The universe made my straight best friend I had the hugest crush on not interested in me, so it is only fair that Will Byers pulls the boy of his dreams and allows my 14 year old self to live vicariously through him. Compensation or what not.

to me being queer is the dedication of an indivdual to radically deconstruct cisheteronormativity in their daily life, relationships and work. queerness to me is a political as much as a sexual identity & orientation label. following this, yes, a cishet man can be queer.

if upon being told about someones illness/condition, your first thought is to say “have you tried X?” i want you to step back for a moment and think to yourself “if i thought of X after hearing about this condition for the very first time, the person who has this condition very likely has thought of this and possibly tried it already”
we are tired of constantly being told to try the same things by people who didnt know our condition existed five minutes ago.
you dont need to offer any solutions or try to fix us. i know it might seem like a polite thing to do or that it shows you care, there are other ways to show us you care.

Ok. I need to get this out. I'll preface this by saying I'm very excited for the new season to be released, and I can't wait to see more of our ineffable couple.
The thing is, I've seen a lot of posts where people are hoping that this season will 'confirm' Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship, or they're hoping to get a kiss to make it 'official'.
Listen. Listen. Aziraphale and Crowley are already in a relationship. More importantly, they're in a queer relationship. Their relationship is already outside the norms of Heaven and Hell, Aziraphale visibly dresses as a gay man and has been among the gay social circles in history, Crowley changes his gender presentation and is comfortable with it, and they're both queer and hence their relationship has always been queer.
Maybe they'll kiss, maybe they'll have a verbal declaration of their love, but if they don't, it doesn't make their relationship 'queerbaiting' or not queer enough. Just because they don't fit into your ideas of a queer relationship or explicitly state they're a gay couple doesn't mean that they're not queer.
Many aspec and even other queer people feel represented by Aziraphale and Crowley, and you do not get to take that away from us. Western media hasn't always been kind to gay relationships, but Good Omens is not one of them. If you do not like the representation, then feel free to watch other shows that have explicit romantic/sexual relationships. Don't drag this show into the apparent '''queerbaiting'''.

As we come upon the gay month, here is a friendly reminder about something because it comes up literally every year for me. In general and around this time.
If you see a post that is about or includes positivity about kink and sex and sexuality, please don’t comment “ewww sex” or “this !!! but without the sex part”.
And this is not to say you have to like sex. I am well aware that this heteronormative society places way too much emphasis on sexual chemistry in relationships. And that there are plenty of people who don’t experience sexual attraction, sexual enjoyment, or are sex repulsed. And that’s okay. And society shouldn’t be putting the pressure on you to want or enjoy sex.
This is to say that enjoying and indulging in sex and sexuality is a very important part to tons of communities, and it would be very helpful to not chime in on sex positive posts saying you don’t like sex. It’s almost like a “don’t yuck my yum” thing. ‘Cause like. I’ve noticed a ton of LGBTQ+ people feel the need to hide the sexual part of their identity. And emphasize “actually my relationships are totally emotionally fulfilling” but keep the sex part hush hush. And they shouldn’t have to avoid expressing sexual joy if they don’t want to. They should get to go “I fucked someone NASTY” or like “I masturbated in such a gender euphoric way” without feeling like they’re gross. ‘Cause they’re not! That’s awesome!
And it isn’t appropriate to go on posts celebrating and caring for people not having sex or not desiring sex or being sex repulsed and say “omg but what if you had sex” or “but sex is so good though!!!”.
Let’s all celebrate our experiences with sex and sexuality, whether sex is something we have and crave or not and not step on each other’s toes. ‘Cause we’re not supposed to be each other’s enemies. Infighting is a weapon oppressors use against us. So let’s all celebrate instead.

this disability pride month, stop making jokes about people in wheelchairs standing up or walking.
can I stand and walk? sure, for a short while and with pain. the consequences for trying to be out all day without a wheelchair are that I'll be in bed for the rest of the week, too tired and in too much pain to move.
but the government won't give me my own wheelchair because they have the same attitude as these jokes - I can stand up, so I don't need one. exercise is good for you, you should walk!
it keeps me trapped in the house, unable to do anything more than short stints anywhere without borrowing or hiring a wheelchair - one that causes me pain to sit in and relies on someone to push me (usually with difficulty), because they're not going to have a high-end chair for that sort of thing.
it's not a miracle that a wheelchair user can stand or walk. it's something we should aspire to see more often.

I drew this in support of Pride Month, but also because even though it's 2023 I still, for some unknown reason, enjoy the hell out of the Klance ship.
These boys make me so happy sometimes it's stupid.

Heartache
(my piece for NovaMali's "Classics but Make it Gay 3" ! Inspired by illuminated Bibles Moralisées from the 1200s/1300s and their depictions of same-sex love - couples enlacing under the watchful eye of protective demons. A highly emotional piece for me...
If you're interested in learning more about it, you can snatch the zine over on NovaMali's shop !! I highly recommend it, it's an absolutely gorgeous book ! : https://www.novaandmali.com/shop)
