despite how tragic and heartbreaking the Captain's death was, at least he died while being comforted by the love of his life, with his hands held by him, almost confessing his love to him and receiving acknowledgement of that love. the Captain died knowing that the man he loved knew about his love. the Captain's last words were the name of the love of his life, and the last thing the Captain heard before dying was his own name coming from the lips of the man he loved. death is all it took for the Captain to finally find love, both from the man he loved in life, and from the family he found in death

saying goodbye
(cw: age gap 25/41; mndi, slight nsfw; angst, brief discussion of loss and fear of death)
the part before: comforting him
I wanted to do something nice for König before he goes on his next mission, before he has to leave. Which is quite the challenge to make it a surprise from him when you’re living together. Well, staying together, but it doesn’t change the fact that we spend most of our time with each other.
Another reason, why this doesn't feel like dating anymore. It doesn't feel like just being exclusive. It doesn't feel like a living arrangement because he broke my bed. Also, he seems to be doing better again, after the little downward spiral that plagued him at the end of last week. At the same time… I can't shake the feeling that he's a bit more closed off than he was before.
I sigh. He’ll leave in only two days and we agreed that I would go home tomorrow because, well… it can’t be postponed any longer.
I already knew he has to sort out some stuff today before being deployed, driving into the city, getting a medical check-up and also arranging the details for my new bed to finally be delivered. But this gives me the chance to pack up most of my stuff and prepare what I wanted to surprise him with while he is away for a few hours.
I went grocery shopping after work, got everything that the recipe called for, and started as soon I was back at his place. I cut so many onions for this, I’m all cried out, but I still can’t help the little lump sitting in the back of my throat, closing it up, which has nothing to do with the cut vegetables
He comes back earlier than I anticipated, mumbling something about an incompetent doctor and how he doesn’t like to have his blood drawn. But I shoo him out of his own kitchen with a few comforting words, tell him to sit in the living room and read something. And not disturb me.
“Aye-aye, Ma’am.”, he says, an amused smirk on his face as he jokingly salutes. I roll my eyes and laugh a little, patting his butt, to make him hurry along.
I still need to prepare the sidedish and let the stew cook for a little longer to make sure the meat is tender and the sauce is thick enough. At least that’s what the recipe said. And I need to make sure I do everything right.
When it’s finally done, the kitchen looks like somebody threw around food, although I did my best to clean up as I go.
I fill one of the soup dishes with the stew, putting the Nockerl in there as well, the dough already soaking up some of the sauce. I compare the dish in front of me with the picture from the recipe and I’m actually content with how it came out.
I set the plate down on the island where the seats are and call for König while I get myself a smaller portion. I hear his steps before his huge stature appears in the doorframe.
“Uh, dinner is ready.”, I say wryly smiling at him, with my plate in my hands. I set it down next to his.
“I can see that and I already smelled the cooking in the living room, it smells deli-“ The words gets stuck in his throat as he comes closer, stopping in front of the plate. He drops onto the seat, the furniture aching under his weight. The smile he was still wearing when he came into the kitchen has dissipated, his mouth hanging open, when he looks up from his plate, his eyes finding mine. He looks almost in shock.
I sit down next to him, suddenly very unsure if this whole ordeal even was a good idea.
“You cooked Gulasch?”, he asks, his voice wavering.
I nod. “Yes, I remember how you said that you liked it, so uh, I tried to make it.”
“But you’re vegetarian.”, he adds.
“Yes, but you aren’t. And the original recipe calls for beef.”, I explain, putting the doughy pillows that the Austrians call Nockerl onto my fork, scooping up some of the sauce. I just want to try a bit of, tasting a part of his origins.
He’s still staring as I put the fork into my mouth, and well, he didn’t promise too much when he was talking about his favourite food because that’s really delicious. Though I’m unsure about how authentic it is.
His gaze moves from me to the plate in front of him, finally picking up the fork, and he digs in, taking the biggest bite. I wait to see what his reaction would be like. He shovels two, three forkfuls into his mouth, chewing, tasting. And then suddenly just stops. Goes completely still. And I don’t know what’s going on as his head drops forward, his hair hanging in front of his face.
A small silent sob shakes his chest and a stray tear falls from his face into the stew. My heart drops to my feet. Fuck.
“We don’t need to eat it, if it’s no good.”, I say lightly, trying not to let it affect me. When I go to grab his plate, his head whips in my direction, and I finally get a good look at his face.
“What, no?! I-“ He takes a deep breath, his hand wiping over his eyes quickly, like the tear was never there. “This is the nicest thing somebody has done for me in a long time.”, he finally says. “And it reminds me of my Oma.” A deep sigh shakes his tall frame. “So, thank you, okay? It’s delicious.” He takes my hands, softly pulling them towards him, pressing a kiss on each palm.
The sadness in his eyes isn’t completely gone when I look into them, and I didn’t anticipate that this simple gesture of cooking him his favourite meal would have him in shambles like that. But the smile that turns up the corners of his mouth is a warm one, thankful and happy.
“You’re welcome.”, I simply tell him. “I’m glad you like it.” I press my lips to his, reassuring the big giant that it was okay, without saying it out loud.
When I pull back, he lingers, his hand shooting up to the back of my head, stealing another kiss. Long, deep and oh so soft. Another “thank you”, without saying it out loud.
“What was your Oma like?”, I ask him, taking a forkful of my sauced-up Nockerl. He talked about her before, but it might keep me from tearing up as well.
The smile on his face gets wider and he starts to tell stories about her. Leaving the other people in his family out of it, for the most part.
How she always asked him to get the stuff from the upper shelves because he was already taller than her at age 12. How he sat in the kitchen doing his homework while she cooked. How she stopped pestering him about going to church on Sunday eventually, but still almost smacked him in his head when he turned the cross in the living room upside down as a joke. How she cried when he joined the military because that was the last thing she wished for him. How she still let him go and how he had to promise her to come back – or else. How he helped her in the garden every time he came home and kept doing that well into his 30s. And how he nearly missed her funeral because he almost couldn’t get permission to leave for a few days.
König takes seconds and even thirds, eating almost all of the Gulasch I cooked. I’m already done sitting over my empty plate, listening to him talk, getting us something to drink. When he is done as well, he grabs the plates to wash up, not letting me help in any way, because “Oh no, you already cooked and everything”. He tells me to pick out a movie I’d like to watch, the glint in his eyes telling me that it’s probably going to get cut short again, so I put on Pulp Fiction, a movie we both have watched countless times before.
He laughs as he comes into the living room with a beer in his hand and sees my choice on the flatscreen, taking a seat at the couch and I hop onto his lap when his ass barely touched the cushions. We’re entangled, as close as you can be. And it doesn’t take long for his hands to wander. Squeeze, caress, stroke over my body. Teasing me with soft kisses against my neck until a heavy sigh leaves my lips. He takes that as an invitation to finally take me to the bedroom where he lies me down on the mattress to eat me out, while he kneels on the floor. Messy, sloppy licks and nibbles, his fingers methodically filling me until I cum for him, my thighs pressing together around his head.
He crawls over me, pushing into me with his dick, after teasing my clit some more with his tip, the piercing deliciously pressing into the sensitive nub.
Slow and sweet doesn’t mean less intense, the soft stretch with every sensual roll of his hips sending sensations over my body, making me pant and throw my head back with pleasure.
His hand on my chin compelling me look at him while he is fucking me like this… until it doesn’t feel like just fucking anymore. When I come again, this time around his dick, it feels like a soft wave washing over me, his name on my lips, and he doesn’t stop pushing into me, prolonging my orgasm and chasing his own until he spills inside me.
He presses kisses to my cheek, pulling me into him, and we snuggle up against each other to fall asleep. My back is against his front, the heat of his body warming me, that I don’t even need a blanket. Feeling the comfort of his embrace a little more clearly than usual.
And the realisation hits me that he is going to leave. And I’m gonna go back home, to my apartment. No more König when I come home from work. No shared meals in the kitchen, no sitting in his lap on the couch. No laughing fits in the middle of the night when one of us says something so stupid that the other can’t comprehend. No filthy sex and tender kisses. No calling him “old man” to get a rise out of him. No dirty punishment for my bratty ass. No feeling him inside me, his brows turned up, his eyes rolling back in ecstatic expression as he comes. None of it, at least for some time.
I push those thoughts away, pulling his arms tighter around me as if I could keep him like this. I close my eyes, ignoring the one stray tear that rolls down my cheek, and drift off into sleep.
And with this the day I have been dreading the whole week is finally here. The day when I return to my own apartment after staying with him for weeks. I even took a day off of work for this.
I’m trying not to let it show too much, because it’s a bit stupid. This living arrangement always was meant to be temporary and I always knew he was on leave, needing to go back to his work at some point sooner or later. But now that it’s here… I kinda don’t want it to happen at all.
The coffee tastes a little bitter as I sip it, even though he added just as much milk as usual, with the typical joking disgust while diluting the tasty elixir, that always makes me chuckle and shake my head.
The sunlight streaming through the big windows in the living room blinds me as it reflects off the shiny couch upholstery when I go to collect Mimi from her spot, putting her in the cat carrier.
The book I finished reading on the weekend gets caught when I push it into its place on the shelf, some of the pages creasing. I curse, showing König and apologizing. He takes the book from my grasp, straightening out the crinkles, and puts it back. “Don’t worry, Liebes, it’s just a book.”, he says, his arm coming around me as he pulls me against his warm body and presses a kiss to the top of my head.
I get the rest of my stuff, seeing that one of my yarn balls has tangled into a net of knots, and I curse again. Of course, it did. I put my crochet bag into one of the boxes and carry it outside.
With a sigh I look back over my shoulder one last time and close the door behind me, placing my stuff in the trunk and climbing into the driver’s seat of my own car. Starting it and driving after him, and it’s weird not to sit right next to him in his car.
It’s weird being home again. Letting Mimi out of her carrier, the little kitty running around, brushing against his legs. And he picks her up, carrying her around, just like they always do. The small creature is purring against his chest as he shimmies her around, humming some tune I can't place.
It’s weird standing here in my apartment with him, waiting for the bed to be delivered. I can feel my bubbly yapping coming back, not being able to shut up, and König is listening like he always does. Short, one-worded answers while his hand is petting Mimi, scratching between her ears and under her chin.
The doorbell ringing tears us from our conversation. The delivery guys are handing the packages over, asking if they should help bring them in, but König declines, giving them a tip and sending them their way.
I’m not as easily deterred from trying to help with the packages, although König is carrying most of them, barely breaking a sweat, while I struggle with the smallest one.
Sitting on the bedroom floor, his tall figure still reaching up to my hips before I get down next to him. He’s glancing at the instructions, squeezing his eyes together, but I can tell he’s having a hard time seeing the illustrations of the steps correctly.
And of course he is too stubborn to ask for help. I grin to myself and shake my head. “Forgot your glasses?”, I ask him, already knowing the answer.
“Yeah.”, he says wryly, and I extend my hand, suggesting silently he’ll hand over the instructions and he does, with a sigh and a little smile.
While I’m still studying the instructions, he’s laying out the pieces and already putting the first parts together. Of course, he is choosing the hands-on approach, even with stuff like that, figuring it out as he moves along, and I chime in with a few comments here and there, guiding the construction.
His long hair is getting in the way and I lend him a hair tie, and I don’t think I’ll ever manage to get over how meticulous he puts his hair in a ponytail. I mean, he probably has done that same move for years, his hands collecting all the stray strands, the band snapping around them with two quick motions and then it just sits perfectly at the back of his head.
We spent so much time together and I realise that I’ve never seen him do that. The whole time he was always wearing his hair down, some strands hanging in front of his face. Sometimes he put them into a lose bun when he was working out, but never like this.
“What?”, he asks me, a hint of uncertainty on his face.
I shake my head. “Nothing, your hair looks good like that.”, I say, clearing my voice when it dares to break off, but I save it with a smile which gets mirrored by his, and I can’t help but put a kiss onto it while a pang of something spreads in my chest. I feel like I know him so well, and yet I keep learning parts of him I’ve never seen before.
“Come on, Hexe.”, he says when I linger, prolonging the kiss, caught in my thoughts, his hand patting my hip which makes me giggle a bit, but I can't shake the feeling that's settling in my stomach. Fuck, he's gonna leave.
Pretty quickly we construct the bed, it’s easy enough, especially when you’re following the instructions – a sentiment I say out loud after he managed to stick two pieces together who fit, but actually belong like that. He just grins and pulls them apart easily, his muscles flexing for just a moment.
“Show-off.”, I say, sticking my tongue out at him.
Finally, the frame is done, the slats already fitted into it and last but not least, we hoist the mattress onto them.
“You didn’t need to buy me a new one, you know.”
He shoots me a look. A knowing one.
“Really, it was fine. The old one would have sufficed.”
“I have slept on that mattress. You needed a new one.”
“Oh, that's just your old bones.”, I quip, and I know how ridiculous I must sound telling that to a soldier who can probably sleep anytime anywhere.
He pinches my nose. “You're not getting younger yourself, Missy.”, he answers. "Your back will be thankful."
“Yeah, yeah.”, I say grinning and bump my hip against his, rather hitting the burly thigh, before getting some bedsheets.
The fresh sheets match the nice dark wood of the bedframe, the bed now looking so much nicer than the rest of my furniture pieces.
“Thanks. For the new bed.”, I tell him, smiling up at him, getting on my tiptoes.
“No need to thank me, Liebes.”, he answers, leaning down and meeting me halfway for a kiss. “It was my fault you needed a new one in the first place.”, a wry grin accompanying his words.
“Well, this looks much sturdier like the one I had before.” I tap the wooden frame, a hollow knock resounding.
“Well, I needed to make sure that it wouldn’t break that easily again.”, he says, smiling down at me, a twinkle in his eyes. A reminder of how we broke it in the first place.
“Care to test that theory?”, I ask him cheekily, although I’m not really in the mood right now. My heart is way too heavy.
Before I can say anything else, he grabs me by the waist and lifts me up on the bed, the mattress dipping down under my weight. His hands are steadying me when I start to jump up and down, bouncing on it. Damn, it’s really nice. And I don't dare to ask how much he spent on it.
“Sturdy enough, you think?”, he asks me.
I nod. “You wanna come up here too?”, I tease him.
He shakes his head, just grinning, following my movements up and down with his eyes.
“Oh come on!”, I exclaim, not ready to stop this sillyness.
He pulls up his eyebrows. “I don’t think that would be wise, we don’t need to push it.”, he grins, when all of a sudden, there’s a faint cracking sound, and I stop, almost toppling over trying to hold my balance on the wobbling mattress.
“Point and case.”, he remarks as his arms coming around my waist as he lifts me off the bed.
“Okay, okay…”
I hold onto him like a little spider monkey, my legs closing around him, my cheek pressing against his shoulder as I nuzzle my face into the crook of his neck. Like I could keep him here like that. Or he’ll just take me with him when I stick to him like a limpet. Maybe I’m small enough to fit into his pocket.
My fingers get caught in his hair as I try to run them through it like I always do, and he pulls the hair tie from them, putting it away, letting me play with the long strands, as he goes to sit down.
The couch in my apartment is way smaller than his, his frame fills the cushions easily, so I have nowhere else to sit but his lap. Like I would have sat anywhere else. Trying to be as close to him as possible.
We’re not saying anything, just sitting here. My head rests against his shoulder, his scent all around me. I can hear his heart beat, feel it beneath my fingertips resting on his chest. Steady and strong, but a little too fast.
His hands are gently caressing my thighs and back, and even though I feel the sadness seep into me, the soft touches ground me.
We sit in silence for what seems eternity while at the same time lasting barely more than the blink of an eye. And I wish we could remain in this moment, frozen in time, but well.
He sighs softly, the deep sound pulling me from my thoughts, and I lift my head, to look at him.
“We need to say goodbye.” He slumps back, his shoulders hitting the backrest. “I wish I didn’t need to go.”, he exhales. Saying what I was thinking.
"Don't worry, I'll still be here when you're on leave again.", I tell him, softly kissing his cheek. He turns to me, the expression on his face serious and... a bit sad.
"But you shouldn't be.", he says, calm and steady.
"But-", I want to protest.
He shakes his head. "No, you should be with somebody your age, someone who can give you stability." He sighs. "Someone who can guarantee you that they'll come back to you. Every time they leave."
And the realisation hits me. He isn't saying goodbye for now. He's saying goodbye for good.
“I see.”, is all I manage because my feelings come crashing down over me with a vicious fervor. I thought I was going to have to deal with him leaving for weeks or months. With him being gone for a while. Not with a breakup.
“I’m sorry.”, he apologizes and starts to explain. “I never meant for this to go this far or… this deep.” The admission in his words makes my stomach flip upside down. I actually feel a little nauseous as my hands grip my own thighs, trying to hold onto something. “And I should’ve maybe said something earlier.” He swallows hard.
“The truth is that I had the best time this leave, and that was solely because of you.” He finally looks at me again, the raw emotions in his eyes almost scaring me. But the resolve in them is clear as well. “I couldn’t get myself to break it off. But I can’t make you wait for me either. Because I can’t even promise you that I will return.” His voice is shaking now and seeing him like this makes my lower lip tremble as I just try to breathe.
“And I can’t do that to you. The thought of you waiting for me at home and only a casket coming back… has been killing me inside these past few days.” The words come out choked and I can’t look at him anymore, my head snapping to the side as that image fills my mind. “Fuck, I’m really sorry, okay?”
We sit here like this for a moment longer. His hands stopped caressing my thighs and back, and I want to scream. The cold feeling of loss grips my heart, a viciously clawed hand leaving gaping wounds as it was making its way up my chest. He’s still sitting underneath me, but I feel like he’s already gone.
“I get it.”, I finally say, my voice trembling and hoarse. Still not able to look at him because I wouldn’t have been able to hold back my tears.
“I knew you would.”, he says, the words breaking up as he speaks. And I think back to when he told me that he couldn’t have a partner or family because his job won’t allow it. And I finally get why he thinks like that. At least I guess so. The big house devoid of any life but him, his own little safe haven, and I only now understand how temporary this whole arrangement really had been. I just didn’t see it. Maybe because I didn’t want to.
While I still try to process everything, he lifts me up and sets me down on the cushions of the couch. Like he did countless times the last few weeks. In his living room. And a sob tears from my chest because the gesture reminds me of so many tender and filthy moments at the same time. I hug my knees, pulling them close to me, already missing the warmth of his body. But that’s the way it is now, I guess.
He crouches down, coming face to face with me, and it just hurts to look at him. The bandshirt he bought for the concert we went to together. The tattoos on his knuckles, straining from the tension in his balled-up fists. The long dark hair, pushed to the side, falling back down his shoulder. I don’t need to touch it, to know how soft it feels. The mouth that smiled at me so often. The lips I have kissed countless times and that have kissed every inch of my body. The furrowed brows. The slack expression on his face concealing the laughlines. And for the first time since I’ve known him looking into his eyes doesn’t give me comfort.
He carefully takes my chin, the pads of his fingertips rough against the skin, softly digging into my jaw, like he likes – liked to do. He leans forward pressing a kiss to my lips which almost makes the tears drop from my eyes. A kiss to say goodbye, gentle and bittersweet.
"Stay safe, okay?", he whispers, his eyes looking intently into mine, but I can only nod. My throat is closed up because I know he won't be safe. Not saying anything because I don't want to cry in front of him. Because that will only make it harder, on both of us.
He straightens back up and leaves. The door falls shut behind him.
And I finally let the waterworks flow, sobs shaking my chest as I throw myself into the couch where he sat just a few moments ago.
Mimi’s meow pulls me from my crying fit when she jumps up onto the couch, her little head bumping into me, and I pull her against my chest, the tears rolling down my cheeks. And the odd thought crosses my mind if the crinkles in the book on his shelf are the only remainders of me in his house. While I have this new bed.
How did we get here? Masterlist

“Where am I staying?” You asked, eyes drilling into Captain Price. You were straightforward, not letting shit get in the way of your words. You stood in the meeting room with the captain, otherwise alone. You were, in all honesty, urgent to leave. The man worried that the other operators wouldn’t take much of a liking to you. They would have to figure that out for themselves, he figured.
“I’ll call someone to bring you there.” He said, reaching his hand up to his radio and pressing the button, mumbling a few words into the microphone. You didn’t bother listening, it was nothing important, after all. The only words you really cared for was who he called: Soap. Odd name, you thought.
You had to wait a frustratingly long time for the man to come. After a few minutes of waiting, standing around and doing nothing, a knock finally rang through the room and Price opened the door. A young man with a mohawk greeted you, grinning cheerfully.
“Bring Sergeant (l/n) to his room.” Price ordered, ‘Soap’ saluting playfully before sauntering off with you in tow. Another call sounded out from behind you. “It’s room 138!”
The man greeted you playfully with a pat on the shoulder. You just brushed his hand off. He hardly seemed to be fazed, quickly starting up conversation.
“Damn, you get a room all to yourself, lucky bastard.” He laughed, snickering to himself for a moment. He spoke with a heavy Scottish accent. “What, are you like Ghost? Too brooding to hang out with the rest of us?”
You scoffed, turning away from the man.  Much to your torment, he never stopped blabbering.
“Well, you’re right across from him. Expect to be seeing him a lot. Maybe you brooding types will get along, who knows?”
All you could do was sigh, stuffing your hands in your pockets as you continued the walk. After what felt like hours of listening to the Scot talk your ear off, he finally stopped at a door with the number 138 above it. This one must be yours.
"Well, this is it. I have the key, here." The man said, passing you a ring with a single key. It was a boring, silver key, and you took it. You slipped it into the keyhole and twisted, hearing the lock pull back.
You pushed the door open, revealing the barren room. It was a typical military issue, minus the other people. Price must've decided to let you room alone because of 'The Incident'. That was lucky. You didn't want him finding out about your nightmares.
You weren't a huge fan of being alone, though. That was the only issue. It reminded you of all those hours you spent, chained up, alone. Soap must've noticed your change of mood, and slapped your back, making you jump a bit. It worked to snap you out of your memories.
"You get a room all on your own and you're still grumpy?" The man asks teasingly, making you turn back to glare at him. It didn't do much, you were a fair bit shorter than him. In fact, he seemed to find it funny, muffling a chuckle. You turned around, rolling your eyes as you stepped into the room. You had no choice but to accept it. It was still better than having a shared room.
You shoved the key into your pocket, picking up the heavy duffel bag that rested at your feet and dragging it into the room with you. You shoved it under the bed, not bothering unpacking until later, and pulled off your sweater. It felt suffocating, but you didn’t want your scars showing to everyone. When you turned back to look at Soap, he was standing in the doorway – leaning against the doorway – and smirking at you. You scowled, walking over to him in just your t-shirt. Even though you were short, you were fit.
“Well, if there’s nothing else you need, feel free to leave.” You said harshly, forcefully, positioning your hand on the edge of the door as if to close it. You looked the man in the eyes as his face contorted dramatically.
“I’ll be going, then. Let you unpack. Canteens just down the hall, dinner’s served at 6 o’clock sharp.” He said, promptly turning around to leave as you chuckled and turned your own back to him as well. You flicked your wrist up, checking the miniature watch displayed there and read its hands. ‘4:28PM’, it read. You had a couple hours until dinner, so there was nothing better to do than destress with one of the punching bags.
You slipped off the baggy t-shirt you were wearing, zipping open your duffel bag and grabbing a compressing long sleeved shirt. You pulled it over your head, slipping your arms into the sleeves and adjusting it around your waist until it was comfortable. You slipped on a more comfortable pair of pants over the hem of the shirt and made you way out of your room.
You’d used to feel a bit exposed wearing only the compression shirts, but now they brought you a familiar sense of comfort. You were used to them, and what you usually worked out in because of all the scarring on your arms. You remembered where the gym was from your walk to the meeting room, and you made your way there. There were a few wrong turns, but you quickly realized you were going the wrong way and righted your course quickly.
After a few minutes of walking, you arrived at the gym. There was a large glass door leading to an equally large inside. There were already a few people in there, but you were hardly surprised as you made your way through the door. You could feel eyes on your back as you walked to the row of punching bags at the back. Everybody was surprised to see a new face, and someone so short as well. You could almost swear you heard a few whistles, but you paid no mind to it.
You saw a bench and sat down, grabbing the bandage that you’d slipped into your pocket earlier and wrapping your knuckles. You went between each of your fingers before you were done. You wrapped both hands quickly – it was a movement you were very familiar with – before standing up and walking before one of the punching bags. They were the classic red and black ones, and you brought your fists in front of your face.
You puffed out a breath of air before you started attacking the heavy bag. Your punches were swift, but packed a heavy punch. The onlookers you had were surprised by your strength. To you, it was just a familiar set of motions. Jab, uppercut, shuffle left, hook, shuffle right,  cross. There was sweat forming on your brow, pain gathering in your legs as you moved. You didn’t have any idea how long you’d been going at it when you finally stopped, but it seemed like all of the eyes were off you.
You walked back to the bench, taking a seat and letting you head fall back. You took heavy breaths, squinting as sweat dripped into your eyes. Shit. You had forgotten to bring a water bottle. You huffed out a forceful sigh, furrowing your brow as you leaned forward to rest your elbows on your knees. That was annoying.
You remained seated for another few minutes, letting yourself catch your breath and making a mental record of what openings you had left exposed during your ‘fight’. Really, having a sparring partner would be best, but you didn’t exactly want to figure all that out on your first day on the task force. You stood back up, flicking your hands to your sides and running them through your hair as you once again stood in front of the punching bag.
You moved into your stance. Legs apart, weight in the middle, arms protecting your face. You let yourself fall into a focus, visualizing the men from that day. You saw their faces, a deep scar gouged in one of their cheeks. You picked the one with the scar. That day, he had been holding you back. He was the one who dislocated both your shoulders. You felt anger well up in the pit of your stomach.
He had blue eyes and dirty blond hair. Looked like he hadn’t washed in days. There was some stubble on his chin, but not much. You could see the scar gouged deep into his right cheek. You wished you’d been the one to put it there. You pushed out a breath of air, imagining the man match your stance.
And in one, sudden movement, your rushed forward and jabbed him in the face. It almost seemed like he was real as he dodged your attack and rushed forward, going in for a punch of his own. You stepped to the side, avoiding his fist by a hair and sending a hook straight into his temple. You could almost see him stumble back, clutching his head as he recovered slightly. You rushed forward again, quick on your feet, and sent your knee right into his stomach.
You snapped out of your imagination when the punching bag swung right back at you, making you leap back as you gulped in a big breath of air. You felt more eyes on your back, but you just grimaced and shook your head. You needed to get better. You couldn’t fall behind.
You leaped back at the punching bag, throwing a tight fist into its center. You grunted, jabbing again before shuffling to the side. As you stepped to your left, your sneaker squeaked on the tiled floor and you tripped, falling on your side as you clenched your teeth. You heard a few chuckles, but just took a deep breath and pushed yourself back up. You slowly walked back to the bench where you’d left your stuff and sat down on it, really regretting not bringing a water bottle along with you.
You were done with training, especially if you didn’t have a bottle. You started unwrapping your hands, taking in the gym again. There wasn’t really anybody notable. It all seemed relatively mediocre. Most people were lifting weights, using the strength machines. You were still mindlessly unwrapping the bandages from your hands, letting your muscles take control of the task as your mind wandered.
Eventually, though, your eyes landed on the form of a large man. He was on the other side of the gym, and you couldn’t see him very well, but he was at the front of a group of what must’ve been trainees.  He was odd, the only one wearing a mask in the entire gym. Most soldiers were scarred all over, so they felt fine showing their scars around other soldiers. You were, well, a little different, but you still had the decency to show your face.
You just scoffed, shaking you head as you begin to roll the bandage back into a neat little roll before stuffing it in your pocket. You flicked your wrist, sweeping a hand through your hair before checking your watch to read the time. ‘4:53PM’. Still a while before dinner was served. You were gonna shower, you weren’t heading to the canteen all sweaty, but you didn’t know how you planned to kill a whole hour.
You sighed, decided to figure it out later. You checked around you a final time before standing up, making your way back out of the gym. You looked back at the man with the mask one more time, frowning as you watched it move as he spoke. You couldn’t quite make out what he was saying over the noise of the gym, but he seemed focused. He seemed cocky. You already didn’t like him.
Now knowing the way back to your room, you were notable faster on the walk back. This time, you didn’t take any wrong turns, no dead ends. It was straightforward and much better than the first walk to the gym. You returned to your room, slotting the key into the keyhole and pushed opened the door. You stepped into your room, taking a breath. It smelled of sanitizer, and you just chuckled to yourself as you shook your head.
You stripped your sweaty shirt, throwing it somewhere on the floor as you made your way to the bathroom door and pushed it open. You clicked the lights on, turned on the fan and pulled your pants off. You placed your discarded clothes neatly on the toilet seat before stepping into the miniscule shower and turning the stream of water on. You flinched as the cold water hit your skin, but you immediately started scrubbing away with the shitty military issue soap.
You grimaced as you scrubbed at your skin, feeling like it was scratching you raw. The soap had always been gritty and uncomfortable, but it was that or not showering. You didn’t take long in the shower, making a point to keep it as short as you could. You stepped back out of the stall and grabbed the towel hung on the wall. You did what you could to dry off your hair before wrapping it around your waist and opening the bathroom door back into the main area of your room.
You lazily grabbed a set of clean clothes from the duffel under your bed and slipped them on. Cursing, you realized the shirt you’d picked was a short sleeve. You pulled the bag out from under your bed, lifting it up to search better until you found the makeshift sleeves you’d cut off from a different shirt. You slipped them up your arms, making sure your scars were covered well enough, smiling when you looked at yourself in the mirror. You didn’t look too much like a monster, and that was enough for you.
You looked at your wrist once again, reading the time. ‘5:04PM’ it read, and you cursed. You still had basically an hour to kill, and you didn’t really want to spend all that time on introductions. Especially not if that asshole in the mask was there. You reckoned that he must’ve been of a relatively high rank if he was training rookies. Still a shitty job, though, and you laughed with pity. You’d had a friend who always complained about that.
You frowned, sitting back on your bed as the thought brought up memories. In your time together, Tommy talked a lot about his brother. Joseph looked up to him a lot. You’d thought that Simon was a good man until ‘The Incident’. Thought he cared ‘till he got Tommy and Beth and little Joseph caught up in his shit. You cursed bitterly, letting your head fall into your hand as your face contorted to one of anger.
The man had been declared dead, but you knew it was bullshit. He killed every target, and now the only one left was him. You swore, even if it was the last thing you did, that bastard was going to die at your hands. You could feel the sting of tears welling in your eyes and you sniffed sharply, blinking to get them away. It took a lot of self control to reign in your thoughts about the man. Simon Riley. You scoffed. You remembered the article you’d been shown when you were hostage. You knew he didn’t kill them, you were there after all, but he was the one to doom them to that fate.
You could feel the bile rising up your throat, and you rushed to the bathroom, letting you head hang over the bowl as you let the contents slosh up and out. You spat and spat, trying to get the vile taste out of your mouth. You felt like shit. Thinking ‘bout the Rileys, about Beth, and Tommy, and your nephew Joseph, it always made you feel vile. Made you think about what those bastards did to you, and that was never fun.
You spat one more time into the toilet bowl, scratching through the sleeves at the scars which decorated your arms. The pain always helped distract you, but the military didn’t let you keep your nails long enough to make it hurt. You forced yourself back up off your knees, propping yourself up against the wall as you righted yourself, pushing out of the bathroom. That shit took a lot out of you.
You checked your watch again, seeing the time creep slowly forward. ‘5:43PM’. You were closer, now it was only 20 minutes away. You tried to stay off your phone, but you decided that there was no harm pulling out to kill the time every so often. There wasn’t much, you followed very few people on Instagram, after all. You ended up clicking on Youtube, finding something mindless and distracting to get your memories out of your head.
Before you knew it, it was time to make your way to the canteen. You knew where it was, it was only a little bit before the gym on your walk to the meeting room, so the way there was easy. You double checked your appearance in the mirror, making sure your eyes weren’t red and that you had no more vomit clinging to your lips. You made your way out the door, walking through the corridors and trying not to let the bright fluorescents irritate your eyes.
You quickly made your way to the canteen, finding Price sitting at a table at the back with a few others. You noticed Soap, and felt a little better until you saw the bastard in the skull mask. Soap was chatting on cheerily about something to the table when Price noticed you hesitating in the doorway and gestured you over. You sucked your teeth and bit the bullet, taking slow steps to the table. You could feel their eyes on you and you didn’t like it.
You nodded stiffly to Price, ignoring all the others at the table. You didn’t really want to talk to ‘Skull Mask’, as you decided to call him for now.
“(l/n), I’d like to introduce you to the team.” The older man said, making you furrow your brows slightly. You nodded anyways, still refusing to speak a word. Sighing at your silence, the captain continued. “You already know Sgt. John MacTavish, or Soap. That’s Gaz,” he said, pointing to a black man wearing a baseball cap. Finally, he pointed to the bastard in the mask.
“And that’s Ghost, your new Lieutenant.”

Cold hands, Warm Heart
Ghost Fred X Reader
You wouldn’t say you and Fred weren’t the closest, but to say his death didn’t bother you was an understatement. You never got a chance to correct your feelings, and it’s left you hollow. You figured George still deserved to be checked on, as well. He lost his twin after all. Little did you know, someone was praying you would show your face around the shop again.
Warnings: Hurt/Comfort, Talks About Death, implied suicidal tendencies, it is a fluffy fic don’t worry.

“Georgie-!” You would beam, as George would turn around. It took you a few shouts, but he finally heard you. As if you could sue him. He’s missing an ear, in a busy shop like WWW. The fact he heard you, at ALL, was a blessing from Merlin himself. Oh how it was so vivid, and lively. Despite the war, there was so much love and life still. Fred would be proud. You knew he would be.
“How are you-?” You asked, as you rubbed his arm. Trying to test the waters carefully. Wizard twins aren’t the same as muggle twins, after all. You wanted to see where his head was. He’s your friend, after all. A friend that has seen so much, so young. How it hurt your heart to see the age in his face.
“Could be worse….Could be better.” He would admit to you, as you patted his cheek. You wondered who was more hurt by the passing, sometimes. Some days you were kept up at night. Wondering if you said anything, admit your feelings, that things could have been different. It’s haunting, and you tried to push it back.
“Hey, no long faces here. Go and run around. Be a kid again, and all that jazz.” He would quickly call you out, able to read you like a book. You would give a huff, as the taller man ruffled your hair. Those damn Weasleys. Maybe running around the shop would be nice. See what new products he’s come up with.
Up the stairs you went. Enjoying the beautiful sounds, and wonderful colors. How the world was just in this bubble of warmth. You wondered how George was able to keep up such a healthy environment, while being all on his own. Those two couldn’t be separated. Suppose death just wanted to prove that they could.
Once you found an interesting floor, you began to look around. It was up on the higher levels, so you were able to have a bit of privacy. Let you think a bit, as you would hold a potion in your fingers. Such fond memories filled your heart, as you recalled the origins of the product. Oh you swore you would never forgive Fred for sneaking this in your cup. Fred…..
“You REALLY want that? Damn, thought I knew you better than that.” You heard behind you, making your eyes roll. “Har Har. Maybe I’m feeling nostalgic.” You defended back, before placing it on the shelf. You tsked, and turned. Your brow was raised, as you were met with no one behind you. You swore you heard George, clear as day, behind you.
Maybe he was being playful. Apparition and all that, but you didn’t hear the familiar whip crack it echoed. Did he just change the sound? If anyone could, it’ll be a Weasley twin. You brushed it off, as you kept walking. Maybe he just had to snap back downstairs, given he’s the only CEO here again.
Over the railing you looked, as you admired the floors below you. Such as that familiar ginger tending to the kids. Showing them some muggle trinkets, and seeming to still be kicking. That was comforting, until you heard something that made your blood run cold.
“Welcome to the nosebleed seats. Never thought the shop could get this high.” You heard behind you, while your eyes were still glued on George. That’s impossible. George was right in front of your eyes, yet you clearly heard him behind you. Your body felt utterly frightened, and you were drawing your wand. With a spin, your soul wanted to leave your body. Just like how his did the same.
It was Fred. Right there, but not in the flesh. In a mimic of his living twins attire, but in shades of transparent blue. That same hair cut, smile, and eyes. Just in shades of that deathly blue hue. All the same, if not for keeping his ear. He was right there, and your brain was trying so hard to process it. Seems it wasn’t the first time, as the ghost shrugged.
“You really think I would leave George behind that easy? Thought you knew me better than that. I am so hurt.” He gasped, as he placed his hand over his heart. Ever playful, even in the grave. As if you could really register that, as your eyes were watering from the realization. Not the first time for him, as he opened his arms.
“Come on. I’ve gotten this ghost thing down, thanks to Peeves. Bring it in.” He ordered, and you did. You hugged him, with your wand clattering to the ground. It was a strange feeling, as you held him. It was like hugging silk. It was so cold, soft, light. As if embracing a cloud. How those cold fingers would stroke through your hair, and chill you to your core. You don’t know how long you were like this. You just had to cry it out. As if he would rush you. Maybe you were imagining things, but you swore you felt something cold drip onto your head. Fading through, as if just whispering into reality. Just for a moment.
“I know. I know.” He hushed, as he kept playing with your hair, while George got worried on your whereabouts. Having expected you to come see him again. That was the only man to ever make you want to separate from the grips of deaths fingers. The sound of his foot steps were on deaf ears, ironically enough, as you never wanted to let Fred go again.
“If you hug him any tighter, you’ll be dragged to the grave next-!” George snorted, as he found where you were. “About time you saw him. He was begging me to invite you over some time. ‘Oh please George. I miss em so much-! Oh I miss em!’ And ugh-! Out of all the things to wail about-!” He complained, before the dead twin was quick to let go. Now smacking his younger twin on the back of the head.
You couldn’t help your laughter, as you wiped your tears away. You should have known better. Of course Fred would haunt the shop. What were you thinking? You laughed, as George kept hanging Fred’s dirty laundry about you. Suppose the feelings had been more mutual than you thought.
“Is that what will make you move on? Finally getting laid by your childhood crush?” George asked, before things were suddenly flying after him. A very flustered, and angry, ghost isn’t the safest thing to deal with. “OK IM LEAVING IM LEAVING-!” George shrieked, as he quickly ran down the stairs. Leaving you both alone, mostly.
“I’ve never dated a ghost before….I guess there’s a first time for everything.” You tried to be playful, or else you’ll cry all over again. Suppose those were the right words, as it calmed down that angry ghost. Maybe even made him blush, but the dead don’t really have a heart beat to work with. Maybe it was your imagination.
“I mean, us Weasley twins do like to experiment.” Fred tried to play it cool, by resting his hand on a shelf. Leaning on it, like he always did in school. Course, he ended up just phasing through it. Now falling through the stock, and down through a floor. He quickly flew back up, and brushed himself off. “You didn’t see shit-“ He warned, as you giggled.
You wondered how long the feelings were returned, and if he had similar thoughts. Did he regret never telling you, before he died? Were you one of the people keeping him from moving on? Did he think about you, in his final moments? You had so many questions, but you settled on just one. For now, anyway.
How does one, as they say, Smooch A Ghost-?

It was midnight.
When I was born, that is.
Of course I couldn't remember it, and I bet mother lied that she could just so she didn't look like an entirely awful parent. She recited the fact it was the most beautiful day of her life because she overheard women in crowded markets say that to their little five-year-old sons, but little five-year-old me still thought I was special. Apparently, I was a handful, and nothing had changed since.
I soon realized she mixed this beautiful day up with the day my father left her, which was only a week before. They'd argued: bottles smashed, tremors, pleading, front door slammed. She shut doors with special caution for eighteen years after that, nudging them slowly as they creaked one, two, three times into the doorframe whilst gently twisting the doorknob into place as if she were waiting for someone to knock again, letting them know she'd kept the door open for so long but would still let them slip through.
I never found out what they argued about. Me, probably. The smartest thing mother ever did was never tell me.
When I was six, seven, eight, nine, and ten, I'd gotten used to taking care of my mother, tipping water down her throat, carefully, both hands, the way I should've been practising on a doll. I used to go out and spend hours in parks with kids who didn't care about me just to come home to find her scattered on the living room floor. I didn't understand. Was I meant to? Mummy, why are you sleeping on the floor? Why were you sick? It smells of vomit in here, wake up—
I didn't go out very much after that.
But school and friends peeled me away from it. It was both terrifying and refreshing. The only thing was that nobody's parents were like mine—theirs were together. Proud. But I couldn't tell if they were happy. A slice of me well-kept in the ragged pocket in my chest hoped they weren't. It was selfish of me and I knew it but each time I watched someone's parents give their child a gentle smile or pat on the back, I felt like crying my ribs sore.
'Someday, Kazuha, someday,' you often rubbed my back soothingly when it happened.
Someday, I would echo silently, and like someone descending into anesthesia, I began to count backwards.
'Why do you like winters?', Kazuha had questioned you once, a few months ago, playing around with a leaf in his hand. You couldn't help but look up from your book, only to find him resting against the tree, pondering something deeply.
You stared at him for a bit, at his serene beauty that seemed to be enhanced by the sun's dying rays as they shone over him, before going right back to your book. You shrugged, 'No deep reasons, I just like daffodils I guess.'
'And why do you like daffodils?'
You huffed, irritated but affectionate in the gesture, nonetheless. It was a certain difficulty about Kazuha that made him all the more endearing— but his own habit of over-romanticizing everything never quite appealed to you, nor could you understand where it came from.
For someone who had constantly been pressurized to be the best, you had no time for poetry and art— and he was born a poet. You were thankful for his existence and his acceptance for you, but the poet inside of him could never really be accepted entirely.
You looked up finally once you were done with your page. 'Why does it matter, Kazuha?', you said, never looking directly at him as you picked a lone flower on the ground. He stared on, curious.
'Everything withers when winter passes and returns with spring. Beauty blooms in summer and dies in Autumn. Your or my own preferences don't matter, nature remains undeterred.'
'Isn't their comfort in romanticizing life, though? Finding love and loss in our twilight existence.'
'So you just want to feel loved by giving adjective to natural things?'
He laughed at the simplification. 'No, but to be more direct, since you would like that, I merely like having natural memoirs to associate people and places with, so I tag them with adjectives. Much easier for a wanderer to keep, isn't it?'
You sighed quietly before smiling softly at him. 'You're at it again? Not everyone leaves, Kazuha. Some people come in our lives to stay,'
He smiled at your words, though the smile never quite reached his eyes.
I had always loved stargazing. There was something about staring at the stars that shape our unfortunately funny lives and still deeming them worthy of our praise. Making them the base of our adoration.
I had invited Kazuha here, and though we had talked a lot initially, which ultimately led to kissing and to confession and to this— his head on my lap as I rested against the slide of the children's park, watching with him as the night zoomed by, suddenly every possibility of the future crossed my mind and I couldn't help the curious cat inside of me.
'Why would you want to be with me?', I asked, staring down at him.
Don't get it wrong— he is the love of my life. The most beautiful person I have ever known, ephemeral inside out. Perhaps that's the problem. He is like a songbird, and I am a hunter. Horses don't befriend the grass, but I fall deeper in love nonetheless.
Sometimes I scare myself— Will I ever be able to save myself from the depths I am venturing to? Will he reach his hand out? Will I be able to see him from the depths? Will it be too—
'I love you, that's why.'
What a lie.
'Huh?' I hadn't meant to say it out loud, but it would be for the best of both of us.
'You wouldn't think of suicide and then not think of me if you really did, Kazuha.'
He had nothing to say, he quietly stared on. More startled with the knowledge of my awareness than looking for an answer.
But I could not blame him, I had nothing to say either.
I pressed my lips against his in that moment, not realizing I had been crying until he wiped the tears with his thumb. He kissed with a passion, pouring himself out, as though saying all the words through this kiss then he would ever have time to before he left. He always kissed deeply— but right now he did it as though he was desperate to tell me his tale of love.
But I had stopped believing him after a point, and my own support remained these small physical exchanges that we would have; away from the world, under the stars, hoping they would have some pity on us. On me.
'Do you really love me, Kazuha?', I asked when he pulled away, our breaths mingling in an intimate dance of fire and ice. His touch lingered a bit too long on my exposed neck, and I knew part of what was coming.
He remained quiet when I wanted him to answer, before pushing me down on the grass, continuing the kiss. I was the songbird perhaps.
Curiosity killed the cat.
She wasn't the same after that.
After we slept together, that is.
I had not wanted to hurt her, but only yesterday as I thought over everything once again, I realized how selfish I was. How filthy. Her purity had always been a source of utmost awe for me, as I stared at her skin, free of sin. But it had been foolishness on my side— I should've known my hands would burn against her skin. I should've steered away, but then she stepped in the lion's den like a willing sacrifice.
My mother had said it to me once— it's easier to solve conflicts between lovers if you sleep with them, albeit half drunk.
She was wrong about it.
She was so wrong about many things.
But like a desperate man drowning in dark waters, I clawed at whatever I could take and she, the love of my life, gave me whatever she could before the waters reached waist-deep and I pushed her away.
When we shared a bed, she was the last to sleep. I wasn't a mind reader but I was nearly certain I knew her every reason for muffling her wails in her blanket. I wanted to get up and say something. But when I went to Germany, Greece, then Italy, I needed her to feel nothing but relief. The euphuism had been funny, but she saw right through it.
The moon tutted at me, the sun nearly ready to rise over her, trees leaning over in private chatter, whistling together, chiming their little criticisms as the sinners—suicide and homicide—stared at each other.
I had always dreamed of how today would be ever since I had made up my mind. Dying was never easy, no matter how badly you desired peace. Instincts could never be stopped. Drowning, cutting, burning, suffocating— I tried everything in the same order, then backwards, then all at once. But even my self-loathing was not strong enough to betray my instincts.
She found me once— laying in a pool of my own blood. I had never seen her crying before, she'd been desperate, desperate to do anything, to scream, to cry, to shout but the night was a trap on us that doused her voice and she was left with all but one person to rely on— herself, as she carried me to the hospital.
If the Hindus were right, I was worthy of being a Hemlock in my next life. Cursed to eternal damnation by the gods— a life devoid of love, adoration or beauty. Only the winter for company and solace.
Such thoughts did not scare me.
She did not cry tonight, only packed her bags and left.
I folded over into her like a secret billet-doux. I was unbelievably small next to her, my words just as frail as I was. She wanted us to break up. I knew she did, I just wanted to be happy in my last breaths by playing a game of pretense.
'Can you hold me until I'm completely gone?'
Her brows furrowed, eyes devoid of their usual kindness. 'Kazuha.'
She said my name without anything attached to it, like those three syllables meant everything between ardour and despair.
'I know you hate me,' I reassured her, 'I only want to pretend I'm not alone for a moment.'
I began to cry. Am I that insignificant, God? Am I easy to kill?
But to my surprise, she let my head grate against her chest, soft fingers knotting through her jumper, crying, screaming, let it all out, I want to see you hurting darling, let everything go while I take it from you, our final reconciliation, my love.
But then she let go of me and death held me, tightly, like she was suffocating me, like this was the first and last time she'd ever hold anyone, like murder was primal and she wouldn't shy away from its beckoning voice, like a siren, a mother, a ghost, with the blade to my neck, her final judgement on her tongue—
Let go of me, my love, for this is where I die.
Now.
Autumn. His favourite.
I always had one complaint with Kazuha— he was bad with goodbyes. For someone so poetic, it was a bit ironic even, but I hated how he simply left, walked away as though that was all there was to it. He never turned and smiled, waving back gently with a promise of return, however fake might it be.
Anybody would say he looked peaceful. He's poetry in a face. His lids unfold over his eyes like broken shutters, and it looks like a sigh has prised his mouth open. If you stare hard enough, it looks like he's breathing.
He didn't die like that. Death had to pull the shutters down. She had to draw his mouth shut, but the wind seized it again. She had to scrub the tears and saliva from her skin. Otherwise, it looked like a struggle. It wasn't. He'd given in and told me not to interfere.
As I stared at his coffin, his resting place, I couldn't help but feel repulsed at the muddy brown. It takes place in a church, like most things do. According to Kazuha, his mother is God-fearing, although I don't think he meant it in the conventional sense. Rose just dreads what God will do to her for all her sins, not that she ever made an attempt to repent. The woman is a filthy hypocrite like all cowards are. In turn, her son was taken from her.
Quel dommage.
Surprisingly, I didn't find tears to cry. I came for the same reason as everybody else—curiosity, guilt; not love though. Very few attended because everyone liked Kazuha. It was like he was a discarded newsprint, not a person.
I had cried all I could, wanted to, weeks ago. I knew what was coming— so did he. Neither of us cried when we accepted our fates because we had read it under the stars we made love under for so long. There wasn't guilt in him as he sinned, which made him so corrupt— and there wasn't regret in me as I turned away, which made me, oh, so pure.
I felt violated.
I don't mention it when I visit his grave, though. I hadn't come to hate him, he was wrong about that I'm afraid. I had come to see him for who he was— pure as a fire but feeding on impure things, and I prayed for hours, hands folded, knees scraping against cold, harsh marble as I cried, as I waited, only for the smallest of whispers to infiltrate my mind—
God is dead.
Should I have followed?
Tumblr media

Pt.1 Part 3
Tumblr media
You plopped into the seat beside Grace and smiled as the Samson lifted into the air. You always loved flying, and after you found out the Na'vi travel on ikrans, or what humans call banshees, you were sold. You wanted to fly on one someday, at least ride on one. You love the animals so much that you got one tattooed on your upper back. The wings spanned from shoulder to shoulder and it went to about halfway down your back. Sadly it wasn't on your avatar, but you were happy to have it on your human body. You watched Jake and Norm take in the scenery with awe, and you couldn't help but smile and nudge Grace. She looked at her two new avatars and chuckled.
"The newbies are always in awe aren't they?" She asked you and you chuckled.
"Oh yeah. I mean I was too. If I could see it all again for the first time... I'd fall in love all over again." You told her and she sent a small smile your way. When the Samson landed Wainfleet and Jake were the first off the bird with you right behind Jake. Grace went over and told Trudy to shut down the engines since we'd be here a while. She stopped Wainfleet from following us by putting a hand on his shoulder.
"You stay here. I already have one idiot with a gun." Grace tells him and he backs up to the chopper.
"Hey (Y/n) has a gun too." Jake whines.
"The fact that you know that was about you speaks volumes, Jake." You laugh as you pass by him. He grumbles to himself for a moment and then follows you into the tree line. The four of you made it to her old school and you sadly picked up the books that had fallen off of the shelf.
"What the hell happened here?" Jake asked as he observed the bullet holes in the walls and cabinets. You picked up your gun and made to walk out of the building.
"I... I think I heard something outside. I'm gonna go check it out." You call out to Grace and walk out of the door. You sat on the railing and looked out over the trees. To think of such a beautiful and serene place had once been the scene of a horrific event. When Grace told you about it caused a rift between you and your dad. The fact that he was so willing to kill children was a mystery you'd never solve. You shook yourself from your thoughts when the door opened and Grace walked out.
"Would you mind carrying this?" She asked as she held out a hand-held scanner. You nodded and slipped it into the side pocket of your bag. "You okay?" She asked once she caught sight of your face.
"Oh yeah. Just fine." You told her and she gave you a sad smile.
"I understand kid. I understand." She said and patted your head as the two of you led the newbies into the jungle. A group of prolemuris passed by and it caused Jake to aim at them.
"Jake if they aren't charging you, or growling at you there's no need to threaten their lives." You tell him but he keeps his gun up. Grace rolls her eyes and steps up to Jake.
"They're prolemuris, not hostile." She grabbed the barrel of his gun and shoved it down. "Calm down marine, you're making me nervous." We continued walking for a little while and finally stopped in a small clearing. Grace and Norm immediately started testing the tree roots and taking samples. You turned when you heard footsteps, and found Jake walking away.
"Would you mind keeping an eye on him?" Grace asks and you nod.
"Yes, ma'am. Y'all need anything let me know." You say and catch up to Jake. Once you catch up to him you stay about two steps behind him.
"They're called helicoradian. They shrink when you touch them." You tell him and he immediately touches one. It shrinks and he laughs and touches another one, and the cycle continues until he hits one and all of them shrink. The angry roar of a titanothere hammerhead reverberated through the trees. You slowly turned around and found the source.
"Oh shit." You hear Jake curse under his breath.
"Do not run Jake. These animals are very territorial and adhere to a social hierarchy." You whisper back to him. "Do not shoot at it because its armor is too thick to penetrate, and it'll just piss him off more."
"Don't shoot!" Grace whispers into her neck com and you nod.
"I've already told him." You tell her and she nods.
"How uh how do we get out of this situation?" Jake asks Grace. The titanothere roars again and bashes the sides of his hammer on nearby trees.
"That's a territorial threat display. You run, he'll charge." Grace tells Jake.
"So what do we do dance with it?" He asks her.
"Just stand your ground." Grace says. The titanothere charged and Jake ran to meet it halfway yelling loudly the whole way. You heard muted shuffling behind you and you were immediately back on high alert. Jake was making a spectacle of him intimidating the creature while your ears were flicked back trying to hear what was approaching. You winced when you heard the feral growl of a thanator. Jake turned around to see what made the noise and quickly raised his gun at it.
"What about this one? Run, don't run..." Jake asks and you respond for Grace.
"Fuckin run jarhead!" You grab his arm and race through the brush away from Grace and Norm. The two of you duck into the roots of a tree to try and ward it off, but it just tried harder. You groaned and push Jake out of the cubby hole. The two of you picked up your pace to escape but he was yanked out of your grasp. You look up to find him being tossed around like a caesar salad. "Fuck the backpack Jake, drop that shit!" He unbuckles it and gets flung onto the ground. You haul his ass up and the two of you run over to a cliff with a waterfall. You both scream as you jump into the water down below. When you both crawl onto the riverbank you laugh as you stare at your surroundings.
"Holy shit." Jake says.
"We're alive!" You say excitedly and stand up and he follows you. "Now all we gotta do is survive until we're saved!" You say sarcastically. You both continue traveling into the depths of the jungle covering each other's backs. Once eclipse started to fall you climbed into a tree and sat there.
"Are you gonna come down here and help me start a fire?" Jake asked and you shook your head.
"We do that we're basically signing ourselves up for death. The Na'vi evolved to survive in the bioluminescent forest." You tell him but he doesn't listen. "Alright have fun dyin'." You say as you lean back to be hidden in the tree well. At some point, you started to feel comfortable and started to feel tired. However, your near-sleep experience was interrupted when Jake started to struggle with viper wolves. You groaned and jumped down with your gun. You didn't want to kill them, just scare them. You started to swing your gun around to get the animals to run off, and it was working. Then a figure jumped out into the clearing and started to help get rid of the wolves. Once they were cleared she threw Jake's torch into the nearby pond. When the woman turned to you, you brought your hand to your forehead.
"Oel ngati kameie." You spoke and she stared at you for a moment.
"Oel ngati kameie, tawtute." She spoke and you deflated. Sky person. Sky demon. Whichever she meant it was never nice.
"Thank you for helping me protect my noisy friend." You spoke quietly and she seemed impressed.
"Yeah, uh thanks for killin' those things." Jake says and you smack the back of his head.
"Don't. You do not thank for this. This is sad. They did not need to die." The woman said and a tear escaped your eye.
"I'm sorry if I killed one of them. That wasn't my intention." You said and she shook her head.
"Him. His weapon has blood on it." She said and got up in Jake's face. "You are like a baby, don't know what to do." She says and Jake seems upset.
"What about her? She was there too?" Jake says and the woman rolls her eyes.
"She was in the trees being silent. Didn't know she was there until she jumped down to defend you." The woman spoke honestly and then turned to walk away. Jake followed behind her and you shook your head as you followed.
"Jake we have to go back. We aren't allowed on Omatikaya land." You warned him and he shook your hand off his wrist.
"Hey wait. Where are you going?" Jake said trying to keep up with her and you sighed in frustration.
"You must go back." She said and you tried to yank Jake back but he fought your grip again. "You do not belong here." She made a motion with her hand for you to vanish. You had planned on abiding by her wishes but Jake being Jake thought he was an exception.
"Why can we go with you?" Jake asked her.
"Because sky people cannot See." She says and you cocked your head at that.
"Then teach us to See." Jake countered and she scoffed.
"You cannot be taught to See." She tells him and he finally catches her elbow only for her to retort by hitting him with her bow.
"Grabbing a woman's elbow doesn't even go down well on Earth, Sully. I don't know why you'd think it was a better outcome here." You said with an eye roll and crossed arms. The woman now stood still observing you and you started to observe her. She lunged forward when you went to uncross your arms and she grabbed one of your hands.
"Three fingers, and a thumb." She whispers and you chuckle.
"Yeah, it's a genetic defect of mine. It uh has always set me apart from others." You said quietly and squirmed in her grasp. Jake clambered to his feet. "Though it's only one of my hands on my human body, so I'm unsure why it's extended to both hands and feet in this body."
"Okay aside from her freaky birth defect. If you love your forest friends so much, why not let them kill our asses?" Jake asks her.
"Why save you?" She asks as she looks between the two of you. "Because you have a strong heart, but you're stupid. Ignorant like a child." She moves to leave and it was then that you could finally make out her facial features to know who she was.
"My apologies, tsakarem. I could not recognize you." You spoke quickly and she smiled lightly, but it fell from her features as she looked up. Atokorina floated down toward the three of you. You were scared to move because you didn't want to scare them away. Jake, however, swatted a couple away from him. They covered both of you up as much as they could before they floated off on their journey. You turned and watched them.
"What were those things?" Jake asks Neytiri.
"Atokorina." You answer him and Neytiri looks at you surprised.
"They are seeds of the holy tree. Very sacred spirits." She says and you smile lightly. She steps forward and grabs one of your wrists and one of Jake's. "Come." She leads the two of you for a moment before Jake's legs were wrapped up and he started to fall off the log taking you with him. The moment you got the rope off his feet he was up and swiveling trying to find a way out, but you remained crouched low. You left your weapons in their places. The position you were in showed you were not going to resist, but you weren't comfortable with being near them. The man you recognized as Tsu'tey the future Olo'eyktan. Neytiri irritatedly asked what we thought he was doing to which he replied he was going to kill us. Tsu'tey's eyes drifted over the two of us and his eyes land on your hands and feet. He yanks you into a standing position. He holds your tswin in his left hand while he looks over the hand he holds.
"Bring them." He says and one of the hunters takes over holding your tswin but holds a knife under it. Everyone breaks into a sprint to get to Hometree. As you walk in the entrance you look around the area, but ignore the looks of disgust and the hisses. You were so tired. You had been so ready for sleep for hours now that this just felt like torture. You didn't even realize that their Tsahík was talking to you until Jake answered for you.
"I'm sorry for my friend. She's exhausted. Her name is (Y/n) and she's also a part of the jarhead clan, but she's also a student." Jake tells them and they nod in approval. You get new clothes and go to dinner and when Neytiri shows you to your hammock you almost run and jump into it. You're so tired that it doesn't take long for you to fall asleep and wake up in your human body. Norm is holding you as he flashes a light over your eyes.
"Hey (Y/n). You okay?" Norm asks and you nod.
"Yeah. I'm great." You say happily and he looks at you in question. "You'll never guess where Jake and I are right now."
"Where?" Norm asks and you smirk.
"We're at Hometree with the Omatikaya. They want to learn about us and for us to learn their ways." You say excitedly and he smiles gently and you slowly get up. He smiles wide for a moment but then it falls and he frowns.
"Guess you'll be too busy to hangout with me around here." Norm says and you scoffed.
"I will still hang out with you as much as I can Norm." You reassure him and he nods. "Come on I need to eat so I can go to sleep. I'm a dead woman walking at the moment." You laugh and grab his hand to go grab dinner. The two of you grab some food and sit down and start eating.
"I've been meaning to ask you without sounding rude, but your left pinky moves odd. Why? Did you break it when you were younger?" Norm asks and you shake your head.
"It's a prosthetic pinky. I was only born with three fingers and a thumb on my left hand." You said as you twisted your left pinky and pulled it off. "Mom blames Dad because he's 'from the south' whatever that means. Dad blames Mom because she was still wild while she was pregnant with me. So there's no telling what she was exposed to. I blame Earth and its seemingly infinite pollution." Norm takes your left hand in his and smiles while he plays with your fingers. "I used to be made fun of in school for it until Dad sent money to grandma to have her get me a prosthetic." You tell Norm and he frowns.
"But this is what makes you unique... On Earth. Here it's a trait everyone has." Norm points out. "It's almost like you were meant to be here."
"I'm glad I am." You tell him and he blushes.
"Why is that?" He asks you.
"Because I got to meet you." You say and he laughs while looking down trying to hide his red cheeks. "See? Adorable." You whisper.
"I'm pretty sure that's you." He says. "You know I used to get made fun of in school too. Being the smart kid so many people saw me as an easy target." Norm says sadly and you frown.
"Fuck them." You say. "The girls that made fun of you are probably stuck in minimum-wage jobs with an unreliable husband and five kids. The boys? They're those husband's. I happen to have a thing for men with a brain." You say and he looks up at you.
"Really?" He asks and you nod. "Well, I have a PhD in anthropology." He brags and you laugh.
"Trust me Norm. I'm well aware." You say flirtatiously and finish off your food. "Alright I need to get some rack or I'm gonna pass out right here." You both get up and he escorts you back to your room.
"We should do this more often." Norm says and you smile.
"Only if you're cool eating dinner with my Dad. He and I usually eat dinner together." You tell him and he chuckles.
"Lunch then?" He asks and you nod.
"You're scared of my Dad aren't you?" You ask him.
"I'm scared of your Dad. He looks seriously tough." Norm says.
"He is, but underneath it all... He's a good man." You tell him. "Sleep well Norm. Goodnight." You open the door to your room and he nods.
"Goodnight (Y/n). Sleep well." Norm says and heads off to his room. You close your door and do your nighttime routine and go to sleep.

Unplanned Sunny Event i straight up didnt even know where this was going when i started i just like making him cry
[emotional anguish, hunger, stuffing, tummy rubs]
It was a beautiful summer afternoon, and Sunny was spending it curled up in bed sobbing into his pillow. He'd never felt so awful in his life, except for every other time he'd felt this awful. The day had been doomed from the start. He'd woken up in tears from a dream that had struck him right in the heart. He'd dropped an egg while making breakfast and twisted his knee in his rush to clean it up. One of his favorite mugs--Gray had given it to him for his birthday one year--had slipped from his grasp as he pulled it from the shelf, bouncing off his head before shattering on the floor. He'd been so frustrated by the entire ordeal that he'd given up on breakfast altogether, and, come noon, he was battered and bruised inside and out, and absolutely starving on top of it.
The dam didn't break over a mug or an egg. The final straw came just before lunch, when Sunny had excitedly presented Laurie with a clay sculpture of a fish he'd spent nearly a week making for her knickknack collection. He wasn't much of an artist, but he'd been proud of the result, at least until Laurie, not realizing her friend had made it himself, had joked about its lumpy physique and funny face. Sunny, who was sensitive on a good day, would have been less hurt if she'd run a knife through his heart. Laurie had only realized what she'd done when he'd stormed off, looking utterly crushed.
Sunny was supposed to go out for lunch with Laurie, but he no longer wanted to. As a matter of fact, he was so upset that he didn't want to eat at all. He didn't care about the pangs of hunger in his aching, empty tummy, and its pitiful growls went ignored. He didn't care about his raging headache, and he didn't care that crying was only going to make it worse. He didn't care if he lay there until he starved to death. He'd have liked to. He felt absolutely horrible.
There he lay, curled up with his old stuffed bunny hugged tightly to his chest, face buried in his soggy tear-soaked pillow, sniffling and hiccuping miserably. His heart ached terribly, along with his head and his stomach. A long, whining growl rose up from his hollow tummy, and he curled in on himself even tighter as it was constricted by a harsh pang.
Sunny was startled by the sound of somebody calling his name. It sounded like Laurie. He ignored her, telling himself he wanted her to leave but wanting nothing more than to hug her and make up. He remained still as her voice grew closer. Then, she knocked at the door.
"Sunny?" Her voice was gentle and tinted with worry. He didn't answer. Cautiously, she opened the door. His face remained hidden. He heard soft footsteps approaching, and then he felt a weight on the bed beside him, and then a warm hand on his side.
"Sunny, I'm sorry," she said softly. "I love the fish. It's really sweet. I shouldn't have made fun of it." He looked up at her, wiping his face. He wanted to hold a grudge, but that was something he'd never been able to do. He lay there for a moment, unable to find his voice, then pushed himself upright and hugged her tightly, hiding his face against her shoulder. She held him close, gently rubbing his back with one hand and burying the other in his thick dark curls. There they sat, hugging each other, when suddenly his belly rumbled so angrily that Laurie could feel the vibration against her own.
"Christ, Sunny, haven't you eaten at all today?" She looked down at him, concerned. He shook his head, and Laurie felt even worse. As if laughing at his homemade gift hadn't cut deeply enough, his hungry tummy had surely amplified his stormy emotions.
"Come on, why don't we make some lunch," she suggested, giving him a gentle pat on the back.
Standing up made Sunny much more aware of how awful his body felt. His stomach ached terribly, his head was pounding, and he was dizzy and dehydrated after spending so long sobbing on an empty stomach. He stumbled for a moment upon getting up, and Laurie steadied him with an arm around his waist.
The two friends made a quick lunch together in Sunny's kitchen: grilled cheese and tomato soup. Sunny, who began to develop more of an appetite after thinking about the sandwiches, wound up making himself two, and his stomach growled impatiently at the smell of them cooking. Laurie slipped her arm around his waist and rested a comforting hand on his sunken belly. She winced sympathetically at the feeling of it tensing up as it growled again.
At long last, they sat down with their lunch, Laurie with one sandwich and Sunny with two, each with a hot bowl of tomato soup. It was after one now, and despite the ache in his stomach, Sunny felt like he could eat a horse. Fighting to keep his drool in his mouth, he tore into his first sandwich like a starved raccoon. Laurie tried to hide her amusement as she watched him eat. She took her time with her own lunch, tearing off pieces of her sandwich to dip into her soup. She always ate grilled cheese that way; it made it last longer. Sunny had no interest in dragging out his lunch, and had started on his second sandwich before she was halfway through her own.
It was only toward the end of his second sandwich that the fullness in Sunny's stomach caught up with him. He paused suddenly, feeling a little winded as he became conscious of how tight his belly felt. Before he knew it was coming, an enormous burp escaped him, and Laurie couldn't help but laugh at how surprised he looked by it.
"Jesus, Sunny," she giggled, snorting. He smiled up at her. She smiled back, glad to see that his mood had improved a little. The burp had relieved some of the pressure in his stomach, but he still felt stuffed. There was only a little bit of his lunch left, though, and he saw no reason not to finish.
He ate the rest of his lunch more slowly, savoring the taste of it rather than just sucking it down as fast as he could. By the time he finished, he was so full he couldn't eat another bite. He wiped off his hands and rested them on his drum-tight belly with a sigh. With two sandwiches and a bowl of soup crammed into his small stomach, he was too stuffed to even suck it in, and his tummy bulged tightly out against his shirt.
Sunny was incapable of staying mad at his friends, and eating had improved his mood immensely. By the time he and Laurie had settled on the couch together, the misery that had completely incapacitated him earlier was nearly dissipated, now overshadowed by the comfortable pressure in his belly and the soft, warm feeling of his friend beside him. Yawning, he stretched and leaned against her, and she wrapped an arm around him, placing one hand on his distended tummy.
"Jeez, you're really stuffed," she remarked, patting his belly. He hiccuped, and she rubbed his belly gently, smiling. Sunny often gave himself hiccups by eating too fast, and Laurie thought it was adorable, although he hated it. He hiccuped again and winced as his full tummy jolted uncomfortably. Taking pity on him, Laurie rose from the couch to go get him a glass of water.
She returned with the glass, and Sunny took three slow gulps, his tummy poking out tighter with each one. He wouldn't have been able to fit a fourth if he tried. He didn't need to, though; the hiccups had ceased. He set the glass down on the coffee table and leaned back with a sigh. His belly stuck out round and firm, stretched so tightly that it almost ached to breathe in, but it didn't hurt. The stuffed feeling was pleasant, and a welcome change from the painful emptiness that had been gripping his stomach only half an hour earlier. Laurie gently took him into her arms, trying not to squeeze his bloated tummy as she hugged him.
"I really am sorry, Sunny," she said, rubbing his belly as he laid his head against her shoulder.
"It's okay," he said.
"No it isn't. Even if you hadn't made it, it'd still be mean to make fun of it. I was being an asshole," she said, and he could hear the sorrow in her voice.
"Well, I can finally tell you that whisk you gave me last year sucks. So now we're even."
"Alright, I guess that works," she laughed. He grinned up at her, then shifted his position to hug her. She could feel his round belly pressing against her, swelling slightly with each shallow breath.
"What's wrong with the whisk, anyway?"
"It's flimsy," he giggled, and she felt his tummy tense up against her side. Smiling, she rubbed his side, and he sighed contentedly, melting completely under her touch.

That's How He Knows He's Yours (A Lokius Fic)
Would you like a little bit of self-indulgent Lokius to heal from the finale? You would?!?! Good!! Because I just so happen to have some! *opens green coat to reveal a fic* All the context you need, which is little to none, is in the fic, so just read on and enjoy and patch up your little broken heart!!!
The TVA was having a party.
That wasn’t really the important thing, but it was interesting anyway. Mobius couldn’t remember the last time they’d had a party—but they needed to keep their spirits up after finding out that their entire lives were, in fact, lies, so a party it was. Every sector was having its own shindig, because the TVA was immense, and all of the employees couldn’t have fit in a single room if they’d been threatened with death to do it.
Well, anyway, the important thing was that Mobius wasn’t going alone. He’d convinced Loki that it would be more fun to go together than to go separately, or not to go at all.
The other important thing was that Mobius had offered to braid Loki’s hair, which had grown considerably longer than it had been the first time they’d met, and that Loki had taken him up on it.
He’d spent hours studying both Jotun and Aesir braiding styles—not just the actual construction, but also the meaning behind them. In the end he’d picked the Jotun style that signaled “I’m taken” because it was beautiful, and because he was pretty sure Loki didn’t know enough about his own culture to know what it meant himself, so Mobius could convince himself it wasn’t that much of a presumption.
“I’m not so sure about this suit,” Loki said, patiently waiting as Mobius brushed his hair before twisting it together. “The gold stripes are a bit much, don’t you think?” “What happened to the guy who used to strut around wearing gold armor and a cape?” Mobius teased, beginning the first braid. Left under the middle, right under the middle, he muttered to himself.
“I’ve been wearing your boring TVA clothes for months,” Loki said. “The drab must’ve rubbed off on me.”
Mobius rolled his eyes. The truth was, he was outside his own comfort zone in a fancy suit. His didn’t have metallic pin-striping on it like Loki’s did (because it was a bit much, although Loki wore it well) but it was black, and a much sharper cut and a much more dashing style than he was used to wearing. He’d been just an analyst in a plain brown suit for centuries, and now here he was all dressed up like he thought he was Prince Charming or something.
He tried to focus more on the different strands of dark hair in his hands than on the way his fingertips brushed against Loki’s temples as he gathered new locks to add to a braid.
He failed.
As he began to pin the completed braids up using glittering golden hair pins, he tried to focus more on not stabbing Loki’s  scalp than on the brush of his hands against the nape of Loki’s neck.
He failed.
Loki was built like a prince, Mobius sometimes caught himself thinking. It didn’t matter if it was princedom of Asgard or of Jotunheim. There was an elegance in the set of his shoulders, in the movements of his hands as he wielded his magic, and a determination in the curve of his back and the way he stepped, that was just plain regal. Gold, like the simple rings he was wearing that night and the hair pins Mobius had found for him and the single slim chain around his neck, seemed to have been built into the cosmos for no reason other than to have Loki wear it.
That was waxing poetic. Mobius didn’t do that often—only for Loki and Jet Skis. What could he say, they were both remarkable singularities in the universe.
He finished setting the last braid into place, nestled among the others like a crown across the top of Loki’s head. “All done, puss,” he said, patting Loki on the shoulder.
Loki’s head turned slightly to the side at the use of the nickname, and Mobius could just see a smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Do I dare look?” he asked.
“I didn’t mess it up that bad,” Mobius said. Loki chuckled and got up from the floor in front of Mobius’s couch to go check his appearance in the mirror on the other side of the room.
Mobius could see the reflected green eyes widening as he caught sight of himself. For some reason Mobius’s heart was in his throat.
“I didn’t know you knew how to do this,” Loki said.
“What, braids?” Mobius managed to speak past his racing pulse. “It’s not that hard.” (It was, actually, quite hard, but learning it for Loki had made it seem easier.)
“No. The Jotun style.” That quick pulse stopped altogether. Mobius sat there, stock still, feeling very much like he was going to throw up if Loki didn’t break the sudden silence.
He turned from the mirror to look Mobius in the eyes properly. He was smiling, his eyes glittering beneath the faint liner he’d applied earlier that evening and a light dusting of shimmery white eyeshadow. “Seems the pussycat has caught himself a guilty little mouse,” he said, his voice sultry and honey-smooth, dripping into Mobius’s soul. “You didn’t realize I knew what these braids meant,” he stated. There wasn’t a hint of doubt on his face.
“You caught me,” Mobius said. He was impressed with himself for being able to get any words out at all, with Loki’s gaze focused on him like that.
“I’m taken, am I?”
Now Mobius found himself entirely unable to speak. What could he say, after all, other than "we’ve been spending a lot of time together and you don’t mind when I call you ‘puss’ and I catch you staring at me sometimes in a way nobody ever has"? It seemed stupid even in his brain. None of that meant he and Loki were…whatever he’d been subconsciously thinking they could be when he’d picked the style.
Loki walked back across the room, a new sway in his hips that Mobius was positive hadn’t been there before, and sat down on the couch to lean directly into Mobius’s personal space. For a long moment, far too long, far too breathless, he simply studied Mobius’s face, as though he could see everything single thought that had ever crossed his mind.
“We’ll see about that when we get back from the party,” he said finally, gaze flicking briefly down to Mobius’s lips. “Maybe you’re the one who’s going to be…taken.”
He crossed into that last bit of personal space and pressed their lips together, his touch surprisingly light, stunningly tender, as one arm came up to drape across Mobius’s shoulders and draw him even closer.
“Don’t be so sure of yourself, puss.” Mobius finally found his tongue again after the kiss (although in a few moments, he was sure the cat would have it) and flirted back, laying a hand on Loki’s thigh. “You’re the one with the fancy hairstyle to prove it.”
As Loki laughed, Mobius captured his lips in another kiss, just as soft as before but oh-so-many leagues more passionate, and he thanked his lucky stars he’d been fool enough to pick a Jotun way to call Loki his.

Nsfw 18+ Yuta Okkotsu + reader
Summary: lately you have had this feeling of something hot and warm overcoming you. Eventually you had enough of it and go to the priest. Maybe the he could be of some help? He is wise after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Quietly walking down the dark hall you look around hoping to not be seen by the other nuns. Luckily you were walking around with socks instes of shoes. Last thing you needed was to be questioned about your destination. As a nun you should be following the rules of the higher ups. One being that you shouldn’t be up so late walking on your own.
The priests room had a tall wooden door with a cross in the middle. You could see light coming from under the door indicating he was awake. Taking a deep breath you Put your hand on the cold handle. You always seemed to get shivers when you spoke to the priest. Yes he was kind but he had hands that looked like they could crush you. Eye bags that haven’t been able to rest and a scary aura. You knocked at the door quietly hoping he would here It.
"Come in" you hear his faint voice say from the other side. You grab onto Your cross necklace gripping the amulet tightly. What if It was something bad like a illness? What if you got trouble? Whatever it was you couldn’t help but Shake a bit. Pushing the handle down you open the door to see his in his desk. He sat their wearing his black priest dress. He seemed to be busy annotating his Bible like always.
"Good evening Yuta I was wondering if you had some time to talk with me." You ask stepping into his room.
"Of course how may I be of help so late ay night?" He asks as he sticks a yellow sticky note onto his Bible to save his page for later. "But you know it’s against the rules for a nun to be up so late at night by themselves right? It’s dangerous for you guys to be roaming around." Quickly he shut the book and looked at you waiting for you to continue.
"I know and I’m really sorry but this is something i really worried about! Please listen to me Yuta." You say. He gives you a small nod for you to continue talking. "I-Iv been feeling really odd recently. Iv been getting this very hot and sensitive sensation down there." You say pointing down.
"Oh?" The priest says as he sat on the edge of his chair. Clasping his hands together and resting his elbows onto the table. "Y/n Im afraid to say that It’s Your body trying to play tricks on you. It’s a feeling that makes you do something sinful. Its something that isn’t tolerated in this church." Yuta pinched the bridge of his nose. He looked at you disappointedly as he scooted back in his chair. "Now tell me the truth y/n. Have you touched yourself down their out of curiosity?" He asks.
"Yes" you say shamefully.
"Come here." He says as he looked at his watch for the time. You comply approaching him shakingly. Whatever was wrong with you was bad if he looked this serious. You’ve never been in a situation like this nor heard of it. Hopefully you wernt going to be kicked out of the church. You grew up here with your fellow sisters. His large pale hand patted his lap showing you were he wanted you. "Lay on your stomach" he said as he watched you do so. His lap felt stiff yet warm at the same time. It wasn’t the most comfortable thing but it wasn’t supposed to be. You already knew what was coming, you’ve seen it plenty of times whole working here. A nun would commit a sin or disobey the hire ups and would get spanked publicly. It was a way of public shaming and would scare the other nuns to obey. It was a system that worked very well for the church. Though this was the first time Yuta has done such a thing.
He was all the nuns favorite due to his kindness and forgiveness. He was a kind soul that always smiled and helped as much as he could. Also for the fact that he was a young handsome man. The rest of these priest where old and close to their death beds. Finally getting position you could feel your dress being lift up. The cold air hitting your behind giving you goosebumps. "You must be punish for your sins. Keep count on how many spanking I give you okay? And answer my questions." He said finally pulling your panties down. All you could look at was his shoes and the hard wood floor. You could feel your heart begin to race. Your palms begin to sweat and your mind full of anxious thoughts. Was this going to hurt? Is he going to tell other priests? If this going to give rid of that sinful feeling?
Squeezing your eyes shut you could feel the cold air hitting your behind. "When did this start?" His cold voice asks.
"Two weeks ago" you say.
Smack
You could feel the sting of the impact. As a heat wave passed through your body.
"Why didn’t you come any sooner?" He asks.
"I was afraid of getting in trouble.." you confess.
"We’ll look where that got you." He spanked you again and again making you jolt with watch hit. "Did you enjoy touching yourself?" He hums. You shake your head hesitantly. Your hands gripping onto the sides of your dress waiting for what’s to come. Again you got hit a couple of times. To the point where you lost count. "That’s very unholy of you y/n what am I going to do with you? Should I send you to the correction center? Or keep my eye on your at all times now?"
AN:I had to cut it short bc Iv been sick for 2 weeks straight now T-T

Barb continued walking. Snapping Nancy out of her gaze as she made the rest of the way to her locker. She approached it, turning her lock, and opening the door.
“Well, look at you go. First dating Steve, now meeting his best friend. You're on a roll, Nance. Next thing you know you guys will get a dog,” Barb teased. Nancy’s jaw went slack at the girl’s remark.
“It’s not like that. We only made out a couple of times,” She defended.
“‘We just…made out a couple of times,’” Barb imitated. “Nance, seriously you’re gonna be so cool now, it’s ridiculous.”
“No, I’m not,” she scoffed.
“You better still hang out with me, that’s all I’m saying.” Nancy turned to girl with furrowed brows. “If you become friends with Tommy H. or Carol or Y/n-”
“Oh, that’s gross,” Nancy stated. “Well Carol and Tommy are gross. We just met Y/n. There has to be a reason she’s stuck with Steve for so long. I mean he seems really fond of her. He mentioned her a couple of times when we were-'' Nancy cut herself off. Noticing Barb’s look. “I’m telling you, it was a one time…” Barb raised her eyebrows. “-Two time thing.” Both girls chuckled. Nancy pushed her book into her locker. At the bottom, was a white note. She took it in her hands and unfolded it. In blue sharpie it read, ‘Meet me. Bathroom - Steve.’
“You were saying?” Barb teased. Nancy slowly looked up at Barb with a sheepish expression. She sucked in a breath while refolding the paper.
“Tss tss tss.” The breath passed through your teeth. Drumming your fingers to a random beat as you waited for class to start. You looked to your left noting the way that Tommy C. was leaning on Tiffany’s desk with a loose grip.
Nodding your head you turned to the right to see Carol and Rachel approaching, fast. Sighing, you slowly slid down your seat. Dreading having to listen to constant ‘pop’ of Rachel’s gum every ten seconds.
“Y/n!” Carol happily chirped and took a seat on one of the desks to the side of you. You gave a small smile as you saw Rachel move into a chair. ‘Pop.’
“Hey, Carol,” you greeted before giving Rachel a nod. “What’s up?
“Well since you asked,” Carol moved in closer, giving you a devious smile. “I heard that a certain King Steve was doing a little something in the bathroom this morning,” you nodded, not quite sure how she knew that already for the fact you had your interaction with Nancy not even five minutes ago in the hallway.
“Mhm.” Was your simple response.
“Is it true that it’s Nancy Wheeler? Steve hasn’t said anything to me or Tommy but he hinted that they’ve been doing stuff,” she stated. You gave a shrug.
“Steve hasn’t really been telling me what he’s been doing recently. But you know him, he doesn’t really kiss and tell.” That’s not true. Steve doesn’t really care who knows who he’s with, but if he hasn’t said anything to them it wasn’t your place to spoil the surprise.
Carol laughed, “Oh yeah, that’s totally him,” she said while patting Rachel on the shoulder. Who was also giggling rather awkwardly. ‘Pop.’ You flinched. “So, he really hasn’t said anything about this morning. Or more like who he’s with this?” Carol pushed. You shrugged again, watching a pink bubble form in front of Rachel’s mouth. The urge to take a pencil and pop it yourself was tempting.
Carol pursed her lips and looked you up and down. After a while of inspecting, she finally spoke. “Okay.” Turning to Rachel, ‘pop,’ Carol motioned her to get up. She turned back to you.  Then the bell rang as she gave you another smile and went to her own seat. You gave her a tight smile in return as she walked away.
Turning back to face the teacher’s desk you shivered slightly as a breeze passed. Looking over to your left again, there was a window open. Getting up, grabbing the teacher's attention as he started settling the class. You jotted your thumb towards the window and looked to her to see if you had permission to close it. She nodded.
Behind your back Nancy Wheeler walked in. Her cheeks slightly flushed. She apologized to the teacher and made her way to her desk. Shutting the window you turned around just in time to almost make contact with her again. She stopped for a second to look at you.
You gave her an awkward smile, “ I was paying attention this time.” A breathy laugh came from her before she continued to shuffle by you. Moving back , you let her pass. Once she was clear you started making your way back to your own seat. While watching Nancy sit in hers you accidently bumped into Tommy C. Making his hand fall from Tiffany’s desk, his body along with it.
You scrambled to grab him. Catching his arm before his head hit the desk. Pulling him upright, you gave him a pat on the back as some of your classmates chuckled. Apologizing, your eyes looked up to meet Nancy’s.
Her lips pulled in between her teeth, to keep her laughter in. You huffed a laugh to yourself as well before the teacher ushered you to your desk, checking if Tommy C. was alright. He was, thanks to you catching him. Though, he wouldn’t have needed that if you were paying attention in the first place. Two times today you were caught off guard. You need to work on your attention span, man.
Don’t want to cause anymore problems do you?
Tapping your fingers on your desk, you watched the clock for it to signal school was done for the day. Standing up the teachers gaze landed on you. In the middle of him opening his mouth to protest, he was cut off by the bell. Giving him a smile you made your way to the door, the other students following. He huffed and sat back in his seat.
Opening the door you watched as Steve exited his classroom. Catching your eye he lightly jogged up to catch up as you both backed down the hallway.
“How was algebra?” He asked, teasing slightly. Rolling your eyes you purposely bumped into him. Making him have to dodge students while trying to push you back.
“It was fine,” you stated simply. He ruffled your hair, pushing you forward causing you to flat tire someone. They looked over their shoulders with furrowed brows. You gave them an uneasy smile while apologizing. Once they noted Steve next to you their eyes widened and they quickly turned to look ahead again. Steve snorted before you shoved him again. There was a brief silence before Steve spoke.
“Y’know, I would invite you to come with me to Nancy’s to study. Maybe talk about Algebra after her chemistry but I feel like studying is more of a two person experience,” he stated. You nodded your head sarcastically.
“Yeah, I’m sure you guys are going to do all sorts of ‘studying,’ Steve,” you said with a sigh. Stopping by your locker quickly to drop off some textbooks. Struggling with your lock for a hot minute before Steve stepped in to do it for you. So you wouldn't break your lock. Giving him a brief thanks and placing the books down. “I wouldn’t be able to join you guys to study anyways. I have to babysit tonight for Mom’s friend. She isn’t going to be home tonight and wanted someone to keep an eye on her little Dusty Bun, since a kid in town has apparently gone missing.” You gave Steve a sickly sweet smile. Which he then raised his eyebrows at you.
“Dusty Bun?” You gave him a solemn nod while closing your locker.
Walking down the hall you continue, “Dustin. I babysat him and some of  his friends a couple of times before. Good kids, total nerds though- actually come to think of it I’m pretty sure one of them is Nancy’s brother. He’s a Wheeler, Mike I’m pretty sure. Does that ring a bell to you? Has Nancy introduced you to her family? Oh my god she totally has hasn’t she. Wow! You guys really are going to get a dog-” Steve cut you off.
“I can't with you today. When have you had time to babysit? We’re together like all the time,” he questioned.
“Well, when do you have time to be with Nancy?” You shot back. He squinted at you.
“Touche.” You shrugged.
“Besides, the lady pays well. I’m not passing this up. Mom probably wouldn’t let me pass it up either.” Stepping outside of the school, you made your way through the parking lot to Steve’s car. He paused before it, a hand on the door.
“How’s she doing by the way,” he asked. Slightly taken aback by the question, you cleared your throat.
“She’s good. Finally not spending time at work for eleven plus hours a day. She's been going to like her book clubs and stuff too. And home, she said that the house is finally feeling like home again.” Steve nodded.
“That’s good, that’s really good. It’s about time she starts being around for you more. I mean after what happened to your dad… I can’t believe she just pushed herself away from you like tha-”
“I think I might walk to the record store before heading over to the kid’s house. There’s been this new album I’ve been wanting to get for a while. I’ll see you tomorrow Steve.” He was dumb founded as he watched you walk past his car.
“Hey- I can, I can give you ride,” he called to you, but you just turned around with a brief smile and a wave. Slightly exasperated, he placed a hand on the car’s door handle. Watching as you crossed the street he frowned. He just wanted to bring  attention to the fact your mom hasn’t really been your mom over the course of the last year.
She shouldn’t have isolated herself in her work and instead should have seen her daughter was struggling just as much as she was. She was the adult in the situation but… maybe you just weren’t ready for the facts to be spoken.
And you weren’t. You got why she didn’t spend that much time at home. Everything there was a reminder of what once was.
Sighing you opened the store’s door, hearing the bell jingle above you. Making your way to one of the bins you began searching for David Bowie’s release from April. Sure, Steve did have a point of the fact your mom hadn’t been that present and left you to wallow in your own sadness.
But if you were in her shoes you wouldn’t spend time at home either. You in fact didn’t spend time there like her. Except instead of being cooped up in an office, you went out with Steve or were at Steve’s. There were too many memories in a place so small compared to the rest of the world.
Moving to the next box, you continued to sift through the different pieces. Finally finding ‘Let’s Dance,’ you let out a satisfied hum and made your way to the counter.
Placing it down you took off your backpack and sifting through it before an employee could ring you up. Digging your hand in the bad to find your wallet. Once retrieving it, the cashier approached. Smiling at her, you handed the amount she called for.
Placing the record in your hold and your backpack back on your back you continued on your way.
You couldn’t really be upset with your mom for the fact you both found different ways of coping. Sure neither of them were healthy but in the end it kept you distracted and that was enough. How could you be mad at her when you would have to be mad at yourself for doing the same thing. Maybe you were mad at yourself in a way…..
For not being there for her the same way she should have been for you. But again in your defense you weren’t even seventeen and your dad had died.
You didn’t know at the time any other ways to handle the fact you lost your favorite person in the world.

Hey hey!! I've been following you for a while now and I love your work sm aaa
Saw the event, I love soulmate au's 😩‼ as a gemini, may I request a gemini prompt + kaeya? Up to you who the enemy is, I trust you ^ ^
-🦚 @pavo-ocell-me
someday, one day (hc scenario)
penpal: omg hi !! im glad u love my work, i hope this is to ur liking 🙌
prompt: gemini the twins, enemy-lover soulmate au
pairing/s: kaeya x gn!reader
sypnosis: when you thought he was your enemy but is actually your lover.
includes: spoilers on diluc and kaeya's backstory, spoilers on genshin's official webtoon, violence, physical pain, burns, arguing, enthusiastic!diluc (pls take note that its canon that he USED to be like all the other pyro characters b4 his father's death.),
Tumblr media
when you first met diluc, it felt like he was your knight in shining armor.
the first time you two met was when you accidentally fell down from your balcony after leaning too much on the railing and diluc managed to catch you bridal-style whilst he was on patrol around the city as a knight.
it truly was romantic– and a near-death experience for you.
so when you found out that his name is imprinted on your wrist, you felt ecstatic, and so did he.
since then, you two were known as the youngest soulmates who had found each other in mondstadt, people admiring your relationship with envy and happiness.
of course, you and diluc were a happy couple. although you would be lying if you said diluc is overall your type, you managed to find yourself falling in love with the man.
when crepus, diluc's father, found out about diluc's once-in-a-lifetime moment, he simply laughs and pats you and his son by your backs with a proud smile.
"by the time my son turns 18, we better make arrangements of your wedding! it's a ragnvindr tradition, after all." he comments eagerly. you honestly weren't sure if the man was joking or not.
it didn't take long before you meet his dear brother, kaeya.
when you find out his brother's name is the same as the one that's imprinted on your other wrist, being surprised is far from your reaction.
"don't worry about it, y/n." diluc reassures you one night as the two of you stroll around the city together. "i'll make sure nothing will go wrong between you and my brother. besides, you always have me, right?"
if diluc hadn't tried what he said, perhaps things would've gone differently than now.
in fear of being enemies with your future brother-in-law, you decided to avoid kaeya like a plague, giving the young man apologetic looks whenever you walk away from his presence.
as much as you're avoiding the man, you couldn't imagine hating on kaeya. every night, you always think of what can make kaeya your enemy. what is there to hate him? he's funny, chivalrous, everything that screams your type of men.
wait.. type?
your heart drops from the moment you started thinking romantic things about diluc's brother, looking behind you to see your soulmate sleeping soundly with a frown plastered on your face.
is diluc really your lover?
doubts started to cross your mind. what if diluc isn't your soulmate? what is there to prove that kaeya is your enemy? are you just overthinking things?
"i can't think about this." you murmured to yourself, pulling up your comforter before laying back down on your bed and try to fall asleep.
"i have a wedding to worry about next year."
just as you said, you did try not to think about the possibilities you have with the two brothers, distracting yourself with tasks and dates with your lover, who's quite oblivious to your problems going on inside your head.
unnoticed by you, you weren't the only one who has been burdened with your thoughts.
by the time diluc's birthday has arrived, the two of you started to get excited from your future wedding, excited to finally marry each other after years of spending your adolescence together.
you didn't expect an inconvenience during diluc and crepus's trip.
you didn't expect crepus trying to save diluc from a monster using something that no one but snezhnaya has ever heard of.
you didn't expect crepus asking diluc to put him out of his misery.
you didn't expect diluc to come strolling back to your shared home with blood stained in his clothing at a late hour.
you never, ever, expected your lover to fight his own brother when he took a visit.
and you did not expect your lover to plan on leaving you and everyone.
"what do you mean you're... you're leaving?" you ask in disbelief, staring at diluc as though he has two heads. "can't i go with you–?"
"no, this journey will be too dangerous for you–"
"this applies to you as well! you're not an immortal or some god–"
"i can do this on my own, y/n." he says with his eyes narrowed. you couldn't help but scoff in disbelief. this isn't the diluc you know and loved.
"but diluc.. isn't this too much? your father... i know crepus's death is too much but, why can't you stay?" you whispered, cupping his cheeks. "what about our wedding? the life you and i planned after your bi–"
"my father died and you're seriously thinking about our wedding?!" diluc forces your hands away from his face, glaring at you. "why can't you understand that i'm trying to find out the truth on this delusion–"
"i do understand!" you yelled out. "i do understand that you want to do this for him but what about monstadt? the knights? what about your brother–"
"HE'S NOT MY BROTHER!" he yelled, lashing out at you as you screamed in surprise when you saw fire in front of you, immediately covering your face with your arms out of reflex.
you didn't notice how your lover's eyes widens on what he did,
you couldn't notice him, not when you're too focused on the huge burns on your arms.
"oh my god..." diluc murmurs, slowly taking a few steps back as he takes a look of what he did, ignoring the sudden presence of adelaide and elzer, who both gasped from the scene.
your eyes starts to water from the intense pain, trying not to cry out and scream your heart out in fear of making your lover feel regret. you could honestly care less on what diluc is doing, all you could think about was the intense burns from your arms.
suddenly, the door was slammed open by kaeya– who was wet from the rain outside.
"what the hell did you do to them?!" kaeya exclaims, running towards you with a shocked look on his face. "i'll take you to the cathedral alright? the sisters will heal you." he whispers, wiping off the tears from your face as he wraps his arm around your shoulder and takes you towards the doors.
before diluc could let out a word from his mouth, kaeya gives him a glare.
"you may hate me for what happened," kaeya says.
"but for celestia's sake, don't ever come to them or call them your lover ever again."
that was the last time you saw diluc.
you eventually find out from the chattering nuns that the man had already left monstadt with no news of when he'll return, causing everyone to pity you and for diluc about what happened.
you were thankful that no one except the nuns found out about the incident of your arms.
throughout your stay in the cathedral, you usually find kaeya beside you, keeping an eye on you with a concerned look on his face. you honestly couldn't imagine what would've happened if the man didn't storm inside dawn winery. would diluc actually try to help you later on and leave? would you have suffered more with your injuries as he stands by watching you in disbelief?
whatever outcome you could think of, your heart ached from them all.
would diluc stayed had he been the one who tries to take care of your injuries?
either way, you knew the man is no longer the one you fell in love with from those years ago.
as years grew by, so did your friendship with kaeya.
although it was awkward from the start, you eventually warmed up to the man who you thought is your enemy, feeling more comfortable with him than before.
the two of you started having careers by then, with you having a successful career whilst kaeya becomes the calvary captain of the knights of favonius.
although the two of you are busy, you agreed to always meet each other at night in angel's share, where you drink the night away and talk about anything that comes out of your minds.
there wasn't a day when you thought about diluc.
thankfully, your burns weren't too severe and is slowly fading away throughout the years. but that doesn't mean the memories you had from it disappeared as well.
ever since that dreadful night, you started having nightmares about the incident, always finding yourself sitting up from your bed with a scared look on your face.
you wished you didn't want to see diluc this way, but you honestly couldn't bare to face him if he ever comes back to the city.
you don't see him as a lover or a friend. all he is to you at this very moment is your nightmare.
your nightmares simply washes away when kaeya comes up in your mind.
whenever you think about your so-called destined enemy, you felt comforted and safe. it was understandable really! you were touched by how he took care of you regardless of you being his "enemy".
however... now that you could think about it, the calvary captain has a lot more common with you than diluc himself. the fact that his brother made you laugh a lot and supported you in many ways made you started thinking that maybe diluc really isn't your destined lover.
your heart skips a beat from the thought of kaeya being your true lover, the smile you wore never fading away.
perhaps when you're finally starting to move on from the relationship you had with diluc, maybe... just maybe, kaeya could be the one you've been hoping for.
you started to sleep more peacefully, excited for the future that awaits.
somewhere in the calvary captain's home, the man is dreaming and hoping of you too.

Request idea: After feeding, the Boys are passing through the graveyard. To their amusement they see a drunk girl who is talking to a gravestone. They eventually realise that she is talking to her dead fiancé. Even though she’s crying and her words are slurred, they are genuinely moved, as her sorrow and pain are very raw and real. A small part of them feels sorry for her, but a selfish part of them see it as fate. If they hadn’t killed her lover, they would have never met their mate. *sips tea*
I'm in a goth romance mood so this is gonna be sad as shit
Apology Flowers (poly!lost boys x Fem!reader)
Warnings: angst, regret, sad shit supreme,
Word Count: 1.3k
Tumblr media
The boys were making their nightly rounds. They'd eaten early in the night, and now they were just driving around the city to kill time before they went to bed for the day. The boardwalk had been dead, with nothing worthy of their attention going on that night. Marko had muttered something about how it must've been a weekday. But, a night drive was as good as a way to spend their time as any way else.
The boys sat back on their bikes and planted their feet on the ground. They were stopped at a red light, and the four of them looked around when David heard something. He glanced towards the cemetery, swiping at his nose as a smirk grew on his face. Perhaps they'd have a second course. But, as their eyes focused on the sight, they saw you.
You were sitting on top of a grave, a fresh one from the state of the soil. David's grin fell, and the boys quieted. They could hear your sobs, see the bottle in your hand. The glint of a ring on your finger. Your words were slurred as you said,
"Today," She hiccuped and wiped your face. "Today was 'upposed to be the big day." A sad smile crossed over your face, before it turned into another sob. You ran a hand over the grave. "You would've- would've loved my dress. Had lace and- and-" You were moving, changing how you sat and leaning your back against the stone. They watched as you took another swig from the bottle before you continued your drunken rambles.
Usually, they'd think someone like you was easy pickings, probably even make jokes about why you were crying. But, they couldn't deny the pull they felt. The pull they all felt.
You were theirs, and you were in pain.
The light in front of them turned green, but none of them moved. How could they? They'd found their mate and you were snivelling in a graveyard, possibly trying to drink yourself to death. And, when you exclaimed,
"God, why- Why did you," You paused to throw the bottle. "Why did you have to go get yourself killed!" The boys were nearly positive that they might've had something to do with it. They couldn't know for sure. Not truly. But, it was more likely than not.
David looked over at the rest of them. He could see the way Paul was tilting his head, staring at you. As if his brain was already coming up with ways to talk to you. If he'd stumbled onto you by himself, he probably would be already. Marko was staring at you the same way, but his expression was unreadable. Even to the bleached blonde. And Dwayne? Dwaynes eyes had shifted to him. They gave eachother a knowing glance, and, while David was revving his engine and pushing his bike forward, they silently agreed to come back.
They'd come back without their bikes, just to find you asleep on the ground. You were curled up in a little ball, the late night chill nipping at your skin. They'd flown down, and David had let out a sigh when he saw you. They couldn't just leave you.
All it took was a minor pat down and they'd found your wallet, along with your driver's license. Once they had your address, the only thing left to do was get you there. Dwayne had been the one to offer to carry you, and none of them had argued. They'd flown you back to your house, even going through the lengths to break in. Paul was good with a lock when he wanted to be, but Marko had decided time was of essence and used his strength to open your back-door instead. Marko whispered,
"I'll buy her a new lock later." As Dwayne carried you over the threshold. They'd looked around, taking in the sights of your house. It was nice, but they frowned when they saw that it was littered with funeral home bills, wedding plans, and photos of you with who they assumed was your fiance. Paul picked one of them up, looking down at the photo.
"Fuck." He said a little too loudly as Dwayne set you gently down on your couch. You made a noise and they all froze, only for you to turn onto your side and fall back asleep. They all glared at him, and Paul's only response was a mouthed, "Sorry." And then he held up the frame. And, there he was. Your Mr. Right. David sighed as he looked at the picture. Of course, he thought. They had, in fact, eaten him about a little over a week ago.
Nothing can ever be easy, David thought. He looked at the others, and then nodded towards the back door. They needed to leave, think about how they'd approach this. It was as they were leaving that Marko noticed a book on your table, and he swiped it without a second thought.
***
When you woke up on your own couch, you'd done a double take. Your bones were stiff and your head was swimming. You held your head, trying to remember how you got home. The only thing you could remember was that you'd gone to a liquor store, and tried to drink your body-weight in alcohol. Everything after that was a little fuzzy. You groaned as you sat up, and decided to ignore the dirt on your clothes in favor of getting yourself some ibuprofen.
You went about your week the same as you'd been ever since your fiance had passed. You forced yourself to eat breakfast, took a shower, checked a day off the calendar, and then went back to sleep. Anything else seemed like too much energy. Plus, you had the time off for your honeymoon. It was a glum thought as you looked out your bedroom window.
Things had been weird. You'd found that your back door lock was broken, but nothing seemed to be missing at first. It wasn't until yesterday that you realized you couldn't find one of the books you'd been meaning to return to your friend. The language of flowers book you'd been using to plan your wedding. You picked at your comforter, trying to think of where you could've misplaced it. When you looked at your clock, you let out a little sigh.
You'd been at home for days, and you'd finally decided to drag yourself out of bed. You didn't have anywhere you could go, anyone you wanted to see. So, the only place you could think of was the cemetery.
Your feet dragged as you walked through the rows, and you sighed as you walked a path that you'd almost memorized. Tears were already building in your eyes as you looked up from your feet, but you froze at what you saw. There was a bouquet.
It was a bouquet of purple-blue hyacinths and white lilies. You'd spent the past months studying flowers for your arrangements, and you were more than aware that lilies were a funeral flower but hyacinths? You kneeled, reaching out to touch the bouquet. Your brows furrowed together, a swirl of questions in your mind. Anyone could've visited the grave, so it shouldn't have mattered. It wouldn't have mattered if you could just remember what hyacinths were for.
You ended up going home to go through some of your notes, the ones that were scattered on your dining room table. You knew hyacinths had been put on your "avoid" list, but you couldn't remember why. It wasn't until you found one of your notepads that you remembered. A chill went down your spine as you read the words. There, in your own handwriting, was scrawled,
"Hyacinths - apology flowers."

Day 136: Long Drive
Sorry friends. The second half of my week last week was really difficult and I went away for the weekend to recharge. Without further ado, here's the next ficlet. Thanks for your patience <3
---------
Harry loved the States for a lot of reasons; it was way easier to disappear here than in England; even if people knew his name, they were way less likely to recognize his face; you could basically pick any climate that you wanted and find a place that suited you; and lots of other weird things.
But mostly he loved road trips.
He loved the entire concept behind getting in a car and just driving. The road unfurling endlessly in front of him, windows down, radio turned up and blaring whatever struck his fancy. With Max in the car beside him, wagging his tail and sticking his head out of the window, Harry felt practically weightless.
"Alright, buddy," he told the pittie when he pulled over to grab some breakfast at a little diner, "You hang out in the back, yeah?" he asked, scratching behind his ears and pressing a kiss to the broad bridge of his nose. "Go on," he said, nudging him toward the back that Harry had magically enlarged and turned into a comfortable living space.
Muggles had campers and rvs but with a little bit of magic, the beaten up Subaru served him just fine.
He got out and hit the lock button, listening to the satisfying little beep as he headed toward the diner, catching up his curls and tying them into a loose messy bun on top of his head.
The diner was cute, all red and white checkered decorations and a counter with spinny stools. Harry sat down at one and grabbed a menu, perusing and trying to decide what to order when he heard the crash of something being dropped to the ground and breaking.
His head snapped up and he blinked, wondering if it had been too long since he'd gone to sleep because he had to be hallucinating. "Malfoy?" he spluttered.
(Read more below the cut)
But before the other man could respond there was a shout from the kitchen in the back, "Damn it! You clumsy, stupid ass!" the man shouted and Harry felt himself recoiling from the anger in his voice. "You'll be paying for that!"
"Yes, sir!" Malfoy shouted back, bending over and hastily sweeping up the pieces.
"Well don't mess around with that now!" he shouted. "You've got a customer, you worthless piece of-" his voice trailed off as he slammed a door in the back but Harry could fill in the rest.
"Malfoy?" he repeated as the man in question stepped over to him. "How on earth did you find me?" he asked.
"You found me, Potter," he snapped. "Not the other way around. Now what can I get you?"
"You actually work here?" Harry asked in befuddlement.
Malfoy gritted his teeth, "Obviously. Otherwise I wouldn't be wearing this stupid apron and I wouldn't be getting screamed at by the arsehole that owns this place. What can I get you?" he repeated.
"Umm," he said, glancing down at the menu, "I will definitely have a cup of coffee. And then maybe the first special on your board with scrambled eggs, bacon, and rye toast," he said. "And also grape jelly, if you have it."
"Got it," Malfoy replied, scribbling on the ticket. "Coming right up."
He spun on his heel and strutted off before Harry could say anything more and Harry just stared after him, wondering if he was dreaming.
Malfoy was back a few minutes later with a mug and a coffee pot, filling Harry's cup and sliding it over to him.
"Thanks," Harry said, reaching for the sugar. "What are you-"
"Look," Malfoy hissed, leaning over and keeping his voice low, "Please do not blow this for me. I know that you have no reason to help me but I really need this job, Potter."
Harry blinked and by the time he'd unstuck his tongue from the roof of his mouth, Malfoy was gone again.
It wasn't long before the other man emerged once more, carrying Harry's plate of breakfast. "Here you go," he said as he set it down and slid a couple of grape jelly packets toward him. "Enjoy. Do you need a warm up on your coffee?"
"Uhh," Harry replied, glancing at his half full cup, "Sure."
Malfoy nodded and grabbed the pot to refill his cup.
"When do you get off work?" Harry found himself asking.
The other man's brow furrowed, "Why?"
He shrugged as he slathered jelly onto his toast, "Thought it might be nice to catch up."
"To catch up?" Malfoy repeated. "Is that code for-"
"Hear about your life," Harry supplied.
Malfoy's eyes narrowed, "Fine. I get off at 10:00. If you pretend that you are just a customer passing through I'll give you fifteen minutes."
"Done," Harry replied easily. "So what touristy shite is there to do in this town until 10:00 am?"
-----------------
After he finished breakfast, Harry ended up just taking Max for a walk and then to the dog park to chase a ball around him. He'd worked hard to train him the first few months after he'd found him abandoned, tied up to a dumpster and all but starving. And Max had learned quickly, mastering basic commands in no time which was for the best, since people took one look at him and decided he was scary.
He wasn't, he was a sweet boy who loved people and who loved to play but it didn't seem to make any difference. Still, once he was trained, Harry had started taking him to the park and he wouldn't let other people bully them out.
Around 9:30, they headed back to the diner and Harry settled Max into the back, making sure his water bowl was full before he climbed back out of the car and leaned against the hood, waiting.
Malfoy emerged a few minuted after 10:00, looking a bit disheveled in his black t-shirt and skinny jeans, and immediately lit up a cigarette before looking around and spotting Harry. His eyebrows rose like he was surprised to see him before he squared his shoulders and made his way toward him.
"Hey," Harry said, straightening up as Malfoy approached him.
Malfoy blew a stream of smoke out of his mouth, "Hey?" he asked. "Is that really what you have to say to me?" He shook his head, "Just get it over with Potter," he said. "If you want to gloat just fucking gloat so I can move on and go get my groceries."
"I don't want to gloat," Harry protested.
"What do you want, then?" he asked scathingly.
And that was the question, wasn't it? What did Harry want? "Why are you working here?" he asked.
Malfoy rolled his eyes as he exhaled another puff of smoke, "It's amazing where you end up when you're a convicted death eater whose wand is monitored," he replied. "Then add to that the fact that it didn't seem to matter where I got myself set up in muggle London, someone found me and within hours I'd lose whatever job I'd been working. So here I am, just trying to get by and who should appear but the savior himself," he said with a little mock bow. "I should just put my two weeks in here now, at least-"
"I'm not going to tell anyone you're here," Harry said quickly.
"Right," he huffed sarcastically.
"I'm not," he argued, "Because if I told them where you are, they'd know where I've been."
"You're running away too?" Malfoy asked, cigarette dangling loosely from his fingers as he stared at Harry in surprise.
"Obviously," Harry replied. "Come on," he said after a moment. "Your feet must be killing you. I'm sure that arsehole doesn't give you breaks," he added as he opened the hatch.
"You want me to climb into the trunk of your car?"
He rolled his eyes, "I know you think I'm an idiot," he said, "But I'm less of one than you think. Just," he crawled in and stood up, "come on."
After a moment Malofy followed him through but before anything else could happen Max bounded over and all but climbed onto Malfoy's lap.
"Max-" he started to scold before Malfoy started talking over him.
"Oh, hello you sweet baby," he said, pulling Max further onto his lap so he could pet him better and scratch his neck. They looked ridiculous, Max was almost as big as Malfoy, but there he sat anyway, "hello. Aren't you a lovie?" he asked. "Yes you are. You're a giant lovie," he said.
And in that moment, Harry's mind was made up. "Have you ever gone on a road trip?" he asked.
Malfoy looked up at him and Max licked a stripe up his cheek. He laughed and stroked his side, "What?" he asked.
"Have you ever gone on a road trip?" Harry repeated.
"What is that?"
"Like a really long drive," he said. "Where you just get in your car and drive and stop for food when you want to and sleep when you want to." He scratched the back of his neck, "Max and I are headed to California to see the giant redwoods."
"That sounds nice for the two of you," Malfoy replied, steadily patting Max.
"Come with us," Harry said.
The other man blinked. "Sorry?"
"Just," he shrugged, "What else do you have here?"
"A job-"
"That you hate."
"A flat-"
"That is probably smaller than this," he said gesturing to the space they were sitting in.
"What happens when you get sick of me?"
He shook his head, "Come on. Just come with us. If I kick you out I'll give you $5000. That should be enough to help you settle wherever you want, right?"
"Why?"
He stared at him for a moment. There were a thousand reasons that flitted through Harry's mind, a thousand things that he could say, but none of them made any sense. Not yet at least. "Why not?" he settled on.
Malfoy took a slow inhale and then nodded once. "Fine, but you're going to need to make a second bed and we have to stop for my stuff."
"Done," Harry replied, grinning and feeling the familiar feeling of freedom that he felt when he was gliding down the open road unfurling in his chest.
Finally, he was going on an adventure worth having.

“What’s happening?” Wonwoo called out as soon as he set foot into the house he shared with his close friends. He could hear the distant shouting happening somewhere in the house, a possible indication of a fight occurring between his housemates again. And he was right, there stood Seokmin and Mingyu, throwing harsh words at each other; something to do with dirty laundry sprawled across the kitchen floor.
“Didn’t I tell you to do your laundry THREE days ago Seokmin?” Mingyu bellowed at the top of his lungs. Seokmin’s glare only intensified as he clenched his right hand into a fist. Wonwoo stood at the bottom of the stairs, worried eyes observing the two.
“You yell at me for nagging you but here you are doing the same thing!” Seokmin snapped back. Before Mingyu could reply back, Joshua came in between the two, stretching his arms out to separate the fuming boys.
“Alright boys, it’s just laundry. Seokmin do your laundry now and Mingyu, take a nap to cool off or something.”
Seokmin turned on his heels, rushing down the stairs to do as he was told, greeting Wonwoo with an apologetic smile. Wonwoo sighed, walking up to his room to get the rest he was yearning for for the past week. He closed his door, padding towards his window to move the curtains shut. Without any source of light coming into his room, he laid down on his unmade bed, sighing as his head softly hit the pillows.
Wonwoo didn’t realise he fell asleep until a gentle nudge awoke him from his nap. “Wonu, it’s dinner time,” Soonyoung whispered, afraid to frighten Wonwoo with his normal tone of voice.
Wonwoo hummed in response, nuzzling his head against the pillow, “I’ll be down in a sec, Hoshi.” Soonyoung patted his cheek gently before making his way out of the room while Wonwoo tried his best to sleep again. However, Wonwoo’s ear perked up to the sound of his phone ringing in the pocket of his jeans.
He released an irritated sigh as he unhurriedly answered the phone. “Hello?” Wonwoo greeted with sleep dripping from his voice. “Wonwoo?” the person on the other line asked. Wonwoo’s sleepy eyes widened at the sound of Jiyeon’s, his ex-girlfriend’s, voice. An uncomfortable silence lingered in the air as Wonwoo sat up on his bed.
“What do you want?” he asked without any hint of friendliness in his voice. He heard something shuffle on Jiyeon’s end before she began to sob uncontrollably. Wonwoo could only roll his eyes at how pathetic she could be.
“P-please take me back, I promise I’ll be faithful to you and only you. He was a mistake, you have to believe me,” Jiyeon cried but Wonwoo remained stoic despite her pleas. He muttered a quick “no” before ending the call with her. He sighed for the last time before laying back down on his bed again.
Wonwoo devoured the pork belly Jeonghan left on the kitchen table for him since he took another nap after the unexpected call from Jiyeon. He began to ponder on the idea of getting back with his ex while he placed his plate on the rack. However, he quickly dismissed the idea after he remembered the pain he went through when he caught Jiyeon and her classmate in the middle of a makeout session on her bed. Wonwoo couldn’t believe his eyes and his first instinct was to punch the guy before fleeing the scene in tears.
But he couldn’t deny the hurt coursing through him after the phonecall he had with her but he also knew it was wrong to keep hurting himself like that. His eyes lingered on the washed plate, blinking once in awhile to stop the tears gathering in his eyes. Mingyu, who entered the kitchen not too long ago, watched him as he leaned silently on the fridge, careful not to scare him although it failed as soon as Wonwoo faced the door. The older male jumped, clutching his chest in the process. “Kim Mingyu, what the hell?” Mingyu waved at him from where he was standing, a sad smile on his lips.
“Wanna talk about it?” Mingyu asked. Wonwoo shook his head, knowing that he had already drunkenly poured out his feelings to Mingyu and the rest of his housemates for weeks after the breakup. He didn’t want to burden them more with his personal problems.
“Nah, I’m good. I think I just need to get some fresh air.”
He wandered around his university campus, finding the empty rooftop Mingyu mentioned the night before. Mingyu discovered it after a stressful exam where he walked around campus, trying to find somewhere to spill his tears. And that’s when he found the rooftop of the science building, empty and abandoned through the blurriness of his tears.
Wonwoo spotted the science building and made his way up through a secret passage that Mingyu instructed him to take. He climbed the rusty stairs that creaked with every step he took which alarmed him but he continued his way up anyway. When he got to the top, he found the door shut tightly which he nudged open with all the force he could muster.
When the door finally budged, Wonwoo heard a loud curse which made him panic at the sound coming from the other side.
“Who the fuck?”
“Shit I’m so so so sorry-”
“Well don’t just fucking stand there, help me up.”
Wonwoo blinked at you for a couple of seconds before your words registered in his mind. He let out a faint “oh right” before offering you his hand. You gladly took it, wincing at the shooting pain in your elbow which you were convinced was bleeding.
“Fuck, my elbow’s bleeding. Thanks a lot you idiot.”
Wonwoo reached out to grab your elbow in his hand. His eyes lingered on your bleeding elbow before taking some unused tissues that were shoved in his coat pocket. He dabbed the tissue on the bleeding wound, wincing now and again.
“You do know I’m the one bleeding and not you?” you scoffed, your eyes focused on his face rather than the blood trickling down your elbow.
“You shouldn’t have been standing there anyway,” Wonwoo muttered.
“So you think it’s my fault?” you questioned.
“No, why are you even up here at this ungodly hour,” he whispered, not wanting you to hear.
“I could ask you the same,” you replied. Wonwoo took out another tissue and asked you to hold it in place since he didn’t have any band aids with him, but you shrugged off his order and thanked him instead before taking a seat on the ground. You chugged the remaining beer in your can and crushed it with your hands.
Wonwoo watched you with curious eyes as you cracked open another can and handed it over to him. You stood up and gathered the cans of beer lying on the ground before making your way towards the door.
“Rooftop’s all yours.”
You were gone before Wonwoo could answer. He began to wonder who you were and what you were doing on the rooftop at this hour of the night but he realised that maybe you were here for the same reason he was; to get away from reality. He took a long sip of the beer you handed him, his eyes spotting a notebook where the crush cans were once scattered.
He reached out, reading the black ink across the cover of the notebook, y/n. he didn’t mean to flip through it but curiosity got the better of him and he opened the notebook to find art pieces scattered on the pages.
“Huh, aren’t you a mystery.”
You awoke the following morning to the sound of your roommate yelling at you. As soon as you opened your eyes, you instantly massaged your temples to soothe your throbbing headache but it wasn’t enough to calm the soreness you were feeling. Your roommate’s voice did nothing to help ease the pain and Seungkwan only worsened it by pushing your bedroom door against the wall with a loud thud.
“Drunk again?” he huffed, pinching his nostrils close to stop the smell of alcohol from making him gag. Seungkwan never liked it when you drank, he didn’t like the smell and he certainly hated the fact that you were slowly drowning yourself with alcohol to make the pain of losing someone go away. Seungkwan tried to convince you that he could help but you always turned down his offer with a lousy excuse that you “can handle it”. As a year passed by, your drinking habit only worsened but you still managed to ace your classes and somehow function with all the alcohol that was in your system.
“That’s the last time I’ll ever drink Seungkwan, I promise,” you stuck your pinky finger towards him, wiggling it as you waited for him to wrap his own around your finger. You really wanted to stop and this time, you wanted to keep your promise to your bestfriend to ease the worries he had for you and your health. Seungkwan could only sigh at his bestfriend as he took your pinky finger around his.
“I made you hangover soup y/n” is all he said after he turned on his heel and left your room with a quiet sigh. You looked around your room, the curtains still shut to prevent any source of light from shining through the window but the god awful smell of alcohol that reeked in your room was enough for you to stand up and pull the curtains open. You nudged the window with your hand and the sudden gust of wind had you almost stepping back by its force. You still welcomed it and as you cleaned around your room, the smell of alcohol slowly dissipated (with the help of some yankee candles).
When you entered the kitchen, the smell of bacon made your stomach churn and your nose wrinkle at the slight scent of burning food. “Seungkwan! your bacon is burning,” you yelled, walking over to remove the bacon from the frying pan. You heard Seungkwan yell something you couldn’t quite hear so you shrugged and turned off the hob. Your eyes landed on the hangover soup he made you and your stomach growled at the sight.
“Thanks for the soup, Kwannie,” you yelled out to him.
You were thankful for the fact that your photography lecture didn’t start until one in the afternoon so you had plenty of time to soothe your headache and plan out your night carefully without having to involve bottles and bottles of soju this time. You wanted to go up to the rooftop to retrieve your notebook that you forgot to take before leaving the handsome stranger all alone.
Your mind wandered back to him. You remembered the panic in his eyes when he saw the blood gushing down your elbow and it made you chuckle slightly. You lifted up your elbow to glance down if a scab was starting to form on the wound. Your grimaced at the sight and continued to eat your soup again.
“Hey, I found this in your jacket,” Seungkwan held up some bloody tissues with a worried look on his face. You shook your head at him, raising your pointer finger asking him to wait.
“I fell yesterday,” you finally spoke once your mouth was clear of any traces of food. Seungkwan quirked an eyebrow at you, his hands settling on his hips to wait for an explanation.
“I was up at the rooftop last night and some guy pushed the door open and I happened to be sitting right in front of it which was totally my fault,” you explained. You watched as your bestfriend sighed, walking over to the bin to throw at the tissues.
“You should be more careful next time y/n.”
“Sorry Seungkwan,” you picked at your food guiltily. You didn’t want to worry him all the time but you always manage to anyway. He watched you pick at your food for a while before making his way over towards you.
“Look at me,” he muttered softly, bringing his hand under your chin. You raised your head to look up at him. He gave you a small smile before pressing his lips on your forehead.
“You know I’ll always be here for you y/n, right?”
Wonwoo awoke not too long ago because of Seokmin and Mingyu yet again. He rolled his eyes when he heard Mingyu yelling as Seokmin chased him around the house. He stretched his arms above his head, his top slowly riding up to reveal a small section of his lower stomach. He grabbed his glasses that were sitting on his bedside table along with the notebook that belonged to you.
He mentally noted to ask Minghao if he knew anyone called “y/n”. It seemed like you were an art student so Minghao was the first person he thought of. He stood up from his made and made his way over to his bathroom to start getting ready for his morning lectures.
He brushed his teeth slowly, his mind wandering back to how you cursed at him last night which made him chuckle at the memory. He didn’t mean to continue flipping through your artwork last night but he was mesmirised by your pieces. He even found a picture of you tucked between the last few pages of your notebook and he admired the small smile that you gave the camera.
“WONU!” Mingyu yelled from outside, making him slightly choke on water as he gargled.
“Food’s ready downstairs!”
“I’ll be out in a sec Mingyu.”
You fished out your phone from your pocket, turning the flashlight on to help you see the rusty stairs better. The sound of the stairs leading to the rooftop creaked slightly with every step you took.
“These steps are going to break one of these days,” you muttered to yourself, keeping the cup of coffee near your chest to warm you up. The weather didn’t co-operate with you tonight. You were forced to wear something warm by your bestfriend and he even made you wear a beanie to protect your head from the cold.
As soon as you got to the top, you pushed the door open with your frame. When the steel door finally opened, you quickly heard a loud thud when it hit something or someone as soon as it opened.
“Shit,” you heard a deep voice say from the other side.
“Fuck, I’m so sorry,” you began to apologise as you pulled the door shut to reveal the person that was standing behind it and to your surprise, you found the stranger from last night, clutching his arm tightly. You both gave each other a look of shock before bursting out into a fit of laughter.
“You again?” you both said at the same time.
“I guess I deserved that,” Wonwoo said, sitting back down on the ground. You gave him a guilty look before sitting beside him.
“I’m really sorry about your arm,” you said, poking it before sipping on your hot coffee. He quirked an eyebrow at you, “I’m surprised you’re not cursing me out right now.” You gave him another guilty look, blowing on your coffee and taking another sip to before answering him.
“That wasn’t me yesterday,” you said, giggling as Wonwoo rolled his eyes at you.
“I don’t even know your name,” you laughed.
“I remember you giving me a name last night though.”
“What?”
“Yeah, something along the lines of idiot,” he teased, watching as your eyes widened in surprise again.
“I’m so embarrassing,” you groaned, placing your coffee on the ground to cover your heating face with your hands. You heard Wonwoo laugh at your embarrassment, patting your back as you continued to mutter words to yourself.
“Don’t sweat about it y/n,” he giggled. Your ears perked up to the sound of your name leaving his lips, not remembering if you told him your name or not.
“How’d you know my name,” you asked, removing your hands away from your face. He gave you a shy smile before pulling your missing notebook out of his jacket. He waved it around before handing it back to you.
“You forgot this last night and I may have snooped around.”
“Oh.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to..I was just really intrigued by your art. They’re all amazing by the way,” he complimented, rubbing the back of his neck while looking at you.
“Oh no, it’s absolutely okay. Thanks for bringing it back to me and thanks for the compliments,” you shyly replied, picking up your cup of coffee again. Comfortable silence enveloped you while you both looked at the bright moon. You suddenly remembered why you were up here.
“Shoot,” you whispered, fishing out your camera that was tucked carefully in your jacket.
“Do you mind if I do something for my photography class?” you glaced at Wonwoo.
“No go ahead,” he smiled.
Wonwoo watched as you brought the camera up to face, adjusting the lens before taking multiple shots of the night sky. Wonwoo would be lying if he didn’t think the view before him was mesmerising. He didn’t know why the beating of his heart fastened when you looked satisfied at the shots you took.
“Can I ask for your opinion...” you started.
“Wonwoo.”
“Right, so can I ask for your opinion on these pictures Wonwoo?” you shyly asked him, tucking piece of hair behind your ear.
“Let me see them,” he scooted closer to you, leaning down to look at the pictures.
And that’s how you and Wonwoo spent the rest of the night, chatting about your art, his course and anything that you and him could think of. You and Wonwoo didn’t realise it was past one in the morning until Seungkwan texted you to come home.
“Oh shit,” you muttered, quickly standing up and gathering your notebook and the empty cup of coffee in your hands. Wonwoo also stood up, taking his phone out before thrusting it in your direction.
“C-can I maybe have your number y/n? I’d really like to talk to you more,” he asked, his ears turning red at his own question. You nodded, taking his phone to put your number in his contacts.
“I’ll walk you back to your apartment if you want?” he offered.
“If it’s not too much to ask,” you replied, chucking the empty cup into the bed as soon as you got down from the rooftop.
“Let’s get you home then.”
You tapped your fingers on your thighs, waiting patiently for Wonwoo to come pick you up from your apartment. It had been four months since you and Wonwoo met on the rooftop. You both realised how much you complimented each other. It was nice that he got you to experience some of his hobbies while you taught him the things you were learning in your photography lectures. He was also patient with you whenever you were in one of your moods while you gave him the space he needed whenever he was having a hard time with things he would rather not tell you, yet.
Seungkwan and Mingyu even thought that you and him were good for each other. You were barely drinking now and even if you did, it was always with Wonwoo at the convenience store, talking about everything and anything your minds could think of.
You’ve grown to love Wonwoo’s company.
Woo 🐱: I’m outside your apartment bld ☺️
You: Be down in a sec 💕
You yelled out to Seungkwan that you were going, slipping your shoes on by the door before leaving your apartment with a big smile on your face. You and Wonwoo decided to visit the museum outside your university campus. You were excited to to find some inspiration for your upcoming art project and Wonwoo just wanted to spend time with you.
“Hey,” you walked over to Wonwoo, giving him a side hug.
“Do you think you’d be able to come with me to the recording studio after going to the museum?” he grabbed your elbow before crossing the street to get to the bus stop.
“Yeah, are you and Jihoon recording a new song?” you hummed, taking out your bus card when you saw the bus approaching.
“Yeah, it’s for our music theory class. Jihoon wanted to put some vocals on his new track so he asked me to be his partner.”
You’ve never heard Wonwoo sing but according to Mingyu and Soonyoung, he sounded angelic whenever he sung.
“Can’t wait,” you tapped your bus card, taking a seat at the back by the window. Wonwoo followed you, sitting beside and leaning his head on your shoulder. He yawned, closing his eyes and nuzzling his head against your shoulder.
“Tired?”
“Just a little bit,” he yawned again.
“I’ll wake you up when we’re near.”
You walked around the museum in silence with your notebook in hand, doodling some pieces that sparked your interest. Wonwoo, on the other hand, read each and every information that came along with the art pieces. You found it adorable when he would tilt his head as he focused on reading the information. He would look at you whenever you giggled at him, smiling and nudging you with his hip.
Your eyes landed on the final artwork in the museum, a grin making its way to your face. It was a simple artwork of the moon but the different shades of dark colours to mimic the sky made you more and more interested in the artwork. Wonwoo finally caught up to you and stood by your side.
“I..i think this is my favourite out of them all y/n,” he whispered beside you.
“Mine too.” You took out your notebook again, doodling on your notebook while Wonwoo watched you. You didn’t notice that Wonwoo took out his phone and backed away from you slightly. He tapped his phone to get his camera to focus on you, taking a picture of you as you doodled on your notebook.
“Beautiful,” he whispered quietly.
You looked up at Wonwoo, smiling brightly at him.
“I think I’m done ‘Woo,” you finally showed him your drawing, his eyes looking at the artwork.
“You’re so talented y/n!” He ruffled your hair before placing his arm around your shoulder. Wonwoo and you looked at the artwork for the last time.
“To the studio we go?”
“To the studio we go.”
“If you keep staring at Wonwoo like that, he might melt,” Mingyu sneaked up from behind you. You jolted in your seat, clutching your chest as you tried to calm your beating heart.
“Are you serious Kim Mingyu?”
“I didn’t realise you were this jumpy y/n.”
You threw a piece of crumpled paper at his face which he dodged, knocking the spare seat along the way. This caught the attention of a couple of people that were quietly sipping on their beverages in the coffee shop. Wonwoo watched you and Mingyu bicker while he took another coffee order. He chuckled softly when he saw you throw another piece of crumpled paper at Mingyu’s face.
While you and Mingyu were bickering about your apparent feelings for Wonwoo, both of you didn’t notice Wonwoo’s face drop when his ex-girlfriend entered the coffee shop. Mingyu finally looked up to find Wonwoo arguing with Jiyeon at the side of the coffee shop. Seungcheol who now took over Wonwoo’s shift, glanced at the younger male with worry evident on his face.
You didn’t notice what was happening until Mingyu tapped your shoulder.
“C-can you do me a favour y/n?”
You hummed in response, looking up to see Mingyu’s face. You dropped your pencil immediately and gave all your attention to Mingyu.
“I need you to pretend to be Wonwoo’s girlfriend like right now,” he blurted out.
“What the fuck?”
He nibbled on his lower lip before pointing his finger at Wonwoo who looked distressed as he talked to a girl you didn’t recognise.
“Who-”
“Wonwoo’s ex-girlfriend who cheated on him.”
With that piece of information, you stood up quickly and made your way towards Wonwoo. You looped your arms through his and placed your head on his arm.
“Baby,” you whined, catching both of their attention.
“I-”
“You have a girlfriend now Wonwon?” she sounded hurt as she looked you up and down.
Wonwoo cleared his throat, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you closer to him.
“Yeah, now please leave before my girlfriend makes a scene. And you wouldn’t like that. Trust me.”
You waved at her mockingly, grabbing Wonwoo’s hand and dragging him where you and Mingyu were sat at.
“I want the ground to swallow me whole,” you groaned when you and the boys watched Jiyeon disappear from the coffee shop.
“You owe ME Jeon!”
“How about a free kiss?” Mingyu suggested making you and Wonwoo glare at him.
“How about an explanation? Meet me at the rooftop at 8 tonight?” he glanced at the clock, realising that his break was nearly over.
“I’ll see you later,” he placed a quick peck on your forehead, leaving you and Mingyu by yourselves again.
“Forehead kisses, multiple dates and rooftop sessions? And you two still AREN’T dating?!”
“Oh fuck off Kim Mingyu.”
“So she fucking cheated on you and now she’s asking for you to take her back?”
Wonwoo nodded, eating another cheeseball that you bought for him before coming up to the rooftop.
And are you going to?” you asked nervously, not knowing why your heart hurt at the thought of Wonwoo taking back Jiyeon. It’s not like there was anything going on between you two, you thought.
You saw him hesitate, swallowing another cheeseball.
“I kinda thought about it but no, I’m never going to take her back. I don’t want to go through the pain all over again.”
You sighed in relief, “Good.”
“Why? You scared I won’t spend as much time with you anymore?”
“To be honest, yeah.”
Wonwoo watched you shyly eat a piece of chicken, avoiding his eyes. He scooted closer to you until your arms were touching. He placed an arm around your waist and placed his head on top of yours.
“Never, sweetheart. You’re very special to me, you know,” he whispered softly.
“O-okay.”
You were gasping for air once you woke up from your dream. You saw the look of disappointment on his face again, making your heart clench with sadness all over again.
“Not again,” you cried, placing your covers over your mouth to muffle your cries. Your hands were shaking at this point and you knew you were having an episode again. You tried to breathe calmly but memories of your time with him kept appearing in your mind.
“F-fuck,” you reached out to grab your phone from the bedside table. You dialled Wonwoo’s number, placing the phone on your ear. After the fifth ring, Wonwoo picked up humming as you called out his name.
“H-help me,” you cried, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tried to tell him the passcode to your apartment door.
“I’m on my way sweetheart. Please breathe for me okay? I’ll be there in no time.”
Wonwoo arrived ten minutes later, panting when he finally entered your room. He rushed over to your bed and removed your covers so that he could take you in his arms.
“I’m here baby, i’m here,” he took you in his lap, and began to rock you body gently to soothe your cries.
“I’m right here,” he pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head, on your forehead and finally, on your cheek.
You gripped his shirt while you attempted to calm yourself down. You focused on his lips and then on his hushed voice.
“Woo,” you finally called out.
“I’m here y/n.”
“I’m s-sorry I called you here.”
“Don’t, you know I’ll always be here.”
After that night, you made it your job to avoid Wonwoo at all cost. You were embarrassed. You also realised how attached you’ve become to him. Seungkwan tried to get you to meet up with him and even Mingyu begged for you to stop avoiding Wonwoo.
“You’re leaving him in the dark y/n,” Seungkwan argued for the nth time. You sighed, leaning your canvas on the wall.
“I’m really busy Kwannie, can we not talk about this today?”
“Just admit that you’ve grown feelings for Wonwoo and you’re afraid that he might leave you!” Seungkwan blurted out. You dropped your paintbrush on the ground when Seungkwan snapped at you.
“I KNOW!” Seungkwan flinched as you yelled back at him.
“I’m scared I might lose him too but you can’t blame me for my own trauma Seungkwan! Now get out,” you picked up your brush again, turning your back away from him.
You knew you were dreaming. It had to be a dream because he was here. He was in your arms while you talked about your on going piece of artwork. Vernon leaned his head on your chest while he played with your fingers that were placed on his chest.
“I love you, you know that right?”
You gripped his fingers tightly in your hands, not wanting to let him go incase he disappeared like he always did whenever you had a dream about him.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t do anything to save you, Vernon-”
“Shh, what happened to me was not your fault y/n,” he got up from where he was laying on your chest and took you in his lap.
“Nothing was your fault, okay?” he kissed your forehead.
“I shouldn’t have fought with you that day,” you mumbled, tears starting to stream down your cheeks. You gripped his shirt as he continued to whisper calming words into your ear.
“I want you to be happy. I’m at peace now, y/n.” Vernon kissed your cheek before he disappeared again.
You jolted awake, gasping for air again. Clutching your chest, you called out for Seungkwan who heard you since he was sweeping outside your door. He barged in with the sweeping brush in his hand.
“Vernon again?” You nodded, sniffling while you opened your arms for him.
“I know he’s watching over you y/n.”
You sobbed in his shirt, seeping the piece of clothing with your tears. Seungkwan’s heart broke when he continued to rub your back. He shook his head at how unfair the world could be. You didn’t deserve the heart ache of losing Vernon to a crash. You didn’t deserve to lose the man that was once the love of your life.
“What happened to Vernon wasn’t your fault, y/n.”
“I-i know,” you breathed out, “V-vernon told me it wasn’t. Seungkwan, he finally talked to me in my dreams.”
Seungkwan gave you a soft smile, soothing you with comforting words again.
“I know he’d love for you to be happy with Wonwoo.”
A month passed by when you saw Wonwoo again. It was only for a couple of minutes until him and Jihoon entered the studio. Despite only seeing him for a few minutes, you noticed the dark circles under his eyes and the smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes when he looked at you.
You clutched the canvas tighter against your chest as you made your way to the arts building to go into the studio to finally finish your painting that was going to be included in the exhibition a few days. When you entered the studio, you flicked the lights on and settled your canvas against the wall. You rolled your sleeves up and began to prepare your paints and paintbrushes that were going to finalise your artwork.
It took you 5 hours to complete your painting, your cheek and denim overalls sporting splotches of paint on them. You stood back and admired your work of art. You fished out your phone and captured a picture of your painting to send to Seungkwan.
While you were cleaning your brushes, your mind wandered back to a memory that inspired your artwork.
You and Wonwoo were walking home after spending hours on the rooftop. He urged you to go to the rooftop after he had a rough day. When you arrived at the rooftop, Wonwoo was already sitting on the ground with a can of beer clutched in his hand. He heard you but he didn’t bother turning around with how tired he was. You leaned down behind Wonwoo and wrapped your arms around him, placing your chin on his shoulder. You remembered Wonwoo spilling everything that went wrong that day while you hugged him tighter to calm him down.
After spending hours on the rooftop, he decided to walk you home. He was back to his normal self, nudging you with his hip as he teased you about hugging him on the rooftop for hours. You giggled when he tipsily laughed at a joke you told him. You reached for your phone that was in the back pocket of your jeans.
You quickly took a picture of Wonwoo while he laughed at another joke you told him.
“Hey! No fair,” he whined, chasing you down the empty streets of Seoul.
“Hey y/n, are you inviting Wonwoo to the exhibition?” Seungkwan chewed on a piece of gum while typing something on his phone.
“I already did.”
“What did he say?”
“Left me on read.”
“I’m sure he’ll come y/n,” Seungkwan reassured, squeezing your hand.
It was the day of the exhibition and you were walking around the hall to look at your other classmates’ paintings. You chatted to some of them and complimented them on their work while they gushed about yours. They loved the idea of your painting of the moon and a boy who was admiring the night sky. You thanked her, smiling at her art work again.
The event was coming to an end but you saw no sight of Wonwoo. Mingyu, Jihoon and even Soonyoung dropped by to see your work of art. The three of them admired your painting for awhile until it finally clicked in their minds who the boy was. They whipped their heads towards you at the same time, wearing matching smirks to tease you.
“Wonwoo huh?” Mingyu wiggled his eyebrows making you chuckle at him.
“Do you know if he’s coming?” you bit your lower lip, fiddling with your hands as you awaited for their answer.
The three boys looked at you with sympathetic smiles, “We’re not sure y/n.” They bid you goodbye after you chatted with them for a while, leaving you on your own again. Some people came up to you to ask you about your painting, asking what prompted you to paint the moon and a boy.
“Just someone special,” you smiled at the old lady.
The event came to an end at 8pm and your professor thanked all of you for presenting your paintings to the public. You were beyond tired when you grabbed your back from the staff room, wanting nothing more than to pick up some food from your favourite takeaway shop and watch reruns of your favourite show with Seungkwan.
You were the last person to leave the hall as your other classmates have already left while you were grabbing your belongings. You would be lying if you said that you weren’t disappointed that Wonwoo didn’t come to the event. However, you knew it was your fault for pushing him away when all he wanted was to be there for you.
You started walking away from the hall, halting once you heard a familiar voice calling out your name. You froze when you heard footsteps nearing you. He was here, you thought.
You turned around to see Wonwoo with a small bouquet of flowers in his hand. He smiled softly at you once he was in front of you. Wonwoo handed you the flowers and you gladly took them from his hand.
“I didn’t want to disturb you when you were talking to people so I decided not to come up to you and just admire your work from afar.”
“Did you like it?”
“I loved it y/n,” he stared at you, silence enveloping you both.
“Good, you were the inspiration for that painting,” you sheepishly revealed. He blushed at your words, tucking his hands behind the pockets of his jeans.
“How about I walk you back to your apartment?”
“I’d love that.”
You walked side by side in comfortable silence with only the noises of passing cars filling in the silence that enveloped you both. It was nice seeing Wonwoo again and you loved the new hair colour he was sporting now.
When you neared your apartment building, Wonwoo spotted the playground that he frequently passed by whenever he collected you from your apartment. He nudged your hip with his own, pointing at the swings nearby.
“Wanna chat for a bit?” You could only nod, following him as he led the way to the swings. You sat down on of the swings while he sat on the other, immediately pushing himself off. You watched in amusement as he got higher and higher, wanting to do the same. But you were too tired to even move your legs so you decided just to watch him goof off.
“Woo,” you called out.
He suddenly stopped, using his feet to stop himself from swinging any further. He turned towards you, raising his eyebrows to urge you to speak.
“I-i’m really sorry for avoiding you,” you started, fiddling with the flowers that laid on your lap.
“Wanna tell me why you did?”
You looked up at him, his eyes staring intently at you. You gulped, feeling nervous the more he looked at you with curious eyes.
“I didn’t want you to get to close..because I was afraid I’d lose you like I lost my ex-boyfriend,” you confessed, running your hand through your hair. You saw him furrow his eyebrows, probably confused as to why you were afraid of losing him when you knew he wasn’t going anywhere.
“H-he died after a drunk driver knocked him over,” you whispered, “He was going home after we argued at my apartment and that was the last conversation we had before he died the same night.”
Wonwoo gasped softly, standing up and kneeling in front of you. He tilted your head up with his pointer finger to get you to look at him. You didn’t resist, wanting nothing more but to look at Wonwoo. Tears started to form in your eyes once they met his.
“I’m really sorry Woo,” you sobbed, pulling him into a hug. He hugged you tightly, both of you nuzzling your heads into each other’s necks. You and him stayed in that position until he his knee started aching.
“You gotta let go of me for a bit, baby, my knees are starting to ache.” With the mention of the term of endearment, your heartbeat quickened.
“Baby huh?” You asked, your eyebrow raised at him.
“Yeah, because you’re my baby now,” he teased, offering you his hand to take. You gladly accepted it, swinging it softly as you and him continued to walk to your apartment building.
“I’ve something for you to listen to before you go to sleep, baby,” he smiled. You turned your head towards him, seeing the faint blush that coloured his cheeks. “What is it?” you asked. “I already sent it to you, you just have to play it when you get home okay?” You nodded, wrapping your arms around his torso. You rested your chin against his chest while you both stood outside your apartment building. You didn’t want to let him go nor did he want to leave you just yet.
“Wanna go out on a date with me tomorrow?” he asked, leaning down to peck your forehead with his lips. You nodded again, placing the side of your head against his chest. “I’d love to.”
“No more running away okay?” You pinched his back lightly before nodding again to reassure him that you weren’t going anywhere again. Despite the fear of losing him in the future lingering in the back of your mind, you were only certain of one thing. You were completely and utterly in love with the man who pushed a steel door against your body that one strange night. He was someone that your heart was longing for and he was the one who helped you heal your heart piece by piece like you did with his.

Grim Reaper 【Souichi x Reader】 (Fluff)
Souichi claims he's been cursed. Now everything he touches dies! However, that doesn't stop him from spending time with you. Can you hold back from touching the boy and dying? Let's find out~~~!! ahahaha
(I think this counts as affectionate!reader but idk lol)
Souichi carefully held onto the drink in his hand as he sat back down in between your legs.
Resting his body against your soft chest, you wrapped your arms around his waist. He was completely engulfed by your love. Although he was a bit embarrassed at first by how affectionate you could be, it had become a habit for him to want to be so close to you all the time.
【And now back to ‘DEATH’S ASSISTANT’】
Souichi took a sip of his drink as the show you two had been hooked on recently started back up.
It was a Japanese drama about a Grim Reaper who had been assigned a foreign assistant. Apparently, they fell for one another as soon as their eyes met. Every day they tell each other how much they love one another, but because of Death’s curse, he is unable to touch his love. The show depicts their everyday work lives. Showing how far they would go for one another to prove their love, but never being able to be truly affectionate. Souichi wasn’t really into these types of lovey-dovey dramas, but the supernatural antics that it included drew him in deeper and deeper.
【Assistant, we cant! You know if we touch, you’ll die!】
【I would risk dying a million times just to feel your lips pressed against mine even just once, Death~.】
“Guuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!”
Souichi laughed as you pressed your face into the crook of his neck. The scene was so cheesy and overdone, but you loved it. For a morbid girl, you really were a sucker for love stories.
“You’re gonna miss the show if you don’t look up.” Souichi chuckle and patted your head.
Resting your chin on his shoulder, you continued to watch the last few minutes left of the drama.
“Death really outdid it with his outfit today, huh?” Souichi commented.
In today’s episode, Death had been wearing a bright red suit with a black suit-shirt instead of his usual black suit and black tie.
“I think it really suits him.”
“You think everything suits him.”
“Of course. If you’re handsome, then anything and everything looks good on you.”
Souichi lifted his shoulder up towards his head, squishing your face against him.
“Owwww Owowowow!!”
“What’s so handsome about that old actor?”
Souichi finally released the pressure, allowing you to relax.
Pulling your head away from his body, you rubbed your cheeks.
“Hmm…Well, for one his eyes are absolutely beautiful. Thin, sharp, and the dark circles around them make him look so mysterious. And his dark, wavy hair looks so soft! I just want to run my hands through it as mess it up even more.”
Souichi couldn’t help but let out a small laugh as you described what you found attractive about the ‘dreamy man’ on the television. He honestly felt like you were just describing him. He knew you must have a type, but he didn’t think it would be this similar to him every time. You must have felt like you won the jackpot with him.
“But what I really like is the fact that he’s always wearing a suit.” Wrapping your arms back around his waist, you squeezed him a bit “You can tell his assistant also thinks the same thing because she's always staring at him. She just wants to touch him soooo much. But she knows she'll die if she does! Haa~~ I love it!”
Souichi hummed in amusement as he listened to you speak.
Seeing that he fit all the other conditions you looked for in a guy, Souichi thought of a perfect way he could use this little fantasy you love so much for his amusement.
________________________
When the next night came, Souichi quickly got to preparing himself. He had asked if he could go over to watch a movie tonight.
He usually didn’t pay much attention to what he wore whenever he hung out alone with you. But tonight, he decided to mix things up a bit.
Making sure he had everything he needed in his pockets, Souichi set off to your house.
Creepily excited laughter slipped from the boy’s lips as he walked down the street by himself. He couldn’t wait to see your reaction when you laid your eyes upon him.
Finally reaching your front door, he knocked.
“Good evening~” Souichi greeted as you opened the door.
Before you could greet the boy back, you froze. Your mouth gaped open and your eyes widened as you looked upon your boyfriend.
“S…SS..S-Suit..Suitsuitsuit…” You brought your hands up to your face, unsure where to place them. This was the first time you had ever seen him wearing such an outfit before.
Finally bringing your hands out towards Souichi, you tried to touch him.
“Ah!” Souichi quickly jumped back. “You can’t.”
A look of worry and confusion grew on your face as the boy rejected your touch.
“Remember when I called you this morning and said I might have messed up a curse?”
You shook your head yes.
“Well, it turns out that as a side effect, whatever I touch now dies almost immediately.”
Leaning against the doorframe, you looked at the boy with a smile of disbelief.
“You’re just copying ‘Death’s Assistant’ aren’t you.”
Souichi hated how well you could read him. But that didn’t mean he was going to admit that you were right. At least not right now.
“No! I swear.” Sliding one hand into his suit pocket, he leaned down onto the grass that covered your front yard. “Every time I touch something as delicate as a flower…” Pulling out his hand from his pocket, he placed it over a daisy that had been growing for some time. “Well... This happens.” Moving back up, Souichi revealed that the flower he touched had shriveled up and died.
“No way…” You whispered as he allowed the dead flower to trickle onto the palm on your hands.
“Yeah…It’s a bummer.” Placing his foot over the real flower still planted in the ground, he tried to hide the evidence. “But I’m sure this curse will wear off by next week. 2 weeks at most.”
You quickly moved to the side as Souichi let himself into your home.
“What are you doing? Wouldn’t it be dangerous for us to be together right now?”
“I’m sure we’ll be fine. As long as we don’t touch that is.” Giving you a smile, Souichi kicked off his shoes and made his way down to your bedroom.
As the raven-haired boy walked down the hall, he moved his hands close to the wall, just barely coming into contact with the wallpaper. He honestly thought it would be really cool if he could make the wallpaper roll up and crumble into pieces just from touching it. Just like in the drama. Perhaps there really was a curse out there that would give him that ability.
Finally reaching your room, he took ahold of the door handle and gestured for you to go in first. Being in a suit really did make him feel like more of a gentleman. It was kind of fun.
Sitting on your bed, Souichi watched as you set up the DVD player.
He tried to hold back his foolish laughter as he thought about how miserable you were going to be all night from not being able to touch him.
You. The girl who could barely go 5 minutes without at least leaning against his shoulder, was now being forced to keep her hands to herself in order to avoid never waking up again.
This was gonna be hilarious.
“So, lemme ask you.” You pulled the boy out of his own little world as you sat on the bed with him. “Why the suit?”
“The suit? Oh. Umm…” Souichi’s mind froze for a second. He was going to say an excuse that all his other clothes suddenly turn to dust when he touched them, but now that sounded extremely stupid and unbelievable. Especially since he was able to touch your bedsheets with no problem. “…To match the whole ‘death’ theme...”
“Oh~ That makes sense. Always gotta be prepared for a funeral when everything you touch dies, right?”
“Exactly!”
Souichi let out a small sigh of relief as you commented an equally believable reason for the suit. He was glad you were almost always on the same level as him.
Finally dropping the subject, you pressed the button on the remote for the movie to play.
Souichi tapped his finger against the bed in annoyance as you kept a good amount of distance from him. It didn’t seem like you would try to touch him any time soon.
Looks like he needed to take things up a notch if he wanted to have some real fun.
Leaning forward, he swiftly took off his black jacket. You quickly ducked as his hand almost came in contact with your head.
Leaning his arm on your pillow, he relaxed his body. A single nail stayed poking out from between his lips, making it look like he was smoking.
Souichi couldn't help but smile as he saw you take quick glances at him. Your eyes kept moving from his pants to his white suit shirt, and finally to his face. He could see a blush spread across your cheeks as you quickly turned away from him, avoiding his gaze. You looked completely head over heels for him.
Sliding to the side, you leaned ever so close to the boy.
“Does the ‘being killed on the spot’ rule apply even over clothes~?” A blush spread across his pale face as you whispered in his ear, making sure not to come into direct contact with his shoulder. He could see your hand hovering over his suit pants, craving to touch the expensive-looking material.
Did you really not believe him or were you just begging to die?
Moving a bit away from you, he replied. “Probably not a good idea. Haven’t tested that out yet…” He let out a little laugh as he mentioned how awkward it would be for him to have to wake up your family and tell them that he killed you by accident.
Souichi looked from the corner of his eyes as you let out a small sigh and moved back into your own little space. This sudden rule of no touching looked like it was taking a toll on you.
Honestly, he was expecting you to be a bit more excited by this situation. After all, this was one of your favorite fantasies. To love one another, but never be able to touch unless you were willing to die on the spot. You should be spewing cheesy lines like in the drama, not sulking.
Moving the nails against his teeth, he tried to think of a way to fix things. After all, this wouldn’t be fun if you got too sad and decided to stop acting like your usual self halfway through the night.
Moving his arm out towards you, he pulled on the edge of his suit jacket.
“I think it’d be fine if you held onto this though…” He turned his face to the side, trying to hide his blush as you smiled once again.
Throughout the movie, Souichi kept his arm up in the air as you happily held onto his jacket. His body felt oddly unsatisfied from not being properly touched by you. But, this was his own fault for deciding to go through with such a cold prank.
You both stayed surprisingly calm and silent as the movie played on.
Souichi kept the nails in his mouth pressed tightly against his teeth as he kept his eyes on the screen. The movie you chose wasn’t half bad at all. The effects, the props, the acting. All very realistic. To be expected from new foreign movies.
However, this feeling of calmness didn’t last long as an unnecessarily long make-out scene between the main characters had started up again. Another specialty of foreign horror movies. The acting for these scenes just had to be extremely believable as well…
Souichi tensed up a bit as he felt you let go of his jacket, finally allowing him to rest his hand back down near his body.
It wasn’t that he disliked these types of scenes. But something about watching them alone with you always made him feel a bit restless.
Souichi moved his legs closer to his body, trying to get in a more comfortable position. He really regretted starting this whole ‘touch me and you’ll die’ prank now.
Pulling on the black-tie wrapped around his neck, he tried to calm himself down.
“People get really horny right before they die, huh?…”
Souichi noticed you jolt a bit at the sound of his voice. All he got in response from you was a little ‘yeah’ and an awkward laugh.
As the teens on the screen started to undress, Souichi noticed you also start to fidget around in your spot. You looked like you wanted to sit closer to him, but you knew you couldn’t.
Shakily bringing your hand over his leg again, you whispered. “Are you sure I’ll die if I touch you over your clothes?...”
This time he didn’t say anything. Instead, he just moved his leg closer to you, giving you an okay to try and touch him.
He watched as you cautiously placed the tips of your fingers on his knee. You let out a sigh of relief as you realized you were going to die from touching him over his clothes.
Careful not to accidentally touch any part of his body not covered by his clothes, you turned towards his.
Pinching the fabric of his suit jacket, you pulled his hand up. Souichi’s heartbeat sped up as you moved his bare hand to touch your clothed breast.
“Looks like it works both ways. As long as your skin doesn’t come into direct contact with mine, I’ll be just fine.”
Souichi’s eyes followed your hands as they moved back towards his pants once more.
You were really pushing the envelope.
But, if you were gonna play like that, then he saw no harm in playing along as well.
Sliding his hand down from your chest to your waist, he pulled you to come closer to him.
“That means we can’t do anything more than this though…” Souichi whisper as he inched his face closer to yours. “We should stop now before we do something that can’t be undone.” He teased you with lies, practically ordering you to go further.
“You don’t wanna die from one of my curses, do you?”
“It’d be a blessing to die from one of your curses…”
Something within Souichi switched on as he heard you whisper your confession to him. That felt like the most romantic thing you'd ever said to him.
Without saying another word, Souichi pressed his lips against yours. To think he was the one who ended up not being able to hold back from you this time.
Suddenly, pressing your hands against his shoulder, you pushed yourself away from the kiss.
“Agk! My heart!” Holding your hand against your chest, you threw yourself back to lay on the bed. “I…I!!! Gah…”
Souichi couldn’t help but laugh as you pretended to die in an over-exaggerated manner.
You opened one of your eyes, looked at the boy, and then closed it again. Souichi could see you trying your best to hold back a smile as you laid perfectly still.
“You knew I wasn’t cursed the entire time, didn’t you?”
“...Was it that obvious?” You laughed a bit as you finally sat back up.
“When did you figure out I was lying?”
“Hmm~”
You just hummed and swayed your head side to side. Not telling him when you knew for a fact he was not actually cursed.
“If I can be honest, you should have said something more believable for the suit. Then maybe I would have believed you completely." Leaning up against the boy you thought for a second. "Like umm... All your other clothes disintegrated the second you touched them. But because you've worn this suit to a funeral before, it was the only thing that stayed intact."
"Ahh!! I swear I was gonna say that!!"
You let out a hum and looked at the boy once again with a smile of disbelief.
"I swear!"
Getting up from the bed, he put on his suit jacket again.
"Let's restart." He sat back down on the edge of your bed. "Ask me why I'm wearing a suit."
"Okay." You also moved to sit on the edge, next to him. "Hey, Souichi. Why are you--" Unconsciously, your hand brushed up against his. "AGK!" You threw your body back and pretended to die again.
"No!! Y/N!!" He picked you up by your shoulders and forced you to sit back up. "Again."
As his hands moved away from your shoulders, he accidentally touched your neck. Making you jump back again.
"Agggkk!!"
"Stop dying!!" He yelled as you held your hand up to your neck and pretended to choke and die.
Souichi let out a loud groan as you continued to laugh at his frustrated expression.
This prank wasn't as funny as he thought it would be.

A/N: It’s finally here! I meant for this to be about half the length and be released more than a week or 2 ago, but as you very well know, things don’t exactly go as planned in 2020. Regardless, I enjoyed writing this fic a lot, so please let me know what you think!
--
Saturdays at 3 am were supposed to be peaceful.
Well – at your apartment, that is. You couldn’t account for whoever elected to roam the streets of downtown at night.
But what was definitely not supposed to be happening was being awoken from your deep slumber by furious pounding on your front door.
Oh, for fuck’s sake.
When you glanced groggily over at your alarm clock and saw the time, you could have screamed.
Just as you reached for your phone to call the cops on whatever psychopath was probably waking up your entire floor, your screen lit up with a text.
Suckjin [03:19]: plz open ur door
Oh, for fuck’s sake.
Sliding out of bed, you hissed as your bare feet hit the cold hardwood.
This had better be fucking worth it.
Plodding out of your bedroom on tiptoes to avoid as much contact with the floor as possible, you made your way to the front door without even bothering to throw on shorts under your oversized t-shirt.
Whatever. You were sure that brat has seen thighs before.
While the knocks had thankfully quieted for a moment, he started up again just as you reached the door.
Before he could even dare bang his fist against the wood again, you were turning the deadbolt and whipping the door open, readying your fiercest glare for the broad man standing before you.
Right as you opened your mouth to start cussing him out, he sprung towards you, hands pushing you further inside your apartment and shutting the door before you could even blink.
When he turned to face you again, hands on his stomach, you prepared for the verbal onslaught you were about to send his way.
“Just what in the absolute hell do you think you’re-”
When your eyes naturally followed the path of his arms down to his stomach, what you saw there shut you up immediately.
Wide-eyed, you took a step back, eyes never leaving the sight before you. He-
As your breath quickened, a (miraculously clean) hand shot out to cover your mouth gently, though you were sure he was ready to clamp down at a moment’s notice.
“Please don’t scream.”
When you were finally able to break your gaze from his abdomen and look at his face instead, pleading eyes locked with yours, his skin paler than usual.
As frightened as you were, you calmed some when you processed the fact that he seemed to be standing before you just fine, albeit the fact that his eyes appeared somewhat unfocused.
You nodded, reaching a shaky hand up to remove his from your face, shivering at how cold and clammy he felt.
When you could speak again, you spent a few moments collecting your thoughts before you opened your mouth again.
“You - you have a knife in you!” you hissed, stepping closer to move his jacket aside to get a better look.
It wasn’t that gruesome a sight, especially not when he was wearing a black t-shirt, but it was no less jarring to have your friend show up in the middle of the night after seemingly being stabbed.
“I know that!” he hissed back, slightly exasperated, muffling a groan when you tried to inch his shirt up to glance at the skin beneath.
“Why the hell do you have a knife in you?” you whispered furiously, pulling him by the arm to settle down onto your couch.
He plopped down with a sigh of relief, his head lolling back momentarily. You hoped he knew that he was paying your cleaning bills if he bled all over your loveseat.
“Now, now, didn’t anyone ever tell you not to remove the knife if you get stabbed?” he said with a pained chuckle, sucking in a breath at the movement it caused.
“Seokjin, now is not the time to joke around,” you said, panic rising in you because you had absolutely no clue what you were supposed to do with a vampire who had a knife embedded in him. “Why did you come here?”
“Well you were the only person I could think of who would answer their door at 3 am-”
“Seokjin!”
“Sorry, sorry.” You didn’t tend to call him that unless you were genuinely annoyed, and he seemed to drop the humorous demeanor immediately.
“Why didn’t you go to a hospital?”
“I can’t go to a hospital.”
“What?! Why not?”
“Okay, correction – I didn’t want to go to a hospital.”
You let out a groan of frustration, fingers rubbing circles into your temples. This man was going to be the death of you. You had no idea why vampires seemed to have such an aversion to hospitals, but you supposed you could never understand. Despite their existence being generally accepted in society so long as they didn’t leave trails of bodies in their wake, there must have been some other reason nobody had ever shared with you.
“Seokjin, I really don’t know what to do here,” you whispered, an ounce of desperation and unease making its way into your tone. His expression softened at the sound, reaching for your hand. As much as he might have been trying to comfort you, the feeling of his hand unusually icy against yours only scared you more.
“I...” he trailed off, trying to figure out a good way to phrase this before settling on being straightforward. “...need blood.”
“Huh?” You furrowed your brow. “You literally have blood at home.”
“No, I, uhh...” he paused. “I need fresh blood to heal something like this.”
You froze. He needed fresh blood? He showed up here because he wanted... your blood?
“Aren’t there places you can go for blood?” you asked, tensing up at the notion of being bitten. It wasn’t that you were so totally opposed – it was no secret that people said it felt good. But you had never been bitten before, and you didn’t know what to think about Seokjin showing up here for that reason.
“I came here because I trust you the most,” he said, squeezing your hand. “Please. I promise I would never do this unless I had to. But please – you can say no, but tell me right now, because this hurts so much.”
Seeing his pained expression and feeling the way his fingers gripped yours like a lifeline, there was absolutely no way you were letting him back outside to roam the streets. You had no idea how this really happened to him, but despite their general acceptance, vampire hunters still existed. Like hell you were going to let easy bait walk right into their hands.
Especially not Seokjin.
“I – okay, I just – I don’t know why I’m nervous.” Biting was a pretty private, intimate thing. Most vampires drank bagged blood, with live donors only in carefully-controlled emergency clinics or heavily guarded clubs.
There was, of course, the cases of vampire-human relationships or hookups, but most people didn’t tend to share the ultra-specific details of their sex life.
Not that you had never attempted research on your own, but anecdotes you found on the internet varied so wildly that you had to wonder whether they were even telling the truth.
“I promise I can control myself. I would never put you in danger.”
“No, I know, it’s not that,” you mumbled. “Just... will it hurt?”
“Oh. No, it shouldn’t.”
“It shouldn’t? I don’t know how reassuring that is,” you chuckled nervously. You weren’t about to back out now, but you had at least hoped that he would have a straight answer for you.
He took a shaky breath, and a pang of guilt went through you for asking so many questions.
“The more attracted a vampire and donor are to each other, emotionally and physically, the better it’ll feel for you.”
“And you?”
He smirked, and curse him for making it look good despite his unfortunate... situation. “Me? I’m a vampire, it always feels good.”
Right. You might have facepalmed at the stupid question that left your own lips, but his voice momentarily distracted you from doing so.
“Anyway, I know my face isn’t a problem, so unless you secretly hate me or something, you’ll be okay,” he grinned.
“I’m so glad you can joke around right now,” you snorted derisively. “If I secretly hated you, you wouldn’t be here, would you?”
“Fair.”
“Anyway, I’ll do it, just,” you winced. “Don’t call me a donor. It feels weird.”
“Deal,” he said quickly, pulling you closer to him. “Thank you for this. Really, I owe you.”
You sighed. “I can’t just let you bleed out somewhere in the world, can I?” You allowed him to pull you close enough that you were hovering over him with your legs touching his, and you stood awkwardly in silence. “Uhh, what should I do?”
He patted his lap in invitation and your face warmed at the notion, but you straddled his legs before your brain had time to dwell on it.
He raised a hand to nudge the collar of your shirt away from your neck, his icy fingers and the sensation of his nails on your skin sending a shiver down your spine. When his thumb rubbed gently against the warmth of your neck, you had to suppress a gasp at the surprisingly intimate touch.
When you focused your gaze on his face, his eyes were not fixed on your own, but rather on the movements of his own hand, his pupils obscenely dilated. You’d never seen him look so lustful, so hungry.
Heat undeniably flared in your core (much without your consent), and it was wishful thinking to hope that Seokjin didn’t pick up on your quickening breath or rapid heartbeat.
“I...” he whispered, trailing off before he’d even begun.
“Hm?” you answered, already feeling dazed before his fangs had even touched you.
“I need you to pull the knife out.”
Well, that certainly broke you free of your trance.
“What!? Me? You – I – me?” you stuttered in a very flattering display of eloquence.
“I’m... not sure I have the strength right now,” he admitted ruefully, and you could tell that if it were really up to him, he would be doing it himself.
Just what have you gotten yourself into?
“Fine,” you murmured, raising both hands to grip firmly at the handle of the blade. “Just – don’t bite me until I put this knife down, okay? We don’t need any more... accidents.”
He failed to hold back a laugh at that, and you managed to crack a grin in response. “Okay, okay.”
To think he had you so utterly flustered and at his whim only moments ago.
“On the count of three,” you breathed, bracing yourself for something you certainly never expected anyone to ask of you. “One... two... three.”
When you reached three, you flinched your eyes shut, pulling as hard as you could in one quick burst, desperate to have this all over before it started.
The sensation was something odd and unspeakable, and you turned to toss the knife on the table behind you before you could register the uncomfortable warmth on your hands.
But the exact moment the sound of metal clattering on glass reached your ears, your head was being wrenched back by large hands, plump lips and hot breath coming into contact with your neck before you realized he’d moved.
You could barely suck in a gasp before a hand moved to grip tightly at your waist, and fangs sunk into your skin.
White-hot pain lanced through your body like electricity, and for a moment you were thinking you were done for. Seokjin was wrong, maybe he lied, and you definitely lacked the strength to push off a dying vampire determined to drink.
But just as you opened your mouth, whether to scream or cry or whatever else, you were immediately silenced, a breathy groan soon pulled from your throat.
The sudden onslaught of pleasure flowing through your limbs had you weak, your body falling limp into sensation immediately.
Clearly prepared for this outcome, Seokjin only pulled you closer to him, the hand on your waist supporting your body, a hand fisted near your scalp keeping your head back. The casual display of strength pulled a whimper from you, your body feeling hot all over.
Your eyelids fluttered closed, and you had to wonder when you had opened them at all, because you couldn’t recall processing a single thing visually since his fangs touched you.
You thought that would be as good as it gets, but the pleasure only kept building and building. It rendered you almost completely immobile, your world reduced to Seokjin at your neck, the broad planes of his body below yours, and the myriad of bliss flooding your veins. Heat was throbbing in your cunt, your nipples hard and almost pained as they rubbed against the roughness of your t-shirt.
You raised your hands that were sitting idle at your sides to fist into Seokjin’s shirt, giving no thought to the fact that he was gravely injured in that spot only minutes ago, fingers feeling almost numb and not registering the wetness that was there either.
“Ah - Jin,” you cried loudly as the bliss only built, tossing your head back to bare more of your neck.
He growled ferally into your skin, the sound going straight to your core. He pulled you closer still, enough that your breasts pressed harshly into his chest, your hips slotted together.
Sighing happily at the pressure right where you needed it most, you ground desperately against whatever you could feel against you. When you felt the undeniable hardness of Seokjin’s cock against your cunt and its delicious friction against your soaked-through panties, you moaned obscenely.
You felt rather than heard his gasp in response, his grip around you tightening even further, enough that you felt out of breath.
You whimpered at the restriction, his strength keeping you from grinding against him no matter how hard you tried.
You cursed him internally, but there was no way you were going to formulate words at this point, your mind completely lost to euphoric delirium.
It felt as though you were floating, head thrown back as sparks flew up your spine relentlessly.
Despite the lack of proper friction against your cunt, you could feel pressure building in your abdomen. You were close, so close, so undeniably close-
Fangs retracted from your neck, and the sudden loss was like ice water being thrown over your head. You shivered.
The tight grip on you loosened, Seokjin leaning into the back of the couch and groaning.
When you opened your eyes you almost fell over at the way the world spun, dizziness and blurry vision almost distracting you from the orgasm that seemed only moments away.
Almost.
Blinking furiously until you managed to fix your gaze onto Seokjin’s face, you sucked in a harsh breath at the sight before you.
Irises swimming with crimson, pupils blown out, chest heaving, dark hair mussed, lips painted red, fangs still visible past his parted lips – he looked the very picture of sin.
Fuck.
Though if you had a mirror, you would see that you looked just as ruined – eyes wanton and desperate, teeth gnawing into your bottom lip, dark bruises colouring your neck. If temptation were a person, it would be you, sitting in Seokjin’s lap with your soaked panties still pressed against the bulge in his pants.
As you stared at each other, it was as though time froze. Neither of you moved an inch, seemingly content to remain in some kind of intense, sensual staredown for the rest of time.
But you’d never claimed to be a patient person, and when you finally felt confident that your body was yours again, you acted.
If he wanted to push you away, he could have. His reflexes always seemed to almost predict the future, and you were positive that if he didn’t want this, he would have stopped you. He was never one to avoid voicing his discontent, even if it was masked as a self-deprecating joke. Some part of you deep down expected him to end this before it had even begun.
He didn’t.
Your lips met his in a depraved frenzy, too far gone to make any attempt at starting slow. It was rough, and it was messy, and it was desperate, and you loved it. His fangs scraped at your bottom lip and you gasped, fisting your hands into his hair as your body remembered how it felt the last time those fangs breached your skin. But as you ground your clit into the sizeable bulge in his pants again, he froze.
Just as you were about to pull away to see what caught his attention, he pushed you away first, hands firmly on your shoulders.
“Wait, wait, wait,” he gasped, and it very much looked like it took all of his willpower to break away.
“What’s wrong?” you asked weakly, your head still spinning, body absolutely overcome by lust. In fact, he was looking a bit blurry again with how fast he moved you, and it took several moments of rapid blinking before you met his very concerned gaze. Nothing ever escaped him, and you were sure that your semi-weak state was very obvious to him right now.
Not that it affected how much you wanted his touch, his cock.
“You don’t know what you’re doing.”
Your brow furrowed. “I do know what I’m doing,” you said firmly – or at least, you tried, but it took far too much effort to wrap your tongue around the syllables, almost as if you were drunk.
“Y/N-”
“Why don’t you believe me?” you whined, this time sounding a bit more coherent. You tried to push toward him, but his hold was too strong. “You want it too, look at your face.”
He sighed, looking to the ceiling as though it held some answer on how to make this easier. “It’s not about whether I want it or not. You’re not thinking straight.”
“Jinnie,” you whimpered needily, reaching your hands toward the waistband of his pants. If he didn’t touch you soon, you swore that you would scream. “Please. I want it. I want you. I promise-”
He moved to snatch your hands before you could touch him, and your mouth clamped shut at the grip. His expression was almost pained for a moment before his eyes glazed over with a look that would have had you on your knees immediately.
His hand shot up to grip your chin firmly, ensuring that you couldn’t look away. Though, you didn’t think you could look away if you tried, drawn to the unspeakable darkness you found there, crimson still invading the rich brown.
“Why don’t you be a good girl and sleep for me?”
“Wh-what?” you choked out, but it was as though you’d lost control of your body, feeling as though you’d been awake for days without sleep. Your eyelids fluttered shut, but you forced them back open, groaning weakly when your vision fell upon Seokjin, his expression still dark and hungry.
You were about to open your mouth again, but something about his eyes was so captivating. Something about the red pulled you in, left you unable to think. Were his eyes always this beautiful? You wracked your brain, but came up blank. You wanted to open your mouth and ask him, but you couldn’t move a muscle. Even still, your face drew closer to his as though pulled in by a magnet.
His eyes roved over your face before meeting your gaze once more, and you missed the flash of sympathy that was present for only a moment. You were relieved when he looked at you again, fingers twitching with the urge to cup his face. You were content to look at him for the rest of time – if there was anything Seokjin had, it was time, right?
Attention focused on each other, he parted his lips, and you could have sworn your ears buzzed, desperate to hold on to every word.
“Sleep.”
Your vision went black.
--
You awoke to a hand scratching gently at your scalp, a great contrast to the relentless hammering of your head. You groaned, shoving your face further into your pillow, blocking out the light that was already worsening the ache of your skull, even with your eyes closed.
You were so comfy, so relaxed at the touch that you almost drifted right back to sleep.
Wait.
You lived alone.
Sitting up all in a rush, you gasped as the world spun. It only got worse when you forced your eyes open, a pained whine leaving your lips as even the limited light in the room only introduced more pain behind your eyes.
“Woah! It’s just me, it’s just me.” Seokjin’s voice came out in a rush, sturdy arms lowering you back to your pillow as he pulled the sheets up to shadow your face.
Right. Seokjin.
Your heartbeat calmed, recalling his arrival late last night. Though, what came next was all a blur you couldn’t bother trying to remember right now.
You heard him step away quickly, the sound of your curtains drawing completely closed having you let out a sigh of relief. His footsteps neared you again, his cool touch returning to stroke gently at your face, before moving to massage at the base of your skull.
His touch was so delicate it almost baffled you. You didn’t think he’d touch anyone like this, his displays of affection more inclined to loud compliments and playful roughhousing.
But you couldn’t deny that it felt incredible, your neck arching almost imperceptively as you leaned into his touch. The chill of his skin against yours sent a shiver through you, and you tried to ignore the fluttering in your chest.
“Are you cold?”
Blood rushed to your face at the observation, though you only gave a noncommittal noise in return. He didn’t need to know what was going on in your mind.
“My head hurts,” you mumbled quietly, a pout overtaking your lips. Seokjin had to force himself not to laugh at how cute you looked then.
“I know, I’m sorry,” he replied softly, lulling you back into a half-asleep state with the gentle motions of his hand on you.
You couldn’t tell how long it was before you opened your eyes again – it could have been 2 minutes or it could have been two hours. You couldn’t even tell whether you’d drifted off or not.
It was fortunately much darker than the first time you opened your eyes, much to the relief of your headache that had faded some, but was still thudding away.
What you didn’t expect, however, was to be greeted by the golden skin of Seokjin’s chest, the shadows of the room only making it look more unreal.
You blearily blinked several times before determining that yes, that was Seokjin half-naked and perched on a kitchen chair. You tried to get words out and failed, clearing your throat before trying again.
“Where are your clothes?”
He grinned. “A bit ruined, if you recall.”
Right.
At least his pants were still on. That was best for your sanity.
“Why does my head hurt so much?” you asked, luckily able to keep your eyes open now to look at him without the pain multiplying tenfold.
He winced, his chest aching at the pained expression on your face. “I’m sorry. That’s my fault.”
“What do you mean? Because you bit me?”
“No, not that.” He raised his free hand to scratch awkwardly at his ear.
“Huh? Why then?” All of this was so confusing. Maybe you should have done more research on vampires in your life, though you never expected to be in this sort of situation.
“I, uhh... compelled you.” He gnawed nervously at his lip, but rather than the lashing out he might have expected, you only looked at him in confusion.
“You what? Why?”
“What do you remember from last night?” he posed to you instead.
As much as you tried to recall, you couldn’t focus on anything with the state your head was in. You remembered him arriving at your house, a bit of stupid banter, getting on the couch, sitting in his lap. Then, he bit you.
Then what?
You honestly didn’t know, and you couldn’t help the fear that crept its way through you at that realization.
“You bit me...” you trailed off, looking away from his face and instead staring into the sheets near where your hands laid.
He hummed in affirmation, clearly urging you to continue.
“And then, I don’t really know,” you whispered, an edge of panic in your voice.
He sighed. “That’s what I thought. Don’t worry, it’ll come back.”
“Did something bad happen?” You tried to wrack your brain for possible scenarios where he would have had to compel you to do something, and you came up blank every time. What could you have done? Attacked him? Or did he go crazy at the taste of your blood and attack you? No, that didn’t make any sense – you were lying in bed feeling perfectly normal besides the headache.
What the hell happened?
“Nothing bad happened. I just... made you sleep before we did something stupid.”
It felt like the more he told you, the less you knew. Before you did something stupid? As in, did something stupid together?
There was something about the way he was choosing his words that led you to only one conclusion – in fact, he sounded an awful lot like Taehyung bemoaning his drunken hookups.
There was no way you almost fucked... right?
You’d have to know, right? There was no way you would have gone along with that... right?
It wasn’t as though you’d never had a spur of the moment one-night stand, but with Seokjin? There was absolutely no way you would’ve let that happen. A person had to protect their heart, after all.
“Stop overthinking right now, you’ll just make the pain worse.”
“I’m not,” you protested, though you didn’t know why you even tried lying. It was a bit hard to trick someone who was both a vampire and your friend.
“I can literally hear you freaking out. Please just try to rest, you’ll remember when the headache goes away.”
You sighed, trying to ease the tension in your body you didn’t even realize you had. “Are you sure?”
“Positive,” he said confidently, his hand trailing away to rub firm circles into your shoulder instead.
“Mm.” You might have said something, but proper words evaded you at his touch. You tried focusing on him rather than the thrum of your skull, and you had to force yourself to keep your eyes open.
The expression on Seokjin’s face was one you hadn’t seen before. His eyes looked into yours with a softness that felt unfamiliar, a soft smile overtaking his lips when he saw how exhausted you looked.
“Sleep if you’re tired, princess,” he murmured, pulling the sheets up higher to cover you more. “Do you want another blanket?”
You could feel your heart speed up in your chest at the pet name and his tenderness, and you cursed the fact that there was no way to hide anything from him. At least he was polite enough not to tease you like he did your other friends.
You were so momentarily flustered that you almost forgot to respond, only nodding in response as you curled further into yourself. If you were any braver, maybe you would have asked him to join you instead.
It was only moments before he was tossing the throw from your living room over you, and it almost startled you. Sometimes you forgot how eerily fast he could move, considering he usually slowed himself to your pace whenever you were together.
You let out a contented sigh as you snuggled into the additional warmth, already feeling only half-conscious. You had just enough energy to let out a mumbled ‘thanks’ before you were drifting off again.
--
When you awoke this time, it felt as though you were an entirely new person. For starters, your head felt blissfully quiet. You were sure you would have cried if you woke up to just as much pain. There was only so much you could take in one 24-hour period. Seokjin had really done a number on your weekend, hadn’t he?
Speaking of Seokjin, he was nowhere to be seen in your bedroom. Though you were sure he was still somewhere. It wasn’t quite his style to disappear without saying goodbye, and you were even more doubtful that he would just leave after biting you.
Biting you.
At the thought, images flooded your mind faster than you could process them.
His fangs at your neck.
The relentless pleasure that invaded every fibre of your being.
Your lips on his.
Your brazen grinding against him.
And, your refusal to stop despite his words.
Holy fuck.
Was it possible to go back to when you didn’t remember and you could ignorantly lay in bed with Seokjin stroking your head?
You sat up only to bury your head in your hands, letting out a loud, embarrassed, frustrated groan while you were at it. If Seokjin didn’t know you were awake before, he surely did now. But merciful as ever, he allowed you to wallow in your mortification alone.
Was there anything worse than trying to mindlessly and basically drunkenly make your way into your friend’s pants and get denied? Your friend who you maybe found a little bit (extremely) attractive in every way, shape, and form?
Well, of course there were worse things, but to you in this moment, it certainly felt like a new low.
It took you a moment to find your footing once you’d hopped out of bed, but luckily you felt good as new otherwise. If you stayed in here alone too much longer you would certainly lose the minimal nerve you had and never leave.
In your rush to make use of your bravery, you remembered at the last moment that you were still in just your panties and shirt with no bra.
When you made it to your dresser, you paused at your reflection.
It was almost... startling how normal you looked. Though, what should you have looked like?
Baring your neck and squinting at the image in front of you, you had to scratch at your neck yourself to verify whether you were imagining it.
Aside from bruises that already seemed to be fading, there were no marks on your neck. Did it really heal that fast?
Maybe you should have been a bit embarrassed that you were so clueless on the whole subject. But in your defense, information on the internet didn’t seem to be very reliable, and vampires, for some reason, seemed to love their air of mystery. Based on the few you knew well, you were pretty sure they got a fair amount of amusement out of the misconceptions flying around.
Finally fully dressed for the first time since Seokjin showed up unannounced, you flung your door open with all the confidence you could muster.
Which is to say, you cracked your door open just enough for you to stick your head out. Much to your dismay, your eyes met Seokjin’s on the couch almost immediately, your face ducked toward the floor as you slinked your way over to the living room.
You stopped on the opposite side of the table, the sight of the stained knife there definitely not helping in your hope to distract yourself from what a fool you’d made of yourself the night before.
Out of curiosity, your gaze shot up to examine his abdomen.
You didn’t know why the perfectly smooth and unblemished muscle you found there was of any surprise to you after the night you’ve had, but it was. There wasn’t a single trace of any injury or blood on him – in fact, he looked much cleaner than when he got here. Did he use your shower?
A throat clearing had your eyes instinctively locking with his, an amused smile playing over his features that shot embarrassment through your veins. Of course the one time your ogling was purely scientific, he had to catch you and make fun of you.
You couldn’t stop your sight from drifting back down, the concept of there being absolutely no trace of anything happening to him boggling your mind.
“You really...” you trailed off, eyes darting back and forth across his bare skin one last time just to be sure. “You really healed, just like that?”
He only nodded, tapping the unbroken skin for emphasis. “You can heal me, I can heal you. Convenient, isn’t it?”
You nodded back in response, silence taking over the room quickly. You didn’t know what you were supposed to do to fill it. You’ve never experienced an awkward silence with Seokjin before, his charming nature always keeping everyone around him comfortable. This sort of energy in the room with him... it was unsettling.
“Y/N,” Seokjin called out once the silence went on a moment too long for his liking. “Can you come sit with me?”
He scooted over to make plenty of room for you, but you felt almost frozen in place. Did he really want your company after you’d pretty much jumped him? Was he sitting you down so he could let you down easy, tell you that this has been real, but he refused to associate with someone with so little self-control?
You must have stood there staring for longer than you thought, because an unreadable expression crossed his face before he spoke up again.
“Are you scared of me?”
Huh?
“No!” you blurted out, your volume clearly surprising him. “Well, a little?”
“Oh.” If you weren’t paying such close attention to him, you would have missed the hurt that flashed in his eyes. But you didn’t.
“Wait, that’s not what I meant,” you said hurriedly. You wanted to smack yourself for being such a blatant mess. “I’m just... scared,” you finished weakly.
His gaze softened immediately, and he had to restrain himself from hopping over the table between you to pull you into his arms. You looked like you were trying to shrink into yourself, your shoulders pulled towards your chest, hands wringing nervously in front of you.
“Did you think I would be upset?” he asked softly. He leaned forward, earnest expression on his face.
That was an understatement. You could live with “drunkenly” coming onto someone, but you didn’t know what you would do if it ended up costing you your friendship. Maybe you were being overly dramatic, but you never claimed to be the most rational person.
You nodded slowly, your vision dropping to stare at the floor, hands wrapped around your middle, squeezing as you struggled to maintain composure. You didn’t know why your heart was beating a mile a minute, your palms uncomfortably sweaty. You usually didn’t feel this level of fear when confronting a mistake that, to a normal person, shouldn’t be such an obscenely big deal as you were making it. But Seokjin was certainly not a normal person to you, and any situation that lowered his opinion of you was one you would do anything to avoid.
“Hey.” The sudden gentle hand on your chin made you squeak, and you would have stumbled in your rush to step backward if not for the steadying hand on your shoulder.
You always seemed to forget that he could move so quickly and silently. Your heart might stop at this rate if he wasn’t careful.
His thumb stroked at your jaw as if he hadn’t just seen you nearly fall flat on your ass, softly tapping under your chin until you met his gaze.
“I promise I’m the furthest thing from mad right now. Nothing is even your fault, okay?”
“But-”
“No buts. Let’s talk, but I’m not upset. Okay?” he urged, eyes not leaving yours until you nodded. The smile he gave in return made you feel warm, the tenderness in his gaze doing things to your heart, the hint of a smile ghosting your lips.
The hand on your shoulder nudged you toward him, the other opening wide to welcome you into a hug.
You went easily, your arms wrapping around his bare waist as you tucked your face into his chest. The relief you felt at his reassurance was immense, and you melted into his touch. It was almost strange how well you fit together.
“Let’s sit,” he said, kind yet firm. He led you over to the couch, settling himself down into the spot where he seemed to have spent much of the past day in.
You didn’t know what possessed you to straddle his lap in the way you did last night. Maybe it was the way he looked at you warmly without judgment, or the way your body craved his nearness after getting a taste of his touch. But whatever it was, he didn’t push you away – rather, he reached for your hands, interlacing his fingers with your own.
This position wasn’t the most “innocent” to begin with, but with the memories of last night rushing through your head, of his teeth at your neck and the pleasure you felt, your breath sped up.
With the expression on Seokjin’s face, you were sure he must have been thinking the same thing, hungry eyes flickering from your lips back up to your waiting gaze. Unlike you, however, he didn’t seem at all embarrassed.
“Are you confused?” he asked suddenly.
Caught off guard by the sudden question, your brows furrowed. Though you didn’t know just exactly what he was referring to, what will all that happened, but your answer was still the same regardless.
You nodded hesitantly, but he didn’t speak, your puzzled expression telling him that you were still working things out in your head. The silence stretched on until you finally spoke up again.
“You didn’t tell me it would be like... that.” Euphoric. Dreamlike. Intense. No matter what word you used, it still didn’t feel enough to encompass what you experienced the night before. You’d never experienced white-hot physical and even emotional pleasure like that, not in all your years of life.
You dropped your gaze down to your joined hands, watching the way he fiddled with your fingers as he pondered his next words. It felt unusual to have a conversation with him in this way – you both tended to be people who said what they thought without thinking on it too much, with friends at least. But it was reassuring to see him so serious, to see that he really did care.
“I didn’t tell you because I didn’t think it was a possibility,” he finally said. He sounded confident in his words, but you found it odd that he was fidgeting so much. He hadn’t stopped moving his hands since taking hold of yours, and even his legs were starting to shift beneath yours. Why did he seem so nervous?
“What does that mean?”
“Is there anything you want to tell me?” he responded instead, leaving you staring at him, baffled.
“Huh?” you replied, immediately defensive.
You didn’t have the smallest idea of what that question meant, but he fixed his gaze on you inquisitively. Did he think you had some big secret or something? Sure, he didn’t know everything about your life, but there was nothing so exceptional about you that not mentioning it would be some sort of betrayal.
“Uhh, never mind.”
“What do you mean, never mind? You can’t just ask me something like then and then say that,” you huffed, lips forming a thin line.
“Sorry I just thought – do you remember what I told you when you asked if it would hurt?”
You swore he was going to give you whiplash with his questions, but at least this one was easy to answer.
“Sure, you said the closer two people are the better it feels. Something like that, right?”
“Right, so, uhh, it wouldn’t normally feel that intense, you know?”
The fact that he definitely seemed to know exactly what was going on and kept beating around the bush was more than a little bit frustrating. Considering he was normally as straightforward as a person could get, though, you opted to simple stare expectantly at him. But if he didn’t cut to the point in approximately 20 seconds, your annoyance would just about outweigh your concern.
“It shouldn’t feel that way unless you liked me back,” he finally said, all in one breath.
You could only blink blankly as you processed his words, but when it clicked, you went from mildly annoyed to incredibly flustered all in the same second.
“HUH?! Wait, back?” You could almost feel your headache coming back with how many directions this conversation has taken in less than 15 minutes. Your hands were starting to feel disgustingly clammy in his, but neither of you moved to separate them.
“I know this is so sudden, and I didn’t expect to be outed like this either and it doesn’t have to mean anything, like I know I like you a lot, like a lot a lot, but I don’t really know how much you feel about me or if it’s even that significant or just a passing attraction because either is possible and I’m really sorry if this made everything awkward-”
His ridiculously fast words were cut off by your newly-free hand clamping down over his mouth, plump lips tickling your skin as he stared at you, wide-eyed. You were sure if you tried this any other time he would (playfully) smack you, but he only stared.
“Really?” you whispered. To be completely honest, you never realistically considered a relationship, or even just a hook-up with Seokjin. You found him wholly and insanely attractive, but didn’t everyone? And it wasn’t that he was a vampire and you were a human – it was laughable to believe that you’d think that long-term anyway.
No, you just never saw him being that into you. He was almost ethereally beautiful, got along well with everyone, and had one of the most charming personalities you’d ever seen. His physique wasn’t even something that needed to be mentioned. With all that considered, all you ever cared to do was admire him from afar, content to have him as a close friend. It wasn’t as though he’d ever sent you hints that he wanted otherwise, either.
So to hear that your stupid little harmless crush could actually amount to anything?
You thought things couldn’t get any more unexpected.
When he nodded his confirmation, you couldn’t keep the grin from overtaking your face.
The giddiness clear on your face and the adorable sparkle in your eye sent unquantifiable relief through him, and the second you removed your hand, he opened his mouth to speak.
But somehow you were quicker than him, your lips meeting his before a single syllable could be uttered.
Unlike last night, you didn’t kiss him like you wanted to devour him, or like your body would light on fire if you couldn’t get as close as possible. This was calmer, slower, but it didn’t take long for that to change.
His fangs weren’t out this time, but that didn’t change the fact that you gasped as soon as his teeth dug into your bottom lip. Sparks shot up your spine at the sensation, your mind unable to stop thinking about what you felt the last time you were in this same position. How good it felt to be helpless to the pleasure battering down on you, held in place by strong hands and strong arms.
He’d probably ruined teeth for you for the rest of your life.
You let him do whatever he wanted, and he groaned into your mouth when you tangled your hands in his hair. Hands gripped your ass tightly and squeezed, pulling you in closer to him.
His hands didn’t even wander much further than that, but heat flared in your core regardless. When he raised his hips to brush the bulge in his pants against your aching centre, you could only moan and grind down onto him.
The pressure against your clit through the thin material of your shorts cut off every possible train of thought, and you were pretty sure that after all this, these panties would never recover.
You felt goosebumps raise on your flesh when a hand rose, nails scraping against your scalp. You arched your neck back ever-so-slightly, and Seokjin didn’t miss a beat in detaching from your lips to mouth at the skin above your collarbone instead.
He wasn’t gentle in the way he sucked bruises into your skin, a firm hand holding your head in place while the other held your thigh, his confined length rubbing languidly into your core. You whined and tightened your grip in his hair at the brush of teeth against skin, but much to your displeasure, he pulled away from you before clothes even started coming off.
“Wait.”
“Whyyyy?” you whined petulantly. Was he really going to do this to you again? You knew he was definitely in the right to stop things last night, but there was only so much you could take.
He bit back a smirk at your neediness, thumbing gently at your protruding bottom lip as he resisted the urge to tease you for your cuteness. This soft and pouty side of you was new to him, and he swore something fluttered in his chest.
“You should eat something, princess.”
“Huh?” you blinked, confused. You were about to protest when he spoke up again.
“When’s the last time you ate?”
“Uhh... dinner last night? Maybe 7? 8?”
He leaned in toward you, but rather than kiss you again, he reached for the table behind you. You craned your neck to see what he was doing, and frowned when he grabbed for his phone. Your bewilderment at what he was doing didn’t last long, however, his phone screen displaying the time for you in large, white font.
5:32 pm.
“Holy shit, I slept for that long?” You stared at him wide-eyed. No wonder he took a shower and everything. You were surprised he was sat there waiting for you for all those hours without complaint.
He looked a bit sheepish, tossing his phone to the side and leaning back into the couch, tugging you with him comfortably. At this point the fire you felt had been dimmed, but that didn’t mean you weren’t still a bit irritated at being denied twice in a row.
“Ah, that would be my fault... the compulsion really gave you hell,” he winced, stroking gently at your cheek with the back of his fingers.
“It’s fine, I feel okay. Wasn’t that my fault anyway?” Your face felt hot thinking back to your behaviour and the lack of restraint you showed, hand rubbing nervously at the back of your neck.
“Of course not,” he assured quickly. “It’s not exactly something easy to resist. But if you regret it, I’m really sor-”
“I don’t regret it!” you cut him off, immediately wanting to pinch yourself for being so loud. And hasty. And embarrassing. And horny. “I’m... I’m happy right now.” Your volume seemed to die as confidence left you, but Seokjin only beamed.
“I’m happy too,” he said simply, tone laced with sincerity. “But you need to eat, I can practically hear your intestines screaming from here.”
“What?!” Strange tension successfully killed, your hands covered your abdomen instinctively as though you could shield yourself from his vampire ears. “Can you actually?”
He let you stare at him in alarm for only a few seconds before he couldn’t hold his giggles back anymore.
“Not really, but you should have seen your face. Why are you so worried about it?”
You huffed, shoulders deflating at his teasing. “I don’t know! That has to be a breach of privacy or something. Who gave you the right to listen to my intestines?”
“I can already hear your heart just fine, would it really matter so much?”
The smile dropped from his lips within a second, and the sudden intensity in his gaze had you frozen. The energy in the room shifted in an instant, and you were at a complete loss for words.
You thought he was going in for a kiss when he leaned closer, but instead his nose went to nuzzle at your neck, trailing up into your hairline. The warm air he exhaled into your ear made you shiver, pressing yourself ever so closer to his bare chest. You didn’t know how he managed to work you up within seconds, but you felt so hot despite his cool touch, baring your neck for him.
“I can hear the way your heart speeds up when I get close...” he whispered, mouthing lazily at your soft skin before sucking harshly. Unsure of what to do with yourself, your nails dug into his biceps, breath unsteady.
“I can hear the way the blood rushes through your veins, the sweetest thing I’ve ever tasted.” A hand rose to palm at your breast, bare beneath the worn cotton of your shirt. You arched your back as he harshly rolled a hard nipple between his fingers.
“I can hear the way you lose your breath, your tiny little gasps...” You couldn’t hide the way you twitched when sharp fangs scraped against your skin, a whimper nearly making its way from your throat. “Just like that.”
“And just so you know...” His voice was like honey, warm and smooth and sweet, and you hung onto his every word. “I can hear the way your stomach is growling right now too.”
The noise you let out that moment was inhumane, somewhere between a squeak and a scream of disbelief.
He broke away from you with a blaring laugh, shoulders bouncing beneath your grip.
You moved to slap at his chest, but your hand was caught easily, and his laughter only continued. God, you were going to kill this man. Again.
Your face felt obscenely hot, and you could feel a pout overtaking your lips at the sight of him still giggling away in front of you.
“Jinnie,” you whined, choosing to display your discontent by breaking free of his grip and hopping up out of his lap.
Which was definitely not the correct choice, because you swore you could feel the rush of blood through your ears before a strong sense of vertigo washed over you, groan escaping your lips. You were sure you would have fallen face first into the floor if not for Seokjin’s steadying.
“Woah, do you feel okay? This is why I told you to eat,” he sighed, maneuvering you to lay down comfortably on the couch, sticking pillows under your head. “Just stay here and I’ll make food, okay?”
“No, wait, I can make it-”
As you attempted to push back up off the couch, he only gently pushed down with a quiet ‘tsk’ and shake of his head. As you opened your mouth to further protest, he leaned in close, the softness of his lips brushing against the shell of your ear.
“Be a good girl and let me take care of you, hm?”
Your breath hitched at his sudden words, only able to stare wide-eyed when he pulled away from you enough to take in your face. The look in his eyes could only be described as devious – amused yet hardened, and you didn’t know if you were imagining the crimson bleeding into the brown of his irises.
“There goes that heartbeat again,” he murmured as though sharing a secret, the tender motion of his hand on your cheek in stark contrast to the want etched into his expression. “You’re going to be so much fun to ruin.”
--
For someone who didn’t really need to eat food to survive (though you’d been told time and time again that eating was fun), Seokjin made one hell of a good cook. Granted, egg fried rice wasn’t the most difficult nor time-consuming dish to make, but that didn’t make it any less tasty. In fact, you were grateful for such a simple and light dish, because you learned quite quickly that after an entire day without food, rushing to eat only brought nausea and discomfort.
Leaning against the armrest of the couch, the inside of your bowl was all you could see with how close you were holding it to your face. In your defence, though, you were greatly disinterested in the possibility of needing to clean a stain from your cushions.
As you took your time eating, Seokjin opted to tidy up a bit, dishes clanging in the kitchen before you heard him rearranging his shoes at the front door.
Thankfully, his efforts included removing the knife from your table and putting it god-knows-where, but you were just glad it was out of your line of sight. Maybe he thought that it was better for your appetite to remove the thing you’d literally pulled out of him.
You tried not to let your mind linger on just how... strange that felt.
He somehow managed to clean up before you’d even finished eating, the couch dipping beside you as he settled into his spot. Vampire speed truly was startling.
If you didn’t have your entire field of vision blocked, you might have noticed Seokjin’s fond look as you ate your meal at what could only be described as a forced snail’s pace. He had to suppress a chuckle at how antsy you seemed to be, clearly wanting to just shovel food into your mouth, but knowing you would only suffer for it. How did one person manage to be so cute and yet so seductive?
When you were done, you set the bowl down on the table with a satisfied sigh, jumping in surprise when a glass of water was placed into your newly-emptied hands almost immediately.
“Thanks,” you smiled shyly, face feeling hot at his attentiveness. You didn’t know how to react at having a man like Kim Seokjin doting on you. It was almost – no, it was – unbelievable, and your poor heart didn’t know how to act. It was one thing to have him kiss you like he was going to devour you, and another to be this sweet and this caring and this soft.
Setting the empty glass next to your empty bowl, you leaned back, unsure of what to do with yourself now that you were entirely unoccupied. Seokjin’s presence beside you made you increasingly aware of the awkward shifting of your hands and your uneasy breathing. He wasn’t that close to you and yet you could smell him – you didn’t know how he managed to make your floral scented shampoo smell sexy.
“Why are you so nervous?” he said lowly, nudging you into his side and tossing an arm around your shoulders. It was a simple move, and yet all you could think was how big he was, how easily he completely enveloped you in his hold.
“I-I’m not nervous,” you stuttered, and you could feel the blood rush to your face. You wondered if he could hear that, too.
A hand lifted your face in his direction, and you were met with an expression that very clearly read ‘are you really going to try lying to a vampire?’
“I don’t know why I’m nervous,” you amended, biting into your lower lip. His gaze followed the motion, eyes clouding over.
“Can I kiss you?” he asked softly, his thumb raising to release your lip from your teeth, the movement intimate enough to set your stomach aflutter.
“Are we asking that now?” you responded smartly, grinning when Seokjin only huffed a laugh.
“Let me be clearer then,” he said lowly, the abrupt commanding tone having you sit up straighter. “Can I kiss you, strip you, take you to bed, taste that sweet pussy on my tongue, and then fuck you?”
Heat flared in you at the words, your fingernails scratching against his chest before remembering he wasn’t wearing a shirt for you to yank him closer. You settled for making a beeline for his mouth, but a quick movement to grip your hair at the scalp kept you from getting close enough.
“Ah, ah,” he tutted, holding you still as he nuzzled his nose against your neck, humming in content when he brushed right against the spot he bit you yesterday. “Tell me yes or no, princess.”
You nodded with what freedom you had left – not much, with how tight his hold on you was, tiny pricks of pain sending sparks up and down your spine. His other hand pulled you closer to him, your hips halfway straddling him as he mouthed at your neck, acting as though he hadn’t noticed your response. It was clear that he was waiting for you to say something.
“Yes,” you said quietly, nearly forgetting what the question was from the way he was sucking softly at your neck. At the scrape of fangs against your skin, you only pushed back against the hand in your hair, exposing more of your neck with a soft sigh.
“You can’t stop thinking about it, can you?” he taunted, pulling you fully on top of him, his hard cock right against your core, and you wished that clothing wasn’t separating you.
He pressed those fangs against the soft skin below your ear, hard enough that the pain had you wincing, but not enough to break skin.
He was teasing you, and you were putty in his hands.
“I can’t stop thinking about it either,” he breathed, tonguing lazily over the stinging marks he left behind. You could only whimper and squirm in his hold, hands tangling in his silken hair. You didn’t know whether you wanted to pull him away or push him closer.
“To have you moaning in rapture right in my lap, so desperate for my cock, the taste of you on my lips...” His voice was so low you could barely hear it, barely process it, but the absolutely lust in his voice only spurred new waves of arousal in you. “Hearing you beg like that, fuck-”
He cut himself off with a sinful moan as he shifted his hips to rub himself right against your cunt, and you shuddered in response.
“I don’t think I’ve ever wanted anyone so bad,” he sighed, breathing unsteady as he used his grip on you to rock you in time to his movements. “I’ve never had such a test of self-control. Maybe I should punish you.”
This voice was teasing, but your reaction was real, and there was no way to hide the way a moan escaped or the way your nails dug crescents into Seokjin’s smooth skin.
“Oh, you like that, do you?” he chuckled darkly as he leaned his head back into the couch, the grip in your hair tightening even more. A helpless whine left your lips, and you became uncomfortably aware of the way your panties were sticking to your folds.
“Tell me, do you think I should punish you?” he asked, his honeyed voice lulling you into a state you couldn’t even begin to explain with words.
You tried nodding again, hissing at the flash of pain when you tried move your head from his grip.
“Princess, haven’t you learned to use your words? I think I’ll bend you over my knee right here. What do you think about that?”
“Please,” you gasped without hesitation, freezing when you fluttered your eyelids open to meet his gaze.
If you weren’t sure whether his eyes were laced with red before, it was evident now. It only made him all the more enticing, and your vision fell down to his mouth instinctively when he ran his tongue over his teeth. A pang of heat went through you when his fangs bit into his lip, and before you were thinking about it, a hand rose to brush against his mouth.
Your thumb grazed a fang almost reverently, and Seokjin only watched on fondly at the wonderment on your face. You supposed it might have been strange to touch your friend’s – boyfriend’s? – teeth like this, but you had always been curious. Hell, you hadn’t even seen fangs in person before last night. As far as you knew, they only extended when feeding or when feeling strong emotions, and neither tended to be something you could casually see on the street.
You bit at your lip when sharpness pushed into the pad of your finger, but his next words broke you free of your reverie.
“Bend over then.”
He released you from his grip dizzyingly fast, leaning back to watch you.
You were surprised at yourself with how quickly you situated your ass over his lap, the self-consciousness you would’ve expected to be feeling wholly absent. Seokjin was just that captivating.
You wiggled your way into a comfortable position, sticking a cushion under your head. Now that your ass was sticking out right into his view, you felt more vulnerable than ever, knowing that his eyes and ears were trained on your every movement and reaction.
Hands pushed your long shirt up over your hips, fingers trailing lightly over the globes of your ass, separated only by the thin fabric of your shorts. But not for long.
Fingers reached under your waistband and tugged down before you could react, yanking your shorts and panties down in one go.
With air suddenly hitting your sodden pussy, you could feel heat rise to your face at how exposed you found yourself. But any thought of shifting and hiding was erased when you heard Seokjin’s loud groan.
“Shit, you’re soaked, smell so fucking good,” he hissed, fingers reaching to push messily through your folds.
You couldn’t see him putting his fingers in his mouth, but the depraved moan he let out afterward had you squirming in his lap.
After your shorts and panties were pushed onto the floor, a large hand ran tenderly over the skin of your ass, fingers digging in slightly.
“Is ten on each side too much for you?” he asked. There was no hint of teasing in his tone, his voice firm. He continued his soft stroking as he waiting for an answer.
“Uhh... I don’t really know?” you responded meekly. Sure, you had been spanked before, but it was never this... structured? To be honest, you didn’t really know what “a lot” would be in terms of numbers.
“It’s okay,” he soothed. “We’ll work our way up and see how it feels. Is that okay?”
You nodded at first, but quickly let out an ‘okay’ when you remembered how firm he was on a proper response.
“This means I’m trusting you to be honest and tell me to stop if it’s too much. I want you to feel good.”
“Okay.”
You released tension you didn’t realize you’d had at his reassurances, allowing your limbs to loosen as you adjusted to lay more comfortably. The sensation of his hands on you made you feel safe and secure, and you knew for a fact that for all his hard words and cold stares, he was still always searching for your approval.
You twitched in surprise as a few light swats came down on each cheek, almost as though he was testing the motion. But after being briefly taken off guard, you relaxed under his hands, body already warming up at each light blow. You barely felt anything aside from a faint sting, but you could already feel your cunt throbbing, anticipation having you dig your nails into the cushion beneath you.
But even despite his preparation, the first real blow had you gasping. Not because it was overly painful – in fact, those pinpricks of pain were laced with pleasure, radiating outward from where his palm had firmly struck you. No, it was more that with the control and precision he showed, another realization struck you at that moment.
He really knew what he was doing.
This wasn’t just a college boyfriend who wanted to experiment with things he saw in porn, or a random bar hookup who thought he was more than he was.
No, Seokjin was the epitome of calculated control, had you eating out of the palm of his hand with one simple word. One look and you were his.
And fuck, if that didn’t make you melt.
You sighed happily as a hit came down on your other asscheek, another wave of arousal soaking your cunt.
“Do you want it harder?” he asked, voice low. The tone felt almost like a personal attack, honeyed words piercing your eardrums.
“Okay,” you whispered.
“Yes or no. Don’t just agree to do things because I suggest it,” he scolded, punishing you with a swat to your upper thigh that stung sharper than his previous blows.
“Yes, I want it.”
“Hm,” he hummed, nails scratching over your skin, just barely missing the heat of your core. “I think I would be more convinced if you begged.”
As much as most of your embarrassment had already faded, what with being bent over Seokjin’s lap, it took so much more to put your desires verbally out into the world. But the throbbing in your cunt was fierce, and the warmth from his previous strikes was already fading. And you wanted more.
“Please,” you whined weakly before taking a deep breath to amp yourself up. “Please, Jinnie, I want it harder.”
You barely had time to process the tiny chuckle he let out before his palm came down on you again, the additional force behind it making you shiver despite the warmth that spread through you.
You didn’t know exactly how many more times his hand struck your ass, but your quiet moans were interrupted by his voice once again.
“Harder?”
As much as you felt good, it still wasn’t enough. The sting wasn’t enough, the heat wasn’t enough. You wanted more, needed more.
“Yes, please.”
“Mm, there you go. Maybe I should do this more often if you’re going to be such a good girl for me after.”
He punctuated his statement with a harsh blow to your ass, the strength of it forcing a moan from your lungs. A hand stroked tenderly over where it had struck, before doing the same to the other cheek. You whimpered as you felt another gush of wetness spill from your cunt, squirming as another strike rained down.
Yes, this is what you wanted.
The feeling was heady, your mouth open and allowing all the sounds to spill from your lips. Every cell in your body felt hot, from your fingertips down to your toes. You were certain you must have been making a mess of his lap with how wet you were.
You didn’t realize how heavily you were breathing until the smacks stopped, fingers gently kneading at the raw skin instead. Your skin felt almost burned, but more than anything, you needed those hands to slip between your legs. Now that there was nothing else to distract you, your neglected pussy was desperate for something, anything.
“How are you?” he asked several moments later.
His continued soothing touch dampened the fire of your skin before long, but that only furthered your arousal, shifting in his lap in search of some relief. You itched for some pressure on your clit, but it wasn’t possible in the position he had you in.
“Good,” you breathed, pressing back into his touch.
“Good.” He let his fingers creep ever-so-closer to where you needed him most, rubbing against where your wetness had spread, just beside your outer folds. “I think you deserve a reward. What do you think?”
“Please,” you whined immediately, but luckily, he didn’t seem interested in making you wait any longer. Maybe it was the fact that he had been waiting just as long, or that he was just tired of your constant fidgeting in his lap.
A finger slid in without resistant – unsurprisingly, what with the way you could feel the air hitting your slick skin. Your walls clamped down on the intrusion immediately, and another finger slid down to rub tiny circles onto your clit.
You whined in relief, but Seokjin unfortunately held you down to keep you from thrusting back onto his hand.
“So fucking wet,” he murmured, slipping another finger in when he felt how easily you took the first.
As much as one didn’t feel like enough, two of his fingers was so much bigger than your own. The stretch had you gasping, the friction against your walls and clit making you moan out.
As he scissored his fingers inside of you, the slight burn had you hissing, though the constant ministrations on your clit made sure the pain never became your focus.
“Mm, are you sure you can take my cock?” he mused, smirking at the way you were already whimpering, increasing the pace of his thrusts as your moans got more frequent.
“I can!” you blurted out, sounding almost offended. He had to stifle a laugh. You had always been fun to rile up, and sex was no exception.
“Hm, okay,” he hummed, amusement colouring his tone. You almost called him out on it before his fingers pulled out of you abruptly.
“Jin-”
Before you could question him, beg him to come back, hold him against you – three fingers started easing their way inside of you.
You tensed up almost immediately at the harsher burn at your entrance, the stiffness of your body not doing you much of a favour. He paused all movement at your struggle.
“Relax. I’ll take care of you, okay?”
His words had you feeling more at ease, a reminder that he was here, he wanted you to feel good, and he only kept on making that fact clear.
You made a noise of agreement, forcing your muscles to relax despite how much they wanted to clamp down. You wanted his cock, after all. You could take his fingers.
He took his time with you, slowly easing his fingers in and scissoring them apart, all the while his other hand resting beneath your abdomen, rubbing into your clit. You keened under his continuous murmured praise, moaning as he began to thrust his fingers.
“That’s it,” he whispered, his own breaths beginning to get heavy as he watched you twitch and whine at his hand.
Once the discomfort passed, your pleasure crested ridiculously fast with how long you’ve been waiting to be touched, filled. He stretched you open so wide, and you clenched around his digits at the thought of those fingers being his cock instead.
You were easily giving yourself away with how your walls were clamping down more and more, heavier gasps leaving you. The stroking at your clit wasn’t getting any slower, and soon enough you felt like you were going to snap.
“Gonna come all over my fingers, princess?” he asked roughly, his voice showing an uncharacteristic lack of control as he spread his fingers wide again.
“Please,” you said feebly, all other words having left your available vocabulary long ago. “Please.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll give it to you, baby.” The crook of his fingers took you by surprise, and with one, two, strokes against that spongy spot within you, you were gone.
Your orgasm stole the breath from your lungs, your legs going weak as waves of bliss hit you everywhere at once. His hands on you didn’t stop their motions, only sending new waves up your spine, shivers wracking your body as you grasped the closest object tightly – your nails digging into the cushion beneath you.
He only stopped when you started to squirm away as pain took over the pleasure, a whimper escaping as his fingers were removed.
If you thought you were getting a moment to breathe, you were wrong.
“Fuck, you’re going to be the death of me,” he growled.
Before you could blink, you were on your back, his lips attacking yours in a frenzy.
The grip he had on your thigh was sure to bruise, his still-clothed cock rocking into your sensitive pussy as he consumed your every thought, every desire.
You could taste yourself on his tongue, the realization only building the fire that had already been relit within you.
You allowed him to pull the shirt from your body, your skin left completely bare beneath his.
His gaze was somewhere between reverent and demonic, and he looked almost ready to pounce back on you before he paused.
“Bed?” His voice sounded strained, and you thought briefly back to what he said about how much self-control the past day has required from him. You glanced down at the bulge in his pants, and you had to keep yourself from grabbing at it, eager to give him his pleasure the same way he’d done for you.
“Okay.”
You didn’t think your lips formed the second syllable before you were being scooped up, your arms looping around his neck to steady yourself from the abrupt movement.
The walk to the bedroom was somewhat of a blur, your stomach lurching at the speed with which he moved. You’d known the man was quick, but experiencing it firsthand was partly unsettling, and partly... strangely sexy.
Your back hit the sheets with unexpected force, your body bouncing back up from the impact. You’d never considered strength to be such a significant turn-on, but combined with everything else about him, it seemed to make Seokjin the most dangerously attractive man you’ve ever encountered.
You thought you were about to get fucked into the mattress – the hunger in Seokjin’s stare only cementing the thought – but it seemed that he had other ideas.
“Jin-”
You were about to beg him to touch you, fuck you, do literally anything – when his hands wrapped around your ankles, spreading your legs apart enough that you could begin to feel the strain in your thighs.
The way he was gazing at your fully exposed core almost made you self-conscious before you took in the way his breathing was heavier than you’d ever seen it, the crimson completely having taken over the brown of his irises.
“I have – I have to taste you,” he groaned.
He sprung on you in an instant, plush lips wrapping around your clit and sucking before his tongue moved down to lap at your arousal.
While you were still a bit sensitive from your last orgasm, the discomfort was nothing in comparison to the bliss lighting up your nerves. You were a slave to pleasure under his tongue, hands holding you down as you attempted to buck up into him instinctively.
His tongue attacked you like a man starved, his unabashed moans into your heat leaving you gasping.
But as much as he was successfully making you lose your mind, you didn’t want to cum like this.
“Jin, fuck-” you whimpered, body aching to grind up into his face despite your next words.
He only hummed into your pussy at your noises, motions not pausing whatsoever.
“Fuck me, please,” you begged, a hand winding into his hair in an attempt to pull him off you.
You almost thought he was pretending not to hear you when he didn’t react straightaway, but not long after, he pulled off of you.
He didn’t even say a word in response, only shucking off his pants and boxers with a heaving chest.
You swore your pussy throbbed when you saw his cock, only moreso when he fisted it with a hiss, lips that were glistening with your arousal widening to reveal sharp white fangs.
“I have to be inside you right fucking now,” he snarled, dragging your body down by the thighs to meet him where he knelt.
You felt almost feverish, your hands reaching to yank Seokjin by the shoulders, the need to be closer taking over your every thought.
He kissed you frantically as the head of his cock rubbed against your clit, your back arching up into him, his closeness still not close enough for you.
You were so close to pleading with him not to draw this out, but he settled himself against your entrance, his other arm supporting himself by your head. When he started to push in, you could only whimper.
You knew he was big when he grasped himself in his hand only moments before, but for all his preparation, it felt like you were being split open.
You clung onto his biceps as he rocked himself forward at a snail’s pace, nails digging into his skin as you clamped down on him reflexively. It burned, but you wanted it so bad. As much as the discomfort was intense, you could feel yourself getting wetter by the second, unable to stop panting into Seokjin’s mouth.
You whined as he nibbled at your bottom lip, one of his hands rubbing soothing circles into your thigh, the other in your hair. But when you felt fangs puncture your lip ever-so-slightly before he sucked it into his mouth, all breath was stolen from you.
It was only the smallest fraction of the pleasure you felt the night before, but that was enough to have your head thrown back, hips raising to meet Seokjin’s.
It almost seemed that he wasn’t expecting you to thrust upward onto him, a strangled groan leaving his throat as you shoved more of him inside you.
The stretch remained overwhelming, but the pain felt like a distant memory, new arousal making the glide smoother.
“Good?” he gasped against your collarbone, hot breaths hitting your skin as his hair brushed against your face. The arm holding him up was trembling at your side, the fingers on your thigh tightening their hold as if to physically hold himself together.
Part of you just wanted him to lose control.
“So good,” you moaned, shoving your hips up again, volume increasing exponentially when he allowed you to push him in to the hilt.
“Fuck,” he growled, arm moving to form a bruising grip on your other thigh, his chest moving away from yours. “Are you that desperate for it?”
The question was accompanied by a sharp snap of his hips that sent you reeling, too breathless for any sound to escape.
He spread your thighs apart even further, a hand beneath your left knee lifting your leg towards his chest.
The next quick thrust hit you even harder at that angle, a choked-out whine escaping you. Your fingers dug into the sheets as he ground himself into you, your pussy feeling split so overwhelmingly wide.
You were wound up so tight, you thought you were going to go crazy. It was impossible to think straight when he only did quick snaps of his hips at random intervals. You didn’t think you’d ever been hornier than this moment, and you swore you could feel the arousal leaking from your cunt.
You could see sparks of light behind your eyelids with how tightly you had them shut. You bit down hard on your bottom lip, the flesh still tender from Seokjin’s bite.
His thrusts became slow and deep, tiny gasps leaving your open mouth.
“Look at me,” he snarled suddenly, the sheer command in his voice sending shivers up your spine, gaze snapping onto him immediately. It took a moment for your vision to focus properly, still drowning in the sensation of his cock still moving within you.
If you thought he looked fierce, hungry, dangerous – you were his polar opposite.
To put it simply, you were a mess.
You were too lost in it all to notice the stutter in his hips when he locked eyes with you, but he almost stopped breathing entirely.
Your eyes were glazed over in pleasure, the tears just beginning to gather there only making their colour all the more enticing. Your expression was slack, and it looked like you couldn’t decide between clamping down on your bottom lip or leaving your mouth wide-open. You looked so vulnerable, so willing to put all of your trust in him to take care of you, make you feel good.
And fuck, if it wasn’t the most beautiful sight he’d ever seen.
His movements after that caught you off guard, his abrupt rough thrusting engulfing your body in flames of bliss, loud moan leaving you. As much as holding his gaze made everything feel so much more intense, you just couldn’t. Your head fell back onto the pillow, back arching as much as he would allow you to move in his tight hold.
“You feel so fucking good,” he groaned, his voice sounding almost helpless and he continued his movements, his arms the only thing keeping you from shifting up the mattress. As his gasps transitioned to groans and then loud moaning, you could feel yourself nearing your peak again.
He slowed his movements, the heavy panting reaching your eardrums and having you clench around him instinctively. The choked-out groan in response told you he was close, too.
“Jin,” you called out, the word so breathy that you almost didn’t recognize it despite it coming from your own lips.
You raised an arm to weakly grab at his body, hoping he got the message himself. You wanted him close, but highly doubted that you could manage to form the words right now.
Luckily, he seemed to know exactly what you wanted, dropping your leg and moving to hover over you, your breasts brushing his chest. He started thrusting slowly again, his head dropping to your collarbone as a hand wound into the hair at your scalp.
With him right on top of you, his pubic bone was brushing against your clit, the added stimulation having you whine loudly and dig your nails harshly into the skin of his back.
He didn’t seem to mind, a loud groan leaving him as he started mouthing at your neck, sucking bruises into the flesh.
But when you felt fangs briefly scrape over your skin, only one thought came to mind and refused to leave.
You wanted it, wanted his fangs to sink into you, wanted to feel that again. Now.
“Bite me,” you whimpered, pushing your head into the pillow and arching your back, eager to give him free reign as your orgasm inched closer and closer.
You expected him to protest, expected him to deny you, expected him to pull away.
But he did none of those things.
Instead, fangs sunk deeply into your neck with a feral growl, almost as soon as he heard the words leave your lips.
That same immense burst of pain rendered you motionless for a split second before that all-consuming euphoria descended on you.
You vaguely registered Seokjin moaning loudly above you as his hips stuttered, his lips locked on your neck. But you felt almost disconnected from the world, as though every nerve in your body was firing, your cunt pulsating around him as you reached the strongest high you’d ever felt.
It felt almost instinctual to grip at his back tightly, pulling him close, as if he’d ever want to leave. You didn’t even realize how loud you were being, your peak only going higher and higher, to the point of being overwhelming.
Tears streamed from where your eyes were clamped shut, moans turning into sobs as Seokjin ground against your overstimulated clit, your pussy clenched around him tightly.
You were so far gone you didn’t even notice the warmth spilling into you as he groaned loudly into your skin, his movements slowing before he pulled his mouth from you.
The crash was almost immediate, exhaustion and soreness taking over your limbs as you gasped for breath, the hands on Seokjin’s back falling limp. It felt like all the strength was sapped from your body, your consciousness half-absent.
You thought you heard Seokjin fussing over you, his hands wiping tears from your face, but to be honest, it was all a blur. He disconnected with you easily despite your mumbled protests, dropping a kiss on your forehead with a soft command not to move. You didn’t think you were capable of such a thing anyway.
You hardly registered his absence before he was back with a wet cloth. You didn’t know if that was because of his speed or because you were too tired to pay attention.
The next thing you knew, he had rolled you to lay on top of him, your face tucked into his neck as he stroked at your back. Normally, you might have complained about how much colder he was than you, but your skin was still so heated that the coolness was a relief.
You could tell that he was saying something quietly, unsure whether he was asking you something or not. His voice only brought you warm comfort, your arm moving to wrap around his waist.
You honestly weren’t too sure how long you laid there until your senses started coming back to you, but the hand on your back never stopped its soothing motions. The realization made you strangely embarrassed, wondering how long you’ve been out of it.
“Did I fall asleep?” you mumbled, nuzzling into the softness of Seokjin’s neck.
“Not really, it hasn’t been too long,” he responded, though the way he paused made it seem that he had more to say. It took a few moments before he got the words out. “Did I go too hard? Was it too much?”
Despite the low volume of his voice, he sounded almost frantic, and your brows furrowed. Why was he so worried?
“Of course not. I asked you for it, I knew exactly what I was getting into.”
He sighed heavily, his hands on you pausing. “I know, I just – I got worried when you were barely responding to me. I guess I was just afraid that you would be scared of me after.”
You felt a tinge of guilt at his concern, but logically it was nobody’s fault. As much as you wanted to take his face in your hands and tell him that you don’t regret anything and there wasn’t a world where you could ever be scared of him, you doubted your ability to do so right now. Instead, you hoped that simple reassurance could be enough.
“I loved it,” you said plainly, sleepiness clear in your voice. You were fighting past the fog in your brain to talk to him, wanting to make sure he knew where you stood.
“I loved it too,” he whispered before bringing up the blanket to cover both of you. “You sound tired. Why don’t we sleep?”
“Wait.”
“Hm?” he hummed in response, his confused expression hid from your view.
“Are you my boyfriend?” Your words sounded almost slurred with how close you were to unconsciousness, but his chest bouncing as he chuckled told you that he heard you just fine.
You were dangerously close to dreamland, but you caught his answer right before you fell asleep in his arms.
“Yeah, I’m your boyfriend.”
