question cuz I'm bored; What would you be in the Magix dimension, assuming all options were available and non gender restricted? Witch, Fairy, Wizard or Specialist? And in the case of the first two, what would your power be? If you're interested I also have personal headcannon world building ideas for what each of those things entails, as the show seems pretty vauge on it and even looking at the wiki can only get me so far, so I kinda took what little canon information there seems to be and built off that.
FAIRY OFCCCC i need my own transformation bubble where i get to do poses and feel confident!! it also feeds into my carnal need to be wearing bright pretty outfits whenever possible :)
i have two versions of self inserts, in the first i made when i was younger and more reserved im the fairy of words (analytical nature and expansive vocabulary), but now that im more jubilant and not taking myself so seriously i made a new version where im the fairy of emotions (having immense value for all my relationships, believing the point of life is to love, in therapy lmao)
the best set of rules around magic i can garner from the original series is that fairies fuel their powers using positive feelings, while witches get power from negative ones, and everyone else is just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ cause its not a male centric series
i really like the worldbuilding emsartwork does tho!! she has a whole system behind how different magic users channel magic, like fairies and witches having a core they outwardly direct through either a feedback loop of wings and a heightened magic state of transformations (fairies) or through controlled practice and various means to let it flow through like words and books or other enchanted items (witches)
THEN for male magic users they have to channel the ambient magic through them and there are a bunch of different classes based on what you use (wizards use a particular item, sorcerers use their bodies, etc), but intersex and trans people are also worked into the lore its so cool!

Embracing Chaos: A Pantser's Guide to Crafting Compelling Fiction
Planning a story when you're a pantser (someone who writes "by the seat of their pants" without extensive outlining) can be a creative and fluid process. Here are some steps to help you plan a fic, even if you prefer to write without a detailed outline:
Start with an idea. Begin with a basic idea or concept for your fic. It could be a character, a situation, a setting, or even a specific scene that's been floating around in your mind.
Character Sketches: Develop your characters. Write down their names, physical descriptions, personalities, and backstories. Even if you don't plan everything in advance, knowing your characters well can guide your writing as you go.
Set your goals: Determine what you want to achieve with your fiction. Is it a short story, novella, or novel? What's the central theme or message you want to convey? Understanding your goals can give your writing direction.
Identify Key Plot Points: Instead of a detailed outline, focus on identifying key plot points or moments you want to include in your fic. These could be major events, conflicts, or turning points. Think about the beginning, middle, and end.
Create a Loose Timeline: Organise your key plot points in a loose chronological order. This will help you maintain a sense of structure without stifling your creativity. You can rearrange or add new points as you write.
Develop Themes and Motifs: Consider the themes and motifs you want to explore in your fic. These can help guide your writing and give it depth. Themes could be love, friendship, redemption, etc.
Write a First Scene: Start with the opening scene or chapter. This will help you dive into the story without feeling overwhelmed by the entire plot. As you write, let the characters and situations evolve naturally.
Follow Your Characters: Allow your characters to guide the story. As you write, pay attention to how they react to situations and make decisions. Sometimes, the best plot twists come from character-driven choices.
Embrace Revision: Understand that your story may evolve and change as you write. Don't be afraid to revise and rewrite parts of your fic to maintain consistency and improve the overall narrative.
Use Writing Prompts: If you ever get stuck or need inspiration, consider using writing prompts. They can help you generate new ideas and keep the creative juices flowing.
Beta Readers or Feedback: If you're comfortable with it, share your work with beta readers or writing groups. They can provide valuable feedback and suggestions to help you refine your fiction.
Stay Open to Change: Be open to making major changes if the story naturally takes a different direction than you initially planned. Sometimes, the best stories come from unexpected twists.
Trust the Process: Remember that everyone's writing process is different. Embrace the pantser approach if it works for you, and trust your instincts as a writer.
Writing as a pantser can be an exciting and spontaneous journey. While it may require more revisions and editing along the way, it often leads to unique and organic storytelling. So, start writing and let your creativity flow freely!

FUN FACT: Did you know Frieza had a finite amount of soldiers on Namek? (And he doesn't kill his troops.)
Also Appule is kind of important and there's a clearly marked place where Goku's six-day space journey happens in the timeline?
I have a laundry list of grievances with the Dragon Ball and DBZ animes. We're here to talk about one of those right now! The Z anime gives Frieza infinitely respawning soldiers that just seem to pour out of his ship whenever he needs them.
This interferes with a key plot point of Frieza's portion of the Namekian Dragon Ball hunt: That Frieza, for all his power, is rendered helpless when his attack on Moori's village goes south.
See these guys?
Tumblr media
These guys ruin Frieza's entire goddamn week.
Tumblr media
Get his ass, my Namekian thembruhs.
A consistent weakness of Frieza's forces is that they fight blind. By this point in the series, characters on Earth have been taught advanced fantasy martial arts involving manipulation of ki or chi. They can concentrate ki into attacks more powerful than the wielder, sense ki in other beings and feel incoming attacks without having to see them, suppress ki to become invisible to ki detection, etc. etc.
The Earthlings are goddamn amazing at ki manipulation, and the Namekians are just as good.
Tumblr media
But Frieza's Planet Trade Organization represents the uncaring hand of capitalism. There is no artistry in their methods. There is no true discipline or understanding. They're a bunch of paid thugs with guns, looking to gentrify planets for their boss: a real estate mogul. So they rely on fallible technology that fails time and time again when put up against experienced martial artists.
Tumblr media
The battle at Muri's village is no exception, as Frieza's forces get slaughtered by the "harmless" interlopers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With only the elites vaguely understanding, from second-hand accounts, what they're seeing here.
Tumblr media
Which, in turn, gives Muri the opening he needs to cripple Frieza's campaign by destroying the Scouters they're using to track down Namekian villages.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Muri's checkmate. Muri destroys the Scouters, the technology Frieza relies on to find Namekian villages on this planet and take their Dragon Balls. Meanwhile, his reinforcements wipe out Frieza's army.
Tumblr media
That guy right is the only survivor of the massacre.
This is Appule. If you've ever wondered why Appule was so important that he got to be his own distinct character in Tenkaichi 3, this is why. Appule is the last grunt left standing.
Though Dodoria makes short work of the Namekian warriors, the damage is done. Frieza's lost his Scouters and he's out of manpower. He's going to have to fan his men out to search the planet, a planet larger than Earth, by looking around with their eyes. And the only men he has left to do that are Zarbon, Appule, and Dodo--
Tumblr media
...are Zarbon and Appule.
So. Y'know. Frieza is two deaths short at this point of being completely and utterly fucked sideways.
As his two remaining men set out to search, Zarbon takes great care to tell Appule not to do anything that might get him killed.
Tumblr media
It is absolutely pivotal for Frieza's campaign that these two live. There is no one else on this planet who can do the job. It's Appule who ultimately succeeds in finding the last Namekian village.
Tumblr media
For some reason, in their eagerness to rewrite the story so that there are far more soldiers on Namek for some reason, the anime makes this Appule's vampire cousin?
Tumblr media
Uh. Okay, man. Sure. In any case, it's Appule who finds the village and Appule who reports its destruction to Frieza. He's not a significant character by any stretch, but you can see why he warrants a bit more name recognition than Frieza Soldier #72. He has more impact on the plot that Cui does, that's for damn sure.
Too bad about Vegeta though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a lot easier for Vegeta to get away with this gambit in the manga than it is in the anime. In the anime, somehow the infinitely respawning Frieza soldiers (who he regularly kills for funsies) flooding the halls don't give away the fact that Vegeta's still here.
But with Appule dead, Zarbon and Frieza are the only people left alive in the ship. It's a lot easier to distract two people for a minute than a limitless garrison.
In the manga, this is the closest Frieza ever gets to team-killing one of his own soldiers. Once he realizes Vegeta has stolen all five of his Dragon Balls, has a sixth Dragon Ball stashed away, and is now just one Dragon Ball away from immortality while Frieza's blind and understaffed? All because Zarbon fucked up?
He says some shit.
Tumblr media
So. Yeah. He's not above killing his men when they fuck up so bad that they cost him immortality and give his most dangerous archnemesis the means to topple his empire and end him.
But that's a much higher bar to clear than shooting down his infinitely respawning dudes because, uh....
*checks notes* With the Ginyu Force on their way, Frieza can afford to kill his own guys because the Ginyus are better than them anyway. So he keeps them all in the ship and murders them for no reason despite the fact that Vegeta is actively making off with his Dragon Balls right this second and he has no idea to where.
Yeah. That's. Uh. That's a pretty significant story difference. In any case, Frieza's campaign grinds to a screeching halt when....
Tumblr media
That's it. That is the very last one. Frieza's campaign is sunk. Until the Ginyu Force arrives, Frieza has no forces and no resources left. He is an unbelievably powerful man, the most powerful in the universe, and the only way he could ever hope to catch up to Vegeta is by flying aimlessly around a colossal planet and looking for Vegeta with his eyes.
I've often heard people express confusion about where Goku's six-day transit is supposed to fit into the Namekian timeline. This, right here? This is it. At this moment, it's over for Frieza. For the next five days, he is soundly defeated. He's out of the race for the Dragon Balls entirely.
And the only reason Vegeta hasn't won the race is because of that one Ball Gohan smuggled away from him.
So Frieza, defeated, is forced to sit in his broken ship with his thumb up his ass and wait for reinforcement.
Tumblr media
Vegeta, with six Dragon Balls, is forced to sit on his balls with his thumb up his ass hoping the talented martial artist Earthlings currently suppressing their ki signatures get stupid and give him something to detect - knowing that if he leaves for a second, those little shits with the Dragon Radar might scoop 'em up from under him.
Tumblr media
While Gohan and Krillin, with ki signatures suppressed, make the five-day trek at minimum power to Saichoro/Guru.
Tumblr media
It's here. Right here. Where everything stops for five days to pass, and for Goku to approach the planet. All because Frieza ran dry on resources and manpower to keep up the hunt.

can i ask for a quick rundown of your mcd and/or mystreet rewrite? i’m a new follower and a tiny bit lost 😭
Ah, Ofc!! this will be a long post, because you said 'quick' and i just heard 'explain everything'. just because I don't know HOW to summarise everything, so I just explain what I can... which is too much.
each section will have a TL;DR if it's long, though.
So, the only rewrite I’ve actually, like, done so far is Amaranth (https://archiveofourown.org/works/31310384)
It’s an MCD rewrite, the first one I did, and it’s not **technically** related to my overall rewrite universe, though I’m not going to totally discredit it. It’s where I got a lot of my ideas, and it was sort of a first draft for me. It’s very similar to MCD, just with events changed to how I would have written them myself. Major change is that the Zane/aphmau engagement actually goes somewhere. My favourite change was the Pikoro arc tho for some reason bc it was just my first significant deviation from the original plot.
Now… cannibalism and cult stuff, yeah?
(Don’t read past this point if you are uncomfortable with discussions of human-on-human meat/organ consumption)
Lycoris Radiata (https://archiveofourown.org/works/50710504) is the only part of this current era of rewrite!Aphverse that has any content so far.
TL;DR for this section: i mostly just emphasised themes present in canon, there's cannibalism for magical reasons, Shad is more relevant early on, and there's a reason why characters look like that when i draw them, i promise. Also, cult stuff!
LR is an MCD rewrite, which has some lore changes. It begins with Avra (Aphmau) travelling with Visher, Garroth being angsty, and so on. Only the prologue and first chapter are currently posted, and you don't need to read Amaranth to begin it (though it will follow similar storylines later on). Basically, the main premise is that it’s kind of a criticism of imperialism, organised religion, and so on. Those are themes already present in original MCD, and so I… expanded. Blood Magic is the main magic focused on as well. It's the kind that Avra uses, and it's the kind that makes SKs function. Avra has to consume blood and meat (typically organ meat, preferably human) in order to have any amount of magic, and depending on what creature the meat comes from, also grants her some fun little magical extras. She also has a strong association with Judgement(Shad) in my rewrite, and there is a reason I draw them so often together. Most character changes you'll see have some lore-based backing for it. Characters who are made darker-skinned, or have had their haircolour changed, it's typically due to them belonging to a particular ethnic group that i made for Ru'Aun or Tu'La, which does impact their characters in the way that they obviously grew up under certain cultures. Sometimes it'll just be because I think it looks cool, or for visual/thematic parallels with another character. If you're ever curious as to knowing why i have certain characters looking the way I do, then just ask. Oh, also, people aren't just loyal to Avra because she's nice. there's like an actual cult thing that begins happening and to say there's some weird shit with that would be... underselling it.
A Royal Tale, and Mermaid Tales both fall into the timeline between LR and the MyS rewrite. they're quite insignificant series, but i decided to devote myself to being a completionist.
My plans for them aren't really set in stone yet, but I know i want to expand upon them and their lore a lot more, and they will eventually both fall into the, uh, cannibalism and murder theme of the rest of the rewrites. they'll likely be little side projects. I have trauma from ART tho. Show makes me *uncomfy*
Mystreet.... yayyyy...
No official name for the rewrite yet, I'm working on it.
TL;DR: If you let an edgy teenager write MyS but they also watched desperate housewives so they write some sitcom episodes on the side. Also, Avra needs that gross-tasting nailpolish that stops you from chewing on your nails... but like... all over her body.
Basically, MyS except they've always been reincarnations of their MCD (or LR, in this case) selves, with some residual trauma and habits because of that. I'm going to lean more into the darker seasons, even though Ik popular opinion is that the light-hearted ones were the best, and I'll just focus more on lore and stuff. PDH has a 17 year old Avra joining PDH, after being homeschooled for a while due to having some mental health issues. I'm going to go a little more 'general highschool drama' vibes, might have some mystery shit idk. Will be less cringe than canon, because yes, i'm cringe and i'm free, but even i have limits. The more lighthearted seasons might just be amalgamed into one big 'sitcom style' fic, which will be set before S4 and such, but i'll probably make lighthearted chapters between the serious ones. S4, Aphmau's Year, S5, S6 and Her Wish will be my main priority, and will go into the whole murder and cannibalism theme of LR. It'll already have been kind of expanded upon, because MyS!Avra has a bit of a habit of auto-cannibalism (eating the skin around her nails/on her fingers, on the inside of her cheeks and on her lips) which eventually just... goes a little crazy. There is gonna be cult stuff in MyS too, it just might present differently to how it does in LR. Or maybe similarly. Idk, depends on how you view it.

Mundane Kaya Sona timeline and links
(I'm just trying to organize what I've written so far and what I still need to write, but hey, links if you want to read)
Prologue: The Wizard arrives on earth. Rudapedi emergency-teleports in and finds himself in a rainstorm in Seattle, and panics because he's from a dry world. When exactly this takes place isn't exactly clear: it's months or years before The Crash.
The Crash (not written): A truck crashes somewhere in middle-america. The FBI gets involved when it's discovered to be carrying stolen US nuclear weapons, encased in carved white stone "coffins" marked in an unknown language.
Meeting the Wizard (not written): The FBI finds evidence of The Wizard though a language match in pictures taken by a former roommate. The wizard has moved out already, and when they track him down to a cabin in the woods, he escapes. They get his books.
Recruiting the Linguist: The FBI agent recruits the linguist to figure out the language in the books. She's reluctant but agrees. Lots of books are dropped off.
Magic Books? The number pages in the books changes based on who is reading them. I'm not certain if this is going to be included. I like it as a concept but I'm not certain it fits the story, but I already wrote it so I might end up stuffing it somewhere, and it seems to make sense here.
Presentation for the FBI (not written): The linguist meets back up with the FBI (weeks/months later?) and gives an update on her progress: There's two scripts at use in the books. One's for titles and special circumstances and she doesn't really have enough info to decode it, the other she's figured out. The books talk a lot about magic and an "Empire of Kaya Sona" that controls a lot of different places.
Post presentation off-record (not written): The FBI agent reveals The Crash to The Linguist, and follows up: they caught The Wizard. She thinks she can talk to him with how much she knows of the language so far. They set up a meeting.
Meeting the Wizard (partial snippet written: definitely needs more): She is able to talk to the wizard using a tablet and her language model. She is able to get him to translate the coffin markings: "Sword of Heaven", which is the epithet of the prince (and a pun: it's a nuke!). Possibly more info revealed here (such as why the Wizard is depowered), before...
9. The FBI attacked. The interrogation room is attacked by agents from the Kalic Empire. The power is cut and a magician and two crossbowmen are clearing the building. With some help from the wizard and linguist, the FBI agent disables them enough to re-power the wizard to takes them out.
10. Magical language snippet (written but not published?): The wizard used magic to let them communicate without the tablet, and the linguist realized that he's not speaking english, she's speaking Kalic. Not sure if this goes in, if I clean it up and publish, or if it gets rewritten into another chapter?
11. The escape: They're driving away in the rain, and the wizard is explaining why the coffins were transported by truck instead of magically (inter-world teleports go to fixed locations on the planet). He rants about healthcare and is still mad at the rain. One note here: I've written it as Jay driving, but as of the end of chapter 9 he probably has a concussion. Either he got better Really Fast or I should probably rewrite this so the linguist is driving?
And that's all that's really plotted at the moment. Some bits to fill in, and then I need to figure out what happens after this.
Somewhere around "chapters" (using this term very loosely) 8-11, the Kalic Empire also attacks the place where the coffins are being stored and gets them back, but I'm not really sure if that's going to be shown or just mentioned.
Other bits where I've written about this story:
Not a love story, and mana deficit is ADHD
Inspiration and questions
A question about the no-rain thing
Inspiration for the Prologue
An earlier chapter list with some differences
A long ago twitter thread that talks a little bit about the fundamental conflict between no-mana planets like Earth and magical planets like Kaya Sona, why Earth hasn't been invaded by a Magical Empire before, and how that peace is coming to an end.
Which reminds me of another thing I need to figure out: There's some events on Kaya Sona (the home world of the Kalic Empire) which explain why the wizard had to flee to Earth. That definitely needs to be explained, but I'm not sure yet if it'll be a flashback or if I'll just have The Wizard explain it. I might want to make this story entirely earth-based, rather than jumping back and forth between the mundane setting and the machinations of the royal court of a Magic Empire. It seems more fun to just have the magical empire in another dimension just be a big Outside Context Problem for modern-day earth.
Finally, NAMES:
The FBI Agent is named Jay (and his lastname is something like Jenkins/Johnson). The Wizard is Rudapedi Yonfer. The Linguist I don't think I've named yet in anything written, but I think her name is Sarah? And the Kalic Empire is ruled by House Nor. The current ruling empire is Typec Nor, the usurping prince is written as "Nemis" on my oldest story guidelines but I'll probably change that (IT'S JUST NEMESIS WITH A COUPLE LETTERS MISSING), and I can't remember the deposed prince's name. I gotta dig up some paper documents from like 1996 to figure that out... but I don't think he's going to be involved in this story much. He's been banished to some other world where he's fighting a guerilla war against somebody not very important to this story.
Random-note: This is unconnected to my 101 magical pistols setting. That one is really more for a bunch of short-stories and doesn't have an overarching narrative, plus their magic works differently. They're much more into magical items (mainly pistols, obviously) and don't have the whole rain/mana thing going on.

1, 17 and 21 for the writer's ask game?
1. Which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely?
Organic Chemistry, 100%. i flubbed the execution of that one very badly and wish i had written the entire thing before posting so the plot would be tighter. that said, in forcing myself to have a kind of "yes, and" mentality where i can't go back and fix the stuff i've posted while also maintaining a nonlinear timeline (there's the rub), i learned a lot about structure and character.
i'm still working on it! i don't have the next chapter written but i'm finished with the chapter after that, and then i think i only have two more? it's the biggest task of this year's WIP cleanout. which is not going nearly as well as last year's.
17. Past or present tense? Why?
i like both. since i write a lot of nonlinear stuff, present is usually used for the actual present timeline and past for the past timeline, although i still enjoy writing literary past for certain voices. i think my favorite voice to write in is first person present, because of the impossibility of it. a human mind can't narrate an experience in the present, and so there's always a kind of unreal distance that i think makes for weird vibes.
21. Can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? If you can, what's your secret?
I SURE CAN'T. i can tell how long *other* people's fics are going to be, if they give me a basic premise and a sample of their writing style. but as for my own fics, i only have an inkling of "this could be very long but i will not let it" and then 25k later i'm boned.

Hi! How are you doing ? What is your writing process like? I'm having trouble writing my stories. Also in your version, do you intend to make couples or romantic relationships important, or do you prefer to make everything platonic?
I’m doing awesome! Hope you’re doing good as well!
My writing process tends to vary depending on the projects, but when I go solo and am just working on a project by myself (Like with my Genshin rewrite) I jot down things in my notes app
To keep things organized, I bullet point worldbuilding, a timeline, and what I’m including in the story, which looks a lot like the image provided
OFC it doesn’t need to be as complex as that, I just ended up making it complex cause I was just feeling silly LOL
Now for relationships, I will canonize some ships (EX: Beigguang) but they won’t be a focus of the main plot, Lumine (Decided to make Lumine be the protag since she gets neglected by Hoyoverse) won’t have a love interest, since I feel like she’d be too busy trying to find her brother and find out what caused her and Aether to split apart all those years ago
Now here’s the note image for ref!

Flamebird in Gotham AU Timeline Thingy
(This post is apart of my Bette Kane is involved in Batman events au)
ok so. If this au ever comes into being as an actual published fanfic on my ao3 account, then here's how I might break down each event in fic form.
The first fic -> a Battle for the Cowl 2009, Batman and Robin 2009 rewrite centering Bette Kane becoming a part of Gotham City and taking in a Damian Wayne who has only met Bruce once before his death. Besides the events of the comics, there will be an overarching plot surrounding the conflict between Spyral and Leviathan. Concludes with Bruce coming back to life and the present.
The second fic -> a Batman Incorporated rewrite, bringing Leviathan and Spyral to the forefront and introducing Kate Kane as Batwoman. Also takes from Batman: Streets of Gotham. A war erupts in Gotham between the two organizations, forcing everyone to come together and pushing Damian to become Robin. Bette is forced to grapple with Kathy's betrayal as the leader of Spyral. Concludes with neither Damian or Talia dying.
The third fic -> A general reimagining of Robin: Son of Batman and Batwoman 2011. Bette decides to partner with Kate Kane as an equal. Damian decides to make things right. Everyone else makes their own changes. Bruce has to deal with it.

There's answers in the show for most of the questions you asked in this post: https://www.tumblr.com/haastera/746503109694652417/murder-drones-has-to-be-written-as-a-multi-season
The answers in question:
-How exactly did CYN make the Murder Drones (a better explanation than saying she used the solver)?
We see all throughout the series, particularly with V in episode 5 (and to a lesser extent, Uzi in episode 4), that they're regular drones physically mutated by the solver, starting more organic and then being refined into the "official" designs.
When exactly did CYN make the Murder Drones?
In-between being rescued by Tessa and causing the Elliot Manor massacre.
Where exactly did CYN make the Murder Drones?
The main 3 were "made" into Murder Drones in the Elliot Manor. Episode 6 reveals that she was specifically messing with them prior to their transformation in the basement area below the library.
What happened in-between the Gala massacre and Earth being destroyed?
We see in quick flashes that the singularity that eventually consumed Earth started in the manor, so presumably there wasn't much of a time gap there. Nothing of importance to the main story happened at least.
How exactly did CYN invade and corrupt other human exo-planets?
The Solver infects damaged hardware. Humans in other planets wanted to recreate it to find a cure, spreading it in the process.
-What does CYN even want beyond being hungry?
Not much. She just wants to consume everything, like your average Eldritch being.
-What's with the other two ships that arrived with Flesha?
According to Liam Vickers, they had plans to introduce more drones into the story when they made the pilot (which is when they teased the 3 pods arriving), but as they worked out their vision for the plot a little better, they decided to quickly dispose of 2 of the pods by having them crash and burn on arrival.
-What is the A.S really? An A.I or an ancient Outer god type entity?
It's stated (and show through its reality-rewriting abilities) multiple times that the Absolute Solver is an an Eldritch entity. It manifests as a mutation in the code of improperly disposed hardware, as Tessa explains in Episode 6. Cyn was the first instance of this mutation, so for all intends and pursposes, she's one with the Solver.
-What's the proper timeline of events?
Tessa rescues N, V, J. Then Cyn. Then the flashback stuff from episode 5 happens. Earth is destroyed. The Solver is brought over to the exo-planets by humans trying to find a cure. Nori and Yeva are infected. The flashback stuff from Episode 7 happens. Then the show starts.
-How does the Absolute Solver work?
Eldritch robot magic rewriting the code of reality.
-Why did JCJ arrive at the Elliot mansion to investigate?
A massacre happened involving their drones. It's their responsibility.
-Why is Flesha posing as a JCJ technician and does she have a direct connection to the company?
Tessa (secretly Cyn) became an actual technician working for the company. This allows her to have a proper motive for getting involved without raising suspicion.
-What is humanity's current state?
Interplanetary space-travelling race at a risk of being wiped out.
-Where did Flesha and Murder Drone J come from?
A human colony, either entirely spacial or in another planet.
-What was the Gala for?
Rich people stuff.
-Why does Flesha still have the mansion key on her keychain if it was destroyed years ago?
It's not like she needs to get rid of it.
-What happens to a Murder Drone's Eldritch form if CYN is no longer their admin?
If they were already in that form, they would retain control of it - we see multiple times in the show that the drones can still use the Solver's abilities without Cyn hijacking them. If they weren't in that form, then they wouldn't get into that form at all.
-What happened to Thad in Ep4?
Literally nothing.
-How did Nori survive and make it to Cabin Fever Labs?
Khan broke her to put her out of her misery after she was infected with one of the Murder Drones' acid stingers. Her core wasn't destroyed, so it was able to escape.
-Why didn't Yeva also survive if Nori could?
V didn't let her core escape.
-What's with JCJ's motto?
Generic corporate stuff + comedy.
-How accurate was Ep5 to what really happened at the mansion?
The stuff with J, V, Cyn, and Tessa is accurate. Anything involving Uzi and N (after he's fed to the crows) is not accurate. To put it simply: J, Cyn, and Tessa are locked up, V is turned into a Murder Drone, Tessa and J try to stop Cyn, Cyn kills everyone in the Gala (including presumably Tessa).
-Is the text about the Cabin Fever Cathedral already being there a joke or serious?
It's supposed to be funny but it's also the canon explanation for why the lab was an underground cathedral.
-Does J know about Tessa really being Flesha?
No. She was confused when Tessa ordered her to stay behind in episode 6, and reported back to Tessa for them to leave at the end of episode 7, despite what she was currently doing.
-Did N, V and J always have their personalities as Murder Drones or just their Copper 9 versions? If they always had them why bother with the corporate cover story?
Their personalities are transferred to their back-up bodies. Only 1 version of them is active at a time. Their "Copper 9 versions" are the only versions active during the show.
-Why was nanite acid introduced as a powerful weapon only to never be used?
Liam and Glitch didn't have a fully concrete plan for the story when they made the pilot.
-What happened to the original N, V and J? Where did they go after the mansion incident?
For all intends and purposes, they're the same N, V, and J that we see in the show. It's unclear if it's the same bodies or not. If they're not the same bodies, then the originals just got destroyed at some point and they were transferred into new ones. And if it is the same bodies, then we see what happened to them: the plot of the show happened.
-Did J fight Nori in the past?
It is impossible that she did but if she did, it's irrelevant the story, so we can assume it didn't happen. It's just a headcanon.
-Why does Khan say he had a kill all humans phase when he was younger?
Because he had an edgy phase where he wanted to kill all humans.
-When and where did N kill Nori?
After Uzi was born, after the Murder Drones landed, after the doors were built, before the show starts. Somewhere in Copper 9 (doesn't matter where).
-What's the purpose of the corpse spires?
The spires were made for the reason that dead drones have a small chance of rebooting with cyns AI in them and that means high power solvers under her command across planets.
-What Solver entity was at Camp 98.7 in Ep4?
"Tessa" (Cyn). We see her corpse stalking Uzi, presumably for the same reason Doll was stalking her: getting the key to Cabin Fever Labs.
-What's up with Flesha's star patch?
Nothing? It's just a patch.

Things To Look Forward To On This Blog In 2024!
So yes. This year did not go at all as planned. I spent it dealing with long haul COVID symptoms that sapped my energy and my concentration, dealing with being homeless and getting burnt out running @wipbigbang this year (also COVID related...I love the BB, it's coming back next year, but running it wore me the fuck out this year...and I didn't even finish any of my planned fic for it!).
But there is good news: I wrote a fic today. I made graphics. I am slowly getting my creative spirit back! I have some stuff planned for the new year, provided I don't overdo it, and here's some of what I have planned:
A new series revolving around Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and BBC Sherlock, as suggested to me by my enabler @dreaminonao3. How is it going to work, you ask? Easy: it's set during "The Abominable Bride" era of Sherlock, in the 1800s, when Phryne and Mac are ten and Sherlock has need of new Irregulars. Dremin looked at the timeline and I jumped at the chance to write this. It is going to also incorporate an AU version of Ms. Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries as well, as this fic is going to span all of Phryne's life except what we explicitly saw in the series (no movie for this series). I'm really looking forward to working on this series.
More of the "In Our Neck Of The Woods" series, which is going to span from way back in pre-series through an AU BBC Sherlock series 4 (I'M GONNA KILL JOHN AND LET MARY LIVE BWAHAHAHA!!!), crossing over with British shows like Midsomer Murders, Inspector Lewis, Murder In Suburbia; Australian shows like Mr & Mrs Murder and MFMM; the American crime procedural Criminal Minds and probably more! I have crazy ass plans for this series, but a HUGE focus of it is going to be the Mycroft/Lestrade ship. I eventually plan to finish "Every British Village Has Its Secrets" in 2024, but I'm going to start writing this out of order because I have Ideas and I'm tired of waiting to finish the casefic.
More beneath the cut!
CSIverse fic! I'm not going to write new stuff, probably, but I will finish posting the parts of my Danny Messer fic which seems to be popular (it's finished, I just need to format the future chapters for AO3, and I've misplaced my files), and I will start moving over more character bios for Nothing's Like Before/All Grown Up's OCs and start organizing those series and posting them. Plus I have a ton of other fic from LJ I need to post on AO3, so I'm going to try and average posting ten CSIverse fic a month for my various series and standalones and stuff.
I will be revisiting my older series. I mean, my OLD older series. Ones I started in my Wholock mania, BBC Sherlock series with only a small handful of fics, maybe even some of my Bleach series if I can figure out how to watch it on Hulu. I am also, because I binged them and miss my people and OCs and stuff, be adding more to "Stuff Of Improbable Legends" and "Saviors Of Time And Space" for @posterofamyth since I don't have the energy or creative capacity to dive back into actual roleplaying just yet. I'll be moving over story logs, filling in events that are mentioned in game but not logged, and adding newer content with the various ships and characters I grew to love when I was roleplaying. These will be fewer each month than the stuff I'm moving over, but I'm going to try!
More Star Trek AOS stuff. I have plans to add to "What Stork Brings" in January, I'm going to write more of "Academy Days," and I'll work on updating the Star Trek TOS movie "The Undiscovered Country" rewrite after I refresh my memory on the movie plot by watching it. @greenskyoverme is going to be dictating what I update and when for most of the stuff, as she's requested it as repayment for the multitudes of help she's given...
...That being said, I also plan on writing (hopefully) two stories a month in the "Between The Stars" series that I use Aurora Hliday in, as she is a OC of @luminarysketches and I'm commissioned to write at least 20K worth of stories (but I love Ro so this is not a daunting task, aside for the long haul stuff). Now, I'm going to hopefully get in touch with them soon to get more story ideas as well as have a bio for Aurora posted with the series in the series page link so you guys can learn all about her, so this one may not start until a little later in 2024.
More MCU! @dreaminonao3 has given me well over 1,000 prompts and a shit ton of them are my various MCU pairings I have series for so I will start using them to update the various series I have started. I got a ton of prompts specifically for "Just Pieces On The Board" so be on the lookout for those!
Provided I can get space and time to write, I am probably going to do a few month-long challenges. I may not do every day, but if I start one I will try and finish it before 2025 dawn, even if it's late.
Art! I have a ton more art to do for @wipbigbang and I'm getting back into making fanmixes. I would like to make a Mystrade mix at some point, and non-fic-inspired Sherlolly and Adlock ones as well. Plus I'm going to branch out into some of my MCU and Star Trek fandoms as well as some character-centric Elementary ones. I also have plans to make more fic inspired art I'm giving to holiday_wishes and @sherlollysecretsanta people as late Christmas gifts. So there should be a lot more art from me in the near future.
And that's kind of the gist of it! When I'm not posting fic and art of my own creation, I'm going to start posting more resources, fandom/fanfic adjacent stuff, art resources and other things. I'm planning to use this blog more than I did and 2023, so please, wish me luck!

i realized something as i was falling asleep yesterday: if i want people to like the au i'm making, i need to actually share what the hell's happening in my brain. therefore
Blotted AU Masterpost!
Tumblr media
I've mentioned the Blotted AU a bit here, but I've barely gone in depth about what it actually is. In short, it's a Batim/Batdr rewrite AU inspired by Epic Mickey. It roughly merges the concept of the Cycle with the early game story of Epic Mickey, ideas from Ink Machine and Dreams Come to Life, and the story of Dark Revival. The general plot is that the cast from Bendy and the Ink Machine are all dragged into the Cycle by the Ink Demon and now have to survive as a team.
Before I go in depth (and it's gonna be long i apologize), here is the google doc where I wrote down every idea dump I had for it, a cast list with their roles and brief history in the au, and a rough timeline. It won't be any better of a tl;dr for this post since it's a barely organized mess that only makes sense to me, but if you're interested in seeing how the au developed over time, feel free to give it a read! A lot of the idea dumps ended up being about Sammy whoops (he's my favorite).
~*~*~
The rewrite starts off when Joey commissions the Ink Machine from Gent. Originally it was to cut down on animation costs and time, but when he realizes he could make 3D actors with it, he starts to experiment.
His first attempt that lives is Ink Bendy. His disfiguration and uncannily human appearance is immediately met with hostility and rejection, and Joey basically crams him back into the machine to try again. Unbeknownst to him, that creates the Cycle and Bendy never actually died. The rejection and isolation along with being trapped in a realm that mimics the fleeting glimpse of the real world he could've lived in started brewing up his very negative feelings towards Joey and humans in general.
Joey tries to make Bendy again, but the only surviving clones are the Wandering Sin Bendy and Concept Bendy, both of which are "scrapped" like Ink Bendy. Once he accepts that Bendy won't work, he tries with the Butcher Gang. A lot more clones survive, but they all end up horribly disfigured and mutilated. All of them are thrown into the Cycle.
His attempts with Alice Angel make incredibly humanoid creatures (original Lost Ones minus the dead employee bit), and that leads him to try creating an actual human with the Ink Machine. Everyone is really concerned about his actions and the ethics behind it at this point, and they get Henry to try and stop him. Naturally, Joey ignores them, makes a secret room for it, and continues his experiments.
After numerous failures that end up creating the population of the Cycle, Audrey is born in 1941. Joey discovers the joys and struggles of being a single dad working an executive position until 1946, when the Ink Demon finally gathers enough power over the Cycle to control the Ink Machine. Joey Drew Studios floods with ink, and every employee in the building is dragged into the Cycle.
Nathan Arch inherits the studio rights and adopts Audrey like Joey's will requests. A lot of her childhood with Joey is forgotten due to normal childhood amnesia, but she still goes by Audrey Drew. Her life is relatively uneventful and she gets hired as an animator in Archgate Studios like normal.
Meanwhile, in the Cycle, the studio employees quickly have to find shelter from the hostile toons. After finding refuge in Artist's Rest, they start pushing back against the Ink Demon's relentless aggression. It turns into a war of survival, with each side fighting to trap or destroy the other.
The animators start losing the fight when Sammy gets his eye torn out by the Ink Demon. The ink from the wound creates a mental connection between the two, and he's slowly corrupted from the inside out. It culminates into the Ink Demon puppeteering him, forcing him to lead the toons into the animators' base. A massive fight breaks out that kills most of the studio employees, and the Ink Demon consumes Joey's soul to permanently kill him.
Besides Joey, the employees who died are reincarnated as toons or Lost Ones, dubbed "conversion death." Usually their memories of their past life are blocked off, allowing their original personalities to stay but creating a blank slate for the Ink Demon to control. Conversion killed toons can keep memories from their past human life, but they never keep all of them. They can also regain their human memories again, but the process is usually very confusing, drawn out, and painful, with the memories coming back as visions accompanied by migraines.
Sammy was conversion killed after the fight that killed Joey. He was made into the Ink Demon's second in command, complete with receiving a fraction of his power as shifting through walls and manipulating his ink appearance. Susie and Norman were conversion killed during the fight, and they became Twisted Alice and initially a Lost One respectively. Norman's body was incredibly unstable and needed mechanical implants to survive outside of the Puddles, resulting in the Projectionist.
Henry steps up in Joey's absence and leads the surviving few to the Gent workshop after a few days of living precariously without safety. They switch their focus from fighting against the Ink Demon to surviving, now locked in a defensive stalemate with the toon forces. During the time, Thomas uses the familiar tech and supplies to create the signal towers, sealing off the workshop from the toons.
During the stalemate, the animators still had to brave the studio to gather food and materials. Jack, Wally, Shawn, and Daniel did most of the scouring, and Allison and Thomas only ventured out whenever they needed more supplies for his machines. While on those missions, Daniel was conversion killed into Buddy Boris, Jack's left arm was slashed and corrupted, and Allison and Thomas were conversion killed together into Allison Angel and Tom.
Boris forgot everything from his past life, but still shows sympathy to the animators. He lets them stay in his hideout he made if they need to and helps them evade the other toons. Allison and Tom forgot most of their past, but they remembered that the Ink Demon was dangerous and the animators weren't. They quickly went back to their side as soon as they could.
In 1963, Wilson disappears from the real world after finding out what the Ink Machine does in Archgate's museum honoring Joey Drew Studios. In the Cycle, he picks up where Thomas left off on the development of technicolor to combat the toons, along with trying to create his own ink life. He succeeds at both with the creation of the Keepers and technicolor ink, and the war flares back up.
Eventually, he uses the technicolor to gravely weaken and imprison the Ink Demon after a large fight. Henry is against his actions and torturous experiments on the Ink Demon, and he leaves after getting into a massive argument with him. To everyone else, he completely vanishes, but he instead takes up residence with Boris.
In 1973, the Ink Demon escapes from his physical prison Wilson trapped him in. He starts to recover from Wilson's treatment, but still can't get past the mental prison of Dapper Bendy he trapped him in. On the anniversary of the studio's disappearance, Audrey is lured into the Cycle by the Dark Puddles. Most of the story here follows Dark Revival's, with Allison finding her after a Piper raises the alarm, Audrey discovering Bendy and accidentally shocking him with her power, the Ink Demon getting released periodically from his toon prison, and Audrey finally making it to the Gent workshop.
When the Ink Demon's toon prison destabilizes, he acts a lot more aggressive and automatically treats everyone as his enemy. He kills anyone he can get his hands on, which included an overjoyed Sammy that ran straight to his death. He calms down after Audrey shows him kindness as Bendy, and he especially calms down when she shows him that same level of kindness and additional sympathy both as Bendy and the Ink Demon once she learns what had happened to him.
However, during that, Sammy took the death extremely badly, believing that he was killed because he didn’t free him, and does everything he can to earn his forgiveness again. Along with suffering through memory flashes of his past life, he tries to sacrifice anyone he can get his hands on, which includes the other toons that once trusted him. They reject him as their leader and start forming isolated groups, with some of them becoming Amok and their followers, the Ink Jets, the Demon Followers that still fight against the animators, and colonies of Butcher Gang clones. Alice wanders the studio alone, and the Projectionist stays in his designated area.
Sammy gets imprisoned after trying to attack the Gent workshop in a desperate attempt to please the Ink Demon. During his imprisonment, he regains most of his memories and starts to question how genuine his loyalty was to the demon. Audrey finds Henry shortly after and brings him back. Henry explains the full history of the Cycle to her, including what Joey did and the revelation that she's not human.
I'm still unsure whether or not I want Wilson to create a big scene with Shipahoy Dudley, and if he did, he would permanently die like Joey. However, I do want Audrey to deescalate the situation between the Ink Demon and the animators. His problems all came from Joey, and the other workers did nothing and were against his actions with the Ink Machine. Once he calms down and stops, he'd release everyone who isn't native to the Cycle back into the real world.
The ones who died in the Cycle revert back to mostly human in the real world. Some traits from their previous forms carry over like scars, Alice and Allison keeping their horns for example. They'd have to readjust to living like humans again along with revoking their legal death status.

and that's it! if you made it this far congrats you're a trooper
i'm still working on it and i wanna make stories for it like i did with sammy already, so praying to the motivation gods that i can get enough brainthoughts to write
now that i have the explanation done i can go back to posting cryptic nonsensical stuff about it

Happy STS! What are your technical preferences for writing? Like, what program do you use, what fonts etc.
Happy STS!
I am Very cheap and only use Free programs as of now! I currently use a mix of
Notion - to organize/brainstorm
Google Docs - for writing Official™ chapters/scenes
World Anvil - for broader worldbuilding/timelines
My Notes App - when I need to quickly jot down things without the threat of Notion's failure to save things (Notion just crashes sometimes)
Grammarly - for basic grammar check. I have gotten to the point where I can work around the yellow underlines without a subscription (it's mostly just teaching me how to rewrite sentences better)
And I will probably swap to 100% Google Docs soon, because Notion is giving me the short end of the stick (the free version is not letting me see my edits from over a week ago, which is Very irritating).
Other technical things:
I use fonts that are clear and easy to read. If I'm feeling Fancy, I pick fonts that fit the vibe of the story (I currently use Ubuntu for Indie's Bar and Thrills and Nunito Sans for Crater City). I steer away from Times New Roman because it's too formal and puts me in an essay mood, which isn't always "It."
I like to be able to decorate my workspace, because it's very fun! If one were to Peruse my documents, they will find every single one colorful and plastered with Aesthetic imagery :')
I try to keep "canon lore" and "non-canon lore" in separate folders so that I keep track of my scraps easier. I deem my "non-canon lore" "Idea Limbo/Purgatory."
This is probably super confusing, but I categorize each item in my folders based on last edited, section, progress, and themes. It helps to filter out what I need to look for, but it also helps to compare similar scenes so that ideas are consistent, don't overlap, etc. It kind of keeps the [sub]plots linear since I write nonlinearly.
Does this make sense? I'm not too sure. But I would love to hear your technical preferences for writing because I'm always looking for a new approach!

Can you tell us a bit about the long fic you’re working on? You’ve referenced it a few times and I’m intrigued ;D
Yooo sure hehe
there are two multi-chap fics I'm currently working on. One is a Specialists mission thingie, which shall involve our fav bois being chaotic + double-agent Helia, spy Riven, and a generally fun ol' time. Oh, and this story will also reveal a crucial part of Helia's backstory.
So the other one I'm a little conflicted about. Like I said before, it will primarily be focalised on Helia and Flora, but as I was plotting it, the story expanded to a massive rewrite, one which is way way more ambitious, but would have an insane amount of world-building, and would focus on all the characters and how their lives interweave. This rewrite would be a lot more focused on political intrigue than most WC rewrites, because I find the fact that most of our main characters are royals and nobles a plot point that has a lot of potential. Other fun stuff to look forward to with this one: Helia and Musa decoding a bunch of songs that Musa's mom wrote together, Sky having to unlearn everything he has been told by his parents, Riven making chaotic bi decisions, Brandon makes more tame bi decisions, Witch Flora, Wizard Helia, and Tecna and Timmy just barely keeping their respective teams functioning. All of this is underlined by a huge dimension-wide war that occurred when all of them were kids, and you'll see how their personalities and decisions in the present are informed by things with which they are grappling from the past. Flora goes to Cloud Tower but knows that she doesn't belong there. Stella is redoing her first year and feels like a failure. Oh also, Bloom and Helia are foils to each other; Bloom, as she is discovering things about her magic and her past, learns of Helia, this bizarre grandson of Saladin with an insane amount of magic, who ... just left RF and never used his magic again. Doesn't help that they are both related to the original members of the Council of Light (something that absolutely does not become a huge plot point later, nuh uh)
All of that being said, I'm conflicted because there seems to be a billion Winx rewrites these days, and I'm not sure if anyone really wants a new one. I could fit the individual characters' stories into the original timeline, but it wouldn't feel as organic. On the other hand, the scope of this rewrite is MASSIVE, and frankly, quite overwhelming. Nevertheless, ofc it is Helia's backstory I'm most excited to introduce (also Riven's, Musa's and Tecna's). Lemme know if the rewrite sounds good! If not, I can tweak the story to fit the show's timeline.
Hope this works, and that it gives ya something to look forward to!

Tag Directory
aka i guess i should be organized and put these things in some sort of accessible list if i want them to be useful to anyone. first things first MY AO3 IS swiftishere if the other link isn’t working
#the nemesis speaks: ALL original posts, and any reblogs i added significant text to
#the nemesis answers: answered asks. asks will also be tagged with the url of the asker (anons will be tagged as #anonymous)
#nemesis art: visual art
#swift writes: for fic. a mix of regular textposts and ao3 links
#swift plays (hollow knight / subnautica / flight rising / dragcave / deltarune / rune factory / half life / final fantasy 14): i sure do!
#dr analysis: deltarune. the narrative is ALIVE
#fashion: aka swift drools over dresses
i don’t have a general tag for pla/submas because i gave up on it that one’s on me whoops. most of them are primarily asks/random posts instead of fic or art. unfortunately apparently chrono tags break on mobile so... yeah, desktop people, you’ll have to diy that one.
general, non-au tags
#pla analysis: for meta, character Thoughts, whatever
#pokefic pitch: grab bag of au/fic concepts that were one-offs/i never did anything with. a lot of more involved aus also start here
#surveyfam: the survey corps is a family!!
#strong pokemon... weak pokemon... maybe the trainer should just git gud: making fun (affectionate) of ingo and emmet’s starters/teamcomp. i mean they have to be so good to make it work but also why the rock lee ankle weights my guys
#hisui timeline debate: it is NOT in the 1800s
#volo’s evil togekiss: my conspiracy theory that the reason that volo has a togepi he manages to evolve is bc it is also super on board with the “reach god through violence and rewrite the universe” idea
sneasel: the funny animal pokemon: drawings of quadrupedal sneasel line (mostly sneasler) bc i think they're fun
substantial aus/things with fics:
#jailbirds au: aka Ounce of Prevention, my currently longest-running fic. kamado puts the rift travelers in prison and also emmet finally arrives in hisui after an ATROCIOUSLY long delay. it got wildly away from me and now there’s politics and every single minor character is involved
#galactic commander emmet: aka Fate of a Lost Comet. an extremely tense alliance is developed between cyrus, who wants to imprison the gods to rewrite reality, and his new commander and right-hand man, who is openly planning to sabotage him as soon as he gets what he wants: dialga on a leash.
#gligar emmet: aka Copy Corruption/silent loyalty. ingo's partner gliscor is actually emmet, who got stuck in a pokemon body upon arriving at the same time he did. they can’t communicate, but he’s very worried about his brother and is determined to stick with him
#pladoption au: Sinnoh is Silent. an au where akari falls like, IN the temple of sinnoh, and then gets really lost and then ingo finds her and he just keeps her. very minimal plot. mostly just fluff.
#immortal volo: fic: Nobody Writes Them Like They Used To. volo's immortal, but it’s been a few thousand years since hisui and he’s matured. he’s normal now. ...then he finds a pre-hisui ingo in unova.
#warden fusion au: wardens can fuse with their nobles. yeah like in steven universe. this one has a fic too: Covalent Bonding
#warden emmet au: emmet falls in hisui alongside ingo but lands in the wrong spot and they get separated. whoops!
#lord zoroark: a subset of warden emmet- the forgotten lord of the mountain, zoroark, finds a dude in the snow and decides to keep him. emmet lives in a cave with his dogs now
#living history au: a bunch of major pla characters get yeeted into the future. ingo does not get to go with them.
the following are aus that were more just posting/throwing stuff around w/ no real fic or art or anything. in no particular order:
#leader swap: adaman's now the leader of the pearl clan, and irida's diamond. the wardens are still the same
#ley lines au: magic fantasy au with some real worldbuilding happening
#timeloop protag: a "pla protag loops time when they die" au, except ingo is also conscious of the loops happening and has no idea why they are
#surveyparents: the protagonist falls into hisui as a toddler. cyllene and laventon are parents now and also The Plot is their responsibility
#card fortune: did you know the miss fortunes used to be galaxy team? what if they took the protag (counterpart) with them when they left? ...akari, who’s akari, i only know the Bandit Card
#the magical misfortunes: spinoff of card fortune based on a couple random posts. they’re teen superheroes/magical girls in a modern setting
#origin visions au: due to consequences from falling through the spacetime rift unshielded, ingo now has prophetic dreams. sort of. it's complicated
#hisui n au: N takes the place of the pla protagonist and has a bad time in hisui
#hisui fallers au: ultra wormholes take mohn, anabel and looker to hisui along with ingo. also, there’s more wormholes and they’re extradimensional monster magnets
#frenzy swap: swapping which noble of a region is frenzied—wyrdeer, ursaluna, basculegion, sneasler, and braviary instead of the canon 5
#legends creation starters: instead of rowlet/cyndaquil/oshawott, when transporting the protagonist to hisui, arceus offers them a newly-created egg of one of the creation trio
#zoroark twins au: ingo is a unovan zoroark but still has amnesia, leading to some Complicated feelings about his human guise. meanwhile, emmet dies shortly after falling into hisui and comes back as a weird dog
#dragon champion ingo: ingo’s a chosen champion of the unova dragons but he forgot. one day he summons a deity by complete accident
#distortion subway au: gear station has always been a little Weird, actually
#rift ghost au: instead of falling through a rift into hisui, ingo gets trapped in the distortion world. wardens think the rifts are haunted. also, turns out staying in the distortion world long-term is not so good for human minds and souls
#twin dragon curse: ingo and emmet are descended from the original unovan heroes, and their bloodline is cursed
#guardian of ideals: arceus’ champion was sent to stop volo at any cost. ingo, zekrom’s champion and divinely-ordained guardian of ideals, was sent to save him.
#zero constructs: the area zero professor decides to use their time machine to recover Champion Dawn and Subway Boss Ingo from their place adrift in time. unbeknownst to them, and unfortunately for dawn and ingo’s loved ones, they do not have a time machine, they have a wish-granting machine, and it does NOT know how to put a dawn and ingo together
#magearna twins: “hey the shinies for regular/oc magearna look sort of familiar”
#platinum clan: spawned off of living history- the clan leaders and wardens never figure out how to get back to their original time and ingo becomes the de facto leader of both clans, eventually unifying them into one
#tringo: SUB-subclass of platinum clan. ingo goes to unova and gets turned into the three legendary dragons
#giratina champion ingo: much like the protagonist is arceus’s champion, ingo is giratina’s, unknowingly serving volo and giratina’s will
#emissary au: spawned off of giratina champion/living history—after the leaders vanish, ingo is approached by a shadowy entity that claims to be almighty sinnoh, and which makes it his priest. giratina Is Not Evil, and is in fact trying to protect reality from a greater threat... not that the rest of the world believes that
#anthro legends arceus: i’m doing a miserable job beating the furry allegations
#modern hisui: rei and akari, totally non-suspicious teen twins, wind up in a small town full of cryptid stories
#nobel lady sneasler: this one is fully a stupid joke that got out of hand. pseudo-1920s-au, pokemon all have recognized sapience, and the clans are two rival groups of scientists with their own pet theories, trying to prove themselves right in time for an upcoming award. get it. nobels
CROSSOVER STUFF:
#arc vessel: hollow knight au. ingo is the ghost and emmet is the hollow knight
#pokesouls: grab bag. some of it’s elden ring, some of it’s ds1, some of it’s ds2, some of it’s bloodborne. we are just vibing
#msaxpla: pla/mystery skulls animated crossover. unlike 99% of my crossovers this is a “the characters exist in the same universe” crossover bc we are hyperfixation multi track drifting. vivi is the protagonist, lewis died in hisui and became a zoroark, and arthur’s a depot agent doing really inadvisable things to one of the train engines (it’s fine emmet okayed it)
#subnautica au: ingo crashes on the degasi. several years later, emmet chases his voice recordings across the crater, hoping to catch up to him (and find him alive when he does) (they both end up fine dw)
#pla dhau: submas/pla dishonored au. no listen listen. ingo and emmet were twin princes, but one family assassination attempt and several years later, ingo’s an assassin-turned-vigilante with no memories and emmet’s smiling in the lord regent’s face while turning the palace against him behind his back.
#pla rf4: rune factory 4 au. the wardens etherlink with their nobles to sustain both adaman and irida. if you know what that means congrats and also come yell with me about it
#poke slayer: demon slayer au that is, i will be honest, mostly about torturing former darkness hashira ingo
#the legends zone: taz balance au. an ipre consisting of ingo, emmet, elesa, prof. rowan, laventon, cyllene and one stowaway. emmet and elesa are liches, emmet gets stuck in a whistle, rowan voidfishes everyone and becomes kamado and founds the galaxy team to fix their mistake with the light of creation (arceus) and the nobles.
i don’t post much msa anymore and most of this is not particularly Up To Standard but i GUESS i’ll compile those tags too
#msa analysis: for meta
#fic pitch: approximately 2 billion msa au concepts that never went anywhere bc my brain is a pinball machine
#msa mermay: i did two of these! it’s mermaids! more or less 100% art!
#mystery hate blog: aka kitsune (derogatory). i DON’T hate him as a character but i DO bitch a lot about how Everyone Except Me Is Wrong About HIm
#mori and arthur are friends: i think it would be funny if they bonded
(most of the following are also au concepts that span maybe one sketchsheet or a few posts, because again, brain. pinball machine.)
#precave lewvithur: you can't textually prove that they WEREN'T all already dating and lewis just forgot
#search death au: arthur dies while looking for lewis and comes back as a ghost whose death mission is to find him. this uh, raises some conflcits with lewis’ own existing death mission
#ot3 fake dating: no cave no mystery skulls au where, for Reasons, lewis has to pretend date both arthur and vivi at the same time. not as a throuple just. two legally distinct fake couples he's gotten accidentally involved in. at once.
#spooky kids with magic powers: au based on the idea that lewis was a station experiment where they (lewis, vivi, arthur, reverb's also there i guess) are All science experiments
#vampires au: everyone in the gang is a "vampire” but they’re all following different cherrypicked rules about it
#shards of winter: a sort of ambiguously period au? lewis is a... something, vivi and arthur are... something else. this one is a fic! it's more interesting and coherent than it sounds here
#noir au: fantasy noir, vivi’s a detective and arthur enlists her to find lewis
#western au: fantasy western, specifically. arthur made a deal with the devil. lewis is a ghost.
#little mysteries: little nightmares au
#msa celeste: lewis, vivi, and arthur are all mountain climbers with their own issues to work through
#msa hk: vivi is hornet but also the protagonist? arthur is the vessel. it’s convoluted
#dishonored au: you know the grimdark stealth action game series dishonored yeah i made a msa au about it that i have brainworms for and almost exclusively talk about in the tags
i think that’s all the major ones but i’m almost definitely forgetting something anyway. whatever. i’ll pin this post i guess

The big fat WIP list
After finishing write our name in blood and in flowers of flame, I have nothing finished ready to post, so I thought I’d give you (and me) an overview of all WIPs I have lying around! Some snippets, some multichapter fics, some recent, some not touched in years.
Buckle in, it’s a long list. Feel free to ask questions, make suggestions and tell me which ones you’re most interested in! Also, if you ask nicely (and promise to give me feedback), I can send you what I have so far.
*********************************************
Working title: 40s
What it’s about: Steve and Natasha accidentally end up in 1940′s New York. While trying to get back, Steve uses his new strength to punch Nazis, Natasha has to figure out how much of her future boyfriend is already in Bucky and they maybe kind of break the timeline.
How it’s going: Four chapters.
The Problem(tm): Still have to figure out the American fascists part of the plot and do research on that (shoutout to Rachel Maddow’s podcast Ultra for giving me the idea).
Working title: Chocolate cop AU
What it’s about: Spawned from this snippet, a later one for flavor here. Bucky is a veteran, Natasha is a cop working on organized crime. Very hot sex, banter, Natasha struggling with her life.
How it’s going: I literally have 56 chapters of this already.
The Problem(tm): I really fucked up several things (Matt Murdock's accommodations as a blind state attorney, Chicago neighborhoods, probably the whole investigation plot) and I really hate editing and rewriting.
Working title: College burnout
What it’s about: College AU. Natasha is a grad student struggling very much with her thesis and Bucky is that asshole friend of a friend who is just in her class to flirt with her.
How it’s going: Some 7 chapters.
The Problem(tm): I don’t know what to do to realistically make Nat actually write her thesis (i.e. some method she figures out that’s not just “and then she wrote it”). Also, Natasha is a Russian student at the Russian department, so that won’t read the same way anymore following the war in Ukraine.
Working title: FATWS
What it’s about: Endgame canon divergence where Natasha is revived when Steve returns the Infinity Stone to Vormir (before he fucks off himself). Bucky keeps her company while she recovers and they kinda fall in love. Basically, writing Buckynat into FATWS.
How it’s going: Wrote the part from Endgame up to the start of TFATWS.
The Problem(tm): I don’t have Disney Plus so I can’t rewatch FATWS right now. Also, I probably forgot most of what I was going to do and I’m not sure it’ll come back with the rewatch.
Working title: Icarus
What it’s about: Set in 1959. Bucky and Natasha ditching the KGB and the Soviet Union and becoming free agents in Western Germany struggling with surviving and morals (and also falling in love).
How it’s going: On chapter 2.
The Problem(tm): I feel like this is going to be really good, which raises the bar on self-confidence I need to write this.
Working title: Oh no, he’s hot
What it’s about: Set after Civil War. Nat decides to seduce Bucky and they start a strangers-with-benefits thing that turns into a friends-with-benefits thing that ... I’m sure you can guess.
How it’s going: Apparently 12 chapters?
The Problem(tm): Basically just missing the end. Classic 80% problem. I know how it’s gonna go, just .... hrngh.
Working title: Amnesia
What it’s about: Inspired by Burn With Me from MissMorwen. Nat gets amnesia. Actual plot.
How it’s going: 6 chapters
The Problem(tm): Again, missing the end.
Working title: Breaking
What it’s about: Red Room fic! Natasha finds a weakness with the Soldier and keeps prying and prying.
How it’s going: Over 20k.
The Problem(tm): Guess what? The fucking end.
Working title: Rents by the hour
What it’s about: Smut. Bucky and Natasha meet between missions in a place that rents by the hour.
How it’s going: 2k.
The Problem(tm): Stuck on the smut (happens surprisingly often).
Working title: Love and War
What it’s about: Inspired by this song. Bucky is having a really shitty time post-CATWS. Nat checks up on him.
How it’s going: Six chapters but it’s complicated.
The Problem(tm): This is one where I might just post the first or the first three chapters (which should work as a standalone) and then decide whether I took it in the wrong direction after or not.
Working title: Menage à trois
What it’s about: Kinda TFATWS with Nat - Nat and Sam are dating but Bucky is an asshole and hits on her all the time. Smut. Maybe going towards a triangle thing.
How it’s going: 6 chapters.
The Problem(tm): The first chapter would work as a standalone. If I posted the second one, too, I’d probably have to figure out where this actually goes (and whether I like where it goes).
Working title: So companionable as solitude
What it’s about: Soulmate AU. Unfortunately, Natasha hates the very idea of soulmates. Unfortunately for her, Steve gets dusted instead of Bucky. Unfortunately, after going through all the tropes (only one bed, fake dating etc.), he kind of grows on her.
How it’s going: One and a half chapters.
The Problem(tm): Zero motivation to write this.
Working title: Bikes
What it’s about: Bucky and Natasha bond over their love for motorcycles which leads to going on biking trips together which leads to friends which leads to friends with benefits.
How it’s going: 16k.
The Problem(tm): I don’t really want to make them date here so this doesn’t really have an endpoint. I thought about turning it into a oneshot, too.
Working title: IVF
What it’s about: Natasha is traumatically scared of being touched and also asexual but figures things out with Bucky and they have a baby through artificial insemination.
How it’s going: Almost 20k.
The Problem(tm): This doesn’t really have an endpoint yet.
Working title: Meeting the Parents
What it’s about: Bucky meeting everyone from Nat’s (adoptive) family to get their blessing.
How it’s going: 1.5k.
The Problem(tm): Kinda just a premise. A fun one, but just a premise.
Working title: Physical therapy
What it’s about: Natasha and Bucky doing friends with benefits which I somehow decided to make go horribly wrong.
How it’s going: Over 20k from both of their POVs.
The Problem(tm): Really not sure I should have taken that there, but then again, otherwise I wouldn’t have a plot or an endpoint.
Working title: Russian Mafia
What it’s about: Bucky is a mafia goon who’s supposed to bring the boss’s girlfriend from A to B, which obviously goes horribly wrong, too.
How it’s going: one chapter
The Problem(tm): Had this idea for a while but only started writing this week. Unfortunately, going forward, I will have to figure out how the plot actually works.
Working title: Supersoldier stamina
What it’s about: Smut. The supersoldier serum gives... multiple orgasms is playing it down, and it’s awkward.
How it’s going: Like 8k.
The Problem(tm): You guessed it, stuck on the smut.
Working title: Wedding traditions
What it’s about: Steve and Natasha fake their wedding for vague mission purposes, and Bucky is the horrible best man who is way too much into the outfit. Smut.
How it’s going: 2k.
The Problem(tm): Stuck on the smut.
Working title: Western soulmate AU
What it’s about: Western AU, soulmate AU. Clint walks into a saloon to find his soulmate who is, unfortunately, already married. Years later, they meet again when she asks him for help in finding her husband.
How it’s going: 3k.
The Problem(tm): Missing the whole plot before getting to the end.
Working title: WWII
What it’s about: Somebody asked for a younger Bucky with an older Nat and somehow I decided to put it in the Nazi-occupied Soviet Union. So, expect the usual super-light story. The Howling Commandoes parachute in to kidnap some Nazi, Nat is a local partisan helping them and a young Bucky is totally head over heels for her (to everyone’s amusement).
How it’s going: 2k.
The Problem(tm): Have to make the plot work...
