annabeth's childhood was bad. Everybody knows it they all know what happened they all know the found family that became her tragedy. They know. But do they really ? The jackson family and the chase family know that annabeth might have suffered more than they know. Annabeth has never spoken a word of those months between her first leaving home with nothing but a hammer and meeting luke and thalia with a now new dagger in hand. She stayed tight lipped about those months where she had nothing but herself and her mother's voice. It drives Percy crazy.

yeah it’s crazy to think that there is probably so much that we, and the people in her life, don’t know. i’m sure she’s told percy nearly everything behind the scenes, but i bet no one else knows the entire story. i can see thalia being the one to tell people, including percy, stories from her point of view and people just being heartbroken

i really hope rick dives into percy’s feelings on her childhood more in future books. even if it’s just a few comments. i want to know how he really feels.

percy is an incredibly skilled sword fighter. and it's safe to say that he doesn't just train with riptide. because only training with his god-given weapon would be incredibly irresponsible (and annabeth would never let him develop that crutch). so i have to assume he proficient enough to hold his own with any elongated tool he can get his hands on. and it has to come in handy in the funniest way. like imagine percy and annabeth playing tag. and he just grabs the nearest paper towel roll and 🤺🤺 her hands to she can't lay a finger on him.

I just think it's funny how Rick Riordan must have done SO MUCH research about different cultures and communities, doing his best to be respectful in his representations.

yeah i know everybody has said this or thought this before. will that stop me from making paragraphs after paragraphs? no.

annabeth and percy are actually the perfect duo.

no i don’t just mean in their relationship.

annabeth, (being the daughter of athena and all) will always be the one coming up with attack strategies or tricks. but…percy is so good at actually pulling them off.

in one book she says she’s all ideas, not mechanics. while she might be a good fighter, she isn’t as good as percy. whatever insane idea she might have, percy will do it. he’s also brave, which helps with the fact that most of her ideas involve distractions and lots of fighting and trickery.

not that he’s not smart and he can’t do anything like that. but, with many books as an example, he likes simply charging in. he doesn’t really go in with a “strategy.” most of the time it works out anyway because he’s *super* powerful.

but think of how many times he would’ve been absolutely obliterated if annabeth hadn’t kept him on the right track. she thinks ahead. he thinks moments before he gets his face socked in. i just think this is another reason that they’re perfect together. annabeth is basically just telling him what to do while he obliterates everyone. you cannot tell me otherwise.

(P.S.- i was reading the demigod files and got this idea cause we’ve all thought this, but i just realized how big it is.)

everybody knows that on the 13th of July Annabeth Chase is never around she vanishes to gods know where. This has confused Percy for years why would annabeth leave the day after her birthday ? When frederick and ms chase learn of this they flinch Percy forces them to tell what they know and they admit that it's the day Annabeth ran away... Sally slapped them after that and no matter how hard her loved ones tried Annabeth never stayed during that day.

okay but percy calling the minotaur 'ground beef' is so diabolical. because imagine being the well-known. undefeatable. half-bull half-man. seven foot tall monster. prancing around in your fanciest fruit of the loom tighty whities. and this twelve year old. with no objective experience in swordfighting. whose mom you just violently squished to death. calls you a feast for carnivores. the important part of a taco. the beef of the wellington. i would have gave up.

i hope that they have walker in the position and stance he was in when he first fought the minotaur. maybe flashback to the scene in season one when percy seemed to determine to eliminate the threat but unsure of his capability. and then back to season five when percy is staring down the bull guy with nothing but hair-raising anger.

i see your vision and i fuck with it so hard. this makes the most sense ever. like canonically this definitely what happened. but it'll also feel so natural for the show to take this route. genius.

and if we don't get a girly lil montage of annabeth's makeover on circe's island with cutesy music in the background in s2, then what's the point??

like imagine. it's percy in a really tight situation rn. he's tempted by his humane insecurities, risking trusting a suspicious primordial goddess. but he's choked, because he wants to be perfect. he wants to be enough. we see a torn expression on walker's face. indecision and doom is hanging in the atmosphere.

then we cut to some pop music blaring in the background. leah's lips are touched up with lipstick a close up shot. her cheeks are brushed with powdered pink. we see her spinning around in some dresses while giggling with the servants (+reyna cameo). she's shooting star eyes at the mirror with someone gives her a grand reveal of her new gorgeous hairstyle.

oh, where were we again? oh yeah. we cut back to percys life or death situation or whatever.

I don’t know how Disney expects Percy Jackson fans to survive next season. We barely survived episode 5, and now you want us to watch our children go through even more heartbreak? You want me to just sit there as Percy holds Annabeth at the bottom of the ocean? You want me to stare at the screen as a 13-year-old girl sobs about how all she wants is to have something permanent in life? You better include a tissue set with that subscription.

the necklace exchange has to be one of my favorite scenes in the show. because in the books. annabeth gives percy her necklace to symbolize that she'll fight beside him in the face of adversity. when he's about to fight ares. but in the tv series. ares was never the real threat. percy whooped his ass in two seconds flat. the real threat was zeus. zeus is at the head of the neglectful system of which the gods use their children's as pawns to do their bidding. and when percy compared him to a monster. something he has to dismantle or dethrone to survive. he is essentially setting a death sentence in motion. and annabeth. who has blindly followed in the gods footsteps since she was seven. who has done everything they've ever asked. who perceives her value as a person based solely on the gods approval. understood that. and to go from blindly following the gods into to battle. to figuratively fighting alongside percy in the face of adversity. is one of the the utmost expressions of faith between these two thus far. and i love it so much.

growing up is realizing that rachel was exactly who percy needed in that period of his life. because she knew enough about the demigod world that percy could confide in her about the responsibilities as the prophecy kid. but was also separate enough from the demigod world that she never placed him on a pedestal or pitied him for it. she never looked at him like he was a dead man walking. or expected him to become something more than himself to get the job done. say what you want about their relationship. but no one. not sally. not paul. not poseidon. not chiron. not grover. and definitely not annabeth. could have been for percy what rachel was for him.

like maybe the plan was to dunk percy in the water but they couldn’t find annabeth so they showed up late just to witness the kiss some kids probably cried a little but clarisse was like “sick now i can dunk BOTH of them” so that’s what they did
