Birthstone Legacy Challenge

Ok, I don’t post a lot on here, but I’m a huge fan of the sims. I’ve been playing it since gen 1 back in 2000. So, I’ve been having fun with challenges, especially the past couple years with 100 Baby, and I’ve found online. And after reading hearing and reading up on Lilsimsie’s Not So Berry Challenge, I had an idea of my own challenge. So, I thought I’d share if anyone else wanted to play along.

Disclaimer: These challenges mean nothing in regards to people born in that month. I simply took symbolism and cultural aspects of each stone to create a challenging and interesting playthroughs you might not think to do.

Lifespan requirements: Normal (not sure if it’s possible on Short, but if you want hard mode, do it).

The idea is to start with your month’s birthstone, then each generation is the next month’s stone for either 10 generations (traditional Legacy), or 12 if you wan to do the full year. You could also start on the month after your birth month with a full year play-through, so your birth month acts as a “finale”. Might be helpful if say your birth month is April, and you know your month’s stone is Diamond and to you it sounds like a finisher, or if your birth month is December, and you’d just prefer to start with January’s stone. It’s up to you.

These will just be listed month by month, so they are easy to find.

Like in the other color challenges, you want to model your sim with the stone’s colors in mind. You should also build their house with their stone’s color in mind.

1. January stone: GARNET

Color: Dark Red

Garnets have a high refractive index, which causes them to look as if they are emitting light. Due to this phenomenon, travelers during the crusades would carry them to ward off evil. The stone represents Faith, Love and Constance.

Traits: Good, Ambitious, Cheerful

Goals:

- Complete the Soulmate aspiration

- Complete the Law career as a judge.

- Must maintain career until death (meaning no retirement, quitting, or being fired).

- Must have at least 2 kids after the soulmate aspiration is fulfilled.

- All children must be raised with all green character values and no lower than Bs in school.

2. February stone: AMETHYST

Color: Purple

The word Amethyst comes from the Greek word, amethystos, meaning “not drunken.” This comes from a myth where Dionysus was so enraged, he vowed his wrath on the next human he saw, which was a young woman, Amethystos. To “save” this woman, Artemis turned her to stone (note to self, don’t ask Artemis to save you ever, because her track record sucks). Dionysus calmed at seeing the stone’s beauty, and poured his wine on it, giving the stone it’s purple color. In more recent centuries, amethysts have been associated with piety and rank in the Catholic Church, as bishops are given amethysts when they are appointed.

Traits: Genius, Bookworm, Snob (If you have Snowy escape, replace one of these with Proper).

Goals:

-Complete the Knowledge - Renaissance Sim aspiration.

-Complete the Education Career as a Professor.

-Can not go to bars or nightclubs

-Max out Logic, Writing, and a musical skill (Violin, Guitar, Piano, or Singing)

-Can never marry or enter into an official dating relationship; HOWEVER must have at least 1 kid at some point to continue the legacy. This can be through adoption, which is more likely if you want to play pure piety or you have an Ace sim in mind, and the adoptee must be a child or teen. The other option is through secret woohoos if you want to play the more historically accurate, seedy way. **If you are playing with Risky Woohoos, you can have max 2 kids living with you. All others children must be removed from the house and into a Townie’s home once they become toddlers.

3. March stone: AQUAMARINE

Color: Light Blue

Due to aquamarine’s sea-like color, they’ve long been associated with traveling and the sea. Sailors used to put them under their pillows to calm themselves. They are said to inspire peace and ward off poisons.

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Glutton, Loner

Goals:

-Complete Angling Ace aspiration.

-Eat out of the trash 5 times without getting sick.

-Have an aquarium with 10 fish.

-Catch a vampire squid. ** Or if you have Island Living, you must become a mermaid.

-Must eat and learn to make Pufferfish Nigiri.

4. April stone: DIAMOND

Color: White/Silver

Diamond is the hardest stone on Earth, and is often associated with wealth and treasures. The word diamond comes from the greek word adamas, meaning unconquerable. They are the most popular of the stones, and so recently have been “Lab Grown.”

Traits: Ambitious, Insider, Perfectionist

Goals:

-Complete the Scientist career.

-Complete Leader of the Pack aspiration.

-Find all the crystals.

-Must clone a diamond.

-Become best friends with Judith Ward and have a framed selfie with her in your house.

-Date/marry someone in the Style-influencer career.

5. May stone: EMERALD

Color: Dark Green

Emeralds are an old stone, first mined in ancient Egypt. Cleopatra was known to wear them frequently. They are said to symbolize fertility, wisdom, and Spring. It’s also said to heal heartbreak.

Traits: Jealous, Romantic, Materialistic

Goals:

-Master Gardening skill.

-Date and 100% romance a politician, then break up with them.

-Have at least 3 kids from multiple partners (each must have reached 100% romance first).

-Breed a frog worth over $100

-Must complete Fabulously Wealthy aspiration

-Does not marry, UNLESS you have Strangerville, and can marry an Officer in the Military Branch. However, when they die, so does your sim.

6. June stone: PEARL

Color: White/Cream

Pearls are created by oysters and are considered the “perfect” gem, as it needs no man-mad alterations. Pearls are often attributed to wisdom through experience, as well as innocence and fertility.

Traits: Childish, Perfectionist, Family-oriented

Goals:

-Must have 5 kids before becoming an adult.

-Must complete the Curator aspiration.

-Must master 10 skills. ** If you are using Tiny House perks, 15 skills.

7. July stone: RUBY

Color: Bright Red

Rubies are well known for their blood-red color, earning their association with health and vitality. They are also symbols of love, passion, and prosperity.

Traits: Self-Assured, Romantic, Self-Absorbed

Goals:

-Complete Serial Romantic aspiration.

-Master Cooking, Athletic, and Charisma skills.

-Complete Doctor Career.

-Must Woohoo at least once in each: Closet, Jacuzzi, Observatory, Bush, Spaceship, Lighthouse, Pile of leaves, Shower, Coffin.

8. August stone: PERIDOT

Color: Light Green

Peridot is the stone of compassion, bringing health and peace to emotions and the mind. It inspires eloquence, creativity, and good cheer.

Traits: Creative, Vegetarian, Goofball

Goals:

-Complete the Painter Career.

-Master Painting, Photography, and Handiness skills.

-Paint 5 Masterpieces.

-Craft a bathtub of excellent quality.

-Complete Painter Extraordinaire aspiration.

9. September stone: SAPPHIRE

Color: Royal Blue

With the most famous sapphires being Princess Diana’s iconic engagement ring and The Heart of the Ocean in Titanic, it’s now wonder Sapphires hue long been associated with nobility and power. The stone symbolizes strength, loyalty, and focus through self-discipline.

Traits: Materialistic, Genius, Insider ** If you have snowy escape, Proper takes place for Materialistic.

Goals:

-Complete the Law Career as a Private Attorney.

-Complete the Mansion Baron aspiration.

-Must start a club with Wealthy requirement ($30,000+). *If you start a fraternity/sorority in University, it counts if wealthy is listed as a requirement.

-Max out Charisma, Logic, and Writing skills.

-Must marry another club leader.

-Must get Gold in Wedding Social Event, and pay full $1750. Minimum of 10 guests.

-Must have a son. (He does not HAVE to be the continuation of the Legacy, but he can if you want. Also, if you have a born daughter, but decide to transition her, that does not count. Since it’s a click of a button without game mechanic influence, it’s kind of cheating. HOWEVER, if you decide your born son should transition, it still counts. This is mostly to take the steps during pregnancy to make a boy (since we’ve all watched others influence for a girl 1000x), That or to keep going until “the odds are in your favor.”)

10. October stone: PINK TOURMALINE

Color: Pink

Pink Tourmaline, also known as October rose, represents humanity, sympathy to others, and humanitarian work. It’s believed to carry the virtue of love that is unconditional, offering comfort to children and lasting friendships.

Traits: Unflirty, Gloomy, Outgoing

Goals:

-Complete the Politician career as a Charity Organizer.

-Complete Friend to the World aspiration.

-Adopt 2 kids (Do not have to be legacy continuation).

-Max out friendship/be best friends with 4 sims before becoming an Adult. The friendship must be maintained throughout life.

-Have a rose garden.

-Write 5 Children’s books.

-Volunteer with family 5 times.

*If you get the pop-up asking to donate to charity, you must if you have the money.

11. November stone: CITRINE

Color: Dark Yellow (almost Gold)

Citrine’s yellow stone radiates happiness, creativity, and wealth. Named for it’s citrus like color, it’s no wonder it’s the stone for a month known for it’s food. Citrine is known also as the Merchant’s stone for it’s golden color.

Traits: Cheerful, Foodie, Creative

Goals:

-Complete Culinary Career.

-Complete Culinary aspiration.

-Master Cooking and baking skills.

-Own a fruit and vegetable garden with every possible fruit and veggie in your game.

-Own a Bakery or Restaurant.

-Cook an Excellent quality Grand Meal.

-Learn 10 Food Stall recipes.

12. December stone: Turquoise

Color: Blue/Green (Teal)

Turquoise is an odd one. In European cultures, it’s the stone of friendship and attracts money and luck, but is also frequently used in Evil Eye talismans. Historically, Montezuma II gifted these gems to Cortez, the Spanish Conquistador. The Apache used turquoise as well, as a charm on their bows for better aim.

Traits: Evil, Outgoing, Kleptomaniac

Goals:

-Max out Mischief and Charisma skills.

-Complete the Criminal Career.

-Complete Public Enemy aspiration.

-Start a Kleptomaniac club.

-Steal an object worth $10,000

-Marry someone with the Good trait, and cheat on them 5 times.

Several minutes pass. Everything seems fine and people are on task. Yet things are a little tense. No one is talking. They’re all learning the rules and being cautious. Nora casually follows Jaune to do wiring and go just about everywhere. She can feel it in her gut. “I’m onto you.” She thinks as he suddenly sprints around a corner out of sight. Suddenly, lights shut off. Things suddenly feel like a bad idea.

Nora:What the!? That’s cheap. Maybe stalking someone alone was a bad idea. Oh! I’ll get Ren t-

Ruby:Where was everyone? I was doing trash.

Blake and Yang:Med bay.

Weiss:This map is confusing. Communications, maybe?

Jaune:No, I was there. Unless there’s another one.

Ren:A room with a tree.

Yang:It’s totally Jaune. He’s alone and already knows the map.

Ruby:I know the map. Weiss is just bad. You’re bad if you don’t know the map!

Yang:I know it.

RWPJ:THEN YOUR POINT MAKES NO SENSE!

Times up. No one voted. Two imposters remain.

Jaune walked back two wards communications. The group had gotten pretty familiar with all the cool things possible. Cameras, vents, everything. This time two people followed Jaune. Yang and Blake. He started sweating.

Yang:Why are universe lady killer? Running out of luck?

Jaune:It’s possible. You two could possibly kill me then cover it up. Do your tasks!

Yang:We were together all the time last round. We’re in the clear.

Blake:It’s you that’s in the hot seat.

Ren:*getting oxygen* Who do you think did it?

Ruby:I don’t wanna point fingers, but Yang would totally thrive in this game. But Weiss is possible too. Stay focused. Killing Nora was to make you stirred up. Keep a cool-

Reactor Meltdown

Ren:That’s not good.

Ruby:You go left, I’ll go right! Be safe!

Jaune:I’m going to stop the-

Blake:It’s taking you awhile on that panel Jaune. Don’t tell me you’re stalling?

Jaune:No, I’m just bad! Let me go the reactor or we lose!

Yang:Ooorrr I go. If Blake dies then you’re dead! If you don’t finish that panel-

Jaune:You have 30 seconds!

Yang goes sprinting out of the room. Blake goes to do her task across the room. She’s definitely sure it’s Jaune. This plan is full proof. Yeah if she dies then that would suck but-

Jaune:Ummm why hasn’t anyone stopped the reactor yet?

The counter was already at ten. What was taking Yang so long!? Both ran to the door in a panic to reach the reactor but then-

Report!

Everyone spawned back at the button. Well not everyone. Yang’s named was crossed out, and Ruby had teary eyes with a finger pointed at Weiss.

Ruby:MURDERER!!!

📢Weiss:Ruby it’s not what you think! I-

Ruby:Oh I saw! I saw perfectly! Right on the bridge leading to the reactor panel on the right. You were right over her corpse!

Blake:What!?

Weiss:I know it looks bad, but I found her like this! I run because I saw 1 out of 2 on the panels-

Ren:Me. I was on the other panel. Ruby was with getting oxygen and chose to get the other one.

Ruby:Yeah I wasn’t expecting to walk in on a crime scene.

Weiss:Wait! I was all the way at the bottom of the map. You should’ve gotten there before me.

Blake:Oh now you can read a map!?

Weiss:It takes time! It has to be Ruby.

Ruby:WHAT!?

Pyrrha:I was in electrical by the way. I know nobody was with me but I promise I’m innocent.

RWBR:We know Pyrrha.

Jaune:I don’t think it’s you but the fact you’ve been alone twice now.

Blake:Oh no, you’re definitely still an imposter Jaune.

Ruby:NONE OF THAT MATTERS! I want Weiss out right now!

The reaper puts her vote in.

Weiss:Ruby!

Ruby:Sister killer! You were by yourself too. I know you Weiss, always plotting. I came across a locked door while heading there that slowed me down. Nobody can confirm where you were, and you could’ve easily vented to get where you needed to be. You’re just mad I caught you so you self reported.

Weiss:That’s- I....don’t be a dolt. You all can’t be serious, right?

Pyrrha hugs a crying Ruby while the others have their heart ache at the sight. They all look at Weiss suspiciously, taking the risk to vote. It was unanimous. Weiss was immediately escorted to the air lock, struggling the whole way.

Weiss:You’re being tricked! I’m innocent!!

Ruby:Tell it to the souls you’ve taken.

She was shot into space. All of them watching her drift away. Ruby rubbed her eyes, then gasped.

Weiss was not an imposter. 2 imposters remain.

Ruby slowly backed away towards Ren. Right now, he was the only trustworthy one. Someone’s playing mind games and it’s working two well. Nobody had the chance to get anything done before Jaune presser the emergency button.

Jaune:Okay, we obviously need a minute to reevaluate-

Blake:You’re an imposter!

Jaune:We were in a room together! Why wouldn’t I kill you and vent away. At that point I could’ve made up a story! But no, I just wanna shoot asteroids!

Pyrrha:Fair point, it would’ve been a double kill.

Ruby:All of you look suspicious except for Ren! *votes Jaune*

Pyrrha:Ruby! He only pressed the button to clear the air!

Ren:He did just come up with a good argument.

Blake:I’m voting for Jaune.

Jaune:Well I’m skipping! Pyrrha please skip two before there’s two imposters and two crew mates. This is very bad time to throw caution to the wind.

Pyrrha:I agree. *skips*

Ren:....*skips* If someone dies next round and it isn’t Jaune then it’s definitely Jaune. You’re on thin ice, so are you Pyrrha. You agree with him easily.

Pyrrha:Ren, that’s not suspicious. I do that in real life.

Blake:And he’s using it to his advantage.

Jaune:You’ve been gunning for me since the start basically, even though you were with me. That’s pretty suspicious.

They all went their separate ways except for Ren and Ruby. This was dire. Everyone sounded sketch and friendships were crumbling. Next time for sure, a vote needed to happen. Pyrrha found herself going back near the button whe Jaune came out of a room to the right, alone. Both of them looked at each nervously.

Pyrrha:What are your tasks? I’ve already seen two other people enter that room before?

Jaune:I was checking vitals. We’re all alive and my tasks are done. What are you doing?

Pyrrha:I was gonna call another meeting. Say, are you saying I’ll go in that room right now and we’re fine?

Jaune:There is no body in there. Check for yourself. If I was an imposter then I’d be on cool down. Plus you could report and I’d feel the vaccum of space.

Pyrrha nodded and peeked in. No blood or anything. She went to the vitals to confirm that everyone actually was alive. The imposters must’ve known how risky things are now. It was fine. Tasks were almost done. Jaune was finally looking normal. She breathed a sigh or relief.

Jaune:Don’t tell me you were expecting a body?

Pyrrha:*red* I’m sorry!

Jaune:It happens. Honestly I thought you were about to stab me.

Pyrrha:I don’t like this game. It’s stressful. Doubting my friends isn’t exactly fun.

Jaune:What we need is a trap. A play that leaves Blake and Ruby red handed.

Pyrrha:You think it’s them?

Jaune:It has to be, and I know just the way to check one of them and keep us in the game. Pyrrha, I have a plan....

Ruby and Ren watched the cameras in silence. Blake was at the trash while Pyrrha and Jaune were near the button. Ruby looked at Ren and smiled.

Ruby:It’s Blake and Jaune.

Ren:How can you tell?

Ruby:Unless Blake has a similar task, I did trash already. Shall we question her, or wait for actual proof.

Ren:Tasks are almost done. We might be able t-

Reactor Meltdown

Ren:Shit, Pyrrha can’t press the button now.

Ruby:But this also gives us a chance! Imma about to catch them red handed! Ren, stay on cameras and watch me go to the left. That way you can report my body if get killed, or out them if they self report. Jaune’s not dumb. He has to go right in order to act innocent and cancel the meltdown. Pyrrha would catch on otherwise. Especially if Blake goes right and nothing is fixed or they’re both alive. Meaning...

Ren:Blake has to go left or stay where she is.

Ruby and Ren high-five and get to work. Ruby starts sprinting as fast as she can. Ren checks the right side and sure enough, Jaune has a hand on the panel. Blake comes up from the bottom to where Pyrrha is. It would be dangerous if Blake killed her, but then she would definitely get voted out. The faunus slowly gets closer to the red head when suddenly, the cameras get jacked.

Ren:What!?

Pyrrha:Go left!

Blake:Gotcha!

Blake runs to the left to get the other panel. So far so good. Let’s see how right Jaune is. Pyrrha stared at the camera. Strange, she was certain it was on earlier. Now it was off, then flicked back on briefly. Seconds later, the meltdown ended but she didn’t press the button. Not yet. She was told to wait five seconds. In that amount of time, Blake might-

Report!

📢Blake:Guys, Ren is-

RJP:You killed him.

Blake:Wh-What? No, I found him on the ground in the camera room!

Ruby:Yeah, where you killed him. I thought you’d go after me. Sloppy mistake, Blake. Now we caught you.

Jaune:I cut off the meltdown, and Ruby had to get the other one. I found it funny how eager you were to get rid of me by vote. You killed Nora to add to the suspicions. You couldn’t kill me directly because of Yang. She wasn’t an imposter but stuck to you like glue.

Pyrrha:So you had your partner kill her because you couldn’t do it without outing yourself. But if Jaune died alone with you after all that blame then you’d be caught! If you payed attention then you would’ve saw the cameras were on this round. You killed Ren without him noticing then checked them yourself.

Jaune:You soon realized you could only self report because the meltdown ended. No way you could get to the panel that fast unless you vented. Now the real question is how committed are you two bluffing, Ruby Rose? If you don’t vote Blake....

Pyrrha:Then you’re definitely the second imposter.

Blake:Ruby don’t believe them! We know Jaune is definitely-

Ruby:*votes Blake* You betrayed my sister and made me accidentally vote for Weiss because I swept up in emotions. Just like how you got Ren to look at Jaune after Nora died. I’m done with you.

The others voted for Blake. The girl could say nothing. She was at a loss for words. The trap was perfect, calculated to a the last detail. Blake took a deep sigh and walked to the airlock, giving Jaune one final look.

Blake:Well played...

The airlock opened and the three watched their friend get launched into space.

Pyrrha:Jaune that idea was amaz-

Blake was not an imposter.

Pyrrha felt her blood go cold. Those were not the words she wanted to see. She didn’t even turn around to look her “friends” and chose to stare out the window. She felt both of them pat her back. 2 imposters still remained. A problem for her, the remaining crew mate. The sight of Ruby holding a gun and Jaune with a knife was visible in the window reflection.

Ruby:Knife or bullet. You deserve the choice.

Pyrrha:Jaune’s stabbed me in back metaphorically already. Might as well do it physically.

Jaune:That’s fair.

Imposters Win

Jaune and Ruby:Oh yeah!!!! That’s why we’re leaders!

Weiss:You can’t say that after killing your teammates!

Nora:I demand an explanation!

Jaune:Ren is too smart and figures things out fast. Had to kill you first anyways. You saying I was an imposter was just an unfortunate coincidence. But let’s talk about how you were my only kill.

Pyrrha:Ruby, you killed everyone else!?

Yang:I walked halfway up that bridge thing to the panel and then she comes running down it and kills me. Now I’m watching as ghost as she jumps into a vent and waits for Weiss to find me to put on the most believable performance of her life. You killed me, then cried about it!

Weiss:I was pleading to a murderer! You put blame on Jaune so he could do it to you and throw the trail off!

Ruby:I also told Ren that it was either you or Yang, that way he’d vote the way I wanted. I think Blake was the real crown of the plan.

Jaune:This is why you don’t blame people so fast. You had to go.

Blake:Ren, what happened to you?

Ren:*face palming*So I was watching everyone until the cameras went out, which I now know was Ruby’s doing, because she had the nerve to kill her camera last. She looked right into it as she jumped into a vent back to me.

Ruby:If you were watching then I knew you were still there and alone. I killed him, took a vent back to where I was supposed to be, stopped the meltdown, and pinned the death of Blake. All with the simple lie about me taking out the trash and not killing Ren earlier.

Jaune:And I used Pyrrha’s trust. Thank you.

Pyrrha:Don’t talk to me! You got me to skip a vote and vote Blake off! Ruby, you cried in my arms! How could you use me like that!?

Jaune and Ruby:Because you’re so helpful! Thanks Pyrrha!

WBYNR:Yeah, thanks Pyrrha.

15) 10.09 The Things We Left Behind. Claire’s reintroduction isn’t as bad as some of her later appearances, mostly because she’s still hostile towards Cas and the Winchesters, but it’s still not great. There’s Rowena and Crowley drama I don’t care about, and Dean kills a bunch of people, which is kinda fun, but would be more interesting if it had any consequences.

14) 14.09 The Spear. Michael’s monsters plan is pretty dumb. I’m still not clear on why Michael stopped possessing Dean at any point. Michael and Jack have a good conversation, and I suppose an assassination is the only viable plan for the Winchesters to go for, but most of this episode is just a series of “why” moments one after another.

13) 1.10 Asylum. This is a perfectly acceptable MOTW episode, and a ghost-addled Sam yelling at and punching Dean is fun, but it’s simply not up to snuff with the kind of plot or character development that the other midseason finales put on the table.

12) 13.09 The Bad Place. I really like Kaia and Jack here. The moment with the angels pounding on the ground to break the wards is genuinely pretty cool. The stakes get upped with the reveal that Mary’s being tortured in Apocaland, and Dean reacts by threatening Kaia at gunpoint, nice. It’s not a bad episode, and it’s not incredible either.

11) 12.08 LOTUS. Is this episode silly? Oh yes. Am I thoroughly entertained when watching it? Resoundingly yes. Every dumb terrible campy detail--like Lucifer turning crosses upside down—combined with the sheer balls-to-the-wall wtf-ery of the President being possessed, and the interspersed moments of genuine drama—as when Sam banishes Lucifer—creates a combination that I can’t help but enjoy. I also like the likely somewhat unintentional implications as to how the political landscape of the SPN world was changed by the sheer volume of apocalyptic events it’s experienced. Seems fair to conclude that God is angry.

10) 8.09 Citizen Fang. Dean sends Sam after Amelia with a fake text, as their s8 conflict comes to a head. This is far from the shadiest thing Dean’s ever done, but it’s so fascinatingly, unapologetically a Relationship Red Flag that I really enjoy it. Plus, I find Sam’s conflict with Benny pretty interesting here.

9) 6.11 Appointment in Samara. Dean’s deal with Death is a cool concept, and it’s set up well, but it falls a bit flat. Dean fails the test in a way that’s very predictable, and that has no consequences, because Death likes Sam enough to retrieve him anyway. The better part of this episode is Soulless’ desperate, last ditch attempt to save his life at the cost of Bobby’s—he screams and begs as his soul is returned, and I love the moral dilemma here.

8) 9.09 Holy Terror. Kevin!! His death was viscerally shocking and heartbreaking. This episode is consigned to mid B tier because of the angel drama I don’t care about, and because I am still torn on if I really like Kevin’s death thematically speaking. For one thing, I miss him to this day—I miss having a cynical, informed perspective on the Winchesters in the room. For another, it muddies the waters of Dean’s crime in having Gadreel possess Sam, in ways that are sometimes interesting but sometimes miss the point.

7) 15.08 Our Father, Who Aren’t in Heaven. *chanting* New Cage canon! New Cage canon! Jake Abel steals the show with his insane chemistry with himself, and makes the s15 conflict much more interesting just by existing. I love how goddamn uncomfortable Sam is this entire episode, I love Adam and Michael’s weird compelling dynamic, I love Dean’s awkwardness, and I love the four of them all together. I just want them to sit in a room and talk foreeeever.

6) 7.10 Death’s Door. I don’t even like Bobby that much, but even I have to admit that this is a great emotional episode. Sam and Dean deal with their grief, and it’s done well enough to make me grieve for Bobby too.

5) 2.09 Croatoan. Good episode is good. It’s a zombie episode with a real sense of fear and isolation—and then Sam gets infected. Dean’s violent refusal to kill Sam, the subsequent reveal that Sam is somehow immune, and then a demon revealing that this town died just for an experiment on Sam? Creepy and emotional and intriguing!

4) 4.10 Heaven and Hell. Demon and angel battle! Some very fun additions to what we know about the angels and their motivations: Anna’s commitment to fleeing and defying Heaven, coupled with what appears to be Ruby doing the same with Hell, is cool. I also love how Sam ends up successfully playing both sides off each other. Plus, it ends with Dean’s emotional reveal about his time in Hell.

3) 3.08 A Very Supernatural Christmas. Iconic. Three separate things to love: fantastic pre-series content, including amulet backstory and the reveal of little Sam finding out about monsters; a truly wonderful MOTW that involves Christmas tree stabbing and fingernail pulling; and the looming emotional juggernaut of a final celebration before Dean’s deal comes due.

2) 5.10 Abandon All Hope. Crowley’s delightful introduction as a smarmy survivalist, Ellen and Jo’s tearjerking deaths, Cas captive and mouthing off to both Lucifer and Meg, Dean’s unsuccessful shot, and of course Sam and Lucifer’s first meeting in person. Action packed and spooky and thrilling and simply beautifully executed.

1) 11.09 O Brother Where Art Thou? In Hell, is where, and I couldn’t be happier!! Lucifer’s reintroduction coupled with Sam’s distress and brittle scared determination is atmospheric and terrifying. Rowena’s betrayal and Amara’s pitch to Dean are compelling. Most importantly, though, I had to wait a MONTH for 11.10 with Sam’s CRYING FACE in my head: best worst cliffhanger of the series by miles and miles. Bury me in this episode.

Sorting the awae characters into Hogwarts Houses

Because I’m trash and I have opinions

❤️Gryffindor❤️

Anne Shirley Cuthburt- Anne is a Gryffindor! She’s brave and and chivalrous. She fights for whats right! I see a lot of people putting her in Ravenclaw, and yes she is very smart. However Anne is very much someone who acts before she thinks, which is definitely more Gryffindor.

Minnie May Berry- this child went up to a criminal and kicked him! I also feel like she’s going to end up being a rebellious teenager (even more so then Diana because she won’t lie about it) as she has no care for propriety. Big Gryffindor vibes

Moody Spurgeon- I feel like Moody’s a Neville Longbottom type character. It’s doesn’t seem like he would be a Gryffindor, hes a bit of an underdog and expected to be In Hufflepuff, but the sorting hat (in this case me) sees how brave he is.

Philippa Gordon- she may not be in awae, but she’s still one of my favorite characters in the series (kinda mad she won’t be brought to screen). I feel like if you’ve read the books you understand why I put her here.

Mary Lacroix- she is just so strong and powerful! Like she raised a child on her own, I mean really can’t get more brave then that. Also look at how she treated bash when she first met him, she takes no shit!

💙Ravenclaw💙

Winifred Rose- women of her financial status often didn’t work. Winifred was obviously very smart and academically focused (I imagine her family life was a bit like Diana’s and she had to fight for her position at Dr. Wards)

Diana Berry- look at my bby girl! Fighting for her education! She just wants to learn! Also blue is her color.

Ka’kwet- another icon who just wanted to go to school. I mean because people are awful it didn’t work out, but she is such a bright girl.

Murial Stacy- I don’t think I have to explain this one.

John Blythe- we don’t really know that much about him but he was reading Walt Whitman on hes death bed.

💛Hufflepuff💛

Gilbert Blythe- I feel like Gilbert could have been a Slytherin or a Ravenclaw, but I put him in Hufflepuff for 3 reasons. 1. He is definitely honest and loyal. He defends his friends and family constantly. 2. He is very hardworking. I think that he had a Slytherin momment when he considered going the easy way by marrying Winifred for his ambitions, but he ended up going agianst it for his heart (a Hufflepuff move) 3. I’m a Hufflepuff and I’m selfish. He would look so cute in yellow though!

Cole Mackenzie- Hufflepuff artist boy, need I say more

Mathew Cuthbert- I mean i think it’s obvious...

Marilla Cuthbert- she values loyalty and hard work a lot. Also I think the Cuthberts were probably a majority Hufflepuff family.

Ruby Gillis- literal baby. Agian, no explanation needed

Bash Lacroix- he loves his family so much! He’s got such a big heart and works so hard!

Thomas Lynde- we don’t really know much about him, but he seems nice and really just lets Rachel do all the talking. (Also Rachel’s a Slytherin and Hufflepuff x Slytherin is really hecking cute)

💚Slytherin💚

Josephine Barry- I have this theory that the Barry’s are an old Slytherin family. Everyone in the family has been sorted into sytherin untill Diana and Minnie May. Ms. Barry is definitely a queen and I think she’s very ambitious. She really takes no shit.

Mr&Mrs Andrews- I think the Andrews are another old Slytherin family where everyone’s been put in that house for generations.

Billy Andrews- 1. He’s an Andrews 2. He’s cunning, ambitious and a little bitch (also he is very mean, but we don’t support negative Slytherin stereotypes in this household.)

Prissy Andrews- ok I was so close to putting this queen in Ravenclaw. However in the first two seasons she did bend to the will of her family. I think she would be someone who asked to be in Slytherin even though the hat saw her Ravenclaw potential. Also her standing up to her father and asking for her dowery? I could definitely see a Slytherin doing that. (Although once she marries Winnie and they raise 2 kids who are both put into Ravenclaw. She disowns herself from Slytherin and only supports 1 quidditch team)

Eliza Barry- very into whats proper and whats not. Probably came from an old family and met her future husband at school

William Barry- man definitely gives of Slytherin vibes. Also is a Barry.

Rachel Lynde- I don’t think this one needs an explanation

Josie Pye- I mean just look at her motives for doing things and I think you can understand (agian I’m not trying to put the villains in Slytherin because of negative stereotypes. I just do think she’s a Slytherin)

Jane Andrews- she may be a lesbian, but she is also an Andrews and therefore a sytherin

Nathanial- this guy was in Slytherin before he was kicked out of hogwarts.

Mr. Phillips-I don’t know how to explain that he gives off squib vibes

Mr. Dunlop- my theory here is that Nathaniel kinda manipulated him into doing his evil plan. They both kinda bonded over the fact that the wizarding world had disowned them.

Season 2 (Daisy's transformation plot was iconic and the best thing this show ever did, and her parents made amazing villains.)

Season 7 (Every episode was entertaining to watch and made me happy.)

Season 1 (Good ol' nostalgia. You can't beat a classic.)

Season 6 (It's underrated. Arguably one of the funniest seasons beside season 1, and the 13 episodes actually kept the plot tight and contained.)

Season 4 (Ghost Rider remains a Legend but his uncle in 4a was a lame villain and Aida in 4b was the actual worst, I couldn't even appreciate her as a villain because I just hated her.)

Season 3 (I have trouble remembering the villains were in this season. It was kinda unremarkable plot-wise and I couldn't even tell you what 3a was about. Hive was an alright villain but fell flat toward the very end, he didn't live up to his full potential. I pretty much only enjoyed the premonition and Dark Daisy plot.)

Season 5 (Sucked. Completely. Hated viewing it the first time and probably won't ever rewatch it. Ruby and Talbot were some of the best villains of the show but the Kree and the Confederate Council were lame and I hated them. I'm also not into Space. I disliked the entire plot for 5a and I hated half the main cast of heroes for most of 5b - Fitz, Jemma, and Yo-Yo. It also introduced Deke as a character who I think is a terrible addition to the cast. He only serves the function of comedic relief. Let's be real the writers only kept him around for Jeff Ward. Burn this whole season with fire.)

BREAKING: Cesar Romero To Reprise Joker Role

DCTV’s upcoming television crossover, Crisis On Infinite Earths, has a new face added to its roster!

Not only will fans be able to see Supermen from Smallville and Kingdom Come, Huntress from 2002’s Birds of Prey, Kevin Conroy’s Batman and Burt Ward’s Dick Grayson, among others. They’ll be seeing another face from 1966’s Batman, which started Adam West.

The late Cesar Romero, known for being the first actor to play Joker, as well as his sizable number of “latin lover” roles, will be returning to play his iconic, mustachioed clown prince of crime.

In a now deleted tweet from Stephen Amell, the Green Arrow actor confirmed that the cast and crew of Crisis On Infinite Earths took part in a seminar on necromancy over the weekend so that they could bring the New York born actor back from beyond the veil of death.

“Yeah, Grant, Ruby and I took a few lessons on dark blood magic. Last night we sacrificed a goat, two sheep and Brandon Routh. I said a prayer to our dark lord, painted a symbol in the blood of the newly dead, and pulled Cesar out of the afterlife just like that! Wild night. Lots of fun.”

Our star investigative reporter, Yvette Kingston, managed to snag the following from the newly resurrected Joker actor:

“It’s going to be fun getting to play Joker again! Burt is still a little freaked out by my return, but I’ve enjoyed getting a chance to catch up with him. I just wish Adam was here with us. He’d have loved to make an appearance.”

Mr Romero also revealed the first thing he did upon his return from the grave.

“I saw that new Joker movie! It was okay. Could have used a few more jokes, though. My Joker was always very silly.”

The package had arrived to the Rising Stones without fanfare, a note addressed to the Antecedent from the benefactor that seemed to be the Warrior of Light’s own shadow. Passive, where the Warrior was active. Shrouded in dark, where the Warrior basked in the radiance of the Crystal. One reacted to every event as they came with courage and skill - and the other seemed to dance through them as if the world affected her not at all.

They seemed bisected by time and space - two sides of the same coin that pushed towards supporting the Scions with perhaps everything they had.

And so as Houlikhan Borlaaq battled dragons at a desperate defense of Ishgard’s gates, her silent partner C’arliani Khilo had set something else in motion. Minfilia wasn’t certain what that yet was.

Urianger had directed the package to be delivered directly to the Solarium. Easily the size of an adolescent, the crated and cloth-masked bundle had required two of the Crystal Braves to heft it onto her table.

Minfilia took the note that had been affixed to the side of the crate, and bid everyone to leave her be. As the door closed, she sat in her chair and unfolded the parchment.

I told you once I wished for you not to touch my works. With this, I trust you will soon understand why.

In order to prevent Fate’s path from bisecting and leading to a dark future, I have taken steps required to ensure that the dawn’s light survive to brighten the morrow.

Forgive me.

Her brow wrinkled in consternation, the Antecedent beheld the crate in front of her. There was a bright ribbon that peeked from one of the corners, waving gently in what little airflow the Solarium had as if to say “Hello. Please pull me.”

It was F’lhammin’s favorite color. A plainer signal could not have been given.

She pulled the ribbon and felt something in the crate give way. As if by sorcery, the sides of the box fell away as one, slapping to the ground with the barest hint of powdered stone, a familiar aroma that filled Minfilia’s nostrils.

She scarce noticed it when she beheld what graced her sanctum.

Nanamo Ul Namo, Seventeenth in the line of Ul and Sultana of Ul’dah, lay as if dead upon the desk. Her arm splayed out as if she had just fallen, the statue of the Lalafell was taken as if she had just fallen back from her chair. Next to the form and on the surface of the block of marble from which it had been carved was an exquisitely-crafted chalice placed on its side, precious stones of the deepest wine-red set in the stone as if liquid. Minfilia’s trained eye could spot rubies, carnelian, jasper, and garnet in multiple cuts and carats almost casually tossed as if they were so much red dirt.

The lifelike sculpture that lie on Minfilia’s personal desk was worth a Sultana’s ransom. It could buy Ul’dah outright.

And yet, she could not bear to touch the stone.

“The curse of knowledge, my lady,” Urianger said quietly as he stepped through the door. Blessedly, he was alone as the portal closed behind him, and he stood across from the Antecedent with Nanamo’s icon between them.

Minfilia did not answer, engrossed in the fine detail of the marble. Searching for her voice, she was finally able to whisper a response.

“You know what this is? What she’s done?”

“I do, Urianger said. “Mine eyes were opened to a terrible reality, yet I did make the journey of mine own volition.”

The Archon laid a gentle hand on Nanamo’s shoulder, his voice a whisper that yet echoed through the rough hewn stone of Mor Dhona.

“She hath explained to me some of the workings of the Echo,” he said. “With care and practice, a rare soul can impart knowledge into crystal. And so she hath poured her soul into this work, my lady.”

“To give to you a gift, and an apology.”

“Both?” Minfilia asked, staring. “At once?”

“Aye,” Urianger said as he stepped back from the statue. “A gift of foresight, and a curse of causality. She hath told me the events are set in motion and her hand hath guided a response.”

“And what is our role in this response, Urianger?”

“Place your hand upon the visage of yon Sultana, my lady, and lift the veil from thine eyes.”

With hesitant, trembling fingers, Minfilia Warde, Antecedent of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn placed her hand on Nanamo Ul Nano’s brow, and full realized the curse that had been brought to her door.

They’ve been flirting with disaster for so long, she doesn’t remember where it started.

No one believes them when they insist they’ve never hooked up.

“C’mon, not even a kiss? One kiss?” her best friend prods when she visits and sees them together.

She shrugs, pretending not to think about the startling number of times it’s gotten close. She bites her lip as it occurs to her that given the frequency of these occasions, it’s surprising she can remember each one so vividly.

The first time, they’re both pretty lit at a bar somewhere in Santa Monica where the drinks are expensive but he’s buying so she indulges a little. He’s ignoring his social responsibilities, hunched over the counter with her so he can lean into her ear and tell his story. She’s totally overwhelmed by his presence, though, and can’t remember anything he said after “… and then he started trying to leap frog over parking meters, so I knew it was time to take him home.”

He’s… imposing to say the least. He’s broad in the shoulders that she’s brushing up against and the thighs she’s looking down at. If he’s flirting with her, he’s not doing a great job. He’s just talking animatedly with those big walnut eyes and sucking down Stella after Stella, his attention straying to pick at interesting speckles in the bar’s granite top. She’s not sure if he’s noticing the signals she’s dropping, the innocent tugging at his shirt sleeves or the playful nudge of his boot with her sandal. And then she pulls back a little to comment on something he said and she’s sure she should kiss him. But she doesn’t, and he doesn’t, so they don’t.

The seventh time is more of an event. They’re friends now, real friends that text and get coffee when he’s in town, not just friends of friends at bars and bougie West Hollywood house parties with sangria flavors written on chalkboards. He invites her and two of his guy friends to a fundraising event at someone important’s absurd Pacific Palisades beach house. She leaves work early so her friend Marshall can help temporarily tailor her Rent the Runway dress and she almost has an ankle-breaking disaster on the way into the impressively well-secured mansion, but she arrives unharmed and sparkling and he feels his heart in his throat when he looks at her.

He hopes it’s not obvious to her that he’s largely ignoring his other friends in favor of making her laugh and generally doting on her all evening. He’s also supposed to be schmoozing, which he doesn’t tell her because he doesn’t want her to feel like she’s interrupting business by being with him. They have a near miss again in the moments after sunset when she finds him staring out at the water looking pensive and with the jaw and the lips and the curls, she finds herself at his arm before she can figure out how she got there. This time, she’s the one yammering on about nothing while he’s watching her and deciding if kissing her is his best or worst idea ever. When she busts into giggles mid joke, he’s so stunned he can’t remember he was supposed to do anything but watch her enjoy herself, so he misses his moment.

Now they’re here at the same house where they met in Los Feliz and he’s wearing that fucking sage green shirt that she likes with the buttons undone to here and his curls ruffling in the breeze from the Santa Anas. They’re on the back patio surrounded by tiki torches. She didn’t expect this many people to show for Paloma and Nat’s engagement bash given how last minute it was, but she swears she hasn’t been at a party this crowded since college. She’s keeping an eye on him, clearly, and he’s doing the same.

He may be wearing the shirt, but she’s wearing the lipstick. It’s that kind of lipstick where there’s no going back – when you kiss a woman wearing that lipstick, she owns you for the rest of the night. Everyone will know and everyone will be just a little bit jealous. That lipstick has warded him off enough times, but makes her lips look so tempting that he’s a moth to a flame, continually burning just to feel her warmth.

He finds her again in the crowd between a pair of strangers clearly five minutes away from looking for the nearest closet and a very bored looking married gay couple. She’s listening in on conversations again, he can tell by the way she tilts her head and twitches those ridiculous lips at random moments. When she starts to turn her gaze toward him, he snaps his head back to his surroundings and listens to someone complain about Beyonce and Jay-Z’s latest album.

The party doesn’t empty out like she expects it to around midnight. It must be a full moon or something – most of the company here are in their 30s. She and Shawn are perhaps the only attendees under 25. What are these fuckers doing here so late? Go home to your kids, you irresponsible fucks.

She sucks back the last sip of bourbon in her glass and pouts at the rocks left melting in her hot little hands. She’d rather make something else melt. She wants the group to thin out a little so she can get him alone. Resigned to wait it out, she hunts down the roving bartender for another glass of the same.

Somehow, incredibly, another wave of partiers shows up around 1. Now she’s really annoyed. She’s fiddling with the tube of lipstick she’s kept close to all night. It’s a great color, a color so cherry red she’s sure the term was invented to name this very shade, but not at all longwearing. Plus, she feels a little old Hollywood glam by periodically sliding her compact mirror out of her pocket and slamming it shut while she purses her lips.

She’s on her third reapplication and …somewhere beyond her fourth bourbon when she catches sight of him again. He’s leaning against the stone wall of the outside of the house. She can barely see him through the throngs of people. He’s talking to someone on his left but someone on his right keeps bumping into him and there’s a couple sitting below him talking. He looks like a live action Prince Eric and she decides to analyze later why that turns her on so much. Her eyes rake him from curls to boots and she springs off her perch, smoothly uncrossing her legs to stalk him like a panther.

He doesn’t notice her arrive until she’s there with what could be perceived as a friendly hand on his solar plexus to get his attention. He drapes one cool, clammy hand over hers and smiles at her greeting.

“Hey you,” he says quietly, sure she can’t hear his voice over the DJ, the laughter and the drunk people pitching feature ideas to each other.

She doesn’t look up. Instead, she slides her hand up from under his so it’s resting over the last button that’s fastened at the center of his chest. She has to focus on not biting her lip and getting red pigment on her teeth. She’s pretty sure she dissociates a little when she turns her hand vertically and her fingers start to toy with the soft haze of chest hair he seems pretty proud to display. She feels his fingers creep up her forearm to her wrist when her hand dips inward under the shirt.

He’s quite sure he’s on fire. He doesn’t know what the hell has gotten into her but he wants to know so he can replicate this because, yes, he’s already thinking about making this happen again when it inevitably ends. With part embarrassed horror and part elated disbelief he watches as she steps forward and presses her wet open mouth on the inside of his left pec. He gasps and grabs at the ends of her hair when he feels her tongue, looking around to see how many eyes, or phones, are on him. And it is definitely a weird night because no one has even looked over at them as she’s mauling his chest amidst actual adults talking about parent teacher conferences. He looks back down at her as she retracts her reluctant lips from his skin, eyeing him warily.

His breath shakes as he lifts his free hand, because he just realizes the other is on her ass, to pull at his shirt and take stock of the damage. He wants to moan when he sees the red splotch she left him. He actually does moan a little when his eyes meet hers and she’s licking her lips and the pigment has bled out to smudge a little at the corners and below her lower lip.

“Oh my god,” he croaks.

She looks like she’s about to panic at his reaction so he grabs her by the wrist and yanks. Imposing definitely comes in handy now as he drags her, a little less gently than he would if he were sober, to the patio doors and into the low-lit house. He slams the door behind them and strides forward, lifting both his hands into his hair and facing away from her as his body heaves.

She’s working on gathering words of shameful apology when he’s turning around again and headed for her like a hurricane, knocking her against the wall behind her hips first because that’s where his hands land. She grabs at his shoulders as he thrusts his mouth into hers and it’s all tongue and teeth and relief and she could just die happy right there. But he’s got other ideas, so he begins leading her off the wall, aiming for where he’s pretty sure the laundry room was the last time he was invited to dinner and spilled pasta sauce on his white Saint Laurent tee like a dope.

She’s not sure how he finds it but they’re there and she’s formulating ideas about turning on the dryer for some added stimulation until he pulls away a little to lift her blouse over her head and gets another look at her all mussed up and fucked for him.

That’s when she gets another idea of where she’d like to see that classic MAC lipstick shade.
