I Can See You - Live Action!Sanji x Reader
Saw a post about wanting a fic with Sanji and this song that @its-a-show-stoppin-number posted and I knew I wasn't gonna get anything done until I wrote this. I've never written anything like this before to be honest. I kinda word vomited in a sense. The story just exited my fingers and here it is.
Warnings: Suggestive, kissing, secret relationship, nothing explicit, only implied, objectification of Taz Skylar's jawline, like. Why’s it so fine. Like. Dear lord.
No use of y/n, or those weird descriptor things, reader is gender neutral. Reader is however you imagine them

It wasn’t something you had seen coming. It wasn’t like you, to be honest.
But he was just so damn charming. How were you supposed to resist?
Sanji hadn’t been part of the crew for long. A few weeks at most. But you had been watching him from the moment the crew walked into the Baratie.
Tall. Strong. Nicely dressed. Polite. Respectful. Suave. Not to mention good looking. That jawline–in your defense, you HAD tried to ignore the blatant attraction.
Fleeting glances for almost a week, brushing past each other in the ship’s hallways. Fantasies filling your head. One specific dream of exchanging heated kisses in a dark corner had your mind racing whenever you were in the same room as the chef.
It was impossible to function properly.
Your job aboard the Going Merry was to document the events that occurred. Luffy thought it would be perfect to write down all of the adventures that would eventually lead to him becoming King of the Pirates.
And writing anything was impossible.
Blond hair and grey blue eyes kept your mind far too distracted.
So you decided to do something about it.
Especially since you had caught his eyes on you repeatedly throughout dinner.
So you took your time eating. A phrase which here means wasting your time until Luffy, Usopp, Zoro, and Nami had vacated the kitchen for the evening. Leaving you alone with Sanji.
As he stood to clear the dishes, your hand shot out, grabbing his sleeve and stopping him in his tracks.
You looked up into his eyes, your own wide with adrenaline.
"Please tell me it's not all in my head." You said softly. "If it is, I promise, it'll be like this never happened."
"And if I say it's not all in your head?" He murmured the words, the tension so thick someone could have cut it with a knife.
"Then I'd ask if you'd worry what the others thought. I'm not sure if relationships between crewmembers are allowed here. They weren't on my last crew. And I'm not too keen on asking Luffy if I'm entirely honest." You took a deep breath. "But I can't get you out of my head. It's like I'm addicted."
Sanji moved to rest his hands on either side of your chair, effectively caging you in. "So more like a secret mission. Just the two of us." He bit his lip and watched your eyes zero in on the action, a smirk spreading on his face instead.
You nodded, knowing you were in too deep to back out now.
Sanji continued, despite the fact that his eyes flicked down to your lips every few moments. "Everything professional, except when it's just the two of us."
You nodded again, your heart racing and palms sweating as the object of your desire leaned forward a little more, waiting for you to reach across that last gap separating the two of you.
Your eyes fluttered shut as that gap closed.
As your lips careened into the chef's, he exhaled heavily through his nose, pulling you up to stand and then closer so you were pressed to his chest, your hands flying to tangle in his hair.
The world around the two of you was a blur as you lost yourselves in each other. Clothes were shoved unceremoniously to the floor as you each tried to pull the other closer. You barely registered Sanji lifting you to sit on the kitchen counter, much less registering when the two of you had even moved from the table to the counter.
"You sure you want me sitting here?" You asked breathlessly, your newfound lover placing kisses down the length of your throat.
His laugh was husky against your throat. "It's a kitchen, darling. All the best meals happen in a kitchen."
That moment was the first of many. You had never regretted sharing a room with Nami more. While there were many kitchen escapades after that first one, the two of you still found a little thrill in having your secret.
You spent time talking as well. You learned about each other. Likes and dislikes, pasts, dreams of the future. Sanji told you about his childhood with Zeff and his quest for the All Blue. You told him of your dream to be a famous poet one day and of your life on the sea.
Something changed along those talking sessions. Something you liked. You wouldn’t call it a friends with benefits situation. You both knew it was something else, something deeper.
Those words were just waiting to be said.
You two would lock eyes at random moments throughout the days and his eyebrow would quirk and you'd look away.
Nights would be spent with each other, sometimes words weren’t even exchanged.
It was bliss.
One afternoon caught the two of you on the lower decks, encased by shadows. You had originally been working on writing down events in the logbook, but your lover had sought you out.
Sanji had you caged up against the wall, kissing you with a fervor. As if you were the last meal he'd ever receive.
He always kissed you like a starving man.
However, you heard Usopp's voice getting closer to your hiding spot, calling for Sanji, and the two of you quickly separated and righted yourselves.
He winked at you as you adjusted your skewed shirt. "You'll tell me more about how that dream of yours went later, right, darling?"
You smirked. "You wouldn't believe half the things I see inside my head."
Sanji grinned, unable to resist capturing your lips in another kiss before slowly pulling away and heading down the hallway.
Nami cornered you later that day.
"You've been hard to find lately." She stated.
You shrugged. "I've been hiding away trying to find a quiet place to work on the log." This was the go to excuse.
And Nami wasn't buying it. "It's been hard to find Sanji too."
Your eyes met her brown ones in questioning silence.
"I knew it." She muttered. "Sanji left his jacket on the floor in the hallway the other night. You do know we're not like other pirates, right? Nobody's gonna care if you two get together. 'Sides, pretty sure the only ones who haven't figured it out are Luffy and Usopp. But that's just a matter of time."
You were flabbergasted. "How in the--"
"You guys aren't very sneaky. Zorro found you two the other day. Plus the jacket."
Of course Zorro would find out first. But knowing that a relationship would be fine was also a relief to hear.
You had just finished telling Nami about your's and the chef's so-called "secret mission" when Sanji brought lunch around a few minutes later. When he got to you, he handed you your food and your logbook. "You left this in the kitchen." And with a wink he walked away.
"He's not even subtle about it." Nami stated.
You laughed. Sanji hadn't been subtle from the moment you met him at the Baratie. He had only stopped calling you 'madame' because you told him it made you feel old.
He had immediately switched to darling, being far too suave and charming for his own good.
You opened up your logbook. It had gotten easier to get back to your job lately. Apparently the dark hallway meetings and late night rendezvous worked perfectly in helping your focus.
You immediately noticed his note.
"Meet me tonight"
You snapped the notebook shut, grinning like a schoolgirl, and Nami only rolled her eyes and shook her head. "You two are the weirdest."
It was late when you began to make your way to the kitchen that night.
He must have been impatient, because you found him waiting down the hallway, still dressed in his suit and necktie.
You never knew blue could feel like fire, but his eyes were smoldering as they met yours. He had you up against the wall in moments, his lips on your own.
He never did anything halfway, it was all or nothing. That thought crossed your mind as you began to lose yourself in the way he kissed you. In the way it was tender and yet passionate. In the way he caught your lip with his own. In the way he would sort of nudge his jaw forward in little movements. In the way his tongue always seemed to ask permission by gently touching your own lips and leading you into deeper and deeper kisses.
You could drown in this man.
The words slipped out in between kisses before you could stop them.
"I love you."
But he just grinned. A smile so bright, were the sun out it would have felt threatened. Remarkably sweet for the heated exchange that had been occuring only seconds prior.
"I love you, too, darling."
And the heat was back. His hands, which had been holding you gently at your hips, slipped to lift you and press you harder into the wall as the passion returned.
Only to come to a screeching halt as someone cleared their throat.
Luffy stood a few feet away, struggling to mask his shock.
"While I'm happy for the two of you, maybe the hallways are not the best for such...activities?" he said.
You both nodded, mildly embarrassed to have been caught.
As your captain disappeared further down the hallway, a laugh bubbled out of you.
Sanji turned to look at you, bewildered.
Grabbing his hand, you led him away. "You heard our captain, gotta go somewhere other than a hallway."
Understanding spread across his face in the way of a knowing smirk. "I completely understand, darling."
I can see you, waiting down the hall for me, I can see you, up against the wall with me.
I can see you, throw your jacket on the floor, I can see you, make me want you even more

Sweet Nothings -- OPLA!Sanji x Reader
I've only seen the Live Action, so this is new for me. I started reading the manga a few hours ago and the anime is bookmarked on my Crunchyroll. But for now, I'm working with what I've got. So this is exclusively the Live Action. Best friends to Lovers Trope cause I wanted to. I'm not entirely happy with how this turned out so I might redo it at some point.
Also, shoutout to @avidanadvocacy who managed to like and reblog this within, like, five seconds of me posting it. They're probably the only reason I sat down and wrote this lol
Warnings: vague mentions of canon typical violence, reader is very cautious of showing the fact they're rather soft (not sure if that counts as a warning or makes sense, I'm tired lol)
No use of y/n, or those weird descriptor things, reader is gender neutral. Reader is however you imagine them

I spy with my little tired eye Tiny as a firefly A pebble that we picked up last July Down deep inside your pocket We almost forgot it Does it ever miss Wicklow sometimes?
You had known Sanji since you were young. You had both been around twelve at the time Zeff took you in, after you had been abandoned rather unceremoniously at the Baratie. You couldn’t remember much about the pirates who had left you behind, not that it mattered to you. You were thankful, even after all the years since, that Zeff had taken you in. You weren’t a skilled cook, but you were diligent and hard working, so you worked as a head waiter.
Having grown up around Sanji, you were used to his…antics. He was a flirt to each and every female customer, but whenever you asked, he would wave you off and laugh about it being how he simply ‘gets the customers to keep coming back.’ And you’d roll your eyes and continue on with your business. He had been your best friend for years. When you had initially met, you had simply clicked and that was that. Nothing to it.
He would make you smile on your worst days and you’d do the same for him. Because that’s what friends do. Right?
The first moment you had doubted that his friendship was just that was the day he lent you his coat.
You had just stopped in the kitchen to drop off orders and take a quick breather. The lunch rush at the Baratie was merciless on a good day.
The winds had shifted earlier in the day and despite the hustle and bustle of the restaurant, a chill passed through you and you shivered.
Within moments, a navy blue suit jacket had been deposited around your shoulders.
You turned to see Sanji grinning at you.
“Wouldn’t do for our favorite waiter to catch cold now, would it?” He said before walking deeper into the kitchen.
You smiled at his retreating form, then slipped your arms into the coat properly and rolled the sleeves so that you’d be able to work.
A bit of time had passed since then, and you stopped to survey the tables around the restaurant, putting your hands into the pockets of Sanji’s jacket.
Your fingers brushed against something and you pulled it out in confusion.
A pebble sat in the palm of your hand. Just as blue as the day you had initially found it two years back.
Zeff had sent you both for supplies and you had spotted it. It was a stunning cerulean blue and you had immediately thought of your best friend. He had told you of the All Blue, and ever since that moment you had associated the color with him. Not every shade of blue, of course, but only the ones that were the most beautiful. One’s that caught the eye and seemed to shimmer.
You had almost forgotten the tiny pebble. But this jacket…Sanji’s favorite. There would be no way he’d be unaware of it being in the pocket.
You put the stone back. Your mind racing.
They said the end is coming Everyone's up to something I find myself running home to your sweet nothings Outside, they're push and shoving You're in the kitchen humming All that you ever wanted from me was sweet nothing
The one thing you didn’t like about the Baratie was the fighting. You knew it was inevitable, especially with pirates. You were old enough now to look past it. It was a fact of life. Sometimes it was genuine fighting, other times customers simply got into little spats that were easier to ignore.
You sighed and wandered into the kitchen. Zeff had stepped out to smooth the wrinkles on whatever argument had broken out. To be entirely honest, the dinner shift had taken it out of you and you were exhausted.
You plopped down in a chair off to the side with another heavy sigh and shut your eyes.
The clink of dishware being set before you and a chair scraping the ground next to you brought you to open your eyes again.
A rice dish sat in front of you, a glass of water next to it. Sanji’s eyes watched you carefully.
“What is it?” You knew the Baratie menu inside and out, and this was definitely not on it.
A signature smile graced his face. “Seafood risotto. Nothing terribly fancy, just terribly good.”
“Does Zeff know about this?” You asked, taking a bite. It was divine.
Blue eyes twinkled. “What the old man doesn’t know won’t hurt him.” Sanji paused, smile fading and voice growing soft. “You seem tired, sweetheart.”
You tried to squash the flutter in your chest. It had been months since you found the pebble in Sanji’s coat, and you had found out that he always carried it. Your heart had run away with that information. And while the blond had called you by the same pet name for years, it felt different now that your affections towards your best friend had shifted. You kept the information to yourself, afraid of change.
So instead you shrugged, continuing to eat. “I guess I’m a little tired? The dining room has kept me on my toes all day and I didn’t sleep very easy last night.”
Sanji’s brows furrow in concern at that. “Well, make sure you finish eating. And try and get some better sleep tonight. For me, yeah?”
You swallowed. He always looked at you so sweetly. Always treated you so differently than the girls he flirted with for good tips. Now he was giving you that small smile, blond hair in his face as always, but the softness in his eyes was unmistakable.
You nodded, “Of course, Sanji.”
Your heart was doing somersaults.
On the way home I wrote a poem You say, "What a mind" This happens all the time
Monkey D Luffy came barrelling into both your lives like a cannonball. One moment life was as it had been for years, the next finds both you and Sanji preparing to leave the Baratie and join the crew of the Going Merry
You weren’t sure why Luffy had insisted you come too. When you had asked him, he had only shrugged with a smile, saying that it had felt like the right thing to do.
So, you made yourself useful where you could. Whether it be helping Sanji, or any of the other Straw Hats.
Luffy had soon after discovered that you enjoyed writing.
It was the day before everything went wrong.
You and Sanji had left the Baratie that afternoon, Zorro was on the road to recovery from his battle against Dracule Mihawk, and everything seemed fine .
A conversation of dreams had even arisen over a meal, and you had shyly mentioned how you enjoyed writing. Not that there was time for it while waiting tables.
Sanji was surprised and intrigued to find a new side of you. You had never mentioned it to him. It was just a silly little hobby in your eyes and, in the life you led, you had always kept those simple things to yourself. Not even sharing them with your best friend.
Luffy, however, had been delighted and immediately asked if you would document the voyage.
Granted, his wording had been more along the lines of “write down our adventures”, but same thing.
Later that night, Sanji had found you on the deck, a new journal in your hand.
“A writer, eh?” He had that soft voice again.
You nodded, refusing to look at him properly. “I want to be a famous poet someday.” You whispered, inwardly afraid of making such an admission.
The years on the Baratie had led you to shove all the soft spoken emotions deep down, gentleness was not a trait most pirates were fond of. But your new captain was the exact opposite, his kindness earning your trust instantly. You knew without a shadow of a doubt that you had found a new and true friend in Luffy.
But you’d never replace Sanji.
Your heart seemed to clench and you opened your mouth to apologize for keeping it from him, but when you looked at him, your breath caught and your voice failed you.
The chef was always sweet on you, but he looked at you in that moment as if you had hung the stars.
“What a mind.” He said quietly, as if he was simply in awe of you.
Unbeknownst to you, Sanji had been looking at you like that for years. There was a reason he called you sweetheart, why you were always the first to try his new creations, why he treated you so differently than all the other girls. A reason why he was so sweet on you.
Everyone could see it. Zorro knew. Nami knew. Usopp knew. Luffy knew. The young captain had made sure to bring you both from the Baratie. If it meant he had to separate the two of you, then Luffy would have never had Sanji come aboard as Chef.
Even Zeff knew. Which was why he had let you both go.
However, you couldn’t see it.
But in that moment, with Sanji looking at you, you were ready to throw it all away. Willing to possibly ruin years of friendship if it just meant you could kiss him once.
'Cause they said the end is coming Everyone's up to something I find myself running home to your sweet nothings Outside, they're push and shoving You're in the kitchen humming All that you ever wanted from me was nothing
Nami’s betrayal had shocked you all to the core. You had only known her for such a short time, but it had still hurt.
Sanji was convinced that her alliance with Arlong wasn’t something she had chosen. Zorro seemed to only see it in black and white, positive that she had made her choice.
Luffy simply wanted to hear the truth from Nami herself. And only then would he believe it.
So the Going Merry was currently sailing for the Conomi Islands just to hear that truth.
It was once again late at night, but sleep would not come. The day’s events play over and over in your mind, keeping you wide awake.
So you headed quietly to the kitchen only to find the light on and an equally awake Sanji sitting quietly with a cup of tea, humming to himself.
You froze. You had almost kissed him the night before, fear holding you back.
But he had already seen you.
“Can’t sleep either, can you, sweetheart?”
You gave up on resisting, going to sit beside him.
Without speaking, he poured you a cup of tea, setting it before you.
“Chamomile. Should help.” Was all he said.
The day had left you both content with each other’s silence as you sat next to each other, shoulders brushing lightly. Sanji eventually went back to humming.
You couldn’t tell if it was the gentle movement of the ship as it sailed, the tea, or even Sanji himself humming softly next to you, but eventually your eyes shut.
Vaguely, you were aware of being carried and eventually set down gently in your hammock.
Something brushed your forehead and you thought you heard Sanji’s voice before you drifted fully into sleep. You felt almost certain it was a kiss, but you were too deep in the fog of sleep to deem that true. It had most likely been your imagination.
“Sweet dreams, sweetheart.”
Industry disruptors and soul deconstructors And smooth-talking hucksters out glad-handing each other And the voices that implore, "You should be doing more" To you, I can admit that I'm just too soft for all of it
The fight against Arlong and his pirates had once again changed everything overnight. You wouldn’t lie, it was terrifying. But you had prevailed. The Straw Hats won in the end. Nami and her village were safe.
It had brought so many things to light for you. As soon as you had all reboarded the Going Merry, you dutifully recorded the events of the day, from the villagers of Coco Village to the fight at Arlong Park, you made your way to the kitchen, needing solace from your best friend.
Your emotions had been bottled the whole day. Yes, fighting was inevitable. You were a pirate, it was simply a fact of life. But you still didn’t like it.
“Sanji?” You called.
The kitchen was empty to your surprise, so you made your way to the deck, finding him by the tangerine trees.
He had the pebble in his hand as you walked up and your heart began to race. He slipped it back into his pocket as he noticed you and you pretended not to see.
Instead you wrapped your arms around his middle, and Sanji instantly returned your hug, holding you close.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
“I don’t know. I think…” you trailed off.
Sanji released you from the hug, but still kept you within his arms. “You know you can tell me anything, right?”
You nodded. “I think…I’m too soft for all this sometimes.” You admitted slowly. “I mean, I can do it, don’t get me wrong. But, Sanji, today was terrifying. And the Grand Line is supposed to be worse.”
That twinkle and smile were back again. “You’re not too soft, sweetheart. You’re perfect. You were strong today, and I know you don’t like fighting. But you’re brave, and you protect those you care about. Being soft doesn’t make you weak.”
“But what if it does?” Your voice dropped to a whisper. “Because–”
You stopped, confessions halting on your lips.
“Because what, sweetheart? Stop hiding yourself, it’s just me.”
“That’s exactly why I’m hiding.”
He frowned in confusion, silently imploring you to continue.
“Because you make me feel soft. I kept my writing to myself because somehow it always ended up being about you. Whether it be the way you look at me or even the fact you kept that pebble.”
His eyebrows shot up in surprise. Apparently he had genuinely thought you hadn’t noticed.
“We’re supposed to be pirates, Sanji. There’s no softness allowed in this profession.”
He gently pulled you a little closer, warm breath now able to be felt on your face as he spoke, “I think we’ve already proven we’re a different sort of pirate than what’s expected, sweetheart.”
You were drowning in an ocean of greyish blue. The little nickname. That tiny sweet nothing. It wore down any and all of the final doubts and reserves in your mind and the two of you melted into each other.
He held you tightly, arms around you as both your hands grabbed tightly to his shirt, the both of you lost in a kiss that seemed like forever.
Eventually it ended, and he rested his forehead gently against yours.
“I’m in love with you, sweetheart.” He said gently. “How’s that for being soft, hmm?”
A small smile formed upon your face. The both of you had been oblivious to the other, yes. But at the same time, all of Sanji’s little sweet nothings over the years–both in words and actions–played quickly through your head. The past week had pulled everything straight to the surface.
“I love you, too.”
All that you ever wanted from me was sweet nothings.
Not entirely happy with this but it's late. Let me know what you think. I'm still new to this fandom, and there's a lot of content that I've yet to learn about. But I'll get there.

Eat at Baratie! - OPLA!Sanji x Fem!Reader
Might do a part two, there might be more of this that comes to mind!
Inspo is from @madmadamemimble who said : "Sanji recognizes reader as a former patron of the baratie a few years back. Why does he remember them? They dined and dashed. On his watch. Zeff. Was. Furious. He still begrudges them for the lengthy month of chore duty he got stuck with as a result. But how could he ever stay mad at someone so beautiful, kind and charming."
Warnings: none? mentions of a dine and dash in the past. Don't do that to your waiters guys :)

You felt yourself tense when your little brother led you all through the fog and towards the Baratie. Normally you didn’t return to places that you had left on a rather…unhappy note. But you also knew that you didn’t stand a chance against Luffy’s appetite.
But maybe the waiter from before wasn’t working there anymore? And the Head Chef and Owner, who you knew to be Red Leg Zeff, had never seen your face. So you knew there was a slight chance you’d make it through this. After all, you didn’t even have a reservation.
You weren’t proud of your prior actions, but back then the simple dine and dash had just been a moment in the wind. You definitely hadn’t planned on returning.
And you definitely weren’t telling your brother.
Growing up two years Luffy’s elder, you made it your own personal mission to look out for him. Especially after Shanks had left. You had taken his departure personally, the pirate genuinely being your father. Luffy had never quite told you how that moment had affected him, it was the one of the few things he had never opened up to you about. But you had seen how much he treasured his hat. He called you his sister though. And you called him your brother.
You and Nami stood more towards the back of the group as Luffy and Usopp attempted to get a table.
“You’re tense.” She pointed out.
Being the only two girls aboard the Going Merry, you liked to think you and Nami were friends.
You lowered your voice. “Don’t tell my brother, but I might have dined and dashed here a few years back.”
Her eyebrows shot up. “You?”
You nodded. “Took a few months a few years back to see what I could. I felt restless back home, and Luffy wasn’t quite ready to head for the Grand Line. I wound up here, hungry and broke. I feel bad for the waiter, if I’m honest. He was…charming, and easy on the eyes.”
Nami smirked, a quick laugh passing through her nose. “Well then, maybe he’s still working here.” She walked over to the host and pulled some Berry from her pouch. “Excuse those two, they’re idiots.”
“Nami!” You were floored. Had she not been listening when you said you had dined and dashed?
“Relax, you said it yourself, it’s been years.”
You groaned as you followed the group to the table, seating yourself between Nami and Zoro, trying to vanish into the booth.
“Are you okay?” Luffy asked, not quite sure what to make of your antics but concerned none the less.
You kicked Nami in the shin under the table as she opened her mouth.
“I’m fine. Just tired.” You told your brother, reluctantly sitting up.
There was a shout a ways away, toward the entrance to the kitchens. You couldn’t quite tell what was happening from your angle, but you recognized the accented voice that followed.
“No cause for alarm folks, return to your meals.”
Your gaze fused itself to the tablecloth.
A basket of bread was set on the table.
“Hi, welcome to our shitty restraunt where the only thing worse than the ambiance is our food. My name is Sanji, what can I get for you?”
You frowned, looking up.
It was the same man from the last time you were here, but the charm was…missing. Odd.
Luffy had dug into the bread with joy. “One of everything please!”
Sanji glanced at your brother. “Anything to drink? Perhaps one of our signature cocktails to help you choke down your meal?”
Your eyebrows shot up.
“Wow. Giving us the hard sell.” Nani’s voice was sarcastic and rather deadpan.
It was like a switch had been flipped. Sanjis eyes flickered from Nami to you and seemed to linger.
“Apologies, madames, I didn’t see you there. Would you care for an aperitif to start? We have several rare Micqueot vintages in stock. Or perhaps a glass of Umeshu? You know, something sweet for someone sweet.”
The wink that followed was obviously directed at you and you felt your cheeks warm despite the situation. You returned your gaze to the table.
“Something wrong with your eye?” Nami questioned.
Sanji merely smiled. “Just blinded by beauty.”
You heard Nami order the both of you plain waters and the receding footsteps of your waiter.
As soon as he was out of earshot, the boys started giggling at the obvious flip to his personality. You rolled your eyes and nudged Zoro to let you out of the booth.
“I’mma get some air.” You muttered lamely.
The open air bar was cooler than the dining room, you noticed as you leaned against the railing.
“You caused me quite the bit of trouble the last time you were here. I trust you don’t plan on pulling such a stunt again?”
The blond was at your side, resting his forearms on the railing, a lit cigarett dangling from his fingertips.
“I have berry.”
He raised a brow, taking a drag. “And you didn’t before I take it.”
You shook your head. “Not at the time. I’m sorry about that by the way. I didn’t mean to get you into any trouble with Zeff.”
“It wasn’t too bad,” he smiled, grey blue eyes meeting yours. “Just a month’s worth of extra kitchen chores. Honestly, Zeff could have done much worse. I think, that as long as it doesn’t happen again, we’ll be alright.”
“We?”
“I trust you’ll be docked while your ship receives repairs, and I’d love a chance to get to know a lady as charming as yourself.”
You laughed. Something about him was enthralling. You couldn’t tell if it was the charm, the accent, the smile, the way his hair fell in his face, or even just the way he looked. Something about him reeled you in like a fish on a line.
“Maybe a drink after my shift?” He asked, hopefully.
“I’d like that, Sanji.” You said with a smile.
“Ah, and the beautiful lady blesses me with a drink. I should get back to work, I’ll see you later then?”
“Yeah, I should be getting back to my brother.”
“Until later, then.”
You smiled as he walked away, back into the dining room. Maybe coming back to the Baratie was a good idea after all.

Heat of the Moments - Dan Avidan x Reader
This is based off that second dream I had about Danny.
Also I’m tagging the people who liked that post in case they were interested.
Anywho, as per usual. No Ashley. I’m not including her in any of my Danny Fic
The way I had to google the weirdest stuff for this lol. I’m going to try to be writing more, it keeps me calm and wedding stress is driving me nuts since it’s only a month away. ANYWAYS. So while requests aren’t technically open, I’m totally cool with being sent fic ideas for the characters I typically write for. Who knows? Maybe I’ll be inspired
Warnings: Swearing, mentions of anxiety, mentions of being led on
Word Count: 2610 (gosh dang. good job me!)
Comments are always appreciated! I love hearing y’alls brain thoughts after reading lol.

Two years. It had been two years working for Game Grumps. Quite honestly, it had been one of the best years of your life. You had always been fascinated by the Youtube Gaming community, and you were grateful to finally be a part of it. Granted, you were mainly putting your art and animation talents to the test, but knowing what it all went toward was more than enough. You were more than content to live as you were.
However, it was not without its challenges. Outside of the fact that you were doing what you loved, over the last half couple months it had begun feeling rather tense-ish with a certain coworker. Well, tense for you at least.
Dan Avidan, Game Grumps host, musician extraordinaire, and coworker had been seeming rather…flirtatious? Was that a good way to put it?
Yes, you supposed it was. It was one of those things, however, where it’s such casual flirtatious comments that you can’t tell if he’s actually hitting on you or not. If you thought about each moment from different angles, you genuinely couldn’t tell if he was being flirty or friendly.
Moment No. 1
It had been a Monday morning and everyone had seemed to have a case of the Monday Morning Blues. It had rained all weekend and everyone seemed to have that bleary eyed sleepiness. Even Arin was having a bit of trouble bringing what he called his “Internet Funny Man” energy to the office that morning. The weather seemed to be making everyone feel sleepy.
And you were certainly no exception. You stood in the kitchen, in front of the Keurig, just staring into the nonexistent void as you waited for your coffee.
A light touch on your arm startled you out of your stupor and you found a mildly concerned looking Dan at your side.
“Oh, hey, sorry. What’s up?” You asked lamely, unsure of how long he had been standing there.
Dan’s brown eyes furrowed in confusion. “You didn’t hear what I said, did you?”
You just shook your head.
The confusion vanished as it turned into mirth. “That’s alright,” he smiled, “you seemed like you were witnessing the depths of the abyss for a second, so I just wanted to make sure you were alright.”
A light chuckle escaped you. “I can’t say much for right now, but if you give the coffee a few minutes, I’ll be good. It’s just a case of the Mondays.”
“Good, wouldn’t want my favorite animator succumbing to madness. Talk to you later, sunshine.”
And with a quick pat on the shoulder, he was gone. Leaving you alone in the kitchen wondering what the hell just happened.
Moment No. 2
Late. Late. Late. You were oh so terribly late. You somehow managed to sleep right through your alarm and were now rushing to work. Not good.
Granted, you were only going to be fifteen minutes late, and you also knew Arin would understand and no one would mind. However, it still sent you rushing around in a state of panic.
You hurried into the office with a relieved sigh. As you sat down at your desk, you let out a frustrated sigh.
Brian raised an eyebrow from his spot across from you.
“You good?”
Shoving the frustration to the side, you smiled. “Yeah, just ran late and skipped breakfast, then left lunch on the counter. It happens, but this is what DoorDash is for right?”
Brian gave you a concerned look that only a father could manage. “Just make sure you eat something.”
“Yes, sir, Ninja Brian, sir.” You gave him a mock salute before tucking yourself into today’s work, unaware that another set of ears had heard the exchange.
After a few hours, you stood to stretch and take a quick restroom break. Upon returning to your desk, however, there was now a take out bag resting next to your computer.
You blinked. The restaurant was familiar, it was close by and also an office favorite, so it wasn’t uncommon for take out to be seen around the office.
But you hadn’t ordered lunch from anywhere yet.
You peered inside the bag, immediately catching sight of the blue sticky note.
Hey!
Heard you missed breakfast, so I grabbed you some lunch!
This one’s on me, so don’t sweat it.
♥️ Danny.
You stared at the little heart. Not only had Dan bought you lunch, he had also signed it with a heart.
What was going on. Was he into you?
Moment No. 3
It wasn’t very often that you got to sit in on a Ten Minute Power Hour, but when you did it was always a blast.
So you were crammed off screen next to Allie, watching the guys try and do a Draw My Life but with their friendship over the years.
Arin was red in the face from laughing. “What is that?!” he wheezed.
Throwing up his hands in exasperation, Dan exclaimed, “IT’S LINK! CAN’T YOU TELL BY THE HAIR?”
Cue the entire room dying.
This only spurred on Dan’s frustration. “Someone come fix this!” He threw his marker down and stood, walking over to the background shelves to dramatically sulk.
Arin only laughed harder and waved you over. “Come help him out, cause I can’t think right now.”
You hesitated for a moment. Watching on the sidelines was one thing but actually being on camera and involved in an episode like this wasn’t something you had prepared for.
Allie nudged you gently and you stood. You were an artist, it was essentially what you did for a living and had been doing your whole life. So why were your hands sweating.
As you grabbed the marker and surveyed Dan’s disaster of a drawing, you spoke. “It’s not that bad. I mean, it’s not good, but its salvageable.”
You quickly erased the stick-figure Link’s hair as Dan pulled away from the shelves to watch you work.
“This is the only Get Outta Jail card you’re getting, dude.” Arin said, grinning.
“I’ll take it, man. This is a nightmare.”
You laughed and shook your head as you finished redrawing the hair and added a little sword in the figure’s hand.
“There we go!” You stepped back and quickly rejoined Allie, anxious to be out of the momentary spotlight.
“Hey! It looks like Link!” Dan grinned at you. “Thanks, lovely!”
Your heart stuttered against your will. “Anytime.” You said, covering up your momentary malfunction.
Lovely. Granted, Dan called the fans “lovelies” but something about the way he had just said it was different than how he addressed the fans. You had to force yourself to not think about it. To not play into the way your heart was slowly starting to formulate a crush. You were just reading into things.
Moment No. 4
It wasn’t unusual to find yourself working on a quick little Grumps animation for one of the videos. Every now and then, Arin asked if you could make a little one to slip into a video, never anything super long. Just long enough to keep people entertained. He tended to use them as intermissions of a sort, in case they got interrupted by something mid video.
You had just finished one up and were going over it to double check on everything when someone leaned over you.
“What’cha working on?” Danny asked, looking at your screen with curiosity.
You felt your palms go clammy at the close proximity, but hid it well.
“Just a short animation for one of the recent recordings.” You explained. “Wanna see?”
Dan gave an excited nod and you handed him your headset, trying (and failing) to not watch how he brushed his hair out of his face.
It had been a little bit since the Ten Minute Power Hour moment and you were still warring with the fact that you might have a crush on the lanky musician.
Dan braced one hand on your desk and the other on the back of your chair, “Show me what you got.”
As you hit play on the animation, the only thing you could think of was those stupid cliche moments in novels where the guy leans on the girl’s desk because this was exactly how you pictured it looking and feeling like. Your palms went from a nervous clammy to an anxiety sweaty. Or somewhere in between, you couldn’t tell.
You were very aware of the way he was leaning over you and you swore you could smell him. He had a very faint woodsy scent to him, you couldn’t tell if it was a cologne or if it was just him. A lock of unruly hair brushed against your shoulder and it took everything into you to keep pretending to watch the video.
Eventually it was over and your headset was handed back to you.
“That was really good!” He was smiling at you. “Is that for the ‘technical difficulties’ from yesterday?”
The air quotes he put up when he said technical difficulties had you laughing.
“If you mean when the resident ghost knocked over the shelf,” You said. “Then yes.”
Dan’s smile was infectious as he leaned closer and dropped his voice. “It was the ghost of all the games we never finished finally coming back to haunt us.”
You both laughed.
“Anyways, I was just curious to what you were up to. It looks really good, you’ve got an insane amount of talent.”
And the war was lost. Because with just that sentence, you knew you had a major crush.
Moment No. 5
The next moment didn’t even happen at work. You weren’t even around him at the moment.
All you had done was throw a quick pic of a work in progress up on your instagram. It hadn’t even been up for ten minutes before you got a comment notification.
@dannyavidan : This looks so good! I’ve got to get you to do a piece for NSP someday!
You stared at the comment. Dan wanted you to do a piece for his band?
You don’t know how long you sat there thinking. Eventually, a ding sounded and you checked your instagram again.
Dan had messaged you.
Dan: Hey! I was totally serious about having you do a piece for the band! We’ve got a new project coming up and I would love to have someone as talented as you on the team for it!
You: Seriously?
Dan: You wound me! Of course. You put a lot of effort into what you do and it’s really good. Why? Dost the fair maiden think I jest? 😆
Your fingers hesitated briefly before responding, your heart and brain going a million miles an hour. Yes, he was being kinda dorky, but it was endearing.
You: I’ll think about it. But it shouldn’t be a problem. 😀
A few hours passed and you were scrolling through Instagram before bed. Just a few minutes and you’d go to sleep, it was a weekend night after all. Flicking through stories, you almost passed NSP’s insta story.
“Guess who may have just gotten the coolest animator ever to do a video!”
Whelp. There went any hope for sleep.
Present.
It had taken a lot of internal thinking, panicking, and general theorizing over the past few month for you to finally make up your mind.
But all the past moments had you sure of your crush on Dan. And, after confiding in a longtime friend, you were sure he felt the same. It couldn’t be a coincidence.
So you had decided to take the plunge. You were going to take the initiative. You were going to ask him out.
And the thought almost left you breathless.
But as you walked into work that morning, ruminating over the past few months, you mustered your determination and found Dan in the kitchen area.
“Morning,” you greeted him, smiling.
He gave a little wave and continuing making his tea. There was a pretty large recording session for the guys that morning.
“Can I ask you something?” You said, not giving yourself a chance to abort the mission at hand.
Dan nodded.
“Would you wanna go on a date this Friday? With me?” And there it was.
He froze.
A moment passed. Then another. And a third.
And both your heart and stomach went through the floor.
Dan finally spoke, his voice coming out strained. “Um, listen…”
You held both your hands up. “No, it’s cool, I misinterpreted. It’s fine. You don’t need to answer. I’ll see you around the office, ‘kay?”
And you bolted without giving him a moment to even try to respond.
You felt sick. The rug under your feet was gone and the tears pricking your eyes were starting to sting from you trying to hold them back. You made a beeline for the Power Hour room, knowing it’d be empty and you collapsed onto the Grump Couch.
You took a deep breath and let them slip silently down your face.
You felt like such an idiot. Yes, Dan had seemed like he was flirting, but obviously it hadn’t truly been that way.
You heard the door open and close softly and you jumped up to see Arin standing there.
“You okay? Need to talk about whatever it is?” he asked, genuinely concerned.
You sat back down and wiped your eyes with a shaky breath.
“It’s nothing. I just misinterpreted signals and it’s on me,” you admitted. “Mistook friendliness as flirtiness, that’s all.”
“Was someone leading you on?” He asked, seating himself next to you.
So he must’ve not seen you get rejected by Dan, becaused he sounded like a concerned older brother who was about ready to fight someone.
You shook your head. Dan didn’t even seem capable of something like that.
“It honestly was just a misunderstanding. With any luck we’ll just both forget it ever happened and things will just go back to normal.”
The door opened again, albeit a lot less gently than it had when Arin entered.
“Hey, I didn’t—”
You stared at Dan like a deer in headlights and you knew that he was looking at the tears on your face.
Arin stood. “Alright you two, play nice and get this sorted out.” He said, shaking his head as he left the room, closing the door behind him.
A awkward pause, and then Dan was sitting next to you.
“Shit, I’m so sorry, I did not mean to make you cry. You must think I’m such an ass.” He rambled. “I didn’t mean to sound like I was rejecting you at all. God, I must’ve sounded like a jerk.”
You said nothing, staring at him. Your silence urging him to continue.
“I wasn’t expecting you to ask me out first, and you caught me with a giant piece of turkey in my mouth and I was trying to find a way to tell you that there was way too much food in my mouth but you were already gone. I am so sorry.”
“You weren’t expecting me to…” your words failed you.
“No, not at that moment,” Dan looked away, suddenly going from panicked to rather shy. “I honestly was still trying to get enough courage to ask you.”
A moment of charged silence passed as you both mulled over your thoughts.
“So, will you…?” Dan trailed off.
You snapped your gaze to meet his brown eyes.
“Will I…”
“Would you go out with me? This Friday? Seven o’clock?” He asked, nervousness, uncertainty and hope in his eyes.
You grinned, ignoring the way that tears once more tried to make an appearance. “I’d love to.”
Dan’s eyes sparkled in response.

When You’re Focusing - Dan Avidan x Reader
So the other day, I wound up taking a nap and had a dream about this and it was just one of those dreams that’s just so vivid and real. Like, color and touch and sound, the whole shabang. So here’s the dream in fanfic format <3 My dream didn’t take place in the old office, but it was still a kitchen and since there hasn't been a new office tour, we’re just gonna have it be the old kitchen/kinda bar looking area. I kept this exactly as it was in my dream <3
Also, Ashley doesn’t exist in this, I will never include her in any Danny x Reader. Ever.
Might write more if people would like to see more.
Warnings: Swearing, secret relationships, takeout with its own ecosystem, age gap

“Dude, no, it fucking sucks! It’s impossible!”
If anyone had ever told you that you would one day be sitting with the people you looked up to most, much less working and learning as a part of their business, you would have said that they were crazy. Granted, sometimes dreams do come true, but this one always felt too out there when you considered it.
And yet there you were, with your Nintendo Switch in hand, sitting at a counter with Dan Avidan and Arin Hansen, arguing over Breath of the Wild. It was nice to finally feel like you were comfortable to just hang around them. Being around the well known members of the Grumps team had given you massive anxiety at first, yet as the months went on, you couldn’t imagine life without them anymore.
You rolled your eyes and continued on with your game, the Trials of the Sword weren’t the easiest, but you were infinitely more patient than Arin was. For the moment at least.
Dan leaned across the counter to watch your screen as you fought your way smoothly through the game, nodding appreciatively. “I don’t know, man. She’s crushing it so far.”
You glanced up, your gaze meeting warm brown eyes.
Arin huffed and turned to the fridge, digging through it, occasionally pulling something out only to dismiss it and keep looking.
You quickly progressed through the level, aware that Dan was still watching you. You looked up at him again. Had he leaned in more?
Arin’s back was still to the both of you, he was now rattling off the items he was pulling out, commenting about a forgotten take out box.
Dan’s own back was towards his friend as he leaned just a little more across the counter, those brown eyes of his flicking towards your lips then back up.
You felt your eyes close as he pressed his lips to yours. You could feel the scratch of his stubble against your face. The feeling of his slightly chapped lips as well.
There was a brief flash of fear through you as you remembered Arin was right there. But the thought was gone almost  as quickly as it arrived.
Dan pulled back at the sound of Arin’s loud exclaim.
“We have got to be throwing this shit away. There’s another box in here but it’s got its own ecosystem! Look at this!”
Dan jumped away from him, “Arin, that’s disgusting.” He laughed.
The kiss, while not the first, had taken you by complete surprise. You pulled your scrambled brain together quickly and made a look of absolute horror at the old takeout in Arin’s hands.
“That’s so gross, dude.”
Arin sniffed it, pulling back immediately. “I’m tossing this in the outside bin.”
As soon as he was gone, Dan was in front of you again, brown eyes now twinkling.
“What part of ‘we’re not telling anyone we’re dating yet’ took a vacay, Danny? Had Arin turned around, we would have been caught.” You scolded softly.
The both of you had agreed to keep your relationship a secret, and not just cause it was fairly new. You were eighteen years apart, 25 to his 43. And while neither of you cared, you were more than well aware of how it would look to others.
Dan grinned. “Couldn’t help it, sunshine. You’re so cute when you’re focusing.”
You rolled your eyes as he leaned in again, obliging him in another kiss.
If anyone’s interested in my other Danny fix, it’s quite a bit longer and can be found over here!

This was a request from @creat0r-cat
You sent me a request on Monday and I didn’t check my Tumblr for a few days so oopise! Sorry about that! Also, my aro/ace ass completely lost the plot and for that I apologize. But, I got excited and cranked this out in a few hours, and it’s now 3 am. I hope that, even if it’s not the fic you were aiming for, it’s at the very least amusing and the cameos and references keep everyone entertained!
The request was for a female reader, but this actually wound up coming out without pronouns, so it’s totes Gender Neutral

“Come on, it could be fun. We could have an adventure! Maybe fall in love!”
It had been a few years since you had been told those words. Granted, you remembered it perfectly.
The heist you had been on. The way you had wound up in the temple tunnel system. Meeting Illinois. Ditching Mark–granted, while you admit that hadn’t been kind, something in your mind said that he deserved it. That thought probably stemmed from getting dragged around on his stupid heist.
Mark had done a lot of things that rubbed your brain wrong. Almost as if he had done something in the past that you couldn’t quite remember.
Either way, you had been glad to be rid of him. You had much better adventures now! Illinois was a much better adventure partner.
 Except for one tiny detail.
Illinois was a huge flirt.
You had been on adventure after adventure with him. An inseparable pair since you both discovered the monkey heaven. You had gotten the feeling that he was a flirt when you first met him, but it never bugged you when he flirted with you. You had liked the attention. Plus he always seemed to pay a little extra attention to you. It always seemed more genuine.
Like he felt something for you.
And you clung to that. The hope that the dashing, devil-may-care adventurer felt something stronger than the everyday run of the mill platonic affection for you.
But that hope had dwindled over the years.
And as you sat in some strange diner and listened to Illinois flirt with the bright haired waitress, you wondered if you had been reading into everything. If you had read into his flirty personality. Or, god forbid, you had been friend zoned and were just too dumb to realize it.
"And it was such a strange place!" He was recounting the most recent of your adventures. "The entire temple was ice cold, and made of metal! I did find a sarcophagus with quite the lovely and/or handsome mummy! Granted, we were busy working on an escape so I didn't have time for it's ancient curses and I left it be."
You remembered that. The entire situation had made your head hurt. That had been why you two had been looking for an escape. You had refused to look at the mummy, the entire ordeal had only made you feel like you used to when you were around Mark: like there was something happening, but you weren't supposed to know about it. A real migraine.
The waitress looked disappointed at the fact that there was no fun mummy story to be heard. She shot what looked like an annoyed glance in your direction. You rolled your eyes and turned your attention to your food, something called a Warfstache Deluxe Sandwich. The name had gotten your attention, and, for some reason, the sandwich itself was on pink bread and shaped like a mustache. You decided not to ask and ate it anyways.
You tuned out Illinois' conversation as you ate, you had grown used to ignoring his constant flirting with anything that had legs.
You jolted to attention to the sound of your name. Illinois was looking at you, mild concern etched into his features.
"You doin' alright there, honey?" He had that smile on his face. The smile that was somewhere between a smirk and a grin.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Illinois." You forced a smile. You briefly wondered how long he had been  trying to get your attention.
"How's the head?"
"Good. Food helped." You gestured to your almost gone sandwich.
Illinois nodded, satisfied with the answer. He grabbed a napkin and started to draw out what looked like a map. You watched on with a curiosity. You had become accustomed to his eccentric ways and knew he would tell you the purpose in a moment.
"So," he began once he finished drawing. "The waitress told me about a journal where whatever is written in it has to happen. It's currently in the possession of some author with a weird obsession with mysteries. Honestly, that's too much power for one man. Sort of thing that should be in a museum, or destroyed, don't'cha think? Who knows what could happen if something like that got into the wrong hands."
Well, that hadn't been in the plans at all. After the failed adventure on the frozen temple, Illinois had promised that the next adventure would be to follow up rumors of some mystical potato salad that held the answers to the universe and was guarded by an advanced automaton. But apparently, that wasn't happening.
A weird feeling passed through you. Exhaustion? Annoyance? You couldn't tell.
"Alright." Your words were clipped, an angry edge to them. "Well, you two have fun then."
Illinois had obvious confusion written across his features.
"You. And her. On your adventure." You stood.
He opened and shut his mouth repeatedly, as if searching for words he couldn't find.
You took a deep breath, steeling your nerves. "I like you, Illinois. A lot. So I have grin and beared when you flirt with anyone and everyone. But throwing out an adventure you promised me for a suggestion from a waitress you've only known for an hour is too much. So have fun looking for your journal. I'm out."
And before he could argue, you turned on your heel and left the diner.
A few weeks had gone by. Due to the fact you weren't adventuring with Illinois, you had to pick up another job. There weren't many options, there was no way you were going to reach out to Mark, so you wound up working for a pair of eccentric twin reporters--the Jims as they called themselves. Although sometimes you swore there were more than two of them.
But they paid you weirdly well and didn't have you do much more than bring them the oddest coffee orders, so you didn't complain much.
But, boy oh boy, did you miss Illinois and his adventures. A part of you kept hoping he would show up and sweep you off your feet with that smile of his.
You hadn't realized how much it had all meant to you until the frustration and anger had worn off. The Jims had even commented on your sudden forlornness. They went so far as to even suggest that you go look for the "man with the snappy rope" as they called him.
But Illinois didn't want you. That much was clear.
Or so you thought.
It had been a few days after the talk about the "snappy rope man". You had walked into the TV station with yet another absurd coffee order, only for yelling to be heard.
Granted it wasn't uncommon. There was often the distant sound of yelling throughout the building. The Jims said it was simply a crazed talk show host and not to worry about that. But you had yet to hear the yelling in your usual area of the station.
"Tell me where they are!" Someone was yelling.
"Drop the shooty and get off the table! Jim and I don't care if you're the snappy rope man or not! Right, Jim?"
"Right, Jim! Besides that's not the shooty table, it's the snack table! Now get down!"
You sighed and walked further into the room, that way you'd be able to see what was actually going on.
Only to find Illinois standing on a table with his whip in one hand and a gun in the other.
His eyes caught yours from across the room and a smile stretched across both your faces.
They say a smile can speak a thousand words, but this one radiated love and yet begged for forgiveness.
And, somehow, you knew that all was going to be right in the world again.

Kingdom Come - Asra x Reader (request)
So the original request was for fluff. But….Oopsies. I wrote angst! ALSO! Not only did this take me months I am so so sorry, but my browser kept crashing when I sat down tonight to finish it and I also absolutely lost all direction. This is not my favorite thing I’ve written and for that I do apologize, but I hope someone enjoys it.

Steal my heart and hold my tongue
I feel my time, my time has come
Let me in, unlock the door
I've never felt this way before
The devil was a monster. Everything had been so perfect before the plague. Then Asra had lost you. His soulmate. His other half. Now in more ways than one.
When the plague took you it had destroyed him. Those moments on the Lazaret with his knees in the sand were this worst moments of his life. Nothing else came close to the pain he felt in that moment.
How does one live on without their soulmate?
He wasn’t about to find out.
So he made the deal to get you back. It cost him half of his heart but it would be worth it, right? After all, you’d be in his arms again.
But no. The devil took the thing that tied your hearts together. The minute you returned to the land of the living, Asra knew that he had been played. The little red string that once linked the two of you together was nowhere to be seen on you. And his own remained frayed and torn.
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummer begins to drum
I don't know which way I'm going
I don't know which way I've come
It was hard to stay around you at times. He loved you so much but you had no idea. Years of being together and in love had to be swept under a rug as if they had never happened. He would honestly rather do that then see you in the pain that remembering brought.
So he would leave. For the oasis. The magicians realm. His little house in Nopal. Anywhere but the place he truly called home.
He knew it hurt you that he kept leaving. But it didn’t hurt as bad as staying in the same place where there was once so much love.
You couldn’t handle the pain of your own memories, but he would wait. He would wait as long as it took. He knew it would break his heart to let you go, but if it was your own choice, he would do it. He didn’t own you. Red string of fate or not. You were your own person with your own choices.
But he would wait.
Hold my head inside your hands
I need someone who understands
I need someone, someone who hears
For you, I've waited all these years
Nadia had shown up while he was gone. He should’ve been there. The palace required a magician and while Asra knew that you were more than capable of incredible feats, he still had that urge to protect and defend you at all times. It was a soulmates urge, he couldn’t help it. He wished he had been home.
He had left you with his tarot deck, he should have known the moment you pulled the High Priestess that something was coming.
Nadia’s request of a court magician set off a spiral of events. After speaking with you in the fountain, he knew it was all beginning to unravel.
He just hoped you would be alright. It was in moments like that he thought of his parents. They had been soulmates as well. Well, granted their situation had been a bit more on the normal side compared to the bond between the two of you.
He asked if you were ready to remember. Telling you his fears of your memories harming you beyond repair. Keeping the knowledge that if he lost you again he'd lose himself too.
For you I'd wait 'til kingdom come
Until my day, my day is done
And say, you'll come and set me free
Just say, you'll wait, you'll wait for me
You had turned down the opportunity to remember. You knew there was more to the past, but that door would unlock itself in its own time. You could wait.
Asra had felt his own selfish relief at that. You would wait. And, as always, he would wait with you.
He felt his selfishness rear up again when you were alone in Nopal.
But then the beetles had shown. The beetles as red as that missing string. Almost as if they were taunting him with their hue. A cruel joke.
But, he would wait for you to remember. The string may not reappear. but he would wait until the end of time if he had to.
It had all escalated after that. The situation was no longer in his hands-or anyone else’s for that matter.
In your tears and in your blood
In your fire and in your flood
I hear you laugh, I heard you sing
I wouldn't change a single thing
It felt like it all came crashing down on the sands of the Lazaret. The exact spot it had begun at.
"I dug until my fingers bled. And all I could find was charred bone and ash."
It all came tumbling out of his mouth as memories tumbled into your mind.
String of Fate or not. The time to wait was over. You had Asra and Asra had you.
The World seemed to know this as well. Maybe it had just been waiting for this moment because it seemed to begin to race towards the end.
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummers begin to drum
I don't know which way I'm going
I don't know what I'll become
The path Asra and you followed led you not only to a very furious Lucio who managed to steal your body, but also to the fifteenth Major Arcana himself.
A Major Arcana who had in his possession a very particular item.
A very precious red string.
People will sometimes say that the Devil is in the details. In certain moments, however, the Devil controls the details.
And beating the Devil at his own game was no easy feat.
All Asra could picture was fragments of why it was worth it. Why you both had to travel to the Devil’s realm. Why this fight was so important. Why he had to keep going and not give up.
It was all for you. It had only ever been for you. There would never be a reason greater or stronger. No power in existence could separate him and you. No matter what. It was an undying love.
And when the two of you stood back in your little shop, with the Devil trapped in stone back in his own realm, and a simple red string connecting the both of you, he knew that waiting for you was worth it.
For you I'd wait 'til kingdom come
Until my days, my days are done
And say you'll come and set me free
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me

Hawks x Reader - War of Hearts
This was inspired by kiwimeg.cos on tiktok who did a Hawks cosplay for a Soulmate AU! I fell in love with the idea and have been dying to write something for Hawks. I did my best to keep it as spoiler free as possible, also because I myself am not entirely caught up lol. This is also my first time writing for Hawks. My ask box is open right now if anyone has any ideas

They say when you meet your soulmate, you can see parts of the future you’ll have together. Only snippets, nothing major. But you’ll feel the joy and the emotions that that future will bring.
However, it’s very rare for such a thing to be found. Especially for Pro Heroes. They’re always so busy saving the world that they miss their chance to find their soulmate. And, sometimes, a soulmate may give up waiting to find them. No one ever said Fate was kind, after all.
Come to me in the night hours
I will wait for you
I can’t sleep and thought devour
Thoughts of you consume
It was the nights that Hawks couldn’t sleep. It was actually every night pretty much, but when insomnia came to visit it all became heavier on his mind.
If there was two things No. 2 Hero Hawks wanted most in life it was, well, to be a good hero obviously, but he also wanted to meet his soulmate. His parents hadn't been soulmates, and that hadn't ended well for anyone. He knew that Endeavor and his wife hadn't been soulmates either, and look how that turned out. Granted, not very many people were entirely aware of that situation but everybody talks.
He hadn't met very many people who were in fact soulmates. And none who he would be able to ask about it. The Hero Commission had never let him ask his questions and had all but banned him to speak of soulmates at all.
And yet it hadn't stopped his wandering mind and yearning heart.
After all, you can take the kid from the fight but you can't take the fight out of the kid.
I can't help but love you
Even though I try not to
I can't help but want you
I know that I'd die without you
The Commission had cracked down on him once he hit the No 2 Hero spot. There was so much of him that he felt that they didn't want. He was tired. He didn't feel entirely like himself anymore. They wanted a pretty boy to make them look good and do their bidding.
A bird in a gilded cage was what he was.
It was hard, and it hurt. There were days when it was almost too much to bear. Days when he yearned- sometimes to the point where there was an ache in his chest- to have someone to share it with.
He needed his soulmate like he needed food and water and air. Life felt pointless and exhausting. It held no meaning when it was empty and painful. So many nights he laid awake thinking about just up and leaving. Leaving everything behind, the Commission, being a hero, everything.
But something said stay.
And so he did.
Stay with me a little longer
I will wait for you
Shadows creep
And want grows stronger
Deeper than the truth
It got to a point, eventually, where the pain and loneliness was just a state of being. He was only 22. By now, anyone who was meant to find their soulmate had usually already found them and the rest were numbing the pain with other vices.
At least that's what he had been told. He was tired. And he didn't want some "other vice" to numb the pain and exhaustion. He wanted the cure. He needed his soulmate. He didn't know a person could ache so much in their heart. Didn't know you could be so desperate for someone you had never met.
He had a mission that day. He was getting a new side kick. Honestly it seemed a little frustrating. He was too mentally exhausted to want to bother answering a bunch of questions. It just wasn't worth it.
But, it was his job, so he had to.
He strolled into the building with his hands in his pockets and his usual nonchalant vibe.
"Hawks, buddy! Come meet your new sidekick."
He forced a smile and offered his hand.
"Nice to meet--"
I can't help but be wrong in the dark
'Cause I'm overcome in this war of hearts
I can't help but want oceans to part
'Cause I'm overcome in this war of hearts
It was you. He could see it.  Snippets of a future he had until now only dreamed of. You and him staying up talking and laughing. Keeping each other safe despite the difficulties that hero life brought. You stealing his sunglasses on more than one occasion. Your smile. Shared joy. A wedding ring. That happy slice of forever.
It was with you. You were who he had been longing for. The one he needed in his life. The person he had been saving all his love for. All he was. All he was going to be. It was all for you.
They say the stars feel like they align when you meet your soulmate. They say that it feels like the earth stands still and the universe holds it's breath. They said it's better than a fairytale. They call it true love. They call it magic. They call it so many things but the truth is that it's not easily explained. Its one of those things you have to experience to understand. Otherwise, the words are empty.
I can't help but love you
Even though I try not to
I can't help but want you
I know that I'd die without you
And in that small moment, you saw your future with him. Joyous, bright, everything you'd ever wanted and more. The things you'd wanted and believed in since you were a child. Barely a moment had passed and you knew you'd never be able to live without the man in front of you. He was your everything in less than a moment. Your reason for existing.
It was him. It would always be him.
I can't help but be wrong in the dark
'Cause I'm overcome in this war of hearts
I can't help but want oceans to part
'Cause I'm overcome in this war of hearts
They say when you find your soulmate you feel as if you could fly.
Who knew that they meant it literally.

Evermore - Yancy x Reader
This one’s for Millie! It’s totally inspired by her TikTok on the idea that this song was made for Yancy and Viewer/Reader. And I have to say I completely agree. A part of me wants to rewrite it though for a few of the different egos and make it different each time. I might do that...
And oopsies...first fanfic in a while and I just had to make it angsty. Heh, sorry. But hey, there’s a happy ending!
Word count: 1.4k
It’s my first time writing a gender neutral reader, so lemme know if I missed something and I’ll fix it right up.
Here’s the Darkiplier version!
Keep an eye on the masterlist!
Tumblr media
I was the one who had it all
I was the master of my fate
I never needed anybody in my life
I learned the truth too late
He had lured himself into delusion. As much as he loathed to admit, he knew, deep down, that it was true. Sure, life in the prison was easy peasy lemon squeezy. But it wasn’t until you arrived that he began to think otherwise. He began to question the life inside Happy Trails Penitentiary and began to wonder what amenities the outside world could hold.
He knew that the outside world was difficult. Harder. Nothing out there would ever just be handed to you. You had to drive yourself as far as you possibly could to simply survive. It was so much easier in prison.
But you. You had been so eager to leave. To get back to HQ with that box of yours. To make sure that friend of yours was okay.
Yancy still thought the guy was douchey. Just one of those faces, ya know?
I’ll never shake away the pain
I close my eyes and they’re* still there
I let them* steal into my melancholy heart
It’s more than I can bear
Your face through the bars lingered in his mind for two weeks after he helped you with your jailbreak. You had asked him to come with you. You had wanted him to come with you.
Why? What on earth did you see in him. He was in prison for a reason, and you knew that. Him and the rest of the scumbags in Happy Trails belonged there. But somehow, in just that short while you had managed to destroy carefully built walls. Had made him question what he stood for. What he had led the other members of his little prison family to believe. Shattered years of unwavering complacency.
Just because you cared.
Now I know they’ll* never leave me
Even as they* run away
They* will still torment me
Calm me, hurt me
Move me, come what may
Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
I’ll fool myself, they’ll* walk right in
And be with me for evermore
He had told you that he would maybe try for parole. And how visitation days were every third Sunday. In other words, today.
So he sat and waited. He didn’t think you would show, but he wanted to be sure. A single visitor had trickled in and out throughout the day. But not you.
It was odd for him. Waiting like that. He didn’t have anyone to wait for. Very few of the self-named scumbags that resided there had anyone on the outside. And it was even rarer that they would visit. Tiny was really the only one who had a visitor regularly.
Your face through the bars flashed in his head. He should’ve gone with you. You had looked back at him as you walked away. If only for a moment, but it was enough.
Enough for regret to form.
I rage against the trials of love
I curse the fading of the light
The day ended. No sign of you.
Now, his actions had not gone unnoticed by the other inmates. Jimmy and Bam-Bam had taken it upon themselves--well, been elected rather--to check in on their fearless leader.
“Ay, Yancy," Bam-Bam started, his voice slightly hesitant. "You alright? The rest of us noticed that you ain't exactly seeming like yourself."
"Youses were concerned for me? Is thats it?" Yancy asked, already knowing the answer. He didn't even need to be looking to see that Jimmy was nodding in confirmation.
"You've seemed different since y/n left." Jimmy said. "Though why they left is still beyond me. I dunno why anyone would head back out there. Or how they left for that matter..."
That's right, Yancy thought to himself. He hadn't told any of the other inmates that he had helped you break out. But, then again. How you broke out wasn't even information he had trusted you with. Secrets had to stay secrets. And he wouldn't be their fearless leader if others had all the same information he had. The balance would be thrown off.
"Yancy? Yancy!" Bam-Bam was talking to him. "Do ya need a doctor? I ain't ever seen you like this. Should I get the Warden?"
That was the last thing he needed. He shook himself out of his stupor. Might as well move on. Visitation hours were over anyways. Dinner would be soon.
He stood. "There's no need for the Warden. Youses are worried for nothin', I'm just tired. I ain't beens sleepin' right. That's all. It ain't gots nothin' to do with anythin' elses. Now, come on, let's get uses some dinner. Oughta be somethin' good tonight. It always tastes a bit better on Visitation day, don't it?"
Though they've* already flown beyond my reach
They're* never out of sight
Now I know they'll* never leave me
Even as they* fade from view
They* will still inspire me
Be a part of everything I do
Wasting in my lonely tower
Waiting by an open door
I'll fool myself, they'll* walk right in
And as the long, long nights begin
I'll think of all that might have been
Waiting here for evermore
The nights were long. Another Visitation Day came and went. And no word from you. Yancy had gotten the paper the other day and there was an article from the museum offering a reward for the return of that box you had had. You were probably doing loads of heists now. Again the guy you had been with crossed his mind. Brief flickers of jealousy that had no business being present in his head.
He saw traces of it everywhere though.
When they were standing in the yard during outside hours, he caught himself gazing at the fence.
His dreams, oddly enough, were where he found you the most. Just reliving that moment. His dreams saw his past self taking routes that his present self only wished he would've chanced...
"Come with me!" You said suddenly, not even sure why you offered. Something about Yancy had just grown on you.
"Me? Out there? With you?" In that moment it seemed laughable. You hardly even knew him. "I, uhm, I done a lotta bad things, and uh..." He shook his head as if to dislodge both the words he wanted to say and the emotions rolling through him. He gestured to the prison behind him. "This is home...for now anyway."
"You can't start a new home! A new life, Yancy!" You had stuck your own hand through the bars to grab his, to stop him from walking away. "The...agency I work for, the ones who sent me and Mark on the heist, they pay well and are always looking for more people. I could get you a job. Who knows, maybe they'd let us be partners. Stars know that you'd be a better partner than Mark was."
He stared at you through the bars as you laughed, your eyes shining, hair windswept, cheeks flushed. You were a free bird indeed.
"Come with me, Yancy. Please."
It was here that his subconscious changed the game. It was here that he imagined it differently. In the dream he took your hand and he ran so far from Happy Trails Penitentiary that they never found either of you. Like ghosts in the night you were both gone. Just him and you.
He pushed the thoughts aside every time. He was the one who said that he wanted to grow old in the penitentiary. He was the one who didn't want to be free. He was the one who thought that life behind bars was luxury and the outside world wasn't worth it.
And yet, hope is a funny thing.
So when a package came in the mail for him, he couldn't help but hope it was from you. It didn't have a return address on it. Actually, the only form of address on it simply said : Yancy, Happy Trails Penitentiary.
Upon opening it, all he found was a scrap of fabric and a piece of paper.
A bandana and a note which read,
Midnight. Be ready.
If ya’ll have any ideas or want me to write more for Yancy, just shoot me an ask. I’m not necessarily taking requests, but sometimes I’ll see something or hear a song and I’ll get totally inspired. So feel free to let me know! I love hearing from you guys, it makes me smile!

Twisted Wonderland Tarot Part Three
Main Masterlist
The Remaining NRC Students
I got my card descriptions from the app I’ve been using, Golden Thread Tarot, and it’s been super helpful! I totally recommend it!
I couldn’t get a clear reading on Jack. So that’s why he isn’t included. He just felt too foggy and I couldn’t make sense of anything
Ace Trapolla
Knight of Cups - Reversed- Being ruled by the heart and not the head, the Knight of Cups can sometimes be prone to quickly evolving and heated emotions. His invitation, though charming at first, can become problematic because of his inability to control his feelings
Deuce Spade
Ace of Swords- The potential for immense power and success. But remember that the sword is double edged, depending on who wields it, its power could be used to shelter and protect or to mercilessly strike down for cold and ruthless self gain.
Cater Diamond
Temperence- Taking the middle road, finding a balance in life that allows you to attain a sense of calm. When it relates to the external world, it also means adapting, cooperation and meditation
Floyd Leech
Seven of Swords - Reversed - Though you may have found yourself in a position where you have needed to lie, betray and steal to survive, there is a spark within you that is showing desire to leave that life behind. It has left you feeling smothered, and unable to be free
Epel Felmier
The Moon- Night is the time when dreams and fantasies rule. The moon also represents instincts that we have buried in our own unconscious - they come out to play in the moonlight. But the reflections that spring forth can also be illusions, it is easy to lose your way in the dark.
Silver
Five of Cups - Reversed - Though times were dark, you may have recently been able to pull yourself out of a painful situation by looking forwards. And through it all you have found that not all has been lost. You’re beginning the process of moving on, and healing from the recent pain
Sebek Zigvolt
Queen of Pentacles - Reversed - There is some friction here between your needs at work and your needs at home. You may find yourself in a position where you cannot give enough to either and you are being pulled in many different directions. You need to think about rebalancing your needs and the needs of your household

Breathe - Hawks x Reader (request)
The song inspiration for this one was “Breathe (2 am)” by Anna Nalick. I had so much fun writing this one. Thank you for your request
Word count: 1.1k
Main Masterlist
Tumblr media
He was overworked. The commission was working him to the bone. He knew it. You knew it. The commission knew it. Hell, even some of his fans probably noticed by now.
But Hawks didn't do a thing to stop it. He didn't once complain. Not even when he would get home for the day, have barely sat down and his phone would go off. It was always the commission giving him something else to do.
It hadn't always been that way.
You and Keigo had been together for almost three years now. It had taken about a year for the commission to find out, and they had been against it at first, but then changed their mind with the idea that it would be good for the winged hero's image. After two and a half years of dating, he had asked you to marry him. The tabloids had had a field day.
But it had also been two and a half months of Keigo borderline working his wings off and that had added a completely different type of stress to the dynamic. You loved him so much and to see him so exhausted was hurting you.
Being a hero was exhausting. Granted, though you had a Quirk, you had chosen a different path for yourself and chose to follow your own dreams. Your Quirk wasn't suited for hero work, but once in a while you lent a hand when asked, and it wasn't easy.
You couldn't imagine what it was like to be the No. 2 hero. All you knew how to do was be there for him. To offer your shoulder when he needed it.
For the most part, your relationship continued as normal. And before you had both known it, you had reached your three year anniversary. Keigo had been over the moon excited. He was supposed to get off early. You two were going to go out to dinner. The reservations had been made. You had gotten dressed so you would be ready to go.
Your phone chirped, alerting you to a message from Keigo.
Flirty Bird - not gonna make it. needed in the next city over. will b home late 2nite.
That was it. No apology for missing dinner. No apology for not being with you like he said he would.
You’re not sure why that was the breaking point. You’re not sure why that was the thing that made the little pot of rage boil over.
Granted, you weren’t mad at Keigo. You were mad at the commission.
But, you were disappointed in the fact that he never pushed back against them. Couldn’t he see that they treated him like an animal???
You took your shoes off--pretty ones that you had gotten especially for the occasion-- and, just to release the tension, threw one as hard as you could.
They hit a vase of flowers and the shards of glass flew.
You could’ve cared less. In a way, it felt good. It was a way to burn off the emotions, right?
You threw the other one and it left a dent in the wall.
You glanced down at the ring on your finger and your vision blurred. Who knew a night like this would end up being a night spent crying on the couch.
You fell asleep there. Never bothering to get up and take your makeup off or change out of your dress. The mascara and eyeliner had smudged and ran its rivers down your face. You didn’t wake until the keys jingled in the door. At that, you finally roused yourself, quickly remembering why you had fallen asleep on the couch as you took in one of your shoes laying in a puddle of glass, petals, and water.
“Baby bird?” Keigo’s voice was soft as he walked into the room. He had clearly expected you to have gone to bed, if his expression was anything to go by. "What're you--"
He trailed off, fully taking in your appearance. The ruined makeup, your now wrinkled clothes, your bare feet. He took a step forward and heard the glass crunch under his boot. He glanced down, finding your shoes. You had been excited about them, you had told him that. They were red. The exact same shade as his wings.
He looked back up at you. Fresh tears were now present in your eyes. Guilt tore its way through his emotions.
For what felt like forever, no one spoke.
"Babe--" He started.
"Don't." You stopped him, hating the way your voice cracked. "You promised you'd be here. You promised, Keigo."
"I know, birdy, but the commission wanted--"
"NO!" Your already wounded temper flared. "I don't care what they wanted! What about what I wanted? All I wanted was a moment to have you to myself. All I wanted was you!"
"I'm the number two pro hero, (y/n)! You have to understand that sometimes--"
"I have been understanding! For the past two and a half months I have watched my fiance work himself to the bone and it has been killing me! You're letting them treat you like something less than human, Keigo!  You're letting them walk all over you!"
He sighed. He didn't have it in him to fight at that moment. "(Y/n), just calm down, we can go to bed and talk about this later." He rubbed his eyes in frustration, missing the way yours blazed in fury.
"When's later, Keigo."
"I don't know, just when I'm not busy."
And there was the breaking point. You didn't even bother with shoes. You were out the door before he even knew what was happening.
"(Y/n)! Wait!"
You turned and glared at him, setting off the bright flashes of your Quirk, causing him to have to stop until the momentary blindness passed.
By that time you had already made it outside. You had no clue where you were going. You hadn’t even noticed the rain when you had been inside. It must have started when you were asleep. You were drenched instantly but kept walking angrily with no destination in mind.
Keigo landed in front of you. Hard.
Your instincts panicked. He couldn’t fly well in the rain. His wings got too waterlogged.
“What are you doing--”
He cut you off, dropping to his knees in front of you. Tears on his face mingling with the rain.
“Please. Please, baby. Don’t leave me. I can’t breathe without you. I never meant to make it seem like you aren’t important. You’re my whole world, please. Please, angel. Don’t go.”
Your anger dissipated instantly. You could never leave him. He made up too much of your heart. He was the love of your life. He had just about threw himself out a window to apologize.
You pulled him to you, off of his knees, and wrapped your arms around him. He pulled you as close as he could.
“All I want is you.”
“And you can have it. I’ll tell the commission to back off. That my girl needs me.” He promised.
And you knew he would. Your souls were too far intwined with each other to be parted now. You would both do whatever it would take to make this work.
Cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out
And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again

Come What May - Julian Devorak x Apprentice!Reader
I couldn’t find a Julian fic to this song ANYWHERE! It was the only thing I could think of during his confession in his route. I listened to the version by Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman for this.
Spoilers for Julian’s route, Upright Ending.
Check out my masterlist!
Word Count: 1k
Tumblr media
Never knew I could feel like this
Like I've never seen the sky before
I want to vanish inside your kiss
Every day I love you more and more
Julian was a self deprecator. He had always been. Even when he had been with Asra, it was always the same game.
He wondered if it had been circumstance that made him this way. After all, he had failed to save you from the plague the first time around. How on earth was he supposed to save you now?
I mean, you were up against the Devil of all things.
Damn Lucio to hell and back. This was all his fault.
But at the same time he was grateful. The plague had split you apart, and yet at the same time brought you back together. If he had never found you at the aquaduct that night, who knows where you both would be in that moment.
Everything was different now. No matter what, nothing was going to take you from him a second time.
Not even the Devil himself could succeed.
When he had first reencountered you, all he could see in a future with you was pain. He was a wanted man. Anything he wanted would have ruined any future you had.
And then you had swept in like a hurricane setting off a domino chain of events. Granted, he may have mussed your plans here and there, but it was all done with good intentions.
Even if it led to where the both of you now were. Bound and chained by one of the major Arcana.
But, as he looked over at you, a small smile graced his lips. Everything was going to be fine now.
There was a future now. A path forward. No matter the current situation.
Listen to my heart
Can't you hear it sings
Telling me to give you everything
Seasons may change
Winter to spring
But I love you
Until the end of time
He knew you were strong enough to break the Devil's hold. He believed in you.
The Devil had stood by and laughed through the proclamations of love the two of you had exchanged. But it couldn't have been more unimportant to the both of you.
Julian loved you. And you loved him.
Everything was right in the world in that small moment.
"Because we're stronger together. Strong enough to face the future. Come what may." He smiled at you, despite everything.
Despite the chains binding the two of you. He managed to tell you everything you needed in that moment.
"No matter what happens, I want you know..."
For a moment, the world felt like it held its breath.
"I love you."
Come what may
Come what may
I will love you
Until my dying day
There was no lie to his words. You thought back to all you had shared. Both in the fragmented pieces of memories that prevailed inside your mind, and the days that you had both shared leading up to that moment.
The brighter ones.
Nights spent laughing together at Portia's cottage and running through her garden like teenagers. The time you both snuck into the theater and the laughter that ensued from Julian portraying himself a ne'er-do-well who snuck into the palace. The joyous pride that came from teaching Julian magic in the Tower realm. The fun you had at the palace during the festival. There were flashes of your time together before the plague claimed so much. How you spent days together studying.
The darker ones.
The fact he had been framed. The trial. The hanging. The Hanged Man's realm. The plague. The courtiers. The pain you can remember--the longing, the feeling of Death looming--as you waited for the end on the Lazarus.
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste
It all revolves around you
Julian didn't understand magic, that was fine with him. He was a man of science after all. You understood it well enough for the both of you. You amazed him. You constantly shocked and surprised him with how capable and talented you are.
He knew he could never match up to you. He knew how lucky he was. Everything he did at this point in time, and--from what he remembered--even before he lost you, had had something, if not everything, to do with you.
And there's no moutain too high
No river too wide
Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side
Storm clouds may gather
And stars may collide
But I love you
I love you
Until the end of time
That's why he had to tell you how he felt before it was all too late.
Those words had been all the strength you needed. When fairytales said that love was strong enough to break all matter of curses and evil, you had dismissed them at the time for what they were: fairytales.
But oh how wrong you had been. All stories have a faction of truth to them, despite the hands of time warping them over the years.
There was a strength in love. In the bond you and Julian had formed. In the trials you had already faced as a team.
It was that strength that beat the Devil. That left the goat frozen in stone, a problem for a far distant generation.
Come what may
I will love you
Until my dying day
It was that same love and strength that continued to flow through you both for the years to come.
Whether you were sailing with Mazelinka or back in Vesuvia with Asra, Portia, and Nadia or whether you were off on your own, just revelling in your freedom.
It was a bond that couldn't be influenced no matter what. Something unchanging, vast, and everlasting.
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Come what may
I will love you
Until my dying day

The Empress- She is the symbol of the feminine principle - a representation of venus and mother earth. She is nurturing, fertile, and a provider.
Jade Leech
Strength - Reversed - Recent obstacles have created some insecurity about your abilities. A feeling of not being ready for the challenges that life gives you predominates this reversed card. What parts of yourself are you ashamed of? Although it may be counter-intuitive, acknowledging your vulnerabilities may be a sign of inner strength
Jamil Viper
King of Cups - Reversed - A master in emotions, the Kind of Cups can choose to use his understanding of human feeling to create peace or strife. What are his intentions? On the other hand, perhaps someone who is usually calm is losing his grip on his otherwise stable emotions
Rook Hunt
Temperence - Reversed - Too  much of anything can lead to ruin. Your focus is sharp and unwavering, but what are you leaving forgotten? Something has been forgotten in your quest for excellence.
Ortho Shroud
(Not sure if Ortho is a vice dorm leader, but I thought I’d include him anyways)
Seven of Pentactles- Though you have definitely been putting in much work, you find yourself questioning whether the rewards that you get from it are enough to justify your time spent. What you’ve planted perhaps has not taken root, and you find yourself frustrated and looking for other opportunities.
Lilia Vanrouge
Nine of Pentacles - Reversed - Though you have perhaps spent much of your energies working hard, you might find yourself in a position where setbacks and mistakes have blocked your way to your goals. Though you have not been lacking in will, diligence, or ambition, these mistakes have cost you. Where did you go wrong? What can you do next time s that this does not repeat itself
