Creature transformation from a dream I had one time.
When I was pillaging my sketchbooks I found a whole separate transformation I drew! Two for the price of one [second one under cut]
#this was me btw.#the lore was actsholly kinda cool. interdimentional travel kinda worked like stranger things.where there were sides but there were infinent#sides you can punch your pencil though the paper to. except also insteed of paper it was more like a spunge. and you traveled though the#spounge bits to get to other places. it was like a series of white hallways and eatch hallway represented a room in the regular world#if you cliped out of the hallways you whould wind up into the coresponding room. eventually you whould make it to a gateway sometimes and#that was a diffrent dimention. also in the hallways were sometimes golden doors. going though those lead you to safe rooms. you cant clip#out of them and they are stationary. also the nothing choudlent get in there and some other stuff chouldent either so it was fine to sleep#in them. except once you left the room the door whould disapear and you chouldent go into it ever again. it aplyed to an individual basis#the hallways were incredably dangerous tho. only the most dangerous beasts chould survive in the harsh conditions and unfortunently my#adventures into the multiverse tought one of these speices how to get out of the hallways and into the worlds it conected..#they took my parents... i was in denyal for a long time that the people i was liveing with were no longer my family. they took my other#brother then. they whould wear bodys like suits. useing their bodys to sustain their own. they were basically just brains that looked like#eels and let the bodys they took do all the work. but my family was dead. they were no longer my parents and brohter. they were takeing my '#little brother next. but when they were going to take them they were notified i knew about them. so they headed back to confrount me. they#locked my brother in my parents room and while they were trying to get into the bathroom i was locked it in i went though the hallways and#came out into the room with him. we scrambled out the window and i carryed my brother down to the ground. we ran to my sisters house. i told#her we needed to run. but she turned back as we entered the woods and yelled to her parents saying we were leaveing. her parents were also#no longer her parents. so they knew. and we ended up haveing to fight for our lives in the woods. my sister died. but then big lore drop: i#was human plus minus. between the sponge hallways was the nothing there was nothing between the hallways and in that nothing nothing lived.#the nothing was always so hungery. it whould try to eat the creatures of the hallways if you stayed in one spot for too long. one time a#traveler in the inbetween was being hunted by the nothing. it came though into the room where conception occured at the same time the n#nothing reached into the world in its wild hunger. but nothing can not exsist in something so it ceaced to be. but something was created.#a life a soul form nothing. the nothing was sucked into this spontainous creation of nothing from something and became. that something. the#nothing was born a human. and in the nothing becomeing something grate power of creation was born as well within me. If we had met Hercules way earlier than season 5, his reunion with Snow would've actually been emotional.
I know he's mostly there for plot reasons and the establishment of ancient gods and myths but my god was this plot line shoehorned in.

Bro. She just wanted to play fucking Neopets man. She wanted to move on with her life and start over with fucking Neopets after regaining her will to live.
Idk if those three did this of their own accord or were threatened with termination if they didn't, but still? I'd rather have been fired. With their following it'd be easy as shit to start over. Even still, Nijisanji has displayed not only unprofessional behavior, but outright toxic and harassing behavior.
Like holy fuck. Not even a little class about this whole situation.
She survived an attempted suicide caused by a toxic work environment and poor management, so you fire her.
She tries to regain her life by restarting her old channel, so you release a business statement- officially aimed at investors- and say her termination will be ***negligible*** to profits.
She opens up a store and hits a subscriber milestone of 300k before her stream back. Knowing the internet hates you right now, YOU CHOOSE TO SELL MERCH instead of properly addressing and apologizing.
ON HER FIRST. GAME STREAM. BACK. After she has gone through mental hell, knowing she is suicidal, knowing she was looking forward to playing FUCKING. NEOPETS. Just to be fucking happy again. To do something her management wouldn't let her do. You have 3 of your top talents- timed at PRECISELY THE MOMENT SHE GOES LIVE TO START A NEW CHAPTER OF HER LIFE, JUST WANTING TO MOVE ON- release a "statement" that not only seems to be basically a loosely scripted "no u" statement, but also shoots themselves in the feet by revealing SOMEONE violated the fucking LAW to open case sensitive documents to disclose certain information to them- which is illegal, because only the lawyers were supposed to know those details. During her own stream, Doki started crying and had to end after only 30 minutes to contact her lawyer, but god damn she tried her best to keep a brave face and laugh it off.
And then. And then. Anycolor CEO makes a statement of his own- you know shit is bad when the CEO makes a statement, so what does he do first? Apologize- to INVESTORS.
That is just fucking CRUEL. That is cruel, and fucking STUPID by having Elira, Vox, and Ike say that shit, because the smarter thing for those three to have done in that situation would either to LEAVE if they were truly "besties" like they kept saying like Pomu, Mika, and other talents did (or are in the process of like Kyo), or like the other talents seemingly are smart enough to do, SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I will reiterate on the off chance anyone reading this thinks about auditioning: never aply to it. Go indie or try another company. For on the even OFF-er chance you ARE part of it: leave now, go indie, try another company, or shit do like Pomu and go back to school to try something else.
This was not professionalism, this is straight up targeted harassment at this point. At this point, I hope Doki takes the company for every fucking penny they're worth. You don't get to act like you're the ones in the right after clear and OPEN harassment and bullying, let alone whatever the fuck went on behind the scenes.
I didn't even care much for Selen other than she was Mumei Hololive's real life friend, but I'm actually somehow even more furious over today than i was in my last post about Doki's situation. How can you treat a human being like this? How can you, in a professional setting, behave this way and pretend you are the good guys? I didn't care about her before, but shit, I respect her now even more for standing up to that shit.

New headcanon of the day:
Shadow Milk would sing really loudly and dramaticaly teenage girl pop songs to annoy the fuck out of the other beasts. And also did with Elder fairy. And he now does it to annoy Pure Vanilla.
I am a firm believer that Pure Vanilla in his nightmares sometimes he founds him singing "Call me maybe" in the most obnoxious and fake girly voice he can. And everytime he is going on with his day and "Oops I did it again" randomly gets stuck in his head, he knows is Shadow Milk's fault.
This also aply to songs from adds or any really well know song.

Hey so, what the fuck is up with Shilo and Emizel?
Like yeah, they're brothers. Confirmed twins by Condi. How???
It's been made pretty clear that Shilo is half human, or at least in those kinds of vibes. There is never once a mention of his turning, he seems pretty clueless on humans, he has aged to his current age. But then he can also somewhat digest food, and his aura looks like a human aura. Yeah, that's all good, checks out.
What about Emizel? It is very hinted at, if not stated that Jeffrey is not his real father, but that he found or adopted him when he was still a baby. If Emizel is half vampire like Shilo, wouldn't he show that? He would, yeah, at least a bit. But he hasn't.
Even if takes more human traits, like Shilo takes more vampires traits. But he hasn't. There are no vampire traits. He's not faster, not stronger, doesn't have enhanced senses. I'm sure he would've noticed by now if he could do some mind shit or thought that blood looked particularily yummy. Even appearance wise, while we don't know exactly what he looked like, it is said that he is going through the vampire transition, becoming paler, getting fangs, pointy ears, red eyes. That is changing, he did not have that before. He looked like a human, he acted like a human.
The only time when he's human that he acts vampiric is when they say that "in the streetlight, it's almost like your eyes glow red" (not a direct quote, AT ALL, pulled from my ass and memore) but that is in reference to the all of the Demons. The whole gang have symbolism in their eyes.
The other time is when Emizel has been bitten and has the urge to bite his soon-to-be-sire back. There is something urging him to bite the guy. But that isn't necessarily a vampire thing. Vampires don't really bite other vampires. And for all we know, maybe there's some dying instinct that recognizes that vampire blood could save your life if you've been bitten. Or hell, Emizel just seems like he's kinda just like that. It does not seem out of character for his last dying action to be to bite someone.
So like, wtf? Why is Shilo half vampire and Emizel not?
I still think that the queen is their mom. I don't think she'd give a shit about Shilo if he weren't her son. And Emizel seems like the one she's keeping tabs on.
So here's my Lil theory. It was mentioned that vampires could briefly turn humans to eat shit. Now I don't know the vampire masquerade mechanics or shit, but it seems to me like maybe that could aply to more than just eating food. So like, maybe miss Queen Vampire wanted a night on the town, or hell, maybe she wanted a kid. So she got it on with some human, maybe Jeffrey, maybe not.
Gurl gets pregnant, but oops, it's twins. And when they're born, after a bit it's achingly clear one of them is more human than the other. Turns out, maybe doing the do while human fucked shit up a bit, so while the kids could carry vampire genes, they also could not at all. In fact it was probably more likely for the kid to not be a vampire at all.
So now her Majesty has two sons. One who looks like a vampire, one who doesn't. She's worried about both of them because they are at the very least half human and humans tend to die easily. She says "Hey, I'll give it time, maybe Emizel will just take time to be more vampire like, it's possible it's not an instantaneous thing"
She waits. Shilo is clearly a vampire. He drinks blood, he has little fangs, his eyes are red. Emizel, decidedly does and is not. After a few months, it becomes clear that Emizel is not a vampire. Fuck. What do they do?
Her council (or whatever the fuck they are) suggest to just kill Emizel, he's human, besides she already has one son, why need another? Miss Her Majesty is like "I dealt with too much morning sickness to get kill this kid". So maybe out of suggestion of the council, maybe out of fear for his life, she decides to ship baby Emizel off the LA without telling anyone. There he can grow up with humans and live a human life and not be as in danger as in the castle. Besides, she can just keep tabs on him so that if he does end up being half vampire she can scoop him up and plop him with his brother.
At least that's what I think. It's possible that Emizel is just built different.

Quick reminder that any pronouns at any time with any frequency are always correct for Medicine Pocket. She didnt say “I go by they/them” she didnt say “I go by all pronouns” (which from experience usually means prefering diferent pronouns constantly.) she specifically stated that she does not give an 18th of a shit, and that she finds people trying to find any “correct” usage of pronouns to be annoying. That also aplies to pronoun switching. You can just pick one and it wouldnt matter.
Medicine Pocket is objectively speaking genderless but more noticably Gender apathetic.
Like the neo pronoun people also get to go crazy too. Like how is that not cooler than just trying to inforce They/Them for everyone?

So, someone asked for a tutorial of this animation so, why not?
I need to say first that I'm not a profesional animator, I'm a selftaught artist and I'm terrible at teaching/making tutorials so maybe this isn't the best example of how to animate.
Having said that, this was my process:
I first drew the important key frames, in other words, where I wanted point A and point B to be. No details, only body and head (I have no save of the original frames but basically no bells or ribons nor ruffles)
Then I needed a frame in betwen to conect them
I added a bounce effect duplicating the images, squeezing and stretching it a little (I have no save of this part but I have a video on my phone from january of last year, sorry it looks a little bad, I had to crop it)
I slowed it down so you can see the bounce
It's just like 3 frames each bounce
Now, to animate all the frames I started from A to inbetween 1,
then later to point B and closed the loop with inbetween 2.
To make this easier I drew a "rute" on the background
It looked something like this
and with the animation
It's a process of trial and error. While you are drawing the frame you don't actually know if it's the correct pose (unless you are some kind of god), so you have to draw the inbetweens, check how it looks in movement, spot where it lack/exceeds frames or where it needs more space between frames... untile it's finished and you get something like this.
As you can see only 8/46 frames aren't drawn. These 8 frames are little "stops" for the images so the character is still.
Some of these frames has the character still but something else is moving, like Moons hat.
Finally, I got to animate the details: sunrays, hat, bells, etc. Each of these objets has its own physics and this part enters more in how I belive the physics would behave like having in mind the mass of the objet and the inertia.
Example:
The hat has a lot of inertia because fast movement so: it moves faster and it takes time to stop.
The ribons and ruffles has less inertia because even though it is still fast is a slower movement so: it moves fast BUT stops fast.
Note to add: the faster and objet moves the less frames it needs to be drawn, sometimes it may need to draw the character/object deformed to look right. The slower it moves the more frames you'll have to draw and the more precision you'll need to make it look right.

Another note to add: this is animated at 24fps, this means every 1 second has 24 images. Most cartoons and movies are animated at 24-25 fps, this not only aplies to 2d animation but also 3d and stopmotion.
Fun fact: the human eye perceives between 30-60 fps, however animating at 30 fps or more can give an unnatural feeling to the animation.

I added a couple of frames to make it a lil' more smooth.

Asteroid Queen's (5457) and King (2305): What type of ruler would you be?
Hello!! I came back with another astrology post. It took me a while to decide wether to describe just one of these asteroids or both since I was doubtful if these energies aplied based on the genre we were born with but, at the end of the day, I've realized they both aplied in our charts since we all carry the dual energy of the masculine and femenine within. Having a deeper connection to the femenine or masculine energy will depend on the person but they will both affect us.
Putting aside this early considerations, it can be said that these asteroids, Queen's and King, signifies not only what type of power we possess once we embrace this hidden leadership power, it also describes what type of ruler would we be so, in this post, I will describe how will your leadership and power play out based on the sign and house these asteroids falls in.

Aries/1st house: these are the warrior queens/kings. The fearless queens/kings. The rulers who possess a natural attitude and energy of a queen/king just by looking at them and are not afraid of pursuing what they want. Even if it means sending others to fight in a war. Braveness and a fighting spirit are some of the good traits of this rulers, but their impatience, impulsiveness, and bad temper could make them take bad decisions in some cases.
Taurus/2nd house: these are the practical and traditional rulers that wants to improve their kingdom by carefully working on a set of projects that could increase the security, food, and money. They are not impulsive when it comes to decide something or waste money, they will think through every opportunity to find every possible disadvantage, and some plans will be accepted depending if the benefits will last in the long run. Be careful though of greed and obsession with money.
Gemini/3rd house: this is the group of the intelectual and intelligent queens/kings. They are meant or capable to lead and they have a fighting spirit that will keep the competition away. Even if sometimes it means to kill them. With the amount of power they possess, they could change the whole history of the kingdom, granting them power, but also it can destroy it if the need for power is not carefully controlled.
Sagittarius/9th house: these queens/kings could be religious by nature, may rule over a different place that they were born into, or they will learn a lot throughout their life, being it by lessons from very early on or through personal experience. They will learn a lot about different lenguages and subjects, and the manners they could show in different occasions is impecable. The only downside of this sign I can think of would be that they could try to appear as they know more than others or they will try to impose their beliefs above others.
Capricorn/10th house: these queens/kings are serious by nature. In general, they don't let their feelings or their own interest come in the way of rulling their kingdom since they know that the only way to do it involves putting a lot of hard work and responsability. They would rule by a hard hand, a straight face that may make them look cold many times, and a serious consciousness of what people expect them to do. Even if they are struggling, they will try to make their reign work at all costs and to leave a legacy afterwards.
Aquarius/11th house: these group of rulers could be very spontaneous, intelligent, rebellious or exotic in some way. I’ve meaning to send this ask for ages and finally found the courage to do so :) I started reading lionheart on a whim in the beginning of November and since them after reading everything a couple of times, all I can say is that it is a masterpiece. I am so in love with your writing, especially with how you give Draco the space to be gracious and grow up. I love for example when they are in the Slytherin common room and Draco see for himself that the mermaids are sentient beings just like him. Also, I am completely enamored with the golden quartet (?), the relationships between them feel much more balanced, and I have so much love for Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I do think you does the characters justice, if not written in a better and more honest, human way. Btw, I love your Narcisa because I am such an apologist for her and her crimes. (If Narcisa has million fans, then I'm one of them. If Narcisa has one fan, then I'm THAT ONE. If Narcisa has no fans, that means I'm dead.). This also aplies for hermione. Anyway, all I am trying to do is to put into words what the world you design means to me, but alas I do not seem to have. When the time comes for my unborn children to read the Harry Potter series, I am showing them your books and telling them it is canon.
Now that I am done showering you with complements, I have a couple of questions. First, after reading the last chapter (which I adored), the fight between Draco and Sirius, one of my favorite moments, kept coming to mind. Was it intentional for Draco to give such honest wake up call for Theo basing himself from the talk he had with Sirius years ago? Secondly, I am not sure with you already answer this, if so, feel free to tell me, but if you could choose Poet, Soldier or King for each – Draco, Harry, Hermione, and Ron – which one would they be?

Thank you, my friend! This is a completely lovely ask, and as I often do with lovely asks, I've hoarded it for a while to re-read whenever I want a nice treat. However, I've left the question unanswered long enough.
If we're going to do the Soldier/Poet/King test, I want to complicate it a little. You can either do it by personality (the way we do when we say "I'm soldier!" or "I'm poet!") or you can do it by narrative role, i.e. what you actually do in the context of the story. Those can be different. For instance, you can be a poet-coded soldier (your chosen weapon is your word, but you're pushed by your circumstances to fight), or a soldier-coded king (you carry a mighty sword, but you're forced off the battlefield to rule, i.e. you want to fight but you can't). That opens up the range of ways to fill the role. So it's like:
Obviously, the central axis here is going to be the most satisfied/content with their lot in life, but there's a broad range of happinesses.
If you ask me, Harry is a poet-coded king, because he's incredibly reluctant to take leadership, and he doesn't want anyone to fight for him. He runs away in Deathly Hallows because he can't stand to be at the center of a war (which is going to happen anyway) and has only accepted Ron and Hermione's sacrifice begrudgingly. It's also worth saying that Harry's best moments come when he's trying to talk someone down: he's telling Remus to go back to Tonks, he's telling Slughorn to preserve Lily's memory by being noble for her sake, he's telling Riddle to "try for remorse." Harry is at his best when he's giving consolation and understanding, not when he's fighting; his signature spell is Expelliarmus. Kid's not a soldier. And he hates the idea of being a king. (This is, not coincidentally, one of the unhappiest combinations.)
I read Ron as a true soldier, not because he enjoys fighting, but because that's almost always his knee-jerk reaction to conflict, and it's also where a lot of his strengths lie. Ron is brash and bold and he will swing if you step to him, and that's why people love him (or hate him, if they do). Even in his best moments, when he's being a strategist and tactician, he's employing his skills in the service of battle. And the narrative is happy to put him in positions where that's the skill he has to contribute. He thinks of the basilisk fangs and the house-elves in the kitchens; he's good at tactics, but he doesn't do broad-strokes strategy.
Hermione is king-coded soldier, because I think in a different series of novels, she is absolutely the protagonist, and she kind of thinks she should be. She's proactive, driven, clever, and calculating, and she orders people around like she's the boss of them — usually with good reason, but she still does. She sees herself as the HBIC, and she often gets a bit irritated when other people don't jive with that idea. It's funny how often Harry gets along by just doing what Hermione tells him. That being said, her narrative role is being sworn in Harry's service, and as the books go on, she increasingly embraces that. She defends him and offers to risk her life for him, sacrifices volumes (her parents!!) and compromises her safety (gets tortured!) for his sake, all without complaining or seeming to begrudge Harry at all. He's her king; she's his knight. Which is another way of saying soldier.
Draco is a poet-coded soldier, or possibly a poet-coded king, depending on what direction you take his arc from the source material. In the books, he's kind of a flop, God bless him, he doesn't really manage much in the final days of the war. Besides refusing to identify Harry (after identifying both of Harry's well-known travel companions... booboo you tried), he's basically fit for neither use nor ornament from Book 6 onward. But taken more broadly, he is someone who absolutely does not want to be here — he doesn't want to fight, he doesn't want to be in danger, he doesn't want to risk people — getting conscripted forcibly into a conflict that was running for years before he was born. And he's conscripted, like Harry, because of his heritage; it's a position he was born into. Depending on how you read his relationship to power, and having it, he can either be a soldier or a king, or someone teetering on the cusp between them.

What do you think about the claim that Zuko and Katara balance each other out more than Katara and Aang do?
The claim comes from how in the finale, Aang and Katara both succeeded in their tasks while apart and if Zuko or Katara was replaced with someone else, at least one of them would have died.
"The writers knew Zuko would need a doctor after the Agni Kai and Katara is the only healer on the team" is not the asme as them balancing each other out as characters.
"Being a good duo in a fight" is not the same as being compatible as a couple.
The yin to Zuko's yang is Mai, because she reminds him to control his temper and he makes her come out of her shell. Katara and Aang are literally shown doing the push-and-pull (yin and yang) movement. Both couples have way more positive interactions with each other than negative.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: Katara and Zuko have the wrong things in common, and the things in which they are opposites push them away from each other instead of bringing them closer together.
They're both head-strong and super emotional, which would lead not only to fights, but in canon also makes them naturally drawn to people that are more "chill" (again, just look at the characters they ended up with). Katara wants to be a fighter and healer and go back to her tribe to be with her family, Zuko wants to the ruler of the Fire Nation.
"Opposites attract" is not a universal truth. No one wants to date their exact copy, but no one wants their complete opposite either. Sun/Moon, Fire/Water and Red/Blue are neat aesthetics and can have a deep meaning, but that not the same as romantic compatibility - and as I've repeatedly stated, that kind of imagery/parellel is not at all exclusive to Zuko and Katara, and it can often aply to large groups of characters and the nations itself because balance between the elements/people is the core of the show, so it makes no sense to act like it MUST be romantic when it comes to Zuko and Katara and ONLY to Zuko and Katara.
