me: I kind of like that Lance doesn't have a love interest at the end of the show. I think it adds to the message that romantic love doesn't "fix" a person, but rather, loving and knowing that you are loved (whether that be platonically, romantically, etc. etc.) can inspire a person to change for the better, which is what Lance does for his daughters. The idea that he is chasing love in the series and finds it not in romance, but in parenthood is a good subversion of tropes, and I quite enjoy it, even if this kind of depth was not the writers' intention.

hyune on my mind (fic ideas!!)

all I’ve been thinking about for the past couple days is hyunjin so I have 2 fics for him I wanna write (ideas below)

okay, so I learned that some weasels and ferrets will lighten or turn white in the winter, and I keep thinking about hybrid!hyunjin whose dark hair goes ash blonde every winter and he hates it. like throws tantrums about it like howl from ‘howl’s moving castle’ and is sooo dramatic, until reader gives him attention and reassures him that it’s fine and he’s still very handsome. and when the seasons change again his hair will darken in patches and he just wants to dye it, but reader kinda loves how sulky and needy he gets when he wants her reassurance, and tries to talk him out of it.

the second idea I have is like a cowboy au? but hyunjin’s not a cowboy, he’s from the city. I’m thinking more like reader is from a rural community and they fall in love but she has to go back home to help take care of her family’s farm (she’s some sort of rancher, idk), so she breaks up with him because long distance hard. and then she ends up inheriting the farm and kind of being stuck there because no one else will take care of it, and she’s very torn about just selling her family’s farm. and then city boy hyunjin shows up because he’s still in love with her and he’s mad that she broke up with him, so he’s gonna prove to her that he can help her and they can make the distance work.

but yeah, I foresee something very angsty with this. my main inspirations for this idea were this song by anne bates and ‘cowboy like me’ by taylor swift. so maybe exploration of childhood trauma and some dramatic family things happening? idk. and I think snarky best friend lee know would just make sense in this au

Peter and Wade came up with a bunch of codes words/phrases for each other than mean different things in case they ever need to be more discreet on patrol, in their civies, or over the phone. "My air conditioner broke" could mean "My lead was a dead end", or "I can't make it for taco's," could mean "I'm being watched."

They have one code word that specifically means "I'm dying/I'm fatally hurt" So...

5 times Peter uses the "fatally hurt" code word, and the 1 time Wade does.
