Things go from bad to worse nowadays

I may lose internet soon.

It's not my decision to make since I'm not paying for connection at all and I support it even if it sounds horribly lonesome for me.

Long story short our electric bill is high this time around and unfortunately coincides with another surgery that my dad is going to undertake to fix his eyesight. (2 out of 3 surgeries if I'm correct) My dad is still the only one working. My mom may as well be disabled. I went to graduate so I could look for a medical coding job only to find out that I was misinformed by three different advisors at the college. I still have at LEAST one more class in the fall to take. (Furious does not begin to describe how I feel.)

I don't have a monetary goal in mind because it doesn't feel right to ask for money right after the laptop fundraiser but.... if you want me to draw something for money I could? It probably won't be big. Just icons, doodles, or maybe Final Fantasy Tactics style sprites. (I used to do those a LOT back in my deviantart days.) DM me for art examples.

Or I could write you a thing. I'm a way better writer than I am an artist. I dunno. I feel awful even asking-- but if I have to choose between my pride and having my needs/wants met... I choose the latter.

I've been trying to get this around as much as possible, but idk exactly how well things will go tbh. We have been having car troubles lately and needed to get some required fixes so our household can actually go to work and get groceries and do what we need to do to get by. While we've gotten some repairs done we are in desperate need of money to finish said repairs, and even then we are gonna be left in a very tight money situation once that's done, one that's got us all scared about how much we'll be able to do with rent and food, let alone our medications. Any help would be appreciated, whether donating or even just sharing it around.

HELP URGENTLY NEEDED FOR JOBLESS DISABLED STUDENT

Since our lovely new execs have decided that the department I work for is redundant and to be shut down, I will be out of a job by the end of February. I’m currently in talks with a lawyer to help me figure out what the best way forward would be here. However, until I am (hopefully) granted advisory assistance, I’ll have to pay these costs in advance, which is 190€ an hour (proof, although in German, can be provided). Not to mention that I desperately need money for tuition for the upcoming semester (to be paid by January 15th). Believe me, I am deeply ashamed and distraught to have to do this, but I don’t know how else to cover these particular costs. Finding a job as a disabled person (again, proof can be provided) without a driver’s license and on such short notice while studying is near impossible. Every single Euro counts, I do wholeheartedly mean that. To cover the aforementioned costs, I currently need an estimate of 500€ (for tuition and legal fees). I'm so so very sorry... but I'm really short on money right now. This month I pretty much spent it all on doctor visits, medications and therapy. PSA: For people in Europe and North America

If you’re struggling with cost of living, food insecurity/financial problems, I highly recommend checking out the app TooGoodToGo !!! You can search for places in your area - restaurants AND SOME GROCERY STORES - that you can buy basically the food they didn’t sell that day for a massive discount! For restaurants, this is a great way to try out some new spots and get some variety of food without spending a lot of money, but getting groceries on here could save you a good chunk of what you need for the week. Plus, you’re taking food that is still good and stopping it from just being thrown out, reducing food waste and helping the planet! The stuff you get is kind of random potentially since it’ll be whatever the place sells that would’ve gone to waste, but you can filter down to search for vegetarian/vegan or specific places and types of food! I’m not sure exactly where all it will be available/useful but if you live in a city area there’s a good chance to find places in your area. I recently got a grocery bag through there for the first time: I paid £3 and got a massive bag filled with about 15 kohlrabi, a small bag of green beans, 2 small heads of lettuce, a big bags of potatoes, some dried mango bites, and two whole melons - probably would’ve been about £15-20 to buy all that at normal store price. Everything was pretty much right at it’s sell by date but is still perfectly okay to eat and has lasted 3 days in the fridge so far (besides what I cooked + ate already). Great way to get some produce and possibly bread/pastries cheap because that’ll be what often reaches its expiration date without being sold. Huge money saving way to add some decent healthy food to your meals! Hope this can help some people, time’s are tough so take care of yourselves however you can ❤️

Hello! My name is Alex (He/They)! I currently live in Utah and I’m hoping to move to Ohio with a really good friend of mine. I’m transgender and disabled, so Utah really isn’t the safest option for me right now, especially with the plethora of anti-trans bills being passed.

America isn’t really the safest in general, but my mental and physical health would be much better if I could move to be with friends instead of staying here. Especially since my parents and some of my extended family aren't very accepting and don’t treat me very well. They don’t use my correct pronouns and it was a fight to get them to use the correct name. They also heavily discourage medically transitioning, but I need to for my mental health to get better. I’m super heavily depressed and dysphoric because of how I look.

My parents are also quite emotionally abusive and most days I get afraid it will turn physical. It’s quite a lot and I would rather not put all the details of the abuse up, though if anyone wants to hear more about my situation before they donate I’m sure we can work something out. Anyways! I worked out that I would need roughly $35,000 for expenses to cover medical costs I may have, moving, getting a plane ticket, getting furnishings like a bed, plates, cups, silverware, etc for the apartment (I can’t bring anything with me from home, I worry that I would be prevented from leaving should I announce anything or give anything away) and surviving until I’m able to get a job to help provide for it.

If anyone is able to donate anything, even $5, that would mean the world to me as it would finally mean I am one step closer to getting safe. Thank you for listening to my story and helping me out. I understand if you can’t donate though. Not everyone can or wants to! If you can’t donate, sharing this would be oh so very helpful and it would mean just as much to me as if you did donate.

Fuck DWP and the benefits system. It’s so ducked up. Can’t have more than £6000 in savings or my benefits start to go down, so how am I ever supposed to save for anything? This includes having an ISA where the money can only be used to buy a house or for retirement.

I mean, I get they can only do so much and stuff, but the way everything is laid out is just so fucked up. It takes forever to even get benefits and a lot of people who need the give up trying to get them because it’s so damn difficult and there’s so many hoops to jump through.

I want to start my own business to try and earn a little so I don’t have to completely rely on benefits, but apparently the business account amount also counts towards my savings, which is ridiculous to me because it’s not my money, it’s the companies money. Sure, I own the company, but the money in that business account would purely be for reinvesting in the business, for buying more stock and materials. If the money were to be transferred to my personal account then it’d be mine, cause it’d be my wages, not that it would even be much. I just think it’s stupid.

Then there’s the fact that when I’m able to move in with my boyfriend, I don’t get treated as a separate person. It won’t be my savings only that affect my benefits, it’ll be our savings so I probably won’t get anything at all, which is insane because I can’t expect my boyfriend to pay for absolutely everything, all by himself. I need to be able to split the bills, especially since the majority of power used will be used by me since I’m always home. I need to be able to help pay for the food we eat and for my own stuff like my toiletries and any kind of entertainment I use to get me through the day so I’m not mindlessly staring out the window depressed all day because I can’t work. I can understand they want to take your partners earnings into account, but I should still be treated as an individual person. Sure, if I were to move in with a millionaire, done give me benefits, because as much as I’d like to be able to pay my own way with stuff it would be ridiculous to claim benefits while being with someone rich who can afford to pay for everything, even if you should be able to pull your own weight, which you would be doing if you were able to work properly. Unfortunately my boyfriend is not a millionaire (though I wouldn’t change a thing, I love him to pieces), and therefore will not be able to pay for everything all by himself. If I don’t get any benefits and I struggle running my own business, either in terms of sales or I’m terms of energy to keep it running in order to make anything to sell, then I’m stuck with nothing coming in and having to rely solely on my boyfriend, and that’s so unfair.

We need to be able to save for a house so we can live together. We need to be able to have savings in case anything goes wrong, like the boiler breaks or we have to pay for something in an emergency. We need to be able to pay for food, to pay the bills, to pay for the car for getting around, to pay for insurance etc. There’s so much stuff you have to pay for, and to have two people relying on one income that is only suitable for one person isn’t right.

Sorry, rant over, I just had to complain somewhere. Money is stressing me out and I’m worrying about the future and how we’ll manage everything. I want to enjoy the now but I’m just so stressed about the future and trying to plan things out it’s just not going that way at the moment. Fingers crossed my health improves and I can either get a normal job again or I can have enough energy to make my business a success and actually earn decent money to contribute to everything we want to pay for in the future.

Wishing everyone well and hoping things improve for everyone asap, especially for people struggling with their health, money, any struggles they’re currently facing tbh. I wish the world were a better place.

Got a couple of new listings up on eBay! First is a copy of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance CIB (has been tested and is in very good condition). The second is the complete collection of Bravely Default games for the Nintendo 3DS & Switch. All games have been tested and are working perfectly, and all have their original cases.

I also have a HTTYD Razorwhip NIB, a pair of new English Riding boots, size 6 (36 for non-Americans), which I wore for about 5 seconds before realizing they were too tall for my short little hobbit legs, a copy of The Brightest Fell by Seanan McGuire (I somehow ended up with two copies of it), and a G4 MLP Ice Cream Stand playset, NIB.

I'm hoping to have some more games up for sale once I finish testing them, plus I'm still going through my various collections of My Little Ponies, Monster High dolls, and action figures and deciding which ones I want to sell and which ones I want to keep. Money is getting tighter again so I'm gonna have to step it up and get some more stuff listed ASAP.

Folks, I really need some help right now. This is not a joke, not a scam, I legitimately need help.
