Wayne coming home after a night shift to see a monopoly board with a piece of paper over the top ‘DO NOT TOUCH. IMPORTANT EVIDENCE FOR ARGUMENT >:(‘ in a familiar hand writing. He also sees a mop of hair poking out of a blanket on the floor, soft snores whispering though the trailer.

Still barely in the front door, Wayne sighs to himself, starts to make his way to the bathroom but stops when the hall light lets a diffused glow in to the living room area. And there stands Steve Harrginton wrapped in a blanket, gives a soft ‘sorry wayne, we’re just going’. Wayne sets off to the bathroom again, g smiles when he hears the whispered conversation

‘Wh-? Steve? You still angry?’

‘Yeah, but I can’t sleep with you out here. Come on’

‘Okay’

He hears the soft footsteps retreating to Eddie’s room and knows the silly fight will blow up in the morning and just hopes he can sleep through the theatrics. He’s going to burn that board game. Or hide it at least

NOVEMBER. digging the first warm scarf out of the wardrobe. white chocolate. the scent of perfume still clinging to the leather strap of a wristwatch. steps echoing in empty hallways. trips to museums followed by endless discussions at a nearby café. short red nails and cold-flushed cheeks. morning pilates. sleek black notebooks filled to the brim. the hunt for the perfect turtleneck. paperbacks in paper bags. pumpkin soup. the glow of buildings washed in fog at night. powdery gourmand fragrances. knit sweaters and short skirts. green tea for a floral-fragrant wake up call during a long day. constantly fighting the dread armed with a full calendar.

have I ever talked about on here (probably) about how regardless of my own queer headcanons for marty, he almost definitely left 1955 with about everyone believing he was?

think about it.

truly weird kid comes into your small town looking for his "uncle" (who's at this point not so much considered mad scientist but just weird recluse, suspiciously unmarried... people talk) to live with him. he dresses and talks strange. then the most popular and beautiful girl in school falls for him and what does he do? flees from her and instead follows george mcfly around the same way she's pursuing him. kissing him felt "wrong" and he clearly was not into it, after giving a whole speech about having to act the way people expect. he hangs around school but isn't actually enrolled. he's obviously using a fake name. he disappears as suddenly as he arrived.

as soon as information and observations spread after his disappearance people piece together what they think is true: marty is a gay kid who got kicked out of their home when their parents found out and came here to temporarily live with this presumably also gay weirdo because maybe they're distantly related somehow until he found another living situation (or, as the 50s went, until he gave in and went back to his home pretending to be "normal"). it is honestly hard to come up with a more plausible explanation for marty's behavior and appearance in the 50s from the perspective of the characters.

Monthly Reset

Turn on some comforting music and get started. Do this at the very beginning of each month.

Clean out cameraroll

Get any receipts out of your bag/car/wallet and sort if they’re necessary to keep or not. Put them in a designated area.

Clean your bathroom cabinets and drawers out, wipe the mirror down and light a candle

Clean your closet. Get rid of anything you genuinely dont want anymore

Clean your gmail

Clean out your text messages

Delete any unnecessary apps/files you have saved

Write down/type out the passwords to any accounts you made recently

Tidy up your jewelry

Get rid of any random boxes / trash / unnecessary items in your home

Clean out your fridge

Skim over what goals you missed last month and add them to this months week one plan

Identify one to two bad habits and find good habits to replace them with

EX: Leaving items laying in random places TO “put it away, not down”

EX: Procrastinating dishes TO doing the dish as soon as you’re finished with it

Use the journal prompt : What were some things that upset you last month? Do you know why they upset you? How do you feel now? Name some positive things you did last month. Name two things you feel you did a good job on last month.

Use an anxiety/depression/self help app to relax

Write down 10 affirmations to start the new month

Change your phone’s wallpaper
