience being renewed for 3d and 4th seasons, scoring awards and nominations, coming to Netflix.
The Family Law being renewed for 3d season, getting nominations and awards.
Webseries & shorts: Homecoming Queens; Meeting Mommy, Yappie
European E/SE Asian actors have had good career opportunities – Frederic Chau and Lang Khê Tran doing big screen movies back in France; British actors like Gemma Chan, Sonoya Mizuno, Andrew Koji and Lewis Tan etc. doing good in Hollywood.
More gaysians on screen: Grey’s Anatomy has got its first gay male surgeon in the main cast, Dr. Nico Kim (Alex Landi).
Jake Choi came out as fluid.
The babies: Steven Yeun and Joana Pak are expecting their second child, Harry Shum Jr. and Shelby Rabara are expecting their first.
The bad:
The award of the most problematic character death of the year goes to Humans and the way they killed off Mia. Alas, with the whole racially problematic arc she had since season one, it wasn’t surprising.
The ugly:
Kelly Marie Tran being harassed on social media by racist misogynistic trolls.
What to look forward in 2019:
Kim’s Convenience s3 that premiers Jan 8 on CBC.
The Family Law’s final 3d season that premiers Jan 12 on SBS.
Warrior that premiers on Cinemax in 2019.
Always Be My Maybe
Ms. Purple – Justin Chon’s new film that premiers on the Sundance Film Festival.
Brenda Song starring in Netflix’ Secret Obsession.
Awkwafina and B.D. Wong’s upcoming Comedy Central tv series.
Wu Assassins

TumblrFrostbite's Crossover AU Message: If the Marvel Cinematic Universe Iron Man and Black Panther characters (heroes, villains and supporting cast members alike) had existed in the DCEU instead of the Batman chars, how would things turn out for them in that universe? Note: The IM and BP characters here will be the ones from the MCU films excluding Black Widow, Nick Fury and Philip "Phil" Coulson as their roles will be taken over by Katana, Amanda Waller and Rick Flag.
Tony’s parents would have still been killed except he wouldve witnessed the act. since tony is an impulsive genious he quickly finds the culprit and uses his intelect and weapons to beat the man near death, until he is stopped by his butler jarvis. Tony probably invests a large portion of his time outfitting the GCPD with AI robocops, only to have it blow up in his face when they are turned rogue by “jokerized hank PIM” who creates ultron. realizing that it was always a possibility, Tony creates a suit with varying contingencies to combat the robots(X 23 mixed with Casandra cain as deathcaw, death stroke with the venom symbiote as agent venom, Daredevil and Harleyquinn mixed wit emma frost as Mirage”. after defeating them with the help of Katana and Waller’s Weapon X program. Stark is blackmailed into creating War machine for Waller as compensation. Waller intends to use the team and War machine to infiltrate DCEU’s version of Wakanda, where i suppose the equivalent to vibranium would be either a form of kryptonite or a powersource akin to one of the latern core batteries.

I would like to know about anything in regency au Harley's future
WELL.
Harley would normally have to study a lot more than Peter because he’s going to take the throne. Tony has already seen to a lot of his study though, so when Steve and Bucky sit him down to tell him everything he needs to learn before he can have a say in court, he says, “But I already know that.”They quiz him. He does know that. “I guess we can just skip to the practical part?” Steve says, bewildered.(“Why are you surprised that I was preparing my son for the throne?” Tony asks, offended, when Steve and Bucky confront him. “Do you think I just let my children dilly-dally around all day? No. They were studying. Hell, Peter could probably take the throne now that he’s been taking care of his duchy and has practical experience.” Steve and Bucky really should have known this would happen, they decide.)
Harley continues trying to woo Riri. Riri is letting other alphas court her, of course, because she’s still young and needs her options open. Harley is quietly devastated when Riri brushes him off at a ball to dance with another alpha vying for her attention without even giving him a second glance, and anytime he tries to ask her to dance she gets swept off by another potential mate. He tells himself that it’s her choice, though. If she doesn’t want Harley, that’s okay.(“You’re allowed to feel hurt that she didn’t choose you,” Bucky says gently. Harley buries his face in his father’s chest and pretends he isn’t shedding a few quiet tears. He’d really liked Riri.)
Harley takes a step back from courting and buries himself in work. Letters from Riri sit on his desk, unopened. “Wouldn’t you like to read these?” Tony asks, picking them up from under a microscope.“No,” Harley says shortly. “Mother, I’m trying to get something done here, if you don’t mind.”Tony frowns at him and sets the letters back down. “I’m sorry, Harley. I’ll get out of your way.” Harley sighs angrily after Tony leaves. He hadn’t meant to hurt his mother’s feelings.(He stares at the letters for a while before clenching his jaw stubbornly and dropping them into the waste basket. The omega maid that comes to clean up his office sets the letters back on the desk, muttering about idiot alphas.)
Tony gets tired of Harley working himself to death to avoid his problems and sets up a lunch date with a nice omega named Casandra. She’s not a princess but she’s of fairly high rank.Harley tries his best not to be an ungrateful brat. Casandra is really nice but he can’t imagine marrying her. Then again, maybe his dads had never imagined marrying Tony when they first met him, either.(Steve and Bucky mutter about the pros and cons of rebound relationships. “Why are alphas so awful,” Tony complains to Pepper, who stares at him a long moment before shrugging.“Dunno. We’re just hopeless idiots, I guess.”“Yeah,” Tony sighs, and Rhodey snorts when Pepper whips around to give the oblivious omega a glare.)
Riri bursts into the throne room and stomps up to them, her guards scrambling to catch up with her angry, quick steps. “Harley Rogers!” she shouts, livid. “If you think I actually wanted those other alphas than you’re stupider than I thought!”Harley looks terrified. Tony looks smug.“Just because I have to humor my other suitors for the good of my kingdom doesn’t mean I won’t come back to you in the end,” she continues, somehow growing in volume despite the fact that she’d come in yelling. “You’re the dumbest alpha I have ever met!”Harley looks hurt. He tries really hard not to be an idiot around her, but it sounded like he’d done a pretty lousy job of it.(Riri stomps up the steps and grabs his collar to drag him down into a kiss that looks both painful and impressive.“Oh, look, it’s time to be somewhere that’s not here,” Tony says, hooking arms with both of his mates and towing them toward the door.“What,” Steve says.Bucky glares at him. “Harley gets this from you. I just want you to know that.”“All alphas are hopeless,” Tony cuts in before they can bicker about it. “I knew what was happening all along!”“How,” Steve and Bucky ask because they’d had absolutely no idea.)
The Williams Kingdom proudly announces Princess Riri’s engagement to Harley. Harley doesn’t know how it happened but he’s grabbing it with both hands and not letting go.(As it turns out, the letters were explanations of what had happened and pleas for him to talk to her. He really is an idiot.)
The Williams insist on hosting the wedding because the omega being wed off is theirs.“I don’t get to plan anymore weddings?” Tony asks in confusion, voice cracking a little. “Because my children are alphas?” Riri stares at him, aghast, before dragging him off to talk to her mother.“We don’t know that Maria is going to be an alpha,” Steve points out.Bucky shrugs. “I dunno, Tony seems pretty sure.”(Tony is allowed to help with some of the food. He’s always had decadent taste. Queen Williams remembers the tables laden with food at Peter’s wedding fondly. “I especially liked that tart with the–the little fruit, the green and white ones?”“The kiwi and dragonfruit tart? Thank you! I’ll tell the chefs. They did such a good job making the foods I described to them,” Tony says earnestly.Queen Williams stares at him. She wants to pinch his cheeks.)
Riri’s wedding dress is resplendent. “It’s not as beautiful as your mother’s was, of course,” King Williams tells Harley after the wedding, when they’ve all sat down to supper. “We couldn’t even find out who made it.”“If we have omega children, can they wear your wedding dress?” Riri asks Tony.Tony’s eyes go wide and shiny with tears. “It would please me very much to have my grandchildren wear my mother’s wedding dress.”(Tony still insists that they offer the children a choice. He thinks Riri’s dress was just as beautiful as his mother’s. It’s really not even close and everyone else agrees, but Riri acquiesces to the request anyway when Harley does a thing with is eyebrows at her. Harley will tell her about it later. That’s fine with her.)((She’s really not ready for what she finds out, though, and the way she looks at Tony is–different. Not in any way Tony would notice, just… speculative when it wasn’t before. She goes out of her way to be kinder to Tony now. Tony is delighted that his daughter-in-law is asking his opinions in her decisions even if he isn’t sure why she is.))

VOLVIO EL MERENGUE FRI, NOV 27 | 8PM HARD ROCK LIVE, HOLLYWOOD FL
Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets. Tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Refunds can be issued at initial point of purchase.
Volvió el Merengue, a special concert night celebrating Merengue music and that features iconic musical acts to take place on Friday, Nov. 27 at Hard Rock Live. Dance the night away and enjoy performances by Los Hermanos Rosario, Toño Rosario and Sergio Vargas, singing their hit songs that have shaped Merengue music over the last four decades.
Los Hermanos Rosario is the great Dominican Merengue orchestra, composed by the brothers Rafa, Luis and Tony Rosario. From its beginnings, Los Hermanos Rosario started successfully, making their first international tour in the United States in 1983. With the launch of Otra Vez, Los Hermanos Rosario became the leading popular music orchestra from the Dominican Republic, with songs like: “Rubia de Fuego,” “Ingrata'' and “Mi Tonto Amor.” In 1992, they released the album Insuperable, surpassing all previous work for its excellent quality and the combination of first-rate talent with the contagious rhythm of merengue. Hit songs from the album include: “Brindame una Copa,” “Desde que la Vi,” and “Mil Horas'' which was included in the soundtrack of the movie High Heels (Tacones Lejanos) by Pedro Almodovar. Subsequently, when “Morena Ven” was released, Los Rosario became the first group within the Merengue genre to reach the Billboard Top 10 (achieved previously only by Juan Luis Guerra and 440). The song became a hymn throughout the Hispanic world, consolidating the group as the most sought-after and popular Dominican orchestra abroad.
Toño Rosario is a Grammy-award nominee Merengue musician. As a member of Los Hermanos Rosario, Rosario has been a key figure in popularizing Merengue music, with hits reaching the top of the Billboard Latin charts and the top of charts in Europe. Rosario is the top selling Merengue artist of all time. The three-time Grammy nominee has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. He is best known for his Romantic Merengue renditions. Rosario was the first solo merengue act to ever sell out Madison Square Garden.
Sergio Vargas began his career as a merengue singer in 1980 when he participated in the Festival de la Voz, a Dominican Republic contest that was sponsored by Santo Domingo television's channel 9. He came in second place at that festival. The year 1991 was a particularly productive year in Vargas' career; he earned one of his multiple Casandra awards after participating in a television special named "Este es mi País" ("This is my Country"). He also received a Casandra in recognition of his popularity outside the Dominican Republic and he sang in front of 20,000 spectators at New York's Madison Square Garden as part of that city's Carnival of Merengue. In 1993, Vargas received a golden album, and he was one of the singers who participated in Miami's famous Calle Ocho Festival.
