i’m pepper/paprika, i’m a fictive of pepper from pepper’s playhouse (roblox) and i am part of a DID system known as the comatose cottage. i use they/it/she. i am not the same as my source material. i share this blog with the host of our system, and will occasionally refer to ourselves using the pronouns ‘we/us/our/etc’ depending on if we’re in a state of cofront together (which is often). the host goes by the name howdy/sil and the pronouns it/they/he.

one of my favorite (sarcasm) university assignments so far was when my professor asked us to examine and compare the use of proxemics and distemics (not words anyone should rlly know) in a book and also apply it to real life at university. during zoom college. sir. proxemics is the study/word for how close you stand to people and what that distance is supposed to signify. and distemics (which is not a real word, by the way) is how people interact w each other in regards to space in a public place. and he asked us to apply it to ZOOM college. it is arguably one of the least useful pieces of knowledge i have stuck in my brain

#i hated this prof w a fiery passion #he was condescending and rude from say one #we had to do an introduction post #i did my stupid lil introduction #(which was like 6 sentences long btw) and this fucker goes: congratulations! you tied for the shortest answer.#it was SUCH an asshole thing to say and immediately set the tone for the rest of the class #i was like ??? if you care about word count then set a word limit. i answered every single question and i did it concisely #in what world does length determine wit or clarity #and then when i showed up to class #he asked a question and i answered and i quoted from the story without knowing the page number #but i was correct and the quote was correct (plus the story was like 12 pages it wasnt a big deal plus there was context clues)#and instead of replying to the answer or the topic at hand he was like 'you should always know the page number and paragraph.'#which is like bro youre not even teaching #like damn next time i wont fuckin answer and you can have your zero participating students #anyway i left the class literally 30 seconds after that bc i was just like. uh? no? attendance isnt mandatory and if ur gonna act like that #then bye!#also he gave me Bs on papers where i actually read the book and As on papers where i didnt #so i was just like. u literally have no clue what ur doing so whatever #for the final we were supposed to randomly have our draft posted and we had to review 2 other ppls #which is one of my least favorite things #and so i just turned in my final paper bc i just needed to pass not a grade #and he emailed me and was like 'ill allow you to re submit your final paper afterwards'#no buddy thats it. thats all ur getting.#anyway i passed the class and fuck him #plus he would use my deadname whenever he didnt like what i did but jordan when he did #i am not a dog i do not respond to that shit dude #i really hated that guy #fuck u!#jordan v academia

𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃!𝐓𝐎𝐉𝐈 who cooks and cleans for you while you’re away, always sure to tidy behind himself in aid of the mess afterwards. He’d bake sweet treats for you— puff pastries coated in whipped cream that he’d flick against your nose; cinnamon ripe in the air.

Toji loved showing off; loved introducing new recipes before you’ve had time to grasp the former, springing combinations of mystery flavors upon your palette whilst never failing to satiate your picky tendencies. That man loved you— dearly.

He hadnt cared what anyone said about his infatuation with providing for you after your worrisome workdays; nor did he listen to the bitter chirps of defiance against his choice to do so. Toji was a man of caliber, in his.. newer life, having decided to turn a leaf for his partner. Change was not easy, but mandatory.

Your agitated 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐇𝐔𝐒𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃!𝐓𝐎𝐉𝐈 who’d stare straight ahead— eyes glued to the lifeless scenery outside of your office building, his chest heaving in silent rage as he struggled to contain his disgust. It was bad enough you worked with these men— sleaze balls and weirdos abundant, but Toji couldn’t handle watching one fondle you.

He’d remain silent on the drive home as his nails dug fierce crescents into the hide of the steering wheel, his knuckles pale. Toji would only chuckle at your attempts to reconcile and comfort the situation— “My boss,” this, and “Don’t make a scene” that, bullshit he didn’t need to hear. Your husband would roll his eyes deep into his skull as a sign of irritation, his revulsion oozing from his stature.

Toji would slug himself into the house, lugging his body underneath him as if it was a chore to do so; as if he were at his peak. His footsteps were exaggerated and heavy against the hardwood of your shared apartment. “Ji,” You’d finally breathe, slicing the suffocating tension rising within the room. “You have to talk to me!”

Toji would seldom raise his voice in an attempt to be understood, but his anger was brimming— and every second you stood within his sights, the more agitated he would grow. Your conversation would gradually shift from passive aggressive remarks to an unnecessary quarrel, your voices pitched in infuriation; veins protruding from the males tense neck. “Are you even listening to me?” You’d groan, “I’m not responsible for my supervisor's actions, Toji.”

Prior to entering the bedroom alongside Toji– rather, slung haphazardly over his shoulder as you were carried into the bedroom by Toji– you had assumed the inessential argument would resolve itself over dinner; shrimp alfredo, being Toji’s favorite dish, that he’d slaved over the stove preparing for a roughly estimated forty minutes, presenting his fiancé with the warm plate of noodles. To which you would kiss him upon his cheek, thanking him greatly– “Thank you, Jiji,”— before burying your face within the meal, the tension engulfing you dissipating with every lump of food that coasted your throat.

You imagined the gleam in his eyes, watch it appear again as he’d gaze at you in admiration– “How lucky I am to have such an amazing husband,” You’d ponder, returning the man a bashful grin as your tongue swiped away the sauce that escaped from your forkful of pasta. The alfredo sauce would amble down your lip, and you'd bring your finger to your mouth to catch the dribble that your tongue couldn't. Your finger would slip past the curtains of your lips– savory warmth lingering upon your tastebuds.

Your finger wouldn't push past the bumps of your tongue– forcing their length into the recesses of your throat until you were gagging around them. But Toji’s fingers would. Unforgivingly, all at the expense of your completely empty stomach. All fairytales and daydreams thrown out the window.

“Take them deeper,” He’d order, one hand sheathed completely inside of your mouth, the other tugging handfuls of hair opposite of the force of his fingers. “And thank me for putting you in your fucking place.”

Your eyes would tear harshly, the cool air of the fan blades blowing directly into your face– handiwork of yours truly. Regardless of how difficult it’d be for you to catch your breath with his fingers invading your caverns, he wanted to make things harder for you.

He wanted you to be winded; just like he was when he witnessed another man grope his partner– to which they leisurely dismissed with a shrug of their shoulders; that took the breath from his lungs.

So it’d be your turn.

Chokes and broken sobs would fill the room, your lips stretched uncomfortably around the width of your lovers hand– his entire hand. “Thganks–youhghh” You’d gag around him, and hed laugh at your pitiful attempt to speak to him. How ridiculous you looked beneath him, choking around his fingers as your tears crusted along the smoothness of your cheeks. Already so messy and he hadn’t even reached the main event.

Toji wouldn’t care about the dryness of your throat– or how quickly the oscillating fan would evaporate every drop of saliva you struggled to create for yourself. He wouldn’t care about the way you’d wriggle above his knee in an attempt to escape the torture that was Toji’s revenge, he’d only remove the hand yanking your hair in place and slap a heavy palm against the bareness of your reddened asscheek. “Again.” He’d order, and you'd moan and gag upon his digits until your vocal chords were straining for relief.

He’d be sure you knew your place below him; and he'd make sure the marks upon your skin were enough for others to know, too.

Before I talk a LOT (I'm not joking, A LOT)

About this au, how I stumbled upon the idea, story and all in a rushed format,

CUT TO RAMBLINGS

Excellent.

It started with me thinking and wondering about a specific fic that is unrelated to this post, frankly different fandom, and I was wondering how it would play out in a movie format, but seeing as the fic in question currently is unfinished and won't be for a while I decided to direct my attention to other fandoms, got to DCA fandom, came up with a few cute ideas i didn't write down for unfinished fics, for the record I do think it would be interesting if Solar Lunacy was a musical just saying, and then I started to think about ok what fics ARE fini-

SLEUTH JESTERS HECK YEAH

Unfortunately at the moment I don't have any digital sketches to share for some of these points and the sketches I do have are pretty messy SO I'LL JUST RAMBLE cause I already wrote down a lot of these separately

Firstly, I imagine this kind of musical being in universe kind of au. Possibly an extension of the Actor AU where the original media (tv show? movie?) got so popular it got a musical adaptation

I imagine the actual music, whether the songs or just sound track, would be heavily inspired by Jazz or smthn. Like, the genre of music most popular during the time period Sleuth Jesters is in ish. It would still be musical-like but you can tell the genre they are going for

And before continuing, to get around not actually saying "y/n" on stage cause that might be a little awkward MAYBE there could be some kind of special sound affect for the actors mics that the audience knows is y/n's name?? Half baked tho

COSTUMES

Sun, Moon and Eclipse (at least) would have highly decorated masks to match the original just added onto because they are on stage. Masks, so that there are more options for who to cast. To make up for this, the actors have to make it clear in their body language to make up for lack of expression

in productions with higher budget mayhaps one function could be the eyes have options for what emotion they could express

In most productions there will be sound effects in the background that mimic the noise that Sun Moon and Eclipse make as they move. Or at least be incorporated into the sound track ooooo

Y/n's clothes would have an easy to notice difference in quality compared to the DCAs, which makes the bell and ribbons much more noticeable on stage

Smaller note but I think y/n's make up could be kind of fun with how they show the y and n on their face

Would probably have a wig colored various shades of silver but not required

FIRST SONG FIRST SONG FIRST SONG

Would be the introduction (of course) and depict the first chapter and likely have something to do with "Until Next Time". I think possibly it would have little breaks in the song to fit in the dialogue

Honestly, in an adaptation there might just be more scenes added between the earlier chapters to fill in points in time or smthn

OR (the answer I like better) The first act uses time between chapters to fill in reader watcher on backstories or past's of characters

Actually yeah little hints would be packed in the first half

Any other songs could be filled in for the boys or y/n that could have the potential to return as a Reprise

Now listen Mandatory Eclipse Villain song(s)

this is not optional

Duets Duets DUETS

One duet could be between characters that are foils or mirror each other but it's one of those duets that have different lyrics that still match up musically

Particularly I think the latter could be used for Sun and Moon's complicated relationship with Eclipse but not completely sure where that would be, probably second half, speaking of which...

ACT ONE ends in the chapter that Y/N has to return the favor to Eclipse, where he crashes the party and they go with him, reassuring Sun and Moon that they allways can wiggle out of situations

REPRISE OF THE FIRST SONGGGGGG

Until Next Time Reprise

Which will have a moment of silence after, showing their mutual understanding yet make it perfectly clear sun and moon don't want to do resort to this

Doesn't last to long as it proceeds with the sound track DROPPING in tone as Eclipse stuffs y/n into the car, that is actually just a prop that leads to the back stage

FADE TO BLACK INTERMISSION

ACT TWO (any major costume changes or forever hold your piece) I think would start off with Sun and Moon's dilemmas first before getting back to y/n

WHICH would likely cut to y/n maybe already in the burgundy shirt but meh that's not solid

I think the way Eclipse gives them the burgundy ribbon and bell could be changed in an adaptation of the story since it would be easier I imagine to show it later than in a car set piece

(Admittedly I have to reread these specific chapters to know specifically the order) But when Eclipse drops the bombshell he knows their past, and I think he leaves them alone for a bit after that, SONG TIME (though song could still happen with him there honestly)

Something similar to the theme "I thought I burned everything" and would just

And after that likely more backstory could be cut to depending on what it is and how relevant it is at that point. WOuld be much grimmer in tone but hey it's the second act.

Though if this opportunity is taken, this could be reprised later when Y/N proposes to the boys, with the necklaces to show being more comfortable with their past

More song opportunities with Y/N's trust issues, Sun and Moon's brother issues, etc

Final act-ish, where y/n first runs away after Sun and Moon "find out" and from there would have more focus on the score than any songs that could be fit into that small frame.

My thoughts went kind of to Heather's Dead Girl Walking Reprise and then Veronica and JD's tussle toward the end if songs got implemented there

AND OF COURSE The moment of Eclipse's death is really what makes me think this would be adapted into a musical in universe

Because it does kind of fit the bill for being tragic

You feel bad enough for what could have been

But also remember "Nah that bitch deserves it"

But also.. it's sad

PERFECT FOR MUSICAL ENDING

After proposal, there is possibility to do a QUICK little glance into the future at the end, not unlike Dear Evan Hansen's ending, but maybe not

Ok now Applause section!!

Freddie and Gregory would bow together

I forgot to mention earlier, but the character that is revealed to be a spy for Eclipse at the police station I'd imagine would have hints on their clothing (like burgundy) that would foreshadow their side

Eclipse would bow by himself, flaunty as ever, yet you can still kind of tell the actor is kind of a sweetheart

Sun and Moon would enter, bow together and then welcome Y/n

Who would get to bow on their own, then with Sun and Moon

Then the rest of the cast is welcomed

How the arrangement would go from left to right I was thinking

Law Enforcement and basic background cast making up crowds, Freddy, Gregory, Sun, Y/N, Moon, Eclipse, Michael, Other Aftons and Spy, rest of Law Enforcement and basic background cast making up crowds

“Why are we even here?”

At the front of the room, The Grizzled Tesraki Bridge officer took his seat. One of his ears was partially mangled, and his dark Ochre fur stuck up in strange places only adding to his grizzled appearance.

In the front row, the young Tesraki that had spoken tapped a foot impatiently against the floor.

The room was filled with new recruits to an asteroid mining cooperation in the Quadinspira galaxy. There were More than a dozen bored looking Tesraki, a Rundi or two and even, to everyone’s surprise, Four Vrul, who had only just begun appearing in the private sector after the downfall of their current government in a surprising coup . The front row also boasted a finnari or two and the odd gibb, though no one expected it to last very long.

“Look, the less questions you ask, the sooner I can get through this presentation.” The grizzled tesraki rubbed his mangled ear, “Corporate has made this a mandatory introduction course, and for once I tend to agree with that decision.”

“Seems more like a waste of time to me.” Someone muttered.

The grizzled tesraki’s head jerked to the side following the muttered comment, “I may have a bad ear, but that doesn’t mean I’m deaf.” The entire class shifted nervously at the tesraki’s strange behavior. The average Tesraki wasn’t nearly so confrontational.

He crossed his arms again, “have any of you ever met a human.”

There was a pause around the room, but no hands were raised.

The Tesraki snorted, “Than that is exactly why you are here because corporate thinks, rightly, that you should have some warning before you go into an environment with humans. Otherwise, you're setting yourself up to get a mangled ear.” The entire class was paying attention now, trying very hard not to stare at the Tesraki’s mangled ear.

“Did…. did a human….”

The tesraki stomped his foot on the ground in amusement before letting off a sound that was oddly similar to a strangled bark. The group glanced around at each other nervously, “You’ll get used to it.” The tesraki muttered before leaning back against the wall, “No, a human didn’t take my ear off, it got messed up in an industrial accident, and in fact, a human is the only reason I am alive right now. Those bastards have incredible reflexes when they want, but my point is that humans CAN and HAVE done these sorts of things to people, and it is my job to make sure you pay attention to the training we are about to give you.” He turned towards his desk and tapped a button on the tabletop dimming the lights and starting up a holoprojection at the front of the room.

The darkness was momentarily broken by a greenish loading screen before a video flipped on.

The image was of a mostly nondescript brownish gray vrul with prismatic orange eyes sitting calmly at a desk facing the camera. The little banner under the video read.

Dr. Krill Chief of Surgery at Arcadia Noxumber Hospital: Human Anatomy Expert.

The little vrul shifted in his seat, “So, you plan on working with humans.” He nodded slowly to himself, “Well before you begin, I have been asked to give a little presentation to ensure the safety of you and all of your nonhuman colleagues.” The video switched to be replaced by an interactive medical diagram of a human in question, “A human is a sentient omnivorous predator species from the quad inspira galaxy hailing from a class A death planet. Due to the hostility of their home environment, it has become clear, that conflicts in a cross species workplace can become dangerous for any nonhuman worker.”

The diagram flashed, “While humans generally tend to be a docile and social species, capable of getting along with anyone they come in contact with, it is important to remember that the human need for survival is more heavily ingrained in them than it is in us, for this reason, humans may respond violently or unpredictably to situations they find threatening or unfamiliar. Their emotions are prone to changing rapidly and sometimes violently, though this is the exception to the rule.”

The diagram vanished, turning itself back to Dr. krill, “I cannot teach you everything there is to know in this short video, but I Can give you a crash course on some knowledge you are going to want to have if you interact with humans, and that is….” The screen flashed again, and the next image that showed up was a close up headshot of a human.

The image was so startling that some of the students jumped a little in their seats, distrubed by the strange expression, the predatory forward facing eyes, and the rubbery lips pulled back from a wide array of glittering white teeth.

“Human body language, most importantly human facial expressions are going to be some of the most important aspects of your nonverbal interaction with humans. Humans have the most mobile face out of almost any species on earth. There are 43 muscles in the human face alone, and are specifically designed for social communication with other humans. Additionally the enlarged whites of the eyes serve to allow other humans to more easily read their eye movements.

This expression you see here is a common facial expression you might see on humans, and one that you should be pleased to see. The human smile is unique among sentient species and unique among their own primate cousins. The smile actually evolved from the “fear expression.”

Another image flashed on screen, of a very similar expression, lips pulled back over flashing teeth, but this time the eyes were wider, where in the other image they were somewhat scrunched, causing little wrinkles to radiate from the edges of the eye.

“Historically speaking, the “fear” expression was also used as a sign of submissiveness towards more aggressive members of a human pack. By showing this expression humans might have helped to avoid conflict. Over time this expression evolved somewhat to indicate that the human has friendly intentions, using a “submissive” expression to indicate that they are not intending to be dangerous. Note the differences between the “fear” face and the “smile”. A smile might result in the closing of the eyes, or squinting, which would reduce the functionality of the human’s primary sensory organ, vision, while the fear face opens the eyes wider to allow in more light and increase the usefulness of the primary visual system. I must note here that a human can “Fake” a smile, but if the muscles around the eyes don’t move, it is likely to be a fake smile. Additionally it is important to remember body language in context, a smiling human will open up their body in a submissive way, holding their arms out, exposing their chest, lifting their chin to expose the throat, while an afraid human will curl in on themselves, lift their shoulders, and lower their chin. Additionally, they are likely to lift their hands to protect their face.

Another image appeared on screen, this time it was a similar image, but somehow more unsettling than the first two. The teeth were still showing, but this time they were more obvious, and the eyes, while squinted were turned down so far that the skin around the nose wrinkled, “Smiling or fear should not be confused, with a snarl, which is an aggressive facial expression you are unlikely to see on a human unless they are incredibly angry. You see the teeth are still pulled back, but the lips are pulled thin, the brows are dropped low to protect the eyes, and the muscles around the nose are punched inward. The snarl may be preceded by an angry face.”

The slide flipped again and this time, the image was of a human with its mouth closed, usually full lips were pulled tight into a thin line and almost inverted. The chin was down and the nostrils were flared. The brows were pulled tight together, and the eyes were wide and staring. The room shifted nervously, “It is best to avoid a human if you see this face, lips pulled thin, with such an intense stare. Humans don’t generally tend to hold eye contact for long periods of time. If a human is staring at you with this much intensity, it is often going to be a bad sign, and it is best to move.”

The screen flipped again, to show a row of a few more expressions, “It is best to differentiate human expressions that are happy and angry for your own safety, but here are a few quick examples of other expressions. Disgust”

The screen flashed.

A human with lips pulled back, though the expression was uneven, the head was slightly turned away, and the nose was wrinkled.

“Contempt.”

Eye contact, one side of the mouth pulled up, lips slightly pressed together.

“A human that shows contempt towards you is not necessarily going to be violent, but it might be best to move departments if you can.”

“Sadness”

Corners of the mouth turned down, eyebrows turned up in the middle instead of down.

“Other than facial expressions, there are a few human vocalizations that may be beneficial for you to hear.”

The room was filled with a sound it was almost impossible to describe, it was like a screech but done in short sharp bursts. Multiple sound clips were played and all the sounds were different, but contained a similar repetitive pattern. It was a strange and unnerving noise to stay the least, “Believe it or not, this is one of the best sounds to hear coming from a human. It's called laughter, and usually means they find something entertaining. If you make a human laugh it's generally considered a god thing, though it can often be used in certain situations to break tension.”

“Those of you with sensitive ears may want to cover them for this next sound, because if you hear it you will likely want to run. This is a human’s warning/distress call and may indicate danger.”

The Tesraki clamped their hands over their ears just in time for the room to be filled with a soul rattling screech that made everyone in the room flinch, and the desks to vibrate. Multiple clips were played, over and over again, terrified screeching like tortured animals, sometimes translation equipement even picked up words.”

“HELP! HELP! HELP ME!” The words devolved into incoherent screaming that left the entire room shaken when it faded,

“Generally indicates fear, or pain, and can be a warning for other social species to leave, or even call for aid. Oddly enough a human will not require a class to learn our facial expressions, as they are incredibly socially intuitive on most occasions. Again I must remind you that humans are not inherently violent, and that aggression only happens rarely, statistically speaking, But I am still eager to caution you.”

The video flashed back to the doctor who was leaning against his desk now, “At all costs it is your mission to make friends with the humans, iIt is extremely beneficial to both parties, and speaking as someone who has many human friends, I am likely in one of the safest locations in the galaxy, so be safe, remember these tips I have given you, and good luck.”

AMP-GUIDES: GETTING STARTED WITH RPing OCs IN THE RPC

Pointers for new or first-time OC players looking to get the ball rolling with writing original characters on Tumblr.

► First off: why make a post like this?

...Because original characters in the RPC (particularly ones who AREN'T fandom OCs, who instead belong to their own original universe) don't have the starting boost of having an existing fandom behind them. They don't set out already recognisable to other players, so it can sometimes be a little tougher to drum up engagement.

► Tip #1: Make your OC easy to know

Two things to keep in mind when trying to get an OC blog out there: 1: nobody knows your character except you. Ergo, 2: ...it's your number one objective to make your OC knowable and interesting to your hopefully-future-RP partners! People visiting your blog should have a way to quickly find out the basics of your character and what makes them tick. Keep in mind that having too much information can sometimes be as big of a roadblock to interaction as not having enough. Long bios documenting your OC's entire life-story can be useful to have around, but may be better to have in addition to a shorter and more succinct bio that neatly introduces the core concept of your muse. When you go hunting for a new book at the library or bookshop, do you dive into every book you pick up straight from page 1? Or do you check out the blurb first, to see if the plot even sounds interesting to you? Your muse doesn't need fancy powers or tragic backstory to be interesting, but regardless of if your OC is the plainest everyman or a secret superhero, you still have to let us see what makes it worth getting to know them. Make sure your pages contain the most basic of basics, such as name, gender (or just pronouns), age, and basic physical details, as well as where your muse comes from/what their world is like, a cursory introduction to their personality, and what they're up to at this point in their life. Establishing a setting and any goals can offer hooks for interactions with other muses. Other things that can be helpful are rundowns of their likes and dislikes, their positive/negative/neutral traits, and information on their strengths or weaknesses, or even the places you'd be most likely to find them.

► Tip #2: Consider visuals

Faceclaims, icons, and fancy graphics are NOT mandatory to finding your OC's niche and having a good time in the tumblr RPC...but they can be nice to have around, and some players feel they can connect easier to OCs when they have a visual aid to help visualise your character. Even if you don't plan on using icons, having just one good quality image for your OC's bio can go a long way. But again: it's optional, so don't sweat it too much.

► Tip #3: Shop around for fandoms with themes or settings similar to your OC's

Is your OC is from a fantasy background? Sci-fi? From a version of our own world? When you're getting started trying to find writing partners, you may find you're most likely to be successful reaching out to muses from canons that fit together well with what you're going for with your own OC. This doesn't mean you can't also shoot for cross-genre interactions, of course, but seeking out muses from fictional worlds similar to your own can be a good place to start.

► Tip #4: Showcase your OC in action

Even if you're not writing threads just yet, in-character posts, open starters or short drabbles can all be a good indicator for newcomers of how your character interacts with others and with the world. Remember: nobody knows your character yet, so something that gives others a hint of your character's vibe can be useful for sparking interest in them. Writing short headcanon posts can be used to the same effect, as they can be a helpful and fun way to both flesh our who your muse is as a person, and to introduce tidbits about your character that don't necessarily come up in a bio section...which can offer more interesting lore about your muse and help other players identify things your characters might either bond or bicker over.

► Tip #5: Don't forget about your fellow OCs

Don't be a stranger! If you know what a slog it can be to build traction for an OC blog then it makes sense to extend a little energy to your fellow OCs in the community. Take the time to check over other OC players' blogs, see if you might find their character interesting, or maybe even take a chance if you're on the fence...you can always unfollow later if you decide your play styles or your muses don't gel.

► Tip #6: Don't get discouraged

OCs can have a harder time in fandom heavy RPCs. It's just a natural expectation of not having the "brand recognition" and pre-existing affection that canon muses frequently do. Some OCs have an easier time taking off than others, but don't give up if yours comes up on a slow start. If you're passionate about your muse and are willing to be a little patient, you'll find your crowd! If you ARE struggling to find people to write with, maybe shop around different promo tags and fandoms, and audit your OC's pages again to make sure that there's enough to draw folks in and that you're selling what makes them unique and engaging. OCs can sometimes take a little more work than canon muses to get out there, but don't listen to anyone who tells you the RPC doesn't like OCs or that they can't be really successful out here. It's true that writing an OC often necessitates being the one to reach out first, but it's a rewarding experience, and you'll be surprised how many people will be enthusiastic to get to know your muse and will grow to love them in time.

Ending a colonial-apartheid regime is not, and cannot be, dependent on the will of the colonizers and oppressors. Moreover, colonialism and apartheid simply cannot end with the withdrawal of a colonial power or the shifting of borders so long as this colonial power continues to deny the right to self-determination of the people it has colonized. ... It then follows that the way to ensure the liberation of the Palestinian people is only through all-encompassing decolonization, uprooting the root causes of Israeli apartheid and colonization as well as Palestinian forcible transfer, and dismantling the political, socio-economic, legal and ideological elements of the colonial-apartheid regime. ... In the Palestine context, it is unlikely that the colonizers will give up their power and privileges willingly since doing so would mean the end of a ‘Jewish state,’ Zionism’s express purpose and goal. Therefore, the Palestinian people, as the people of Palestine, have the right to achieve their inalienable rights in the land. Accordingly, they are the agents who can and should define the pathways and implement the tools necessary to achieve liberation. Nonetheless, during the process of decolonization, the current Jewish-Israeli colonizers can contribute to the liberation of Palestine, inasmuch as they are willing to surrender their colonizer privileges and to actively play a role in dismantling the Israeli colonial-apartheid regime. This is critical considering that post-decolonization, both Palestinians and Jewish-Israelis will constitute the people of the newly liberated Palestine."

Motivation! Tracking and actually posting my progress makes me even more motivated to study. Because pretty pictures make everything better!!

Discipline! Honestly, I spend waaaay too much time on my phone. With this blog I hope to make a routine for myself and minimize my screen time, as I´m going to be posting here instead scrolling (hopefully).

Give back to the community! Studyblr helped me discover countless useful tips and tricks, as well as cool blogs that motivate me! I want to share my experiences in my own little corner of the internet for people to find.

find a way to study sustainably, without burning out every other week

get my goal grades on exams and reports

figure out what I want to do in the future (mainly deciding on what I want to study in university)

My Fave Tarot and (Part 2!) Oracle Decks

@discountdemonwarehouse asked me about my favorite tarot decks. I use oracle and tarot decks, sometimes together, sometimes interchangably. This post is long, so this will just be about my fave tarot decks. Feel free to ask me anything about tarot and other occult things!

Difference between a tarot deck and an oracle deck?

Tarot has a fixed organization and consistent readings of each card. Oracle decks are the work of artists/mystics and don't have the same meanings from deck to deck. They are more for a broad interpretation. When I use oracle decks, it's more about a meditation on a theme instead of an answer to a very specific question. But everyone is different on how and why they use what decks they use.

Sorry, I can't list just 3...or 5....I use them when the mood strikes me. Some are more incisive with their wisdom, others are more general and chill.

Fave Tarot Decks

Fyodor Pavlov Tarot Deck My "daily driver" I guess. Beautifully illustrated by a trans Neo-Raphellite artist. They have a super cool IG and Tattooing practice. I got this on Kickstarter but it's now widely available.

Mystic Medleys Tarot by Gary Hall/Liminal 11. If I'm not using the Fyodor, I'm using this one. Beautiful and funny (and insightful!) illustrations. And it's the best LWB (Little White Book of Tarot Meanings) I've ever seen.

Morgan Greer Tarot I learned tarot on this one. Groovy Vintage Tarot Deck with clear, easy to understand illustrations. The colors are so warm and the volumetric drawing style just itches my brain.

Thoth Tarot by Aleister Crowley and Lady Frieda Harris. Crowley taught Harris magickal theory, and this deck is a result of that (Harris has a LOT of input in this, do not ignore her contributions to this masterwork). I love this deck so much, it is very intense but very insightful. It has some of the most profound and beautiful occult imagery I've ever seen. It takes WORK to understand it. The book Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot By Lon Milo Duquette is mandatory reading for it. It is an amazing biography of Crowley and Harris as well as a great introduction to Golden Dawn and Thelema philosophical concepts.

Fave Tarot Decks Honorable Mentions

The Weird Cat Tarot by Gabby Karsh (Buy it ONLY from their etsy! There's knockoffs out there, unfortunately) Karsh is a super sweet artist and I've gotten some comissioned work from them in the past. A fun, funky little deck. I would not recommend it for learning tarot, since the illustrations riff on traditional motifs and are a bit sparse for someone new.

Luminous Void Tarot by Laura Zuspan Absolutely stunning, primal artwork on this one. And the nod to the orginal playing card/ tarrochi pill shape is fun. Honorable mention because like the previous one the illustrations are sparse for a newbie....and also the texture, size, and thickness of the cards make them an absolute bitch to shuffle.

(2) Proof Check - you Need to send me a proof that you are a reader for that send me :

A recent exchange Feedback not a months old with the person you exchange. (Through Screen shots in dm) and (a fresh one).

(3) No scam toleration, direct exposure even if the scammer gave me the reading back.

(4) Exchange Delivery Timeline[For both of us]:-

(3.1) Usual Duration - 7 days/1 week

(3.2) Urgent Duration - 15 days/2 week

(5) Code Condunct of Readings :-

(5.1) 1 question at a time to be asked .

(5.2) The reading to be done in - zig-zag manner .I.e - first you then me ( accordingly who approached first) .

(5.3) Right to deny : For more readings for both of us.

(5.4) Right to Change : the question before the reading is received for that question. [For both of us].

(6) Independent question to be asked.

[For both of us]

(7) length to be matched accordingly.

(6.1) If your reading is short then you have to do more readings for me until the length has matched ; so for me even.

(6.2) If the readers blocks or deny ; scam suspected and exposed .

(8) No readings on the following topics from my side :-

(7.1) 18+ .

(7.2) legal or business related .

(7.3) health.

(7.4) death or loved ones.

(7.5) pregnancy.

(7.6) astrology/numerology.

(9) Reading Will be personal not public , so also mine .

(9.1) No posting off ours personal readings, if you are showing as a proof that you are a reader to an another reader then just colour/ blur our reading parts .

(10) Feedback is mandatory in the ask and dm.

The following rules are made after several reading's experiences , resulted in facilitating comfortable rules for both readers .

Any criticism regarding rules won't be acknowledged .
