A whole new perspective -

We all have that habit to think back to things we wish we could have done better.

what is gone, and what is done will never be changed. we call it a past because it needs to remain in the past only. let's say you face the same situation today as your present,

will you let your past mistakes interfere the same as they did earlier?

maybe today you'll decide to handle that situation something differently. Today you will analyze that situation in a whole new manner.

Because you already know, how you deal with it previously and it doesn't give you any positive outcome but just regrets. 🙇‍♂️🤷

Doing a mistake is the first step of the lessons we learned in life. You can also see it like that" Not doing a mistake, means you are not doing anything ".

Past is a past if you never learnt anything from it 💯.

if you learnt anything from it then it becomes a lesson, an experience.

Someone has lived your journey gone through it and came out as a better person. maybe through all this, they have created the greatest version of themselves.

sometimes we need such lessons straight at the back of our heads. so we can put our thoughts in a more secure place, organize them and then think.

The memory of that situation differentiate whether it's a lesson for us or a past event.

If it's a past event it keeps recurring my friend until the lesson is learned.

We can't always get what we want but that does not mean we can't try. Sometimes we have to stay longer than we thought we had to in the tunnel before accepting the light that's at the end of it. Because, we may get to the light in the rush to get over the pain but we'll never reach the solace of being strong again to accept the reality. There will always be a part of us that will never cross the tunnel with us,leaving us bit by bit but not every time we need to be whole for us to feel complete . Sometimes being incomplete is all we need. To get through those nightmares, those shock waves that come out of nowhere, shattering us into millions of pieces. We think we deserve it,but the truth is.... sometimes we need to feel pain to remind ourselves that we are only human and need to get through with it, with us, our demons. And we managed to be exes that stayed friends!

I'm amazed at how eachother's new chapters we endeared,

Then why does the news of your wedding feel so fucking weird?

The pictures of your wedding are decorating my Instagram,

Somehow my brain's reacting in nothing but monograms.

When the air between us is sorted and cleared,

Why does your being someone's husband feel so fucking weird?

I see you invited all your friends with whom I've hung out,

Did they remember me at your wedding, did they call me out?

And even though, by hurting you, I had my own reputation smeared;

Why is this insecurity making me feel so fucking weird?

You seem thinner, your eyes blinded by conviction;

Or maybe I'm just making it up, a nonsensical fiction.

Maybe you are just glad and cheered,

Then why does your smile feel so fucking weird?

No, I'm not jealous, or insecure, or psychotic,

Just hinged that you're overriding my memories, I've no place even in your attic!

I'm happy that a righteous life you have pioneered,

And maybe tomorrow I won't consider any of this as weird.

To soothe my screams and stay beside my bed forever.

You remember the person you could never say I love you to?

Maybe because you had certain boundaries or something

Or maybe you just thought that it's not the right time to say it and later it was too late

Or maybe your friends constantly kept telling you that it was a bad idea and you're gonna end up ruining everything.

Well, obviously, they were right!

It was a bad idea,

Because he just wasn't the one.

It's quite difficult to believe that you were never gonna be together,

But some part of you always felt what it could've been like if you just would've confessed your feelings back then,

But whining and crying about it isn't gonna change anything!

As they say you eventually meet the right person when it is meant to be,

The right person will ultimately come searching for you and go head over heels in love with you.

You just have to stop searching for it,

The more you'll go searching for it, the more you'll be hurting yourself.

Love is not something you've to go searching for,

It is something that happens instantaneously when you'll meet the one.

Destiny will someday, somewhere and somehow, sooner or later ultimately bring the right person to you!❤️
