In the first one, Bruce has his cowl on but is sitting shirtless on their bed in the early dawn hours after getting severely injured on patrol the night before. Talia rushed to help him with his injuries as he started to talk about the burdens and trials of tomorrow—which caused Talia to caress his face and promise, “There will be time to worry of the future soon enough. But for now you must relax... You need comforting. I can give you all you need... And more.” Bruce admits, “Talia, you tempt me...”

In the second panel, it's the same day but they're dressed to go outside the ski resort they're taking refuge in. Talia is holding onto his arm as he was talking about the mission before he tells her, “But that's tomorrow. Tonight, well... First, dinner.” Talia smiles softly and prompts, “And then...?” Bruce responds, “Then we'll discuss that comforting you mentioned earlier.”

In the third panel, it's that night. They had dinner and dodged an assassination attempt, which caused Bruce to start to talk about the even bigger dangers that awaits them tomorrow. Talia gently tells him, “The moon is so beautiful, Bruce. Too beautiful to be wasted worrying.” They kiss in front of the moonlight and Talia reminds him, “We talked about comforting...” END ID]

When superhero fans assign counterparts and give Duke Thomas Miles Morales,that's all i need to know that they don't actually read comics and just can't be bothered to diffinchirate black characters because they see them as only the first word and never both.Obviously there's instinces where it's irl black people being happy for proper and positive rep so i have no beef with them but nonblacks doing it is genuinely so gross because if anything Duke's like Hobie Brown both in story and personality and Miles is Jason Todd for the same reasons AND down to their color palettes and Miles G is even Red Hood-adjacent but they can't think about more than a token numbers of black characters at once or they get scared and their ideal Jason writing involves no poc matering to him so that's why they cut out Talia,Dana,Rose,Artemis,Kyle and Duke himself with segregation scissors and only find him being latino hot when he's racially ambigious as if he dosen't share a personality with like half the black men in existense

Hmm between Talia faking a miscarriage because she was so hyperaware of the danger of her environment and what that could mean for her child, especially with Bruce throwing himself into even more danger for her…. and Dinah flat out telling Ollie she doesn’t want children because she can’t stand the thought of creating orphans in the event she and Ollie die, and choosing the hero lifestyle over children….

and then both of these women getting turned into mothers/mother figures for children who are closer to Bruce/Ollie anyways.

If there is a single moment where things go wrong, it’s here at the very end. A single conversation referencing the events of Death and the Maidens (where Ra’s dies and Nyssa uses the pit to torture Talia to the breaking point) is when Talia gives Jason the directive “punish” Bruce and gets sexual with him. The fandom loves pit-madness for Jason but if anyone’s got actual canon basis for it, it’s Talia.

They both sit on the park bench admiring how Damian swung himself among the monkey bars.

After a deep breath she finally asked. “Do you ever miss us?”

“How could I not.” Bruce replied, running his hands through his hair. “ I mean at first I was just a boy fascinated by this beautiful girl who could wield a sword and speak more languages that I could have thought possible. But, slowly you became my friend, someone to teach me those languages and how to hold my fist or my sword and with that you became more than a friend. You transformed into my beloved and by gods did I love you Talia. The moments we would spend after training when you would wrap my hands and I could finally get more than a smirk out of you. Or when we traveled past Nanda Parbat and I realized your sharp tongue was less brutal and more concerned. But just like my time in the league, I began to realize that my time with you was limited and conditional.”

“So you did not love me enough to stay. To fight. Or for gods sake to even run, with me. Instead you left in a reckless explosion and the damage you caused was to more than just a building or a few assassins. You, Bruce Wayne, managed to fracture the heart that I often denied I had.” Talia’s voice began to rise as as she went on, now facing Bruce.

“That’s not fair-”

“What’s not fair is realizing you left without a goodbye or a note. What is not fair is that I spent 13 months falling in love with you and 3 years facing the reprecussions. Did you think my father would not be angry. Angry that he spent so much time and energy into you, his heir, only for you to leave. Did you not care with whom that anger would be placed with. We’ll surprise beloved, these scars are not only from my duties.”

“Talia,I’m sorry.” Bruce said as he attempted to reach for her hand.

“ I’m sorry as well beloved, that the love you placed in me, in us was so fragile.” She whispered as she pulled away and faced back towards the playground.

I remember watching the batman: under the red hood movie as a teen and wanting to see even more of jason todd's tactical brilliance and combat knowledge in the comics, only to get confused as hell on where to start. Had to look up a guide on which comics to read because apparently DC keeps shitting on and bastardising their own characters than their own fans. We have yet to get a solid jason todd run other than the old comics

Legit they do everyone dirty at least once and for the dumbest reasons. Grant Morrison didn't even read Son of Batman before his rebooted version, and because he was going through some dark family shit he just...retconned Talia and Bruce's son to be the product of her raping him? For no reason? And then that stuck for years until they finally retconned it back to being a consensual happy accident.

Or the infamous Batman: All-Stars which iirc has the classic stupid line of Bruce going "I'm the goddamn Batman". Comic writers are such a breed of people sometimes
