Oh, yes, eventually! :D

He knows ABOUT mystic powers but he is not able to use them yet, much to Draxum disappointment.

Favorite things:

Donnies absolute favorite thing is asking questions. Carol only gives them little kids books- which while he does enjoy reading them as they have taught him a lot about the world outside- "trees look like this, ooooh and kids go to place called school to learn!" - they do not always interest him since he knows a lot of it is made up. - "A mutant mouse? Those don't exists... I think. And no human would give a mutant mouse a cookie!! ... well, except maybe Carol."

So, when he has the chance to ask questions about the outside world, how the machines they use work, ect. THATS his favorite thing.

Mikey's favorite thing is drawing. Once they gave him paper and pencils, he was FINALLY able to make the boring gray walls feel less cold. He can draw him and his brother in all the places in their books- and pretend that his world is a little less gray that way.

Least favorite:

Donnie hates boredom, and he is OFTEN bored in their room. They don't have much to do and are in their room for like... 90% of most days. So, any time he is in his room without anything to do. (already read all the books, Mikey is busy drawing, ect)

Mikey hates school time and anything to do with needles.

Donnie has a pretty good grasp on time. He has seen clocks on the wall and overheard conversations such as "Oh man, what time is it? We should be getting the mutants back to their rooms." *scientist looks at clock on wall* "Your right, it's almost 5!" - With these conversations scattered about and a few questions to Carol, he has it *mostly* figured out.

Mikey has... day and night down but that's about it. Their room light turns on during the day and off during the night (the bathroom light always staying lit).

You would be suprised how many basic facts Donnie is able to pick up through well timed questions, children's books, and Carol!

While Donnie has no good way of expressing his love of tech where he is, his intellect is shown through how much he DOES know about the world. He isn't as knowledgeable as most Donnies his age, because he had to FIGHT for everything he has learned- but he IS learning which I think is quite amazing as is.

Though, with Carol with them now, it has become much easier! :D

Hehe I feel like the scientist probably have DONE this before. Might do a small comic about this one day, who knows.

But, basic reaction: They would both LOVE it.

Weird birthmarks cause by whatever mutated them, probably.

Tbh I have NOT thought of that but for most turtle related activities like that I always think they DO just a VERY scaled down version. Like, they pretty much just feel the urge to make pillow/blanket forts more often in the winter and take more naps then normal.

No it's all good! Questions like these ones help me flesh out their story and my world a little bit more! Though, I DID skip any questions that I knew would already be answered later in the comic!

my comfort characters

i have a lot of comfort characters and i wanna talk about why i view them as such

nolan from uglydolls: ive always liked characters who were seen as different from normal characters they have their own unique appearance like nolan who has uneven sleeves, freckles, and heterochromia an eye condition where one eye is a different color in nolan’s case one is green and the other is purple he has a kinda shy looking appeal and has a special place in my heart as a comfort character

david from camp camp: he is the father figure i wish i had he is nice, doesn’t like strong language, and just wants to make his campers happy and wants the best for them, he likes the outside more than cities, he enjoys nature, he is a bit childish at times and it is kinda obvious he had some difficulty throughout his life therefore he is my comfort character

Haida from aggretsuko: i see him as somebody who would love me unconditionally and would support me no matter what he feels like my only source of protection when i am scared every time i see him i smile he invents stuff theres not really much else i can say about him but he is my comfort character either way

cody from total drama: there isn't much to say tbh idk why he became a comfort character

cat in the hat dr seuss: he has chaotic energy i have chaotic energy we’d get along he’d probably take me on adventures get into trouble just overall have fun i feel like he would take me under his wing since we are both chaotic i also think he’d try to cheer me up by being his chaotic self that always makes me laugh as

marshall from paw patrol: he is clumsy and one of my favorite breeds of dogs his jokes make me laugh and i see a bit of myself in him

foxy from fnaf: i took to foxy like metal to a magnet

mr peanutbutter from bojack horseman: his energy is so upbeat and he acts like how a normal dog would

kwazii from octonauts: my main love for a type of animal when i was younger was cats so if i knew about this tv show kwazii would have definitely be my favorite character while i still have a love for cats they remain a happy memory of my obsessed child mind i see a bit of myself in kwazii he gets mad or upset at times like me i love to add in my rps that kwazii has a blind eye and is really self-conscious about it so he wears his eye patch but those are my shipping rps mostly barnacles x kwazii my friend encourages the ship

hi this is horizonandstar! im a sideblog and not sure how you'd feel just me reblogging a screenshot of your tags and respond that way but anyways! i am in your askbox!

yeah its kinda sad when fics get dropped. for my case specifically, the next chapter came out later than my usual update schedule due to a mix of back to school and chapter being uncooperative in writing. i also made a sideblog which also slowed me down by a lot because back then, the only times i could talk about the fic was when it updated, and i felt like i was going to explode if i didnt share my thoughts, so

ive never actually seen subnautica aus before! the first one i found was Leviathan's Song which made me go autism creature on it and i knew then i really really wanted to write a subnautica au fic. ive since then occasionally check the tags to see if any more subnautica aus dropped, and there's 2 so far that i like and another that i would like to start reading

tbh my aus is just me going "put the blorbos in a situation" which usually ends up placing them in a pre-established setting. also! what are the parts thats relevant to your circles interests!! curiosity is tugging on me and id like to know if youre cool with that!

yeah ofc!!! subnautica, borrowers, and pokemon are all Relevant to my friends (and by extension my) interests!!! imo we really need more of subnautica, the isolation factor and what ppl usually associate the dca with mixes really well. I've thought about writing my own, but I feel like its kinda cheating to use other people's mer!dca designs and I'm not confident in making my own so... eh. Maybe one day.

as for borrowers and pmd (ESPECIALLY pmd), I have no idea how it would work but the idea is fun. little guy living in the walls, the mouse to moon's cat? sick, awesome, love it.

i did see that you were talking about specifics to the pmd au earlier and I gotta agree with that one person - it's much better to have character pokemon set in stone so you're happy with it as the author. Doesn't really matter what the reader opinion is on that because we're not the ones writing it! Do what makes you happy! Happy author = more writing = happy readers anyway.

all that said i think ur ideas are cool and ur writing is a super fun read

owl house spoilers, and thinking back on what could had been. so yeah. rambling again. but, i will say, i loved it, and it left me an emotional mess. not as much as ffxiv's shadowbringers and endwalker, but still p good without comparison.

i enjoyed the ending tbh. i love titan-luz esp. there was a lot of things i found interesting in the world building, that i wish that if the series wasnt cancelled, could had been properly explored with time, and king can unite with his father, but unfortunately... yeah. but you know, despite all the good, i do feel that having the big bad have so much mystery, but no time to explore makes his death a bit weak.

like it feels good to have him beaten down as he was, and killed straight up, but i wish i could had learned more about his backstory. his reason to be there. yes luz caused him to get where he is, but like, thats only one piece to a bigger puzzle that is the big bad's story.

i wish i could had learn more about the collector's kind. what really happened to them and what happened to the titans. i wish we could had learned more about the collector as well, because giving just three episodes to the other big "bad" isnt enough, imo, to grown attached to him. but i do think he is adorable. just a kid with too much power and too little guidance. its a shame really.

thing is, im just a viewer, not a writer, and so idk what happened or what the creators were thinking to make what they did, but i still enjoyed it. there was too much that disney missed out on, and honestly, i wish the owl house existed when i was a kid. it would make me feel proud to not only be hispanic, like i always wanted a hispanic heroine, but also glad to be weird and different. im glad that this show exists for kids that exist today.

but it is what it is. im not angry at the mouse, im more angry at the people who direct the mouse. the mouse isnt to be blamed here.

anyway thats just summoning up my thoughts on it, and i nearly did cry at the end, to see a proper happy ending after so long. i havent finished steven universe, because i heard that the ending for that is p bad, and like, honestly, i just watched a few episodes of future, and felt content with just finishing it off pre-movie. but i know that even su suffered a lot from corp meddling. it sucks.

still, despite corp nonsense, im glad these shows are being made today, and for future gens to enjoy. i hope to see more shows like these continue to be made, despite corp nonsense. i want to see more good stories.

i think since u know what direction u want u shd definitely lean into this angle of having a morally grey villain or someone who portrays them as such or may not even be aware of either extent or their morality! either ways its a rlly good thing to know what u want and how u want to express ideas!! ^W^ no matter what type of writing clarity is important

also mm yea personally i dont read a lot of stories w villains i realised? i like tokusatsu where theres a lot clearer good vs bad but i havent watched a lot of the recent entries w more moral ambiguity so i couldnt offer much on a personal front. i guess i like them because theyre evil n nasty n interesting sometimes n like also i like magneto too!! :D i find i pesonally agree w his ideas but i also think how different writers portray magneto, his beliefs, background and try to skew them rlly reflects interestingly on how they view the ideas he represents, just off topic but neat stuff.

although i do think yea in writing n commentary villains can serve actually a rlly important role in reflecting peoples opinions, biases ect. back on them ah but thats getting off topic

in response about the enemies to friendsish thing actually i encountered the same issue!!! :DDD albeit it was cough a knb ship (i dont think anyone knows what it is) so if i may offer my personal insight i think having obv similarities always works. for me i found my two characters were more similar than theyd liked to admit but when in their usual environments surrounded by their peers they were super unlikely to interact so i put them in a different environment! sometimes what u need is smth to kickstart their interest in each other! an encounter that exposes smth worth talking about. like for me the more villainous character realises the more "heroic" character is actually more than a boring farce n finds an opportunity to corrupt him n the heroic character wants to resist this but himself returns because of the villains intelligence n their similar points. it leads them to enter a sort of cat n mouse game into each others minds. but thats cuz my characters i was working w were more intellectual

BUTTT the gist is basically ur allowed to do a little deus ex machina or have smth thats out of their control give them the opportunity to choose to interact n stuff. not all the time ofc important advancements n influence shd be made frm autonomous actions of the characters but a little coincidence never hurts!

ive briefly dipped my toes in writing before but ive never had enough clarity to write anything good tbh!! but i do like helping others edit if i can!!

anyways it means so much that i can give u something to chew on tbh!! ^w^ ur inquisitive nature is lovely! also yes itll always be okay to pop in !!

a knb ship oooooo! are you writing a fic for them? so u ARE a writer!!!!! or a future writer!!! fdjfdfgjh but that sounds so cool lab! i really like the detail about how in their usual environments w friends they’re unlikely to interact despite being quite similar… i don’t know how to articulate it but i really find this interesting in fiction/media… two people who could have a close relationship if they were just to go outside of their usual environment, and the significant role being surrounded by their peers in said environment plays. and then something pushes them out of the familiar, often by force, and our story begins, right? i love the “an encounter that exposes something worth talking about” line, so lovely. something worth talking about!

much of it is about change, and putting your characters in situations that force change, and thus character development? it’ll be fun to see what the new situation/environment brings out in your characters, what they bring out in one another when they’re finally able to interact alone. i wonder if there are things only the other person can bring out in themselves.

i love characters seeing one another in a different light, realizing there's more to the person they disliked then originally thought. ESPECIALLY when its the more villainous character seeing something that draws them into their heroic counterpart. OO THE OPPORTUNITY TO CORRUPT HIM im getting nervous nd excited!! so theres a unignorable interest there on the villianous characters side!! i wonder what makes them want to corrupt the “heroic” character!! a more sort of twisted, self-interested and self-indulgent desire to bring out something darker in them or more genuine interest in the heroic character.. or both or something else?… hm!!!!

wait wait is one of them hanamiya? the intelligence and want to corrupt part made me think of him. teppei and hanamiya? dfjhjsdf anyways u dont need to tell me anything this just sounds so so cool and i love how deeply and intentionally you’ve thought about their relationship. thank you for sharing your plans with me, really wonderful and im excited for how it comes along!!!!

Behind every great man is a greater woman, one that deserves her credit for how she has stood behind. I wonder the stories of those women, what they have sacrificed or not sacrificed. Their thoughts and feelings when the world is surrounding their partner and views them as a plus one. (I'd write a short script about this but I think do I have the time, can I, or am I equipped ?)

Marie to herself and the audience:

He is not afraid that he will loose her but as my character says in my unreleased story, "i can't wait til you give me a fucking reason to leave your ass." Malcolm expects everything in order for not even doing the bare minimum and she is only asking him for something as simple as consideration. She just wants him to be considerate. He wants to get married and considers their relationship like rolling down a hill at full speed and he cannot apologize, he cannot be considerate, and he cannot admit his wrongs. He can only offer her I love yous that he probably does mean but he does not back up outside of what he's done for her in the past. The past which was more of her experience than his and he sees his part in it as a burden. He doesn't use his own vantage point of the past to further his career he uses her. He does all of these things without a real apology or thankyou because he is not afraid to loose her.

The restrictions of quarantine and the panorama have made Sam's writing very no frills. I wonder how other films from other directors and writers that are filmed in small contained crews like this will be structured. But this was a very good movie gonna add to my letter box 3.3-3.5

Ratings/overall thoughts:

Script is like a C+, B- : I could go into my heavier big brain thoughts on the script but I don't feel like it. You catch hints of it above it centers conversation on race and privilege, mainly the writers and questions i have that won't be answered but Sam did make me grow disdain for Malcolm over a short time. Which is sometimes hard to do because im one sympathetic person but the sympathy i have for Malcolm is at 0. Maybe a 2 at some scenes but then it quickly goes back to 0. Some parts of the dialogue miss the mark or hit the are off balanced. While some of it like Malcolm's bathroom speech albeit mean is really strong or their conversation when he comes back from peeing really shines for me.

Performances: B+ to A- because they carried the script further than it could of gone with less talented actors. The monologues do well to showcase their current skill levels which are already high af and leave room for anticipation in where these actors go next.

Zendaya holding a knife: A+ with a gold star. That switch on and off and on is delectable.

John being a shitty boyfriend but following Marie like a lost puppy: B+ with a good job written at the bottom of the paper, Malcolm being nervous a frantic dialed up with more realistic nervousness would have sold me completely on Malcolm's anxious waiting.

Cinematography: A and a participation award.

The mac and cheese: A+ for the easy mac. Wish it was like Annie's or Velveeta.

Cigarettes: Participation award and their picture hung up for student of the month. Why the grill lighter? Everytime Malcolm opened up his mouth Marie was like sparks fly.

The music: A++ with a prize. Whoever picked the music probably makes good Spotify playlists.

danny phantom season 2, ep 12-16 thoughts! these episodes, in comparison to the first 10 or so, felt way more laid back and low-stakes, which I appreciate sometimes. I didn't appreciate how lazy jack's halfa design was in masters of time, it made me so annoyed I redesigned it. 👎🏻 u_u

-vlad being so sure danny wouldnt help him he made it somehow contagious to his friends to make sure he'd get help? danny is a nice boy, he wouldve helped if it was anyone else. the only reason he wouldn't have is because of the shit vlad did to him, on purpose. vlad 100% dug his own grave by being the biggest asshole, so it is very hard to feel bad for him.

-clockwork is back!!! and making danny learn lessons The Hard Way. Uhhh, okay. I kind of get Danny’s logic, that time traveling this far back would prevent vlad from becoming a halfa also, ergo no arch nemesis or ectoacne to worry about. But the fact that was basically the first solution Danny came up with to solve this problem is actually so funny. It’s so extreme

-vlad telling maddie in the lab (in the 80s) he has something he's wanted to tell her 'for a long time'...how long have they known each other? I assumed they met in college, since jack always calls vlad his college buddy/roommate, so jack and vlad for sure met in college, but did vlad know maddie longer? thats surprising if so. Tho we don’t know what year of college they’re in so they could mean they met as freshmen and a few years have past…speaking of maddie shes crushing the 80s look.

-vlad blames jack, but. maybe dont stick your face 2 inches from the portal??! THIS FEELS LIKE LAB SAFETY BASICS. IF SOMETHING HAS POTENTIAL TO BE DANGEROUS, DONT GET NEAR IT. WITH YOUR FACE UNPROTECTED IN ANY WAY. (altho jack didnt really give a Big Warning besides screaming BONZAI. so. also that, but cmon.) also, they need gloves, goggles, and to pull all of their hair back tbh. but fuck lab safety, I guess!

-cryyyyinnng at how lazy they were with jack's ghost form design, its just plasmius' design on jack!!! you couldve given him his own design!!

I did that in about 10 minutes and its somehow less lazy than what made it into the show. embarrassing! better yet, I think the episode would've been better if maddie would've gotten the ectoacne. or maybe its just me, wanting to see her design! anyway. I'm sure people have already done redesigns of them both as halfas. I have to go look after I finish this watch through. Also mildly frustrated jacks resentment and bitterness is basically also a copy paste of vlads backstory. They’re different characters, I really don’t think jack would stew in bitterness and jealousy the same way vlad would!! I also don’t think he’d give up after one time of trying to hunt ghosts and getting laughed at. Our canon timeline says different…I dunno, I get it was for laughs, but I’m annoyed because the POTENTIAL this plot has…

-did vlad really wear a stupid cheese hat to his wedding. ok actually that kinda rules. and the cheese door knocker. the dairy-only buffet table. vlad still got rich, just on being the New Dairy King. (Assuming that means he owns a lot of dairy businesses?) ok! this actually is great. hope maddie isn't lactose intolerant!

-'no matter how hard I tried, I could never get rid of my ghost half, the half I knew Maddie could never accept' ohh, ouch, what a horrible thing to say to her HALF GHOST SON. 'YOUR MOM WILL NEVER ACCEPT YOU' BASICALLY.

-maddie strapping danny to the table with a lazer pointed at him in a secret lab she keeps from vlad that she makes a point of saying is sound proof so he can scream all he wants...CHRIST. DANNYS POOR PYSCHE.

-also, not to feel bad for alternate vlad (because, he did lie to maddie saying jack blames her and never wants to see her again...) but. being married to a woman 20+ years and she immediately goes back to jack? if she didnt love vlad and feels like she had to hide shit from him, and says she wasted her best years with him, WHY MARRY HIM. it feels like leading him on!!! cannot believe im feeling bad for vlad, but. this alternate timeline vlad is significantly Less Horrible than Our Vlad. did she not think she'd get funding for her ghost stuff? (which, fair assumption since they're considered 'ghost fanatics/nuts in canon...but...) why did she think jack or vlad would be her ONLY OPTIONS? be like your sister. be single. Actually, this au could’ve been really interesting if after the accident, vlad lied to her and said jack never wanted to see her again, but she stays single. Imagine how much that would bug vlad… like, in her mind, it was never a competition it was jack or no one type situation…

-danny being like 'leave him ALONE' this jack is a HOMEWRECKER, DANNY. let them go to court and settle this at the least. ...or just throw vlad into the portal. (100% human, defenseless vlad) CHRIST, MADDIE THATS BRUTAL. THATS MURDER.

-danny seeing his mom immediately accepting him and his dad being half ghosts in this universe, if I was him this would be a great sign that his universe's maddie would also.

-*maddie voice* "clockwork will help!" *2 seconds later, with clockwork* "I will Not Help." TOUGH LOVE KING. YES LET DANNY SEE THE SODA HIMSELF AND DEVOLP BETTER OBSERVATION SKILLS.

-when clockwork ""reset time to the way it was"" just before danny "meddled"" ...did he really erase a whole alternate timeline? ...damn. because maddie and danny both called it an alternate timeline by name, it splitting when the college incident went different, so it wouldnt have really mattered if he reset it, right. like because danny's timeline is on a different stream? why didnt clockwork just. show danny a replay and not Reset That Timeline. wh...I wonder how many people that Erased From Existence. Anyway! once again stating clockwork is casually terrifying!

The Tales of the Todorokis

Acknowledging character development and writing character development is not and making excuses for ones crimes.

Disclaimer: I read, I interpret, I express. This is a long post filled with images. Also probably some horrible grammar

Apologizing: Apologizing is acknowledging ones faults and vowing to never commit the same mistakes. What has happened has happened. Nothing can change the past or the effect it had. What you do now, does not change or erase the past, but it helps guide a path of healing for the future. It can be the start of change and morphing into a better person. BUT, only if that person truly means it.

Apologies is not making an excuse for yourself.

Forgiveness: Forgiveness can be rightfully given, or not. It can be a tricky thing to understand at times. Forgiveness doesn’t remove the pain. Forgiveness doesn’t erase the memories. But for some people, forgiveness is a key to freedom, for inner peace. For other people, forgiveness doesn’t offer them that, and that's fine too.

We are not monoliths, we are individual people, with individual brains, with individual emotions, with experiences that affects us as individuals. Our stories might overlap - they might even be identical, but how we process it may not be.

I don’t like this narrative I’ve been seeing recently in the fandom of Horikoshi being an abuse apologist. I think Horikoshi is challenging us and its working.

The Tales of the Todoroki’s: Enji, Rei, Touya, Fuyumi, Natsuo, Shoto

Each viewpoint and each experience from everyone is very important in putting the pieces together (yes, even Enji). In fact, I think it was important to have Enjis viewpoint to the situation because it was such a contrast to what we’ve heard and seen from everyone else. In Enjis mind, he truly thought everyone was complaisant. He saw nothing wrong with attempting to live vicariously through his kids. In the same breath he expresses contempt for this children, its also laced with disappointment

He speaks of Rei as though she was consensual, but we know he essentially used her a valuable Mare and hurt her as well.

His treatment of Rei cannot be erased, justified, or forgotten. It happened. We as the audience are suppose to carry that in our minds because we are reading a story about Heroes. This challenges us to understand that heroic actions is not what a hero makes.

There are cops who (most of them tbh) that become cops simply for the power dynamic, not because they desire to protect. A lot of cops abuse their spouse.

Rei: We are only introduced to her through the lowest point of her life and we have no insight on how Enji acquired her (yeah that sound harsh, but isn’t that what happened) nor her domestic life with him. What we know of her are scenes of her pain, and I think thats relevant enough. She may have had some “good” moments out of her situation, but she was still a mouse trapped in a lions den. Good days do not erase her state. Thats why this panel, was so odd to me

Because it implies that Rei was complicit in having kids even though we as the audience understand that he basically brought her for that single purpose. Now note, this is coming from Enjs mouth, not hers so I can’t sit her be like “oh yeah she was fine with everything”

To me, this is simply Enjis projection because what was Rei honestly going to do? Say no? But who’s to say that she didn’t want Touya to be lonely? Idk, that panel was too wishy washy for me.

Moving on

She replies to Natsuo by saying that's not true

Its not in his defense like how Natsuo claimed. Rei never states that she forgives him, and we can see she is still on her journey of healing when she mentions shes still a bit scared of him. However, she acknowledges his acts as stepping stone for his own path of atonement.

If she does come to forgive him later in the story, thats her decision (Horikoshi actually lol). If she doesn’t, that her decision.

Natsuo:

The only insight from Natsuo is his resentment towards his father with what happened to Touya and the hurt of their mother. It is revealed later that Natsuo was Touya confidant in the house (I’ll get into that when I talk about Touya).

But He doesn’t forgive him....or hes not at that stage yet

When endeavor saves him from the villain, we are able to see Natsuos raw thoughts:

He’s conflicted: He wants to maintain the peace, but he can’t deny how he feels.

Natsuo felt like he had to compromise his feelings, and that shouldn’t be fair. Even thought he is the middle child, I feel like he took on the presence of the big brother and wanted to protect his siblings. But when you have a man like Enji as your father and you know how he is.....standing up to him as a child is terrifying

So when Enji says this

I’m like: DUH! Of course he would feel like that

But I’m taking this scene has Enji recognizing how he made Natsuo feel as a child which showcases. he owns up to the fact that he pushed Touya to the edge.

Yet with all that said, hes not suppose to forget. Hes not suppose to suppress how he feels. And even at his age, that child inside him still hurt and was never offered a chance to properly heal. I know what that feels like.

Natsuo must figure out what he needs to do to find peace - however that may be.

Fuyumi :

We don’t have much insight to Fuyumi and I’m sure her experience is completely different from her brothers. One, because she was a girl and Enji is misogynistic, I doubt he gave her any type of attention as a father figure especially since she only inherited her moms quirk. I don’t recall signs of physically abuse on Fuyumi and (Natsuo), but there probably was demeaning behavior at some point. Just being in that environment and seeing their sibling subjected to that, negatively impact her however

But with Fuyumi, she is trying to move on

I think Fuyumi is on her path of forgiving her father - thats her choice to make to find peace for her experience. After expressing her desire to move on as a family, she ask Shoto how he feels....

Oh my sweet prince Shoto:

Shoto has a lot of baggage and being one of the main protagonist, we get a more in depth experience on his relationship with is father. I’m not going to go into too much detail because we all know he detested his father. I’m mainly going to focus on this middle ground that I find him at.

In the panels above he mentions having grudges and how it clouds the mind. Thats a toxic feeling to carry with you, especially when you’re trying to be a hero. He recognized that, and he’s been working on fixing that. Even his mother had to forgive herself towards what she did to him.

Shoto is not here to forgive Enji, hes here to forgive himself

What I mean by that is the fact that Shoto experienced self-hate. He hated a part of who was, how he looked, where he came from. He had no control of his childhood, but he now has control of his future. At the sports festival, that was Shotos first step towards finding his healing. It wasn’t about Enji apologizing to him. It was about him.

And now look at him, he’s more social, more expressive, more powerful once he began to love himself. He got there on his own and with the support of his friends.

It doesn’t change what happened to him, and it doesn’t erase his feelings However, it gave him control over himself.

This is almost the same position Natsuo is in. He hasn’t seen anything (yet) for himself that warrants him to forgive his father. Maybe we will see it in these later chapters... maybe we wont.

Thats his decision

And last: Touya

Touya, touya, touya touya......

I honestly don’t know how to tackle his situation, but shoot me

From this memory (by Enji), Touya appears...enthusiastic. He appeared that he wanted to train with his father.

And I think this is where things went wrong in his rearing. He was GROOMED .

Enji, being who he was, probably placed the ideas in Touya head of great success, importance, power, fame, ect. These things sound good to a child, and being the only child at the time, he had all his fathers attention. But as he got older and his quirk became incompatible, things started change.

Even before his quirk no longer became compatible for him, Enji still didn't see Touya as his ideal child, but he accepted it. Touya looks to be about 6 here meaning Shoto wasnt born yet or an infant.

Going by the ages given for Shoto, Fuyumi, and Natsuo I’m going to state that

Touya was 13 when he staged his death

Fuyumi was 11, Natsuo was 8, and Shoto was 5 and thats when we are introduced into in abuse.

So there is a 8 year window between Touya shift in his relationship with his father and the start of Shoto gaining his quirk.

That is a missing puzzle piece, and I can only speculate what happened in that time period to drive Touya to his mental breaking point and what his father did or, didn’t do for him.

Here, there is more white in his hair and he looks to be maybe 10? And this is when he starts to question his existence.

I can’t say all that Touya went through from the time Shoto was born to his faked death.

I think Touya suffered from feeling abandoned by his father father, the feelings of being a failure because of these ideals of greatness only to be sideline. That he was just a placeholder like the rest of his sibling and not worthy to work along his fathers side.

I don’t think he faced the same treatment from his father as Shoto did. I think he became blinded by approval and pushed himself to his limits to compete for Enji attention, He probably developed depression, anxiety, and a lot stressors as he became more and more incompatible with his quirk

And I think thats why there is the hate for Shoto because he feels like he took away his purpose ( which has nothing to do with Shoto but everything to do with Enjis grooming)

We know Touya is absolutely not on the scale of ever forgiving his father for what he did. For him to sit there and watch his father on TV and proclaim to be a hero when he knew what went on behind closed doors, it can drive him towards wanting to retaliate.

His story showcases damages of a broken child. Where Shouto found liberation, Touya remained bound to the ambers Enji left on his worth and lies on being a hero.

Not everything can be fixed, and once a crack forms, it will continue to spread until it shatters.

In conclusion

The Tale of The Todorokis is not to serve as excusing abuse. Its a showcase of how 1 man can affect the lives of many people in different ways. It is a tale of moving forward, finding peace, and gaining control over your own person.

Enji knows he can’t snap his figures and all will be well. Though I think some actions he could have done was to take it upon himself to address the country, come clean, and maybe retire as a hero, but he’s not a perfect character.

But I’ll take what I can get. Enji knows his place, he knows what he has done.

Happiness to his family is absence

Its there space

And there nothing more better he can do than that.

He started streaming because after he tried because Kuroo insisted, he realizad he enjoyed it and plus, he gained profit, and since you were a gamer too, you decided to give it a try

Kenma Is a really good bf, so of course he allowed you to use his gamer chair, his special cat headphones, his límited edition mouse, and his two screens because he luvs you

He was out the day you decided you wanted to try streaming, and whenever he was out, you wore his clothes to feel close to him

Even tho he was annoyed, the cute faces you made when someone donated and talked to, or the fact that you were wearing his hoodie you was just too cute, but the sounds of Twitter exploting in his phone for answers about you dragged him down to talk to you

You on the other side, were already in bed a little upset and angry at your boyfriend

Of course your intention wasnt making Kenma angry, you knew how serious he takes this, you wouldnt do that to him on purpouse, didnt he saw that? Did he really tought you would do that to him? yes you fucked up but it was technically his fault since he didnt explained correctly but-

Ok, first. That intro? Literally made me feel like i was watching WrestleMania ngl lmao. (Also Karl just full on simping for Dream like holy shit this guy was 5 seconds away from offering sacrifices to the green man). Also what were those arena names???

Round 1:

I laughed at them just batting each other with fishing poles for a full minute ngl. Dream went straight aggressive and it wasn't a good move considering it was Techno's home field. Pig lord brought it back real fast but Dream did a good with that bow shot knockback to get him off his trail (it just didn't work lmao)

Round 2:

Both of them don't really attack for a few seconds but thats pretty much a staple of 1.16 pvp. Techno tries the crossbow knockback strat but we can clearly see Manhunt Dream just fuckin rise up with his normal aggressive af play style. Like damn, dude had no mercy.

Round 3:

Fishing 2: electric boogaloo lmao. Techno was really playing it safe this round, backing up and letting Dream come to him. Dream, like the psychopath we all know and love, just fucking rushed Techno. Strat seemed to work for a while before Mr. Blade straight up started murdering Dream. Like, holy shit it was so close Techno won by one (1) heart. I actually screamed at end of this and scared my cat lol.

Round 4:

Techno rolling a 3 on intimidation with that log stripping lmao. Dream really tried to play it safe like the Pig man last round but Techno wouldn't give up! Man kept chasing him until he was cornered. The pressure was there and both of them were fairly aggressive this round. Even with the home field disadvantage Techno fucking owned Dream, Poggers dude.

Round 5:

PSYCHOPATH DREAM MAKES A FUCKING COMEBACK HOLY SHIT??? Dude, if Dream was anymore aggressive he would be my mom with a Karen in a parking lot. Techno really tried to get back but the green just wasn't having it. No chance, A pig lead right into the slaughter hot damn.

Round 6:

Psychopath Dream still going strong with that utter obliteration wtf. Only 2 hearts lost??? This man. Techno really tried to go more aggressive but Dream was shielding like a boss dude. Those axe crits probably felt like a punch to the face to the Potato farmer. It was over so fast too. Might've been the fastest round yet.

Round 7:

Fishing strats honestly saved Techno here. That knockback really threw off Dreams groove and Techno just rushed it when he was distracted.That ending was still pretty close tho. Overall stellar match tho!

Round 8:

Techno had a strong lead that round, those crossbow shots definitely did some damage. But Dreams dodge moves and axe crit combo just gave him the comeback of the century holy fuck. i honestly thought Techno had that. Pog to Dream man

Round 9:

You could really feel the pressure this round. If Techno won this, he literally could not lose. You could tell both parties were being extremely careful. Techno fell back everytime he got hit and they fished each other for a pretty long time. Both of them was reluctant to attack first but Techno went full ham the moment both of them started attacking each other like godamn, man was clicking the shit outta his mouse. He switched to full aggressive the moment he was hit. Dream had it for a second but eventually Techno was just too aggressive ig.

Round 10:

THE FINAL ROUND! THE AMOUNT OF SWEATING I DID LIKE IM NOT EVEN THE ONE WHO'S PVPING WTF. Techno back at it again with the log stripping intimidation lol. Dream really went full manhunt mode on this round tbh, hitting Techno and then using the pillars to dodge and weave and try and get the Pig man's weak spot. But he was really screwed when they fully battled it out. Techno just got way too many hits in for Dream to still play as aggressively as he did. It could've worked, but it didn't this time and Techno got the killing blow.

Overall, the match was pretty neck and neck until the very end imo. It was devastating to watch as a Dream stan but i respect Techno for beating him in 1.16. Man deserves the crown he wears.

Part 20 Curly Kyoshi Zuko

I rewrote it entirely because I was mad that it deleted in the first place. Please enjoy this. It took a lot of effort to recreate, and I think I made it better tbh

The morning after the Seige Kurt found himself tangled up under the sheets with Kahno. His back against the larger man's chest and trapped in his arms as if he was a teddy bear. He shifted a little and cuddled closer, not wanting to wake up. He gasped when his hair was ruffled "good morning little flare" Kahno rumbled out before placing a kiss to the back of Kurt's head

Kurt whined "no, not morning"

"Not morning?" Kahno mused while holding back a laugh as he let Kurt turn around and face him "arent firebenders supposed to rise with the sun?"

"Yeah but it doesn't mean we actually get out of bed, its cold and I dont remember where my jacket went after we came back last night" he wrapped his arms around Kahno's waste and pulled him closer "I just want to stay in bed with you a little bit longer, besides Aang doesnt want to head out until noon so I want to spend as much time as possible with you before I leave"

"I uh, I actually was going to come with you.." Kahno said which made Kurt push back against his chest

"No way!" He was smiling "no way! Are you serious?"

"Yeah, Katara convinced me, she knew we'd be miserable apart so she told me as such and it didn't take much after that... she's pretty terrifying."

Kurt laughed "yeah, she acts like an older sister to me.. even though she's younger"

"Yeah, thats because your tiny"

"Im not THAT tiny"

"Oh yeah?" Kahno smirked "not tiny huh?" He shifted so he was hovering over Kurt who now felt like a mouse beneath a tiger

"Okay. Okay, I get it. And that was fun last night but uh, not... not right now" kurts face couldnt get any redder "I uh, I just want to cuddle please"

Kahno laughed "I know, I was only teasing you." He moved them so Kahno was yet again being held like a teddy bear. "You might be tiny but you demolished a firenation warship in one go-"

"It took all of my energy though, so that sucked"

"Yeah, but you still did it. You're more powerful than you think."

"And so are you!" Kurt retorted back

There was a knock on the door "I know you want to sleep in love birds but youre gonna want breakfast before he hit the air!" Katara called from the other side, though it was a bit muffled.

Kurt let out a loud groan "I dont wanna!"

"Get up now before I come in there and give you a cold healing treatment, you know your cheek isn't fully healed yet"

"Yknow, cold healing actually sounds nice Katara!"

"Oh really?" She opened the door with a hand up at the ready and a devilish grin. "Is that so?"

"Ahh! No! No! I was joking! Katara, please no! Kahno stop her! I'll get up! I'll get up! No! No! Kataraaaaa!!!"

After the cold healing it was breakfast time and Kurt was pouting with Kahno between him and Katara. Sokka however sat on the other side of him "so Mr. 'Destroyed a firenation warship for my boyfriend' how was your night?"

Kurt raised a brow "my night was alright, I spent it at Kahno's hut, what about yours? I head your trio invited princess Yue over to help her grieve about her finances death... oh my gods you guys gave her the group cuddle therapy didnt you!" Sokka nodded and Kurt let out a laugh "group cuddles are the best, especially group cuddle therapy. How's she holding up?"

"Actually she talked mostly about you the whole time, it was hard to tell her you're with Kahno while she's moping around. But she knew about it, she just thinks your adorable, and wanted to know if you could teach her to dance after the war... whatever that means"

Kurt flushed "oh, when she asked me to show her some firebending I showed her my practice forms, which are styled both like waterbending and dance."

Sokka gaped "okay, not you have to show me sometime, you know that right? You can't just tell a man about something that cool and just not show him!"

"I figured you would be spying on me and Katara's bending practice"

"Katara's seen you dance bend!?"

"It's- its not dance bending-"

"It is SO dance bending!"

Kurt sighed "alright, we'll call it dance bending. No she hasn't seen me dance bend, she's seen me firebend in the style of waterbending. Theres a difference. When I bend to relax I bend the fire like its water but I do so while dancing. Katara hasn't seen me dance"

"Wait- you dance?" Katara leaned forward to talk around Kahno "thats amazing! You have got to show us sometime, maybe I can pick up some techniques from watching you!"

Kurt shifted in his seat "yeah, I can show you sometime I guess"

"Will you two leave him alone?" Zuko chimed "He doesn't like being the center of attention... well at lease he doesn't like being the center of attention from multiple people" Zuko glanced up at Kahno who just cleared his throat.

After breakfast the group packed up their things and made their way to the ships where Appa was waiting. Kurt took a stance after tossing his items up and did a quick fire boosted flip into the saddle extinguishing the flames as he went so he didnt hurt anyone or catch anything on fire. Aang airbended himself and Katara onto the Saddle, Suki and Zuko just jumped on and Sokka was helped up by Kahno.

With that theu were in the air and on their way to find Aang and earthbending teacher. On the way there Kahno started rummaging through his bags "hey Kurt, I wanted to give you something, it was originally gonna be a 'promise you'll come back to me' sort of gift but now its more a 'promise we'll both stay alive until this is over' sort of gift." He paused as he pulled out a small deep blue band with three uncarved white stones attached to it. "Traditionally its supposed to be a necklace, but in that sense its betrothal, so I made it as a bracelet to form a sort of... promise?"

Katara and Sokka both looked at eachother while Kurt took hold of the small band. The water siblings were the ones who talked him out of making the necklace but they didn't know he had already made the bracelet. "Its... beautiful" Kurt muttere

"So, uh, do you promis-"

"Yes of course I promise you big cheesefish" he snorted "but you better promise me too" he said as he held out his hand and the bracelet.

"yeah yeah, I promise you, my little flare, that I will not die" Kahno couldnt help the smile on his face and the burning in his cheeks as he tied the bracelet on Kurts wrist.

"Little- little flare!? Oh my gods thats the cutest nickname I've ever heard!" Katara beamed "maybe I could call you that to-"

"No! Only Kahno can call me that, and even thats a stretch. If you dare call me that I won't show you my dancebending"

"I told you it'd stick" Sokka chimed in

The group fell into laughter as the flew away from the pole. Now their band of six was a band of seven.
