so, i’m at work currently BUT i can’t get this out of my head. i read your piece about levi having a wife that no one knew about and everyone was surprised that he actually had a wife and i loved it! i was wondering if you would write something regarding how the others would react to you and levi being together or something along those lines. i just love pieces where the relationship is private until it’s not and everyone is shocked about it.

If Levi Ackerman was one thing, it was certainly private.

Unless he spoke on it, anything regarding his personal life was left a mystery to anyone and everyone.

He kept his emotions and personal affairs to himself, much to his closer friend’s disappointment.

They only ever knew what he was thinking when he would scoff out a snarky response to something being said, followed by the click of his tongue.

Though they’d tried many tactics to get him to open up, and by they I mean Hange, they couldn’t get a peep out of him regarding his personal life.

They all learned very quickly that Levi liked to keep to himself more often than not.

So it came as a shock to both Erwin and Hange when he agreed to accompany them into Trost one evening for a gathering of sorts held in one of the town halls.

What was more shocking, was the way he seemed almost eager to go.

By the time they arrived and made pleasant small talk with other high ranking officials, they soon found out why his behavior had changed so drastically.

After losing the shorter man in the crowd and searching the halls to find him, they were met with a sight they never in a hundred years imagined seeing.

Levi; stoic, cold-demeanor and sharp tongued Levi Ackerman hand in hand with a beautiful woman.

“W-what…how…when?!”

“Close your damn mouth four-eyes. You’ll catch flies.”

He’d walk you closer to them, his expression much more soft and tranquil than normal as he introduced the lovely woman on his arm to his friends.

“Eyebrows. Four-eyes. This is Y/N; my wife.”

His soft tone and loving gaze your way left the two speechless for far longer than they’d have liked to admit.

“So this is why you were eager to come,” Erwin would muse near silently.

Poor Hange didn’t know what to do with themselves as they excitedly took your hand from Levi’s to greet you.

“OhmygodLevinevertoldusaboutyouwellhenevertellsusanythingbutohmygoditssonicetomeetyouI’mHange!”

Cue a slap to the back of the head from Levi and an exasperated sigh. “And you wonder why I don’t ever say anything.”

But what neither of you were expecting, while knowing full well tonight would be the night Levi broke the news to them, was to see Erwin near bursting at the seams with a bright grin.

“It’s wonderful to meet you, Mrs Y/N. I’m glad to see Levi has someone so lovely at his side to accompany him. I’m sure the others would like to make your acquaintance as well.”

You turned to Levi with a raised brow and eager smile, to which he rubbed at his brow with an exasperated sigh.

“Fine, I’ll introduce you to the others. But we’re going home after this; I’ve been surrounded by idiots long enough for one night.”

“You guys have a home?!”

Taking your hand gently in his own, Levi led you away from the babbling scientist and chuckling Commander to go seek out his other companions for a quick meet and greet.

“They’re lovely; Hange and Erwin,” you snickered, squeezing your husband’s hand reassuringly.

“I’m sure you’ll be seeing much more of them, now that you’ve met,” Levi scoffed, leading you on.

But secretly, Levi was bursting with pride and joy watching his friends accept you so easily and excitedly.

And especially, that they’d accepted him for opening up a tiny bit on his personal life.

personal headcannon that jawbone and tracker have like dog allergies (not deadly but think like severe lactose intolerance type reactions) and like people who are lactose intolerant, they will still eat things that hurt them cuz it tastes good which leads me too:

there is a constant battle between jawbone, tracker, and their respective partners over whether they are allowed to have hot chocolate or not.

jawbone: i should be allowed to eat whatever i want. i am a grown man!

sandra lynn (actively confiscating the cocoa he just brewed and replacing it with tea): yes! a grown man trying to poison himself for the sake of hot chocolate.

kristen and sandra lynn are unlikely allies in the war against their partners need for a sweet drink that will ruin their stomachs. sandra lynn is great at hiding the hot chocolate mix where they can’t find it and kristen has spilled every drink that she’s ever looked at so if they do it gets destroyed.

What Video Games I think Jigsaw and the Apprentices would play

Adam - Grand Theft Auto series. He regularly plays GTA Online with Amanda (he is better skilled at driving and Amanda is more skilled at shooting). Sometimes he convinces Lawrence to join. Adam switches between Michael and Franklin when in story mode the most. Adam likes using mods, ReShade and taking far too many screenshots.

Lawrence - Animal Crossing: New Horizons. After a tough day at work and knowing what John does, I doubt Lawrence is big into violent video games. Even then, video games aren't his thing. He only picked up AC:NH cause he likes the cozy vibes. Sometimes, when Diana misses him, he visits her island and they hang out together.

Amanda - DOOM Eternal and the Hitman series. This is the reason she's a sharp shooter in GTA. She loves DOOM and Hitman cause you get to shoot up bad guys to awesome music while bettering the world. Also, she loves doing wacky challenges with the Hitman games (kill everyone while wearing a clown suit also her only weapon is a giant tuna fish).

Lynn - Nintendogs and Cats for the 3DS. She got it originally for Corbette but became infatuated with it herself. It's part of the reason she really wants to get a pet. She got Amanda a 3DS and forced her to make a Mii so that when Lynn takes her virtual pet for a walk she sometimes stumbles into Amanda.

Peter - Hitman series, Metal Gear series and Detective Grimoire series. Peter has always loved media about detectives and stealth and shit. Where Amanda is silly with Hitman, Peter is dead serious. Metal Gear was the series he played as a kid, and Detective Grimoire was just a random flash game he found one day and became shocked to learn it had its own series of video games.

Mark - Party Hard, Dead by Daylight, GTA 5 and Outlast. Mark likes games where he plays as a killer, much to everyone else's concern. He plays mainly as Trevor in GTA 5. He mains Leatherface in Dead by Daylight. He mains them both cause they are both "berserk psychos with crazy weapons".

John - Pokemon, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Sims. John doesn't like violent video games. Period. In Pokemon, he usually sticks to Pokemon that look like cats and dogs. His favourite AC villager is Sprinkles, and he cries whenever one of his Sims dies.

Jill - Like Lawrence, she's not a big video game person. However, Corbette and Diana have both convinced her to play games with them. As their adoptive grandma, she obliges. She prefers stuff like Wii Sports, Wii Fit and Wii Sports Resort. Just cause it's nice, chill and casual.

BONUS: THE KIDS

Diana - Love Nikki, Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Untitled Goose Game. She likes being creative and causing chaos. Her favourite AC villager is Sable. She loves dressing Nikki up into fantasy princesses (but has also done like rockstar criminals). She likes Untitled Goose Game cause "look at the silly goose".

Corbette - Star Stable, Littlest Pet Shop (DS), Zoo Tycoon, Planet Zoo, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Pokemon etc. She really loves animals. Ever since her brother's death, she collects plushies and it was what spawned her love of animals and creatures. She has also played Nintendogs and Cats (3DS) and Breath of the Wild.

I've got that headcannon that Psycho is english. Though I haven't explained why yet. When I was thinking of his origins, I thought it'd be neat if maybe his animator based him off of iconic english killers/horror icons, such as Jack the Ripper and Mr. Hyde. Heck, Psycho may have gotten a cartoon where he did play a Mr. Hyde type character.

I’m thinking about Fig tonight.

I’m thinking about how her legs are probably covered in scars and I’m thinking about how it probably isn’t a secret, and how in middle school the weird demon kid who used to be a cheerleader started cutting herself for attention. I’m thinking about how she was bullied for her horns growing in and how she was shamed into quitting the cheer team and how Gilear, her dad, told her he didn’t want her anymore because she wasn’t his.

I’m thinking about how the first time she did it she probably was doing it for attention because dear god could you imagine walking around with a painfully visibly reminder that you ruined your family but nobody is talking about it? Sandra Lynn wasn’t addressing it and Gilear wasn’t addressing her and she needed to do something to get them to look at her because she was fucking drowning.

She probably walked down the stairs with blood dripping to her knees and Gilear probably did nothing because he was so fucking angry and she wasn’t his kid and he couldn’t bring himself to do anything more than yell at Sandra Lynn that she had to look into it. Sandra Lynn probably didn’t do anything at first either because how could she have fucked up so much that her baby was hurting herself? How could she have failed her so bad? It couldn’t be real. It must’ve been an accident. It doesn’t matter that the cuts on her leg looked like she made them herself, she couldn’t have made them herself. This isn’t real. It’ll all go away soon.

But The way that it looks to Fig, nobody gives a shit about her so now she’s sad, and she’s pissed, and her mom doesn’t even notice that she’s bleeding right in front of her, so she does it again and she goes for her wrists and she makes sure to leave the blade in the pocket of her pants so that her mom can find it in the laundry. She reaches for her dinner with bandaids on her wrists and Sandra Lynn can’t pretend she doesn’t see that so she’s crying and she’s begging Fig to talk to her and she’s saying that she’s so sorry but the damage is already done and Fig feels so alone and she’s made her mom cry again and it's what she wanted but it doesn’t feel good because how could that feel good?

So she actually starts to hide it and her mom doesn’t mention the bracelets on her wrists and it’s getting colder anyway so it makes sense that she’s wearing less fishnets and more ripped jeans. Not the kinds were you can see your legs through the holes but the ones with the jean sewn into the rips. Nevermind the fact that Fig thought those were stupid last year, they’re in style and she’s already dressing so differently now anyway so it’s all okay.

So when fig makes the move to pull the hairnet up over her leg in the cafeteria that day she’s showing off the old scars that fall below the hem of her skirt but everyone is beaten up then. They blend in. It’s a part of the look.

And when Ayda and her finally make it to the stage where she starts to undress her, Fig has to stop to warn her about what she’s going to see because its ugly and she’s ugly and even though Gilear is her dad again and her mom is her mom again she still ruined her family and they aren’t the same for that. Of course Ayda doesn’t care what Fig’s body looks like because why would she, but she starts to notice when Fig is so uncomfortable that she’s scratching at her jeans or she’s pulling at her sleeves and she starts to remind Fig of the ways that she can take care of herself when she feels that way.

Sometimes they fight with each other because why can’t you see that you are fucking amazing and why can’t you see that your mom loves you but Ayda wasn’t there when Fig’s horns grew in. She doesn’t get what it was like. But Fig knows that she’s right anyway and when Ayda reminds her that her mother loves her now and Gilear loves her now, she starts to believe it enough that she actually wants to go talk to that counselor Jawbone set her and her parents up with.

It’s really hard for her to quit because once it becomes a habit, the urge is always there. Ayda never shames her for it but she always, always mentions it when she notices that Fig has relapsed and she tells her that she loves her and she asks her how she can support her even when Fig insists it isn’t a big deal. And truthfully it isn’t because Fig is working on it and falling back is a part of moving forward and even though it’s hard for Ayda to wrap her head around why Fig, beautiful amazing Fig, would want to hurt herself, meltdowns can bring her to the point of self-injury too so she gets it, even if it isn’t one to one, and Fig is getting better and Ayda is learning how to cope too and they're growing up together and they’re healing alongside each other and it’s hard but life is hard and although they’re healing, Fig’s thighs are covered in scars and she is learning to love them.

Headcannons - The Dark Elements/The Harbringer Trilogy

Hello all! Since I'm just getting this blog up and running I wanted to start with something simple and easy to interact with. Feel free to add to this list or message me with your own thoughts and opinions.

As mentioned, I do love to talk about this world and these characters so I'm truly down to chat about anything, so don't be shy.

Also, as a reminder this is all for fun. I'm here to have a good time, so if this isn't your cup of tea that's fine.

Without further ado here are some of my personal headcannons:

Trinity has ADHD - this isn't really a headcannon because it's all but confirmed in Grace and Glory, but I like mentioning it.

Danica and Jasmine are Hispanic.

Geoff left after Abbott died. Gideon was hired to replace him as the resident 'tech guy'.

Layla is a Scorpio. I've tried to do the math several times to figure out what her sign would be and based on the timeline she'd have to be either a Scorpio or a Libra. Yes, this is partially me projecting since I'm a Scorpio. (let me know if you think my math's off though).

Sam was autistic. Based on what we see of him he exhibits a lot of the traits of autism. I also headcannon that Layla is on the spectrum as well and that's part of why they got along so well. I feel like she doesn't read social cues or understand social norms very well, and honestly same.

Cayman fell in love with a human once.

Trinity is Bisexual. You can pry this from my cold dead hands.

Roth plays the piano really well. He also has an amazing singing voice. No one outside of Layla and Cayman have heard him sing.

Morris was on vacation during The Harbringer Trilogy. Because seriously where did he go? I loved him in The Dark Elements Trilogy and he was nowhere to be seen.

Layla prefers to stay at Roth's apartment because she can leave and go places without needing to drive. And it's smaller with a cozier feel to it.

Trinity loves The Last of Us. She played the first video game when she was younger and more recently played The Last of Us Part Two. I think she would appreciate the story telling and the fact that part two is the first fully accessible video game for the visually impaired. Yes, this is me projecting again as I love The Last of Us, never played the video games since my mom never allowed us to play violent games, but the storytelling is amazing.

Layla is a book nerd. I mean all kinds of books. Ranging from fictional novels to comics. She spent a lot of time reading when she was younger.

Since Roth and Layla shared Bambi as a familiar Roth's taken on some of her traits. Nothing too dramatic or noticeable, but he'll sometimes have much stronger human emotions.

alright, hc...what do you think about Levi with a partner that has adhd? as in inattentive adhd?

like...very forgetful, can't focus to save their life, careless mistakes that they don't even notice, short attention span, "smart but lazy", impulsive, very emotional and literally just jumping from one topic to another while talking, withdrawing suddenly and this intensely mood swings man, they're the worst (I have adhd, lol).

basically the whole thing...how do you think Levi would handle that?

At first, he really couldn’t understand what qualified you as a reliable soldier to humanity.

But after working near you; both fresh out of boot camp, and then later outside the walls, he started to understand.

While your attentjon seemed to come and go on matters both huge and small, in the best and the worst of timing, he saw how close of attention you paid to every little detail. Even if it was forgotten for a short time until it became useful to you.

He grew to admire these attributes, slowly but surly growing accustomed to your mannerisms and the charm that came with your accidental inattentiveness. This eventually sparked a friendship, and after some time, feelings.

When he proposed the idea of his growing affections to you after some time to think, he’d have expected your reaction to be simple; either shocked or joyed.

He wasn’t at all expecting your distracted response.

“Well yeah, I knew that. I just figured I’d wait till you said something. But also it’s cause I forgot to tell you that I knew.”

You were refreshing to him, in some way.

He realized he could tell you the same story twice and watch your face light up in amusement if you had forgotten the tale.

Though he might see it as incompetent from others, he appreciated the way you’d sometimes forget to lace a strap on your uniform, or simply became too distracted to finish the job. This always enabled him to fix it for you with the excuse to double check your safety and be nearest to you.

The times your emotions got the better of you, regardless your reaction, helped remind him that it was okay for him to feel things, too. And in this way, he could talk it out with you and vise versa. After some time of this, it drastically reduced his stress.

Whenever you would disassociate or zone out, it gave him the opportunity to really study and admire you; as well as to have a moment’s break from how long you’d been going over the topic at hand. He’d never admit it if you ever zoned back into reality and caught him, but he adored examining your side profile when you’d cut yourself off from a conversation you’d been having. It was endearing, really.

Your occasional mood swings gave him entertainment at times, as well. Not that he would ever laugh at your expense, but watching you go from bouncing off the walls with excitement to kicking your feet through the grass with a scowl always kept him on his toes. Something he really appreciated, as being complacent in any way bothered him.

Your relationship with Levi constantly kept him curious and observant. He was never bored, never forced into a repetitive loop of events. With you, every day had a new adventure.

Whether that adventure was ensuring your saftey and reminding you to maintain your health on a daily basis, or listening to you ramble on over one of your hyper-fixations in the earliest hours of the morning when you decided sleep could wait. And decided for him that he could do the same.

He would always pretend to be disgruntled by it all, but the way he stared into your eyes with such adoration and excitment rimming his irises behind closed doors told you all you needed to know.

You made him worry about things he’s never considered before, opening his mind to new topics and ways of doing things. And he wouldn’t change that for anything.

His fellow veteran associates would catch him with his hand on the small of your back to protectively walk you from one side of the room towards the other, or tying up your hair for you on the field when you’d forgotten a band for yourself.

He was always prepared, but now that he was with you he took many more precautions. And it made him feel useful to you, no matter how big or small his gestures were.

Levi was always an attentive man, but your ADHD now had him conditioned to be even more so.

He saw it as a challenge some days, always watching and guarding your six. But he loved a good challenge, and always rose to the occasion without any prompt.

ADHD and all, Levi’s devotion to you would grow stronger than any attachment he had to anything else. You made his protective side come out, yet softened him all the same with your adorable antics. Through every struggle, he was there to support and help.

You were his favorite challenge; his favorite investment.

some Bad Girls accesory headcannons:

adaine

doesn't need glasses but wears blue light ones because the light gives her migraines. the glasses are round silver wire frames that she has broken and cast mending on too many times

she loses her glasses constantly so gorgug made her a glasses chain so they can just hang when she's not wearing them. it has little star charms and blue and silver beads

it's my hc that adaine didn't actually give kristen her pinky back, keeping the philange instead so she has the bone on a little necklace she wears. its morbid but sweet.

she has a leather book holster that ayda made her after she complimented her's so that they are matching. keeps her spellbook in it

has three bracelets from kristen: a red rubber 'vote for applebees' bracelet as well as two woven friendship bracelets, a purple and blue chevron as well as a orange white and blue striped

elf ears are... so stupidly sensitive so she has a hard time wearing earings but she does steal fig's ear cuffs a lot

kristen

wears dog tags with jawbone's number as her emergency contact in case anything happens. he doesn't legally have custody but its a safe way of making sure he gets called over her parents

got her septum peirced with fig in leviathan, was originally a silver barbell but had to take it out when she realized the silver meant that tracker wouldn't kiss her, so wears a little golden hoop instead

has six trillion bracelets. most of them are friendship bracelets she's made herself, but she also has a rubber sig figs bracelet, a pony bead bracelet that says 'little shrimp' as well as a 'WWCD?' she made with her campaign rubbers

bad at wearing rings but has a number of them that she keeps on a carabiner that tracker got her (most of them found in the river while throwing rocks with riz. don't ask her why there are so many lost rings in the river she doesn't question it)

she got rid of her cross necklace after meeting helio but still has the saint necklace she got at first cornmunion. it's saint iree, patron saint of the lost harvest

fig

has one of gorthalaxes guitar picks as a necklace along with a million others

wears rings around her horns, most of which she makes herself but fabian gifted her a few of his that he doesn't wear cuz 'they interfere with my fighting, thank you' that are nice elven gold

has a matching septum with kristen as well as a million other peircings

she. loves. mixing. metals. she wears a million pieces of jewelry and they are all mishmashed but because none of it matches it works

constantly stealing her mom's earings. it drives sandra lynn crazy

hardcore believer in scrunchys over hairties. always has one either in her hair on on her wrist even they somewhat clash with her aesthetic.

wears compression gloves under her fingerless gloves to help with her joints swelling

has a million pins including: some of her mom's old band pins that she let her have, band pins of her own, kristen's campaign buttons as well as kipperlillys but she doodles over those, pins she's made herself out of bottle caps, a little tin skateboard pin gorgug made her, and a red compass pin that ayda gave her that belonged to one of the previous ayda's

(will make one for the boys eventually when i have time to come to terms with riz's new found accessory addiction this season)

Fig is so so careful with her words when she first asks Ayda to come to one of her concerts. Like, consults Jawbone to make sure she’s explaining enough but not overexplaining anything. Ends up with something like “I would really like you to attend my concert on (date). I do know that it might be outside of your comfort zone, and I know that we have agreed to help each other step out of our comfort zones occasionally, which is why I feel like I can ask. However, I know that it might be a step too far out for you and you will not offend me if you say no to this. But I absolutely would enjoy the knowledge that you were there, listening while I play.” Ayda is touched by the care she puts in, and says yes. Fig makes sure to introduce her to Zelda, beforehand, so she knows she will have someone familiar wherever she ends up. She gives options of sitting backstage, in seats, or near the stage. She even makes sure Ayda has access to ear plugs and noise canceling headphones, if she wants them. They go to a local rare book store in the town they’re visiting before the concert, and Fig is so happy to just watch her girlfriend look at old books for hours. Ayda has a great time, especially since Zelda is there, but only attends the occasional concert. And Fig is absolutely content with her doing this.

Fig has a tendency to “sneak” off to Compass Points, on Leviathan, some weekends when she has nothing else going on. The reason “sneak” is in quotes, is that she always shoots Gilear a text before she does it. However, she tends to do it on weekends when she already knows he left his phone and keys at school, or gets incredibly lucky and he just doesn’t check it because it’s under a floorboard somehow and Cathilda hasn’t found it yet. Sandra Lynn is getting fed up with this habit. Gorthalax honestly thinks it’s funny.

Ayda is always excited to find out what Fig is learning in her classes. She is fascinated by how things are taught to young adventurers, especially since she is entirely self-taught. This actually causes Fig to go to one bard class a week, just so she can answer the questions that Ayda asks, because she adores the look Ayda gets when she’s asking these questions. She also adds a wizard class, in addition to the barbarian classes, just so she can see if Ayda is missing anything by not going to school (she isn’t, but Ayda is touched that Fig thought to check it out). Fig’s homework grades actually also go up as a result of this.

Often, their dates will entail sitting quietly in Mordred, or at Compass Points, while Fig writes music and Ayda does research. They bounce ideas off of each other, not really looking for specific feedback, just needing to say things aloud. They both always feel the most inspired in doing their work when this is how they work. But they do get distracted and make out a good 50% of the time.

this is such an interesting idea!!

~ first of all, i think that they would all be kinda close in their younger years

~ toby was always kinda protective of zara when they were teenagers. like he would be the kind of brother to kinda have to hunt down every guy she liked and beat up anyone who messed with her, even if he was younger and lowkey not very intimidating

~ one of the only things that toby and skye had in common was their taste in food

~ toby was always being told that he didn't look a lot like his sisters when he was little but he was always determined that he did (we all know why he didn't)

~ when they were like 7-10 they did the most intense candy trading during halloween

~ they made a lot of pinky promises over really stupid stuff and the words, "don't tell dad" were spoken a lot

~ zara always called shotgun in the fancy car on the way to school and her reasoning was because she was the oldest

~ they made up a secret language that only they could understand

~ even though they were closer in their childhood, as soon as toby started to be a moody hawthorne teenager they started drifting apart and zara was kinda sad

~ zara and skye basically shared the same clothes because even though they could afford to get their own, they were too lazy to go out and get other ones so they could each have their own

~ they were forced to wear matching clothes for family photos and parties and other stuff

~ also when they were smaller, when zara and skye had arguments, they always tried to get toby on their different sides and he was always super confused and in reality had no idea what was going on

~ they had a little book club, they liked to read the same books at the same time so that they could discuss them afterwards

~ there were definitely intense floor is lava games at hawthorne house (and i feel like this would also happen with the brothers in the future)

~ not only the floor is lava, but they would curate different games for each other like escape rooms and treasure hunts and stuff like that

~ zara now actually wants to get to know toby again now that they know that he's not dead or whatever
