Pieces... I don’t need anyone to save me.  There are too many sunsets I am yet to see, need to see, must see.  But someone cheering me on would help.  Someone holding my hand in love instead of judgement would be nice.   Because isn’t that what we all want? To be loved for who we are and what we are and all that we are, always?  The waves and sea remind me that even when its rough,  I am here to be me and make a difference to those who need to see they’re not alone   as I share the relentless things that have happened to me, that they took from me.   The peace and quiet broken by voices; some familiar, some I can’t place,  calling out the mundane as they go about their day, treating those they encounter   with contempt instead of care, with judgment instead of love.  And I pray that they will be quiet so that I can focus, listen,   only hear the one voice I need to hear in peace.  But this place I find myself in is peaceless cos there are so many pieces,  and I will not rest until I am whole again.   . . Oh how she loved him.. She loved him so passionately, so deeply.. so recklessly. He was young and she was a school girl. First time he saw her walking on the sidewalk, she stepped with confidence.. with a sensuality that was so strong he could smell it in the air like perfume. Their eyes met for seconds, as he slowed down, and opened his car window admiring her perfect hourglass figure. She gave him a glance and locked eyes with him just long enough.. inviting enough.. but only long enough to tease him before she picked up her steps again, her heels resuming their steady beat. From that day, he came every day same time for an unspoken rendezvous..for their eyes to meet.. and whisper silent hellos.. REAL... I just wanted real in a world so full of fake. I just wanted to heal but you wanted to see me break. I just wanted to be held, but all I got was judgement, without the right to speak, left destroyed and silenced. I bought all the lies you sold, only to become the one who was sold out. 🥐𝗠𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗 & 𝗦𝗡𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗧🥐 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 - 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 We sat at the local café in my neighborhood. Sipping on overpriced coffee and nibbling on equally expensive croissants. The sweet, buttery aroma of the croissants mixed with the rich, earthy scent of the coffee created a tantalizing symphony for our senses. “This coffee is pretty tasty. Only cost me an arm and a leg,” I said, savoring each sip. “I know, right? And these croissants? Heaven in pastry form,” Ardit said, dusting off crumbs from his lips. “Wow,” I said, “tone it down, dude.” “What?” Ardit laughed. “Heaven in pastry form,” I snickered. “Really?” “When you’re as hungry as we are, yes.” He said, “It was a long car ride.” “We still have a long journey ahead of us,” I reminded him. “We have to go to the Faerie Realm.” “I know,” Ardit said, setting down his cup. “But we have magic on our side.” He closed his eyes and held out his hand, conjuring a small, sparkling orb of light. “Show-off.” “Hey, I have to keep my skills sharp,” Ardit said, shrugging. The café buzzed with chatter and clinking of silverware, but Ardit and I sat in our own little world, the weight of our journey temporarily forgotten. As we finished the pastries and drained the last drops of our coffee, the spell of the café broke. Reality set in and the weight of our journey returned. “Ready?” I asked, standing up and shouldering my backpack. “As ready as I’ll ever be,” Ardit said, joining me.
