• On nights where Harry had nightmares he would often climb into bed with Ron and cuddle with him until he was able to calm down or go back to sleep.

• Harry had to walk really quietly since Hogwarts’s floorboards were creaky and he didn’t want to wake up any of the other Gryffindors.

• One time Neville got up in the middle of the night because he forgot to water the plant by his bed and saw Ron sneaking into Harry’s bed. Neville pretended like he didn’t see anything and just went back to bed (after watering his plant of course). But every now and again he would shoot Ron and Harry a small smile because he was happy for them.

• It took Harry and Ron years to figure out they liked each other, let alone ask the other out.

years later, they cross paths again and mcgonagall can’t help but smile “well if it isn’t mr potter”, sirius snickers before throwing an arm over remus’ shoulders “mr lupin now, actually” she is not surprised “and this time i have the papers to prove it, professor!”

yes. yes i think of this so much. immediately after the battle they sneak off and go to sleep, all in one bed together and sprawled out all over each other. at the burrow they all sleep in ron’s room. molly doesn’t say anything or try to stop hermione from being with the boys. she somehow knows they need it (after all they were all alone together for however many months). i think when ron and mostly hermione have nightmares harry is filled with horrible guilt. he has to leave. he makes sure they’re okay and he goes downstairs and makes tea and comes back up a few hours later. he cannot stand to see others suffer for his cause, for something he feels like he did. especially his two best friends. in general i just think they’re all a bit traumabonded i don’t care if it’s “unhealthy” but it’s so true it’s just undeniable. when ron and hermione are like “hey we’re going to australia um” harry’s like… who do u think u are. anyway. side note but i think hermione’s nightmares are actually sleep paralysis because if something is wrong with a character i like i WILL make it worse!

I wrote this randomly at like 1 am so yuh but I like the idea ♡.

They’re definitely a switch couple but they didn’t start that way. I like to imagine Harry wanted to be top but Ron either wore him down or just insecurity guilt tripped Harry until he gave in. But then on like some special event like Harrys bday or an anniversary for them, Harry got Ron to agree to being the bottom and he ended up really liking it. So Now Harry tops more often but they occasionally still swap roles.
