hard agree!! i will read reconciliation fics bc like… i do enjoy them getting to be a happy family/group but ultimately, i am firmly in the Jason Todd Was Right camp, &. serious work would need to be done for him to ever actually be part of the family again, bc the actual roots of his issues run DEEP. (and again! he has points!!)

and also same again on like… if i mention the batfamily dynamics in my fics, with the exception of au’s, jason’s relationship with bruce especially is still at least a little strained. he’s a member but also kind of an outsider and maybe he has complicated feelings on that sometimes but ultimately it’s bc his convictions / beliefs run deeper than his need /want of acceptance / belonging.

(I'm about to have a mini-rant of my own, and disclaimer, it's largely informed by my terrible foundation of the UTRH movie + fandom osmosis + the occasional page/panel drop/arguments from other fans skdndndj sO GRAIN OF SALT THE SIZE OF RHODE ISLAND: )

Because yes yes absolutely! It would take serious work on Both sides for Jason to be brought back into the fold. They would both need to want it, and someone would have to be willing to bend on what they are ok with letting slide. Bruce would have to allow Jason his independence and divergence in philosophy; Jason would have to make concessions to Bruce's hard anti-murder stance.

There would have to be compromise, and reparations of some kind. They would have to actually talk and be able to listen. Apologies exchanged (mostly from Bruce because lmao) and a bunch of stuff people with the whole picture could probably tell me better lmao. ALL HARD ASKS

Because yes yes yes!! Jason's convictions and his beliefs ABSOLUTELY run deeper than his desire for acceptance. That's not-so-low-key the biggest obstacle for both him and Bruce in their ever reconciling. It's why Talia was able to manipulate him at all (idk the specifics of that, but details), it's why he hatched a deeply convoluted plan to get back at Bruce and the Joker and fuck over Black Mask in one fell swoop.

He wanted to confront Bruce with the consequences of letting Joker run around even after committing a deeply heinous and personal crime. Show him that taking a more intense and hands on approach and cracking down HARD on the crime families in Gotham would have more immediate results than what Bruce did. And that's not even getting into the Robin stuff yet lol

I don't personally agree per se with Jason's stance on murder and crime fighting lmao - but I also think he has a goddamn point, especially in this universe. In the world of batman, where death can be impermanent and supervillains pull all kinds of heinous, torturous bullshit, Jason has a lot of righteous and justified anger about how Bruce does things, on top of his hurt and betrayal over how both he and his death were treated.

Bruce's stance makes sense to me too, in a 'everyone deserves a second chance' and 'no one is beyond redemption' and 'its a slippery slope' perspective. But at some point you have to wonder about accountability. About what's acceptable. When the Joker is an unrepentant, murderous, sadistic criminal who has demonstrated that he cannot be adequately jailed or rehabilitated, what do you do? Do you ever give up on him? When is enough enough? Is the death penalty ever justifiable?

It's what makes Jason vs Bruce's arguments interesting and tragic to me, because from Jason's perspective, he is seeking retribution for himself as a victim. He is an avenger for victims failed by the system as it stands. And the system fails a lot of people. It needs to change. (And it's something being felt very strongly by a lot of people rn IRL which makes Jason's ideals v sympathetic.)

But from Bruce's perspective, Jason has given up. He has lost hope in the inherent goodness of people. He no longer seeks to find the good in people; he has decided that there exists instead a sharp dichotomy, that there is such thing as a bad person who deserves to die for what they've done, and for being bad. As opposed to seeing deeply injured people who need help, even when you find them repulsive. Rotten work, that.

Bruce sees the end of the path that Jason is on, and it's a bullet that Jason puts in his own brain - because if there are good people and bad people, and bad people deserve to die... won't Jason lump himself in with the bad people eventually? (I am once again standing on my 'Jason Todd wants to die on some level' soapbox)

Anyway, all this to say - there is a sharp divide in Bruce and Jason's methods/beliefs that makes their reconciliation impossible if neither of them is willing to budge. And when they both see budging as a terrible thing to do, a failure to the very people they are dedicating their lives to protecting...well.

It's gonna take a lot of angst and a lot of work.

i’m assuming based on the history and how you’re talking abt this that you might still be interested in keeping the friendship and if so you just have to be that much more careful (if not, disregard this lmao)

if you do want to keep the friendship, tell them you don’t think either of you are in a place where it would be the best choice for you to keep dating but you do still want them in your life one way or another. only thing here is make sure it doesn’t sound like there’s a chance you’ll get back tg (unless there is ofc)

basically it’s a very delicate situation and i have no idea what i’m talking abt so take all of this w a grain of salt

just know that you’re doing the right thing by ending it bc it’s wayyy better than dragging it along plus you’d prolly subconsciously be less involved in the relationship and they’d be losing their mind over what might be going on

OK but let's be honest here... When are these boys NOT looking for an excuse or place to make-out??? 🙃😏

LMAO but on a fr note 👏 the first time any of the boys actually got all smoochy with Chrysta was out of pure spite.

Marko and Paul had gotten into a stupid hissy fit over which of their bikes Chrysta was gonna ride home on. It got to a point David had stepped in to tell them to act like the dumbass adults they were or she'd riding home with him.

Yeah... They didn't like that.

The blondes were already at each other's throats for most of the night, even with Chrysta squished between them with her arms linked with each of theirs, leading them around the Boardwalk happily (and obliviously. 🤭)

So, it wasn't until later into the night when Paul decided to get all hot and bothered near one of those mini photo booths after Chrysta had mustered up her best puppy-dog-eyes and asked Marko to go get her some ice cream.

Paul really wanted to get on his buddy's nerves, apparently. He wanted to make Chrysta a sight that'd get his curly-haired friend baring his fangs in jealousy. Legit went down like this:

"Oh! When Marko gets back, can we go on the ferris wheel, Paulie? Pretty plea-AEEK-!" *gets dragged into the photo booth*

By the time Marko got back, he saw Paul cooly walk out of the booth with the smuggest side-eye, quickly followed by a VERY flustered Chrysta.

You know in the cartoons when they get covered in kisses and have that lazy dopey love-drunk look on their face, hair and close all unkempt and crazy, and sunglasses crooked, and they walk around all dazed and in a dream-like state, unable to stand straight?

That was Chrysta.

She also drove home with David that night. :/

So, given her true first date was probably the night she even met the boys (which was just a cruise around the boardwalk and beach on the back of David's bike.) The actual/official second date was a movie night at Chrysta's house (the first time ever invited them in too 👀) in her attic bedroom.

She rented Fright Night (OH THE IRONY CHERRY), and they all got an excuse to get snuggly with her and let her cling onto them when she got scared. She was whining and complaining the whole time how they didn't even flinch at any scares or the twists!

... They're exscuse was that they've just seen it too many times. 🤭😏

6. What kinds of kisses does your F/O give you? What kinds of kisses do you give your F/O?

David is probably first (or at least comes into a hot second) when it comes to being one to kiss Chrysta the most. Wether it be a little peck on the lips after she comes running over to him perched on his bike, asking for a couple dollars so she can go buy a sweet or pretty jewelry.

Or a slow, passionate kiss to show her off and who she belongs to if he sees people staring at her just a little too long for his liking. 🫣🙈

Marko is probably more touchy than he is kissy, but he isn't gonna deny his angel-face from a little kiss here and there if she's just being too cute - he can't help it! Especially when he picks on her enough to see her pout her lips out - he just has to steal a quick peck. 🥺

Or he gives her some chaste kisses to her shoulder or cheek from behind her if they're sat and doing nothing for too long and he just wants to start shit. 🙄

Dwayne’s a guy who does not PLAY when it comes to kisses. Either go big or go home. 🫠🫡

And he also doesn't do them as constantly as the other Boys do, so much so when Chrysta wants a good kiss before she's taken back home for the night, she usually just stands in front of him, her lips pursed and her index finger tapping against them. Waiting patiently for when he leans his head down just a little, a hand reaching to the back of her head and one sneaking into the back pocket of her jeans to tug her closer.

And oh MY HEAVENS IF YOU THINK PAULS MAKE-OUTS MAKE THIS GIRL A PUDDLE-

She's literally sneaking back into her room through her window giggling and twirling her hair, all in a tizzy with her cherry-favlored lipgloss smeared at the corner of her lips and chin. 💀💀

And fighting David for the most often smooches with Cherri is probably Paul. Without a doubt there isn't a second in the night when he isn't trynna do something to get kiss as a reward. Winning her gifts, buying her jewelry or clothes, spoiling the ever loving guts out of his Dime-Piece so he can get that feeling of her lips against his for just a little longer. 🫠🤤

And sometimes, he gets way too impatient to wait for the kisses to just come to him and takes matters into his hands. It's become normal/second nature to the curly-haired brunette to feel Paul just come up behind her and start leaving a few kisses on her neck or pout against the back of her ear, making huffing noises till she's finished talking to whoeever so he can snatch up a little smoochy.

TBH she probably learned the nature from Paul himself when it comes to getting kisses from Dwayne LMAO

9. What's your F/O's favorite cuddling position? Yours?

Given the boys sleep in rafters upside down, snuggles are rare. Even when they decide to bunk with Chrysta in her bed at her home, Marko and Paul are usually the only ones who are willing to take up the offer and gladly (+ literally) jump into her bed and spoon her.

But those rare days, when the summer chill runs through Santa Carla, and it's enough to irk they're cold undead bodies, they don't mind a cuddle puddle with they're own personal heater girlfriend.

Davids usually the one who has her laying facing him, her face buried into his neck, a leg lazily thrown atop his torso, or vice versa. Dwayne lays behind her, arms snuggled around her waist and face hidden away in his hair and her back. Marko lays squished between David and Chrysta's abdomens, arms wrapped around her hips below Dwayne’s and his face hidden into her stomach, resting against the soft chub on her tummy as his own (and favorite) little cushion. Paul lays at her legs, his body wrapped around them like a koala and his head rested on her rear.

It only takes about thirty minutes before Chrysta tries to pry all the cold bodies off of her feverish one... Pray for her these fuckers sleep like the DEAD. 🙏

Han, my dear, if it wasn't for you, then none of us would give much attention to Heidegger (at least I know it would be my case). He was a character I remember from the OG and which I thought was nicely designed in the FFVIIR and... I stopped there. 'Nice, they kept his laugh', I thought when the trailer got out.

And then I met you and - honestly, I cannot stress this enough - you have essentially removed this veil from my eyes and I saw Heidegger for the first time as you do: a multi-layered individual with deep-rooted issues, fiercely loyal to company & country and with so many other traumas and details that make him only human (and not a monster).

I am always in awe at all the sources of inspiration you have for him, at how insanely credible your thoughts his PTSD and other war-related issues are, the way he was brought up, came to marry and then divorce - honestly, for me, your Heidegger portrayal is THE Heidegger portrayal. I don't mean this to dunk on anyone else (or even SE), but because the way you have put him together makes so much _sense_ in my mind that I have a hard time disconnecting your Heidegger from canon.

As far as I'm concerned - his first name is Magnar, he comes from Junon, he has a rivalry with Godo, a behemoth gave him the trademark scar, he has two daughters and a divorce wife. I love everything about your timeline for him and always will. If anything, SE should give you royalties for the superb work. <3

i messaged you already kinda buggin out a lil over this but i want it on my blog (ALONG WITH ALL YOUR LOVE CAUSE YOU ALWAYS GIVE ME LOVE BECAUSE YOU'RE PRECIOUS & THE BEST) just so i can keep that tag open whenever im feeling stale on my writing or a little crispy with my portrayal. it always means so much to me how much time you've given me and my heid (i say my heid because at this point, i don't know how much is canon aside from his abusive streak to his soldiers & his shinra simping lmao).

but honestly, ive said it before - i'll say it again. i wouldn't be writing him without the support from yourself and others. like, i always talk about how hard it is writing a hated character. he isn't a villain in the same sense as sephi/roth / the turks. they're 'likable'. everything they do is okay because they're young & hot. i know they're more complex than that and personally, i like them a lot too! but it's difficult fighting the battle of there being zero fanart for the character. zero fanfics (aside from ooc / fetish fics). it's tough seeing people make jokes constantly about the character that you like & when i say jokes, i don't mean 'lol seph is a cat' i mean 'lmao could you imagine if him and shinra were GAY lol GROSS' (it's so immature it makes my eyeballs strain).

i know that was a mini rant then, but it always makes me feel a little embarrassed to have such a fixation on such a generally disliked character. makes me feel weird & unwelcome in the fandom haha.

but to know that there are people like you - people who haven't only said 'haha ok, this crazy cookie is doing something w/THIS character' but people who have actively allowed me to explore elements of his character? to get him married? to allow him fatherhood? like BRUH-

it makes my heart warm & fuzzy. i'm sorry i don't always show it & i'm sorry i sometimes get all weepy on the dash about things but it honestly does mean a lot to me.

mari - yourself and others absolutely contributed to me bringing him back & despite any hangups or embarrassment i have over the character. fuck, even in squeenix do some fucked up shit like make him about stolen valour (i REALLY hope they don't) or turn him into a coward (which im prepping for with pre-emptive unwritten headcanons) - he's always going to have a special place in my heart.

Ok so ive been seeing a lot of Harry Potter bashing lately (deservedly) and while it's at the forefront of my brain I've got a bit of a rant to go on that I haven't really ever voiced before. Like it ain't transphobia related or anything, literally just how it's a badly written series

Like listen, as a kid I read them and enjoyed them like every other 90s-born child, but JKR is, among other things, a shit writer that just does NOT think things through. I don't even fully know how to adequately explain how much her crap worldbuilding affected the way I consider the weight of everything I create in my own writing (and dnd campaigns) because I learned in my formative years how much things can affect a world by simply existing, and the Harry Potter universe is a prime example of that done horrendously wrong

This is not me tooting my own anti-bandwagon horn here, but legitimately I stopped enjoying the books waaaaaaayyyyy before there was even a whisper of the gay-dumbledore drama on the winds. Why? Because even as a very young adult I was SO fucking aggravated by the amount of shit that just. Happens. Or simply Exists. With no consequences. Everybody has the argument of "what if they just had guns?" but I'd like to present an opposite argument: the fact that SO MUCH UNIVERSE ALTERING SHIT just EXISTS in this universe that's way more powerful than guns that just really has no effect on the world at large (even the "secret wizarding world") that it was always enormously baffling to me that the main antagonist is even an issue at all.

Time turner? Hello???? Fucking time travel and get this shit over with. Liquid luck? How far does that extend? It's difficult to make, but a highschool professor can make it, so it's clearly not an unobtainable commodity for anyone relatively intelligent or wealthy. How does its existence affect the world? Is it illegal? Restricted? If so, why or why not? Does it really guarantee a success in ANYTHING? If so, why waste it on getting some fucking memories instead of, oh I dunno, using it to permanently kill ol slit-nose? Making an item that could just locate all his horcruxes? Make a magic homing-nuke for him?????

How about the creation of sentient creatures? Y'all give paintings personality, made a car that clearly has opinions, and a fucking mini-dragon just for drama. What are the ethics of that shit? Speaking of dragons, how the absolute FUCK do you keep regular people from discovering absolutely massive magical creatures?

Book one- philosophers stone. Rock that gives you immortality. Was it fought over? Are elixirs of life rare? I'd fucking assume so since it's never talked about after the first book, but also after the first book it's nEVER FUCKING TALKED ABOUT??! THIS IS AN IMMORTALITY AND GOLD CREATING SUBSTANCE, AND YOURE JUST. KEEPING IT IN A SCHOOL. OR SHIPPING IT OFF TO WHEREVER THEY KEPT IT AFTER THAT (don't remember, which is quite frankly a bad sign lmao), regardless, there's just a dude who can MAKE THEM, and no doctors have tried to get him to talk? Corrupt politicians? Monarchs?? Joe from accounting whose wife is terminally ill?? This is a KNOWN OF THING and it's just never fucking addressed beyond "oh, well the crazy bad guy wants it in this book so I guess he's the ONLY issue with the existence of this world-breaking thing, let's create a puzzle in front of it that even a few 11 year olds can solve, that'll stop him!"

How about the random Super Important Characters And Plot Points that just fucking. Appear when they're suddenly needed even if we've never heard them before (even if we absolutely should have)

I'm absolutely missing more things, I literally haven't touched the series in over a decade to remember, but these are just a FEW of the things that drive me crazy to this day. Like, obviously I know the answer to these questions are just "JKR didnt plan for where the series was going and just randomly went "oh this would be cool" and didnt think about the ramifications of any of the aforementioned cool things" to the point where even a fucking child could go "this is flawed, full of holes, and doesn't make sense"

Do y'all have anything I missed that drive u crazy about a magic thing that should have had serious ramifications existing? I can't be the only one

A/N maybe i moved this up on my request lists bc i woke up today and went 'nikolai lantsov'

- i'm being a little liberal with cannon bc my mind first went to 'princess! reader who hates nikolai bc they're competitive and then they have to team up together to try to get their parents to break up their arranged marriage but fall in love in the process (this might be a little undetailed but i'm thinking of writing a full fic or mini-series with this plotline so let me know if you'd be interested!! i could see a smutty ending to that fic but idk,, lmk what you thing ig lol)

- Ok so first off enemies to lovers with the loml nikolai lantsov would be SO GOOD bc he's so dramatic and obviously attractive so even though you hate him you know he's hot,, there's never a dramatic realization that he's attractive bc it's just a fact

- butttt you'd rather give up any claim you have to your family's throne than feed his already gigantic ego

- okk but lets get to the beginning of your enemies to lovers relationship

- so basically every summer your parents go and stay with Nikolai's family at this super fancy vacation home bc your parents are both royalty and your kingdoms have a very healthy relationship

- just bc it's the summer season doesn't mean it's summer vacation,, so as children for about a month you two share a tutor,, and when i tell you that created a rivalry so fast i mean it

- you're not the eldest princess and you're always trying to be the best for your parents approval, nikolai just wanted to impress the really smart girl who had a pretty laugh (poor nikolai lol,, he had no way of knowing how important being the best in school no matter what was to your self esteem)

- maybe if you two could communicate you’d like each other a little better at this point but it starts when you’re pretty young and by the time you’re like 13 it’s a solidified dynamic (and 13 year olds are the MEANEST and most insecure people in the world so that’s when your relationship turns to full enemies)

- now that you’re 13 you have more princess-y requirements, especially over the summer. So when you see that Nikolai gets to practice with swords and gets more free time while you have to practice setting tables you hate him more than ever.

- Nikolai senses that you’re extra hostile but he has no idea why,, he tries asking once but he makes a joke about how ‘maybe you’re jealous bc youre no longer the center of my attention’ and even though he’s just trying to ease the tension you feel like he’s making fun of you

- so that’s when things get aggressive, but at that point summer is almost over so it’s whatever

- next summer comes and you’re still SO MAD at him,, so when you get to the estate you’re like ‘i’m not even talking to him idc how quiet these next three months are’

- and you get there all determined to hate him,, but once you get there and see him something in you cracks bc he had the audacity to spend the last year going through puberty AND LIKE HE’S ALWAYS BEEN CUTE BUT THIS IS SOMETHING ELSE

- so youre mentally panicking bc how do you even talk to someone that looks like that now???? but then you remember that you didnt even want to talk him so in a panic youre like ‘maybe i can avoid him and he’ll just assume it’s bc i hate him bc i do,, who cares if he’s unbelievably hot now’

- nikolai doesn’t assume anything, he just gets to the estate and is like ‘why hasn’t she insulted me yet?? is she suddenly too good to give me attention?’ so during the lessons that you still share he gets an idea

- he decides to one-up you in everything bc that’s always gotten a reaction out of you

- it works,, every time he corrects you or steals an answer from you, you’re ready to snap but then you look at him and take in his stupidly perfect face and you just shut up

- nikolai thinks it’s not working so he just tries harder

- by the end of week one you can’t take it anymore so when the tutor leaves at the end of lessons you snap, you tell him off for how often he’d repeat what you said and change a few words and get all the praise from the tutor

- on the inside he’s like ‘took long enough’ but the more you rant he’s like ‘is she okay???’ he’d be more concerned if you weren’t threatening his pride and at this point he’s still annoyed bc if you were that annoyed you should have just talked to him instead of ignoring him for a week

- he’s thinking that just bc you got really pretty over the last year doesn’t make you too good to yell at him on the daily

- the worst thing anyone can do to nikolai is ignore him LMAO (lowkey relatable)

- so he starts arguing with you and you’re so upset that you forget about how aggressively attractive he is

- and you two are alone in this room and the more you argue the closer you two get

- the climax of the argument is when neither of you are yelling, you’re just so mad you’re beyond raising your voice and once you’re both at that point it goes like this:

“Nikolai Lantsov, you are the most insufferable person I’ve ever met”

“Well then, Darling, you should look in a mirror.”

“You are so entitled, so ridiculously self obsessed that it ruins your attractiveness.”

“...” he literally just like blinks twice. “You think I’m attractive?”

“Uh? No--i didn’t say that at all, maybe if you didn’t have the language comprehension of a child you’d understa--” he just reaches forward, grabs the collar of your dress, and kisses you.

- it’s your first kiss so you have no idea what you’re doing and it’s with some one you CANT STAND and you’re so mad bc you had expectations for your first kiss and he’s taken that from you--but the thing is,,

- he’s good at it. Like really good at it. Like so good it makes you curious about what he does the nine months of the year he’s not stuck here with you bc there’s no way he hasn’t had practice.

- but you’re also extremely confused and nervous and aware of how stupid you’re being (and a little hormonal bc being 14 isn’t easy) and then he places his hand on your cheek and that snaps some sense of reality into you bc it’s one thing to enjoy the kiss but another thing entirely to want him to escalate it

- so you place one hand on his chest and push him off of you slightly. He takes the hint, pulls away enough to look at you and then you two just stare at each other

- your hand is still on his chest and you have absolutely no idea what comes next, but you find yourself looking at his lips

- since you haven’t slapped him or pulled away more than a few inches he thinks maybe things are okay so he leans forward slightly and kisses you again.

- you reciprocate a little too fast, the kiss lasts two seconds before thinking about how insane you’re being so you push away entirely.

- He lets you go,, and in the most awkward display ever you’re like ‘uh I need to go,, i can’t be late to ball preparation lessons’ and you leave that room faster than you’ve ever left a room in your entire life.

- the next day you consider pretending to be sick to avoid him but that would only give him more power over the situation so you go,, and he’s just sitting there calmly

- youre on edge the entire day but he never even jokes about it

- a part of you is a tiny bit annoyed bc who kisses you and then pretends it never happened? but overall, you’re relieved

- the days pass and it never comes up but now whenever you two argue you think of how quickly kissing him both shut him up and got rid of your tension

- the summer goes by quickly, your usual dynamic has returned and you wonder if he even remembers kissing you. twice. in a row.

- the next couple of years are normal,, even when you two no longer take lessons together you still dont like him. He’s just so assured and he takes such joy in bothering you.

- and then one summer your parents sit you down and they’re like ‘we need to plan the future alliance of our kingdom’

- you’re a little confused bc you’re rarely allowed to sit in on these things bc you’re a girl and you’re basically meant to just be a royal’s bride--and then you realize why you’re there.

- you start protesting before your father can finish announcing your engagement

- the parents were smart bc they announced it at the end of summer so you two couldn’t drive them crazy or conspire

- the first thing you do when you get back to your castle is write to him for the first time ever

- your letter is basically ‘pls tell me you’re doing something’

- the two of you talk until you come up with the plan to get your parents to break up your engagement

- your parents dont really care about your feelings and they expect the two of you to argue with them,, but they care about the kingdoms

- so you two decide that if you act like youre so in love that you let your duties slip the engagement will end,, especially if you two are in love in a toxic way

- so the next summer you two make sure to flirt and act like youre totally obsessed with each other and skip lessons together and just are constantly together and acting like you’re on a honeymoon

- your parents are like ?? since when

- at one point you flirt with a random guard just so Nikolai can have a ‘jealous outburst’ while your families are strolling through the garden

- ngl jealous nikolai had you ready to RISK IT ALL,, you were ready to drop the plan and marry him on the spot

- he notices bc he notices everything about you and when your family walks away he gives you a quick kiss and youre stunned,, much to his delight

- your desire to break up your engagement takes a slight backseat in your mind bc you decide to set off on a secret goal to make him flustered

- it doesn’t take much, your dresses get a little more risky, your comments get a little more suggestive

- the only problem?? he seems to have his own personal goal and it’s to make you even more flustered than he is

- soon the two of you are lost in layers of pretend and competition

- when your parents are finally thinking about delaying the engagement and keeping you two away from each other until you calm down a little (i feel bad for them,, an entire summer of being surrounded by the ULTIMATE sexual tension)

- you’re sad and you don’t know why bc this is what you wanted, but then Nikolai stands up and says that you two planned for this and he has the letters to prove it (he was ready to drop the receipts LMAO) and youre like ??what are you doing?

- and he says he’d rather marry you then never see you again bc now all he wants is to get know you bc he has no idea how he wasted so much time arguing with you

- and you just meltttt but your in front of your entire family and his as well so you just sit there for a minute and then you tell him you feel the same way

- but the summer’s over

- you kiss him before leaving and he says you’ll have to visit bc he can’t go an entire year without seeing your ‘pretty face’

- you promise to visit him soon

- your at home for exactly a day and a half before getting an invitation to visit him

- you laugh bc the only way that letter could get to you that fast is if he mailed it before you even left

- you say yes obviously,, and spend some time having a really cute fall-dating vibes together until you figure out how you really feel

- and you feel like he makes your heart STOP and that’s why you hated him,, bc you didn’t like being vulnerable

Hi! Just wondering, does Sapphire have a last name? or did you mention it I just missed it somewhere. I always have to do a double take to check the user whenever I see someone mention 'sapphire' in the tag. Love your blog :)

We have two Sapphire's running around the LU multiverse and I love that for them.

But!!! OK so thanks for asking this because I've been thinking about it a lot too. So back in '07 her name was Sapphire Star because I did absolutely no research and thought oh cool alliteration. And she had a lot of galaxy motif in her appearance and she was also SUPER important to the story and the universe because of lineage that honestly I got super invested in over the past few years (witches, time travel, savior of the universe, most powerful Loonatic yada yada yada).

HOWEVER, 2020 reboot Sapphire is No One. And I didn't use a last name at first because like..... I didn't think of a new one yet lmao. But over time it's now become its own motif because her dad was never really in the picture, and after her mother died she was adopted by a couple. So legally she uses their double-barrelled last name as her own but beyond that she's Just Sapphire. There's nothing important or special about her lineage or family in this version.

good morning everyone I’m here to vent bc I’m pissed off but no one needs to read it I just wanna complain (oh god this is a long rant lmao)

My boyfriend's ex is absolutely driving me insane. She rings him all hours of the fucking day. Last Saturday (might have been Sunday) she rang him five fucking times before 12, and his daughter also rang him twice too in that time. Most evenings we watch an episode of a tv show and we are constantly getting interrupted, the other day she rang 3 times during one supernatural episode, she rang 4 times while we were trying to watch the fatws finale. And it’s never major stuff, it’s almost always something minor or something that could very easily be texted to him for him to text back whenever he gets the chance. She also constantly rings him during work. It’s normally about their daughter and it’s normally just along the lines of ‘she got stressed today about this and she was sad about this’ but it’s usually all small things. He just can’t get a break.

This week she’s been harassing him over some stuff he had to buy for her (nothing important or urgent) and he offered to post these things down to her on Monday so they’d be with her by today when she needed them but she told him she wanted him to actually come down Monday in person to discuss stuff with their daughter. It’s an hour’s drive there, an hour back, probably longer with traffic around that time. She expects him to drive down there at 6pm after he’s finished a full day at work (9 until 6), not get home until AT LEAST 8pm but probably closer to 9, he has a medical condition that causes him to be chronically tired, and where do we even fit in food in that time? He said no, so she said ‘oh ok, don’t worry about it then, don’t worry about posting them, I’ll figure it out it’s fine’

but now it’s Friday and she wants us to drop them down today, and he said to me yesterday when she told him this that he was absolutely not getting roped in to talking for half an hour, we’re going down and straight back because he’s absolutely exhausted after a stressful work week. This morning he got a phone call at 8am (a fucking hour before he has to get up, he’s working from home) from his daughter saying ‘you know how you love me and would do anything for me EVEN if you were really tired? well can you take me to get ice cream when you come down?’ so he’s now agreed to do that because he can say no to his ex but he can’t say no to his daughter. She’s even coming up to stay with us next weekend, and we spent a lot of last weekend with her, in fact we’ve seen her loads recently so it’s not like she hasn’t seen him. His daughter then spent a good 45 minutes on the phone to him, though she doesn’t talk much, she just gets on with whatever she was doing before she phoned and occasionally tels him about it while he sits and listens

I don’t blame his daughter at all, she’s just a kid, but his ex should fucking step in and say something like ‘no, you shouldn’t wake your dad an hour before his shift starts just to ask for ice cream, why don’t you text and ask him later instead?’ or preferably ‘your dad is probably going to be too tired to do that after his shift, but you’re seeing him next weekend so you can do it then’

and I fucking hate the slightly manipulative language his daughter often uses because I know she’s picked it up from her mum. I know she used to be very manipulative in the past and I think she’s a good person at heart but she’s done some crappy things and treated him horribly in the past. There’s been times in the past where his ex has phoned and asked my boyfriend to do something (usually drive down after work to discuss something or other) and he’s said no, and then ten minutes later he gets a call from his daughter saying ‘daddy I’m sad today, can you please come down and see me? I miss you so much’ and these phone calls almost always happen after he’s said no to his ex about coming down. It’s manipulative bullshit and yeah I’m not pissed at his daughter because she’s like 10 and she’s just learning all this stuff from her mum

and he HAS agreed to go down in the past before plenty of times despite the long drive if it’s urgent, even if it’s fairly minor, if he thinks his daughter needs him then he’s there, every time. It just pisses me off so much. He’s not appreciated at all, he’s constantly running errands for his ex, constantly picking things up for her from shops and driving all the way there to bring her stuff, neither of us are sure why her husband never seems to do these things since he drives and only works part time.

Sorry for the long rant I’m sure no one’s read this far but it helped to get out. His daughter is starting to show little signs of being manipulative and she’s also being extremely rude at the moment to people and even bullying other kids at school a bit but tbh I am not surprised. This Christmas she got an iphone (latest one), a VR headset, a laptop, an ipad, an expensive professional digital camera, and something else I’m forgetting along with a lot of toys and expensive designer clothes. She also got a keyboard a few days after Christmas for expressing very brief interest in playing the piano (she’s barely touched it since, same with the VR headset, laptop and camera) and then got a mini fridge next month from her mum AFTER she’s already agreed with my boyfriend that she had to save up and buy the mini fridge with her pocket money. This kid is spoiled as hell. My boyfriend doesn’t like or agree with it but there’s not really much he can do.

a company is going to make their decisions, whether they listen to people or not is their own thing. if someone doesnt like what a company is doing with a game, franchise, or whatever, it’s ok to just... stop supporting them. you boycotting a multimillion dollar company probably won’t hurt them any, tho

So Alec the amazing + Magnus the magnificent = the most chaotic, loving, hilarious, and just all round incredible ship ever. I mean can we just talk about how nervous they were in trsom?!?! They were so terrified to show their feelings toward each other and now here were are after tlbotw and those guys have 2 kids, whom they parent really well! And on that note: MAX AND RAFE ARE THE CUTEST CHILDREN IN EXISTENCE AND MALEC ARE THE BEST DADS EXCEPT FOR MAYBE JULIAN BLACKTHORN I SAID WHAT I SAID. *deep calming breath* Ok, and the breakup scene in the 5th book of tmi was HEARTBREAKINGGGGG omg I was an emotional wreck by the end of that story! I almost threw my kindle, I was that enraged! Cassie can’t just treat my babies like that! They deserve a happily ever after so much! But yeah, I can just imagine Magnus conjuring a bunch of parenting books, and alec reading them nonstop because you know how much he loves rules and planning. And then Magnus has to pry the book from his hands and tell Alec what an amazing dad he is and that he should never worry about parenting their kids and omg i’m getting emotional just thinking about it! ahh I need a scene like thissssss (mental note to write one later) All right and now I really should do my homework so I’m gonna stop here, but there’s plenty more to talk about 😁
