Hey, so to be honest I don't really watch eyy lmao's videos. He's shown to be an unreliable narrator for any related to Vivienne and is quite bias. Mitch talks about it with a lot of levity and positivity tbh but hearing mitch even joke and laugh about it makes me sad because it clearly was a really awful experience for him to go through as a rookie. knowing how close mitch was and is to those 3 guys at the bottom - tyler bozak, naz, JVR (his recent italian escapade buddy) - is definitely comforting tho. tag game 🏆 in which natalia (@jiminsproof), heather (@wistfulocean) and elle (@joon-rkive) activate a particular brand of crazy for me. but they probably knew this would happen

so the game itself is simple, rank 34 bangtan lead singles (?) in order of your preference

i will put the rest under the read more because it’s about to get long-winded and opinionated in here 🤙

so first of all...this should have been much easier for me given i created a bts song ranker a few months ago and re-ranked the songs like, last month lmao. however as you can probably guess i overthought this yet again! but after 10 listens i think it’s safe to say i should just stop wasting my time and letting bts completely take over my spotify wrapped for the 3rd year in a row. so my ranking is below. but three FOUR important things before i begin!

1. there is only 1 (one) song on here that i h*te. some of the others aren’t really my thing, but i still enjoy them sometimes! it’s just my taste, if i have any. i joke a lot about my opinions being right but really, truly, these are just opinions

i had to resist adding “but i’m right” here

2. i am ranking these songs based on how i feel about them while listening to them alone with my headphones. i am trying to leave music videos and performances out of it, although there are some performances that have seeped into my soul and i just can’t separate them. but i will let you know when i notice that happening. not all of these songs even have performances (that i know of? did they perform heartbeat?) and with the slow ones ofc the performance might just be them standing onstage in front of microphones so i just don’t think that’s a fair comparison. similar with the mvs, i’m definitely gonna be biased towards the videos with more budget and/or when the members are older lmao so i just don’t want that to be a factor. and there are also some songs that are more fun to listen to while screaming along with your friends and i’m not gonna be able to forget that completely either but again i don’t do that as much with the slow songs and i think they deserve a chance in my ranking. point is i’m TRYING to focus on sound alone. and related to that:

3. i do not speak korean or japanese! i like to look up the meanings of bts songs when i think about it, especially because some of them have such great messages (and others not so much lol) but it’s easy for me to forget that while i’m listening to the songs because i don’t understand many of the words they’re saying. i would say overall that the meaning of the song sometimes makes me like a song more or less, but the language barrier definitely makes that super secondary to me just enjoying the listening experience

4. also! i became a fan during dynamite era. so i might be less attached to some of the old songs (or a song like yet to come!) than people who’ve been fans for longer.

literally no offense to anyone who likes this song if this music gets you going i won’t stop how you move but i want this song to walk the walk out of my life. where to begin...i guess i’ll start with the first time i heard this song, which was the premiere, and i remember watching the music video (i know it’s not supposed to count BUT) with my roommates and at the beginning we were like “oh she’s wearing a mask...is she gonna...” and then she DID. they all did. and we were like are you serious? we stayed up for THIS? like ed sheeran wrote it and i doubt the guys had much creative control of the video esp the scenes they weren’t in but like releasing a song with a music video basically proclaiming COVID is over when it was still a huge problem literally everywhere...YIKES! btw get your omicron boosters folks. ofc the lyrics are generic enough that my friends and i just decided to treat it like a gay rights anthem after the rainbow cowboy performance but even if i could get the horrible taste out of my mouth after that...the song itself still makes me sick. they autotuned the fuck out of it to the point where the chorus sounds like vomit sloshing around in a bucket, the lyrics are empty nonsense, and it’s just not bts! like ed sheeran wrote better songs for one direction, songs that still sounded kind of like ed sheeran songs. this isn’t even ed sheeran’s new sound and it CERTAINLY isn’t bts’ sound. i listen to this song and best case scenario i am tense the entire time waiting for it to be over. my friends and i CHEERED when it dropped down from #1 after one week lmao. the 1 (one) good thing about this song which doesn’t count for my ranking is the sign language built into the dance, that was great! i promise i will not be like this for the rest lmao

okay so absolutely NOTHING against not today but this falls in my category of bts songs where i’m like...”why are you yelling???” which makes absolutely NO sense because i generally LOVE the songs that go hard and this song is kind of allegedly about social justice? which is literally the MOST valid reason to be yelling. and yet...i think this song just makes me feel like i’m in a battle scene in a movie, but not the biblical kind like ON, more like the sci fi and/or youth revolution kind like hunger games where it could feasibly happen in a few hundred years and it just stresses me OUT! when i’m in a really chill mood this song can be fun but in any other situation i’m like someone please get me outta here i’m gonna dieeeEEEE. idk i’m sensitive sometimes. i guess the song does its job though

ahhhh yet to come...again i LOVE the message behind this song and it’s something i need to hear at the tender age of 26. the sound just isn’t really my thing. but the best part of this song is when the rap line comes in on the chorus. specifically yoongi and how PASSIONately he raps his part i really FEEL it in the live performances (not that that’s supposed to count here...). last thing i’ll say is that i feel the need to sing this song more than i feel the need to listen to it, so i guess it’s catchy, but i don’t enjoy the listening experience as much as most of their other songs

i listened to regular butter (#1) ALONE 724 times...i just really wanted it to stay #1 on billboard lol but i kind of was addicted to the song too. i didn’t get really tired of it the whole 10 weeks straight i was listening to it (between other bts songs...i’m not crazy). and i love that it showed bts being confident about themselves because i worry about that sometimes...some of them have anxiety and body image stuff so seeing them like this like oh yeah i’m hot shit again made me really happy. that said, you know, this was definitely a cash grab and the song itself feels very thrown together (unlike dynamite which was basic but seemed to be more ~sonically cohesive~) so i can only rank it so high

getting to my biggest LET ME EXPLAIN moments. a lot of this will be the same as what i say about black swan, i don’t think these songs are meant to stand alone. they don’t sound BAD alone, but they were meant to be performed. it’s true of so many kpop songs but when you take away the performance these songs in particular (compared to other bts songs) just don’t hit nearly the same. i think a part of that might just be the way they were mixed/mastered and what the streaming platforms did to the volume when they were distributed (i am completely pretending to know anything about this). not sure if this is fair to use as a factor because the song itself is still so good, but this is a problem i have with songs from other artists too where they sound so good with speakers but then with your headphones it’s just...disappointing. ON in particular sounds a bit quiet and almost restricted in my headphones, while other bts songs sound a lot louder and fuller at the same volume. like when you watch ON being performed, you are ON the battlefield WITH the marching band watching them fight and it’s incredible. when you’re listening to ON alone on your headphones you are watching a war movie with bts as actors and half of them aren’t great actors and no one knows how to use the weapon they’re holding except yoongi. it’s like watching the ON cinematic music video when you could be watching the kinetic manifesto dance performance. it will just never compare

i think i made my point with ON but i will just add here that it makes more sense for black swan to not hit in general just because the whole point of the song is like losing passion for music. and it’s not *just* an r&b pop dance song like i think the orchestral elements and the vocal distortions make it super unique. but without the performance, again, it just doesn’t hit the same at all. musically this song is like edging to me. it kind of builds and then goes steady and you’re waiting for it to flourish but then it doesn’t, it just goes “do your thang” and i’m just like dudes what does that even mean. i don’t know what your thing is either. and again maybe that goes with the meaning of the song but i’m just never satisfied unless i’m watching the music video or a dance performance. so that’s why this masterpiece is here on the list

i'm slowly circling around hermitcraft (i keep telling myself i'm not going to get into another minecraft smp thing, i did my days in the yogscast mines) and it's so compelling. i won't lie. what would you, personally, suggest as a starting point for someone who hasn't watched any of these people before? even without knowing these characters, your hermitcraft fic is so good that i want to learn more about them

yeah see, i told myself that too and then dsmp and 3rd life and hermitcraft happened and. here i am. back in the pits again!! having the time of my life about it ngl.

so, okay, my first caveat would be: fandom does a lot of heavy lifting re: it having a plot. like... i'd say they're less plotty than the yogs were, with season 8 being an honourable exception. so don't go in expecting that my fic has uhhhhh. really any relation to canon lmao. (though to be fair, it didn't really in yogs either, so...)

first option: watch an episode of Hermitcraft Recap (a channel that does a weekly "what happened on hermitcraft this week" highlights video), see if any of the things mentioned take your fancy, and then check out the channel of the hermit that did it. this is good if you're hunting for someone doing a specific Thing in minecraft, rather than streamer personality.

second option: see the rec list below, and check out one of those people's season 8. season 8 is now over, but it was very short compared to regular seasons - so a lot of the excitement gets compressed and amped up, and it's a good way to really get an idea of what people are about. it will give you an unrealistic idea of how plotty hermitcraft gets, especially the end, because they went absolutely off the shits with that one, but it's a great season.

third option: see the rec list below, and jump straight into season 9 - either at the beginning of someone's series, or at the current point, or skip around through various people's things. we're like 20-ish eps in, depending on the person, but honestly it's pretty easy to dip in and out; we just had a big Plot Development with rendog getting crowned king of the server, so it's a good time to start! rec list (biased to the people i watch, obvs! the others are great too, but these are my faves), to help you decide who to pick:

Literally no idea but you should watch him: Joe Hills (very odd, currently hyperfixated on pinball machines, i find him very soothing for reasons that escape me, writes haikus for his episodes????)

fourth option: some of what you've seen from me will be from 3rd / last / double life, a bunch of semi-hardcore "death games" series run by grian and involving a bunch of hermits (plus some other friends, including inthelittlewood from the yogscast!). these are great, and i watched these before hermitcraft, and then based who i was watching in hc on what i'd seen there. double life is happening rn and we're only 3 eps in, so it'd be easy to catch up! it's basically a soulmate au but in minecraft, because grian is insane; i'm really enjoying BdoubleO100, PearlescentMoon, Tango, Rendog, and Grian (Scar is on a weird zookeeping arc, godbless, so he's in my bad books until he starts killing again. otherwise, the go-to rec is Grian or Scar's pov of 3rd Life, which sent me fucking insane.

pray for me, y'all.... im finally trying to actually read some of my old required philosophy readings from uni..... nearly 10 years later... all bc I could start to feel my brain rotting from the inside out, from all the fb watch bs and youtube shorts and general yt stuff bullshit that I've been watching non-stop since I left my job in march lmao.

part of this, is me starting to use my brain to actually read a Physical Book™️ as well.... bc last week I went to get the undercarriage of my car fixed at the car body shop..... I went to that area's local mall to kill the hour and a half they took to fix it. in the food court of the mall, they had a community library shelf thing, that so many places have now.... where people just leave their unused old books for people to peruse while eating a subway, or fish and chips meal, or whatever else for lunch.

on that shelf, I finally jumped onto/into Michelle Obama's memoir Becoming.... which i've been meaning to listen to the audiobook of on scribd (which I've deactivated since I'm broke rn); for ages. and y'all. I can't stop reading it. it's made me finally look into international relations, which was a subject I always wanted to do at uni... but just didn't want to do the debating side of it lmao (and also bc I was thinking of doing it if I'd applied for that cadetship at my local uni.... which I didn't lmao). I'm reading my old intro to philosophy textbook- philosophy for everyone (ebook).... which I completely and utterly ignored during undergrad on purpose.

just. say what you want about the Obama's. but at least Michelle has kicked my ass into paperback reading, and philosophy text overdrive.... making me realise just how dead and numb my brain has been; since I dropped causal reading of ANY books as a hobby..... for endless tumblr, youtube shorts (and now also actors reviewing their careers through vanity fair or GQ)..... endless make-up or skincare review/tutorial videos or endless repeats of some of my fave stand up comics bits from their netflix specials or w/e (which I've watched so often now that I can recite some of them word for word or paraphrase them well enough in a semi-okay impression of them).... just an endless stream of bullshit, really.

just yeah. at least im reading again. and finally using my brain. im not using my phone for like at least an hour or two (2) at a time, when I really get into the groove of reading. it's wild tbh. but I will really have to train my brain not to re-read and re-read and re-read, ad infintum, one or two sentences on a page; whilst trying to read philosophy texts like on liberty (like im attempting rn lmao). bc that's exactly how I gave up on all of my philosophy readings in the first place..... bc having to re-read a sentence like 3 times made me feel stupid asf.

yeah. im just here to say. for the love of god. pick up a print book every once in a while. or hell, even an e-book through your local library's e-book app (eg, libby/overdrive or borrowbox). or if you have one, your kindle (that's where some of my international relations stuff is and my old philosophy textbook) or other e-reader. and yeah I know. once I get a job (lmao the job markets shit) I won't be raving like this, about wanting to read anything other than an audiobook on the way to and from work everyday. I'll end up back in the loop of nothing but fb watch etc. I will be the last person to join, if at all, the company's book-club. I didn't even join the short lived one at my old work.

just try to make an effort to read something, anything. get the fuck away from youtube and other social media reels/shorts etc etc brain rot and read... idek comics or something fun. a kids' book, like Grug or the little miss/mister men, just for shits and giggles, to turn off your brain... instead of going down the reels and shorts or tiktok holes so often that you can literally feel your brain melting to mush.

laliga being a lil bitch as per usual but the sheer number of videos like this i used to hoard in my bookmarks to watch over and over because watching neymar made my chest explode into glitter. I started watching Ney because my partner at the time was a brazilian dude who was obsessed with neymar and santos so i was like, alright, I'll try. and then I really saw Neymar. my feelings now are all a result of the weird combo of circumstance and emotion: it was the time, the place, the community i found online for fcb. funnily enough I don't remember watching a single game with my boyfriend, other than a few clasicos i watched with him and one of the only nice madridistas i've ever met irl, i know he was there but he's just out of frame in these memories, i was so focused on the game and then the after party, coming on tumblr and talking with other people who loved him and barca the same way. it was important to me. Ney and his meet cute story of being able to play with Messi, the way he moved, his skinny little legs and embarassing insta uploads, the way he and dani would dance in spite of the ire of the spanish crowd....man.

i am a professional nostalgia merchant lmao so im just here to enable you. think nostalgia is an extremely beautiful human instinct, because while it is born from loss, it is kind of remarkably warm. a gorgeous rosy encapsulation of the best moments of something, cherry-picked for your own soothing, for brightening your internal world and doing that double-dip into being in love. for a moment you can just catch the edge of what it felt like, truly, before it slips away and fades into a softer re-imagining: the past, and you're still here. Neymar has been faded and soft for me for a while because I'm seven years older and more present in the real world, not the love-world of watching him, but I still would see him play sometimes with a dismal psg side and it would be back, that love, the embarrassing pull of it that defies logic. so I am also going to mourn this and then make dumb jokes about it and then also get kind of mad at the colossal waste because it's all a part of it. its always fine to bring this to me. what else are we on this goddamn website for!!!!

February 2024 Goal Update

2024 Goals

Home: Paint craft room closet doors-not until spring New tank for the Lizard of Oz-current tank is good for now, just looking at different options to maximise his space- spring task , might build something custom and just can’t do that in our space rn!

Personal: Grow out my hair, no dying or cutting it- I cut that shit off to my chin. It's honestly been refreshing to have little hair but also I miss being able to style my hair so I am excited to grow it out. Study 30 minutes a day about spirituality- this has been hard but I've been taking my time everyday to dive into my spirituality in one way or another, no specific times set aside but I have been! Go to two workshops- not yet Go to the observatory- Maybe summer! This month has been janky for weather.

Fitness: 30 minutes to one hour of exercise per day, 5-6 times a week- exercise bike has been great! I've gotta get more consistent though. Aim for 10k steps a day- I've been better! Learn to rollerskate- not yet- warmer seasons Explore two new hiking trails-not yet -warmer seasons

Hobbies: Sewing- on hold, sewing machine is out of commission. Sew one spring/summer dress, bell sleeve 60s swing style dress-not yet Use up fabric stash with various projects or one big patchwork project-not yet One embroidery project-DONE, Mom's Embroidery #2

Reading: Read 12 books in total-not yet Read 3 Classic Novels-not yet Read one old forgotten favourite-not yet

Highlights:

We bought my husband his new PC!! He also ordered more ram for it. We worked on adding another 1TB HDD to my PC too which is nice! It was so cool to open up my pc and learn more about it especially while getting to spend time with my boy.

Valentine's day was chill but a lovely one! My hubby surprised me with a Mabel amiibo and it's quite lovely! We had a simple takeout date and spent the night at home.

I tried Lion’s Mane mushroom with my hubby for the first time and it was delicious! I love the texture but I need to improve on how they are prepped.

I started watching Only Murders in The Building with my boy and it's been great! We’re on season three.

I finished my Barbataurus Gunpla!! So happy with how it turned out! I just adore his design.

My hubby ordered me three new Gunpla kits that I'm excited to dive into!! He got me an orange Haro. I love his burgundy and pink details. 🥺 I also have Beargguy III #05 and Chinagguy on the way too!! I'm so excited to dive into more model kits. I just love building and making things and I wish I discovered this hobby sooner! I already have such a long wishlist! I also fixed up my SD Gundams and put them all together on display!

We didn’t play many video games together this month but our next RPG together is going to be SMT III: Nocturne!

I started learning how to do granny squares, my goal is to be able to make the Roseanne afghan next year if I get it figured out!

I got a pair of endless hoop earrings in gold tone surgical steel which are so comfy for lounging! I am so bad at keeping my earrings in esp since I lost one of my nice earrings.

I ordered an Isabelle fall amiibo, HYPED!!! I don’t have any of her Amibos uwu

I added a blue velvet backing to my brass unicorn frame and it is so freaking cute.

I reorganised some of the kitchen and living room wall decor.

I unfollowed EVERYONE on my cosplay/hobby insta, which is nice. I just use my personal insta for looking at media socials or artists!

I started a tag for my hubby I can use consistently to fill with things I wanna show him since he doesn’t use Tumblr often hehehe

I started talking to an old friend and coworker and it’s been lovely! I need to get better at going out and visiting but it's nice to connect with a friend that I haven’t spoken with in a long while!! I’ve discovered that I work best in friendships with little requirement of daily chit chat but also that it’s nice to have those days where you have a buddy you can chat with while you get things done during the day. I’m also def a phone call lady and I can’t wait until the warmer weather so I can just charge up my phone and go on walks and call my fam and friends and explore with them over the phone.

We watched Elimination Chamber and it was a good ppv! Woke up at 4am to watch it so I hope so LOL

I bought my first short skirts for daily wear in YEARS, they are skorts so I don’t have to wear bloomers every time. I am nervous but it’s gonna be my leg summer some days!! We got the hubby some new summer shorts too uwu

Okay okay, I think this is the end of my highlights LOL There is still stuff I am forgetting but lots of things I’ve had fun diving into! I am so excited for March and all that comes with it! Here’s to the end of February!🧸💞

Let me ask you something, are you a movie person? Or you prefer TV shows? What are some of your favourite generes to watch? -🎁

omg i've tried to answer this like 3 times but i keep just ending up talking about how hard it is for me to watch new shows and then deleting it because before i know it, i've typed three paragraphs about "yeah i just rewatch teen wolf or avatar (2009) constantly." hdkshdkd but thank you for the reassurance that my neverending chats are enjoyable haha.

this is embarrassingly hard to answer, because, i love the experience of going to a theatre to see a movie, and i like how with movies once the movie is over, that's it. it's quick to watch, easy to re-watch from start to finish, and you don't have to worry about catching up on new episodes or anything, it's just there. but im super bad at watching shows unless im watching it with somebody. like, okay, my best friend introduced me to teen wolf a couple years ago, and it's my favorite show ever. and i watched every single episode with her, either in person or over video chat. but now she's trying to get me to watch vampire diaries and wednesday, but we're not watching them together, so it's really tedious for me and i struggle to pay attention and remember details. i started watching vampire diaries on halloween and im only eleven episodes in, to give you perspective on just how hard it is for me.

and so instead of watching new shows and movies, i stick to the ones i've seen before and just watch those repeatedly. so if im in the mood to watch a show, i'll just put an episode of teen wolf on, and if im in the mood for a movie, i put avatar (2009) on.

ugh. again. three paragraphs on it. so short answer, i think in theory im more into shows if im watching with other people, but in practice i tend to gravitate towards movies? but im a reader more than anything, so i tend to read on my phone or kindle while i watch movies, and i usually make something with perler beads while i watch shows. and as for genres, i like dramas, mainly. but also older shows like green acres (i once wrote a paper relating green acres to my adhd and won an award for it B) and i dream of jeannie. i like dystopian films, but also romcoms, and i guess action, but not like "it's all fighting and nothing else" action, y'know? i don't know. i haven't really thought much about my favorite cinema genres and idk WHY it's so hard for me to answer? it's just easier for me to give you the titles of movies i enjoy i guess.

fallen order lives rent free in my head

It's been like 3 weeks since I finished star wars jedi fallen order and it continues to live in my thoughts randomly so I just want to mind dump all of it here. tldr if you have not played the game you absolutely should!! one of my favorites of all time, it's fairly rare for a game to invade my thoughts and make me wish I could re-experience it all again for the first time (ok triangle strategy I also felt that way but I've just been playing more bangers recently) I'll get the spoiler-free stuff out of the way- it very much entirely feels like you are playing a star wars movie. And yeah "it really makes you feel like [thing]" is perhaps the most cliche thing to say about any video game but respawn really put their heart and soul into the presentation of this game because there is SO MUCH that's cinematic, and not in the way that the cliche mid-2010's AAA games just felt like you were watching a movie and pressing a couple buttons. The environments are super star wars (though the first major planet is kind of Just Ok in that regard), and the cinematic details of the cutscenes and ziplining and everything just feel awesome. The music goes without saying is super good, you could say it's derivative of John Williams but like, that's *entirely the point* and they do it super well. The characters feel extremely human in line delivery and animation, which is a thing that apparently we are still struggling with in current day. The only thing it's missing is the title scroll lmao Combat is very fluid once you get a hang of it, and even though you technically only have access to a few force abilities (being a goody two shoes jedi) throughout the whole game they add a lot to how you can approach enemies. It does feel sort of diet soulsborne, but that's entirely excused by the fact that you are a using a FUCKING LIGHTSABER it's so cool lol. And there's wallrunning and some parkour stuff that respawn excels at. If you are vaguely interested in souls games and/or metroidvanias I 100% recommend it, playing on the 2nd highest difficulty it was the right difficulty for me (on par with like hollow knight difficulty), but grandmaster sounds like the true souls bullshit experience if you really want that. ~~~~~~~~~Spoilers start here~~~~~~~~~~ I've gushed for a bit so I'll start here with the criticisms I had. Ultimately they all kind of boil down to "I wish the game was longer" and for a 20 hour (non-jrpg) game even that's kind of praise lol. But I did wish there was more of a final act twist or just something besides what you probably could have guessed would happen from the very start. That being "you find all 3 tombs and you get the holocron and the Second Sister steals it and you have a final confrontation with her and take back the holocron and end credits". That said there is a lot of character development for both Cal and Cere and a lot of lore building so I still found the story overall incredibly enthralling but I just wish there was *more* overarching y'know. You don't spend that much time with dual wield lightsabers and your own kyber crystal before you realize you're pretty much at the finale. And with only like 4 planets I just wished there were more places to go so there could be a lot more enemy types and boss varieties etc. And also I kind of wish the Nightsister did something more like idk fight alongside or teach Cal some combat techniques or something (but I assume that will probably be a thing in Jedi Survivor) but since she gets pretty much added to the crew at the end of the penultimate chapter she couldn't be particularly impactful besides saving Cal in the finale. Ultimately I think that's more an issue of "this is a prequel game to the main movie trilogy" than an issue with the game itself, by which I mean you know Cal can't entirely save the Jedi Order and defeat Darth Vader and Palpatine because that's what Luke Skywalker has to do. So when Darth Vader shows up and that awesome finale sequence happens there's a little bittersweetness because you know you aren't gonna *fight* him (or it'll be a scripted loss/he gets away due to some bullshit). It's the sort of phenomenon that I always talk about when people say like "man I wish Age of Calamity was a REAL prequel to BotW" like it functionally is for most of it except now you don't *actually* know the ending so there are actual stakes. Is it "less dark"? Sure, I guess, but I feel like going the entire story knowing the champions are all going to die would put a damper on the amazing character development and interactions throughout the game knowing none of it really matters because they're all gonna die and you know how they're gonna die from BotW. And just a nitpick is I wish the dual wield lightsabers were like a thing you could wield as a main weapon and not just a combo finisher lol but that's just me I fucking love dual wield it's always so sick!! But the combat is already super smooth, transitioning between single and dual blade lightsaber is very satisfying and weaving in force abilities and dodging it's already super fucking good, it could just be much sicker if you could just dual blade some fools. Going back to the story and characters, I just love pretty much the entire cast from beginning to end, allies and enemies. I could go through all of them one by one but like it's way too much to talk about I'd just recap the entire game lmao. Particular highlights are of course Cal's growth and tackling his trauma from Order 66 (an INCREDIBLE sequence built off of the "tutorial segments") and how it mirrors Cere's similar journey as they converge and work together in the finale, Second Sister and Merrin being badasses just in general, and the intro. Oh and of course BD-1. Just in general. BD-1 is a friend :) Map/dungeon design is also a highlight, there are a surprising amount of pretty interesting puzzles that I'd be shocked if they weren't directly inspired by Zelda dungeons. They're the puzzles that seem like the overall answer is fairly obvious but you just have to sit and think, run around, scratch your head as you figure out HOW to put together the answer. Yes, Fallen Order is one of my favorite Zelda games. (Alternatively, the Zelda team needs to make Zelda into a dedicated metroidvania it would bang!!!) I do wish there was better quick travel (or am I just spoiled by hollow knight benchwarp mod?) to better encourage exploring but I found that it generally wasn't really a huge issue; Dathomir is kind of a pain to get around but I never really hated backtracking for secrets, just wished I could benchwarp lol Moment to moment I loved the game and characters and music and cinematic presentation and I'm really hoping Jedi Survivor can push these pros even further and add even more cool combat options and add a little more QoL and be a like 100 hour game that would be cool. Just please don't pretend to be another game and instead build on Fallen Order's unique flavor in the sequel (looking at you Ori 2)(August 2022)

1. what is a bts song you recently rediscovered? (you listened to it again for the first time in a long time and fell in love) Intro: Skool Luv Affair. That “You give me life” by the middle hits so fucking hard.

2. how often do you re-watch bts music videos? do you think knowing their music videos is as important as knowing lyrics? I’ve honestly never been a big fan of music videos, even before BTS...and I admit that’s a bit of a flaw on my end because I know a big part of the BU comes to life in their music videos. I do try to rewatch them every now and then, but it’s not very often at all. As for their importance, they’re definitely important - especially those that fall under the BU storyline.

3. what is your favourite song to see in concert? Not just concerts but in music shows, award shows – Dionysus. Easily. Dope is also a lot of fun and I am OBSESSED with the rock and roll spin they did to the live version.

4. everybody was once a baby army. what is a stupid thing you believed as a baby army that is funny now? That Taehyung gave up being part of the rapline to offer it to Hobi instead.

5. tell me a story about how you almost became an army earlier but missed your chance. I had virtually zero chances before 2020, to be completely honest with you; they just weren’t on my radar besides me occasionally catching Boy With Luv on the radio when I used to drive to school. The closest would probably be sometime in late 2020, when Angela was already into BTS and was trying to get me on board. My Spotify search history revealed I apparently listened to Dynamite in December of that year but nothing came out of that; I only started getting invested in them for real by the end of March 2021.

6. what do you think about kpop music? what makes it enjoyable/un-enjoyable for you? I think it could be very complicated for anyone who isn’t into it. There is a very common sentiment of “I don’t get it” or “I don’t see myself ever liking K-Pop” for those who don’t listen to it – and I completely get it as I used to think like that, with the language barrier being a huge, if not the main deterrent. But then that moment of spark happens - maybe a member being hilarious, hearing the right song at just the right time? - that gets the ball rolling for every future fan. And all of a sudden you get the songs. You get the excitement and you get the thrill. It’s a very “if you’re in you’re in if you’re out you’re out” sort of relationship, I think.

I personally don’t find any unenjoyable part about the genre – it’s the machinery I have a problem with, like in the way they force idols into extremely rigid diets or the way they dress those who are debuting and are like 15 years old.

7. if you listen to kpop, name your top 5 kpop acts (non-bts) I don’t listen to other acts as much as I do BTS but I do enjoy SHINee, Twice, Jessi, Enhypen, and Ravi.

8. fill in the blank: armys need to stop fighting with __________ Blinks. They are a waste of time, lmao.

9. what is a bts song that hits home for you? Life Goes On, just because it’s the song that permanently converted me into a fan. I cried when I heard it for the first time. 00:00 as well.

10. how would you (realistically) react if you ran into a bts member in the wild? Run the fuck away. My ass would be terrified LMAO

12. what is one food from your country that you think bts will love? Those boys like anything pork so I’d probably serve them sisig. Plus points because it’s spicy, too.

13. how long did it take you to listen to their entire discography? Not too long, honestly. I can’t remember too clearly anymore but I’m pretty sure I binged all their albums within a week. Soundcloud is a different story though; it took me a few months to catch up with their unreleased songs and demos.

14. what is the one song that you looped endlessly as a baby army? Dionysus and Singularity. Dionysus was because MMA 2019 was the first performance of theirs I watched and was hoooooooooked on how they did the song. Singularity became an obsession after I watched Bang Bang Con 2021 and lost my shit over Tae singing on a bed. I literally made a “singularity but make it 10 times” playlist on Spotify that I still keep around haha.

15. what was the first bts lyric that made you realize bts are incredible songwriters? Ma City. Just that entire song and being able to incorporate each of their hometowns...so cool. There’s also this really good Korean wordplay on Butterfly that has stuck with me ever since – it’s from Namjoon’s verse and he raps, “My love that is forever, it's all free for you.” I won’t get into the actual wordplay anymore since it’s a little complicated but my god, what a stroke of genius.

16. have you ever tried to get an irl into bts? how did that work out? Not really. I like to gatekeep my boys, lol.

17. what is the first thing you would teach bts in your language? Probably something useful like asking for the restroom so they can get around easily hahaha.

18. if bts came to your country and you were their personal guide, where would you take them? Zambales. It’s a lowkey beach town and I feel like they could get a lot of rest and recharging there. When it comes to nearby places, probably Pinto but I feel like it’d only be Namjoon who’d enjoy it the most.

19. do you think "ot7" accounts that only tweet about one member are suspicious? I’ve stopped being on Army Twitter but I mean it depends? We all have our biases and that’s fine - I tweet about Tae a sickening amount on my personal lol - but if it crosses over to literally never voicing your support for the other six, making an unnecessary fuss about line distribution, or even outright hating on the other members then that’s a glaring red flag for a solo right there.

20. if there was a criteria to attend bts concerts, what should it be? Know the fanchants. I will never get over the silence when they performed I Need U at the recent LA shows.

21. do you think we should gatekeep bts from shitty fans, or is any amount of support valuable? Yeah there is definitely no place for stalkers, those who go overboard with shipping, those who bully other fans, solos. I’m well aware it’s a shitty fandom which is why I lasted all of like, a month on stan Twitter.

22. tag the person who makes army twitter feel safer / more enjoyable for you It wasn’t enjoyable for me to begin with which is why I left. I also felt too old for it.

23. who is your favorite bts pet? i personally like yeontan, he has a lot of attitude Oooh this is cruel, I love all of them an equal amount.

24. what is the army twitter discourse that you never want to see again? feel free to rant Can’t relate.

25. favourite hobi verse...go I don’t really have a favorite verse per se...but I would say that the entirety of Boy Meets Evil has to be one of my favorite solo performances.

27. what is your favorite nickname for the members? i personally love baby star candy and mimi I use Yoongles a lot. The names they give each other are also cute haha, like Jjwan and Jwehope.

28. what do you check before you send tweet? do you think about whether it will get you cancelled or do you just not care? Can’t relate, I haven’t been on Army Twitter for a few months now. The idea of getting cornered for the smallest things is actually one of the reasons I stopped wanting to be on there; it seemed as though people were just looking for the next thing to disapprove of.

29. how often do you cry (real tears) over bts? It’s usually when I’m feeling depressed since that’s when I would decide to listen to their comfort songs, like 00:00. Fortunately it doesn’t happen a lot. I think if I had become a fan earlier I definitely would have cried more with them... that’s what I envy older fans about. I feel like they get to have a closer relationship with them just because of the shit they went through from 2016 to 2018.

30. do you avoid talking about bts in front of your irls? No not really, everyone knows me as pretty much a living and breathing BTS megaphone lol. Like I said on a previous question, I don’t try to get them into the boys.

32. who are your parents' favourite bts member? my mom likes jungkook My dad doesn’t really have a favorite as he’s always simply focused on being able to match their names to their faces, haha. I will say though that he remembers Namjoon in particular because of his English skills, so I guess that’s close to being the favorite as it can get. My mom can’t tell them apart no matter how hard she tries and is generally not into them.

33. have you ever attempted a bts choreography, and how did that work out? i tried to do the chorus of idol and fell on my ass Well I can’t dance, so I’ve never tried doing choreo in that I’ve attempted to film videos. I do like moving along to Dionysus, Fire, and Mic Drop though lo.

34. what is your favourite ot7 collab and why? it could be reasons unrelated to the music Idk if this means a sub-unit song or a collab with a completely different artist but in any case I’ll answer with both. Fave sub-unit song would beeeee either The Truth Untold (it’s their most sing-alongable song) or UGH! (because why would it not be anyone’s favorite???). Fav collab with an artist...I’d have to go with Suga’s Interlude with Halsey. I find the lyrics really touching.

35. favourite / most bearable / least annoying american award show? I don’t really pay attention to award shows anymore. All I know is that the Grammys keep fucking them over but at least they let them have a really big performance this year. All the other ones I feel I’m too old for now.

36. what is the most memorable milestone in bts' career that you have experienced as an army? for me, it's when they got their first #1 on bb I haven’t been part of a lot of milestones, unfortunately. Maybe when they opened their individual Instagrams? I know the older fans have been waiting for that to happen for years.

37. what is your honest opinion on no-jammers Hahahaha.

38. this might be a strange question, but how long did it take you to trust bts? for me, it took a few months before i grew to trust bts the way i do now It was a couple of months for me. I became a fan in April and I was mostly an obsessed new fan at the start of it all, but then there was one night during Festa month when they posted a Mikrokosmos performance. If I’m not mistaken that was the last time they did the song before the pandemic hit, and the emotions I saw when they performed it and just that whole vibe of it being Festa month really helped secure it for me.

39. favourite reality show? it could be run bts, bon voyage, in the soop, etc Bon Voyage is a whole lot of fun, but I have to say I’ll always be an In the Soop simp. That show is my absolute shit.

40. small habits of the members that make your heart flutter? For Namjoon it’s when he translates stuff for the members, no matter how short the phrase is; for Jin it’s the scrunching of his nose that I find adorable hahaha; Yoongi’s has to be :] without a doubt; I personally like it when Hobi slaps the boys – that’s when you know he’s having a fuck ton of fun lmao; Jimin’s sarcastic aegyo is hilarious; Taehyung’s is Tata Mic; then for Jungkook it’d probably be whenever he gets annoyed at the boys but can’t really do anything about it since he’s theh youngest, hahahaha.

41. be honest... do you loop If I do, it’s on YouTube. I try not to loop on Spotify because I want to get those streaming numbers up.

42. do you ever feel guilty for not listening to a song often enough? Yeah, I think this is me with my favorite song – Butterfly. I want the song to keep feeling as special as it had felt for me the first time I heard it, so I try to pace my listening to it so that I don’t get tired of the song.

43. are you the type to remember specific dates, such as the day a song was released or the day a member wore something iconic? I’m this way with my other fandoms, but considering I’ve been a BTS fan for only a little over a year I still have a lot of memorizing and remembering to do.

44. which member's music taste is most similar to yours? Honestly, none of them. But Namjoon does remind me a lot of myself considering how all over the place his music taste is.

45. what are some hopes you have for bts in the future? personally, i hope they could release music at their own pace without feeling pressure to put out new albums constantly I wish they could have significant others and kids like normal people eventually, without having to face backlash from irritating fans.

46. have you ever tried to learn korean? how did that work out? Yeah, I’ve been learning indirectly for years now; I picked up Hangeul all by myself simply from the variety/reality shows I had been watching. I won’t be able to survive a full conversation, but I feel like I’d be able to survive as a tourist in Korea at least by being able to read stuff.

47. us armys only: do you think we can get a #1 on bb with all their future comebacks? (official ot7 releases) I’m not from the US but I definitely think the popularity would wane at some point. It happens with everyone and shouldn’t be anything to freak out about.

48. $1000 magically appeared on your lap but you can only spend it on bts. what would you do? personally, i want the jungkook mood lamp </3 MUTE BOSTON BAG and Taehyung FMV5.

49. a hobby of yours that you'd like to get bts into? it could be a tv show or a game you're really into lately My favorite hobby is already something that Namjoon likes doing - going to museums and exhibits. I can see Taehyung getting into Audrey Hepburn films and I’d be super excited if he ever goes down that road.

50. what type of oomf / account would bts be on army twitter? i think jungkook would be one of those mysterious editmys that drop an amazing edit then disappear for 2 weeks That Jungkook one is hilariously accurate. I feel like Hobi (and maybe Jin) would be one of those people who predominantly qrt’s stuff???? Jimin and Yoongi would be inactive. I can’t really think of personas for the other members; idk Army Twitter well enough.
