I love to read, and really just being a student of life. Many of the books I read are non-fiction, saving all the fiction for things like comics, fan-fiction, and other visual media, and a go-to of mine in recent years has been Tribe of Mentors by Tim Ferriss. Not only does it contain some great general life advice, as the subtitle states, it's also a fantastic resource for finding other literary gems -- probably why I have not yet finished Tribe of Mentors proper as I keep getting distracted by all the other book recommendations throughout. Definitely a good, positive/uplifting read, highly recommend!

Why you should define your fears instead of your goals | Tim Ferriss TED
The best example of using stoicism in our modern lives. The hard choices — what we most fear doing, asking, saying — are very often exactly what we need to do. How can we overcome self-paralysis and take action? Tim Ferriss encourages us to fully envision and write down our fears in detail, in a simple but powerful exercise he calls “fear-setting.” Learn more about how this practice can help you…

"Missed the Financial Gravy Train: A Roadmap to Achieving Financial Security at 57 and Beyond"Are you a 57-year-old man or woman who feels like your financial gravy train left the station 25 years ago without you? If so, it's time to take control of your financial future and secure a lifestyle of wealth and freedom. In the next 5-7 years, you can go from financial insecurity to financial security. But how? The answer is an online business. In today's digital age, it's easier than ever to start and grow a business from the comfort of your own home. You don't need to have a physical storefront or invest a lot of time and energy into building a traditional business. With an online business, you can create an automatic income stream that generates money for you even when you're not working. An online business can take many forms, such as e-commerce, affiliate marketing, or digital product creation. The possibilities are endless. The key is to find an online business model that aligns with your interests, skills, and goals. Once you find the right business model, you can start building your income stream. One of the benefits of an online business is that it can be started with a relatively small investment. You don't need to have a lot of money to get started. All you need is a computer, an internet connection, and the willingness to learn. With the right training and resources, you can build an online business that generates a steady income stream. But where do you start? That's where I come in. I would like to invite you to board my train, a train of fun and speed that's destined to create the lifestyle you want. All you need to do is watch some free, no-fluff training on how to create an online automatic income machine. The training is available at SideHustleTrends.com. The training is designed to guide you through the process of building an online business, step by step. You'll learn how to find the right business model, how to build your website, how to generate traffic and sales, and much more. With the knowledge and skills you gain from the training, you'll be able to build an online business that generates a steady income stream. One thing to keep in mind is that focus is key. At our age, we may not have as much time or energy as we used to. That's why it's important to invest in yourself and focus on finding a high-speed train that will take you where you want to go. Whether it's my train or someone else's, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you take the time to invest in yourself and turn your vision of financial security and freedom into a reality. The training is free and you can watch it at your own convenience. The only requirement is that you commit to focus, invest time and energy into building your online business. The success of your business depends on it. You'll be surprised how much you can accomplish in a short amount of time when you focus on your goal. Starting an online business is not easy, it's a process that will take time and effort. But with the right training and resources, you can build a business that generates a steady income stream. You can control your family time, your fun time, and free yourself from the control of others. You'll be able to live the life you've always wanted, free from financial insecurity. In conclusion, if you're a 57-year-old man or woman who feels like your financial gravy train left the station 25 years ago without you, it's not too late to take control of your financial future. A friend once told me, Miracle, you would take over the world, and I responded by saying the greatest take over isn't the world take over but self take over.
Self-leadership means taking over myself by myself without the influence of another person. Life itself would give more room to take over others but it always begins with self.
In a nutshell, the definition of leadership is mastery over self than being a master over others. One of the greatest leadership projects is oneself not others.
Nobody can truly take over the world without first taking over themselves. We only met the world here and we would leave it. We only use this world in being and knowing ourselves but some people have allowed it to define them.
Some Leaders have lost control of themselves by trying to have control over others.

11 Questions: My Answers
Tim Ferriss asks the same 11 questions of 135 “famous/successful/household name” people in his new book, Tribe of Mentors. What a great freaking idea!
Here are my answers. Reblog to post yours, or leave a reply in the notes!
1. What is the book (or books) you’ve given most as a gift, and why? Or:what are one to three books that have greatly influenced your life?
Oh goddess this one is so hard. I read so much and there are so many things that have helped. One would be “When Things Fall Apart” by Pema Chodron. Another is “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. They’re really great for tapping into the present and helping calm anxiety, nerves and future-tripping.
2. What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last six months (or in recent memory)? My readers love specifics like brand and model, where you found it, etc.
Wifi Booster is a game-changer for work-from-home. Broadly, I’d say “books!” of course. But my real answer is: a really nice pen, and a foam wedge that prevents my back from hurting after sitting all day.
3. How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success? Do you have a “favorite failure” of yours?
A few years ago, I would’ve cringed at this question. Nowadays, I love failure, because it shows me where I can learn and grow. The journey of becoming more skilled is the fun part.
One really good example of this is realizing I totally queried the wrong type of agents! Here I internalized that and let it set me back. But I needed the interim time to learn more about the industry and my craft - what a blessing, in the long run! And I’ve got a much healthier mental approach to pitching.
Now if I could only learn to better pause and accept/bask in successes, great or small!
4. If you could have a gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it — metaphorically speaking, getting a message out to millions or billions — what would it say and why? It could be a few words or a paragraph. (If helpful, it can be someone else’s quote: Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?)
“Stop and think about what the other person might be going through. Be kind to yourself with daily self-care practices that work for you. Put the phone down for long periods.”
5. What is one of the best or most worthwhile investments you’ve ever made? (Could be an investment of money, time, energy, etc.)
My relationships. My support network and family have gotten me through everything.
6. What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
Listening to things at 2x speed. Let’s be real: 1x speed is TOO SLOW. On-air voice is different than how you’d read. Plus, I’m able to 2x my consumption!
7. In the last five years, what new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?
That I’m not responsible for other people’s feelings, no matter how unskilled their reaction.
8. What advice would you give to a smart, driven college student about to enter the “real world”? What advice should they ignore?
Oh, god, the one I should’ve taken myself: take that trip or gap year. YOUR CAREER WILL SURVIVE, you’re driven. The break will do you good. Journal (take notes) about it.
Also: be smart with your social media.
9. What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession or area of expertise?
That spamming people with emails is going to get every recipient to convert and buy something. Spoiler: conversion isn’t the most impressive statistic.
Most people don’t ever clean out their inboxes or take the time to unsubscribe, so just because you have a list doesn’t mean it’s active - or that your list is all that “great.” In fact, you might be earning “negative consumers,” those that talk poorly about you because you’ve annoyed them. Compare the open rates to conversion rates. Please.
10. In the last five years, what have you become better at saying no to (distractions, invitations, etc.)? What new realizations and/or approaches helped? Any other tips?
Well, in the last year we’ve had a pandemic, so that’s really put a lot into perspective.
I have really tuned in with the payouts. For example, if I go out, will I be tired the next day? So I’m not just losing two hours that night, but productivity the next day as well.
I also found magic in the “How to Break Up With Your Phone” book. It really helped cement the things I’ve been hearing for years. Once I put them into practice, it was astonishing how much time goes away because of my phone - not just from mindless scrolling, but by not tuning into how I’m really feeling and why I’m looking to avoid the feelings I’m having about the things I would otherwise be doing.
11. When you feel overwhelmed or unfocused, or have lost your focus temporarily, what do you do? (If helpful: What questions do you ask yourself?)
What an excellent segue.
I make a list, a brain dump of sorts. Or I check the list I’ve made for the day. I close email, turn my phone around. Sometimes pressing play on focus music or an audiobook will help get me back into flow. (The deal with the audiobook is that it occupies the part of my brain that wants to hamster off on a shiny thing, and I stop the audiobook once I’m re-engaged enough to not need it anymore. It works remarkably well, actually, and I usually turn it off after just a few minutes. A podcast could work, too.)

“Tools of Titans” Review
Tumblr media
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Francis Bacon once said, “some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and few to be chewed and digested”. This book has something for even the most peculiar tastes and many passages that when chewed and digested are game-changers. Out of all the books I have read I believe this one had the greatest effect on my daily life and how I approach the highs and lows of each day. It also introduced me to so many other amazing authors through their interviews in the book and there is a list of all the books in the back that have influenced these people or that they recommend to readers. The references alone made this book worth the purchase for me, but I assure you it contains so much more than just a way to learn about new people For me it was a true turning point in my life, it provided me with multiple paths forward and guaranteed that if I utilized even one of them it could improve my quality of life. The author also has a really down to earth writing style and emphasizes the point that these people are not superhuman or the products of luck, but regular people who have developed systems to improve their decision-making process. Because at the end of the day who we are is defined by the decisions we make. So he provides plenty of examples, both good and bad, that got them to where they are today. After reading this book multiple times I almost feel like I know the people in a way and I often find myself asking what would this person do in this situation. This surprisingly has greatly aided my decision-making process.
Overall, the book is a gripping page-turner that I find myself returning to time and time again. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning from other people’s success, anyone who is looking for new insight on life, or even someone who is just looking for a glimpse into some exceptional lives.

I have people around me , working day and night or 15-16hr every day. They start thier day at 5-6am and they present in the market at 9 or 10 Am and leave the market at 9-10pm every day. But when you ask "What are thier targets and how much they have achieved." I have got same answer which is "I am working so hard ,but you know market is not so good, low footfall in shop, my last deal or deals cancel (which are almost done) or my senior and company is not supporting me. They are harras me every morning and night before day clossing. I said what the fuck you are doing , why are you working hard if you are not getting results. If you are working hard and company is not support you then just work casualy, don't take panic. Another thing I always add which is ,these are excuses and you Can Not Deposit Excuses in Your Bank Account. So instead of working hard ,set your priorities, set goals, make plans for every day and for every customer (dealer) , monitoze your Goals regularly. That's how you will achieve your goals. I always believe in Setting Goals and Making Systems to Achieve Them. I never take panic of Achieving my sales quota, instead of pushing myself to achieve my target I always push myself to Developing new skills and brush up my Older skills. That's how I Achieve my goals achieving ratio is "8.6:10". If I am in job , doesn't mean I will always do the job, I am practicing here to Improve my skills like "Sales, Communication , Clossing and most importantly The Peoples skill.
