Random HLVRAI headcanon that I have in my brain (ft. my autism, but very reserved)

So HLVRAI takes place in 2020, so like. it’s very reasonable for the characters to have grown up with consoles and pc games so THIS MAKES SENSE TO ME !

Benrey grew up with playstation, Gordon with xbox, and they both definitely argue over which one is better

Forzen also grew up with playstation but he just went over to Benrey’s house and didn’t have a playstation at his own house .

Tommy and Coomer grew up with Nintendo I’m sure, but Tommy also used the Sega consoles because . why not . I love the Sega consoles, I think his favourite is the Dreamcast 

Bubby was made in Black Mesa, but I think he still kinda “grew up” with PC games . Like the shitty ones that came with Windows XP (they’re not shitty idk why I said that . I love you Pinball)

Darnold also grew up with PC games ! But he had actual games rather than the ones built in to the OS. He probably collects old point and click games 

new headcanon: Lucius Malfoy is an autistic little freak and his special interest is bugs. He strongly believes shrimp, crabs, and other such seafood are bugs as well and refuses to eat them - not out of disgust, however, but out of respect for bugs. He collects them as well and has a few rooms in the manor dedicated to the care of insects, beetles, and other creepy crawlies that are classified as bugs.

what makes johnny lee millers sherlock so much better than most other adaptions is that hes so autistic like he just fucking loves bees and he will go crazy over them (definitely a spinterest) and he has this basic knowledge of all these different things like an autistic person who found those things because of a past spinterest and even tho they're not into that specific thing anymore they still remember the research they did into it and he has no interest in whats socially acceptable and what isn't he if he wants to talk about it he will he has this outwardly cold demeanor that makes most people think he doesn't care about those around him but everyone whos close to him knows his tells and knows hes actually so affectionate and hes so straight forward about stuff if something is bothering him he will bring it up so nonchalantly and he can't see why something he does is odd to him it makes sense and that's what matters I appreciate an very autistic coded sherlock they capture his spirit so well

I feel like the thing that draws a LOT of former Fanders to Hermitcraft is the maturity of the Hermits. If something gets delayed, they're straight up about it. There are clear dates. If a Hermit has to leave for their health, mental or otherwise, they say so, and are welcomed back with open arms. The Hermits themselves don't ever call out 'haters", instead focusing on the positives. Even Gem and Pearl, who are YOUNGER THAN THOMAS, act maturely enough to acknowledge if there's a gap in videos, or to say 'I don't want to go into details but I'll be back soon'. That's something Thomss is severely lacking in- maturity and transparency. A simple tweet or insta post can go a long way. Doc doesn't have to say 'sorry the video was late, Doccy got sick', but he does. Ren doesn't have to talk about his mental health, but he does. None of them are perfect, but Thomas still acts like he's that 20 year old from Vine. Maybe he just doesn't know how else to act, or he's in an echo chamber of only seeing the 'good' side of the Fandom. But I know, because I've been watching The Hermits for years now- the kind of shit Thomss has pulled? You'd never see Iskall, or Scar, or Tango doing shit like that. They're honest with their fans. Even Wels, who hasn't uploaded a Hermitcraft video in a while, has 100 times more transparency than Thomas.

Sorry to get on my soap box, but that just hit me while watching Decked Out. TLDR; The Hermits act like adults when they need to be adults. Thomas hasn't left his early 20's

GOD YEAH YOURE SO RIGHT. i went from a tss spinterest to a hermitcraft (+ life series, evo etc) spinterest and .. now you point it out, theyre a million times more transparent

to make a semi-similar comparison: the wait between tss episodes and the wait for decked out to be finished. obviously, making a whole mini game in minecraft and making an episode of a web series arent similar in process, but the way tango and thomas handled the wait can be compared. it took tango 13 months to make decked out 2. he made countless episodes and livestreams talking about the process and giving us updates. thomas, in the three and a half years he's been writing the finale, has only told us he's finished parts one through three. he's 3/4 of the way done with the writing.... but that doesnt tell us if he's filmed or edited anything, if he has all the props together for the shoot... we just have his word that something is coming soon. he'll be done soon

and yes, spoilers for a minigame and spoilers for an episode of a show do affect how much information one can give, but we have gotten nothing from thomas

The problems with the DC fandom's potrayals of Jason Todd

Hi,hello!!You might recognize me as that one Jason selfshipper who's self-insert is a pink Super that's always making shitposts and drawing parallels because autism go brrrr.If not,then that's a pretty good summary of my blog for newcomers!But today,i'm here to talk about a serious matter involving Jason and the bad depictions of him by fanon.As an autistic person who has the Batfam as one of his biggest spinterest,it's incredibly important and personal to me that Jason be done justice not just by canon but by the fans too.Which as you probably guessed by the title,dosen't happen very often.And i want to get into why and how that is!This ride is gonna be a bit long so buckle in

So to start off,the most blantant one:Making him into a misogynist who treats women badly based off their gender.Jason is an asshole and edgelord but that does not equal hating women and he's proven that many times.Has he been rude to characters who're girls?Yes but not once has he used their gender against them.You don't see him throwing around 'bitch' or the sexual kinds of insults(such as 'whore')towards them and that's because it's not a part of his character and never has been.When he was Robin,he showed such strong respect towards girls of all ages to the point where it was all but outright stated he was willing to push a man off a roof because he SA'd a woman and even as Red Hood,he never looses that as seen by his treatment of Talia and his female love interests.The idea that a guy being 'manly' means he must also be sexist perpetuates toxic masculinity and it's messed up to erase male characters being feminists(for lack of a better term)because you buy in it

To continue off that,the headcanon that he's a horndog who sleeps around is also a direct contradiction of his character.Jason is not actively interested in a relathionship for himself and he has shown this across pretty much all his incarnations in his actions and at least in the case of Rhato,his words too:

And the pervert sense of humor?Straight up made up out of thin air by non-comic readers.I get it,he's very hot,i agree with that very much,but assuming he must also be a sleaze because of it is making extremely weird assumptions.Attractive dosen't mean overly sexual and i don't think i have to explain why it's bad to change him being a total prude to a player because you believe it does,even more so since it's crystal clear that his reluctance towards intimacy is a trauma response.I get that people have different coping mechanisms but they're not interchangable and you're erasing rep by switching Jason's for another one

There's also how he barely drinks alcohol-there's actually a gag of him as Robin where he orders milk at a bar-and hasn't been shown to particularly be into smoking but guess what two of the most popular things he's shown enjoying in fanon are.Ironically enough,he's a huge literature nerd who's unashamed of and shows off his love for books and was implied to be into theater as a kid and guess what again?Those get stolen and given to Tim instead(*Flashbacks to Btas*).It's been shown that in the DC verse,it takes smarts to be a succesful vigilante and/or villain(the former of which Jason is and the latter of which he was for a long ass time)and he's ABSOLUTELY not just getting by on luck.Almost the entierty of Utrh wouldn't have happened if he wasn't a genius.Is he brutal?Yes,so much.Is he a brute?Not in the slightest bit

All this culminates in a particular and very big ick i have when it comes to fanon Jason:How all this combined with the latino hc for him turns him into a walking stereotype of my people.Latino Jason means the world to me,especially if he's also black,and it breaks my heart that gringos have sullied it with their lack of research and fetishization of him but that'll never stop me from reclaiming it and making it into the beautiful rep i know it is!Back on track:This point is something that under no circumstances should be let slide,it's racist fullstop.Reactions to it should only be either 1)attempting to educate or 2)blocking.If you disagree,please just do the blocking towards me

And the last thing i'd like to adress is his relathionship with Bruce:Jason does NOT have 'd*ddy issues',he has TRAUMA.It's one thing to joke about him wanting Bruce to love him so bad he became evil and being petty asf towards him,i actually love that type of humor,and it's a whole nother to be an ableist jackass because Jason wasn't all sunshine and rainbows when he found out his dad didn't avenge his death at FIFTEEN by a guy who does shit like domestic abuse and is a deviant who's not afraid to act on his thoughts.Don't take this as Bruce bashing,as i am aware that this is the fault of the writers bigotry and hating on him squicks me out

What i'm trying to say is:Jason Todd is a much better character than he's given credit for and i hope this helps him get it,even if just a little bit

heheh ! thanks for asking anon :) Uusually I would base a winged au varient character's persanality on the bird species I'm giving them the wings of [Like I did w/ Ink [hummingbird] or Fresh [cuckoo]] but I chose Error's wings entirely on appearance alone, the nourthern jacana bird just Called to me fr fr </3. [these lovely birds have mostly ruddy red wings with bits of black spotted in, and then all the primaries and secondaries are these Lovely creamy yellows! absolutely stunning. They also have Real Yellow Spikes :)) [they're called spurs, and usually only used for fights within the species [rarely used to combat preditors]]] His personality is still based on a bird though! It's just Another bird, the Cracticus quoyi, or Black Butcherbird. This little sweetheart is known to impale it's prey on thorns for safekeeping and later eatings, and I just thought that screamed Error. He likes to hang up the souls as such, but also snacks and other such knickknacks in his web :D! [rather stressful to the dear Kestrel [blueberry] he kidnaps to be hung up by what seems to be a rather butcherbird like avian friend </3] He also likes taking naps higher up, and will make little hamocks and string swings to lounge around on; he's rarely ever on the anti-void floor proper, much preferring the elevated altitude of his strings.

CAT DADS!!!!! they own so many cats and theyre like their children (agoti names some of them the stupidest names ever)

they're not ones to use pet names often, but they do have special nicknames for each other that only they understand. agoti often calls tabi "t", "tabs" or "little horns", meanwhile tabi calls agoti "goti" "gots", "A.G" or "lucky star" (i came up with that one on a whim and it stuck bc its fucking adorable)

both of them have very horrible attachment issues and get lonely really really easily whenever they're apart, so they often keep a namesake that reminds them they aint alone :,)

STARGAZING DATES. any time they can they often go stargazing together and agoti tells tabi endless facts about the cosmos (agoti w/ an astronomy spinterest go BRRRRR)

ik crow was talking about agoti's love languages being physical touch and quality time (and i endorse this 100%) but hear me out — gift giving too. think about it, tabi hardly ever expects anything from anyone including on celebrations such as christmas or his birthday, and agoti (being pretty well off) loves to spoil tabi and buy him lavish gifts :)

kissing was never really a big thing for em, and when they did, it was often a simple peck on the cheek or smth and almost always agoti who initiated it, however, tabi once initated a kiss and agoti genuinely lost his mind whehehehehehe >:3

they know everything about each other, from favourite foods to the exact things they say, so often times they unintentionally predict whats gonna be said
