FANGIRLING
Tumblr media
PJO: perseus jackson x fangirl!reader
CATEGORY: flufff & kinda cringey
SYNOPSIS: percy and his girlfriend being fangirls
WARNINGS: mentions of taylor swift, twilight, one direction , fangirling, fandoms, annabeth and grover. soooo i pretty much wrote a percy jackson x me one shot.
WORD COUNT: 297
You, yes YOU, are dating the heartthrob Percy Jackson. And guess what? You're a total fangirl for all type of things girly. Like, you're the ultimate Swiftie, 1D superfan, rom-com enthusiast, and Twilight saga devotee. And you're not shy about it – you talk about it all. the. time.
At first, Percy was like, "Whoa, my girlfriend is like, really into this stuff." But you know what? He thinks it's the cutest thing ever.
Seeing you light up and gush about your fandoms? It's like watching a kid in a candy store. Percy can’t help but be charmed by your excitement, and honestly, who wouldn’t be?
So, here's the thing.
Percy starts getting into all the things you love. At first, it's just to bond with you, but soon enough, he's singing along to Taylor Swift songs, discussing Team Edward vs. Team Jacob (he's totally Team Edward, by the way), and obsessing over One Direction's reunion rumors. And get this – he starts gossiping about it with his demigod pals.
One day, Percy’s chatting with Annabeth, and Grover, and he's all like, "Guys, did you hear about Taylor's latest album announcement? I totally can’t wait!"
And they're like, "Dude, you sound just like y/n." And Percy’s all, "Heck yeah, I do. Isn’t she the coolest?" His friends are low-key shook, but you know what? Percy couldn’t care less. He's head over heels for you and your hyper fixations.
And the best part? You and Percy are now the ultimate power couple. You chat, laugh, and fangirl/fanboy together, and honestly, it’s the kind of relationship goals that make even Aphrodite jealous. You and Percy – the hero and the fangirl – taking on the world.
So yeah, that's how Percy became the ultimate fangirl boyfriend. Who knew demigods could be so into mainstream stuff, right? But hey, love knows no bounds, not even when it comes to fangirling.

A Little Too Drunk To Remember
Tumblr media
[P.J Masterlist] | [Main Masterlist]
Warning: usage of y/n and y/l/n (like 5 times I think), mention of alcohol and being drunk, Annabeth close to murdering Percy, kissing, aged up pjo characters
Pairing: reader x Percy Jackson
W.C: 2k Note: I'm planning on making my Percy Jackson tag list! Comment if you want to be part of it! Also if you want to be part of my overall taglist! Synopsis: After celebrating a bit too much after their win, Percy gets a little too drunk to remember who his girlfriend is.
Tumblr media
Camp Half-Blood had just completed another successful game of Capture the Flag on Friday. The blue team emerged as the victors, thanks to the exceptional leadership of the Athena Cabin. To commemorate their win, a celebration was organized in their honor. Once Chiron and Mr. D had retired for the night, the real party began. The Hermes cabin unveiled their covert stash of pilfered alcoholic beverages. Both blue and red team members danced and reveled throughout the night. Percy, being part of the blue team, was not exempt from the festivities.
By midnight, Grover, Annabeth, and a thoroughly intoxicated Percy stumbled onto the front porch of Poseidon's cabin. "Percy, get up! You can't sleep outside here!" whispered Annabeth, attempting to help him rise from his slumber on the chilly cement floor. "Hold him while I open the door," Grover instructed Annabeth, who stared at him with wide eyes. "I swear, I'm getting annoyed," she grumbled, struggling to keep Percy upright. "Come on, Percy. We're almost there," Grover said, taking one of Percy's arms and placing it over his shoulder, guiding him inside the cabin. The three of them attempted to enter the cabin discreetly, but Percy tripped over nothing, causing Grover and Annabeth to stumble along with him.
"Ow! Percy!"
"Seaweed-brain, you're heavy!"
"Shhhhh! Be quiet, both of you!"
"What the hell is going on?" a voice asked, and moments later, the lights flickered on. You stood there, slightly shocked, observing the scene before you. "You guys look like you could use some help," you chuckled, walking towards the group. You assisted Annabeth and Grover in standing up before the three of you carried Percy to one of the beds in the corner of the room. A sigh of relief escaped your lips as you gently laid Percy down on the soft mattress.
"I was this close to leaving him on the ground," Annabeth said, raising her hand to demonstrate the small distance between her thumb and forefinger. You laughed at her playful gesture and glanced at Percy, who lay on the bed completely oblivious to the minor predicament he had caused. "I would have done the same if I were both of you," you shrugged, causing the two of them to laugh.
After some persuasion, you managed to convince Annabeth and Grover to retire for the night instead of trying to assist you with the situation that went by the name of Percy Jackson. You sat down on the bed beside Percy and reached out to touch his curly blonde hair, which had grown longer over the past three months. Rising from your seat, you walked towards the small closet next to the bed and retrieved some fresh, comfortable clothes for him to sleep in. Placing them on the edge of the bed, you attempted to wake Percy. "Perc? Babe, you need to wake up and change," you whispered. He emitted a small grunt, slowly sitting up and rubbing his eyes, adjusting to the bright light in the room.
He took the clothes from your hands and was about to lift his shirt when he paused, looking at you. "Miss, you seem nice and all, but could you please look away? I don't think it would be appropriate to change in front of a girl, especially considering I have a girlfriend," Percy's words caught you off guard, and you couldn't help but giggle, causing his eyebrows to furrow in confusion. "Uh, okay. I'll be in the restroom if you need me," you said, trying to stifle your laughter. He nodded, waiting for you to enter the restroom and close the door before changing out of his soiled clothes.
You covered your mouth with your hand, attempting to suppress your laughter. The serious expression on Percy's face as he made his request amused you. It was at that moment you realized that he mistook you for someone else. After a few minutes, you decided to emerge from the restroom. You saw Percy surveying the room as if it were his first time entering it."You okay, Perce?" You asked him out of concern. He had only broken out of his trance when you placed a hand on his shoulder. His blue eyes looked up at you and you were stopping yourself from melting right there and then. "You still need to brush your teeth before bed," You reminded him and he calmly nodded before walking towards the restroom.
You stared at his stumbling figure as he walked. You were about to walk over to him to help but he raised his hand in front of you, giving you a sign that he's alright. You lay down on your side of the bed, waiting for your boyfriend to come back. You didn't realize you were starting to fall asleep and didn't notice he had already left the restroom.
You woke up to the sound of shuffling. "Percy?" You groggle reaching out for his side but feel only the cold bedsheets. Eyes lazily opening, you look down from the bed and see Percy lying uncomfortably on the cold tiled floor of his cabin. "Parcy, baby, you can't sleep there," You tried convincing him but he only shook his head.
"I can't. I don't want to upset y/n," He sleepily said. "Why is that? I'm sure she wouldn't mind," You giggled lightly and hoped it convinced him but it didn't. He shook his head again and turned in the other direction. "I don't want to sleep beside someone who isn't my girlfriend. Goodnight, miss," After that, you realized you wouldn't be able to convince him at all so you just decided to sleep.
You had a bit of trouble sleeping since you weren't exactly used to sleeping without Percy beside you. Eventually, as the music from outside slowly ceased, your eyes also slowly closed due to sleepiness. It wasn't the best but it would do.
Hours later, you woke up to the sound of loud music playing. Being a child of Apollo does suck sometimes. The sun god would ride in his amazing chariot in the morning while blaring loud music that only his children would hear. "He does like showing off, even to his children," You mumble as you get out of the bed and walk to the restroom. You spotted Percy still lying on the cold floor, sleeping. You crouched down by his head pushed his hair out his forehead and gave it a gentle kiss.
You walked to the bathroom and did your business. When you walked out you saw Percy sitting on the floor with his hands on his head. "You okay there babe?" You asked him. You obviously know he wasn't feeling well, you just wanted him to confirm it. "No, my head is throbbing like crazy and why am I sleeping on the floor? My whole body is screaming in pain right now," He said massaging his shoulder.
"You refused to sleep beside me last night so you just slept on the floor," You said sitting on the bed with a hot cup of coffee in hand. "Why would I do that?" He asked confused. "I swear I couldn't remember a single thing from last night,"
"Well, you got carried here by Grover and Annabeth and when you got in you refused to let me touch you or be near you in fear of your "girlfriend" getting angry," You recall the happenings from last night. He stared at you in confusion while grabbing your hand to let you play with his hair.
"Why would I do that?" He asks himself while staring off into the distance. "I don't know, baby. You tell me," You shrug while sipping your coffee. You spent a few minutes in silence, your hand never stopping to play with Percy's hair. "OH MY GODS" You suddenly hear him say out loud and you instantly realize he remembered everything from last night. "I did not just say that," He had his face buried in his hands with his ears turning a bright shade of red in embarrassment. You laughed while he continued to whine and complain in embarrassment.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered. "It's okay baby don't need to say sorry. I found it hilarious last night," You laughed. Percy slowly stood up and wrapped his arms around your frame. He had to bend down a bit because he was taller than your sitting figure. "I'm sorry," His head was burning in between your shoulder and neck, and you felt wet and gentle kisses being placed on your neck.
"It's fine, baby, I understand," You chuckled lightly and stroked his hair. If you never heard a human purr before, now you do. You and Percy stay silent like that for a few minutes more. It was getting rare for the both of you to have any peace around her now that more campers were starting to enter camp day by day. Damn, those gods be multiplying every day. Percy had to help train some kids while you had to take care of the new Apollo kids that were claimed by your father. Both of you seemed so busy that it's starting to become a rare occurrence for you both to be like this with each other. You just realized now how much you craved your boyfriend's warm and soft embrace. It makes you not want to let him go.
"My headache is healing," Percy mumbles after a few minutes. You look at your hands and see them glowing golden. "Oops, my bad," You laughed. Percy grabs a hold of your thighs and lifts you. You yelped and held on to him in panic. He laughs at the sound and sets you down on his lap. "I missed you," He says brushing a strand of hair out of your face and behind your ear. "I missed you too," You say while you stared at his blue eyes that greatly reminded you of the ocean.
"I missed you too, Percy," You smiled. He stared at you a few seconds more before removing the gap between both of you. His lips tasted sweet from the sugary blue candy his mother gave him before he left for camp and a hint of saltiness that reminded you of ocean water. How did he taste like that? You don't even know. His lips felt so soft and pillowy against your own and you just know he was using the lip cream you gave him after you told him how chapped his lips were.
After a moment you both pull away, breathless. Percy smiles as he stares at your breathless figure. Lips plump, cheeks flushed, and eyes sparkling. That's when he realized how so in love he was with you and you felt the same about him too. The two of you stared at each other with love and so much passion. Not even the gods can deny how much you both were made for each other.
"Y/n we need yo-" Both you and Percy's heads turn to the door of the cabin. You saw Will and Lee standing by the entrance, cheeks pink after seeing the position you were both in. "Percy are you awa-" Annabeth and Grover arrive behind the two Apollo children and freeze after seeing you both.
"We'll just-" "I think it's better if we-"
"Yeah," The 4 close the door, and you and Percy look at each other and start to laugh loudly. "Did you see Grover's face?" Percy asked in between his laughter. "Poor young Will!" You wheezed. "Jackson you better get out of there in the next 5 minutes!" You both hear Annabeth yell from the outside but none of you paid attention after remembering the way her face turned so red. "Y/L/N we need help out here!" Lee yelled out.
"You heard them, Jackson, you need to leave," You say to him after the both of you calm down. "You need to as well Y/L/N," He said back with a smirk. He was leaning down to kiss you again before…
"Y/L/N!" "JACKSON!"
Maybe next time…

Photosynthesis (fluff)
Luke Castellan x gn!demeter!reader fluff
Prompt: It's spring clean at Camp Halfblood and Luke wants to bath in sun with you
I feel like i haven't posted in forever because i was busy grinding Stardew Valley. But im back so enjoy!!
Spring at Camp Halfblood was always an event. It was time for a deep clean of all cabins and the big house, sweeping the arena and taking care of all the minor things before the majority of the campers arrived for the summer.
As the counselor of the Demeter cabin it was your job to supervise the campers that took care off the strawberry fields. They had to be in top shape before the next season.
Today was one of the first sunny days of the year, even though with the wind it was still a little cold. You were shooing some campers around, most of them being your siblings but Luke also spotted some satyrs and a few unclaimed kids. Castor and Pollux both leaned over rows of strawberries, parting the plants and placing the spare ones into buckets gently.
"Connor, Travis, put that worm down!" You shouted across the strawberry field. The two raven-haired boys where running across the field, stepping on some plants and pestering the other kids with some worms they found in the dirt.
Luke smiled at you as he approached you, taking in the sight of you. You were wearing the orange camp halfblood tshirt, blue jeans and green flipflops. You were giving the siblings a killer gaze which left Luke laughing. He approached you quickly and wrapped his arms around you.
"You need to teach your kids some manners." You growled unhappy. Luke kept you in a tight hug and rocked you around a little. "And you need to take a breath." He mocked, pocking your forehead and rubbing over the angry wrinkles on your forehead.
You huffed and bumped your head into Luke's shoulder before you raised your head and kissed him gently. Luke smiled into the kiss and rubbed his thumbs over your hips.
"You look very pretty today." He whispered. "The spring gives you a nice glow." You smiled in return and couldn't help but to blush a tiny but. "I'm so glad the winter is over." You groaned into his chest. The winter always left you feeling dull and empty.
Luke rubbed your back up and down. "Agreed. I hate seeing you so sad because of it. Now you are blooming again, that's way better." He laughed slightly and you could feel the laugh vibrating in his chest. You grinned up at him but suddenly, there was a distant scream and two laughs. "Oh for heaven's sake." You grumbled angrily and pulled away from Luke.
You jumped over a few strawberry plants and stormed over towards the source of the scream.
Connor and Travis where hiding behind the Athena cabin, a metal bucket with some worms in the between them. Annabeth Chase, one of the younger Athena girls, was ducking away as they threw worms at her.
You growled angrily and raised your hand. One of the closer apple trees bowed down its branches and picked up the two boys by their hoods.
"Whoa, oh no." Travis shouted as he was lifted a few feet into the air. "And what excatly are you two doing here?" You ask sternly but cracked a smile as you saw Annabeth giggling in the distance.
"We were spreading the worm colony." Travis argued quickly. "That's right. So all plants have enough worms and become pretty." Connor added.
You rolled your eyes and let the tree hold them a little higher over the ground. "I am very sure that Annabeth is pretty enough and doesn't need the assistance of some worms." You argued.
Luke appeared behind you and stopped next to you, standing tall with crossed arms and a smirk. "Luke, help! They're being mean." Connor said, suddenly very whiny and you had to hold back a laugh. Luke chuckled and nodded.
"Mhh, sure. Very, very mean. The most evil person we will ever meet." He joked and patted your hair.
"Can you please let us down?" Travis asked with big, innocent eyes. "No." You said unrelenting. "Please!!" They now whined in unison.
"Come on." Luke patted your back encouraging. You rolled your eyes annoyed. "No."
"What if you get a kiss for it?" Luke suggested mischievously. Connor and Travis groaned dramatically. You smirked at Luke. "You know what... it's a deal."
Luke smiled and leaned closer to you, kissing you gently which caused the siblings to make fake gagging noises. Luke pulled away and leaned his forehead against yours.
"You get another kiss if you let them go now." He whispered. You grumbled unhappy but dropped the Stolls on the floor. They both quickly got up and headed off in a swift pace, turning their heads a few times anxiously which made you laugh.
Luke wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your shoulder. He let out a pleased sigh and peppered your neck with a few kisses which caused you to giggle. "Brats." You mumbled and leaned back into Luke's embrace.
Luke chuckled. "Don't let them ruin your day. Instead i wanted to ask if you wanted to go to the beach with me and do some photosynthesis?"
You burst out laughing. "You know im not a plant?" You chuckled and turned around to hug Luke tightly. "But i would love to lay in the sun with you."
Luke smiled and hugged you back tightly. "Awesome. See? It's photosynthesis."
You rolled your eyes but smiled widely. "Whatever you say, love."

Luke stood in front of her with shaky hands. His sword began to feel like it weighed more than the world, of course that was impossible, as his world was falling apart right in front of him. His world was dying at his own hand and all he could do was stand and watch as the pool of blood surrounding her spread, creating a red abyss around her body, an abyss that he couldn’t get past just so he could hold her for what he thought would be the last time.
Her eyes searched the surrounding forest around them wondering if there was anyone close by that would find her body and give her a proper send off, because surely Luke wouldn’t . Finally her eyes locked on Luke’s, his flooded with anguish and guilt, her’s with anger and gratitude.
Luke dropped his sword, and took three small steps towards her, not looking at the massive gash he’d created in her upper abdomen. Y/N showed no sign of fear or sadness, and that scared him more than anything for some odd reason. The girl he’d known was never one to never show her emotions or speak her mind, that was something he’d adored about her.
“This wasn’t the plan Y/N..” The tears that were building in Luke's eyes suddenly became too heavy and fell, leaving trails of regret down his face.
Luke reached to hold Y/N’s hand, hoping to comfort her in what were going to inevitably be her final moments. He had nothing on hand to help her, and he knew he couldn’t afford the risk of ruining his entire life plan just for her. Her being the girl he’d known for years, the girl who was going to forever hold a piece of his heart, the girl that was going to be the last one to ever see this side of him.
His fingertips grazed her hand and for a moment he felt every ounce of pain ten times more than before. Y/N could see it in his eyes, everything he’d done was finally hitting him, the entire situation was becoming too real for the boy who had taken on so much, but in the end knew nothing.
Y/N pulled her hand away from him, not in sadness or grief, but rather in frustration. Luke lifted his eyes up from her hand to her eyes. His brow furrowed, she looked fine. There was no expression on her face, no tears, nothing. He was falling apart in front the girl he’d loved for years and she looked like she couldn’t care any less about the fact that she was leaving him behind and going somewhere he could no longer follow
“What’s wrong with you..” His brows furrowed in pained frustration, “Why don’t you care about what is happening right now! I’m a traitor, and because of me you’re dying, but you don’t even care!” Luke’s voice raised an octave, desperate for her to have some kind of reaction.
“Luke, there’s nothing wrong with me, in fact I feel more free than I have in years.” There remained no expression on her face as she spoke, “there’s nothing left for me to do here, I’ve already done everything I needed to do in this lifetime.”
Luke's expression went from one of anger into one of sadness, “What do you mean you have nothing left to do..? You have me, us.”
“No Luke, there is no us anymore. Look at me. I’m bleeding to death because of you. You don’t get to tell me that I should grieve the life I could have had with you when I don’t even get to finish this one.” Y/N’s face remained expressionless.
Luke swore he’d never felt pain like the kind he was feeling now. He’d practically killed the girl he claimed to love, and now he has to face the consequences of losing her.
“The funny thing is I would have married you if you’d never done this. We were so happy, and like everything you touch, you destroyed me, Luke.” Her eyes began to feel heavier with every word she spoke.
Luke noticed this, but all he could do was sit next to her frozen in fear. His lower lip began to quiver. ‘I would have married you’ it felt like he’d taken an arrow directly to the heart from Y/N herself. As he looked at her slowly drifting in and out of consciousness, his mind began to drive to what would have been if he wasn’t so fucked in the head.
It would have been them for the rest of their lives. Maybe they would have had a kid,  and he would have had the chance to do what his father never did. Instead he did the same thing, he destroyed the person who he was supposed to love most in this world, and he wasn’t doing anything about it.
“I’m sorry..” His voice was raspy with the tears he was attempting to golf back so he could have one semblance of control at the moment.
His eyes lifted to Y/N’s face, and his world shattered. Her eyes were closed, and her chest no longer held the steady beat that used to calm him down whenever they were together. The tears he was holding back fell, and he couldn;t find it in himself to care about anything other than the body that was sitting lifeless in front of him.
For the first time in his life Luke Castellan felt everything and nothing at the same time, and he had no one to turn to.

Kiss Me If You Can || Part 2
Tumblr media
Character: Bucky Barnes x Thief!Reader
Words Count:  1,214
Summary: What happens when Bucky meet his first love the phantom thief for the second time?
Part 1,- Part 2, Part 3,-
Main Masterlist || buy me Ko-fi 🥹💓
Thank you to anyone who gave a like, reblog, and left a comment. It motivated me to write more.
Tumblr media
The first time Bucky got his heart broken was when he was in junior high school. He was playing the arcade game with Steve when he saw Y/N and her friends at the cafe.
As usual, he always watches her from afar.
Then he saw a boy close to her; a bold and brave boy approached Y/N, capturing her attention in a way Bucky had only dreamed of.
The intimate kiss on her cheek unfolded before his eyes like a scene from a cruel play. Bucky didn’t remember what happened next. He went home and cried. He didn’t leave the house for a week. Even Steve can’t get him out of his bedroom.
Bucky realized that Y/N was out of his league and needed to change to stand beside her. He always watching her walk away.
*********
Years go by, and once again, he watches her slipping away. And the most absurd thing is she became a phantom thief. It turns out he doesn’t know a thing about Y/N.
After the chaos she made at the army, they want to catch her. She became their first enemy.
Now, Bucky has another chance to catch her again. Today, his team got told they needed to guard a V.I.P. at the masquerade ball.
Because there’s a rumor the phantom thief will appear at the party, the army sends Bucky and the team to catch the thief.
Bucky didn’t tell anyone that the thief was his first love.
Y/N was right; he couldn’t imagine her inside a prison cell. He can’t let anyone else catch her beside him.
*****
The ballroom sparkled with lights as Bucky and his team guarded a VIP named Richard Harrington. Richard was a rich guy with a big attitude. He couldn't stop bragging about a super expensive diamond necklace up for auction.
"This necklace is worth more than your wildest dreams, Lieutenant. I doubt you've ever seen something this classy," Richard said with a smirk, acting like he was the most critical person in the room. He looked down on everyone, making it clear he thought he was better than them.
As he went on about the necklace, his rudeness showed. He didn't care about anyone else, treating the staff like they were beneath him.
Bucky had to keep his cool, but Richard's mean attitude set the tone for a night that promised to be full of tension and surprises.
As Bucky and his team scanned the room for the elusive phantom thief, Richard Harrington had a different idea. With a sly grin, he pointed to a woman across the room, claiming she was an important guest, and demanded Bucky to dance with her.
"This is Isabella," Richard said, gesturing toward the woman. "She's someone you should be honored to dance with, Lieutenant. Make sure you don't mess it up."
Isabella, the mysterious woman, wore a striking dress that shimmered like the night sky, her mask adding an air of secrecy to her appearance. She approached Bucky with a confident smile, defying the unspoken rules of social hierarchy.
Their dance was like a rhythm of unspoken understanding, a chemistry that flowed effortlessly. Bucky felt a sense of familiarity, a nagging feeling that lingered at the edge of his consciousness.
"Why so intense, Bucky?"
Bucky was surprised when he recognized Y/N's voice beneath the disguise. Once again, this woman caught him off guard.
As they moved to the music, Bucky felt a knot tighten in his stomach, realizing Y/N's presence beneath the disguise.
Y/N, in the persona of Isabella, threw a playful remark his way. "Quite the dancer, Lieutenant."
Bucky, attempting nonchalance, replied, "I've had smoother partners."
She grinned, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Maybe you need someone to keep you on your toes."
Bucky said, "I've had enough surprises for one night."
Her laughter, a melody amidst the dance, echoed in the dimly lit hall. "Why so serious, Bucky? Afraid of a little excitement?"
Bucky, masking his inner turmoil, quipped, "Just trying to survive the night."
Y/N, with a playful glint in her eye, replied, "Surviving can be overrated, Bucky. Sometimes, you just have to embrace the chaos."
Bucky, smirking, retorted, "Embrace chaos, huh? Let's see how chaotic things can get."
Y/N laughed. “Careful what you wish for, my dear Bucky.”
After she said this, the lights turned off, and everything went dark.
Y/N also slipping away from Bucky grasp.
Every guest immediately panicked, but Richard, as the host party, assured the guest that everything was alright.
The chaos erupted as the lights flickered back to life, unveiling the empty pedestal where the diamond necklace had rested. Richard erupted in fury, pointing fingers at the phantom thief.
Unfazed by the commotion, Bucky directed his team to search among the guests. The elusive thief had cleverly blended in, using the same disguise as the innocent attendees.
While the others inspected the bewildered guests, Bucky ascended to the top floor, determined to catch the culprit. As he reached the rooftop, he was met with the sight of Y/N, ready to make her daring escape.
This time, however, she wore a wingsuit, a sleek silhouette against the city lights, poised to vanish into the night.
With a smirk, she waved the stolen diamond necklace in front of Bucky, the glint of mischief evident in her eyes. "Impressed, Bucky?"
Bucky, a mixture of frustration and admiration, couldn't help but respond, "You enjoy making a spectacle of everything, don't you?"
Y/N chuckled, her fingers tracing the contours of the necklace. "At least I gave you a good chase, right?"
Clenching his fists, Bucky shot back, "This game of yours will catch up with you, sooner or later."
As Y/N turned to make her daring escape, Bucky, fueled by a sudden surge of boldness, blurted out, "Next time I catch you, you won't be leaving my bed."
The unexpected declaration left Y/N momentarily speechless, her usual quick-witted responses failing her.
Caught off guard, she stammered, "Umm, well... I guess, bye?" With a flustered glance back at Bucky, she activated her wingsuit and soared into the night, leaving Bucky on the rooftop.
Bucky scoffed as he watched Y/N disappear into the night. Despite her successful escape, a sense of satisfaction lingered within him. His unexpected declaration made him feel a small victory in catching her off guard.
His words held a truth that echoed in his mind – the next encounter wouldn't be a game.
*****
At Y/N's hideout:
After safely landing on the ground and delivering the stolen diamond necklace to her client, Y/N returned home. Bucky's words echoed in her mind, "Next time I catch you, you won't be leaving my bed."
Embarrassment flushed through her, and her heart raced at realizing she might have pushed the boundaries too far. Y/N acknowledged that she had always seen Bucky as a younger brother, especially given his close friendship with Steve. However, something had shifted.
Sighing, Y/N muttered, "What kind of mess have I gotten myself into?"

A/N: So I am weak, here is the first part of the Waking up in PJO Series, I drew inspiration from a lot of different series and I’ll credit them all at the end. I hope you enjoy this and if you want to be added to the tag list please drop a comment :)
* Your first thought when you wake up is:
* Oh geez, not again
* ‘What is this, the thirtieth world?’
* You’re starting to get tired of this
* To make matters worse you’re never the same age
* One day you’re nineteen, the next time you’re twelve, the time after you’re twenty-one —
* And this time you’re an infant, a handful of months old at most.
* You’re swaddled in a thick blanket, held against a woman’s pillowy chest.
* ‘What kind of backwater system am I going to have to fix this time.’ You wonder, bitterness ringing through your thoughts.
* You aren’t allowed to be bitter for long, the gentle sensation of a warm chest and familiar scent lull you back to sleep again.
* ‘I have an entire life in this body this time, I should do it right.’ You think
* You’re three years old the next time you’re able to process cognitive thoughts.
* ‘Well this hardly seems fair.’
* You look straight ahead, staring into the abyss, and your father looks back at you.
* He doesn’t look like your original dad, but that’s hardly surprising. You’ve been in a dozen or so worlds where your parents don’t look like your parents—
* ‘At least I always look like myself though.’
* This time your father is a younger man, in his early twenties, he has jet black hair that seems to stick in every direction, skin the color of pale moonlight, and heterochromic eyes; one amber and the other green, both remind you of swirling galaxies.
* But the most noteworthy thing about him is that he seems to be tinged in red. The hue saturates his knuckles, flushes across the bridge of his nose, and stains the whites of his eyes.
* ‘He doesn’t look angry though,’
* “Daddy what’s wrong?” You ask, your small hand resting on his face.
* ‘Just sad.’
* His large, calloused hand, covers your own.
* “Nothing baby, I’m just so happy you’re here.”
* You’re four when you realize you’re stuck in Percy Jackson
* Your teacher is crouched on the ground, her blue apron soiled with the playground dirt
* That much wouldn’t be all that surprising, the power of despair always stays with you regardless of what body you’re in, radiating from you like an aura to everyone around you if you let it.
* Even more unsurprising is that this small body can’t handle your emotions very well yet. Small outbursts are to be expected.
* What is surprising is the snake strangled in your small fist.
* ‘Normal four year olds can’t strangle snakes.’ You think numbly as your pre-school teacher fluctuates between hysterics and crippling despair.
* You calm yourself down enough after loosening your hold, soothing your teacher the best you can.
* “It’s okay see, we’re both okay.”
* You doubt this is some anime world where even children are overpowered and people seem to heal in a couple of minutes.
* And it doesn’t seem like an original world either, this is a very American landscape.
* ‘What city is this again?’
* New York, Manhattan to be exact
* Something about strangling a snake felt awfully familiar, not to mention that warm golden hue when you were a baby.
* Think about this objectively, your mom is not around, you’re strong but not anime or video game overpowered, and you’re in an American setting.
* You’re about to fall asleep for your afternoon nap when it hits you
* ‘Oh shit, I’m in Percy Jackson.’
* It seems unlikely, but wilder things have happened
* ‘Maybe it was only a matter of time. Still there’s only one way to confirm it.’
* “Hey Daddy,” your father glances at you from the rear view mirror in the car. “Why don’t I have a mommy?”
* You feel bad asking your father a question you know will bring him pain, especially when you see hurt flash in his eyes.
* Your father is a handsome man, well built with beautiful eyes, you wouldn’t be surprised if a goddess found him appealing.
* “Your mother went somewhere far away, somewhere you and I can’t follow for a long time.”
* On one hand he makes it sound like she passed away
* On the other hand this is a very vague statement, for all you know your mother is in Olympus or seducing her next victim.
* “What was she like?” Your legs swing underneath you.
* “Your mother was, is, the love of my life.” He reaffirms. “She brought warmth with her into every room she entered, and she was the kindest soul I ever encountered.”
* Even now he looks positively dazzled when he speaks about her.
* ‘So my mom is a goddess, great.’
* His description doesn’t help either, at best it’s a vague description and at worst they’re the words of an unreliable narrator.
* ‘So his love sickness aside, maybe my mom is a minor goddess like Hestia, or maybe Nike or Themis.’
* Though who knows, maybe his description’s completely off and your mom is someone like Athena or Artemis.
* Regardless of who your mom is,
* “Come on baby, I heard you had a bad day at preschool today, I’ll make you something yummy to make up for it.” Your father promises, holding you tenderly against his chest as you make your way up to your familiar Apartment in Manhattan, waving hello to the doorman of your building.
* You’re glad you have your dad
* He may not be a parent your recognize from a previous life, but the way he holds you so gently, the familiar scent that wafts over you — like spring and amber mixed together — has your eyes drooping close
* “I love you daddy.” You yawn against his neck
* “I love you too baby.”
* You’re seven years old when you meet the black dog for the first time.
* You’re walking home from elementary school, sighing as you cross the street.
* ‘I have to be more careful, Dad practically had a heart attack last night when he saw me reading the book about Greek mythology.’
* “W-why are you reading that book sweetie?”
* “The pictures looked pretty.”
* “W-w-well what about this one? Don’t you think these pictures are prettier?”
* You’re going to have to start handling your research with more tact.
* ‘I get about 30 minutes a day for silent reading, but if I choose a book about Greek mythology everyday my teacher will mention it to my dad, I’ll need to limit myself to one day a week.’
* You’re thinking of making a schedule of things to study every day so you might just appear like a very organized child, instead of the freak you are.
* That’s when you see it.
* On appearance alone it doesn’t seem like anything all that special, the dog is large, a black Great Dane with big brown eyes and a tail wagging a mile a minute.
* And in its mouth is a bright red ball.
* Despite yourself a smile twitches on your lips as you get closer, you’ve seen dog body language enough to know when an animal is uncomfortable
* “Hey boy, what are you doing out here all alone?” You hold out your hand expecting to receive an introspective sniff, but instead the dog placed his whole face on your hand.
* You laugh as you pat his head
* “Why’d your owner leave you alone like this?” You wonder aloud, the dog looks like a purebred, and he’s friendly and social too — it doesn’t appear to be abandonment, but he doesn’t have a leash, just a collar with blue gemstones embedded into luxurious leather.
* ‘Whoever’s dog this is, they must be rich.’
* Not that your father seemed to be hurting for money either considering he’s sending you to all the best schools in Manhattan
* The dog drops the ball into your hand when you still
* Does he want to play fetch?
* It’s only when you look down you see it’s not a ball at all.
* “A pomegranate?”
* Before you can think about what kind of person gives a dog a pomegranate to play with, the dog gives you one final lick before leaping away, leaving you standing alone in the middle of the street.
* “Well that was weird.”
* You meet her when you’re eight years old
* She’s adorned in a varsity jacket, a flip phone in one hand and a dog leash in the other
* The black dog from earlier wags it’s tail
* ‘So this is the bad owner.’
* She looks like a college student, maybe twenty at most. With jet black hair and bright green eyes.
* ‘She looks familiar’
* There’s a certain tint to her though, a gold tint that lingers on her skin, gold flecks in her eyes, a golden sheen to her hair, you don’t know what to make of it.
* “Hey kid, do you know me?”
* “Yeah you’re the lady I’m going to report to my teacher when I get to school.”
* The woman sputters with laughter, her hand covering her mouth as her dog shuffled towards you, pressing its nose against your hand. You pet instinctively.
* ‘You really deserve a better owner. How hard would it be to incapacitate this woman and steal her dog?’ You muse.
* “Looks like Cerb has taken a liking to you.” She states, the dogs practically curled around you it’s head in your small hands.
* “You named your dog Cerb? Like Cerberus?” You feel like the name fits a Rottweiler better than a soft hearted Great Dane.
* “I didn’t pick the name, I inherited him from a distant family member recently.” She shrugs, patting her side, the dog pouts but obediently returns to her side.
* “I’ll see you around kid.”
* ‘This is starting to get weird.’
* You wonder for a second if that was your mother but dispel the thought.
* ‘Dad could do better.’
* You stumble into adolescence without a hitch, running into the college student and her Greek mythology named dog.
* You learn her name is Maki and she’s a sophomore at a local university.
* “So are you in college?” You ask.
* “I guess you could say that, I’m getting a degree in architecture at NYU.” You nod.
* You mainly put up with her to pet her dog.
* And you continue your research into the gods, hoping you might find a clue about who your mother is.
* “They seem very interested in Mythology, they even have a schedule on what type to learn more about everyday, it’s still early but archeology may be a good field of study for them.” Your teacher tells your father during the semi-annual parent teacher conference.
* Your father can barely contain his joy, a wobbly smile over his mouth as he ruffles your hair.
* “They’ve always been fairly independent, but if there’s anything I can do to support them as a parent please let me know.”
* ‘I wonder what dad does to be able to afford all this.’
* It’s something you’ve never really thought of much until now, but the penthouse apartment in Manhattan, the elite private schools, even the designer clothes you wear — the money has to come from somewhere.
* ‘He does seem to work a lot.’
* Your dad is always there for you before school and after school, but you’ve seen him mulling over a stack of paperwork a handful of times when you woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, a heavy sigh heaving from his lips as he leaded through the documents.
* ‘Maybe he’s an executive and he just has really good boundaries.’ You think to yourself.
* You’re also growing fairly certain that your mother was a minor goddess, for one you don’t seem to have any special powers aside from your usual despair aura, and second…
* The monsters are few and far-between. There’s been the odd occasion naturally, a snake that tried to poison you, an Eagle that latched onto your arm and refused to let go, a man with only one eye that eyed you from outside the playground, but one look from you was enough to make them scamper away.
* ‘I must not be worth the trouble to them.’
* Besides it’s not like you need protecting, as long as you have your despair no monster on earth can harm you.
* As you walk home, slightly disappointed that Maki and her dog aren’t at the park today, you think maybe this is okay.
* You don’t need to know who your mother is, your blood is weak enough that you won’t need to go to camp half-blood, you can live a nice long life with your father.
* You smile at the doorman as you walk into the marble lobby of your apartment building.
* ‘Maybe this time there aren’t any problems I need to fix.’ You think as you step onto the elevator.
* ‘Maybe this time I can live a nice peaceful life with my super rich dad.’ You decide, tapping the key code into your door before turning the handle.
* You’re greeted with the usual sight of your father, but instead of his usual place on his favorite armchair, he’s seated on the sofa, his mouth stretched in a tense fine line.
* Across from him is a woman, if you had to describe her you’d say she resembled a peony. Everything about her felt like a blossoming flower, pink cheeks, perfectly well manicured pink fingernails. She has long brown hair the color of tree bark, and bright green eyes.
* She’s adorned in a white pantsuit, and stares at you with an amused smile twitching on her lips.
* “(Y/N), come sit by me very quickly.” Your fathers words are strained and tinged in urgency, the woman rolls her eyes.
* “Oh come now Zagreus, you think I would hurt my own grandchild?”
* “It’s never seemed to stop you before.” He grumbles.
* Your eyes flick from the woman to your father.
* The last puzzle piece fits into place.
* All this time you’ve been fixated on your mother, believing her to be of godly lineage.
* ‘But that’s Persephone, and if she’s my grandmother—‘
* ‘Then I’ve been looking at this wrong the whole time.’
* “It was just the one time Zagreus, and I already told you I don’t approve of Thanatos as a son in law, naturally I wouldn’t approve of their children either.”
* ‘Because that means my dad is Zagreus.’
* This entire time your godly parent has been right under your nose, a mere hallway across from you in your own home.
* “Well shit.”

More Than You Bargained For
pairing : Luke Castellan x child of Aphrodite!reader
summary — Camp-half blood often underestimates children of Aphrodite. Often reducing the children of love to the color of pink and the imagery of bows. They forgot your mother, the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility was also much more: a war goddess.
warnings : mentions of violence, slightly graphic??, mentions of smoking, MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH, angst + fluff, not plot accurate!! First half takes part pre TLT
aノn — WARNING I am NOT a writer. I have never written anything like this in my life and don't really plan to. I honestly might make this a series just for me? Idk i'll see. Point is beware of bad writing and run-on sentences

day 1, pegging
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
nathan drake x gn! reader warnings: nsfw 18+, improper pegging techniques, handjob, praise (m receiving), fingering, multiple checks for consent kinktober ☠︎︎ main masterlist ☠︎︎ read on ao3
Nathan Drake never knew when to shut his mouth. Whether he was fighting with some Shoreline goons or teasing you relentlessly, he was always running his mouth. It was no different when you had sex, limbs tangled together and unsure of where your body ended and his began. He would utter praises along your skin as he fucked you, and you soaked it up every single time.
Tonight was no different. Well… there was something new you were trying.
Nathan laid naked spread out below you, each piece of his clothes slowly stripped and thrown somewhere across the room.  His hands were tied above his head, and he looked up at you with the same blue eyes that drove you crazy.
You’d been preparing for this night for weeks, getting your knots just right. Nate was a tricky one, and you wanted to make sure he wouldn’t escape from what you had planned. Of course, he was all too happy to let you try out your knots on him when you practiced. He was always rewarded for his cooperation.
“You’re being so good for me, Nate,” you purred, tracing a finger down his bare chest, which heaved under your touch. “Did you get ready like I asked, baby boy?”
Nate looked up at you as you straddled him, seating yourself just below his pelvis. “Yes,” he replied, sucking in a breath as you splayed your hands across his ribs, “didn’t touch just like you asked.”
He watched you as you leaned down to finally touch him, and he bit back a moan in response. You stroked him slowly, teasingly. You swiped a thumb over the tip, gathering the precum that had begun to form and spread it to the rest of his length with your short, languid strokes. He bucked his hips, attempting to meet you halfway. Impatient as always.
You tsked as you pulled away, “Thought you were going to be good for me.”
You ghosted a hand over his inner thigh, and he shuddered. It wasn’t very often when you were in control like this, and you were seizing the opportunity to tease the ever-loving shit out of him.
“C’mon, baby,” he pleaded, struggling against his restraints. “Promise I’ll be good, just touch me, please.”
His pleas did little to quell the ache in your core, and you bit your lip. You granted him mercy, just this once, and returned your grip to his length. He turned his head to the side and moaned against his bicep, muttering your name under his breath.
You used your free hand to grab the bottle of lube you had set to the side, and you popped the top with your thumb. Nathan shudders as you drop a bead of lube onto his length and twist your fist around the tip.
“Jeez, baby,” Nathan half chuckled-half groaned as he arched his back off the mattress, desperate against your touch.
You pulled away and Nathan whined at the loss of contact. You slid off him so you were situated between his legs, which spread eagerly for you. You flipped the top to the lube once more, covering three of your fingers with the tacky, clear residue. You spread your fingers, watching as strings of wetness form. The scene was titillating, and Nathan’s cock jumped against his abdomen as he watched you.
You placed your free hand on the inside of his thigh before pushing a finger slowly inside of him. Nathan hissed and your movements halted.
“Alright, honey?”
He nodded quickly, his eyes pleading and lidded and he looked down at you. “Don’t stop, please, baby.”
You began to pump your fingers, slowly at first. He let out a shaky groan when you picked up the pace, his hips jutting to meet you halfway. “Doing so good for me, honey,” you praised, reaching up to slowly stroke his cock with your free hand.
You withdrew your fingers, and he whined underneath you. He was so needy tonight, and arousal was making your head fuzzy. But it wasn’t about you tonight. There’d be plenty of time for that later.
You stepped out from between his legs and hopped off the bed, eagerness flooding your veins. Your heart was beating so hard you could hear it in your ears as you searched under the bed. Seconds passed like hours as you felt around for a familiar black box, and relief pooled in your chest as you felt the smooth cardboard you’d been looking for.
Nervous fingers clumsily opened the box revealing what he’d been waiting for all day. The dildo was small and a muted blue with an upward curve to reach that sensitive spot inside him. Nate’s head perked up at the sound of buckles clinking as he watched you put on the harness.
You returned to your position between Nate’s legs and he watched you, curiosity flickering in his eyes as they traveled downward.
You grinned, “It matches your eyes.”
He let out a shaky breath, quickly covered by a scoff as he rolled his eyes.
You retrieved the bottle of lube and popped the top. You gripped the blue length in your hand and met his gaze as you dropped a bead of lube onto the tip, reminiscent of your earlier actions. You stroked yourself and rubbed a soothing hand over his thigh.
“Sure you want to do this?”
He was quick to nod in response, too busy watching your every move. You lined your tip up to his entrance, and his breath hitched. Your hands skated over any skin you could reach as you slowly rocked into him.
Nate’s expression was pinched in a mix of pain and ecstasy as you inched your way inside him. Your heart ached to provide some form of solace, but you couldn’t focus on anything but the way he was taking you so well.
You leaned down and pressed sloppy kisses against the side of his neck, attempting to distract him as you sank the last few inches into him.
He gasped, and you hesitated just for a moment. Your heart was pounding so loudly you could barely breathe, and panic began to set in. What if you hurt him?
“You okay?” you asked and you cringed as soon as the words left your mouth.
He slowly opened his eyes and nodded. “Baby, you’re inside me,” he huffed a laugh. You couldn’t help but join him. He was looking at you like you hung every star in the sky and the next thing you know your lips were on his.
The kiss was clumsy as you adjusted to your position over him. You pulled out of him before snapping your hips forward, your lips still on his. Strong legs wrapped around your waist and brought you closer, pulling you deeper inside him.
You rocked against him, each thrust pulling out further than the last. You spent every moment memorizing every sound and sight. Eventually, you reached that spot inside him that had him releasing the delicious sounds you craved. You focused on hitting that spot again, and again, and again until he was a moaning mess under you.
He arched against you. “Baby,” he pleaded, not even sure what he was asking for anymore.
“Tell me what you want, honey,” you murmured, desperate to give him whatever he desired.
“More.”
Who are you to deny your baby boy what he wants? You snapped your hips faster, finally settling into some sort of rhythm. You wrapped your hand around his weeping cock, and twisted your wrist in quick strokes.
The pace at which you were pounding into him was almost brutal, but he was so close you could almost taste it. With one final slam of your hips, he was falling apart at the seams. Nathan’s moan was practically pornographic as he painted the back of your hand and his stomach with the white strings of his release.
You slowed your pace as you both caught your breath. Your hands skirted across his now-flushed skin as he came down from his high.
“You did so good for me,” you whispered, a small smile playing on your lips.
Nathan laughed, and the sound made your heart soar. You made him feel good.
“You did all the work.”

“Pizza’s here.”  Eren mumbles, looking past the newspaper in his hands.  “I can’t quite tell if it’s pepperoni.”  He folds the paper and places it on the bench in which he is currently sitting on.  “I’ll go see for myself.”
Casually, Eren stands to do a small stretch and heads across the street to the museum.
“It’s a little chilly tonight, isn’t it?”
“Ah, no worries, Coconut head.  I wore extra layers.”  Eren grins at nobody in specific, patting his particularly hard abdomen, as he slips in an alleyway.
“Avatar Aang left you a snack.”
Eren knelt and dug through a garbage bag to see a Glock, groaning when he doesn’t see anything more.
“Where’s the hot sauce?”
“You are to ask some from the pizza guy.”
Eren scoffs, hopping on top of the garbage bins with ease after securing the Glock in his belt holster.  “I doubt he’ll give it so willingly.”
He easily lifts himself up to uncover the vents. The dusty, grimy, cramped vents.
“You should head straight, turn left, and then take another left, you’ll find the pizza guy and his customers soon enough.”
Eren groans, the small vent was not really made for a man with his build, not to mention the thick dust that could give him asthma any moment now.  “Alright, I want radio silence until then.”
“Have fun.”
There was a small static before Eren heard nothing but silence from the other side of the earpiece.
Eren heaves himself up, struggling to fit his wide shoulders.  He made the mistake of taking a deep breath after he got himself in, coughing the dust out as a result.  Slowly, he inched his way forward.
He was just about to turn on the first left when he heard the unmistakable sounds of gunshots.  Eren went still.  The agency sent nobody else but him.  It was a confidential mission that they did not even bother telling the police yet.
Who could be interfering?
The culprit was revealed sooner than Eren could have expected.
He had come face to face with your startled form. Mouth parted in a silent yelp just before it quirks up into a smile.
“Well, well, well.  If it isn’t my favorite superspy.”
“Kruger?”
Eren struggled to reach for the earpiece to shut it off just before stuffing it in his pocket.
“Shut the fuck up!  Are you trying to screw us up?”  Eren seethed before glaring at her.  “I’m gonna try to move backwards.  As it’s impossible to move otherwise.”
She stifles a laugh.  “M’kay, Jaeger.”
“Don’t call me that!”
“Oh, come on.  It’s just the two of us here.”  She rolls her eyes.  “Plus, I also got the package.  I can give some to you but you have to let me keep the pink pistol.”
The crawl back to the alleyway was rather agonizing.  Especially since they had to stay for a couple more minutes before jumping out of the museum vents and back to the alleyway.
“Can’t believe you messed up the mission.”  Eren spat while taking off his black leather jacket that was full of dust bunnies.
You giggle as you swing around the chrome briefcase.  “But I got the package and I can also give you the buyers’ names.”
Eren perks up at that and comes to a halt, waiting for you to start talking.  But you walk right pass him, chin held up, with a relaxed smile plastered on your velvet red lips.
“But first, you’ll have to wine and dine me.”
Eren could only watch you walk further and further away from him.
He eyes the case in your hand to the sway of your hips that was accentuated by the tight black dress that you chose to wore. His eyes continue to trail down to your calves that are clad in black tights, what an impractical outfit you’re wearing.  The click clacks of your black Louboutin halt and he shifts his eyes up just in times when you turn to look at him.  “You coming?”
After a split second of deliberation, Eren chases after you.
He offers to carry the case, an act done without malice but you only chose to narrow your eyes at him before saying ‘no’.
The diner was pleasant, the wine was also very smooth, the sex that came after, even better.
Eren throws his head back, rutting his hips against you.  The mascara runs down your cheeks, staining the pristine white pillow of the hotel room as your lips with smeared lipstick part to let out a whimper which can barely be heard over the squeaking of the bed.
His bruising grip on your hips tighten, feeling you flutter pleasantly when he thrusts a little too sharply, going balls deep. A thick ring of cream coating his shaft, the rest of it leaking on your thick thighs.  He leans to kiss your shoulder, his blushing tip kissing your cervix as his balls presses flush against your lips.  You squeeze your eyes shut when your feel its warmth and heaviness.
“Ren, want it.”  You turn to look at him and bat your eyelashes that clumped together after hours and hours of crying from pure ecstasy.
Eren licks the sharpness of his tooth, feeling his chest swell with pride.  “Of course, you do.  You little slut.”
You hit him gently when he jostles you up to put a pillow underneath your belly after you collapse in the mattress from exhaustion.  “Not a slut.” You slur.
He finds it funny how you can still say that after going dumb, creaming and gushing all over his dick.  Eren grips your jaw to kiss you deeply.  “How could I forget.  You’re my spoiled pillow princess.”
You clutch the cloud soft pillow under you when Eren uses his grip on your jaw to fuck deeper into you.  He swallows your moans and cries.  Reveling in it.
The uncontrollable twitching of your thighs tells Eren that your fifth orgasm for the night is close and he won’t let that go to waste.  He snaps his hips, sliding in and out of you faster, with a renewed drive.
You cum hard, your velvet walls gripping him like a vice, it sent Eren into overdrive, releasing copious amount of milky seed inside you, filling you to the brim and adding to the previous load he pumped earlier, making your mound squelch with his every thrust.
Eren whispers sweet nothings in your ear, telling you that you were so good for him, how you were such a good girl for him, that you did so well, when all you did was spread your legs and lie down for him to debauch, it sent your head floating high up, subconsciously gripping onto his arm that he wrapped around your midriff.
His nose skim on your moist cheeks, some of his hair came undone from his manbun and tickled your neck.  You bask in his warmth, getting high off the afterglow.
Needless to say, Eren could not come to regret indulging in such activities with you, not even when he had to face the cross-examination of Erwin, the deputy director, and the sharp comments of Levi.
“Get your head in the game, Agent Kruger.  You were lucky to have retrieved the biohazard samples, albeit losing a few rifles.”  Erwin tells him.
Levi clicks his tongue.  “Screw up the next mission and you’ll be sitting behind a desk for a year.”
Eren meets Levi’s eyes, weighing the risk, but Eren has never been one to run away.  “Yes, sir.”
“We received a tip involving suspicious activity in the south harbor but the threat is not that concerning as of the moment, as reported by Forster.”  Levi tells him and takes a sip from his tea.
Erwin nods.  “For now, Agent Kruger, you will be deployed to infiltrate the Fort Slava depository with your captain.”  Levi glances at Eren sharply.  “Your task is to retrieve a stolen necklace that long belonged to the Reiss family. You are to leave pronto.  The rest of the information will be given to you en route.”
After being dismissed, Eren made haste to the locker room to retrieve his special effects.  Two sets of footsteps quickly following him.
“That was stupid, what you did.”  Came the sharp tone of Mikasa, making Eren wince.
Armin looks at Mikasa, unsure if he should add to what she said, Eren had just been scolded by their superiors after all.
“I think what Mikasa is trying to say, is that.” He hesitates when the other two looks at him directly, an obvious absence of smile displayed in their faces. “We were anxious when you disappeared from the coms.”
Eren groans.  “I am aware.  I was told repeatedly.”
“Then why aren’t you looking more remorseful? We were worried.”  Mikasa takes a step closer to him, clearly mad but the trace of concern clearly evident in her eyes.  “I was worried.”
Eren sighs, fixing his hair into a manbun.  “I get it.  But you have to remember that my life does not revolve around you people. My decisions do not concern you.”
Armin found it almost comical how a fire could ignite so swiftly in Mikasa’s eyes, almost visibly evaporating the tiniest traces of tears.
“Just how selfish could you be, Eren?  You were in a mission, a mission which involves us by the way.  We have every right to be concerned.”  She spits, face now coming close to his, in anger.
Eren finishes stuffing his bag with his necessities and slammed his locker shut, brushing past the two.  “I appreciate your concern but tone it down a little, perhaps.  I’m a grown ass man, I don’t require supervision.”
Armin and Mikasa could only watch him slam the door at them.
The flight to Marley was as suffocating as it could be.  Eren could not get a rest from Levi’s chilling glares.  Even the instructions were delivered in a passive aggressive tone that had more bite than it should.  But he made a mistake, he had to face the consequences.
The decision of the agency to invest in cloaking devices worked in their favor.  Their plane entered the Marley territory without being chased by bogeys.
Eren glances below.  It was pitch black, but just ahead lies the Fort Slava depository. One of the most impregnable infrastructures in whole of Marley.
A strong gush of wind hits Eren in the face and he sees Levi about to jump, a parachute already in his back.  “Getting cold feet?”  And he jumps off.
Without wasting another second long, Eren grabs a parachute of his own and follows after Levi.
His stomach dropped but he recovers quickly by angling his body down to descend faster.
Bright red numbers on his watch indicating his distance from the ground prompted Eren to open his parachute.  He taps his glasses to see better, the sun has long retired for the day.  Levi was nowhere in sight.
“Over here, brat.”  Levi calls, making Eren look up.
They both land as quietly as they can, immediately fixing their chute to ensure that there is no trace of their presence in the area.
Building endurance has proven effective when they reach Fort Slava in no time after an entire five kilometer run.  Their infrared detecting devices were more useful than Eren thought.  He would have turned to ribbons had it not been for the glasses.
Levi was more agile, given his experience, yet Eren is conflicted about his plan to split up to look for the stolen necklace faster.  He could breathe a little easier away from his captain but he knew he will get a bit reckless when left alone, though he later concedes.  Levi chose to explore underground while Eren chose to sweep the floor above.
He was careful, moving just in time to stay out of the roaming guards’ field of vision.  Memorizing the blueprint where the cameras are, also came in handy to Eren.
The entire floor was illuminated in bright lights but one particular corridor was bathed in darkness.  Eren tapped his glasses but to his surprise, no sensors were in there.
A trap is what it is.
But a shiny black shoe poking in the corner told Eren that it might not be it.
He feels the cold metal of the Glock in his holster.  Stealthily, he entered the said corridor.  It would seem like nothing was out of the ordinary if Eren hadn’t been paying close attention, he would have missed the unmistakable silhouette of a woman that he knew too well.
“Are you stalking me, Jaeger?”
Eren drops the gun.  “Oh, for Heaven’s sake!”
You stand to your full height after being on your knees, trying to crack open a safe.
Eren walks over to you, fuming.  But you raise your chin to meet him with a haughty smirk, your nose brushing.
“The fuck are you doing here?”
You gesture behind you.
He glances at it.
“What’s in there.”
You shrug.  “I don’t know yet.  Must be pretty valuable if I had to disable a ton of alarms.”
Eren runs a hand through his hair, making his already messy hair, even messier.  “It couldn’t possibly be a necklace, right?”
Lifting an intricate looking pin, you raise a brow at him.  “Wouldn’t you like to find out.”
He nods at you, a nonverbal request for you to open it just before looking back to the entrance of the corridor to see if anyone had come.  Eren then watches you work, your exposed neck distracting him.
“When will you start dressing up more practically?” Eren grumbles.  “Wear a bulletproof vest at least.”
You chuckle.  “That would ruin my outfit, Jaeger.”  You put a finger on your lips to hush him and you press your ear against the safe.
Click
Eren cups your hands when you attempt to open it.
“What?”
He shakes his head and pushes you aside, gently. “We don’t know what would happen.” He tilts his head to the side. “Move.”
You shake your head after feeling a tingly warmth in your chest, touched with his concern.
Eren glances at you and then to the safe.  You watch his shoulder loosening up.
“Oh, thank goodness.”  He laughs.
“What?”  You raise both brows, confused.  You peek pass his shoulders and see a solid gold necklace littered with large blue diamonds.  “Dear me, is that the Reiss rivière?”
Eren hums.  “Is that what it’s called?”
He is one of the most highly regarded spies. A superspy, as what you like to call him.
You giggle, resting an arm on Eren’s shoulder to place a kiss on his temple.  “You’re precious, Jaeger.”
He swats you gently.  “I was just told that we’ll be retrieving a necklace owned by the Reiss family and they showed us what it looked like and to be frank, that’s all I needed to know.”
Purposely, he leaves out the fact that this could put an end to the cold war and begin a real one.  Paradis and Marley are just looking for excuses to start a war.
The necklace was stolen to provoke the Paradis monarchs to fire first but the intelligence unit decided it would be best to retrieve it with discretion rather than launch a violent assault, that would be playing directly into their hands.
You cup his cheeks to place a gentle kiss on his pouting lips before walking away from him with added sensuality in your walk. “I’ll still be in town tomorrow. Come see me if you’re free.”
Eren watches you open a window, swinging your heel clad feet in the air as you hook a device from your bracelet on the window ledge.  You send a flying kiss to him, making a thin hue of pink to spread on his cheeks, and you disappear.
A sharp blow behind Eren’s head brought him back to reality.
“Captain.”
“Was that the Vixen?”  Levi is glaring up at him.  “You better have a good explanation prepared, Kruger.”  He then hums while eyeing the necklace.  “Well done, finding it”
Eren didn’t really find it but he decides it’s best to shut his mouth for now.
He holds his breath, watching Levi disarm more pressured alarms.  Releasing a sigh of relief upon seeing Levi place the necklace on a case and replacing it with an imitation.
The chances of Marley finding out about the dupe is rather large.  However, they won’t make a fuss about it, not publicly at least.  Their dirty tricks would be blatantly discovered then.
Paradis just returned the favor.
“Let’s get outta here.”  Levi grumbles.
But before that, they need to get out of the country first.
Eren raises a finger, pressing his lips together. “We might want to take care of that guy over there before leaving.”  He points to a guard that you knocked down.
Levi glares at Eren before pulling out a syringe. “Surely a dose of concentrated mind-altering drug will do the job.”  Giving false memories is better than killing the man.  A corpse would surely alert them that an enemy has been there.
Placing an empty hip flask smeared with the man’s drool was a little overkill but they can never be too careful.
It was already midafternoon when they’re done reporting to Erwin.  Levi was strangely considerate, not mentioning the woman that was kissing their agent in the scene, but the amount of shade that he was throwing at Eren was enough consequence, making Eren want to shrink at every quip, cheeks already at a deep shade of red.
They’ll be leaving at midnight, he has enough time to explore the town for just a little bit, a reason he told his superior when asked where he is going.  Although, he is aware that Levi hardly believed him.
“I saved you a seat.”  You say sweetly after sipping on your cup of coffee, leaving a seductive red stain on the pristine cup.  Eren watched you move your Tom Ford coat from the back of the empty seat to place it on your lap.
He eyes you cautiously while sitting down, and you look at him from behind your sunglasses.
“Calm down, Jaeger.  I don’t bite.  Unless provoked.”  You add the last one with a dangerous smirk.  He grins at that.  You never fail to keep him on his toes.  “Why don’t you get yourself a cup of coffee?”  You ask, to which Eren does so, gladly.
A waiter comes and you smile at the way Eren says his order.
“What?”  He raises a brow, quite offended.
“The way you said the pastry.”  You hide your smile as you take a sip from your cup, being consistent in sipping in one area, limiting the mess.  “Clearly privileged.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”  He asks, more agitated.
“I don’t know.”  You place the cup down on the saucer with the softest clink. “It’s just so posh.”
He scoffs.  “As if you aren’t.”
You share a light banter over a cup of coffee and a couple of tea cakes.  Sharing hushed conversations about your recent escapades.  You giddily accept his offer to walk around town, gladly taking up any offer to spend time with him outside the bedroom or whenever you’re not at gunpoint.
It felt like something that was pulled right out of a romance novel.
Even the soft breeze and the warm glow of the setting sun.
He did not miss how your eyes lingered on the luxury jewelry in the display cases of a store you passed by and of course, Eren just had to bring you inside.
It will eternally be unfathomable to him how you could look like you eat men for breakfast but turn into a shy virgin just for him.
“You are being too generous!  I cannot take that.”  You blurt, face warm as you push the pearl earrings encrusted with pigeon blood rubies back to Eren.
Eren sighs, pushing the tiny box back to you. The jeweler’s eyes following the box comically.  After knowing the price, you can sympathize with her.  Just the tiniest bit.
“Please, take it.”
You shake your head ‘no’.  “Clearly, you are not in your right mind, spending so much money on me.”  Laughing softly, you push it back to him.
“I can assure you, I am.”  Eren says, a little too sternly.  To which, you start to consider as the warmth in your chest returns.  “You are worth every penny.”  Your eyes shyly meeting his, then watching the beautiful glint of the stones.
“Well.”   You smile. “If you insist.”
Eren straightens up, grinning at you.  “Now, that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
You hated how he can appear so devil may care yet so commanding.  It weakens you.
Biting your bottom lip, you try your hardest to contain your giddy smile.
The rest of the afternoon was spent with a much lighter atmosphere.  Full of contentment.  He did not know if it was just how you look with the added jewelry that he got for you or just the feeling of you in his arms.
Your kiss goodnight—not goodbye, never goodbye—was all too sweet.
He went back with an undeterrable smile on his lips.
Eren had to avoid the accusing glares of his captain.
Apparently, the said captain could not let it slip how somebody outside the team was in the scene.  A civilian involved, with no proper knowledge of confidentiality could be the catalyst of this decades long cold war between Paradis and Marley.  He gave a more discreet report to Erwin, in a form of paperwork so as to not intentionally demean Eren in the previous call.
For the next mission, Eren would be temporarily relived as a field agent.
He felt uneasy, seeing everybody in full gear, it was a large operation after all, and him just in his jeans and unbuttoned dress shirt, a half empty coffee cup in his hand, felt rather insignificant.
The liquid in his hand, its bitter taste reflecting how he is feeling at the moment.
“I could help the team.  They all know it.”  He spits.
Mikasa and Armin glances at each other, apprehension flooding from them.
“Chill out, Kruger.  We got this.”  It was Jean who slapped his back.  “We’ll come get you take-outs on the way back”
Sasha and Connie pause from checking and loading the magazines upon the mention of food.
Eren nods.  “If anything goes wrong.  Holler away.” He taps the earpiece in his right ear and the rest gives him a reassuring smile.
A frown permanently rests on his forehead as he watches them get in Humvees.  This operation does not require discretion.  The agency did not take any chances and dispatched as many active agents. They’ll be winning with quantity.
After another sip from his bitter coffee, Eren makes his way to the monitoring room to track the dispatched vehicles.
The operation is more of a raid to confiscate biohazard chemicals and unregistered firearms.  Nothing they can’t handle.
“Hey, Kruger.”
He looks up to see Floch.
In his full gear.
“Hey.”  Eren eyes him as the man sits beside him.  “Sorry, were you supposed to be part of the raid?”
“Nah.  I’m on suspension.”  Floch shakes his head, chuckling.
Eren nods slowly.  He deserved it.  Giving a shitty report like that.
“I just can’t help it you know.”  Floch says to him, smiling.  “They were doing research on a fluid that could be a potential bioweapon.”  He grins wider.  “No one would be able to stand in our way if they complete that research.”
The quiet buzzing of the monitors and the humming of the coffee maker near them fills the silence that was so thick it was suffocating.  Making Eren put on a bit more effort in breathing as his lungs seized up, his hands shaking just the slightest, itching to form a fist and land on something.
“And what a coincidence it was that you’re here.” Floch exclaims.  “I’ve been waiting to have the chance to talk to you, you know.  I feel like we see eye to eye on these things.”
Eren breaks into cold sweat.  “Indeed.”  But he forces a smile, sitting back, to appear nonthreatening.  Don’t provoke him.  Yet.  “And the team?”
Floch tilts his head to the side.  “We won’t be needing close minded people in our cause.”
In one swift movement, Eren slams Floch on the desk, calling the attention of the other agents in the area, quickly assisting Eren after getting a gist of what happened.
“You asshole!  I am doing this for Paradis!”
The red dots following the Humvees vanish.
It’s a trap.
“It’s a fucking trap!”  Eren curses under his breath and sprints out.
Gods, the team.  His friends.
He taps on his earpiece.
“Hey, Coconut head.  Come in, come in.”  Fuck! “Horseface, you there?”
His lungs were burning as he leapt over a bench in the lobby, squeezing out of the glass doors next.  He is not a field agent as of the moment, he has no access to any form of transportation.  He bumped into more people than he can count the second he got to the street but he could only run and run.
Loud screeching of breaks had his shoes scraping off the pavement in an attempt to stop just on time before getting hit by a car.
Not just any car.
A Bugatti Chiron.
Perfect.
The driver, dressed in a fine suit, with an expensive looking sunglass, curses at his face.  Only to clamp shut when Eren grins at him, the glint in his eyes hostile, telling the man that he is up to no good.
Eren pulls the car door open to get to the man’s face.  “Sorry sir, official government business.  You wouldn’t mind giving me a ride to the docks now, would you?”
A quick flash of the gun in Eren’s holster and the man was quick to nod his head.
Eren hopped on the passenger seat and the man speeds off.
He fishes out a device from his pockets and still, he can’t pick up the signal from the team.  He taps in his earpiece once more, just listening, waiting to pick up anything.
The man makes a sharp turn and Eren regrets not buckling himself in, his tendons almost popping as he gripped the edge of his seat.  In the distance, he heard the unmistakable sounds of gunshots, just as the breaks screech to a halt.
“I’m not driving in there.”  The man blurts, eyes wide, his face drained with color.
Poor guy.
Eren nods, patting the man’s shoulder and jumps out, resuming his sprint.
He hides behind a building, just enough for him to hear the gunshots and see movement, but not enough to really see the clear faces of anybody in there.
“-Ger!  Kruger!”
Mikasa!
She must have been just close enough for him to pick up the feed.
“Where are you?  I couldn’t get ahold any of you!”  Eren says through gritted teeth as he loads his gun.  “Are you safe?  What about the others?”
“I’m with Sasha right now.  We got separated with the others.”  She pants from the other side.  “Listen, I need you to lock in our coordinates and send a drone strike-”
Eren cuts her off with a sound of protest. “That’s too risky, it could get you.” But he knows Mikasa won’t do such rash decisions unless she knows what she’s doing.  “Where are you?  I’m in the docks right now.”
There was silence.
“You had one job!  To stay put.  How could you manage to put yourself in danger all the time?”
He grimaces.  “Mikasa, I’m safe where I am now.  You guys are the ones in danger.  But listen, I am sending the instructions to the base.”  He says while his fingers tap on his device in lightning speed.  “If we could just get the signal back in your devices, we could direct the drone’s target.”
“We saw a jammer just a floor above us.  We’re on the move.  If we could disable that, we’ll defi-”
A deafening boom resonates in the area, the shock blast reaching where Eren is.  Ruble and shards flying around, only missing him as he is situated behind a building wall.
There was a loud high-pitched screeching from the earpiece and Eren scrambles to the edge of the wall, looking at the other buildings, now lit on fire, a few of its walls missing.
What the fuck was that?
Almost in a trance, Eren stands there, in the open. A bullet could hit him and he won’t notice from how numb his body went.
That couldn’t have been their air strike, he did not confirm with the base yet.
Mikasa and Sasha.  The others.
His heart hammered in his chest, so loud it pounded in his ears, growing louder than the screeching earpiece.
In the corner of his eyes, a black piece of clothing ruffles in the wind before vanishing behind an alley.
Without another moment wasted, Eren was chasing the person, cocking his gun as he went.  The alley was thick with smog but he sees the black coat, the person still running, getting further and further away as they picked up the pace after hearing his footsteps.
Pieces of rubble get crushed under the thick soles of Eren’s boots.
In a desperate attempt to get the person to stop, he aims and pulls the trigger.
He heard the person yelp as the bullet grazed their arm, sending them tumbling to the ground.
Eren caught up, flipping the person around by pulling their collar.
His blood freezes.
You are staring up at him, your hair coming undone and cascading on your shoulders, your face smeared with dirt after your fall and blood that oozes from your nose.
There is no way.
Is there?
You have always been conveniently where he was.
The missions that got him off this operation.
Floch mentioned about wanting to talk to him.
As if wanting him out of the raid.
You try to pry his hand from your clothing but his grip tightened, his veins popping as he pulled you closer to him.
It scares you, seeing that expression on him. You try one more time to move away but he presses the muzzle of the gun on your temple.
“Jaeger-”
“You bitch!  You’ve been in on this from the start.”  He seethes.
A frown twitches on your brows.  “What are you talking about.  I was only here for the spoils.”  You fearfully glance at the gun.  “Get that gun away from me, Jaeger!  This isn’t funny!”
“Stop lying!”  He screams in your face, making you shut your mouth, drawing further from him. He only pulls you up, closer to him as he looms over you.  “You were using me, you lowlife whore!”
A tear slips in the corner of your cheek.
“So, this is who you are, huh?  A deceitful slut, making a living from stealing, opening her legs for whomever catches her, to get away?”  You squeeze your eyes when he jostles you, shoving the gun on your temple, you can almost feel a bruise forming in there.  “Fucking answer, me!”
A sob wracks your body and you let go of him, making you dangle, your torso suspended in the air, only held up with Eren’s tight grip.  All fight gone from your body.
“You’re hurting me.”  You whisper, your voice trembling.  “I’m not working for anyone.  I promise, I wasn’t deceiving you.”  You continue to sob.
His grip loosens.
“Please don’t kill me.”
Eren’s eyes widen.  He looks at the gun that he’s pressing hard on your delicate head. His hand shakes just before he throws the gun away as if it burnt him.  How could he have done that?  To you?
He gently lowers you to the ground, clutching his hair in frustration, in fear, for what he’s done.
His chest tightens when you flinch away as he tried to wipe your tears.
“Baby.  I’m sorry. I-I don’t know what came over me.” He apologizes over and over but it does nothing to stop your tears, if anything, he’s only making it worse.
You shake your head when he tries to cradle your face, grimacing when he tried to pepper your face with kisses, growing deaf from his apologies and reassurances that you are safe.
That he won’t harm you.
But Eren felt sick, saying that when he was just threatening you with a loaded gun moments ago.
His stomach churned when you frightfully screamed for him to let you go when he wrapped his arms around you.  He was afraid you’d slip from his fingers and disappear if he didn’t.  He shook his head ‘no’ to your demands of being let go as he buries his face on your shoulder.
“Please, please.  I’m sorry.”  He mutters.
You struggle against him, becoming more and more desperate until you reached for something on your boot and sunk it on his thigh.
Eren felt it burn.  His embrace loosening to see a silver stiletto knife sticking out his thigh.  But he can’t even be mad at you.
How could he?  When you just look so frightened.
Of him.
This time, he did not try to stop you when you push him off, clutching the arm that he grazed with a bullet earlier.  You take one final look at him and sprint away, disappearing in another alley corner.
Eren’s chest pangs in pain, even more so than the wound on his thigh.  That one, he can see and remedy.  The one on his chest, however.
He hears a static.
“Kruger.  It was a thermobaric bomb.  Sasha and I managed to get away before it was detonated.”
“It worked on our favor, miraculously.  It blew up the jammer.”
“Send the go signal to the base for the airstrike.”
Eren could only listen but his eyes remain from where you vanished.  He was half hoping you’d come back.  That whatever happened was just a false memory he conjured in his mind.  But he knows there is no taking back what he has done.
The medics are patching him up in the base, the stabbed wound in his thigh was not as deep as he initially thought.
“You’re lucky it missed any major vessels and nerves.”
“Yeah.”  He forced a laugh.  “Lucky me.”
Eren eyes his comrades that lie in infirmary beds, with varying injuries, some he had to rescue out of the burning buildings.
As deputy director, Erwin had to reinforce the rules, suspending Eren for six months for insubordination.  But he acknowledges Eren’s efforts and cut it down to three.
In his time off, Eren spent his time trying to dig information about you.
Vixen.
That was a name you chose not for yourself, but rather, an alias given to you by the agency.
Security cameras often catch you but you are slick enough to not let your face be seen.
The agency chose to let you be as you have done no real harm as of the moment.
Eren first encountered you in a mission in Marley, where he stole your car to chase off a target.  You weren’t happy.  You sent him a ‘thank you’ in a form of a laxative infused cocktail.  It ruined his night.
Second time, he joined you as a prisoner in Hizuru, for reasons he can’t quite remember.  You both escaped that night.  It was the first time he worked with you.
After that, you often help each other out in missions, that is if you’re not too busy teasing him, unintentionally getting in his way.
But he can’t bring himself to push you away. He craved your presence.
And now, after three months has passed, with not a single sighting of you, he has grown uneasy.
He missed you.  Terribly so.
Eren accepted missions upon missions, not to distract him from this gnawing feeling, but to hope that in one of them, he’ll see you again.
But he does not.
He even got Armin to look for you in security cameras.
Armin does so, albeit conflicted.  But seeing his friend so distraught, pacing around in his apartment, wearing out the carpet that he just bought recently, he cannot help but try.
Still, there is no trace of you.
Eren left Armin’s apartment just a quarter before ten in the evening.
The subway train was still surprisingly full.
He had to squeeze his way through.
The train jerked forward, prompting him to hold on to the grab handle.  He rests his head on his bent arm, keeping his feet as steady to the ground as much as he can.
Someone by his side shifts and Eren raises his head to see.
A fucking creep was trying to grab the skirt of the woman standing just in front of him.  A reaction embedded in his muscles made him reach out to grab the man by the wrist.
The woman turns and a blinding glint led Eren to sweep his gaze down from the most tedious office outfit comprised of a white dress shirt, black pencil skirt, and black tights, to the tall black stilettos and finally, back to the jewelry pierced on the woman’s ears.
Pearl earrings encrusted with pigeon blood rubies.
His eyes widen just as the woman turns to look at him, her eyes flashes in surprise for a moment before she turns away quickly.
The man yells when Eren fails to notice that he is still gripping the man’s wrist, his hold tightening until the joint popped.
“Serves you right for trying to grope that woman!” Says an elderly woman who sat just in front of them.
All eyes were on the man who turned bright red in embarrassment.
The intercom buzzes then came the announcement of the stop.
Half of the people flooded out the doors and Eren calls your name but you quickly disappear in the crowd.
Eren pushed and shoved, apologizing but he did not stop anyway.
The cold breeze bit his skin the moment he got out of the station.
His eyes scanned the area, squinting, struggling to see with the limited light provided by the lampposts.  Eren jogged around the alleys, peeking through the dark closed up shops, turning his head at every movement or shadow, startling a cat that was just hopping off a bench.
Eren was just about to turn on his heel when he sees you sitting on a bench in the far corner of the park, he would not have seen you had he not been trained to pay keen attention to every detail within his sight and periphery.
You were turned away from him, sitting relaxed, unlike him who had his shirt sticking on his back, drenched with sweat, his chest still heaving.
He halted in his steps.  What would he say to you?
Eren sunk on the bench nearest to him.  He wanted to go talk to you but he just can’t figure out what to say.  He felt like a creep, just watching you from a distance.
Even his shirt dried off from the amount of time he stalled.
What is he doing?  He’s not just gonna sit there the entire night now, is he?
You flinch upon hearing someone clear their throat behind you.  The bench creaks, telling you that someone sat next to you.  Still, you refuse to acknowledge them.
“How’ve you been?”
The deep somber voice, that you can recognize everywhere, had you closing your eyes tightly, cursing him for being so comfortable when you can’t even trust your own voice at the moment.
Clearly unaware of how he wipes his palms in his jeans.
“I didn’t see you for a while.  Could’ve used your help in my previous mission.” He chuckles.
You play with your watch, eyes following every tick and tock of the long hand.
Eren heaves a heavy sigh, you almost glance at him.
“I missed you.”
You bite the inside of your cheek.  Closing your eyes when he stands in front of you.
“Y/N.”
Your eyes slowly flutter open upon hearing him call out to you so fondly but still you refused to look at him.
“I’m begging you, talk to me.”  He pleads, voice wounded.
That caught your attention.
“What would it take for you to forgive me?”  he asks softly, reaching for your hand.
You turn to look at him, your eyes void of emotion. Lips sealed shut.
Eren feels defeated.
He tightens his hold on your hand, his thumb caressing, feeling your warmth, missing the feeling of having his skin pressed on yours.
You wait for him to say more, but he is quiet. Your brow twitches when he lowers himself until his pants gets soiled with the dirt, until his knees ache with the rough unevenness of the park grounds, until he is looking up at you.
“Come back to me.”
Eren guides your hand to his face, kissing your palms, feeling your steady pulse against his soft lips.  Reminding him of your presence, grounding him.
His warm breath ghosts on your palm, tickling you. His nose grazes your skin, following a delicate vein.
You blink the tears away when he comes to rest his head on your lap, still kneeling.
Pushing him away is not possible for you at the moment. It baffles you, the intimacy and the fact that a man of his stature is on his knees just for you.
He looks up when you cup his cheeks, giving him a soft smile.  You can’t bear to see such broken look in his eyes any longer.
“I might regret this tomorrow but.”  You place a gentle kiss on his lips.  “I forgive you.”
He rises to his feet, pulling you up to kiss you better.
He will see to it that you won’t.
You give an endearing protest when he runs his fingers on your neck, tickling you.  He smiles through it before pulling you closer by your nape.
None of you let go until you are completely out of breath.
Slowly, you pull away to meet his eyes.  The amount of emotion they hold makes your heart pound.
Eren pecks your lips and presses his forehead against yours.
“I think, I might have fallen in love with you.” He chuckles.
“Yes, I can see that.”  You smile as you play with his hair.  “I may or may not have fallen in love with you too.”

Untitled Percy Jackson Headcanon
Percy x ChildofApollo!reader
Genre: Fluff + Angst
Warnings: gn reader, slightly implied bi reader there’s one statement
Word Count: 16,950
You’d been at the camp a year longer than Percy, and as a result, you never really interacted with him
Honestly, you were a bit exhausted constantly hearing about him.
When Percy made it to camp he was all people could talk about, ‘this new kid battled a Minotaur and survived’ oh wow how special of him. We’ve all battled monsters to get here too, he wasn’t that special. Go on a quest and survive, then we can talk
(You refused to admit to anyone that it was kind of impressive he survived a Minotaur)
Needless to say, when he was revealed to be the son of Poseidon you doubled down on your opinion
Now, beating a Minotaur seemed less impressive. Whenever anyone brought it up you just said ‘He’s the son of one of the big three, of course, he was able to beat it’
Will would always tease you because for some reason he believed everything you said was a cover. He believed that in reality, you found him really impressive and more than a bit attractive. You’d always retort, saying he’s mistaking you for Annabeth
Percy, on the other hand, paid a lot of attention to you from the get-go. Not that he was arrogant or anything, but he found it a little strange that you were able to dismiss him so easily when he suddenly made the top of everyone's radar for any reason under the sun
As a result, he found out tiny little things about you. You would produce small orbs of light as decoration for the camp sing-along, or use the same orbs to light the broken bed light of one of your siblings.
He noticed you and Will were quite close, closer than you were with your other siblings, and you’d often help him out in the infirmary before he could even ask as if you’d pre-empted it
He found out you go on a lot of quests and bring back the newest CDs and records for you and your siblings to enjoy.
After some serious digging, he found out that before Asher got his loom, you’d be the only one who let him braid your hair to practice his foresight
He made sure to keep you in his memory
You spent most of your time training with others in the Apollo cabin, but fighting skills were the one thing you lacked
You’d spent most of your last year at camp neglecting swordsmanship in favour of archery. It paid off you were the top archer, and no one could beat you
Deciding it should be this year's training focus, you gathered the courage to ask Clarisse for help
Everyone thought you were insane, you thought you were insane
The first few months were gruelling, it was like being in the military. She would harshly punish you for small mistakes
But, as a result, you gained better swordsmanship skills as well as becoming friends with Clarisse which came as a surprise to a lot of people
Okay, friends might be a strong word, but she respected you more than anyone
However, it did lead you to be directly asked by Clarisse to go on the quest to retrieve the golden fleece. The official statement from Clarisse was because you were excellent at interpreting the Oracle’s prophecies, and having you give up-to-date interpretations as she went would be useful.
There were more obvious choices if that was the real reason she took you , but you decided against arguing
Needless to say, you're surprised to see Percy with his brother and Annabeth show up on the quest
You may have been surprised, but you weren't furious. You had to hold Clarisse back from ripping all their heads off.
Furthermore, you did your best to reason with her once you calmed her down. ‘Clarisse, please be a little more reasonable, they can help out with the ship. Yeah, it’s all well and good we’ve got an undead crew, but who’s to say we couldn't use a little more hands-on-deck.’
She agreed to let them stay and help with great reluctance
You could tell all three of them hated being at Clarisse’s beck and call, so you tried to help as much as possible
You stopped to stare out into the vast sea watching the setting sun when Percy leaned on the rails next to you also staring at the sea
You muttered a hi before awkwardly staring back at the sun, as the last beams of the sun ebb away you see the CSS Birmingham on the brink of collapse
Percy had managed to pick up on how you froze and came up next to you gently holding your waist, ‘is everything okay?’
You looked at him with a strained smile, ‘yeah I’m fine, sorry for worrying you. I thought I saw something, but it’s probably nothing’
Percy let go of your waist still sceptical, but he assumed it was best not to press besides you’ve been on more of these quests than he has, if you said there’s nothing to worry about then that’s that
As he walked away, presumably to Annabeth, you took a deep breath willing the heat in your cheeks to go away before following him from a respectable distance
When you arrived, everyone was in a panic running around trying to save the ship
Tyson is trying to fix the engine whose temperature is flying out of control and for a split second you freeze again seeing the same image you saw minutes ago in real-time
Before you have time to react, the ship blows, and you lose consciousness
Once you regain consciousness and find Tyson and Clarisse heal them both as best you can
Clarisse complained how none of her wounds were healed: ‘what kind of Apollo kid are you?’
Despite this Tyson still smiled brightly and thanked you
Healing was not your forte
The three of you make your way to Polyphemus' island to retrieve the fleece
The journey is spent defending Tyson from Clarisse’s constant insults and retorts until you lose a temper you didn’t know you even had, yelling, ‘Quite frankly, if Tyson hadn’t been there to try and fix the engine both us and the ship would be blown to smithereens. You always think you can do everything alone, but honestly, a little teamwork wouldn’t hurt you, Clarisse.”
Clarisse shocked didn’t say a word to either you or Tyson the rest of the way
After a trying ordeal, Percy Annabeth and Tyson sent you and Clarisse back to camp half-blood to complete your quest
You took the time to hammer home a lesson about teamwork and how it doesn’t cost much to be kind, much to Clarisse’s chagrin
You worry the whole time Percy isn’t back
You along with everyone else receive his message about Luke poisoning Thalia’s tree, and you feel the vail lift. It seems Luke was never anyone's friend
Despite the news of Luke, a party is still thrown after Thalia is healed and no longer a tree
You see Annabeth rush over to Thalia and you take your chance walking over to Percy
‘I never got the chance to thank you,’
‘For what?’ Percy stood a little perplexed
You release a small amused sigh, ‘for helping us. We wouldn’t have done it without you, so thank you, Percy.’
There’s a beat of silence and Percy speaks
‘So I’ve survived two quests now, are you impressed yet?’
Your eyes went wide, and you asked about how he knew what you’d been saying, to which he replied he’s been keeping a close eye on you.
‘That’s slightly creepy,’ you laugh, ‘but yes, you impressed me. You’ve far surpassed my expectations Percy Jackson’
The two of you smiled and carried on talking well into the night
The more you talked with him, the more you started to like him
You certainly underestimated how unique he was at least in terms of his personality, you found him charming
You couldn’t keep your eyes off him and were beyond sad to have to part with him
You sneaked back into the Apollo cabin hoping you wouldn’t wake anyone up, least of all Will
But lo and behold he was waiting for you with a wicked smirk ready to comment on the moment he’d witnessed through the window
‘Don’t say a thing.’ You passed him and went straight to bed and Will followed
When you were about to tuck yourself in and go to sleep, Will whispers in your ear ‘I knew you liked him’ with the biggest grin
The whole cabin was woken up by a particularly loud bang and an even louder yell
The next 6 months were split between your usual duties, training and Percy
You had no idea how you would approach him because you didn’t like him, you just wanted to get to know him better.
‘For the purposes of being friends’: a statement you had to repeat to Will often
Thankfully for you, Percy had already set out a plan to talk to you
Annabeth was sick of him ranting and regrettably made him a comprehensive ‘Guide to making friends with your crush’. He furiously denied he liked you in any such way
Step one: Ask you to train with him
You of course jumped at the opportunity to interact with him
The training was intertwined with flirty banter and frustration. You couldn’t beat Percy, or Percy couldn’t beat you.
It started out just sword training, and you also taught him how to use a bow. He wasn’t very good at it
One time you tried training with your powers trying to beat the other that way
The both of you went a little overboard: Percy drenched everyone in the training area, and you blinded a good portion by accident, but the two of you made a pretty rainbow, so was it really all bad?
You and Percy would hang out together a lot, but when you weren’t together you would always seek each other out
Percy noticed that you’d watch the sunrise by the lake nearly every morning
You noticed Percy would often take a swim in the lake at sunset
Anytime the whole camp was together you’d always somehow end up next to Percy and on the rare occasion you weren’t, there would be googly eyes lots of googly eyes
Everyone in your cabin picked up on it EVERYONE
Will was the worst offender, ‘I knew you liked him, all that talk about him not being the least bit impressive was just a cover-up. I knew it from the very start!’
You noticed how Percy would go out of his way to help his friends out and how he always did his best to lift them up
You saw he had a fun teasing friendship with Annabeth, very similar to your relationship with Will
The 6 months go by quickly and in no time you get sent on your next quest
You go with the gang to retrieve two more demigods, Nico and Bianca.
You rush over to Percy as soon as you and the others catch up with him
He was injured, and you stayed with him as everyone else fought off Dr Thorn
He just stares at you for a really long time, and you think the poison really must be getting to him
‘Your eyes are so bright’ he whispers, and you barely hear him, but shush him saying he needs to conserve his energy and that you need full concentration to stop the poison from spreading as fast at the very least
‘They’re so pretty,’ he continued and heat shot up to your face, ‘I never really noticed how pretty they are and when the sunlight hits them at the right angle they look like the sun’
You scolded him with your heart beating faster the more he talked
You erected a protective dome around the two of you when you saw silver arrows rushing through the air
You weren’t sure if the arrows were friendly until another barrage split the manticore’s thorns in half
You stared in awe until you heard Percy choke and realised you’d lost your concentration
While you shift your focus back to Percy, he sees Annabeth fall from the cliff, it crushes him to see someone so dear to him possibly fall to her doom.
Thalia introduces the hunters of Artemis as well as the goddess herself
She immediately recognizes you as her brother's child and scolds you for your lack of healing abilities
Despite her disappointment, she provides the medicine necessary to remove the poison from Percy
You have a small conversation with the hunters alongside Bianca
You had to admit you were more than impressed, there was so much you could learn from them, you were enchanted by their skill and Bianca seemed to be reacting in the same way
Soon Artemis emerged from her tent, Percy following, and announced the hunters were to stay in camp half-blood while she went to slay a beast that could defeat the Olympic gods
Behind her, you hear the voice you only ever imagined you would hear
The man had a bright, familiar aura around him that comforted you
Your eyes went wide as you realised who was standing in front of you
Your father was actually genuinely in front of you, you couldn’t speak, only continue staring stunned
No matter what he tried, you remind motionless cursing yourself that this was your father’s first impression of you
Still shocked, you managed a confused and shaky hello. Apollo just smiled. It wasn’t a condescending ‘you're really weird smile,’ it was a popper fatherly ‘it’s going to be ok’ smile.
He gave all of you the sun chariot so that you could get back to camp
You got on and waved Apollo goodbye as Thalia took the reins.
However, she forgot that it flies. Her extended freak-out led to you taking over mid-air as the poor girl curled herself up in a ball.
While getting ready for capture the flag, you sense Percy’s low mood
He confesses that he’s worried about Annabeth and Mr D refused to let him try to rescue her
You did your best to reassure him that Annabeth will survive, and he’ll see her safe and sound very soon
You walked Percy over to the armoury, still reassuring him
Both of you got your armour on, and you picked up your trusty bow, admiring its curves
Percy uncapped riptide inspecting it while subtly glancing in your direction, you were enchanted as well as enchanting
He watched you slowly run your fingers along the bow top to bottom, then you gently grasped it slowly and delicately stretching the sting and slipping yourself in between
You abruptly turned around to face Percy, and he hurriedly looked away from you, awkwardly clearing his throat
For the entire game of capture the flag, a tense face-off between the hunters and the rest of camp
Michael, fed up with Percy and Thalia’s bickering, split the Apollo cabin into three defensive fronts with the strongest archers being the last line of defence
As one of the camp’s best archers, you were stationed high up in the trees looking down ready to snipe, anyone, you needed to out
You knocked your arrow alongside your siblings, ready for the hunters to come through
You held your position, hyper focused on the ground you expected the hunters to walk through
Suddenly, your vision morphed, and you saw the image of Zoe holding up camp’s flag after taking out the distracted Thalia and Percy
You quickly told everyone to stay put and expect the unexpected and ran back to where Thalia and Percy were still bickering
“Stop it !” you yelled at the two of them, “Your bickering isn’t helping anyone, Michael already set up the Apollo cabin as a perimeter and the Ares kids are on the front lines as usual. Sort yourselves out!”
Percy gulped, eyes wide, but reluctantly allowed Thalia to take control
But it was far too late, the Ares cabin put up a good fight but the hunter’s wiped them out
You heard arrows whoosh through the air, you all stood in wait hoping most of the hunters would be knocked down by the arrows and various other cabins scattered about
No such luck, only a small portion were knocked out by the time they reached the third layer of defence
You waited to hear the distinct sound of piercing arrows, but you heard nothing and Zoe with a small but deadly number of hunters behind her hurtled into view
You knocked your arrow aiming straight for Zoe, she skilfully jumped out of the way continuing to run towards you
Thalia and Percy had occupied themselves with the other huntresses while you charged at Zoe
You took out a small dagger you’d strapped to your thigh and charged
Once close enough, you dropped to the ground, skid along it cutting her calf
Still skidding, you dropped your dagger, replacing it with your bow and knocked two arrows firing them simultaneously at Zoe
You hopped that was enough of a distraction for her to turn around and fight you, buying your team some time
She turned around, facing you directly, and picked up her bow
You saw the tip gleam as she released it, you shot to the side out of the way of the arrow that buried itself in the ground
She knocked the next arrow, releasing it in your direction
You let out a hiss as the arrow skimmed your shoulder, leaving a deep dash in its wake
You gritted your teeth and knocked two arrows, waiting for Zoe to fire
When she did, you ran up a tree, using it as a springboard to get you to higher ground
You let the two arrows loose midair both hit their target Zoe’s thigh and upper arm
You landed on the ground ready to fire more arrows, but it was too late
Zoe was proudly holding the flag in her hand, smiling triumphantly
You hadn’t noticed that with each arrow she fired, she was inching closer and closer to the flag
Your hits were futile as by the time they happened the flag was close enough to Zoe she could easily reach it
You felt a strange mix of admiration for Zoe and loathing for yourself, how could you let something like this happen?
A loud sound snapped you out of your thoughts; turning towards it you saw Thalia and Percy arguing once again
This time about whose fault it was they lost
You watched as they humiliated themselves further in front of the hunters of Artemis
Taking a deep breath, you walked over and got in between them once again
“For crying out loud,” you whispered. “If you want someone to blame, blame me. Zoe was right in front of me and I let her get away, now can you put this argument to bed? We look more pathetic than we did before.” You sighed exasperated
Percy barely registered your words, what really got him to stop was seeing the injury on your shoulder
He reached out gently, touching the side of the cut
His heart leapt into his throat when you winced, “that looks awful, are you gonna be ok?” He asked
“Course nothing I can’t heal,” you grinned, but Percy looked at you in disbelief. “Ok fine, I was just gonna ask Will to do it.”
Despite your reassurances all Percy could do was focus on that the wound as a result he walked you all the way to the infirmary and straight to Will, personally
He refused to leave until he heard Will say it’s not that serious
It all seemed to be a chain reaction because the whole ordeal ended in Will teasing you even more
“I see Mr. Jackson taking personal care of you, he must like you a lot”
You replied, “He does not like me. Not in the way you’re suggesting, at least,”
“But you like him in that way, don’t you?” Will knew the answer, he just wanted to make you say it
“Perhaps.” Will jumped up and down whilst yelling that he knew all along. “Could you be any louder?” you yelled at your brother, “There’s definitely something there, but I’m still trying to figure it out.”
Will nodded and said he would respect your thought process, but he wouldn’t refrain from teasing you about it from time to time
“I always thought you’d end up with a woman,” he remarked.
You laughed and replied, “me too.”
The conversation ended and Will focused on healing the wound
As he  bandaged it, Zoe walked in demanding to see you
When she got to your cot, she talked about how she just got a prophecy from the Oracle to rescue Annabeth and that you impressed her so much she wants you to join her on the quest. “I would be honoured to fight alongside you.”
You nodded furiously, it was an offer you couldn’t refuse
Zoe smiled and informed you they would be leaving at first light tomorrow
You walked back to your cabin and stepped inside only to find Percy bouncing his leg up and down sat on your bed
You greeted him and asked if everything was ok
He told you about how it’s unfair that he doesn’t get to go, how of course the reason he wants to go is to help save Annabeth
“Percy, I would love to sneak you into my bag, but I don’t think there’s enough space”
You did your best to try reasoning with him. You told him how his worry for Annabeth might make him act without care for his own life, “and I care about you too much to let you rush into danger without thinking.”
You finished by promising him that you will bring Annabeth back safe
He still didn’t like being left out and argued he would be fine, but as soon as you looked at him incredulously he stopped talking
“I care about you too, so you better come back and it better be without any wounds.” He said, pointing to the bandage
“No fatal wounds,” you replied, and he nodded his head
You hugged him tightly and walked him out of the cabin door, smiling
At the crack of dawn, you picked up your bag and rushed out the door
You had to weave through your siblings, but you made it on time
Zoe informed you Thalia and Bianca (I’m sorry I had to replace Grover) you would have to go without Phoebe
When everyone set off to leave, Zoe stayed behind with you, offering you to join the hunters
You thought back to the conversation with your Will and told her you need time to think, so for now you have to decline
At the Smithsonian, you saw Percy run towards the group, and you mimicked everyone’s expression
Out of breath, he told everyone what he’d overheard. Everything seemed to confirm dreams he had about Annabeth replacing Atlas and how Luke’s skeletons were now targeting him
Zoe’s face was red and her brows furrowed
Before she could yell at him, you stepped in between the two
You calmed her down by making her look at the silver lining of the situation, Percy gained some valuable information even if he did it without consulting anyone
Before she could argue back, you all heard a loud roar
The battle with the Nemean Lion was arduous as nothing could pierce it’s fur
You and Percy shared a look as Percy came with an idea, having no clue what he was planning you nocked an arrow in your bow and held it ready
Percy fed the lion astronaut food and in its disgust it held its mouth open for you to shoot an arrow into its mouth, finally feeling the beast
You gave Percy the lion’s pelt. He of course argued that you should have it
“Nah, it’s not really my colour,” the both of you laughed at your statement. “Seriously though, take it. You figured out how to beat it, it’s yours.”
In return, Percy thanked you for covering for him, “I didn’t really say it then, but thank you for saving me from Clarisse’s wrath and now again from Zoe’s.”
Zoe joined you and Percy. She questioned how Percy managed to find them despite her covering their tracks
Without thinking, Percy said she must have done a terrible job because the group left a massive bread crumb trail for him to follow
You looked down at the floor, heaved a sigh and Percy stopped talking, realising why it was so easy for him to follow the group
You defended yourself, saying you thought Percy might be the fifth member of the quest. It bugged you how the Oracle’s prophecy would be so inaccurate
Zoe accepted your judgement, saying she should have expected an Apollo kid to be able to interpret the prophecy so easily. “There’s still room to join us, you know. Of course, you would have to leave your boyfriend.”
Your heart rate picked up and your jaw dropped. You quickly shook yourself from the shock, “Nope! He’s not my boyfriend!”
“Even better, the offer still stands.”
Percy looked at you in shock. He couldn’t quite believe you were actually considering leaving him.
For a split second, he imagined what it would be like to date you. He snapped himself out of it remembering that you two weren’t dating even if he in his imagination the idea was nice
When you finally lost the skeleton men tailing Percy, you shared a fire with a homeless man
No one took much notice of him, but there was something familiar in his eyes
They seemed to look at you with love, but also scrutiny to some extent. Despite his drab clothing, his skin seemed to glow
You stared at the man for a good while before Percy dragged you away
You were peacefully sat on the train next to Zoe when Percy came over with the same homeless man from earlier
The man soon revealed himself to be your father
You smiled, remarking you knew there was something familiar about him to which Apollo replied “Nothing can escape you can it. You’ve grown up very smart, y/n.”
You stood in shock while Percy covered for you in the form of distracting him with the directions to where they need to go
With enthusiasm, he leads all of you there
On the way, he pulls you aside and tells you Pan should be somewhere close to where you’re headed and to call on him whenever you needed his help
He gave you a small wooden flute to call him when needed
“How do you know? I thought he was Hermes kid” you questioned your father
“Oh, we never found out who his father is. We both keep tabs on him just in case,” he smiled
Before he left, he told you to heed the prophecy because it is absolute, and can’t be changed. “Trying to will only lead to more sadness.”
It doesn’t take long for the skeleton warriors following Percy to find your group again
They fired bullets at Percy, which you snipe out of the air, freeing Percy to strike one down
You go to high five him, but before you can it reforms
You all do a double take but continue fighting
Bianca seemed to be the only one who could defeat them, but there’s only one of her and too many of them
You think back to the flute and ask Percy to cover you while you play it. The Erymanthian Boar defeated the skeletons and took you all  right in the middle of the Junkyard of the God’s
You were surprised to see Ares and Aphrodite there, until you remembered who you were talking about and who mostly uses the Junkyard
Suddenly you were very uncomfortable
Aphrodite looks between you and Percy “my my, looks like I don’t need to add any spice to your love life. I almost feel sorry for you. It’s going to be a long, uncertain ride for the both of you before you reach the end. You feel something for both the Athena girl and the child of Apollo over there, don’t you?” She teases, pointing over to you talking to Ares. “However, you like one a lot more than the other, it’s going to take you a painfully long time to figure it out.”
Percy frowns, his heart beating fast, he asks, “which one do I like more? Who do I end up with?”
“I can’t tell you that otherwise it won’t come true,” she teases again giving his nose a small boop
Percy started at you red-faced as you rejoined the group
You asked him if he was ok, and he rubbed the back of his head and gave you a sheepish grin
Your heart skipped several beats and your palms were sweaty
It was an image you never wanted to forget
Aphrodite gently rested her head on your shoulder and seductively whispered in your ear, “I can’t tell you how this ends if you want.”
You gulped, tempted but shook your head
Aphrodite picked her head up from your shoulder and walked around to face you, running her hand along your arm
She looked you up and down, “Do you know what? I respect that.”
You looked around the junkyard as a form of distraction from the intense stare you were receiving from Aphrodite
A glimmer grabbed your attention, you walked closer and took out an electric guitar shaped like your Father’s lyre
You took it thinking of Michael, who would absolutely love it
Zoe then called out, reminding you that it’s in a junkyard, so it’s most likely broken beyond repair
You put it back with a sigh
In the same breath, Bianca takes an action figure that then awakens a defective Talos
At that moment, your vision morphs, and you see Bianca go inside the Talos’ foot defeating it
While everyone was trying to stop it in its tracks, you try to figure out what this means
As soon as you figure it out, Bianca is climbing into the giant’s foot, you yell out, but it’s too late she drives the Talos into electrical wires disabling it but also sacrificing herself in the process
You whisper with tears in your eyes, “The second part of the prophecy has been fulfilled.”
After convincing a group of naiads to take you to the Hoover Dam, Percy starters reciting facts and jokes about it with Thalia joining in while you and Zoe started in awe as they explained it’s one of Annabeth’s favourites
They must be really close, you thought. It was sweet, but  your heart sank slightly knowing you’ll never have that close of a relationship
You shook the thoughts out of your head and focused on the quest
All the time Percy was separated from the group you were worried, it’s exactly what you were worried about in the first place
Percy joins back at the worst possible moment, you were prepared to chew him out about running off on his own when you realised you were stuck on the Hoover Dam
Instead, you took to giving him as massive hug, asking him not to run off a second time
Meanwhile, Thalia was praying to her father in the corner, who then sent a metal angel to rescue the group and carry you off to San Francisco
Another problem comes in the form of Dr. Thorn manipulating Thalia into using Ophiotaurus' power
You and Zoe tried everything to stop her, but in the end it was Percy who was able to stop her and also take care of Ophiotaurus, sending him far away. He did, however, have to sacrifice the lion’s pelt to his father in order to do it
The next nail in the coffin of your possible relationship with Percy came in the form of him meeting Annabeth’s parents
They got along so well that Dr. Chase, which you had to admit was incredibly impressive, gave the group his car.
All Percy was doing was being himself, there was no way her parents were going to let a golden boy like that go
Zoe then came up behind you and whispered, “the offer is always open.” You gave her an exasperated look, and she smiled slyly and moved on
Much to your dismay, the misery continued. Before you coil say anything, Thalia called the driver's seat and Zoe called the passenger seat next to her, leaving you with Percy in the back
You looked out of the window, trying to avoid any sort of conversation with Percy as you processed your feelings
It was like the universe was sending you every sign that you shouldn’t even think about anything more than a friendship with Percy, but your heart was pulling you elsewhere
You turned around to face him with a sigh
Without missing a single beat, Percy asked you if you were ok
You brushed it off saying you were just tired but with your answer ensued another awkward silence
One, only Percy seemed brave enough to break. “What was Zoe whispering to you earlier?”
“Asking me to join the hunters, again,” you told Percy exasperated
“Are you going to?” he asked in a gentle, almost hesitant tone. He was preparing himself for the worst
“I still don’t know. I know I have every reason to join, and it really seems like the universe is telling me to, but my heart wants to stay.”
Percy was somewhat relieved to hear your response. It gave him time to try to change your mind
“If you want my opinion. I think you should stay. You’d be leaving so many people behind. So many people that care about you. I think they would be upset to see you leave,” Percy paused, “I know I would.”
You looked at each other. His eyes were pleading as he gave you a tight lipped smile. It was like a movement of understanding had passed through the two, for you. You finally made your decision. Percy’s word were all it took
Before you could reply, however, a lightning bolt struck the car.
Thalia of course blew up in a fit of rage at her godly father
You tried to argue that it might have been an accident, but Thalia was adamant it was her father
The rest of the climb had to be done on foot
When you got to the top of the hill, you were met with the formidable sight of Ladon
You try to get past him, but he notices you and his protective instincts kick in he starts attacking all of you as you try to defend yourselves
You fire your bow several times at the dragon, but it does virtually nothing in the grand scheme of things
In the end it clawed your back, leaving bleeding gashes behind, and it managed to poison Zoe
At that point, you called everyone over to you and erected a protective dome of light
The dragon got closer and reached one of it’s heads towards the dome, but soon after it was lying on the ground passed out
You didn’t waste any time and ran to a safer place away from the dragon
When in safety, before continuing, you had to take care of the wound on your back
Percy watched you as you rub your hand together, he asks what you're doing and all you reply with is “generating heat”
Soon he sees you placing your glowing hands behind your back directly above your wound
He then heard a painful scream escape your mouth, and he realised you were cauterising your own wound
You fell forward and Percy caught you in his arms, you weakly smiled up at him and asked him how he was coping
Percy was truly impressed, after all the pain you’d been through your first instinct was to ask how he was
He replied, “I’m the one who should be asking you that.”
“I'll be fine, it’s nothing I haven’t done before. Although, the wound is a lot bigger than I’m used to.  Could you pass me some ambrosia?” you asked, your voice shaking slightly
He passed it to you, still holding you in his arms and helping you drink it
You took your last gulp and started to get up out of Percy’s arms. He protested and told you to rest some more
You shook your head and made your way over to Zoe, told her that you wouldn’t be able to heal her completely, but you could slow down the poison
She nodded her head, and you used your healing abilities to slow the poison
You suddenly have a vision of you and Percy holding up the sky as a battle rages around you
You hurriedly ask Percy to repeat what happened in his dreams, then you ask Zoe to repeat the prophecy
With your vision as the linking puzzle piece, everything was falling into place
Percy smiled, your contracting face was insanely cute
You finally stood with a triumphant grin that Percy returned, making you feel even more confident
You looked Percy in the eye when you told him they all need to take Atlas’ place just temporarily, you trailed off and your face dropped
You turned to Zoe with a sombre expression and said “it’s been an honour fighting alongside you, and it will be until  your dying breath,”
Zoe smiled widely, “does that mean you accept?”
You shook your head, now Zoe’s face dropped. Tears pricked your eyes as you choked out, “the last line of the prophecy.”
She took a deep breath, let go of your hand and nodded understanding what was to come
“I understand, the prophecy is absolute. If I am to die but the hands of my father, so be it. Let's go.”
You made your way to the palace, you and Percy looked at each other and ran to take Artemis’ place who was now free to fight
You looked forward to finding Mount Othrys slowly rebuilding itself, spelling possible doom for Mount Olympus
Your heart broke when you heard Zoe’s scream, assuming the final part of the prophecy was fulfilled
Suddenly, you were blown backwards and end up with Percy on top of you
You let out a shaky breath, your heart picked up its pace yet again, and you asked what happened
Percy explained that Artemis had pushed Atlas back under the sky
“You were right about the prophecy. You’re amazing.” He grinned at you and your heart melted
“Thanks, but I think you can get off me now.” You told him
Percy scrambled to get off you, awkwardly clearing his throat
You watch as Thalia battles Luke, pushing him into a chasm and Percy runs over to free Annabeth from the bindings
Artemis gives Zoe a place among the stars and then turns to you
She asked you what your ultimate decision in terms of joining the hunters was
You told her what you told Zoe
She sighed, “a shame. Despite this, you have earned this.” She handed you a moonstone necklace
“Use this to call on the hunters in a time of need. However, it is only for a single use. Chose wisely,” Artemis remarked before she left
Percy provides transport to mount Olympus, and you can’t help but smile the whole time at the sensation of riding a Pegasus
The meeting of the Gods was tense from the start as they were debating the great prophecy trying to figure out who the child was
Thalia then pledges herself to the hunters to everyone’s surprise, effectively eliminating her as the child of the prophecy
That left only Percy, Ares, and Athena both suggest the Gods kill him preventing the prophecy from happening
Artemis spoke up on his behalf, stating that Percy is a hero and if they kill him they are no better than the Titans
It’s put to a vote and Artemis’ words convince many of the Gods to spare Percy
Apollo then invites the group to a party among the Gods, who were you to refuse
At some point, you're persuaded to perform for everyone
You get up on stage and give the performance of your life before returning to camp
Percy goes to Nico to tell him about Bianca’s death and Nico blames him completely
You take a deep breath, step up and put the blame on yourself
“I saw what was going to happen in a vision, but I chose to do nothing. I knew the prophecy was absolute.”
Nico enraged threw the figurine at you splitting the earth in half before walking away
You and Percy both look at each other wide eyed
His father is Hades, you thought
“A child of the eldest Gods,” you whispered to Percy
The break from camp was one of the best
You and Will travelled to visit each other’s parents, so you spent the whole time with each other
Your mothers got along spectacularly well and took a shine to each of you
You returned to camp a few days earlier than Percy and in the meantime started teaching some new Apollo kids archery
Percy walked through camp after his unfortunate accident with Mrs O’Leary as well as the meeting with the council and Grover
He sees you and several other Apollo kids performing “Stacey’s Mom”
You sang the chorus as some Apollo kids clapped while others accompanied you with various instruments
You must have amassed quite the crowd, as the whole camp seemed to applaud when you finished
You spotted Percy on the outskirts of the crowd and ran straight towards him, wrapping him up in a massive hug
You had a short catch-up where Percy told you about meeting Rachel and his fight with two Empousai before running off to tidy his cabin for inspection
You let a small sigh out, going to check if your cabin was clean
During the games next morning, you see Percy and Annabeth disappear between the rocks
You tell Will and Clarisse overhears, telling you that was the entrance to the Labyrinth and how Chiron believes Luke might use it as a springboard for invasion
Once the games finish, you go back to your cabin worried about what that might mean
All of a sudden you hear a faint knocking on the door to your cabin, no one else seems to notice, so you go towards the door and open it
Annabeth is standing in the doorway and asks you to go on a quest into the labyrinth with her
Shocked, you ask her why, and she explains Clarisse had personally recommended you
She wanted you to come with her on her quest, but you’d already been snatched up by Zoe. “Clarisse’s words not mine,” she clarifies
When you, Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson enter the labyrinth, you’re all confused. The walls keep shifting, and it seems like there’s no clear way forward
You end up leading the group through it, mostly guessing and hoping for just a bit of divine intervention
Sadly, you get your wish
You end up in a small Roman-Style room with the minor god Janus, who offers you a key
Annabeth takes it after scolding you, “this is where guessing leads you.”
However, he keeps a hold of Annabeth forcing her to make a choice
Fortunately, Hera appears. You all look mildly shocked, and she just looks at you and says, “you wanted divine intervention, so here I am. What do you wish for?”
You blurted out the first thing that came to your mind, “it would be great to have some sort of map.”
She looked at you incredulously and scoffed, “I can’t give you something you already have,” and disappeared
You left the room and found yourself in America's most notorious prison
Inside you find an hundred handed one being held captive by Kampê
You managed to free him, although Tyson did most of the work
Despite his sympathy for your plight he still refused to join, and you had no choice but to leave him behind
After Percy’s deal with Geryon goes awry, he tells the group how he managed to pierce all three of his hearts and defeat him with a single arrow
While everyone applauded him, you knew something wasn’t quite right
Unless Percy was doing some side training with someone else, he was not skilled enough to shoot like that
You brushed it off, saying he must have improved a lot since the last time you trained
Eurytion makes good on his deal and frees everyone
While everyone was getting ready, you overheard Percy trying to convince Nico not to resurrect his sister
You walk over, filled with terror and a little anger, “I hope you're not thinking of bringing back the dead?”
He glared at you, hell fire raging in his eyes
You tell Nico the price you pay for bringing someone back from the dead isn’t worth it
He yelled back and the fire grew hotter
“And why should I listen to you? If you actually did something, I wouldn’t be doing this, would I? It’s not like you would know what it’s like, you’ve got your annoying brother!”
You held back the tears in your eyes as he ripped his gaze away from you
Summoning his sister's ghost ready to resurrect her
When she comes into view, his eyes soften and begin reflecting your own
She greets him cheerfully but as soon as he mentions bringing her back she shakes her head, “You have to move on Nico, I’m the one who let Percy know of your plan. I was hoping he’d be able to stop you”
Nico’s lips were parted and a look of disbelief crossed his face, “if Y/N had done something you wouldn’t be dead, that’s why I’m bringing you back!”
You winced at his words, but Bianca gave you a sympathetic look and continued, “you can’t blame Y/N for that. The prophecy was absolute, there was nothing that could be done.” Before he tried arguing back, she told him of their fatal flaw as Hades’ kids: holding grudges
He said his last goodbyes and though significantly less angry, he still refused to come with you
It was good of Eurytion to allow him to stay for a short period of time
He gives you a further favour in the form of a spider automaton that leads you all to Hephestus’ forge
You all swiftly get back on the road
You held back your tears as best as you could, but the dam burst
You sobbed silently behind the rest of the group
Percy heard a faint sniff and came up behind you, asking why you were crying
Your younger brother died when getting to camp half-blood, and you thought it would be like Orpheus, you get to the underworld and all you have to do is walk about with him without looking. But it was far from that, Hades price was soul for a soul and seeing as you didn’t know that, the soul he demanded was yours. You were prepared to give your life for him, your brother's spirit didn’t agree, he defied Hades in protecting you and was obliterated, no Asphodel Fields, no Elysian, not even Tartarus. You barely got out alive, and you’ve got the scars to prove it.
Percy envelops you in a massive hug, and you cry a little but pick yourself up relatively quickly
Annabeth joins, and it gets a little awkward, she doesn’t really know how to approach the subject
In the end, she admits that she heard the whole conversation, and she’s really sorry you had to go through that
Still sniffling slightly, you thank her
Percy’s heart sings, you were becoming friends with his friends, and it’s all he could ask for
Grover looks back and says he senses Pan, so Tyson goes with him, leaving you with Percy and Annabeth
You carefully stepped into Hephestus’ forge
Your jaw dropped when you saw Telekhines slaving away clanging metal and building something
Annabeth puts her finger to her lips, and you follow her lead around the forge
When you look behind you, Percy was far down the corridor you made eye contact with him
Eyes wide, you jerked your head towards Annabeth
He shook his head, pointing at something
You glanced at Annabeth, then walked over to him. He pointed at a large metallic head being placed on a large metallic torso
“You don’t think-?” you whispered. Percy just shrugged his shoulders
You carried on watching, they were adding legs to it when one of them saw you
You grabbed Percy’s sleeve to run away, but by that point the creature got reinforcements and started running after you
Annabeth looked back at the now ensuing chaos and was furious, but ran to help nonetheless
Percy and Annabeth were slashing left and right with their swords as you fired your arrows
Percy then yelled for the two of you to leave and warn Hephaestus
You tried to call Annabeth away, be she wouldn’t go
Instead, she got closer to Percy and placed her lips on his
You stared, heart slowly breaking
You saw Annabeth kissing Percy
They were hiding behind a rock when Annabeth grabbed him by the collar and brought him up to her lips
Percy’s eyes went wide in shock before settling down and closing, he seemed to enjoy the whole experience
Your heart broke
There was no way Percy liked you back, not now that he knows he’s got Annabeth
The more you through about it, the more it was obvious your subtle attempts at letting Percy know you liked him were probably just annoying to him
The last thing you hear before fleeing with Annabeth was the sound of rushing water
The journey back is done in silence with the occasional sniff from Annabeth
Every time you sigh and try to comfort her
Once out of the Labyrinth she starts sobbing, she slumps against one of the entrance rocks
“Annabeth-“ you sigh
“No!” she says abruptly, “I don’t want to hear anything from you. You caused this. You got caught and now Percy is dead!”
“You don’t know that,” you breathe out.
“Yes I do!” she continues to yell, “I bet you knew it was going to happen and did nothing, just like with Bianca! Why didn’t you do anything?”
You took a deep breath trying to control your ire, “I didn’t, actually. That’s not how it works. I can’t just summon the future, and he’s not dead.”
Annabeth stared at you with a mixture of disbelief and fury
“Prophecies might seem random and vague, but they always make sense,” now confusion was added to her mix of emotions.
You racked your brain for a good metaphor, “it’s like a poem. It might take you on a little detour, a separate journey within the poem sometimes, but it’s to throw you off to confuse you. Prophecies are, by and large, in chronological order. Losing a loved one was last on the list.” You carried on going through the parts of the prophecy that were and were not fulfilled
She looks you up and down her face contorted in disgust as she scoffs, “absurd” and storms off
You stayed in your cabin processing everything
The first couple of days were tense but fine, you were sure Percy was going to come back any day now
The subsequent ones were substantially harder
You spent a lot of your time writing really sad poetry, listening to really sad music, playing really sad music etcetera
You avoided Annabeth like the plague, and you weren’t obvious about it
The only people you saw were your cabin mates, mostly Will, and Clarisse because you knew she wouldn’t ask why you were upset
You spent a large amount of time in the infirmary with Will, helping him out
You got more practice in properly bandaging wounds as well as strengthening his hymns at times
As the days went on you started to doubt yourself and the guilt had set in
Soon, all your siblings knew why you were upset and what happened between Percy and Annabeth
When you finally left your self-imposed isolation, it was for Percy’s funeral
During the whole service, Annabeth was glaring at you
You stood next to Will with your head down, refusing to look at anyone
He rubbed your back and pulled you into a side hug
As his shroud burned, he emerged in front of everyone
Your first instinct was to run towards him and wrap him in a hug, but you stopped yourself as soon as Annabeth ran up to him
Will just continued to hug you as you watched the exchange with a heavy heart
Annabeth made a huge scene, and you rolled your eyes
As you set off back to the cabin, Percy called your name, and you turned around
You took a very deep breath in before talking to him, trying to make everything seem normal
When you faced him, Percy noticed you were still frowning and asked you if you were ok
You brushed it off as just being worried about him, but he didn’t quite buy that
Something else was happening inside that head of yours that you refused to tell him about
He also found it weird that you hadn’t given him a bone crushing hug yet, instead you had your arms wrapped around you, your hands clutching at your arms as if you were holding yourself back
Thus, he took the initiative and almost threw himself on to you, hiding his face in your neck
You stumbled backwards and as you hugged him back he whispered “I missed you”
He untangled himself from you and told you he got a hint from Hephestus, and he knew how to navigate the labyrinth
Percy then asked you to come along and find Rachel
You tried to convince him that you were better off staying, but he insisted
He said if Annabeth was the problem, he could make her apologise
You looked at him confused, worried that he’d figured out it was about her kissing him. He clarified it’s because she yelled at you
“Right, yes because Annabeth yelled at me”
Before you could protest, he took you by the hand and walked off with you
You looked back at Will, and he looked back with a sympathetic expression
When you finally got Rachel you were a little relived, at least you wouldn’t be the only person third wheeling the Annabeth and Percy love show
She leads you effortlessly through the labyrinth, with Annabeth right next to her
Percy was glued to your side, it was almost like the Gods had made him stick to you to run salt in the wound
Percy on the other hand refused to leave you alone until he saw a marked improvement in your mood
He was alive, so you could stop worrying, he even got Annabeth to apologize which was like picking blood from a stone, but you still seemed miserable and because he couldn’t figure out the reason he settled on trying to cheer you up
He cracked jokes which you gave a small smile, he persevered the whole journey
In the end he settled on just being near you, he hopped it would comfort you as much as it comforts him
As you walked along the path, you felt something brush against your hand, you glanced down and noticed every so often Percy’s hand would brush against yours almost like it was seeking you out
Despite the events of the past couple days you decided to keep this moment for yourself, a small spark of hope in the dim darkness that maybe, just maybe Percy did like you
Before long, the four of you were captured by Luke’s forces and Percy was forced to fight one of his brothers
The fight against Ethan is short, Percy beats him easily but refuses to kill him, infuriating Antaeus
With trickery and wit he manages to defeat him and you all escape after he calls Mrs O’Leary
Ethan, however, disappears as soon as you're far away from the arena, you express a sense of foreboding to the group
You quickly reach Daedalus’ workshop and camp’s new swordsman trainer was in fact Daedalus, the downside bing he refused to join camp as he had already made his bed with Luke
As the empousa that disguised itself as Nico’s helpful ghost appears, Daedalus orders you all to flee, but luckily Rachel is able o get everyone back into the labyrinth
When you do, Percy finds a tunnel, but when he tells you to wait you shake your head and say you’re going with him
“There’s no way I’m letting you go in there alone”
You walk down the tunnel and arrive at a golden sarcophagus containing Kronos in Luke’s body
You think back to the prophecy almost immediately, and when Ethan pledges his allegiance to Kronos you're certain you're nearing the end of your journey
Rachel storms in just in the nick of time when Kronos spots you she throws a hairbrush at him and for a moment it seemed like Luke was himself again
This small distraction allowed Nico to summon a wall of black stone, giving everyone time to escape
After Annabeth and Percy’s argument, you finally set off to find Grover and Tyson
During the whole journey, Percy was next to you once again, and he got super close like hugging close
He’d initiate touch more often, either his hand would brush against yours or he’d gently guide you by the waist in front of him
He’d joke around and be more flirty, and it made your heart hammer, but your brain confused, maybe he was just doing all this as your friend ?
Something didn’t feel quite right about that, but it had to be, there’s no way he liked you, him and Annabeth kissed they're basically a thing now right ? Right
You finally got to the Carsbald Caverns, where you saw Tyson watching over an unconscious Grover
When Grover wakes, you enter the final resting place of Pan. He convinces a reluctant Grover to pass on that he has passed away
He dissolves, leaving a piece of him with everyone, and you make your way back to camp
When you get back, camp is deep in preparations for Kronos’ army, you rush to your cabin mates asking Michael what he needed you to do
You took the camp’s best archers with you and stationed them on important vantage points around camp as per orders
You perched yourself on the highest point, watching over a large portion of camp
Your focus was sharp as you shot any monster in your field of vision
But it seemed like every monster you shot down 10 appeared in its place
You were exhausted, and you didn’t notice one climbing up towards you
It started clawing at your leg tipping you off balance, you only just managed to hold onto a ledge and safely bring yourself to the ground
In the rush to get down, you lost your bow and had no choice but to use your sword
You prayed to the gods that your training was enough
You stood in front of the creature with the hit of your sword squarely in the middle of your body waiting for it to strike
You managed to block the first couple blows but as it started attacking faster you found yourself only blocking some
The creature struck your left shoulder then going for your leg which you managed to block it tried again and managed to scrape you
The fight carried on with blood dripping down your leg and arm, but you were ale to cut the beast’s head off, felling it for good
You readied yourself for another attack but found there was none
You limped your way towards the crowd of people consisting of your fellow campers, you were so close but your leg gave out at the last minute, and you toppled to the ground
Percy ran up to you and helped you up, getting you to the infirmary where you were bandaged up ready for dinner
Soon you found out Grover had used Pan’s gift to him and driven the creatures away as well as about Daedalus’ sacrifice
At dinner Will made doubly sure you were ok and that you hadn’t tried cauterising your wounds again; you reassured him that you did no such thing, certainly not after his hissy fit
The rest of the table laughed, for now camp was at peace
Once you gave your offerings, Chiron came up behind you and in a gentle voice asked you to go up to the attic
You nodded and headed straight up weaving thought the various furniture and cobwebs, trying not to get caught or stumble
Suddenly, you heard a voice boom through the silence:
“You will return to the seat of a brother's power, whose prized weapon a thief did dishonour, the man was burned by his misdeeds, the weapon has been lost to the trees, the bow of light shall find its owner, else once again it shall destroy its holder,”
You left that attic thinking about the Oracle’s vague words before reporting back to Chiron
Your quest had been issued
On your way back to your cabin, Nico came up beside you
You stopped walking expecting the worst but what he said surprised you
“I’m sorry I was a brat. I know Bianca’s death wasn’t your fault and I overreacted. She was my sister, and she died, I didn’t know what to do, I’m sorry.”
You smiled and thanked him for the apology, “if anyone understands, it me.”
Your parting for the summer was bitter-sweet, you weren’t going home this summer not properly
You had a week to spend with your mum, but then you were given a quest that if you succeeded at might turn the tide and help beat Luke
When you and Percy said goodbye, he left you with a small ring with a sun engraved into it and a chaste kiss on the forehead
Will saw everything and teased you about your reaction, and you retort with ‘shut up Will, I saw your reaction when Nico touched your hand’ and the subject quickly ceased to be discussed
You and your mum had a really close bond, so spending the week with her was so refreshing
Sadly because of that she also knew you like the back of her hand and forced you to tell her all about Percy but you also dobbed Will in about Nico. She kept that in the memory banks to tease him with when he came to visit
You cooked food for her every evening for the week when she came home from work, and you’d made sure to clean up the house a little while also enjoying some TV
You told your mum about the quest you were sent on but not so much as to put her in danger
She of course was super worried, but she always would be
On the last night she bid you goodbye, and you set off into the night hoping to find Apollo’s bow (now watch me make up a bunch of fake mythology just for a fanfiction)
Legend has it Apollo’s childhood bow was stolen from him but when the thief tried using it Apollo felt it and used the bow to burn his skin. The thief dropped it somewhere in the wilderness, and Apollo was never able to recover it. He placed a curse on it, only allowing one chosen child of Apollo to use it.
Camp found out about it because there had been reports that one of Luke’s lackies had tried using it and, just as the thief's, his skin burned.
Your job was to do nothing but retrieve it for safekeeping at camp
You stayed in the modern city of Delphi, researching more about the ancient seat of your godly father’s power
You discovered that the bow was stolen from your father’s temple right from under the Oracle of Delphi’s nose
The only thing you had left to do was to think like the thief
You got onto the site with a group of tourists and ‘got lost’ in the temple of Apollo. From there you ran in the first direction you could think of, and you ended up in a dense forest just behind the amphitheatre
You thought you’d felt a strange tingle and believed that maybe because you were an Apollo kid you might be able to sense it
You stood in the middle of a forest with your eyes closed looking like an idiot while nothing happened for a good 5 minutes before you gave up
You kept searching the forest until you noticed the light seemed to change as if it was purposefully trying to guide someone away from something
You traced the beams of light back to their source, stepping into a clearing with a gleaming golden bow situated on the ground
Immediately as you picked it up you felt its weight, you could barely lift it and would need some serious strength training to use it
You felt a strong push to use it, as if it was telling you to shoot an arrow from it
You stared at it and without thinking lifted it up in front of you, grasping the string
You quickly shook yourself of the haze as you remembered the consequences of using it when not chosen by Apollo
Divine wrath induced blisters weren’t exactly something that can be healed
You walked out of the cleaning, thinking about how you were going to transport the bow back to camp
You looked down and realised it had transformed itself into a long, rounded gold necklace charm (think Amenedeil’s necklace from Lucifer) that you added to the chain already around your neck
After sending an Iris message back to camp you sat down reading more about the bow and it’s properties
You wanted to find out why Luke wanted it so badly
Looking through old texts, you concluded that being able to shoot arrows from miles away still wasn’t its most impressive power. The bow was capable of shooting flaming arrows as well as its standard ones
You could easily imagine how an exploding arrow could completely turn the tide
The bow could also heal whoever uses it at extremely fast speeds but if you weren’t strong enough to use it you would explode
it’s last significant powers were that of teleportation and shapeshifting, which you assumed it did automatically as it shifted into the charm that is now on your necklace
When you got back to camp, the bow shifted its appearance once more into its true form with a golden flash of light
You and the rest of the Apollo cabin were given responsibility for the bow’s safety
Everyone agreed it should stay as the charm on your necklace to prevent anyone from being tempted to use it and be subsequently turned into ashes
So many of your siblings wanted to try to shoot it; you had to scare them off with warnings that ranged from your hand will rip off as soon as you try to lift it, to, if you try to use it you will explode
From the day you got back, you had strange dreams about using the bow
In one of your most vivid dreams, you stood in the clearing where you found the bow. You gently lifted it off the ground, admiring it’s fit in your hand. You lift it with ease, positioning yourself at a 90-degree angle to where you wanted to shoot. Retrieving a golden arrow from the quiver, you took a deep breath in and released it when you breathed out, only to have the arrow disappear into the sky with no way of knowing where it landed
You went straight to Asher with the dreams, seeing if he might be able to decipher them, but he dismissed the dreams as you probably wanting to use it really badly
You didn’t want to argue
You woke up, after another dream of using the bow's several abilities, you noticed a small golden envelope on your night stand.
You broke the seal and began reading: it was a poem about you and the bow, encouraging you to try it from the only person whose poems could be this bad. Apollo.
You went into the forest, to a similar clearing you found the bow in, and prayed to your father, hoping he would answer. Truthfully you didn’t expect him to, that letter could have easily been a prank by the Stoll brothers
To your surprise, he actually appeared, saying that he’s already broken one rule by contacting one of his children he might as well break another
He explained how, over years of being lost, the bow had developed a consciousness of its own in a way. He no longer picked who used it, the bow picked for itself
Despite your concerns about not being able to match the strength needed to actually utilise the bow, he encouraged you to use it with a ‘if you were not able to wield it the bow would not have chosen you.’ He placed a hand on your shoulder, ‘I think it has finally found a worthy owner.’’
He told you that once you mastered the bow, a bond would be formed, and you would command the bow much like he did in days past
You parted ways with your father and headed back to camp
Percy noticed you heading out of the woods, and any thoughts about fulfilling a prophecy rushed out of his head
He ran towards you, enveloping you in a tight hug that you wanted to reject until you realised it was Percy
After the hug ended, he scolded you for not answering any of his iris messages. You explained to him that you were on a quest to retrieve Apollo’s bow and that you were encouraged to use it, but Apollo himself
‘Well, Perce, you’re just in time to watch me do something incredibly stupid.’
‘Since when was I ‘Perce’, ‘Oh, sorry Percy. I wasn’t thinking.’ ‘No! No, I like it.’
Percy strongly disagreed with your plan, but understood you could never have any surety if you didn’t try
You tried lightening the situation with a joke and Percy didn’t appreciate the idea of you being blown to bits that the joke suggested
You stood in the same clearing you met your father in with Percy
As you lifted the bow into the air, it felt a lot lighter than the first time you touched it.
The bow seemed to effortlessly mould into your hand as you gently gripped the handle
You noticed a quiver of celestial bronze arrows appeared on your back.
You nocked the arrow and as you pulled the string back the arrow turned to light
Percy noticed that in your hands not just the arrow, but the bow, seemed to be made of light. The bright string gently kissed your lips and nose
You took a deep breath in, summoning the courage and strength to actually wield the legendary bow and aiming for the sky
You let out a slow breath; you let the fingers gripping the bowstring to relax and free, the arrow which leapt into the sky
You stood frozen to the spot, watching the arrow travel further waiting for and explosion or burning to rack your body, but you were fine
Percy’s heart leapt just as far as the arrow when he saw you were unharmed
He ran up to you once more, gripping your waist and spinning you around in a circle
Before you had time to process what was happening, Percy placed you on the ground and pressed a quick kiss to your lips
Your lips tasted of mango lip balm, and he wanted more, but he knew he couldn’t
You just stared at him dazed, Percy kissed you. PERCY KISSED YOU
Alarm bells were going off: what did it all mean? Did he like you as well? No, that would be ridiculous
‘Sorry, I um…’ Percy stammered. ‘I got swept up in the moment,’
‘Of course, makes sense it was a very emotionally charged life, or death situation makes sense.’ your heart dropped hearing his words, but you didn’t have time to focus on them, Chiron needed to be notified. The chosen Apollo kid was in camp half-blood!
You and Percy ran up to the big house and told Chiron and Mr. D, they were both elated (well Mr. D let out more of an approved grunt than anything else)
You took both of them out to the archery grounds and shifted the charm back into a bow. The quiver appeared like magic behind your back once again.
Nocking the arrow and pulling the string back, you closed your eyes imagining an arrow of fire flying towards the target and setting it on fire
Everyone gathered around you as they saw the arrow turn to fire
You released the string, and it hit bullseye, setting the whole target on fire
You let loose a second arrow, this one exploding the target before it could be burnt up completely
There was one more thing you wanted to try that would probably freak everyone out, but you were on fire and too curious not to try it
You popped your head through the gap between the bowstring and the belly with the upper limb over your left shoulder
You look out a small dagger and cut your palm
Everyone gasped, Percy was about to run to you to yell at you for what you were doing before he realised that the cut was healing by itself
The bow transformed back into a charm on your necklace and everyone applauded and lifted you up above them
You beamed while crowd-surfing, relieved and more than proud in your abilities
You don’t even have time to properly catch up with Percy as you're swept off to the war council and Percy and Annabeth go to the Oracle
When they come back having heard the prophecy the war council is in shambles and Clarisse storms out yelling about the Ares cabin refusing to fight
You had no idea anything could discourage and Ares kid from fighting
Annabeth recited the prophecy, everyone was in agreement that it was about Percy, but something didn’t seem quite right to you
You kept quiet, not knowing what was so off
Later you saw Percy walking to the training grounds, and you caught up with him, asking him what happened
He gave you the rundown of the situation with Annabeth and Grover, and he just wanted to sit with Mrs O’Leary and forget about everything
The two of you started searching for her when you spotted her scampering away into the forest
You both ran into the forest after her, finding Nico and the council of elders discussing grover with Juniper defending him
Afterwards, Nico has a conversation with you and Percy about gaining the same advantage as Luke in battle he seemed very pushy about it towards Percy and very reluctant to have you come with them
This made you more determined to tag along
In the end, Percy relented, and you all travelled to Luke’s mum’s house
The entire trip was weird
Upon entering Ms Castellan’s house, she greeted both Nico and Percy as Luke, assuming you’re Luke’s partner
She talks openly about everything to do with Luke’s life. How he ran away to protect his mother and how he needed his mum’s blessing to become a host for Kronos
When you tried to leave, she seemed possessed before returning to normal
You dismissed the occurrence but couldn’t ignore the fact the goddess of the home stood outside the house
She provides lunch and gives a slightly ominous statement. No matter what side she takes you can not forget her, she is the goddess of the home
Then she takes you to Percy’s mum and his stepdad Paul has a small freak-out finally believing Sally about the supernatural
Sally keeps giving Percy a look that you can’t quite place after you introduce yourself
Sally then takes him into another room,  looking at you very sweetly in contrast to Percy who was trying his best not to make eye contact with you
When everyone was out of earshot, Percy’s mum started relentlessly teasing him about his crush
‘They’re very pretty, aren’t they? And a child of Apollo, well it certainly makes sense they quite literally glow. My Percy you have chosen well!’
You on the other hand had a small conversation with Paul, finding out he worked at the school Percy went to
The two of you had a lovely conversation about Shakespeare that mainly focused on his sonnets, but occasionally you’d discuss one or two plays
You were in the middle of a conversation about how Iago is presented in Othello and how much of a genius villain he really is when Percy and his mum walked back in
Paul joked that you might need to give Percy some English lessons
With introductions over and jokes out the window, Sally reluctantly gives Percy her blessing to bathe in the River Styx
This time you were the one to take Nico and Percy to Central Park, testing out another one of the bows powers
There Percy felt Grover, who altered them to the death of Pan as well as Morpheus’ appearance worrying you all
Grover opens the passage to the underworld, and you trek down to the river
While on the   Nico changes the course from the river to Hades place betraying Percy who fights Nico when he finds out, but the furies disarm him and take everyone to Hades throne room
Hades reveals the truth about Nico’s past, and you just look at him resentful, ‘I hope it was worth it, Nico. I hope you’re happy’
Truthfully, Hades didn’t know what to do with you, he hadn’t planned for an extra person in the deal with his son
He recognized you instantly, the only other child of Apollo that dared venture into his realm and twice at that
For your tenacity, he rewarded you by giving you a head start before he sent the furies to rip you apart
You immediately ran for where you assumed the river Styx must be from myths and the limited time you spent in the underworld
It was the most logical choice given that if Percy had escaped, that’s probably where he’d be heading
You grasped your father's bow, sending a tirade of fire arrows raining down on the furies, enough to confuse them and slow them down
You made it to the river with only a minimal amount of scrapes that had easily healed themselves
You saw Percy with another figure by the bank of the river, and you drew another arrow ready to shoot the traitor
Percy was quick to stop you, explaining Nico had no idea of his father’s plan and helped bust Percy out of jail
You and Nico waited anxiously on the banks of the river for Percy to resurface, surely it can’t take this long
‘Look, I’m sorry, that’s why I didn’t want you to come. I didn’t want you to get involved. I know for a fact Percy would have maimed me if something had happened to you.’
You were still angry at him but accepted that his words were coming from the heart. You sighed and replied, ‘look, I get it, but chasing the past will only end in more hurt. Besides, as his kid, you should know that his deals are always naff.’
Nico just looks at you confused, and you told him the story of your brother and suddenly your previous warning made sense
While in the river Percy had two voices pulling him in two different directions, yours and Annabeth’s
Only one however would lead him out of the river
He reached towards your voice and suddenly he was back in camp
He was swimming in the lake with you looking down on him from the bank
He started to swim away but you held him by the hem of his shirt smiling
“Come on Percy, you can’t stay in there forever”
You pulled him out keeping your hand on the small of his back
He was overwhelmingly happy with your presence next to him
Still holding the small of his back you leaned in
Percy suddenly rises from the water with a gasp, you help him out, all while insisting on how he managed to anchor himself and if he’s truly alright
He ignores your main question, opting to answer with ‘I promise I’m fine,’ blushing profusely
Despite being attacked by Hades and his worker bees, with Percy’s new strength, he rips through them with ease.
Percy tells Nico to try and convince his father to fight for the right side, and you leave the underworld with him
You listen as Percy explains his plan to save Olympus, just smiling at him.
You bite your lip and say, ‘you know we still have a traitor in our midst, right?’, ‘yeah but I’m working on a plan for that’, you look at him almost breathless, the boy doesn’t cease to amaze you
‘What’s that look for?’ the look you give him leaves him breathless. It’s like you're admiring him, but not as a leader or a friend, but something else entirely
‘Nothing,’ you bite the inside of your cheek to quell your smile as much as you can, ‘let's get to the Empire State.’
The atmosphere is tense, especially as Percy almost collapses after Hestia shows him a vision of Luke
Hermes brings a message from Athena warning to keep an eye on the rivers. However, he also brings with him admonishment towards Annabeth for not preventing Luke from hosting Kronos
Percy is about to give Hermes a piece of his mind, but you stop him, stepping forward instead, ‘Quite frankly sir, your son is not Annabeth’s responsibility and furthermore Annabeth is in no way in charge of other people’s actions. Your son’s stupid decisions are not on her!’ you took a deep breath before continuing, ‘But neither are they on you. Luke, for better or for worse, has made his choice. All we can hope now is that it’s not too late to turn him to the side of good and if that fails stop him from destroying the world.’
Everyone including Hermes was speechless
Hermes gulped, nodded his head and left
It was Percy’s turn to stare at you with awe. You argued with a god and won, not just that but the god that created your father's beloved lute
There isn’t a single thing Percy didn’t love about you
Now it was your turn to blush
The tender moment is interrupted by Michael yelling your name and informing everyone that Manhattan has been put to sleep. The invasion has begun
Percy splits everyone off in all directions like the true leader he is
He looks at you ready to send you off to your cabin mates, but you interrupt, ‘Don’t even try it, I’m staying with you,’ He knew better than to argue with you, plus it made him feel a lot more confident
In the end, you Percy and Annabeth go and help your fellow Apollo campers and manage to get Kronos to retreat, giving the campers time to regroup
You saw Michael Yew still on the bridge when Percy collapsed it and got your cabin mates to search for him
You settle in for the night but find it really hard to sleep despite the fact you provided small night lights for yourself and all the other Apollo kids
You thought you’d talk to Percy, but he was asleep, not peacefully, but you figured some sleep is better than none
You walked to the makeshift infirmary where Will was changing a campers bandages while they were asleep
‘Can’t sleep?’ he asked. ‘Clearly,’ you replied. After a couple beats of silence, you spoke again, ‘you should get some rest. I’ll take over for a bit.’
He looked at you incredulously, ‘What? You are literally the worst healer we have.’ You choked, ‘yeah, but I can change bandages!’
‘Can you?’ Will asked and you both burst out laughing. He handed you a gauze and told you to place it over the wound before he helped you wrap the bandages round the camper's leg.
‘Yeah look at that shoddy work, definitely not leaving you here unsupervised,’ you chuckled at his remark. ‘Besides, the chosen one needs more rest than the medic.’
You gave him a gentle shove, laughing slightly.
‘So,’ he pipes up again. ‘You and Percy, any developments?’
You smiled gently, looking at the ground. Lately things have been pretty good, but you still can’t get the thought that he likes Annabeth more than you. I mean who wouldn’t, she's smart; she’s got beautiful princess curls she actually knows what she's doing fighting with a sword. Plus, she’s a hell of a lot more helpful in this mess of a war. You kinda feel like you're just tagging along, more of an onlooker than an active part.
‘I think the lack of sleep is getting to you Y/N’ Will laughs, and you laugh with him. He never fails to reassure you and make you feel better.
The world might be falling apart, but at least you’ve still got Will. Not to mention all your friends and your other brothers and sisters.
When Thalia woke Percy up to speak to Prometheus, he had a small panic because he couldn’t see you sound asleep in the cot next to his, but before he was able to worriedly search for you Thalia drags him to the meeting
Even though you're not next to him, he feels you encouraging him, telling him not to give up.
He walks back with Pandora’s box, telling himself over and over that they’re not giving up. Your voice in the back of his mind telling him there’s always hope
When he sees you sound asleep in your cot, he can finally relax a little and falls asleep again
When Percy wakes up, he simply grabs you by the wrist and takes you to Central Park with a few other demigods
You and the other demigods fight Hyperion’s monsters, while Percy battles the titan on his own
You take out the monsters with ease. You might not have Percy’s strength, but your bow had served you well
Its healing properties essentially keep you from being injured, the only thing you had to deal with was the pain that accompanied your wounds. Sadly, it would often stay a little longer than the wound itself.
You quickly got to higher ground and flipped off a statue spinning in the air as you released three arrows at the same time, all exploding on impact, finishing off the rest of Hyperion’s monsters.
You got Grover and the rest on standby as you went over to help Percy#
He got behind Hyperion and fired an exploding arrow, making him turn around.
‘Come on! How have you not crushed us yet? We’re bugs compared to you, and somehow we're still better. You’re Hyperion! Is that the best you can do?’
You taught him long enough for Percy to create a hurricane, dousing his fiery aura to allow Grover and the others to seal him inside a maple tree.
Sadly, there’s not much time to celebrate as the Caledonian Sow starts wreaking havoc.
Sadly, you make the unfortunate mistake of the flying pig, it attacks you first
Thankfully you're saved by Percy on blackjack and while he’s trying to escape the Sow as you’re shooting it down
In the end, Percy calls some automatons to destroy it, and they finish off the Sow.
You both fly back to the empire state and to your dismay see that the campers have been significantly pushed back by Kronos’ forces
Just in the nick of the Party, Ponies save the day.
Percy comes with you to see will and try and heal some more of the wounded
Will mutters about not needing two terrible healers, but you ignore him telling Percy to give nectar to the wounded as she cleans their wounds ready to be expertly dressed by Will and the other healers.
Percy does as he’s told, all the while looking at you as cleaned everyone’s wounds
He thought about all that you did today, it was amazing to see you in your element. There was no doubt you were one of camp’s strongest
‘What’s that look for?’ you teased him, repeating his own words
Percy just laughed and replied, ‘nothing, just looking at you’
You started to giggle and he giggled along with you
‘There’s something  we need to talk about’ you said
‘Oh no, that serious tone is never good.’ you gave him a withering smile
You went for a ripping off the plaster approach, “I don’t think the prophecy is about you. Not fully at least. I don’t think it would be that much of a stretch to assume the battle is for Luke’s soul?”
Percy on the inside was relieved that it might not be about him, but he still can’t take the possibility off the table
However, something still nagged at him. He replied, “that makes no sense.”
You told him about the vision after you woke up. You saw Percy hand Luke a knife and he looked like he was debating what to to with it
“Maybe the decision is whether or not he sacrifices himself. Think about it, he's the only one who knows where his weak spot is and if he dies our big bad goes with him.”
Percy sighs, he wants to believe you but he can’t, “that still leaves the elderly gods part. He just doesn’t fit the bill.”
Your whole body tensed, “I’m not saying I’m correct but just consider it please.”
Percy replied without thinking, “I can’t! It’s such a big stretch and I can’t take that risk. Honestly, you’ve been so spot on before, it’s a wonder you're not now.”
You started at Percy. Anger was crossing through your veins. You sighed sharply running your young along your teeth, “leave, just go. We can finish this later.i think we both need to cool down. Maybe next time you won’t be so rude.”
Later, Percy rushes back to the hotel everyone used as base and ran straight towards you, embracing you in a hug
You were surprised considering yesterday, but you allowed him to carry on
With unadulterated joy, he said that the prophecy wasn’t about him
You asked how he knew, and he told you the whole story about how Rachel flew in on a helicopter, but it failed and Annabeth had to get into the cockpit and safely land it
‘I see, You’ll believe Rachel when she tells you, but not me. Good to know.’ you started walking away, but Percy grabbed your wrist
He apologised, admitting there was no excuse for his behaviour. He did believe you deep down, but on the surface he felt hurt that another thing was out of his control. At least when it was him, he could do something about it.
You forgive him and tell him that he’s doing his best. He’s doing so well he’s literally been dubbed the leader of the entire camp, an achievement in itself
In a moment of silence, your eyes met. It was almost like your breathing was in sync. You looked at his locks, tracing each small hair down to his face. His beautiful sea green irises reflected what looked like admiration but also relief
Before you could analyse them further they were ripped away from your gaze, fixing themselves instead of a large sound.
Clarisse seemed to be leading the Ares cabin
You get a sinking feeling in your stomach, Clarisse is stubborn as a mule and there’s no way she’s changed her mind
Everyone else around you cheers and ‘Clarisse’ charges into battle tearing thought the enemy lines until she’s met with a drakon that strikes her down
You all rush over to her ready to carry her off to the infirmary when another Clarisse appears, one you all recognize as the real one.
She takes control of her cabin and leads it to victory, beating the drakon single-handedly, earning her father's blessing
Selina fessed up to being the spy and how she was threatened by Luke making his case for redemption thinner
Soon you Percy Grover and Annabeth make your way to Olympus to set up more defences, accompanying Grover to the gardens
While Percy was convening with his father in what could be described as the stupidest plan ever, your own father came up to you
He told you how brave you and your siblings were. He also spoke of your ingenuity with his bow and declared you it’s owner
After he said this, he took your right forearm into his hand
With a slight burning pain, just before the crease appeared a small, pale yellow half sun surrounded by arrows
You thanked him with a huge grin, constantly glancing at your new mark
“There’s no need to thank me, you have proven yourself worthy of welding the Golden Bow. May your aim always be true”
You quickly hurried to rejoin Percy, who was recovering from nearly being obliterated by his father for sitting in his throne, and both share your good news
Your celebrations are cut short, however, when Thalia announces Kronos’ army is at Olympus’ door
You, Percy Thalia, Annabeth and Grover are all separated from the rest of camp and Hades undead army, fighting Kronos’ vanguard alone
You quickly shot an exploding arrow at the vanguard, effectively cutting Kronos’ forced in half
You and Percy exchanged a grin before joining back into the fray back to back.
You covered Percy and the others with a barrage of arrows as you all followed Kronos, trying to prevent any further destruction of Olympus
Thalia is crushed under Hera’s statue but urges all of you to keep moving
Ethan gets into the way of your group and as you're about to shoot an arrow at him, Percy stops you
By some miracle, he convinced Ethan to help Olympus instead of Kronos
Sadly, he soon killed for his betrayal by the titan
After Kronos angrily wipes the vision of Typhon being beaten, Annabeth tries to reach out to Luke one more time in hopes of him regaining his senses
She succeeds somewhat, but Luke struggles to keep control
Percy had intended to kill Luke himself, but your warnings about the prophecy not being about him repeat inside his head on a loop
Finally, it all clicks in place. IT’s about Luke
He gives Luke Annabeth’s blade and Luke choses to save Olympus by sacrificing himself
When the Gods return, everyone is given a reward: Annabeth is made Olympus’ architect and your father of course requests more statues of himself; Grover is given the final seat on the Council of Cloven Elders and all the fallen would be awarded Elysium
You were glad Michael would have peace
You stood back, content all of your friends efforts were rewarded, however, your father wouldn’t waste an opportunity to praise you in front of all the Gods
He beamed as he spoke of the Golden Bow finning a worthy owner after centuries and the mark on your forearm begin to glow indicating to the Gods you were the owner in question
You were bestowed with a golden Laurel wreath and declared the slayer of beasts
Of course, this was all an elaborate excuse for your father to shower you with gifts, most of which were poems about every fight of yours he witnessed
However, the most significant gift was Apollo’s blessing, allowing you far greater power over light including the ability to turn invisible and “just for fun” the ability to play all instruments
He went off on one, how normally your eyes would turn brown if they weren’t already and the hair would turn blonde with orange stripes in it, but he quite liked your eyes and hair
“They remind me of your mother”
So instead you got golden highlights accompanying your new powers
Finally, it was Percy’s time to shine. You were excited for him, wondering what kind of reward he’d get for all his bravery
What you didn’t expect was immortality, you stood staring at him wide-eyed
You wanted to be happy for him, but secretly hoped he wouldn’t take it
Then you wouldn’t be able to tell him about your feelings for him
He probably wouldn’t be allowed outside Olympus, you’re not stupid, you’ve seen the Hercules Disney film
Percy was shocked to say the least, he never thought he’d do something so spectacular as to earn immortality
For a split second he was tempted to take it, but he looked back at your sad face and realised, there’s no way he could
Instead, he makes a list of demands, that if anyone but the God’s chosen hero were to make they would be smote
But thanks to those demands, Percy made the camp a better place
For one, Nico would finally have his own cabin, along with the kids of the minor gods
When everyone got back to camp, your siblings planned a swift celebration
The music was pumping, and you felt each and every note
It was euphoric, every beat every note pumped through your veins like never before
You grabbed a spare guitar ready to give the blessing a test drive
Everyone looked at you shocked as you felt the melody ripple pleasantly through your body
Everyone cheered nonetheless when you placed the guitar back down again
You joined the crown once again dancing your heart out before your arm was grabbed, and you were pulled out
Percy was leading you away from the crowd and grumbled when he heard whooping front the direction he dragged you away from
He kept going until you got to the lake, the setting sun reflecting peacefully off its waters
Percy took both your hands in his and looked you in the eye summoning his courage
‘I really like you,’ it was out in the wind and all you could do was stare flabbergasted
Your heart was leaping for joy but your brain was holding it back because it didn’t make sense
“I thought, but you… you and Annabeth… in the labyrinth, you- you kissed’
Percy wasn’t expecting that to coke out of your mouth, sure he was prepared for rejection but somehow this was worse
‘I-yeah I guess we did I kinda forgot about that,’
You stood there still shocked as he continued trying to figure out what everything meant
‘I forgot because I kinda figured everything out while in the River Styx. I- wow never thought I’d have to say this, I honestly thought I’d take this to the grave, it’s a little embarrassing. You were what grounded me to this world, I could feel you pulling my shirt at the small of my back and holding me there until we nearly kissed. At that moment I was no longer confused, I knew it was you I wanted.’
‘So that’s why you avoided my question’ Percy nodded shyly
You bit your lip thinking, processing all the information
You moved closer to Percy parting your lips slightly and grasping the small of his back
You gently put pressure on it
Percy gasped smirking you asked ‘and that’s where your weak spot is isn’t it?’
He hastily nodded blush dusting is cheeks as you brought your lips closer to his
‘While we’re confessing things, that week where I was shut in; I wasn’t sick. I was upset about you and Annabeth and wanted to avoid you. The angry states you got from my siblings were because they knew I liked you’
‘Oh’ it was all starting to make sense now that the dots were out together for him.
You stayed like that until the last rays of sun fell over the horizon
‘Hey water boy ,’ you smiled at Percy’s dumbfounded face. ‘Are you gonna kiss me or not?’
He did not have to be told twice
He slammed his lips down in yours
You reviled in the feeling of his lips on yours finally getting to feel what you’ve longed for
You felt warm sparks fly out of you and as you parted with Percy you looked around finding your bodies surrounded by small yellow sparks
‘That’s new,’ you smiled, thanking the Gods and mostly your dad for helping set the mood.
Extras
A/N: Oh my goodness, this was way too long. It was 37 pages of a Google doc, and I probably should have split it into parts. Also, I am the queen of putting the keep reading in awkward places (Hi future me, the keep reading was deleted because it turns out that’s was ate the text I had to re paste)
Edit (03/07/22): I didn’t realise I forgot to copy a whole chunk of the story from the word doc. It’s now fixed between the Empousa (sp?lol) and Percy’s “I missed you” was where the gap was
Edit (05/06/23): I was made aware by an anonymous user that I used she/her pronouns in the section with Percy’s mum. This has now been rectified. As a result I did remove the line about a wedding. I was unsure of how to reword it in a gender neutral way so opted to remove it entirely. I also noticed while making this change I used ‘girlfriend’ instead of partner in the section where they visit Luke’s mum. The same user notified me of an issue with the hunters of Artemis section. I was unaware of what they meant. I looked through any instance i mentioned the hunters or Zoe and removed “You told him Zoe was probably more comfortable taking girls, considering she’s one of Artemis,’’ hunters.” Again I was unsure of how to word this in a gender neutral way so opted to remove it. I have replied to the full ask and is under #untitled Percy Jackson headcannon for anyone who wishes to read my initial response. I believe that’s all the mistakes rectified. If not please tell me and I will fix them

Colour theory (fluff)
Luke Castellan x gn!reader fluff
Prompt: Luke comes into your cabin at night for some cuddles... and to discuss eye colours
My first PJO post, im excited and i hope you like it!
Requests are open, dont be shy :)
Masterlist
You drowsily blinked open your eyes, the moon light was shining into the cabin. It was late at night, noone was up yet. You could hear the soft breathing of your cabin mates. You turned around with a sigh and pulled the blanket over your shoulder, closing your eyes again.
There was a quiet knock on the window where your bed was placed under. You opened your eyes again and pushed yourself up from the matress. You huffed but leaned up to peak out of the window.
A soft smile grew on your face as you sat up on your knees to unlock the window and slowly open it to avoid making noises. After all, you didnt want to wake your cabin mates. Or attract any cantankerous harpies.
The window squeaked quietly when you slowly opened it. The window sill made a slight cracking noise when Luke stepped on it.
You offered your hand and he grabbed it tight when he carefully climbed into your cabin. He was just in his camp halfblood tshirt, grey sweatpants and socks, carrying his sneakers in one hand.
He gently stepped on your bed, holding your hand for support and put his shoes on the floor once he was inside. You leaned up to lean against his shoulders after he sat on your bedside.
"Hey." You murmured. You wrapped your arms around him and rested your head on his shoulder. He turned his head and kissed your nose. You scrunched it and Luke continued to pepper your face with kisses for a few moments which made you giggle. "Hey." He whispered back finally.
"Thought I would come around." He whispered and you lifted the blanket up for him to slip under it next to you. Luke fell onto the matress next to you and wrapped his arms around you. "Thats nice." You chuckled quietly as you rubbed your eyes.
You sunk back into your pillow with a heavy sigh and pulled Luke closer to you. He leaned up and rested his head on your chest.
You smiled widely and combed your hand through his hair, hair strands running between your fingers. "How are you?" You asked whispering. Luke only hummed and you thought he was too close to sleeping to give you a proper answer but then he whispered against your skin.
A warm summer breeze blew through the open window, carrying the smell of grass and salty water from the lake into the cabin. Luke sighed relaxed and inhaled the fresh air, his fluffy hair tingeling your chin.
"Tired." He grumbled softly. "How come?" You asked concerned while you brushed one of his curls from his forehead. Luke sighed slightly annoyed and buried himself deeper into your body. "Cabin is loud. We got a lot of newbies." He groaned quietly.
Luke often complained about the Hermes cabin being overcrowded. Which was true, it were too many people to an extend where you couldnt get out at night because the floor was covered in sleeping campers during the night.
Luke always got a lot on his plate with keeping his cabin in track, making sure they all arrive at the meals on time and finding a place for everyone to sleep. It got onto him sometimes, it wasnt a rare thing that he sometimes joined you in bed in the middle of the night. He was always craving your comfort and touch and sometimes it just got too much.
"Im proud of you, ya know?" You whispered while you gently rubbed Luke's shoulder muscles. The blond boy groaned in pain but leaned closer. You laughed quietly, massaging his hard muscles.
"Come on." You nudged his thigh with your leg and he pushed himself up to lay down between your legs to rest his head on your chest. You scooted a little more in the middle of the bed, which was barely enough for two people but it was sufficient. It was a good excuse to initiate some cuddling, when the two of you first started dating.
Your boyfriend exhaled calmly. "I like the kids. But sometimes its just too much." He whispered, you leaned down to see that his eyes were half-closed. He smiled at you lazily as you got back to rubbing his shoulder muscles.
"I know you like your kids. But you are allowed to feel overwhelmed. You got a lot to manage and you are doing a great job. Hell, i dont know how i would manage to make sure that a whole army of kids is kept fed." You chuckled into his hair. Luke leaned up to kiss your clavicel as it was right next to him.
"Thank you." He whispered back. There was a faint blush on Luke's cheeks and you took a moment to admire his beauty. His dreamy blue eyes were slightly glazed over but he smiled at you softly.
"I love your eyes." You whispered and leaned down to kiss his forehead. Luke smiled widely and propped his head up on his hands, looking up at you.
"One of the new kids said the colour is called 'old world blue' because it has a little yellow around the pupil." You hid your laugh behind your hand to not wake your cabin mates.
"I see. Maybe an Iris kid?" You suggested, still snickering lightly. Luke nodded eagerly. "Absolutly. She ran around the camp all day, telling people their eye colours. Did you know that Mr. D's eyes are not actually grape purple? They are indigo."
You smiled at Luke's excitement. "No, i was unaware." You chuckled. Luke layed back down and relaxed against your touch. His weight felt good on our body, it kept you grounded and helped you relax your own body. "You have to introduce me to her, i would love to find out what my eye colour is."
"I will. But no matter what colour it is, you are always beautiful." Luke whispered sheepishly. You laughed at how adorable he was behaving. "Thank you, my love." You snickered.
"Old world blue... that's my favorite colour ever now." You whispered into his hair. It was quiet for a few seconds before Luke mumbled back.
"I wonder what my new favorite colour will be."

Tender Loving Care - Sam Drake X GN Reader
Tumblr media
Title: Tender Loving Care
Sam Drake X GN Reader
Additional Characters: Nathan (Mentioned), Sully (Mentioned), and Reader's friends (Mentioned)
Requested by: @a-very-bored-blogger
WC: 3,763
Warnings: Sickfic, bar mentioned, alcohol mentioned, italics, smoking, nicknames, brief mention of snakes, movie reference, banter, flirting, teasing, confession, mini angst, and fluff
Waking up with a sore throat and a snotty nose was not how you wanted to start your day. At all. Your eyes felt crusty from sleep, or your sickness and your whole body felt achy and cold. Well, no work today for you, that's for sure. You were not going to get up, get dressed, and everything, just to suffer through eight or nine hours of dealing with people. That sounded like torture, and you didn't want to risk getting anyone else sick. One part of you was pretty elated, you didn't really care much for your job. But, the other part of you was going to miss your best friend, Sam. The both of you had planned to go out to dinner together.
You and Sam met when he rode into your sleepy little town on his motorcycle. You were on your way to college, walking down the sidewalk when he pulled up to you. He asked for directions to the closest motel and you answered politely; whilst also trying not to get too caught up in how handsome he was.
Throughout his stay in your little town, you had bumped into him many times. On the fourth time, you were with friends at a bar. You had been chatting with them, laughing and having a good time as you usually did, before one of your friends nudged you in the side. You looked at them, seeing their bright, mischievous grin and the glint in their eyes; watching as they gestured with their eyes to the other side of the room.
You turned your head, looking over, only to freeze. There, at the other side of the bar, was the mysterious stranger that rode into town only a few days prior. The stranger that you had learned was called Sam Drake; his eyes flickered over to you. You had bumped into them three times before - as previously said - and all three times, you felt this immense connection between the two of you.
Before you knew it, you found yourself walking to the other side of the bar; with a smidge of help from your friends, your confidence grew; albeit with the help of some liquid courage. You stood with him, leaning against the bar as you sipped one of your drinks.
You finally got to know the mysterious Sam, finding out that he was a treasure hunter; which definitely intrigued you. He told you the many stories of his adventures, from Captain Avery's treasure to just traveling around different countries with his brother.
When it was your turn to speak, you almost felt that your life was practically nothing in comparison to his. You didn't go off on amazing adventures or found long lost treasure. You worked a simple - yet boring - nine to five job. You had friends, went out to the arcade and the movies sometimes, but never anything as amazing as what Sam said he did. You hadn't even traveled outside of the country. But you spoke your part, and Sam didn't turn away. He didn't yawn, he didn't stray his eyes, and he didn't try to interrupt you. You had his full and complete attention.
And, well... To make a long story short. The two of you quickly became best friends.
Sam stayed in the town for the next month, playing the excuse that he needed a small vacation from his treasure hunting. You greatly doubted that. But, for that month, you spent most of the time together. You showed him around, introduced him to your friends, and even went on mini adventures on that motorcycle of his together. You were both joined at the hip, and you - and Sam - wouldn't have it any other way.
But he did have to go. You had learned that Sam never liked to stay in one place for too long. And before you knew it, he was heading off to Granada, Spain. You were incredibly crestfallen. You didn't want him to go so soon, but then he asked you something that you couldn't refuse.
He asked you to come with him.
You couldn't say ‘no.’ How could you say ‘no?’ This was your chance to get out of the country, to get away from your sleepy little town, to get away and go on a real adventure. You asked your boss for the time off, packed your bags, and off you and Sam went - with the help of his friend Sully - whom you grew to adore as a father figure.
Granada was beautiful. The architecture, the culture, the food, everything. You wished that you could stay there forever. Sam - quite literally - taught you the ropes, teaching you how to toss a grapple hook and swing across high cliffs. You traveled through forests, through old ruins, and even helped Sam find the lost jewels of Enrique Gómez. It was adrenaline-filled, and exciting.
You didn't know when, or where in Granada, but you found yourself falling for the thief. You quite thought that he stole your heart. And you did not want it back. You loved how passionate he got when he spoke about an artifact or some treasure he had planned to find in the future. You loved the way his face lit up when he found something amazing to show you. You loved how the corners of his eyes would crinkle when he laughed. You loved his voice when he spoke about anything and everything; you could listen to him talk for hours. And you loved his eyes... They held so many emotions, and if you held his gaze long enough, you believed that you'd fall into those dark abysses of his.
This realization however, made your life a bit more difficult.
~~~
Groaning slightly, you pouted, not even wanting to move an inch; it felt like your skin was on fire, yet you were freezing. However, you needed to use the bathroom, and your nose was beginning to run, so you had to get up. After you were finished, you headed downstairs to find some tissues so you didn't have to use toilet paper, grabbed your carton of ice cream from the freezer for your sore throat, and headed back to your room. Dealing with your nose, you sniffled before heading to your closet to find your fuzzy bathrobe. Slipping that on, you almost felt a little better before heading to your TV, sliding your ‘Superman ll’ VHS tape into the player. Sitting on your bed, your back against the headboard, you slowly ate your ice cream as you watched your movie; feeling groggy and aching.
Sam waited by his motorcycle, leaning on the diner building’s wall, as he waited for you; taking a drag from his cigarette. He was becoming a bit restless, with his foot tapping against the pavement. Near the beginning of his friendship with you, he insisted that he would pick you up in the evenings when you both had planned to have dinner together, but you insisted back, wanting to use your own car; not wanting Sam to waste his motorcycle’s gas more than he had to. Sam had been a bit disappointed in the beginning. He thought picking you up would be a great opportunity to spend more time with you, but it didn’t take Sam long to agree with you.
But as he waited, and waited, Sam began to wonder and worry about you. What if something happened? What if you got caught in traffic? Sam scoffed to himself on that. Traffic? There was hardly any, if not zero, traffic in your little town; Sam came to realize that after staying there for the past month or so. So, where were you?
Were you okay?
Though Sam was used to feeling worried and uneasy - especially for his brother, Nathan - he still wasn't used to the feeling. In addition to these feelings that grew whenever he saw you. This intense sense of desire to protect, hold, and cherish you. It scared the hell out of him. It scared him because he didn't know how to handle it. He was a flirt. He was someone who enjoyed the thrill of danger. He probably couldn't count how many one-night stands he had. But this… This… It felt so different. He wasn’t a ‘settle down’ kind of guy. But, Sam believed that he could be for you.
He sighed heavily, smoke expelled from his mouth as he pulled the cigarette from his mouth and stared at it. You told him to quit, but it was difficult. He had cut back on how many cigarettes he smoked in a day - smoking only one or two a day. He wanted to quit; he really did - especially for you. But every once in a while, he’d lose himself and he’d start smoking again. Just a tiny bit of nicotine and he’d be good as new. Sam sighed again; staring at the cigarette for a moment before tossing it onto the ground, squishing it with the heel of his boot, and pushing himself off the wall. Sam stuffed his hands into his Jeans pockets as a couple left the diner; their laughter echoing throughout the air. Sam felt that he had waited long enough, hopping onto his bike. The trip to your house was a short one, and when Sam saw your car in the driveway, he let out a sigh of relief.
Slipping off his bike, he walked up to the front door, ringing the doorbell. Shuffling his feet on the porch, he stuffed his hands back into his jean jacket pockets, hearing shuffling behind the door. As you opened the door, Sam's awaiting grin dropped when he saw your appearance. You stood at the open door, hand holding onto the door frame to support your weight. You were wrapped up in your fuzzy bathrobe, your hair a bit messy, and still in your pajamas. Your eyes were glassy, your eyelids were hooded, and your nose red.
"Oh, sweetheart..." Sam muttered, as you sniffled, "Why didn't you tell me that you were sick? Why didn't you call me?"
"Hello, handsome," You gave him a small, tired smile, moving out of the way as he quickly entered, "I'm sorry, I should've called..." You muttered, closing the door behind yourself. "I just didn't want you to worry about me. I'm fine now, it's just a cold." You tried to reassure him, letting out a yawn.
Sam shook his head, raising his hand to press the inside of his wrist against your forehead, "Y/N, you're hot."
You let out a small laugh, having to turn and cover your mouth as you let out a nasty cough, "Thanks, you are too."
"No, sweetheart, you're really burning up." He spoke, "Come on, let's get you back into bed." You nodded slowly, following Sam up the stairs and back into your room. Sam pulled your blankets back as you climbed in; unable to stop smiling as Sam began to tuck you in perfectly. You hummed happily, snuggling deeper under your blankets before turning around to lay on your back, closing your eyes. "Do you need anything? Water, food?" Sam asked, watching as you shook your head. He let out a sigh as he ran his hand through your hair, pushing it from your sweaty forehead.
"I'm good, thank you, Sammy." You spoke, clearing your throat slightly as you opened your eyes again, "You're too good for me." You mumbled, your eyes closing once more as you fell asleep.
Sam sighed once more as your breathing began to slow, your chest rising and falling peacefully. Standing from your bed, he headed out of your house, but not before grabbing your house keys from the hook by the door.
~~~
You didn't know how long you had slept, or what time it was, but when you opened your eyes, you found the sun rising outside your bedroom window. Blinking rapidly you took in a deep breath, and sat up. As you push yourself to lean back against your headrest, you let out another cough, rubbing your sore throat with your hand. Looking around, you found Sam's jean jacket on the back of your desk chair, his shoes next to yours by your closet. You couldn't help but smile as you brushed your hair back, wondering where he was. But, your question was quickly answered as you heard footsteps coming up the stairs, and it wasn't long until your bedroom door opened.
Sam entered, dressed in his jeans and maroon v-neck, holding a bowl. Noticing that you were awake, Sam's frown flipped right around. "Afternoon, gorgeous."
"Gorgeous?" You let out a small laugh, watching as he sat down the steaming bowl on your bedside table. It looked like soup. "I bet I look like a mess, but, thank you." You smiled brightly at him, sitting up. "So, where have you been?"
He continued to grin, running a hand through his hair, "Out n' about."
"Out? Where?" You pressed, furrowing your eyebrows together.
"Well, I went to the store, and got you a few things that you might need..." He replied, grinning as he continued, going around your bed to grab a brown paper bag from the end of your bed; placing it down near your feet, "And then I made you soup. Your tea is doing whatever tea does in the kitchen. I was going to go grab it after I gave you your soup. But now that you're awake..." He trailed off, digging through the bag to pull out the items he grabbed for you.
"Sam, did you really?" You asked with a smile, excitement, and surprise in your voice, and your stomach filled with warmth as he nodded. "Is that chocolate?" You asked as Sam pulled out a few packs of crackers, some chocolate bars, a box of tissues, and a few small bottles of water.
"Yeah. I didn't know how much you needed. Or what you wanted..." He muttered, placing them all on your nightstand; the last item being an ibuprofen bottle. "But, I also saw this when I was out, and thought you might like it." He spoke, going back into the paper bag, and pulling out a book. You blinked a few times before your eyes widened, looking up at Sam in shock.
Reaching out, you took the book into your hands, a gasp leaving you, "Sam... This is ‘The Trials of Marine Beaumont’! The legendary French pirate that revolutionized European history in the seventeenth century! How did you get this? It’s been sold out everywhere." Sam shrugged lightly, giving a halfhearted smile as he took a seat at the edge of your bed. "Who knew that a small cold would bring out the nurse in you. You spoil me.”
"Don’t think that’s an excuse for you to get sick again." He smirked at you softly, “And I always spoil you.” His chocolate brown eyes gazed down at you. "How do you feel?" He then asked, shifting closer to your side.
"A little better... My throat is a bit sore, but otherwise, I feel great." You smiled softly, glancing over at your alarm clock, "It's almost two... Did you stay here all night last night?"
"Yeah," Sam nodded, "I didn't know if you'd need me for anything... So, I slept on the couch."
You sat the book down beside you on the bed, "Sammy... You should've just taken the guest bedroom. That couch is so small."
Sam just shrugged, his fingers fiddling with the edge of the handmade quilt, "Slept on worse," He joked, looking up at you, finding you already looking at him. Clearing his throat, he pressed his fist to his mouth briefly, "So, you hungry? Don't want your soup to get cold."
You hummed, nodding as your smile softened, "Yeah, it smells amazing."
~~~
"Snakes... Why is it always snakes..?"
Your bedroom was dark, only the light from your TV illuminating the room. You were sitting on your bed, leaning against the headboard, Sam beside you; his arm wrapped around your shoulders. An empty bowl sat on your bedside table, along with your new book, your empty tea cup, and your alarm clock - which read; seven-thirty-three.
Your cheek was pressed snuggly against Sam's shoulder, eyes glued to your TV as Indiana Jones found himself surrounded by snakes. Your nose felt dry, as did your throat; and you coughed. Sam rubbed soothing circles into your shoulder. Sam blindly reached for the half-empty water bottle beside him, before handing it to you.
"Thank you..." You muttered, taking small sips from the bottle. "You know," You began, clearing your throat a bit, "He reminds me of you."
Sam looked down at you, his brows knitting in confusion. "Who?"
You shook your head, "Indiana Jones." You chuckled softly, setting the bottle of water on the nightstand, "He loves adventure, going from place to place, finding treasures..." You trailed off, grabbing a tissue from the tissue box and blowing your nose. "Though I will admit, you're funnier than him." You said, throwing away the tissue in your small, plastic trash can.
"You don't say," Sam smiled, his lips grazing the tip of your head, before looking back at the TV.
"I do say," You mumbled, nuzzling your cheek on the soft fabric of his sleeve. "I love that about you. No matter how I am feeling, or what situation, you always make me laugh."
Sam suddenly felt warm, his heart fluttering as he smiled. "Hey, I am a man of many talents." Sam breathed out, his thumb running across your shoulder gently.
"Yes, you are," You grinned, just as the infamous Indiana Jones pulled his way out of the snake pit. But at the sound of your little hum, Sam looked back down at you. Feeling his eyes on you, you looked up at him. "What?" You asked, biting off a piece of your chocolate bar.
Sam tilted his head to the side slightly, his dark eyes searching yours before he spoke, "What was that little hum all about?" He asked, his grin turning mischievous.
"What hum?" You giggled quietly, moving the chocolate bar from your mouth.
"You hummed, sweetheart." He raised an eyebrow, "What popped up in that beautiful mind of yours?"
You bit your bottom lip, re-wrapping the chocolate bar and setting it over on your bedside table. You watched Sam closely, as he looked back at you. He seemed curious, waiting for your answer patiently. "Nothing important..." You spoke softly, suddenly becoming nervous. Sam could tell that something was bothering you. "Um, Sam," You paused, licking your lips nervously. "Can I ask you something?" You started, not meeting his eyes.
"You can ask me anything," He told you, his hand on your shoulder gently playing with your hair. You nodded, staring down at your hands in your lap. The short silence between the two of you hung thick and heavy. Sam could hear your breathing slowly getting heavier and heavier. After a moment, he sighed, deciding to speak first; seeing as you never had a problem talking to him, even when it came to the serious stuff. "Y/N?" His voice sounded gentle, his tone kind as he spoke to you.
"When are you going to leave?" You asked, continuing to stare down at your lap, as Sam felt a wave of panic - and slight hurt - settle in his stomach.
"I can leave-"
"No!" You cried out,, your hand grabbing his, quickly lifting your gaze to meet his eyes. "I mean... Um... I- uh, Do you have any plans on leaving any time soon? Y’know, going off on another adventure?" What you really wanted to ask was if he had plans of leaving you soon. You knew that Sam wasn't the kind of guy to stay in one place for too long. He had told you, and it was very apparent in the many stories that he told you, that it was only a matter of time.
He stared down at you, watching the nervous expression on your face shift to worry. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes, shaking his head slightly as he opened them again, "Not right now. It might be a while. Maybe in a week or two. Not sure." Sam admitted before his expression suddenly turned serious. The intensity in his eyes caused your breath to catch in your throat, but with a somewhat defeated sigh, he dropped his eyes from you to the still-playing TV. As Indiana swooped down with his lady-love in his arms, Sam pursed his lips; his eyes narrowing in deep thought. "I'm not good at this," He muttered, and you could tell that he was speaking more to himself than anyone else.
Your brows furrowed, "At what?"
Sam hesitated for a few moments, before speaking. "Love," He explained, his brown eyes boring into yours, causing you to blink once, twice. "I've been in love before, Y/N, but... I've never felt anything like what I do towards you. It's hard for me to put words to my feelings, but... I guess what I'm trying to say is..." He trailed off, not knowing how to continue. "You make me want to be that 'settle down' type of guy, sweetheart." You swallowed thickly at his confession.
You suddenly forgot how terrible you felt - forgetting about the stuffy nose, the sore throat, and your aching muscles - you simply focused on him. His gentle touch as his hand covered yours, his words echoing through your head as you gazed into those same deep brown orbs. His words made your insides melt, and your cheeks flushed. You felt yourself falling deeper and deeper, and deeper. "Really?" You asked, you couldn't help yourself, letting out a small giggle; you felt your eyes tear up slightly.
"Yeah," Sam breathed, "Really." He repeated, reaching out to cup your warm cheek.
You sighed, "If I wasn't sick right now, I would kiss you," You stated honestly, feeling a rush of excitement course through your veins as you stared into his eyes.
Sam grinned, narrowing his eyes playfully, "I don't mind getting sick, if it means kissing you,"
You couldn't help but laugh, before turning away swiftly to let out a rough cough into the sleeve of your elbow. "First thing when I'm better, how about that?" You suggested, looking back up at him, unable to keep your wide smile off of your face.
Sam chuckled lightly, looping his arm back around your shoulders, the both of you settling back to watch the rest of the Indiana Jones movie, "I'll hold you to that."
