ayo it's my favorite girl's bday (tw: trauma, nsfw)

maya sakamaki: birthday headcanons

maya doesn't usually celebrate her birthday tho

she might've celebrated her own bday as a child, happily chanting the happy bday song before making a wish and blowing the candles

but the thing is on her 7th bday, her parents sold her to a brothel. that's why all her bday could remind her of is that "you exist to be sold"

so ever since then, maya has never thought of holding a party or telling people her bday

ofc her former master, gilbert feinze, knew when her bday is but since she doesn't want to celebrate, gilbert just makes her take a week off from her duties as a vampire doll

but now that she's married to kanato and has become a full-fledged vampire, she thinks there's no reason to remember her bday anymore like why would she? vampires live longer than humans and age slower than them so there's no reason for her to remember her age or something

that's what maya thought until yui encouraged her to celebrate her bday even once to commemorate her being alive or something like "it's the day you were born so you should be glad about it" (ofc yui how easy to say those words huhu)

so maya bought like two magazines from the nearby convenience store to check for bday celebration tips until she heard these two girls talking abt what kind of present they wanted from their boyfriend

"Hmm... I want my boyfriend to be my present, though?"

"Eh? Like him in a birthday suit?"

"Yeah. It's hot, for me at least."

and so maya went home, turned on her laptop, and searched for this thing they called birthday suit and voila the next thing she's browsing on the infamous yellow and black website (p*rn I don't wanna spell out for you)

ya know what this girl did? fvcking watched the whole scene and got intrigued by the story 😭😭😭 she even made popcorn

but yeah she also immediately turned it off once the sex part started bcos she thinks it's disgusting

and so maya decided not to celebrate her bday after all

yeah that was the decision until kanato (along with ayato and laito) went home from demon world and surprise surprise! HE KNOWS WHEN HER BIRTHDAY IS

so she was still asleep on their bed when kanato kissed her head and woke her up, presenting a huge box along with a 2-tier birthday cake that looked like it came from a vintage movie bcos of its white icing with pink swirls and skewed handwriting

and to her surprise, he was wearing a black suit

"Happy birthday, Maya-san," he whispered in her ear with a smile so genuine you wouldn't believe it's kanato. "I made this gift for you. I hope you'll wear it to our mini tea party that I had prepared."

and so the familiars started dressing her up in this white poofy dress with her hair tied up in a bun and matching fancy hat leather mary janes, and white lace gloved; yes she basically is dressed as a white victorian lady

truth be told, there was an elegant tea party set by kanato and maya felt that something strange will happen (even though there are times when kanato is just 'behaved') bcos there was an eerie sense in the way the middle triplet smiles at her, observing her every move like a predator watching his prey

he presented her with a bday cake, simple with the words "happy bday, maya-san" on top and asked her to blow the candles, to which she did

and when they were eating cake, kanato decided to stand, take every piece away of food and tea from the table, and walk towards maya, kneeling in front of her as he held her chin

"I've been bothered by how pure and beautiful the dress I made you. I think it needs something."

in one swift move, maya was sprawled on the table with kanato hovering on top of her, and then he cut open the flesh from her exposed shoulders, spreading the blood all over her dress as he caught a whiff of her addicting scent

maya understood the reason behind his act, smiling mischievously as she untied the ribbon around his dress shirt's collar, exposing his neck to her

"I heard from Teddy you wanted to wear a birthday suit for your big day."

"Did I live up to your expectations, then?"

"No, Maya-san. You've become my reality."

after that, he bit her neck, sucking the blood out of her as she held his hand and bit on his finger, savoring each other's taste for pleasure bcos they knew no amount of food can satisfy their hunger

once done, kanato grinned, sitting on the chair as he pulled maya, making her sit on top of him. the bday cake was still intact as he presented it to her. she was a bloody mess of an art, looking down at him with unsatisfied eyes.

"Happy birthday, Maya-san. Bon appetit!"

oh yeah lol no it's totally just a joke. like this nb headcanon for this character is totally just a joke. I'm super emotionally invested in this character specifically being he/him nonbinary. like that's very important to me and I will always always reiterate it to be the case. it's just like a Bit tho. just a Goof. just a silly thing. yeah

what? me? no, I'm cis. yeah I'm cis for sure. yeah, definitely. totally 100% cis for sure. yeah. yep. cis the gender, it me.

what? that character I was talking about? oh yeah absolutely my favourite character, for sure. I wish he was in more stuff. I draw him all the time lol. but I'm just memeing for real. just a joke. just a goof. it's just like a meme character lol

why are you pointing to all my big boxes and folders labelled "why we as a culture should care more about comedy and memes as an art form that reflects reality in a deeply true sense"? yeah I believe that. yeah, jokes and memes and goofs are super important, and they can have deeper meanings and stuff without losing any of their humour value.

oh that? that's just my "all characters I like are bisexual" meme. yeah, the gag there is that I'm bi, and I like assigning my identity onto characters I like. yeah I do that all the time

yeah, I have a funny silly meme headcanon that my favourite character from my favourite video game franchise is he/him nonbinary, and also that character is of the character type I always really really strongly identify with, and I have a tendency to ascribe my own identity onto characters I really like, and I have a firm belief that silly memes can hold important truths while still being funny.

Waw I'm answering this so late it's crazy! What's a ship you like that most people don't?

Actually there are quite a lot because most of my ships are totally fanon so they aren't that popular amongst the fandom. I would say tho that a ship I really like that isn't popular in Winx fandom has to be Klaus/Morgana. Yes they are underdeveloped and seem to appear out of nowhere but I just feel like they complete each other perfectly. Morgana is a queen calm, trying her best to be fair and she has the responsability to take care of all a people while Klaus is kinda goofy trying to take care of his bar and his daughter with a sense of organization near the zero. He's the funny part she needs and she's the only one to calm him down and make him relax. They fit well.

But as a non-canon couple I would say Icy/Timmy. Listen, I know he's afraid of her but I just can't help but love a dynamic where one is in power but also vulnerable to what the other think and says and doesn't even realizes it.

What is the most underrated ship, in your opinion?

I will talk about my ships and it's a tie between two Diaspro ships. Diaspro/Timmy or Diaspro/Krystal.

Diaspro is in desperate need of someone who will treat her right and won't hurt her the way Sky did. But she also needs someone who's gonna calm her bitchy temper. Would Timmy speak his truth and tell her she's a bitch sometimes? Honestly I can see it happen if they learn to know each other. Krystal on the other hand would definitly be empathizing and help Diaspro realizes she deserves someone better but also that she deserves to accept herself and stop trying to be mean at everybody because she's scared nobody will ever love her. These two ships are honestly full of potential for me and I really wish people would talk about them more!

Favourite AU ideas for Driven?

Gosh so many AU ideas are amazing to me. Honestly I'd like the After season 4! AU in a reality where after everything that happens with Valtor, Darcy doesn't end up in a season 5 scheme and would try to either move on with her life and try to be a witch businesswoman or try to take on the world with her sisters for GOOD REASONS (like in the first seasons when they wanted power and recognition because of how bad witches are considered by society and how unfair it seems to them) AND NOT FOR A FISH, face the Winx again and this time Riven has grown up, she has grown up and they realize they still care deeply for each other and have now the maturity to give their feelings the place they deserve.

I also have a soft spot for the motor race AU because of the episode they met each other. If there's a little rivalry because of how good they both are I'd love it too.

Also the AU where they never stopped talking with each other and just don't tell anybody because it's their thing.

And sometimes if it's well written I can like a Riven stays with Darcy even if she wants to take on the world AU.

What's your favourite headcanon of Flora/Anagan?

Oh gosh I have so many... Like it's a tie between:

-They at least kissed each other during their trip to Sybilla's Caves and it's their little secret

and

-If they build a family, Anagan is the "friendly dad" who tries his best to give good life advice to his children and plays with them but ends up being another child for Flora because he's kinda childish when with his kids. But their family works well and they care so much for each other.

Also he felt first and harder, I love this one.

13. Your favorite friendship they have

I wish the game itself had expanded more on this, in general I love the idea of Ryos Truthful arc being all about him putting the best foot forward (after he puts his worst) in order to get that acceptance he was seeking for, now that the group has shown him they're there for him (willing to tackle him lol). But since Ryo & Everyone feels like a cop-out answer, I'll say I'm fond of his dynamic with Minoru lol It's so delightfully bratty 😂😂 It starts at a really rocky place with that of Minoru being disrespectful to him and having fun at his expense when he was at his lowest, so I enjoy seeing Minoru try to get on his good side by talking comics to cheer him up even tho it Just Annoys Ryo. It's nice to see it goes both ways, mending that dynamic, and Ryo can see past his own knee jerk reaction and appreciate Minoru's effort, and eventually get on the banter with him lol Once he's had enough and teases Minoru back/calls him a brat, they turn into a really funny duo lol

I'm also very invested in the idea of him giving back to the group by helping Aoi and Shuuji, the ones who are always the most concerned with taking care of the group. It's a nice way to round his character since he starts in such an unflattering place of not only "guy who doesn't help out", straight up guy who's irresponsible as one of the older kids. It's good to see have the neurotic overachievers' backs and how they tackle the responsibility together.

23Future headcanon

Since Ryo is kind of like a "delinquent", I kind of imagined him like a truant lol I feel he's probably gonna struggle a lot in his last year of middle school since he's got the dreaded high school exams to tackle and he tends to catastrophize. It's for this reason, I think he might end up being an uni-entrance gap-year taker lol As in, he tries the first time and fails and ends up taking the gap year to soul search decide if he should go to a voca school or so. Sometimes failing can be just what you need 😂 I also think he might end up not resenting the gap year bc it allows him to hang out with the others lol

YOOOOO MY FAVORITE PERSON AND HIS FAVORITE PERSON LOL Let's go!

1. "When I think they became friends"

Listen, if you learned that somebody put his life and honor and reputation on the line to save your butt from being flambéd while you were passed out with a fever, there is no way you wouldn't automatically like that person.

Sure, it probably took some time before Beregond and Faramir were speaking more as friends than as lord and servant—since Beregond would doubtlessly be too humble to expect any special treatment, even after everything he did—but Faramir has a canonical superpower of putting people at ease around him, so after the whole arrangement in Ithilien got settled, it probably took no more than a few weeks of a polite fight between Beregond's sense of duty and humility and Faramir's obvious gratitude and good favor before they started to ease towards a relationship with a shocking resemblance to Frodo and Sam. Does Beregond still call him "my lord"? Yes he does. Is Faramir technically in charge? Yes he is. Are they besties tho? Oh abso-frickin'-lutely yes.

3. "A random headcanon I have of them"

Okay this might be really dumb but imagine:

Faramir goes to Beregond for parenting advice.

THIS IS VERY SELF-INDULGENT BUT also??? It's right there tho?? Beregond is canonically a great dad and Faramir canonically uhhhh didn't have the best role model and even if Denethor wasn't The WorstTM by the end of it, it's not like he's still around for encouragement and advice.

So I'm. Just seeing. Faramir calling Beregond in to the fantasy equivalent of his "office" to talk in private, and Beregond thinks this is gonna be something to do with the bodyguard (because that's his area of authority) and Faramir finally shyly being like "so uhhhh...you seem to be pretty successful with the whole 'raising kids' thing....and I'm new at this and really over my head so....help??"

And lemme tell ya, the way that Beregond's face would go from 0 to 200% SoftTM in the span of half a second might just keep me going for the next WEEK bruh

5. "A scene I wish we had of them"

Okay I exaggerated a little bit last time I said this but SERIOUSLY, give me the moment Faramir learns about what Beregond did for him or give me DEATH.

Again, this is only the second time I've read this book, and last time I was a kid and hardly paying attention, so I could have missed a lot. But I've just read "The Black Gate Opens" (you'll see my chapter review later today!) and skimmed "The Steward and the King", and so far as I can tell, the narrative basically forgets about Beregond altogether until he's pardoned by Aragorn.

I need to know how and when Faramir learned the truth. The Warden was instructed to keep it from him for the time being, and Beregond and Pippin weren't allowed to say anything, but he can't have been kept in the dark forever!

We know that Beregond and Bergil stayed behind in Faramir's room after Aragorn woke him up. What happened after that? Did they talk at all? Did Bergil run around helping Ioreth prepare some food and something to drink? Did Faramir say anything that made Beregond get a strange look on his face, but he kept silent, not wanting either to brag about himself or inflict the pain of what had just happened on his lord yet?

"I know your face. Tell me, whence before have I seen thee? For I cannot recall your name." "I am no one of great consequence, lord. Beregond son of Baranor is my name, if your lordship asks for it; and I am but a man of arms of the Guard of the Citadel." "Ah, there is the answer to my riddle. But here is another! Does not a Guard of the Citadel have his duties other than playing nursemaid to an invalid? He is needed elsewhere, I am certain." "...Nowhere more than here, lord."

Did anyone even tell Faramir the truth until Beregond had left for the Black Gate with the rest of Aragorn's company? Who would there even be who knew the full story? I imagine only the Warden would have any of the details, since he's the one who met with Aragorn and Gandalf at the end of "The Houses of Healing".

"It is only the plain truth that I seek, Warden. Three days now have passed, you tell me, since the evening I was admitted into this House, and my father has not yet come to call after my health; nor am I permitted to leave this place and go to him. What has happened? For I feel weary, and there is a great foreboding on my heart." He bowed. "It is regrettable that the truth needs be kept from one so far-sighted. But your lordship has already guessed the nature of it, I deem." "Yes; and it grieves me. My father has passed. He has joined my brother. Alas! Dark are these days! And heavy is my heart. Yet how this came to be is a mystery to vex me. No orc or troll or foul folk of the Enemy has breached the upper crown of the City, and my father would not go down to contest them. How comes it that he was slain?" "Ah! To tell the whole tale would multiply your grief, my lord. I know it only in part, but what little I was told would be a great burden." Then the Warden was called away to other duties, but Faramir stood still under the pavilion, deep in thought, and turned his eyes to the darkening East.

Anyway I just. Yeah. I need to know how Faramir found out. Sure, he could have learned it when Beregond was pardoned, but what's the fun in that?? I'm starting to think it would be even better if HE approached Aragorn to plead on Beregond's behalf. "I know he committed treason, but he saved my life." "I know, I'm not going to punish him. I've got this great idea for a prank tho—!"

13. "What I think would've happened if they had never met"

Faramir is McFrickin' Dead. Crispy crunchy roast Faramir.

— Bread is pretty GNC he WILL wear skirts and stuff and he loves them

— I ADORE platonic kisses so you better believe that I think Lime and Bread constantly give each other little pecks on the forehead and cheek

— He wears a full set of pajamas to bed. They are probably embroidered

— He also has a robe and slippers because that man dresses like a housewife from a movie

— He likes to write! He spends too much time on that clipboard I bet he’s writing little poems and ideas in the margins

— Bread and Lime run a fashion and food blog with the occasional entry from Crepe

thanks for the ask! i kinda went ham on the AU question lol

N - Name three things you wish you saw more of in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

oof this is hard! the thing is. i'm an extremely fickle mistress, so i don't really have a 'main' fandom? also i think most of what i want from fandom is extremely generic (more gen fic, more femslash, more AUs with interesting worldbuilding, more rarepairs etc etc) and most of my specific comments are aimed more at the source material than at the fandom

(that said, if anyone writes political intrigue and/or the mundane stuff of nation building about the Kree/Skrull Alliance please please please link! there's so much story potential there..............)

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

okay so i LOVE most AUs, but my favorite are well-done roleswaps (by which i mean the characters' core personalities are intact, it's just that their circumstances have changed). I mean... i still lowkey think about the Persona 4 adult investigation team AU a friend and I talked about almost 10 years ago lol

(oh! speaking of the Persona franchise, i've always kind of wondered what would happen if P4 protag moved to Sumaru City after P4 and gets Jun Kashihara from Persona 2 as his homeroom teacher, and one way or another accidentally triggers a way for Nyarlathotep to return (most likely with P4 protag coming into contact with Tatsuya by chance through Jun)—after all, the theme of Persona 4 is to lift the fog of deceit, but not all truths should be remembered... though I guess this isn't really AU since it could theoretically happen as long as you handwave the mechanics about how personas/Nyarly and Philemon work)

my other pet AU is the Appmon Utena AU because narratives about roles and agency fascinate me! (appmon and utena endgame spoilers in linked posts)

as for something that I'm mostly making up right now........... uhhhh Loveless AU for Oda and Aoki from 2.43 Seiin High School Men's Volleyball Team, but only about the concept of Fighter-Sacrifice pairs and not... everything else (I have not read Loveless but it's got A Reputation)—mostly because i think it'd be so interesting if their pair name is "Selfless", seeing as Oda tends to think of himself as selfish in the novel, while Aoki's speech about "no need to thank me, I'm doing this because of ulterior motives" and his utter devotion to Oda's cause makes me kiiinda feral. (and from what little i understand about the general power dynamics of Fighters and Sacrifices, i think it makes sense for Oda to be the Sacrifice and Aoki the Fighter? idk)

i haven't thought of why they're marked, since they're meant to be Just Some Guys in 2.43 (i.e. not one of the star players on the team)

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

i'm not willing to die on this hill, but i have this entire elaborate headcanon about Euanthe from Counter/WEIGHT having a dead fiance and them being essentially an anti-stratus due to the programming language disconnect between the Divines and the Apostolisian mechs. both are just something i pulled completely out of my ass tho (note: Twilight Mirage is the last sci-fi season from friends at the table that i've completed)

as for something i'm slightly more willing to die defending: Yukiko and Chie from Persona 4 lived on takeout for like 4 months after they got their own place, before grudgingly learning how to cook at the Inaba community center (also Yosuke heckles them about it and sends shitty pics of his humble homemade dishes at ridiculous hours to taunt them about it—at least, that's how they interpret his gesture

and i mean. they aren't entirely wrong about that.)

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

oh boy most popular media is like that for me... i feel like ORV is one of these even though i did read some of it? (and i mean. i do plan on reading past ch 75 of ORV one of these days.) i've heard stuff about SVSSS (about a rarepair/side character) and the Owl House seems interesting from the general impression i get from my dash

I guess i also. learned about SPN on tumblr (and know more than I want to, even though in the grand scheme of things it's not much at all)

You're most welcome! I has many HC, but I must mull them over first. None of the characters in dbd are cowards. And Dwight is definitely not one. In the beginning, he may have hidden in a locker to collect himself, but he ain't going to sit in there and let others get hurt. Small spaces can sometimes help with anxiety attacks, they give an illusion of security. Like the feeling of being hugged. They use something like this for animals with severe anxiety. No doubt, Dwight is a fighter.

HCs are so hard, specially when lore is being released so it might collide against some things we might think could be true!

Lockers are given for a reason: to hide. Hiding in a locker doesn’t mean anything bad, and Dwight definitely knows how to hide so if he hid in one he would most likely not be found.

As a leader, he has to make sure his team is doing the best they can so he has to show them that he is a fighter so they don’t ever think of giving up!

-Is shy at first to initiate it but is really into soft displays of affection

-Hand holding, head scratches, forehead and nose kisses, gentle hugs… It just never fails to make his heart flutter

-Despite his shyness at the beginning of the relationship, he is quite affectionate himself so don’t expect to miss out on any hugs and kisses either

ALRIGHT CHUCKLE FUCKS, GET READY FOR A LATE NIGHT/EARLY MORNING RAMBLE/HEADCANON SESH TALKING ABOUT THE LOGGING LOCOS AND THE LORE I HAVE COME UP WITH FOR THEM BECAUSE I ADORE THEM AND WISH THEY HAD MORE DONE TO THEM IN THE SHOW-

okay, so to start off, how did these guys meet each other: they all met each other while working for whatever company they used to work for on the mainland, at first it was only Bash and Dash with a couple other engines/machinery that weren't too fond of the two's joking around and immature playing- due to not being properly trained/disciplined socially after being built- most of the humans also weren't too fond of it either, including the owner of the company who despised them the most.

well, fast forwards a bit and Ferdinand gets brought on and paired up with the twins for some muscle, at first he wasn't too sure on them and was admittedly intimidated by not just them but everyone else at the company as well, but after hearing the two joking in their shared shed one night and finding their humor hilarious, they almost instantly became peas in a pod and were practically inseparable, which made the owner even more furious, but it was what it was!...

How were they like before Misty Island: well, their personalities were pretty much like how we know them as now, tho dialed back significantly, think of the twins as more like Bill and Ben where they were more mischievous then destructive, tho they do get carried away sometimes when not careful. Ferdinand was sooo much more quieter and timid, even for Ferdinand! Despite coming out of his shell some when meeting the twins, he kept to himself and didn't make himself very noticeable due to their owner's outbursts whenever a mishap would happen with them or from any comments their peers would give them, which ofc frightened him dearly as he was still new, didn't want to be sent away and be separated from his new friends, so he did his best to stay on everyone's good side...

How did they end up on the island: by this point you could probably put two and two together and figure out that their original owner has some involvement in this topic. but to go into more detail about what actually got them sent away, the trio were playing around during some off time and they bumped into some flatbeds that had been sitting on the tracks, from there a domino effect occurred and within the span of a few minutes what started off as some minor damages turned into thousands of dollars’ worth of damages and repairs, included in the destruction were a few crew members and two cranes that the company owned at the time. Needless to say the owner was NOT pleased by this and had another fit in front of them before sending them to do extra work separated for several weeks, which they ofc hated but couldn't object or it'd be longer, well it just so happened that the owner had bought an entire island ages ago that he wasn't really using anymore, so in a state of cruel malice that had been boiling up for years, he sent someone to reunite the trio when their punishments were up and told them they were going to play a special game of hide and seek, which the trio were eager to accept, thinking that their owner was attempting to make up for his outbursts, but they'd sooner or later figure out the truth about this "game" once they settled into their hiding spot, aka Misty Island. They were told they'd be staying on the island until their owner found them and would be brought fresh oil and whatever else they'd need three times a month, ofc as the days rolled into weeks and months, the visits for oil and other supplies dropped down from three visits a month to two, and two visits to only one, and finally stopping all together, they started to have second thoughts about this "game" they were playing and wondered what was going on...

how are they after Misty Island: after getting rescued from Misty Island and becoming a part of the NWR, the trio would work their butts off to show their appreciation and began to work on being more well-behaved, tho ofc old habits die hard so they had lots of growing to do. as the months grew on however, the engines of the NWR would start to notice some peculiar things about the trio that later were revealed or labeled as trauma related, the list going as follows- *the trio refused to be separated for more then a few hours at a time when they first started working on Sodor, but even then they’d be consistently worried about each other until reunited. *they would sometimes sneak onto Sodor and sleep near busy stations/railyards/docks because they didn’t want to be abandoned and wanted to be sure there were still people that wanted them around, acting very clingy in the morning or whenever they’re woken up to anyone around them, wanting to do work for them even if they had jobs elsewhere or back on the island. *they sometimes make very odd or dark jokes, or say things that creep the others out, if particularly pissed off Bash and Dash are known to make threats that would probably make the most stone cold and tough engine shudder, this ofc was an echoing of what their original owner used to do to them- which the trio echo a lot of things, both good and bad- and they will often apologize for the things they said after things have cooled off enough. *if any questions or mention of their old company are brought up they’d go silent a refuse to elaborate for a couple days- save for the one exception where Ferdinand finally snapped at the person asking him and slowly broke down into tears as he told them what happened. *on the topic of Ferdinand, being the more emotional one, he’d go into depressive episodes during the colder months, as that was roughly when the trio was first abandoned on the island, so he has a rocky relationship with the cold. *while hard to tell, the best way to figure out if Bash and Dash are going through their own sort of episode is by how careless they are with work/how often they goof off during a job, everyone quickly figured out this was a coping mechanism for them.

but over time and with plenty of support from the NWR, they were able to fix most of these issues... mostly... the trio still snuck onto the island to sleep and Ferdinand was still grappling with his seasonal depression, but they all were able to find themselves quite at home on Sodor and couldn’t have been happier, yes they still technically live on Misty Island- after all it’s been their territory for years now- they considered it a sort of extension of Sodor, which was further consolidated when STH had purchased the land and had it fixed up a bit, a crew was hired not long after to stay there and to keep the Logging Locos company, which while hesitant at first, the Locos happily welcomed the newcomers into their home, finally feeling like they had a railway and group of friends that they truly belonged in!...

arisu would be devastated. not only did he lose lifelong friends to a game a few weeks ago, but now he had to lose you too?

just like when he lost his friends, he would enter a depressive state. it would be hard to talk to him, he would feel like there was no hope, and he couldn’t even cry because it felt like he had used all the tears in him. especially because you were protecting him instead of yourself, he would feel like it was his fault.

but because of what you told him, he would slowly regain his motivation. your words were silently supporting him and he would continue because he doesn’t want your life to go to waste.

chishiya looks like he couldn’t care less. so what? his s/o died? everyone dies one way or another, it’s just a matter of time. but in truth, he’s hurt. he just doesn’t want to show it to anyone. not like he showed much emotion to anyone other than you in the first place.

he’d tell others you were stupid. you shouldn’t have given your life for someone else. you shouldn’t have used your last breath to tell him you loved him. and it’s true, he wishes you didn’t do that. because he wishes he could tell you and do the same for you.

from now on he makes sure to use whatever tactic he can to survive. he won’t let your stupid sacrifice be in vain.

niragi would likely go into a rage. let’s say the game required one person to sacrifice themselves painfully. no one wanted to step up and do it despite the ticking clock so you whispered a last “i love you” to niragi before jumping into the danger.

that moment was probably the most heartbroken, upset, and angry that anyone had seen the trigger-happy man. he screamed until his throat went raw and swore at everyone, throwing punches for being worthless scum who couldn’t put themselves forward until aguni stopped him from killing them all.

he’d possibly resort to a lot of drinking as well to get over you, and became easily irritable around others. he’d also probably swear to never fall for someone seriously again.

Ohmygod YES Susan Pevensie is awesome please talk to me about Susan i want to know everything you have to say

Literally THANK YOU for asking me this bc Susan Pevensie is a character I never get asked about and I have So Many Opinions.

I'm going to start by saying that Susan used to be my least favorite character in the series. This goes for the books and the movies. Some of it was for personal reasons--she reminds me of a couple of annoying ppl I know irl--but it was also bc I watched Prince Caspian which shoehorned her into a relationship with Caspian which I hated.

HOWEVER. I ended up rethinking this position after interacting with Susan fans and realizing that there are so many wonderful things to love about her!

Things Ash Loves About Susan Pevensie

Aight I'm not going to do a formal analysis yet on her, but instead rant about some of the unrelated things I adore about Susan Pevensie.

Susan the Archer

Look we all love archery here. I don't have anything more to say.

Okay, I actually do have more to say. I love the fact that Susan is a complete badass with the bow. You get the general impression that she's one of the royals in charge of public relations, traditions, foreign policy, etc. and yet she's the most competent archer in the series. One of the few things I liked about the movies is how they didn't downplay this. They actually let her be a badass and show off her skills.

Also the part where she kicks Trumpkin's ass was awesome.

Susan the Gentle

Susan being the most passive Pevensie was something I definitely underappreciated as a teenager. I think my non-ability to see past "I'm not like other girls" narrative and the combination of Susan being described as the most traditionally feminine woman in the Narnia series is what initially turned me off from her.

HOWEVER, now it's one of my favorite attributes! I love that Susan is a badass and the most beautiful woman in Narnia. She has hair down to her feet, every man and woman in the kingdom want to fuck her, and she's still a fucking badass who will not hesitate to kick your ass.

Susan the Sister

Most of my thoughts of Susan as an older sister mostly stem from my own personal headcanons, but she is an awesome sister to her siblings. She's Peter's voice of reason, Edmund's sass partner, and Lucy's big sister.

Susan the Mom-Friend

She is a literal mother-figure for Corin.

"[...] the most beautiful lady he had ever seen rose from her place and threw her arms round him and kissed him, saying: "Oh Corin, Corin, how could you? And thou and I such close friends ever since thy mother died. [...]"

-The Horse and His Boy, 33-34

Most everything I have to say about this ventures into headcanon territory, but I love the idea of Susan basically adopting Corin after his mom dies. The way she trusts Cor--who she thinks is Corin in this chapter--is really sweet and I wish we could've seen more of that relationship.

Susan the Flawed

Something I notice from the fandom is a lot of people who hate Susan tend to because of her flaws. On the other hand, most Susan stans like to wave away these flaws and blame C.S. Lewis for being misogynistic or Aslan for being a "cruel god" and ignore the fact that she is a deeply flawed person.

Susan gets something of a "reverse redemption arc" in The Chronicles of Narnia. This makes her not only a fascinating foil to Edmund--as both are analytical, logical people--but an interesting character by herself.

She starts out in TWW as very skeptical of Narnia and it's whole deal and also very condescending to Lucy throughout. She ultimately does admit that Lucy was right and does get on board with the whole prophecy at the same time Peter does, and ends the book being crowned "the Gentle Queen."

In The Horse and His Boy, she has a very interesting dynamic with Edmund and in even more interesting relationship with Rabadash. They don't even interact on-page with each other, but it's highly implied that she was interested in him when he was a guest in Narnia. His behavior obviously changed when she visited him in Tashbaan, but you have to wonder what their dynamic was like before for her to travel all the way to his home when relations between the countries were strained at best.

Prince Caspian is where the cracks start showing through. Susan has lived an entire life as an adult in Narnia, gets thrown back to England with her siblings, and is yet again in Narnia as a child. This book is what really emphasizes her one fatal flaw: convenience.

(Put a pin in that thought, I'll get back to it.)

Susan denies once again that Lucy saw something that the rest of them can't seen. She continues this narrative until every other sibling finally acknowledges Lucy in the right and only then does she apologize.

The last mention of Susan is in The Last Battle, where all of her flaws rise up against her in the worst way possible. I have a lot of controversial opinions on this that I'm going to address later, but I just want to say that Susan's reverse-redemption arc is something I actually like about her.

(There is also evidence that Susan does get a full redemption arc, just as Edmund and Eustace did, but C.S. Lewis was pretty much done with The Chronicles of Narnia at the point and instead encouraged fans to write their own version of how that went down.)

Okay, back to convenience being Susan's fatal flaw. So the one thing that comes up time and time again in the series is that Susan is very focused on material comforts. I believe it's implied that she's vain, and it's canonical that her own personal comfort spurs her to make decisions.

"[...] I really believed it was him — he, I mean — yesterday. When he warned us not to go down to the fir wood. And I really believed it was him tonight, when you woke us up. I mean, deep down inside. Or I could have, if I'd let myself. But I just wanted to get out of the woods and — and — oh, I don't know [...]"

Prince Caspian, 81

Prince Caspian has the strongest examples of Susan doing this, but certainly there's evidence elsewhere. There are a lot of fans who are distressed by this, claiming that Aslan and the others are too hard on her and shouldn't judge.

Honestly, I like that she's written with this flaw. Not only is it very relatable--(my own personal comfort and convenience is something I highly prioritize too)--but it humanizes a character who otherwise is ridiculously op and basically the Helen of Troy of the series. It may sound like I'm using this as an excuse to rant, but I really wouldn't have her any other way.

Susan As Portrayed by Anna Popplewell

Movie!Susan is a fucking delight.

She's sarcastic and badass and awesome and I could spend hours heaping praise on Anna's acting and her portrayal of Susan, but I can already tell that this post is going to be long so, I'll just stop here.

(10/10 want to be stabbed by her tho.)

Personal Headcanons

Let's talk about my fanon thoughts. I have many.

Susan is Aro

There's canonical evidence for this! Susan is a character who is heavily pursued by suitors everywhere, and even lets herself be courted by many of them, but chooses not to settle down. Even when she gets back to England and is described as only having interest in parties and material things, boys aren't mentioned.

I like to think that in The Horse in His Boy Susan was interested in Rabadash at first because he was a brilliant conversationalist. Nothing she says about him implies romantic interest, before and after she realizes the truth of his intentions.

Susan and Edmund Were Best Friends

This might be my love for The Horse and His Boy showing itself, but I think Susan and Edmund were thrown into circumstances where they interacted the most with each other.

Edmund is the ruler in charge of politics. Susan is the ruler in charge of Cair Paravel's public image. I imagine they spent time as ambassadors to other countries and planning royal functions.

They're also the most level-headed and logical out of their siblings, so they probably found a lot in common.

Susan Fancast

I literally just said I loved Anna's potrayal of Susan's (and I love what they gave us of older Susan too in LWW!), but I read the books in 2008 and my parents didn't let me see the movies bc I was like...nine years old and they thought it would be too scary.

So I had to headcanon my own interpretations.

Queen Susan the Gentle:

For some reason Merlin wasn't too scary for me to watch and I fell in love with Katie McGrath in like. Two episodes so. (On an unrelated note, I also fancast Bradley James as Peter at the time.)

Anyway, fanon Susan is basically Morgana Pendragon pre-evil arc. Sassy as hell, hot as fuck, and can kick your ass.

Yeah, feel free to skip this part if having controversial fandom opinions is a deal breaker for you.

The Problem With Susan Isn't Actually A Problem

I'm about to start so much discourse in the Narnia fandom, but C.S. Lewis's choices with her in The Last Battle weren't misogynistic. Bear in mind, I'm not saying that all of his writing choices in the series were A++ or excusing away certain racist/sexiest bits, but it's honestly baffling to me that people are so up in arms over Susan's exclusion in the final book.

So the part that everyone loses their shit over is as follows:

"My sister Susan," answered Peter shortly and gravely, "is no longer a friend of Narnia."

"Yes," said Eustace, "and whenever you've tried to get her to come and talk about Narnia or do anything about Narnia, she says 'What wonderful memories you have! Fancy your still thinking about all those funny games we used to play when we were children.'"

"Oh Susan!" said Jill, "she's interested in nothing now-a-days except nylons and lipstick and invitations. She always was a jolly sight too keen on being grown-up."

"Grown-up, indeed," said the Lady Polly. "I wish she would grow up. She wasted all her school time wanting to be the age she is now, and she'll waste all the rest of her life trying to stay that age. Her whole idea is to race on to the silliest time of one's life as quick as she can and then stop there as long as she can."

The Last Battle, 83-84

There's a lot to unpack here and I first want to say that everyone's opinion on this part, no matter how different than mine, is valid. I'm going to be quoting some other ppl's opinions on here and by no means am I bashing them. I just want to address my feelings on the matter and the best way to do that is to cite the thoughts of ppl who have opposing ideas.

Here are some arguments on Tumblr I've heard regarding "The Problem of Susan":

"How about we talk about what might have happened if Narnia hadn't deserted Susan? [...] What if we didn't tell Susan she had to go grow up in her own world and then shame and punish her for doing just that? She was told to walk away and she went. She did not try to stay a child all her life, wishing for something she had been told she couldn't have again."

"Narnia is filled with metaphors (often not very subtle ones) that are supposed to teach us how to be, and the most glaring one for any young girl to absorb is that it's okay to be a girl like Lucy, unthreatening and cheerful and valiant and faithful, but to be a girl like Susan gets you punished - in fact, you aren't just punished, you're destroyed."

"why do we call it ‘the problem’ where’s the problem about a young woman dealing with her trauma and choosing her own path, actively making the choice to keep living and to stay and to carve a life out in England when her siblings couldn’t? what is the problem about susan forgetting to somehow cope with what she’s experienced? why is it ‘the problem of susan’ that she recontextualised her faith?"

And then there's JK Rowling who said this:

There comes a point where Susan, who was the older girl, is lost to Narnia because she becomes interested in lipstick. She's become irreligious basically because she found sex. I have a big problem with that.

It's weird how I'm still finding new ways to hate JKR in the year 2021. Again, there is absolutely zero implication that Susan had sex when she came back to England. ZERO. Did she actually read the books? IDK. If someone shares this opinion pls reply with actual canonical evidence.

Back on topic, I'm a firm believer of death of the author and interpreting art via your own experiences. Which is why I'm also going to share my own interpretation by saying y'all are wrong.

Susan Pevensie was not abandoned by Narnia. She was not barred from Narnia because she is traditionally feminine or because she "owned her sexuality" (another opinion I didn't have time to condense down for this post) or because she recontextualized her faith or even because she deserved to be punished.

I also fail to see how Susan recontexualized her faith, as the entire point of it all is that she has none. Bringing this back to Susan's fatal flaw (personal convenience/material comforts), her prioritizing herself over her own faith is the reason she is "no longer a friend of Narnia." Not...whatever fanon y'all are imposing on her character.

Susan is not being punished for liking lipstick and looking pretty. Susan's not even being punished. Y'all read Neil Gaiman's The Problem of Susan and forgot it wasn't canon.

There are many reasons Susan is not in Aslan's Country (one of them being that she's not actually dead yet), but the main one has to do with this:

"[...] But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.”

Voyage of the Dawn Treader, 215-216

Yeah, okay that's why Susan is no longer a friend of Narnia. The implication when the Pevensies are told that they can no longer enter Narnia is that they are to find Aslan in other places. Susan doesn't do this, instead choosing to focus her life on material things. It isn't the lipstick, it's that she only wants the lipstick.

Susan Had Sex In The Books

Oh and not in the context y'all are thinking. (Again, there are no implications that Susan was barred from Narnia for having sex or that she had sex when she came back to England.)

So there's actual canonical evidence that Susan and Rabadash had a sexual relationship. Sort of.

"What think you? We have been in this city fully three weeks. Have you yet settled in your mind whether you will marry this dark-faced lover of yours, this Prince Rabadash, or no?"

-The Horse and His Boy, 35

Edmund calls Rabadash her lover. Not her suitor. I don't know if the word had a different meaning in 1954, but it feels like C.S. Lewis is saying that they're fucking. I'm not really happy with the idea of Susan sleeping with an abuser, but really proud of her for Getting Some as a woman born in a time period where having premarital sex was a big no-no.

This also invalidates the weird opinion going on that Susan was barred from Narnia because she had sex.

Suspian Is The Worst

I haven't really talked about Movie!Susan much, but as long as we're talking unpopular opinions, it's worth noting that I hate Suspian. Some of it is the "Susan is Aro" headcanon screaming inside of me, but it's also the fact that it's written poorly, does nothing interesting for either character and generally comes across as awkward.

I feel like they were trying to make Prince Caspian sexy and relevant to teens. It came across as super heteronormative and unnecessary.

It also gets really really weird bc the next movie then gives Caspian and Edmund mad chemistry and we're all just like........ok.

Final Thoughts

Susan may not be my favorite character in the series, but she's grown on me over the years. I have many issues with fanon interpretations of her--which definately fueled some of my disdain for her initally--and I don't identify as a Susan Apologist.

I do however adore Susan and have many headcanons for her not mentioned here. I love reading fanfic, writing fanfic and meta, and generally having conversations about her and would love to talk more about it.

Who do you think is the more ego little nightmares the more enigmatic character in little nightmares?

This is a cool ask and I'm glad someone finally gave me a reason to talk about these characters, thank you anon. I'll list my top five and explain.

1. The North Wind

I literally, for the life of me, cannot figure out what that guy was doing. What was his deal? From what we know so far, he is an entity of chaos who used to haunt this one village persistently, until one day he finally managed to destroy it.

Then, he ran after two completely normal kids for God knows how long until he finally snatched one of them - not the one he wanted, though. He was fixiated on getting to the Refugee Boy specifically, but why? Could this be a similar situation to the Humback Girl's, where an entity is accidentally summoned by a kid? If that's the case, then the Refugee Boy doesn't seem to be aware of this ability of his.

Or, again, maybe he wanted to get to him for... I don't know, some kind of deal? He didn't seem like he wanted to hurt the kid; he even kept his word to not hurt him when the boy walked out of his hiding spot. Let's be honest, if he really wanted to hurt him, he could have probably done so countless times.

Also... the only monster we see speak clear, understandable english. And that's what he appeared to wish for; a talk with the Refugee Kid out in the open.

There's also that bet he made with the Ferryman. The headcanon of them being old boomer rivals is hilarious and I'm enamored with it, but what if it had some truth to it? It would be interesting if the North Wind was a paralell to the Ferryman in the sense that he also works for some Master - I don't see that to be likely, though. The North Wind doesn't seem like the kind of guy who takes orders.

Then again, he's surprisingly honest and fair. Again, he keeps his word to the Boy and accepts the fact he lost the bet with almost no complaint. Unlike the Ferryman, he didn't try to deceive the Refugee Boy into following him.

I think about him a lot.

2. The Butler

This motherfucker. Again, what is his deal?

I have to admit that I wouldn't be as interested in him as I am if he didn't have similar abilities to the Lady. Mans floats and lights flicker when he walks into rooms... also, I wonder why his hands are sealed.

The key to his handcuffs is in the same cave where Shadow Six's jack in the box is, so that's an interesting connection to say the least.

Also, fun fact! He and the Lady are the only monsters the player cannot escape unless it's a scripted sequence. Once they see you, you're dead meat. Can't run and can't hide.

3. The Granny

How long has she been on the Maw? Was she the one who looked after the kids before Roger came around? Why was she abandoned to decay and rage? So many questions and literally no answers.

Well, we know that she's a contractor, at least. I wonder what her relationship to the Lady might be - if there is one at all.

4 - The Mirror Man

This man loves to terrorize anyone who comes across his path and I guess I can commend him for having the balls to go after the Lady of all people. That being said... does he have a death wish???

5 - The Ferryman

Oh, Ferryman, my beloved. Huge man. Definetely gives good hugs. I wish I could figure out what the fuck is going on behind those empty, hollow eyes💔

I'm a good 80% sure he works for the Lady of the Maw (and I would like to specify: I believe he works for the title, not the person. He has worked for the Ladies that came before ours and will continue for the ones that will follow) and that he knows the Hunter somehow, what I can't figure out is his motive. Maybe he doesn't have one, and is just following orders, or perhaps he does and I just can't see it.

Either way, he might be gentle and somewhat caring to the kids, but he's definetely not above lying and tricking people into trusting him. He's more cunning than he looks.

I can see why Refugee Boy decided to go with him even if he lied tho, I mean the alternative was the North Wind💀

Honorable mentions go to the Thin Man and the Craftsman. The first, because he's such an intricate character I have an hard time figuring out what his true motive his, and the other for simple lack of any backstory.

I believe the concept of yanderes ft. a isekai-d reader has been mentioned by Shepard and her anons, tho it’s been mainly for Origins SMP. So, I come to you with ideas for the Dream SMP because that’s all I’m familiar with HAHAH—

Also, I apologize in advance because this thing is borderline an essay with how long it is. I’m so sorry—

For example *cue dramatic lighting and a cheesy flashback monologue thingie* oh my god I think I’m losing it, I’m so tired

Y/n and their younger sibling, Frisk, had just finished up another press conference regarding Monsters being back on the surface. All seems to be going well until the ground beneath their feet vanishes and they fall unconscious a few moments later. When they awaken, they notice they’re surrounded by humans—wait they aren’t all humans, what the fuck, since when are there hybrids? They knew everyone from the underground—by name, no less—and had never heard of any currently living hybrids. Only of ones from before the war. Besides, Monsters have been on the surface for a month at most, so there is no way for... oh boy, their head is spinning.

After some very...tense...introductions (“Hi, I never saw you guys Underground, nor have I heard of you, no offense. So, uh, which monsters are you guys related to?” “OI, I’LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT TUBBO IS NOT A MONSTER!”) they come to the realization that y/n is most definitely not from this world, or even this universe. Y/n’s adamant refusal to fight the “real monsters” that roam this land (“I did not spend countless timelines weeks putting my life on the line to befriend every monster, break the barrier that trapped them Underground, and defend them against my own god forsaken race just to turn my back on them.”) was a pretty big sign, after all. That, along with species of monsters that the SMP members have never heard of and how y/n talked about Souls as if they were a tangible thing.

It’s a rocky start before any sort of friendship is formed: y/n, wanting to be cautious, (and also not having Sans there to CHECK for them) decides to ask everyone what their LV is. It’s risky, and they had no way to prove if anyone is (or isn’t) telling the truth, but it was worth a shot. “Our levels?” A small goat hybrid asked, his head slightly tilting to the side. Everyone assumes that y/n is talking about enchantment levels. “I’m at 26! Ranboo, you’re at 30, right?” “I’m at 37 now, actually.” “Well, I’M at 58. Clearly I’m the superior one here. A real big man, a very manly man, aren’t I?” And a few others pipe in. Color drains from y/n’s face and they take a few steps back, hands shaking as their eyes dart between each person in the room and the exit. ‘How many lives have they each taken to make their LOVE so high? Why do they seem so proud of it?’ Yeah... that was an interesting experience.

- even though they have been reassured multiple times that the monsters of this world are nothing like the ones from their home, y/n still refuses to kill a single one, as I had mentioned earlier. They also refuse to kill animals. It takes a couple tries at explaining LV or LOVE—Level Of ViolencE—along with EXP—EXecution Points—but eventually everyone is on the same page

- Y/n is hesitant to bring out their SOUL when asked. First off, though they’re now friends with those from the Underground, they can’t help but be reminded of every spear, knife, bone, petal, gaster blaster, and fireball that has been aimed at them with the intent to kill whenever their SOUL was drawn into an encounter back then. Second of all, showing your SOUL is something you do with those you trust with your life—after all, you’re literally putting your lifeline out on display when you do so. There are so many different ways that the SMP members can see it

- Perhaps a monster appears

- Eggpire or Dream attack

- Someone forces y/n into an encounter because everyone is too curious to just let this opportunity slip by

- When y/n discovers that the people of this land have more than one life, they’re confused. There is no way that all of these people have SOULS of Determination, and there’d definitely be some issues if people kept rewinding time to their last save point. Besides, only one Determination SOUL—the strongest one—should be able to respawn. Then again, they only know what Frisk had explained to them. They were never able to see the save stars that Frisk would interact with in the different sections of the Underground. So they only have so much to go off of.

- Battle for them is completely different. Despite being in a different world, the mechanics from their world still apply. They can FIGHT, ACT, use an ITEM or show MERCY.

- They use Frisk’s tactic and flirt their way out of a fight or two. They never understood why Frisk did it until now... ‘I mean, I...wow. That was actually effective.’ They’re impressed.

- Oh no, maybe that wasn’t the best idea...they might have some yanderes after them bc of it...

- They probably have accidentally called Philza ‘Asgore’ and Tubbo ‘Asriel’ because both hybrids remind her of the two males from her world. Similar personalities AND Tubbo is a goat hybrid. The poor child is going to be so confused

- If Tubbo’s a yandere oh boy it’s going to be so easy for him. Y/n will probably be constantly at his side and telling him stories about the first fallen child and how they were adopted by the royal family, who are goat monsters! And just explaining the history of the underground and how important the goat family is. Talks about Asriel a lot as well. Probably makes him butterscotch cinnamon pie and tries to recreate golden flower tea to share with him as well. Or, they do that and he’s not yandere and it’s just wholesome.

- If we follow the headcanons that some fans have made, perhaps Frisk (and/or y/n) gave up half of their SOUL to give to either (or both) Chara or Asriel so they’d have another chance at life

- Not only does y/n refuse to kill, which leaves them vulnerable, they also only have half a SOUL, which means they’re incredibly weak. Someone needs to protect them, someone needs to keep them safe, someone needs to—

- Y/n is incredibly agile thanks to all the battles they’ve faced Underground. With their SOUL always out in the open during an encounter and the fact that they refuse to harm anyone, it’s required. I’m imagining them moving like a dancer, using jumps and spins to help them avoid any weapons swung at them.

- This is gonna be annoying for any yandere that wishes to lock y/n up. Even if they won’t physically hurt someone, they WILL put up a fight and make it as hard as they possibly can to be dragged into isolation or imprisonment

- When it comes to who goes yandere, I believe what color of SOUL y/n has (their personality, in summary) would play a big role. Here’s a few of my ideas, feel free to move people around or add to it, I’m really tired and can’t think of many characters LOL

- Red (determination): Wilbur, Technoblade

- Orange (bravery): Technoblade, Dream, Tommy

- Yellow (justice): Sam, Technoblade

- Green (kindness): the kids of the server, Fundy, and Ghostbur

- Cyan (patience): Ranboo, Ghostbur, Karl

- Dark blue (integrity): Tubbo, Philza, Sam

- Purple (perseverance): Dream—this man would love to see how long it would take for your perseverance to run out. I wouldn’t be surprised if your perseverance is the only reason he’s interested.
