Conversations on here will basically be like
"Hey these new reproductive rights issues are affecting trans men too so let's make sure we include them in the conversation, instead of calling it women's health issues."
"Would you stop complaining? Trans women have it worse than trans men. TERFs want to kill us but only detransition you."
"If living as the gender you are not is so easy why would you transition in the first place? Obviously trans people transition because they can't live with existing as a gender they are not. Obviously "just going back" isn't an option because we often fail to behave the way we're expected to anyway. Forcing any trans person to detransition is a death sentence in and of itself."
"Why are you always speaking over transfems when we talk about transmisogynistic violence???"

GoT fandom stop saying masculine and feminine with regards to female characters when you actually mean active vs passive challenge
#the extreme misogyny in the fandom oh my gods#jonsas are so guilty of calling daenerys and arya masculine#arya is a tomboy she's not masculine#and i don't mean this to invalidate any enbys or masc girls etc who identify with arya#i just mean that while she scoffs at dresses initially i think it's partly because sansa and jeyne kept telling her she was ugly#she can appreciate pretty things like the acorn dress etc#i just think she believes she's not pretty enough for girly things#even though she's beautiful like lyanna#and dany literally goes through a pregnancy and birth#she likes fine things and sweet smells and all the stereotypical girly things#both of them are just ACTIVE#they make the best of their situations and become highly skilled and respected as a result#they make strides towards their own freedoms#it doesn't make them masculine#and sansa being sweet and passive to survive doesn't make her less of anything either#or more worthy to sansa stans just because she performs femininity well#all are girls and all have traumas enacted upon them because of it#i am so sick of sansa stans specifically downplaying dany and arya's traumas (including ENSLAVEMENT!!!)#just because they think of them as Strong Female Characters™ instead of complex girls who fight tooth and nail for what they have#and ALSO have compassion and kindness for smallfolk/slaves#i would love to know when sansa does the same because i can't think of any off the top of my head#i can recall her singing to keep the women calm but i don't remember much else

I wish the f/f shipping crowd would realize lots of people are motivated by engagement so if you just ENGAGE with the f/f content that IS available then you’ll naturally bring more people interested in sharing and creating.

it seemed like agab was useful at first but it really has become just gender binary 2. but at least the people calling me a woman arent dressing up their language to seem soo progressive and accepting. anyway if i ever see a "afab only" queer space im fucking running

i dont like those defintions of being a gay man that hold ‘lack of attraction to women’ over ‘attraction to men’ bc like. yeah i consider myself a gay dude but the kind of ppl i hang around are too genderweird for me to be all into fluid ideas of gender and non-conformity and then draw the line at me possibly liking a man who is also a woman. like the fact that im into men feels a bit more important to me than the fact that those men may be also a variety of other things

i think part of why i dress consistently like a little bit of a freak is that I know i’m not conventionally attractive so conventionally attractive styles simply do not work on me but dressing like a freak means that i still get attention and compliments and sometimes people think i’m also hot

What do you think of a genderbent light? Would she be misandrist, or just have internalized misogyny? What about a fem L?
im unsure why im getting death note asks as ive barely posted about it but im nonetheless very excited to answer this!!
genderbent light would probably be sexist in a similar way that canon light is; uninterested in men/stereotypes them unless they proved useful or competent. she might be more bitter towards the opposite gender than canon light b/c it's very easy to imagine girl genius light having her accomplishments downplayed or accused of cheating because "women aren't supposed to be that smart" and wanting to get revenge on those who doubted her. she would definitely use that to make her murders seem honorable, i think.
alternatively you could have fem light try to distance herself from traditional femininity as much as possible in order to try and appeal to male-centric academia, and therefore adopt a negative view of other women like canon light. I think the first interpretation is more likely and better suits the idea of light being bored with her academic pursuits as well as her god complex, but the second could be really fun if she met a fem L who took on a masculine public persona. I don't know if she would gain a greater appreciation of other women and adopt that into her strategy like i said above, or if she would simply view herself and L as exceptions.
i think fem L would be remarkably similar in behavior and personality to canon L. i can't imagine her having a strong sexist leaning either way but she'd definitely have a fun time of examining light's various gender-based complexes and calling her out on them.
the common thread here is that fem light and fem L develop incredibly strong lesbian psychosexual obsessions with each other, even Worse than they are in canon.

As I get older and older I more tangibly realize why queer individuals in older generations than mine might prefer words I wouldn't use for myself, and likewise why younger generations preferences would be different too. Like it was always clear you know, a person knows their identity best and what labels they prefer best and even if you don't get it you should respect it. But I guess the older I get the more I realize I really don't know and never can know the background another person has for their perceptions and meaning for labels and why something in particular helps them to use or not
#rant#lgbt#...........................................................................................................................................#i just. so im alive in the time i guess when i saw trans identities barely discussed like even in educational material i didnt#hear about gender identity until i dug deep. to people now using transmasc and transfemme as labels. labels i dont understand and know#i dont. i presume they mean trans people who identify with masculinity or femininity? but i think im probably wrong#because ive seen transmen call themselves transmasc and it confuses me. because a transman can be a very feminine person who loves makeup#so. one cannot say transmasc and actually Mean all trans men. a transfemme does Not include all transwomen because transwomen can be butch#and reject femininity. so like... from my outdated perception i see it as the cis straight societal gender expectations of men MUST be masc#women MUST be femme which. i hate. becayse i specifically feel all people should and can be whatever they want.#any man can be feminine any woman can be masculine any person can be any range on that and change daily and do what they want#and their gender is still valid. and then like. theres ppl like me. im nonbinary. im a pretty feminine guy#im a fairly masculine woman. i dont think i could even fit into transmasc or transfemme labels.#i do think those labels help and suit people who like them. if i met a nonbinary lipstick lesbian perhapa#transfemme would help her xommunicate how she feels. but those words dont help me they are boxes i cant fit inside#and i get why they exist but its like. cool. now i get why transman needs to be preserved Outside of transmasc. because feminine trans men#still need space. i get why masculinjty and femininity need to mean something clearly Separate from gender itself or we loose the ability#to express the range of gender expression in qll areas. i dont know what transexual means but now i realize why a person older than me#may LIKE that label and cling to it. because it may communicqte something For Them that helps them in a#way that was lost to understanding by my generation. in a way that the terms no longer useful for my self identity but is for them.#in the way that trans man and nonbinary fit me but i could never be fit within the labels of transmasc or transfem etc#and in the way that for some people transmasc etc labels will fit Them and Help in a way a label like transman never can. and so on

women and femmes is like. what the fuck r u talking about lol.
like ppl will be talking about shit that effects me but postulate it as something that effects only women and femmes, two things i am not lolol
#its like even the video essay girlies i like say this kind of stuff#women and femmes or women and nonbinary#or women and femme presenting#like that doesnt mean anything what the fuck r u talking about lolol#maybeee women and people percieved as women#or sometimes people with marginalized gender identities maybe depending on the topic but like idk#its just something i still being used even by well meaning people#and it sucks when the converstions their having are important and good but like#idk idk man#women and nonbinary people is like the fucking funniest to me#but also i remmeber someone was talking about how woman and femmes would techincally include men cause men can be femme presenting#and like u know the girlies who say shit like women and femmes arent talking about men lol#idk i just think people should like think a little bit more before saying things and using words they dont understand lmao#like u wouldnt men and masc presenting people cause thats fucking stupid#masc presenting would include women whether u like it or not and masc women arent exactly treated the same as cis men#same with femme men and cis women lol#masc women and femme men are treated like shit for their mascunalnity and femininity but cis ppl do not fucking care about that#whatever anyways theres a lot you can say about htis shit but im kind of stupid and bad with words and idk waht the fuckim talking about#anymore just wanted to rant a lil#anyways its just like afun reminder people dont respect nonbinary people or people who arent what they think a man or woman should be

sometimes it feels like ppl on here think ppl who are stern and assertive are shitty and its like... im sorry but ive been walked on all my life, if im not stern and assertive ppl treat me like shit.
#being bubbly and smiley and welcoming has only welcomed people who want to use and abuse me into my life#id love to be if i didn't feel like people were going to manipulate my kindness#and its not lost on me that im treated like an asshole for this probably bc some ppl just see me as a grumpy hysterical half-woman#even trans ppl who would tell me they dont but show me they do still feel that way about me lmao#ppl rly aren't prepared to discuss how trans men are effected by misogyny in and outside of our communities#we're seen as essentially ugly unsavory women#the woman 'its okay to hate bc they're problematic in x way even iof they aren't we need to find a way all trans mascs r problematic'#'so we have an excuse to keep ostracizing them'#bc once you dismiss someone as a woman you hate whos problematic its a free for all. for some reason yall will let your masks down#entirely on allegedly problematic people who are percieved as women.#like yall are trying to get it all out as quick as you can on trans men on how misogynistic you can be so then you can go 'well ur a man so#u dont experience misogyny lololol gotem anyways lets keep treating them like how society treats women they hate'#and then once it becomes mainstream that its not cool to hate all dudes including transmascs whom you've decided are somehow worse than cis#men- yall will slide into the shadows pretending you didn't do shit or contribute to shit going on here#but if brought up- you'll panic and scramble to find reasons to justify ur behavior. recycling problematic things those transmascs#supposedly did that are either dated and have been addressed and the person has changed or changed their mind since then or#shit thats been disproven and was never real to begin with#and yall dont want to sit in the silence acknowledging what u did at all so you'll keep deflecting and ignoring it forever#bc facing the reality that you've hurt someone for some reason is really hard for ppl on here
