How BTS would be as Boyfriends
RM (Namjoon): As a boyfriend, Namjoon would be your rock. He'd listen intently to your thoughts and feelings, always offering wise advice when you need it. With his deep intellect, he'd engage you in stimulating conversations about life, philosophy, and your shared interests. He'd be your biggest supporter, encouraging you to chase your dreams and explore new horizons together. Plus, his romantic gestures would often involve heartfelt letters or late-night walks under the moonlight, where he'd share his innermost thoughts with you.
Jin (Seokjin): Jin would be the epitome of a caring and attentive boyfriend. He'd pamper you with homemade meals and endless compliments, making sure you feel loved and appreciated every day. With his witty humor, he'd keep the relationship light-hearted and fun, always finding ways to make you smile. Jin would also be incredibly romantic, planning surprise date nights and showering you with thoughtful gifts that show how much he cares. And when you're feeling down, he'd be there with his comforting embrace and a warm bowl of soup.
Suga (Yoongi): Yoongi would be the mysterious and enigmatic boyfriend who surprises you with his depth and sensitivity. While he may seem reserved at first, he'd open up to you in quiet moments, sharing his innermost thoughts and feelings. As a partner, he'd respect your independence and support your ambitions, understanding the importance of space and freedom in a relationship. Yoongi's love language would often be expressed through his music, with heartfelt lyrics that resonate with your soul, and he'd cherish the simple moments spent together, whether it's cuddling on the couch or watching the sunset.
J-Hope (Hoseok): Hoseok would bring boundless energy and positivity into the relationship, turning every day into an adventure. He'd be your source of sunshine on cloudy days, lifting your spirits with his infectious laughter and cheerful personality. As a boyfriend, he'd be spontaneous and adventurous, always planning exciting outings and surprising you with spontaneous dance parties in the living room. Hoseok would also be incredibly caring and affectionate, showering you with hugs, kisses, and endless displays of love that leave you feeling cherished and adored.
Jimin: Jimin would be the romantic and affectionate boyfriend who wears his heart on his sleeve. He'd constantly remind you of how much you mean to him, showering you with affectionate gestures and heartfelt compliments. As a partner, he'd be incredibly attentive to your needs, always going out of his way to make you feel loved and cherished. Jimin's love language would often be expressed through physical touch, with hugs and cuddles that melt your heart. Plus, he'd be your biggest cheerleader, supporting you through thick and thin and celebrating your achievements as if they were his own.
V (Taehyung): Taehyung would be the artistic and free-spirited boyfriend who fills your life with creativity and wonder. He'd introduce you to new experiences and perspectives, encouraging you to embrace your passions and explore the world together. As a partner, he'd be incredibly expressive and romantic, writing you love letters and capturing your moments together through his photography or art. Taehyung would also be deeply empathetic, always attuned to your emotions and offering a comforting presence when you need it most. And with his playful sense of humor, he'd turn even the most mundane moments into memorable adventures.
Jungkook: Jungkook would be the devoted and dependable boyfriend who's always there for you, no matter what. He'd prioritize your happiness above all else, going out of his way to make you feel loved and appreciated every day. As a partner, he'd be incredibly loyal and supportive, standing by your side through the ups and downs of life. Jungkook would also be fiercely protective of you, always putting your needs and safety first. And while he may be the youngest, he'd show maturity beyond his years, approaching the relationship with thoughtfulness and care. Plus, his boundless energy and enthusiasm would infuse every moment with excitement and joy.

Why These Imperfect Korean ‘Moon Jars’ Sell for Millions
Old, round, imperfect and beautiful — that’s how fans of Korean art describe the moon jar, or “dalhangari.”
These unassuming, plain white pots have entranced everyone from rapper RM, of K-pop sensation BTS, to philosopher Alain de Botton.
The former director of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, Beth McKillop, has called the moon jar an “icon of Korean identity.” And if price is any indicator of popularity, one recently sold for over $4.5 million at a Christie’s auction.
This month, a rare example from the late 17th or early 18th century will go on sale at Sotheby’s in New York, where it’s expected to fetch more than $3 million.
“A large moon jar has always been expensive, but I think the big uptick in prices and value is… because their appeal is now global,” said Angela McAteer, Sotheby’s international head of Chinese art for the Americas and Europe, over video call. “You’ve got an international cohort of bidders competing for them, so it’s gone beyond the traditional connoisseur collecting community of Korean art.”
Tumblr media
Huge price tags also result from the jars’ rarity. Although made for over a century in the royal kilns of Korea’s last kingdom, the Joseon dynasty, few are thought to exist today. Estimates for the number of larger ones (those more than 40 centimeters, or 15.7 inches, tall and wide) that have survived over the years range from 12 to 30.
Having passed through auction houses and antique dealers across the world, several of these are now in the collections of institutions like the British Museum and Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, as well as in the hands of private collectors.
‘Owning a piece of happiness’
The first moon jars were created in the royal kilns in Gwangju (a city just outside Seoul, not the larger southern city of the same name) from 1650 to 1750. They were made from pure white porcelain and kaolin clay, and, following the neo-Confucian fashions of their day, the pots reflected values such as propriety, humility, frugality and purity. They were likely used at court and in upper-class homes as containers for food and liquids, or as decorative vessels.
In the mid-20th century, moon jars began gaining international appreciation thanks to influential admirers such as Japanese folk crafts scholar Yanagi Soetsu and British potter Bernard Leach, who bought one from a Seoul antique store in 1935. Leach once said that having a moon jar was like “owning a piece of happiness,” and would later give his to fellow potter Lucie Rie for safekeeping during World War II. It stayed in her studio until her death and was later acquired by the British Museum.
Charlotte Horlyck, lecturer in Korean Art History at the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies, wrote in the Art Bulletin journal that after World War II the moon jar “caught the attention of an early generation of postcolonial Korean artists and scholars who sought to restore Korean art history and national identity,” as the pieces “resonated with the visual language of international modernism and minimalism of the mid-20th century while remaining a distinctly Korean work of art.”
The moon jar’s allure
When Sotheby’s announced its forthcoming sale, the auction house described its 44-centimeter (17.3-inch) moon jar as an object that inspired, astounded and soothed those who “stand in its presence.” It’s a funny thing to say about a pot, to speak as if it’s alive, but the jars’ visceral, emotional impact on people is something that comes up time and time again in the literature.
Tumblr media
Choi Sunu, a former director of the National Museum of Korea, has described the museum’s moon jars as being like companions, or muses that have inspired his writing and stirred his creativity. Bernard Leach admired the pots for their “natural unselfconsciousness.” In 2012, South Korea’s then-Unification Minister Yu Woo-ik used the pot as a metaphor symbolizing a reunified Korean peninsula (moon jars are created in two hemispherical pieces and joined in the middle).
More recently the rapper RM, of K-pop group BTS, posted a picture of himself hugging a modern-day moon jar on Twitter, telling fans that the pots made him feel calm.
“It’s hard for someone to really comprehend how a pot can make you feel that way,” said McAteer. “It has this real meditative presence. If you’ve sat in front of a great (painting by US artist, Mark) Rothko and you feel this kind of palpable energy emanate from it, and you could sit for hours and just feel something in its presence — the moon jar has that too.”
“The more you look at it, the more there is to see. It looks different from every angle,” she added. “We had real issues with the photography and the catalog because it looks like a different piece every time you rotate it, or you change the lighting. The surface is just alive, you know.”
“You can see how the glaze coalesces; you see these spontaneous bursts of this blush color that’s happening in the firing. You can lose yourself in its surface.”
Modern masters
Modern Korean potters have been inspired by the jars, and a number have come up with their own homages. Ceramist Kim Syyong covers his pots with a black glaze, while Yun Ju Cheol’s versions look spikier like a pufferfish and Choi Bo Ram’s unvarnished, textured blue vases have a denim-like quality.
Others, like Kwon Dae Sup, have looked to closely recreate the process used by the potters of yore. The 71-year-old ceramist produces unadorned white jars and allows for all the beautiful imperfections produced to shine through. He works out of a studio in Gwangju, where the royal kilns that produced moon jars were once located.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s a great deal of preparation that goes into making a moon jar traditionally. It’s labor-intensive: washing, sifting impurities from the clay, kneading and rolling it to remove air bubbles, carrying around these large hunks, not to mention hand throwing the clay itself to that oversized bowl shape without collapsing, and the work keeping a pine wood fire burning for 24 hours while the pot hardens in the kiln. Kwon also built his own kiln to replicate the old process as closely as possible.
“I do this because it’s fun,” he said in a phone interview. “Every time I make something, it’s novel … The quality of the material is different every time. The conditions in which I make the pots is new every time.”
Kwon said he also feels an emotional connection to the moon jar. As a student he was so moved by a one he saw in a Korean antique store that he decided they would be his life’s work. “They feel alive,” he said.
In a 2019 book on his work by Axel Vervoodt Gallery the potter is quoted saying he tries to produce art that needs no addition or subtraction. “I wish to create work that has an imposing presence but harmonizes with its surroundings regardless of where and when it is displayed. It should give peace of mind and a sense of comfort to all who look at it.”

NAMJOON’S IDEAL TYPE (RM pt. 1)
~ a manifestation of his ideal girlfriend. Continuation into part 2 and part 3. Masterlist here.
Key words: kind, warm, intelligent, independent, extroverted, chic, passionate, career-oriented.
Tumblr media
Her personality:
• Unlike Jungkook and Yoongi who I would see being more open minded when it comes to their relationships, Namjoon would be quite specific with whom he chooses to date.
• A lot of depictions of Namjoon’s girlfriend type her as cold and intimidating, but I mostly disagree. He once said his celebrity crush is Blake Lively, so I see him drawn to someone warm, kindhearted, and friendly, but also self-assured and practical.
• MBTI: ESFJ or ENFJ. Natural leaders who are empathetic and compassionate.
• She would be incredibly intelligent, both from an academic and philosophical standpoint. Highly educated with a Master’s or Doctorate degree (he has repeatedly stated that a “sexy mind” is important to him).
• Well-spoken and eloquent. Independent and confident as hell.
• She could have a variety of careers; it could be prestigious such as a doctor or lawyer, but she could also do something more “subtly” influential like health policy or international affairs (or maybe even a highly successful book editor?). I could also see him with another celebrity musician/actor.
• Career-oriented, ambitious, and a hard worker. She would hold a lot of value in her job and have a deep passion for it.
• Naturally kind and humble; qualities they share due to experiences of hardships.
• While not nearly as much as him, she would make a decent amount of money. This would make her independent and self-sufficient.
• She is quite skilled at whatever she does, including her hobbies and work, due to her high work ethic.
• While kind and good with people, she would not be shy or a pushover. She wouldn’t hesitate to call people out on their bad behavior or stand up for what she believes in.
• Not unlike Namjoon, she wouldn’t want to play games in a relationship. She would be direct and have an all-or-nothing mentality.
• Her hobbies might include creative outlets such as fashion, painting, baking, or visiting museums. I think Namjoon would really enjoy someone who has an appreciation for art in some form.
• She might come off as highly flirtatious due to her friendly nature, but does not get satisfaction out of superficial relationships, nor does she like shallow people.
• High emotional intelligence.
• She might be a little impatient, which is well balanced by Namjoon’s calmness and patience.
• Values respect, equality, and kindness (aka gentleman King Kim Namjoon).
• She wouldn’t be intimidated by his fame. She would see him fully as Kim Namjoon the human rather than a celebrity.
Her looks and sexuality:
• While I don’t see Namjoon as superficial, he would undoubtedly be attracted to someone feminine and “pretty”.
• Definitely American (but any Race/Ethnicity). While this is obviously not exclusive, he seems to be very drawn to the American career-woman type. It would be nice if she also spoke Korean, but his English fluency would make it easy for them to communicate.
• She would always be well put together and have a strong understanding of fashion.
• Classic, chic style. She could prefer to wear neutrals and lots of black, but I could also see her loving pops of color and gemstone jewelry.
• Red lipstick. Probably smells nice.
• She might wear glasses at home or when she is working.
• Effortlessly sexy. We all know he is a sucker for a sexy woman.
• Somewhat modest, though. She is thin, but naturally sexy due to her slight curves and flirtatious nature.
• I do see him preferring someone very well-kempt. She might do pilates or yoga and be subtly toned. She would also have excellent hygiene.
• Long ass legs to match his own. Average to tall height without surpassing him (5’5-5’9 or 165-175 cm). She would love to wear heels nonetheless. (Height would not be a big dealbreaker at all, but I think he would really like a lengthy woman).
• She might be the same age as him or older; he would unlikely date someone too much younger unless they are as mature and wise as he is. I think he would find dating someone older than him to be super hot.
• She would either be straight or bisexual with a preference for men (I would like to think he would have no issue with this generally, although he might oversexualize it at first).
• Probably gets hit on a lot as she is quite attractive. Although she is friendly, she would not indulge men she is not interested in.
• Might have a few fine line tattoos on her arms or back that are unique and personal.
• Maybe some extra ear piercings too as she loves jewelry, but nothing extreme or out of the ordinary.
• She is an overall attractive, well-put together woman. Her confidence and intelligence may seem intimidating, but her warm and friendly aura acts as a people magnet.
• HOWEVER, Joonie is such a kind and open-minded soul that if he met someone he liked and was compatible with, I think all demographics, looks, etc. would be out the window.
• While he comes off as a little woman-crazy, at the end of the day he just wants a deep and meaningful connection with someone.

I like the sound and vibe of On the Street, and I respect and can appreciate J Cole’s writing, but I’m confused about why that was the message chosen for this collab. Army is bombarding comment sections by repeating that it’s a ‘see you later’ song because Hobi is enlisting, but other than the chorus, what about these lyrics conveys that message? Their verses feel like they belong to separate songs to me. I’m not trying to be disrespectful, facetious, condescending, or sarcastic here, I really am confused and would like to understand, and I would appreciate any insights you might be willing to share.
I did see one comment on YouTube that said: “I heard someone say they wanted a second verse from J Hope but then they realized he did give us a second verse… in his first language, dance. And he did it beautifully” and I think this is my favorite take so far. Thank you for your time (sorry if this ask is dumb).
*
Ask 2: Can you pls review On The Street BPP?
*
Ask 3: Oh Hobi T T... OH JUNG HOSEOK T T... Oh this song T T...,,, Ugh my heart! Our sunshine, thank you for this wonderful music, experience, and feelings. You got me to the finals. I hope you can watch after me today, too. lol I LOVE YOU JUNK HOSEOK. I hope you are happy. I hope your toughest struggle is something you can overcome. I hope your sweetest memories have people who truly love you to share with if you so wish. Hope the world to you J-HOPE!!!!
*
Ask 4: I don't want to be rude but "as the moon jumps over the cow"??? Wut?? Isn't J Cole supposed to be some good lyricist? I saw khh and kpop fans questioning this collab and this lyric in particular and I think they're right. BTS should stop giving khh a bad name because now people will hate kpop.
*
Ask 5: Hi BPP, a lot of people are offended over J.Cole’s verse on atheists being stupid for not believing in a higher people, which further proves to me that they take everything a person says to be something to be Personally offended over, not an honest expression of ones thoughts. And why I think a reason why so many arent listening to true hiphop, true rap, the same ones that the rap line no doubt listened to… It just symbolises to me that these same people are so used to the sanitized version of music that a lot of kpop produces too because jcole’s verse wasnt even that bad honestly… i don’t know, it just came across to me as the same reaction religious people will have when you tell them god doesn’t exist, and a lot of people wont take issue with that too. I know I don’t as someone who belives in a god same way I don’t care that jcole thinks atheists are stupid lool I don’t know im just seeing the hypocrisy and them being unable to let art be art, let music be music.
*
Ask 6: heyya bbp~!
first of all, congrats to our hobi for another great track!!! haven’t been able to stop looping it bcuz it’s that good!! not only is army loving it, i’ve also seen jcole fans saying good things too and some really checked out hobi’s discography and were impressed,,which is what i’d call a successful collab! out of curiosity i checked the khiphop reddit to read what theyre reactions are but no surprise they only praised jcole and wanted other khiphop artists to have done it instead of hobi hah! i’m surprised that they’re still as snooty towards k-idols turned rappers,,but at the same time snooty ppl be snooty lol. but i’m curious if korean khiphop fans are still turning away the rapline’s work? esp hobi since he’s really made an effort to flex his skills in jitb,,i only ever seen ifans’ opinions and they’re hardly the representative when it comes to khiphop hah!
ofc whatever they’re opinions are it doesn’t impact hobi and suga and rm’s work in the long run,,especially since they’ve earned enough respect from their idols to be able to work with them,,i’m just curious! thankss bpp!
***
These six asks more or less cover the range of questions I've been getting, so I've collated selected asks here to answer all at once. :)
Hi Anon(s),
I'll try to keep this short.
Overall and Abridged Review: On The Street for me is a solid 10/10.
The Lyrics (as I understand them)
Anon in Ask 1, first I’d like to refer you to Hobi’s interview in Variety where he talks about the song (linked here) and I’ve posted an excerpt screenshot below.
Tumblr media
*
Personally, rather than On The Street having a “see you later” message (probably inferred from Hobi waving goodbye to a kid in the opening scene), I see it more as a song marking a pivotal moment in both Hobi and Cole’s careers, as Hobi reflects on the paths he has walked to this point even as he continues on this street called life, and J. Cole wonders out loud if it’s time for a change, to grow beyond his identity as a rapper. It only feels like a “see you later” song in the sense that it will be a companion song, for me personally, while Hobi serves and until he returns from enlistment. I agree with the interpretation in the YouTube comment that Hobi is also storytelling/writing his second verse through dance while J. Cole is rapping, and that this is a beautiful way to see it too - but I’ll expound more on this below in Dance and the Message.
Anon in Ask 4, J. Cole is a brilliant lyricist and it’s funny you mentioned that line in particular because when I first heard it I nearly burst out laughing at how witty and brilliant it is. That line is an example of a classic Jermaine pun. I’ll explain: A lot of people grew up learning nursery rhymes, and one of the more popular ones I recall is Hey Diddle Diddle, which has the rhyme “the cow jumped over the moon”. This nursery rhyme is also the source of the English expression to be “over the moon” I.e. excited, elated, happy. J. Cole took that children’s rhyme and flipped it on it’s head to then mean the passage of time, “as the moon jumps over the cow”. He uses it to express time passing merrily for him as he contemplates his next career move. It’s also an absolutely brilliant way to rhyme with the previous bar that ends in “Golden Corral” (which is easily one of the sickest burns in his verse).
Anon in Ask 5, I agree with you almost fully. Outrage is the name of the game and has been the zeitgeist for at least 5 years now. Like what are you doing on the internet in 2023 if you’re not here annoyed, mocking something, being critical, and raging about something else? Even if that something is another autonomous human being expressing their opinion on God on their own song… Personally, when I come across HCP personalities online, I ignore them. If they interact with me I tell them they’ll somehow find a way to manage and cope, and we’ll all be alright in the end. In the case of this song, ignore them. They'll deal.
*
Dance and the Message (as I understand it)
Hobi's verse in this song is only 8 bars. J-hope practically gifts this song to J. Cole who spits 32 solid bars on this track. We all know J. Cole - a veteran in the rap game who has earned respect from everyone from Hov, Ye, Kendrick, down to avantgarde heavyweights like Jay Electronica - is one of Hobi's idols and so it's heartwarming to see the way Hobi expresses his respect for J. Cole, dancing underground while J. Cole raps on top of a building with nothing but the sky above him.
Tumblr media
J-Hope dances the entirety of J. Cole's verse, just feeling himself, losing himself to the music while his idol spits fire. It's so fucking decadent. At the end of J. Cole's verse, Hobi walks out of the subway and climbs to the top to meet J. Cole as equals.
Tumblr media
Hobi begins the song in an NYC alley that opens up into a main street where Hobi performs the song's main choreography on. This is the same location in J. Cole's Simba - the song that starts the Simba trilogy in J. Cole's discography, which was the first main track on J. Cole's debut mixtape The Come Up that established him as a force to be reckoned with on the American rap scene at only 22 years old. The setting alone is a callback and homage to J. Cole's beginnings, on which Hobi raps about his own path, wanting to repay those who have helped formed him into what he is, and the hope he has going forward.
Hobi has done something like this before, calling his first mixtape Hope World reminiscent of J. Cole's debut studio album called Cole World.
*
The Media and the Message (as I understand it)
One thing I absolutely adore about BTS's songs and music videos, is that they infuse them with the sort of depth that only comes from intimately knowing and respecting the subject matter, and they do so in such a subtle way that it's obvious they expect whoever is watching to actually know both the artist and the subject. They don't spoon-feed anything to the viewer, just present the art as is and if you've done your homework, that means you're their target audience and you're right in the middle of it with them. In the Variety interview I linked above, J-hope references his documentary (Anon who sent me the ask to review it, I've only seen clips and I'm yet to watch the full thing. When I do, I'll write about it 💜), where it shows Hobi meeting J. Cole and how he struggles but ultimately communicates his adoration and respect to Jermaine, and how Jermaine graciously receives it.
Take for instance how Hobi approached Chicken Noodle Soup originally by Bianca a.k.a. Young B who at the time she made that song and its iconic choreo, was only 16 years old. The song went viral but most of the royalties went to her uncle and she received almost nothing, she never got signed to a label, and was so badly burned by the industry that she only attempted making music again nearly 10 years after Chicken Noodle Soup. Hobi credits that song as one of the catalysts that sparked his love for hip hop and street dance. He reached out to Bianca and paid full rights (not just for a sample), to her (not her uncle), to use the song, and the music video is peppered with references to Harlem, NYC, where the song and dance originated. Showing that level of courtesy to smaller Black artists is rare in the US and virtually unheard of in Korea where the Korean hiphop (KHH) community is more notorious for wearing Black drag and appropriating a history of violence and a wealth of culture that they know absolutely nothing about, except that it looks cool.
When k-pop stans wax lyrical about how BTS is racist or does a Blaccent (this personally makes me chuckle because the people you often see saying this are white people who couldn't tell you the difference between an affected accent by a non-native speaker and a Blaccent if each slapped them on either side of their face), or that BTS doesn't have the respect of the Korean (or American) hip hop scene, et cetera, I chuckle and move on. Because as I've said, none of these people actually know what they're talking about.
The OGs of the KHH scene recognized the talent of BTS's rapline since debut, and have only expressed more respect for BTS as the years have gone by. I'm talking Tablo, the rest of Epik High, Tiger JK, etc. The Jay Parks of the world took some time to catch up, and if 'studio picture-gate' is any indication, they too have quickly come around to recognizing where they fit in the landscape relative to BTS. Rappers are generally egotistical people. They usually spend their time rapping about how they're the shit. What earns you respect is if you can actually back that shit up. And once you have that respect, you don't feel threatened by another rapper because you know anyone who gets to the top has had to earn it. It's what informs the mindset of "real recognize real". Namjoon, Yoongi, and Hoseok passed that hurdle, in my opinion, way back in 2016 with the release of Cypher Pt 4. Everything they've done since then is just jarra. And those at the very top, the Black rappers who imbibe the culture and history of rap music, have long recognized the rapline of BTS for what they are.
Personally, I love the song. The music, the whistling, the chord progression, the jazz and acoustic guitar instrumentation. Everything about it is perfect.
On The Street is an excellent example of what sets BTS apart from other idols and artists in Korea for me. This is a song conceived 100% in the mind of Jung Hoseok, and the seamlessness in execution, the maturity inherent in the respect paid to those whose music and culture they use as a medium, is present at every single point in the song. It's tastefully done, and 100% driven by the artist, and all I can do in the face of art like this, is respect it.

For 2025, as a tae stan I want him build a brand for himself, right now he's the quirky handsome guy from BTS,, even though his album performed really well his vocals are still largely underappreciated.
Like rest of the BTS members already have a solid identity: suga is the dope producer who writes beautiful lyrics, hobi is a fashionista/great dancer and rapper, rm has his identity as the level head guy who raps and appreciates art, jimin is the guy with angel voice and amazing dance, jk is the golden maknae/asian popstar(who wants to go global) but taehyung is still somehow stuck with the fickle perception of being weird, kind, handsome guy. Jin is stuck with the goofy hyung who shines in run BTS.
You know that I have listed what I think, I think both tae and Jin(waiting for his album) need to build better and more solid brand for themselves as artists.
You know, I’m kind of surprised that as a tae stan you would say something like this, I’m surprised you think all people know about him is him being “quirky”.
“Rm has his identity as someone who appreciates art” Taehyung made a name for himself, Vante.
“Hobi is a fashionista” Taehyung was the first member to attend a fashion week, he’s also the reason his brands are doing so well, in terms of sales.
He’s the only good baritone in the industry, got widely appreciated for it, he’s the reason the fandom is as big as it is right now (duplicated it with DNA, triplicated it with Dynamite), kmedias got a new name for him every single day, he’s the idol of idols and global stars love and appreciate him (Jon Batiste, Lady Gaga?), and he’s known as someone who loves and appreciates Jazz, so I’m surprised that you think he didn’t make a name for himself, that his only known qualities are him being… quirky? Like every quality you associated with a member can easily be associated to Taehyung as well.
Not attacking you, just surprised :)

I've been tagged in a good number of New Year messages, and I sincerely appreciate them. So I thought of also giving back and continuing the good cheer and positivity especially at the start of the year 💖
There were several times when I felt inadequate, felt like I wasn't contributing enough, or I wasn't connecting enough to the people in the fandom. But being tagged in sweet simple messages means a lot and shows that my efforts and presence in the respective fandoms I'm in are indeed seen and appreciated 🥰
Special shoutouts: (tagged people, you can skip to reading only your part of the message if you like ahah 😅😅)
@levi4mikasa - Your username is the core of our corner of the fandom ahaha. Thanks for your support of my work! (Is there a sort of nickname I can call you or refer to you as? Ahaha) Like the Alchemy of Shadows RM art I made, if you have any ideas or photo references that you want to be turned into RivaMika, you can send them to me and I'll try my best to create them whenever I do some art~
@nuri148 - Nuri! I appreciate that you are usually the one who gets the deeper meanings I incorporate into my stories. I'm also grateful that your story and muse have also given me some ideas and inspiration that I can use or incorporate into my own future works~
@warbarbie - Barbie! I feel like you're my biggest fan because as far as I noticed, you are the one who reblogs my posts the most. And I can't thank you enough for your support. I know you're busy and all, but hopefully we can get to interact more as well~
@chaosisbeauty23 - Chaos! I'm truly grateful that your works inspired me to make my own fics as well. I'm still struggling when it comes to writing, but hopefully like you, I will also be able to find my path to it in time. You are one of the RM writers I look up to, and I know you already said it, but I hope you won't mind if I pop into your inbox sometimes if I need some advice or so~
@your-lavender-dreams - Lavender! Your AU fic, A Valuable Asset, is my favorite and the highlight of my reading this year! Since it is the AU that I've been dying to read and have for our OTP RivaMika! I'm truly grateful that your fic exists and I can't wait for it to be updated! I can't even begin to explain the toughness of the situation you're facing right now there in your country, but your safety and well-being are always the priority. Stay strong and keep safe~
@kenza-nm - Kenza! I've said this already but I will say it again. Thank you so much for encouraging me to get into Tumblr. I know you aren't as active anymore in the SnK or RM fandom. But I am truly grateful that you remained when I finally joined in and continued to show me support. Good luck as always to your endeavors this year~
@cakesensei - Cake! (Hope you don't mind but the handle is actually cute) I see you as my bestie in the FSKG fandom, and I'm grateful to have you as one of the people who I can share my JJK and FSKG brain rot with! Your works are brilliant! And I also can't thank you enough for supporting me always~
@onigiri-dorkk - Last and most definitely not least, Onigiri-bestie! I am eternally grateful to you for being the first person both here and on Twitter who welcomed, encouraged, and supported me! Your works have inspired me more than you'll know, and whenever my anxiety kicks in, your comments and messages on them keep me going. It is also thanks to you that I've met and got to interact with these wonderful people in our corner of the fandom. Without your encouragement, there probably wouldn't be a Haven sticking around here now ahaha. Keep shining like you do~
Special mentions to @lady-purpleblue and @bebellabutterfly for always supporting and encouraging the RM fandom and its creativity!
Again thank you all so much! And also to the rest of the fandoms! I hope we can all continue to support each other 🥰💖
Happy New Year and may we all have a fruitful and prosperous 2023! Cheers! 🥂

Title: Gubat Banwa, First Edition Writer and Developer: Joaquin Kyle “Makapatag” Saavedra Art Director: Dylan Briones (@illsvillainy) Artists: Dylan Briones (@illsvillainy), Fae (@lntpblk), Noriz Mora (@Togidemi), Tamara Catada (@tanorochen), Xrystina Marcos (@SweetCyanid3), Ahron (@daffonahron), Gen (@Shaolinfan1), Luisa Odulio (@ghostprinceee), RM Banas (@rmbananas), Cams Cabezas (@tidalbronze), Trina Laya (@tumbke), Mar (@marmastry) Jul A. Refugia (@JuiceUrLemons) Kai (@ClickClacKAOS), Eli (@eleidescope), Raj (@rajavlitra), Cam Chua (@frillion) Summary (from Itch.io page): SWORD AND ENLIGHTENMENT. LOVE AND GLORY. VIOLENCE AND LIBERATION. Gubat Banwa is a Southeast Asian fantasy martial arts Role-Playing Game, inspired by the refulgent cultures of Southeast Asia. Raise your spears, KADUNGGANAN, you elite warrior-braves and asura-knights who travel The Sword Isles to prove their conviction and dictate the fate of the world. Revel in larger-than-life war drama like in Asian Dramas, ballistic tactical martial arts grid gameplay in the vein of Lancer or Final Fantasy Tactics, and find glory beyond heaven. Wield the Thunderbolt of Liberation! Rejoice! In the Glory of Combat! Buy Here: https://makapatag.itch.io/gubat-banwa Spoiler-Free Review: Before going into the review itself, I need to state that this is the first time I'm reviewing a TTRPG book. As such, I'm coming at it with far more emphasis on things like lore and narrative, as opposed to the more crunchy bits like mechanics. Also, I'm a player and a game master, not a game creator, so I cannot speak to that aspect of this game either. But with that being said: THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. I've already got a sense of how well this plays, since I've had the privilege of playing it twice (once with the creator GMing, and another time with one of the artists as GM, and the art director as a co-player), and that was in the pre-First Edition versions of the game. I'm sure that the team behind Gubat Banwa have since smoothed out the mechanics even further, and I bet it plays like a dream now. Fortunately there's rules for Solo Play in the First Edition so I'm going to take a crack at those when I've got a bit more brainspace. Even without getting into the gameplay though, this book is still incredible. The artwork is absolutely stunning, and not just the big pieces like the cover and Discipline illustrations; even the borders around the pages are gorgeous, as are the font choices and the layouting. The art provides excellent visual cues for players and GMs who are looking for inspiration and an anchor for their characters and games, helping them to ground and flesh out their characters and the setting. Speaking of grounding and fleshing out things: the lore is EXTENSIVE, which I deeply enjoy and appreciate. The lore works together with the art to provide inspiration and a framework to help players and GMs both to get into the spirit of things. In the lore and the art, the reader really gets a sense of how much of a work of love this book is - a work of love, and of righteous anger. Actually if there's any terms that best capture the feel of this book, it'd be those two: love, and righteous anger. As is clearly stated in the Note on Intended Audience of this book, "This game is explicitly written with us in mind, us being Filipinos and other Southeast Asian people." And the "us" described here are peoples who've managed to somehow, against all odds, survive and continue to survive against the deleterious and erasing effects of colonization, which continues to this very day. If there is love, that is only right; and if there is anger, then that is only right too. Those two things are inseparable - both in the world and in the play of Gubat Banwa, and the reality it springs from, that is the impetus and driving force behind the entire project. It'd be fantastic if more people could get to experience it too. Rating: Five lightning bolts

BTS MBTI
*based on my opinion and cognitive functions. May change later.*
*Also I am aware they have talked about their types, but they most likely used the 16personalities site or something similar. The results are often very inaccurate from there.*
Explanation of functions
___
RM: INFJ (Ni - Fe - Ti - Se)
Ni (Introverted Intuition) is a perceiving function that prefers to plan things out and focus on future goals. It seeks for deeper meanings in things. RM seeks for deeper meanings, peeling layers of things and people. He's clearly always had the dream of making music and making an impact with their work and so never gave up on it. Even when they were at risk at disbandment, he never wavered and continued to pursue his dream with the help of his members (Fe).
Fe (Extroverted Feeling) is a judging function that's concerned with social harmony. It places value and concern on other's feelings. He has always put the group first, always does what's best for everyone. Values deep connections with others, his Ni makes him curious about a person and want to get deep into their mind, so his Fe may push for him to get them comfortable enough to open up. He's always been very aware of how other perceive him and the group and has always used his Fe to guide the group in a careful manner. He himself always tries fo be considerate and sensitive to other's opinions and emotions.
Ti (Introverted Thinking) is a judging function that is curious about the fundementals of systems. It constructs a consistent system in the mind for the info it analyzes. He picks apart at his insights and thoughts, as Ti can be concerned with the small details. Ni - Ti doesn't want to miss a thing and risk messing up his plans.
Se (Extroverted Sensing) is a perceiving function that relies on the 5 functions to process the world. As his inferior, Namjoon is incredibly clumsy and honestly seems to lack some common sense. However, he seems to be trying to engage with it more by biking and travelling to places. He especially loves going to art galleries, which allows his Se to just appreciate the art for what it is while his Ni also tries to decipher the meaning of the pieces.
...
Jin: INTP (Ti - Ne - Si - Fe)
Ti - Jin seems to be really good at logical games, usually quick to analyze situations. He also doesn't mind just speaking his mind at times, even risking conflict just to defend his claims.
Ne (Extroverted Intuition) is a perceiving function that sees connections between ideas and many possibilities and outcomes. His random connection of ideas during his debate on BTS Run...Even when he's just talking on Vlives, he often rambles and can drift away and jump onto different topics.
Si (Introverted Sensing) is a perceiving function that relies on past experiences and set systems to figure out answers for the present and future. Jin can be skeptical of new things, preferring to stick to stuff he's familiar with (e.g can be doubtful of new tech bc he isn't sure if it eould actually be helpful).
Fe - Inferior Fe makes him kind of awkward, especially in emotional situations. He also kind of "bursts" with his feelings, especially anger, but he does try to diffuse it with some humor. It's like he's kind of aware of the mood of the environment, but since intense emotions are awkward for Ti doms to handle, he still has the need to release the intensity. He doesn't want to make others and himself uncomfortable though, so it can be expressed a bit harshly.
...
Suga: INTJ (Ni - Te - Fi - Se)
Ni - Has always dreamt of working in music, putting in all his effort (with Aux Te especially) to achieve his dreams. Even when his parents didn't want him to, he still chased after his passion. Ni works with having a clear goal in mind, which for Yoongi was to become a music producer.
Te (Extroverted Thinking) is a judging function that focuses on making objective decisions for an efficient and productive environment. Goal oriented and ambitious, success and recognition means a lot to Suga. He always puts so much effort into what he does in order to achieve his best work
Fi (Introverted Feeling) is a judging function that is focused on one's own feelings, morals, and values. Suga may not be the most expressive person physically, but he clearly puts a lot of his personal and deep feelings into his music. A lot of his songs display Ni - Fi loop - unsure where to go and what to do, wondering if there's even meaning or a reason for what he does, etc... He's genuinely very sweet though and empathetic.
Se - Yoongi's inferior Se isn't as bad as Namjoon's. Not as clumsy (although has sustained a few injuries here and there...). He doesn't like to move around a lot physically though, would rather just move at his own pace. It also seems like it's hard for him to enjoy the moment at times as he wants to work on the next big thing.
...
J-Hope: ESFJ (Fe - Si - Ne - Ti)
Fe - Hobi is incredibly in tune with the mood of the environment, he's always trying his best to liven things up and make others laugh. His Fe can be a mask for him sometimes as he tries to be positive and smiling all the time. A social chameleon. He gains energy by being around people, even throwing a huge party.
Si - A clean freak and super organized like many Si doms/aux. He also isn't the most eager about new experiences as he gets scared easily. He's not really a risk taker. His Si gives him a good eye for details and routine, which is probably why he's such a perfectionist about dancing. Se is more focused on energy and image of the dance, while Si wants to get the moves correctly.
Ne - Goofy and fun, his Fe - Ne brings out his weirdness and optimism. He's also really creative, which can be shown through his style of clothing and even to his album covers (compared to Ni doms Joon and Yoongi, his covers are so much more colorful), and even to the way he can easily do freestyle dances.
Ti - Seems to be more comfortable just observing and listening to what people say during group discussions. His Fe may make him more conscious about what he says in order not to accidentally offend, while Ti will usually just be more straightforward.
...
Jimin: ENFJ (Fe - Ni - Se - Ti)
Fe - Definitely cares about how others view him, is quite sensitive to other's words and opinions. He craves external validation. He's also constantly preoccupied with how others are doing and spends a lot of time with them, talking to them and helping them when he hardly uses the opportunity to express himself.
Ni - Has talked about how all of his dreams/goals have been achieved by now. He even obsesses over meanings of concepts and details, which is definitely Ni. His goal has always been to be a singer that can comfort others, which is so Fe - Ni.
Se - His dance and performance skills are amazing for sure, he always gives it his all on stage. Fe - Se lets him focus on the current moment and be able to read people's moods, so it can make him really sociable and receptive.
Ti - I don't see this much since he doesn't seem too concerned about analyzing details and being logical. He's too kind to the point of caring a bit too much of others rather than asserting his own independence. Ti doms/aux usually won't care what others think of them, but with a high Fe, Jimin is sensitive.
...
V: ENFP (Ne - Fi - Te - Si)
Ne - Always doing things differently compared to others, being very creative with solutions (e.g pretending to be a mannequin when RM was looking for him). His creative and unique mind is probably what made people call him weird in the beginning of their debut
Fi - Tae always wants to express who he is, he will not change himself for anyone. He always states his true thoughts and feelings (e.g telling weird fans to stop being so stuck in their imaginations, basically telling a fan he'll do what he wants when they commented something rude about his mustache, etc).
Te - Having Fi - Te makes him blunt and straightforward. He doesn't mind calling out people if they've bothered (if i recall correctly, he shoved his camera in front of a fan who was way too close to him and had her phone in his personal space)
Si - Taehyung seems to dislike a predictable routine, always wanting variety in his life. He has talked about how he picks up new hobbies only to drop them not too long after.
...
Jungkook: ISFP (Fi - Se - Ni - Te)
Fi - Introspective and focused on authenticity, Jungkook just wants to focus on being himself. He wants people to see who he is and like him for him. He's definitely very passionate about his career and about the world in general. Fi - Ni wants to live without restrictions and achieve his dreams. He just does what he wants to do.
Se - The fact he pretty much excels at a lot of physical activities (dancing/performing, boxing, black belt, swimming, literally snatching an eel out of water so easily, etc) is a good indicator of aux se. He pays attention to his aesthetics, expressing himself through creative outlets such as drawing and fashion. His Se pushes him to just go for it, with the help of the emotions of Fi.
Ni - His Fi seems to fuel his Ni in doing whatever he wants to do. E.g younger Jungkook saying he wanted tattoos and years later getting a sleeve and several piercings
Te - His Te seems to be maturing as he's said he's a lot more relaxed with his emotions now. He isn't as impulsively emotional as he used to be, more patient with himself and the external world.
