Continuing to work with Blender's 3D and grease pencil/2D animation. Definitely a steep learning curve, I continue to struggle with what seem to be pretty standard things in other software, and are just a little less intuitive in Blender. Keeping at it, I modeled a glass of juice to add to the scene, and I'm hoping to add a chair next in order to make the camera move and composition a little more interesting. Fingers crossed for more swift progress in the future!
