How many prompts will be posted for each day?
• Three
Do I have to include all the prompts in my work?
• Not at all! Feel free to combine them or to only pick one. We simply ask that you note on your work which Day/Prompt you’re creating for.
Is there a certain structure I have to follow with the prompts?
• The prompts are up for interpretation! Create whatever sparks your inspiration, so long as your work is mainly about JayRoy.
Am I allowed to create anything?
• You can create fanfic, fanart, comics, mood boards, playlists, aesthetics, headcanons, meta, dolls - almost anything you can think of.
• The EXCEPTION: You may NOT take photography of human subjects (including in cosplay) as we have no way of verifying the age and consent of human subjects. Want to take photographs of your Legos or action figures? No prob!
• ALSO: While this is a censorship-free event, using live or photographic/videographic references of minors for artwork is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. If we discover that this has happened, you will be reported to the appropriate authorities. The mods of this event stand firmly against child abuse and exploitation.
Can I have poly and multi ships?
• Yes! All manner of ships are welcome here, so long as your overall work is JayRoy-centric. You can write Kori/Jason/Roy,or whatever poly ships that you like!
Do I have to make something for every single day?
• Not at all! You’re free to crank out all seven days, or only pick and choose which days you create for. So long as you have fun, it’s all good! No need for stress.
What type of content is allowed and what isn’t?
• There is no restriction for this event! Anything goes for this particular week. You can use any canon, part of canon, or AU centric plots for your work.

• One who is open to many different types of plots/settings and not scared of potential dark themes/explicit topics/gore/toxic themes. I want more story-driven rps rather than pure smut. My guys are switches and power (dom) bottoms. I do not write as or against submissive/uwu characters. I expect you to put in equal effort. I will not be driving a one-man ship here. If you do not want smut at all, I'm open to platonic relationships, too! No judgment here.
• If you are someone who does not enjoy in-depth storytelling, character development, plotting, gushing over OC's, dynamics of our OC's, playlists, Pinterest Boards, etc, then we will not be a good match. Harry Potter (Marauders Era after graduation only): I’m open OCxCC and CCXCC I adore world-building for this one and bending Canon to fit our liking. I do also prefer to have multiple characters and moving parts in these plots in the background.
Criminal Minds: I’m open OCxCC, CCXCC. ABO and Poly ship here as well. I like to have a nice blend of slice of life and other things with a little bit of casework. Basically the reverse to what the show gave us.

182,581 at the moment! But I have thousands upon thousands more in WIPs that I should probably post at some point. lol

Mostly Final Fantasy XIV for the WoL x G'raha ship, but I'd love to publish some Karlach/Tav fics at some point for Baldur's Gate 3. (I have a high elf wizard that's in love with her.)

I do! Sometimes it takes me several days/weeks/months, but I always try to. Sometimes social batteries are low and it takes me a bit, but I read and appreciate every single one, and go back and read comments all the time to feel loved.
What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
My Lightwarden AU, Unrequited. It's a bad end to Shadowbringers in which Aedric turns into a Lightwarden. It's angsty, but also supreme monsterfucker. I went full-blast monsterfucker on this one. Still a favorite to this day.
What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Hm. Most of them? lol. I am a romance/fluff/erotica writer. They all have happy endings.
Do you get hate on fics?
Not really on fics themselves, but on social media. I just block though. *shrugs*
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Oh honey.
Yes. (That's an understatement.)
I seem to specialize in "soft nerds who are into BDSM/kink". I love soft service dom/sub who learns to let go and enjoy. I love the desperately horny. I love the enthusiastic consent. I love soul mates who fuck each other as if every breath, every touch, every movement of body against body is proof that they are here. That they are together. That they are loved and safe.
One of my favorite fics I've ever written is Verdancy, an introduction of sorts of Aedric & G'raha's dom/sub BDSM journey.
Though the most on-brand quintessential Aedric & G'raha smut is definitely Bibliophilia, in which the two nerds fuck in a library.
Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written?
I do not write crossovers, but I wouldn't be opposed to it! I'm not sure which crossover though lol
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.

Not to my knowledge, but I'd be 100% okay with it if I'm asked first!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
In a way? I have a small WIP with my friend (he doesn't have an XIV Tumblr, but he's on AO3 as Indasha) in which our two WoLs and G'raha are bound together as the three Fates. So a bit of a poly ship. (Gee, Aedric, how come you get two catboys? lol) My friends and I had a vaguely Greek Gods AU. If people want, I can post snippets and screenshots from it? Just send me an ask if interested, I guess haha
What's your all-time favorite ship?
Seeing as how this is my XIV/writing blog, it's very obviously WoL x G'raha Tia. 🥺 They mean so much to me.
What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I intend to finish every single of my WIPs, and I never consider them abandoned. Ever. Instead, I'll give a preview of what I'm currently working on, when I have time to write lately:
- Vampire AU (we all know this lol)
- A fic about shibari/bondage called Vermilion. G'raha ties Aedric up. G'raha POV.
- His Inflorescence, part 2. I'm over halfway done.
What are your writing strengths?
I think my strengths are showing moments of intimacy and vulnerability. People have told me I'm good at combining the horny with the soft, too.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Writing scenes with more than two characters lol
Also, dialog. I always feel like I'm horrible at it.
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I speak French, but don't know where that would ever come up in my fics? (Maybe Ishgardian curse words lol)
First fandom you wrote for?
Oh boy. When I was 17 years old, I wrote two fanfics for Axis Powers Hetalia. I liked Sweden/Finland. I'm no longer in that fandom, but they're still a very cute ship to me, even after 13 years.
Favorite fic you've ever written?
While I love most of my fics, Hunger, my Vampire AU, is my favorite of all time for many reasons. It's the first fic in which I wrote an original plot that's not influenced by canon events at all. It's going to be the length of a novel, when finished, most likely. Once it's done, I may stick it back into the writing soup and let it simmer and see if an original novel comes out of it. Who knows.

Single most predictable thing, single most infuriating. Absolutely no reason to do it except people hating on the idea of protagonists staying disabled and I WILL take that rage to the grave.

My first impression of the game was, indeed, What the Fuck. My continued impression of the game is, tbh, still "Okay, what the fuck" but it's a game that -- like every Zelda -- takes its premise, goes, "Okay hear me out--" and owns it hard, in every respect. It's a fantastically batshit game, but its not worse than Twilight Princess Occoo. It honestly makes significantly more sense than them, in fact, and him and Zelda are absolutely adorable.
It's an earnestly sweet game that is exactly what it meant to be, and I gotta give it credit for that. More games should be like that.
23. Ship you've unwillingly come around to
God this is a hard one. I have like three categories of Zelda ships: Absolutely Yes, Hell No, and Meh. The Hell No don't move, and the Meh aren't really worth commenting on.
Some of the ZeLink ships are more or less compelling to me, but for the most part I can take or leave them depending on circumstances. I've gone back and forth on BOTW/TOTK ZeLink because there was some degree to which I found the incesant shouting of it being for sure annoying, but I've found myself a happy medium with cute poly nonsense so I guess I'll go with that one.
Zelda/Magda, Link/Zelda, & Link/Misko.
And whoever else they invite to dinner that week.

Frying pangle for the ship bingo?

TLDR at end of post!
Gonna be real with you, I think the biggest shock I've had coming back to the fandom was finding out that Hima retconned Prussia and Austria to be cousins. I literally found this out like. 2 or 3 weeks ago.
Hetalia's been out for well over a decade now and PruAus/Frying Pangle have always been relatively popular. Or at least they are to someone who was deep in the trenches 2014-2017/18. I shared this Fun Fact with my friends who also Did Their Time in the fandom at the same time/before I did, and all of them are like. Huh? I can understand why Hima went and made Austria and Prussia related considering (gestures at map, language, and history book), but I don't accept it. I think of all the things to retcon... this one came far too late in the game, especially for long time fans. I get that it could've been assumed prior to 2021, but,,, man that's a whole decade before Hima decided to blatantly state it. From what I heard, he confirmed it in the 10th anniversary collezione? My feelings about Frying Pangle are a little difficult now that I know this, but I really do think that this was something retconned far too late in the game.
I don't see Gil and Rod to be cousins. I never have. I never will.
However, for the newer fans and people accepting of the change, I totally understand if Frying Pangle makes you uncomfortable. If I were a newer fan, I would be in that crowd. It's just,,, I know Hima is constantly retconning things, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse, but I really really believe this one came far too late.

To describe Rod & Gil's relationship...
There is SO much tension here. They are enemies, they are rivals, they are frenemies. I definitely think they have some soft moments, but they are far and few in-between. However, I wouldn't go so far as to say Erzse is the glue holding them together. All three of them are so interwoven with one another that it wouldn't be fair to say one is the leader of the group over the others. Though... Erzse does wear the pants.
I think there's a lot of tension in the group. Gil butts heads with Erzse and Rod a lot, but I think his relationship with both of them individually is stronger than Erzse and Rod's relationship.
Also??? Erzse and Gil are absolute chaos gremlins and Rod is just. There. Someone help him.
I also just have deep attachment to the three of them as a unit, romantic or platonic. The friends I ran my Hetalia Instagram account with and I attached ourselves to a Frying Pangle member each (I was Hungary). For our 800 or 900 follower thank you post, I drew the three of us (badly) as them!
TLDR: The 10yr anniversary is too late to confirm Austria and Prussia to be related in my books. I found out about this literally October 7th 2023. It is October 23 2023. I found Hetalia in early 2014. I don't see them as cousins because I have 9 years of history with them. I don't mind Frying Pangle and still enjoy them due to personal memories and their fun dynamic.
