Dornou(?): Dude you gotta listen to the police or you'll die. You have to listen to them or they'll throw you in jail. You won't be able to escape. You can't go around beating up cops, they'll kill you or imprison you
Tarzan: I'd like to see them try

Are there any unique ways laughter is expressed in Arabic in text?
Love this question and yes, the most common one is هههههه which is really just a repetition of the /h/ sound. We also have weird ones like خخخخ which is a repetition of the /kh/ sound. Some more that I don't see that often anymore like كاااك (kaak) which I think we buried in the early 2000s

This bloodbath has gone on for far too long. At the start of this aggression, the school year had barely just started. The academic year ends in just a month. Everyone, from first graders to university seniors, have lost an entire year at least. I say at least considering even if there is a ceasefire today, Israel had destroyed literally all universities in Gaza and damaged over 400 schools. Lest we forget also Israel's deliberate targeting of university professors and academics.
You absolutely cannot mistake the intent behind all of this.

Not sure if we all are even able to realise the magnitude of this catastrophe in Gaza topped with communication blackouts and electricity cuts that has been ongoing for 6+ months.
Something that I couldn't stop thinking about for weeks is the fact that many Palestinians have lost count of the number of days this genocide has been going on for. I saw someone's Instagram story from Gaza of them debating with their friends what even date of the month it was.
Devastation at every level.

History of Step
What is Stepping?
What is Step?
Stepping or step dancing is “a percussive dance in which the participant’s body is used to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand-claps,” writes the African American Registry.
Step has its origins in Africa, as dancing has been a large part of traditional African culture for centuries.
Calling Step a "bizarre silent dance without music" has to be one of the wilder antiblack racist descriptions I've ever heard of stepping lmao. Anyway if you see the video, it's step!!! They're stepping!! It's a Black American form of dance!!

trying to Google the definition of a word and it's just coming up with even older versions of the story
Look at this
HEre begynneth the syxthe day / Thenne came therin syr Gaherys / and there encountred with hym syre Ossaise of Surluse / and sir Gaherys smote hym ouer his hors croupe / And thenne eyther party encountred with other / and there were many speres broken / and many knyghtes cast vnder feete /
¶ Soo there came in sir Dornard and sir Aglouale that were bretheren vnto sire Lamorak / and they mette with other two knyghtes / and eyther smote other soo hard that all four knyghtes and horses felle to the erthe / whan sire Lamorak sawe his two bretheren doune / he was wrothe out of mesure / And thenne he gat a grete spere in his hand / and there with alle he smote doune four good knyȝtes / and thenne his spere brake / Thenne he pulled oute his suerd / and smote aboute hym on the ryght hand and on the lyfte hand / and racyd of helmes and pulled doune knyghtes that alle men merueylled of suche dedes of armes as he dyd / for he ferd so that many knyghtes fledde / Thenne he horsed his bretheren ageyne and sayd bretheren ye oughte to be ashamed to falle so of your horses / What is a Knyght but whan he is on horsbak / I sett not by a knyght whanne he is on foote / for all batails on fote ar but pelowres batails / For there shold no Knyghte syghte on foote / but yf hit were for treason / or els he were dryuen therto by force / therfore bretheren sytte faste on your horses or els fyghte neuer more afore me / with that cam in the duke
I still don't know what pelowres means.
the version I am reading:
Here beginneth the sixth day. Then came there in Sir Gaheris, and there encountered with him Sir Ossaise of Surluse, and Sir Gaheris smote him over his horse croup. And then either party encountered with other, and there was many spears broken, and many knights cast under feet. So there came Sir Dornard and Sir Aglovale, that were brethren unto Sir Lamorak, and they met with other two knights, and either smote other so hard that all four knights and horses fell to the earth. When Sir Lamorak saw his two brethren down he was wroth out of measure. And then he gat a great spear in his hand, and therewithal he smote down four good knights, and then his spear brake. Then he pulled out his sword, and smote about him on the right hand and on the left hand, and rased off helms and pulled down knights, that all men marvelled of such deeds of arms as he did, for he fared so that many knights fled. Then he horsed his brethren again, and said, Brethren, ye ought to be ashamed to fall so off your horses; what is a knight but when he is on horseback? I set not by a knight when he is on foot, for all battles on foot are but pelowres battles. For there should no knight fight on foot, but if it were for treason, or else he were driven thereto by force: therefore, brethren, sit fast upon your horses, or else fight never more afore me. With that came in duke Chaleins of Clarance; and there encountered with him the earl Ulbawes of Surluse, and either of them smote other down

Esmerelda does NOT die in the first Tarzan book. I'm not sure if she will be in the second one. I don't know how many books there are I didn't even realize there was more than one.
She is a black woman who is jeans nanny, and there is a scene where it seems like Jane is about to Mercy kill Esmeralda and then kill herself to stop them from being eaten alive by a lion but they are rescued before anybody gets shot. Esmeralda was unconscious at the time so she's not aware of that happening.
Outside of this scene, she's written to be cowardly hysterical comic relief. But she does survive and doesn't even receive any injuries as far as I can tell.
I'm not sure if she has a last name.

5 seconds later
Sir, said Palamides, I will that ye all know that into this land I came to be christened, and in my heart I am christened, and christened will I be. But I have made such an avow, that I may not be christened till I have done seven true battles for Jesus’ sake. And then will I be christened. And I trust God will take mine intent, for I mean truly. Then Sir Palamides prayed queen Guenever and the haut prince to sup with him. And so they did both, Sir Launcelot, and Sir Lamorak, and many other good knights.
Converting to christianity: hard core mode

anywqys a public domain character is Sir Palamides, a Muslim knight who at a certain point takes up the quest to hunt the questing beast, I assume after the last person who was on that quest either gave up or died. I'm not sure what his original heraldry was, but it is "currently" a picture of the questing beast.
He's also a rival for Sir Tristram for Isold(ect)'s affection but it's not actually a fair competition because Tristram and she accidentally drank a love potion together.
Sir Palamides is considered one of the best knights. He's been in the general vicinity of King Arthur's court for probably 20 years at this point where I am at in the story?

Ok racists
And therewith he rased off his helm, and said, Corsabrin, yield thee, or else thou shalt die of my hands. Fie on thee, said Corsabrin, do thy worst. Then he smote off his head. And therewithal came a stench of his body when the soul departed, so that there might no body abide the savour. So was the corpse had away and buried in a wood, because he was a Paynim.

And for to make a short tale, he smote down three brethren of Sir Gawaine’s, that is for to say, Mordred, Gaheris, and Agravaine. Truly, said Arthur, this is a great despite of a Saracen, that he shall smite down my blood.
If you're gonna be a islamomisic sore loser about it then just tell people not to challenge him to fights maybe. It's not his fault people who can't mind their own business.
