pairing: Charles Leclerc x Lando Norris x femalereader

summary: Charles, Lando and you and unbreakable Trio but what happens when you find out that they both have feeling for you.

It all started because of a stupid interview you had with an mega hyped motorsport podcast.

One of them asked you “So Y/n we all know that due to your job as an f1 journalist you are really close to the whole grid. But our listeners would probably like it if you would share who your fav is”

You chuckled at the question, knowing that this question has just one logical answer.

“Oh I could never choose one. I like them all really, they all have different personalities and I really enjoy spending time with them” you said politely.

The podcaster just looked at you and smirked, knowing that they had some proof which 2 drivers you are definitely more around.

“Oh really we have seen you many times around with Charles and Lando. These two are definitely up on your list right? They have also shared that they enjoy having you around or during post race interviews with you.” You laughed at their statement. “Really they said that? Wow I feel so special. Yes ok fine, Lando and Charles are definitely up there” you had to keep your big smile back thinking about them.

In reality Lando, Charles and you were extremely close. You 3 had your own post race traditions and made movies nights after each qualifying.

You liked hanging out with them you would even describe them as your best friends on the grid.

What you didn’t know was that Charles and Lando weren’t actually that close and played friends in front of you. Both being lovesick idiots for you. They both were desperate for your attention. Lando did not hate Charles but he despised the fact that Charles could be a perfect match for you.

Charles thought that Lando would be a good friend for you but he was too childish for you. Charles was convinced that he was the man you wanted.

You were sitting in Landon’s driver room because he wanted you to wait for him there after practice 1 ended. You scrolled through your phone and read some comments about your interview in the hyped motorsport podcast. Some people shipped you with Lando some said that you and Charles were definitely an endgame. You shook your head with a smile on your face. “Who got you smiling like that darling” a male voice said.

“God Lan you scared me” Lando chuckled at your words. “You didn’t answered my question” he started walking towards you and sat next to you on his couch. He took your phone knowing that you trusted him and he could see what got you smiling. You watched his face and analyzed his reaction.

“ I think they are right” he suddenly said and turned his head to look at you. “About what part? Shipping me and you or that Charles and I would be the perfect endgame” you teased him.

Landos eyes got smaller, jealousy started growing in him. “Don’t do that” you looked into his eyes. They looked like tears were forming. Did that made Lando emotional? His lips were in a tight line. He didn’t dared to speak out his thoughts. I like you y/n please don’t choose Charles.

You started deep in his eyes. Suddenly the room was filled with tension and hot air. You could feel the need to kiss him. Fuck no that wasn’t right, he was your best friend right?

You could answer your thoughts because in the next moment your phone vibrated.

“Yes” you picked it up still haven’t stopped the eye contact.

“Y/n it’s Charles where are you I have to see you mon amour” the monegasque said.

Landos eyes filled with more sadness but instead of saying anything he took your phone and answered Charles for you.

“Yo it’s Lan we will be there in a minute ok bye” and with that he ended the call. “That wasn’t very nice Lan” you laughed. “Who said I have to be nice all the time”

After 5 minutes you found Charles. He tried to overplay the feeling of jealousy that he felt every time when he saw you alone with Lando. “Hey Charlie” you said and hugged him. Charles and Landos eyes met during the hug. Charles smirked knowing that you were the only one that gave Charles that nickname. Landos blood boiled and his face couldn’t cover that he didn’t liked Charles hands on you.

But somehow you were always the only one who didn’t seem to see the behavior of both boys.

After the hug you 3 went to the cafeteria and ate some post race day snacks. Of course the boys choose something more healthier that fitted into their diet.

“I will use the restroom for a second if you’d excuse me” you said and left the boys alone.

“Did you have a great time with her in your driver room?” Charles asked with a raspy voice. Lando laughed because he nodded with a smirk on his face. “You know little Lando in the end it will always be me” Charles said confidently.

“And why would you think that” Lando laid back into his chair. “Because she already chose me” Charles said and emptied his drink.

“Did she?”

Okay so I describe Sukuna as a student (bully) in Jujutsu High (Au)

He is a student who cause many troubles but has high reputation on sports

Obviously he is Itadori's his twin with a DIFFRENT personality.

Itadori is basically the sunshine character and a very talkative person who can light up someone's day.Sukuna his twin,brings destruction.

Sukuna likes smoking he have been caught multiple times .

He has a motorcycle.Every night he bet with his friends racing with their motorcycles on a empty.He always won in every single laps.He got home at 3:00 am .Sometimes he got caught sneaking out of the house and ended up got grounded.He doesn't even care.

Many people think that he is a "curse" and also brings bad luck in the family .Itadori is different than Sukuna.Their attitude.Itadori is a teen with full of manners While Sukuna is just rude .

Sukuna is a good-looking red flag that girls are drooling over him.He likes it.

Itadori always cares about how Sukuna is.How he acted .He talked to him but he never listens. He hoped one day someone will.

In class Sukuna likes to bully students like putting glue on Megumi's Bubble tea, Scribbled Nobara's face with a her expensive lipstick , stepping on Itadori's shoes when he opens it (come on Sukuna it's your twin :( )

-You are a new student that transferred to Jujutsu High.You transfered there because of You got accepted.

-You introduced yourself to your class teacher ,Gojo sensei and the other students.Everyone thinks that you are unlucky to be in this class because of Sukuna.But he thinks that you are his next victim.

You didn't even know that this class is so problematic because of him.Gojo sensei decided to let you sit with Sukuna because he has another empty sit beside him .You think is A -Okay but the students think that it's the end of your life .

When he first saw you he got so annoyed and a bit happy that you get to be his stressed bag.If he wanted to hit someone he just hit you.-"Oh great another loser" he thought while playing with his pen.

-You sat beside him as he gives you the sideeye expression as you introduced yourself to him not knowing he is a bully in class "Hello I'm (Y/n) Nice to meet you.I hope we can be friends" You greet him politely as you offer him a hand to shake.

-He was so loading of the expression you gave.Why did you greet him? Do you who he is? He rolled his eyes saying something rude "I suggest fools like you should shut their mouths'' Dang bro it's my first day..

-You stunt at his response.Okay maybe he is just awkward towards me.Just ignore him...You turn away from him as you open your fav novel and read.

-While you are reading their some students calling you.You looked at them seeing a pink-haired boy, a raven haired boy who is looking at you and a brunette haired girl calling your name inviting you to hang out at their table.

-Who are you to let go off the offer? You immediately get up from your tables go straight to them.They introduce themselves and handed you a chair to sit beside one of them who are Itadori ,Megumi and Nobara.You talked about yourself so they are , laughing about Itadori's jokes ,Megumi asks you about hows life in your old school and Nobara sharing about her lifestyle and glow up tips.Yall just can't stop talking.

-But little do you know that Sukuna was watching you from afar.He suddenly felt so annoyed with you.Something that he wanted to do to you.He grips his pen tightly like he wanted to kill someone while watching you talking happily to your new friends.

-It is now recess The trio invited you to join for recess.You and Itadori queueing up at the cafeteria to buy some foodwhile Megumi and Nobara are finding the perfect for the four of you to eat.

-You bought a bowl ramen and a strawberry milk while Itadori bought himself a rice bowl with noodles on top.You walked behind him as he guides you to the table that Megumi and Nobara has already sat.You are not looking straight your eyes wandered around the cafeteria looking at other students and admiring the view outside.

-Out of the blue, you step on something as you tripped at the cafeteria with your ramen spilled on the ground.

-Wait..where is the strawberry milk?Oh no..You are now on the ground trying to get up.The trio immediately put went up to you and helped you getting up , cleaning your uniform a bit.

-You looked up and realised the strawberry milk carton is on Sukuna's head with milk spilled on his uniform.Oh snap you thought as you are going to his direction to move the milk box on his head and apologising.

-He felt so rage .He wanted to kill you .How dare you.How f*king dare you fool.He slaps your hand rudely shouting at you making you startled "What the f*K is your problem?! Why can't you just walk properly stupid?making you feel embarrassed.Everyone was whispering about you."I'm sorry it was an accident I didn't mean to do towards you" I apologised many times but he doesn't wanted to listen.He lifts his arm to slap your face but his twin Itadori blocked him.

-"Dude cut it off.Its her first day" Itadori said coldly.Megumi and Nobara frowned at him as they lift both of your hands on their shoulders. You looked down on the floor not wanting to look at Sukuna nor Itadori.Sukuna hated when when he wanted to bully someone there are "back ups" .He thinks that that the victim are weak having back ups.

"Oh so you are the one to talk huh? Why not her.Is she's scared? such a bitch" he splatters the curse word.You almost teared up a little bit Nobara bark him "Look at the mirror dumbass" as the Trio brings you up together , leaving Sukuna alone.You looked at Sukuna as he looking at you full of rage.You. Are .Now . Scared

"So that's what you wanna play with (Y/n) Don't worry I'll play along~"

Funniest moment?

sorry this is actually asking so much of me. to pick a singular moment... the manga is sooo funny to me, there's too many to pick from. somehow it really perfectly juggles being artful, romantic... but silly, funny, incredulously unserious. i suppose whatever sense of humor aidairo have, i grock it. i feel like i'm really watching their OCs be idiots together ww and i'm enjoying the ride.

there are entire scenes that really feel like everyone has 0 braincells, too dumb to live (endearing) & then just singular drawings, panels, I really love, little things someone said, i really think about. a lot of the time, me and my wife are just tabbing through the manga and recounting scenes we find amusing...

early manga nene is dumb in such a special way.

i think about her. ahh. impulsive and reckless and desperate lolll... it's both amusing and makes me horny. </3

this moment when she's like. ??? maybe tsuchigomori is... gay-!? SOOO funny what is this emotion. eyes swirl, shakes... she's really thinking about the possibility. scandalous... sensei...

oh yes, i should note, i vastly prefer the broadcast club's dynamic over toilet trio, it can't be beat... what i like about it is you have a kind of split between the more childish members (tsukasa, mitsuba) vs the older ones (natsuhiko, sakura) ; overall natsuhiko and sakura are more chill and can de-escalate things. sakura is well meaning and polite, natsuhiko is chill and friendly and will intervene between squabbles w/o concern (just like, sees tsukasa as misbehaving lol, not scary...) BUT natsuhiko is also, a bit of an idiot and, can be caught up in chicanery, so he can also fluidly slide to being a dummy along with mits and tsu.

i'd say my fav after school boy chaps are featuring broadcast club lol, they're just sooo funny... though, to try and focus on the main series (i'll be here forever if i count after school boy skits...) ; tea party is one of my fav scenes. adding nene to the broadcast club is so good, she plays off of everyone well ww, so it's just one thing after the other. the abducting of nene. the? dressing up of nene, into this crazy outfit. the girlfriend mixup. the fact that we are going to have a sillay little tea party.

"they get along surprisingly well" INDEED... i think they have a better group dynamic than toilet trio (since. kou and hanako are kinda contentious by nature...) you don't have anyone like, competing w/ one another in broadcast club so, i think that's why they're better at working together and accomplish more kfjfhjg...

tsukasa fail at eating, drop muffin. offer muffin to sakura. she decline. yes.

this line. incredibly important.

nene-chan quickly submitting to the comradery of the tea party, venting her woes about hanako, dragging him a bunch here. sakura patiently listening, tsukasa hovering about and pawing at things like a toddler.

honestly as i go through this, it's killing me, maybe this is the funniest moment, IDK, this is the funniest panel ever, i wish i could write an essay about everything being said. HANAKO SAYS WEIRD CRYPTIC THINGS AND HE SEXUALLY HARASSES HER, AND HE IS INCONSIDERATE. UNDERLINED & HIGHLIGHTED... it's so bluntly said by nene-chan i want to cry. and then this image of him standing there like a blithe idiot, like he doesn't know he is on trial rn. IT'S TOO FUNNY ACTUALLY...

the. natsuhiko being revealed to be chained beside nene drop, is always funny to me, and it really does appropriately take the 'edge' off the situation. you can't feel TOO worried about her, in the ensuing events... with this, guy, here, it's kind of hard to be alarmed when natsuhiko's demeanor is that way.

i wonder if nene-chan is feeling the dissonance between how upset she got / how absurd hearing natsuhiko beside her is. what is happening... why isn't this as serious as i think it should be...

meanwhile this is really encompassing the manga's romances. really. if you think about it.

ah i feel like i need to limit myself from going through the entire manga chronologically actually, it's fair to say i just like scenes like this ⬆ you get the gist.

who might be karmically as funny as possible, if he ever was seeking to control time — in a more severe context, to alter his relationship with his younger brother. ah, without such memories, you would be irreverent and admit to wanting to do perverted things, eh...? okay........ good luck with that-!!!!!!!!!!! lol

(tangentially related, in the most recent after school boy, he insinuated that being a cat could lead to a bunch of erotic things happening... but hmm, we already know of a world where amane IS a cat, don't we... and whose lap is he in-? hm hmmm...)

Which characters do you tend to have fun on writing the most from each series?

AHHH OMG YAY I GET TO GEEK OUT!! Thank you for the question anon, I am more than happy to answer this!!! <333 Also, I'm going to do every fandom if you don't mind! Just because every fandom and every character is different!

JJBA

-> So, JJBA is such a fun series to write for and it just has SO MUCH. Picking a favorite is super difficult, but I have found myself having a lot of fun writing for characters for part 6 and 7 as they are my favorite parts. Particularly, I love writing for Pucci since I love religious villains and it gives me a fun excuse to do some delving into learning about religion. And I love writing for Gyro since he is one of my favorite characters and I have always found him fun to write for!! That and villains like Kira, because he is such a weird one that I get to play with his character honestly

FINAL FANTASY

-> Now, I don't write for this fandom often because I don't have a ton of followers for it, but I LOVE writing for the chocobros. FFXV is actually one of the things that got me into fanfic writing, so I love writing for them because it's nostalgic for me <3

KINGDOM HEARTS

-> Any of org 13. It is so fun to write for these characters that are supposed to be emotionless and add that level of raw emotion. It just makes it way more fun to play around with some stuff that has been revealed in game and then add my own twist to some of it!

HAIKYUU!!

-> I love writing for Tendou!!! He is such a goofy character who I really loved and every time I have wrote for him, I just have a huge smile on my face lol. I can't get over that one fic where they just go to the convenient store at like 3am, it's still one of my favs

HUNTER X HUNTER

-> Illumi. I don't write for him often, but this heartless killer of a character with no emotion is just something else to write for. Plus, I love a bit of scary stuff in a fic sometimes and I have this headcanon that he has a closet just full of dolls, so yeah, I love writing for him in the spooky way. And I'm sorry to say it, but Hisoka too. He loves pissing off y/n and is fun to write for. OMFG AND I ALMOST FORGOT CHROLLO!! Again, another religious type villain who's really interesting and fun to play with. Especially since he hides who he is in front of others, it's a lot of fun. Just the entire adult trio lol

THE ARCANA

-> Asra and Julian. I am a huge plague doctor fan and know a lot about the plague, so I get to add that in my Julian writing and he is a highly romantic man so I get to add that aspect too. As for Asra, MC and him have this friends to lovers thing that is always fun for me to write. And he has such a distinct personality that I can't help but have fun!

ONE PIECE

-> Is it illegal to say everyone? JK I actually do have an answer for this one. The only thing is, there are SO MANY CHARACTERS in One Piece who are all different in some way, so they are all fun in their own way to write for! But as for my choice, Zoro. One of my first fics that I was super proud of was a Zoro one. I like watching that idiot get lost and fall into y/n's arms somehow LMFAO. Plus, when he gets lost in the show he usually finds something interesting, so it is easy to get inspired to write for him (also a weird one that I love to write is Brook because I go really in depth with his backstory and make y/n sick af it's awesome) AND CROC OMFG I ALMOST FORGOT. I am the papa croc woman!!

JJK

-> Gojo and Nanami. They are the ones I simp over so yeah. For Gojo, it's nice to just write this stupid character and goof around with him, so he's mostly easy to write for. As for Nanami, I write a lot of characters like him (tired, overworked, etc.) in stuff like books/non fics that I write, so he is easy to nail for me

ONE PUNCH MAN

-> Saitama! He is such an interesting character in general and gives off these fluffy vibes that I love writing. Also, he's just my fav character lol

MHA

-> DABI. Honestly, I don't like MHA that much anymore for fandom reasons and how the anime is. I think it's a great series and all, just not that great if that makes sense. But that's for another day, the point is, Dabi is the only character that makes me still wanna pick up the manga. He is so complex and has always been great. Plus, I LOVE writing the douchey bad boy side of him and making y/n sick of his shit

OVERWATCH

-> I have kind of been known as the Ramattra girl on here LMFAO. I was one of the first people to write a full ass Ramattra fic when he came out, so people came to me with tons of ideas! Because of this, he is probably my favorite to write for. Plus, I love the fluff and angst that he has with him so I LOVE writing for him!!

RECORD OF RAGNAROK

-> I have enjoyed writing for Jack the Ripper a lot because he is a very interesting character, but Hermes is my fav. I love him in the show and his design is chefs kiss. I haven't wrote for ROR much though, so I can't say much yet tbh

RESIDENT EVIL

-> I wrote an amazing Leon fic that I will say didn't get enough love. That being said, I love writing for Leon. He is such a great character in RE2 and RE4 that I get to build off of him so much as the reoccurring character that he is and it's really fun for me (same can kind of be said for Jotaro in JJBA)

ARCANE

-> VIKTOR AND SILCO. This was one of the BEST shows to get writing inspo for because it is very similar to the book I am writing so I love the characters. Silco is such a great villain with this bit of love in him that I find easy to slide in another character like y/n. As for Viktor, I love a crusty scientist, so it's easy for me LMFAO

im watching the animation with my best friend rn, hes over for the next days <3 im almost finished with the second book and so far (in the books) one of my fav moment is when lan wangji tied up wei wuxian with his forehead ribbon, they played tag, wwx kissed him and lwj knocked himself out KABXJC also my fav moment is. basically the entire yi city part. the story of a-qing, xiao xingchen and xue yang made me so unbelievably sad, i was tense all the time bc i was scared for a-qing and that xue yang will find out the truth. i absolutely love xiao xingchen and xue yangs destructive mad love for him is both interesting and terrifying bc xue yang is such a complicated character for me, a bad guy you can also understand...its hard to describe but uhh anyway I LOVE XIAO XINGCHEN AAA I WANNA CRY FOR HIM AGAIN 😭

in the animation we just reached episode 10 i think? im curious if a-qings memory will sadden me as much as it did in the book once it happens. but i really really love it so far, i basically love every scenes with lwj and wwx and also the chaotic trio (wei wuxian, jiang cheng and nie huaisang) whenever they showed up in the beginning 😭 idiots 💕

also i love the juniors sm!!! theyre all babies 😭😭😭 in the book it felt like wei wuxian and lan wangji are the dads watching over their children akshxkx 😭💕

How I feel about this character: sadly, sakurano isnt very important, but i think hes cool! hes very mysterious. i kinda feel like we missed out with him though.

How I feel about this character: idk how to talk abt her really but ill try my best. i do have my fair share of problems with some of her actions, but shes a kid so i forgive her (i always forgive kids. its just how i am). i like watching her become more emotionally open with mikan and her brother. ive been harsher with her before (ive NEVER hated or even disliked her, to be clear! in fact i love her) but my opinions on characters change depending on my mood. i learn smth new w every reread and this time i made sure to examine her closely and im more satisfied with her character development than i was before. i want to be a big hotaru fan! i just dont connect with her as much i guess.

Favorite friendship for this character: i sometimes feel like im too hard on the hotaru/mikan friendship but the truth is i DO like them, theres just something missing that leaves me unsatisfied. do not ask me what it is, i couldnt tell u. maybe its bc i dont connect with hotaru as much. i think my fav scene of theirs is during the escape arc when mikan tells her she has the telepathy alice and thinks she can hear her mom, and hotaru assures her that she can and that she'll see her soon. that scene is fully perfect. i do like them a lot. i also like her friendship with iinchou. her determination to help him during the z arc (to the point where she makes unreasonable decisions, which i always love for her) is so touching and moves me to tears. she loves idiots <3

- my man had the most idiotic idea to ask oikawa how to ask you out

- bc oikawa obviously knew about his crush on you the entire time

- oikawa literally brought him a guitar and a suit and told iwa to serenade you while mattsun and makki throw around rose petals like idiots

- but it turns out that iwa is actually a terrible singer so that idea went to shit (but i feel like he knows how to play a lot of instruments tho)

- oikawa just got sick of his friends inability to woo a girl and so iwa just got you ur fav flowers and a love letter

- so the plan was just to give you the stuff and then happily ever after

- well no

- this whole process took like a month because oikawa kept insisting that he watch from behind the scenes except he just ruined the vibe and iwaizumi couldn't confess when his best friend was staring into his soul

- so iwaizumi failed to confess at least 3 times

- so you did it for him

- it was pretty basic, you just got sick of him trying to ask you out but him only saying something stupid like "nice face" and walking away

- so you just grabbed his arm and was like "lets cut the crap hajime, just go out with me"

- he probably fainted lmao

- the first date couldn't even be counted as a date because oikawa's nosey ass won't leave you guys alone

- if iwaizumi tries to kiss you, oikawa gets between you guys so iwaizumi ends up kissing oikawa's cheek

- he doesn't give two shits if you and iwaizumi get annoyed at him, he insists that he won't let you become corrupted by the monster that is iwaizumi

So I ended up just watching ep 15 on my own time and decided not to liveblog it. I surprisingly enjoyed the episode a lot more than I thought since I’m not in the Star Wars fandom at all. But it was honestly probably one of my fav eps from the season minus the lethan shit.

So. Season finale here we go.

So, lots of thoughts here.

I really liked that episode! I think the Mali!Landon reveal is strong enough to be a season finale type of cliffhanger but overall, this episode didn’t seem like a season finale episode...if that makes sense.

I loved the Maleb superhero road trip! It was very nice to see them together again. Cleo and “Landon’s” own road trip was very interesting and now I’m just curious on what their dynamic would be like with real!Landon. Hope and Clarke...idk I’ve always really enjoyed their dynamic. I don’t ship them romantically but I do really like what I see with them.

I’m so happy we got a Hope and Cleo reunion and conversation. It reminded me why I shipped them in the first place when Cleo compared their own struggles with destiny and fate being unfairly forced upon them.

Now. For the biggest bunch of bullshit this episode. It’s been a while since I watched a show as it was airing where it did something like this. Something so out of nowhere. Just. Why L*than? Is this a cop out? Are the writers really so out of touch with their fanbase? Like...if you HAD to put L*than together then they should’ve built it up from earlier this season.

Talk about forced relationships.

I love the Panda Trio. That is all.

Alright, so if you've been following along with me, Supernatural season 3 starts out on a trio of episodes that are Really Fun, slides into some episodes that are Pretty OK, then takes a real nose dive into Bummersville. Hoo boy guys, I really hope that this season picks up. I mean, it won’t, but I can still dream. 2021 was maybe not the year to start watching this season. Fair warning.

The next three episodes for this season are just, like, real downers. First we get “Fresh Blood,” which, aside from the terrible title, starts out on a high note. Gordon (gross) somehow manages to catch up with Bela (HOW??) and threatens her if she doesn’t hand over the Winchesters. Bela, in all of her class and grace, won’t give them up because she has a high price point and Gordon is really lowballing her here. Just like, yes, ok, please stay forever, you’re amazing and I love you. And what a scene this is! You have two characters, one with a strict moral code (albeit one that allows for violence and winning at all costs) and the other with almost NO moral code, but an allegiance that can be bought with the best price and it’s such a fun back and forth until Gordon pulls out a gun. And then she pulls out her phone and just has Dean on speed dial and that’s maybe my fav part. Bela has run into the Winchesters twice and they maybe legit hate her but she’s very much like, oh yeah, my BFF’s the Winchesters, I love those idiots!

I love that we come back to this moment later in the episode when Bela, like, three days later, is like, Oh! I guess I should warn the Winchesters that some crazy guy is after them! She’s just so casual about it you kind of get the feeling that, even though technically Gordon was threatening her life, she doesn’t view him as A Threat. She gives the Winchesters a heads up just to be like oh yeah, you might want to watch out for this mild inconvenience, and she seems legit shocked when Dean freaks out. There’s this moment that plays across her face like, oh shit, did I...did I fuck up? And it adds a nice bit of depth to her character. She’s seems honestly worried, both for the lives of the Winchesters but also that Dean won’t like her anymore and that is just a charming bit of A C T I N G!

I am gonna miss her SO MUCH when she dies at the end of this season. WHY did we CANCEL HER???

But despite the fun beginning, this episode is about monsters and how people become monsters and how other people are probably the reason. Because our main baddie is a vampire who hunts to...well, listen if we look at the facts that he lays out in his monologue, it’s a little more tragic - he’s trying to replace the daughters that he lost hundreds of years ago, cool motive, still murder. In practice though, he goes around turning hot blonde coeds into vampires and then ?????? Who knows. I’d like to believe that this was a problem with the CW executives or maybe casting/directing and not with the writing, but it’s SPN and you really can’t be sure with anything. The fact is, this is a CW show from the early 2000’s and a lot of their extras are cast to type. And that’s maybe me exhibiting some girl-on-girl crime, but there are other episodes that did a much less blatantly gross job casting their extras/Very Special Guest Stars.

Anyway, the POINT of this guy is that he’s a monster because someone killed his daughter and he’s just been trying to fill that grief hole inside of him for centuries. This is not unlike Gordon, who ALSO has been trying to fill a grief hole that he’s had for decades, except he’s not killing people and resurrecting them as blood suckers, he’s just killing them. And then, when the Vamp decides to turn Gordon it’s a real sweet moment of comeuppance for like, a HOT second and then you’re like, awww dude, ya done f’ed up. That was a bad idea. You’ve made a HUGE mistake.

More importantly, our Vampire In Question finally runs into the Winchesters and get’s to say things like “I was desperate! You ever felt desperate? I've lost everyone I ever loved. I'm staring down eternity alone. Can you think of a worse hell?” and also “I just ... I didn't care anymore. Do you know what it's like when you just don't give a damn? It's like ... it's like being dead already.” and Dean’s v. much like, THIS IS TOO REAL ROY.

Sam may ALSO be feeling Too Real feelings because he is DONE dicking around with Gordon and honestly yes, I like this, this is good Sam development. It’s nice to know that Sam has a breaking point. And I admit I’m of two minds about this moment because 1) I love the idea of Dark!Sam this season and that maybe Sam’s decision to actually kill Gordon is just one step in that process but 2) I ALSO love the idea of Sam Lite finally having a breaking point and Gordon is IT. I don’t know which theory I like more in this scenario, but they are both good theories.

I think as much as this episode wants to draw parallels between the monsters and Dean (thank you artful editors), you can’t look at the “I’ve lost everyone I ever loved,” line and not think of Sam? Cuz he’s got one (1) person left in his life that hasn’t died horribly, so how desperate is he about to get through the end of this season? I’ve definitely been watching this season with eyes on all the ominous Dean foreshadowing, but the Sam foreshadowing is also there, just buried under the heavy weight of a thousand smulders and suicidal levels of denial.

And also, FUCK the tag on this episode! Guys, it is CUTE but it is also HORRIBLE. Dean starts teaching Sam how to fix the Impala and at first it’s all, “Oh! Adorable Brothers Being Brothers!” and I loved it but then I almost immediately hated it because you realize this is about making sure Sam can get along without him once he’s gone and Dean just accepts his own death with such casual ease that it’s just...INFURIATING!

This scene was rude and I HATE IT!

Cut to - “A Very Supernatural Christmas” Special!

Guys, I was so excited when I got to this episode. THIS is Classic Supernatural Shenanigans. Plus, you know a Holiday Special is the ultimate sign that this show has Made It, right? Or it could be a sign that they’re selling out, who knows, but I think we can say that at this point in the series, SPN is established enough to start having fun with their fans. That’s what this says to me. BUT THEN what we get is like...oh boy.

First - like, I’mma beat this horse to death, but what is WRONG with this FAMILY? John Winchester very quickly devolved into the sort of father that forgot about every single holiday and did not ever, even a little bit, make up for it. It’s not a surprise, but it kind of wrecked me seeing a flashback where Baby Dean is just so attached to a father who can’t be bothered to actually care for his children. I know he’s not in this episode because Jeffrey Dean Morgan was tied up in other projects, but the fact that John doesn’t show up at the end to button the flashbacks with a But then he DID show up for Christmas! just makes this plot line that more gutting. And despite Dean’s hero worship of their father, this is maybe the Christmas where Baby Sam stops believing in his own father. The only bright side to this is that it continues to enforce the fact that Bobby should have sued John for custody. Bobby should maybe STILL Sue for custody so that Dean at least would feel like someone wants him for once in his life, damnit.

And then we wrap this episode up with the Best Worst Christmas of all, because we see Sam start to...also?? accept that Dean is about to die? Cuz that’s what this episode is really about - Dean’s Last Christmas. And everything about that makes me ~ u p s e t ~.

So Sam decides to put his curmudgeonly grinchy attitude aside in order to make it a special day for Dean and ugh. UGH. UGHGHGHG. Season three is the worst guys, and I can’t believe I didn’t realize that until right this second now.

So let’s wrap this up with "Malleus Maleficarum", honestly an episode that is mostly forgettable until we get to, like, the last five minutes. Sure, witches and curses and selling your soul, woohoo whatever.

But then we get some real Ruby centric reveals and like, WHAT is happening?? First off, the scene where Ruby and Tammy have a moment is a real Moment. There is some baggage and tension here and it is heavy. And then Tammy drops the mic when she reveals that Ruby used to be human.

THEN, Ruby legit saves their asses by killing Tammy with a fancy magic knife. Ok, Dean does the actual killing, but Ruby brought the fancy magic knife. So between the hot and heavy tension with “Tammy” and her repeated attempts to keep the Winchesters alive, we’re left wondering what IS Ruby’s deal? I personally wonder how much of the show’s mythology the show actually has figured out at this point? Because interviews with Kripke definitely walk the line between “Oh we definitely have this whole thing worked out,” and “yeah, we’re sort of finding things as we go along,” which is maybe why it’s able to last as long as it does. More on that later.

Of course the big kicker is the final scene between Ruby and Dean. Dean is almost on board with Ruby at this point in the season, and much like his scene with the demon in “Sin City”, they share a kind of vulnerable moment together where Ruby admits that, yeah, she was human once and yeah, Hell will destroy you, body and soul, and yeah Dean’s worst fear will probably come true - he will become the thing he hunts, no ifs, ands or buts about it. And Dean knows that Ruby knows that Dean knows that there’s no way to save Dean from his fate, but they both agree that they can’t take Sam’s last ounce of hope away from him because, for both of them, Sam is their hope. Ruby and Dean both see the war happening around them and they know that with Dean gone, Sam’s maybe the last guy holding back the tide to save all humanity.

Which, honestly? Bull shit. Do you know how many hunters are out there? Neither do I, but this season seems to indicate that there are a LOT. We have barely scratched the surface on the hunter community and it’s a damn shame that they are all weirdo loners because there is a war going on. You know what works great in a war? An ARMY. Buncha mentally unstable, martyr-complex ijits who can’t put their differences aside for one damn MINUTE so that maybe, JUST maybe, the could actually defeat the evil they’ve spent their entire lives dedicated to fighting. And if Ruby and Dean wanted to help Sam, what they should probably do is get him plugged in to that community. I do believe that of all they backasswards, self-obsessed, painfully anti-social crazies out there, the Winchesters are THE WORST.

Listen tho, this was like, a solid scene between these two. Just a lot of work goin' into this and it paid off.

Anyway, back to the mythology for a hot second - This sort of loosey-goosey stumbling into your own world building is probably another one of those things that you’ll only really get in a show with this many episodes per season? It’s that room to play and experiment and just make stuff up as you go along. I think the slow drip method of releasing episodes ALSO helps in this scenario because you’re able to see what fans are reacting to in almost-real time. When viewers are binging episodes, I think you're less likely to see what specifically they’re reacting to and more wholistically they’re reacting to. And that’s not to say you won’t see those specific things that they like/love eventually, but by the time you get there, your season’s been produced in its entirety and you’ll have to bear that in mind for (hopefully) next season. But with SPN, they were writing and producing the show at the same time that some of the episodes were airing. That’s why they were able to make decisions on the fly, based on what fans responded to. And definitely by this point in the show, there was a sizeable and vocal fan base that made their feelings VERY well-known. We’re only in season three, but they’ve already had a number of con appearances and a pretty active online presence. That kind of feedback has got to be helpful, from a writing perspective, but it also allows for things like characters getting cut because nobody liked them for some dumb reason. BUT, if you’re fighting to stay on the air for 100 episodes or longer, responding to fan reactions is what’s gonna do it and that’s a fact.

Okay so I will get real with all you guys on this one. I’ll start with a bit of a backstory with this because there is a reason why I love Mikhail so much.

It was about 10 years ago. Imagine a 14 year old me, sitting alone in my dark room. My depression and various other mental illnesses are geting worse every day, they have been dragging me down for years now. I am living with abusive people who love to push me down even further, mocking me and bullying me even though they are considered my family. I was broken. I was in pain. The word ‘s//ui//ci//de’ has been clouding my mind for years now.I just picked up on Resident Evil through parodies of it on youtube. I watched someone play Resident Evil 3 Nemesis online because I remember that we owned that game but I was terrified of Nemesis on the box so I didn’t play it myself.Then I saw Mikhail, how he lay on the seats of the cable car. I could tell he was in pain and I felt deeply sorry for him. But it wasn’t a special feeling because I felt sorry for all the characters in the game. The person who played the game even mocked Mikhail for his looks. At first I laughed along but then there came a specific cutscene.And then Mikhail said something.Just one sentence.One line of dialoge.

It may just be a line of dialoge for most people. Some tiny bit of character developement sprinkled in for good meassure.But boy.I felt that.Suddenly I felt a deeper connection. It felt like I could see myself in Mikhail. He’s been through hell. He watched his men die in front of him. He is bleeding like crazy. He is in pain. Both mentally and physically. He’s expressing survivors guilt and it’s eating him up on the inside. When he said that line I literally teared up.I felt understood.And when he sacrificed himself to save Carlos and Jill, I cried. Hard. I cried because I was touched by his bravery. I cried because he deserved to live. I cried. Because I looked up to him. Without even realizing it, he became my role model. Mikhail is a kind soul, he is brave, determined, always trying his best, righteous, proud, a real team player and a wonderful leader. He is the kind of person I’ve always wanted to be.He quickly became my favorite character. I still watch all of the cutscenes with him every now and again when I need to hear his voice. I also sometimes browse his REwiki page just because I feel like it. When playing the Mercenaries minigame I always pick him.After meeting him I decided to keep going too. I can’t stop, no matter how broken and in pain I am. These wounds can’t stop me from fighting. I’ll keep fighting because I believe that I can get better if I just keep going. Fighting those demons off. Ignoring everyone who tells me otherwise. After all, I can’t stop just because I’m wounded.Also he is probably my biggest fictional crush ever lol. It’s been almost 10 years and I still can’t forget him and I still love him as much as I did on day 1.

Ever since then Mikhail has been a sort of voice of reason. When I’m feeling lost I ask myself what he would do in my situation. When I notice I haven’t eaten all day again, I’d imagine him trying to give me a pep talk. He became a coping mechanism and comfort character. I’ve been looking up to him for almost 10 years now, which is pretty rare when you know that I have tons of favorite characters that come and go, but he has always been my favorite Resident Evil character ever since that day.

I love everything about him. His backstory is tragic and herioc. He used to be an excellent soldier in the Russian SFSR before the Soviet Union collapsed. His wife was part of a minority who he fought for, causing him to be concidered a terrorist in the Russian Federation. After getting arrested he was approached by Umbrella. He agreed to join them but only if Umbrella does everything they can to ensure amnesty for his men.This just shows how much he cares for his comerades and loved ones. Mikhail joined a guerrilla organization to fight for the independence of the minority group his wife was a part of. He joined Umbrella, not because he himself wanted to be free, but because his men would be free.

I also really really like his relationship with Jill in the game. I could perfectly imagine them as very good friends. The way they talk with each other and how Jill tries to calm Mikhail down and helps and encourages him while also perfectly understanding the state he is in and the feelings and worries that are clouding his mind. I just love it and I demand fanart and fanfiction of a cute platonic relationship between these two. They are cute and precious.I sadly can’t say a lot about his relationships between him and the other members of the Operation-Jackal-Trio.Mikhail and Nikolai don’t interact at all. Which is bullsh*t because Capcom actually wanted them to be brothers and interact. That would have been an amazing addition. I want it back. My fav AU, hands down.Carlos mentions Mikhails name a few times (and by a few I mean two times). Once when explaining what happened and once when Mikhail got attacked in the cable car. I’m a bit sad we didn’t see more of them together. Carlos is certainly worried about Mikhails safety but I really wish they had expanded on that a little. I just wanted to see more interaction in general.

Mikhail also influenced my art. My nickname/pen name is Uby Victor. The ‘Uby’ part comes from the way you say the first two letters of the UBCS. And Victor isn’t hard to guess haha. Some people call me Victor too and I love it!! :3I also own an olive green beret in addition to my UBCS uniform. It’s just a prop and I guess just something I’ve always wanted to own haha. Now I just need to find a way to get the patch.I tried drawing him a few times but I’m an idiot and get flustered when I do so I usually stop before it’s even finished. I will probably never be able to draw him well haha. At least not with that attitude.

He’s also the reason I realized I have a soft spot for Russian accents. Even though Ben Campbell isn’t Russian, his accent is okay and I like his performance.

I could probably rant even more about how much I love Mikhails personality. And his looks.

Have you seen those eyes??? That is one awesome dark shade of blue. Unrealistic I know but damn. I love them. And his golden hair. I wanna run my hand through it. And those arms. Mmmh. He could throw me across a football field with those and I’d say “Thanks, daddy, please do it again!”. He looks like he gives great hugs too. He’s like a big teddy bear, hence why I call him Mischka all the time haha. Also he is top notch soft daddy material. I’m not the only one with this opinion. Also his crotch. The bulge is big. Just take my word for it. Or take a look for yourself. His full body picture is at the top of this post. You have been warned.

All of this is also why I do not like his R3MAKE version at all. The original RE3: Nemesis Mikhail means so so so much to me. I associate him with recovery. I look up to him and I basically owe him my life. So seeing him be changed that drastically in the R3MAKE just broke my heart. I will stick with the original because that’s the one I like the most.

My Fav Books, another chaotic list

Another quarantine review fest! I know I ranked my top anime but this is seriously too hard so I’m just going to list them to avoid hours of debate. Enjoy!

1) The Skulduggery Pleasant series

This whopper of a series (now at 15 books jesus christ I didn’t know there were that many I’ve only read about twelve) has a special place in my heart. I was FULLY obsessed with it throughout my tween - and teen - years, and for a reason. This shit just butters my bread like nothing else. The story follows a young girl Valkyrie Cain (who eventually becomes a young woman through the series) and her partner in crime, a fashionable living skeleton called Skulduggery Pleasant. They’re MAGICAL DETECTIVES!!!! Bitch!!! They use elemental magic - water, earth, fire, air - to fight off magic-wielding bad guys and look good doing it. The duo is hilarious and seriously shaped my sense of humour, the dry wit and comedic writing style stuck with me and influenced my own writing style to this day! As the series progresses we get a massive cast of characters but to me they’re all memorable, likable (mostly) and well-developed so that’s not an issue. I have no fukcing clue how Derek Landy comes up with his stories because every book in the series has an absolutely wild (yet unique) plot with its own twists and turns. It gets REALLY dark and depressing at times, gory, brutal etc etc especially in the later books I have no idea why this is labeled as a kids series.

10/10 for badassery, humour, and MAD codependency issues

2) The Feverwake series

This bitch is one hell of a YA series. It’s actually only a 2 book-series which is rare, but that’s not the only thing that sets it apart from other creations of its genre. It’s hard to explain the setup without waffling so I’ll just quote the blurb of the first book: “In the former United States, sixteen-year-old Noam Álvaro wakes up in a hospital bed, the sole survivor of the viral magic that killed his family and made him a technopath. His ability to control technology attracts the attention of the minister of defense and thrusts him into the magical elite of the nation of Carolinia.

The son of undocumented immigrants, Noam has spent his life fighting for the rights of refugees fleeing magical outbreaks—refugees Carolinia routinely deports with vicious efficiency. Sensing a way to make change, Noam accepts the minister’s offer to teach him the science behind his magic, secretly planning to use it against the government. But then he meets the minister’s son—cruel, dangerous, and achingly beautiful—and the way forward becomes less clear.”

As you can tell from this, the series is heavy on its politics but in a grounded, realistic and relevant way which is different to many other YA series. Marxist theory is brought up, and you can make some pretty strong links between the books and real events. The magic also has a semi-scientific explanation which is cool and adds to the realness. Anyways this series is action packed and full of twists, plus there’s a bisexual main character and queer romance at the core!! Wig!!! Very good for moral debate - how far is it acceptable to go to protect the oppressed before you become one of the oppressors? Dark and exciting series.

10/10 queer representation and political themes.

3) Spin the Dawn

It’s probably obvious that I’m biased towards YA books but they’re just so exciting and cool! Anyways this is about a girl living in a kind of alternate universe ancient China where magic exists. Maia Tamarin is a skilled seamstress who dreams of being the Imperial Tailor, a position that can only be held by a man. She poses as her brother to go to the royal palace and enter a competition full of skilled tailors, all vying for the role of imperial tailor. She also meets Edan; a mysterious, annoying, but SEXY mage who seems to know her secret identity? Oho? IMO this would be an elevated book if Edan had been a girl but that’s just me being gay. As the final challenge Maia is tasked with making 3 dresses from the sun, moon, and stars - a mission that takes her to the ends of the world in search of these magical materials (obvs Edan goes with her and they kiss kiss fall in love). It’s a fairly classic YA plot and characters but the combination of Project Runway, Mulan, and kind of Lord of the Rings(??) vibes makes for a very entertaining read. It’s also really fun to imagine what the clothes look like, plus the romance between Maia and Edan is very cute. Second book is yet to be published but sounds lit.

10/10 magic fashion and romance (despite its heterosexuality)

4) Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe

Usually I steer clear of angsty gay stories because I’ve consumed too much of the depressing narrative which is all about suffering because of being gay, but fuuuuuuck this book is like the definition of bittersweet. Mostly bitter to be fair but it has a happy ending which was lovely after the emotional torment of the book. It’s about two teen boys - Aristotle is angry and repressed, Dante is eccentric but kind, and the two eventually form a strong friendship after meeting at the local pool. It’s kind of obvious that Ari is in denial about a few things, which leads to some real sad boi hours. There’s also a devastating moment around halfway (not sure) through with a car accident which makes the whole thing 10x heavier. Despite all this, the book has its sweet moments - parents play a big role, but not in the way they usually do in queer stories - and like I said the ending is the bandage for your broken heart. I’m not sure what it is about the writing style, maybe the way it just cuts between scenes randomly or perhaps the way the dialogue and actions are so realistic, but it’s so different to any other book I’ve read that it’s stayed in my mind for a while after reading it.

10/10 really good philosophy plus supportive parents

5) The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue

Okay if this was a ranked list, this bad boy would be on its way to the top spot. It’s got everything: historical setting, gays, pirates, alchemy, humour, adventure, angst, character development, and some healthy second-hand embarrassment. It’s not complicated or philosophical but reading this book all in one go is like taking five shots and diving into a pool. It’s exciting and witty, but deals with darker themes like child abuse too. One of the MCs also has a disability and doesn’t treat it as something to be cured, which is a lesson our protagonist has to learn. Speaking of protagonists, Henry ‘Monty’ Montague is a great main character. He’s obnoxious, oblivious, and hedonistic yet quick-witted and passionate, and he has a good heart. Sometimes you just want to grab him by the shoulders and shake him for being such an ignorant idiot, but throughout the book he grows and learns to open his mind more (as well as becoming more humble). He’s a great example of a flawed yet likable main character. He is also a bisexual icon.

Oof forgot to even talk about the story. Monty embarks on a tour of Europe, usually taken by lads his age to get all cultured before they settle down and inherit the family company or whatever. With him are his younger sister Felicity, a girl with a brilliant mind for science who isn’t taken seriously by anyone because of her gender, and the lovely Percy, Monty’s lifelong best friend (and crush). Monty ends up stealing a very valuable object that turns the Tour into a manhunt across Europe, and drags the trio into a big ol’ conspiracy involving something that may or may not be the philosopher’s stone????

Issues of race, gender, and disability in historical context are really well done, and it’s an absolute banger of a book.

10/10 very exciting adventure, plus GREAT GAY ROMANCE

6) Heaven Official’s Blessing

HOOOOOO BOY. This is probably my absolute fave on this list. It’s a webnovel (originally Chinese but the full translation is online). Set in ancient china in the cultivation world (difficult as shit to explain if ur not into all of that but I’ll try), basically there’s three realms - the heavenly realm, the human/mortal realm, and the ghostly realm. If a mortal reaches a certain point (good deeds, power etc), they ascend to become a god - or if they fall far enough, they become a ghost.

I’ll just quote the author’s description again cause I don’t have the brain cells required:

“Eight hundred years ago, Xie Lian was the Crown Prince of the Xian Le kingdom. He was loved by his citizens and was considered the darling of the world. He ascended to the Heavens at a young age; however, due to unfortunate circumstances, was quickly banished back to the mortal realm. Years later, he ascends again–only to be banished again a few minutes after his ascension. Now, eight hundred years later, Xie Lian ascends to the Heavens for the third time as the laughing stock among all three realms. On his first task as a god thrice ascended, he meets a mysterious demon who rules the ghosts and terrifies the Heavens, yet, unbeknownst to Xie Lian, this demon king has been paying attention to him for a very, very long time.”

It’s hard to describe the enormity of this story and all the emotions it encapsulates, you really have to read it for yourself. But bitch the undying, pure, Hozier-devotion-level LOVE is by far my favourite part of this story. If you’re looking for an epic, god-tier gay romance, then this is it baby!! This story has comedy, action, and downright harrowingly depressing moments, but throughout is this achingly beautiful love between fallen god and last believer.

I don’t wanna give too much away cause there are some big ol’ plot reveals, but oooh this shit made me cry. The protagonist is MY FAVOURITE EVER I didn’t think it was possible to like a protag so much!! He’s legit my fave character! At first he seems oblivious and carefree but he’s just doing his goddamn best after all he’s been through and he’s so fukcing kind and just wants to help everyone for fuckcs sake excuse me I need to go have a breakdown.

Okay I’m back, anyway there’s a great cast of characters, even the background characters are all incredibly memorable and all given their time to shine and develop. My faves include Quan Yizhen, a rowdy himbo who just wants to fight, and Shi Qing Xuan, a friendly genderfluid god who controls the wind. Read this shit I’m not joking it’ll change your life.

10/10 for everything

1) percy jackson/annabeth chase (percy jackson and the olympians) do i even have to explain myself? every single scene with these two, god. they INVENTED slow burn romance. they were SO in love and i shipped them before i even knew what shipping was. forever favs.

2) dick grayson/wally west (all dc media types). GOD. the most iconic best friends to lovers ship of all time. honestly i got into them first through young justice but guys like...the two of them in the comics...they’re so freaking in love...i’m soft

3) adrien agreste/marinette dupain-cheng (miraculous ladybug) because like. how can you not. these two are such adorable, oblivious idiots. i love them. so much.

4) keith kogane/lance mcclain (voltron: legendary defender) and agdkdhskdj. they had amazing development and so much potential and i am such a hoe for enemies to lovers omg.

and finally 5) roy harper/jason todd/koriand’r (red hood and the outlaws). rhato was one of my favorite comic runs ever and honestly it was entirely because this trio was so good together. there was such a strong bond and they really were ride or die, peak.

1) arc/ciara (knight squad) because godDAMN tiara thief had SO MUCH POTENTIAL. the teasing? the ep where they were chained together? the “sacrificing something you really want to help the other person”?? the keeping each other’s secret?? god tier!

2) sonny munroe/chad dylan cooper (sonny with a chance) and hhh i don’t have TIME to talk about them as much as i want to but okay they had such good development and chemistry like...GOD when they did their “fine! fine! good! good!” thing i lost it. honestly unparalleled.

3) mack/brady (teen beach movie) honestly like...these two were so cute together. maybe it’s just that my bi ass is sold for maia mitchell and ross lynch but like...they genuinely cared about each other so much...they pushed each other out of their comfort zones and encouraged each other...even when they were fighting they worked as a strong team...i love them.

4) henry hart/charlotte page-bolton (henry danger) and there are so many reasons but like. best friends to lovers. her pushing him to be better. him making her laugh. the two of them growing up and growing old together. i am! soft!

5) troy bolton/gabriella montez (high school musical) and i don’t need to justify myself because! classic! every number they did together! peak!
