The actual lore and potential ships that some of you are missing out by not being a Lance fan is insane.

Checo and Lance were such great teammates and once again Lance got himself another grid dad that clearly adored him. The videos of them are genuinely funny and I will forever remember that Pianata moment.

Max and Lance used to compete against each other and seemed really close in 2014 when they both drove in the Florida Winter Series. They also seem close even after they came together. I could imagine they did a bit of racing against each other and they are also some of the guys who have been on the grid together the longest.

Lewis and Lance have this sweet dynamic since the beginning of Lance F1 career. Lance has always stood alongside Lewis in his own quiet way.

Lance and George used to have this fierce beef because George believed Lance was gifted his F3 title. They also raced against each other at some point. The whole beef lore with them is so fascinating and genuinely intruiging especially now that you don't see them beefing anymore.

Lance used to watch Nando race and cheer him on in the garage. Not to mention his father was insanely close to Nando as well? I think Lance has said before that Nando was one of his heroes or people that he looked up to most. Their story goes back to like Lance first season. Not to mention how close they are now with Esteban being like Nando's nemesis.

I am not certain about this but I feel like I have also seen pics of Lawrence and Carlos dad? And it seems like after this weekend they are also close together.

Lando and Lance had beef but now it seems like they are getting along? The beef came mostly from one race and Lando discrediting Lance. I also know Lando used to joke about Lance in some streams so I feel like they should be on good terms?

Esteban and Lance have been besties since their F3 days and they are literally inseparable. When Este lost his seat and Lance got it, Esteban made sure to post a statement where he said he didn't blame Lance and that they are great friends. They literally consider themselves each others best friend on the current grid.

I do not know how exactly how well they know each other but Charles has multiple times said that Lance is one of the nicest drivers on the grid.

Pierre and Lance had beef because of racing at some point leading us to the famous "Parking lot fight" memes.

I know Alex and Lance used to also race each other at some point but I have no idea how close they are.

Oscar and Logan are fairly new so I can't judge their relationship to Lance yet.

Lance and Daniel have such a strange relationship. Daniel shared Lance first podium with him and they are technically somehow connected through Scotty. (Who actually got set up by Lance. Chloe said that Lance basically told her "You will marry this dude" and apparently did the magic of setting them up.) Yet we rarely see them interact and it almost seems like they don't like each other? Yet they seemed fairly close at the wedding? This entire dynamic is so intruiging.

I have no idea if Lance is close to Yuki or Zhou but I think there's not really any lore here.

I know that Lance is seen by the Haas drivers as nice because on the grill the grids they have both I think guessed him as giving them their gifts. Another thing to add because the entire grid guesses Lance if those gifts are nice or personal and some are suprised when they are. Seems like Lance is seen as a thoughtful gift giver.

Oh the Lance and Valtteri lore is some of my favourite. They were going to be teammates and we were robbed of that all because of "It's Britney bitch" making an exit and pushing the Mercedes team to get Val earlier than planned. I know they are close and they genuinely seem to get along with many conversations between them in the drivers parade. They also had their little joke about catching someone on the last line because Val took second place from Lance when he got his first podium only for Lance to take a place of Val this season the same way.

Lance is also widely considered as an alcoholic by the paddock apparently because they keep gifting him stuff like Tequilla.

adding more to the idea of modern!fmo reader and aemond: aemond is jealous af of the relationship his gf got with his brother and her boy bff (ser quinton my sweet lil meow meow) while simultaneously being the one that’s actually cheating😃

Ok now I’m just gonna do headcanons for modern!fmo bc I’m bored and love the idea (sorry this is long 😭)

-reader and Aemond meet through their moms rather through reader befriending Helaena (let’s say Alicent and reader’s mom are Pilates babes and go to the same studio)

-reader’s mom gushes about how her daughter goes to [insert rich people school], and Alicent is like shut up! one of my boys goes there (meanwhile reader’s mom knows this bc she religiously stalks Alicent’s Facebook)

- Aemond is a English major, with a minor in marketing, reader is studying biochemistry with a focus on plants/plant reproduction.

- they meet at a party Alicent throws for helaena getting her masters or something like that

- the first year of their relationship actually goes well. It’s basically the honeymoon phase, and both their moms think they are geniuses for making this happen

- in this universe, reader knows alys exist from the jump. And she’s like “oh your bestie is a pretty older woman yay 😃😃😃”

-reader is certain something is going on, but Aemond gaslights and lies to her. It isn’t until she finds some ummm.. intimate garments that she knows she does not wear. She’s almost positive alys left them on purpose. This is break up number one

-Aegon and reader become close after aemond, ever the coward, sends his brother to get back some of his stuff. They bond over liking the same obscure rock band

- funnily enough, quinton and reader meet through Helaena in this universe. The entomology major (hel) and the geology major (quinton) work closely at their school

-Aemond and reader get back together at a Christmas party. Aemond promises he’s not even in contact with alys anymore (another lie).

-quinton can’t stand Aemond. Thinks he’s so pretentious with the hair and the poetry (yes he writes it for reader). Aemond thinks quinton is just kind of stupid lmao

-Aegon is the one to tell reader that he def is still fooling around with alys again. Second break up

-this causes a bit of tension between Aegon and aemond.

-reader is certain she is done with Aemond. Then she finds out she’s pregnant :/. She honestly goes back and forth between keeping the baby

-eventually she breaks down and tells him bc she’s scared. Aemond, despite reader’s wishes, tells his mom. He’s scared too :(. Alicent, our queen, is like I’ll take you to the clinic if you want 🤷🏽‍♀️. She loves her kids but she had Aegon young and gets it’s not for everyone

-in the end, reader decides to keep the baby. Daella Targaryen is born 9 months later. Aemond and reader have a very beautiful, expensive sort of shotgun wedding. They have it when daella is a little over a year

-quinton, very drunk, confesses his love for reader in a voicemail she gets during her bachelorette party. Things get awkward for them after that :(

- things are actually kind of good considering the circumstances. They’re young but they also have way more resources than people in their peer group. By this point, reader is working part time at a laboratory trying to cure different illness through plants. Aemond works for his dad’s company

-eventually Aemond convinces reader to stay home with daella. Hints at maybe wanting another baby

- everything is fine, till reader finds texts. She’s not one to snoop but she sees heart emojis and is like “since when does my husband use emojis”. Texts going to and from a “A ❤️”.

-she starts to wonder if all those work trips are actually for work.

-reader takes daella while Aemond is away one weekend. They visit Aegon or uncle egg to daella. Aegon, a practicing defense attorney, is like “babe I can get you a good family divorce lawyer. We will milk him for everything.” 😭😭

- reader hires a p.I immediately, gets all the proof she needs. Pictures, calls, emails. This has started back up since daella was born.

-things get really messy when their half sister, Rhaenyra wants to do a merger deal with another company and their family one. As viserys declines in health, there becomes a struggle for power between Aemond and nyra

-Aemond begs reader to hold off on the divorce till they handle things. She agrees but they start to live in different houses. She plays the waiting game… but through all this craziness she realizes she hasn’t had her period

-alaric targaryen is born, and reader struggles with ppd. She feels a bit trapped. Her parents are telling her to stick through it and give Aemond another chance

-in the end, they end up separating for some time. They coparent, and things are pretty tense. Reader tells Aemond that alys is not allowed to be anywhere her kids or she will go back to get sole custody.

-one of the weekends they are doing a swap, Aemond breaks down and tells her that alys cheated on him. He actually apologizes and for a moment reader thinks that door is still open

-BUT.. she gets an text from a number she doesn’t recognize

10.) "What was your first concert?" THIS ONE'S A DEEP CUT LMAO I don't know if this counts as a concert bc it was actually more of a small bar gig not a big concert, but I count it bc I love them My first concert (that I remember at least) was going to see Driftless Pony Club!! I'm pretty sure it was around 2011, so I was like… 12/13? It was super fun!! WheezyWaiter signed my sibling's friend's face connecting his beard to his sideburn it was great askansjdf. If you've never heard their music and enjoy some early 2010s indie, I highly recommend their first two albums "Buckminster" and "Expert," the sound of my childhood 🖤🖤

16.) "Have you ever been in the first row for a concert? if not, what was the closest seat you’ve ever had?" Not yet, I really, really hope to get close for Ghost in Sept. tho 😭 The closest I've been was in GenAdm at Monumentour 2014 seeing Fall Out Boy and Paramore lmaooo I'm not as into them anymore, but I had the TIME OF MY LIFE. I was like five rows of people from the stage and I could have touched Joe Trohman it was amazinggg. I have a bunch of shitty quality pics and videos of it from my ipod touch 4 LMAO I was also pretty close to the front when I went to see Against Me! in 2018, we were standing a level above ground to avoid the pit, they put on an AMAZING show. I adore LJG and Against Me! holds a very special place in my heart (Also idk if this counts bc not a concert, but I got front row tickets to see the Beetlejuice musical on broadway. It was the second to last show with the full original cast before Rob McClure left and I cried so hard it was amazingggggg 😭😭😭)

17.) "If you could go back in time and attend any artist/band’s concert that you were unable to attend, who would it be and when?" FR??? I just want to go back in time a few years and have listened to Ghost since Meliora era. I was so close!! I've known about them for a while having had only listened to Square Hammer, but only recently got really actually into them. Gross buzzword, I know, but I have such fomo for not being able to see papa iii in concert 💀💀💀 That, or, there was a time Todd Rundgren came to a city near me. I wanted to take my dad for Father's Day bc he introduced me to his music, but I just wasn't able to swing it 😔

"Name a song that reminds you of one of your best memories" Ooooh that's a tough one, I've got bad memory kasdfkjank A lot of these are more like general ethereal feelings of being happy with people I love since I'm bad at remembering specific events 😭 The entire RENT soundtrack makes me happy bc it makes me think of many a road trip spent with my sibling and my best friend from high school, that and screaming Hamilton with my sibling driving me back and forth home on the weekends for the short time I was in college The Sweeney Todd soundtrack makes me think of my mom, she's the one that got me into musicals from her love of theater. We used to have matching MP3 players, and that soundtrack specifically was one of the few things on hers LOL Meat Market by Everybody Else and How The Day Sounds by Greg Laswell make me think of playing OMGPOP games with dear friends I have a lot of music that I connect to my bestie and roommate kenzie, but we've been living together for over two years through the (multiple) pandemic(s) so I Cannot list everything, mostly more musical soundtracks come to mind. I love that bitch ✊✊ Also in general, Welcome To The Family by Watsky gives me a very warm happy feeling and always makes me think of my friends

“Isn’t the point of coming home for us to, like, be home?”

Topper laughs, the sound bright and familiar to your ears, even through the phone speaker. Deciding to go off to separate colleges two years ago meant that that was how you heard your boyfriend’s voice a majority of the time these days, and it was still nothing compared to the real thing. And being back home in OBX meant you were just itching to hear it again, right in front of you for real. “We have all summer to be home, angel. It’s one weekend away.”

“I know,” you smile, switching the phone to speaker so you can finish folding up some last minute additions to your bag. “I’m excited.”

“Good. That’s what I like to hear. I’m gonna get the Malibu ready, pick you up in ten?”

“Ooh,” you purr. “He’s picking me up in his boat?”

“Of course I am. My parents just got it out of the slip yesterday, it needs a maiden voyage for the summer.”

“I’m honored,” you laugh. “See you soon, Top.”

“There she is.”

You’re dropping your bag to the wood of your parents’ dock and practically racing to the end of the platform, tying Topper’s boat up as fast as you ever have so he can get out, pulling you into a hug so bone-crushing your feet leave the ground for a second.

“I missed you,” you hum, giggling as Topper walks the two of you back to where your bag is, trying to fit in as many kisses as you can.

“Missed you too, pretty. C’mere,” he says, leaning in for another kiss now that your bag is slung securely over his shoulder. “You ready?”

“More than ready.”

“Alright, hop in,” he says, holding a hand out to you where he now stands back in his boat, your bag tucked neatly under one of the seats. “Bow or stern?”

You just smile and throw yourself back into his arms. “You know you’re gonna let me drive.”

You drive the Malibu until you get bored, much preferring to let Topper take over while you just watch and hold him around his waist.

“Easy travel day yesterday?” he asks, kissing your forehead.

“Yeah, flight was okay. Had to take the ferry but, whatever,” you sigh. “Just tired still.”

“Mm,” he hums. “You can sleep in the car on the way up.”

“No, I have to pick the music,” you argue. “And coordinate snacks.”

“I can figure out my own snacks,” he mumbled.

“Do you remember the sunflower seeds? You were finding them in the seats for weeks.”

“Oh my god. One time,” he groans, shaking his head in the backseat. “That was Rafe and Kelce’s fault for fighting in the backseat.”

“That was a fun trip,” you recall, thinking back on the summer before, when Topper brought you all to his college town. You’d already been multiple times, of course, but Kelce and Rafe always made things a bit more fun, if a little chaotic. “Maybe we should have invited them this time.”

You’re teasing, just trying to get a rise out of him. Of course it works, Topper cutting his eyes over to you as you pull back up at his house. “Hey, no. We have all summer to deal with them crashing our dates. This is Y/n and Topper time.”

“Y/n and Topper time?” you laugh. “You’re so fucking cute. Missed you.”

“You said that already, baby,” he points out. But his eyes scan your face in adoration, and he kisses you anyway.

“Yeah, ‘cause I really missed you,” you sigh, head hidden in his neck.

“I know. Missed you more.”

“Not even.”

“I absolutely did.”

“Not possible, Thornton,” you tease, letting him go as the two of you make to get out of the boat, but not before pressing one more kiss to his jawline.

The weekend’s about as perfect as it can be. The cottage Topper booked is adorable, the weather is perfect save for one bout of rain that drenched you both on a walk home from dinner. A little tipsy from the bottle of wine you’d just shared, sober you might be embarrassed by the way you let Topper twirl you around in the middle of the street, both of your clothes getting soaked as you two made your way back to where you were staying.

Both off school for the summer with a few weeks before the internships lined up in your parents’ business networks began, you have nothing to do but catch up and just be with each other for the first time in a while. You didn’t get to spend last summer together, so you couldn’t help but be excited for what lay ahead.

But you wake up anxious, tossing and turning until you can’t justify possibly waking your sleeping boyfriend anymore, sliding out of bed as the sun rises. You flick the coffee pot in the kitchenette on, needing something to do with your hands, watching as Topper slept soundly.

You don’t know why, but your heart clenches at the rested look on his face, the way his navy crew neck rides up on his stomach, his messy hair and the way the arm that was previously wrapped around you lays stretched out to the side, fingers twitching in his sleep like he’s reaching out for you.

You abandon the coffee and the two mugs you set out, slipping one of Topper’s fleeces over your arms and putting your flip flops on, walking out to the front porch.

You fold yourself into one of the wooden chairs set out on the porch, your thoughts lost to the skyline you gaze out upon.

Of course if isn’t long until Topper is shuffling around in bed, not thinking anything of it when you aren’t next to him, but sitting up a bit straighter when he can’t see you in the cottage at all. He smells coffee, sees two mugs set out on the counter unused, then peers around to watch you through the front windows as the coffee finishes up.

When Topper joins you on the deck, you look up from where you had your chin digging into your knees. You smile slightly as he sets your coffee down in front of you, accepting a kiss on the forehead and a soft touch on your back.

“Morning,” Topper greets sleepily, settling into the chair across the table from you. “You’re up—” he checks his wrist, pushing his sleeve up so he can read his watch “—early, baby, holy shit. I told you we don’t have to drive back until noon.”

“Morning, Top,” you greet quickly, busying yourself with testing out the coffee he made perfectly for you. Your boyfriend leans closer to you, his tired eyes searching your face.

“What are you doing out here?”

“Thinking. Couldn’t sleep anymore,” you mumble, sinking into your chair. You sweep your eyes back across the sky, noticing concern in his eyes when you look at him.

“What are you thinking about, baby?”

“Don’t you wish it could be like this all the time? Like every weekend?”

Recognition flashes across his face, and he’s smiling into his coffee slightly. “Of course I do.”

“It’s just so much easier like this,” you say.

“Being with you is easy for me all the time,” Topper says.

You feel a smile lift your lips just slightly, even if it’s at at his naïveté. “Topper.”

“Y/n,” he counters.

“I’m being serious. You know it’s not easy most of the time. At least,” you bite your lip, wondering if your feelings were exaggerated if Topper was completely fine. “At least, not for me.”

“Hey, not what I meant,” Topper says, his raised eyebrows enough to make you abandon your last train of thought. “And you know that.”

“So then what do you mean that it’s easy, Top?” you say. “I wake up everyday just missing you. I’m on this vacation with you, laying with you, we’re about to spend the entire summer together and and I can’t even stop thinking about missing you again—”

“Even on my worst day, baby. When I miss you so much I can’t even breathe, I am ten thousand times better off than I would be if you weren’t mine.”

You exhale, your mouth parted. “Top.”

“It’s hard because we love each other, Y/n,” Topper says. “And we want to be together. Which means it’s worth it.”

You nod, looking into his eyes, already so reassured just from the tone of his voice. “It’s worth it.”

“And every day we’re apart,” Topper starts, hand grabbing your own. He’s careful of your coffee mugs, pulling you out of your chair until you’re standing in front of him and he’s pulling you to sit sideways in his lap. “Is just one day closer to being back together. And we always have home, and then one day, we’ll never live apart ever again.”

You sink into his lap, arms wrapped around his shoulders, squeezing him extra tight while his arms reach around your back and lay across your thighs. “One day.”

“Hey,” Topper says softly, a hand on your face guiding you to pull back and look at him. “I’ve been thinking—you know how you got me this?”

Topper pulls the gold chain out from under the collar of his sweatshirt. You nod, hand reaching around to the back, where you had the charms of your initials placed when you bought it for Topper on your last anniversary. You knew Topper would like it because it was subtle, but everyone who needed to know knew, that he was yours. “Yes, because you wear it everyday.”

He just smiles, reaching into his shorts pocket underneath where your legs rest. “I wanted you to have something to wear everyday, too.”

The gold of the ring band matches that of Topper’s chain perfectly. It’s a thin band, your boyfriend knowing you’re just like him—you aren’t one for anything bulky or flashy, in the center a small pearl. You furrow your eyebrows, looking back up at him.

“Topper, it’s… so pretty.”

“And it’s my birthstone,” he says softly. You look at the ring, then back to Topper again, your body suddenly thrumming with butterflies.

“Topper,” you say, lost for words besides the name of the boy sitting here, ready to give you everything. “Can you…”

You unwind your arms from around his shoulders, looking in between both of your hands. When you look back at him, Topper is already pulling on your right hand, pausing before he puts it on your ring finger. His thumb strokes over your knuckle. “This one okay?”

You nod, wiggling your fingers as soon as he slides it into place. You place it on his chest, looking at the way your pieces compliment each other. “It’s not even my birthday. Or our anniversary.”

“I know,” he says, smiling. “But now you’ll always know that you’re mine.”

“Me and everyone else.”

Topper sighs, smiling like he’s been caught out. “That’s just a bonus.”

You finally lean in and kiss him, fiddling with the charms on the back of his chain like you always do, but reveling in the way you now feel it clinking against your new ring. “Have you had that in your pocket all weekend?”

“Yep,” he says, nodding shamelessly. “Wanted it to feel like the right moment.”

“I like you. I think I’ll keep you for a bit.”

“For these last two years of school?” he says.

You tilt your head, pretending to think about it. “And maybe a bit longer after that.”

February

Split my time between OR and MI. Aka I went out to michigan to see Jared for the second half of the month

The weather in Eug was SO nice that month? See pic at top from hike with @everythinginstride + nathan. They know how to spice up a hike let me tell ya. Summit coffee and stroop waffels 👌🏻

In Michigan we stopped to get Detroit style pizza the night I flew in as per usual. Jared's bestie who I had yet to meet irl came which was awesome. And I got a cocktail with gummy bears which was extra awesome.

Lots of snow! So fricken cold! So much running and snow and stressing about slipping! But I also finally got to meet up with @neu-run and run irl (so fking windy and cold omg) which was very nice (and made up for the wind and cold)

Took a day trip to Grand Rapids! Went climbing and ate tacos. Ideal.

Took a weekend trip to Traverse City. Amazing.

We stayed at this awesome airbnb and it was on a farm and we got to chill with the goats and cows and feed them and they were so fun and friendly.

Explored Sleeping Bear + went to wineries + went to a distillery that had yurts you could hang out in and play board games + drove up the peninsula. Definitely has me thinking about the Bayshore Marathon some day 👀

Went to a birthday party for one of J's friends and it was so much fun and very college-party-esque. Plus I got to meet most of his friends for the first time (shoutout covid!)

Chapter 3

“Well, I’m finished with the recordings, and saved the transcripts but nothing really stood out as helpful, sorry” you state as you look up at Steve. He looks up from his papers and give you a reassuring smile “Thank you, there may be something in there that is helpful, but that is what Sam’s here for” he replies as he pats Sam on the back. “Do you need a lift home? I feel bad for dragging you into work again and ruining your entire weekend.” “Don’t be silly, nothings ruined and the weather is beautiful outside. I’m glad I could help” you respond with a smile. “Are you always this cheery?” Sam questioned as you started to get up from the table. You looked at him grinning “Why wouldn’t I be? I live in the best city in the world, have a job I love, and I got to hang out with the coolest Avengers this weekend. Life is good!” “Well, you are a breath of fresh air around here, that’s for sure! It was a pleasure meeting you today and I hope I see you around again soon” Sam responded. “That would be nice, have a great day” you waved as you headed out of the conference room.

Steve squinted at Sam in confusion “are you hitting on her?” “Yes Cap, I was flirting with her. I’m surprised you picked up on it, didn’t think you knew what flirting was” Sam replied with a smirk. “Come on Sam, you can’t flirt with her” Steve grumbled. “Sam can’t flirt with who?” Tony asks as he enters the conference room with a tray of bagels. “Y/N Miller, she was just here and she is something else” Sam explains as Steve turns to grab a bagel. “I think the correct word for her is beautiful, birdbrain, and she is way out of your league. And why wasn’t I notified when she got here? I wanted to test her actual translating abilities against FRIDAY” he replied with a smirk. “Well, she left a few minutes ago, but I did enjoy watching her go” Sam said as he wiggled his eyebrows. Steve rolled his eyes “how about you review her transcripts and find us some information on Demetri Makarov or where he’s going to be on the 20th. We still have a lot of work to do.” Tony chuckled and began going through the transcripts “hopefully we can convince Fury to let her join us on the mission, you know, to help with translations.” “Come on Tony” Steve groaned “you are really willing to put that girl in harms way just so you can flirt with her?” Tony gasped faking offense “First of all, I haven’t had the chance to even begin to turn on the Stark charm. Second, she’s a SHIELD agent, not some mousy librarian, although she would look hot in some glasses and her hair pulled up.” “Tony!” “Sorry, got a little sidetracked. And third, that is no girl, that is a real woman. Fury knows what she is capable of, so I will run it by him if we feel the need to have her with us on the mission”

You made your way home and hopped in the shower. Today wasn’t as embarrassing as it could have been, but who were you kidding, they weren’t thinking of you as anything other than the translator. You were a SHIELD agent, but never assisted with missions. Languages were your specialty and it didn’t make any sense for you to be needed in the field, but you still had your regular training requirements to fulfill and tomorrow was hand to hand combat and the gun range. The gun range wasn’t a problem, your dad had you comfortable around them since you were small. Combat was a whole different ball game. You were raised to know how to defend yourself, sparing with a colleague always made you uncomfortable. You never felt right trying to harm people you trusted and respected. You preferred the punching bag, but since it didn’t punch back it was not helpful for preparing for missions. Knowing what was expected of you tomorrow, you decided to make sure your less embarrassing workout gear was clean and packed in your bag to grab in the morning on your way to work. After your shower you called your dad to check in and reassure him you were still alive and that you were heading to the shelter to see if you could find a running buddy.

Walking into the shelter, you were greeted by Melissa. You knew her by name now that you came by regularly trying to find the perfect companion. She greeted you with a huge smile and was a bit more energetic that usual. “I am so glad you came in this weekend. We have someone you need to meet, come on, he’s back her!” She said as he headed towards the kennels in the back. She stopped at the first kennel and turned to look at you “This is Tobias, he’s only around a year old and just arrived on Wednesday, is in excellent health and he LOVES to run!” You looked down at the sweet face smiling up at you and almost started crying. He was adorable with big brown eyes and seemed to be waiting for you to greet him. “Hi Tobias, aren’t you just the cutest thing. Oh my gosh, he’s beautiful!” at that he jumped up with his front paws on your hips and began sniffing every inch of you. Turning to Melissa “what do I have to do to take him home?” “I’m so glad you like him, come this way, a few papers to fill out and he can go home with you today!” she responded gleefully. “Well Toby, let’s go home buddy”

The walk home with Toby was fun, he was like a kid in a candy shop. No longer cooped up in a cage and wanting to sniff and pee on everything he could find. You made your way to the closest pet store to grab some much needed supplies before heading home. Tobias was exhausted by the time you got to your apartment, but even showing him his new bed, he followed you around the every where until you settled on the couch with your phone and a beer. You snapped a pic of your new bestie and shot a text to your dad.

Monday morning rolled around a lot sooner than you hoped with Toby snuggled next to you it was hard to leave your warm bed. Getting up you slowly stroked his back and called his name. “Ready for a run buddy”. His ears perked up and he stretched before jumping out of bed and heading to the door. Giggling you changed your clothes and made your way to the kitchen for coffee and a muffin before grabbing his leash and out the door. A short walk and you were at the Central Park entrance, you leaned down to Toby, scratching his ear while stretching your ham strings. “Alright buddy, show me what you got!” We both took on in a light jog and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happy dog. He stayed right next to me, but I could tell he could probably lap a greyhound if he was given the chance. You got back to your apartment after a good 45 minutes and Toby looked even happier to be slowing down. You gave him his breakfast before heading to the shower. Twenty minutes later you were drying your hair and trying to decide what to wear to the office. You fixed your travel cup of coffee before kissing Toby goodbye and grabbing your duffle bag and out the door. Having him in your normal morning routine took more time than usual so you hailed a cab and headed to SHIELD office.

You arrived at your desk to see Maria Hill sitting behind your computer, twiddling her thumbs and snooping through your photos and knickknacks on your desk. “And to what do I owe this honor darling Maria?” you said as you approached. “Good morning, I could tell you, but first I need to know who the hottie is in this picture with you” she responded pointing to your vacation picture on your desk. You laughed and rolled your eyes “That is Jacob, my gay brother.” Pointing to the next picture “but that is Joshua, the straight brother.” “Wait, I thought that was the same guy” she looked up then closer to the pictures. “They are twins and Joshua is single, he’s in the Navy, I can introduce you the next time he comes through town. Maybe fleet week?” you smile and wiggle your eyebrows. “You know I like a man in uniform, but we can talk more about that later. You are with me today for today, apparently Fury wants to make sure you don’t try to skip out” she states with a deadpan look. “Ok, that happened one, maybe two times. I don’t need a babysitter, but since I never see you, I would love to kick your ass” you say with as much glee as possible. “Good, because we are using the Avengers training area today” she responds as she stands up and you follow her out of the room.

You make your way to Stark Tower and get waived in by security. You are headed to the elevator bays when you see Tony Stark approaching you. He smiles at you and then lowers his glasses “schön dich wieder zu sehen”. You smile and respond ” Es ist immer eine Freude, in Ihrer Firma zu sein.” He grabs and kisses the back of your hand “tout le plaisir est pour moi.” “vous êtes en fait plus charmant que je ne le pensais” you respond with a slight blush. Maria clears her throat and you both break eye contact and glance at her. “I have no idea what either of you said but we are running a little late” she states and turns towards the elevators. “Nu te voi păstra” he responds releasing your hand. “ne vedem mai tarziu” you say as you wave goodbye. You enter the elevator behind Maria and she stares at you wide eyed, you smile and shrug. Maybe you can redeem yourself.

You make your way to the lockers and change into your workout gear, completely boring workout gear with absolutely no writing across your ass or chest. You emerge to find Maria waiting for you and follow her into the gym, “you want to start on cardio? Treadmill or elliptical?” “Do I have to?” I whine. “I already ran 8 miles this morning and I can’t stand treadmills, it makes me feel like a hamster on a wheel.” “Agent Miller, nice of you to finally join us. And did I hear you only did 8 miles this morning? Isn’t 10 your daily minimum?” You turn to see Nick Fury standing with his arms folded over his chest as he’s questioning your morning routine. You smirk at him as you approach “it’s a bit creepy that you keep track of my daily routine. You do that for all your agents or just your favorite?” you ask with a big smile. He glares down at you unamused as you start to notice several Avengers in the room slowing their tasks to listen to your interaction. You step closer wanting to push every button to get him to crack “well, my usual run was cut a bit short this morning. I had a new friend running with me and I didn’t want to push him to hard on our first run together, if you must know.” “A new friend?” he questions. “Yes, we met yesterday and he will be keeping me company on my morning runs.” He nods at you knowingly and winks so that no one else in the room can see. “Well then, you are all warmed up and ready to spare. Get to it agent” he states before walking out of the room. A take a breath and look at Maria “Ok, so where do you want to start?”

but then he’s like u never saw that THOT

and so you are forced into silence rip

10th grade:

lucas FINALLY gets his permit halfway through the year because he fuckinh forgot to do it last year and you’re TERRIFIED but it’s fine

you’re starting to look more like a female and less like a fetus congrats !!!!!

lucas has now grown to almost 6 feet tall what the FUCK BRO

he grew at least 6 inches over the summer and you don’t really notice until one day you’re like uhhh excuse me since when are you half a foot taller than me

11th grade:

ah, yes

the year of PARTYING

you always go to parties together and switch who’s dd each time

eventually more friends start coming with you so that you can both get drunk tho ayy

but for the first couple times it’s either drunk lucas half draped on you as you drag him home or sober lucas carrying your lightweight ass to the car

he’s a real one so he won’t say anything about the time you were really drunk and got separated from him so you stood on a table and screamed his name til he came and snatched you down lmao

lucas has reached full height as well so he’s like, so much bigger than you

also he’s gotten so much better at basketball and is practically the star of the team

you go to every game and cheer as loud as you can bc that’s your BOY

puberty is Complete for you and you look female and everything!!!! go off queen

lucas is now on Protective Mode since you’re really cute and a very agreeable drunk and under no circumstances will he allow you to be taken advantage of

I'm curious, why did you choose coding as a career? Did you like it from the start, or did it grew on you over time? I just heard it's really frustrating, but I imagine you like it, right? What do you like about coding? Sorry if it's too many questions it's just an area way out of my league XD

It pays good money lol.

I’m actually looking to lean more towards Project Management, which still pays really well, but requires less coding from me and puts my leadership training that I’ve done to good use lol. I’ll be graduating next May with a BA in Computer Science and a minor in Management of Information Systems.

I didn’t have coding in mind until literally my senior year of high school, I took AP computer science, with zero coding knowledge under my belt at the time lol. My dad’s actual a Computer Science major as well and works in the industry, so he’s helped me during that AP class and on other things as well. Obviously I have to do the work myself or I don’t learn and he’s good at asking the right questions to get me down the right thinking path lol.

I do enjoy coding, but I hate doing the school version of it. Many assignments, which do have reasons for being the way they are and are important, absolutely suck to do. My favorites (which also can be the most frustrating) are when we do games like Breakout or Battleship. Most assignments early on are fine, usually small, teaching you basics and stuff. But later on you find yourself literally writing an Excel like program (which I never got mine fully working heh…) and writing the filesystem commands to function as if you were using it normally on a Linux computer but you’re running a C program. (And that program can actually legit delete things and stuff? So like it is 100% important to know how to not delete things you want to keep, including the actual computer).

I’ve also been granted a lot of opportunities because of choosing coding. I went to the Grace Hopper Celebration for Women in Technology in 2016, all paid for by the school. It’s a huge conference which has about 15,000 attendees each year, hundreds of companies which you can talk to representatives about the company and do interviews, and tons of free junk lol (I have a pic of my collection lol). I’ve also attended my school’s Hackathon each year except this past one (something else was going on that weekend and I couldn’t) which I’ve won prizes at twice. My first year I was a finalist for the main coding competition (I think the guy I was working with and I placed 5th?) and the second I won a category which was implementing Amazon Web Services or tools in some way which I was using Amazon Lumberyard, which is a game development engine (Which was very hard to use btw, I think it’s gotten a bit better with more learning tools but Unity is way better with tutorials and learning materials).

It’s 100% frustrating, but google and my whiteboard are my besties, and talking with others about things helps a lot. It’s a very logical and methodical field but it also takes creativity to come up with the solution. And for all my complaining and whining about it I do still enjoy plenty of different aspects (though I’m never touching autopilot shit again after my senior project is over and not even gonna think about AI because that shit requires soooo much high level crazy math, I mean not that other things don’t require crazy math, but there’s easier crazy math and then there’s that).

My favorite classes have been about algorithm analysis. I have a professor I’ve taken three classes with (who sadly I can’t take any more because the next one is a grad student class and I don’t need that stress lol). I actually enjoy a lot of the theory, even if I’m uh… not knowledgeable about the math in some spots.

I’d love to end up in the game industry, more along the story telling side, but I’m gonna be taking a less direct route, I’ll either be an entry level coder or entry level project manager. It’s much easier to get into what you really want after you’ve gotten actually in.

And no worries! I’m always happy to answer things about coding, no matter how aggravating my own path has been, I fully believe in supporting anyone who wants to give it a shot. It’s an incredibly important field and becoming more and more important for people to know things about. It’s rocks being electrified and told this series of 0’s and 1’s means this lol. And I’d equate it to learning musical instruments, it’s another language you’re learning to read and write (well languages, but most languages follow some basic things and stuff so they can do most of the same things it’s just they have areas they specialize in).
