imagine annabeth's pain in the botl when she realizes she has to return to camp by herself. imagine annabeth's pain as she recalls the look on grover and tyson's faces when the four of them split in groups of two, not really knowing if they'll see each other again. imagine annabeth's pain as she recalls the way percy lied about having a plan, about the way his lips felt when she kissed him, about the way he screamed as the telekhines burned him alive. imagine annabeth's pain as she walks into camp and people congratulate the group for surviving, and then pause when they notice she's alone. imagine annabeth's pain as she trudges over to athena cabin, crawls into her bunk, and buries herself in the covers for days on end.

always and forever love and cherish annabeth chase for proving to my 14-year-old self that being a super-intelligent badass that people admire and look up to can co-exist with the part of you that is upset and insanely jealous when you find out that your best friend and boy you've been in love with since you were 12 is friends with other girls.

because fr she watches him stand there like a dead fish while this rando writes her number on his hand, says it's fine, and then replies with one-syllable answers every time he tries to talk to her for like a whole 24 hours.

he's out here acting like he doesn't even want to know this girl, and she's out here like fine, if you know another girl what if i'm just super rude to her and then don't talk to you for the rest of your life. what then?

the best part is that she's so mad at him because he knows other girls, and then mad at herself for being mad at him for knowing other girls and he's so oblivious as to why she's mad because to him she's the only girl ever.

the pjo series is low key just "Percy tried so hard to mind his own business, but annabeth's problems are also his business"

with percy and annabeth already looking like a married couple i cannot wait to see percy returning from calypso’s island in tbotl and annabeth looking like she wants to punch him and instead hugging him so fiercely

Then I turned back to Antaeus. “Why don’t you fight me yourself? If you’ve got Dad’s favor, come down here and prove it!”  The monsters grumbled in the stands. Antaeus looked around, and apparently realized he had no choice. He couldn’t say no without looking like a coward.

Currently re-reading the PJO series and this scene just made me smile so much I had to draw it. I absolutely pictured Percy completely annoyed, using his sword to point at Antaeus for emphasis and then having a smirk when his taunt works.

I will be uploading an alternate version of this with Walker!Percy’s blonde hair at some point soon😁

I love Annabeth Chase 😭😩🫡

Imagine the heartache of the demigods at Camp Half Blood whose friends left to join Kronos. Did the departed whisper goodbye? Try and convince their friends to join them? Or did those left behind wake up one morning to find the empty bed of another sibling? To see another empty spot on the bench at breakfast? No warning. No note. No need to wonder, because everyone knows where they went. Did the Hermes kids wake up one morning and realize that their cabin, the home of unclaimed demigods, felt spacious for the first time in years?

At the battle of Manhattan, how did it feel to look across enemy lines and see your sibling? A best friend? A crush? A familiar face from across the campfire?

Did Kronos’ army help you feel at home on your first day at camp? Did they carry you to the infirmary after a nasty game of capture the flag? Were they your first kiss? Did they place a steadying hand on your back as you climbed up the rock wall, making sure you were safe? 

As demigods on both sides of the war drew their swords, was it like looking in a mirror? How must it have felt, to be prepared to fight and kill someone just like you?

I think my favorite Annabeth moment in the series is when the camp believed Percy has died, and they were having a memorial service in his name and Annabeth was crying her eyes out while saying “He was probably the bravest friend I’ve ever had. He…..HE’S RIGHT THERE!” because she looked up at that moment to see the alleged dead dumbass boy she fell in love with standing awkwardly behind the crowd staring back her. Literally a this moment.
