if they were on survivor-

Scout

would probably get screwed over by the edit and get portrayed as a moron who annoys everyone and is only ok at challenges. but in reality he'd be pretty tight with the rest of his tribe.

totally hogs confessionals (on purpose) and talks over people a lot at tribal council (on accident)

might not make it all the way to merge, but would absolutely be invited back for an All Stars season.

Soldier

medically evacuated.

he’ll get brought back for another season to redeem himself and get medically evacuated a second time.

Pyro

no social game, no game plan, just came to have a good time.

better than people would think at challenges, but wouldn’t do well at tribal council and could easily be one of the first voted out.

but if by some chance they made it to the merge, in theory, they would dominate endurance challenges by just entering their happy place and vibing out until everyone else breaks concentration.

Heavy

challenge beast, no question.

great at catching food for the tribe, and will take the greatest share of the food every meal. (no one would dare try to stop him.)

great at challenges, and is liked by the rest of his tribe, but not the best social game. (not too talkative and wouldn’t really understand when he’s being manipulated and by extension, can’t manipulate others)

would likely be blindsided before he could make it far past the merge.

would get pretty teary-eyed if he made it to the message from home/family visit episode.

Demo

fan favorite, no question

a total wild card when it comes to challenges, and wins a lot of individual immunities

mostly here for comic relief, but would have tons of people rooting for him to make it to the end. just like scout, he would for sure be wanted back for an all stars season.

can be a little lazy about helping out around camp, but people don’t really care since he’s so fun to have around.

loves to fight dirty during physical challenges and probably will return home with a bunch of parasites.

engineer

he is the greatest at solving challenge puzzles, but can’t keep up in water challenges for the life of him.

very likeable to audience and other players. unfortunately would have a major target on his back during the late-merge on account of having many friends on the jury.

other than heavy, he’s one of the best hunters and a great provider for the rest of the team.

would look like a completely different person by the end of the game vs when he started on account of losing like 25 pounds, borderline sun-poisoning, bug bites, and growing an entire beard.

medic

agent of chaos and constantly getting in fights with the other members of the tribe (for funsies).

can make allies just as easily as he can backstab them (also for funsies).

gets on people’s nerves a lot at camp, but his smooth-talking give him a HELL of a social game.

the most insane confessionals, no one knows what he’s on about, but he’s got spirit

on the better side of average for challenges, stronger than most in water and at solving puzzles, even if he’s not great at obstacle courses or other pure brute strength challenges.

i feel like he’d also be pretty good at finding immunity idols. would have a huge fan cult-following.

sniper

remember that one guy unnerved the rest of the tribe by spending an uncomfortable amount of time sharpening his machete while staring at the other people on his tribe eerily? that be him.

alright at challenges, but very weak in the water. would do well trying to keep a low-profile and keep a target off his back.

also would probably have a considerable cult-following.

spy

just here to blindside people and betray his allies, he doesn’t care about the money.

does not help out at ALL around camp. really annoying and smug monologs during his confessionals.

he could get pretty far in the game, but even if he were to make it all the way to the final 3, no one would vote for him after playing such a cheap, backstab-y game.

he would be very good at challenge puzzles, and deciphering messages. also great at finding immunity idols, and uses them just right. ( which is to say, right away because everyone wants him gone so fucking bad)

miss pauling

hot take, but i think she’d be most likely to win.

she can read people so well, is underestimated by others and would also be great at pitting people against each other without them finding out she was behind it all.

a decent fisher and could be counted on to bring food home for the rest of the tribe and wouldn’t require as much food as others.

would get and underdog storyline

saxton hale

can’t really see him as a player, more likely he’d be jeff probst.

another question for Funsies; how did Quintor end up in the neutral territories?? I've entirely forgotten how it works in canon but don't they have to light leap to get there? or is it kind of more he just Popped up one day and cyrus was like 'he's MINE don't question it'

(i'm totally gonna forget about the questions about josie's design so I'll just leave this here as a reminder to myself to send those cause i have to go to sleep lmao)

(its light leaping using a light yellow crystal btw, also they apparently can make one use crystals??)

ok so Quintor had a physically abusive father who pushed him to hard to young to be a soldier, and would physically punish him when he didn't do enough and a push over mother who didn't stop her husband from harming their child. but he had to deal with it because his father was a respected soldier and no one could imagine him hurting his son. when Quintor mentioned what was happening at home people thought he was lying for attention and it just made the abuse worse.

when his father died in battle protecting his soldier when he was 9. he thought it his father was put in the hall of hero's and deemed a amazing man and was idolized by the community. Quintor had to deal with people constantly asking what his father was like, and how lucky he was to have such a hero as a father, how he had quite the legacy to uphold. one day he blew up and screamed at his mom about how his father treated him and how he wasn't a hero and how he was nothing but a fake. his mother scolded him and told him that he needed to respect his father and that his father was only doing what was best for him.

at 10 Quintor decides he had enough and steals a random crystal to the neutral territories from his parents bedrooms and takes a tent, some weapons and food and light leaped to the neutral territories.

he lived on his own for about a week, then Cyrus found him trying (and failing) to hunt a deer, Cyrus killed it for him and told this tiny child that he would help him skin it and break it down of he came back to his camp, and it took some arguing but eventually Cryus convinced him to come back to camp for just one night and he literally never left

how the conversation kind of would've gone down under the cut because the way im writing it is gonna be long

Cyrus: come on kid lets go back to my camp, ill teach you how to skin it and break it down,

Quintor: no i don't want to you're not my dad

Cyrus: well then, ill take my deer back to my camp and share it with my sisters

Quintor: its not your deer!!

Cyrus: i killed it, you didn't, and if you want me to share you're gonna have to come back to camp with me because i don't have my hunting gear with me and can't break it down

Quintor: *angry 10 year old noises*

Cyrus: you coming or not

Quintor: *sigh* yes im coming

(back at the camp)

Quintor: i thought you said you had sisters?

Cyrus *gestures to the twins sitting by the fire*: yep they're right there

Quintor *looks between Cyrus and the twins*

Quintor: but they're elves!

Cyrus: so what, family isnt blood kid, its what you make it

Quintor:

Quintor: you can choose your family!!!

Cyrus: yep, *hands him a bar of soap* now go wash up in the river, you smell like death

TWST Dorms Playing Splatoon 3

in honor of sploon 3's release, this! (I might so this again but with obey me characters idk tho) (also, I like how this is more self indulgent than all the romantic x reader shit I've written lmaooo)

Heartslabyul:

Ok, so first of all, since there's 5 members in heartslabyul but only 4 people allowed on the same team, I think Riddle and Trey would play the least since they're both the busiest and they switch places

Riddle, being that he doesn't have much experience with video games, probably plays with the regular splattershot

Trey probably uses the n-zap bc it's a simple weapon and also because he likes the tacticooler

Cater says he's a charger main but doesn't know how to use a charger (based lol)

Deuce likes using splatlings, specifically the heavy splatling, because they're basically machine guns and he thinks that's badass

Ace likes the splat dulies because of the cool little rolls (also I just realized Floyd calls him crabby and the special for the splat dulies is the crab tank

ADeuce I feel are really aggressive players who don't really pay attention to inking the ground, leaving Cater and Trey / Riddle to ink the base

Riddle would just camp at base since he somehow has really bad aim but he does alright

Cater tries to do cool no scope tricks but he, again, doesn't know how to use a charger so he just keeps dying

Trey's just average at the game, but he does really well under pressure

Deuce keeps trying to do his special but Ace refuses to booyah back like the little shithead he is (affectionate, maybe)

Savanaclaw:

Y'know how this is a team game, right? Yeah, Jack seems to be the only one who remembers

Leona plays the carbon roller since it's a faster than a regular roller and has autobombs that kill people for him while he sits in his ink

Ruggie, like Ace, also uses the dulies simply because funny roll go brr

Jack also uses a roller but he uses the dynamo roller because it can kill people easier and it makes him feel strong

Since they're one person short of a team, they'll either ask Yuu to join or they'll join with a random user

Leona doesn't really play much but when he does, he really just inks the base and sees how many cheap kills he can get

Similarly, Ruggie also tries to get a bunch of cheap kills but he also plays the game normally sometimes

Jack just plays the game normally and gets frustrated when he sees Leona just sit there trying to bait people out with autobombs

Octavinelle:

Probably the most insane 3/4 of a team

Azul is a fucking try hard and is definitely a e-liter main

Floyd is a fucking maniac and uses the aerospray

Jade is normal, sorta, and uses the bloblobber

Again, since they don't have a full team, they'll either ask Yuu, or beg Jamil or Idia to join their team (neither of them do btw)

Yeah, but playing against Octavinelle is a fucking nightmare

Floyd is a menace in his ugly ass outfit spawn camping people or trying to start squid parties for funsies

Jade, despite seeming like the normal one of the three, is really good at the bloblobber and usually gets the most kills, if Floyd doesn't

And Azul does the 360 no scopes Cater wishes he could do

Scarabia:

Despite Jamil hating disliking Kalim, they work pretty well together

Kalim would main the octobrush and make little hearts when he's not failing at using the zipcaster (same)

Jamil mains the tenta brella since it has the respawn beakon, which Kalim uses a lot, and since it doubles as a shield, which Kalim also uses a lot

Neither of them are bad at the game, it's just that Kalim's a little airheaded and sometimes doesn't see when people are trying to kill him

And Jamil's really good, as he is with most things, and is able to fill in the parts that Kalim lacks in

Since both dorms only have two members, Scarabia and Ignihyde pair up a lot and they're almost as bad as Octavinelle

Pomfiore:

I feel like Vil only really plays because it's a popular game that would make him look good

Also, probably uses the splat brella just cuz it's one of the cuter weapons

Rook definitely uses the bow weapons and gets a little too excited when playing with them

Epel uses the blaster for the opposite reason that Vil uses the brella: flames

Since Vil, again, doesn't play very often, Rook and Epel either ask one of the duos to play with them or Yuu if they're available

Epel, just like ADeuce, is really aggressive and Vil, surprisingly, isn't against it since no one would probably recognize Epel playing (minus the apple-themes user name but still-)

Rook is also pretty aggressive but he also likes to protect Vil even though that's not how the game works but go off

Vil is pretty decent at the game and is just surprising average overall

Ignihyde:

Arguably the best Splatoon 3 players in NRC (even though that's pretty obvious y'know)

Idia, being the gloomy samurai that he is, uses the splatana wiper (and is somehow good at it despite it being a pretty ass weapon???)

Ortho uses the slosher just so he can build his special (missiles, yay!)

Like I said earlier, they tend to team up with the Scarabia duo since they both have two members on their teams

Since Idia is, obviously, cracked at the game and Ortho's a baby robot, they obviously do well when teamed up with Jamil and Kalim

Overall, they're just good at the game I dunno what else to say lmao

Diasomnia:

idfk know how to describe they're dynamic like-

Malleus "I don't fucking know technology" Draconia plays the hero shot replica since he wants to show people that he finished the main story

Lilia plays with a different weapon and different gear every time to spice things up

Silver uses the splatana stamper because it's a cool sword weapon and he likes swords

And Sebek also uses the splatana stamper because he wants to show Malleus that he's the better splatana stamperer

So yeah, literal chaos especially considering Sebek indirectly sabotages the team by being glued to Malleus, who forgot how to use his weapon, the whole time

Silver keeps trying to stay awake but fails to do so, sometimes in the final minute of the game

Lilia is the only reason they win, despite having completely random gear each round

Bonus Content:

All of the sophomores having a squid party except for Azul and Jamil, who are fighting

Cater, Kalim, and Lilia writing little messages and drawings to each other

Floyd's locker changing every day and somehow repeatedly getting worse

Trey spending way to much time making his locker look nice

Idia completing the main campaign + after alterna in a single day

Idia also hosting a competition between dorms knowing damn well he's gonna win

Silver and Sebek having an epic (?) sword fight for literally no reason

Riddle almost breaking his switch lite because ADeuce aren't focusing on inking the ground

Rook using the mailbox to write poems

Ace, Ruggie, Floyd, Idia, and Lilia using the mailbox to draw something among us related

Ruggie spending his free time in salmon run and trying to get as much money as possible

Vil spending a lot of time making a cute outfit just for the gear to be garbage

ADeuce, Jack, and Epel doing salmon run while Ortho, Sebek, Yuu and Grim watch

Yuu comparing Grim to Judd and lil Judd and getting him a little bowtie and flags

Malleus asking Yuu for help with the main campaign (mainly so that they can spend time together)

VOMITING OUT MY THOUGHTS BEFORE I GO TO BED

ok so so tje bandits right the bandits from wildwood my favorite characters ever who will be so so so cool to see as stop motion puppets i have so mant questions about them

1. brendan says that he is the 15th bandit king. has this title stayed in his fsmily for all 15 generations? or does is the title passed down from the generations via a vote by the whole camp?? brendan also mentions a great grandfather during under wildwood who was the bandit king (he would have been the 12th bandit king). so like. HAS THIS BEEN A TITLE THATS BEEN IN HIS FAMILT FOR THAT LONG?? OR DOES IT SO HAPPEN THAT. THE TITLE HAS GONE BACK TO A MEMBER OF HIS FAMILY??

2. im sure the movie will address it but like does this guy (brendan) have. any living family members?? besides the aforementioned great-grandpa, no parents, siblings, partners/spouses, or children have ever been mentioned. like is he just. the last livinf member of his family which is simultaneouslt metal as hell and sad

3. witjt the bandits being a variety of irish and scottish do some of them know gaelic. it would be so cool if they spoke in gaelic at some point in the movie as a “no one will understand what we are saying” bit

4. another thing im sure the movie will address how old is the bandit king. i dont know i DONT KNOW. ive always assumed alexandra was an older woman because a total of 30 years has passed between the uhm beginning of her son’s life to the latest day of her exile. but like are brendan and alexandra close in age??? like he IS an older man bc hale is used to describe him and that is a word associated with the health of someone who is older. or is hale used bc “narration is in prue’s head and most kids have a stilted worldview of what makes someoen old” bc is believe it. this puts him at least in ym hwad between late 30s-early 50s.

5. how tall is. this man. at some point curtis is described to “barely reach the midsection of the buttons on the bandit king’s shirt” and i know 11 year olds are not that tall. but wouldnt this put brendan at like AT LEAST 6’6” like AT LEAST.

6. last names are mentioned with the bandits a couple times (cormac greavy, eamon donnell) so what are the other bandit’s last names. mainkt what is brendan’s last name if he has one. i personallt started calling him brendan fox for funsies. its just a fitting name for the guy.

as you can tell i have normal person thoughts about wildwood so so so normal i love this series the normal person amount (lying)

Scarlet Blaze - Chapters 8-9

Ok, more playthrough notes!

Story

Damn, Count Rowe is a bitch. The Rowe bloodline is a treacherous one to be sure. He’s ready to become traitor at the turn of a hat. This guy SUCKS.

My boy Metodey is seems... kinda like a cannibal, lol, with wanting to dress us up in “spices”. Nice to see him again, at least... even if it was but for a brief moment.

Fought Annette, Sylvain, and Rodrigue in the side battles. :( Man, here comes the Kingdom stuff...

Conditions - Defeat Dimitri... NOOOOOO

Wait, we can persuade Mercedes NOW? Huh, I thought it would be later.

Why does Edelgard think that Dimitri’s responsibility is no less then hers. Um.... OK?!!!!????

I killed Ingrid with Ashe.... What a crime.

INGRID, NOOO!!!!!

Delivering her lance to Dimitri must have been hard... he couldn’t bear to lose her but he has.

The saddest part of this route so far has been related to Dimitri, as of course.

Dimitri crying.... TT_TT And we had to leave her body behind, that’s even harder.

Dorothea, shut up.

Why is Edelgard suddenly apologizing.

MONICA, SHUT UP.

I can tease Edelgard (which she likes, apparently) or agree with everyone. Of course.

Arval, avenging the old allies was YOUR dream tho....

This does feel a little out there, Shez suddenly deciding to want to recruit Byleth. Like... why? It came from nowhere.

Arval admitting that it feels like they need to kill Byleth, and that’s the reason why he’s so obsessed with it.

Oh, we are talking about the Slithers now. That’s why Lyisthea lives no matter what.

God, I WISH I could join the Slithers. I WISH IT SO MUCH.

If you kill Mercedes (I did both kill her and recruit her) then Jeritza will mourn in camp instead. I also let Gwendal die to see what happens. He and Count Rowe then join with Dimitri (who allowed them to live because he didn’t want anyone to needless die). Dimitri retreats into the back and Gwendal and Count Rowe fight in the front. Both of them die. Then you defeat Dimitri. Edelgard makes a comment that so many people perished despite their efforts.

For funsies, I allowed Jeritza to die but recruited Mercedes to see if her C support with Caspar changed. I also allowed Marianne to die as a test to see what Ignatz says in camp. He doesn’t seem affected, lol. Mercedes and Caspar’s support locks if Jeritza dies. Mercedes kinda just mourns a little, saying if Jeritza is gone there is no reason for her to be there anymore but she can’t go back.

And now for Chapter 9

Ah, Linhardt wants Edelgard to abandon the war. Makes sense.

So people in Enbarr are happy because they don’t think they can lose the war. Urg...

Holy fuck, Ashe is so depressed because we killed Ingrid. He can’t go back, he says....

Mercedes seems doubtful too, despite being with her brother again.

One NPC still believes the Church should be protecting the people of Adrestia. Interesting...

Balthus still stole his gauntlets back like he did in Houses, cool.

Linhardt’s father is at the camp. I guess Edelgard’s assassination attempt is coming up.

Also, there are no other side maps for this chapter. Just the main story one. Huh.

Oooohhh, intruders in the palace~

Oh, interesting, we have to protect Edelgard now, she’s not playable this chapter.

This has been the most interesting chapter in this route so far. Literally the most fun I’ve had since chapter 4.

Shamir only stayed behind as to spare Catherine’s life, per Hubert’s “contract”. Wow, that’s.... :(

I also went back and killed Shamir. She tells Catherine to run, and Catherine is, of course, upset.

I let Shamir and Catherine kill Edelgard to see what happens. It took FOREVER. Edelgard has a lot of bulk. She just says to carry on and unite Foldan. Then Hubert is “What? No!” and that’s it. Boring, really.

I didn’t bother to see what happens if Hubert dies first. I don’t want to torture myself sitting around and waiting for enemies to kill him.

Ooooh, Ferdinand’s father escaped.

Why are you being so cruel to Ferdinand, Hubert? It’s not his fucking fault.

Hubert apologies for thinking Shez is a plant from the Slithers. I mean... it makes sense. And Hubert suggested to giving Shez a position of power so they can watch him.

But, then, why would the Slithers work with the Church? Why would this convince you that Shez was on your side, if the Slithers don’t work with the Church? Hm.... Oh well.

Ah, a time skip. And the Empire is struggling. We enter part 2 now.

Wait, Edelgard is talking with Claude now? We just missed a WHOLE lot of stuff. When tf did they start to work together, what led to that?! Why are we SKIPPING that stuff?!

Fuck you Claude.

And you are even suggesting Holst be your bodyguard, Edelgard?! NANI?!

Dimitri is just sitting in a corner, wanting to be left the fuck alone.

And now the Alliance is helping launch an attack on the Kingdom by sea.

Why would the Kingdom throw the white flag? Their way of life goes away once they do.

Linhardt is the only one with sense.

Whoa, Dorothea actually also has some sense, realizing they are the invaders and that the Kingdom with fight tooth and nail.

Ferdinand, the fear is not all in their head. Edelgard wants to take over. Even if she doesn’t intend to reign down terror, their way of life is in danger. Jesus Christ, what happened to you?

Edelgard thinks the land taken by the Kingdom (Sreng and Duscur) was cause the Goddess granted them that land. No, Edelgard, it’s not that... not that at all...

Looks like most of the characters haven’t been fighting for a while. Petra went back home for a bit, Bernie hasn’t held a weapon in a few months...

Wait, Cornelia has been killed in the Kingdom by Dimitri? Damn.

The Western Church is obeying the Southern Church... but for how long?

Marianne’s father seems to think the Empire will eventually take control of the Alliance (he’s right, that’s Edelgard’s eventual plan)

Jeritza can tell Rhea has some power in battle... cool.

Paralogues

Starting with Petra, Jeritza, and Hubert’s Paralogue....

Wow, the Knights of Seiros are really trying to assassinate Count Varley. It’s completely outside their MO. They don’t assassinate, at least they didn’t in Houses. It’s so bizarre.

Keeping a corrupt official safe, yay!

So Count Varley basically gave legitimacy to Edelgard’s war.... through a divine decree. Amazing. How hypocritical.

Catherine and Shamir were in on the assassination action.

Varley is such a cockroach.

Hubert calling the enemy crafty is like calling the kettle black. I hope this was done intentionally.

Lorenz, Ferdinand, and Constance paralogue....

Oh god, it’s the annoying lords all in one sitting!

I feel like Constance is... setting this up to win herself, lol.

Hubert, Dorothea, and Hapi show up in the battle. Some fun dialogue with that.

Chapter 9 paralogue- You can get it if you recruit Ignatz, Lorenz, and Raphael.

It’s about the death of Ignatz’s parents.

It’s nice that Lorenz wants Ignatz to just treat him as normal.

Huh, so Claude’s grandfather died “near here” in an incident. Interesting. As long as Raphael’s parents.

Lorenz’s father betrayed the mercenaries-turned bandits.

Oooohhhhh, a Slither used them, not that Lorenz’s father betrayed them.

OH, they died all at the same time.

Not that they know it was a Slither, but I’m pretty sure it was a Slither.

Raphael is such a treasure.

Supports

Lysithea is such a brat. Glad that Shez kinda calls her out on it. But he takes the abuse a little TOO much.

Lysithea only staying for treats with Ferdinand is in line with her bad behavior. That said, I do feel bad because she feels she can’t do anything for Foldan due to her shorten life-span. I did like this support overall. Although, if nobles are expected to continue to improve the lives of commoners, what’s the point of “breaking down the barriers” again?

It’s nice to see Lysithea be... nice to Marianne. Even apologized.

Ashe teaching Raphael how to cook is cute. But Ashe looking up (literally) to Raphael’s model had me chuckling.

Ashe’s support with Shez - Mostly about Shez’s mother, really. But apparently she was even more intelligent than even the smartest average person.

Marianne is for protecting only.

They are going to dance around Shez’s adopted mother, aren’t they?

Raphael really shouldn’t be let close to the cooking....

Bernadetta and Marianne’s support. .... Riveting.

At least Bernadetta isn’t screaming this time.

Hubert is so mean to Lysithea. This might be my favorite support to date, watching Hubert mess with Lysithea is hilarious.

Raphael mentions asking someone else from a place where food is prepped differently in his support with Shez. BuT I THouGHt thE CHuRcH PRevENtED tHAT?!

B support with Shez and Lysithea. She is so childish... sigh.... Well, at least she is saying sorry. And never mind, she got mad again.

Raphael learning to cook warms my heart. Ashe and Raphael are so cute... and Raphael made Ashe’s birth father’s best dish?! TT_TT. WHY DID THIS SUPPORT GET SO SAD?! My blackened heart stirred.

Petra’s model just popping into the screen during Raphael’s support with her was hysterical in a way it wasn’t meant to be.

Raphael howling like a dog in that support was also funny because the model made no “howling” movement, lol.

Lorenz and Marianne’s C support... I like seeing Lorenz just being nice without all the haughty-ness. Hmm, but I’m not sure if I understand her father’s intentions. Because the academy closed down, he forced her into the army? Did he want her to learn war, to get stronger? Just showing support doesn’t seem... right...

Raphael is on his way to being Dimitri with pushing a fucking horse like in his support with Marianne.

(Fun fact, most herbivores actually do eat some meat. The more you know, Raphael).

Lysithea and Ignatz support.... Lysithea is being nice to him? Weird... But poor Ignatz doesn’t really want to be a knight.

I also unlocked Ignatz and Lysithea’s B support (I’m grinding them)....

It’s nice that Lysithea is being observant. I mean, she got the original idea wrong but was in the right direction. It’s nice that she wants to help him, but.... uh, she wants to become a commoner, right? If she’s offering her territory’s support, it won’t be her territory anymore once she and her family become commoners... Oh wait, they did kinda address that at the end of the support, lol. At least they aren’t TOTALLY stupid, the writers I mean.

I haven’t unlocked them yet, but Mercedes has got quite a few SB only supports.... Lysithea and Caspar, apparently.

OK, I lied, I was able to unlock Mercedes and Caspar’s C and B support. They should have had a support in Houses, to be honest. And... it’s about Jertiza, of course. I don’t really like... coddling Jeritza this way. He’s still a serial killer. That was... kinda a dumb support, ngl.

I lied again, I realized you can grind supports in the record keeper battles, so I went ahead and got all of Mercedes available B supports.

A LOT of supports are about Shez’s mom and stuff. And yet, we learn very little about her at all. What a tease.

Mercedes loving ghosts is kinda funny to me tho (Support with Ashe).

Wait...There is a real ghost?

AND THEY JUST END THE SUPPORT ON THAT?!

where supernatural truly failed was that they never had a true musical episode like yeah the fanfic ep was iconic but like. they should’ve had an ep where like idk they stumble into a town that’s under a spell or something where everyone can’t help breaking out into song and its a full cast ep so like everyone’s in it, you got dean and cas dueting in what is very not subtly a romantic song, rowena going all out putting on a goddamn show, crowley grudging at first but then going full camp demon w his performance. sam can’t sing at all and his voice keeps cracking. lucifer makes an appearance for funsies. jack does an adorable little number. meanwhile dean’s like trying to resist the spell the whole time bc he doesn’t friggin’ sing but he can’t help it and then a la changing channels they realize that the only way they’re going to get out of it is to play into it bc the more they resist the more powerful the spell gets idk idk i’m not rly thinking abt plot just the sheer concept of a musical ep ! point is eventually dean leans into it and everyone is shocked that not only can he sing but he can also dance ! and when he finally lets loose he’s totally vibing and in his element...dean going all greased lightning on Baby...yes this town has to be like a charming acres-esque 50s style town too btw, dean’s dressed like a greaser cas is a prep the gals all got their hair did Like That...oh oh hold on wait a minute--- when they first roll in to town and figure out whats going on, dean’s all like ‘ok fine but at least i’m a greaser’ but then thru out the ep we see him change, he loses the leather jacket, his hair loses the product....until by the end, when he and cas have their big duet...he ends up dressed all preppy and he’s pointedly got on the preppy sweater cas was wearing most of the ep and it’s like. basically reverse ending of grease mhmmm and they drive off in baby at the end w/ cas in the passenger’s seat bc sam’s passed out in the back after losing his voice from vocal strain ajkfsdlklg (the car doesn’t fly tho)

What if Kirby had a traditional fighting game?

Listen, I know I should’ve done more “FNF fighting game characters” but i doubt anyone cared for that, and even then I lost a bit of interest, so if you actually cared sorry about that, you can still come up with whatever you want for the characters I didn’t talk about!

That being said, I think all Kirby fans here know Kirby Fighters 2. Personally speaking most of it was just the same as Kirby Fighters Deluxe BUT there were five playable Dream Friends. FIVE. Priority to the Copy Abilities a bit too high, isn’t it HAL? Sometimes it feels a bit barebones if you ask me. So I’m here to discuss what would a non-platform Kirby fighting game be.

THE GAMEPLAY

It’s the same as any basic fighting game, there isn’t really that much that the Kirby franchise can offer to make the genre a bit more varied, and that’s mostly due to the fact that Kirby makes friends wherever he goes and combat is pretty much straightforward in these platforming games, the crazy stuff comes from learning specific moves with each copy ability/character in the games and that’s also true for this game.

THE PLOT

I have quite a few ideas for how this can go:

-It’s a “what if” re-telling of Kirby Star Allies where Hyness’ ritual (somehow) also causes space-time rifts across the entire universe to be generated, pulling in Kirby villains from previous games but also allies, which would ALSO explain Dream Friends in the game’s canon a bit more properly.

-It happens in an AU. Plot would basically be Kirby Battle Royale’s but instead of shooting a loadshit of Kirbies onto Kirby, Dedede would just call upon all of their friends to fight for that cake before things escalate and Dedede loses control of the tournament to greater evils, forcing him to work with Kirby to stop the threat, be it old or new.

-Another AU idea but this time it’s original/based on Milky Way Wishes. Galactic NOVA appears every thousand years above Pop Star’s skies, and everyone tries to fight for the right to get the wish. Villain wouldn’t necessarily be ONLY Marx though, most of the Kirby villains could easily win against him if they get to NOVA and get their wish granted. Which means yes, all plots happen at once and Kirby has to deal with everyone at once.

-The least interesting idea: it’s Kirby Fighters 2′s plot but without tag team duos and with all Kirbies replaced with the roster.

THE ROSTER

Now we’re about to have some fun.

RETURNING CHARACTERS: The Dream Friends (and Kirby, of course)

-First up, all Dream Friends are coming back. You don’t even need to change their movesets that much, just add/tweak things, but just for funsies (and for a specific reason too) we’ll also give them specific copy abilities or more than one to categorize them.

-Kirby is the specific reason. He has the same moveset as his Smash Bros incarnation, although he incorporates more copy abilities (and also super powerful stuff like the Star Rod that he usually uses in endgame fights) in it now due to being a traditional fighting game. And yes, he still has his inhale. Using it will have the inhale be replaced by another move in-game, the closest one to a “neutral special” in the opponent’s arsenal. His copy ability is therefore, Smash Bros. And since the game has multiple super moves, we can make his gimmicks from the Kumazaki games the super moves: his level 1 would be a random Super Copy Ability from Return to Dreamland (cutscene is random everytime but damage is always the same), his level 2 would be using the Robobot Armor to stomp foes around, ending with a giant ground pound/fist to the ground and his level 3 is Hypernova Kirby due to the inhale being one of his most unique properties.

-Meta Knight and Dedede will also have heavy Smash influences but they’ll also use techniques from most of their boss fights, such as Meta Knight splitting himself in four clones temporarily for an attack or Dedede actually pulling out an axe instead of his hammer for some attacks based on his Triple Deluxe incarnation. Their copy abilities would formally be Sword and Hammer but with heavy Smash Bros inspiration. Meta can also call in for the Meta Knights to help him in one of his unique super moves. They’d all be there except for Sailor Dee and Captain Vul (one’s an alternate costume and the other is never seen outside of dialogue text).

-Bandana Waddle Dee’s moveset incorporates both Spear and Parasol, but due to the Spear being his most used tool he’ll be categorized with that.

-Marx is the first character with Unique as its own copy ability due to his arsenal being entirely based on his boss fight. Inhaling Unique characters doesn’t always allow Kirby to get copy abilities but when it happens he usually has their most basic move replacing the inhale. Gooey is in the same situation, but i have no idea what would Kirby get from him as an ability since he’s technically player 2 in the Dark Matter trilogy’s first 2 games. Rick, Kine and Coo would technically be categorized as Unique only because they have Fire, Water and Wind in their moveset. You could say they’d be stance characters while Marx is a zoner and Gooey a rushdown character.

-Dark Meta Knight is categorized as Mirror, and Adeleine (with Ribbon as an assist of course) is Artist. Daroach would be Animal, which is missing since its debut in Squeak Squad, as far as I can remember, but he naturally still retains his moveset of calling the Squeaks to help him.

-It’s pretty easy to categorize Magolor as ESP, and Taranza as Spider, while I have no idea what would Susie’s ability be even. Spark? She is mostly around in the Robobot Armor to be fair. The Three Mage-Sisters would be treated equally to the Animal Friends

THE NEWCOMERS

-NAGO, CHUCHU & PITCH: The other set of Animal Friends. I theorize a moveset revolving around the Cleaning ability like in Star Allies would be easy to make, although it can also incorporate moves from other abilities that have been in Dream Land 3.

-CHEF KAWASAKI: I think it’s safe to say this one is pretty easy to do just like the returning Dream Friends. He has a unique moveset in comparison to Chef Kirby that also has him use Kirby’s Final Smash from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

-LOLOLO & LALALA: Aside from pushing boxes and Gordos they can be the Ice Climbers of the game, and most importantly one of their super moves could have them fuse into their original form in the anime to reference that further.

-SHADOW KIRBY: A clone (in terms of moveset) for Kirby that lacks the inhale ability and has more attacks based on his appearances in Amazing Mirror (and also on Kirby’s unique ability to split in four in these games) and the Kirby Fighters spinoffs. Simple as it is.

-THE MIDBOSSES: They all play the same as their fights too, so doing a paragraph for each of them would be a bit redundant. I chose to add minibosses in because most of them are pretty iconic among Kirby enemies and some of them are also technically friends of Kirby’s. I picked Bonkers (whose coconut throwing and some special moves could make him different enough from Dedede if you ask me), Mr. Frosty (also because we don’t have an Ice-based character in the game), Buggzy (which I can see being the ultimate grappler), King Doo (because we don’t actually have a Waddle Doo in the roster and he’s technically not only their king but also the most unique of them) and Grand Wheelie (look, I like Wheel as an ability ok? it’s like playing as Sonic in a Kirby game)

-KNUCKLE JOE: Taking stuff from both his Star Allies moveset and his Assist Trophy from Ultimate PLUS a few references to the anime and you have the ultimate Shoto character in the Kirby franchise. Ryu mains, this is the character for you.

-GIM: Look, my three favorite abilities are Yo-Yo, Wheel and ESP, in no particular order, so I HAD to include him and the Grand Wheelie. Magolor covers for ESP enough. This lil fella looks more unique than most of the generic Kirby enemies and even among the copy ability ones he’s always been a bit of an oddball due to being a robot. The trickshots you can do with this copy ability make Gim perfect to camp, so he’d be a pretty good zoner as well.

-TAC: He’s been a Helper in Super Star where he also has an unique moveset. Expanding on it and on Tac being generally a copy ability thief could mean more copy abilities can be implemented in a moveset, probably even more than what Kirby can do. Also his design just screams potential to me.

DLC FIGHTERS

WAVE 1: Spinoff Dream Friends

Cuz these guys have been done dirty by Star Allies’ devs. Elline would be the other Artist character in the game and call for Claycia’s assistance in specific attacks. Prince Fluff would play mostly just like Kirby himself did in Kirby’s Epic Yarn and implement specific transformations in some attacks, ending with the tank one from the end of that game. Then we have Gryll. If you know how to make a Tetris/Puyo Puyo based character in a fighting game then good for you, I absolutely don’t know how. What I KNOW however is that she has a float like Peach’s in Smash Bros and I-No’s in Guilty Gear.

WAVE 2: Dream Villains

These guys would all play exactly like their boss fights. Hyness and Sectonia would remain mostly unchanged while Haltmann in terms of moveset is the same as Susie, just without every non-Robobot move that she has.

WAVE 3: Clash of Blades

THAT’S RIGHT, IT’S ALL ANIME SWORDFIGHTERS. They all pull from their boss fights, but Morpho Knight is gonna be a bit more unique compared to Galacta, Dark Meta and Meta Knight, having in the swordfighter equivalent of Akuma’s Raging Demon. Meanwhile, Dark Matter Swordsman and Galacta Knight are completely faithful to the source material, but they’d probably be a bit nerfed due to Galacta’s universe-breaking powers. (you can bet that if we get the remaining legendary heroes who sealed Void Termina in future games they’d be their own separate Wave 5 DLC pack)

WAVE 4: Revival of Old Faces

Nightmare and Drawcia are back and they’re here to stay! Their movesets don’t really need that much changes. Void however is an entirely different beast. He’d be a mix of Kirby, both Zero incarnations and Dark Matter. His design wouldn’t just be giant orb that switches between Kirby and Dark Matter faces, he’d be Kirby-sized and with legs and stubby lil arms like the pink puffball. And you can bet your ass he’d be broken as fuck.

SKINS

If a character’s appearance changed across the series’ history (like Marx Soul, Girl Blob Gooey, Shoppe Magolor, Mecha Knight, Dark Taranza/Taranza in the Super Kirby Clash games, Masked/Shadow Dedede, Anime!Knuckle Joe, Parallel/Pres. Parallel Susie, EX versions and so on) they’d just be an alternate skin/palette swap for the specific character. Multiple characters of the same species with little changes (like a normal Waddle Dee or Sailor Dee, or literally all Kirby colors including Keeby) are the same. I’m also debating on how Dark Mind would be a skin for Nightmare or if there’d be a skin inspired by him for the Dark Matter Swordsman. Zero and Zero Two would probably be turned into palette swaps/outfits for Void (imagine a white Kirby cosplaying as Zero Two that’d be so cute lol).

ATTACKING ASSIST CHARACTERS

Characters who appear in other characters’ attacks. Like the aforementioned Squeaks, Meta Knights and Claycia. Normal Dark Matter would appear in DM Swordsman’s attacks in some capacity outside of the eye laser and the Gordo Throw would return from Dedede’s previous Smash incarnations alongside the Waddle Dee Throw from Brawl. And naturally Magolor can call in the Lor Starcutter for one of his super moves. I am actually considering giving Tac the ability to throw random items/enemies at opponents, with the Bomber being one of these. It’d be a very RNG attack with the Bomber being the best outcome, blowing on the opponent’s face.

HELPERS

All characters in the game can be called on for an Helper attack, that can help you in some form against the opponent by either damaging or tampering with the opponent or by having you get healed or with some buff. Outside from the playable roster enemies that give you copy abilities would also be Helpers, but the specific ones I’m not so sure on.

BOSSES

Characters you can fight in Arcade mode, in Story mode or in a specific Boss mode. There’d also be a Ganon’s Fury (Hyrule Warriors) inspired mode where you’d play as the bosses pitting them against each other. I specifically picked Dyna Blade, Whispy Woods, Landia, Star Dream, Kracko, Great Edge, Pyribbit, Ice Dragon, Fire Lion, Masher, Grand Mam, Metal General, Kibble Blade and Pon & Con.

STAGES

There’d be quite a lot of stages, but I haven’t thought out specific ones except for Green Greens, Butter Building, a Ripple Star stage, one for Dedede’s castle with stage cameos by Tiff, Tuff and Escargoon from the anime and every final boss’s fighting arena.

THE MUSIC

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is gonna be nothing compared to this one. We’re getting all the important music from all pre-Kumazaki games, all music from Kumazaki games and spinoffs, and online arrangements with focus on orchestral (Desolo Zantas), metal (GaMetal, of course) and EDM (Acid Notation, Qumu and various others), including stuff like Itoki Hana’s vocal arrangements. We’re going all out on this one.

3. Unpopular opinion about Twst?

The Halloween event was AMAZING! I know some people were upset with how long it was, but I loved every second of it. Each character and dorm was included with their own themes and I will forever love all the cards that came out of it. I would rather have a Halloween Event than a Valentine one.

Also, the cooking camp would have been so much fun as a story! I want to see all the boys and their kitchen disasters. Plus how those who are actually good at cooking react to their classmates being rampaging messes.

5. Favorite characters from each dorm?

Heartslabyul: Trey Clover! He bakes, can be cunning, mom-friend, and his unique magic is pretty impressive

Savanaclaw: Leona Kingscholar, regrettably. If I had good taste in fictional men, it’d be Jack Howl, but somehow I like the teasing lion who is actually really good at potions and chess with a weakness towards kids

Octavinelle: Jade Leech, even though he’d hurt me with no qualms. His excitement for mushrooms is cute and I find it amusing how he’s out here ready to poison people for funsies. eel abs

Scarabia: Jamil Viper! I think his dancing is so cool plus I would LOVE to eat some of his cooking. I also respect his ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical skills and experiments.

Pomefiore: Vil Schoenheit! The way he is so pretty but excels with poisons is most definitely everything. Also, he is good at magical pharmaceuticals! Ok, love anyone who is precise and can work in a lab efficiently. I respect his hardworking nature! want to see him flustered though and a little in love whoops

Ignihyde: Ortho Shroud! I want to know about little robot brother. THE MYSTERY! He’s cute though, I hope Idia made the extra piece so Ortho can eat yummy food.

Diasomnia: Malleus Draconia and I don’t even know how it happened. My favourites, whom I still adore, Lilia and Silver are amazing and I love learning more about them. But I feel like I got so many Malleus requests that he just grew on me? Also, the fact that he’s one of the most powerful wizards but a NERD sends me. I want to go on ice cream dates.

Mid-way Watch “The Untamed” Thoughts

HELLO it is ME with my HYPERFIXATION on different things, and this time, it’s “The Untamed”!! I have thoughts. Many thoughts. As well as many feelings. But for now!! Just some thoughts on the systemic problems among cultivation society, specifically among the five great sects and how they all SUCK.

(no spoilers past ep 26)

Ok, suck is a bit of a strong word, but honestly, what the heck???? Each of the five sects have their own complicity and role in allowing the cultivation world to reach this state and keep perpetuating the unhealthy system just for the sake of their own comfort and traditions.

1) The Wen Sect. Obviously evil cause controlling dead people puppets and torturing people for funsies (Wen Chao is just a terrible human being), but also, they were the ruling sect for hundreds of years with no checks on their power? Everyone else was just content to say, “Let them chill at the top of their evil volcano fortress” because they were relatively undisturbed? It’s only when the Wens come causing trouble at Cloud Recesses that the rest of the cultivation world starts paying attention to some, frankly, disturbing behavior that they should have seen before. For the Wen clan to reduce one of their own minor branches (Wen Qing and Wen Ning’s) to basically servants and threatening them with their own lives is also just abhorrent and speaks to a power imbalance - medicine and healing aren’t as valued as sheer power - but honestly, my major problem is how none of the other sects noticed or cared?? Honestly, the entire Wen problem could have been avoided if the rest of the sects weren’t so isolated, but that’s the whole problem!

2) The Lan Sect. Still my favorite sect out of the five cause Lan Xichen and Lan Zhan, but ok... can you be any more passive. For all their sense of justice and honor, they are startlingly terrible at actually taking action when it matters. There where so many scenes where the rest of the sects were acting like children, and Lan Xichen, despite being Zuwu-Jun, one of the Twin Jades, just let it happen? Because it’s less dignified to step in? Honestly, though it kind of hurts me to say it, same with Lan Zhan to a certain degree. Both brothers only step in after the words have been said and only in a peace-making fashion rather than actually taking preventative action. You can see Xichen and Lan Zhan wanting to speak up so many times during the Phoenix Mountain arc, but for some reason, they don’t, likely because of their upbringing in GusuLan and in a particular cultivation culture where decorum and the rules come first. It’s better than a lot of the other sects, but this black and white morality doesn’t help situations where action should be taken. Why didn’t Lan Xichen, one of the top cultivators of his generation and one of the most respected, say anything when the Jin sect brought out the Wen remnant to be target practice? Why did he let Jin GuangYao take them to a labor camp? I think Lan Xichen holds more culpability here than Lan Zhan because Lan Zhan is STILL A TEENAGER!! Anyways, their passivity and inaction is the Lan Sect’s greatest fault, and it makes it hard for me to excuse them in any scenes that include arguing between members from other sects since the Lans rarely step in.

3) The Jin Sect. Jin Guangshan........ can I just say..... what a jerk. You, sir, a fully grown adult who has had multiple illegitimate children, are coming down on a TEENAGER who just lost his parents, fought an entire war, and is rebuilding his sect, and pressuring him to disown his own brother?? In front of all the other sects?? And implicitly threatening to ruin his entire sect’s reputations??? AND insulting his parents???? I was fuming the entire time Jin Guangshan and Jiang Cheng were speaking because it was just so so unfair. Wei Wuxian wasn’t wrong when saying the Jins just want to be the next Wen Sect and have all the power. It was such a low blow for Jin Guangshan to target Jiang Cheng like that, knowing that he had to save face for the entire Jiang Sect and that he had never experienced this kind of pressure before. All under the guise of “giving advice,” I may add. With a leader like that, it’s no wonder that the entire sect is nearly rotten to the core. Abusing the Wen prisoners like that, using them as live bait, and unable to see past the need for their own revenge to the fact that they can end the cycle themselves is such an indicative problem of all the conflict in the cultivation world. It’s also not even revenge at this point, it’s just sadism. And why do the other sects let them get away with it? At the very least, why do the Lans with their so-called righteousness let them get away with this? Just... ugh. Also, Jin Jixuan is NOT good enough for Jiang Yanli, and that’s the tea. He might like her after rejecting and insulting her like what, three times, but he also thinks himself above her relationship with Wei Wuxian, her BROTHER, like, hello?? SPEAKING OF THE JIANGS:

4) The Jiang Sect. First of all, Jiang Fengming was not a good dad. Way to show favoritism to your adopted kid without giving your biological care the same affirmation and love that he deserves!!! Also, Madam Yu is terrible. Emotionally abusing Yanli and Jiang Cheng while they were growing up and also physically abusing Wei Wuxian on top of that is not ok. No wonder Jiang Cheng has so many issues. Also, the fact that Jiang Cheng felt the need to save so much face that he couldn’t support Wei Wuxian against the other sects shows the flaws in the hierarchical system of the cultivation world. Wei Wuxian tries to do the right thing, gets mocked and ostracized by all the other clans --> Jiang Cheng is told to take responsibility for him and pressured by older sect leaders from the Jin Sect --> Lan Sect does nothing to overtly support him --> Jiang Cheng gets angry at Wei Wuxian for not considering his position --> Wei Wuxian can’t compromise on his morals --> Jiang Cheng needs to keep playing the political game and.... you get the falling out I suspect is coming soon.

5) The Nie Sect.... Idk much about them other than the fact that I agree with Nie Mingjue about Jin Guangyao. Guangyao is so suspicious....

Anyway, I know the entire point of “The Untamed” and Wei Wuxian’s storyline is that there are inherent and chronic conflicts within the cultivation world that enable all the acute conflicts that are currently happening. And honestly, I think it’s good writing that I got this worked up because I’m not mad at the show - I’m mad at the world within the show. There are so many deeply rooted problems within the Sects, not even covering their isolationist tendencies and bartering with one another in order to keep up their image, that it’s no wonder that someone as unorthodox as Wei Wuxian snapped. The problems really are of their own making, so I hope individuals like Wuxian, Lan Zhan, Jiang Cheng, etc. can rise above it to shape their own generation........

"Where's the other one?" Arthur asked Sophia, coldly. She raised her eyebrows, "The other what?" "Marston sister?" "I have no idea." Sophia shook her head, "The last time I saw her, I was going to bed, and she was drunk dancing with Sean by the fire." He nodded, remembering seeing the same thing. "Why are you looking for her?" He seemed confused by the question, "I don't... I just wanted to make sure she was doing ok. She was pretty drunk last night, and seemed ... sad." "She's literally like a hundred a fifty years younger than you." "I thought she was thirty-seven?" He scratched the back of his head. She shook her head, taking her coffee back to her tent, "Keep your syphilis to yourself, cowboy." "What did I say?" Arthur put his arms up, somewhat hurt, "I don't even have syphilis." He turned to head back to his tent and saw the woman stumble out of the woods. He walked over to her, "Are you ok?" She looked at him, fixing her skirt, "Do you have any idea how hard it is to pee with this skirt on?" "I can't say that I do." He shook his head, trying to to laugh at the woman. "...and why are there so many layers to this thing. What is even happening right now?" "Are you still drunk?" "No!" She snorted out, finally looking up at him. He just looked at her. "Yes." She let out a nasally giggle, as she walked toward the table, sitting down, "I think we stopped drinking like ... just when the sun came up." He snickered, "Would you like some coffee?" "I would love some coffee, Arthur Morgan. Yes, I would." She stretched her arms out across the table, laying her head down. He shook his head, walking away. "Is she ok?" Hosea asked, seeing the woman laying across the table. Arthur shook his head, as he prepared the coffee, "She's still drunk from last night." "She's not the only one." Abigail rolled her eyes, joining them. Arthur looked to see John passed out in his tent. He shook his head. Hosea sighed, "They had quite a shocking couple of days. I can't imagine that Caitlin would have ever imagined getting to meet her great great grandparents." Abigail sighed, "I was talking a lot with Sophia last night. She doesn't seem to know as much about us as Caitlin does, but they both seem like good girls." "I suppose she has a heavy burden to bear." Arthur was intrigued by the woman, "She knows ... everything." "Could you ever imagine knowing what happens before it does, good or bad, not being able to do anything about it?" Abigail shook her head. The two men looked over at the woman. "What does he want?" Arthur grumbled, as Micah walked toward the woman. "Easy, son." "I don't like him, and more importantly I don't like how much she doesn't like him." He gestured, "What does she know?" Hosea shrugged, "I don't... I don't know, Arthur, but you need to try to at very least be civil with him." "Me?" He gasped, almost childishly, "Tell him!" The man walked over to the table, seeing the woman lay there. He ran his hand across her back, "Good morning, sunshine." She smiled to herself, opening her eyes, slowly, "Good morn...." She gasped, seeing the man, trying to stand up, only to fall out of the chair with a thud. The man laughed, "You are a little drunken mess, aren't you?" "I can do it myself." She snapped, slapping his hand away, as he tried to help her up. "I'm just trying to help you." "I don't need your help." She held on to the table for balance, as she stood up. "What is your problem?" "I don't like you." "You don't even know me!" "I knew enough." "Someone tell Marston he better come and get his girl!" Micah barked.

Arthur and Hosea looked up quickly, as did several of the others. "Why is he messing with her? It's too damn early for his shit." Arthur growled. Hosea looked at him.

"Fuck you." She pushed him. Enraged, the man grabbed the girl by the throat. She put her hands on the man's wrist, scared for her life. "Not so tough now, are we, sweetheart?" He laughed. "Cait!" Sophia gasped, coming out of the tent to see what the commotion was. "Let her go." Arthur clenched his teeth, aiming the gun at the man's head, as he walked toward them. He pushed the woman away from himself, causing her to fall to the ground. Arthur holstered his gun, punching the man in the face, "If you ever put your hands on her again, I will fucking kill you." Abigail helped Caitlin up, Sophia walked over, "Are you ok?" "I'm fine." She was still angry. "You're going to regret this, Morgan." Micah sneered. "I doubt it." He shook his head.

She took a step toward Micah, as the man walked away, only to have Arthur grab her arm. "No." He looked at her. "He..." "No." He pointed to her. "You should have let him hang in Strawberry!" "Yeah, well..." She tried to pry Arthur's fingers from her arm, as his grip, "Let me go!" He let go of her arm, "Are you done?" She nodded. "Caitlin, what was the one goddamn thing I told you to do?" Sophia yelled at the woman. She looked up suddenly, "Uh oh! Mom's mad!" "You're still drunk?" "You're still mothering me?" "I wouldn't mother you if you didn't need mothering." She snapped, "You've been perpetually drunk since mom died." "I have not!" "You have. You need to get your fucking shit together. You're going to get yourself killed." "I'm fine!" "He literally almost just killed you!" "No, he didn't." She waved her hand in the man's direction. "So... What... He was choking you for funsies?" "You know what, Sophia..." "Yeah... You're a Marston alright." Arthur grabbed Caitlin's arm again, having enough of the girls' bickering, pulling her toward her tent, "Go sleep it off." "I..." "Go." He lead her to the tent, gently pushing her inside, "You'll be fine, girl." "Arthur..." She stood with her hands on her hips. "Good night." He pulled the flaps closed.

"Is she always like that?" Arthur asked, as the woman reminded her of John. "Hot headed and stubborn?" Sophia rolled her eyes, "I mean, yes, but it has gotten worse since our mother died." They just looked at her. She nodded, "Our Grandpa Arthur died eight years ago and our father seven years ago ... I don't think she ever fully dealt with all that. She was very close to them. She's just always so... angry." "Grandpa Arthur, huh?" Hosea smirked, looking at Arthur. She nodded, looking at Arthur, "Jack named his son after you." The man stood a little taller, smiling, puffing his chest out with pride. "I suppose he never really forgot about you." "Why would he forget me?" Arthur asked, almost child-like, "Where would I go?" "I-I, uh... I should go... check on Cait..." Sophia walked away. Arthur just watched her walk away, wondering what his future held for him. *One Month Later*

It has been a month since the girls appeared on the side of the road outside of Valentine. They had both settled comfortably into camp, doing their part to help with chores, but tried their best not to interfere with their lives.

"Do you miss home?" Mary-Beth asked. Caitlin shrugged, "I guess. I don't know. I mean... My sister is all I have left, and I have her here with me, so... I guess not." "You two are close?" "We always have been." "Less chat and more work, ladies." Susan ordered, as the two women were doing laundry. They looked at each other, chuckling. "Will you miss this when you're gone?" "Doing laundry?" She looked at the girl curiously, "You know we still have laundry in my time." The girl laughed, "No, I mean... Living like this... Here... with all of us." "More than you know." Caitlin said. Sophia walked by, dropping a pile of clothes on the ground, "Miss Grimshaw wanted me to give this to you." "Of course she did." Caitlin rolled her eyes, wiping the sweat from her forehead.

*That Afternoon*

Abigail spoke with Susan, "I'm worried about the girls." She just looked at her. "Caitlin looks so sad all the time, and Sophia... She misses home so much. I know there's a trip into town today for supplies. I thought maybe it would be a good idea for them to go... to get out of camp for a bit." "I think that's a great idea." She nodded.

"Sophia!" She called out, "Caitlin!" Arthur looked toward Susan, then at the girls, as he sat in his open tent, looking through his journal. John shook his head, eating a bowl of stew at the table, "No one escapes the wrath of Susan Grimshaw." "I did my chores, Susan!" Caitlin pointed at her, "You're not gonna get me today!" Sophia laughed. Susan smiled, "I know you did, dear, and I also appreciate you helping Mr. Pearson with the food the last couple weeks. I have to tell you that it's been tasting much better." "Thank you." She smiled, "Which reminds me, we're running low on spices." "I've asked Arthur to pick some fresh ones while he's out." "Arthur Morgan," Caitlin joked, "outlaw, gunslinger, spice picker! My hero!" They laughed at her. "Well, you're in a good mood today." Arthur released his ever elusive smile. She looked back at him, "I am, Mr. Morgan. Thanks for noticin'." He nodded, looking back at his cards. "Ladies, Mr. Williamson and I are going into Valentine for some supplies. I thought you would like you join us." "Sure." Sophia nodded, "It'll be nice to get out of here for a while." "Alright." Susan nodded, "Mr. Williamson, are we ready?" "Yes, ma'am." He said, as he finished hitching the horses to the wagon. "You two behave yourselves." John called out. "Yes, Grandpa John." Caitlin waved. Arthur let out a snort, as John smiled, "Grandpa John." "Shut up!" He snapped, at his friend, his smiled turning into a sneer. Sophia snickered, "He's younger than us right now." "That's what makes it so funny!" Caitlin laughed at herself.

The two girls looked around the general store, as Bill loaded the wagon. "I have a present for you girls." Susan said. They looked at each other, then at her. "I know you've been stuck wearing those pieced together outfits for the past month. I thought it would be nice if you each had a dress of your own." "You don't have to do that." Sophia shook her head. "I know." She said, "I want to. You girls are so far from home, and are burdened with so much. I thought it would cheer you up a bit." "Thank you!" The girls said, together.

The two tried several dresses on, finally settling on ones they liked. Sophia held up the purple and white dress, whispering, "Do you think we can keep them when we go home?" "I hope so!" Caitlin said, holding the blue dress up to herself, looking in the mirror. "Can I wrap those for you, ladies?" The store keeper asked. "Yes." Caitlin handed him her dress, "Thank you." "Thank you." Sophia nodded, as the man took the dress from her.

Bill walked in as Susan paid for the dresses, "The wagon is all packed. Should we head back?" The woman nodded, "We'll be out in one minute." "Ok."

"I know you ladies would probably like to go home, but it's been nice having you here." Susan said, "I always appreciate the extra help with chores, and you two really carry your own weight." They both smiled, politely. "It's also been good for John. I never thought that boy would grow up, but he's really starting to take his responsibilities seriously. He's been spending more time with Abigail and Jack, and he's been keeping up on his chores. It's good." Bill laughed, "I have to say, I'm impressed with you girls too. You've been here this long and haven't run, screaming for the hills yet." "It's not so bad." Caitlin shrugged. "Well, I don't know how long we've got ya for," Bill said, "but it's nice to have ya. I'm gonna be sad to see ya go when the time comes." "Thank you, Mr. Williamson." Sophia smiled, "We'll miss you too." Caitlin smiled politely, but it faded quickly, as she rolled her eyes. Sophia looked at her, questioningly, whispering, as Susan and Bill spoke in the front of the wagon, "Do you know something about him that I don't?" She nodded, not saying what she knew. Sophia sat up, "No wonder you're miserable. You know too goddamn much." "You think?"

They arrived back at camp and immediately started unpacking the wagon. "We've trained all our lives for this." Sophia said, "All those times mommy and daddy went food shopping and made us carry in all the bags and put everything away." "Miss Marston," Pearson called to her, "There's no more room in my wagon, you'll have to put..." Caitlin put her hand up, "Worry not, Mr. Pearson. I will tetris the shit out of your wagon. It'll all fit." "Tetris?" He repeated, "I don't... understand." "No, she's like the queen of getting things to fit in spaces they shouldn't." "That's what she said." Caitlin chuckled to herself. Sophia laughed. "That's what who said?" "What?" "You said, 'that's what she said', but who said that?" "No, Mr. Pearson, it's... No one said it." She hopped down from his wagon, after some rearranging, "It's just a thing people say." "I don't think I understand this future world of yours." "Yeah." Sophia shook her head, "We don't either."

As the girls walked back to their tent, Dutch called over to them. "Would you ladies care for a game of poker?" "I'm good." Sophia shook her head, "I'm not much of a card player." "I'll play." Caitlin shrugged, "I don't really have any money though." "I'll lend you a couple of dollars to start." Dutch pat the chair beside him, "Come. Sit."

She looked around the table, as Hosea and Micah turned in their cards from the last game. "I never met me a real lady that could beat me at poker." Micah said. "Something tells me you've never spent much time around a real lady, Mr. Bell." She retorted. "I had a woman once." He sat a little taller. "Whores don't count." She raised her eyebrow. "Hey!" He stood up, banging his hand on the table, pointing at her, "She was a good woman!" Arthur looked toward the table, hearing the man's voice. Caitlin put her hands up, "My bad..." Dutch looked at the two, "Are we going to have a problem here?" Micah clenched his jaw, "No, Dutch. Of course not." "I'll deal." Hosea said.

They played a few hands. Caitlin studied the men, looking for any sign of bluffing. She decided to play the hand she was dealt. She looked at the cards. She held a two of diamonds and a seven of clubs. They all placed their bets before Hosea turned the first three cards over on the table. It was the queen of hearts, the ten of spades, and the nine of hearts. Her face remained unchanging. They all bet again and the forth card was placed on the table. It was the four of spades. After one more round of betting, the final card was placed on the table. It was the two of hearts. "I fold." Dutch dropped his cards on the table. "Fold." Hosea shook his head. "Well, how about you future girl?" "I'll call and raise you a dollar." She dropped money into the pot. He grinned, "I'm all in, baby." She nodded, pushing the rest of her coins in. He grew nervous. Dutch and Hosea leaned in closer. "Ladies first." "A pair of twos." She laid her cards down. "Oh, my..." Hosea looked at her, "Caitie, dear, that's not...." "Son of a bitch!" Micah threw his cards down. Dutch looked at them, "You went all in with nothing?" "I thought she was bluffing and would fold." "I was!" She let out a squeal, "Ah ha ha! I won!" "This is horse shit!" Micah stormed away from the table. Caitlin sorted the money, "Here's what I borrowed from you, Mr. Van der Linde, and here is a bit of interest." "Thank you, my dear. It's been a pleasure doing business with you." "...and also with you." She bowed her head to him, stuffing the coins in her dress pocket. Lenny walked over to the table, "Have a good ride, Arthur!" "Yup." He called back. He looked at the table, "Y'all got room for one more at this little party?" “Where’s he going?” Cait watched Arthur tacking up his horse. “He’s going on a job for Strauss.” Lenny said, as he took Micah's seat, “Apparently this man owes him money, and he wants Arthur to shake him down.” “What man?” “Downes I think?” He shrugged, “I don’t know.” "Thomas Downes?" "That sounds about right." Lenny looked up at the woman, "He's got a farm West of... Valentine. Where's she going?" Caitlin’s heart sank, “No!” She took off running, before Lenny could finish his sentence. Sophia looked up, as she chat with Javier at the camp fire. “Arthur! Wait!” She yelled, as he mounted the stallion.

The entire camp looked up, hearing the urgency and desperation in the woman's voice. “Ssssssshit!” Sophia stood up, mumbling under her breath. Arthur looked at the woman, almost amused by her urgency, “Hey, girl, what’s gotten into you?” She held the horse’s reins in one hand, putting the other hand on his leg, “You can’t go!” He felt her small fingers gripping his ankle tightly. He grinned, but after seeing the look of terror on her face, the grin faded away. “Cait!” Sophia called after her. “I won’t be gone long.” He looked at her curiously, "A day or two at most." “Please. I’m begging you.” Her eyes filled with tears, “Don’t go. Don’t go on this job. Just let him be. I’ll ... I’ll pay the debt. I’ll do anything. Please, just don't...” His brow furrowed, suddenly feeling uneasy.

They all looked at her. Abigail looked at Tilly, grabbing her arm, "Get John." She nodded, rushing down the path, as the man was guarding the camp. It was only a minute before the two came running back. John handed Abigail his rifle, "Keep the boy here.” She nodded.

“Caitlin!” Sophia scowled, “What do you think you’re doing?” “I can’t let him... He can’t go!” “You can’t interfere.” She pushed the girl hard. She fell to the ground, “Just give me this one.... I promise I won’t get involved in anything else!” “What’s he to you anyway?” She gestured toward the man. She shook her head, crying, unable to speak.

Arthur dismounted the horse, standing behind the arguing women as John came over, “Your girls are out of control, Marston.” John shook his head, "What the hell is going on?"

“Please... just.... let this happen, ok?” Caitlin cried out, "I swear I won't interfere anymore. I won't! Please." Sophia threw her hands up, walking away, “Whatever.” “You don’t understand.” Caitlin gasped out, calling after her, suddenly realizing everyone was staring at her, “I’m not crazy!” "No one thinks your crazy." Arthur shook his head. "I mean, she's a little..." Micah gestured to his own head, twirling his finger. "Piss off, Micah." Charles snapped standing beside the man. John sighed, “Come here, Sweetheart.” She cried into his chest, as the man knelt in front of her. He smoothed her hair. She pulled away sniffling, “Mr. Morgan... Arthur, please promise me you will leave Thomas Downes alone. You can’t go after him. You can't go anywhere near him. I will pay the debt. I will figure out a way to make money and pay back Strauss myself. Please, just... Promise me?” John looked at Arthur. Arthur's gaze shifted from the woman, to John, to the rest of the camp, then back to Caitlin. She stood up, still crying, “Please?” “I won’t.” He said, nervously, “I promise.” She flung herself into his arms, hugging him tightly, around his neck, clutching at his shirt, as if to bring him closer to her. He looked stunned, his arms out. His whole body tensed, but relaxed as he wrapped his arms around her, “Sssh. It’s ok. You're alright.” Leopold looked worriedly toward Reverend Swanson, “What does that girl know?” “Everything.” He said, calmly.

“What have you done?” Sophia pushed her sister hard, again, after joining her in their tent. “I can’t let him go there! It’s a death sentence.” “Caitlin, you’re changing too much of the past.” “I can’t let him die!” “We all have to die sometime." Sophia put her arms out, "You saving him now doesn't change the fact that he won't be there when we go home." "...but maybe I can give him a better life." "A better life?" Sophia shook her head, "Listen, I’m so sorry that you fell in love with him. I truly am, but you need to stop interfering.” “They deserve better than what happened to them.” “They’re criminals. They knew what they were getting themselves into. Do you think they were sorry when they robbed that ferry in Blackwater? Do you think Dutch was sorry when he killed that woman? Do you think Arthur was sorry when he pointed his gun in your face the day we got here?" “Arthur was fourteen when Dutch took him in. John was twelve.” She said, “They were children. They didn’t know any better. You think Dutch is going to let them walk away? That man is slowly losing his goddamn mind.” “...and you’re not too far behind him.” Sophia stormed out. She stopped suddenly, seeing John standing on the opposite side of the tent. “Are you ok?” She just walked by him, saying nothing. "Give them a little time, son." Hosea said. John lowered his head, walking away.

*Late That Night*

Arthur tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep, unable to stop thinking about the woman, and how desperate she was to keep him from going on that job. He couldn't help but wonder what she was trying to protect him from today. He looked out, seeing a figure standing near the cliff side.

Caitlin wrapped her arms around herself, as she stood, looking into the darkness. She could hear coyotes in the distance. "There she is." She closed her eyes, as she heard the voice behind her. "You ok?" He asked, standing beside her. She nodded, slowly. "You wanna talk about it?" "I made a fool of myself today." She said, "I had a complete meltdown in front of everyone." "No one thinks any less of you, darlin'." She was quiet, unable to look at the man. He couldn't stop looking at her, "Why didn't you want me to go on that job?" She looked at him, her cheeks streaked with tears, "I can't tell you." He sighed, feeling as though he knew the answer. He cupped her jaw with his hands, wiping the tears away with his thumbs. His heart broke seeing the pain in her eyes. There was something about this woman from the future, the great great granddaughter of his friend John Marston, that mesmorized him. He kissed her on the cheek, still holding her face, "Thank you for saving me." She looked up at him, her heart pounding in her chest. He looked at her for a minute, before pressing his lips to hers. She looked up at him, before resting her head on his chest, as he hugged her, his arms wrapped tightly around her neck, as she put her arms around his waist.
