Ok, first of all, having these two as your girlfriends is a dream come true
You had met them at your job ‘The Skating Rink’ and were the one handing them their roller skates
Apparently, they were already dating before you long arrived and were thinking about a poly relationship
Out of all three of you, you would be the funniest
Whereas your girls would be the smart ones
Robin is the most affectionate
Nancy isn't too big on PDA in public but will hold you or Robin’s hand
Or when it’s just you three, you or Robin would come up from behind and sneak a couple of neck kisses on Nancy
Poor baby would be so flustered; like she would be beet red in the face
Since you’re the most popular girl alongside your best friend Chrissy, boys would hit on you
The Wheeler girl can conceal her jealousy but Robin?— not so much.
Nancy would often stay behind and watch her girlfriends’ practice; you with cheerleading and Robin with band
You made a polaroid of the three of you as platonic friends
Forest dates are a must; only when it’s day time of course
Between the three of you, Nancy would be the smallest spoon and she’s not afraid to admit it
So this is how you would look like
Robin loves using you and Nancy's chest as a pillow, stating that your breasts are the right size to snuggle on
“Mmm…your breasts are just so soft though.”
The Buckley girl would normally ramble you and Nancy to sleep so after a while she soon notices
“Nance? [Name]? Are you guys still up?”
Nancy would constantly smother you in forehead kisses
Robin loves nose kisses especially when you’re sick
For some reason, the Buckley teen likes to roam around your room and touch your little trinkets and rummage through your closet
Study Dates are the cutest
You and Robin would be distracted by everything in sight whereas Nancy would be mildly annoyed
The Wheeler girl bribes you and Robin to study to get rewarded with kisses
Obviously, you two didn’t turn that offer down
Basically, Robin misinterpreted Nancy’s bribe
“Ok, what is—“ *kiss* “Robin, what are you doi—“ *kiss* “[Name] don’t join—“ *kiss*
When you and Robin met Barb, she was a bit squeamish with you but was used to Robin
Considering that Robin and Barb are at the bottom of the social chain in school, they’re good acquaintances
Soon after, Barb sees how much you mean to her best friends and manages to get along with you
Chrissy basically welcomed them with open arms and a toothy grin
“I’m so glad that [name] met you. She would talk about how much she loves you two and how every little gesture means something to her, non-stop! Honestly, I just tune her out after a while.”
Then they both would blush as you shout; “Chrissy?!!”
“But am I wrong?”
After your interaction with Chrissy, they would tease you endlessly
“So you talk about how you love us daily?!”
“Shut up. It was so embarrassing!”
“We don’t think that it’s embarrassing, we think that it’s cute. Don’t we, rob?”
“Of course we do. Truth be told, we do the exact same thing whenever you were still practicing.”
“So that’s why you guys would always point and stare at me during cheerleading?”
“That’s not the only reason. You look so fuckable in that mini-skirt.”
“Mmm…it seems like I can make that dream a reality.”
Let’s just say that you had a very productive night afterwards
Now it was time to meet the families
Karen was ecstatic with her daughter lovers’ whereas Ted was like ‘okkkk? do you want a reward?’
Mike remained neutral to the news but nonetheless happy for the three of you
Holly was absolutely confused but remained joyous
“So does this mean that I have two more sisters?”
Your mom had to wrap her head around the whole entity of her eldest daughter being queer and polyamorous but was giddy regardless
At first, your dad was perplexed by the whole ordeal until he became more understanding of it
Lucas was optimistic about your relationship whereas Erica was a bit biggity
“The same rules still apply to you two, don't you dare go around breaking my sister’s heart or you will be sorry.”
Even though it sounded like an empty threat, it was a sincere promise
Robin’s parents confirmed that they already knew since last month and were okay with it
Since you were about to soon graduate, Nancy would worry that you all wouldn’t make it to the same college and would have to do long distance
You and Robin comfort her with kisses and cuddles
Anyways, you love your girlfriends and wouldn’t change it for the world
NSFW
Robin would be a top, Nancy a switch, and you a bottom
Nancy is a Mean!Switch which makes Robin a Soft!Dom, and you are the Brat!Sub
Nancy loves your tits whereas Robin loves your cunt
The Wheeler would comment, saying that she loves your brown nipples every time she sucks on them
So you can bet that she always leaves breasts hickeys
The brunette Wheeler would most likely graze her hand against your thigh underneath the table
They both know that you adore praise kink and will use it as an opportunity every time
“You’re such a good girl.” Nancy would often coo at you
Nancy would often use the vibrator whereas robin uses her mouth and fingers
The Wheeler girl’s favorite position with either you or Robin is scissoring, she just wants to be on the top
The Buckley girl’s own is the ‘69 position’
They just love pleasuring you more than themselves seeing as that you’re the most vulnerable
Surprisingly, Nancy is most the riskful out of the trio
Takes turns fucking you in your cheer outfit
You are their beautiful pillow princess
Their little slut – mommies good girl
Jealousy sex is ✨aMazInG ✨
You would be the type to own lingerie and a couple of thongs (which you hide from your siblings)
One time you went to the mall with them to buy some new clothes
Teasingly, you would flash either one of them your baby blue thong while in the dressing room
Now Nancy isn’t the one to be a perv
I mean, the brunette girl would sneak a little glance but then quickly avert her eyes before you could notice
But Robin has NO shame
She will look at the flimsy material without hesitation and when you flutter your eyelashes at her with a knowing smirk, Robin would let out a little whine and practically pounce on you
Too bad that Nancy walked in and yanked Robin off of your neck
“Just wait till we get home, sweetie. We’re going to completely ravish you.” Nancy spoke, her lustful eyes pierced through yours

This shouldn’t hurt as much as it does.
Things could’ve ended far worse than they actually did. Hell, most of the couples in their school tended to make breakups as dramatic as possible, normally painting one half of the relationship as some kind if irredeemable monster, if not to paint them as this sympathetic martyr, than just to save face that it actually hurt.
In her case, Eddie Munson told her they just weren’t a good match and he wanted to be friends again instead. That was as healthy as they could possibly get. And in the best case scenario, too, she’d still be able to have him be a part of her life. She didn’t think she could stand the thought of seeing him in the halls and not being able to acknowledge him.
She’d fallen hard and fast for Eddie, embarrassingly so.
Given the heavy duty of designated driver for the little hooligans she’d somehow decided to adopt with Steve Harrington, she’d gotten accustomed to waiting in the high school parking lot, her nose pressed into the creases of her current novel while she waited for them to finish their important campaigns, all procured from the brilliant mind of Eddie Munson.
She’d known him before then, too, but only in passing. He’d often make a big spectacle of himself in the cafeteria just to bug the other students, and he held the record as super senior. But she’d never even talked to him until she saw him walk the boys out after a seemingly successful campaign, his arms wrapped tightly around Dustin and Lucas’ shoulders as he praised them.
He’d acknowledged her when he got to her car.
“My fair maiden,” he’d said, “I apologize for the delay.”
She’d blubbered out some kind of half-hearted response, good enough to make him laugh, and that made her heart go a million miles a minute.
It didn’t take long before she’d gotten the courage to ask him out, even if it was just for coffee. He was surprised, but he agreed.
It had been nice, he even drove her home after. She probably should’ve seen the signs then because he didn’t suggest a second meet up, she had instead. And he’d agreed.
It was about a month before they made themselves official, in Hawkins High language, practically married. But it really just meant she got to hold his hand between classes and get quick kisses goodbye when it was time to separate, somehow always on her cheek than her lips.
She’d thought their dates were fun; it was a lot of pressure since he always left it up to her, never having any other idea than lounging about her home and just watching TV. But she was the one who thought of renting movies for horror marathons, figuring it was up his alley. She thought of bowling and drive-in theaters and picnicking near the quarry for its desolate atmosphere, another thing she figured was right up his alley.
But things came to an underwhelming end when Eddie approached her at her locker on some random Thursday to tell her things just weren’t working out and he wanted to stay as friends. Despite how much even that had hurt, she agreed. She didn’t want to make him do anything he regretted.
She could still be friends with him, happily so. That meant she could still sit with him at lunch, hear his outlandish tales, and be able to admire him from afar, even if she was no longer able to touch him and hold his hand.
“Be honest,” she’d heard Gareth say as she approached with her tray, “what really happened? You know, most guys woulda killed to be able to take her out, the fact she stuck around for months is surprising enough.”
Eddie shrugs, chewing absentmindedly on a pretzel he’d brought. She would pack him lunches when they were together since he always forgot and resorted to eating prepackaged things instead. Since they broke up, it seemed like old habits really did die hard.
“To tell you the truth,” he starts rather dramatically, “no substance. Pretty face, nice voice, real sweet, but God, boring as all hell.” He runs a hand down his face. The other boys seemed surprised. Dustin and Mike share a look, but say nothing, clearly waiting to hear more. Because there was no way it could be just that. There had to be more. They knew her better than anyone, had been through so much with her. What could be the real reason Eddie broke things off?
“And?” Dustin coaxes.
“And what?”
“Dude, seriously?” Mike scoffs. “She wasn’t interesting enough for you?”
Eddie shakes his head. “Look, she’s a great gal. And I know you guys are super close, which is awesome, but we just weren’t the best match. And I felt like shit that she was putting in all of the effort when I wasn’t interested. Now she’s free to...I dunno...find someone boring, too.” He sniggers, elbowing Jeff beside him trying to get him to laugh, too, but he could see how upset Dustin and Mike were.
Luckily, for her sake, they didn’t notice her standing there, having overheard everything. Spinning right back around, she’d ditched her tray onto one of the trash bins before leaving the cafeteria completely before there was a chance anyone could see her tears.
God, it shouldn’t hurt as much as it does, she thinks again. He was more than welcome to have his own opinion, but why did it have to be something like that?
He was right, she wasn’t exactly Chrissy Cunningham or Heather Holloway, being this huge spectacle that made every new day more exciting than the last. All things considered, sometimes too much excitement frightened her. Having risked her life at least once a year for nearly four years now made her yearn for the more simple things. It was stupid of her to think Eddie would want the same. Eddie Munson, who liked to make scenes in the cafeteria and rock out in a bar with his band. He didn’t crave the simplicity of life like she did.
She didn’t go back into that cafeteria for the remaining of the lunch period. In fact, she’d decided to skip the rest of the day completely, knowing she shared three periods with Eddie and right now she really didn’t want to see him. She just wanted to get away, leave herself to her own thoughts to try to calm down.
Well, that really only lasted for ten minutes because she found herself pulling into the small parking lot into Family Video. She spots Steve’s car at the far end and knows he’s inside. It was childish of her to go running and crying to Steve Harrington, who she knew would take her side and say all the cruel things about Eddie that she couldn’t bring herself to because she really just needed someone on her side right now. Aside from Dustin and Mike, of course. She wouldn’t forget how they jumped to her defense.
The little bell rings at the top of the door as she walks in, startling Steve into consciousness, who seemed to be snoozing on the edge of the counter, drool pooled across his forearm. He wipes feverishly at his face and blinks unfocused in her direction, trying to situate himself quickly into his customer service face.
“Welcome to Fam-Jesus, you scared me,” he cuts himself off when he at last realizes it’s her. Confused, he turns to glance at the clock hung up on the wall. “Don’t tell me school’s out already? You beat Robin here.”
“No, I’m playing hooky,” she shakes her head, unsteadily moving towards the counter.
“What? You? I’m sorry, am I still dreaming?” Steve asks dramatically. “Since when do you, of all people, ever skip class? I’d sooner believe Nancy doing it than you.”
“Just...needed a break s’all,” she says with a shrug, looking around. “Keith not here?”
“Nah, he’s off today. Something about a new graphic novel he’s been dying to get. Says he’d have to wait overnight just to get one of the first editions. I don’t know, I don’t really listen to him unless he’s handing over my check,” Steve said. She leans up against the counter, trying to act casual. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah, why wouldn’t things be okay?”
“Well, for one, having to clarify that things are supposed to be okay when asked if everything’s okay is a pretty big indicator that things aren’t, in fact, okay.” Steve says with a laugh. “So everything’s not okay, then?”
“Everything’s okay,” she lies. “I just...can I ask you something?”
“Yeah?”
She isn’t sure how to come out and say it without sounding stupid. Better, she can’t figure out a way to come out and say it without sounding completely pathetic. But this was Steve, he was the king of asking her embarrassing things. He even called her once at three in the morning to ask how long you were supposed to leave cookies in the oven for. The follow up question was how to get the burnt smell out before his mom came home.
“Am I boring?”
Steve tilts his head. “Huh?”
“Am I boring, Steve? Am I boring?”
“No? Who gave you that idea?” Steve snorts, like he thinks it was a foolish thing to ask. “Whoever it is clearly hasn’t seen you handle a crowbar.” He was referencing when she’d nabbed a crowbar from the junkyard lot to fend off the demodogs with him, all to protect the little ones in the bus. She doesn’t want to remember that right now, not when it makes her feel cold inside.
“Nobody, I just...I dunno, I just think that maybe I’m not as exciting as, like...you o-or Rob or Nancy or, hell, even Jonathan.”
“Nonsense, you’re a badass! True story, you know I wouldn’t say that about just any...” Steve trails off, finally really looking at her. “Hey...hey, why are you really askin’ me that? Something happen? Someone say something to you?”
“No, Steve, I was just asking.”
“You’re lying,” he accuses. “Who was it, was it Byers? Nancy? Not Robin...”
“No! No, Steve, they didn’t say anything, please just drop it. I shouldn’t have asked.”
Steve’s face eventually relaxes, having realized he knew exactly who she was talking about.
“Munson.”
She shakes her head. “Stop it, Steve.”
“What did he say? I thought he just wanted to be friends, where’s all this coming from?” he asked. There were too many questions being thrown at her. She doesn’t want to cry, especially not in front of him, but as soon as she feels her cheek dampen that was it. Soon she was burying her face in her hands and trying to stop the little whimpers from coming out.
She doesn’t notice Steve leap easily over the counter. He pulls her close, shushing her quietly.
“Hey, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to make you upset,” he says. She sniffles, wrapping her arms around him. He’s petting her hair, kissing the crown of her head, trying his damndest to get her to calm down and talk to him. He was the perfect person to come to, she now realizes. Her subconscious knew Steve was the answer.
When she finally stopped crying, he at last let her go, giving her some space.
She rubs the tears from her eyes and wipes the tears on her jeans.
“Want me to kill him?” he asks jokingly. She laughs. He smiles again. “What happened? Can you tell me now?”
She told him what Eddie had said, the real reason he’d broken up with her and how she ran from the cafeteria and came here. Steve was reasonably upset, but he didn’t want to make it all about pounding Eddie into a pulp, he knew she needed her friend right now and he was prepared to be just that.
“Hey, screw him,” Steve scoffs, throwing an arm over her shoulders and pulling her back into his chest. “You’re far from boring, believe me, and honestly if you ask me you could do so much better than Eddie Munson. The guy picks his nose. I saw him once. It was gnarly.”
She’s laughing again, playfully hitting him.
“Thank you, Steve,” she says, “I’m sorry to dump all this on you, I just needed someone to talk to, you know?”
“Well, you came to the right guy. I can’t tell you it gets much better from public humiliation, but I can tell you that you find much better shit to focus on. Like this obviously stellar job. Robin. My new stereo I saved up for. And...well, you.” He playfully flicks her nose. She wrinkles her nose and swats his hand away. “Eddie doesn’t know what he’s talkin’ about. But I know he’s gonna kick himself in the ass when he realizes he lost a girl like you.”
“Yeah, you’re just saying that ‘cause you’re my friend.”
“Not true, I also wanna bug you for your famous cookies.” Steve winks.
“I can bring them to you tonight, then.” she said, patting his arm. “I should get going. Um...you clearly are very busy and I don’t wanna keep you from doing your job.”
“I know, such a bad influence. The gateway rebellion was skipping class. Now it’s job defiance,” Steve chuckles, rubbing the back of his neck. “Hey, um...if you want, when you come by tonight, maybe you could stick around? Was gonna rifle through the back, borrow some flicks to waste my evening away. Free to join me if you want? Robin flaked out on me, says she’s doing some band practice with Vicky. Didn’t ask for details.”
She thinks about it and smiles. “Sounds like fun. Girls’ night.”
“Invitation rescinded!” Steve shouts, turning away.
“No, I’m kidding, I’m kidding, stop!” she protests, giggling. “I’ll bring cookies and pizza, Steve. I’ll be there.”
“Alright, then,” Steve said. “Um...hey, don’t worry about Eddie, alright? He’s just being a dick. And honestly, apart from his relationship with the rugrats, he’s still gonna be a dick. He missed out on a girl like you. Clearly he’s a martian.”
“Doesn’t mean much when I’m from Hawkins. But thank you, Steve. I’ll see you tonight,” she says, squeezing his hand and finally leaving the store back to her car. She left feeling much lighter than she had going in. He was right. Forget Eddie. If he thought she was so boring he clearly didn’t need her around him. She had other friends, friends like Steve.
Smiling to herself, she climbs into the driver’s seat and turns the key into the ignition, hearing the engine roar to life.
Things would be just fine.

Lipstick Stains
Tumblr media
Billy Hargrove x Harrington FemReader
Summary: There has been some new gossip floating through Hawkins High. The gossip being that Billy has a lipstick stain that just so happens to match a certain girl's iconic shade.
....................................................................
You were a Harrington. You had a certain standing that you had to keep cause of the expectations of your parents. One of those expectations were not making out with Billy Hargrove in his car in the back of the school parking lot during lunch. But your parents were never home so you didn't really give a damn.
"Billy we have to go back into the school at some point." You said releasing your lips from his. As you tried to pull back he pulled you in for another quick kiss.
"Oh come on, we don't have to." He smirked to you.
"Listen Mr. Bad Boy, I know you don't like school but I have a test." You said to him. He gave you a small pout at your response to which you just laughed at him. "You also messed up my lipstick." You said as you flipped the visor down to use the mirror to reapply your dark red lipstick.
"That's not the only thing I can mess up." He joked. You just gave him the look, he knew the look. It didn't need a name.
"Well Hargrove I have to get going." You brought yourself close to kiss his neck then up to the apple of his freckled cheeks. You collected you things to go back into the school before the bell. Before you shut the door you look back at Billy to see the two kiss marks that you left on him. You just smiled at him.
"Love ya, see you later." You said then shut the door to go to the school.
Billy continued with his day like usual. Thinking that nothing would go out of the ordinary. He knew he was hot shit so people were staring at him as perusal but he didn't know what they were staring at. In each class he had stares his way, to which he had to tell some off for looking too long.
"Nice job man." Tommy Hagan laughed as he patted his back. Billy was just confused about what he was talking about but he continued as nothing was wrong. The bell rang through the halls to signal that the school day was over. Billy made his way to the doors top the parking lot to leave when he saw a certain Steve Harrington staring him down from his locker.
"You got a problem Harrington?" He asked.
"Yeah, not with you though." Steve replied slamming his locker shut to go find a certain sister of his. Billy didn't know that, he was just confused and thought nothing of it. He finally was able to make it to his Camaro to wait for Max. Students around him were still looking at him. Some girls looking in distaste, not at him but at the kiss marks on his cheeks. Some guys were just laugh in congrats to him. Billy just wanted to get the hell out and get Max home so he can go see his girlfriend. Billy looked over to see a certain red head making her way over to his car.
"Get in shit-bird, I got places to be." He said as he got in the drivers seat while Max got in the passenger seat. She just stared at him, more than she would usually. Which is not at all. Billy glanced at her a few times.
"What?" He asked annoyed with her staring.
"What's on your face?" She asked. Billy was confused until he thought back to lunch. He grabbed his sun visor to look himself in the mirror to see the two kiss marks on him. Just as he thought, one on his cheek and the other on his neck. He just laughed what he was looking at.
"Well that explains a Lot." He sighed starting his car to drive away.
Later that day Billy was able to make it to the Harrington house hold. Instead of parking down the street, he parked in the driveway. Instead of climbing through the window of his girlfriends bedroom, he simply knocked the front door of her house. Which, unfortunately, the other Harrington answered. He and Steve just stared at one another for a moment.
"Hargrove."
"Harrington."
"What are you doing here?"
"I think you know why exactly I'm here, or you don't."
"I do know why you're here." Steve stated sternly.
"Then tell me, why am I here?" Billy gabbed at him with a smirk playing on his face.
"Can you guys stop having a dick measuring contest for once." Your voice was heard in a very much over it tone. "Get out of here Steve."
"But-" You stopped him from continuing.
"Eh, I don't wanna hear any more then I already have. You're being a Buttface." You sassed at him. "Now I would like to talk to my boyfriend."
Steve just rolled his eyes and sighed. Walking away from his enemy and his sister in the same door way. You turn your head back to Billy with a grin on your face.
"So what are you doing here, handsome."
"Well, I am here to see my girlfriend that I have to have a small chat about." His voice going a slight octave lower. Something that you loved.
"And what do you have to chat about?" You stilled teased at him.
"Well I made out with this gorgeous woman at lunch, and after I thought my day would go by like usual. But I had people staring at me all day. I didn't know why until I looked into the mirror to find that the exact pretty girl I was kissing left some marks on me." He explained to you. "Now I am at said pretty girls house to get a reason why she did that."
"Well I think she just wanted to have a bit of fun with you, if you ask me."
"Well as much as I love that, I think I would love to have some fun with her right now."
"Well you'er gonna have to wait on that, handsome." You said." Big Bro ain't to happy with me, I've been getting an ear full for the past hour."
"I can wait." He reassured. "I will always wait for you, gorgeous." You just smiled at him and dragged him into your house.
"Is he staying long?" Steve's distant voice was heard.
"Shut up Steve." You yelled out to him. "Like I said, ear full all day."
You and Billy just laughed at the situation. But at least you both can enjoy each others company in the end.
...................................................................
I hope y'all enjoyed this. Sorry if it is short. I know I haven't been to active, writing wise, lately. I'm trying to get through school right now.
I will try to get more out for Boots and Trumpets, and Practically Magic later.
Thank you for reading.

I Want Your Video; Steve Harrington x Reader 📼
summary: steve always takes care of you on a night out.
word count: 1.4K
warnings: drinking, smoking, swearing, fem!reader, fluff
a/n: inspired by a djo song with the same title. i’m such a sucker for steve <3
“I ‘ave to go t’the bathrooom,” you tell Steve, holding tight to the hot skin of his bicep. In a drunken stupor, your thumb swipes sweetly over it once, unable to resist.
His other arm, the one you’re not holding to, has your clutch tucked under it. It’s unclear if he’s being gentlemanly or if he’s monitoring your intake. He certainly didn’t take Nancy’s or Robin’s. Or Argyle’s belly bag.
“‘Kay, be safe,” Steve says, patting your elbow. He looks a touch hot, red-cheeked and a little damp around the edges. Dancing must’ve made a mess of you if he looks so disheveled from just standing and talking. You furrow your brows.
“Come with me?” Pouting, your grip slides down to take his hand, but he pulls away.
“Uh—maybe Nance or Rob should do that.”
He says it like such a request is verboten. You look back towards Nance and Robin, relentlessly moving on the dance floor.
“They won’t go with meeee—“ you whine, and then simper when he sighs in defeat.
Steve steers you toward the stairwell that leads down to the toilets. While you weave through the crowds, he stays behind you, a steadying force at your back.
The stairwell is much cooler than the bar. It’s a relief to suck in air that’s not muggy with sweat and beer. At the bottom of the dingey stairs a couple is draped over one another talking closely, and nearer to the bathroom there’s a trio of people sharing a smoke and waiting. Steve and you take up residence just next to them. The concrete wall is cooling on your hot back and it elicits a sigh.
“Having fun?” Steve asks, facing you with his arms crossed and a shoulder leant on the wall. Your clutch is shoved in his front pocket like a miniature Bible.
“Uh-huh.” You nod with exaggerated windedness. “Wish you’d dance with me, though.”
The bathroom door clicks open and a guy comes out, nodding awkwardly at all seven heads turned his way. The queue dwindles to three again—plus Steve, who is smiling at you apologetically.
“Nah, you wouldn’t wanna see me dance. I tend to intimidate people with how skilled I am.”
A laugh bubbles out of you. “Ohhh, right,” you nod. “Must be hard, having all that talent. And you’re s’busy keepin’ me sober.” You speak so fast the words slur on the way out, and Steve chuckles teasingly.
“I’m doin’ a shit job, aren’t I? You’re in a state already.” He reaches out and brushes your arm when he says this, his knuckles leaving goosebumps behind them. When he pulls his hand back he’s grown more sincere. “Who said I’m keeping you sober? I’ve let you drink all you want.”
“You let me,” you tease, “But you’re keeping my wallet. And you’ve been watching me all night.”
“Yeah, well.” He looks defensive. “Someone’s gotta have your back.”
The bathroom door opens again, and the line shrinks even more. You pick the conversation right back up.
“What ‘bout Nance and Rob? And the guys?” Turning toward Steve, your arms cross so you’re mirroring him. “They’ve all got their wallets.”
“They’ve got each other, too.” Steve playfully swings at your shoulder, and you take the hit willingly. “Who’s got you, huh, rockstar?”
A smile splits your face with glee at the nickname. You step closer and you’re about to answer—you, you’ve got me—when Steve clears his throat.
You frown, and Steve smiles, juts his chin toward the bathroom door. It’s empty, you realize, and Steve and you are alone. It seems the third member of the bathroom trio was only company, like Steve.
“You know what to do,” Steve mutters, and you reluctantly peel away from the wall.
“Oh, wait!” You whip around and offer a hand out for your wallet. Steve gives it over wordlessly, and then you’re locking the door behind you.
As suspected, you look a mess. Your hair is frizzed and a touch tangled. Dark mauve eyeliner has smoked itself out—all over your undereye—and your cheeks are red and dampened with sweat.
Despite it all, you feel good. You brought your clutch so you could touch up your lipstick, and you do, but you don’t need to. It’s almost like what Steve said; You’re a rockstar. You look like one, anyway.
After washing your hands, the only thing you do to your appearance is fluff your hair up even more, playing up this smudged version of your original look.
It feels impossibly easy to grin at Steve once you emerge from the bathroom. Steve laughs.
“Why do I feel like you got more drunk while you were in there?”
You tighten your smile primly. “Not drunker, just better looking.”
Steve pulls his brows together almost painfully, his features unreadable. You saunter over to him anyways, stepping into his bubble. His full back is pressed to the wall now, a leg kicked up, and you’re as close as you can get without being thigh-to-knee. Steve’s nervous eyes scan you.
“Want me to take that?” Steve points to your clutch. You nod, but ignore the hand he has waiting for you. Feeling bold, you reach around him and tuck it into his back pocket. Your chests meet, and then crush closer as you both gasp. Pulling away feels suddenly impossible, so you don't, and Steve doesn’t make you. He licks his lips.
“Y’didn’t lock the door,” he mumbles, but your brain jumbles as his hand smooths over your ribs.
“Hmm?” You can’t be bothered with words, feeling more intoxicated by his touch than the three drinks in your system.
Steve rubs a small circle over your side. “The bathroom door,” he says softly, “it stayed on vacant the whole time.”
Oh, yeah. It had. Your mouth pops open, and then you shoot him a wry grin.
“Whoops.”
Steve’s responding head shake is exasperated but fond.
“You trust me too much,” he sighs.
It’s not a joke. A string of insecurity holds the sentence together, and you know what it is. It’s easy to see that he knows, too. Moving closer, committing to the embrace you’ve found yourself in, you pin Steve with a sincere stare.
“Do I?” It’s excessively rhetorical, stilling any rebuttal he has. Steve purses his lips together, and then glances at yours. You toe up ever so slightly, in anticipation. Both of Steve’s hands are on you now, though they’re holding your arms, keeping you at bay.
“We can’t,” Steve whispers, glancing at the stairwell, and you realize the bar is still upstairs with all of your friends. They’d probably come looking soon, vying for another round, another dance. You look to the stairwell too, and then to the other side of the hall, and back to Steve.
“Yet here we are.” The murmur is sultry, luring Steve closer, tempting his hand to wind into the soft hair at the nape of your neck.
“Here we are,” Steve repeats, and then your lips are abruptly too occupied by his to respond.
Steve’s hand that’s not gripping your neck winds over your shoulders, keeping you close. His nose crushes to your cheek as he drags his mouth over yours again and again.
A part of you—the same part that’s observing how good of a kisser he is—can’t believe you’re mouth to mouth with the Steve Harrington from high school. The other half, probably the truer half, knows it’s been a long time coming. Years of patching up and skirting around each other, protecting each other because you had to, and now taking care of each other because you wanted to. Because no one else would.
When you separate, you’re both breathless and effervescent. Steve is staring at you like you hung the moon.
“You’re so beautiful,” he coos, his thumb caressing the rosy apple of your cheek. Steve has a way of marrying sincerity and charm, and it needles at your heart ruthlessly.
You beam and kiss him again as a thank you.
“Think you might be glowing,” he continues, speaking right into your mouth. His teeth clack against yours as the kiss grows too smiley for its own good.
“You look pretty, too,” you goad, tracing his lips. “Cherry’s a good look on you.”
Steve pinches his brow and then notices your smeared lipstick.
“Aw, come on.”
You laugh and help him wipe it off, but when you return to the bar later, Argyle still complements Steve’s beautiful makeup.

(a/n; sorry if this is shit, i wrote it at 1:35 am.)
robin rubs her eyes lazily, slowly waking up from her slumber. she yawns quietly, turning over to face your sleeping form. the girl leans forward, pressing a soft, gentle kiss to your forehead, smiling softly as she notices you stirring awake. “morning, princess….” she murmurs, looking down at you lovingly. you open your (y/e/c) eyes slowly, grinning up at her. “good morning, beautiful.” you whisper, sitting up a bit and kissing her lips sweetly. she smiles against your lips, pulling you into her arms. you both cosy up against each other, wrapping the covers over the both of you. as the two of you snuggle up together in the warmth, the light rain outside mists up the bedroom window. robin bites her bottom lip, smiling, and reaches over to draw a heart on the window with her finger, intertwining her soft hand with yours after.

Not gonna lie I did forget this in my drafts last night. Anyways here it is!
Tumblr media
If one more person asked Steve if he was going to college, he would strangle them.
Yes he’d made peace with not getting into any schools. And yes he felt somewhat content with the life he built for himself. But that didn’t stop the ache in his heart of what might have been.
Dwelling on the past, however, wouldn’t do him any good. So instead, he focused on the present. He clutched his glass tight against his chest and nodded along to the man in front of him. The room was packed, as it was every time his parents hosted a holiday party. People gathered from all over Loch Nora, including some from the city, who he assumed were his fathers work friends.
Why he had to go to these parties, he didn’t know. He had begged and pleaded throughout his high school years to be dismissed. To go to a friend's house or hide in his room until the festivities were over. But every attempt ended in complete and utter failure.
So instead of going to see a movie with Robin or the kids, he bit the side of his mouth as the fifth person tonight asked:
“So what are your plans for college next year?”
That was it, he wanted to reach forward, to wrap his hands around the man’s neck and yell, “My future doesn’t concern you! Mind your own business!”
But he knew that was wrong. Even in a world where alternate dimensions existed, a world where DnD-like characters hunted them down, strangling this man would be considered improper. He took a sharp inhale and forced a smile, ready to recite the same sentence he had practiced in the mirror earlier.
“I’m actually working full time. I find real life experience more valuable than what I could learn in a classroom.”
The man’s brow raised before quickly relaxing in an attempt to look intrigued. It was clear he didn’t agree but didn’t want to upset the son of the hosts. The man nodded, taking a sip of his drink. “Well that’s, progressive…”
Steve tried not to scoff. Progressive. He couldn’t take these people any more. The language they used, the way they looked down on almost everyone. He did not see why his parents enjoyed the company of such dull minded people. Then again, he guessed his parents were just as boring as their companions.
“If you’ll excuse me, I have to go check on something,” Steve excused himself.
Before the man could protest, he was moving away through the crowd of people and up the stairs. Just a moment in his room, that was what he needed. His parents wouldn’t even notice he was gone. Hell, he could probably stay upstairs all night if he wanted to.
Steve let his back hit the wood of the door, it softly closing behind him. His head thudded against the back as the sounds of the party slowly drifted away to a distant muffle. For a moment, he felt peace. Tomorrow his parents would leave for their real holiday break. Some cruise he couldn’t care to remember. He’d finally be back to hanging out with Robin and the kids, and pretended like everything was okay.
But not all of the noises faded away.
“Umm, hi?”
Without thinking, Steve’s eyes shot open, his hand reaching for the nail-poked bat leaning against his dresser. He could never be too careful since his last encounter with the supernatural. It was better to keep the weapon in his room than face a demogorgon alone and vulnerable.
It wasn’t until he was armed in a defensive stance did he realize that there was no threat. In fact a very pretty stranger was sitting at the edge of his bed. Her hands were in front of her face, using the book she was holding to block from the suspecting blow.
“Holy shit, you scared me,” Steve said exasperated. He let the bat fall to his side as he slumped down against the floor. The rush of unneeded adrenaline made him feel light headed. His tie wrinkled as it folded into his chest.
“Sorry,” the stranger said, lowering the book and fixing her hair. “I didn’t think anyone would come in here. If I knew you had a bat-”
“No it’s alright, just… muscle memory,” he told her, still out of breath. He looked up at the book she was holding. It was one of his, plucked from his shelf next to his desk. “You came in here to read?”
She looked down at the book. “Not initially, no, but it looked interesting.”
“You can keep it. I only have it because it was required reading in school.”
The stranger’s eyes widened, her mouth forming an “o” with shock.
“This is your room,” she said, the realization of her intrusion settling in. Steve only nodded, picking himself off the ground. The stranger stood up too, placing the book back on the shelf. “I’m so sorry I just wandered in here-“
“It’s fine,” he said, waving a hand in dismissal. He truly didn’t care that she had stumbled into his room. The night was so exhausting all he wanted to do was sit. The bed creased at his weight as he did so.
The stranger remained standing, shifting her balance between each foot as she crossed her arms over her chest. Her gaze darted between him and the door, like she was pondering running away from the encounter entirely.
“I uh, didn’t know anyone else my age would be here,” he told her, unsure of what else to say. “Usually it’s just me and all the couples.”
“Yeah, I guess our dad’s work together,” She said, though it came out more like a question. “We just moved to town, so I don’t really know anyone here.”
“To Hawkins?” He asked, making sure he heard her right. She nodded.
“This town was just so great we had to move here,” she said, looking down at her feet. It was clearly a sore spot for her and he didn’t want to press any further.
“Yeah usually I hear about more people moving away every year… it’s not all bad though.” She rolled her eyes. “No really it’s not!”
“Okay how? Ever since I got here it’s been nothing but stuck up middle aged people complaining that their pools aren’t clean.”
Steve chuckled. “Okay I’ll admit there are a lot of people like that. But just inside Loch Nora. This is kind of the more well off community ya know?”
“So,” the girl began, sitting down in the bed next to him. “There are other parts of this town not full of old rich people?”
“Well I can’t promise that,” he paused, watching her giggle. “Though I can say there will be much less of them. Just stay away from the community pool.”
The girl raised an eyebrow, “And how do you know that isn’t where I wanna be? I could be a gold digger for all you know.”
“Oh well in that case you’re in the perfect place!” She giggled again and Steve couldn’t help the smile forming on his face. Hearing her make that sound? He never wanted it to stop. “I could show you, ya know? Around town?”
“Really?”
“Of course,” he replied a little too quickly. She was so damn pretty it was like every thought had left his head.
After his break up with Nancy, and Robin came out to him, Steve had done some serious rethinking in his life. Gone were the days of fooling around with the first girl he saw. Instead he decided to focus on more serious pursuits. People he could see being “the one.”
But with this girl, it was like he wanted to throw every single one of his rules out the window. He wanted to let himself get infatuated by her. Let her consume his only waking thoughts for however long this holiday party was supposed to last. He hoped she would let him.
The girl extended her hand. “I’m Y/n.”
Steve placed his hand in hers, giving it a firm shake. “Steve.”
“Nice to meet you, Steve. Now, how are we gonna make this party more interesting?”
🎬🎬🎬
“Are you sure about this?”
“Trust me, they won’t even know it’s gone.”
Y/n felt like a kid again. It had been a long time since a boy made her feel giddy inside. Someone she felt comfortable being around, not having to question any ulterior motives.
The boy grasped her hand tightly, pulling her through the large groups of people in the living room of his house. She giggled as he did so, watching as he turned back every now and then to make sure he hadn't lost her.
As they crossed the threshold into the kitchen, his hand slipped out of hers - she was surprised to find she missed his embrace. There hadn’t been many opportunities to socialize with people her age since moving to Hawkins so part of her was relieved when he barged into the room just minutes before. Yes, he had almost attacked her with a nail-covered bat, but he didn’t so that’s all that mattered.
She watched as Steve stepped around a group of businessmen talking by the open bar, taking a towel and draping it over his forearm like a server. He gestured for her to step forward. She did so, walking up to rest her arms on the counter. The businessman next to them didn’t pay any attention, despite seeing the two underage kids about to serve themselves drinks.
“What’s your poison?” Steve asked, putting on his most polite tone.
She smiled coyly, feeling her cheeks warm up. “Is it boring if I say beer?”
“Oh, this overpriced wine is too good for you?” She laughed again. “I mean, how dare you have a different taste than these snobs.”
“I like my beer, what can I say?”
Leaning down below the bar, Steve grabbed two bottles from the mini-fridge and an opener.  “Well good thing I like it too.”
Handing the open drink to her, she relished the small moment their fingers touched, the way they twitched slightly on contact. She looked back up at him. Into the chocolate brown eyes that made her want to lean forward and kiss him.
She never thought she’d feel that way after meeting someone for such a brief amount of time. But Steve radiated this kind and welcoming energy that was so unlike other people she had been attracted to in the past.
Pushing the thought from her mind, she cleared her throat. “Where to now?”
🎬🎬🎬
Over the course of his life in the big Harrington house, Steve found his fair share of secret places. They were not secret passageways, much to his dismay as a child, but nooks and crannies he could escape to for hours at a time. With the house full of people, most of those places were blocked and unusable. But there was one, he knew would go unseen.
“Are you being serious?” Y/n asked him, her hand gripping the window sill.
Steve balanced himself on the tiles of the roof, extending an arm back toward the open window of his bedroom. “I used to do this all the time,” he told her. “Do you trust me?”
Y/n let out a weak laugh, looking down. It was a weird question to ask someone you just met but in Steve’s mind, he could already trust her with his life. Thankfully, she felt the same way.
“For some reason, I do,” she said.
Leaning forward, he made sure to grasp her hand, having no plans of letting go anytime soon. She climbed through the window, bumping into him slightly as her feet hit the uneven tiles. Instinctively, he wrapped his other arm around her back to steady her. The fuzzy texture of her sweater itched on his fingers, but he’d rather feel uncomfortable than let her fall off the roof.
Balancing on her own, he released his hand, now somewhat missing the feeling of her sweater. He looked up at her, giving a nod to ask if she was okay. When she nodded back, he slowly began to move forward. They carefully maneuvered around the brick roof, sitting down on the edge of another window sill.
Y/n’s shoulders brushed against his as they sat down and Steve felt like a giddy teenager again. He had never taken a girl up here, but this felt like the type of sight she would wanna see.
“This is the attic window,” he told her, “It doesn’t open from the inside.”
“Duly noted,” she replied, interlancing her fingers atop her lap. “So, what’s so special about this spot?”
Steve let out a long breath, a much needed one after sucking up to his dad’s business partners all night. This was a spot that he never came to with anyone else. Partly because it was on the roof and partly because he liked keeping it hidden. It was a place he could go to to unwind, to ignore all the problems he had with his homelife.
Instead of baring his soul to this new girl, despite a part of him desperately wanting to, he went with a more simple explanation. “It has a good view of the neighborhood. When it starts to get dark, you can see the sun set over the houses.”
Y/n looked out in front of them. The sun had set a long time ago, but the sight was still beautiful. She told him so. “The stars are nice. You couldn’t see them in my old town.”
“No?”
She shook her head before turning to look at him. “Thank you for bringing me up here. This is just what I needed after the nightmare of moving here this week.”
He didn’t know how to respond, afraid that somehow he would fuck everything up. As he tried to think of something interesting to say, she leaned her body toward him. He felt her head rested on his shoulder and found himself infatuated with her smell.
It was a mix of different citrus scents he couldn’t quite place. No matter, it started to consume him anyway.  She was sinking under his skin and he had no intention of letting it go.
“O-of course,” he finally said, clearing his throat. “Glad to be of service.”
Y/n picked up her head from his shoulder, their faces barely inches away from each other. Steve thought she might kiss him from how she kept darting her eyes between his and his lips. He had barely known this girl for two hours. But he knew deep down that if she leaned in to kiss him, he would let her.
He let out a breath as she backed up slightly. A move that clarified there would be no making out to end the night. He wasn’t mad or upset, part of him actually was thankful. He didn’t wanna fuck up this relationship. Didn’t want his old self to seep into his new life with a person who didn’t know his past.
“You and I are going to be great friends, Steve,” she said, her voice softly floating between them. “I just know it.”
🎬🎬🎬
The thought of kissing Y/n still hadn’t left Steve’s mind. She had left with her parents and being the stupid, stupid boy he was, he didn’t ask for her information. He had looked for her everywhere he went. At work, at the grocery store; sometimes he would even aimlessly drive around Loch Nora hoping to catch her outside her home.
But a month later, he still hadn’t found her. Steve was starting to think that he made her up. That she was a beautiful figment of his imagination he conjured to pass the time at another boring holiday party. He wouldn’t put it past himself. After the battle with Vecna, he found himself daydreaming more and more, wanting to escape from the hellish reality he was placed in.
He had been daydreaming so much that Robin began to scold him. “Dingus, would at least try to act busy?”
Her words pulled him out of his thoughts of the mysterious Y/n. Back to the present, back to shelving tapes at Family Video. “Sorry,” he mumbled to his companion, not feeling like picking a fight with her.
Leaning on the shelf next to him, Robin could tell something was off. “You okay dingus? You were really gone there for a second.”
“I said sorry,” he told her, placing down another tape. “I was just…lost in thought.”
“Oh don’t tell me you were thinking of your mysterious party girl again. Steve glared at her, not engaging in her games. “Gosh you’re like a modern prince charming!”
“Am not!” he protested.
“Really?” she said sarcastically, folding her arms across her chest. “Cause from here it looks like you're searching for your princess, except this time she didn’t leave a glass slipper.”
Steve sighed, moving to the shelf across from them, picking up another set of tapes for that genre. “Is it wrong to want to find her? I promised her I’d show her around, ya know? Be a friendly face in town.”
Robin moved over with him, leaning against another shelf. “You can’t go searching around Loch Nora again tonight.”
“And why not?”
“Argh you don’t remember anything! We’re going to Eddie’s gig tonight? At the Hideout?” Shit, he did forget. It was hard to keep track of anything with all the activities the kids had. “You better not back out, you're my ride!”
“I'm not gonna back out!” he protested, knowing full well he would’ve canceled if she didn’t say something. He loved Eddie but metal music was not his thing. The head pounding, the sharp drum beats - it made his head hurt.
Ring!
The front door sounded out, making Steve and Robin poke their heads out from the isle they were in. Thankfully it was just Dustin, a lollipop in his mouth from winning a game at the arcade next door.
“Can one of you take me home?” he asked.
Steve groaned. When he said “can one of you,” it really meant him. Robin, being a year out of high school, had yet to get her driver’s license.
Sighing, he said, “Sure, my shift ends in five.”
🎬🎬🎬
The Hideout was more crowded than Steve remembered. People were bumping his shoulders on either side, the ground somewhat sticky from spilled drinks. The walls were covered in band posters, some of them local, most of which Steve had never heard of. Robin was plastered to his side, talking to Nancy and Jonathan who had just arrived.
“Do you think they’re gonna play LaunchPad McQuack?” Jonathan asks, somewhat shouting over the music.
“I have no idea,” Robin yelled back. “I think they’re playing new stuff.”
They saw Jonathan nod, trying to hide his disappointment. He was always Eddie’s big supporter when it came to music. Being the only one of them who could actually studied music in his off time.
“As long as -” Steve began to speak, being cut off by the uproar of the crowd. He looked over to see Corroded Coffin walking across the stage, Eddie walking up to take the mic.
He was already nursing a drink, placing it on a conveniently placed stool as the other members began tinkering with their instruments. Taking the mic in his hands he shouted, “How’s everyone doing tonight?”
The crowd roared as he scanned it, his eyes quickly falling on all of his friends. Eddie winked at them with a smirk. In unison, the four friends picked up their hands to flip him off. To outsiders it seemed like an awful thing to do, but for them, it was a fun gesture to let the others know that they’re there, they’re present, and they’re supporting one another.
Eddie chuckled as he saw the gesture, the crowd dying down enough that he could speak again. “Now I know you’re excited to hear our new stuff, but unfortunately our bassist Jeff is sick.” The crowd booed, Steve and Robin among them. “Fear not! For we have a newcomer here to join us! Everyone, make some noise for the lovely, the wonderful, Y/n Y/L!”
The crowd began cheering as Y/n walked out, her bass already strapped around her. Steve, on the other hand, felt himself melt into shock. There she was, in all her beautiful glory. The girl he hadn’t stopped thinking about who was very much real and not his imagination.
Y/n. Her name felt like butter on his tongue. The way she dressed left very little to his imagination - it was making him go insane.
She waved to the crowd, her eyes washing over them before they found him. She stuttered for a second and chuckled, her too not sure if he was really in front of her. But then, she smiled. She truly smiled.
After going to so many of his parents’ holiday parties, he began to get pretty good at reading people. The amount of fake smiles that people had given him were enough to kick him down and stay there for good. But as he looked up at Y/n on that stage and saw that grin, he could tell that it was real.
“Steve?” His name pulled him out of his own thoughts. Robin had been talking to him. He hummed a yes. “Is that her?”
He had only told Robin her name one or twice over the course of the month and it was still hazy in memory.
“Y-yeah,” Steve managed to get out, just as the band began its first track. “Yeah it is.”
🎬🎬🎬
The band played most of their new stuff, people in the crowd jumping and jamming along to the songs. Most of it went over Steve’s head, everything around him becoming muffled as he watched Y/n in awe.
She was gorgeous, he knew that before. But watching her play the bass? It was so hot. The way her fingers plucked at the strings, her shoulders swaying back and forth to keep in time with the drums. Even down to the bead of sweat trickling down her forehead, she seemed perfect.
The set was over before he registered it beginning. Applause ruptured from the crowd as the band made their way off stage. Steve felt a pang in his chest as he watched her disappear, like if he ever lost sight of her again she would be gone from his life for good.
No. Not this time. He found her and he had no intention of letting her go.
The band had to have a meeting with their newly appointed manager so instead of meeting backstage, the four friends waited in the parking lot. Steve found it hard to stand still. He paced back and forth in front of Eddie’s van as he bit on his nails, anxiously waiting to see Y/n again.
Jonathan nudged Robin’s shoulder. “What’s got him so nervous?” he asked.
“That girl on bass?” Robin began, watching her two friends nod knowingly. “Apparently she moved to town a month ago. Steve met her at a party his parents were holding and like an idiot didn’t ask for her number.”
“You know I can hear you, Rob,” Steve told her, stopping his pacing in front of them.
“I wasn’t trying to hide it. You were stupid for not asking!”
He wanted to bicker with her, but in the end he knew she was right. It was stupid to let her leave that night without even knowing her address.
Before he could even utter a word, Nancy said, “Oh look they’re coming!”
Steve turned around to see the band walking up to the van. Eddie was in front, his arms stretched out on either side of him as he dangled his guitar case. “Was that so metal or what?!”
Jonathan was the first to step forward. “Super metal man, congrats on the EP.”
Robin and Nancy began to congratulate him as well but Steve’s eyes were drawn on Y/n, her arm wrapped around Gareth’s shoulders. It dropped when she looked up at him.
Gareth kept walking like nothing happened, everyone moving around each other in congratulations but Steve and Y/n stood still. His eyes were stuck on her, stuck in her beautiful eyes he never thought he’d see again. And then, she smiled. Gosh, he loved that smile.
Eddie was the first from the group to notice their staring. “You two look like deer caught in headlights,” he said with a chuckle. “You two know each other or something?”
Steve was still unable to get a word out, thankful Y/n spoke for them. “Yes we do,” she told Eddie, finally breaking her gaze to look at him. “In fact, we have plans tonight. Don’t we, Steve?”
They both knew that wasn’t true. But if she wanted to get away, he would follow her at the drop of a hat.
“Uh y-yes. Yes we do,” he stuttered out.
Nancy tilted her head in confusion. “Wait, I thought we were all heading to the diner?”
Steve could barely process he was being pulled away as Y/n’s hand wrapped around his, gently guiding him toward her own car parked a couple spots away.
“Uh maybe next time?”
Y/n was giggling into his side as she loaded her bass into the trunk of her car. “You were my ride, dingus!” Robin shouted back as he opened the side of her car door.
“John will take you, right?” Steve asked, a pleading look on his face.
Jonathan, confused as what had just happened stuttered out, “Y-yeah, sure. I can take you home.”
Shouting a thanks, Steve felt Y/n pull him into the car, the door shutting hastily behind him. Turning on the car, she turned to look at him, her smile stretching across her face. “So, I think you promised me a tour of Hawkins.”
He couldn’t help but smile back. “I did, didn’t I?” Reaching forward, he interlaced his hand with hers. “Looks like you already found Eddie, that covers the dangerous side of town.”
Y/n laughed, her head dropping forward. “Yeah, no need to show me the crack house.”
“Well, we could go to Lover’s Lake.”
She raised an eyebrow. “Lover’s Lake? You think you’re gonna get lucky tonight, Steve?”
Her tone was more playful than condescending and it made Steve feel like the luckiest guy in the world. Shrugging he said, “Maybe?”
Laughing again, she put the car in drive, her hand leaving his to prop against the wheel. They pulled to the edge of the Hideout’s parking lot. She turned to look at him one more time.
“Lucky for you, Harrington, I think you’re right.”

Missed You Too

Missed You Too
Steve Harrington x reader
Summary: You finally kiss Steve.
A/N: Ok this is one that I posted on AO3 after the end of the last season. Obviously I had to write something good for Steve because they do my boy so dirty!! HE IS NOT SOMEONES SECOND CHOICE!! Hope you enjoy my loves <3!!
Tumblr media
The past week was a blur. You didn’t expect your first college spring break to end with you racing back to Hawkins to see the aftermath of what Venca…? One…? Henry…caused. You didn’t want to entirely believe that the Upside Down still existed, that the gate was still open after you all fought so hard to close it time and time again. That’s why you chose to leave Hawkins in the first place, moving across the country to get away from the horrors of that small town.
But when Jonathan, Will, and Mike show up at your door, pleading for your help to find Eleven, you couldn’t just turn your back on them, not then, not ever.
You didn’t even know that Joyce, Eleven, and the boys moved to California shortly after you did. No one bothering to stay in touch, mostly you didn’t bother to stay in touch. Almost like you intentionally separated yourself from the people you were closest to. You would never admit it, blaming the lack of communication on school.
The truth was, you didn’t want to be part of Hawkins anymore. You didn’t want to fear for your life. The scar that Hawkins left on your soul made you paranoid, made it hard for you to live a normal life. Always looking over your shoulder, always ready for a fight.
The drive back was like riding a bike, you could drive it blind folded if you had to. Everyone thought it would be best if you drove the last bit as Jonathan was barely able to stay awake at this point. The tall, full trees lined the only road in and out of Hawkins. Car after car rushing to escape the town as disaster stuck only nights before.
Passing shelters, destroyed homes, police and media, all lining the streets trying to make sense of the situation. If only they knew the truth.
The car swings around the curb, braking suddenly outside of the Wheeler house. You never thought you would be here again, at least not in this lifetime. Pausing, white knuckling the steering wheel as you hear the van door slide open. Mike, Eleven, Will, Argyle and Jonathan exiting the vehicle to be reunited with loved ones again. You take your time getting out of the pizza van, not sure if you wanted to see them, not sure if they wanted to see you .
Finding yourself staying by the van with Argyle. He was new, didn’t know about Hawkins and was thrown into this mess similar to how you all were. How could he continue to want to be part of this? Your gaze drifts down, your chest heaving rapidly. Your feet glued to the ground, unable to move from your spot.
Closing your eyes, trying to regain a sense of self. It shouldn’t matter that you left then, it should only matter that you are here now . Some relief washing over as you repeat that you are here now, you are here now, you are here now. The held breath releasing as you scan the scene in front of you, the warm breeze picking up making you draw the wild strands of hair behind your ears.
You watch as Mike hugs his mom, her eyes tender and soft, thanking the gods for him to be returned safely, stating how he is never allowed to leave home again. Her hands never leave his body, afraid that if she lets go then he will disappear without a trace again.
Jonathan approaches Nancy, both unsure of their relationship, both yearning for a solution - but still they hug, the sweet embrace almost made up for the long, angry phone calls and the absence spring break trip.
Jonathan told you all about his Nancy problems, hoping you would be able to help. He didn’t like your answer of honesty and communication, joking how you were never honest with your true feelings for a certain Hawkins boy. Quietly commenting that you should have made a move a long time ago to get him to move on from Nancy.
After all this time, you couldn’t believe he was still hung up on her. But maybe he was supposed to move on. Move on to someone who he spent all his time with, to the person he’d drop by at their house unannounced, to the girl who was so tired of the neverending nightmares that she did everything she could to move as far away as possible. Even if it meant breaking the heart of the person she was supposed to end up with.
And there he was…
Boy, was he a sight for sore eyes. The green-blue sweater with the rolled up sleeves to the washed out blue jeans hugging his hips in all the right places. The way his hair was so delicately placed, too messy to be considered neat, too neat to be considered messy. His eyes heartbroken, full of pain and anger. Full of every ounce of love that he is willing to give away in a heartbeat. Your soul aching for him.
His hand placed on the back of his neck, clearly hurt from the unfolding scene between Nancy and Jonathan. Robin’s hand pressing gently on his back, guiding him away.
You weren’t surprised that he still had feelings for her. A little annoyed, yes, but not surprised in any way. He would always talk about her, the way she laughed and talked and smiled. And it made you so angry back then. Realizing that the anger never left.
He hasn’t noticed you yet, his eyes fixated on the ground. Probably hoping to finally disappear. You feel the same. You were two passing ships in the night too afraid to let the other one know you were there, constantly turning off your lights, constantly dropping your sails.
The situation between you both was left pretty rocky. You could never decipher the tension between you both, was it love or indifference? Steve was always there for you and even supported your decision to leave Hawkins, even if that meant never seeing you ever again.
You promised to call each other once a week, which did happen until once a week turned into once a month and once a month turned into dozens of missed calls on both ends. Leaving you both hopeless and alone. Both trying to figure out adulthood without the comfort of a childhood friend.
Before pushing your body away from the car, you look over at Argyle for some sort of friendly relief. After hearing Jonathan complain about you never making a move on Steve, Argyle has been constantly encouraging you since. To not wait for any guy to make the first move, to create your own future. You were surprised at his wisdom.
His kind smile helps ease your nerves as your feet move one in front of the other, your heart beating so loud you can hear it in your ears. The drowning noise of your blood rushing through your body almost makes you want to turn around. Run away like the first time - but you were tired of running. Tired of the ‘what if situation’ that danced between you and Steve. This was your moment and there was no way you were going to turn back. Not this time.
Walking down the driveway, Mrs.Wheeler silently thanks you for helping bring Mike back home safely. Her hand lightly squeezes yours as you pass. Your lips curl, barely a smile forming as your mind is elsewhere.
Nancy watches as you walk by, her body still wrapped in Jonathan’s arms. Her mouth barely parted, maybe she wanted to say something but immediately regretted his decision to make any comment. The strong bond between you both broke when she started to date Steve…then Jonathan. You were civil with one another but you’ve barely spoken a sentence in the past three years. Neither of you wanting to resolve your years-long battle.
Robin’s and Steve’s gaze are on you. Stopping right in front of the pair, realizing you didn’t have a plan once you got to this point. Robin instantly beaming that bright smile that you missed so much. Her hug was intentional, like she was trying to squeeze all the events of this past week out of you. Cleansing you of all the horrors. Your arms wrap around his waist, pulling her deeper, knowing you needed her in that moment. Her comfort washing over you, giving you the strength you so desperately needed. She releases you, arm's length away, her smile inviting and safe.
Your eyes shifting to Steve. Swearing in that moment that he was smiling but immediately covering it with a cough and a snatch on the nose.
She squeezes your shoulders before walking away, giving you and Steve a little alone time. Even if that alone time was in front of half your friends.
“Hey.” You exhale, the tension growing between the two of you. The air suddenly still as his eyes studying your face, his fingers twitching every so slightly.
In one swift movement, grabbing your wrist, pulling you in for a hug. The instant smell of his cologne filling your head, making you dizzy with the smell of home. No words needed to be spoken between the two of you. He was just glad you were safe, finally in his arms.
You missed him.
Not just this past week, but for the past 8 months. He pulls you in closer, his body finally relaxing against yours. The breath of fresh air was everything you both needed, everything you have ever wanted, and everything you will ever need.
In this moment, you were his and he was yours. Everything was right with the world. All the trouble of this past week washes away, your minds clearing, seeing a future with only the two of you.
You both pull back, speaking in a silent conversation. Neither of you know how to respond in this situation. Both of you felt the buzz, the electricity, the love.
After all this time, it felt like you never left. The feelings for Steve came crumbling back down. You thought this was your chance, your only chance . Your body makes the decision for you, as your hand wraps around the back of his neck, pulling him down to meet your lips.
Your breath instantly intertwines with his, every inhale pulling him closer and closer. Your other hand balling up into the soft fabric of his sweater as he deepens into you. His hand catching your cheek, his lips soft and warm, gentle yet demanding. The craving of his touch on your skin sends heat waves throughout your body.
He takes his time, wanting to remember this moment. All the uncertain feelings, all the unfinished conversations, crashing down all around you both. Kissing him was the only way you could tell him everything you had kept in for all these years.
He pulls back, resting his forehead on yours, pure eyes as he whispers, “I missed you too.”

maybe they’re having a little slumber party or something and someone says something abt never having been with a girl and the rest is history…
Sorry this took me so long to write 🫣, I hope you like it 😏💓
Warnings: 18+
SMUT!! - face riding, nipple sucking, threesome, pussy grinding, scissoring, cunnilingus, touching, dirty talk, vibrator use, female masturbation, clit spanking.
Fluff- Film watching, hand holding. Sleepover themes.
Tumblr media
After leaving school, the girls disappeared to assemble their stuff for your slumber party that evening. It was a relatively common occurrence, you enjoyed spending time with them out of school.
You were all quite close, people called you the 3 musketeers since you were always together.
The doorbell rang as you were applying the finishing touches to your appearance, you would never tell them but you had the biggest crush on them both.
You had shared drunken kisses with them but never experienced anything more.
They walked into your house as you had just placed together their mattress on the floor. Throwing their things by your desk, they collapsed onto the bed next to you.
Robin brought out a selection of films from her bag, Nancy was clutching onto some snacks with a smile. After a long debate on what film to watch, you decided on Desert Hearts a 1985 lesbian movie.
It was their mission to introduce you to more lesbian films. Robin excitedly placed it into the VHS and with you in the middle, the film had you hooked.
As the film progressed, your clit began pulsating at the romantic sex scene that appeared on screen. You began squirming in your seat, Robin looks at Nancy who nods and edges closer to you on the bed, her hand touching your thigh as her other hand stroked your face.
Her lips hover over yours before kissing you softly, her lips slowly begin to move with yours.
Your nerves calm down as her hand slides further up your thigh, Nancy moves closer to Robin and pulls her off you. Kissing her roughly as you watch, getting turned on by their passion.
Nancy moves next to you, her hand touched Robin’s on your thigh. Together they edge closer to your waist, Nancy slipping her hand under your trousers first. Making you gasp as her cool hands graze your cunt, sliding down until her finger circles your clit.
Robins lips are back on yours alternating with Nancy as they both desperately want a piece of you. Nancy’s hand rubs between your folds, feeling you grow wetter and wetter.
“Have any toys we can play with, little one?” Nancy pauses, looking at you mischievously.
The film was still playing in the background as your shakily looked towards your bedside table. Nancy smirked and reached over, fumbling around inside until she found your vibrator.
Testing it a little in her hand, she pushed you hard onto the bed. Robin straddled you, holding you hard as she ripped down your trousers. Exposing your wet cunt, your hips bucked against her thigh.
“Not yet little one” She commanded, prodding her finger into your chest.
Your bra was firmly on your chest as Nancy moved the vibrator up your thighs until it reached your clit, you gasped loudly.
Robin clutched onto your arms above your head as she kissed your tits, Nancy rubbed the vibrator between your wet folds. Letting go of your hands slightly to unclip your bra, your tits bounced out in front of her face.
Her tongue circled your nipples making you shiver, slowly beginning to suck on them. Your gasps turning into moans, Nancy removed the vibrator for a second making you whine.
“More pls” you sounded pathetic as Robin sucked roughly onto your nipples.
“No baby, I think we should Robin fuck you with her cunt. Would you like that?” Nancy soothed your whining with a kiss.
Robin looked at Nancy in slight surprise but climbed off you and kissing Nancy who removed her underwear. Sliding her hand down to touch her dripping cunt, you lay on the bed watching them together.
When you think they aren’t looking, you move your hand down to touch your clit. Groaning as your hips buck against the bed, the sounds of both girls kissing makes you wetter.
Nancy snapped out of the kiss, pushing Robin aside as she noticed that you were spanking your clit desperately.
“Oh I see someone likes us kissing Rob” she sneered at you, pulling Robin in for another kiss and sliding her hand between her thighs.
You whimpered and spanked your clit harder as you continued watching. Robin pulled herself away from Nancy’s grasp and straddled you.
Moving your hand away from your throbbing clit, the sensation of another girls wet cunt on top of yours was intense. As she began to grind on top of you, you nervously placed your hands on her cheeks and helped her move.
She lifted up your head so that you were forced to look at her, moaning softly as you moved her faster and faster on top of you.
Nancy sat on the top of the bed, leaning closer to Robin and whispered something in her ear. They both nodded and you watched as Nancy stripped in front of you, your eyes widening at the sight.
“I’m going to fuck myself on your face, would you like that little one?” She whispered, kissing your ear softly. You nodded between moans.
Gasping as she slowly climbed between your face, her cunt was wet as she began to ride on your tongue. Her moans rippled across her body.
Your eyes closed tightly as you edged closer and closer to your orgasm, Robin and Nancy leant forward until their lips met.
Kissing passionately as they rode you, both of their wet cunts growing wetter by the second. Their moans were something you had never heard before, your legs shook quickly as Robin pounded her clit hard against yours.
You felt Nancy’s clit twitch on your tongue as she aggressively rode your face, her moans turning into pants. Sucking onto Robin’s tongue, Nancy was wetter than you had expected.
“Fuck little one, you’re going to make me cum” she whined loudly into Robin’s mouth.
“Cum for us baby” Robin moaned, slowly down her own speed against your clit.
You moaned onto her clit, sending vibrations which made Nancy’s body shake. Her eyes rolling back as you felt her cum, taking it all into her mouth.
She climbed off slightly and shook her dripping cunt over your face, making sure every bit of cum covered your face.
Collapsing onto the bed, she kissed Robin before bringing her lips to yours and kissing you roughly. Squeezing your nipples tightly as she nodded to Robin who continued to move on you.
Panting as your hips thrusted against her wet cunt, your legs were tired as she began to shake on you.
“Will you cum with me little one?” She panted, there was desperation in her eyes.
“Uh huh” you gasped, you were close as your clit throbbed on top of her.
She gripped hard onto your sides, digging her fingernails into your skin as you both edged closer to your orgasm. Her eyes burning into yours, biting your lip hard.
Robin looked hot as she humped her tired wet cunt on yours.
“Oh fuck, I’m going to cum” she moaned loudly, twitching hard as you felt her cum hard.
Your own body shaking as you came with her, still thrusting each others cum together until you were both overstimulated. Your lips and neck were sore and red from Nancy.
She fell heavily onto yours and kissed you soft, smiling as your sweaty bodies met. Your clits still twitching from relief.
“That was so fun” you smiled, still catching your breath with Robin on top of you.
“Maybe we should rewatch that film” Robin joked, winking at you both as her body glistened like you all with sweat.

Tumblr media
You can hear the sound of shushed voices around you as you slowly regain consciousness. You try to open your eyes but are met by a harsh light.
“She’s awake!” Dustin says loudly you feel as though your eardrums may burst.
“Sh! She’s clearly still a bit out of it!” Steve said firmly coming over to your side. “Had us worried their for a second Y/N.”
Your eyes finally adjust to the light and you get a good look at your surroundings, the white walls and beeping noise coming from the monitor gives it away.
“Am I in the hospital?” You ask, hoping one of the many people standing around your bed will answer.
“Sure are, you got knocked out.” Eddie answered clearly trying not to laugh.
“Come on let’s go get the kids, they’re dying to see you.” Robin said gesturing for Eddie and Nancy to come with her.
Moment later a doctor walked into the room, gave you a quick checkup, administered something for the pain and left.
“Here, I got you your favourite.” Steve said handing you a cherry slurpy. “Your gonna need to keep your fluids up.”
“Oh Steve, I love these. I kind of feel like I’m floating.” You say taking a sip, letting out a pleased moan.
You can’t help but smile as Steve’s jaw clenches at the sound.
“I think you’re a little bit out of it sweetheart, does your head hurt?” Steve asks you, but you couldn’t give one shit about your head right now.
“Sh it’s ok Stevie, I love my slurpy I’ll make it up to your later.” You say winking at him with a smirk on your face.
“Calm down love the kids will be here in a minute.” Steve says trying to get you to shut up, hoping to avoid an embarrassing situation.
“No it’s not fair pretty boy, you have to sit here with me. Watching me suck on this straw.” You smile up at him, your lips stained red.
“Alright calm down.” Steve says peaking his head out from the curtains around your bed to see if anyone is near.
“Oh! I know!” You say the most amazing idea ever coming to your head.
“Sh we’ll talk about this later baby.” Steve said trying to quiet you down before you say something he knows you’ll regret later.
“I’ll suck your dick!” You say eyes wide smiling. “I’ll suck your dick when we get home ok? Wait maybe in the car.”
“Alright thats enough.” Steve says his face turning red.
“No it’s not, your too good to me. Take your pants off and I’ll do it now. Quick!” You say grabbing for his belt.
The sound of the curtains being opened bought your attention over to the group.
Eddie and Robin looked as though they were about to burst out laughing.
Nancy looked extremely concerned, especially for the kids.
Said kids were left absolutely dumbfounded all their faces red.
“Oh my god.” Steve muttered under his breath who was the reddest of all. “How much did-“
“All of it.” Max said quickly cutting Steve off before he could even finish wash he was going to say.
“Oh no, does this mean I have to give them all the safe sex talk!” You say looking mortified and still unable to control your filter.
“Robin get me a banana and a condom!”
“Alright everyone out!” Nancy said hording the kids out of the room as quickly as possible.
Eddie and Robin were absolutely shitting themselves in the corner laughing.
Steve was too busy worrying he’d actually have to give the kids the birds and the bees talk.

FOREST HILLS TRAILER PARK.
You climb out of Nancy’s car, groaning at the heat. The knitted top and shorts you had put on were no help.
“Why didn’t you put on different shoes?” Robin lifts her brows, eyes looking at your brown boots.
You pout. “These matched. Hopefully Eddie’s air conditioner is working.” Making your way towards the homemade wooden porch - one Eddie broke one night and had to fix - you yank open the door and step inside.
Luckily it was working. You let out a sigh and plop down on the worn flannel couch.
You hear a whistle. “Well, hello.” Eddie stares down at you, grinning.
You open an eye and peek up at him, lifting a brow. “What do you want?”
“I’m offended you think I want something.”
“You only compliment me when you do want something.”
“This time I don’t want anything. Promise.”
You narrow your eyes at him, humming slightly before closing your eyes, counting down in your head.

Andddd…. 1.
“Can you cut a couple of these tops for me?” He holds up the selection of tops.
“Knew it,” You grin, sitting up. “Give me some scissors.”
He nods, dropping them onto the coffee table, walking towards the kitchen, opening a drawer. Nancy and Robin steps inside the trailer.
“Oh, it is working.” Robin sighs, sitting in front of the cool air, letting out a sigh as it blows onto her skin. Nancy sits next to you.
Eddie hands you the scissors. You grab them from his hands. “Where do you want me to cut it?”
“Across here,” He makes a line straight across the stomach of the shirt. “And here,” He points to the sleeves. “But only two shirts with cut off sleeves.”
“You got it.” You nod, cutting into the fabric.
The door opens, Steve groaning as he drops the bags down to the ground. “I really hope the air in your van is working. It’s like a million degrees out there.” Steve walks towards the refrigerator.
“Checked it the other day,” Eddie says, eyes glancing over a magazine, reebok foot resting on the coffee table. “It works just fine.”
“You said that the last time.” Jonathan says, sitting next to Robin, sighing as the air hits his face. Steve makes his way back, sitting on the arm of the couch next to you.
You glance over at him, smiling softly before quickly looking down. Eddie’s eyes watches the both of you, smirking behind the magazine.
“I swear on my life, it’s working!” Eddie shuts the magazine, rolling it up as he stands. He hits the top of Steve’s head.
“Nance, Robin, you’re up front with me.”
“I get motion sickness in the back.” Jonathan frowns.
“Then go to sleep?” Eddie lifts his brows. Jonathan sighs, shaking his head. You fold the shirts, standing and handing them over to Eddie. “Everyone ready to go?”
“You have the cooler packed?” Steve asks.
“And the bag with food and snacks?” You tilt your head.
“You both think so little of me.” He presses a hand to his chest.
Steve rolls his eyes, standing. “Because last time you said it was packed-”
You cut Steve off to finish. “You carried the bag and it was empty. The last time you said you had it in the van, ready to go and definitely packed-”
Robin cuts you off this time. “You had left all the food and drinks here.”
“And camping was your idea.” Nancy points out, standing. Robin and Jonathan stand as well.
Eddie rolls his eyes, grabbing the keys to the house and van. “Well, excuse me for being a bit scatterbrained and wanting to have fun with my friends.”
“Steve and Jonathan should double check.” Robin says. Eddie frowns and stares at her.
“Just to be sure. It doesn’t hurt,” You shrug. “Besides. I have to use the bathroom.” You walk past Steve.
“Hurry up. It’d be a shame if you were left behind!”
“Would be such a shame.” You look back at him, before stepping into the bathroom.
The road was bumpy, your hand landing on top of Steve’s for a mere minute. You glance at your hands, blushing and pulling it away quickly.
Steve smirks a bit, pretty eyes peering at you through his lashes.
The van stops abruptly, the side of Steve’s head smacking into the hunk of metal. The back door opens, Eddie standing with frazzled hair from the rolled down window - because the air did not work like he said it would - grinning.
“Hopefully it wasn’t too bumpy and Byers didn’t puke.”
“He slept the whole time,” Steve grumbles, hopping down onto the ground. He holds his hand out to you. “When we leave, I drive.”
“Sounds like a plan. I want to sleep on the way back.” He takes his bags, walking away. Steve rolls his eyes, grabbing his bags and one of your own.
“I can carry it, Stevie.”
“No. It’s okay,” He smiles. “I got it.”
“You have got to be kidding me, Munson!” Robin exclaims from the front. You and Steve both share a look, walking around to the front.
“What?!”
“Are you- You’re not seriously thinking about breaking into a summer camp are you? A shut down one at that!”
“Oh, stop being so silly, Robin,” He rolls his eyes, walking towards the chained gate. “You should know I’m not thinking about it,” He drops his bag down to the ground, unzipping it. “I already thought ahead to it.” He pulls out pilers and showing them to her with a grin.
“I’m not sleeping in there. There could be… I don’t know, people- serial killers hiding in there!”
He cuts the chain open with a grunt, watching as it unravels to the dirt ground, pushing the gate open with a creak. “Well, I have blankets in the van if you’d like to sleep in there, alone.”
“What do you guys think about this?” She turns to you, Steve, and Nancy. Jonathan soon joins, scratching at his head as he yawns.
“Oh, wait,” He looks at the chosen campsite. “This is cool.”
“What?!” Robin throws her arms up.
“Oh, come on, Rob,” Nancy grabs her hand. “It could be cool! We’ll all be together, the vans right here if anything happens-”
“Yes. Because that makes me change my mind.”
“All I’m saying is, we can make a quick run for it. It could be cool. You’ll be sad if you missed out.” She shrugs, walking towards Eddie.
Robin sighs and turns to you and Steve. “What do you two think about this?”
“Well… It’s crazy, but…”
“But….?” She lifts a brow.
“It’s just a one time thing.” Steve shrugs.
She sighs and shakes her head. Leaning down, she grabs the bag from the ground. “Okay. But I’m telling you, if there is some crazy, serial killer here, I’m leaving you all to die.”
Eddie chortles. “So great you think highly of us.”
⛏️
A bit of cherry juice drops down your arm, your other hand wiping it up with a napkin. Your eyes stay trained on Steve - who looked particularly good in the cut off green faded Hawkins high shirt and Levi cut off jeans - tossing the baseball towards Jonathan.
He holds his hand up, Jonathan pausing and tossing the ball into the air. Steve lets out a heaving breath, hunching over as his hands rest on his knees, hair sticking to his forehead that was slick with sweat.
Eddie was lounging out on the blanket, Robin snickering everytime she placed a rock in his hair without him noticing.
“You’re drooling.” Nancy leans up, wiping at the corner of your mouth.
You roll your eyes, swatting her hand away. “No, I’m not.”
“You so are,” Eddie says. “And my eyes are closed.” You roll your eyes, pulling your legs up to your chest.
“Who’s ready to eat?” Steve asks, making his way towards the four of you, Jonathan behind him.
“Me! I’ll start the fire.” Eddie sits up, a bunch of rocks falling from his head. He narrows his eyes at Robin.
She laughs.
⛏️
“Have you ever heard the reason why this place closed down?” Eddie asks, wiping some marshmallow from the corner of his lip.
You groan mentally while Robin voices it, tossing her head back. “If i’m sleeping out here, Munson, I do not want to be hearing no spooky stories,” She stares at him now, pointing a finger at him. “We are in the middle of nowhere. In the woods. And no one knows where we are.”
“What’s camping without a scary story around the fire?”
“Start without me,” Jonathan says, standing from his spot. He grabs the flashlight. “I gotta go to the bathroom.” He turns it on, Robin squinting as it hits her face. He turns and walks towards the wooded area.
“This better not be a planned scare, dingus!” She calls after him, before looking at Eddie. “It better not be.” Eddie smirks, humming. “Well… hold on to your socks, Buckley.” She grumbles as she takes another bite of a graham cracker. You and Steve share a look, a small smile on each of your faces. There’s a snap somewhere in the distance.
“Eddie, I swear-”
“I didn’t plan nothing,” Eddie sighs, dropping the smirk. “Probably Byers playing some sick joke or something. Anyway, I’m going to start the story,” He clears his throat. “Picture it, Camp Redwood 1975-”
“What is this? Golden Girls?” Steve lifts a brow. He caught the show with you at times.
Eddie narrows his eyes at him, effectively shutting him up. Steve leans back on his hands, shoulder brushing with yours.
“As I was saying, it was 1975, camp counselors would always come two days earlier - to figure out what they were doing and where everything was - and the last day they had without any sticky fingered gremlins with snotty noses, they would always have a little camp out themselves, throw a little party without any of the adults knowing,”
“Of course.” Robin mutters. Nancy nudges her shoulder with her own.
Eddie smirks, the fire reflecting off of his eyes, highlight his face in a glow. His eyes trail over everyone one by one. “It was going to be fun… Until, they were-”
There’s another snap in the distance, causing him to stop, eyes shooting up and looking towards the sound.
“Eddie,” Robin grits. “I swear… I’m too young to die.”
He rolls his eyes, standing and dusting off his pants. “Again, it’s probably just Jonathan playing some sick joke. I’ll go see.” He walks towards the trees. He stops, letting out a chuckle.
“See,” He looks back at the group. “I was right. It was-” He stumbles back when he feels a weight drop into his front. He grunts, hands shooting out and gripping the boys shoulders. “Anddd it’s time for you to slow down on the beer.” He chuckles.
You slowly stand to your feet, tilting your head when Jonathan chokes on a cough, something spilling from his mouth and onto Eddie’s arm.
Eddie makes a noise, stumbling back from him. His eyes widen when he looks down at his arms before looking up at Jonathan again.
The boy falls to his knees, more stuff slipping out of his mouth. You step closer, eyes widening when you see what it actually is.
Blood.
Jonathan looks up at you. “Help m-” He’s choking on the words, more blood spilling at his mouth. Your eyes drop down towards the sharp end of metal poking out of his chest.
You let out a scream, watching as it slips from him when he falls to the ground. A man - 6’1 in a dirty mask - stands behind him, arm lowering to his side. Eddie’s hand grabs your wrist, pulling you away.
“Go!” He yells. You run a different way, eyes burning with tears as your legs burn. You slide in behind a cabin, breath coming out roughly. Your hair sticks to your forehead from sweat.
You flinch when you feel something drop onto your skin. You peek up at the sky, feeling more droplets fall onto your skin before the rain slowly becomes a downpour.
A hand wraps around your mouth. “Shhh… It’s me, it’s okay.” Steve whispers in your ear. You pull your face away from him, glancing up at him.
“W…Where’s everyone else?”
Steve’s brows pinch together, eyes closing. “Nancy… she, uh-”
You let out a shuddering breath, shaking your head. “No… No, she’s not dead.”
“I’m sorry… I tried to help her, I couldn’t. He grabbed her before I-” He stops, hearing a snap next to the cabin. His hand slips into yours, gripping tightly.
“It’s me! Don’t scream.” Robin holds her hands out in front of her.
You let out a breath, walking towards her and wrapping her in a tight hug.
“Where’s Eddie?” Steve whispers.
“I have no idea… But we need to run to the van. Maybe he’s already there.” Robin pulls away from you. You both nod.
Steve peeks his head out, eyes checking to be sure everything was clear. “Okay… It looks clear, but he could be hiding… I’ll go first.”
Robin’s hand grabs yours. You squeeze once, walking in behind Steve, hand gripping onto the wet material of his top.
You feel her hand slip from yours. Before you could turn, there’s a choked sound coming from her mouth and a squelching noise as she falls to the wet ground.
You turn, eyes widening at the sight of her clutching her throat, chest heaving.
Steve lets out a breath, pulling you along. “No! Steve! We can’t just-”
“We can’t save her! We’re too far out from a hospital! We need to make it back to the-" He stops, eyes glancing over your shoulder, face dropping. He pulls you out of the way in a quick movement, gasping when the metal slices deep into his chest.
Blood soaks the back of his shirt, his knees buckling from underneath him. You let out another scream, your ears ringing.
Steve turns his head. “Run.” He chokes out. A dirty boot comes up, pushing his chest away from the sharp metal. Your eyes stare at the blood dripping down into the dirt, slowly trailing to Steve. There’s a dirty footprint from the boot and blood trailing down his stomach.
Your eyes finally snap up, staring at the masked man. You turn and start to run, your boots rubbing at the tender skin of your ankle.
You glance back checking over your shoulder, hair sticking to your chin. You scream when you bump into something, hands gripping your shoulders.
“Hey! It’s okay! You’re okay!”
You stare up at the man, letting out a shuddering breath, tears mixing in with the rain. “He- Their all dead! He killed them!” You sob, eyes finally landing on Eddie laying on the ground by the van.
He was going to leave you all.
“Who? Who was it?”
Your hand comes up and rests on your forehead as you squeeze your eyes shut. “I-I don’t know! He had a mask on!”
Hopper nods, patting your shoulder as he turns to Callahan. “Let’s go check. Call for backup,” He turns to you. “Stay here.” He pulls his gun from his holster. You nod, turning and watching as he steps into the camp ground, guns and flashlights pointed straight in front of him.
“Chief! Watch-” It was too late. Three gunshots ring out, echoing through the woods, another round being released.
You shake your head, turning and running as far as you could, checking behind your shoulder to be sure you were alone.
⛏️
Thighs and quads burning, hours pass, the sun was slowly raising, rain still down pouring and soaking through your clothes - the material sticking to your skin.
You wanted to scream.
You were alone.
Your friends were dead.
You walk along the side of the main road, eyes squinted, arms crossed, as you stare at the raising sun in the horizon.
‘NO PLACE TO HIDE.’

No but like… Billy taking care of you when you’re sick
Pairing: Billy Hargrove x Reader
Summary: Billy shows you a sensitive side you’ve never seen before.
Format: Drabble
A/N: I have Covid rn and this is all I want so here’s a drabble about it. Reader has no specifications so can be read as any gender.
Tumblr media
The empty glass of water on your nightstand stared back at you mockingly. You had no energy to get up and fetch some more. Your muscles ached lying on your side in the foetal position but still, you were too groggy to move. Everyone in your house was either at school or at work so they couldn’t attend to you in your time of need.
A sudden rustling and banging sound came from outside your window, dragging you from the depths of self-pity. Immediately you sat up with a pounding in your chest, terrified about what dangers lurked outside your window that you were inevitably too weak to fight. You squeezed your eyes shut in anticipation of certain doom.
“Ah! Fuck!” The intruder shouted as they bundled in the window. Your eyes flew open at the familiar voice and your hand clasped to your mouth to stifle a giggle.
Sprawled across your bedroom floor, was one Billy Hargrove.
“Billy, what the fuck are you doing?” You asked with an eyebrow raised as he scrambled to his feet and flashed you his signature cheeky grin.
“Saw you were cutting but your friends were at school, figured it was an invitation.” He smirked, chewing some gum cheekily and swaggering over to your bed.
Your heart sank that this was the first place his mind went to. Whilst you had only been dating for a couple of months, you were starting to think that Billy was only in this for one thing. He was going to be sorely disappointed today.
“I’m not cutting, Billy. I’m sick.” You sighed and slumped back into your foetal position, pulling the covers up to your chin.
Billy frowned and for the first time since he’d gotten there, he took in your frail form. Your eyes had sunken in and your skin appeared waxy. You let out a couple of painful sounding coughs which took him aback.
“Shit, I’m sorry, Angel.” He said, pressing the back of his hand to your forehead. “You’re really warm”
“Yeah, I think I’ve got a fever. So, if you want to have sex then not today, Sunshine.” You groaned, rolling over to face the wall.
Billy shook his head and sat down properly on your bed next to you. “What do you need?”
The question made you blink a couple of times in disbelief. A part of you thought it was some sort of silly joke and that you’d turn round to him already crawling out of the window.
Instead, when you turned round, he was pulling his leather jacket off and folding it over the chair that sat at your desk. His usual cheeky smile had softened into a genuine and inviting one as he stood reporting for duty. Your state of neglect had put you in no position to dismiss him.
“Um… more water?” You croaked with uncertainty. Billy nodded and walked round to your nightstand, picking up the empty glass that had been torturing you for the best part of an hour.
“Anything else?” He asked, giving you a sympathetic look.
“Some food. I’ve not eaten today.” You admitted, clutching on to your sheets feeling vulnerable around Billy’s uncharacteristic tenderness.
“Got it.” He replied shortly and left your room.
At this point you were certain that you were having a fever dream and soon you’d wake up to the empty glass of water taunting you again. Billy was a complete charmer and flirt. He had the ability to make you feel like you were the only person in the world without actually putting too much effort in. His strong points were the smoothing talking and flashy  dates before taking you to an abandoned parking lot and having sex in the back of the car.
Opening up about feelings, spending time with your family, taking care of you when you were sick were all things you hadn’t considered him capable of, up until now.
He returned to your room and presented you with a full glass of water and a haphazardly cut sandwich. You carefully sat up and took the plate from him, giving him a light smile as you nibbled at your food.
“It’s the only thing I really know how to make.” He explained nervously. “Usually while my dad and Susan are out, I order a pizza or Max makes something for herself.”
“It’s nice, Billy, thanks.” You replied and he couldn’t help but feel proud of himself.
He sat down on the bed next to you, kicking his shoes off with a clear intention of staying. You paused your eating and looked at him inquisitively: “you don’t have to sit with me, you know.”
“Well, I want to.” He grinned and planted his palms on your mattress, pushing himself back to sit against the headboard next to you.
“You gonna be my nurse or something?” You laughed, resting your head on his shoulder and wrapping your arm round his.
“Hey, get the idea of me in a little nurse’s outfit out of your filthy little head.” He chuckled. “I think I’d look good in the stockings though.”
“You’d look very hot, babe.” You smirked and snuggled into him more.
“Do you need anything else?” Billy offered, tracing his fingertips along your arm soothingly. “I can run you a bath?”
“Sure.” You agreed, looking up at him with a grateful expression. “Thanks for taking care of me today.”
“No problem, Angel.” He kissed your temple. “But I wouldn’t do this for just anyone, you know?”
Again, with his incredible ability to make you feel like the only person in the world. You attempted to hide the smug smile on your face as you kissed his cheek. “I know, sweetheart. Don't worry, you're still Hawkins' resident bad boy.”
"Damn straight."

Prompt: "Shut up, you know I'm literally obsessed with you"
Billy Hargrove x Fem Reader
(Billy maybe a little OC) May have some misspelling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It all started with a simple question "You free Saturday at 1?". Such a simple question right? What could possibly happen when your boyfriend of 6 months, Billy Hargrove, asks if you're free Saturday afternoon. Well lets start from the beginning right after your shift at the record store...
The chime of the bell at the front door gains your attention, putting on your customer service smile and voice. "Hello welcome to- and it's just you." Your voice going somewhat flat after seeing it was your boyfriend and not a customer.
"Wow, do you welcome all your favorite customers like that?" Billy grinned at you.
"What do you want?" You said to him, "You know I don't get off till 6:45." You lean your body over the counter and crossing your arms under your chest to be closer to Billy. Billy, having the same grin on his face that he walked in with, does the same motion as you. In a result your noses almost touching. You giggle at his antics.
"Well. I was wondering if you were free Saturday at 1?" Billy asked.
"Why?"
"Cause your pretty and I wanna take you out" Billy said like that was reason enough.
"Why?" Now you got playful.
"Cause it's a surprise." Billy said.
"Why?"
"Can you go Saturday or not?" He laughed.
"Yes I can go Billy, I would love to." You smiled. Billy leaned forward an gave you a smooch on your lips. You giggled into the kiss as he parted ways from your lips.
"Okay, Saturday at 1. Just look pretty like you always do." He said making his way out of the store. Now you get to be giddy till this Saturday when your date is.
Saturday, current time-12:55
You have been meticulously been putting yourself together for you date. Your make had warm tones and put delicately onto your face to enhance your already pretty features. Your outfit was put together perfectly in the case of being outside, going to a cute restaurant, or the need for back seat action for after.
You stared at the clock on your bedside as the hour changed to 1:00. At that moment the doorbell rung through the house. You jump up from your bed and down your stairs to the door, running past your mom to the door to open it.
"I got it!" You yelled.
"Alright, honey." Your mom laughed. You opened the door to see your dashing boyfriend. With his usual unbuttoned shirt that showed off his chest and jeans that fit him right. Billy smiled when he saw you.
"Hello gorgeous."
"Hey handsome." You said to Billy. "Bye mom!" You shouted to your mom as you shut the door leaving. Making your way to Billy's car, he opened the door for you to get in.
"Wow, doing all the stops are we." You joked.
"Just get in sweetheart." Which you did. Then Billy got into the drivers seat. And the date has begun. The short drive you thought that was going to be taken turned into a two hour drive to Indianapolis. You started looking out to all the tall buildings, "Billy what are we doing?" You asked as you still looked out at the city.
"Don't worry pretty girl, I know what I'm doing." Was all Billy answered with. It was another twenty minutes till Billy parked that car in a parking garage. He took my hand. We walked for what felt like five minutes; we then arrived to a familiar building, 'well at least for me.'
"Billy, why are we at the International Indianapolis Museum?" You looked to him. Billy just smiled to you.
"Because your super amazing boyfriend got two tickets for the limited time art expedition for his sweet girlfriend that he loves." He said, flashing two tickets to you. You stared wide eyed at him, mouth gaped an all. You've been talking his ear off about the exposition. Painting from not only the British museum is here but the Louve as well, only for two weeks here in Indianapolis. You couldn't afford ticket so you thought it was out the window. But some how your boyfriend got you tickets.
"You got us tickets." You said.
"Yep."
To go to a museum?"
"Yes I did."
"But you hate museums?!" You are flabbergasted by this.
"Yes, but I love you." Billy smiled, " I'm gonna have ten hour shifts for a while but it's worth it." Putting his hands on your waist pulling you closer to him. Your chests meet: Billy is just smiling down to you.
"But-" You were cut off.
"Shut up, I'm literally obsessed with you." Billy stated, holding you close. "You are the only girl I wanna be with, and the only girl that stand my bullshit." You laughed at him hugging him close to you.
"Okay, let's go in lover boy." You both made your way to the front, Billy giving the tickets to the man in the booth. With the transaction down with you made your way in.
The colors blasted into your face. Never letting Billy's hand go, dragging him from one painting to another. Whispering small notes and facts about each painting to him. Billy letting you do it with a smile on his face. You and Billy made it to a hall of art pieces. They were gorgeous. The pinks were bright, the purples, the yellows... the red. Everything was perfect. Faint classical music played in the back. What also surprised you was what small number of people were here. Well it was the last day of the expo, so it made since. You and Billy did kinda stick out a bit; being that you guys weren't as well dressed as the others. Nothing mattered though. You were with Billy holding his hand the entire time, no one else existing to either of you. In front of you, for real life, was The Kiss by Gustav Klim. You just stared ahead at the piece, unknown to you was that Billy was staring at you.
"Isn't she beautiful." You simply said.
"Yeah, you are." Billy answered. You look to him with wide eyes; a smiled then forms on your face. You realize that it was only you and Billy in the exhibit room now. You felt Billy lean back a bit dragging you with him, taking your other hand within his.
"Okay do it." He said with no context.
"What?" You asked.
"Really." He laughed, "You dance on my feet, now do it I find it cute."
"Okay bossy." In your doc martins you step onto his motorcycle boots, even on his feet you were still kinda on your tiptoes. You both gently swaying to the music that played over head. Nothing mattered to either of you except for right now. The light were dim but you both could still see each other. Your hand in his the other on his shoulder; with his hand also in yours as for the other is on your hip. Billy guided you both across the floor of the museum following the melody. You both just stared at each other, lovingly. Billy leaned toward you kissing your cheek softly then moving to your lips. This wasn't your first kiss with Billy, obviously, but this was one your few kisses like this. Nothing but soft. passion that you hold for each other. Your kiss felt like the universe was yours, nothing else could ruin this. Billy separated from the kiss.
"I love you." He said sweetly.
"I love you too." You smiled. Stepping of his boots, locking your hand with his and continuing you way through the museum. After a few more expo rooms and a few sculpture pieces, you and Billy made your way outside. Billy's watch reading 5:30.
"So what are we doing now?" You asked.
"We, my sweet girl, are going to the best restaurant in all of Indianapolis." Billy stated walking with you in hand down the street.
"Really?" You were shocked.
"Yeah we're going to Burger King." You laughed at his response. "Hey we are on a budget from the point out." He joked back at you.
"Alright, whatever you say lover boy." You wrap yourself around his arm and continue your prefect night with you perfect boyfriend. Laughing and kissing the night away.
One of Six
     Summary: Reader finds out some pretty big news before the final battle against Vecna. Breaking the news to anyone is going to be challenging, how will everyone take it? How will Steve in particular take it? (conversation between Steve & Nancy but between Steve & Y/N instead)
  Warnings: mentions of sort of teen pregnancy/ fluff & angst/ mentions of violence/ cussing/ mentions of marriage
  Word Count: 1931
*NOT MY GIF*
Tumblr media
   “No! No! Shit! Fucking,” you swore, trying to keep quiet in the bathroom of the stolen trailer while all of your friends stood just feet outside of it.
  “Y/N?” a soft knock on the door, the voice belonging to your best friend, “You alright in there?”
  You cracked the door open slightly, “I need you to come in here but be discreet.”
  Robin raised her eyebrow slightly, “Everything ok?” she asked as she entered the bathroom, “God, it’s so cramped in here. Why can’t we just go back out there?”
  You stopped her as she tried to reach for the doorknob, “Because I don’t want anyone else to hear what I’m about to tell you.”
  “You’re not possessed too, are you?” Robin’s voice thick with worry.
  “Hell no. Thank God, I can’t imagine what Max is going through right now,” you answered.
  “Then what is it? Something happen between you and Steve? Because, honestly, right now a couple fight about who didn’t do the dishes or you stealing his hair spray isn’t all that important, meaning no offense-”
   “I’m pregnant.”
   Robin’s rambling came to a screeching halt, “What?”
     You sighed heavily before handing over the pregnancy test that presented quite possibly the brightest little plus sign you’d ever seen.
   “Holy shit,” she muttered, “Holy shit!”
   Your hand slapped over her mouth, “Robin!” you lowered your own voice, “What part of ‘I don’t want anyone else to hear’ wasn’t clear to you?”
  “Sorry,” her apology muffled by your hand.
  You pulled away, “What the hell am I gonna do, Robin? This couldn’t have come at the worst possible fucking time. I mean Max might die, who am I kidding? We all might die and what is Steve gonna say?” you sniffled a bit, the tears pooling your eyes, “We just turned 20, I mean he works at a video store and I work at the school paper with Nancy. We are not ready for a goddamn baby. Fucking-”
  “Y/N,” Robin cut you off this time, “We all understand that there’s a lot going on right now, really. But you have to tell at least Steve. Look, he’s a dingus and all but the guy is a real softy. I mean complete goo,” you chuckled a bit as you wiped your tears, “And he is literal silly putty in your hands. Whatever you choose, he’s gonna be there for you. And if for some reason he’s not, I’ll knock some sense into him.”
  You sniffled again, “Thanks, Robin,” you pulled her in for a hug, “You’re the best.”
  “I know,” she sighed, you pinched her arm playfully, “Joking. I’m always gonna be here for you, Y/N.” You both held one another for a moment, “Now can we please get out of this closet of a bathroom? I’m getting a little claustrophobic.”
  The two of you laughed, you stuck the pregnancy test into your pocket before you followed Robin out of the bathroom.
  “Everything ok?” Nancy asked as she was the first to take note of the two of you returning.
  “Yeah, just jitters or whatever,” Robin answered for the both of you.
  “Oh ok,” Nancy smiled, “I think Steve was asking for you, Y/N.”
  “Thanks, Nance,” you nodded before making your way to the front of the stolen trailer.
  Steve took note of your presence as you sat in the passenger seat, “There’s my girl. Everything alright?”
  “Yeah, just was talking to Robin about some girl stuff,” you answered, buckling yourself in, “So, how’s it handle?”
  “Not so bad. Considering that this is a house,” he answered, you chuckled in agreeance. “Yeah, it’s silly I’ve actually..um..” he sort of hesitated for a moment, “I always had this dream that I’d have this really big family. I’m talking like a full brood of Harringtons. Like five, six kids.”
  “Six?” you raised a brow, laughing slightly.
  “Yeah. Six little nuggets. Three girls, three boys,” Steve continued, “And every summer, I figured all of us Harringtons, we would pack into something like this and just see the country.” Your eyes soft as you listened to him, “You know, the Rockies, Grand Canyon, maybe Yellowstone. End up in some beachside town in California. Spend a week parked in the sand. Learn how to surf or something.”
  “That sounds nice,” a slight relief in your voice that you tried hard not to make obvious.
  “Yeah?” he questioned, there was a hidden need for reassurance in his voice.
  Your smile tender, “Yeah.” Both of your eyes soft before you shook your head, “Well, uh, except for the six-kid part. That sounds like a total nightmare.”
  “If only I had some practice,” he gestured to the back of the trailer.
  You nodded, “All right. Fair. That’s fair.”
  You should’ve been relieved by Steve’s words, that you might make his dreams come true. But just because he had this realization didn’t necessarily mean he wanted that right now or anytime soon. Hence, why you were iterating all of those thoughts to Robin as you trekked through the woods of the Upside Down along with Nancy and Steve who were trailing just a bit behind the two of you.
  “If I had gotten pregnant at a better time then maybe I’d be a bit more relieved. But look at us Robin, we are using a 15-year-old girl as bait and hiking through the Hell version of Hawkins!”
  “You’re pregnant?” a voice came from behind the two of you. You turned to see Nancy, her eyes wide as she looked at you.
  “Maybe we shouldn’t have been talking so loud,” Robin bit her inner cheek.
  You marched up to her and kept your volume low, “Nancy, where’s Steve?”
  “He went to go pee really fast so I said I’d catch up to you guys. But back to my question, you’re pregnant, Y/N?”
  You let out a heavy sigh, “Yeah, Nance. I’m pregnant.”
  “Oh my God. Does Steve know?”
  “No, and you have to swear not to tell him or anyone else. This is the least of our problems right now,” you explained.
  “Y/N, it is a pretty big fucking problem. I mean you shouldn’t be here, you should be somewhere safe and not in the Upside Down!” Nancy lectured.
  “Nance, I was not going to let any of you do this on your own. The safest place for me is with you guys. Besides, too many questions would have been asked if I backed out randomly.”
  “Wait is this what you guys were dealing with in the bathroom of the trailer?”
  “Yup,” Robin answered, “She went and stole a pregnancy test while we were in the army surplus store.”
  “Oh my God. I mean, what now? Should we-”
  “Am I interrupting girl time?” Steve’s voice cut off the conversation. You all straightened up, guilt-ridden faces. “Or gossip time,” he glared, “Why do you all look so suspicious?”
  All of you recomposed yourself, “What’re you talking about, dingus?”
  “Yeah, shouldn’t we get going? We’re running out of time,” Nancy urged us on before she and Robin sped off, leaving you and Steve.
  “Well that was weird,” Steve noted.
  You attempted to shrug it off, “Not like anything is normal right now.”
  “You could say that again,” Steve chuckled as you both followed suit.
  There was an unusual silence between the two of you. Usually in a situation like this, as if anything was comparable to it, the two of you would try your best to keep one another’s spirits up.
  Steve took note of it too, “Is everything ok, Y/N? I mean I know we’re heading into a literal death trap but you still seem uneasy. What’s going on?”
  You tried to push past it, “What’re you talking about? Everything is fine.”
  Steve stopped the two of you, “Look, I know you and I know when everything is really fine and it’s clearly not. Plus you’ve been sneaking around talking to the girls all day. I wanna know what’s going on.”
  “Nothing is going on, Steve. You’re being ridiculous-”
  “Ridiculous? No, what’s ridiculous, Y/N, is me feeling like I can confide in you when you obviously don’t feel the same way.” Nancy and Robin were now completely out of earshot, “Do you not trust me?”
  “What?” you took note of the pain in his tone, “Of course I trust you, Steve,” you took his hand.
  “Then tell me what’s really going on with you. Please.”
  You let out a shaky sigh, “Fine.” you turned to look at Robin and Nancy who tried to give you reassuring looks, “I’m pregnant, Steve. I didn’t get a period last month so while you guys were getting supplies, I got a pregnancy test from the pharmacy next door. So that’s what’s really going on with me. And I didn’t want to tell you or anyone for that matter because it should be the least of all of our problems and I didn’t want to give you another reason to be worried or upset. Which you have every right to be with me and I’m sorry I’m doing this to you-”
  Before you knew it your rambling was cut off by Steve’s lips on yours followed by a loving embrace, “It’s alright,” his voice stuff as he stroked over your hair.
  “I-I’m so sorry, Steve-”
  He pulled you back, holding your face in his hands, “Look at me,” your teary eyes hesitantly lifted from the floor, “Remember the dream I told you about?” You just looked up at him, “About the Winnebago. About seeing the country with my six lil’ nuggets?”
  You smiled a bit, nodding as you recalled the sweet moment, “Yeah, I do.”
  He nodded, “It’s all true. Every last word.” A small moment passed, “But I left one part out. It’s the most important part. You’re there.” A tear fell from your eye, “You’ve always been there.”
  “Steve,” your voice trembling.
  “And if, no, when we live through this, I want it to start right away. I want that life with you or whatever life we might have. I just want you, Y/N.”
  A soft smile spread over your face, “I want that too. I want you, Steve.”
 “I love you,” he smiled.
 “I love you too,” he pulled your face in for a soft kiss but it was one of the most meaningful ones the two of you had ever exchanged.
 “Though we might have to talk about that whole six-kid thing. Don’t know if I can handle that stress all over again,” you teased.
  “We’ll cross that bridge when we get there. For now, we can just say one of six? Keep our options open.”
  You laughed, “Sure, Harrington. We’ll keep our options open.” Steve moved in for another kiss.
  “Guys!” Robin’s voice pulled you from the moment, “We found- oh shit. Are we interrupting something?”
 “Sort of,” you chuckled.
 “Not sort of, totally and completely,” Steve rolled his eyes.
 “You told him I take it?” Nancy smirked. You nodded as Steve intertwined your fingers.
 “How’s it feel that you’re gonna be someone’s old man, dingus?” Robin teased, “That poor kid.”
  “Well, they’ll have Y/N and us so they just might make it,” Nancy smiled.
  “That’s fair,” Robin laughed, “Now come on Mom and Dad. We’ve got something to show you.”
  The two gave you both genuine smiles before turning and leading you off.
 “Mom and Dad,” Steve repeated, “I really like the sound of that.”
  “Oh really?” you smiled.
  “Almost as much as I like the sound of Mr. and Mrs. Harrington.”
Wanna be with you everywhere
Tumblr media
Surrounded by your earthly possessions, boxes upon boxes stacked and looming over you in your new home, you don’t know where to start. Steve reminds you that the most important thing is right in front of you (and has a box of his own for you to open).
Word Count: 2.7k
Content / Warnings: This is fairly tame and sweet. Reader is overtired and overwhelmed, but other than that - total fluff. Moving in together, a brief sex mention, Steve being romantic and totally down bad for reader. Maybe a big question is on the cards, idk.
Reader is referred to with one gendered honourific. (No spoilers…👀) I have tried to leave physical descriptions as neutral and inclusive as possible 🧡
If you are not 18+ please do press the back button
Author’s Note: Once again, soft Steve Harrington has invaded my brain. This is pretty short and sweet. Oh to feel safe and loved in his big beefy arms, amirite?
I hope you enjoy! Thank you for the love on Clean Slate & Pinch Me recently - it means a lot!!! Once again I had way too much fun on Canva... Let me know what you think / if you catch any typos!
Please do not do any AI fuckery with my work or repost on other sites.
Boxes. Heavy, full and labelled with a blocky scrawl. They are everywhere, stacked by the coffee table you had thrifted, the big squishy armchair for you to read in. You haven’t seen so many since your high school weekend job filling shelves and scanning groceries and wearing your customer service smile until your cheeks ached.
The smell of fresh paint and cardboard combined with the dry feeling that the boxes left on your hands makes you want to peel your skin off. You look around the room with your hands pressing into the small of your back while you stack more tasks on your mental to-do list. The room was empty a few hours ago, a total blank canvas.
The floor calls, grounding you.
With a sigh that pulls from the tips of your toes, you lie back against the cool wood and stretch your arms out by your sides. This is where the couch will go when it arrives. You close your eyes and feel the all-over ache from packing, carrying and lifting. Before the carrying and lifting was days of packing and organising.
That’s when it dawns on you - you still need to unpack them all.
Tears push themselves up and you feel your ugly-cry face break the dazed-but-happy expression you had been wearing all day. All you want is a hot shower and your comfy new bed. And -
“Hey.”
Steve.
Your dry hands cover your face, swiping your wet cheeks as your boyfriend closes the door - the door to your first apartment together - and navigates his way around the boxes to get to you. His presence cuts short your catastrophising.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” he asks, sounding almost panicked. “Do you hate it? I know the paint dried a little darker than we thought, but we can redo it. It’ll be okay.” Steve is quick to join you on the floor, lying on his side by you with one arm wrapped over your shaking body. “Babe…”
When you move your hands to look at Steve’s concerned face, you see that he looks as tired as you feel. Despite that, he’s still the most gorgeous person you have ever seen. His hair is crushed under a backwards baseball cap and there’s pizza sauce on his tshirt. His deodorant and aftershave has long worn off but you let him hold you, lying half on top of him on the floor, not ready or able to speak yet. Big hard-working hands sweep soothingly up and down your back. Steve’s good at that, letting you just cry it out, holding you steady and safe when you need to weep. He always seems to know what you need; a distraction or silence, gentle words or just the steady thud of his heart against your ear.
Despite the sweat and dust, Steve presses kisses to your forehead as you slowly settle. The fact that he’s so handsome and nice to you makes you sob shakily one more time.
“Just breathe, you’re okay.”
Steve is calm, but you know that inside that he’s wracking his brains to get to the bottom of why the love of his life was crying in the middle of their brand new apartment while he was waving off the friends who had helped you move. Had he said something stupid, was the paint really that ugly… Steve didn’t let his mind even go near the idea that you might be second guessing moving in together.
When he sees you peering up at him, his heart beats double time like it always does when you look at him. His attention is back on you now, out of his own head. You can see the cogs turning in his head and feel worse for making him worry about you, feel insecure or like he was the reason for your tears.
“Hi,” you whisper. “Sorry. Overwhelmed.”
“Don’t say sorry, honey. It’s okay.”
You rest your cheek on his chest again. His tshirt is stained wet from your tears now too but Steve doesn’t care.
You lie together on the floor, both aching and bone tired. From somewhere, you summon the energy to  squeeze Steve as tight as possible, needing him to know how much you adore him. He makes a small happy noise before returning the squish.
“We’re here,” you murmur against his chest, before you free each other to lie side by side in the golden glow coming from the big un-curtained windows.
“Here we are. Welcome home, baby,” Steve says, turning his head to look at you again. He covers your hand and stroked his thumb over your racing pulse. “What’s going on in that big juicy brain of yours, huh?”
“Ew.” You laugh, wincing when your body reminds you that it has clocked out for the day, and meet Steve’s gaze. “All the boxes freaked me out. We still need to unpack everything, and the couch won’t fit if we don’t get some of them out of here -” Your voice shakes and catches and you make yourself take one slow deep breath. Steve squeezes you once, no rush. “I’m just so fucking tired, Stevie.”
Steve gives you a little smile. “I bet. You’ve been running the show today, making sure everything is perfect.” Steve had been up before you, excited to get going, and had spent the day lugging boxes with Eddie, never letting you take the heavy ones. You had caught yourself staring at how his biceps bulged deliciously a couple of times - Steve had caught you too and made sure to come give you some kisses when his hands were free. And he had checked in with you, not wanting you to get too caught up in making everything perfect or taking on too much of the responsibility - you were just better organised than him. The brains to his brawn, though he knew you didn’t like when he thought like that.
He sits up, then stands, groaning like a man older than his twenty-odd years. He holds out his hands to help you up, and he puts his arms around you once you’re upright.
“Everything’s where it needs to be. You and Nance had that list. Everything’s all colour coded.” You had both been armed with coloured markers and sticky notes to make sure the boxes were in the right rooms. “What’s the word? It’s meticulous, baby.” You can hear a smile in Steve’s low soft voice; he’s proud of himself for remembering and of you, for everything. It helps ease the tension bunched in your shoulders.
He kisses your head with a fierce amount of love. “It doesn’t need to be perfect right away okay? We’re in this together and we’ll figure it out. All that matters is you and me, yeah? You and me in our first place together. S’already perfect for me.”
Your heart hurts with how much love it holds for Steve Harrington. He’s right; all that matters is the two of you, boxes of bed sheets and belongings be damned.
Steve starts a slow sway, his fingers tucked into the belt loops on the back of your old jeans as you settle your hands on the base of his neck. He hums a song you both loved, one that had come on the radio in a moment of pure fate when you started the short drive from his old place to your new one together.
I want to be with you everywhere…
The smile Steve had graced upon you then was like pure gold and you turned the volume up loud, rolling down the windows as you sang together.
Now you feel his smile, wide and lovely, against your temple and peel back to look up at his face. “What’s the smile for, handsome?”
“M’happy.” You see that boyish twinkle in his eyes, and when he smiles Steve looks so innocently happy, the little boy who had to grow up too quickly. You press up on your toes, ignoring the burn in your feet to lessen the gap between you. He is quick to meet you halfway and accepts the kiss you land on his smiling mouth. Steve’s joy is contagious and he is as generous sharing it with you as he is with his kisses.
“I’m happy too, promise.” Foreheads pressed together, you close your eyes and let the calm feeling wash over you as Steve starts the sway again. You’re pressed together, head to toe.
“S’okay if you’re not. You don’t have to say you are if you feel shitty.” Steve’s voice tickles your cheek and he chases it with a kiss there.
“I am. We’re going to be so happy here, Steve. I love this place.” You feel the truth of your words deep in your bones, beyond your aches and pains. “Love you.”
Your words make his heart zing. “Love you more,” he whispers, nudging your nose with his own as he kisses his way back to your lips. “M’happy with you wherever we are, I just want to be with you.”
As you hold each other, swaying in the setting sunlight, you let the thought of unpacking shrink and enjoy the moment, calmness washing over you like a balm. Over the next few weeks and days you and Steve will place your things side by side, hang up pictures and clothes and fill the blank canvas. You’ll try the diner down the block for breakfast in the morning as a treat, and do your first grocery shop together. You have already promised each other that you’ll have sex in every room to christen the place (Steve’s idea, you loved it) and in a week or two you’ll invite your friends around for a party. You’ll make up the spare room for when the kids who aren’t kids anymore come to visit. There’s no rush, you have the rest of your lives to feather your nest together, find a bigger one when you’re ready.
You breathe him in, finding that scent that is simply Steve behind the fresh paint and sweat and the lingering smell of the pizza you shared with your best friends to say thank you for their help - the first party of many in your home together.
Steve presses his love into you with his kisses and stroking hands, thinking of the only box that matters to him; a small ring-box housing soft gold and sparkling jewels that reminded him of you. It’s not in any of the cardboard towers, or the overnight bags with the basics for your first night and morning. The little green velvet box sits heavy in his back pocket, plucked from the Beemers glove compartment while he was waving Eddie and the girls off (all of them had whispered their good luck while they hugged Steve fiercely tight).
Seeing you in tears made him second guess his timing, but as he sways with you now he couldn’t be more sure that you’re the one he wants to marry.
“Hey. Lemme take a picture of us,” he whispers, “The disposable still has a few shots left on it. Stay there.”
“Steve I look so gross,” you whine - but you have to admit it’s a sweet suggestion. His lips meet yours and he pecks the pout away.
“You’re beautiful,” he says in a murmur against your lips. “We can show our grandkids someday. You’n me, young and cool in our first place together.”
Steve’s heart beats double time at your grin and he makes your nose scrunch up when he dots kisses all over your face. “Wait there. The light is..” He kisses his own fingers with an over exaggerated ‘mwah’.
He leaves you laughing as he dodges boxes on the way to quadruple check the ring and fetch the camera.
You had both been snapping pictures all day, pictures that would end up in a photo album with little annotations of the date and who was in each shot; Steve & Robin hugging outside their apartment before hopping in the moving van, Eddie in an Iron Maiden tee with the sleeves cut off sticking his tongue out as he carried a box under one arm, you and Nancy deep in conversation on the sidewalk, you and Steve stealing a kiss in the empty kitchen (Nancy was stealthy with that one). There were three clicks left.
When Steve arrives back you’re poking through a box of books and thinking about how you’re going to stack them on the shelves (which will be dropped off tomorrow). Your smile when you see him lights up the room already glowing with the setting sun. You both think ‘how’d I ever get this lucky’ and find your way to each other, sharing another kiss before getting your picture taken.
Steve stands in front of the windows, tucking you under his arm as you both make the most of the golden light illuminating your tired smiling faces. After the click, he rolls the film on.
His heart beats hard and quick with anticipation, but he’s not nervous - he has never been so sure of a decision in his entire life. You are the one; his one.
Steve places the camera on the windowsill before taking your hands. “You’re the love of my life y’know?”
You look up and nod, squeezing his hands. “Mhm. And you’re mine. I love you so much I could scream.” You mean it too, thinking about how you could open up the window right now and shout to the city that you love Steve Michael Harrington.
He presses a single soft kiss to your forehead. “The best day of my life was the day you smiled at me in that little dive bar, baby. Ever since then, I knew I was a goner.” He brushes his thumb over the back of your hand. “I don’t ever want anyone else. Waking up next to you every day, and going to sleep with you every night... I feel like I’m dreamin’ sometimes. Like, how’d I get this lucky?” Steve squeezes your hands three times ‘I love you’. “You’re my love, my best friend.”
Your face hurts from smiling, about to quip that you promise not to tell Robin or Eddie, but instead you see Steve lowering himself down onto the floorboards - dropped down on one knee.
For a moment your mind goes blank until you see that little green velvet box, which he flicks open to show you the ring inside.
Steve says your name so quietly as he gazes up at you, “Will you marry me?”
All capacity for speech evades you. Your focus is all on Steve, barely comprehending the gorgeous ring winking at you in his hands. Every cell of your body is screaming S T E V E. You manage to nod as more tears press and push up and spill down your cheeks.
You let him take your hand to slide the ring on. A perfect fit. If you could think straight you would remember one of your favourite rings going missing for a week a while back - the culprit kneeling in front of you.
You pull him up this time, crushing your body to his as you babble ‘yes!’ a thousand times, even as he kisses you with his own wet cheeks pressing to yours.
Everything feels soft around the edges, luminous and dreamlike, as you see Steve and his smile and his love for you in bright high definition. You take his face in your hands - the left one ever so slightly heavier now - and you bring your faces together.
“Hi Future Mrs Harrington,” he whispers, each syllable filled with an almost-giggly bubbling joy.
“Hi Mr Harrington,” you whisper back, feeling his hands squeezing your hips. You kiss him again, smiling too much to make it last pass a few slow romantic pecks and you’re just holding each other, glowing.
In that moment everything is perfect, your previous sense of total overwhelm replaced by utter joy. Tired and still a little sweaty, dust on your jeans and your hair coming undone, you’re still the most beautiful creature Steve Harrington has ever laid eyes on - even more so now with the promise on your hand.
Steve reaches out to take up the camera again. “Still got two more. Engagement pic for the grandkids?” he asks, and you practically squeal with delight when you realise he had it all planned.
As he angles the camera in front of you both, hoping the light is still okay and that he’s not chopping off his own head, you hold your ring up to make sure it’s in frame. That picture, and the next one of you two sharing a kiss with diamonds glimmering in the dipping sunlight, will take pride of place in that little album of the day you moved in together, the day Steve Harrington asked you to marry him.
