#quirkless erasure au
pocketramblr · 9 months
Note
AU where a Quirk accident leads to people developing additional secondary mutations unrelated to their Quirks (if they have any)
1. Someone sets off the "Second Quirk Awakening", which scientists immediately start protesting the name of because that simply isn't what is happening with secondary mutations and it's not at all like the first documented meta-human births, but the name already stuck so. Unfortunate. Anyway secondary mutations are popping up all over the place- but only in those who have quirks. People without quirks still don't have any, so some theorize this is connected the to plus alpha factor. Everyone is pretty sure a quirk caused it but no one knows who.
2. Izuku remembers how Bakugou was absent for a week from school, and returned with a stiff posture. He played off the second mutations of having turtleshell on his back as barely noteworthy, but some kids started gasping and asking if it meant he'd be slow now, or unable to use his explosions. Bakugou said no, it would just be extra armor on his back and proved he was just as fast and explosive before. The kids accepted this but Bakugou has been doubting that and trying to prove himself past his secondary mutation in a way that unhealthy to himself and everyone around him ever since.
3. A secondary mutation, by definition, does not have an activation like a quirk. Aizawa could Erase Ojiro and prevent him from moving his tail. If he activated Erasure on Inko he could stop her from using Attraction of Small Objects but he could not stop her from moving the delicate dragonfly wings that burst from her back two years ago. (Said wings can't lift her up and never would have been able to. Their emergence was painful for Inko and scary for Izuku, but Inko is skilled at sewing and had all her clothes altered in a week, and finds them little bother now. Sometimes they're useful for fanning, but that's about it.)
4. The activation of the quirk that caused all of this also started making problems for Ujiko and AfO because some of their nomu started developing extra mutations that hadn't been planned on and thus messed with the overall design. It also led to some people asking AfO to take or switch their secondary mutations, which he can't do. AfO would dearly like to find the person who activated all of this but won't, that's looking for a tiny needle in a huge haystack even for him.
5. Izuku and Toshinori never develop a secondary mutation due to being born quirkless, though Bakugou is pretty sure Izuku's just the next step in the Second Quirk Awakening. In 1A, Izuku does think it's cool that Momo's blaschko's lines are bright colors on her skin, that Kaminari has cat ears he constantly forgets about, that Iida literally has eyes in the back of his head (well, neck), that Hagakure has webbed hands, and that Kirishima didn't know his secondary mutation had arrived until his roots started growing bright blue instead of black. Mineta and Kouda even develope their Secondary Mutations in the first semester, how fun.
(by the time everyone is twenty, the only two members of class A without a secondary mutation will be Izuku and Aoyama, huh, how weird is that)

The trio holders adopt a child (for the 5 headcanon ask game)
Since you didn't specify the child, I'm going to borrow Hanaka, Yoichi's daughter from my fic A Road Not Traveled.
1. During the trio's days as a vigilante, they rescued a baby girl from the streets. The orphanage kicked her out because of her red eyes. Yoichi named her Hanaka after an early vigilante he admired.
2. You would think looking at him that Second would be the strict parent. You would be completely wrong. Second is the most doting sucker of a parent in existence. Absolutely everything Hanaka does is precious in his eyes. If he had his way, she would be spoiled rotten. Yoichi is also very permissive because he's trying a bit too hard not to be his controlling older brother. Third has to step up to establish discipline.
3. It takes a few years before AFO finds out that he has a niece, then he demands to meet her. (Literally, there was a mass murder threat at all.) AFO usually has a very limited definition of family and didn't think this random brat would be good enough for him. But as soon as he lays eyes on Hanaka, he's smitten. Adopting her was the best decision ever. If AFO had seen her first then he would have snatched her up faster. (Seriously, better not let him babysit without supervision.)
4. Hanaka is a huge fan of villains, just like her uncle. The Joker is her favorite cartoon character. She likes to build Lego empires and proclaim herself supreme dictator. She's a ruthless manipulative little terror who's very protective of her friends and family and a little too good at getting away with mischief. Second can't imagine her doing any wrong. Even Third has a blindspot. To his horror, Yoichi ends up needing his brother's advice on how to handle her.
5. Hanaka's quirk is a form of Erasure that she can use wide-scale. She pretends to be quirkless for quite some time to use it subtly. It's a true act of love that AFO never stole such a wonderful quirk. (Cough he tried but couldn't wrench it from her stubborn fingers.)
6. On the good news, AFO actually tones down his villainy because he really doesn't want to be cut out of his niece's life. As she grows older, he comes to realize that she sees family a lot like him. And to her, Second and Third are family. AFO can't kill them because he knows that would cross his niece's bottom line, and in his own strange way he respects her ownership of her family. It would be rude to vault Yoichi too, when Hanaka has just as close a claim. In this fashion, the world is saved from disaster. At least until Hanaka is old enough to make her own bid for world domination.
(All of ask game AUs are free to use in my Three Weeks of Trioholders event.)

Trick or treat! ~@duckingwriting
hello & tysm for stopping by! you receive the rough opening for an unfinished erasermight fic I started in June 2018.
fic writer ask box trick-or-treat
untitled
erasermight / BNHA AU. Aizawa's quirk in this is passive pain erasure; people near him don't feel pain, so he'd become a nurse.
He always visited him at night, disguised by shadows, when the hallway lights were dimmed and the nursing station was crewed by exhausted RNs pulling through the twilight hours on vending machine coffee. It left a bitter taste in his mouth, but the ground-floor coffee shop was only open during the day. Aizawa preferred to work at night.
It was easy to slip into the room. The door wasn’t locked. It had humbled him, the first time this man had been in his care. He hadn’t known that a hero could look so small and frail, that All Might could look so small and frail. That he needed to be in a hospital at all. Heroes had always seemed invincible, but even when Aizawa had begun to treat them, All Might had somehow seemed above injury.
He’d laughed when Aizawa put in his IV, when it took two attempts to find a vein.
“You have a lot of scar tissue,” Aizawa had said, flustered, and All Might had only laughed harder.
For a long time, they’d thought Aizawa was quirkless. While other children were reaching through walls and conjuring items from the air, he’d gone nowhere. He’d applied to a regular high school where he kept to himself and prepared for college, and worked a part-time job at a convenience store.
[the story of how he discovered his quirk, starts with an old cat]
All Might was in the hospital every few months. It was rare that someone came to see him. That was surprising--that no matter how beloved and popular he was to the general public, there was no one who came to collect his laundry or bring him clean clothes or sit beside his bed and read to him when he couldn't open his eyes. No one to force him to swallow a few bites of hospital food. They loved the idea of him, but Aizawa had to wonder how many people have ever loved the man.
He didn't ask permission to take the clothes with him. It grossly overstepped his role. But he couldn't bear to send him home in bloody clothes. He washed and folded and returned them while All Might was asleep.
[would eventually lead to]
...and had fallen asleep beside the bed. He was mortified at his lack of professionalism, but All Might squeezed his hand.
“Call me Toshinori,” he said.

MHA Fics
This is a list of MHA fics I like on AO3, if you have any recs for me feel free to send me some!
Most of these are focused around Deku, so I tried to categorize as best I could. Also some have ships and some don’t.
I have a separate post for tododeku here.
I have a seperate post for bakudeku here.

Green Lightning ReachingForStars152
~After the emergence of quirks, the official definition of 'vigilante' changed to match it.

...So, then, wouldn’t it technically not be illegal if you didn’t have a quirk?~

Izuku blinked at Stain’s chest, before looking up. “Excuse me?”~
Pied Piper by Blackholeca
~If they wouldn’t give him a chance then the solution seemed simple, he’d give himself one. He’d force the world to see him, force them to recognize his hard work. He wasn’t missing a quirk, it was simply that everyone else had been given an advantage. He wasn’t broken, or useless, or incapable, and he’d prove it by outrunning all of them, he who was quirkless, he who had started in last.~

~AU in which Izuku stays quirkless and finds his own way of becoming a hero~

If he can't become a hero, then he sure as hell can become a vigilante!~

After losing his only goal in life, Izuku met Mei Hatsume in the midst of explosion and fire. 'Support course in UA??'~
Blank Canvas by jokeraddicto

Show the world it's wrong, that's what. Finally, after years of no one believing him, there was one man who did. After All Might left Izuku on a roof with the answer of 'no', one man who was not a Hero finally told the boy, "I believe you can become a Hero." Izuku wants to prove the man right.~

With one last shot at redemption, Izuku struggles with his morality, memory, and loyalties as he's forced to question everything he thought he knew.~
Twisted Crown of Villains by RandomFanfictions
~Izuku Midoriya is the only one who knows how to take down the League of villains, but in doing so, he has to become one of them. Or at least pretend to be one.

Misc.
How To Get Adopted Without Letting Your Dad Know He's Adopting You, A Guide By Class 1-A  by lesbianclerics
~Mina waits until Aizawa’s well out of earshot before muttering a teasing, “Okay dad” under her breath. Kirishima’s eyes go wide. Midoriya chokes on air and the soap he’s spraying goes wide, hitting the wall as well as the stove. Kaminari freezes halfway through tiptoeing across the kitchen. Not Broken, but a Little Bent by FriendlessAnimeLover
~Kaminari Denki ends up leaving the hero course after a certain incident takes place and enrolls in general studies where an unlikely ally reaches out to him, slowly helping ease his pain. Guildy Pleasures by Mysecretfanmoments
~As the only son of a powerful politician, Todoroki Shouto's life is just one big boring cutscene—except when he logs on to Land of Heroes, where he plays as ShoutO, slaying foes and keeping his fellow guildmates alive. It's enough fun that it almost distracts him from the fact that he's falling for two of those guildmates. Almost. But he's got to stay in stealth mode, because Bakugou and Midoriya are mega-popular streamer duo ZeroDeku… and they're already dating each other.~
don't you just want to go apeshit? by kkachis, MargaritaDaemonelix

~In one universe, Todoroki Touya runs away from home and becomes the villain known as Dabi.
In this one, he takes his little brother Shouto with him.
This is their story.~
Chapstick, Chapped Lips And Things Like Chemistry by Dreamweaving
~Shoto Todoroki is determined to have friend time with both Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugou at the same time. An operation he has deemed "Operation Threesomes". Unfortunately he may have misjudged what a threesome is.~
no rest for the wicked by crossroadswrite
Midoriya has absolutely no filter when he's sleep deprived. That's it. That's the fic.
Izuku's Project by redanick
~“Midoriya? It’s half past four in the morning, what the hell do you want?”
“Oh, is it really? I hadn’t noticed. Anyway, if I told you I had a way to majorly fuck up your dad in the public eye, would you be okay with it?”
He paused in shock that Izuku had sworn. “...Yeah, sure, whatever. Go nuts.” Todoroki hung up.~
A Sucker for Pun-ishment by Gotcocomilk
~Shoto gets hit with a quirk that forces him to tell jokes. They are all bad, but the pick-up lines are worse.~

~The one where Baku models for his parents' fashion company and his classmates find out.~
Katsuki Bakugou has No Goddamn Chill (But It's For The Best That He Doesn't) by Sif (Rosae)
~Izuku and Bakugou had a long and complicated history, but most of the school was pretty sure that they understood where the two currently stood as rivals. Then Izuku's dad showed up on campus and everyone's preconceptions were mercilessly thrown out the window. In which Bakugou tries to murder a man, has a soft side and convinces his entire class the twilight zone is real.~
Bakugou and Todoroki's Foolproof 5-Step Plan to Fuck with Mineta Minoru by Anubis_2701
~It was a simple enough idea; screw around with the resident bastard of Class 1-A to let him know that his medieval ways and perverted behaviour weren't going to be tolerated by even the most career-focused of UA's students.~
If We’re Being Honest by thequeenofwhump
~Class 1-A is hit by a very powerful truth quirk, and lots of things come out. Some things are quite harmless - quite the opposite, really - others are quite funny, and some open wounds that never really healed.~
Halfway to the Moon (But the Sun is So Bright) by Catisred
~Izuku doesn't know how to handle being depressed, his middle school bullies, the rigorous training All Might has him on, and the burden his mother is under trying to provide for a kid all by herself.
So he doesn't. Not well, at least.~
Tomorrow by MabtheWinterQueen
~In a universe where All Might does not tell Midoriya Izuku that he can become a hero, he becomes one anyways, because if there's two things Izuku does have, they are spite and a plan.~
Engraved in your Mind by Hejter
~Kacchan is still a stubborn prick while suffering from face blindness. Also, quirk discrimination is a thing.~
The kids are gonna be alright by tsumoo
~Yagi chuckles in that signature All Might fashion, a blush glowing bright along his cheekbones. “Thank you. But that is beside the point,” he says. The laughter mellows into a contemplative hum and you fidget while he watches you closely, warmly, “…It’s just, Aizawa seems a bit more alive when you’re around”.~
pater proelium by unexpectedchair
~“Sadly, we won't be able to get justice right away,” Present Mic admitted, a melancholy note in his tone.Inko glanced down at her wedding ring, eyes widening. She then chose that moment to open the door, and proceeded to step into the room.“You might not be able to, but I might,” Inko's determined stare fixed on everyone in the room. “But you need to do exactly as I say. Excuse me while I make a call.”~
Tango for Two, Electric Boogaloo by Maxine
~Five times Bakugou and Kaminari were absolutely not dating, and one time they maybe actually were? Possibly? Somehow?? Don't ask, because Bakugou sure has no idea how the hell it happened.~
Love Sick by Jacksonofabitch
~Following an accident in training, Kaminari has little choice but to confront his own feelings for Bakugou Katsuki. Especially when he accidentally confesses.~
Just Say When by Bounemr
~Denki is shocked to find himself tutored by Todoroki. Will he finally rise from last place, academically, in class? Will love shenanigans happen? Probably. They're not mutually exclusive.~

Fanfiction Masterlist Post!
Longfics first, then oneshots, split into fandoms; I’ll post everything I’ve written here that I think is worth sharing. If a fic’s got a main ship, I’ll put it in italics next to the summary, as well as any other note. All fic titles are links.
My Hero Academia Fanfics
Unicorn Tuesday: In which Himiko is adopted by the Iidas, Hitoshi is best friends with an amnesiac Dabi, Katsuki has magic powers, Shouto and Zuko bodyswap every Tuesday, and Denki is dEfInItELy nOT the UA traitor. Yes, this is an ATLA crossover.
in another life: In which Katsuki is quirkless (mostly), Izuku has an Erasure quirk (not really), Fumikage has One for All (halfway), Monoma is a Todoroki (he isn’t) and Tenya and Denki will have to fight for a happy ending. Iida/Kaminari
box: Enji and Rei are villains. Everything changes. Toga/Todoroki, Nejire/Tamaki
what would have happened: In which Bakugou and a Todoroki Nomu time travel, Touya runs away with his brothers and adopts Eri and Shinsou, multiple people are not quite villains (but not quite heroes either), Eraserhead has no idea what's going on, the LoV arrests an army, and Natsuo is the only person with any amount of common sense. Shigaraki/Natsuo
until it breaks: MHA actor AU.
six miles: Autopotency: a system, having complete knowledge and power over itself. Katsuki and Touya don’t have the knowledge, exactly, but they’re trying their best with what they have. For one, the power’s a terrible blessing; for the other, it’s a magnificent curse. Or: the disastrous life of bakugou k. (ft touya)
anachronism: Shirakumo can time travel, and so knows when he will die; isn't it odd, that Kurogiri's here? The Todorokis are immortal, and so can't stay dead; isn't it odd, that Touya's gone? Even in a world of quirks, there are anachronisms. This story's about a few of them. Ashido/Sero
hey, brother: There is no such person as Todoroki Shouto; instead, Natsuo has an extremely peculiar quirk. It’s kind of a problem for everyone. Jirou/Toga
Natsuo’s Foolproof Plan to Kidnap Shigaraki Tomura: You know the trope where Shigaraki kidnaps Natsuo to be the League’s medic? This is not that. Shigaraki/Natsuo
the krytos trap: In which Class 1A produces a soap opera. Todoroki/Midoriya
the rest of us just live here: DnD world fantasy AU centered around the Todoroki family. Fuyumi/Ryukuyu
after the end of the world: Modern AU where there are no quirks, villains, or heroes, but everyone plays soccer. There are also soulmates and dimension travel. Shigaraki/Natsuo
Fullmetal Alchemist Fanfics
falling stars, fading scars: Edward and Alphonse, of the year 1917, time travel to when Mustang was fifteen—1895. This has consequences, to say the least.
bother, I left my torch in narnia: It's been twenty years since Ed and Al were stranded on this side of the Gate. Now, with a World War brewing on the horizon, they live a mostly-quiet life in rural England with their friend Alfons. However, things start to get very confusing when Ed, Al, and Alfons take in some evacuee kids from London, and they discover a mysterious portal in Al's old armor...Ed just wants to get the Pevensies home safe, but it seems that Narnia has other plans. Featuring Lion Jesus, dimensional shenanigans, and an unexpected encounter with an old friend. Co-written with @fiddlysticks
the courtship of rebecca catalina: In which Jean Havoc finds a Philosopher's Stone, goes ghost hunting, fights a homunculus, impersonates the Flame Alchemist, prevents the apocalypse, attempts to parent the Elrics, and wins Rebecca's heart--not necessarily in that order. Jean Havoc/Rebecca Catalina
katana: In which Roy Mustang attempts to find the missing Katana Fleet, the Elrics sign up to find it too, a secret organization of Sith is stirring from the shadows, and some Jedi still remain. And Al definitely isn't hiding a big secret. Nope. Star Wars AU.
what doesn’t kill you: What with serial killers, government plots, homunculi, Philosopher's Stones and murderous emperors of Xing all causing trouble, Ed and Al find that getting their bodies back has become significantly harder--and hiding the fact that they lost them in the first place near impossible. But they'll manage it--they've got an entire galaxy counting on them, after all. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric. Science Fiction AU.
five knives: In which Ed and Al are Ishvalan on their mother's side, immortal on their father's side, Mustang doesn't deserve this amount of Elric Rubbish, soulmarks exist only to cause pain, and the universe is nearly devoured by eldritch tentacles. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric
we are more than we are (we are one): On a dark and stormy night, three things go terribly wrong. The first: that Ed and Al attempt human transmutation, and pay a toll for crossing the Gate. (I know, you knew that already) The second: that there is no suit of armour in the room. (I know, you've seen this one before) The third: that Winry is nearby, and intervenes. (two become one, become three)
everything is fricked (there are seven Edward Elrics): In which Alphonse gets his body back far earlier than in canon, the Stop-The-Amestris-Death-Circle team does their best, Scieska's conspiracy theories turn out to be true, and Mustang becomes increasingly uncertain of the number of Edward Elrics in the world.
the inevitable fourteenth: On your fourteenth birthday, you swap bodies with your soulmate. This is interesting, to say the least, for Alphonse and Mei. It's a downright disaster for Lust and Havoc. Mei Chang/Alphonse Elric, Lust/Jean Havoc (once I finish writing the second chapter at least)
Avatar: the Last Airbender
not this time: In which Zuko realizes what's wrong with the Fire Nation and becomes the Blue Spirit three years early, Sokka is probably not an earthbender, both boys cause incredible amounts of concern and confusion to their parental figures, soulmarks are a thing, Azula steals her brother's redemption arc, and Captain Rei did not sign up for this. Zuko/Sokka
Yep, just one ATLA fic lol

How do you headcanon Hero classes are divided? My take was that on the first year class A gets the ones that either are thought to be a potential danger to themselves or others for some reason (Midoriya and One for All, the ones who secrete acid and nitroglycerin, the one who can magic up guns and nukes) plus a few whose personalities are expected to calm things up (like Tsuyu and Kirishima), plus a teacher that if needed can shut the problem children down in an instant, currently either Aizawa or Midnight. Class B, in the meantime, gets the ones who don't need the extra help.
P.S.: In this take, Kirishima ended in class 1-A because he's friends with Mina and helps keep her grounded. It's only after the combat exercise that they realize Mina has full control of her Quirk and the character to not use it recklessly, so Kirishima wasn't especially needed.
This is pretty close to my headcanon, but the basic idea is that the classes are divided based on the teachers and their specialties.
Aizawa can use Erasure to shut down any non-mutation Quirk and has a lot of experience with powerful emitter Quirks. So his class gets the students who are most likely to accidentally kill themselves or others from a Quirk accident.
I ran down the list of students, and there is an easy way for everyone in 1-A to kill. By contrast, only a few people in 1-B have obvious fatal applications. That's not to say that they can't kill, but it's harder for them and thus less likely to happen accidentally.
Kan has a Quirk that requires him to be careful and skillful with its use and appropriately gets the students with somewhat gimmicky Quirks that require creativity and skill to master.
This is also why I have Midoriya in 1-B in most of my Quirkless Midoriya AUs

Izuku Midoriya, Quirk: Persona Manifestation
What if Izuku wasn’t Quirkless? What if his Quirk can only be activated when a certain type of damage is dealt to him, like losing a limb? What if said Quirk created clones with their own abilities to protect him?
So, this is a prompt I came up with for Izuku because I absolutely LOVE Demon Slayer and the multiverse the My Hero Academia fandom came up with. So, it made me come up with an idea where Izuku was born with a Quirk, but it has the same function as Hantengu’s Blood Demon Art from Demon Slayer.
However, instead of spawning younger versions of himself, this one creates duplicates based on alternate versions of himself.
Examples
Fear = The main body of Izuku that’s the weakness of the Quirk. They have a shrinking Quirk and mainly need to run away.
Anger = Villain Strategist Izuku with a string manipulation or mind control Quirk.
Sadness = Non-Hero au Izuku, where the clone doesn’t want to be heroic but still does his job with a water manipulation Quirk.
Joy = Support Course Izuku with a similar Quirk to Momo.
Pleasure = Singer Izuku with a voice amplification Quirk
Bravery = Fantasy Izuku with a blade manipulation Quirk.
Protectiveness: Female Izuku with a version of Inko’s Quirk.
Kindness = Older/Hero Izuku with the ability to use the Quirks of his previous manifestations.
Resentment = All For One Izuku but with his other manifestations’ Quirks instead of being able to steal Quirks.
Of course, this is an overpowered ability on its own. So, I doubt you’d want to give Izuku One For All. Maybe you can go for a character that doesn’t get much spotlight, like Jurota, Nirengeki, Kendo, Monoma, Kirishima, Tetsutetsu, Sen, Shoji, Sato, and so on.
It also has its own weaknesses.
Examples
Aizawa’s Erasure Quirk can stop the clones’ abilities and leave them as strong as ordinary teens.
Capturing and damaging the main body can affect the clones
Stain’s Quirk might be able to affect all the clones at once since they came from the same body.
The clones are well-coordinated but still inexperienced and can be out-classed by more experienced opponents such as Aizawa, top pro-heroes, Lady Nagant, and Stain.
The clones get overpowered by strong Quirks like Gigantification, Muscle Augmentation, Overhaul, Half Hot Half Cold, etc.
It’s just a fun ‘Izuku was born with a Quirk, but it needs special conditions to activate’ prompt that popped into my head.

The 13 Days of AUs- The Ninth Day of Christmas: A SeroDeku AU
Summary: On the 13 days of Christmas, Music gave to me… 13 different POTSOD AUs! Each contains a different pairing and different plots but within: a collection of plot line that will appear in the main series… though have fun figuring them out! (Including a few pairings that will appear~)
ON AO3

It happened in two seconds. One minute, Izumi watched Hawks take down a villain, then the next, a portal opened up in the sky to allow three figures to fall out. One of them had wings and stayed afloat, grabbing onto one of the others. The other fell hard but got up even after hitting the ground with a crack.
“Gonna have to try harder, birdie,” the blue-haired man taunted. “Tomoe, it’s time to stop playing~”
“Eat shit!” snapped the only girl. Izumi stared at her, clutching her daughter in her arms. The adult looked like a patchwork doll, stitches covering her body to connect the two-toned skin, her ribbon hair fluttering.
“That’s no way to talk to your uncle!” Growled the blue-haired man, baring his fangs. An alpha, then. Alphas did that more frequently than not. Tomoe responded with her own growl, teeth bared. Izumi clutched the toddler in her arms tighter.
“Oi!” The third figure asked an older version of Hawks with scars on his face. “Tango-Indigo-Mike-Echo, Subsect 2 and 3. Code: I’m an Omega, and no, I don’t want a big strong alpha, bite yourself.” The younger Hawks jerked in surprise before reaching a hand to his ear.
“We have time travel confirmed,” he said out loud. Izumi swallowed thickly. Her instincts hissed for her to grab her daughter and bolt. Run and run to hide in a hole and keep her child safe. She barely managed to choke back her whine as she stared at the adult version of her daughter, who was still growling at the villain.
“I see… we’ll then I can keep my sister safe easier now!” The villain said, eyes shining with madness. “She won’t-“
“You TOUCH my mother, and I rip you limb from limb, you incestuous FUCK!” Tomoe snarled. She shoved a hand out, her threads breaking apart to shoot out at the villain, who dodged, the threads cracking a building where they’d landed. “Shit, collateral damage. How long has it been again since we had to worry about that?”
“The last city collapsed five years ago, Raggedy Ann,” older Hawks said grimly, detaching a feather to make a sword. “So five years.” The crowd gasped. “We have civilians and buildings to worry about now,” older Hawks glared at the villain, who scoffed. Younger Hawks stepped forward, his sword raised.
“What are we dealing with?” He asked.
“His name is Shigaraki Tomura. He is the former apprentice of All for One, who could take and give Quirks. His base Quirk is Decay which, when he touches an object, will disintegrate it immediately.” Older Hawks said as Tomoe shot out more threads, Shigaraki dodging. “He got a copy of All for One, which… warped his mind, we think. He became obsessed with All for One’s daughter, who the villain hid away. At first as a sister but given her Quirkless Omega status, as a… partner later on.”
Do NOT whine, Izumi, do NOT whine. Izumi told herself as she stepped back from the fight. No, too far. With older Tomoe jumping around and fighting, her scent reached Izumi’s nose. Her instincts were telling her to stay and watch over her scared child.
“How did her kid end up…”
“I’ll explain later,” Older Hawks told his younger self. “Shigaraki has at this time six Quirks he uses often. Decay, Erasure, Voice, Cremation, Honing, and Brainwashing. It’s verbal, but he won’t bother with Raggedy Ann around. A part of her Quirk is when her threads pierce someone, she can control them. Brainwashing versus brainwashing cancels each other out. Also, do NOT touch me. Our minds will meld so that you gain all my memories. My personality dies, and you get my trauma. It’s so much fun that way.” Older Hawks grunted. Before younger Hawks could speak, older Hawks launched himself into the fight. Younger followed.
In most circumstances, seeing two versions of the winger hero fighting against a villain would be thrilling. More so when he pulled out multiple Quirks. But the thread-wielding female kept catching Izumi’s eyes. Tomoe was moving so fast, swinging from her threads. It was so beautiful as she shot them out, trying to pierce the villain.
Then, the man threw a torrent of flame at the two older heroes. They dodged right as Tomoe swung past. The flame caught her. The woman let out a yell, and the sight… the yell...
Pup hurt. My pup hurt. Baby Pup in arms. Need safe person.
Alpha. Not mine. Sticky smell. But sticky smell on Bug Pup? Safe. He protect. I attack.
-0-
It is widely known that while Alphas were more likely to fight, and Omegas tended to run to a safe place, the true danger came from attacking an Omega’s pup in front of them. When you hurt their pup, Omegas went feral. Usually, it was just under the age of fifteen.
However, in the case of Midoriya Izumi, her daughter was only one year old when she saw the older version of Tomoe get her arm burned badly. She was holding the toddler and stressed out. Of course, she went feral. Everyone would agree on that after seeing the clip of the young Omega handing her daughter over to an Alpha who’d also gone into protective mode to protect the pups while the Omega pounced. One second, Shigaraki was trying to attack the two male heroes, convinced they did it on purpose.
The next, he was on the ground with an Omega mother wailing on him.
“Izumi- little sister-“ begged the villain, but there was only a growl in response before the Omega dug a finger into an eye socket, drawing an unpleasant scream. She then slammed a fist into his throat, screaming as she did.
“Shiiiit,” Older Hawks muttered. “Forgot how she could get. She’s as terrifying as ever.” Younger Hawks stared and then looked over at the collapsed Raggedy Ann, guarded by a skinny Alpha with strange elbows, holding a baby version of the heroin. Oddly enough, it seemed Raggedy Ann was healing fast, new stitches appearing on her arm where the burn had been.  “Oh hey, her analysis is still coming through. She’s targeting his main Quirk zones. Remove an eye, so Erasure has a huge blind spot, damaging his throat so that Voice doesn’t work as well. And attack his hands. Wow. I forgot how good she was at breaking things down.”
“… so she isn’t with her father?” Younger Hawks asked.
“Oh no. He left her with his beta wife, who messed up. Assumed raising a female Omega would be like a beta kid. Tried to arrange marriages, trampled over all the girl’s instincts. Then a teacher sexually assaulted her. The mom actually tried to force her to abort or give the baby up. Big red flag for the nurses. I think Izumi got removed from her mother’s custody about seven months into the pregnancy.” Older Hawks hummed.
“… how can someone be that dumb not to look up Omega instincts?” Younger Hawks asked.
“I read the court details. Apparently, the woman is just… oblivious and focused on what she thinks is the perfect normal mixed with a Populationist idea based on ‘the world going back to normal.” Older Hawks mused. Izumi suddenly slammed a knee into Shigaraki’s crotch. “Ouch.”
“I think he was getting a boner…” younger muttered.
 “… gross.”
The heroes stood back as the feral Omega went to town, watching in detached fascination. The girl could throw a punch. And it wasn’t illegal to let an Omega go off like that.
“So… who’s the Alpha?” Younger asked with a nod behind them.
“Ah, that’s Sero Hanta, her mate in the future. He adopted Raggedy. Even bit her to replace her paternal scent.” Older Hawks paused. “Huh, maybe that’s why he moved. He smelt the older version, saw the child version and snapped.”
“… Shigaraki is managing to fight back.”
“Shit.”
-0-
The battle took another hour to end. Shigaraki did throw Izumi off, but the older Hawks moved quickly to stop him from doing anything. With that, Izumi’s feral self smelling a ‘Pack-Omega’ scent on him, she hurried off to hover over her daughter. The Alpha next to her growled and snapped at anyone who got close. The older version of Tomoe just stared at her younger mother.
“Mom!” She choked out. “Mama, mama- you’re alive.” Her eyes went to Sero, and she sobbed too. “Papa, papa.”
The emotional turmoil the girl was going through didn’t stop her from taking advantage of Shigaraki landing close with his back to them. She shot out a hand, and a thick thread spurted out to drive into his head. Shigaraki froze.
“That was for the WORLD!” Snarled Tomoe as she jerked her hand back. Most of the public ran when Izumi went feral, no one wanting to face off against that sort of thing. Those who stayed didn’t react. Half of the block was demolished, and large craters had been where people used to be. Burns covered the ground, and smoke lingered in the air.
That sort of destruction few wanted to be around. More so when he’d destroyed the entire world. The medics wasted no time rushing to check on the injured heroes and scan the Ferals.
“They’re coming down,” one of them announced. “A few more minutes.” And it was true; the two teenagers slowly came out of their feral state to stare around them in shock. Izumi caught the other’s eyes and flushed.
“Umm…” Hanta adjusted the toddler in his arms. Izumi stared in shock. She didn’t want to rip his face off for handing Tomoe. “What’s going on?”
“You adopted me,” the adult Tomoe said as she stared like they were golden idols. She couldn’t look away. “Bit me and everything after you and Mama decided that you would mate. Helped me with my strings too. Mostly the swinging.”
“Oh…” Izumi glanced at Sero, who glanced back, flushing. “I… I see.”
“Well, you will soon,” Tomoe admitted. “We didn’t come back by ourselves. Another team, with special abilities, did.” She swallowed. “They’re about to show what happened.” She looked between them. “I’m sorry, Mama.”
“Huh?” Izumi asked in confusion. Tomoe swallowed.
“A lot of things are going to come out.” She whispered. “And… you had a hard time in UA. Getting into the hero course nearly broke you.”
 “… oh,” Izumi said.
“I’m sorry, Mama. It was the only way we could think of to stop him.” Tomoe said. “I… I found Papa’s body. I found your body.
I don’t want to find them again.”

Notes:
-Apologies. Yesterday I finished my final exam and wrote a lot of this… then I got drunk and couldn’t focus. So sorry!
-I’m a sucker for omegaverse and time travel, not going to lie.
-I had fun here. After this, it would continue with the show, where Izumi did get into the hero course and went on to be a terrifying hero. She and Sero danced around each other for a while before getting together, to Bakugou’s annoyance.
-Izumi’s guardians/foster parents I never really decided on? EraserMic is obvious but it would be fun to explore another.
-Hawks and Izumi became pack first since she was his intern here.
-Izumi is one of two omegas in the hero course, and due to this got a lot of attention. She mostly didn’t like it.

Unprompted Mun Ask (always accepting) || Anonymous asked:
((hey, just to be clear, You are ok to play in Crossovers, meaning established worlds and stories from other anime/shows/books, but would rather avoid AU's, meaning original build worlds and lore, right? I would hate to put you in an uncomfortable position by liking for a starter that you don't want to be in, if I understood that correctly. Just trying to respect your flow.))
Tumblr media
((I'm taking a guess that this is in response to this ask.
Tumblr media
I'm sorry if that's how that was worded... I was kinda distracted playing OW2 when I was working on that, and only managed to type it between games before posting.
But no.. I do love AUs -- it's just sometimes it is hard working and create the lore for said AUs. Especially creating them by yourself. Since in some AUs you have to change something about a character to make the AU work better.
In fact, I do have a few AUs written up with threads for others in my drafts for both Izuku and my Katsuki muse.
But like for example; take Katsuki and putting him into an AU where Quirks don't exist or one where he was born Quirkless. How would not having a Quirk impact his character?
Cause to me... Katsuki not having a Quirk would leave a pretty huge gap on his character. Like he'd still be confident -- but he wouldn't be OVERLY CONFIDENT. There would be no reason for others to praise him as a LITERAL CHILD for being a walking explosive. They could still do that because of his intelligence -- but a lot of praise he received as a child was about "how strong and flashy his Quirk was". Not to mention, his relationship with Izuku wouldn't have been bad (meaning no bullying) because there would be no reason for him to want to "push Izuku out of his life".
Or if you take Izuku and put him into an AU where Quirks don't exist.. meaning a world with NO PRO HEROES!!! How would that impact his character? Because .. a good part of Izuku's character is him having knowledge about heroes and their Quirks. Like in canon... he was the first, and only one, who immediately realized that Aizawa was the "Erasure Hero: Eraser Head".
The rest of 1A were more or less like "who?" or "I think I've heard his name before". While Izuku the moment that that Aizawa said that he had "erased" his Quirk -- and seeing the goggles -- put two and two together. Meaning that his knowledge of heroes went beyond those heroes in public eye. That he knows about / had knowledge (even if it wasn't as vast) about those who tended to "avoid making media appearances".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like in this scene... Izuku's reaction -- had he only known "rumors" about Eraser Head would've been written more akin to him only hearing rumors. Like it was written for his classmates when they were talking about Eraser. Which means that despite them "hearing things" about the pro hero: Eraser Head. None of them but Izuku ACTUALLY looked into and confirmed for themselves if those rumors were actually true.
The rest of 1A only seemed to know that there was a "angler-type pro hero" on the scene. But didn't know what said hero's quirk was / did.. or only vaguely knew his name.
Whereas.. in straight up crossover threads -- and I mean threads where it's literally taking Character A and throwing them and all of their powers / abilities / etc into Character B's universe. Either by a power / machine / etc ... is usually easier to do threads.
But also ... I come from the early times of tumblr rp (the earlier to mid 2010s) when two characters from two different fandoms could interact and most people didn't really bat an eye about it. And hell, sometimes AUs / muse relationships are created FROM what was supposed to be a simple little thread that was a silly, goofy one-off interaction.
Like for example; back when I rped Toph Beifong -- I interacted with muses that were wrestlers. But .. I didn't have proper information for Toph in a modern setting. So I literally just threw Toph -- as she was (a blind earthbender) -- at people who rped wrestlers. And those were some of my favorite interactions that I had with Toph.

Here's yet another Izuocha story I posted a while back and 100% forgot to share anywhere. Granted, I recognize that it's a niche concept and I only have the first chapter posted thus far but still. Probably worth sharing a link anyways lol
I say this in the notes of the first chapter too, but you don't really need prior knowledge of TWEWY's world or lore to read—Izuku is our main character and he also has no idea about anything so it's a very "learn as you go" sort of story

If the five ask game is still open: au where Aizawa is a quirkless hero?
An interesting ask...
1- So AfO really wants Erasure after seeing some second-year student at UA use it during the SF. And he and ujiko are kinda smart and so target the kid directly instead of just releasing a big monster kinda near where the kid will be and hoping he'll get hospitalized on his own and taken to Ujiko. So that means one day on his way to school, Aizawa looks down at a kitten in a box and is like 'wow i wish i could help this kitten but alas, i'm sixteen, depressed, have super low confidence due to being told i have a weak quirk for years, and am not All Might.'
And then AfO walks out of the alleyway and grabs him by the arm, hoping to quickly steal his quirk but Aizawa activates Erasure on instinct and tries to get away.
2- Shirakumo happens to take the same route to school, and walks up to see his friend getting manhandled and jumps in without thinking. The good news is that AfO runs off and does not take Aizawa to throw into nomu soup, and the cat is fine, the bad news is Aizawa blinked and Erasure got stolen before AfO left.
3- Aizawa is thouroughly shaken now to not have his quirk and is panicking. This is a crazy thing that shouldn't happen to a random kid like him. This is the kind of villain that All Might fights. Shirakumo picks up the kitten and umbrella and is like "So we get All Might then?"
Aizawa thinks he's joking, but he's not. They get on a train and head away from UA, towards Might Tower instead. On the way, Aizawa is catastrophizing, Shirakumo is trying to distract him, asking things like "so do you think that other guy is suffering dry eye right now" (Aizawa realizes he probably is, since his feel weirdly fine.) and "when All Might fights this guy and makes him give you your quirk back, what are you going to ask him to autograph? because i think this kitten deserves an autographed footsie." (Aizawa goes back to catastrophizing because what happens if All Might's quirk gets erased, actually, and even if he can beat this guy that's no promise he's going to get erasure back, and now that its gone he really misses his quirk!)
Shirakumo stops him and tells him very seriously that his quirk didn't make him want to help the kitten, or apply to UA, or train with his capture weapon, which means that even without erasure, he's sure Aizawa can be a hero if he wants to be.
4- So they get to Might Tower and the UA uniforms and Shirakumo loudly announcing that someone's quirk got stolen does actually get All Might's attention, because he's always looking for leads against AfO. Aizawa and Shirakumo tell him everything, including Aizawa telling him about Erasure's weaknesses and how to force him to blink. All Might thanks them, phones UA to let them know whats up, texts Torino, and tells Shirakumo and Aizawa to stay at Might Tower until he gets back from beating AfO's face in. (He also takes a Secret Gift from his american buddy David with him. huh. anyway.)
He gets back several hours later, with a broken arm and tons of bruises which kinda freaks the teens out since All Might Isn't Supposed To Get Injured but he's fine, and thanks them. He apologizes to Aizawa as AfO is now dead and can't return Erasure. Aizawa says not to worry about him as stopping such a powerful villain was more important. Shirakumo tells him to stop saying he's not important, and announces it'll be okay, because Aizawa's going to be awesome as the world's first quirkless hero, working at the agency with Loud Cloud, Present Mic, and Midnight. All Might says he looks forward to seeing their careers, but wonders if he should offer Aizawa a replacement quirk. [One day he'll ask and be told 'hell no']
All Might also gently refuses to autograph the cat Shirakumo holds up, but that's ok because they name him "Autograph" instead
5- Aizawa does indeed become the first quirkless hero, and is in an agency with his three friends after graduation- though Midnight leaves to form her own later on. They still work together sometimes. Loud Cloud, Present Mic, and Eraserhead (he was too lazy to change it) do have an agency rule tho- no one ever goes out on single patrols or missions, its either a duo while the other holds down the agency, or all of them together. Can't have any more kidnapping attempts! Aizawa grumbles about how tiring they are but is fine with it- it's actually a good strategy. Usually Shirakumo or Mic make for a distraction while Aizawa sneaks up from behind and uses his capture weapon, but sometimes he'll use a cloud to drop from, or help Mic manuver around quicker. They work well together, and are very happy at their agency.
Then one day, a ten-year-old with green hair walks in, and nervously asks if someone can become a hero without a quirk- he heard rumors that Eraserhead was a quirkless hero, but no one seems to know since he stays out of the spotlight compared to his teammates, and some people say he does have a quirk since he got into UA, just doesn't use it. Mic assures him that they can, because Eraserhead is indeed quirkless, he just has a lot of training and works with the agency so everyone's weaknesses- like Mic's hearing loss or Loud Cloud's impulsiveness- is covered by the others. Izuku, on hearing this answer, bursts into tears just as Cloud and Eraser return from patrol. Cloud asks why Mic made some poor kid cry while Eraser goes to find Autograph and plop him in the kid's arms to cuddle.
Izuku defends Mic and says it isn't his fault- he just got upset because he doesn't have any friends who would work with him to be a hero, because none of them think Izuku can be one without a quirk, none of them believe Izuku about Eraserhead.
Yamada, Aizawa, and Shirakumo, three young men who were once three teenagers that decided to sneak a cat into school and adopt it despite not being really prepared to take care of it, look at each other and all know something similar is about to happen.

okay so hear me out - quirkless erausre au + catharsis au. aizawa's ability to brutally tear into his opponents vs izuku's ability to immediately spot a person's issues and solve it through combat. aizawa would have like 10 heart attacks a day but also be very proud
y e s. They just have the exact opposite ability. Todoroki is convinced Aizawa is Izuku’s dad. When he finds out the ability isn’t a quirk he becomes convinced its just a feature of their faces.
“I see. One face is almost a perfect representation of disappointed dad, the other is a perfect sweet ‘i believe in you’ face. It’s all in their looks.” All Might hearing this is just looking at him like he's grown another head. Mic is just nodding “No no, let him talk. I think he’s on to something.”

Quirk Ranking AU Stuff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Au based on @hey-hamlet ‘s Quirk Ranking au that stole my heart a while back. This au was the base for many a good roleplays with me and my friend. I love all of your aus btw. They’re all fun af.
--------
So basically in this au in the beginning of the rooftop squad’s second year in UA the laws for the systematic ranking of quirks on a color coded danger scale was passed. This being said everyone had to have their quirks tested with the ranks being the following:
Gray - Quirkless Green - Benign/harmless quirks Blue - Quirks that cause temporary and mild effects on others Yellow - When quirks start to get a bit more dangerous but are still controllable  Orange -  Quirks start to get more uncontrollable here and restrictions start being placed on people here.  Red - The straight out dangerous quirks. There’s lots of restrictions. They’re both revered in a sense since they can make powerful heroes, but discriminated against because they are feared.  Then there’s probably special rankings for those beyond the scope of Red, like All Might, but I’ve been focusing on the Rooftop Squad so...
Ranks are told through a metal bracelet on the left wrist. It need to placed over a scanner to enter places and people who own businesses can set the scanner on what ranks they allow in. There’s also a glowing strip of color going through the center of the bracelet showing the person’s rank color. It’s waterproof and very durable so it’s almost never removed unless there’s a rank change or it needs to be removed by a doctor. The ones on heroes are special because they also act as trackers and can measure the hero’s vitals. Ranking bracelets, though, can be faked and a lot of villains do this to get by in life without detection. Some people make good money supplying these fake bracelets.
-------------------
So the conflict begins with the ranking tests, which marks the squad as the following:
Shouta - Blue Rank due to the fact Erasure is only in effect as long as Shouta doesn’t blink and has his eyes on someone.
Oboro - Yellow Rank after further quirk testing, which revealed his ability to make (unstable) storm clouds.
Hizashi - Red Rank upon being taken for further testing and being pushed to his limits.
Nemuri - Yellow Rank due to the fact she sends people to sleep and that can cause dangerous situations and it does not wear off right away.
For some backstory, Oboro, Hizashi and Nemuri all knew each other before UA and are very very close knit. Shouta’s the latest member to their little group after being pretty much dragged into the group by Hizashi and Oboro in their first year. At the point of the ranking tests Shouta and Hizashi are also dating, having gotten together at the end of their first year.
That being said, Hizashi finds out really really quickly that his Red rank now dictates his life, where he can go and how he’s treated. He’s treated like a ticking timebomb basically. He first starts to realize this when a music store he used to go to to get CDs’s door won’t open for him. He keeps trying and eventually the owner tells him to leave. Also his training as a hero starts to become overwelmingly intensive and they expect so much more out of him than the other students ranked below him.
Needless to say Hizashi is not happy whatsoever. Neither are Oboro and Nemuri. The three of them start to privately plan to leave UA entirely. They can’t support a system like this.
Shouta, meanwhile, is in a different kind of situation. The ranking tests was another way for the Commission to stake out those with quirks that could be useful to them, and what could be more useful than a quirk that can turn off others? So, Shouta’s approached about a week after the tests by a Commission official (that gives off Umbridge vibes honestly) and she basically blackmails a 16 year old kid into signing a contract. Shouta’s mother in this is very ill, they’re going into debt for her hospital bills and she’s only receiving what she can afford as treatment. The Commission offers Shouta not only to pay his bills but to pay for the best possible treatment for his mother. Just, “You want to be a hero, don’t you? You can start by helping your mother.” And other things like that. He basically is blackmailed into signing on to be one of the Commission’s dogs...they own him after he puts that pen to paper.
It happens super quickly, honestly. A bit after Shouta signs Hizashi and the others approach Shouta with their plan and ask him to run away with them. Shouta tries to tell them he can’t, but the minute he hesitates and says he can’t they never don’t give him the moment to explain why. So used to discrimination due to his rank now Hizashi impulsively assumes that it’s because he’s a Red Shouta doesn’t want to join them and effectively puts words in his boyfriend’s mouth. It’s a huge 3 vs 1 verbal fight and it ends with a rough break up and Shouta being basically left there in shock, and the trio disappearing about a week later.
From there Shouta’s life quickly spirals into hell. The training is cruel and grueling. His handler (The Umbridge vibes lady) is awful and single handedly drives Shouta back into the closet. She starts to control his diet, how he dresses and how he presents himself. He’s thrust from being a future underground hero into being a future limelight hero. He learns how to fake a smile really really fast and starts outwardly acting like the modest and eager hero hopeful his handler wants him to be. She changes his hero outfit to have a bit more “appeal”, aka be a bit more skin tight and streamline, throws out his goggles and replaces them with a visor because “They were ugly” and makes him wear his rank color in his costume to flaunt it. Even has his hair cut because his hair is an “disgusting bird’s nest”.
Shouta also keeps everyone at arms length due to what happened between him and the trio and also the very few times afterwards he gotten close enough to someone again to be honest with some things like his opinions on the ranking system (it’s stupid and illogical) and his sexuality, it got back to his handler and the punishment was harsh to say the least. Right now the only people he kind of considers friends are Tensei, Emi, Hawks and somewhat Fat Gum due to working together a bit. Also it doesn’t help that every time he gets into a conflict with one of the trio, who are now big time villains, they’re either quite cold or very harsh.
Shouta is literally two steps from having a mental breakdown by the time it gets to the point where class 1-A’s a thing.
Meanwhile, Hizashi, Oboro and Nemuri ran away from everything, surviving on the streets for a while before being picked up by a villain gang and being taken in by them, all getting fake ranking bracelets and beginning their careers as villains. They left that gang to strike it out as a villain trio once they were sure of themselves since they had a different goal. They aim to take down the commission and abolish the ranking system once and for all. They became known as Overcast, Reverb and Nightfall.
Nemuri, being protective of her boys and especially Hizashi at this point, is honestly the most harsh to Shouta when they occasionally face off, meanwhile Oboro is cold but hits hard and Hizashi is just absolutely frigged.
LOV does approach them but they do not join them...at least probably not at first.
There it is, there’s the AU :)
Enjoy the pain.

AU idea where Midoriya's quirk is "Quirkless"
We have All For One, the power to take and steal quirks from others, accumulating a vast variety of quirks. We have One For All, the power to give quirks and grow upon a power that's been passed down for generations. Midoriya's power? Complete quirk erasure. None For All, or All For Naught, his quirk makes it so your quirk becomes non-existent, gone, just like the drug Mirio was hit with to make his quirk disappear.
He's deemed Quirkless at first because there's no signs of anything manifesting, but it's not until he takes his mother's hand one day do they realise that he has a quirk. Inko finds herself Quirkless with a sudden fear of her child. Next thing he knows is that he always has to wear gloves, save when he's using technology or is in the confines of his own home. She has him promise to never use it, and never let anyone know what kind of quirk he has as it can put him in danger.
Flash forward to the sludge villain incident, this can go two ways: 1. where he erases the villain's quirk the moment he gets attacked and shocking All Might with his quirk, or 2. erasing the villain's quirk only when it's Bakugou who's in danger and shocking everyone with his quirk. This depends on if Midoriya goes the Hero (scenario 1) or Villain (scenario 2) route (but both can be taken both ways depending).
