The “Dick is angry Robin, Jason is happy Robin” thing is great because it’s a subversion of dc’s classist bullshit with Jason and fandom’s infantilization of Dick. But also like. I really need y’all to take a step back and pretend you only know about Batman and Robin from general pop culture. Because the kid dressed in bright colors saying “holy guacamole Batman!” is Dick Grayson. And he grew up and became angsty-ridden, but as a child? He was the classic happy-go-lucky sidekick. It really doesn’t need to be either or between Jason and Dick. They were both heavily traumatized, but they were also both kids in a happy household who got to be superheroes.
