Edogawa Ranpo
Of the three, Ranpo is far and away the smartest, in both intellect and emotional intelligence. It's very unlikely you can hide how you feel about him missing your birthday from him - even if you haven't been dating Ranpo for long, if you're his s/o, he knows you. He can read your mood like a 3-D pop-up book. It's disconcerting but also oddly comforting.
It is very unlikely he forgot your birthday - it's more probably that he was doing a job for the Armed Detective Agency and got so wrapped up in it that he temporarily set aside everything else until it was finished. When Ranpo is chasing an interesting case it's nigh on impossible to get him to focus on anything else.
Once his hyperfixation ends, though, he does feel a little guilty. You ARE the s/o to the World's Greatest Detective, after all, so logically that means you ought to be celebrated! He gets right to it, roping in poor hapless Atsushi and other members of the Agency into decorating the office for your birthday. Of course he knows what gift you want (and probably makes Atsushi, Kunikida or someone go out and actually buy it. What? He'd get lost if he had to take the train to the mall!) He still takes credit when you praise him for being so thoughtful.
Ranpo tends to be a little lazy and spoiled, but for you, on your special day, he very nobly puts that aside to spoil you for a change. You wanna go do something fun like visit an amusement park or go to a concert? Great! He'll have Fukuzawa pay for tickets! You want to do something more lowkey, maybe chilling at home cuddling and watching movies with him? Awesome, he'll get popcorn! You wanna go out partying and getting shitfaced? Well…he's not much of a drinker, but he'll still come with to dance with you and hold your hair back when you puke. (He'll make Fukuzawa come pick your drunk ass up.)
And don't forget a long, long night of some truly incredible oral - Ranpo's best asset in the bedroom is that tongue of his, so he's going to go to town on you~
Remember to lavish him with praise over what a great boyfriend he is. He needs the validation, okay?
Nakahara Chuuya
With Chuuya he was probably doing a mission for Mori and simply didn't have time to be there or he did forget. His way of making it up to you is simple - gifts. Chuuya is very wealthy thanks to being a high-ranking Port Mafia agent, so whatever you want is yours. That new Prada bag? Done. You want a spa day with all the works? Already booked. Fanciest resturaunt in town? He can just waltz in and get a table whenever he wants.
This may sound all fine and great, but Chuuya may not immediately notice how you're feeling about him missing your birthday - he'll apologise but in a "Oops, sorry, babe!" kind of way and you'll have to be upfront with him if you're actually upset. Chuuya does have a bit of a bad habit of buying your affection when he's too busy to spend time with you, because he's used to people depending on him and being seen as a provider. If you like gift-giving as a love language then you might not consider this an issue, but he does somewhat use his money to assuage feeling guilty and avoid discussing it because he doesn't like seeing you upset.
Also, Chuuya has no memories of before he was seven years old and I doubt very much he got to celebrate his birthdays much when he was running around Suribachi with the Sheep. Sure, he can afford to go ham for his birthday now, and his subordinates gives him gifts (Koyo always buys him wine), but he might not quite grasp the emotional significance of birthdays. Sit him down and explain to him that you appreciate the gifts, but you want him, YOUR BOYFRIEND to be with you, not a credit card.
To make it up to you, Chuuya will give you a birthday fuck that goes on all night. If you have a position or kink you haven't got around to requesting from Chuuya, now's the time, because he intends to make you feel so good you can barely walk the next day.
Akutagawa Ryuunosuke
I'm gonna be honest, Akutagawa is not particularly understanding or sympathetic. At least, not right away.
He grew up in the slums with his kid sister, surviving off scraps and learning to fight from a very young age. Akutagawa likely had no concept of what a 'birthday' even was except just being another year he's managed to survive in the hellhole he was born into. Even now he's an adult and can afford to do whatever he wants to celebrate if he so chooses, he's not a very birthday person. He always buys a gift for Gin and will get something for his superiors as a token of respect (because it's expected of him), and he'll begrudgingly tell Higuchi "happy birthday", but overall he doesn't consider them that important. He does appreciate being given gifts, but doesn't think of them as a necessity.
So if you get upset or angry with him, he's liable to bite back at first. Akutagawa has trouble apologising because he was never apologised to when he was treated poorly, so he's generally not good at owning up to his mistakes. Like Chuuya, you need to explain to him that even if he doesn't place much importance on birthdays, you do and it hurts you that he doesn't seem to care.
That will get to him. For as grumpy and quick to violence as he is, he does care about his s/o greatly and he doesn't want to lose you. He doesn't even know why you love him in the first place, but he isn't willing to throw your whole relationship away over something trivial like this. So, he'll treat you to whatever you want. He's got the money to really spoil you and he doesn't take much time off, so he'll be able to free up his schedule. (Gin will also remind him next time or help him set up a reminder on his phone so he doesn't miss it in future.)
Try not to force him to come clubbing or some other loud, crowded activity. He won't refuse because he feels bad, but he'll ruin the mood by brooding in the corner like a wilting plant and he gets overstimulated and grouchy quite quickly. But he doesn't mind treating you to a posh meal or going on a holiday or something like that.
I hope you don't mind being tied up, because once somebody explains to Akutagawa the concept of birthday sex, he will go find you immediately and use Rashomon to hold you still for hours while he works you over - that's one birthday tradition he doesn't consider frivolous~

I LOVE JUNGLE BOOK SO MUCH - it's actually one of the only instances where I like the movie more than the book (mainly because the books are super depressing - though it is lowkey funny how book!Shere Khan has the exact same death as Mufasa)
So I'm setting the HoM!AU as post-Shere Khan's defeat and pre-Mowgli going to the man village.
Literally all of them ship Yuu with any Savanaclaw Student
So I've said it before but Mowgli's family - Raksha, Rama and his brothers - absolutely adore Jack. They all like to roughhouse with him it's adorable. I personally headcanon that he's twisted from Mowgli's wolf father which is why he's not as villainous as his peers and also why he has a strong sense of justice - plus why he's close to his younger siblings.
Mowgli and Yuu are best friends. He and his brothers welcome her to the pack the same way they welcomed Mowgli and Jack. Raksha's mother instincts are blaring when she sees her so she joins the other animal Disney mums like Sarabi, Duchess and Mama Jumbo in doting on her with maternal affection.
Bagheera (Disney's OG good kitty before Simba - I literally love him so much he has my heart) is like Yuu's cool uncle. He is such a dad (even though his first instinct was to eat baby!Mowgli when he first saw him), the moment he sees Yuu he's like 'must protect'. Seing a mancub that he wouldn't get grey fur babysitting is such a relief and he spends most of his time just chatting with her and preventing Baloo and the rest of his cast from corrupting her. I have a twst!Bagheera OC that Yuu befriends and he's like this cool senior that warns her of dangers of possible predators.
Baloo is ecstatic to have another mancub to impart his wisdom onto :D (lowkey think that he would be friends with Timon and Pumbaa since they have similar life philosophies of taking it easy and stuff). Yuu thinks of him similarly to how she thinks of Coach Vargas - fun uncle who means well and she probably shouldn't get any advice from.
Kaa tried to eat her when he first met her but was then stopped by Minnie and Bagheera. Yuu's learned her lesson with Jamil when it comes to staring into the eyes of a snake. He and Sir Hiss are snarky snake besties and get snek cuddles around her neck privileges.
Shere Khan with Yuu is: No mancub allowed *sees Yuu* one mancub allowed. He's like a platonic tsundere where he pretends he doesn't like her but still loves it when she gives him head scritches.
I feel like Shere Khan has a love hate relationship with Scar. Tigers are actually stronger than lions are and have been known to beat them in fights even though Scar is, by twst lore and probably also Disney lore, a more important figure and much above SK in the villain pecking order so there would also be that whole fighting instinct over the hierarchy between them. This fighting instinct is also included in the whole Custody Battle™ because they both keep on making jabs at the other's expense (Shere Khan likes to say that Yuu deserves better than some lion whenever Scar is near him). The two of them are also best friends - it's hilarious. It's also funny to watch them gripe about Tigger and Prince John who they both consider the embarrassments of their species.
The elephants are cool. They hang out with the other Disney elephants (like the ones in Dumbo and Lion King). I forgot his name but that baby elephant that Mowgli befriends is totally bffs with Dumbo and the two of them like to play with Yuu and Mowgli together.

madatowa drama cd notes as someone who has very limited jp knowledge. i am simply using my 4 yrs of high school japanese, google translate, and a dream. just posting this for fun so it’s not like an official translation or anything it’s just basically me describing what’s happening to the best of my ability and also being insane about them
major events that happened that i could make out as like a tldr
-mada reunited with someone he knew when he was little
-towa learns abt mada’s past, mainly around a guy named “kurahashi”
-mayu eiji and kotarou appearance :D being sillies as always
-two yowie moments. first one in an alleyway second one presumably in their home. both are freak nasty as usual madatowa shenanigans

-LOTS of fighting noises in this
-towa and mada have a coffee and say it tastes like shinkoumi. some dudes come up to em and try to fight
track 2+3
-somebody notices them and gives them a job. presumably to fight people
-towa fights some people and it riles him up
-this part has already been translated but i just wanna scream abt it here bc!!!!!! towa brings him and mada into like an alleyway or something and he goes “hit me. it has to be you.” and mada says something like “you really are a lost cause/what am i going to do with you, huh?” hits him n his mouth fills with blood and towa kisses mada to make him taste it dnnsjdjd ❤️
-they have a quickie in the third track in said alleyway like the freaks they are

-a character (acquaintance of mada) called him “kei” which was kinda crazy to me since nobody called him that in the vn
-theyre in south america i believe? it’s funny in drama cds when they go to a country outside of japan and still speak japanese

-from what i got: madarame and kaga had a promise. lots of talk abt this promise. lots of talk abt madarame’s history with his siblings and takasatogumi. this entire bit is probably really interesting lore wise but i can’t understand most of it…💔 apologies
- enter madarame from the distance to save towa from this dude’s grasp

ok so. i’m not gonna give a full review since i didn’t understand all of what they were saying but i saw on twt some people are going to start translating it? so perhaps i’ll relisten once a translation is out and give my full thoughts but as of now i loved it regardless. i missed towa and madarame a lot i love their dynamic 💔 just a bunch of freaks fighting mfs occasionally and going anywhere but still sticking beside one other. im rly glad i actually bought it because i get to listen to it whenever AND it’ll probably feel like the first time once i finally listen to it along with an eng translation so i actually know wtf is GOING ON
anyways hi and thank u if u read this whole thing. ’m gonna buy the rest of them soon and also make a review post but probably not as long. the reason is because god i MISSED TOWAS VOICE SO MUCH LOL i must hear it again. that is all

— always is wearing a silver necklace. it’s a simple, thin chain that is almost unnoticeable, but he is never seen without it.
— has scars all over his body. they’re not battle scars. they start from his face and go all the way down to his feet. if you were to see his entire body, you would see that most of the scars are single lines that do NOT disconnect from their starting point. they run almost continuously. for example, the scarred line that starts at his face goes all the way down to his feet, without being “interrupted.” origins are unknown.
weapon: a sword that was passed down from shanks and given to him as a gift. he doesn’t know the proper name of it, but it looks like a regular katana. he has never drawn his sword in the series yet, seeing as he only reveals the blade when he is out to very seriously maim, torture, or kill his enemies. the katana radiates an intimidating aura and anyone around [name] can feel it.
standard outfit: just jeans and a t-shirt, nothing crazy goes on here LMFAO or whatever you wanna envision him to be wearing.
abilities: have not been completely revealed, but it does have something to do with water. this explains his ability to control people’s bodies, seeing as their blood and overall body mass has a high percentage of water.
— he has some control over sea water, but only for short bursts of time.
— he is not completely immune to the effects of sea water, though. if he is submerged in it for a long enough period of time <a couple of minutes>, then he will begin drowning and sinking just like a devil fruit eater would.
— did not eat a devil fruit. the origins of his powers are unknown at this time.
— skilled swordsman, source: trust me bro. but seriously, he doesn’t just swing around the sword, even though we’ve never seen him use it, he’s generally very good with weapons of all kinds — but has a specialty in blades.
— has been seen using geppo, soru, and shigan.

— its not that he only drinks coffee and not anything else — like booze, its just he doesnt like the taste of booze. he can drink it, but he wont like it.
— if he were to live in the real world, he would have a job in child protective services. he cares a lot for children. plus he feels the natural instinct to be protective of those around him.
— he can tell if there is anybody nearby due to how he is able to see water concentration to a certain extent. that is why whenever he squints in the distance or at the water, he is looking for something to pop out and is expecting to see someone/something.
— is really offstandish when it comes to strangers. it takes a lot to get trust out of him, but if it’s someone that luffy or the others trust, then he’s quick to lower his guard.
— finds it really amusing whenever chopper, nami, or usopp run to hide behind him when they see any enemies. he doesn’t mind it, but still thinks its really funny whenever it happens.
— he enjoys pissing off zoro, but never brings up their past fight. to him, it was a silly thing that happened in the past so he doesn’t hold it over zoro’s head, plus he saw how much it affected the swordsman.
— hates manspreaders → has a chronic, worst case of manspreading anyone has ever seen
— has the highest debt to nami in the entire crew (somewhere in the 300-400,000)
— the tattoo over ace’s heart are words that he and ace shared with each other (”together in chaos”) when they were children (LOOOREEEE)
— wants to start working out with zoro, but due to their recent adventures hasn’t had the chance to :(
— unlike luffy, he has no qualms in killing his enemies. he wishes he were like luffy in this sense, but he is paranoid that these people will come back for him, or worse — the crew, so he eliminates them when he can.

A doorbell going off ended up interrupting your moment with your companions, earning a startled jolt from you.
‘oh? who could that- oh my stars-!’
“i forgot niran was coming over! Σ(O_O)”
You quickly set your pets down, practically skating to the door in your fuzzy knee socks.
“niran!”
“y/n, hello! it's a pleasure to see you again! :D”
“likewise! please, come in!”
You beamed, gesturing for him to come inside.
“man, your outfit’s nice, even on a rainy day! you always smell so good too!”
You cheerfully spoke as he closed his petal patterned umbrella and stepped onto your welcoming ‘beware of rock eater’ mat.
“why thank you! i try to dress for the mood! today is.. comfortable, and despite the weather, bright. (๑˘︶˘๑)”
He bowed with his hands clasped together before following you in, immediately taking his shoes off and continuing.
A picnic basket hung from one of his arms, seemed to be filled with flowers and food.
He wore a baggy pastel yellow sweater with loose-fitted brown pants and sandals. His hair was also tied back, a peach colored flower clip holding it into a wispy bun.
You on the other hand… You just wore what you slept in; a dark purple nightgown that went down to your calves.
No worries there though, it was just Niran, and you two were close anyway.
He came over every now and then, usually while Sloan was at work. You two would chat over tea and catch up on each other's lives, sometimes baking or even studying something together.
One thing you really piqued his interest with was your love for witchcraft. In return, his notorious green thumb is what had yours.
Naturally, both of you working with the Earth and the life on it led to the blossoming friendship you two shared, being the best of spiritual friends.
“i was just about to start brewing the tea for our chat today.. how's it going?”
You asked, leading him to your kitchen’s coffee table and quickly pulling out chairs for you both. You then stood by the counter, frantically pulling out mugs and boiling water for you both.
“i’m doing wonderfully! thank you, my friend.” He sat down gently, setting down his basket on the table to quickly pet the vase of roses at the table.
The growing buds on the plant seemed to like Niran, sprouting open as he touched them. He pulled his hand away, careful to not turn your entire kitchen into a greenhouse with just his fingertips.
The flytraps (and other plants) on the counter across also seemed to like him, slowly moving their heads to face him as if he were the sun.
“i brought some plants that were freshly picked from my garden! their flavors would compliment that delicious tea you always make. maybe you could use some for your spell work as well?”
He opened the basket, pulling out an assortment of different herbs and flowers.
The smell of lavenders, jasmines, mints, lemon balms, chamomile.. It was an ongoing list of the smells that hit your nose, and you took them all in graciously.
“ah, thank you, niran! these are all so.. lovely! and they smell amazing.. i could sniff at these for ageess..!” You swooned, now standing over the table with flowers pressed against your nose, making Niran chuckle.
“anytime, my dear y/n! here, i brought some other things you might like too. there's some ginger, cinnamon, cloves, thyme..”
As he continued listing off each item and taking them out of the basket, you drooled.
“phew, it's like you did all of my craft's shopping for me! thank you so much, this is all so thoughtful, genuinely!” You cheered, throwing your arms around the silver haired man.
“really, anytime! i know you really enjoy what you practice, and your skills from it has helped me many times in the past. so, if anything, thank you.”
He returned the hug, patting your back with a close-eyed smile.
“ahh, you’re literally one of my biggest supporters! what would i do without you? how, uh.. how could i repay you? this is all too kind, ya know..”
You pulled away and looked to the side in embarrassment, your hands still on his shoulders.
He put a hand on top of one of yours, his smile still gleaming.
“well, if you really insist, how about a reading? if your energy is up to it, of course.”
You looked back at him, constellations in your eyes.
“you bet! i’d love to do a reading for you! let me just grab the decks from my room!”
Niran watched as you rushed back to the table with your arms filled with decks of cards.
He would have offered to help you with carrying them, but you seemed to have had it handled in your own orderly way..
“okay, so! this flower themed tarot deck is definitely speaking to me, let's set that one aside..”
You started separating the pile of decks on the table, mumbling to yourself over what cards you felt fit Niran’s energy.
“this lunar oracle deck can come out too! full moon’s tomorrow, and the cards are pink! so it'd make sense..”
“medieval themed oracle cards..?? ehh.. too classy and old, i dunno about that on-”
“OOH! but but but!! we HAVE to use these cherry blossom themed set of cards for you, niran! wouldn't you agree?!”
Truthfully, Niran didn't mind what cards or tools you used to read his energy.
“of course, y/n! those blossom cards are lovely. i trust whichever ones you decide to use, since your judgment has never once let me down.”
He chuckled, clasping his hands together with an accepting smile.
He's trusted your intuition for years, and your empathetic senses have definitely rubbed off on him too.
You've gotten him through hard times you didn't even think were possible for such a passive person, especially for one who is so in tune with their own frequencies to the planet.
He went back to sipping at his tea, watching how you quickly put the decks you didn't plan to use back in your room, returning with a box of incense sticks.
Something in the air felt a bit off to him already, but he wasn't quite sure what it was.
Your home felt safe and comfortable, but your aura felt.. bothered. It was written on your face as well, but he wasn't going to mention it right away.
“hmm. since i have yet to ask you.. how are you doing, y/n?”
He asked, observing you as you sat back down and hastily laid out the three decks you chose for him.
“whew, how am i?” You repeated, pulling out a stick and lighting it, circling it around the card boxes on the table.
“i wiiisssh i could say i wasn't thrown off but.. niran, you honestly wouldn't believe what sloan did to me this morning..” You shook your head, knocked on the tarot deck box, and pulled out the cards.
“oh? that.. already doesn't sound good.” He crossed a leg over the other in his seat, taking another sip of tea.
“mhm. you know those jars of water i had curing under every full moon for 3 years? the long-term salted ones?”
He nodded, his eyes falling onto your fast hands, shuffling the cards face-down.
“well! guess who randomly decided to wake up this morning and take them to work? sloan did.” Your shuffling got quicker after a card flew out onto the table.
“what's even worse? they literally boiled an egg with some of the water! and FED IT TO ME!!” Two more cards flew out.
“goddess only knows what they took the rest for! could you believe that??! who even does that to a witch, ya know??!? what's the big idea?!?” You gritted your teeth, not noticing another card flying out.
The rain seemed to fall harder the more you ranted about your current frustration with Sloan.
Niran noticed this, taking a quick glance at how much darker it suddenly turned outside through the kitchen window.
You however, did not. Your eyes were closed as they usually were for card readings, in hopes of helping you focus more on what energy you were working with.
“it's just so crazy to me to think that we've been together so long, and i went over this with them before too!” Another card plopped onto the table.
“i told them ‘please don’t ever mess with any jars of water i leave around the house' when we first got together.. and what do they do?! they mess with it!!! what if they quit their job to go and boil eggs for other people with my fucking water!?” Your angry shuffling became difficult for Niran’s eyes to keep up with.
“they already made it to my himalayan salts AND my salt lamps! how do you think they broke their teeth? it wasn’t even a rock, it was a salt lamp, niran, a salt lamp!"
He was convinced the lightning would've struck through your house if you had kept going, but he didn't dare to interrupt a.. clearly agitated witch.
"..but my water?!? really?? salt is easy to get back, but not all of that moon's energy! i took my time preserving it because i take my waters seriously!”
You smacked the last card on the table, getting startled by the thunder outside also slamming down in sync with your hand.
This snapped you out of your rant and back into reality, your eyes widening in realization..
“o-oh! wait- i-i’m so sorry! geez, the weather's really gotten to me today, huh?-”
“no, please, feel free to continue!＼(٥⁀▽⁀ )／”
“..huuh? (〇_ｏ)”
Niran had reached across the table, gently taking the rest of cards out of your grasp and placing them aside. Then, he held one of your hands with both of his, that welcoming glow still on his face. (.❛ ᴗ ❛.)
“your craft is most effective when your energy is at its truest and realest display, am i right?”
“u-uh.. uh-huh..?” You nodded, surprised at Niran’s understanding.
“then please, if voicing your frustrations would help you connect more closely with your practice, i’m happy to listen.”
You looked down at his hands, then at the six cards laying out on the table.
“i- uh- sorry, and thank you.. i’m grateful that you get me so well.” You rubbed the back of your neck out of embarrassment and looked to the side.
“of course, y/n! you are always welcomed to let your emotions flourish around me.”
He held his face and leaned on the table in content. The soft smile he wore hadn’t left since he arrived. (ᵔ◡ᵔ)
The six cards were laid out with their faces downward, three above the other three.

You flipped the first row of cards upwards, revealing the knight of cups, the fool, and the tower, all reversed.
“hmm.. the knight of cups is the protagonist of our reading today,” you closed your eyes again with a hum, “they are ambitious and filled with passionate energy for something, but they are also reckless and.. venturesome.”
“this leads us to the fool. they don't feel like a separate person, but rather, someone who the knight is on the path of becoming. their ambition leads them to.. a lack of direction, and forgetting the consequences of their actions.”
“heh, sounds familiar.” Niran chuckled.
“pshh, i know right?” You opened your eyes, rolling them.
“when they become the fool, they bring.. crisis, and they bring it very soon.” You rubbed your chin, your eyes dancing between the cards as if it were a movie only you could watch.
“this is the tower card, and it represents some sort of inevitable disaster. we can see the fool is approaching it, so.. i say, the fool’s obliviousness is what will lead the tower to fall.”
“it doesn't feel like a mistake or.. anything malicious though..” You looked to the side, your eyes catching onto Sloan's ‘i can dig that!’ mug in the dish drainer.
“it just feels like.. destruction, one that is well needed in order to learn some kind of lesson.” Your eyes went back to the cards on the table.
“I see.” Niran kept observing your movements, choosing to wait until the end of the reading to speak his mind.
“the tower falling only brings change, and this can be both great and not-so-great. there's unavoidable loss, but also a new beginning to something.. naturally, the fool won't see that right away."
“it feels like they'll need time to process their guilt.. to understand that misfortune is a part of life, and that's where the wheel comes in.”
You turned over the second row of cards, not needing to see them to know that the next one would be the wheel of fortune.
All of them were also reversed.
“the wheel of fortune represents bad luck here.. sometimes, there's just some things that happen in life that you can't control, whether you caused its awakening or not, ya know?”
Sloan had found themselves a beauty, one that they were sure their witch at home would love.
It was a palm-sized geode, just small enough to fit into the rims of the water-filled jars.
But, what made this geode special? With all of the other geodes and clusters of stones overflowing in their bag, what made the adventurer stop and swoon over this specific ore?
Well, they always loved it when crystals they planned on bringing home for you ended up having funky shapes, especially when mined in halves.
They've brought you star shapes, cloud shapes, diamond shapes, even animal shapes!.. but never a heart shaped one before, and that's what this one was.
It was a heart shaped cluster of celestites.
Celestine is a sky-blue mineral, said to be formed by pieces of the heavens that had fallen to the Earth ages ago.
They knew this because it was on your master list of gemstones you wanted to add to your collection.
‘..moldavite, black opal.. star hollandite quartz, aventurine.. oh! would you believe that i have yet to own a piece of celestine?!..’
They memorized the entirety of your list, but that segment of it is what made their findings click to them.
It wasn't the rarest or most expensive stone to own or anything, and they admired that you wanted crystals like it for its spiritual aspect over its worth.
That's apart of what made them fall in love you.
Even when you guys first met, Sloan had all of the money in the world from their adventurous style of living.
People were more than happy to pay them for the joyful risks they took on their life in order to uncover artifacts from the past.
Despite this, money truly didn't matter to them. It never changed them as a person, nor did it change you.
That, along with the interest you two shared in rocks and bones is what brought together your relationship with them.
More specifically, you studied the spiritual and emotional attributes of crystals, and this opened Sloan’s eyes to a new world of caving.
Most of their life was spent being an archeologist after all, so their studies strayed more towards the physical attributes and formations of rocks than spiritual.
When you told them about how you practiced using crystals to align your energy for all sorts of occasions in your life, their jaw dropped.
It was like their life of eating rocky road ice cream was changed with you showing them more flavors.
‘HUH?!? ROCKS CAN.. DO THAT?!?’
‘duh?!? our planet is constantly moving at different frequencies, along with all of the things on it! that includes us, and the rocks that we live on.. i'm surprised you didn-’
‘what would happen if i hypothetically ate a rock that wasn't matching my vibe!?!’
‘👁️👁️’
‘👁️👁️’
The talks you two shared about how the origins of rocks and their metaphysical meanings correspond together just clicked buttons in your brains that decided you two were soulmates.
Sloan could listen to you rant for hours on how the colors and shapes of different crystals determined their meditative uses, all while confidently being able to explain how they were formed to you if you asked.
Of course, you'd ask with your ears wide open every time, happily willing to listen to them.
Each time you gave them your fullest attention and actually seemed interested in their rocky rambles, they felt their heart race even more for you.
This turned into museum dates, fossil hunting dates at the beach, crystal shop visits, and even picnics where you two would go searching for bugs to keep together.
Sloan had never spent so much time tuning into their element with someone like this before.
Eventually, they found themselves in your house one day, laying on their stomach in your bed, shirtless and comforted by your aura.
You sat closely next to them, a bowl in your hand, filled with crystals that they had gifted you after every date.
Then, you started lining gemstones on their back, giving them sweet little back rubs and telling them about the chakra roots of each one.
(You also had to control yourself from not touching all over their muscles..)
In response, they spoke more slowly and calmly, which was surprising compared to their usual quick, excited talks with you.
‘..and this one? works really well with clearing your throat chakra, whether your sick or feeling shy, it works miracles in getting your words out-’
‘mmmh… is it.. a turquoise rock?’
‘yeah! :D’
‘hnngh, i figuureedd.. that one probably took millions of years to form, since water has to driiipp it's way into rocks, making oxygen go bye-byee.. (¯▿¯)’
They seemed so out of it, but it made you giggle to yourself, knowing you were doing your current job right.
‘thenn? it oxidizes and- ooughh, that's the spot..- it oxidizes and reacts andd.. boomm, bluee.. (o´∀`o)’
The magic you worked with your hands into the knots in their back made their eyes roll back in relief, struggling to focus on their words.
‘ahh, i could marry someone with.. haanddss like youurss~.. this is the liiifee..!’
‘wh- hello??? (ᗒᗣᗕ)’
It took a bit.. okay, maybe a LOT of nervous apologies and indirect confessions for them to actually ask you out after that, but you guys got together in the end!
Even with the new titles of being romantic partners, the way you two bounced off of each other's energies never faded as time passed.
Maaayybee sometimes you'd get onto them for eating away at your salts.. and your incense ashes.. and your crushed egg shells..
But! They always made sure to bring home a new gemstone for you whenever they left the house, and that made your love for them never fade.
In return, you always keep their favorite ice cream in the freezer for them anyway.
Only two hours had passed of them being in the mine, and they already scored their find of the day!
Bonus points since they had the perfect plan for how they wanted to give it to you..
They hastily picked up their tools and jogged back to the entrance, wiping sweat off of their forehead with a ‘phew! ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)’
They stretched for a bit, before hovering over their belongings.
First, they made sure to pack their tools and crystal finds into their bag, putting back on their jackets and dusting off their shoulders for extra ‘feeling accomplished’ measures. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
Then, they hovered over where the jars stood, uncovering the dark cloths and lids off of them to carefully drop different clusters into them, including the celestine.
They held the jar of now-soaking celestine up to their eye, smiling at the thought of surprising you with it.
‘ i hope mi amor likes it!〜(＞＜)〜 '
After refastening the clothed lids back on, they slid the filled jars into their jacket pockets, grabbing their things and zipping back up to their surface with their rope.
They planned on surprising you with what they'd like to call, ‘sloan’s super-duper charged jar of celestine!!’ (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
Niran enjoyed watching you do tarot readings solely for the moments where you basically predicted the cards.
It made the experience more eye opening to how in tune you really were with your practice.
You didn't just read what was on the cards, you read what they were telling you.
“when the wheel decides the misfortune of this foolish adventurer, they'll stumble on five cups..”
“the five of cups appears here to highlight the pure intentions and forgiveness of the fool, but this causes them to clumsily knock over three of said cups.” You picked up the fool and sat it on top of the five of cups..
“they’ll mourn the falling of these cups, regretting their newfound knowledge of misfortune coming back to them threefold, but.."
“maybe it's just, a harsh lesson to be learnt?”
“their belief of the threefold law only stresses them out more, but the two cups left standing are to represent the people they still have in their life-”
“ah, so despite the fool’s despair, they still have support from the standing cups?” Niran asked in a seemingly curious tone, but really, he now had an idea of what, or rather, who your reading might've really meant..
“yup! does this.. resonate with you, niran? someone you know, maybe?”
“hmm.. i'm not so sure.” He was entirely sure, but he was waiting for you to figure it out.
“i see.. well, it feels like.. i'm being told that this person is very likely to beat themselves up over an accident, easily forgetting that they aren't alone.”
“if this reaches you, then the lovers card is here for reassurance, kind of?” You held the last card upright to show him, your other hand going over your heart.
“the lovers tend to bring harmony, but since they're reversed.. they represent conflict and pressure.” You placed it back down in its original reversed state.
“i would take them as a sign to take a break from something maybe? even the most hopeful changes in routine can throw off the balance of what didn’t need a change after al-”

Clay is more entertained by Buster's ridiculous criminal record than horrified and I don't know if that's worrying or just a classic Calloway W

Ruby's death is the only time I can really think he had a legitimate emotional break that wasn't just him being snappy [which is also pretty rare]

Meanwhile, Aziraphale's angry with him for showing up, the gold paint on his cheeks is flaking, losing a contact lens would mean a quick discorporation at the hands of four dozen angels, and isn't this just the story of Crowley's life?

yeah streamers au!!!!! :D i'm thinking all of them also upload their own videos on youtube too, but some originated as streamers and some as youtubers (more streamer au hcs under!!)
like i said in the other post, i think zelda would be analogous to someone like pokimane or valkyrae, and does variety/just talking streams. i don't think she would take advantage of or even be aware of her simps/e-girlism, she's actually very sweet and a just bit naive :'>. she probably already collaborates a lot with urbosa, and has on done a video or two with mipha. i would say she probably started off streaming first and then eventually starting doing youtube to post her vods, then make her own videos
mipha would kinda be like the qtcinderella and urbosa would be like. corpsehusband lowk ☝️😳 mipha does a lot of cutesy stuff like acnh and stardew valley playthroughs, maybe cooking & baking videos, and also like lifestyle videos like GRWM or 'day in the life' vlogs. her first video was a first aid video because she wanted to be a pediatrician when she was younger 🥺 urbosa started off as a youtuber and is one of those like old legendary youtubers who's still around so she's seen the rise and fall of the internet fr. she's very wise and she's zelda's favorite youtuber growing up, role model, and mentor 🥺 mipha probably also watched some of urbosa's videos growing up and cites urbosa as one of her inspirations when she started her own youtube channel :)
revali absolutely started off as a streamer but he excels as a youtuber, as expected. he does a lot of speedrun or challenge streams/videos of video games and i lowkey think that he has beaten quite a few speedrun records, only bested by link who he has an ongoing rivalry with because they keep beating each other's records. revali mostly does stream highlight videos, but every once in a while he'll do a fun little collab video with someone else or on the rare occasion, a vlog or a grwm 😧 someone asked him how he keeps his hair so nice on stream and he was so proud he ended up making a whole video about his haircare routine, what products he uses, etc HAHAHA
link is definitely the type of guy who made dumb little videos as a kid but eventually evolved into a full-fledged content creator with high quality videos and excellent ideas. he definitely does a lot of nintendo game videos (people adore his acnh playthrough series and his collabs with mipha 🥺), but i think he would also upload a lot of like. scenic videos of places he's traveled to or hiked at because he's pretty good at filming and editing. link def found his love for streaming and speedrunning on accident by, get this— watching one of revali's streams 😳😳😳 but he forgets that it was by revali 😭 link is like, This looks fun I want to try, so he does and is actually really good at it. so he ends up streaming the same exact games that revali did and beating his records, and revali would get pissed that his records were getting broken, and thus the rivalry was born!
what daruk does as a streamer or youtube still escapes me though like i just don't know what he would do. i can't even see him streaming KDJHFKJD like what would he do? maybe make reviews videos about old gaming systems, retro games, or reviews on his favorite restaurants or something LOL feel free to offer any ideas for him bc i'm lost lowkey

Hawk Talk
Okay so sorry if this is a little jumpy I'm having a so far two-day long anxiety attack anyway-
We got assigned seating in history and i got sat next to the biggest cunt wad i have ever met i fucking despise her and she's my desk partner
she was cordial and so was i but she has not fucking changed at all
And the cute boy from years ago is still cute and shy and such a sweetheart but he sits behind me ish and to the very far right
So I can't even look at him anymore without anyone noticing :(
And nyxie darling (@whennyxfallsinlove) was right, i was looking at him like a deer staring at headlights the first day because holy shit i REALLY *REALLY* liked him (still do) because he was one of the only genuine boys I met at the time and I was having a really difficult time and yk hanging out with him helped me out since things were happening in my home life that were difficult to say the least
So then the rest of class went smoothly
For math, there is no cute guys
But thats fine because I really like my teacher and he's taught ways to do math that are so much easier
Not only is he funny, but he also REALLY goes into depth of equations and helps out a lot!!
Sooo yeah
I had a mini heart attack bc after I left class I thought my phone fell outta my pocket but the pockets on my jeans are high (since the jeans are high-waisted duh) so it turns out my butt just didn't recognize the feeling since majority of my jeans don't have wider pocket space
But yeah
Anddd then I went to English class
And if you saw the recent small Hawk Talk posts of me interacting with nyxie, you'd know that there are two boys that are lowkey cute 👀
Idk they're cute by my standards but probably not everyone else's lmao
So I feel like I should call these guys smth??
So umm let's call one of them Baseball guy bc he likes baseball and I also didn't wanna ask his name but when I do, I'll probably make a nickname to refer to when I post about him
And the other we'll call D/Dee ig??
So yeah D was funny as usual
And the baseball guy talked more and lanie, him, and I were going through this box
It was a worry box and my English teacher (we'll call her Mrs. K) basically had a chest and put it at our table to write our worries on an index card and put it in there (anonymously, but some kids put their names so now we have Blackmail™️ . Probs won't need it, but it's good to have information on people)
And like she said that we could NOT under ANY circumstances go through it..
But we did 😘
So yeah that was fun because I didnt get caught
so i'm her favorite student while also being a little shit

So me and Lanie started following Cute Baseball Boy™️ to his locker because we're nosy bitches
But then I lost lanie so I sat on the floor until i was found like a 7-year-old who lost her mom at the supermarket
Aaand then we had lunch together !!
But then I found out she thought baseball guy is cute too :(
And idk how to feel about that
So I'd anything happens between them I'm gonna be kinda bummed bc I don't want her to get the wrong idea about me thinking he's cute
So im gonna have to find a way to not like him ig??
Or just keep shit to myself (with the intention of telling y'all every little detail)
Gonna je bummed if they start dating or smth but I'll be supportive nonetheless because they're both my friends and if they're happy then that's all that really matters to me
So anyway
Thus guy across from us at lunch was fucking hilarious
His friend kept putting a plate of school food someone forgot to throw away in his face and he let out the most high pitch ear piercing scream I have EVER heard lmaooo

And like I looked at him like wtf was that dude
And his eyes got SO wide
He kept frantically pointing to the girls that were sitting near him and even his friend 💀
So like that was funny
And then we got to gym !!
We didn't get to actually do anything :(
Basically what happened in PE: got gym clothes, got gym lockers (mine and lanie's are next to each other!!), and watched boys get play basketball (D was playing and he wasn't that bad)
Sooo yeah
Ik I said that I went basic white girl mode and watched the boys play
But like half the time I was just taking selfies on snap and scrolling through tumblr memes lmao
But the other half me and lanie were laughing at the boys clothes and haircuts bc they look like they rolled out of bed and asked a 5 year old to make their hair the shape of a fucking broccoli spout or whatever tf you call it
y'all it was that bad
(we also laughed abt that shit at lunch too)
Oh forgot something
While we were all going into the girl's locker room of the gym i thought lanie was right behind me but when i turned around i had to tilt my head up and look around for her head because she's way taller than me and she was at the very back of the crowd
So i went to the side and waited for her to get close to me
And she literally fucking said
L: damn girl i keep losing you, you're really speedy
Me: yeah i'm short but it means i walker faster than you, you're a fucking giant
L: well yeah to YOU. but like i'm tall enough to be your mom
And I lost it. I laughed so hard bc of the way she said it lol
Soo yeah that was the end of my school day

Pokeani characters at a concert
Credits to @torchickentacos for the concept idea, these are so much fun to make! Feel free to add your own headcanons as well :D
Misty: mosh pit
Brock: hitting on as many women as possible, since Misty is too busy moshing to stop him
Tracey: will not stop fucking taking pictures and videos of the performers. Like at least learn how to turn off flash dude!
Gary: is commentating the music using words like "indie," "reverb," "acoustic" and "blues" in an attempt to sound smart. Is probably wrong about most of it
Goh: keeps trying to fact-check Gary, despite also not knowing enough about music to have this conversation
Chloe: (at Goh and Gary) "oh my god, can you at least wait until after the song ends to argue about this?"
Dawn: keeps checking her phone during the concert (she forgot to turn her ringer off and still hasn't realized that it's an option)
Cilan: got there three hours early to get the best view of the stage and talk to the performers about their craft
Iris: lawn seats or bust. No one else understand her logic (except Mallow, who's the only one willing to join her)
Serena: singing along, knows all the words, probably harmonizing actually. Lowkey fantasizing about her being on the stage instead and slaying a performance
Clemont: sneaks backstage to pitch his new stage lighting invention prototype to the crew
Bonnie: also snuck backstage, unbeknownst to Clemont. Gets them both kicked out after asking the lead singer of the opening band to "take her brother," whatever that means
Lillie: buys earplugs for the whole group (bless her for being smart)
Sophocles: cannot see a thing, grumbling to Lana that people over 5'0" should have the decent fucking courtesy to stand in the back
Kiawe: offers to carry Sophocles on his shoulders so he can see
Lana: sees this and hoists herself onto the nearest friend's shoulders without warning. It's Lillie, who's taken by surprise at first but agrees to carry her, at least for a bit (I used a random number generator for this one)
Gladion: probably complaining that the music isn't cool or deep enough for his vibe
Ash: stayed home to train his Pokémon

(grabs this) CASHING IN ON THIS TO RANT ABOUT DESIGN DETAILS
This is me looking through the character refs and pointing at all the little things I apparently did while drawing them because DAMN putting some of these side by side puts things in perspective.
This gonna be a LONG ONE boys, and very much just an analysis of design details. Very skippable read dw.
HEART
okok the one that kickstarted a LOT of my mutuals interest, its Heart!
...I don't have much to say about him asdkjsdf literally what is on the tin. Goes directly from happy little mischievous goober to unconscious, injured, and missing wings. Even the clothes change has an in-universe medical reason, being that they want to keep an eye on the blackened limbs. (and post-Apathy he looks SO SMALL AND FRAIL SOMEHOW oughhh)
The MAIN THING is that pre-ROE is a proper character reference with details and stuff, while post-Apathy is completely stripped of all character that he had. Completely. Its not a character reference, its just a reference.
THE THING I THOUGHT PEOPLE WOULD NOTICE. AND COMMENT ON THOUGH. IS THE NAME TAG I USED FOR HIM
Notice anything different about the name tag? Besides the timeline event?
THE HEART SYMBOL. I changed it from a cutesy drawn emoticon heart to an anatomically correct heart, to represent his change to being only the Physical Beating Heart.
The other thing being that post-Apathy is SIGNIFICANTLY DARKER in colour. There's still purple in it, but its dark and looks a lot less lively than the bright purplish-pink of pre-ROE. (I actually just blended a lot of black in so the purple is still sorta there)
OH and a design detail that I love about Heart's clothes. The EKG heartbeat on his clothes.
A subtle little nod to him being both the Emotional Side and also the Beating Heart.
MIND/PERSEVERANCE
Alright gonna start with again the thing I'm surprised no one commented on. The name tags. Really, there's only one thing here that's important (other than the fact that he changes his name)
Heart's blindfold. It tangles around him and is a reminder of who he is doing everything for. Even in his name the reminder and guilt lingers.
Onto the Mind!
I drew him in an open pose, looking lowkey like how my lecturers do when they're teaching. He's stood straight, dressed cleanly, and has a blazer on. It's hard to tell and I forgot to mention it, but his shirt is tucked in here. Very prim and proper, yet also a little relaxed with his hair down. You could even imagine him scolding Heart here that's what he looks like.
The Axon Dendrites I put on his shoulders are meant to call back to his roles as the Logical Side and the Physical Thinking Mind.
In contrast, Perseverance.
He is TIRED and STRESSED. He has eyebags now, and one hand is holding his temples (I literally hold my head like that when I'm stressed). The stress comes through in how he's undressed compared to his Mind reference. He's not wearing his jacket, and his shirt is untucked now. In the reference I also mentioned that his arms are slowly beginning to rust. Despite the state of undress, he's got his hair up. He's stopped taking care of himself and it is obvious in his stance. The fact that he isn't even looking up anymore, but looking down instead also sells this.
ALSO. Elements of Heart's colours being added to his design. Purple and white.
SOUL/PENITENCE
ough my babygirl. Starting with the name tags again, although this one isn't nearly as symbolic.
Other than a name change, I added a tiny little heart <3. Caring for Heart becomes central to him. (fun fact: initially I had the heart on the tines of the trident, but that just felt too mean) OH and the underline is his trident instead :D
Onto the Soul!
Pre-ROE is just so full of LIFE. He stands openly, his pose is open, you can see all of him. He's covered in color and little personal additions like a starred shirt, dyed clothes, charms, bracelets, and shoelaces. He's happily wearing a skirt. He's got short sleeves and rolled up pants, no fear or need to cover up.
Although... he does have his HMS charms on a chain. Interesting choice, a chain. Almost like he is chained by the dynamic of HMS and the loops-
Anyways, Penitence ref! Again, tws for graphic injury
And he's closed off. Literally, his entire pose is hunching inwards and closed. He's unrolled his pants and is wearing a hoodie that covers his entire arms length. He's closed himself off.
Design elements wise he's wearing Heart's hoodie. It consumes his entire identity. Just the barest hint of his original red colour scheme peeks through at the bottom.
And the chains. There's two now, one around his neck and one at his waist, holding the symbols of HMSW. Soul/Penitence is literally chained by responsibility, both before and after Heartless events begin.
And now for something else about the references that I did which is only obvious is you had them side by side.
Pre-ROE, Heart stands on the left while Mind and Soul stand on the right. Soul is even facing the right side of the screen. It foreshadows in incoming split that happens during Heartless.
Post-Apathy, Perseverance and Penitence continue facing away from each other, despite being on the same side of the screen. This is something I didn't share much yet but it foreshadows a future rift that they will have, as well as the fact that they aren't really improving from who they were pre-roe yet.
Heartless only improves when they ALL change for the better.

ANOTHER HFTH DRABBLE IS HERE!!! 🥳😭😍
Not gonna lie, when I first read the title, i thought their relationship was having troubles and I got worried 😰 until I saw the summary and was like: we’re good 😮💨 my fav couple is fine ☺️
I can totally relate with MC, cause I am somewhat like that with trips too. I like to be organized so I usually take the lead to make sure everyone’s ready, that they don’t forget anything, and nothing goes amiss. Just cause I know that they will ask me about it or ask me for help if something does go wrong.
But I do love Jk being so attentive and really sweet. It’s the small things like still being mindful of her and her whereabouts despite the chaos of his friends and making her a playlist of “their songs” to listen during the trip 🥺 Just the perfect bf. He is also such a gentleman, my goodness. How he is so thoughtful and caring like the opening of the umbrellas for Grandma Jeon and Grandma Park, and the latter calling out Jimin for not being like him 😂
These Grandma besties are both so cool. Who else would go on a trip with your grandchild and their friends and BE THE ONES embarrassed to be seen with them too much that they have to be on different floors 🤣 and it was cute how Grandma Jeon’s shy for Jk to see her dating 😆
All in all, I really loved seeing this adorable couple again, how they’re so in love with each other and being lovey dovey all throughout the trip 🥰 And the others being fake annoyed with all the PDA 😂 Missed them so much 🥹

My sister makes fun of me for making lists before I travel but I am very forgetful 🤣 we were planning a family trip in 2018 and she told me to “start your little list today” 💀
My best friend is a mom and she’s always prepared she absolutely saved me for PTD and D-Day bc I forgot so much stuff 😭
I always have to make sure my gate exists before wandering off to find a bathroom and snacks 🤣 I’ve never flown with a large group of friends so I can imagine the chaos lol the biggest worry would be making sure everyone is on time 😅 but I feel like MC does a good job of handling the group and JK is just so sweet 😭 from the umbrellas to the sunblock 🤣 and ofc rubbing it in Jimin’s face that he’s the sweetest 🤣 yes he’s still Lowkey mad that Jimin wanted MC to be his fake gf for next Christmas
I aspire to be like Grandmother Jeon 🥰 she is truly the life of the party. A rich, unbothered queen with her little chihuahua who definitely spent her time at the doggy spa making friends and eating to her heart’s content 💅🏼
