No seriously. At this point I can't even keep track of my pairing list. It also doesn't help that I can practically eat everything that has Nico in it - regardless of... everything else. Jesus Christ.

But since you asked, I gotta try my best. I guess it's also a good chance for me to wrap up my own messy thoughts too---

Welp. Let's see. A list of Nico ships I actively contribute in because I have no idea what I know of at this point:

Solangelo, Jasico, Percico: have written about/ have plans to write about

Nico/Alabaster: tons of ideas and headcanons but have yet to decide on a writing plan. I could kill for them tho.

Thanatos/Nico: written one fanfic. Would love to write more but I run out of ideas

SELFCEST NICO. I'M SERIOUS FIGHT ME.

Eros (Cupid)/Nico: once unhealthily enjoyed making Love-you-like-an-enemy headcanons. Still do.

Erebus & Nico: I wouldn't say this as a ship... unless the term 'platonic ship' exist. I prefer to think of them as... soulmates? What do you call two lonely souls seeking each other's company?

Now to the pairings which I leech from others' content, meaning: consume but yet to contribute

Magnus/Nico: It exists and it's true and it's AWESOME

Pollux/Nico: There're at least two fics out there that had me in a chokehold

Child of Persephone x Nico ahsdjkahdkjahdka it was just one fic C'MON

Cecil Markowizt/Nico: Again. ONE fanfic. And it was Portuegeues.

Tons of crossover ships: Arthur/Nico (legitimately my RELIGION), Ciel Phantomhive/Nico,... That time I say Nezha and Nico could be friends. Like I don't... quite ship them but akdsaksaj this proves that you should never hope anything from me

I'm sure this is not all of them... I mean. I have read more. And probably forget a bunch...

I wouldn't say I have a favourite ship... well there're times that I would invest more in a specific pairing, but that doesn't mean I like other ships any less. I have 5 drafts for Jasico and then I have a Nicobaster week and then a Percico-marathon. Generally speaking though, I would say I usually... prioritize (?) the rarepairs. Since you know, the canon one and the more popular ones alr have people building the empire for them. I might be the only one invested in a Son of Persephone with Nico, for example, so I tend to gravitate towards it, in hopes of contributing a small brick for this little tent compared to their nation; or sometimes it's just because there's someone else more invested in me and their dedication fuels me (yes you @drksanctuary).

Anw I hope this gives you an insight into how wild of a being I am LMAO. I'm a proshipper. I have no qualms when it comes to enjoying fiction - as long as I enjoy it. Be free. Trust me.

As I've said, I forgo everything when it comes to Nico. He's my exception. He's always right. If he's wrong I have a few words to Rick------ jk lol or maybe not---

Do you ever think about how in Percy Jackson and the Olympians Poseidon offered Sally Jackson palace at the bottom of the sea to keep her safe but she turned it down. Hades offered to take Maria Di Angelo and her kids to the Underworld to protect them but she turned it down. then Zeus offered nothing to Beryl Grace but she would have taken it. there's something to be said there, it's definitely interesting but it's late and I'm tired.

I can’t remember how many requests I got for this scene (it’s the most popular request!) but the latest one was from @seaweedpuff301 ✌🏼

A little life update, I haven’t drawn stuffs in while because I just freshly graduated😳. My last exams were 6 days ago and prom was 5 days ago! So surreal! I had been very busy moving out of the dorm. Now, I’m back in my hometown and I guess it’s finally safe to say I’m a doctor (fr still can't believe it y'all) 🥹

I have mixed feelings about this but at least most of them are positive. Now, I may have more time to draw since I have no more actual exams for 3 years until residency 😬

Reasons I'd get kicked out of Camp Half-Blood

1- telling Chiron to "stay gold, Ponyboy"

2- belting the chorus of "sweet home Alabama" every time I see a couple in the camp

3- making your mom jokes to Athena and Aphrodite kids

4- randomly spraying Percy with a squirt gun to check if he's really water resistant, even when he's not expecting to be in contact with water

5- approaching random campers and reminding them who their half-siblings are (ex: "yo, Nico, did you know you're related to Hitler?)

6- hiding a noise machine in the Hermes cabin and playing the star Wars scene "Luke, I am your father" every time he eneters/ making it play Hamilton at all hours of the night, so we can fall asleep to the sound of our father's voice

7- telling kids to "read between the lines", knowing full well they can't even read the lines themselves

8- convincing the younger, more gullible Demeter kids to grow weed

9- bribing the Hephaestus kids into making me a gun that shoots celestial bronze bullets, because there is no way in Hades that I am about to go after monsters just wielding some pointy sticks

10- sneaking into the Hera cabin to sleep, because what do you MEAN I, a claimed daughter of Hermes, don't get a bed in my own daddy's house? Yeah, no, I'm staying over at grandma's, the goddess of motherhood. Smite me.

Percy:

Percy: ... this is a trap, isn't it? I name a god, and the rest get offended and kill me?

Random Interviewer: No, not at all! Though I can see why you'd think that. Here's a promise on the Styx for no retribution or revenge.

Percy: Huh. They must've been really interested to sign that. Alright, here it is; Aphrodite scares me the most.

The gods: *stunned into silence*

The gods: HER!?!?

Aphrodite: Finally, someone understands the power of love! Even some of my own children don't get it.

Hermes: I would've thought it would be Zeus? I know the number of times he calls for a vote to kill you bothers you.

Percy: It does, but Zeus has wanted me dead since he learned of my existence but its been five years and I'm still alive. My dad has been pretty successful at stopping him, so he's number three.

Poseidon: :)

Percy: :)

Hermes: Who's number two? Ares? Hades?

Percy: *snorts* no. Ares angers me. Hades...

Percy: *remembers how 12 year old Percy thought Hades looked powerful, graceful and mesmerizing*

Percy: The less said about him, the better. Athena's number two.

Athena: Number two to her!?!?!

Athena: *looks at Aphrodite in disgust*

Aphrodite: Hey!

Athena: Explain yourself, Jackson.

Percy: Anyone can make strategies, get knowledge or become wise. Not nearly as much as you, ofc, but those traits are common among mortals and immortals. Like I did with Typhon.

Hermes: *knows that it's a sore spot for Athena that it was Percy's plan that got rid of Typhon and not hers*

Hermes: BURN!! Want some ice for that?

Athena: *glowers with rage*

Percy: You can fight strategy with cunning and tricks and working outside the box.

Percy: But love? It's almost impossible to go against love. Love is the biggest motivator for doing anything. Have you guys ever tried to fight love? Have you ever tried not to love someone? My dad and Zeus's myths are full of them falling for... well. Almost everyone.

Percy: Have you ever tried to fight someone you really love? Even if you win, it tears you up inside and takes years to recover if you ever do recover.

Percy: Anyway that's why Aphrodite scares me the most.

The gods: *stunned speechless*

Poseidon: ... I feel like I should be offended? But he's right? Me and Zeus broke oaths on the Styx for love.

Aphrodite: *smug*

Percy:

Percy: While we're on this topic-

Percy: Please stop messing with my love life. First Annabeth, then Rachel, then Calypso and now Nico?? Next thing I know Grover will have a crush on me.

Aphrodite: If you want, that could be arranged-

So a while back you covered Nico being a child of Hades but a legacy of love, either Aphrodite or Venus whatever, and I figure with that he'd be something of a siren, drawing people into their deaths.

In light of the recent Mermay prompts, I offer you my wholehearted gratitude, because holy jesus mary joseph and all of his carpenter friends, this is brilliant!!! 🥺🥺🥺

Now. This is a lot to unpack, bc ngl my brain can come up with a bunch of things when it comes to the whole... love and death thing, so to speak. I... also don't know what, exactly, is the Poseidon/Nico thing I was doing at the time of this ask (Apr 18 - I'm so sorry anon 😭😭😭) so I guess I'll just... ramble.

A vision comes to me upon reading this (wow it sounds like Rachel). The concepts of Love, Death, Siren. And I think of a vortex. Or a black hole, maybe?

It's kinda hard to explain. By definition, a vortex is a mass of air or water that spins around very fast and pulls objects into its empty center.

I mean it as in: when you lack something, you tend to seek it out, hold it in tighter, draw it in. Because you don't have it, so you desire it more than ever. And the force by which you pull it in must be enough to win over anything that's keeping you away from it.

What does Nico have to do with it? Well - and this involves quite a lot of my headcanons - Nico's a born extrovert with lots of love to give. He craves affection. He wants to be loved. But things happen and love is the last thing he's given throughout the story. He keeps giving away without receiving, and it creates a vacuum inside his chamber of a heart. And when the time comes that someone pokes a hold in it, or it just... breaks - the air - which, in this case, is Love - gets sucked into it.

Overall, a siren is a predatory creature (?) who feeds on sailors. But, have you ever considered a story of loneliness? - In which, perhaps, the deserted, abandoned siren crying out for acceptance at the bottom of the ocean, hoping for the love they have lost their hope in having?

It's like a water vortex. It sucks you into the deep, into its empty center, drowning you meters under the water's surface - like a Siren pulling you down, down to your death - Death, because that's what Nico is.

He pulls you to Death, to where he's locked in and what he is - to keep you with him.

Which brings us to Poseidon.

Ngl Happy would do this better than me. A lot. LMAO. He had a whole thing about Poseidon/Nico which I'm pretty sure I can never compete with (not that I want to. I'm very much happy leeching of his content 👀🥺). Highly recommend going for his blog if you like Poseidon/Nico btw.

But anwwwww we're here and you've chosen me of all people to ask. So.

Poseidon. Obviously, he isn't scared of sirens. And I'm pretty sure he can take some water disasters or whatnot.

He's also staying at the bottom of the ocean. Well, that saves a trip to your lover. Yeah I think it'd be kinda nice, you know? - you call out from the depths of darkness and crushing pressure, only to have someone amidst that darkness and pressure come to you.

And surely Poseidon has enough water to fill that emptiness at the heart of that vortex, don't you think?

I think it'd be nice. Atlantis is basically the wetter version of the Underworld anyway.

I wish I could provide some headcanons but my back hurts, so let's just hope Happy catch winds of this and idk maybe feeds us with his own input... 😭😭😭

I get the criticism of the Hunters of Artemis from a narrative perspective—it sucks that it essentially boots interesting female characters out of the story—but it always baffles me when people viciously hate Artemis for *checks notes* doing damage control.

Like. Thalia explicitly goes with Artemis to avoid the prophecy, and I definitely think that’s the reason Artemis tried so hard to get her to join—hell, you can view the hunters trying to recruit Annabeth as a way to get Thalia to join. And Bianca? You can’t convince me that Artemis didn’t guess there was something up there and react accordingly.

If Percy or Nico were even a little bit girl-adjacent you bet your ass she would be all over them to join. No one actually wants to risk the Great Prophecy happening, and Artemis is doing a hell of a lot more to stop it than anyone else.
