Being Team Japan’s Manager:
The Team Crushes on Their Manager
Tumblr media
Team Japan x GN! reader
Warnings: fluff, swearing
AN: this was due approx. 570 of you ago but nevertheless, here we go 🎉
Where do I even start?
Probably from the beginning because that’s when it ALL started
It was your first day as Team Japan’s new manager
No other job prospects huh Yn?
You were filled with hope and a renewed sense of purpose 🤩
You’d always loved Volleyball whether you played it, watched it or read a very specific manga surrounding it 👀
It was safe to say you were a fan!
The job seemed relatively straightforward
You’d come to work, take care of a bunch of world class athletes, clock out and repeat
Easy right?
Sure….
You walked into the building on your first day and it started almost immediately
There is no easing into this job YN 😌
“Well hello there gorgeous,” a very untoned blonde who seriously needed his roots retouched whistled
“Umm hi! I was wondering if you could-” you started to say before being unfortunately interrupted 🙄
“You want my autograph don’t ya sweetheart?” The blonde smirked, conveniently pulling out a sharpie that seemed to manifest from thin air
“Oh no, I’m looking for-” you try to say again before again being interrupted
“ATSUMU!” A voice shouted as you saw a rather angry looking man with black spiky hair marching up to you and the blonde, “what did I tell you about harassing guests?”
“I wasn’t harassing ‘em!” The blonde, known as Atsumu shouted back
Meanwhile you are just standing there like 🧍
“If you weren’t harassing them, then why do they look like they wanna run for their lives?” Another tall man with curly black hair replied, approaching from behind you
“SHUT YER TRAP SAKUSA!” Atsumu yelled again as the spiky haired man spoke
“If you both don’t get your asses back into that gym right now!”
Atsumu rolled his eyes before responding, “yes Iwaizumi” and turning to leave
But not before shooting a very unsolicited wink in your direction 🙄
“Stop making people feel so uncomfortable,” Sakusa berated as he and Atsumu argued back to the gym
“I’m so sorry about that. You must be Yn?” Iwaizumi asked turning to you as you smiled back widely
“That’s me!” You giggled as Iwaizumi’s eyes widened and his face turned pink at your sheer adorableness
Iwaizumi is just happy that you seem excited
He’s tired Yn, help him please
Iwaizumi begins showing you around the gym while various, rather large men walk past you
You excitedly ask questions, smiling and laughing
The guys are all like 👀👀👀👀👀
They’d heard about a new prospective manager starting but dang, you were way cuter than they imagined
After the tour you made your way to the gym with Iwaizumi to finally meet the team
As you stood there, adorable and bubbly, they all just stared at you like a bunch of creeps 😅
You remember in Season 2 when Yachi joined Karasuno and Suga had to tell Noya and Tanaka to stop staring…
Yeah that’s exactly what’s happening right now 😂
Iwaizumi is giving everyone his death glare because there is absolutely no way he’s letting anyone ruin this for him!
Iwa rn 👉🏻 🔥 👄🔥
Of course you notice them all looking at you but you simply think it’s because you are new
Delusion is always the solution Yn
“And finally, this is Yn, our new manager. I expect nothing but respect and kindness from you guys!” Coach yells as you smile and wave a greeting
“I’m so excited to work with you all!” You say, smiling bright as your eyes sparkle with excitement
This was the first of many incidents that sealed your fate
Now some of the team members fell hard for you immediately
*cough* ATSUMU, BOKUTO, HINATA *cough*
While others took a while to warm up to you
They all thought you were cute and sweet sure but it was your actions that spoke the loudest
For example…
“Hey Sakusa, I heard you are particular about laundry and hygiene, if you could please tell me the products you prefer so I can accommodate you? Oh and I’d you’d like, I can wear a mask around you to make you more comfortable!” You excitedly spoke, standing 6 feet apart from Sakusa so as to not be right in his space
Sakusa rn 👉🏻👁️👄👁️
“Umm sure I can text you a list and you don’t have to wear a mask if you aren’t comfortable,” he responds, honestly shocked because who are you
You wave your hands and smile, “oh no it’s really ok! I’m very accommodating!”
It was safe to say you’d captured our precious Sakusa’s attention
But it doesn’t stop there
“Hey Suna, I noticed you left your arm guards in on the bench yesterday! I washed them for you last night oh and I recorded a video of Atsumu flubbing a serve and accidently hitting Kageyama. I can send it to you if you’d like?” You laughed as Suna just stared in awe
Who the heck were you and why were you so amazing!
Not only that but you provided help to Aran and Ushijima when it came to taking diligent notes about the teams progress
Made sure Kageyama had plenty to eat and got enough sleep
You measured down to the very millimeter for jump heights, making sure Hoshiumi knew exactly where he stood against the other players
You stayed late to help Komori and Yaku with their receiving practice
You came early to unlock the gym for Atsumu, Bokuto and Hinata because lord knows they can’t be out of the gym for more than 8 hours 🙄
You even made sure the guys all followed Iwaizumi’s strict training regime to ensure they all stayed healthy and in the best shape!
It was easy to see why they all had fallen for you!
Competent, pretty, kind, amazing and funny? A perfect combination!
It had been about 6 months and you’d more than proven your worth as a manager
You’d even spent time outside of practice with all of them both individually as well as in groups
Surprisingly they’d all managed to keep their little crushes on you to a minimum
They respected you and didn’t want to mess up anything
When I say “they” I actually mean “most of them”…
Because, ya know, some people just can’t stop themselves 👀
It was safe to say they all knew each other had a crush on their precious manager
But for the sake of teamwork, most of them kept it to themselves
However, there is some people who can only hold it in so long
“I’m thinking about asking YN out this weekend,” Atsumu boldly and nonchalantly says
And just like that, the entire locker room halts
“Excuse me?” Yaku says, staring at Atsumu like he’s about to commit a felony
“What? YN is such a cutie and so awesome! Is it really a surprise that I’d ask them out?” Atsumu replies
All eyes narrow on the setter as he looks back confused
“And what makes you think YN even likes you?” Suna jokes as the rest of the team nods
“Awe come on! It’s pretty safe to say Yn has a crush on me, look at all the stuff they do for me,” Atsumu continues
“So? YN does that for all of us. Plus, maybe another one of us wants to ask them out?” Sakusa adds as Atsumu narrows his eyes
“Ok then, who wants to ask YN out?”
Literally all hands shoot up as the guys look around at each other, eyes wide as the realization sinks in
Soon the shock wears off and they narrow their eyes at each other like a duel in the Ok corral is about to go down 😑
“Well there’s no way all of us asking out YN would be a good idea. We’d probably scare them away!” Komori mentioned
“Nah, if Atsumu hasn’t scared them yet, pretty sure we’re safe,” Aran remarked as Atsumu looked at his friend, offended by his remarks
“What if we draw lots?” Hyakuzawa questioned
“That’s not really far to YN tho, what if they have a particular interest in a member?” Yaku answered
“First one to ask Yn out then?” Hakuba remarked
“Oh yeah, just a bunch of grown ass men running up to YN screaming ‘YN GO OUT WITH ME!’ That sounds like nightmare fuel!” Hoshiumi replied
“Ok so then we let Yn decide,” Iwa added, coming through the doors having just listened to the conversation, “we do our best to win YN’s affections and we let them decide.”
The team all nodded in agreement, ready for the challenge of winning their precious YN’s heart
The next morning, the gym felt different
You could tell immediately the moment you stepped in
“Good morning YN, I bought you coffee!” Iwaizumi smiled, handing you a cup of your favorite pick me up
“Thanks Hajime! I really needed this!”
“Hey Yn, I thought maybe you’d wanna have lunch with me today? My treat,” Yaku interrupted
“That would be awesome Mori!”
“Here Yn, I know how much you love these flowers so I got up early to go to the market to get some,” Sakusa flushed, pushing the flowers in your direction
“Wow thanks Kiyoomi! They are beautiful!”
Were these boys being weird? Sure
Were you gonna fight it? Absolutely not
Now these shenanigans continued for a few weeks and at first they were innocent
But then bringing you coffee, flowers or the occasional chocolate morphed into full blown outings
“Hey YN, I’m going to the art museum this weekend? You wanna come?” Komori asked as your eyes lit up
You loved art!!
“Hey YN, I’m gonna grab sushi tonight after practice, you wanna come?” Gao would ask as your mouth salivated
You loved sushi!
“Hey YN, I’m planning on going to the dog park with Hirugami tonight, you wanna come?” Hoshiumi would ask
Dogs? Say less!
“Hey YN, there’s a new cat cafe that just opened up, you wanna go with me?” Suna would declare
Cats? ABSOLUTELY
It took you a while to catch on that there was something strange going on with these guys
While the putting seemed innocent, their motives definitely were not
After a while, you’d finally gotten sick of it all and just asked
It was after practice, the gym was quiet
And there you were
“What is up with you guys taking me on all these dates for?”
… there to ruin it
Their amount of wide-eyed staring and red faces gave them away quicker than a smoking volcano
You sighed, knowing you had to tell them the truth
“Listen guys, I like you all but only as friends and coworkers ok?”
They all collectively sighed, having all been rejected at the same time
You felt bad but at the same time, they needed to know your feelings for them were platonic
“Hey we can still go out and have fun but it’ll only be as friends ok? Plus I have a boyfriend already.”
Their eyes all shot up at you, wondering who exactly it would be
“Wait you had a boyfriend this whole time?” Atsumu questioned
Yep :D
“Like before you even started working with us?” Yaku asked
Yep : D
“Ok then how come we’ve never met him before?” Sakusa demanded as you smiled
“Oh you have, he talks about you guys all the time!” You respond as everyone but Iwaizumi looks confused
“YN you’re not dating him, please YN anyone but him!” Iwa shouts, running up to you and shaking you as your grin devilishly
It seems to finally hit the others as their eyes go from shocked to horrified in a matter of seconds.
Before they can even process his name, they hear a “yoohoo Yn-Chan” radiate throughout the gym
Surprise an Oikawa ending 😅 if you didn’t see it coming, do you even know who I am? I will always work that man into everything possible!

When you deny them a kiss <3 ft. Tsukki, Kyotani, Komori, and Semi
CW: Tsukki and Kyotani are a lil bit aggressive but it’s the loving kind so dw 😌 (implied fem reader)
Tumblr media
Tsukishima Kei
“Kei! I’m going shopping with friends!” You yell slipping your shoes on to leave. Your boyfriend shows up out of nowhere.
“When will you be back?” He practically whines and it makes you giggle. His footsteps are quiet as he walks up to hug you. “It won’t be that long maybe two hours?”
He pouts at that. (UGH I LOVE CLINGY TSUKKI)
“Okay… don’t be gone too long.” He goes to kiss your forehead and you lean back. Simply just because you wanted to see how he’d react.
He frowns, why didn’t you let him give you a goodbye kiss?
“If I don’t get to kiss you then you won’t go.” He hoists you up and you wrap your legs around his waist so you don’t fall.
“Kei! It was a joke! I just wanted to see how you’d react.” You quickly peck his lips and he decides it isn’t enough. He grabs your face (gently) and pulls you into a deep kiss.
Once you two are out of breath you break the kiss and he smiles at you all hazy, “‘kay now you can go.”
“You are so needy.” You roll your eyes playful at him.
——————
Kyotani Kentaro:
He sat at the table with you reading the monthly volleyball magazine. You were finishing up some work on your laptop that has been weighing you down for awhile. Kyotani lets out a grunt and your eyebrow quirks. "What's up with you?"
He grunts again like he's upset you don't already know why he's upset. "You haven't given me a kiss at all within the last 24 hours." He explains with complaint laced in his voice. You shut your laptop and walk toward your kitchen to get a snack.
"I'm trying to finish my paper, Ken. I've waited too long to do it and it's due tomorrow." The fridge air chills your skin causing goosebumps to form. Your eyes scan the fridge wondering what you should get for a snack. "Should I make those Pillsbury cinnamon rolls or just eat the mac n cheese I made yesterday?" You ask him and you're met by silence. He must be pissed if he's not answering. "You want hamima chicken?" You ask trying to lure him into your trap. "Not falling for it. I want a kiss." He argues.
A sigh escapes your lips, because you know if you end up kissing him it could turn into more and you need your focus to finish this paper. "When I'm done with my paper we can kiss all you want." Usually your persuasion would work but Kyotani seemed to not be falling for it.
The oak chair legs squeak on the floor when Kyotani gets up from the chair. He stomps over to you, spins you around, and plants his lips onto yours, hard. His tongue swipes your bottom lip and you open your mouth to let him in.
You had to push him away when his hands started wandering down to your waist. "Later... I promise." You assure him and he smirks at you. "You better keep that promise." Your boyfriend squeezes you in a hug and you squeeze back.
"Love you, Ken." The soft confession slips from your lips. His face is buried in your neck and he mumbles, "Love you too, beautiful."
——————
Komori Motoya:
His head was in your lap because the two of you were watching a movie together like you always did on Friday evenings. The little shit known as your boyfriend lifted his head to look at you, there was that mischievous smile on his face.
"I did some research on how to french." he wiggles his eyebrows and you let out a soft chuckle.
"'Toya that's so random." you mention softly, the movie continued and you want to pause it because this was the movie you've waited months to see.
"Is not! The couple in the movie just kissed." He reasons and you remind him that they aren't even together yet. This seemed like your way of denying him a kiss, but he wasn't giving up just yet. This is the same man that intially tried to get the Sakusa Kiyoomi to date someone and after years of trying his efforts paid off.
"C'mon please? We haven't even kissed with tongue yet." he begs and you are relentless tonight.
"What about that time after prom when we were drunk because someone spiked the punch?" you ask without taking your eyes off the tv. You and Komori have been an icon for quite some time now. Kiyoomi kept telling him to break up w you because an athlete/college student relationship wouldn't work out.
You two stayed strong even in times of trouble. And here you guys are today, its not always rainbows and butterflies but it works. It gets hard when Komori isn't around to comfort you.
"That does not count as a real kiss with tongue, neither of us knew what the hell we were doing." He huffs and you smile.
"You can french me when the movie's over, I've really been looking forward to this one." Your words seem to be suffice because his head finds your lap again and you unconsciously massage his scalp.
As soon as the credits roll he's on top of you and the smirk that lands on your face makes him wanna kiss it off.
"You're so pretty, honey bun." he says.
"Just kiss me already." You don't have to tell him twice. His lips ghost over yours and he leans in so your lips meet. He always thought it was cute how your lips were slightly chapped. (can we normalize/romanticize chapped lips or is that a no no 😭)
His tongue slipped into your mouth and you happily obliged opening your mouth for him. The kiss lasted a little longer than you expected the only reason you pulled away was to breath.
"I'll always get what i want, be it a kiss or the pretty girl in front of me." he says confidently.
You smirk and shake your head, "you are such a little brat sometimes."
"Your little brat," he adds.
——————
Semi Eita:
"Mhm, that works.. uh-huh thank you so much. Okay, take care." Semi hung up the phone and turned to you where you were playing on the ps4.
"I'm done with work for today, do you wanna watch a movie?" He asks standing up from his desk and taking a few seconds to stretch. It's surprising his legs aren't cramping due to sitting for so long.
"Yeah, let me finish this up real quick." He smiles at how concentrated you look playing the game.
"Alright, I'll go get movie snacks," he informs and moves to give you a quick kiss on the cheek. You lean away from his inviting presence. "Not right now, Eita. I'm really close to beating this level."
Instead of voicing his opinion on the matter he walked out. Guilt pooled at your stomach as he walked out of your shared office room.
Once your level was finished you made sure to put everything back in its place and turn off everything.
You'd been waiting all day to embrace your boyfriend which made the anticipation even higher. Upon reaching the living room you see your boyfriend cuddling and kissing your puppy on her head.
He noticed you, "since my girlfriend won't kiss me, I have to give kisses to the best girl in the whole world."
Your puppy seemed to understand him in some type of way and she wagged her little tail.
"Eita, you've been denying me kisses all day, it was a taste of your own medicine!" You explain walking over to give him a quick peck.
"I want more than a little peck." A smirk grows on his face.
His lips capture yours and you feel the same spark you felt during your first kiss. His hands start to roam but not for long because your little girl starts barking and trying to tear you guys apart.
"Jealous, much?" Semi asks the puppy which makes you giggle.

You're an Inarizaki graduate in a relationship with the SAKUSA KIYOOMI. You were close with the Miya bros, especially Atsumu, and friends with the entire Inarizaki volleyball club. You already had a longtime crush on Sakusa when you watched the practice match between Inarizaki and Itachiyama. You were forever grateful that Atsumu forced you to watch game because you wouldn't be able to have seen Sakusa.
You're working as PR in the MSBY Black Jackals and got reunited with Atsumu (unfortunately). He knows your big fat crush on Sakusa and tries to be your wingman. His plan? He gets you drunk in a party and forces you in a room alone with Sakusa. He claimed it would give you the enough courage to confess.
You confessed but you couldn't remember what Sakusa's reaction was. It ended up with Sakusa taking you to his place because you're incredibly drunk and unable to get home on your own. You woke up to the worst hungover since college and a shirtless Sakusa making breakfast calling you 'darling'.
The rest is history. You and Sakusa have been together for more than two years. Although you two seemed like the ideal couple, there has been frequent verbal fights lately. It mostly had something to do with conflicting schedules and a lot of dates cancelled. Sakusa was a busy athlete and your job as the PR didn't mix well with his hectic schedule.
"This is the fifth time that I have to cancel reservation, Omi!"
"Then just stop making reservations! You know how busy I am so don't get mad that I couldn't make up to our date!"
"You could've at least made an effort to! Or say sorry!"
"We've gone through this over and over again [Name] and I'm getting sick of it"
"So, what? You're sick of me?"
"Maybe I am!"
This argument was different from the previous. You were left stunned as Sakusa breathlessly glared at you, shattering your heart into smithereens. Immediately, your eyes felt wet as you turned around, grabbed your keys, phone, and wallet and stormed out of the apartment. You completely missed the sheer regret that erupted on Sakusa's face.
You called up Atsumu and asked to meet up at Onigiri Miya. When you arrived there and saw the blonde setter, you quickly went in for a hug and sobbed your poor heart out. Atsumu knew you had another fight with your boyfriend since you've been telling him about it for the past few days. It seemed like today, a line was crossed.
Sakusa tried reaching your phone but you have put your phone in airplane mode. Osamu kindly made you your favorite onigiri as you told them about the fight. Of course, the twins took over your side because they've known you for a very long time. You stayed over at Osamu's and had a sleepover with the Miya twins.
The next day, Sakusa was driving all the way to Osamu's place. He has found your whereabouts through his cousin Komori who he got from his teammate, Suna Rintaro. He sucked in a breath and knocked on the door. What he was not expecting was a very serious-faced Atsumu Miya answering the door.
"The hell are ya doin' here?"
"I need to pick up my girlfriend"
"She doesn't wanna be with ya right now"
"That's none of your business, Miya"
Atsumu gives Sakusa a humorless laugh and gives him the most intimidating glare that Sakusa has ever seen from him. Usually, the blonde setter is all smirks and smiles but seeing this death glare from him actually made Sakusa physically shiver.
"Ya made her cry all the way over here sayin' that yer sick of her! Do ya have any idea of the amount of effort she puts in scheduling a dinner fer the both of ya 'cuz she misses ya so much?"
Sakusa was officially speechless as he gulped. He rigidly stands there and gets his well-deserved scolding from Atsumu Miya of all people.
"[Name] means a lot to me 'cuz she's like a sister so if I ever catch her cry 'cuz of you again, I will personally beat yer ass then skin ya alive and give ya some bonus ass whoopin' from Osamu and the entire Inarizaki alumni"
Atsumu warned him. And Sakusa makes sure to keep that in mind. The blonde sighs and finally takes a step aside from the door.
"Go apologize to her and make up, Omi-kun"
Sakusa doesn't need to be told twice as he rushed inside the apartment, not bothering to take off his shoes and pounced at you in the kitchen. You just woke up but you were pleasantly surprised with your boyfriend profusely apologizing to you.
Osamu places a hand on his hip and looked at his twin. Atsumu was smiling as if he didn't just threatened Sakusa earlier.
"What did ya tell him?"
"Oh nothing, just gave him a little warnin' that's all"
Osamu knows Atsumu is a lying piece of shit.

Coming over to his work to bring him something he forgot at home.
„You forgot this!“ You give him your brightest smile but since you have to be at work as well, you leave as quickly as you came to his work place.
His coworkers/teammates all stare with big eyes after your retreating figure, wondering how their coworker/teammate was able to know such a beautiful person as yourself.
„Omg they are so beautiful. Are they going to work with us soon?? How do you know them?!“ Questions like those are being thrown around.
Your significant other just gives them a smirk and proudly says:
„That‘s my significant other. Keyword is mine.“

TODDLER!HAIKYUU BOYS that will be possesive over their favorite daycare caregiver.
His favorite game was when you pretended to be a princess and he was the brave and charming knight that saved you.
For his 3 year old brain, you were the prettiest girl he'd ever seen, you always made sure his milk was warm and that he had his favorite stuffed animal whenever he took a nap.
Every time he saw you with another child on your arms, he felt the absolute betrayal. Why would you take care of another kid that wasn't him!?
"No!" he whined as he hold onto your leg while you had in your arms a sleeping little boy "y/n mine!" he puffed out his cheeks as he intensely pulled your shirt trying to catch your attention back to him.
You found him adorable, but every day it was more difficult to keep him from pushing the other kids that got close to you, and you were sure his mommy didn't like you because he seemed to like you more than her; and it was always a problem when she came to pick him up, because he never wanted to leave their place in your arms.

Friend of a friend
word count; 2535 – gn!reader, very suggestive at the end, manga spoilers
Tumblr media
Back in high school, you went to Inarizaki and chose to be a manager for the volleyball club in your second and third years. It was incredibly fun and you might have cried when they won nationals in their last spring tournament before your class graduated.
Even after graduating and going your different ways, you stayed friends with Suna and the twins, as well as some of the other players. Unfortunately, you spoke much less frequently with the others.
Being friends with those three means gossip sessions, which is why you were lying on your bed with your computer open on a video call with the guys, updating each other on the latest gossip.
“How’s the new team, Rin?” Osamu asked, making Atsumu squint with a cocky smirk as he probably immediately started comparing it to his team. Suna shrugged his shoulders.
“It’s cool. That Komori guy is nice, I never really talked to him in high school,” he said, mentioning him because Atsumu had told you guys all about the players in the All-Japan group back in your second year. And of course, everyone knew about the best high school libero of the monster generation. You let out the tiniest gasp, covering your mouth when the twins started cackling while Suna looked confused. “What?”
“We never told you?” Osamu asked Suna in particular while you were making wild gestures for him to shut up. “Y/n has had the biggest crush on Komori since our second year at Inarizaki.”
Oh, the horror. Suna’s face lit up in a way it rarely did, suddenly armed with precious information to be used against you. “Are you serious?”
“It was a high school crush, get over it!” you yelled as if the blush on your cheeks was not giving you away.
“You were practically drooling.” Atsumu accused you and if you could punch him through the screen, you would.
“Miya, I swear to god-” but Atsumu knew you couldn’t reach him, so he smirked and kept that big mouth talking.
“When we were at nationals that year, the two of us went off to go watch Itachiyama.” he started, but you interrupted him.
“Because Tsumu wanted to stare at Sakusa,” you mumbled, already giving up on making him withhold any information.
“I was scoping out the competition! Anyways, one look at Komori was all it took before I was punched way too hard in my shoulder and forced to give up any information I had,” he explained, making it as dramatic as he could for Atsumu-purposes and clutching his upper arm as if he could still feel it.
“Reeeally?” Suna cooed. “From what I can tell, he’s single.”
Osamu had his mic off as he was in the kitchen making food, leaving you to the two worst ones. “This is why ‘Samu is my favourite,” you mumbled. He gave the camera a thumbs up and a wink, still leaving you to your own defences.
“Is he the one getting you a date with your lifelong crush?” Suna asked rhetorically, phone whipped out in the corner of his screen making your face go pale.
“No, but neither are you!” you yelled, hoping it was somewhat threatening, but it sounded more desperate. “And who said lifelong? I hate you.”
“Fine, suit yourself.” he finally said, but the way he was side-eyeing the screen while Atsumu smirked told you this was not over yet.
Tumblr media
Fortunately, weeks went by without you hearing anything else about any supposed date. Komori did come up in conversation now and then, which you appreciated when it wasn’t just so they could tease you. You could feel the crush blossoming again every time Suna told you about their adventures in volleyball and it felt somewhat nostalgic.
Should you give in and ask Suna for his number?
This is what you were wondering as you walked through the city, barely dodging bikes that tried to run over you while you daydreamed. The better option is probably giving in, but you preferred admiring him from far (far) away rather than facing the possible rejection. You pushed the door to the cafe where you’re meeting Suna, before huffing as you realised it said pull. Good start to the day for sure. When you finally got inside, you were muttering under your breath as your friend’s laughter rang in your ears.
“Shut up!” you barked at him before sitting down. He already ordered two hot chocolates when you said you were on your way.
“What’s got you so scatterbrained?” he asked, leaning his arms on the table.
You glared at him over your hands, which you were leaning on. “How to secretly perform a lobotomy on my enemy while he’s sleeping,” you answered, but your ears still burned red knowing what was actually on your mind.
“So you weren’t thinking about a certain teammate of mine?” Suna asked, wiggling his eyebrows. However, he looked genuinely surprised when you just leaned back down on your hands, not denying it. “Wait, you were?”
“Why am I friends with you?” you whine, finally sitting up to sip your hot chocolate in hopes that it would fix all your problems.
Suna smirked, hearing the bell ring over the door of the cafe. “I can think of a few reasons,” he said quickly before lifting his hand in greeting, making you whip your head in the direction of the entrance. To your horror, there stood none other than Komori Motoya. “Motoya!”
The libero smiled kindly, making your heart skip a beat as he walked over to you two. “Sunarin! What’s up?” he asked.
“Just catching up with this lovely person,” he said, throwing you a devilish grin. Komori turned to you, bowing lightly to greet you as well.
“Right, Suna told me about you. Komori Motoya.”
“Hi,” you said, feeling shy as you told him your name as well. As if you didn’t already know his name. “It’s nice to finally meet you.”
Thankfully, he didn’t seem to think too much about how you said finally. “And you.” With that, Komori smiled and excused himself to order his coffee. This gave you some time to soundlessly curse at Suna, until you had to plaster a smile back on your face when he came back over, sitting down for a moment while waiting for his name to be called. “You were friends from high school, right?”
“Yes.” You glanced at Suna for help, words stuck in your throat. “I was a manager for the volleyball team.”
Komori made a sound of realisation like he finally put two and two together. “I thought I knew your face from somewhere!” he said, memories flooding back of the game in their last year of high school where they faced off against Inarizaki. “The pretty manager who got scolded by the referee for being too loud.”
You laughed at the memory, looking at Suna to see if he remembered as well and somehow managing to overlook that he called you pretty. “That’s the one,” Suna said, confirming that he did.
“You beat us in the semifinal,” Komori added. “Rin said you saw another one of our games at nationals once.”
“Not just once,” you chuckled before realising what you said and shutting up immediately. Both of the boys chuckled as well, one to ease your embarrassment and one to embarrass you more.
“Komori!” the barista yelled, relieving you at the perfect time. The man stood up and got his drink before coming back over but not sitting down. “I’ve got to go, but let’s meet again sometime, yeah?” he asked, directing the last half at you more than his teammate.
“Yeah,” you agreed, putting as much effort as you could into giving him your best smile. He bowed quickly before turning on his heel and leaving with a final goodbye.
Your eyes went straight to your friend, squinting. The second the cafe door closed, he burst out laughing, trying to not be loud and disturb others. “Not just once!” he mocked, making you bury your face in your hands. “You’re so hopeless at this.”
Tumblr media
Let’s just say Suna told the twins how that went over your next video call, so now you’re watching them laugh at you as well, begging any existing god for it to stop and to just bury you already. After a few minutes, the laughing and teasing cooled off. “Well, now it’s my turn to step in,” Atsumu announced, and once again they got to watch the colour drain from your face.
“Step in? There will be no stepping in.” you stuttered.
“This Friday, I’m hosting a private party,” he said like a rich man from some movie. “And let’s just say you’ll enjoy the guest list, y/n.”
You bury your face into your mattress, pressing a pillow over your head. “Please, anyone. End my misery!”
Tumblr media
But who are you to deny a good party? It’s just for fun, nothing interesting.
Nothing interesting at all- the thought drifted off into nothing as you watched Sakusa and Komori walk through the door. You chuckled to yourself at how Sakusa seemed to already turn around and try to escape when he saw there were more people there. From the corner of the room, where you previously chatted with Atsumu before he had to answer the door, you watched them. While calmly sipping your drink and leaning against the wall, you observed how sweet Komori acted, turning Sakusa back around and urging him to stay.
However, you should never let your guard down when you’re friends with a Miya. Next thing you knew, all the previously mentioned guys were looking where Atsumu pointed; right at you. In a fight or flight moment, your eyes widened and you escaped into the crowd before Komori could even see you properly. What a classy reaction!
The party went on and you danced with a couple of people you knew from here and there. It was a decent party, you had to admit Miya was good at hosting. Lucky you also crossed paths with a smirking Suna at the edge of the living room turned dance floor. “You truly are the image of grace,” he teased, and you glared in betrayal.
“Thank you,” you answered instead of arguing, moving along with the beat. Suna still seemed smug, and you felt a sense of deja vu when he lifted his hand and yelled ‘Motoya!’ over the loud music. “Have I told you that you’re the worst?” you asked in your sweetest voice before using some liquid courage to turn around to your undeniable crush with a drawn-out ‘heeey’.
“Hey, I was hoping I’d find you,” he responded, a hand caressing your upper arm because some people were pushing. “Where did Suna go?” he asked, glancing up once or twice before settling his gaze on you.
“I asked him to call on you, actually,” you lied, choosing fight instead of flight for once. After all, you had downed a cup or two of mixed alcohol since earlier.
“Really?” Komori smiled and you naturally copied it, albeit a bit more dazed. “Why?” he started moving with you to the music, his hand stroking down your arm and finding its place on your waist.
You didn’t answer him with anything more than a flirty smile and sheepish shrug, stepping closer to him and getting lost in the music while you dared to. If Suna was so insistent on him perceiving you, you didn’t want to seem like some loser with a childish crush.
Eventually, the song changed and you looked down into your now empty cup with a small pout. You left it on the closest surface and turned to Komori. “Should we go somewhere quieter?” you asked, pointing towards the stairs. When he agreed, you loosely grabbed his hand and pulled him up the stairs, looking around for a moment before realising the only good options were the bedroom or the balcony. “Bedroom or balcony?” you asked without thinking much about what it might seem like.
Did he look nervous? Komori was fiddling with his empty plastic cup and didn’t meet your eyes, biting his lip as he looked at the door to the bedroom. “Don’t you think it would be occupied?”
You shrugged and walked over to the door, pulling on the handle and swinging the door open only to find an empty albeit a bit messy room. Turning back to him, you knew your cheeks were burning. It’s just from the alcohol… “Coast is clear.” Komori followed you inside before closing the door behind you, hesitating for a moment before deciding not to lock it. What if that scared you off? What if he misunderstood? The two of you ended up facing each other in the middle of the floor, both thinking too much to make the first move. You weren’t sure if you pulled him upstairs for anything specific, you honestly just wanted to talk to him more now that you had the chance. And guts.
Komori accidentally dropped the empty cup he had been fiddling with and winced, seemingly spurring into action from that little movement alone. “You’re gorgeous.”
You looked at him wide eyed before the words just fell out of your mouth. “I have a huge crush on you.”
A breathy chuckle left his lips and it brushed over your face because he was so close, yet he was seemingly moving even closer by the second. “Sunarin told me.”
You squeeze your eyes shut for a second, cursing your best friend in your mind until you feel Komori’s hands land on your hips more confidently. “I hate him,” you informed him in a whisper. The little space between you felt like it wouldn’t fit anything louder.
“I don’t,” he answered with a small grin before he kissed you, making your arms automatically loop around his neck to pull him closer. You kissed him back with the lust of every wandering thought you had of him the last few years, and he kissed you back with the passion of someone who wasn’t used to being the crush with a cousin like Kiyoomi. When the back of your legs hit the bed, you lay back and pulled him with you, feeling one of his hands slide under your shirt, which you had no intention of stopping.
Suna wasn’t sure if he was happy or not with the sounds coming from Atsumu’s bedroom when he went looking for you. He was glad his plan worked out but he did not need the mental image that came with you moaning his teammate’s name. Is it possible to rinse your brain? Also, Atsumu would act so mad about you doing whatever in his bed before you ‘snuck’ out of the party hand in hand with Komori.
And Osamu would hear all about it in the morning when you came to get food wearing an EJP Raijin sweatshirt. He’d tell you having you there on your derailed walk of shame was bad for business, but still let you sit there and babble about how great Komori was, both in bed and after.
At least you were happy, and that made them happy too.

When you’re sick..
Sakusa Kiyoomi is way too close to you. He insists it’s fine.
He’s got gloves, a medical grade mask, and he’s spraying everything the two of you touch. He says it so proudly. He acts like drooping himself over your prone form, as you shuffle to the kitchen for a cup of tea is going to help you. Like since he’s your own personal knight-if a knights job was to constantly clean you-he’s doing no wrong.
And sure maybe his presence is nice, but you know you don’t appreciate the glares you’re getting from coughing. It’s not like you can HELP it.
He double downs on his glare when you point out how it’s not helping to get rid of your cough. You sigh as you suggest he stops and distances himself. Again.
He pauses and looks at you, and says your name carefully. It makes you look up at him with a little frown, and he wants to kiss it away but instead he’s lifting your hands and cleaning them, asking if you’ve touched the kettle yet.
You continue to grumble throughout the day, nursed back to health by your germaphobic boyfriend. The one you’d thought would be the first to get as far as he could from your sick self. He finishes his care off with the silliest thing you’ve ever seen from him, a kiss blown to you that he tells you to catch.
You suppose you can live with Sakusa Kiyoomi’s nursing for a day or two.
——
When you’re sick..
Komori Motoya is staying the fuck away from you. He loves his baby, but he isn’t getting sick for you. <3

His Jacket
Komori x reader
Your mom had decided to make you go through your childhood bedroom- make piles of what could be donated or thrown away, pack up what you wanted to take back to your own place.
That was how you found it.
Tucked into the back corner of your closet.
Your ex’s high school volleyball jacket.
You hadn’t spoken since the break up, a mutual but painful experience, when you and your high school sweetheart realized life was taking you different ways. He was getting recruited, you were going off to university. You didn’t want to hold him back, it was the last thing you’d ever do, so you let him go. And he did the same.
You slipped the jacket on, even though the color scheme always made you laugh. Yellow and green were such brightly colored choices, but you had always thought he made it look good. It didn’t smell like him anymore, which made sense. It had been in your closet for over four years. But you could still remember it when you closed your eyes and tried hard enough. You knew you should return it, but it hugged your shoulders the same as it used even though you’d grown a bit more, it made you feel like you still had him.
So you kept it on.
You packed up the rest of what you wanted, stowed it in your car, and made the trip back home. Unfortunately, you went about the rest of your day forgetting you had it on. Like when you left your apartment to grab a coffee after moving the boxes.
It was such a simple lapse in judgement, thinking about the distance between Tokyo and Kanagawa and Shizuoka City, you shouldn’t have run into anyone that knew who the jacket belonged to. But then again, life was never easy.
“Aye, Sakusa, look! It’s someone from your alma mater!”
You closed your eyes, deeply breathing and praying there was someone else here in the school colors but too afraid to look. The deep voice you knew well drifting over, “I’m surprised you know what alma mater means, Miya.”
“Wha- I know things!”
“Knowing things doesn’t just mean being able to hit on random strangers and managing a number less than half the time.”
“Wha- Omi!”
Maybe they’d keep arguing and forget about you. Maybe they would leave you alone.
But again, life is never that easy.
Slumped in your chair, staring down at your mug, you could’ve almost ignored the presence that appeared at the other side of your table, but he’d always had such a commanding aura.
“I thought that was you.”
“Hi, Kiy- Sakusa.” You cringed internally, hating that even all these years later you had the urge to use his first name, “It’s, uh, it’s good to see you.”
His dark eyes stared at you, most of his face still hidden behind his mask like it was in high school, “I wasn’t expecting to run into you… we’re here for a match.” You nodded, lips pursed as the two of you tried to navigate small talk after so many years. Just as you opened your mouth, it was like he read your mind, “He’s doing okay. Figured you’d want to know considering…” he gestured vaguely at the jacket you wished you had remembered to take off.
“Yeah… was hoping he was doing well.”
“Omi-Omi! We need to get to the gym!”
Rolling his eyes, Sakusa went to leave, but froze, “I know you think I didn’t care for your company in high school, but you were… tolerable.” You snorted and could see his eyes crinkle behind the mask like he was smiling, “You were good for him. It’s not my place, but it might be time to reach out again.”
He was following his teammates through the door before you could reply, only for the smaller one with orange hair to run back inside, “Hi! Sakusa wanted to invite you to the next game but didn’t want to walk back in where there were so many people. We play tonight against VC Kanagawa, he’s gonna leave your name on the list, okay?” You had to laugh as he ran back out before you could say anything.
Even if they stayed for your reply, it’s not like you were gonna go.
You were there. Unsure what led you to the decision, it was like you were on autopilot until you found yourself outside the gym, and then suddenly you were frozen with the ticket in hand.
What were you honestly doing here? It’s not like you avoided volleyball since high school graduation and the break up, in fact you had managed your uni team, but you had never ventured so closely into his territory. This wasn’t just the game of a friend from high school, this was his cousin. How could you come here when you hadn’t reached out? Hadn’t spoken since you left his home to cry yourself to sleep in bed nearly five years ago?
You were knocked out of your head by someone stumbling up behind you and thumping into your back, “Oh! I’m so sorry. I didn’t… see you…”
You didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. You also didn’t need to turn around to know he knew who you were. But you turned slowly all the same, finally seeing him in person again, “Hey M- hey Komori. I guess I should’ve expected to see you when Sakusa invited me to the game.”
The smile he gave you was tinged with sadness, “No more Motoya, huh? Never thought we’d get to that day, Y/N.”
You gave a small laugh, “Neither did I. Ya know, I’ve been tracking you- I mean your team, obviously I mean your team.”
His smile changed to that big grin that used to make your heart melt- that still made your heart melt, “My mom has kept in touch with yours, so I guess I’ve been tracking you too. Accountant at a law firm, huh?”
You made a face, “Yes. Get yelled all day about spending by the people doing the spending and claiming it has to do with cases when it rarely does.”
His laugh was so refreshing, like you hadn’t heard a sound that beautiful in all those years, “You know you could always contact that old friend of yours from Nekoma- Kuroo, remember? He works for the JVA now. Maybe they need accountants.”
“Yeah, he’s tried to recruit me.” You laughed, before it faded and you struggled to smile as big, “I didn’t want to tread on your territory.”
Komori gave you a look that seemed to cross between empathetic and confused, “Since when was this only ever my territory? Far back as I can remember, you were always here with me.” You gaped, floundering for something, but he just slowly took your hand, “Are you seeing anyone?” You opened your mouth, but couldn’t force the sound out, so you shook your head. “Mind letting me take you for a drink after the game then? I know it’s been a while, but you’ve just…”
“Always been on your mind?” You ventured, and when he nodded you squeezed his hand, “You’ve always been on mine, too, Motoya. I would really like to get a drink with you.”
He grinned again, “Kiyoomi told me he found you wearing my jacket, by the way.”
“That rat!”
Sakusa smirked when he saw the two of you sitting together in the stands.
And he smirked again a few years later when he stood next to the two of you as Komori’s best man.

The mad dash begins as soon as the front door to your shared apartment clicks shut. Motoya’s footsteps race into the kitchen, pattering against the tile as he slings his EJP jacket across one of the chairs at the kitchen counter.
He pecks a kiss to your hair. “Hi babe.” And another one. “Bye babe.”
He stops for only a second to slip out of a single shoe, leaving it at the opening to the hallway like a volleyball-playing Cinderella. You hear the dull clunk of the other shoe somewhere farther down; you guess somewhere near the bedroom.
“‘M goin’ out with Kiyoomi and the guys tonight!” He calls from down the hall, closet door sliding open as he does. Last week he made plans with his cousin and their old volleyball friends to go out for dinner and grab a few drinks, catch up a little. And now, tonight’s the night.
“I know!”
“You gonna be okay for dinner, sweets? I can bring you somethin’ home.”
“I’m cooking up some stir fry now! Don’t worry about me, ‘Toya.”
He grumbles something you don’t quite catch, and then shouts to ask, “Babe, do you know where my plaid shirt is? The blue one?”
You think it over as the vegetables sizzle on the stovetop. You hadn’t seen it in the hamper, and you can’t remember the last time you saw it in the closet. Shrugging, you reply, “Uhh, no baby. I don’t. Did you check your drawers, too?”
The sounds of drawers opening and closing travels down the hallway. And then, “It’s not here.”
“Hmm, then sorry, I don’t know.”
Motoya sighs and picks another shirt. It’s not that big a deal, but he had been itching to wear that shirt. Maybe when he had more time, he could really look for it. He retraces his steps to pick up his discarded sneakers before dropping them into your bedroom and grabbing his jacket. And as he shrugs into it, Motoya pads back down the hallway, stopping right before he reaches the kitchen.
He takes a moment to drink you in, admiring your soft curves and the gentle way you flit from one counter to the other, chopping vegetables and adding ingredients to the wok. But as his eyes drag down the line of your neck, he notices something. Something... peculiar.
A familiar blue plaid shirt hangs off of one shoulder, exposing smooth skin and the thin strap of your tank top. With flushed cheeks and a rapidly beating heart, Motoya comes up behind you to worm his arms around your waist and press his chest into your back, to push a smirk into the crook of your neck.
Before he says anything, he kisses your skin, right where your neck meets your shoulder. His voice is low and even as he says, “This shirt looks familiar, hmm? Thought you didn’t know where it was?”
Your hands still, gaze flickering down to his arms, weaved around well-worn, navy blue plaid. “Oh, Motoya, I’m sorry. I wasn’t even thinking.”
“Mm,” he presses closer to peck your cheek, nuzzling his nose into your skin when he pulls away, “It’s okay. Looks better on you anyway.”
“Honey,” you warn, “you’re gonna be late.”
A kiss lands right against your temple. “Don’t wanna leave.”
You turn in his arms to cradle his cheek. “Well, I don’t want to hear your cousin complain. So, go.”
Motoya rolls his eyes and leans in to finally press a chaste kiss to your lips. “Alright, alright. I’m goin’.”
At the door, he gives you a long look, like a sad puppy guilting its owner into staying home. He pouts, and you step closer to kiss him again. “Go. I’ll see you in a couple hours.”
“Will you save me some stir fry?”
You sigh, fixing him with a knowing smile. “I already made extra.”
With one last peck, he beams. “I love you.”
“I love you, too. See you when you get home.”

Being Team Japan’s Manager
Manager into crafts
Tumblr media
Team Japan x Gender Neutral Manager (they/them)
Warnings: Like all fluff, maybe swearing???
AN: I’m back on my bs again and here to feed everyone 😅 sorry it’s so sporadic but I hope this holds everyone over for a bit!
When I say you should be nominated for sainthood Yn, I mean it!
These guys are a lot to deal with
Honestly, you have no clue how they even functioned before you came along
I mean, the coach practically begged you to be their manager
Man’s is tired 😴
Anyways, it’s safe to say that practices are eventful
Despite’s Bokuto saying he’s “matured”, he hasn’t
“How come Hinata got more sets than I did?” Bokuto asks Atsumu
You 👉🏻😃 crap he noticed-
“It’s simple, Hinata was just on today and you weren’t,” Atsumu responses, walking away
Bokuto 👇🏻
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Yaku and Hakuba are arguing about something 🙄
“That’s block sucked man, stop moving your hands all over!” Yaku shouts
“I wasn’t moving my hands all over, I was setting up for a receive when I knew I couldn’t block!” Hakuba yells back
On top of that Iwaizumi is yelling at Kageyama for practicing too much
Sakusa is complaining about how everyone needs to schedule their flu shot
And Aran has just all but abandoned the gym because he’s just over it
Thankfully, when practice was over, you were able to go home and spend some time enjoying one of your favorite hobbies
Crafting ✂️ 🎨 🧶
You had tried a lot of different crafts and found that you were pretty good at them
Everything from painting to knitting, from sculpting to resin
You enjoyed the creativity that crafts provided
It could be stressful but definitely not as stressful as your day job
Nothing can ever beat that stress 🙄
Anyways, you’d managed to keep your hobby on the down low
It wasn’t that you weren’t proud, it was more like you just hadn’t found the opportunity to bring it up
I mean, it’s not like you’re busy or something 😐
It wasn’t until one fateful night when your happy little secret was finally discovered
You see, you were home, watching/listening to some show while trying to knit
It was a newer hobby you’d picked up, on top of jewelry making, crocheting, etc
A jack of all trades our sweet YN 💅
You are knee deep in ‘knit one purl two’ rhythm when the door bell rings
Now since you had very little life outside the team, you were wondering who it could possibly be
You didn’t want to lose your stitch so you stood up and made your way to the door
On the other side was none other then Hinata and Kageyama
Panicked you quickly opened the door and stared at them
🎶 when he looks at me, and I look at him and he looks at me and I LOOK AT HIMMM 🎶
Obviously, you are draped in yarn while dawning other comfy attire 💅
Arguably two of the most “chaotic” members of the team just stare at you
Literally 👉🏻👁️👄👁️
You look at them like “What? Can’t I have a life outside of being your caretaker?”
Of course Hinata probably thinks you just escaped some maniac who attempted to tie you up with yarn of all things…
“OMG YN WHERE YOU KIDNAPPED??” Hinata yells, grabbing onto your shoulders and shaking you rather violently
“I’m in my own house Shoyo…” you respond, brain trying to reconnect to reality
Leave it to Kageyama to help the situation
“HINATA BOKE YN ISNT KIDNAPPED, THEY ARE PRACTICING THEIR KNOT TYING SKILLS!” Kageyama screams, smacking Hinata in the back of the head
See… helping 😌
Sighing as the two dunces fight in front of you, you try to calmly correct their mistake
“I’m not kidnapped, nor am I practicing any nautical knot tying, I’m learning to knit,” you explain as the two cock an eyebrow in your direction.
Both of them look at each other and then back to you, confused 🫤
You 👉🏻😐🙄
“You know what, it’s really not important! What do you two need?” You question, wondering why you were interrupted in the first place
“Well now I can’t remember why we came here!” Hinata exclaims, “can you Kageyama?”
“Yeah not really,” Kageyama answers
You definitely deserve a pay raise Yn
“Ok well if you two could kindly go home and rest that would be much appreciated. You know how angry Hajime gets when you guys don’t get enough sleep,” you scold as the two men’s eyes widen
They quickly take off, racing each other to who knows where
As you close and lock your door, you think about how the next days practice with go
Will Hinata and Kageyama tell the other guys about your hobby?
Will Hinata and Kageyama even remember?
Honestly you figure brain cells are on your side since the two that just exited your apartment have a combined one on a good day
There’s no way they’d ever tell the guys about your knitting…
Sure… yeah… absolutely… it’s DEFINITELY fine : D
*12 hours later*
“YN I didn’t know you tied nautical knots on your days off? What a unique hobby!” Yaku says, first the next morning at practice
“I didn’t even know you fished Yn,” Hakuba adds
“Maybe YN just likes the art of knot making?” Aran suggests
You 👉🏻 🧍🙄
“I don’t tie knots guys, I knit… KNIT!” You shout as their eyes all pop open
“Knit? As in like what grandmas do?” Atsumu inputs
Please someone 👊🏻
“Atsumu shut up! Knitting is something alot of people do to relieve stress. And with a team filled with dummies like you, I’m sure YN needs all the stress relieve they can get!” Iwaizumi shouts
“Oh my god,” you whisper as the gym fills with chatter
“Why didn’t you tell us about your hobby Yn?” Ushijima asks as you just stare at him and gesture to the chaos that is currently unfolding
Ushijima just nods and quietly walks away to resume his practice
“So YN do you knit? Like scarves or port holders or something?” Suna questions as he walks with you to your office
“Well I’m just learning the art right now but I do a few other crafts in my spare time,” you say, still ignoring whatever is happening on the floor
“That’s cool, you should post some of your crafts online. I’m sure you could sell them or something? Maybe make a little extra money?”
You shrug, not really interested in extra funds and more excited to just do something you enjoy
Or should I say, the TEAM enjoys 😅
Because if you think you’re going to get away with not teaching one craft Yn, you are very mistaken
Hinata is sending you 5 minute craft videos every day
Bokuto wants to know if you can knit special pads for him for practice
Atsumu is asking for a custom “Atsumu” phone case 🙄
It literally doesn’t stop
So what do we do about this? Well there’s only one thing we CAN do 👀
🎉 CRAFT PARTY 🎉
That’s right, you gather all your craft supplies and haul them into the gym one Friday during practice
The guys all stare at you like you’ve walked into the wrong gym
“Uhh Yn you do know this is a volleyball gym right?” Yaku jokes as you set up your table on the side lines and nod
“Yep! But after practice it’s going to be a craft party!”
“Craft… PARTY???” The guys all shout in tones varying from excitement to pure confusion
“Yes since you all want me to make you crafts, I’m just going to show you how to do it instead!” You exclaim
“You made sure to get non-toxic glue right Yn? I don’t trust some of the idiots not to eat it,” Sakusa remarks, staring at a few members in particular
You roll you eyes and smile, “yes Sakusa, it’s all safe! And I have crafts for everyone.”
Surprisingly, the guys are rather good at crafts
Sakusa’s flexibility makes crocheting and knitting a piece of cake
Atsumu’s flamboyant nature makes him great at painting
Hinata and Kageyama have somehow turned bracelet making into a competition
Komori and Yaku are great with stencils!
And you? You are just happy to be able to share your hobby with your favorite people 🥰

.•°♡°•. My Husband .•°♡°•.
Tumblr media
♡ Synopsis: Husband Headcannons for Komori
♡ Characters: Komori, Y/N
♡ Possible Warnings: None that I can think of, please let me know though.
♡ Words: 383
Tumblr media
Most definitely bakes cookies with you
Chaotic but sweet
Would wake you up at like 4 so you could sit on the roof and watch the sun rise
Brings you flowers every week because “You’re just so pretty how can I not”
Brought you with him to buy the rings because he wanted to be sure you would like it. He also wanted you to pick his.
Komori had dragged you out of bed at a nice 12:30. That wasn’t the problem, the problem was that you were hungry and you hadn't stopped to get food yet. “It’s important and I know you’ll like it. Please just bear with me a little longer?” You agreed. I mean there wasn’t anything you wouldn’t do for your boyfriend. When the two of you showed up to a ring store you were a bit shocked. “I know this probably isn’t how you imagined it, it’s not how I originally imagined it either. I want to marry you Y/N. I was just so nervous trying to plan everything I figured it would be better for you to help me pick the rings. I know how you get about big public proposals and I probably should’ve done it before we left. Will you marry me?” You of course said yes and both of you happily went inside to pick out each other’s rings.
The wedding wasn’t a big gathering just your families and friends
One time he lost his ring and he felt so bad (you guys found it later. It turns out he was doing the dishes so he took it off and just forgot to put it back on)
When it’s snowing outside he definitely makes you both go outside to make snow angels
Makes you coco and wraps you in blankets when you get back inside though can’t have you getting sick
I think he would call you his love. Like this man could be talking to someone and then just stops like “Sorry, my love just texted me and I need to respond to them.” Like you always get his undivided attention whenever he’s able to
His friends can make fun of him for how whipped he is but he doesn’t care he just reminds them that they’re single and jealous
Tumblr media
I’ve never written for this character before, thank you so much ❄️ anon for requesting this. My requests are open and so are my taglists for characters and series that I’m doing. I hope you all enjoyed! Love you guys!

PART 1
Yandere!MSBY 4 x Kageyama Twin!Reader Side couple: Komori Motoya x Reader
Warnings: Yandere behavior, possessive and obsessive behavior. Manga spoilers. Takes place during the Nationals and post timeskip. Minors don't interact!!! I made the reader 176 cm tall here, btw.
Part 2:
Tumblr media
"Woohooo! Nice kill,Suna-san!" (Y/n) cheered along with the crowd, trying to be as loud as possible. Due to her busy schedule with Uni, she didn't have a lot of free time to watch Raijin's games in real life, so when she did have those opportunities, she used them to the fullest. Suna and Komori, hearing her familiar voice, turned and sent her a grin, along with Watari, who just waved at her. 'Amazing... They already won the 1st set, and only 5 more points are needed to finish this one!' (Y/n) blushed in excitement as she kept watching her boyfriend's team, not noticing four pairs of eyes watching her every move.
Hinata was having a great day, he really was. He woke up feeling refreshed, went to train with the rest of the MSBY, and later on they drove to Shizuoka City for their match against one of their long time rival team.Everything was ok for the professional player, until he saw the youngest Kageyama walking down the hallway of the gymnasium. Now, Hinata did like and enjoy (Y/n)'s company, he has been in love with her since before they entered Karasuno. And the moment he saw her, he wanted to run up to the taller woman and hug her, confess the feelings he never had the chance to.
But what made him stop was nobody other than Komori run up to her, kissing her cheek as soon as he reached her side.Hinata would have found the display of affection cute, if it wasn't for the fact that it was between (Y/n) and that libero. The rage and bitterness was slowly taking over his body as he watched the unsuspecting couple.
The orange haired man was aware of them dating. Heck it all went down in their final year at Karasuno, and magazines in Japan and even some in Brasil were fawning over how cute they were, once they found this out.No matter what Hinata did, he couldn't escape it, and the sadness he felt over time became something dark. Something twisted...something nobody would dare to call love...well except for him and 3 of his other teammates.
He will forever remember the rage and betrayal he felt when he found out about them.
Hinata remembered the day he met (Y/n) very clearly. It was the day he made a long term frenemy with her brother. He remembered how kind and sweet she was to him when he promised Tobio he would defeat him on court. Hinata was flabbergasted when he found out the tall beauty was not only the king's twin, but also went to the same high school as he did. Ever since he joined the club as the middle blocker, and (Y/n) as their manager, he went above and beyond to prove how good he was. Which pissed her brother off at times, since Hinata would jump at random moments and not watch where the ball would fly. (Y/n) would of course try and calm them both down, so that they can focus back on either training or on a match.
It was during the Nationals in their 1st year that Hinata felt threatened. Sure, he did see other boys from their school and other schools try to approach (Y/n), but their advances were either ignored, or Tobio would shoo them away with a glare. But this time was different, not only did Tobio greet the newcomer so openly, but (Y/n) also was more talkative than she usually was with strangers. That day, Hinata came across the boy who would cause him so much pain and anguish for years to come.
"Hinata, maybe you should slow down with the food? Nobody will steal it from you, and your stomach will hurt." (Y/n) warned the shorter boy, who kept showing the onigiri into his mouth.
"I am really hungry and nervous! I can't help it! This match against Nekoma that is coming up is making me nervous." Hinata whined. (Y/n) smiled softly at the boy and patted his head, causing Hinata to smile at the affection he was receiving.
"You worry too much. Tobio, you and the rest of the team prepared for so long, there is no way you will lose. Believe in yourself a little more." (Y/n) said softly, shortly after returning back to her own food.
Hinata sighed, blushing brightly as he looked at (Y/n), who was concentrating on the Fukurodani match.
'So pretty...'
"Stop doing that." Kageyama commented as he pinched Hinata's cheek, to which the shorter cried out in pain.
"What was that for?!"
"You know exactly, Boke!"
"Bakayama not making sense, like always!"
"Keep it down you two! Everyone is looking!" (Y/n) shushed them, returning back to the match as the two boys sent each other side glances.
"Ahh Kageyama, I knew that was your voice I heard!" Komori said as he approached the trio.
"Yeah sorry, he can be an idiot at times." Tobio commented, pointing at Hinata.
"Hey!"
(Y/n) looked up at the brown aired boy, taken aback by his cute appearance.
"Oh! I am Komori Motoya, libero from the Itachiyama Institute!" The boy said cheerfully to Hinata and (Y/n).
"Komori-san was in the same youth camp like me." Tobio added as (Y/n) nodded her head.
"A libero? And you were at the youth camp, you must be among the best ones in the country then!" (Y/n) spoke up, Komori sending her a grin.
"Well I wouldn't say that, but I try my best. You are Kageyama's twin, (Y/n)? We heard about you from him."
"We?"
"Yeah, my cousin Sakusa, he is our ace, was with us during the camp."
"Oh I see... Wait, Sakusa Kiyoomi, the no 1 ace in the country?!"
Hinata watched with an empty look in his eyes as the duo chatted. This was the first time he witnessed (Y/n) be so open with a stranger, and that Tobio didn't say a word or even glare a the older boy.
Slowly but surely, he came to realize that a rival finally arrived, and it was in the form of this boy, who not even Tobio can dislike.
"You seem to really like this Komori guy." Hinata comments bitterly as Tobio shrugged his shoulders.
"Komori-san is a good guy. He is fine, in my opinion."
The basically direct approval made Hinata nervous, hoping that nothing big or important will come out of this small talk.
In his final Nationals game, Hinata felt on top of the world. They made it to the Nationals for a 3rd time and placed 3rd in the match. The orange haired boy felt like he could move a mountain.
"Hinata you were amazing as always! I am so proud of you 4!"
The said boy grinned brightly as he felt (Y/n)'s arms wrap around him.
"We wouldn't be here without your help, you know."  Hinata spoke softly, hugging back, drowning in the scent (Y/n) carried.
'Now is my time...' The boy gulped, letting go of the girl. Over the years she got even more beautiful to him, and he wasn't sure how to speak for a moment.
"Hey uh...(Y/n)..."
"Yes?" She asked.
"You know how we are graduating all in a few months and...well I wanted to say... that...I am-"
Just as Hinata was about to confess, Tobio's voice interrupted him.
"(Y/n), Komori-san is here." Kageyama said boredly from behind Hinata. Quickly looking up, (Y/n) grinned as she saw the older boy approaching them.
"Sorry Hinata, just a second."  She said and left the boy's side.
In horror, orange haired boy watched as (Y/n) jumped into the libero's arms, kissing him on the cheek.
"Woah! Well that's one way to be greeted." Komori joked as Hinata, along with Tsukishima and Yamaguchi watched their exchange.
"The two are dating?" The tallest of the three wondered, turning to look at Kageyama.
"Yeah, since summer or so."
"Since summer?!"
While the three were talking, Hinata kept silent, watching as the girl he loved, heck even worshiped was laughing in another guy's arms. His heart broke on that day, but his sanity was in for a long ride.
Since then, Hinata tried, he really did, to get over his feelings for the younger twin. He made sure to work on his volleyball skill, left for Brasil to learn and became a better player. And he thought he got over her, he thought he could be happy for his friend. It was selfish for him to think she dated Komori to hurt his feelings, since he was never clear with them. But, he just couldn't, (Y/n) was the one he loved, wanted and needed. And during his flight back to Japan, he made a promise to himself. He will do anything in his power to get his (Y/n) back. Hinata was more than willing to share with his other 3 teammates, they loved her equally and would keep her safe.
Hinata clenched his fists as he watched Komori and (Y/n) kiss, and Suna tease them both.
'(Y/n)...it should have been me who you said that to...Not HIM!'
Now Bokuto wasn't a smart person when it came to love. His intelligence when it came to studying was average, his game sense was top notch, his social skills were on par with Hinata and Atsumu, but love... that wasn't smth on his plan.
Well, or so he thought till his 3rd year at Fukurodani. Not only did he meet the Karasuno team, people he considered today as close friends or rivals on court, but also her.
(Y/n) was pretty shy back then, and stayed mostly around her brother, Kiyoko, Hinata or Tsukishima, basically anyone from her team... well, she was pretty close to Kenma, but that's besides the point.
In short, Bokuto saw her as a potentially good friend at the time, and he would try to get a few conversations out of her, ignoring the other Kageyama's glares at times.
And the few conversations he had with her were nice, great even. Not only was she nice, but her game and strategy senses were beyond what he would expect from a high school manager. And the more time passed, the more he grew interested. His heart would beat faster, his breath grew shallower and his hands shaking when he felt her watch his games during the Nationals. It was this way even during the qualifications, because he knew she would be watching this game on her TV, she was making Karasuno's strategies, and it was only normal for her to watch the possible rivals. Later on, his sister told him what he felt was love and gave him some advices on how to handle his emotions and confess.
Bokuto listened carefully, and over the years tried to come up with the perfect confession strategy. And just when he built up the needed courage,it all crashed when he saw the haunting scene playing out in front of him.
It all happened during Karasuno's last game at the Nationals, when they placed 3rd with Yamaguchi as their captain. Bokuto was impressed with his skills and how much he grew from the 1st year, as well as the other four. He would grin whenever (Y/n) would yell some encouraging words or warnings at the boys. He loved seeing how well she took care of the younger ones in the team, watching as she calmed some down over the loss. The rest, were more than happy with the results of their hard work.
As everyone was leaving or going to congratulate the players, Bokuto gripped onto the flowers he got for (Y/n). He decided to be nonchalant in his approach, after all, they weren't strangers to each other.
But the college student stopped in his tracks as he watched (Y/n), the girl of his dreams, run into the arms of the familiar Itachiyama libero.
In horror, Bokuto saw how she kissed him on the cheek, saw the love he held for her and overall, the strong relationship they shared.
Bokuto wasn't stupid, he knew what was going on, but he couldn't help his thoughts.
'What is going on?'
Slowly, he turned around and left.
Throwing the flowers into the garbage, he walked home. Ignoring his sister's questioning, Bokuto went into his room and finally let all the tears,he held back fall.
That night, something inside of Bokuto switched, the thought of (Y/n) being with someone caused anger and resentment in his heart. Every time Bokuto saw anything remotely about the couple in the magazines, he would rip those pages apart.
Hurt, anger, envy and his love for the younger girl clouding his mind.
And now, with a successful career as a athlete, with all the money, fame and fans, Bokuto felt like the helpless and heartbroken boy all those years ago as he watched Komori run up to (Y/n) after the last point was made.
Bokuto held his tears back, keeping a neutral as possible way as he watched the (h/c) woman kiss the man.
'Why him? Of all men, why did it have to be him?' Bokuto clenched his fists, opting to follow Meian as he solemnly told them to go and change, clearly upset with the loss of the game.
Atsumu wouldn't consider himself as a jealous person. Competitive? He sure was. With his twin, which was their thing since forever, with rival players during Junior High, and with his newest addition being Kageyama Tobio.
But now, now he for sure can say the gnawing feeling in his chest, and it took everything in him to not go where Komori and (Y/n) were standing, take her in his arms and show the brown haired man who she belonged to. Who could treat her right. And that was him, Atsumu Miya. One of Japan's top athletes.
It was during the time he was supposed to serve. Before that, everyone witnessed the ace of Karasuno being booed by Inarizaki's crowd, causing him to mess up and losing the point.
(Y/n) didn't initially say anything, seeing as the crowd from Karasuno and Kiyoko kept quiet, and she only heard Ukai and Takeda comment about the ordeal.
'They do that to EVERY team?! How is that fair? And Asahi-san looks genuinely upset over this too...' (Y/n) thought, sending a thumbs up at the ace, hoping he won't beat himself up over this.
The girl kept quiet tho, she didn't know how to even respond to this, and her shyness held her back from standing out from the crowd.
But what broke the camel's back, was when it was the Atsumu's turn to serve.
She watched in confusion as he held his fist up, and the whole crowd from Inarizaki grew quiet.
"They shut up?" (Y/n) questioned, catching Ukai's attention.
"Yeah, I heard of this anomaly from them. They will boo the opponents, but will be quiet as a mouse when it's their team's turn. Something about them needing to concentrate." Ukai explained, causing rage to grow in the girl as she watched the setter score a point.
The same was about to repeat itself, but (Y/n) wasn't going to let that happen. They all, especially the boys worked too hard to get here, and she won't let foul play stop their journey at the 2nd match.
Taking a deep breath, and with adrenaline pumping high, (Y/n) got up from her seat, causing Kiyoko to look up in surprise.
"(Y/n)-"
"WHAT SORT OF FAVORITISM IS THIS?!"
Kiyoko jumped up, just like Takeda, to calm the girl down, but Ukai stopped them both from doing so.
Karasuno looked at their usually quiet manager in shock, never seeing her raise her voice before or glare.
Tobio looked at his twin, then at Inarizaki, being on the lookout if something happens.
Atsumu stopped in his tracks, sending a dirty look towards the girl as she interrupted him.
"(Y/n), calm down-"
"I will not calm down! Otherwise they will treat you guys this way for the rest of the game!" The younger interrupted Daichi, glaring at the referees.
"This can't be called fairness in any way! They are booing our players and causing them to mess up! Who can possibly concentrate when all the cheers are drowned out by them?! Inarizaki is not in any shape of form above us on this court for you to let this slide!"
Taking a deep breath, (Y/n) turned to look at her team, face red, but the same angry look in her eyes was present, scaring the team a little.
"And you guys better get it together! I know we are all nervous, but you all trained for too long to let some cowards run this show! You played against Ushijima of all people, so get it together! You can do just as good against Mustard hair and Co!Please, Karasuno has your back... right?" (Y/n) finished, sounding a little softer as she turned to look at the cheer squad.
Ukai looked af his friends, who quickly got out of their shocked state, and nodded their heads fast.
"OF COURE! WE ALL GOT YOUR BACKS!"
"DON'T LET THEM FASE YOU GUYS! WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!"
(Y/n) smiled thankfully at the two men, then looked back at the court, sending a thumbs up and nervous smile at her team.
"You got this. Show them what Karasuno is made of."
Daichi's shocked expression softened and he nodded his head, turning back to his teammates.
"Alright. Let's do this,swift!"
"Sure thing, Daichi-san!"
"Oi Boke, stop making googly eyes at my sister and focus on the game." Tobio commented, causing the orange haired boy to look away from the flustered twin, and glare at the setter.
"Shut! I wasn't! Let's finish this and move on to the next game!"
"Are you doing alright? Your face is quite red." Sugawara asked, giving the girl a unused water bottle. (Y/n) took it and nodded her head, the realization of what just happened finally hit her.
"Y-yeah... I don't know what came over me to be honest."
"Well whatever it was, it sure helped us. The boys seem more determinated now." Ukai commented with a satisfied smile as the game resumed, with Karasuno's cheer squad now louder than ever.
"Good job, (Y/n)! But now let's sit down and watch the game." Kiyoko said, guiding the girl to the bench.
"Yes! This will all end well, I trust them to win." (Y/n) cheered smiling as she watched Tanaka score a point.
The whole time, as she cheered and assisted Kiyoko during breaks, Atsumu kept glaring at her.
'Stupid squealing pig, not only did I mess up my serve, but now Karasuno won't stop cheering when we serve...'
Atsumu took a sip from his water bottle, and looked over at Osamu and Suna, who were chit-chating quietly.
"What are you two planning now?" Kita questioned.
"You know... Karasuno's manager had a point."
"Which is?" Omimi asked, Aran already knowing what this might be about.
"Tsumu's hair looks like mustard. Not even the good quality one at that."
"SAMU YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Atsumu yelled as the third years tried to stop the fight.
"What is going on over there?" (Y/n) rose an eyebrow as she handed Hinata his water bottle.
"Who know..."
The game ended with Karasuno taking the win, everyone cheered loudly in happiness and relief. The game was tiring for everyone, and seeing it end was sweet for some and saddening for the others.
"What?" Tobio grumbled as he noticed Atsumu glaring at him, clearly disappointed with the outcome.
"Ya know, I honestly underestimated you, scrub. Thought you were some goody-two shoes, but you are up for dirty tactics."
"What is he even talking about?" Hinata questioned, confused with the whole interaction.
"Doesn't matter, but Shoyo-kun." The orange haired boy looked up at the loud blonde.
"One day, I will be the one setting for you, but until then, I will defeat you at the Interhigh and make sure to outdo you in your own tricks."
Atsumu was about to turn around and leave, only for Hinata's question to stop him.
"How is he going to do that, when (Y/n) came up with those?"
"Hm? Who?" Atsumu questioned, causing the two boys to look at him.
"(Y/n), she is our manager and mostly works with the two of us-"
"Tobio! Hinata! You two were amazing!"
Hinata's explaining got interrupted by the said girl cheering and jumping to hug them both, causing them nearly to fall over.
Atsumu looked at the scene in front of him, glaring harder as he noticed it was the same girl who yelled at him during his serve.
"I am so proud of you two! That was amazing, especially the final point!"
(Y/n) cheered as she let go of the two. Hinata blushed a little from all the praise, but kept his cool. Tobio, seeing how silent Atsumu was, turned to look at him.
"Is there something else you wanted?"
Atsumu snorted and shook his head. The other two looked at him now as well, wondering what he wanted to say.
"No. Just mark my words, during the next match, I will make sure you regret for underestimating my team."
Atsumu pointed at (Y/n), before he eventually turned around and left.
"He is weird..."
(Y/n) said, holding Hinata back, who tried to attack Atsumu over pointing at her.
"Weird, yes. But an awfully good player."
Her twin said back.
A year later, at the Nationals the story was a little different. Atsumu kept on grinning as he watched the defeated Karasuno team packing. He felt elated, nearly satisfied with showing Tobio and Shoyo who the better setter, the better team was.
But his satisfaction wasn't to the fullest without seeing the loud mouthed manager crying.
"Atsumu, where are you going?" Ginjima asked as he watched the captain walk towards the exit door.
"I need to use the bathroom." He simply answered.
"More like going off to see if the Karasuno manager from last year is upset." Osamu commented as Suna snickers.
"Still holding a grudge? You are pretty childish, Atsumu."
"Shut up! You won't understand!"
The trio watched the blonde walk off, a little concerned over the younger girl.
"Atsumu seems... a little obsessed with her, don't you think?"
Ginjima wondered, looking over at Osamu.
"More like seeing her upset above anything. He just won't shut up."
'Where is that squealing nonsense-'
"Yeah, the game was quite tense and really everyone was playing well...No, we are leaving tomorrow, Ukai-sensei said we will have dinner tonight and leave tomorrow during noon. Yeah, we asked to watch Nekoma's match before leaving." Atsumu grinned as he heard the girl talk behind the corner.
He waited behind the wall, hoping to hear her cry or whimper during the phone call.
"Hmm? Our opponents were from Inarizaki tonight, man they came a lot stronger this year. Guess the loss last year hurt their ego a little." (Y/n) chuckled.
'Why...why is she joking and not crying?!'
"Huh? I am a little bit upset, but nothing major. In volleyball you win or lose, and that's fine. Besides, I was pretty impressed with how well the Inarizaki team played this year, it was nice seeing them not relay on their cheer squad..."
Atsumu had about enough at that point, ready to make his presence clear and yell at her.
"Their twins tho...they were quite something. Yeah, the gray haired Miya had some nice strikes, and as much as that blonde one annoys me, I have to admit he is a good player. I can see why he is one of the best setters in the nation."
Atsumu stopped in his tracks and looked at the girl in shock, face slowly turning red from her words. Well, more like how she was saying it, with absolutely no malice or envy. Just pure honesty.
"Yeah I will tell Tobio that, see ya tomorrow!"
The blonde shook his head as (Y/n) walked back to the court, but stopped when she noticed Atsumu standing in front of her.
"Did you need something?" The girl wondered. When she didn't get an answer, she shrugged her shoulders, walking off to her destination, only to be interrupted by Atsumu.
"You aren't upset? On the verge of crying? Your team lost."
"Hmmm... I am upset, but not to that extent. Besides, volleyball is meant to be enjoyed, at leat to me. You take this too seriously, and it doesn't seem healthy for you. There is more to the game, ya know!" (Y/n) said, looking at the older in boredom for one last time, before going back to her previous attempts to get back to her team.
Atsumu watched her silently as his face grew warmer and warmer. The indifference when she talked about the loss was disappointing, but also... refreshing?
He was used to seeing his opponents pissed, distraught or straight up crying, this was something new. Something he was willing to change.
Atsumu wanted to see her...break, be distraught and look at him in awe while crying.
He liked that thought, but for now he will have to work harder for that to happen.
Atsumu smirked and took his phone out, looking at some of the pictures he made Suna find for him.
'Just like that Goody-two shoes of her brother...absolutely no social media or posts. Well, better for me. At least I know that no unknown guys can see her.'
Atsumu wasn't jealous in the past, but now... ever since Suna told him (Y/n) was dating Komori, jealousy was his closest friend. He waited, hoped that the libero would slip up eventually, look at a woman long enough for paparazzi to see, but nothing. The man was fully loyal and devoted to (Y/n), and the she to him. It pissed him off, but also made him fawn over how cute she is by playing the loyal girlfriend.
'I will find a way to break you two up. No relationship is perfect and then... then she will be all mine. As it should have been a long time ago.'
Sakusa wasn't much of a people person, well for loud people like Atsumu and Bokuto maybe, but he did have his fair share of friends, his cousin Komori being one of them.
Love wasn't something he was looking for, nor was he interested in it much. He had volleyball and his studies, and that was enough for him.
Well, until his 2nd year at the Nationals.
He heard of (Y/n) from her brother at the youth camp, thanks to Komori's shenanigans.
Back then he didn't know that the same exact girl would cause him so many sleepless nights and resentment for someone.
Sakusa thought over the past as he glared at his cousinp, who was chatting away with with Suna over God knows what.
'He should be with (Y/n)...protect her and make sure she doesn't get sick. What kind of a boyfriend is he?'
Sakusa's stone cold eyes then turned to gaze at (Y/n), who was talking with a woman he came to know as her older sister. Probably decided to accompany her, he guessed.
His first impression of Tobio wasn't much, a very skilled player who seemed to mostly mind his business. Nothing unusual or special. He wanted to know just one thing, and that was how a no name school like Karasuno, won against Ushijima.
But he could sadly not get a word of interest out of the raven haired boy, only that Ushijima was on top of his game that day, and so was Karasuno.
Komori, being a little uncomfortable with the situation his cousin caused, jumped in and defused the situation.
Sakusa honestly would have gladly stayed away from the setter after, but Komori wasn't having the same idea.
So now he was forced to eat lunch with Komori, Tobio and Chigaya, a middle blocker from Shinzen.
While him and Tobio stayed quiet for the most part, Chigaya and Komori kept on talking about anything that came to their minds.
"Kageyama, you have been a lot on your phone. A secret lover or something?" Komori teased, causing the said boy to quickly look up from his device.
"Huh? I didn't know you were dating." Chigaya commented, surprised by Komori's words, meanwhile Sakusa kept quiet as he ate his lunch.
"No...this is just my sister texting me. She usually does that when going home alone."
"Ah (Y/n)? How is she doing? I am surprised they didn't invite her as a manager."
Chigaya commented, remembering the younger twin from the Tokyo training camp.
"Sister?" Komori wondered as Sakusa looked over at the two.
"Yeah, she is my younger twin and one of Karasuno's managers. I need to call her, sorry." Tobio quickly got up from his seat and went to the hallway.
"I didn't take Kageyama to have a twin, he seems kind of a loner." Komori commented.
"Really? Didn't look like that back with Karasuno. But yeah, she is also really nice, helped out our manager as often as she could. But is pretty quiet." Chigaya said, recalling the memory of the girl.
"So pretty much a copy of Kageyama, except the nice part." Sakusa suddenly said, surprising the libero and middle blocker.
"Well... I guess. The two are both passionate about volleyball, I can say that. While he is more involved in the play on court, (Y/n) manages the tactics and tricks to confuse the other players. As far as I can remember, she came up with some of the tactics used on the court with Shiratorizawa."
That part caught Sakusa's attention, thinking that maybe he is finally on the right track on figuring out what made Karasuno so resilient against the elite school.
'I will have to watch some of their other matches...seems like there was a miracle force from outside, working for them.'
Sakusa thought, watching Kageyama approach their table.
"Ahh...I made a mistake of calling Kageyama over..." Komori commented as he watches his cousin glare at the said setter.
With all the teams arriving at Tokyo's Metropolitan Gymnasium,he did expect Kageyama to show up sooner or later, but not when Sakusa was already in a foul mood.
"Tobio, we need to go. Daichi-san will get upset if we make them wait for too long."
A girl's voice was heard from behind the libero, and he turned around to look at a fairly tall girl, clad in Karasuno's black tracksuit.
Komori blushed a little, finding the girl quite cute, not noticing
"Huh? Oh yeah, sorry (Y/n)." Tobio sounded, turning to look at his sister, who looked nervous with Komori's and now Sakusa's staring as well.
"Well anyways, good luck with your games today."
Tobio said his goodbye and followed his sister to where the rest of Karasuno were.
Sakusa kept looking at (Y/n) retreating figure, his heart beating a little faster than usually.
'So that's the person behind all of those tricks...' The black haired boy thought, then turning his attention to Komori.
The boy, to Sakusa's surprise and disdain, kept on looking at (Y/n)'s figure with a red face.
"What's with that look?"The ace grumbled.
"Kiyoomi...she is beautiful."
'She sure is...' Sakusa thought as he shrugged his shoulders, not liking the way his libero cousin talked about her.
'I need to know more about her!'
And a sure lot he did find out thanks to some of his connections with Fukurodani and Nekoma. The more he found out about her, the more some type of weird and unhealthy love grew in his heart.
Sakusa would do his best to attend as many games Karasuno had after the Nationals. Watchin (Y/n) grow from a shy girl who barely spoke, unless spoken to, into a girl not afraid to speak her mind when needed. While he was displeased with all the boys giving her attention, especially the orange haired boy, he will deal with it soon enough.
Sakusa had already a whole plan set, first he would get to know her, become friends, and he will slowly start isolating her from everyone. Then she will be his, and his only. But one thing he didn't take into account, was her getting close to Komori during the Nationals in their 3rd year, exchanging phone numbers when he wasn't paying attention. And with them both seeing each other less, he was less aware of the little meetings they would have, where Komori would either travel to Miyagi,or (Y/n) to Tokyo.
It was during the last match Karasuno had with his former school. They became a lot stronger, and placed 3rd this year. And while everyone was cheering for the players, Sakusa was watching (Y/n) congratulate her friends and calming the two younger managers down.
It was cute, she reminded him lot of a mother.
'How may kids could we have...maybe 5? That sounds like a good number, she will be so cute carrying my kids.' Sakusa sighed.
Komori looked over at his cousin, and with a heavy heart finally spoke up.
"You like (Y/n), don't you?"
The black haired college student jumped up at the statement and looked at his cousin, not saying a single word.
"Thought so..." Komori grumbled as Sakusa rolled his eyes.
"And if I am? What does it mean to you?"
There was a pregnant pause, and Sakusa stared at his cousin, who was clenching his fists, before he slowly looked up. And the look in Komori's eyes said everything he needed to know.
"Motoya-"
"(Y/n)...she and I have been going out for the past 6 months. And I am serious about her, I want to spend the rest of my life with this girl."
Sakusa felt his world shatter as he listened to Komori's words. His sweet, beautiful (Y/n)... going out with a germ like Komori?! He saw red, but kept his calm.
Komori got up as the people slowly walked away from the area, nobody paying much attention to them.
"With this, I am not asking for your forgiveness or anything, just... Have some respect and move on. One day, you will find someone who will love you...but (Y/n) is mine, got it?"
Sakusa clenched his fists as he finally spoke up.
"Why...why (Y/n)? You couldn't have picked anyone else?"
"I didn't realize your feelings for her till a month or two ago. The way you would bring her up from time to time and... the look you had on your face when she would show up for a second on the TV..." Komori sighed and looked down at (Y/n) again, his glare turning into a soft smile.
"I can understand why you like her, who wouldn't, but it has to stop. I want to bring her over to meet aunt and uncle one day. She is my dream girl."
Komori finished his speech and walked down the stairs to where (Y/n) was.
Sakusa, heartbroken and enraged watched as (Y/n) jumped into the Itachiyama alumni's arms, kissing him on the cheek.
Punching the seat in front of him, the black haired boy got up and walked into the closest washroom.
Since that day, Sakusa was just counting the days a slip up or a crack in the relationship would show, but nothing of those sorts happened. Eventually, Komori introduced (Y/n) to his and Sakusa's parents, the day that happened was his darkest one. She looked so angelic and... ethereal really, Sakusa wanted to yell how much he loved her and how much he deserved to be with her, but he needed to keep his calm. He needed to earn (Y/n)'s trust, because one day something might come up, and he will be there to hold her.
'Motoya...' Sakusa growled as all four glared at his form leading (Y/n) away from them.
"What's so special about your cousin,Omi? What could he possibly have that I don't?" Atsumu growled as they waited for their team to change.
Sakusa shrugged his shoulders, not having an answer either. There was nothing special about Motoya! Sure, he was a professional athlete, but so was he! A even better and more recognized one, so how (Y/n) could pick his annoying cousin was beyond him.
Bokuto kept quiet, the sight of (Y/n) and the libero kissing just killed his already bad mood, and now he just wanted to sit somewhere and cry.
"We need to do something!" Hinata spoke up, all the pent up jealousy, anger and lovesickness, that he built up over the years was killing him.
"And what would that be?" Sakusa wondered.
"Anything! Listen, there is no say if Komori will propose to (Y/n), all those gossip magazines and be himself keep hinting to it! We need to make him loom bad in (Y/n)'s eyes or else..."
Hinata shuddered at the thought of the love of his life marrying someone else.
Atsumu got up from the bench, smirking as an idea finally hit him.
"And I have the perfect plan. Omi, you and your cousin will have a nice long night out." Atsumu giggled as Sakusa looked at the setter in worry, but at this point he'd do anything to break those two up.

It’s day two of the interhigh national tournament and all four courts are still in the middle of a game.  Everything is lively, from the games on the court to the audience on the bleachers. The different cheers are loud and its echoes fill the gymnasium. It's almost distracting enough for Motoya to focus on the game in front of him when the crowd watching from another court is getting all riled up. He sits on the bleachers along with the rest of his team. Kiyoomi sitting right beside him. The game in front of them being Matsukawa Tech vs Inarizaki, barely in the middle of the second set.
Much like last year, the cheering on Inarizaki's side was grand and hostile. Motoya feels bad for everyone serving in Matsukawa, going through the unpleasant feeling of getting boo-ed at. It's already bad enough that they are six points behind Inarizaki but they seem to be catching up when a wall of their blockers scores, blocking a spike from Ojiro Aran no less.
He wanted to watch a little longer. After all, Inarizaki is a team Itachiyama has an eye on for many reasons. Matsukawa Tech also had their best server in the current rotation. As a libero, Motoya needs to understand how they play for him to know how to best receive. But, he'd like to drink something that isn't water before a game, maybe go to the restroom and wash up. It will save him from Kiyoomi's commanding scowl when he asked if he had washed his hands.
Motoya excuses himself. As he stand, Iizuna-san, who is sitting behind him, asks "where are you going?"
"I'm gonna try to find some Potari sweat and go to the restroom."
"Oh, I'll come with you. I actually want to see what they have on the t-shirt stalls."
"I'll come, too." Kiyoomi said, still focused on the game.
"You want to go to the restroom, too?" Motoya said, hinting it to something which Kiyoomi doesn't like by side-eyeing him.
"I want to see Shiatorizawa's match up close," his cousin coldly states.
Motoya scans the occupied courts, the match with Shiratorizawa is way on the other side. If they're quick on their feet, they won't mess much. Not feeling the need to tease his cousin any further, he waits for their captain and his cousin to stand and they all excuse themselves from their team as they walk out of the lined seats. Letting Iizuna-san lead the way. "Let's get going," he said to them.
"Who are Shiratorizawa up against?" Motoya asked, padding the pocket of his sports jacket, checking if he had left some money in them. It had enough money for a drink.
"It's Chikuida," Kiyoomi said, not a hint of enthusiasm for the mentioned team. They're not a powerhouse like Shiratorizawa or Itachiyama, nor are they newcomers to the national tournament.
"They're back this year?" Motoya said, somewhat excited. "Good luck to them I guess." And good luck is all he could wish for them. Much as he likes for the tables to turn to Chikuida's favor and for something fresh and new on the tournament brackets, he doubts they could actually beat Shiratorizawa, especially against Ushijima-san’s spikes. It is an exciting thought if they can. When they walk up to the game in question, it, too, is at its second set, which is already impressive given Shiratorizawa won both sets the day before. "Wow, they're even so far," Iizuna-san pointed to the scoreboard, displaying 10-11. In that moment, Chikuida scored from a spike from their opposite hitter sticking directly on the line, changing the score, 11-11.
They watched without seating on the bleachers and out of the way from where people were walking. The game flows with the two teams basically interchanging points, continuously neck and neck. Then, Chikuida is ahead of Shiratorizawa by four points. Kiyoomi leans a little closer. Motoya notices and he snickers a little. As per-usual, Sakusa Kiyoomi gets agitated at the possibility that another team is inching closer to the level of powerhouse schools.
Iizuna-san waves for Motoya to come with him then turns to Kiyoomi. "Sakusa, I'll go ahead with Komori. Be back in a minute."
Kiyoomi only nods in silence, attention still at the game. Motoya and Iizuna-san leave him in the spacious area among the audience of the Shiratorizawa vs Chikuida match. The two then split up when Iizuna-san headed to the t-shirt stalls to peruse.
The restroom came first before the vending machine, so Motoya goes there to wash his hand – wiping with his own handkerchief, of course – before buying a drink. Lucky for him, one of the machines has Potari sweat and it drops out without much trouble for him. As he walks, he snaps open the white cap of the bottle, deciding whether he should go back to Kiyoomi or look for Iizuna-san.
And then, the crowd suddenly grew densers, players, gymnasium staff, and the media staff merging in the hall. Their long strides became careful short walks not to add more hassle in the crampedness. Motoya does his best to move around everyone that comes in front of him from what he can tell, he’s getting closer to where he last saw Iizuna-san.
He keeps an open eye for the signature bright yellow of Itachiyama’s jersey in the crowd while closing the led of the bottle. Instead, Iizuna’s mint green hair is the first thing he spots. Motoya calls out to his captain as he waves his unoccupied hand though doesn’t seem to hear it. He moves forward through the crowd until he allows a pair of players to pass. Coming from a different direction, someone bumps into Motoya and the person yelps weakly. The collision has him losing grip of the bottle. As the person starts a half scream that's immediately cut when they catch it could hit the ground.
"Ah, sorry!" He quickly apologizes with his hands shyly reaching out to them, worried that he might have bumped into them somewhere inappropriate. The person stops and stands up right meeting his gaze. A player on the girls side of the tournament. She hands the bottle over. Her team uniform is white with dark green sleeves and a green number 11. She looks at him in shock, worry and apologetic, but she squints. Then, it instantly switches to a charming, wide smile that almost had her cheeks hide her eyes.
“OH HEY!” the girl chimes, less of a greeting and more of realization. Voice smooth and silky, mixed with a kind of bubbly friendliness. "You really do have round eyebrows! That's so cute!!"
Confusion came like being thrown a bucket of warm water on his back. His first reaction is to laugh in his befuddlement.
“Eh???” is all Motoyo could muster as he stands still and grip on the bottle getting firmer.
Then, there's giggling from beside the girl, players in the same uniforms as her, trying their best to hide their laughing and wheezing. They seem just as confused as to what just occurred and appear apologetic on her behalf. Their sweet and nice voices adds to Motoya’s embarrassment. Lucky for him, they are having secondhand embarrassment from teammate’s action underneath their laughter.
"That's what you say first?" The girl in number 5 said in disbelief, grinning from ear to ear as she teases her teammate. "Not even a ‘sorry’?" Said the girl with the number 8, who sounded more troubled despite being humored by it as well.
Someone with the jersey labeled number 2 steps forward, confident and concerned. Their vice-captain, he assumes. "I'm really sorry for my teammate here,” she starts, bowing to Motoya. “She doesn't know how to think before she opens her mouth."
He would have said ‘no worries’ or ‘ it's fine.’ But still a bit surprised from what's happening, Motoya’s words practically froze and he could hesitantly bow back while darting from one girl to the next assessing how many saw that. It did not help that they are all very pretty and they don’t seem offended by him.
“I’m sorry,” number 11 said. “Your arm’s not hurt, is it?” She speaks so kindly.
Motoya actually checks for pain. Nothing is really there other than a sting that will leave in a moment or two, so he shakes his head. “It’s alright. no harm done,” he said, trying to match her softness to appear not irritated, waving his arms to her to communicate not to pay no more concern over it.
Chuckling, number 5 says, “you really are something, huh? Calling the nation’s best libero ‘cute’.”
The mention of his appointed title was an arrow of panic in Motoya’s veins. They know him?! He screamed in his thoughts. What else do they know!?
"She's right though, you are pretty cute," bluntly said by number 12, hand on her chin as she eyes Motoya up and done. Her eyes hinting cheeky interest in him and he thinks something popped in his head. Getting called cute by a pretty girl once is flustering, but again by another girl? That's more than he thinks he can take. Motoya could feel two more degrees of heat up his face. What should he say after that?
“Um.. thanks?” Motoya said in appreciation while trying his damndest to not sound squeaky in front of these girls.
Number 11 turns to Motoya again and simply states, “I mean, you do look better in person,” effortlessly doubling down on her comment. They all laugh at her honesty to blatantly compliment him again.
“And taller,” added 5 and some of the girls shook their heads in agreement. Number 2 is the only one who does not join in, placing a hand over her face.
“Um, what's going on here?” Iizuna’s voice invades and takes everyone's attention, and he is with Kiyoomi. The question was more likely pointed to Motoya, but the vice captain of the girl’s team quickly raised her hand and bowed slightly to the two players. “I’m sorry. One of my teammates bumped into your libero and nearly dropped his drink,” she explained.
The other girls follow suit by apologizing to Motoya’s teammates. One by one, they bid the libero farewell. Saying ‘bye’ to Motoya teasingly with a sweet tune as they smile and wave.
“Good luck to you, guys,” formally said the vice-captain. Motoya and Iizuna-san return it.
11 waves to him.“Sorry again, Komori-chan.” Her voice still caught him off guard.
Motoya’s eyes last strays on the girl with number 9, who has been covering her laughter the entire time. She gives him an amused look as she smirks at Motoya then sends him a flirty nod. The gesture makes him want to hide his warm face.
He watches them all leave, almost in a trance. While Iizuna and Kiyoomi are left to ponder what they just walked into.
Suddenly, Motoya sharply turns to the two. Fists clenched and pumped. “GUYS!” He calls them. His cheeks and ears slowly turned to a shade of red. Eyes wide in nervousness, panicked, yet determined. A quivering smile.
“WE- WE’RE GOING TO WIN!!!”
“That is the goal,” Kiyoomi deadpans.
The two may not completely know what had happened but it must have been something enough to practically short-circuit his brain. It finally settles to Motoya that his heart is rushing.
Iizuna nervously laughs, "How about you drink that Potari of yours?"
Motoya does and he accidentally chugs down the entirety of the bottle.
“You good?” Iizuna asks, concern in
Motoya meekly says “yeah” but he doesn't believe him. With the Libero drinking a 500ml bottle, it leads all of them back to the restroom. Kiyoomi washes his hands again for good measure while Motoya does business, then washing his hands and face. Yet he is still flustered.
Returning with their one teammate several shades redder, Iizuna had to explain that It isn’t a fever or anything and his loose understanding of the situation that happened.
After that, Itachiyama won their match that day and the following matches after that up until the finals.
That little interaction Motoya had with the girls was long forgotten by the time they won the inter-high school tournament. To Iizuna, it's probably the strangest prophetic thing he has witnessed. He isn't superstitious, but it sure was funny to think that Motoya basically manifested their wins. Kiyoomi could care less. As for Motoya, little compliments placked in his brain and the memory of the event comes back to him clear as day. If he thinks a little too long about it, he’ll just steam his head up like a kettle.
